The 50 best cheap eats in Ubud

One of the well-known babi guling spots in the Ubud area. The place is slightly hidden inside (need to walk past the narrow aisle), but it’s quite spacious with a nice greenery view. In terms of taste, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The spices weren’t as strong and flavorful for my liking. The fried pork were a bit tough (alot), but the meat is tender and plenty. The highlight was definitely the crispy pork skin - BEST I've eaten. If you come too late, the lawar might be sold out and they will replace it with sayur labu. Oh and the soup is similar with sop sayur with carrots and green beans. The price is quite steep (tax included), and fyi they only accept cash payments.

It’s more the full experience and jungle neighborhood for me. Food very good but I miss the earlier days when there was a bit more grit and green banana leaves gave it that extra feel and taste…highly recommend for tourist experience. Loved the papaya juice! But be so careful with the seriously hot and good sambal!

It was really nice food and it’s my first time to enjoy our barbecue cooling that was like pulled pork it’s very soft and very tasty.

We came around 4pm and it was raining hard we had to move table due to the wind. They have spacious seating with many tables and chairs. Perfect for big groups. The babi guling itself wasn't among my favorites, I still can smell the pork from the meat. But the babi guling goreng was so good tho! Be careful, the bumbu was quite spicy compared to other babi guling. Beware if you're not a fan of spicy food.

The location is perfect for tourists who's visiting ubud. Which is near to the ubud palace and ubud art Market.vehicles will not reach to the property so you have to walk nearly 250 m. But it is good. The property ambiance is perfect for tourists. One side of the restaurant is facing toward the nature that's great and other side is with a fish pond and birds wich gives a cool atmosphere. We ate food after 3pm so the food was not hot at all. Better the want to heat the dish especially the pork meat, so overall food experience was not so great.

Very good Babi Guling. This outlet number 3 is my favorite. It’s a little hard to find but is actually the home of Ibu Oka. Nestled in a very green area.

So miserable and deflating to see all the cockatoos chained and stressed. Won't support this kind of business. I left this place being stressed at the end. Also got bitten by one cockatoo while I was speaking to a resident next to the restaurant. When I reported this to a restaurant staff, he said "It is okay. I got bitten too." showing his thumb with a permanent scar. It was the resident who helped putting a bandaid for me. No antibacterial ointment prepared. Babi guling taste was average.

What a great restaurant tucked away from the craziness of the high street in Ubud! High quality food and drinks, served with great attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. We sat at the bar which was great and the bartenders really looked after us 🍸 Don’t skip the lobster dumplings. Probably one of the best I ever had, really appreciated the generous ratio of lobster 🦞 The beef rendang was 🤌🏼 and I really enjoyed my grilled baby chicken. An explosion of flavour in all dishes, without being too spicy.

We had an outstanding experience at Hujan Locale. The local cuisine was exquisite, with fresh ingredients and every dish bursting with flavour, elevated by a touch of sophistication. It’s certainly not the cheapest restaurant in Ubud, but absolutely worth it. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and warm. The setting is charming, a typical local-style restaurant, yet with exceptional attention to detail and a beautifully maintained atmosphere. We tried the crispy chicken and pork batagor dumpling, the slow-cooked beef rendang, and the Acehnese chicken korma, all of which were utterly delicious. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!

I really wanted to like Hujan Locale, but honestly, it just didn’t live up to the hype. Or the price tag. For 330k, I was expecting something exceptional, something that justifies the upscale branding. Instead, what I got felt no different from what you’d find in a good local warung—except here, you’re paying triple for the same experience. The beef rendang, which should’ve been the highlight, was average at best. Flavor was fine, but not memorable. I’ve had rendang from tiny family-run spots that easily outshine this one in both taste and soul. Even the presentation lacked finesse. The ambiance was pleasant enough, but the service crossed into overbearing. The staff seemed to lose their minds over the fact that I had a bottle of energy drink with me—even though I wasn’t drinking it. The way they reacted was unnecessary and frankly insulting. For a restaurant that tries to present itself as refined, that kind of attitude felt petty and off-putting. Overall, Hujan Locale feels like a place coasting on reputation and aesthetics rather than substance. The food is decent, but if you actually care about flavor and value, you’ll find better—and more authentic—meals in the warungs down the street.

Hujan Locale is amazing. The venue is gorgeous and stepping in feels like you’re stepping into another era. The staff are professional and nice - delivering service with a smile. The food is fantastic - each meal providing a different range of flavours and textures. Each dish tastier than the next. Overall we have a GREAT experience and will return. It was on the pricier end of the spectrum but worth every cent - a nice treat!

We were recommended this place and it certainly did not disappoint! We came without a booking but were able to sit downstairs in the bar area and order all the food. The cocktails were great and the food was amazing. Some really interesting and unique flavours all round with too many dishes to recommend! Wish we had come another night to try some more.

We really enjoyed our time at Hujan. We chose the menu proposed and were absolutely not disappointed! Food was very tasty, some of classic Indonesian food but twisted in a very original way. Would definitely recommend it !

In our 2 stay last year and this year, this was the best restaurant we've found in Ubud and Bali in general. Welcoming staff. 🙏 Can be a bit pricey but not overpriced like other places where the food isn't good by the way. Here you'll have great food (at least if you try our recommandations).. 👍 Special mention for the beef rendang, the scallop (starter) and the dessert mango 🥭- coco 🥥 in granite style. Disappointed by the tuna (starter) though, which was lacking a bit of taste and some 'peps' . wish the tuna had come with a sauce similar to the one that came with the scallop... Also, people complaining in the comments are just people without any taste who enjoy Coca, Fries 🍟, and Burgers 🍔/ pizza 🍕 🤦

I really enjoyed my visit to Sweet Orange Warung. It’s a super cozy restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and a beautiful location right in the rice fields. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I ordered the satay with red rice, which was delicious and nicely presented. The portion could have been a bit larger, but the flavors more than made up for it. The prices are also very reasonable, making it great value for money. Overall, Sweet Orange Warung is a charming spot with tasty food, kind staff, and a stunning setting — definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Sweet Orange Warung in the rice fields of Ubud is a charming place to pause and refresh after a walk. I’ve been here a few times before and always loved the unique setting with the fun coconut faces and beautiful rice field scenery. On this visit, I felt the service wasn’t quite as warm as in the past, which was a little disappointing as I had brought my family to share the experience. Still, the atmosphere is special, and it remains a lovely stop for anyone wanting to enjoy the views and relax in the middle of nature

What a sweet little warung! This place is about a 10 minute walk off the main road by Ubud Palace, and the path can be tricky to find, but it truly transported us to another world. It was crazy to think we were in the heart of Ubud among the peaceful rice fields and local homes. The walk also featured some personalized pavers, which were so nice to read. The food/smoothies were great, and the vibe was very peaceful.

Oh my god!!! This place is AMAZING, sorrounded by green fields and palms. I haven't sleep there but i just had lunch and the food was really good as well, all served wirh fresh vegetables from the garden. I would reccomend it also if you want to stop just for a drink, i had the best fresh juice ever (mango, dragon fruit and mint)!!! It's an escape from the noise of the city!!! Highly reccomend it!!

The location of this restaurant is really frustrating. I searched for an hour and a half according to the map and couldn't find the right way around. They changed the address but the map didn't change it. This is really bad, especially when I was almost exhausted. I was very unhappy looking for it. Later, I contacted the staff through Whatsapp but no one came to pick me up. I searched for more than 40 minutes according to their description and finally found it when it was completely dark. The dishes were not as amazing as the online reviews said. It's not because I was unhappy because I searched for a long time, but because the taste was really average and the price was high. Overall, it didn't feel worth it. Don't trusted easy those internet stuffs

We stopped here for a few drinks during the Orange walk. Very nice restaurant with variety of juices. We did not have any food but what we saw passing by looked really good. Staff friendly, a tad slow. The cakes the advertised were all sold out, so dont get your hopes up if you visit in the afternoon (LOL) Review needs info on the rooms, which Incant provide, so not rated.

The restaurant was awesome - great Indonesian food in a picturesque rice field setting, with lots quirky furnishings and lots of friendly resident cats. Since it's entirely outdoors and in an agricultural area, you'll need to keep an eye on your food and shoo away flies frequently but I still appreciated the relaxing sunset views close to, but so far removed from, the hustle and bustle of Ubud center. The walk from the main street in Ubud does start out a little strange through alleyways and a makeshift bamboo bridge, but push through and it quickly opens up to rice fields, farms, and home stays, following a path that will eventually be paved by white stones marked by past tourists (I'm assuming).

Zest Ubud is a place where you instantly feel at home. The location is simply stunning – surrounded by greenery with a bright, open atmosphere that radiates both peace and inspiration. Every corner is warmly and thoughtfully designed, and you can feel the love for detail everywhere. The vegan menu is impressively diverse and truly delicious – every dish we tried was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. A must-try are the Spicy Corn Ribs and the fruit bowls – both are a perfect 10/10! What we especially loved is that plant-based food here isn’t treated as just an alternative, but as a full culinary experience in its own right. Within only four days we visited twice, simply because we enjoyed it so much – which says it all. The team also makes the experience even more special: the staff are extremely friendly, attentive, and create such a positive vibe. For us, Zest Ubud is definitely one of the absolute highlights in Bali!

Our absolute favorite place in Ubud! We’ve tried so many restaurants and cafés in Bali, sometimes 4–5 a day, but after visiting Zest we didn’t want to go anywhere else. The atmosphere is so unique — it can’t really be put into words, you just have to experience it. We came in the morning, during the day, in the evening, even late at night… and every time the energy felt so special. It’s incredibly cozy and makes you want to spend the whole day there, every day. The restaurant is fully vegan — which for me, as a non-vegan, after the third visit meant there was less excitement in trying new dishes — but still, everything is so unique and creative. And the selection of drinks is just amazing.

