One of my favorite places to dine in Algiers, especially during the summer. The staff are very professional and friendly, Kamel and Mahdi are always the best host ! I highly recommend Tantra if you are in Algiers.

One of the best chic restaurants in Algeria. A bit expensive, but fully justified by the quality of the food and service. It’s perfect for couples, business dinners, or groups. I’ve been going there for a long time, and the food has recently improved, a great change. The atmosphere is romantic and elegant, with soft lighting and beautiful decor that reflects Algerian identity. Everything is clean, including the toilets. The owner or manager is kind and professional. Starters are fresh and delicious, I highly recommend the stracciatella with eggplant and the fish carpaccio. For dessert, the millefeuille or crème brûlée are both excellent. And the coffee? Easily one of the best in Algeria, real Illy, made just like in Italy. A solid 10/10.

First time comers, my wife and i had so much fun together. The food is just top notch, you can’t go wrong with it, thanks to the professional staff and the owner who got a great taste. Wonderful!

This is perfect example of how you run/manage a restaurant, superb to everyone who works here. We decided to go here because La Ravioli in downtown closed down. Upon walking in the staff was smiling and seated us within 2 minutes. The menu is simple to read with pictures and prices. Now the food…the portions are huge and family style so you can share and still get full. The falafel had a nice crispy texture with a hint of cinnamon I believe. If you want Syrian food this is the place in Algiers to go. The staff was very quick to clean the tables and I also loved the silverware was packaged so you know you have clean and sanitized silverware. My husband and I loved everything about this place. Will definitely be back again.

The servers are welcoming and are open to answer all your questions. The menue changes daily so you can't really decide what you want beforehand. The food however was not up to my expectations, considering the prices i expected better portions and taste but i was let down. The garnish/side dish was the same no matter what you order which gave me a bad impression since it shows that the chef is quite lazy. Considering the fact that the food is the most important part here i sadly wouldn't recommend this place.

Overall cleanliness needs serious improvement. 🍽 Restaurant & Food Services: The restaurant is catastrophic—nowhere near the level of a 5-star hotel. Staff lack professionalism, basic service skills, and even hygiene standards. They do not allow guests to bring even small food items (like sweets) from outside, claiming it is for guest safety, which feels unreasonable and unnecessary. 👥 Staff & Customer Service: Staff seem unaware of what customer service truly means. There’s a noticeable lack of training, professionalism, and hospitality. Management appears disconnected from guest expectations. ⚠ Conclusion: This hotel has enormous potential thanks to its garden and historic value, but it needs a complete overhaul—from maintenance to customer service. The experience happened with my son, he went with his friend to use the swimming pool as he is visiting his home country for few weeks, so he called to hotel to ask about the availability to use the swimming pool and if he can visit with his friend, upon arrival he went to the reception and he was told where to go and pay at the door to get to the pool, to his surprise went as he arrived the agent by the door who by the way thinks he owns the hotel denied him and his friend entry to the pool and the reason was because he felt like it not to let them in. My son was disappointed by the treatment he received and no valid reason was given to him to why he couldn’t use the pool. The agent simply didn’t like my son and his friend and that is discrimination and racism the upper management need to step up and teach their staff members about customer service. Very disappointing and we will be making a formal complaint against this agent .

I checked in on October 2025, and very happy to be in Algeria after 15 years. Upon arrival, there was dried urine on the toilet, and the door to the outside didn’t close properly, so I had to change rooms. Unfortunately, the new room was not vacuumed and still looked unclean. Then, on October 14, 2025 (around 16:15), I ordered a sandwich and waited about 45 minutes for it. Since I had a meeting starting shortly after, I couldn’t eat it right away. As a native US American, 'Two Guys' restaurant is hands down 100x better than the original US American restaurant 'Five Guys'. If I can describe the burgers at this establishment, it is as if 'In-n-Out' and 'Smashburger' had a golden progeny child. I recommend this eatery to anyone especially those who are food enthusiasts. We have already visited this location three times and on each separate occasion, we have tried a different item off thier menu. Each item and every single bite did not dissapoint. It is worthy to note that this eatery is very clean and well-managed. It is also commendable that this establishment does not sell genocidal products (e.g., Coca Cola, Schweppes, Pepsi,...) In my experience of trying other burgers in this country thus far, this is the only fast food restaurant worthy to even be on the list of "must eat again". If I was stuck in the Sahara, I will try to make my way back to 'Two Guys' just to eat their burgers.

It’s been 4 years since I last visited signature and I was looking forward to going again. We went as a family, and everyone was looking forward to it. Unfortunately for me, the menu changed but this was not mentioned anywhere on their socials. I was expecting sushi which was on the old menu. The new menu was very typical of any restaurant; you have your meats, pasta and fish. The food was a little expensive but the quality was there. I guess it’s something you’ll pay only for special occasions. Unfortunately the biggest thing that let it down is the smokers. The restaurant looks high class until you get the people that are smoking inside. They say they have separate areas for smokers and non smokers, but this is an indoor space. You can smell it and the smoke blows on your face. It’s disgusting and one thing that needs to be addressed right away. My wife couldn’t stand the smell and did not manage to enjoy her food. I spoke to the manager afterwards and they said they’re going to address it. One other negative is the servers, I requested a bottle of water, the server forgot and I was waiting for 20 minutes until I complained to another server. Yet other tables were requesting ash trays for cigarettes and were receiving a prompt service. Overall, it was not the Signature I experience 4 years ago and was disappointed in that. I hope the management do listen and make some changes.

