Good food and a singular overworked server that handled her job & the dinner rush well.

While on a bit of an explorative drive in the inter Provincial Park area, we chose to stop here as it looked interesting and had some menu variety. It’s a quaint kind of rustic atmosphere with old rock playing in the background. They feature daily specials as well as regular menu items. We chose a special - bratwurst and reg item - pad tai bowl. Both were pretty good as was the radler. Our server was very pleasant as well.

I had a small lasagna, piping hot. Good Caesar salad and luscious garlic bread. My husband had the pile of bones - crunchy just like they advertise, and beef barley soup which we had just been talking about in the car on the way here. Filled all of our cravings.

One of the best pizzas I have ever had in Saskatchewan.

Small Town Gem..... My wife and I had lunch here recently, food and service were great, it is now my "go to" place when in Maple Creek.

This restaurant is okay if you have absolutely no other options. We were there for a wedding and there were other tables, but our table of four entered before two others and got our food last out of the three tables (took about 60 minutes). The wait staff were just two people trying to help everyone but there were things that were forgotten (hot sauce and milk when requested) and they also did not check in for drinks regularly. Our food also came out cold (toast had solid butter on it and eggs were cold, even the hot water for our tea was warm only) when we did get served. It was edible and if we had any other options we would have explored them.

The food is absolutely fantastic. Some of the best burgers I've ever had. The seafood pasta is fresh, the staff are warm and inviting. I highly recommend this place.

I had such a wonderful experience at Ivan Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was full of flavor and prepared beautifully. Our server was phenomenal: attentive, kind, and made us feel so well taken care of. On top of that, the atmosphere is really, really welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. Highly recommend!

The food here is amazing. You can expect that anything you order from Ivan’s will be delicious. My favourite thing to get here is the cedar plank salmon. It had a delectable lemon dill butter sauce, seasonal vegetables, and jasmine rice. Everything pairs so nicely. I recommend making reservations to guarantee your spot. The staff are always so nice and accommodating. Portion sizes are big, too. Every time we are in Cypress Hills, we have to come here at least once!

We ate here on a recommendation and it was VERY good. My husband ordered the prime rib (which was unreal) and my daughter said “this is the best burger I’ve ever had in my whole life!” We all enjoyed our meals. It was reasonably priced for such delicious and beautifully arranged plates. We tried out the white IPA from Rafter R Brewing in Maple Creek, which we also highly recommend. ;)

The food was great. We were looking for something in the Park that was not burgers and pizza so we stopped here for pasta and steak and was great. They have a kids menu. Tasty drinks. Great service. I took one star off for atmosphere as the music was nice but wish they had more of a view or outdoor patio experience. The bar in the resort is just finishing building a south facing large deck so maybe this can be combined with the restaurant, too bad the deck will look on to the parking lot.

Food tastes amazing and the restaurant is clean. Breakfast took an hour to come to our table and the food was quite cold. A nice place with yummy food, but plan accordingly.

We decided to have breakfast here instead of at the resort we had breakfast at the day before. What a great dinner! The omelet had the perfect egg to vegetable to cheese ratio, and was served hot. The food was a big portion size, and the service friendly and fast. We did not leave hungry. Price point was also reasonable. Would recommend this place to any travellers looking for a good breakfast spot!

Such amazing service! Our server was so friendly and energetic, she was amazing! Got the special salad and it was so good, the maple dressing was great and it was a huge portion, it came with Bannock which was also so good! Banana Cream Pie was also great and our uncle got a burger which he loved!

The most perfect breakfast food I have ever had in Canada in the most peaceful community. The cheese was perfectly cheesy, huge pancakes, sweet hot choco and good specials! Leaves you refreshing with their apple juice too along with friendly people:)) I am glad my parents took me and my sister here for breakfast while stopping by in Saskatchewan after our trip to Alberta! Very much recommend it their grilled cheese!

Great small town diner. Food was fantastic. I was there for breakfast. Food came quick especially for there only being one staff member working the day I was there. The sign in the washroom was the best.

This used to be a great place but has since gone downhill. The waitress was horribly rude and abrupt. There were dried feces on the wall in the women's bathroom and the walls were filthy.The coffee was stale, milk was brought instead of cream (with no warning) and the waitress never came back once the food was brought to the table. It was pricey considering the cheap ingredients used. Food was undercooked. They were not busy and now I see why. I cannot recommend this restaurant. It was a horrible experience.

Eaten here a few times and although it was never a great experience but never bad enough I’d complain. Until today. Never in my life have I had anyone let alone the owner of a restaurant yell in my face like that over screwing up my take out order not once but twice. Not to mention already giving a generous tip and being understandable about the mix up. I stayed calm and reasonable the entire time while she proceeded to yell in my face while another man yelled at her in Chinese trying to calm her down. With every experience I’ve had there I’ve never found her to be polite but never rude so I tried to be understanding and make it out to be the language barrier but after yelling in my face while remaining calm and reasonable safe to say she has lost not only my business but also my respect.