Some of the best vegan food in Ubud! The vibe is super chill here. Huge selection of great dishes and super amazing flavors. The food is fresh and designed with creativity. The staff and team here are some of the best. They are all super kind, very helpful, and full of smiles!! Great chill music, sometimes great live music. The views are also spectacular!! NOTE to the OWNER; please be aware of guests who sit around all day and take up space who are not ordering food or taking up entire tables with a laptop. It creates a low vibe and encourages a “work vibe”. Maybe make a laptop area only and tell guest who just sit around to kindly be on their way and let other people sit down. I love your concept and beautiful mission. Its a great place and I wish you the best in continued success!

Best vegan food we've had in Ubud. I love that they have so many gluten free options too. Our fave food were the sushi, cauliflower wings (AMAZING) and the pizza. Healthy choices, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere. This place is always crowded with tourists hanging out or working on laptops (in the afternoon). I think both times we visited, once for lunch and once for dinner, we were the only locals :)

Stunning venue, and one of the most beautiful set in a restaurant I’ve seen across the globe. The service was very polite but little bit slow, though that’s not an issue in Bali. The whole piece of life is slow. However, the menu is tasty with a really good selection of vegan food yet was really lacking in protein dishes. They pointed out protein boosts to their foods but really needed some more Tempe and tofu on the menu. Highly recommended though.

The best vegan food I’ve ever had, really, plenty of variations and everything was really tasty. I enjoyed the vibe there, live music, the only thing that could improve it’s the service - went there 4 times and every time it was slow, sometimes no waiter around for few minutes. Was excited to try this place from all the great reviews. The restaurant is in an alley that doesn’t allow cars to go through. The atmosphere and aesthetic were cute. The food though…presentation was great, but taste…bland. We orders chicken sate, soto ayam, nasi campur, and nasi ayam sambal mata. Everything we ate was lacking flavor. We had to order extra sambal just to give the kick that we were craving. The chicken soup had a hint of lemongrass and spice, but not enough to satisfy our taste buds. If you’re looking for ambience and good looking food, this place is 5 stars. But if you want tasty flavorful food, I would not recommend.

This is one is the best restaurant to enjoy authentic Balinese food. The taste is just awesome and yummy. We went there for dinner. This restaurant is quite famous that why there is a huge queue of people waiting for tables in front of the restaurants in peak hours. We had to wait a little bit longer as we requested the tables facing the street so that we can get view of street while having our dinner. We ordered Mie Gorang (Veg and chicken noodles), it was very tasty. The price is also reasonable as compared to other restaurants.

Nice little Warung in the city of Ubud. The popcorn chicken with curry sauce is nice. If you look for a little spicy sauce you need order «Merah sauce». Pork ribs are nice as well. You also got a lot of veggies side dishes that are really yummy and tasty.

If you want to try local food in Ubud, thats the right place. We tried 7 different dishes and two large bintang beers for only 280 rupiah. It is a small place, a popular one, thats why finding a seat is not very easy. Service is a little bit slow, waitresses are kind. Overall I was very satisfied with the experience. Very delicious, clean, authentic local food.

I loved it overall but certain things need improvement. 😇 I absolutely loved Pelmeni dumplings with jackfruit&mushroom which came with sour cream and butter sauce! 10/10 but i was dissappointed by the stirloin steak i ordered :( first one came completely cold and when i told the waitress it was cold, she immediately took action and they served me another one, second time the food was served warm but the meat was not as juicy as i was expecting but overall the staff was very welcoming, they seemed relaxed and friendly. Also the place has a cozy vibe, especially in the evening! They have a lot of different options to eat&drink. Thank you!

Excellent spot for any time of day. Their menu is so wide ranging that no matter what you are craving they probably are serving it. Never had a bad meal here over our month long stay in Ubud. Service is great. They bring the card reader to you when you check out if paying by card.

I loved my experience at KAFE. The staff were very polite and welcoming. I enjoyed my tandoori chicken wrap and lemon, ginger and honey elixer. They have good wifi and two floors of seating, I was able to get a 5 hour work session done peacefully. Highly recommend the spot.

I love Kafe! I would come almost every morning during my stay in Ubud and sit on the cushions and drink matcha and read a book. I will definitely miss here but excited to come back when I'm ever in Ubud again. Highly recommend!

This is my favourite cafe in Ubud. It consistently serves good meals in an unpretentious setting. The vibe is very down to earth. The staff are attentive and relaxed. I never feel a trip to Ubud is complete until I’ve eaten here.

Stopped by KAFE on Jalan Hanoman ☕ Cozy atmosphere and really good coffee, simple, consistent, and always satisfying. A nice spot to take a break while exploring Ubud’s busy center.

My wife has a severe peanut allergy and this is the first place in Bali that catered for it and cared. The food was also absolutely phenomenal. I’m not even joking. Each dish was instagrammable and the taste was second to none. The service is worthy of Michelin star. Well done to all the staff that work there. It’s an amazing place and I can’t wait to come back before we leave. The drinks were sensational too. Honestly I can’t rate this place highly enough. Thank you once again for an amazing meal. My wife will talk about this his for decades, and so will I. If you’re in Ubud you MUST have a meal here.

Friday night at Donna was amazing! The staff were very polite and have great knowledge of the menus. The food and drinks was 10/10 downstairs in the restaurant area. Upstairs cocktail bar was 12/10 THE BEST IVE BEEN TOO!! Highly recommend for a premium food and drink restaurant.

Donna in Ubud absolutely deserves every bit of a five-star rating. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, stylish, and welcoming — the perfect blend of modern elegance and Bali charm. The service was attentive without ever feeling rushed, setting the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The food was nothing short of exceptional. We ordered the lamb lasagna and were blown away by how rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced it was. The gnocchi was soft and delicate, the truffle mash was silky and aromatic, and the meatballs were tender and full of depth. Every dish tasted like it was crafted with genuine passion. And I have to highlight the espresso martini — one of the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. To finish the night, we ordered the Melting Donna dessert, and it was the perfect finale. The presentation, the flavors, and the overall experience made it a true showstopper. Donna is easily one of the top dining spots in Ubud, and we will absolutely be returning. Highly recommended to anyone looking for elevated cuisine and memorable vibes.

Excellent tasting and well presented food at a reasonable price. I would personally recommend the Tasmanian Salmon and definitely the Donna dessert. Table next to us were celebrating a birthday and the other side came to celebrate their last night in Bali. It is a special venue. Be sure to book in advance as it os very popular and we could not get a table when we tried to book the first time.

This is the second year we are coming to this place because we absolutely love it! The food is amazing, quality, presentation, everything! But the highlight of the place is service. Every single staff member are at the top of their game. Augus went above above and beyond to make it even extra special. We will definitely be back!!!

One of the best restaurants in Ubud. The food was phenomenal, surprisingly quick to come out. Mary our server was delightful. The team very kindly sung Happy Birthday to me as well which was so sweet. Do make sure you book in tho, as they get busy!

Warung Puspa's in Ubud is highly recommended for those looking for authentic, local Balinese food. Puspa cooks everything himself with a lot of love and you can taste that in every dish. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience complete. We also attended a cooking workshop - a fantastic experience where you not only learn, but also enjoy. Everything was delicious. Truly a place to come back to.

Had a delicious breakfast here, It was really good value and very nicely made. The staff was really friendly and she shared a little bit about her sambal and that it was really healthy. You can tell that she is passionate about food and healthy options. I also had some fruit salad, which was delicious and a side of chicken breast grilled. They are very accommodating. The pricing was very reasonable too.

I would recomend everyone to come here. Food is really nice and authentic. You can taste it is home cook. Support halal local food in ubud. 💙 We had Nasi Campur Vegan, Gado Gado, Fried Tempe and dessert. Dadar Gulung. Trust me, that dessert is very good.

I can’t say enough good things about this gem in Ubud. The food is absolutely top tier. Packed with flavor and straight up hits you in the heart. I ate here at least six times during my stay. I tried other local spots, but they felt watered down compared to this one. This place is the real deal. Warm, genuine staff and seriously authentic Indonesian cuisine. Do not sleep on it. EAT HERE!

Great food, we both took Nasi Campur, one with chicken and one vegan and it was very good! The jackfruit was amazingly tender and it was the first time I understood why people compare it to beef. Then my boyfriend had a round of chicken satay which was also great and for pudding we had mango sticky rice and chocolate tart, both also very nice options. Lovely staff and great atmosphere, would recommend coming here if you’re in Ubud!

Found Puspa's by chance and what a nice little eatery. Great little spot to people watch (try and grab a table facing the street) which isn't on the main road. I ordered the Kung Fao Chicken and holy moly it was sensational!!! Definitely worth a look 👌 to top it off I had a little visitor - so cute

Really good quality local food and many clear vegan options on the menu. I went here four times during my stay and was always warmly greeted by Puspa and her team. This place was a pleasant surprise! I was one of the first to enter around 12:00pm. The weather wasn’t great but that didn’t stop the amazing service that I received. Staff was 10/10. Sun lounger was 150,000 rupiahs. It came with pool towel and welcome drink. This place is truly a hidden gem located in a busy area near the Monkey Forest. If you want time to relax at the pool this is the place to be. I really liked that they had a swim up bar. Also on the other side of the pool near the sun loungers they had stools & tables in the pool. I spent most of my time on the pool float. Every day club needs one of these! Highly recommend this place!

We came for the happy hour cocktails and had ravioli and it was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely we were sat playing cards tipsy. I highly recommend I wish I had had time to go back again!!

My 12yo and I were spending a day in Ubud, so I Googled places to swim and found Folk. For $5 you get a towel and access to the pool. This is a special venue. The food is cheap and so fresh - it’s a blessing to be able to swim, grab a cheap and tasty meal, and beer in a beautiful garden. (There is no need to pay for a pergola, the seating is comfortable and naturally shaded).

An amazing place, seemingly out of a dream. We stumbled on it by chance and felt immediately welcome by Made (the manager). The food and drinks were all delicious, and the service was both extremely nice and impressively professional (shoutout to Nadya!). We didn't have our swim suits so we came back the night after and had another great time at the swim up pool bar, entertained by the barman Suar (aka "The Machine"). We wish we could bring the whole place back home! Definitely a must-go.

