We didn’t stay at the hotel but just came because we heard the restaurant was amazing and it didn’t disappoint. We all ordered different dishes and each were delicious. I ordered the goat tajine which was out of this world. The meat fell off the bone and the meat was so tender. Views were spectacular too. Additionally the service was the best we had on our trip. Efficient, super friendly and attentive and kind.

The food probably looks quite nice, but the set menus seem to limit the flexibility of what you can order. I stopped by on a very hot day just hoping to have a short break and a cup of tea. Even though the place was almost empty, the staff kindly but firmly explained that they only serve full meals. While I understand that every restaurant has its own policy, it was a bit disappointing — especially since other nearby places were happy to offer just a drink.

This place was the best of the whole valley around since Tanghir and it would be the perfect stay as well if we had more time to explore this beautiful area. The food was fantastic rustic - very fresh and the tangine taste was so intense of the beef and goat. We ate them too quickly and forgot the take photos :) The service was 11/10 and I would defend come also for a stay to enjoy this epic view for longer!

La Petite Gorge is a wonderful family-run restaurant with very friendly owners and team members. The food is amazing, and the MVP for our group was definitely the Berber Kefta Tagine — everyone absolutely loved it! The property is situated right in the gorge, offering spectacular views from the balcony and terrace. Highly recommended for an authentic and scenic dining experience.

Absolutely outstanding experience! During our two-week trip through Morocco, we dined at many restaurants — but the food at this hotel in Todra Gorge was by far the best. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A real highlight was the goat tajine — it was my first time having it made with goat, and it was delicious and perfectly cooked. What truly made the stay unforgettable was Hamid, our wonderful host. He speaks many languages and welcomed us with such warmth, kindness, and incredible service. He went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Highly recommend this hotel not only for its comfort and location, but especially for its exceptional cuisine and the hospitality of Hamid. A real gem in the Todra Gorge!

Exceptional place. Delicious food and a great view into the gorge. The owner was exceptionally kind - a motorbike we were riding broke down past the gorge. He saw us, stopped and rescued us. While waiting for our bikes to be fixed we were treated with amazing views and the tastiest lunch.

Had lunch at this restaurant. Good price, but long wait. Beef skewer was a bit hard. Lamb tagine was fantastic. Orange juice was nice and fresh. Dessert was a letdown: raw tangerines, unwashed and uncut.

Very good restaurant right next to one of the central squares in Tinghir. The owner of the restaurant was very friendly and took us directly to the roof terrace, from where you have a beautiful view. I had a menu consisting of a “Berber-style” omelette, a tagine with chicken, potatoes and vegetables and a mint tea (60 MAD). The food is accompanied by first-class olives and flatbread. The food and service were very good. If you want to eat authentic Moroccan food, you should definitely come here.

Very good food. We have eaten there three times and really enjoyed the chicken and beef tagines and salad - some of the best in Morocco (we have been visiting all over Morocco for a month). The chicken skewers were good too. Good value!

I have been to this small restaurant already 8 or 9 years ago. Then the owners didn't speak any English yet. Now after many good comments and many tourists coming, they even learned some English. The food is still very good and very reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is still not fashionable or anything but authentic.

We stopped for a lunch here. Staff was welcoming and spoke English. We ordered 2 meals (60DH each) and for this price we got plenty of food: salad, main course and dessert. There are different options which you can combine. Pita bread that was included awesome, fresh and delicious.

Run with true care by a very nice family. Rooms are very comfortable, with very nice chairs and sitting areas throughout the property. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic. The only small downside is that it is a family so the screams and crying of three children can get a bit much when trying to relax. A great choice in the area.

Someone who shows such a lack of respect for drivers and tour guides that he even wrote a sign in Arabic so that tourists wouldn’t understand it: “Drivers and guides are kindly requested to wait for customers outside.” In response to a message from one of the guides inquiring about the sign, he replied that he wrote it in Arabic so that "it stays between us." The food and hospitality was so good. I have eaten lots of tagines but here it was one of the best. The food is great and made with so much care. The track there is a little gravely but wouldn't put me off returning.