The owner of the local campground said that this place served Chinese food as if it was 1950, so we had to check it out. And it was! As soon as you walk in, you feel like time has stood still. The menu is 1/2 Chinese, 1/2 “regular”, as in burgers and breakfast items. Since we didn’t want leftovers, did want Chinese, and wanted to channel the 1950 vibe, we got 2 different dinners for one, complete with fluorescent red sauce. They were great.

Prices are reasonable here for some decent grub. They don’t skimp out on veggies!

Our go-to place in town for a quick, hot chinese meal. Whenever we crave for some stir-fry that's delicious and easy on the pocket, we just drop by here and enjoy.

This is a little gem of I ever did find one. The service was awesome, polite, and very helpful. Quick to see if we needed anything and how the kids were doing. They have a good sized menu of both Western and Chinese food. The kids went with chicken fingers and chicken nuggets. Both kids were super happy with them. We went with the large Ginger beef, fried rice, and lemon chicken. We went with this thinking we would have leftovers. Well the giant plates came out, and it was so good we cleaned em up. Yikes, but it was so good. And all that food for like $10 a plate. Absolutely great value for your money. We had an early dinner so there wasn't many customers at the time, but as we were there the nice thing to see were all the locals just walk in and take their preferred table. Ordering up the regular what ever it was. We had a great experience and without a doubt we would return.

Ordered the double bacon cheese burger with fries the food was hot and the hambuger was homemade, not a froz3n patty. The burger was huge, only disappointment was the fries were just frozen fries, but they were cooked perfectly crisp. Prices were fair

This place does not have much curb appeal and the decor is seriously lacking. We came in for a quick lunch and were not disappointed, the food was fast, fresh, and tasted great. The prices were very good and the service was friendly.

The crue at Cypress Pizza and Chicken go above and beyond. There chicken is fantastic and the pizzas even better. Highly recommend. Cooked the way we like it and full of toppings.

Phenomenal pizza, always quick (20mins) and they have good pepperoni, big thick slices not the shitty little ones like BP's has on their pizza. Excellent fully cheese, and the crust is always perfect. Great price for what you get.

I always get pizza here when I visit Maple Creek. Amazing pizza and very filling, we always end up with leftovers, so it's really good value.

Their fully loaded pizza is epic. A large portion will feed 3 adults easily. Super yummy. Don't get the BBQ chicken though. It's subpar.

Stayed in maple creek for a night and ordered take out from here. It was about 5:30 and place was empty. Staff was super friendly and food was quick to come out. I ordered the cowboy burger and I am not saying it wasn’t good but it wasn’t good to me. Portion size was generous enough. Price to me for a small town was crazy. Burger, fries a can of pop $23. For the price alone I’ll try another place next time.

We were staying at the attached motel and we're happy to hear of this convenient restaurant right next door that was supposed to have great pizza (according to reviews). We entered (about 5 pm on a September Tuesday) and we're the only people in the restaurant. One older man was at the pick up counter...the cashier/server was talking with him. A sign on the counter stated " NO CASH"...but it appeared the men were sorting through a pile of loose coins. We waited at a table for 5 minutes (ignored). Wondered if we were supposed to go up to the counter to pick up our own menus; waited another 4 minutes (ignored) and then just left. So that was our experience Jimmy's kitchen.

Ordered takeout as we were staying at the Cobble Creek Hotel which is very nice, with our fur baby from Ontario. Haven't had the best of food along our travels. I just wanted some greens. Ordered the Cesar salad with chicken and the mushroom caps that were indeed the best I've had. Fresh and yummy. Hit the spot! Thank you

INCREDIBLE pizza. So, it looks a bit sketchy when you walk in, but we were served the best pizza we’ve ever eaten. Homemade crust, slabs of ham, pineapple, the perfect ratio of cheese, you name it. Absolutely worth the stop, or order to take it up to Cypress Hills with you!

Ordered wings and pizza. All excellent!! If you want some pizza, this is the place to go!! Don't let the outside fool you. Not much to look at but once I side all is good.

Got the bacon cheeseburger with fries and cheese sticks and wife got the chicken caesar salad with mushroom caps. Everything was prepared perfectly and had lots of taste. The cook is such a nice guy. Would definitely come back.