This restaurant comes with a pool and served outdoor cinema in the night without minimum payment. Outdoor cinema is not always there every night, you need to check their instagram or website for the schedule. Unfortunately, there's a live music bar located in front of this restaurant which music is disturbing the movie. But i guess there's nothing they can do about that. Hope they can have more seating with better chair in front of the screen.

We loved this place so much we went back numerous times during our stay. And I tend to be picky. I imagine though if it was busy, it might be a different experience. Folk is an awesome oasis in the middle of Ubud. This was my experience. It has really good, interesting food, very attentive and friendly service and a lovely pool area with much more interesting cabanas than most of the beach clubs elsewhere. The ONLY downside is the cocktails. They're a bit too uniform, they need some layering of the elements to give them a little more interest. The bar has a few seats in the pool so you can swim up to the bar and sit in the pool. The small tapas that you get free when you pay for entry is really very delicious. All the food was delicious... And interesting. We were consistently impressed with everything we tried.

Had the most wonderful time celebrating my friend's birthday at Aperitif. We booked the private dining room, and every arrangement was perfect. The food was exquisite, the service was impeccable, and the venue itself is stunning. The manager was incredibly helpful and friendly during our WhatsApp communication in the lead-up to the event. A truly special touch was the personalized menu they created for us with our names on it, finalized after we made our choices upon arrival. It's these extra details that show how much they care about creating a unique experience. I cannot recommend Aperitif highly enough for a special occasion. Thank you for making our celebration so memorable.

This was honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was pure perfection. The staff were so kind and attentive — you can really feel how much they care about creating a special evening for every guest. But the food… absolutely incredible. Every course was a masterpiece, beautifully presented, perfectly balanced. Every single dish was a surprise in the best possible way. You can tell that so much thought, creativity, and passion go into every single dish. Each plate felt like a little journey on its own, both visually and in taste. The 7-course menu was a real culinary adventure and the wine pairing made it even more special. The wines were truly unique combinations I’d never have imagined, yet they matched the dishes flawlessly. It’s definitely worth adding the pairing; it elevates the entire experience. It’s rare to find a place where every detail, from the service to the plating to the final bite, feels so intentional and refined. I left completely amazed and already can’t wait to come back.

If Bali has a fancier restaurant than Apéritif, we haven’t found it. NB, as part of the Viceroy Hotel, this place has the only helicopter pad we’ve seen. Notice also Art Deco motifs merging with a colonial fantasy of Bali in the 1930s, when it was still ruled by the Dutch. Black and white tiles are typical of the era, okay, but the pattern also alludes to Balinese Hinduism, which acknowledges good and evil as equal parts of life, and life works best when in balance. We reserved an early table to take advantage of ambient light before sunset, but it was hardly necessary. Apéritif is well lit to feature the extraordinary cuisine. This is fine dining with nothing held back. The menu follows the phases of the moon, and all the plates are also shaped like the moon. The staff are marvelously well-trained and in typical Balinese style willing at all times to pause and explain what’s going on. The wine collection is world-class, and considering transportation and taxes, prices are very reasonable, but after a couple of fascinating cocktails that blended classic expressions with Balinese accents, we chose the wine pairing, which was magnificent, both in selections and in the pairings themselves, which were remarkably intelligent, not to mention synergetic. Sommelier Jean-Benoit Iselé has taken full advantage of APÉRETIF’s extraordinary cellar and doubtless collaborated closely with chef Nick Vanderbeeken to evoke every possible nuance. I’m running out of words, but this experience brings to a close our quest for authentic Bali. The power of this ancient anomalous civilization, now almost completely subsumed by tourism, has been raised to pure art here at Apéritif, absent apology, but glowing with respect for the very best.

Personally, the standout dishes for me were the King Prawn and the Venison Wellington, Chef Nic’s signature dish – both absolute must-tries. We opted for the set menu, and gave notice of an allergy on the booking request. Staff were knowledgeable about shellfish allergies and the kitchen prepared alternative starters and sambals for my friend- really fantastic service! The food was absolutely divine from start to finish. We both agreed that the tuna dish was one of the best raw fish dishes either of us had eaten. A great spot for foodies, or for date night. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the open grill kitchen at the front creates a great atmosphere. The excellent food, service and atmosphere make it worth the price tag.

Third time eating here at Nusantara spanning over a decade since my first, and it’s never failed to deliver. Great food, ambience and hospitality. Strongly recommend the beef ribs, stir fry papaya leaves with banana blossom, crispy babek, prawn curry and the chicken. The chicken dish was very unassuming but boy did it deliver. Managed to retain all of its moisture. Definitely looking to return when I’m back at Ubud! Remember to make reservations!

CocoNuts! Nusantara truly delivered on their promise of elevating classic Indonesian dishes. The chef’s menu is unique, with a wide variety of traditional Indonesian cuisine presented with refined cooking techniques, fresh ingredients, or simply done differently. From curries and soups to snacks and cocktails, everything was executed perfectly. The lamb curry was a standout, and the coconut soup still haunts my dreams. If you’re looking for a culinary experience that won’t disappoint, this is it. The service was excellent, and the private dining room was perfect for an intimate vacation dinner. They are nuts and truly coconuts.

This is a great place! A real gem in UBUD! If your are looking for authentic Balinese cuisine that is fine dining quality this is for you. Every dish had so much flavour and was so fresh ! In a town where there is less and less Bali quinine it’s Nusantara keeps it Bali! A mist try!

The food was all pretty good! I especially liked their crispy pork belly and the pork satay—the charred edges made it super crispy and juicy. On a warm but cloudy day, a glass of mint lemon tea hit just right. We were lucky to get a seat without waiting, and the food came out pretty fast. The space wasn’t crowded at all. Highly recommend their Bebek Betutu and crispy pork belly too! 😋

We have been recommended this place and got not disappointed. Getting seated on the lower levels gives you nice views into the green. As they were only few people only level 1 was open. The service was very kind and attentive. The food was really good and we felt that prices were more than fair. Enjoyed our stay at the oldest restaurant of Ubud and would recommend it.

In fact, I chose to have my final meal in Ubud and Bali, at Murni’s, which says everything about how much I enjoyed it. The food is easily some of the tastiest I had during my time in Bali. Each dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and prepared with care. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high quality. The staff are attentive and genuinely welcoming, making the whole dining experience relaxed and enjoyable. The location is peaceful, tucked beside the river, offering a calm and scenic escape from the busier parts of town. Even the facilities are spotless; a small but meaningful detail that speaks to the care taken in every aspect of the restaurant. As the very first restaurant in Ubud, Murni’s Warung more than lives up to its legacy. It deserves every bit of recognition it gets and then some. If you're in Ubud, this is one place you absolutely must visit. You won’t be disappointed.

Really nice warung by the ridge. We had some beef rendang and duck these both came with rice. The juices were nice but were a bit too pulpy for me I had to ask the staff to strain one of these because I kept coughing with every sip. Overall though their food tasted amazing and the prices are fair also the view from the restaurant was beautiful. 🤩 The staff are helpful prompt and we really enjoyed our time at murni’s. We weren’t expecting much from the chocolate cake btw but it tasted nice and homemade in a good way and they spiked it with some rum which was nice 👌 I would come back to this place!

My husband and I have been in Bali for five days, and this is the first time we’ve felt inspired to sit down and write a review. The freshness of the ingredients here is outstanding! the spices are incredibly flavorful, and the traditional Balinese food was simply amazing. We shared three main dishes, and every single one was excellent. If you’re looking for an authentic local gastronomical experience, this place is a must!

Apparently, the first restaurant in Ubud. Amazing location on three levels and certainly the Indonesian food on the menu was excellent. I recommend the duck or the chicken. Wine by the glass choice was very limited. The waitresses seemed a bit tired and less friendly than most Balinese restaurants. But still worth a visit!

Murni’s Warung holds such a special place in my heart. It’s one of Ubud’s oldest and most authentic restaurants — located just a short walk from the Blanco Museum. The view of the river from the lower levels is peaceful and calming, and the atmosphere feels like stepping into a piece of Bali’s history. The food is delicious, freshly made, and full of home-cooked flavour — you can really taste the care in every dish. I loved that everything is made from scratch and without MSG. The staff are kind and the whole place carries a feeling of warmth and tradition.

Not a bad spot, nice view of the volcano! The bread as pictured was amazing. Could have had a loaf for dinner. The duck was interesting. Very sweet almost candied. The sauce was even sweeter and to be honest I have had better. But also had worse… The staff was great, super friendly and attentive. The coffee latte was also on par.

Went for late lunch as a solo traveller and had a GREAT experience. Super good service, amazing view and delicious food. Snapper Curry was full of flavor and the Chocolate Mousse reminded me of the one they made at home. Recommended for a date night or nice lunch when in Ubud.

Indus delivery not just great food (and cocktails) but also a stunning view out over an impressive, deep and expansive tree-lined gully. I was there with a group of 20, which they were able to accommodate easily. (We had pre-ordered our meals though.) We also made good use of the 3 for 2 happy hour cocktail list. You have to go up and down 2 lots of large steps at the entrance, so access would be difficult if you're unstable on your feet.

My wife and I visited Indus last night and were treated to a menu which reflects both traditional Balinese cuisine as well as innovative and modern dishes bursting with freshness and flavour. Service was fantastic - attentive but not too invasive. Cocktails were amazing and our selection of dishes did not disappoint. The Balinese tapas was a great way to start our meal, a taste of local flavours to share, beautifully presented, fresh and tasty. The fish in banana leaves, a favourite from past visits, is back on the menu. Don't miss this one - the barramundi is juicy and tender and the spice mix is simply out of this world - your taste buds will love you for the experience!! The cauliflower fritters was also a stand out entree choice. And of course who could resist the famous lime tart to finish off a night of beautiful food under the full moon. We will be back. We'll done Indus.

View was amazing, from the front you don’t suspect how beautiful it is inside. Food was delicious and so were all the cocktails, we went for happy hour and the price was great. All the staff were so lovely and service was good the whole time even when they were really busy.

