Their weekend buffet is simply delicious, it has everything you crave for a perfect breakfast! The place is adorable and cozy, making it a great spot not just for breakfast, but also for lunch and dinner. And of course, pairing it with a Cantarito makes the experience even better. A lovely restaurant with attentive, if somewhat over eager at times. The food did not match the expectation on our visit. The crab tacos were bland, the chicken breast with mole was so overcooked you could hardly cut it. The meat in juices (stew) was way too salty. Overall quite disappointing. Maybe we just chose badly since the cheese with tomatillo sauce appetiser was delicious. Not overly expensive, £40 for starters, mains and a couple of beers. Waiting staff tended to remove plates, or try to, before we'd finished, which seemed odd as the place was virtually empty. Can't really recommend but passable if your hungry.
The place is very calm and beautiful, they have air conditioning which complements well after a walk on the streets of Tequila on a sunny day.
we ordered puntas de arrachera, puntas de pollo and tortas ahogadas. i felt that the price to taste for puntas de arrachera and puntas de pollo wasn't justifiable. The taste wasn't bad but was neither extremely outstanding or any different from nay normal restaurant. Tortas ahogadas tasted too tomatoey ans it wasn't that good at all, I would not order it again.
something that really bothered me was how the waiters would occasionally come and peek at your table to check if anything was needed and that felt a little intrusive. It wasn't that busy and we could easily call someone if we needed something. The place is a bit pricey and the taste not that outstanding, hence the rating. But I did like the ambience a lot.
Posh dining area. Light air conditioning. Jumbo shrimps are very good, sauce slightly spicy and tangy. Tenderloin not as good, overcooked. Chicken breast too dry. Service is good, but will ask to tip for other staff/buddy as well who are supposed to be serving other tables.
Alejandro is a super sweet, caring and excellent waiter. Food was good. I loved the homemade bread and the cocktails. A bit pricy but beautiful location and surrounding.

Food is presented very beautifully. Although I would say that it’s pretty mid. Typical Mexican dishes, average taste. Wonderful atmosphere, waiters, attentive. I saw another post saying that the waiters were too attentive. I feel like it has to be with. Me Jikan culture, because really any restaurants you walk into. They’re very attentive. Overall would come back. Maybe try something different.

I had very high expectations for this place. It’s supposed to be the finest dining experience in the town of Tequila and the menu and the decor are excellent. The service was also supposedly good but after two times of my friend asking for his tacos without onions they kept bringing out the plate and he opened the tacos and there were onions. He was so frustrated he couldn’t even eat anything. They brought a bread to the table mid way through the meal and it had a hair on it. We sent it back.
The good part: I had a good and generous portion of seafood pasta and the guacamole was good but also came with onions inside and the manager only offered a dessert. We refused it and i didn’t leave a tip and we left upset and unsatisfied. The management should be a lot more present. They were absent.

Real Marinero Restaurant is a Mexican eatery known for its specialty in tequila shrimp. Situated just a block away from the Main Square and behind the Church of Santiago Apostol, it offers the traditional Birria de Jalisco and can accommodate up to 200 people. The restaurant also boasts a fine selection of cuts, a bar service, and weekend variety.
Solid restaurant near main square offering good drinks and food at reasonable prices. Shrimp dish I had was ok, not stellar not bad. Sauces were excellent. Service was with a smile.

Stay away. This place is terrible. We took a chance bc of the high review but we should have taken the bad ones seriously. The charge sooo much for bad food. We spent over 175$. For terrible food. The only meal out of 6 that was edible was the ribeye. The hamburger bun was wet and the burger was weird texture. The oysters made one of us so sick they threw up in the bathroom at the restaurant. The chorizo queso was microwaved and even after we sent it back they won’t take off the bill. The waitress gave herself a 15% she didn’t deserve we had no choice in that. The guacamole was not real. It was nasty like from a powder or something. One got the millansesa and it was tough and flavorless. No matter of you like the food or not they charge you and won’t remove it and not so much as a sorry.
BEWARE! Don’t go there. That’s probably why we were the only one in the restaurant.
I had quite a bit of tequila and then I got hungry, so I landed here. I also wanted more tequila.
My significant other and I walked inside and it seemed quiet. We were seated fairly fast. I was given a complimentary shrimp soup, which was interesting. I didn’t care for the taste of it. The complimentary Saladitas were decent.
We ordered a Coctelería Con Real Marinero for $70.00 and a Margarita for $70.00. The Coctelería Con Real Marinero was served in a glass. It was strong, but it tasted okay. The Margarita was alright. It wasn’t special to me.
We got the Órden de Guacamole. It was $70.00. We also got the Fajitas de Pollo for $170.00. The Guacamole was really good and so were the chips it came with. This was definitely worth the price. The Fajitas were cooked nicely and had a nice flavor overall. The whole plate was pretty good. I was given a de la Rosa Milkaramel Sabor Chocolate and a de la Rosa Sabor Vainilla towards the end of our visit. They were both sweet and tasty!
The service was good. Our server was friendly and prompt.
Overall, it was worth a try, but I probably won’t come back again.