Buffet half empty, food cold and bland tasting. Best thing was french fries and banana bread....No one came to check on us-only customers (should have been the tip off). Bill over $55 - we complained and manager said turn off warmers and don't add food after a certain time (buffet running still an hour to go). Gave 10% discount and she thought that was great. Should have known better....live and learn. NEVER AGAIN

Waited over an hour and half and still left without eating. 2 tables and 2 pick up orders were there when we arrived, took almost 30min to get a menu. 2 tables left, one complained that they weren’t paying for an incorrect meal, then 2 new tables came in. Waitress couldn’t keep track of the 3 tables, which was which or if we had ordered a what. Delivered someone else’s food to our table twice. Only one person in our group of 5 got their meal which was wrong, and the other 2 tables were served. 4 of us never did eat. We even had to find our own cutlery from the empty buffet set up. We paid for the single incorrect meal via cash on the table and left. The place needs to be cleaned and a staffing overhaul.

It was a dirty smelly place with a horrible waitresses.. she smell like cigarettes.. and the food was almost unedeble... Buffet was closed but the was still old dry up food ... U don't know if it's even safe 🫢

The service here is second-to-none: they have even gone so far as to re-stock 80% of the buffet when my family arrived slightly after buffet hours on a slow day. Wonderful staff!! The food here is good; I prefer a slightly wider variety in a buffet, but there's nothing wrong with a simpler selection in a small town - and you can always order off the menu if the buffet doesn't offer your preferences. The atmosphere is quaint; small town, polite, quiet, clean - no complaints whatsoever. A good spot to stop and 'refuel' !!

Clean, convenient and friendly. This location is merged with a convenience store and gas station. Plenty of parking, and a convenient way to fill all your needs while in Maple Creek. One star removed for a non-functional women's washroom at the time of our visit.

Long black hair in my sub, wasted my whole 30 minute lunch break just to get my sub and checked out, they always get the sub wrong. WORST SUBWAY EVER

Put an online order in at 8:30 because Google said the restaurant was open until 9:30. It said it would be red at 8:45. Showed up at 8:45. The whole building is locked down and closed, and they still took my money. When I get my money back I will change my review from a one-star to at least a four. This has been rectified

Horrible service, slow. waited 30 minutes just to take my order, even with only 4 people in front in the same group. Someone asked where the washroom was and the manager looked up at him, then went back on his phone ignoring him. Won't be coming here again

Slowest subway in North America. If you got nothing better too do than too sit around, then this is the place for you. Slogan should be "Hurry up and wait" not "Always Fresh"

Very Poor customer service. I believe hole heartedly in customer service, from making my customers feeling welcome to having them leave happy and satisfied. The guy never spoke a word until he asked how we wanted to pay. We felt like a huge inconvenience to him. I will never step foot in this location again.

They left the kitchen open for us being the only place open in town. Amazing food, great vibes, great bar with goodies. Customer service was phenomenal. Server was very nice. Definitely recommend.

A nice little “hole in the wall” I visited with my crew on a travelling job, turn of the century style with modern comfort and great food. Hope I have an excuse to come back to town soon to return

I have had vegan meals with more meat than the " burger" I got. Our server had the personality of a disgruntled wal mart greeter that wanted to leave even more than we did. Dismal atmosphere that had the slight aroma suicide and late child support payments.

We recently visited Grotto Gardens Family Fun Farm and it was an absolutely incredible experience! 🌿 This place is perfect for the whole family — both kids and adults will enjoy it. There are so many adorable animals to meet: alpacas, chickens, roosters, friendly little goats, horses, donkeys, and sheep. The goats especially are so playful and welcoming! 🐐 The farm also has a wonderful gift shop where you can buy alpaca wool blankets and ponchos, local honey, homemade berry jam, frozen berries, and beautiful handmade crafts from local artisans. There’s also a café with refreshing drinks and family meals, a restaurant, and even an antique shop full of treasures. One of the highlights is the mini golf course, where you can play surrounded by sheep and even ostriches — such a unique experience! Plus, the tractor rides with guided tours about the animals were both fun and educational. And if you’re looking for something extra special, they even offer goat yoga with the cutest little goats ever. 🧘‍♀️🐐 We had a truly wonderful day here. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to spend a fun, relaxing, and memorable day with family!

Very relaxing place within a few minutes from town. Make sure you try the their cafe. Pastries and Hot meals are top notch. The Mini Golf is so fun and the interactions with the Petting Zoo is a highlight. Grotto An ideal choice for families looking for an affordable and engaging day out in the Cypress Hills area. A place where kids can burn off energy, and adults can relax and enjoy the country setting.

It s a really nice place!!! It's relaxing. The animals are beautiful and friendly. The ice cream is delicious! I can say it's the best around!!! The prices are really good! I really enjoyed it!

The gardens are beautiful! Admission to the petting zoo is by donation, feeding and watching the goats is so much fun if you like goats. This is a great place to bring the kids to spend some time and grab a quick bite to eat afterwards. There are lots of places to sit while you eat. The bathrooms were spotless and so cute.