TLDR: Good service, comfortable atmosphere, great drinks, food was okay for meat eaters, but disappointing if you are veggie/gf We came here for dinner tonight and had a mixed experience. I’ll start with the positive, the service: as you’d expect in Bali it was warm, friendly and very attentive. The space itself was clean, comfortable and well looked after too. The drinks we had were excellent as well, and the 2-4-1 happy hour is great value. The food was a mixed bag and didn’t blow us away. My partner is vegetarian and gluten free, and she ordered the roasted beetroot for her main. When the plate arrived it was quite bare - 90% beetroot with a few greens and cubes of cheese doused in vinegar. There wasn’t anything else to it like a filling base of mash/rice/greens to justify listing this as a “main” in the menu - maybe this one’s on us for not looking at the menu detailedly enough, but if something is listed as a main I expect it to be more filling. As a side or starter, it would’ve been okay. I had the ribs which were very flavourful, but laid on top of a papaya salad which had too much vinegar for my liking. The tres leches for dessert was good. Again, top stars to the staff for noticing my partner wasn’t wild on the beetroot and offering to remove it from the bill. The surprise amouse bouches were great too. I would come back if they expanded their gluten free offerings!

Everything about Copper was truly outstanding. We had the pumpkin soup, pork ribs, and duck — each dish was exceptional. The pumpkin soup, in particular, was soulful and comforting, perfect for a cool, rainy evening. The focaccia they served was absolutely divine. Every dish was a five-star experience, made even better by the warm and genuine hospitality of the staff. Amazing from every angle.

The restaurant is beautifully designed, and the staff is very professional and friendly. However, we had much higher expectations for the food. We started with welcome cocktails and a small bite, which was a very nice touch and tasted good. Our mocktails were also enjoyable. For a starter, we ordered the jumbo shrimp – it looked great on the plate, but serving just one shrimp (where 70% of it is shell and head) was definitely not a good idea- anyway the sauces used in this dish were excellent and gave it an amazing flavor. Next came the chicken breast sous vide – it was simply fine. The portion was small (as expected for this type of restaurant), but the grey sauce was not good, while the vegetables were perfectly julienned and delicious – though again, there was very little of them. The ribs were just average, and unfortunately, they didn’t fall off the bone as they should have. The vegetables they were served on were far too vinegary. The potato purée, on the other hand, was tasty and served in a generous portion. The salad we ordered to go with the starter was also just okay Overall, a pleasant experience with excellent service and a few dishes that really stood out, though there is still room for improvement when it comes to balance and portions.

My wife and I visited for the special romantic dinner during our honeymoon. We were given a table surrounded by flowers in the shape of a heart, in a secluded offshoot of the main restaurant which we had all to ourselves. We were treated like total VIPs as we were served a multi-course set meal (with much flexibility for substitutions) and wine pairing. The main restaurant is already beautiful, but we were treated in such a way that the other patrons must have been wondering who we were. The food was delicious. The presentation beautiful. Atmosphere out of this world. The staff take a lot of pride in their work here, and it is a very special place. I'm told that they grow all of their own vegetables on-site, and prepare basically all food and components from scratch. It really shows. Ria in particular was a joy to talk to and took super great care of us. My only regret is that we did not reserve a room here when we were setting up our honeymoon, but we certainly will if we're ever back in town. The VIP romantic dinner (here in particular) is a once in a lifetime experience. Don't pass it up.

This was the best meal we’ve had in Bali. We walked over two miles to get to this pace and it was well worth it. We got the prawns, tofu, wagyu and the ribs. All were 12/10. The cocktails were delicious as well and they give you a nice hold towel when you come in to cool you off they also gave us a couple lemongrass shots and bread with pumpkin spread. Very nice servers, would happily go back!

So I ordered the ribs and when they came to the table oh my gosh they were so tough I can barely bite it nevertheless chew it. The manager came over and offered me something else. I requested the sirlion medium rare. That tasted buttery melt in your mouth it was a Prime Sirloin. Now here's my problem I've been on the toilet for 6 hours I didn't even finish the steak only because I had eaten all the vegetables and salad and bread however at this point I'm not even going to finish it. I waited 8 months to go to this restaurant I'm highly disappointed I did give it two stars because the vegetables and the drinks were good but they're ribs were tough add mashed potatoes for cold and the fact that I've been in the bathroom for 6 hours is why I'm leaving this review actually over 6 hours and I had the dinner around 6:30 pm yesterday.

This is insane. We got here by accident, after waiting at another place too long for the waiter to take our order, at lunch. There was no waiting line at this time and we got at a small cozy table in this marvelous place. The troubles started when the food came, because we almost fought over the lunch. Yes, it was that good! It felt like we could taste the chef's love put in preparing the dishes. This place is a must for everybody visiting Bali, no question about it. Thank you for this divine experience!

We had such a wonderful experience at Sun Sun Warung! The food was incredibly delicious — every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with love and fresh ingredients. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, always smiling and making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is really lovely too – cozy, relaxed, and with a beautiful Balinese touch that makes you feel right at home. We had to wait around 15 minutes for a table because the restaurant was quite busy, but it was absolutely worth it. If you don’t like waiting, I’d recommend making a reservation in advance. The prices are unbelievably good for the quality you get – honestly, the food could easily cost much more. Overall, we couldn’t have been happier. Great food, wonderful people, and a beautiful place – a must-visit in Bali!

I had the Nasi campur and loved the fact that it had a little bite of everything! My husband had the duck with bbq sauce and he literally wanted to lick the plate. This place is awesome.

Unassuming from the exterior but the setting was a quiet haven. Our server, Lili, couldn’t be more helpful, made us feel welcomed and at home here. The food was okay — for my taste, it wasn’t bad but not particularly delicious either. My boyfriend actually quite liked it. Two of the dishes came out a bit cold, and I personally prefer my food to be hot. The crispy duck with rice was served hot though.

This was a luxurious dessert experience. So refined, memorable and far exceeding expectations. You wouldn't expect it from the name, but the service and presentation felt world class. Absolutely worth the price per person. The beverage pairings were thoughtful and creative, sometimes unexpected but always harmonious with the flavours. Each course was beautifully presented and expertly crafted. A word of advice: arrive hungry! The portions are generous and surprisingly filling. We couldn’t finish everything on the spot, but the team kindly packed up the rest and we got to enjoy it again the next day. 10/10.

I visited this fine dining restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a memorable experience. We had the 15-course dinner, thoughtfully served across three different spaces, with five dishes in each area. I loved the transition between stations, especially the dessert room and the final station that felt like a cosy campfire with marshmallows. Such a unique touch! The staff were incredibly helpful, and the manager spoke excellent English, which made the dish explanations so much clearer and added to the experience. They even sang a birthday song for me at the last station, a sweet surprise that made the night feel extra special. Even though the portions aren’t huge, 15 courses is very filling, so it’s best to come with an empty stomach or have an early lunch. They also offer gluten-free and pescetarian menus, just let them know your dietary preferences. We booked the 6pm slot, and it was perfect — quiet, intimate, and we were the first guests of the evening. It felt like a personal dining experience. Highly recommend this place for a special occasion, a dinner date, or simply a unique culinary journey. Loved the fresh herbs and creativity in every dish. ✨

It’s not just dinner and deserts. It’s an Experience. We had the 15 course set menu, which was evenly paced out from savoury to desert to a sweet ending. Every dish was thoughtful and exquisite, designed to showcase fresh local produce, at the same time excite your tastebuds. One thing that pleasantly surprised us is that the meal does not comprise completely of deserts with savoury courses just as good as desert courses. Service here exceeds expectations, which is a feat in Bali where even Gojek drivers offer excellent service. Every single dish is patiently explained by servers who are genuinely passionate about the food they served. Come before sunset to enjoy the garden tour before sitting down to a delicious cocktail and appetisers in Room1. Next, move to Room2 for deserts before ending the night with sweets around the fireplace. For the level of food, ambience and service, Room4Desert is very value for money. We’re already making plans to come back!

The most incredible dining experience of our lives. We loved room 4 dessert, the attention to detail in everything from the setting, to the food, to the way you move around the restaurant as you go through the different courses was amazing. Room4Dessert gives you the opportunity to taste, smell,feel and savor the taste of pleasure in your mouth. The entire experience is unbelievably unique. The service is top tier. I felt like they listened to me without being overly attentive. Don’t sleep on this spot!

We went to Rooms4Dessert with high expectations because it’s famous worldwide. We took the dessert tasting menu with cocktail pairing. Out of 5 desserts, only 1 was really good. The others were okay or disappointing. Probably because the chef wasn’t there that night. The vibe, service, and idea of the place are great though. One big problem: the exhaust system is bad. When we left, we smelled like smoked pork the whole night. I might come back only if I know the chef is cooking, but that’s hard to plan. Overall: nice place, but the desserts need to be more consistent and please fix the smoke smell!

I always try to stop by here every time I come to Ubud. Chef Will always surprises me w his dessert creations. This time I tried Raspberry HK, Coulant & Canang Sando. Each has its highlight, w rich & balance flavor. It’s really a dessert that impress your sensory, therefore your memory. I can still remember the taste of each I ordered. Not to mention the philosophy of each process that aim for local ingredients & zero waste concept. I can say it is more than a dessert. It is a eco-friendly lifestyle. Had dinner here on my first night in Ubud, and it was probably the best food I had during my stay there. I ordered the moringa curry. I’m no vegetarian, but it sounded exotic and turned out absolutely delicious. The portion wasn’t huge, yet with the extra rice it worked out fine. A touch more spice would have been welcome, but it was still refreshing, tasty, and very different from anything else I’ve had in Indonesia. The space is lovely, with a beautiful, laid-back inner terrace. And compared to the Ubud average, it’s some of the best value for money I found.

Burus has such a lovely Balinese setup and quickly became one of my favorite spots in Ubud. I’ve visited twice during my stay—once for coffee and once for dinner. They have a small seating area by the road that’s perfect for a casual coffee, and a cozy garden area inside with a beautiful Balinese vibe, ideal for lunch or dinner. In close proximity to Ubud palace. The service is impeccable, and the food is really good too. I absolutely loved this place and will definitely be visiting again

So glad we chose this place for our final Ubud dinner. Walk through the compound to a lovely , atmospheric setting at the back. Authentic, tasty Indonesian food. We love this type of local eating. The Ketoprak was delicious and the coconut ice cream was exceptional. We will back on our next trip to Ubud.

