Bar & grill
The Bootlegger Bar in Katoomba is a unique blend of a bar and smokehouse, offering a taste of the American South with its slow-cooked meats and classic cocktails. The ambiance exudes an old-time western barroom feel, complete with bentwood chairs and a penchant for whisky. The menu features mouthwatering options such as pulled pork, ribs, brisket, and burgers alongside vegetarian-friendly choices like mushroom burgers and vegan nachos.
Had the share plate and it did not disappoint! Great tasting brisket, pulled pork and chicken wings. The side of Mac & cheese paired perfectly along with the local beer on tap. Would recommend if you want a good feed!
James G — Google review
Ordered a bbq share platter and was utterly disappointed. This brisket had 0 smoke flavour and was so dry I had to take a drink between bites The shredded pork also had 0 smoke flavour, just tasted like sauced pork The chips had no salt And to top it off, we found a hair in the chips... Sadly I can not recommend the food here at all, but the alcohol is good
Lavert — Google review
My partner and I went to Bootleggers for dinner and had the meat share plate with two cocktails — everything was amazing! 😍 The chicken was honestly the best I’ve ever had — super crispy on the outside but still juicy and tender inside. It’s so hard to find places that cook chicken this perfectly! The pork slices were also juicy and full of flavour. My cocktail (I think it was called Liquid Smoke) had the perfect balance of sweet and smoky, so good! The staff were all really friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. I also loved the vibe of the place, especially The Secret Garden area — such a nice spot to chill and enjoy the food. Definitely a place worth checking out — I’ll 100% be coming back! 🙌

Staff were freakin amazing!!! This place absolutely rules I love love love it! We went on a five hour hike and stumbled upon this place, and boy what a find! We got brisket burgers and a hot apple spiced drink that was unreal. They let us put a shot in the drink and even took the alcohol over to let us sniff it first to choose which one to put in hahaha it was very wholesome!! 10/10 recommend. Our waiter was so cool, thanks guys!!
Lauren C — Google review
Went there on a sunday lunch time. The bartender is extremely friendly, welcoming all customers one by one. Their whisky selection was great but the burger was deliiiiiicious!

next stop on our Mountains weekend was The Bootlegger Bar. in Katoomba. across from the station. as we were in the later afternoon. we decided cocktails were in order. so we shuffled into the Bootlegger Bar. (we were early. so many thanks to Natalie who didnt need to show until 5.30pm. we used your table). explained our situation to Billy. (legend!). who we had guide us through which cocktail to get. and was not disappointed. (thats the cocktail in the smoky video. and Billys arm). feeling all tingly after the cocktail. we left for our dinner plans. to return the following day. I had the brisket burger. not the best I've ever had. but the pickled onions were on point. had a beer. was served by Billy again. and again. left after a few drinks for our dinner plans. to return again that evening. the place was heaving. loads of chatter. and we were lucky to get two seats at the bar. where once again young Billy sorted us out. after another cocktail. and a side of whisky. that was where night was called. thanks Bootlegger Bar (& Billy) for such a welcoming experience. loved it. will be back.
Glen S — Google review
The only reason I wanted to try this place out was because I had never had American-Style BBQ before and I don't want to buy a plane ticket to try it out. Service is very friendly. You'll have someone checking up on you often to make sure you're taken care of, but it might feel foreign at first. As for the food: - Be careful when visiting in cold weather because the place itself will be quite cold, so your food will get cold fast. - 1/2 kilo smoked chicken wings gets you 5 full wings with ranch, so take that as you will. - The corn bread is nice and moist, like a good cake. Can't go wrong. - Ribs are nice. Soft and tender with a nice sweet and savoury sauce. I wouldn't say it blew my mind, but I was happy with my choice. - Pulled pork and brisket was soft, but the meat itself was rather dry. I suppose that's why you have the BBQ sauce, but the sauce was a bit too tangy for my liking and just cooled down the meat even more. Personally, wouldn't recommend it. I can't speak for their steaks, but perhaps those would be better? If money is of no object and you want something new to try, I would say you could give this place a try. But if you only have enough time to eat at one place, I would just recommend the "Station bar and woodfire pizza" pub.
Vinny — Google review
We ordered the meat platter for two - we waited over half an hour for food, only to be brought cold “smoked” brisket, cold chips, and ice cold (fresh from the fridge?) gravy. I spoke with the staff, no apologies or discounts were offered. Severely disappointed.

Restaurant
Ates Blackheath is a renowned restaurant located in the Blue Mountains, previously known as Vulcans and Vesta. The establishment boasts a 150-year-old wood-fuelled oven that infuses Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavors into their dishes. Chef and co-owner Will Cowan-Lunn oversees the creation of delectable items such as heirloom zucchini with smoked eggplant and wood-roasted pork neck with honey-thyme peaches.
A Special and Memorable Dining Experience From the very first bite, our experience at Ates was something special. The standout for me was the scallops — perfectly cooked, tender, and full of natural flavour, paired beautifully with a bold and balanced Szechuan sauce. The duck was equally impressive, easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Rich, flavourful, and cooked to perfection with unique elements that elevated the dish. I also loved the delicately spiced ricotta cheese dish served with fruity Gibson Grove olive oil — simple, elegant, and delicious. I must also call out the wonderfully and friendly service, and I highly recommend Ates to anyone who appreciates elevated and distinctive flavours. A big thank you to the owners, chef, and staff for a wonderful meal!
Russell G — Google review
Cute little place in Blackheath, we chose the set menu with the duck as the main, every thing was pretty nice but wouldn't say it was anything extraordinary for the price. Also for a place with a name like Ates which means fire it was extremely cold inside not the kind of place that feels warm and comfortable to eat also the name is suggestive that there may be some Turkish options but there werent any maybe aside from a piece of bread. Also for that price I would much prefer red meat or even kangaroo something different but well done. The waiter was extremely delightful and the same with all the staff were lovely. Hope to come back if there's a nice fireplace or in summer and a different menu.