My husband and I went there and it was a lot of fun. We played minutare golf and the lady at the window offered us bug spray because of the mosquitoes which was really nice of her. We then feed the goats and the alpacas . The food was good. We then went on the tour feed the ponies sheep more goats and alpacas even saw a 6 week old baby goat it was a triplet . Thank you Grotto Gardens for amazing memories and fun.

Very disappointed in Tim Hortons in Maple Creek. My family was stranded on highway#1 with weather in the minus 20s with a windchill in the minus 30s. They got a ride into Maple Creek and were taken to Tim Hortons. They were not allowed entry as they have a very small "non-shedding" dog. They were not even allowed to stand between the 2 doors, out of the cold! Shame on you. I realize that dogs are not generally allowed, but this was an emergency situation. Very poor customer service and lack of empathy for a family in a very dire situation which could have ended very badly.

I would give it 0 out of 5 stars if I could. I think the reason they got a 4.4 rating is because the people who live there don't have a choice. They're the only Tim Hortons in their city. I asked for room-temperature bottled water, and the staff or crew said they only have cold ones. She said they got their delivery that day, and they stored “everything” in their refrigerator. It is the first time I’ve encountered this; even busy locations like Vancouver have room-temperature bottled water available. Also, the location was very dirty. We don’t have a choice but to stop for a snack because we’ve been driving for 4 hours straight. Their garbage was already full; the tables had coffee spills and breadcrumbs, and napkins were all over the floor. It’s awful. All of the staff were in the back; there were like 4 to 5 staff there going in and out, just chatting with the cashier. The cashier kept wiping near the coffee machine, yet it was still dirty when we arrived. We weren't greeted and got ignored—not until we rang the bell. Three of us were in front of the counter, and a family was next in line. There were only 2–3 cars in the drive-thru, yet they got our order messed up and service was slow; the staff don’t have their nameplates either.

Subject: Unacceptable Service and Overcharging To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent experiences I've had at your [maple creek] Tim Hortons. I have been a loyal customer for years, but the service at this specific location has been consistently disappointing and unacceptable. Firstly, your store closes earlier than the time listed on your app and Google. This is not just inconvenient but a waste of my time and gas, especially given that it’s a long drive from my house. If you're going to advertise certain hours, you should honor them. It’s extremely frustrating to drive all the way there only to find the doors closed before the listed time. Secondly, the attitude of your staff, particularly two Filipino employees, is completely unprofessional. On my most recent visit, I ordered a muffin through the drive-thru and **specifically asked** for it to be heated. The woman working the window handed me a cold muffin, so I politely asked her to heat it as I had originally requested. Her response was beyond inappropriate — she gave me a nasty look, muttered what I can only assume was an insult in Tagalog under her breath, and snatched the muffin out of my hand. This level of disrespect is absolutely unacceptable, and no customer should be treated this way. Additionally, they consistently fill iced cappuccinos below the cup's actual capacity. This is a regular occurrence, and it's become clear that this location doesn’t care about quality or consistency. If I’m paying for a full drink, I expect to receive it. Now to the **50 cents overcharge**: This was a younger Filipino employee who arguing with me. I was charged extra for a caramel iced cappuccino that was part of my offer. When I brought this up, the same employee refused to listen to my concerns and kept repeating herself, trying to justify the overcharge with nonsensical explanations. It was clear she was more interested in arguing than solving the issue. Even the manager acknowledged that I was overcharged, but instead of owning up to the mistake, the employee rudely said, “Is it just for 50 cents? Take it and go.” It’s not about the 50 cents; it’s about the principle. Arguing with customers and dismissing their concerns is disgraceful customer service. This is not the first time this has happened, but I let it go the first time. However, it’s clear that this location has a persistent problem with rude employees and poor service. At this point, I’m considering taking my business elsewhere unless serious changes are made. I expect this issue to be addressed immediately and for someone from your corporate office to follow up with me. A business that allows such disrespect and incompetence to go unchecked will lose customers quickly.

So glad to finally have access to more chain restaurants in town!! Every time I've been here whatever I've ordered both drive through and inside has been ready super quickly. Sometimes the customer service is a bit touch and go but their still learning so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Overall great timmies location!!

Sometimes it is ok. It depends on who is working. We stop in if we are going past when traveling for appointments sometimes.

I pulled up to the wondow and asked for a bacon turkey club and 2 peach quenchers they say wait 1 second and leave for 5 minutes they re take the order and ask what kind of peach quencher and ask sparkling water or lemonade so I ask what is that and they don't answer I say a sparkling water and it tasted horrible and very watered down and I ask for a bacon turkey club and they say what kind and I say what you mean what kind it's a turkey bacon club sandwich they provide to burn it and it tastes horrible and it's uncut I will never receive service from here again.