I had an amazing vegan dish called Ketoprak. Its originally vegetarian but the very helpful And friendly staff quicky offered to change egg to tempeh And shrimp crackers to bean crackers. The satay was so tasty And all the ingredients fresh And well seasoned. The atmosphere is also so cozy And i loved sitting on the ground on pillows. 🌸

We visited Cascades at Viceroy Bali to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday, following a recommendation from the kind staff member Destri — and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. Everything from the atmosphere to the service and food was spot-on. What stood out the most was the food itself — it let the natural flavors of the ingredients shine, with minimal use of seasoning or artificial enhancers. I mean I can’t say much else for the price. Expensive by Bali standards, but the normal price of food from the countries tourists usually come from. Came here as a birthday treat, and was given impeccable service as well as a complimentary dessert from the kindness of the staff. All this in addition to being hosted at the lavish resort that is Viceroy. The Ox tail soup is great if you know how to eat from a vertebrae, and pizza was better than expected. Very impressed.

We went twice in 2 days, once for lunch and once for dinner. The food was awesome, never saw a burger with an avocado bun :) the BBQ jackfruit was delicious in the burger. The Avocado & Feta toast is also a great dish on their menu. We also shared some tortilla chips with guacamole.

Got the mix grill and the salmon full breakfest delivered. It was on the pricy side but when I tasted it I understood why. All the meats were done superbly. Fresh hot pitta bread too. We had several meals from Avocado Warung and were always so happy! Food was amazing with lots of best avocado. Very clean. Everyone was so kind. But we could not eat there, it was really hot in the Warung. They have one table outside. Would definitly recommend!

I wasn’t sure if the restaurant was open on my arrival as there was no one there. A very happy staff member came out to greet and l was so happy to see her as l was as really looking forward to sampling there bakar. The restaurant is spread out with lots of different seating. There’s little huts/cabanas which l chose, outdoor garden seating and general seating at the entrance closest to the bar. I was really interested in there seafood options so l ordered the bbq fish & prawns along with their satay squid. Every was made quickly, fresh and delicious. Do much flavour within every dish and the staff were brilliant Highly recommend.

We asked our driver who is a local from Ubud where is his favourite place to eat so he took us to Warung Janggar Ulam. This place was fantastic. Turning off the road you go past a furniture shop, to the back, then set amongst rice fields is this gem. The service was kind, welcoming and fast, they really made us welcome. The prices were fantastic and very affordable traditional food, with a broad range of favourites. A large range of seafood all fresh and cooked perfectly. The toilets were clean and had western options.

Great hidden gem of a restaurant (warung) with lots of parking and many tables overlooking fish ponds. Great atmosphere. Really good grilled duck (Bebek Bakar). Moist and well done but not dry. The ice mocha isn't good though. Guess they don't know how to make it here. The washroom aren't very clean. Even our public washroom at the villa is much cleaner. Overall, the price and value of the food was very good. We will be back again. Let's hope they have staff to clean the washroom regularly or post signs for male guests to keep it in the toilet bowl.

We visited Warung Krisna in Ubud. The service was okay. The place itself is quite average in terms of atmosphere. As a starter, we had spring rolls, which were actually quite decent in taste. For the mains, I had nasi goreng with chicken — it was alright, nothing special. My girlfriend had gado gado and didn’t like it at all — she said it really wasn’t good. She also ordered a fresh coconut, but instead of being cut open traditionally, it was just pierced with a small hole. This made it hard to check the amount inside, and we suspect some of the coconut water may have been taken out — there was very little in it. Hygiene was also questionable. On our way out, we noticed they rinse vegetables with regular tap water. Maybe that’s common, but it didn’t give us a good feeling. I had an iced lemon tea, which was just watered-down bottled tea with no flavor whatsoever. We honestly don’t understand the high ratings for this place. Hopefully we won’t get sick from eating there.

What a fantastic little restaurant. First full day in bali and was recommended this place by The Roaming Renegades from instagram. Me and my partner had mihun goreng and satay chicken. Speedy service. Great food. cold beer. Staff were very friendly What more could you ask.

The food and vibes are five stars. We ordered mango chicken rice and nasi campur. The mango is melting in the mouth. The fruit juice is blended well and not like those mixing with water. And the pink bowl is pretty nice too, yogurt like taste with a lot of fruits. And the price is the cheapest and nicest we found in Ubud palace area.

We really liked this warung the first time we came - good food, and a nice atmosphere. That’s why we decided to come back today. But honestly, our second visit was a letdown. As soon as we finished eating, one of the staff came over and asked us to move because another group wanted our seats. Not because they needed a table — they were already sitting — they just preferred ours. It felt super uncomfortable and a bit rude. We weren’t lingering or taking up space unnecessarily, just sitting for a few minutes after our meal. It kind of ruined the whole experience for us.

A nice little place that we have been to previously. It has a really nice design and a really pleasant atmosphere away from the main noise of Ubud. The pond outside is excellent to be near just for the sound of the water (ok and to watch the koi as well) depending on the weather. The prices have jumped since our last visit and the food quality is a bit mixed too. We had to wonder if this is why it was much quieter than our previous visit a few months ago. Previously the food was excellent, however tonight we tried the duck and it was as tough as leather which was very disappointing. It's a pretty good menu with a lot of options to suit the different dietary preferences of people (meat, vegetarian, vegan etc). All the staff are friendly and pleasant to deal with which is always nice.

Good plant-based clean soulful food in a relaxed, hippy-vibe garden setting. The buffet food can be lukewarm or cooled down, but it’s still rich in taste and flavour. Their fresh juices def are a must-try! When I arrived mid-afternoon, there were no other customers, which made it hard to get a sense of the vibe among the staff — though later, they turned out to be helpful and friendly. I love the concept of trust: you eat what you like and leave your contribution in designated “money bottles”.

Love this place, very homey and lovely. The food is delicious homemade cooking with many vegetarian/vegan options from tempeh/tofu, red beans, rich variety of vegetables. Sometimes you will find unique balinese vegetables like papaya leaf with torch ginger flower. A must try while being in Bali. I mean, you can get pizza easy everywhere, but authentic homemade balinese food? Not everywhere. This place is something different in the middle of Ubud and you’ll notice the moment you step in. If you’re lucky enough you’ll get to meet Tony, a very special character that makes very good ginger tea with other spices . He’s says that drink is gonna make you immortal!

If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be this sweet potato gnocchi. I have literally never eaten anything yummier in my life. I have fallen in love. Great vibes at this place too. Love that it’s quite a high-end busy road but there’s gorgeous foliage covering the street so it all feels a bit more luxurious and spacious. Lovely art inside too!

Our favourite Bali restaurant!! We ate here a few times and tried the local cuisine, European fare and afternoon tea with cake. Just delicious! They have an extensive menu, staff are so friendly and the restaurant is a beautiful setting, with gardens and ponds set back from the road. The oldest restaurant in Ubud. Just marvellous!!

Went back twice just for the Nasi Campur, definitely by far the BEST I've had in Bali and the portion size is great not to mention the price. Chocolate milkshakes are fantastic. Thai spring rolls and beef burgers are well worth the try. We sat out the back both times, the surrounding gardens, fishpond are so beautiful. Service is very attentive and friendly. Well done to the owner and management! Don't change a thing.

Deceiving looks from the front but this traditional Bali style Cafe is huge with charming numerous dining areas. Great selection of traditional Balinese style food and European choices. Gorgeous private dining areas at the back. Good service and tasty dishes. Our food was great with service to match. Lot of history associated with this Cafe.

The food was not good, we ordered skewers and it was hard to bite…. Only the duck & pirate dish was acceptable, the others are simply plain and too sweet… If you seat at the garden, be prepared there are a lot of ants climbing to your plate.

Highlight meal in Bali!! Everything from the setting, to the food quality and quantity, to the prices is all sublime. Nasi Campur was a fantastic way to sample a number of different authentic dishes. The plate was huge, every element packed with flavour and presented wonderfully. If you are lucky enough to be in Ubud then do yourself a favour and pay a visit here.

Got suggested to come here by the locals for having the best bbq pork ribs. The food instantly smells good the moment we got out of the car. We ordered the pork ribs, skewers, mi goreng vegetarian, chicken soup and fried banana. The food were overall good. My wife and I thought it would make a good daily hangout food spot. The seasoning and the sauce were great. However, we had to knock it down a point because the pork quality wasn’t as good. Also, the pork were on the overcooked side. Come here for the flavor but don’t expect quality.

The pork ribs only have one size which is too much for a solo dinner. I decided to order the pork skewers instead which is good. It’s flavor is almost the same as how we do it back home so it’s a good reminder of Filipino food. The pineapple with the pork was weird though.

My tour driver recommended this restaurant as this is the original Naughty Nuri’s, those at Seminyak and others which display make pink cute piglets shatter around the frontage, that are the franchise. I prefer franchise Naughty Nuri because they’re grilled pork ribs is the best in Bali! You have give the same sauce but other dishes the franchise add in is excellent match. So this restaurant have smoke problem, the BBQ is right infront the restaurant causing the wind that your staff fan towards the restaurant and I just showered but I smell bad after dinner. All staffs are very nice and friendly. I hope my next trip back, you could have a better BBQ area with no smoke fan into restaurant. Suggest also add suckling pig and roasted pork crispy skin. We had a great time dining at Naughty Nuri’s in Ubud — the place has a rustic, laid-back vibe that feels more like a local warung than a polished restaurant, which adds to its charm. Get the pork spare ribs. That's what they're known for, and it's pretty bloody good. And don't bother with anything else on the menu LOL, we tried a few but the pork spare ribs definitely hit the best. Just get a few more servings of it if you're hungry. Only $15 AUD for a full rack!