Spectacular. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch. They also gave us a nice little surprise for our anniversary with a free glass of champagne. We loved our entire evening and can't wait to go back and take our friends and family
Emily E — Google review
Hands down the best duck I’ve ever had. Was ready to lick the plate ! We got the tasting menu and it gave us a good selection of food from the menu - I was hoping that some of the more seafood based items would be in the tasting menu but we will be back to try them if we’re up here.
Amanda L — Google review
I really enjoyed my meal at Ateş. The ambience was gorgeous; warm, buzzing, inviting. The staff were great, they were attentive, fun and friendly. The food was really enjoyable too, our bread and ricotta was a highlight but everything was executed well. Whilst it was quite pricey, most great dinner spots are now anyway. I will definitely come back when I’m in the area again.
Mia C — Google review
Absolutely fantastic dining experience at Ates over the weekend. We were celebrating our anniversary and were welcomed with a glass of bubbly which was a lovely touch. Every dish was delicious and the service was really great too, super welcoming and helpful with dish suggestions. The atmosphere is also warm and relaxed. Would highly recommend dining at Ates if you get the opportunity.

Spectacular food! 🤤👌 everything we tried was made to perfection. Our deserts were so good we ate them before remembering to take photos and the orders seconds to do the same! Definitely worth dining at.
Nina F — Google review
I cannot fault this place, the flavours of the food were devine, loved every single dish we ordered we also had envy of the duck which seem to be on every other table but unfortunate we didn’t have space to fit such a large duck! But will def come back. Worth the drive from Sydney for sure!

Blaq Restaurant & Bar is a delightful culinary gem nestled within the charming Kyah Boutique Hotel in Blackheath, New South Wales. This stylish eatery embraces a hyper-local menu philosophy, showcasing fresh ingredients sourced from nearby gardens and local producers in the Greater Blue Mountains and Central Ranges. The ambiance is enhanced by its elegant design, featuring views of a magnificent century-old cherry tree that adds to the restaurant's unique charm.
the food was great, will be recommending to people and will be coming back. Kitchen staff, keep doing what you're doing. food came out fast enough and good portions and extremely delicious. however, the wait staff, I see the potential but I think management needs to send the newer staff to serving lessons or clearing table lessons. some of our table was cleared while there was still food on the plate and they come back asking if we're done with rest WHILE I had my fork on my potatoes to eat. I had to say no this time. There seemed to be a manager/supervisor who was dressed different to the wait staff, he needs to be doing more managing and less doing wait staff work so he can see the flow the floor. he just looked really anxious hovering over the tables and his staff which looks like made them anxious and made us anxious. This place is really nice, nice vibes, nice decor, I will still come back. I hope their newer wait staff can be more confident when serving.
Carmen V — Google review
We had a great night at BLAQ, nice food and drinks. It’s very popular so make sure to make a reservation. The place is beautiful too, modern and cozy lights. All the food was good but the brussel sprouts were a bit too salty. And one more comment I think it’d be good for the restaurant to work on their acoustics because it was quite noisy even though everyone was just chatting at normal levels.
Jasmijn T — Google review
The food was amazing! We were there on a Tuesday, so had the Blaq out menu which gave us a good chance to try all of the small dishes and we loved it. The only thing that let the experience down was the service. The servers were very nice and friendly when serving you, but lacked the attentiveness around the dining room. One girl was on her phone at the bar, which we found didn’t fit the vibe that the restaurant was trying to give off. We had also mentioned in our booking that we were celebrating a special occasion, but nothing was done to acknowledge this. We didn’t mind, but just thought it was a bit pointless to ask if it didn’t matter anyway. Would still recommend because the food is amazing!
Dionne — Google review
Our first time here and Blaq is worth the drive to Blackheath from Sydney. Attached to the Kyah Hotel, it was in a beautiful garden setting Food was elevated. Nice flavours and creative pairings for the ingredients. Service was excellent and the staff could answer our questions regarding the menu. The menu is designed to be shared. Which I love as you can then taste a few things. . We would have wanted to tr everything in the small plates but alas! next time. The tuna wonton , and hash brown were on point. It really is worth sharing so you can get the bigger plates as well. We had the fried chicken, the lamb rack and a fish with a side of Brussel sprouts. Banana cake for dessert.
Ingy D — Google review
BLAQ was a fantastic place to dine. The staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly, making the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming — never awkward for a moment. The atmosphere was vibrant and bustling, adding to the overall energy of the place. We ordered almost all the small dishes, and every single one was impressive. The standout was the beef cheek — perfectly prepared, tender, and rich, with a deep, flavourful consommé that tied everything together beautifully. The fried chicken was another highlight: two huge pieces fried and cooked to perfection, juicy and slightly pink inside in the best way. The curry and pickles served with it complemented the chicken perfectly. I would absolutely come back here every time I’m in the Blue Mountains. The food, service, and overall experience were that good.
Andre — Google review
One of the most beautiful spaces I have walked into in a long time. Incredibly designed and SO warm and welcoming. The architecture is brilliant. The menu is diverse and interesting - the standout was the tuna and the prawns from the starter menu - the cocktails were 10/10 and the service from the manager Jess was the best I have experienced anywhere. I honestly cannot wait to come back and spend more time at BLAQ and stay at Kyah the hotel attached.
Casey B — Google review
This is an excellent restaurant, which is difficult to fault. In fact the only issue I had was I wasn't big on the beer on tap.....and that, for most, can be a matter of personal choice. The menu was not huge, and I like that. It had, for me, the perfect selection of fish, meat and veggie options that made choosing easy with neither delay nor disappointment. We each chose a main and a selection of sides (3 between 4 of us, and in truth 2 would have been enough). The belly pork was superb; just melt in the mouth and I'm glad two of us selected that. I rather think that the veggie option pushed it hard - comprising pumpkin roasted and set upon a bed of aubergine puree. Even so, the chicken green curry was well-received and washed down with beers and wines, we had a highly amusing, boredering on the raucous) evening. We are sorry that you had to ask us to leave, but you even did that with tact and we appreciate that - honestly, we just lost track of the time while we were having such a lovely evening. Solid 5 stars from me.
Martin C — Google review
We had an amazing dinner at Blaq, from start to finish! Every dish was beautifully balanced, full of flavour, and perfectly presented ✨ We started with the Burrata (fig leaf oil, honey, macadamia & garlic shoot) — such a delicate and creamy combination — Hash Brown with leeks in white balsamic and chives, and the Mushroom Toast with mushroom XO and preserved truffle — rich and earthy perfection 🍄🤍 The highlight for me was the Snapper with rhubarb aguachile and radish, a fresh and vibrant recommendation from Will that I absolutely loved! 🐟💫 For mains, we shared the Fried Chicken (with Warrigal Green Curry), Chat Potatoes (with duck fat and Jerusalem artichokes), and the Brussels Sprouts — every bite full of depth and creativity. To finish, the Manchego and Plum Tart was the perfect ending — another great pick from Will! 🍷🍰 Thank you, Will -and thank you all the team- for your wonderful recommendations, knowledge, and friendly service — you truly made our night even better. P.S.: The music was on point — great tunes, perfect vibe for the evening! 🎶