The food is very delicious. Only downside was that we showed up during busy times and it was hot in there.
Pretty good food at a very affordable price
The word choice of waiters has room for improvement to make us feel more welcomed, they were quite busy, however words play a crucial role, and they sounded a bit rude. One waiter was smoking right at the door of the establishment, which I believe is a very poor choice, and bad taste.
typical Mexican Restaurant, tlrexommended to us as a good place for Seafood as its name implies, but do I,d my Camarones a la Diabla to be a little too common, but the Aztecs soup was awesome. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
The food and service were awesome, and the prices were good too.

Cold food and horrible slow customer service. We visited because it looked good on video, but lesson learned, hyped restaurants are not always good. I'm mexican, and I felt a bit discriminated here. We were practically the only table there, and they still took forever to bring our drinks and food. A family member canceled his order because all of us were already finished while his never made it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Bottom line, unprofessional host, waitress and mid food.
Great service, friendly, food is amazing I got the molcajete and it had so much flavor, the tortillas were so good nothing but great things definitely try this if you are in tequila it won’t disappoint.
Today was not the day to come. Service was not the greatest. Our tour said we would have Mariachi. No Mariachi in sight. We asked for food and drinks that didn't arrive. Food was not the best, the Torda Hogadas were good. But the rest was questionable, service was slow. Don't try the house tequila, you just finished going thru all these tours so they could give you a shot/copa of something we didn't like.

After walking around Tequila for a few hours we were ready for a break, so we stopped by Cholula right after they opened. We ordered drinks and decided on a light lunch, an order of guacamole and shrimp tacos. It turned out to be the perfect amount of food for us as the order of guacamole was pretty substantial. The tacos were good and we both were impressed with the guacamole.
The restaurant was a bit slow while we were there, so we had a very relaxing lunch. The interior was very festive and the chairs very comfortable. The service was great throughout our visit. The kind of restaurant experience we enjoy.

I went there four year ago and the food was good. I just went two weeks ago food is not eatables!!! I paid for the food but will never recommend. The waiter was so embarrassed with the food that he told me that they have no chef and that they indeed change the manure. Do not waste your money and time there. Example sopes were the size of 4 quarters put together super tiny and the thickness is like a tortilla. Portions are super small. I order there best meat and it was all burn fat in a small portions. My husband plate was not even chewable!! I paid because I was embarrassed to walk without paying. This is the first place I regret paying for the small pieces I eat. My husband had to go to another place to actually eat something. I wanted to vomit the food therefore I just did not have lunch for that day. The manager did not care he only told me a should be thankful for the good service BUt I went to eat!!!

This is a cute place with good ambiance and very good service.
Unfortunately, the food is about as bland as one can manage to make it, which is tough to do with such a naturally flavorful cuisine.
The tripitas are not golden, but burnt and desiccated. The torta bread is dry and doughy, while the torta filling could be just about any kind of meat. The chicharrón ribeye is the best of what we tried, and I think it’s terribly dry, even by chicharrón standards. The queso fundido is genuinely confusing. It tastes like they are serving us white Velveeta. The lemonade tastes like they put in half a bag of powdered sugar into my glass.
Lastly, the prices are rather outrageous for firmly bad to mediocre food.
Nevertheless, I think that the service and atmosphere is good enough that I can give this restaurant 3 stars.
The service was phenomenal! My husband and I drove in from Guadalajara for the day. The food was exquisite! Ask for their in house salsa, may not be on the menu. The staff was really attentive and can communicate in both English and Spanish. Chepe was such a great waiter. Was so polite and attentive to all our needs. Honestly try this place if you get the chance!
Definitely a must place to visit. I really like the place. It represents Mexican culture and mariachi. The food is good here. I ordered Enchiladas, Taquitos, some drinks and dessert. Everything taste so delicious and flavorful. The prices are on higher side but overall it is worth a visit.