I did visit this place 2 years agai and came back again cause the rib was very impressive 👍🔥 same as my first visit, I brought some friends to try the ribs and haha they all loved it like 2 years ago !!! Yummy food, very beautiful and peaceful place. Only 35 euro for 3 people each had a starter and main dish, drinks and even a big bottle kombucha. We had a vegan, a fish and meat eater, all happy. Update: unfortunately I had Bali belly after the vegan wrap. It never digested even not the next day, I had diarrea all the time and than I gave up and throw up the wrap. How it’s possible not to digest by the next day, it’s really amazing. Had painful cramps and many many gasses… I’m very sorry about it because I really liked the place so much🥺

Clear Café is such a relaxing spot in Ubud. The place feels very calming the moment you enter. I came by for breakfast and everything tasted fresh and clean. The menu has a lot of healthy options, but nothing feels boring. I tried their breakfast bowl and a fresh juice and both were really good, light but filling. Service was friendly and the atmosphere makes you want to stay longer than planned. It’s a nice place to slow down, enjoy good food, and just chill before exploring Ubud. Definitely worth a visit if you like healthy meals and a peaceful setting.

We visited twice whilst in Ubud, and loved the food, ambience and staff, as well as the zen beats and spiritual customers. Highly recommend the Pad Thai and Diamond Detox juice/tonic - both of which were so cleansing and delicious.We even went upstairs for a massage which was beautiful too. Such great vibes and a must visit whilst in the heart of Ubud town centre. We’ll be coming back for sure!!

This was a very quiet and calm place in the center of Ubud. I went here multiple times during my stay and absolutely loved their smoothie bowl and frappucino, both a 10/10. The staff is also very kind and make sure you have everything you need. A very nice place if you want to go for a more quiet lunch, while still being very close to the city center.

I travelled all the way from London and this little gem in Bali made the journey even sweeter! The carrot cake was moist and topped with the creamiest frosting — honestly one of the best my wife had. The vanilla cake was beautifully light yet rich in flavor, and the lemon meringue was a showstopper: zesty, refreshing, and balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. On top of the delicious desserts, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were so warm, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel right at home. You can tell they truly care about their guests’ experience. If you’re in Bali and love desserts, this place is an absolute must-visit.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Casa Luna in Ubud is absolutely beautiful. The food is amazing — full of flavour and so fresh. The whole place has a peaceful Buddha vibe that I loved, and even the toilets were spotless. We went there - although the reviews were not so "high" for Bali standards - because it started raining. We made a very good choice, the food was very good and the atmosphere also. I would recommend to go downstairs where is more quiet and the place is like a 60s restaurant. We recommend it.

I'd give it 10 stars. Our favorite place in Bali. We went here 5 out of the 7 days we were in Ubud. The coffee and desserts are delicious. The staff are so sweet and friendly. The place is big and spacious, so you can comfortably sit and chat. The interior is lovely. It's not exactly in the city center, but it's an easy walk. One evening, when we wanted tea, they offered us a lemongrass mixed brew, and we loved it! Nothing we ate was disappointing. They use bottled water, which is safe and clean. Definitely go and try it! 💞

I’ve been dining at Casa Luna for the past three years, and it has truly become one of my favorite places in Ubud. Every time I come here, I instantly feel at home — the atmosphere is so warm, calm, and comforting. The staff is absolutely lovely: attentive, kind, and always welcoming. Their hospitality is one of the many reasons I keep returning. The food is consistently excellent, with high-quality ingredients and beautiful flavors. I never get tired of my favorite dishes; they’re delicious every single time. Casa Luna is also a haven of peace, especially in the morning. The space is open, airy, and cozy, with traditional décor that adds so much authenticity to the experience. It’s one of the rare places in Ubud where you can truly breathe and relax. They have a coffee house , a music store and a restaurant all in one place. You can eat while purchasing CDs and music merchandise or you can look at them while drinking your coffee. They also conduct coffee making workshops. We ordered spring rolls, a smoothie , a tart which were good.We also ordered a vegan dessert which wasnt much good. They have valet parking service, which is very good because we couldnt see any space to park our scooter.

Retro Vibes & Serious Coffee Very cool café with an 80s retro feel and a creative, artistic décor. The coffee-making setup is super advanced — you can tell they take their craft seriously. It’s a great spot to read, chill, and enjoy a quality cup of coffee. I had the avocado toast and it was well done. The egg Portuguese tart was alright, a bit overcooked for my liking, but still enjoyable. Overall, a stylish café with excellent coffee and a unique vibe. Worth checking out if you’re in Ubud.

Came across this coffee place on the internet and based on the photos gave it a shot….. WOW, the atmosphere is so relaxed and friendly. I ordered the Define Void…. Strawberry based tea, delicious, and my gf had the affogato 5 elements, which came with two coffee testers. As you can see, very well presented. And most importantly….. THE COFFEE IS GREAT☕️☕️

Seniman Coffee Studio: Chill Vibes and Single-Origin Beans When traveling, the hunt for quality specialty coffee is always on, and Indonesia, with its rich history of beans, promises much. Seniman Coffee Studio in Bali not only meets that promise but wraps it in a perfectly unique atmosphere. Even if your travel partner (like my Mindy) isn't a coffee fanatic, this place is absolutely worth the visit. Quality and Variety: The focus here is clearly on showcasing Indonesian coffee heritage. Seniman offers about a dozen different single-origin coffees, available both hot and iced by the cup. While some are locally sourced from Bali, the entire selection is proudly Indonesian. My choice was the Affogato "5 Elements". This unique dessert is an assortment of different coffees and accompanying coffee ice creams. While Mindy steered clear of the coffee, she was more than happy to help me tackle the yummy ice cream :) It’s a delightful and memorable presentation that elevates a simple affogato into a culinary experience. Chill Vibe and Seating: Beyond the coffee, the studio itself is just a pretty cool place. The seating areas are chill, making it easy to relax and unwind. We chose to sit outside, which provided a great opportunity to people-watch and soak up the local energy. The combination of good coffee, unique presentations, and a genuinely relaxed cafe makes Seniman a perfect pit stop.

Seniman coffee is a great spot to check out. Their dishes are reasonably priced, served in generous portions and are quite filling. They also offer alternatives for those who prefer non-coffee drinks. The atmosphere is cozy, making it a good spot to chat with friends.

A vegan heaven ✨ If I had 10 stars, I'd put them. The food? Mind-blowing. The coffee? First of all, I don't drink regular coffee. And I found here decaf 😭 And it was beyond good. One of the best quality coffees I've ever had. The restaurant? Beautiful. And most of all, quiet. With clients that respect each other. I can't stand anymore all these tourists doing whatever they want such as they are in their living room. And the variety of foods, drinks, sweets? Large. Alchemy was a very, very, very pleasant surprise 🙏💖 (And yes, it's a little bit expensive, but almost same prices you can find in other places with not such quality and variety. It's your choice after all) ☺️

Alchemy is always a reliable choice, whether for tea, lunch, or dinner – even their yoga studio is amazing. I especially love their herbal tea and always buy a pack to take home. This time I tried the Capricciosa pizza for the first time, but it was too salty for my taste. Not sure if that was intentional, as I usually love Alchemy’s food for being simple and mild in flavor.

I had the green curry which was comforting, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. You can tell they use super fresh ingredients. The matcha was smooth, earthy, and no bitterness at all, just the right balance. And the coffee? Rich, aromatic, and satisfying, honestly one of the best cups I’ve had in Bali. We came here for lunch & dinner and I think it’s an OK place. 1st time we hadn’t done enough research on Ubud vegan fold and the 2nd time we thought give it a chance. It’s a bit too focussed on wellbeing and not on the food creativity on mains. The seats are very uncomfortable. We had pesto pasta and a shawarma wrap for lunch, the other time a laksa “soup” and a burger for dinner. I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

Alchemy has been my living room while staying in Ubud. As much as I tried or wanted to explore other places, I always come back here because it just feels like home & the staff, menu, variety and experience is just amazing! Highly recommend the salad, green waffle, ice cream and breakfast bar!

Not enough stars for this amazing little gem! We loved our meal at the Elephant!! Our food was both beautiful and delicious beyond expectation. This is a vegetarian restaurant with no meat on the menu. Even if you normally order meat, this restaurant is worth trying, the food is excellent! The service was kind, welcoming and prompt. We had no language issues, the menu had English descriptions and we ordered in English but did our best to thank them in Bahasa. The meal was one of our more expensive meals in Indonesia but it was by far the best, worth every penny! The view was a simply stunning showing of the jungle in the area, while the restaurant was clean and decorated in Balinese style. We're so glad we stopped here for dinner! Stop in and try it out, you won't be disappointed!

Im in live with the place. Perfect location, far from the noise and traffic of ubud center but close enough to spend hours to reach home if you’re living in ubud center. The view is breathtaking. The service is amazing, the employees are kind, polite, funny, nice….. the food is very tasty. The menu looks Italian but the owner is Australian. It’s one of my favorite places. I definitely recommend it. Peaceful

This place is a gem. Beautiful covered outdoor space overlooking the jungle. While my fiancé and I are both meat eaters, we absolutely loved our vegetarian food. That fact that he- a meat loving Italian - loved the Bolognese is a big deal! My burnt sage gnocchi was so good he got one to go for dinner later. The mushroom dumplings were delightful. This place is awesome! I’ve eaten in restaurants in Bali and around the world and the food here is super tasty. The view is great, calm atmosphere and lovely servers. The watermelon retrograde reset drink is delish and the burger is👌👌. My friend had the pad thai it was also yummy

We fully enjoyed our dining experience at The Elephant. It was our first night in Ubud and we’d already enjoyed a big lunch, so we probably didn’t do justice to the menu, which looked fantastic. Everything we ordered was delicious. We didn’t expect much at first, but it really impressed us! The shrimp was fresh and springy, the spaghetti was great, and the cheese was rich and tasty. The service was excellent as well, , and they also have parking.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with live jazz music providing pleasant accompaniment to the meal. The staff are very attentive. The caprese salad is enhanced by the addition of lettuce and capers with an excellent dressing. The white pizza is disappointing, with a bland taste and sparse toppings, even though the dough is well made. The dessert is uninteresting, with the yoghurt cheese accompanying the torta caprese having an overly strong taste. The Australian Pinot Noir, served at the right temperature, went well with the meal.