Tempus Katoomba is a modern Australian restaurant located in a converted historic bank on the main street of Katoomba. The restaurant focuses on seasonality and sustainability, using local produce to create dishes that reflect the four distinct seasons of the Blue Mountains. They are committed to minimizing food waste by dehydrating, powdering, preserving, and pickling any excess food to create innovative and playful dishes.
Absolutely delicious food, nice ambience and exceptional service. We ordered the haloumi, duck, lamb and some sides, all cooked to perfection! Our waiter was very well versed on helping create a balanced sharing meal and i honestly wouldnt fault any if it. For a drink I would recommend the non-alcoholic watermelon and basil cocktail for a refreshing and slightly zingy pallete cleanser.
Backroom A — Google review
Nice and quiet place for dinner. Little bit cold for winter nights. The selection of the food was limiting the choice, we would order more, but the option didn't appeal to us. However, the services were massive and very generous, tender lamb, crispy double cooked potatoes and fresh salad. Services been great and helpful.
Sergey B — Google review
Somehow this kind of fusion food is very highly regarded in this town despite the quality/taste is average and price is high. We had the beef tongue skewer, duck breast, and Turkish dumplings and veggies. All dishes are very pricy. The beef tongue is overcooked/softened so it loses its tenderness. The duck breast tastes good but definitely is worth $60. The Turkish dumplings are good but nothing too exceptional if you compare it to any good chinese or Nepalese dumplings. Very good staff service and good wine selection.
Chun G — Google review
Highly recommend this restaurant for a lovely quiet lunch in Katoomba. The staff were friendly and attentive. They welcome children. The Ox tongue was phenomenal. Can't wait to go back!
Ashley T — Google review
“Tempus” started “allegro” but finished “lamentoso”. This is a local restaurant with an old world charm. Local beers and mocktails warmed the cockles and were a great way to settle in. We enjoyed the cosy atmosphere and the starters - the fennel and rabbit dishes were tasty. The duck main course was also very delicate and the roast potatoes were crunchy. We were really enjoying ourselves. And then came the most expensive item on the menu, the 30-day aged grass-fed steak. What a total disappointed - tough and chewy, like an old boot. Cooked medium - we like it medium-rare - we left half of it. When we complained to the waiter he brushed us off as ignorants. He confidently imparted that grass-fed beef is not the soft and melt-in-your mouth type you find in the cheaper, supermarket variety; where farmers finish the cattle off with grains to soften the meat. Tough and chewy is what real quality tastes like. Well, excuse us for our ignorance. Our local butchers in Sydney, Bologna and Treviso who also had grain-fed beef that was exquisite must have it all wrong. We’ll clearly need to go back and educate them. The cheesecake to round-off was ok. Such a shame - we were excited to dine and left deflated. Never mind, the audience left the hall before the final notes were played.

We had a incredible experience visiting Tempus. The food and the experience was amazing and the staff were really amazing! Recommend coming for dinner when you are in the Blue Mountain area!
Madelijn V — Google review
We came here for its good reviews and were not disappointed! Indeed all items we ordered are excellent. The only thing I can mention is that we asked for medium for the steak , but I would say it’s more considered as medium-well done. We should have asked for medium-rare. A bit dry but it’s still very delicious.

Open 4 days per week, this place is an intimate restaurant sharing home made wines and fresh food. Go with the Feed Me that way you taste everything. A must! The best dining experience of my year thus far! Incredible food - so fresh, inventive, yummy, hearty and delicious. Honestly couldn’t pick a favourite dish. So much love, care and creativity has been poured into the menu, so excited that it changes every week - I can’t wait to come back and try what’s next. Blown away by the current chef, Leila - what a powerhouse. And on top of this, such a beautiful venue and friendly service. Felt so at home and cared for. We will be back, with friends in tow. Can’t recommend this gem enough. If you’re in the mountains, you have to go!

OMG WOW 🤩 We had dinner here Saturday night for our 28th anniversary and the food was delicious and the service by the young canadian girl was very warm and welcoming. The olives to start were tasty and the iceberg Caesar salad was crunchy and the dressing was not overpowering like the ones at other places . We also had the gnocchi and the beef brisket as well and to finish we had the ginger cake . All dishes were wine matched perfectly from the lovely girl serving us. We had a great time here and EM the chef is very talented and works amazing in that little kitchen ❤️.

Station Bar & Woodfired Pizza is a contemporary bar located at the top of Katoomba's main street, right by the station. It has gained a reputation for serving some of the best woodfired pizza in the Blue Mountains. The menu offers creative toppings such as kangaroo, crocodile, smoked salmon, and Vegemite entree pizza. In addition to its culinary offerings, this establishment features live music on Friday and Saturday nights.
Stopped by Station Bar & Woodfired Pizza for lunch on a cold and windy day in Katoomba (around 3°C) — and it was just what I needed! The woodfired pizza was absolutely delicious, fresh out of the oven with that perfect smoky crust. Paired with a glass of warm red wine, it instantly warmed me up and hit the spot. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Cozy vibes, hearty food, and great service — a perfect lunch stop in the mountains. Highly recommended!
Wikar — Google review
The restaurant was so child-friendly and respectful of diverse tastes! Thank you to all the staff members for being so kind and cheerful (which is so important for an Asian customer). The pizza and beer, which you recommended, were absolutely delicious. It was the best, most enjoyable, and most comfortable dinner I've had since arriving in Australia.