Lahcen and his family are really great hosts. They were always very helpful and friendly. I have to say that all the people in the village were super nice. Take a walk through the oasis and see for yourself ;) I also recommend eating at the accommodation as the food is really really good. If you want to visit the Todra Gorge, then definitely spend a night at the Kasbah Petit Nomade. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay! :)

The team are wonderful and definitely go the extra mile to make their guests feel comfortable. The pool is great. Breakfast and dinner are served on a beautiful terrace, overlooking a palm tree orchard. The food was exceptional and more refined than many of the other Moroccan dishes we have had. We stopped here randomly, we were looking for a place for lunch on Google and noticed the high rating! They weren’t even really open but welcomed us in (group of 9 friends) and made us what they had which was salad, olives, bread and skewers all delicious but the best part was the family.. so friendly, welcoming and entertaining! People here are very nice. They take service seriously. The foods however is fairly average. The usual grill, tagine and humous.

Quick but tasty enough food for tourists. Four menu options to keep it simple. Vegetarian tagine is also gluten free. Fixed price 120 MAD (in 2025) for multi course meal. Nice outdoor area. Polite cats wait for a taste at the end of the meal.

Nice quick and clean service. Food was very cheap and the staff were nice. There's lots of different little areas to sit as well as plenty of animals. We were lucky enough to see peacocks and their new baby's. Toilets were clean and modern

Stopped here for lunch with a G Adventures tour and it was a disappointing experience. Staff rushed us to order, were unfriendly, and the portions were small and forgettable. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, with staff running up and down the stairs while the owner spoke harshly and loudly to them in front of customers. Overall, it felt chaotic and unwelcoming. Would not recommend.

I would avoid this place as I am sure there must be better options. We went because of the view (admittedly good) and the other reviews, but it ended up being incredibly expensive for some basic chicken skewers (200), tea (20) and water (30).

Went to Tondra for a climbing trip with some friends. The place is what it is: authentic and according to the price you paid, 20 minutes walk from the gorge and fist climbing pitches . Business run by the family and very local food which gave a real berber experience. Mohamed and his family were very welcoming and helpful. Will suggest and come back to this place defo.

I do really like my stay in this hotel. Tariq took very good care of the guests. The hotel has a very centric location , close to many restaurants and the CTM bus station. I enjoyed the birds concert in the morning, the flowers of the gardens and the tranquility in my room. I do recommend this hotel.

We ate the tagine for lunch here, two days in a row, and we loved it! Mohammed, the owner, is really nice and interested in people. He was really helpful with adjusting the food to our gluten intolerance.

We stayed one night in this hostel. The double room is OK, and the bed is comfortable, as is the bathroom - take care for the hot water to 'order' it well in advance as it takes ~45min to have it ready. Only minus is the non-functional WIFI at the time of visit (march 2020). Breakfast was good, and the place has a nice rooftop terrace with good views of the valley.

All three of us are still sick several days after our visit. And yes, we are quite sure it is because of this place. Prices were way off the menu too. The guy who was having us is a charmer, but not the honest kind. See the other reviews here which paint a similar picture.

After spending a week there, I would recommend this place for anybody who is looking for accomodation at the todra gorge. The owner and every employee have been so caring and and welcomed me as a part of the family. Clean, well maintained with a resonable price and a really nice place to spend your vacation or climbing trip.

Did not seem that busy (only 2 other tables at the time of arrival) but the one waiter seemed like he was doing everything. Would reccomend, just leave yourself a bit of extra time.

Like most visitors, we ended up in this restaurant after a long drive. When we called to double-check their kitchen hours, they were very welcoming. Food-wise, they warned us firsthand that food will take longer to get ready than usual. They explained that they do not pressure cook their tagines and present them in clay pots for the show. This was music to our ears because, as a Moroccan family, we can tell the difference between a tagine cooked from scratch in a clay pot and one that's pre-made in a pressure cooker. Their honesty immediately gained our trust and appreciation. The amazing view from the terrace was enough to distract us from our hunger anyway. Just check the video I attached to this review. Service-wise, Faisal and Ismaeel were attentive hosts. They helped us choose our dishes and gave the perfect recommendations for what we were looking for. They also helped provide a space for the family to pray. Faisal even gave me his jellaba to use for my worship. I highly recommend this place over any other in the area for its authenticity, service, and food quality.