Super friendly waiter and the Ambiente very nice. Starter was the mixed Seafood plate. We had the tuna steak and the Bucatini. Very delicious both meals. Definitely coming again for the another round.

A beautiful setting with incredible food. We had a lovely meal here during our stay in Ubud. The burrata and arancini starters were particular favourites. The restaurant was clean, food well presented and staff very attentive.

Low light. Good live music. It has such an atmosphere. The food was incredible in taste, presentation, and appearance. I had a a very romantic dinner here with my wife during our honeymoon. Santi was a wonderful waitress and helped make our evening extra special.

Sunday brunch was incredible. We had Dewa (I think is his name) serving us and he was so friendly. You can choose whatever you want from the brunch menu (we got A LOT more than what is in the photos) and it was all very high quality, presented beautifully. The pasta was the highlight for me. We were too full to try everything though, so maybe next time. Really nice atmosphere as well.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch right on our daybed, then relaxed on the pool loungers – the perfect combination. The atmosphere was elevated by a talented DJ spinning amazing afro house beats all afternoon. Pure bliss! Here’s a pro tip: We didn’t use our entire prepaid amount, so we gave the difference as a tip to the incredible staff. They were so grateful, and honestly, they deserved every bit of it for the exceptional service. I highly encourage everyone to do the same if you find yourself in this situation – these hardworking people truly make your experience unforgettable. The suspended daybed, the stunning infinity pool with its lounge area, the music, the food, and above all, THE STAFF – everything was perfection. Don’t think twice – book your daybed at Jungle Fish. During my stay at chapung sebali in Bali, I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Jungle Fish, and it truly exceeded all expectations. Beautiful day in the jungle and rice fields, massive big infinity pool surrounded by sundeck chairs, bar and lounges but the food has unfortunately a big let down! Music just ok during the day.

We loved this restaurant, we came back two nights in a row. The atmosphere is very nice with dim lighting. The service was very good and everyone was kind. I loved everything that we got to eat there. The drinks are unique and super yummy. The hummus is absolutely delicious as well as the poke bowl and the creme brûlée. Highly recommed.

Food here was really good, lucky enough to live a walking distance here. Came here once for breakfast and lunch. Ambience is great, it's convenient but has a quiet interior and all outdoor seating, you can work here although the wifi might be a bit slow. Great place for journaling and doing art. Pastry here is fresh and food is great quality ingredients. Prices are reasonable too and staff are friendly. So glad I can get my coffee and pastry at 7am! Tempeh bowl for lunch was just right - tempeh was marinated well and veggies were crunchy and fresh.

This restaurant was so delicious we went two nights in a row! The staff were very attentive and kind, and the food was amazing!! I got the steak frites, and that was the best steak I’ve ever had. Seriously the best restaurant I ate at in Bali. We stayed at Dinara Hotel and they included breakfast from Melali. You can order a healthy and delicious breakfast with choice of coffee or tea and fruit juices. Everything was fresh and rivals the best brunches I have had in L.A.

We have the herbal drinks ( cinnamon with tamarind and tumeric drink). I prefer the tumeric one, but both are very nice. For main, we had nasi ricco ricco- this is so so goooodddd!! And had the noodle with javanese spices. The mangoes som tam was good!! I would recommend this place. Price is reasonable and food is delicious.

The starter was incredibly delicious and I had high hopes for the main. But the beef ribs were tough and chewy and the salad too perfumed and I couldn’t finish them. The ribs did have a nice sticky sweet flavour though. Very cheap so would be good if you’re on a tight budget. Staff are very friendly.

I often eat at Warung Mendez, and my favorite dishes are Rawon and Tempe Mendoan, which are always very delicious. However, today I was quite disappointed, because the staff informed me that now there is a 3% charge for payments using either card or QRIS. They said it was due to a new rule from the bank this month and also an order from the owner. But I personally have not found any official regulation regarding this. Based on my experiences so far, including last month when I came, there was no additional charge at all when paying with QRIS. Fortunately, I had just enough cash with me today, so I paid in cash and didn’t use QRIS. Actually, the 3% is not a problem for me if it is truly my responsibility as a customer. But according to Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 11/11/PBI/2009 Article 8 and the Consumer Protection Law No. 8 of 1999, transaction fees should not be charged to consumers. If the owner feels burdened by the MDR (Merchant Discount Rate) fee from EDC or QRIS, the proper step is to file a complaint or negotiate with the bank, not pass the cost on to customers. It is really unfortunate, because the food here is genuinely good and I like it. But this new policy is quite disappointing. I hope it can be reconsidered in the future so that dining at Warung Mendez remains enjoyable and in line with the applicable regulations. 📌 Note for customers: It’s better to bring cash when dining here, otherwise you will be charged 3% if paying by debit/credit card or QRIS, which by regulation is not supposed to be the customer’s responsibility.

It was a good food. It just the appetizer never comes first especially in Bali 😕 So better to always remind them if you want get it first. Lumpia is great also Nasi goreng bumbu Bali is kickin. They got a good WiFi connection. The ambience so-so as it’s quite dim.

Food tasted fine, but the service was unacceptable. We had already called the waitress, but when a white customer walked in, she started chatting with him and took his order first. He finished his meal before my food even arrived. As an Asian customer, I felt ignored and treated unfairly. Definitely not a place I would recommend.

We had dinner at this restaurant we enjoyed Duck, BBQ Beef Rib, Nasi Goreng Magelangan etc, honestly say the food was well tasty, my friends love the BBQ Beef Rib & Duck were delicious, dish are priced reasonably & staffs are friendly, we are pleasure to recommended this restaurant to you, let’s come and try you may find the authentic Balinese food in Ubud, we also hope visit here in future when we have holidays…..

One of my favourite nights out in Ubud! They had no problem catering to my vegan diet (as the dishes are mostly vegetarian). The staff were amazing and the food was too. Also a great place to have a nice dinner while listening to some great live music. Definitely check this place out!

A small piece of Mexico in the middle of Bali. Staff and owners incredible. Food really nice and delicious not the typical Mexican you can find all over the world. The local divided in 2 different areas, restaurant and bar upstairs. Margaritas just amazing. One recommendation; shrimps and octopus Just one of the best dishes we have enjoyed in Bali!! We will come back for sure!!!!!

Really good food. It hit the spot. A little less Mexican and a little more Bali Mexican. So if you are looking for Mexican cuisine check out the taco place in central Ubud, also in my reviews. But some days you want some music, a little western culture and a cool environment. This place hit the spot.

The food was great, the drinks were unique and very good, the espresso martini was amazing. They are also open late unlike anything else in the area. If you're in Ubud looking for something to do after 8 or 9, this is where you should go without question.

Wow! Good, good, good! Had the quesadillas (Easily split for two!) and a burrito. It's all vegetarian, but definitely does not sacrifice flavor or substance! We were both crazy full after our meals and struggled to finish - came hungry too! The welcome drink and snacks were a nice addition! But the service was great superb! I want to go back now!

Absolutely loved our lunch at Milk and Madhu! The service was top-notch – we’re super picky vegetarians (no egg, no fish oil) and Captain Puspa and Novi were amazing, guiding us through the menu without batting an eye. She suggested the Summer Slice Pizza and OH MY GOD – best pizza EVER. I seriously still can’t get over how good it was. Big shoutout to the team for making a Milo Shake for us, even though it’s supposed to be just for kids. That was such a nice touch! We had an awesome lunch and can’t wait to come back soon. Highly recommend this place!

I came here on a Sunday to try their special brunch, and it was such a great way to start the day! I had the cheeseburger with a beer — absolutely delicious and satisfying. Then I couldn’t resist trying the dessert: an apple crumble pie with ice cream. It was simply amazing! I left with such positive vibes and a big smile. The atmosphere here is wonderful- friendly people, great music, and an overall lovely energy. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to:)

We came here based on reviews and had breakfast and dinner. Everything was great. They had breakfast promotions, and it was incredibly crowded. A line formed after we sat down, but it wasn't as crowded that evening, so we enjoyed our meal comfortably. Since we don't eat pork, they offered to swap our menu items for other items, which was very nice. We enjoyed the lasagna for dinner. The ice cream is safe, and the food is delicious. We recommend it.

Nice atmosphere in the morning and in the evening because inside gets too hot at noon (due to big glass windows). You can enjoy great cocktails (you pay one get two during the happy hour). I ordered grilled fish and salad -the portion was a bit small- but it was really delicious. Prices are a bit above average. Service was very fast.

The food taste was good and flavorful. Coffee and juice was good also. Caught by surprise for the croissant shaped bread. It was not flaky or light to be called croissants. It’s a brioche pretending to be a croissant.

Was having the best morning here, having my proper breakfast after arriving in Ubud recently. It was the vibe that I enjoyed the most. Felt so nourished and charged being there for 2,5hr. The team there is a group of attentive people and they served genuinely from the heart. Especially Nana. She was such a sweet lady offering me a loyalty card right away. Happy to connect with her. Had a lovely breakfast at Suka. Coffee was on point and the croissant a pleasant surprise. Cherry on top of the pie was our waitress Fabri who was attentive and a fun. 10/10 would come again Cheers mate

We had a yummy breakfast here! There was no line to wait and we got seated immediately. We ordered the green smoothie, breakfast smoothie, two sides of scrambled eggs, the classic pancakes, and the berry pancakes. They were all so yummy! The eggs were perfect and the smoothies were refreshing. I think our favorite was the green smoothie. It was yummy!

Amazing food and wonderful staff! I’ve been coming here for over 1.5 years and more than 10 times and I have never once been disappointed. It used to be called Suka Espresso, but now I think it’s called Bonnie in the evening where you can then come for dinner. I’ve tried their salad bowls, the chicken katsu sandwich (forgive me if I got the name slightly wrong), breakfast dishes, and even desserts and everything has been consistently delicious. What makes this place truly special, though, is the staff. They are warm, welcoming, and genuinely make the whole experience unforgettable. I want to sincerely thank the entire team, it’s a joy to eat here not just because the food is amazing, but because the people are amazing too. Wishing you all the very best, and I can’t wait to come back!