Had dinner at Station Bar near Katoomba Station and it was a perfect way to wrap up the day. The salmon pizza was delicious — thin, crispy crust with just the right amount of smoky flavor from the wood fire, and the toppings were fresh and balanced. The local beer selection was impressive, and the one I tried paired perfectly with the pizza. Cozy interior, warm lighting, and friendly staff gave it that true Blue Mountains charm. Definitely a must-visit when in Katoomba.

Stopped in at Station Bar & Woodfired Pizza and wow, the pizza was amazing. I had the mulled wine and honestly… mwahhh 😋🤤👌🏽, absolutely delicious. The service was great too, really friendly and welcoming. We went around lunchtime on a Monday, so it was a little quiet, but that’s to be expected. Honestly, the food more than made up for it fresh, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
Imoan K — Google review
The vibe is super relaxed and easy going, the cocktails are delicious and the pizza is great. We had gluten free and normal bases and they were both super thin and the toppings were nice. They weren’t really ‘wood fired’ tasting or textured but we would still eat there again.
Sharon Y — Google review
Visited Station Bar & Woodfired Pizza in Katoomba and loved the cozy atmosphere right near the station. The woodfired pizzas were fresh, crispy, and full of flavour, especially the classic and spicy options. The smoked salmon pizza is the best The staff were friendly and the service stayed quick even during the busy evening period. Great spot in Katoomba when you want good pizza, drinks, and an easy place to relax after exploring the Blue Mountains.
Cyber G — Google review
Had their unique crocodile pizza and kangaroo pizza. Both were unexpectedly delicious! Crocodile meat tasted like chick breast, white, chewy and a bit dry. Kangaroo meat was a bit hard to chew, tasted like beef (?). We loved their thin and crispy pizza base! The sweetness of coconut combined with limes in the crocodile pizza was soooo good!

Delicious freshly made woodfire pizza! A good price and really good side too, can be shared by 2 people! We got the Wentworth falls pizza with Tiger prawns! Had so much flavour while not being pretty light and easy to eat! Also got a dark and stormy which was yum! The place is also really cool and has a very old-school vibe to it!

Nestled in a historic homestead, Pins on Lurline offers a contemporary dining experience with Australian influences. Chef Adam Shaw crafts seasonal menus using local produce, offering six or ten-course tasting options. The well-matched wine flight features selections from nearby regions like Orange and the Hunter Valley. This Katoomba favorite provides an upscale yet relaxed setting for indulging in fusion dishes that blend contemporary Australian flavors with Asian influences.
A must go restaurant at Katoomba if you are going to a special event such as an anniversary or birthday celebration. The service at the place is quite good. The restaurant provides 6 courses or 10 courses meal selection. The waiter or waitresses will provide an explanation on each course delivered to your front. The food delivered are great too. They are quite a class in turn of the plating and taste. Well, they take note of the dietary restrictions. The atmosphere at the restaurant gives a calm and nice feeling of celebrating the anniversary and enjoy fine dining experience. We have a good time at the restaurant.

The otherwise mainly stellar reviews for this restaurant are at stark contrast with my experience here, starting at 7.30pm on Friday 20/12/2024 (my birthday dinner). Off to a shaky start with the foaming canister not working as normal for the first course chef selection snack. An hour later at 8.30pm, the scallop entree arrives, it was ok though the "spicy mayo" was unremarkable and an unnecessary element to an otherwise fine dish. Then an hour passed by. There was only one other couple and a family of four seated alongside my husband and I in the dining room. We could tell the kitchen was having issues by the loud and purposeful clanging, possibly only staffed by one loud, belligerent individual who popped out intermittently (not in chef gear). Apologetic wait staff brought out the braised pork belly dish at 9.20pm, which was tough/chewy, again, with very unremarkable side elements (a stray piece of spring onion? A dollop of unseasoned pumpkin puree?). At 9.55pm the lamb dish arrives, overdone, and possibly plated by the wait staff (think plain and unseasoned quinoa with 3 whole grape cherry tomatoes plopped on). At this point, the other couple has already left as the prolonged waiting had agitated them. The 2 young adults in the family have been on their phones and bored out of their minds while their parents pace every now and then. At approximately 10.10pm, the dessert comes out, all I see is a fruit granita, waitress explained there was cheesecake under this (supposed to be a whipped set custard with buttermilk foam and fruit granita). When I ask where the custard is, she sheepishly says they've run out of custard. At this point, we are done and ready to leave. The profusely apologetic FOH waitress tried to appease us by offering to take the additional side of roast potatoes and our one drink, a ginger beer along with 25% off the total bill. This is a joke to me as not only have we been served substandard food all evening but their mismanagement of the service has robbed us of the opportunity to spend the evening elsewhere. Their utter disrespect of our time, knowing we were there to celebrate a special occasion, was the real frustration - if your kitchen is not capable of providing a proper dinner service, why is your management not stepping in to close down for the evening and communicate this to us, so we can make alternative plans? How dare you even try charge us for this joke of an experience? I ended up paying 50% reasoning that we had consumed 4 courses but upon reflection, I greatly regret this - we shouldn't have been charged a dime for this absolute crapper of a dinner service. I don't care if they otherwise provide a good service, your communication and management systems need a gigantic review and improvement to deserve the title of restaurant, let alone FINE DINING. A thorough disappointment on so many levels. To the restaurant: please, do yourselves a favour and spend time at other quality establishments in the area so you are aware of what the standard for acceptable food and service look like the rest of us.

Enchantingly wonderful. From the warm friendly attentive service, the absolutely delicious food (every mouthful delighting the palate) & the inviting and cosy ambiance we give 10/10. It was one of the highlights of our Blue Mountains getaway. Truly superb 👌 The chef and kitchen staff have to be up there with the best around the world!