My favorite restaurant in Algeria. We've been coming here almost every other week for about a year now, and the experience is always great. The staff are welcoming and polite, and the food has been consistently good every single time. It’s rare to find a place that maintains this level of quality over time. The atmosphere is nice, comfortable, and the service is always great. Definitely a reliable spot we keep coming back to and recommend to others. Also, never tasted a better Hrira than the one I tasted here.

Le Dauphin has a fantastic location right at the fishing port, with beautiful views and a terrace that’s perfect for sunset. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. For one of the most expensive restaurants in Algeria, the food and service are completely disappointing. The fish dishes all taste the same, and surprisingly, even though it’s next to the fish market, the quality didn’t feel as fresh as what you find in cheaper local places. Service is slow, even when the restaurant is less than half full and there are plenty of staff standing around. It feels like they’re catering mainly to foreigners, so there’s little effort made to deliver genuine quality. They wont give you the best tables saying they are “reserved”. No one came ever. Overall, the views and setting don’t make up for the poor food and service. For the price, it’s really not worth it.

Which one was the correct chicken tandoori, I don't know. But both were delicious The steamed rice was a bit dry but it became better with the sauces of the dishes. I only tried the katmer here so this review might change in the future. The place is smaller than I expected it to be, it's just average in size but it's not hard to find a table to eat. Service was okay, servers were side eyeing us because we entered with a takeout box and maybe because we only ordered dessert but they were polite. The katmer was really good, tea is complementary. Turkish tea is not good in my opinion but it went well with the creamy and sweet dessert. I might have to try other things since this was a satisfying first trial.

Alcohol is served - the local Koutoubia wine is both tasty and cheap (by US/EU price standards). Staff is super friendly. They do allow smoking, which bothers some but was fine with our group.

Wow, the couscous here is beyond delicious! One night I had lamb, the next chicken (both not the prettiest presentation, but basic is good in this case). The order comes with a big tureen of vegetable soup that you spoon over the couscous, it’s a meal in itself. The staff is animated and opinionated— they refused to accede to our request for white wine with our lamb, insisting that their Algerian “President” red was the best to order (or maybe they were out of stock of white wine?)— it did go perfectly.

I love the atmosphere. Their desserts are acceptable. I ordered a milkshake it had a wired flavour and it was without any decoration which made me sad! I find their products a little bit expensive compared to its quality. As you see in the picture the food is literally undecorated.

Best Indian restaurant in Algeria ! The decor was mesmerizing and the service very professional. The chefs are Indian so you get to try real authentic Indian food. The only reason I took one star off is because the tikka masala was not as creamy as I love it, and it was overly too sweet. Never tried a Tikka masala with that much sweetness. The rest was delicious, the rice, drinks and cheese naan ( a must !!). Overall a must try experience in Algiers.

The service on the other hand, was not good at all, in fact i give it 1/10, the waiters were too slow, you have to call them or else they'll forget about you, they took too long to clean the table, prepare it, and we had to go get the menu ourselves. If I'm paying that much money, i want to be served properly. I don't think I'll go again, 45+ minutes of waiting is a big no. Too bad, i loved the food.

I had other things to do so I only got the beef wok and I have to say that it's the best wok I've had in Algiers til now. The flavors and textures were enjoyable and of course the beef was the star of the show. The prices are high and things add up when you buy an entree, main course and dessert.

As a Turk, I have some feedbacks: First of all, there is no Raki or Çay (Tea) in a Turkish restaurant??? How is that possible? The service is very slow. The meat and the mezes were mediocre. Overall, disappointing. I don’t think the owner of this place has ever been to a proper kebab place in Turkey.

The manager tried to add too much extra food on our order. We couldn’t finish all and had to pay for what we didn’t order. We had 9 people. We ordered 4 soup, 4 salad, 2 big plates of fishes (each plates for 4 people). We asked the restaurant to add a little bit of prawn and calamari on the fish plates. However, the manager brought 2 full big plates of calamari and prawn, each for 4 people. It meant we had the main course for 16 people. At the end, we had to pay for everything that we didn’t order.

For more details about the actual food: As appetizers, my friend and I had shrimp 🍤 bourek which was sadly disappointing because it was mostly béchamel and I couldn't really taste the shrimp. It was an even bigger disappointment for my friend who doesn't like the cream. We also took the cocktail avocado 🥑 and 🍤 salad which was exquisite! 😗👌 highly recommend. The main dishes were Sepia which my friend loved and Merlan grillé for me which was a bit meh, not a big fan, i had to settle for it as a third choice but nothing wrong with the dish itself (except the lack of salt in all of their food... but it wasn't that big of a deal, not a deal breaker anyway).