While I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch meal here, aside from the ambiance and environment, I really didn't think this place was anything too special. The food was great, the quantities were fairly small for the price. However, I know it's likely higher quality food than your average.
The restaurant is impressive, but the offerings are somewhat meager. If you haven't been, it's definitely worthwhile to try.

La Cueva de Don Cenobio is a stunning restaurant located in Tequila, Mexico. It offers delicious food and a great dining experience. The place has beautiful grounds with historical significance, making it an authentic and hidden gem away from the touristy areas. The restaurant is situated inside Sauza house and provides excellent service in an open space surrounded by nature. Guests can enjoy tasty food, tequila drinks, and live mariachi music while taking in the amazing view.
This is a really good restaurant, they take reservations and they have really good dishes, the Birria had a strong flavour in the broth, you can ask for more hot broth ( temperature)
Special mention to their banana dessert definitely a high.
Staff is always there to help and address any questions, I recommend they get menus in English

One of the best meals we had in Tequila. Ordered salmon carpaccio, guacamole (it was amazing) and tuna tacos. Everything was delicious!
Very great place to come visit. The waiters were able to make vegan adjustments to the menus they were helpful. Please come visit this place. Make sure you call in advance to make reservations though.
Very good food, very good service, nice setting. Second time here. First time flauta was good, this time tortilla soup was pretty good, our chili, short ribs were good. It seems like one of the better / best restaurants in town.

The service was slow and the attitude of our waiters was as if they didn’t want to be there. We asked for guacamole and queso fundido as entradas and it took a long time, the waiter came to our table and with a negative attitude asked us if we were ready to order. We haven’t got our appetizers yet, I said. He left and he came back with our appetizers and took our orders. We got rib eye steak and carne en su jugo. The steak was ok. The carne en su jugo was very salty. The drinks were ok. It wasn’t what we had expected from that restaurant
It is a beautiful place. I wish the food flavor was better. The presentation is great but if the flavor is not there it takes away from experience. Tourist prices. I have had better flavor food in my hometown. It's a good experience to go on a tour. You do need more time to enjoy the establishment better. I could stay hours to enjoy the scenery.

This place is a Gem! We are from Las Vegas NV and we know great hospitality. All the staff members were friendly. The room we stayed in had a king sized bed, although the room we had was small in size it was luxurious. The restaurant serves great food, and it has views of a lush tranquil garden. Would totally stay here again!

Beautiful gardens and a lovely place to dine in the evening. Prices were very reasonable - much lower than we expected for a place like this. The service was excellent and the food was very good. We also really enjoyed the music - a mellow jazz was playing while we were there.

The staff and management are amazing and are on top of every detail. You are treated as if you are in your own home. This is a hidden jewel within the tranquil city of Tequila, Jalisco. I urge you to relax and take in every bit of this amazing property and pinch yourself to make sure you aren’t dreaming.

Went for dinner one night but I think we must have been the last table in. The food was good but we felt a little in the way. I would give it another go, as drinks during the day prior had excellent service
Tucked behind the Los Abolengos Grand Class hotel, this little gem has some of the best food in all of Tequila in a tranquil setting. The grounds of this place are beautiful. The complaint about service being slow is odd to me because the food here is delicious and it's all made to order, to me it did not seem slow and I ate here a few times, remember this is Tequila, Mexico one needs to slow down and enjoy the scenery.
Here's what I recommend:
The Sopes: 4 small sopes that are perfection, perfect as a meal or to share, start as an appetizer.
Queso Fundido with Rajas: Grilled Mexican Cheese a classic and they do it well here.
Grilled Vegetable Salad: A vegans dream minus the cheese. Calabacitas, tomatoes, peppers grilled on a bed of lettuce in an light olive oil dressing. It was delicious my friend who isn't really into salads enjoyed the dish
Tacos: HUGE tacos made the Mexican way, a must try. The order comes with 3 tacos also enough to share.
The Tortilla Soup. I have never had it served this way and let me tell you it's the best way; the dish is served with tortillas and chicharones, the waitress comes and pours the hot soup over the chicharones and tortillas that you'll hear it snap, crackle and pop. I am actually really impressed with this dish.
GUACAMOLE: a must.
The service isn't slow, it just takes time to cool good food. I highly recommend this place, it's immaculate, super clean and inspiring. I can't say the same thing about the hotel but this restaurant takes the cake.
I would come back here again. The only thing I would change is that the manager or whoever is in charge take business calls out of floor and into maybe an office and a little communication between the front desk, we were charged for what was suppose to be included in the price of our booking.But that's easy.