Had an amazing experience here. A brilliant 10 course chefs tasting menu tweaked to suit our dietary requirements. Absolutely delicious. Lovely cocktails too - I highly recommend the Pins Eastside. Front of house Leon was a great host as was our server Misha (sorry if I have the spelling wrong). Hats off to the chef! A little gem hidden just outside of Katoomba town centre. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Highly recommend for a special night out.

This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem 💎 my husband & I went there for our 18th Wedding Anniversary. The service was exceptional & their food was no different 🥰 We ordered the Chefs 10 course meal with pairing wine. Each wine matched each course so beautifully bringing out all the flavours in each course & enhancing the taste. It has such a lovely cozy feel to the restaurant. I absolutely loved the music choices as well, it was such a great place & so very happy I stumbled across such a beautiful hidden gem😍 we will definitely go back their again & would recommend it to anyone in the area🤩

Impressive 6 course tasting menu for $110 on NYE with a great affordable $55 bottle of French grenache was an incredible deal. Very flavorful food, good prompt service and in and out in 2 hrs flat. Would def recommend.

Highly recommended! We got the 10 course degustation with matching wines. The food was delicious and the wine was well considered. Really excellent service was the cherry on the cake. We were lucky enough to have the entire restaurant to ourselves, adding to the magical nature of the evening. Really fantastic value. You must give it a go!

Pins on Lurline is an outstanding restaurant with creative and delicious dishes served with a warm smile. Every dish of the 10 course chefs menu was amazing, particularly the desserts. The Wintergarden Restaurant at Hydro Majestic Blue Mountains offers a refined high tea experience with picturesque views of the Megalong Valley. The historic hotel, perched on the escarpment at Medlow Bath, provides an iconic setting for this indulgent affair. Guests can savor three-tiered platters in an upscale ambiance while enjoying breathtaking vistas through floor-to-ceiling windows. The elegant atmosphere is complemented by the soothing sounds of a grand piano, creating a truly memorable experience.
Beautiful views over the valley – highly recommend booking a window seat in advance, especially if you’re coming all this way. We booked a month early for two people and were lucky to get a spacious 4-person window table. The restaurant is elegant and spacious, perfect for a relaxing high tea. There are a few high tea sets to choose from, and everything was tasty and well-presented. Great service, amazing setting – a lovely experience overall. Definitely worth a visit!

Amazing tasty food and amazing service! Veronica was so lovely and she went above and beyond for us! Thank you Veronica! The food was absolutely amazing! We’ll definitely go back. We did a wine pairing with our meal and we loved it. The only thing I felt was incomplete was the roast potatoes (the side dish). It was perfectly cooked and crispy, but I felt it needed something on its side like a sauce or sour cream. Other than that everything was perfect!

Had a most wonderful Saturday night dining experience here. Pre-dinner cocktail at sunset by the window looking out over the Megalong Valley, and three superb courses of high quality food. Our waitress was a trainee, who did a brilliant job. The price point is high, but the ambience, view, and food quality match that, so no complaints here. Recommnded.

I visited the Hydro Majestic for the Winter Garden High Tea and chose the Western option. The food looked beautiful and most of it tasted lovely. The only thing I did not enjoy was the sausage roll. It felt a bit out of place for a high tea at the Hydro, and I would have preferred something like a quiche or a more delicate pastry. The flavour of the sausage roll was also quite plain, so it did not add much to the experience. The finger sandwiches were fresh and full of flavour. I did notice that the edges of the bread were starting to dry out, which made me think the plates had been prepared earlier, but everything still tasted very good. Service was excellent. The staff were warm, attentive, and offered to pack up what I could not finish without me even asking, which I really appreciated. Everyone I dealt with was friendly. Having high tea at The Wintergarden Restaurant was quite a special experience and was a good place for a special celebration. Even if it was raining a fair bit and was foggy when we went there. Whilst most of the time it was foggy with the constant rainfall, there was a brief moment the fog cleared up, and indeed, the view was spectacular. It was still beautiful in its own mystical ways. Also, the decor for the restaurant was beautiful and truly added to the ambience. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and loved the colonial era decor, which added to the beauty of the ambience. We chose the standard high tea set with one of us choosing a cup of coffee and another, a pot of green tea. The food was delightful and a good portion as well. They were beautifully arranged and were such a pleasure to have in such a beautiful setting & by the window. The fruit scone is truly memorable. The tea was unfortunately quite ordinary. To quite a large extent, wishing they had fine chinaware that some high tea places would have, including a wider range of tea selection. This, I believe, would have added to the experience. The service would have been a 5 star rating with how attentive and courteous Matias was, including Brad, who was also really friendly. Unfortunately, I can't say the same was experienced with Kona (I think that was how his name was spelt). One of the drink orders was coffee. It wasn't warm when it was brought over. We didn't realise until the food arrived and took a sip to realise it was already cold. When requested to change to a new hotter cup of coffee, Sakura obliged, but when Kona brought the fresh cup of coffee, he made a passing remark that the cup of coffee should be drunk while it was hot. It was rather rude given the food had only arrived and quite rarely would coffee be taken on an empty stomach by either of us. That passing remark did dampen the experience that even a very foggy day with not being able to see much of Megalong Valley did not. Also another minor observation. The vase on our table was quite badly chipped and we noticed a few other tables too has chipped vases. I would recommend the restaurant to inspect and change out the chipped ones. Despite that brush of unexpected service, this is a venue is still worth checking out with a strong possible return when it is not foggy.