We came here two times for dinner. What a cool place! The food was great, especially the Moroccan salad. The service was amazing, the guy who served us two evenings in a row is very kind, he had a ice contact with our kids. He knows a lot about the area, so it was interesting to listen his stories about berberian people and tips about the area. I highly recommend this place for dinner. We regret that we didn’t book a hotel by them as well, because we liked the vibe of this house for 100 percent.

Brother and I had ordered tacos and it were the best tacos we had eaten during our stay in Morocco. The hospitality was amazing. Too bad we only stayed for one night, I would love to have some more food from them.

Two guys from the netherlands here. We were welcomed by Hamza. One of the nicest people we met while on our. roadtrip. I had a pizza which was good, but my brother had a taco which was really good. The next day we decided to visit Relax again because of our previous good experience.

A very nice place but we were unlucky that it was raining and cold so we couldn't sit outside. We watched Ahmed cook and ate in his kitchen which felt like home. His food were freshly made, very nice home cooked food indeed! All the food were delicious unlike those we had in other restaurants. We were so full!

We had a lovely meal thanks to Ahmed! He met us with a torch at the bottom of the steps leading to the property and walked us through the garden to the kitchen. He prepared a delicious salad, bread, and a huge kofta and vegetable tagine followed by some tasty oranges. Ahmed's food is fresh and homemade with lots of love. It is quite the opposite of a tourist-trap! The thing that stood out most however was the generous portion sizes - although we tried our best, we didn't manage to finish all of the delicious food! The price is also very good considering the quantity, the atmosphere, and the experience. This outdoor restaurant is situated near a pond with fish and shaded by trees. The host was gracious, the food is simple and great value, and the atmosphere was relaxing.

We stopped by just for a cup of mint tea on a hot day and asked if they had a few biscuits to go with it. They didn’t have any, which was perfectly fine — we were happy just to enjoy our tea. But to our surprise, the owner kindly brought us some fries and fresh bread instead! Such a thoughtful and generous gesture.

Samir was a great host, and the food was enjoyable. The steak and tajine were tasty, and the pumpkin soup as a starter was a nice addition. Thanks to Samir and the team for a pleasant evening!

The day we went to Chez Michéle they offered a menu. We could choose between different options as a starter (soup or salad) and a main dish (chicken or beef) and a dessert. (We haven't asked for vegetarian options, maybe they would have been available too). The price was 150-160 Dirham each which is a fair price for what you get served! The olives and the bread at the beginning were fresh and the menu was very tasty and satisfying. Samir the waiter was very kind and helpful. Regarding the ambience: we could choose between two floors, an international one on the ground floor and a Moroccan one on the first floor which we took. The sofas there were very comfortable :)

Outstanding restaurant with fine cousine. High standard of interior design and good food. They also had vine, beer and spirits. 😀😇 The bartendrr spoked english flowlently and was very friendly, kind and polite. Prices were a little bit high for Morroco standard but still worth it.

We happened to drive past this very nice restaurant at lunch time a few days ago and had a great experience. First of all the set lunch menu with several options was delicious and affordable, and perhaps even more important was the great service of the waiter Mr. Samir. His service was impeccable, friendly and considerate. He patiently explained to us how Moroccan mint tea should be made and served. He alsoprovided a bag for us to bring the left-over fruit to our car. Thumbs up for Samir.

When you are a (European) tourist in Morocco and for one day, you don’t want to go for domestic food, here you will very likely get one of the good pizzas in Morocco.

The worst place to wait to get food in Tinghir. We waited almost 2 hrs for pizza and when We complained about the wait, the waiter's response was " you should wait!". .... We went across the street and got a vegetarian tagine for 40DH. We came back and paid them for the pies and told them to have them to go. The next day, my dog ate the pizza..... Service horrible, the wait is horrible, the price is off the market and no apology. I would not recommend the place.

Their vegetarian “taco” is quite good! Basically like a burrito meets a quesadilla. It has cheese and assorted vegetables (green beans, broccoli, potatoes, etc). And it has a good amount of spice!

What a good experience with great moment ... i have been here onetime with a group of some people and now here i am again with dady enjoying the view and talking (not latterly) i have only one issue that i met here .. so many tables here needs cleaning time to time because of the weather here in this city... but totally i love this place and i'll get back again.