La Taberna del Cofrade is a unique underground bar and restaurant in Tequila, located 4.5 meters below ground with an ambiance reminiscent of the olden days when tequila production was clandestine due to its prohibition during the conquest era. The establishment offers a menu featuring the five states within the Tequila denomination of origin: Jalisco, Nayarit, Michoacan, Guanajuato, and Tamaulipas.
This is a very well and nice restaurant/resort place. It felt like you are in another world once you are here. Not just welcoming by the ducks, beautiful ponds and historical tree, the restaurant/brew inside is the real gem of this entire establishment.
The food is amazing and I could just get filled up by eating chips and salsa 😆 but of course you gotta save some room for the real food.
We had taco plate there with two different desserts (not shown here). And man, I love chewing on the agave because it just has such flavor and sweetness (that doesn't spike sugar level as regular sugar). If you get a chance to order this humble dish, you will be surprised!
You could just order desserts here and get full! And any desserts here are not too sweet and most of them are all made from agave!
This place is definitely a hidden gem awaiting to be known! I heard there's even a nice hiking trail around the area so this could be an weekend getaway kinda place!

We were staying at the hotel and had ended our complimentary tour when we decided to eat at the local restaurant for dinner. The space is very neat with multiple levels. The food was delicious. I would recommend to eat here especially if you are staying at the hotel.
We did not stop here to eat, we wanted to check it out as I've been hearing about it from other people.
Well the place is absolutely amazing!! The road is not very pleasant but when you got there is beautiful!

Get the Birria De Rez!! Super delicious and extremely tender meat. The salsa and chips they are start with are extremely fresh and tasty as well. Can’t go wrong with most of their food! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and amazing atmosphere!

The place is definitely unique. After an afternoon of equila tasting and walking through the Hacienda, this is the perfect spot to hide from the sun and enjoy a wonderful meal. Good music, clean restrooms and amazing service.

Fonda Chivo y Vaca is a three-story restaurant. It's small when you first walk in and ushered to the upper floors.
I ordered the large plate of chivo (goat) birria, and I humbly say that it was ok. The goat meat was tender, but it lacked something. I'm not sure what.
The large portion was a bit smaller than I thought it would be. Price wise, it's reasonably priced.
Best tacos in Tequila! Homemade tortillas. Tiny little place, so seating is close but so worth it.
Great and fast service from Julio and the crew, Spanish and English, amazing food and great atmosphere, remember there is 3 stories to the building so try get the roof if you can for great views.
This place was everything that I expected it to be when I first walked in. The place was nice and we sat at table on the 2nd floor (Great View Outside). We decided to have breakfast at Portales el Cielo on our last day in Tequila. It is located in the center of town. They had a nice seating area outside so we were able to enjoy the view with our breakfast. I ordered carne en su jugo with a cafe de olla. The coffee had a nice cinnamon flavor and the meal had a huge serving of everything. Another friend ordered the chilaquiles and they had a really nice flavor to them. They also have shops inside the building that go several stories up. The restaurant also has a cute chair to take pictures on to commemorate your visit.

I'm leaving 3 stars because of how poorly managed the place is, there were only 2 tables for the buffet and the lines were over 30 minutes long, as if I were in six flags.
My husband and I stopped here during a tequila tour. We ate from the buffet and had our full of some of the best food during our trip. Hand made tortillas. A variety of meats and ceviche and nopales. There was something for everyone. We hope to go back.

Fonda y Galeria La Damajuana is an excellent distillery located on the way to Tequila, Jalisco. The tour is reasonably priced and offers various tastings of tequila. Como siempre exprimimos los días a su máxima expresión y nos venimos muy contentos, con nuevas historias y cientos de fotografías, ya que es otra de mis aficiones, capturar momentos, paisajes, historias y revivirlas cuando sea necesario.