The dinner at the Wintergarden restaurant was delicious and well presented. Our table of 4 agreed that the dinner was great. We were disappointed with the High Tea the following day as it was not as we expected and quite expensive. The traditional Wintergarden High Tea was better quality (sandwiches cakes and scones) and seemed fresher.
Rowena E — Google review
Have been here a while ago and decided to have high tea whilst in town. The booking process was straight forward. The lobby looked amazing and the room had that grand luxury feeling. It also had a great view if you get the window seats. We preferred an Eastern and Western high tea, both around $80-$85. Eastern high tea….review - Pork Bao buns appear to have been stuck together so didn’t look great. - Dumplings had excess along but tasted ok - BBQ buns weren’t cooked properly - desserts were ok, had a lot of cream and was overly sweet Western high tea…. Review - sandwiches were a little dry - best thing here was the sausage roll - scones were amazing, falls apart - dessert , not quite sure, some combinations didn’t go well together Overall, I think they should stick to what they do best and make the current western high tea better. Quite disappointed considering I was about to bring some family friends over here in couple of weeks

A wonderful afternoon spent with delicious food and the most beautiful view. As a vegan, I was sceptical of the selection I would be served, but each tier of food was wonderfully crafted with a great selection of textures and flavours. Basil Nut Cafe & Restaurant in Katoomba offers a casual dining experience with a variety of South Asian street food, international dishes, and coffee. The restaurant is known for its vegetarian-friendly menu and provides a compact yet comfortable setting for visitors.
It was our first time dining at Basil Nut Cafe & Restaurant. We absolutely loved it. The restaurant has such a cosy and welcoming atmosphere—it genuinely felt like enjoying a home-cooked meal in someone’s beautifully set-up living room. The food was fantastic, with every dish full of flavour and care. The standout for us was definitely the eggplant duck curry—rich, comforting, and perfectly cooked. The staff were also friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back for another visit soon!

Authentic Thai food! One of the best in Blue mountains. Had the soft shell crab for starter with coconut and duck w/ eggplant curry as mains. Must recommend this.

Best THAI FOOD I have had in Australia, beats some meals in Bangkok too! My family had such an amazing dinner here, we had to come back few days later for lunch. We really recommend the Chilli Barrumundi, fried to perfection, soft in the middle with a sweet tangy sauce… Every dish has such ‘wok hey’ and delicious seasoning, we can’t recommend this place enough. There’s something seriously wrong with other reviews that didn’t give 5 stars. It’s a quaint family style diner that’s right up our alley. Perfect for a small group! Most importantly it’s HALAL!

Basil Nut is (in my opinion) the best and most popular Asian restaurant in the blue mountains. The food here was outstanding as always, delicious fried rice, soup, stir fries. We did get our foods at different times, but it doesn't matter too much. Overall, brilliant restaurant definetely recommend

if you’re looking for something good, you’re in the right place. we were just walking around around lunchtime and noticed a lot of people outside, so we got curious about what this thai cafe had to offer. we ended up coming back for dinner, and honestly, it did not disappoint. my brother can be a bit picky with food (we’re asian too), but this really hit the spot. the food was excellent, and the service was great. we’ll definitely be coming back.
Jeskasventures — Google review
We went to Basil Nut for lunch after finishing the Grand Canyon walk and the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was fresh and full of flavour and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I also tried the Vietnamese cold coffee which was okay but not as impressive as the food. The inside of the restaurant felt a bit too cramped so we decided to sit outside. Unfortunately, the table we got was right near the door and every time it opened a burst of cold wind came through. The floor outside was also a little uneven so the table was slightly inclined which made it less comfortable. It was the only table available at the time so we had to make do. On the positive side, the food really was outstanding, the payment process was quick and easy, and there is some parking available on the main road. We were lucky to find a spot. Overall this is a place I would return to for the food, even though the outdoor seating could be improved.

Fantastic spot for authentic Thai cuisine! The food is absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who make the dining experience even better. The location is also perfect, adding to the overall charm of the place. The only downside is that it’s a bit on the pricey side, but considering the portion sizes and quality, it’s understandable. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving great Thai food!

Cinnabar Kitchen is a dining spot located in Blackheath, NSW, offering a diverse culinary experience. The restaurant is the brainchild of Corinne Evatt and Mary-Jane Craig, who have curated a menu inspired by their global food journey. Diners can embark on a gastronomic adventure with dishes influenced by various cuisines such as Thai, Jamaican, Moroccan, and Ethiopian.
Outstanding food and brilliant concept. We thoroughly enjoyed all our 'round the world' dishes but standouts for me were the spinach and ricotta dumplings, the king prawn tempura, and the scallop tartare. The elderflower martini was delicious and so was the local wine. Highly recommend and can't wait to return.
Rebekah S — Google review
The food is incredible! If you’re looking to treat yourself, make sure you book your table at Cinnabar! The sizzling prawns are a must (maybe even 2 dishes), the mains are all amazing especially the chicken, and the drinks cater to a variety of tastes. We’ve got a mix of dietary restrictions in our groups and the chef has no issues catering to gluten and dairy free and still providing an amazing quality and filling meal. As with every small business in NSW right now, there’s shortages in staff and training, so if you’ve got a new server please show them patience and grace. The owner and head chef are consistently amazing! This isn’t a meal you’ll want to rush through, so leave the kids behind and head out for a lovely night! I love the Bilpin Blush mocktail, the prawns and the chicken.

You must try this place. 100% recommend to anyone in the Blue Mountains area. Very nice warm atmosphere inside. Mary-Jane Craig was serving and she is an excellent host. She gave explanations for the dishes we ordered and helped us with choosing from the menu. All items are share plates ranging from main size to small appetizers and sides. We had 2 salads, a broth shot, the fish curry as the main and quinoa as the side. Then we had to fit in dessert. All the food was delicious. I'm not a fan of olives but enjoyed them in the caprese salad as their flavour blended in so well with the other ingredients. Spent about 130$ each including drinks for 2 people and was well worth it. We were there for about 2.5 hours all up. Everything entered the "clean plate club". Looking forward to our next fantastic dining experience at Cinnabar.

Pricey? Yes. Worth it? YES!!! Extremely lovely setting, and with a manager who is passionate about her food and craft. You can feel it from the moment you enter. Every single dish we ordered was delightful, and invigorating, well cooked, well seasoned, well spiced. If I were to review every item I’d run out of space, so I’ll just say - go try it, it’s worth it, book in advance!