If I could have breakfast here every day, I absolutely would. My friend and I ordered quite a few dishes, but my top recommendation something everyone should try is the drink with cacao beans and dates (the one with the funny “monkey” name) and their banana bread. Both were exceptional The atmosphere is great, with a stylish interior, a clean restroom, and an excellent selection on the menu. The staff were also lovely friendly and always smiling, which made the experience even better.

Really cute and small here! The staff are very nice and the food was very delicious. I got the tofu scramble which I high recommend. I also tried their sushi and it was very tasty as well.

This place deserve a 6 stars! Many reasons, starting with the staff, they are doing their best to deliver a nice and quick excellent food to customers! That evening?m, the restaurant was full of peeps, and they managed to make everyone happy! The juices were just amazing and I tried the tamarin, felt in love. We also had the vegan or vegetarian sushi as well as the dumplings, just amazing, really! I can feel the taste again while writing this review! Overall it was very cheap for this quality of food. Thanks again for this as I am not vegan or vegetarian myself but I would come back everyday if I was living in Ubud.

I'm probably a bit biased as I'm not a dedicated vegetarian so it wasn't my favourite meal in Ubud. However the price and portion size is excellent. My BF had their Nasi Campur which he gave 10/10.

Just make your way here. No regrets. Vegetarian and vegan mixed rice (Nasi Campur) where you have the flexibility to pick and choose what goes on your plate. A good range of fruit juices and desserts.

Great service, free Wi-Fi, cozy place, reasonable price, great desserts, the miso soup was tasty and warm, the sushi rolls could use more veggie filling, they taste like eating lots of rice. Loved the vegan lime pie and mango coconut pie. Light and cheap and healthy and tasty.

Great food ! This coming from a non Vegetarian/vegan ! They have a really good breakfast. Lime mint drink and nasi kampur is really good as well. Recommended for sure!

The nasi campur here is awesome! So much taste, and almost all of the options are vegan. The chocolate coconut cake is also very good.

This is hands down the best acai we ever had!! The flavour of the acai itself is just so good, and the toppings are super generous and fresh, we tried 4 different açais and couldn’t get enough of them, you also have very big choice of toppings. We highly recommend this place and would go back to Ubud only for it!

Have been to Açai Queen multiple times in bith locations in Ubud and I love it so much. The food itself, the presentation, the place, the staff - everything is perfect. And you get coconut crunch as a snack for every order. This time I even got a small coconut ball that was covered in chocolate. Delicious! Would always come back :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m absolutely addicted to Acai Queen! The fruits are always so fresh, and I love their caramel toffee bits and signature granola — such a perfect combination. The complimentary coconut flakes are a lovely touch, and if you leave a review, you even get a chocolate coconut ball (so yummy!). The service is consistently amazing — the ladies are attentive, polite, and always welcoming. I’m a regular customer, and every bowl truly makes my day. Thank you, Acai Queen! 💜🍓🥥

I don’t understand why this is highly rated, the acai smoothie base is nice - but the quantity and the amount of toppings you get js just not enough and doesn’t justify the price at all compared to other places in Bali. They had used quite a bit of sugar on coconut shavings, ruining the authentic coconut flavour - and the peanuts in the peanut butter were over roasted. I personally did not enjoy the entire experience. No doubt the bowl looks aesthetic but the taste doesn’t make the mark.

The acai doesnt taste the best. Not sure why this place is extremely hyped but the amount you pay (also tax and service charge on top of the already expensive prices) doesnt worth what you eat... This place is just good to post cute instagram photos with your fruit bowl sold as acai bowl

Amazing food. Super tasty. I also love the little cards which makes you entertained/ thinking while waiting. Service is also good with little touches. The coconut chocolate at the finish are super delicious too.

Acacia Queen in Ubud is just truly beautiful! From the visual scene, the atmosphere, the beautiful staff and the incredible food. I am so glad I stop in here along my travels. Who wouldn't want to be swinging their way into breakfast 🌸🥰

Very good👍 Passing by this place several times, I thought it looked beautiful, but I couldn’t understand why there weren’t any visitors. It always seemed rather empty. Today, I finally decided to have lunch here, and I wasn’t disappointed — quite the opposite. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the Balinese food is delicious. I definitely recommend coming here and enjoying a meal with a view of the rice terraces.

Definitely Warung worth visiting. Seafood Red Curry was amazing - so highly recommended. The prices are affordable. Beautiful views on rice field. Airy place, so even hot days are easy to Relax. Good menu. Nasi goreng udang should have a bit of sauce on a side, because it was a bit too dry. Overall rating very good. I will visit this place in future again.

Recently opened café and restaurant with excellent local and international dishes. Staff were very friendly and restaurant was lovely and clean. It was a bit quiet when we went but it was a Monday night. Would definitely go back.

As advertised, it's peaceful, clean, quaint, and lovely to look over the rice paddies. There are several stand out dishes. The crispy duck is special. Get the prawn with local flavor and you have an excellent dipping sauce with the duck. On this day the strawberry drink was a tad weak, and the beer was warmish. That said, I would definitely return.

Mie goreng veggies and the beef rendang was so good! Really fresh food and great price. Staff are friendly and there is a really nice calming view whilst eating! Would recommend

The atmosphere here is spectacular, you really get a sense of being in the Ricefield. Great selection of Western and traditional meals. Beef Rendang, Tom Yum and Caesar salad we’re all delicious! The owner and staff were very professional and friendly.

A very beautiful and cozy place. While waiting at the small bar at the entrance, overlooking the rice fields, we had a fresh fruit juice and a beer, which were served with a small crunchy appetizer, slightly spicy (but not too much), and absolutely delicious. For dinner, we ordered steamed vegetable gyozas as a starter, which were very good, and for the main dishes a “Pork Belly Mie Goreng” and a “Tuna Rice Bowl” — both exquisite. The place itself is gorgeous, with a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are very kind, always smiling, and make you feel right at home. Prices are also very reasonable. Without a doubt, I highly recommend it!

We ate here everyday along our stay in Ubud. The price is also reasonable and also good for our taste. The staffs are also friendly and attentive. We even miss this place and food while staying in other places of Bali. Such a hidden gem. 10/10

We came to Warung Gauri based on the good reviews on Google. The atmosphere is amazing. It's a beautiful, off-the-beaten-path place where you can feel special. The service was friendly. However, the food was a bit disappointing. The curry was bland. It didn't taste like yellow curry at all. The duck wasn't cooked through. Only the Pepes Tuna was very good. We found it strange that the Arrack Attack drink comes with ingredients to mix yourself: arak, honey, and lime separately 🙁 We've been to Warung Gauri twice and have very mixed feelings.

Food was delicious and the pan fried chicken gyoza was a stand out. The pork belly mie goreng was slightly tough but still nice. The fresh avocado menu selection was a nice touch. Good prices. The staff were kind

The atmosphere and location are really nice and the staff is good (except the dog chewing on everyone shoes). But the food is really bad. Everything is bland or just sweet. We order 4 different dishes with my partner and everything was really disappointing. We order few beers and they were not even cold…

Doesn’t look much from the front but all the lovely seating is at the rear. I had the smoked duck and it was superb. And so cheap! Get there before 7pm if you want a seat straight away. I ended up going for a second visit. This time I had steamed gyoza (there were 4) which were ok but very heavy & gluggy. The chicken sate was nice but definitely order an extra peanut sauce

Warungs aren’t for Bali beginners. This restaurant has 2 levels, the food is absolutely amazing. You can smoke upstairs. The staff are friendly to foreigners. Will definitely come again.

Cuisine tasted absolutely amazing. The spices were definitely there and had a good amount of flavor. Sure prices are higher due to the tourism in ubud but overall an amazing experience if you like Indonesian cuisine! I would go back for certain!

We enjoyed a delicious meal here with interesting takes on Indonesian flavours. We ordered the tuna ceviche, Tempe green bean salad, smokey cauliflower with eggplant hummus and Tempe crumb, smoked duck with cucumber salad and another delicious salad. This was a lot for two people and we left very full especially with the kitchen creating a free bite and welcome drink at the start. Would highly recommend - the staff were wonderful and the decor was beautiful too

CRAZZYYY GOOD, you HAVE to check out Liap Liap on Monkey Forest Road - it’s peak Ubud: part vibey hotspot, part cozy smokehouse hideaway. Walk in through the big open wall facing the street, and boom - smoky aromas, chill vibes, top service, and food that slaps, all wrapped in the buzz and heartbeat of Ubud. Get the beef rendang minang - slow-cooked, spice-loaded, basically a hug on a plate paired with ridiculously fragrant coconut rice. Oooh and the coconut tart with mango sorbet is straight-up dessert sorcery. Already planning my return for the smoked octopus rujak - saw it, wanted it, questioned all my life choices, still not over it. Cocktails are fire too - start with the Bisma Gardens (gin + herbs = 💯). BONUS: It’s part of Bisma Eight, so sneak over to the hotel in the back which is an absolute vibe - think bougie poolside bar, cozy cabanas, and all the laid-back luxe you didn’t know you needed. And definitely don’t skip No Más bar upstairs above Liap Liap restaurant — live music, neon glow, post-dinner party energy, good chaos. Trusttt — you need this in your life. Just book ahead!

The food is excellent, freshly prepared on the spot. The staff is very nice. Highly recommended! My favorite is mango and shrimp salad that is simply delicious! Easy to find on Monkey Forest Road.

We had a beautiful lunch here. We tried the grilled fish, a side salad, with steamed rice, and it was so delicious. I do recommend the combo. They also had a nice menu with other good choices.

Came here twice in three days the food is THAT good!! 🩷 The Smokey flavour from the fire is delicious, I got a seafood platter to myself both times and it’s a great amount if you’re hungry. The Miso corn is incredible and definitely try the traditional Balinese desserts! Also delicious 😍 thanks again!