Nice little restaurant. Menu is compact yet has a good selection of flavours. All share plates, suggest they highlight in the menu what are considered small share plates as in starters and what are larger share plates (mains). Well cooked and tasty. I would prefer to have given 4.5 star as it's not quite 5 star. So ultimately they get a 4 rating. Interesting beer selection in particular the Belgium beers. The flavours are what I would consider very high end home cooking. The duck mouse was over set, as in a little too much pectin or what ever seting agent they use. The beef cheeks could use a swig of red wine. The beetroot salad was great. The scallops very tasty. Everything but for the beef cheeks was a little under seasoned. Very solid, although a little over priced. Perhaps 15% so.
Robert L — Google review
Firstly let me just say the service was 5/5. Very attentive and friendly. The food was quite tasty and I enjoy the share plate style of eating. It’s aiming for fine dining but its a little on the steep side especially with alcohol thrown in. I also wish there was more vegan/vegetarian options.

An unassuming little restaurant on the Great Western Highway running through Blackheath. The food had an international flair and was an absolute flavour bomb. Service was attentive and friendly with great advice on share plate combinations. Highly recommend including as part of a Blue Mountains experience.
Anthony H — Google review
The service was as bad as the food was good. Seriously, the lamb cheeks were falling apart soft, the sides were perfectly seasoned and spiced. It was all delicious. Unfortunate we had to order our drinks 3 times, and they got it wrong. The guy who took our food order told us we were wrong for not ordering a starter. TOLD US WE WERE WRONG.... Have to circle back, food was delicious.

Bowery is a charming and unique dining spot located in a converted church, offering an atmospheric and vibrant setting for visitors. The spacious dining area features stunning decor with interesting artworks and collectibles, creating a captivating ambiance. The modern menu emphasizes sharing dishes and includes a variety of options, with a focus on vegetarian fare such as the fabulous cauliflower dish. Guests can enjoy their meals indoors or dine al fresco in the leafy courtyard, which is also dog-friendly.
“Lamb shank is our 2nd most popular dish, after the Nasi Goreng - who would have ever thought - we put it on the menu for a joke”! So quipped our hilarious waiter, wearing board shorts and a Hawaiian shirt, while outside it was puffer jackets and woolly hats! In some ways, it summed up our evening. Excellent food, a genuine and personable service, and a warm and homely atmosphere in the renovated church. The lighting, furniture and ambience left you with a warm glow. The lamb shank was amazing by the way - the best I’ve ever eaten? Most likely. You’ll enjoy the lovely menu, friendly service and a few nice drinks. We’ll be back. A rustic looking restaurant with modern Western style menu items. The staff is friendly and accommodating to our big group of 10 people. Recommend to book in advance, especially during weekend as we entered 10 mins before they open and there were already a queue at the front door. We’ve got to try most of the items from their regular and seasonal specials as well. Most dishes were delicious and well presented with generous portions. Coffee is just average. I really like the little details that they have as a decoration piece, such as a meat cutter, bicycle, traditional bell, etc. It came to a total of $450ish for a group of ten (including drinks and coffee) and we were pleasantly happy with the experience.

Sydney trip - Blue Mountains over the weekend: after some hiking, we went for lunch in Leura at @leuragarage. . The food was pretty decent. But the service was super slow. We waited more than 45 minutes for our food from the time of ordering. The table next to us actually just got up and left because their food took too long as well. Also, we noted some tables who ordered after us actually got their food before us 🤷🤷. . Southern Style Chicken Burger: the burger was pretty nice. The chicken was crispy, and the inside was tender. Good flavours. The cole slaw that came with it was a bit bland though. . Pan-seared Barramundi, with walnut jalapeño crust, caramelised pumpkin wedge, tahini lemon dressing: excellent dish! Very tender. Delicious crust 🤤. . Polenta chips: this was superb! Very crunchy 😋. . Broccolini: nicely done. Can't go wrong with this side dish.

Both the cocktails we had were well made and I'd highly recommend treating yourself.

Reservations recommended, even with a 10% weekend surcharge this place gets busy. I love the ice coffee and so did everyone else on my table - everyone drank theirs differently. The shaksuka was a little too watery but the rate was fine - perhaps extra bread would have worked well. We all agreed the stuffed mushrooms with cornbread and baked egg was the best dish.

Spent our Sunday at the mountains and after a long hike we decided to go to Katoomba for dinner. Not gonna lie, this was not our first option, but after realising at 3 other places that kitchens seem to close at 8 pm or earlier and it was 8:15 pm we decided to give Papadino’s a go. Ate dinner here and it was simply amazing, I really wish I could give them more stars! Quiet or busy, their attitude was lovely and everyone was welcomed from the second they walked in the door. I chose them for their gluten free options, and as soon as I mentioned gluten free I was asked if I was coeliac (which I’m not, but am gluten intolerant). They make their gluten free dough for the pizzas on site, so you can actually choose the size of your pizza!! As I’m not coeliac I didn’t enquire about cross contamination measures, but I did hear the girl taking orders loudly shout out ‘coeliac on table 6’ for someone else who was dining there, and she also told me her sister is coeliac so she is fully aware of all requirements. I have a coeliac sister and niece myself and would have no hesitation in taking them to this wonderful restaurant!! I only wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often!

The antipasto platter at your restaurant was a perfect start to our meal, with an excellent selection of meats, cheeses, and vegetables. The pumpkin soup was incredibly flavorful and comforting, and the perfect dish for a chilly evening. Your saltimbocca was simply divine - the tender veal, prosciutto, and sage melded together beautifully to create a truly memorable dish. The Macho Supreme Pizza was the highlight of our meal - the crust was crispy and delicious, and the toppings were plentiful and perfectly balanced. Overall, your Italian restaurant truly exceeded our expectations with its exceptional food and warm, welcoming atmosphere. We can't wait to come back!

We really enjoyed our time at Papadino’s this evening. Food is prepared to-order with quality ingredients and it’s cooked beautifully. It’s a very inclusive menu with lots of vego & vegan options & their new vegan cheese is really good. Food prices are aligned with the food quality & the generous serve sizes. Staff are awesome, friendly & genuine. We felt well taken care of. Overall the whole experience felt really authentic & we had a great time. Thank you!!

Came here on an unplanned trip to the Blue mountains and the family agreed on Italian food with Papadinos coming in recommended by a few locals we spoke to. From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent by the young ladies at the counter. They were great with the kids and gave them some pizza dough, plastic matts and rolling pins to keep the kids entertained while we waited for our food. Nice and warm inside with the heaters turned on and the pizza oven cranking. The smell from the kitchen was amazing. The pasta we ordered was on point, the margarita pizza spent a little too long in the oven and came out slightly burnt which the kids did not enjoy, but the young lady looking after a table happily took it away and at our request changed it for another serving of pasta. All in all we had a great experience and will definately be back!

Very disappointing. Garlic prawns was absolutely disgusting. In that small bowl. At least 3 table spoons of thick garlic. I spoke with the lady and she said she will let the kitchen know and get back to me. Nothing, no reply at all. Pizza base and crust was very hard. Schnitzel was over cooked. Steak was ok but very bland. The chicken crepe was ok. We spent just under $250. Definitely not worth it. Waitresses were unprofessional. I only rated it a 1 star only because I had to give some sort of rating. I would not eat here again.

Nestled on Leura's main street, Red Door Cafe is a beloved spot known for its emphasis on healthy dining. The cafe offers organic coffees, freshly squeezed juices, and a menu featuring zucchini and feta fritters with cumin yogurt, smoked rainbow trout with rocket and lentil salad, topped with a poached egg. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it an inviting place to enjoy everything from light breakfasts to hearty meals.
Delicious food, and menu has a great variety made with fresh produce. The chicken and leek pie was tasty and comforting to eat. Mash was a little dry but great they served with a side salad. Would come again.

Cosy little place on the main street of Leura Village. The initial visuals bely what waits inside. Food is excellent, with a wide selection, and great serving sizes. Lots of seating, but as it's very popular, bookings would be a wise idea. Great atmosphere, with good background music, and a buzzy vibe from the staff and kitchen. Parking nearby is also difficult, but the walk is worthwhile.

Place is easy to find, difficult to get parking. Booking recommended. The cafe is small with lots of seating inside which makes it feel very crowded. The outside part looked much nicer and inviting. Menu was small but had lots of variety. Staff were friendly but not overly welcoming. Food was average, prices were decent considering the quality. Drinks were nice and came out within 10 mintues of ordering. Would recommend

Love going to cafes like this. bustling. busy. a bit noisy from all the chatter. a bit of clang from the kitchen. a very satisfying atmosphere. especially on a weekend away from home. food was pretty good for the pace at which everything came out. (not a complaint at all). only thing for me. there was tonnes. of chili on the avocado toast. and I'm really picking at scabs here. but would have prefered on side. but the hommus was all-time. the omelete looked good. (side note. saw the porridge. and never thought I would have food envy from porridge. but here we are). coffee on par. thanks for having us Red Door.

Had a fantastic experience at Red Door Café! The food was amazing, coffee spot on, and the service was superb. Huge shoutout to Fiona not sure how she managed to look after everyone all on her own, but she was so attentive and welcoming. Honestly, it was amazing to see. I had my eye on the sticky date pudding, but it felt a little too early in the morning for all that sugar 😉. Can’t wait to come back and try it next time!

Avalon Restaurant & Cocktail Bar is a vintage and unique eatery located in the historic Savoy picture theatre in Katoomba. The restaurant offers a playful art-deco charm with retro decor and stunning mountain views. It hosts four different entertainment nights, including the Supper Club featuring local acts and a delectable menu, and the Rhythm Lounge with unique cocktails and all-vinyl DJ sets from the '60s and '70s.
First time here last night and was not disappointed! The food and ambiance was on point. Vintage, warm and enjoyable. We had the pani puri, homemade hummus, cauliflower main and salmon which all so yummy! Didn’t have room for dessert! Cocktail is Garden of Avalon/ fruity and delicious! Will definitely return thank you for everything!

The food was sensational. A variety of options for dietary needs was welcome. The ambience was very nostalgic and the use of the old building is great. The salmon and the Camembert (I had gluten free bread) are definitely worth going for alone! Oh, and the dessert cocktails were great too!

Found plastic in my food. I came here thinking it was going to be good as it is highly rated but i also didn’t have too many high expectations coming from Sydney and having been to many amazing restaurants. As i was chewing the zucchini flowers I bit into a big piece of plastic (not sure what it was) but i could get sick if i just rushed and ate the food. I’ve informed the waiter and was given a complimentary drink (the waiter is nice so nothing negative towards the waiter) After finding plastic in my food i asked my husband to cancel the booking for the following day. The portions here are good however the taste and flavours were very bland. I had the potato rosti (ordered large as a main) which they claimed was vg = vegan but it had dairy/cheese when i tasted it. Luckily i’m not vegan but they shouldn’t claim it’s vegan if dairy was used. I couldn’t finish the food and they gave a raw lettuce/rough chop raw tomato in a bowl on the side which reminds me of simple takeaway restaurants. My husband had the steak and he didn’t like it and said there was no flavour, tough and the potatoes were old/bland, I had a bite of the potato and it tasted like reheated leftovers. For this type of quality / lack of flavours they shouldn’t be charging this much. Really grateful we skipped dessert and cancelled our booking for the next day.

After walking for six hours in the freezing cold and wind in the Blue Mountains, Avalon was a welcome respite. The fireplace, soft lanterns, and comforting lighting made it feel warm and cosy. We were glad we had booked as the restaurant filled up quickly. We started with cups of tea served in vintage floral teacups, a lovely touch. The menu had a bit of everything, but we both chose the bacon-wrapped slow-cooked lamb shoulder with mashed potato, roast tomato, peas, snow peas, kale, and red wine jus. The portions were very generous. The lamb was cooked perfectly—so tender it didn’t even need a knife. It was exactly the hearty meal we needed after a long day of walking. Dessert was incredible. We had the chocolate truffle cake, which was basically a warm, fudgy brownie with rich chocolate sauce. The baked licorice cheesecake was fantastic—never had anything like it before. It was creamy, a huge slice, and served with fresh sliced strawberries. I wish I could eat this every day; I’ll be thinking about it for months to come. Really loved this experience, a perfect ending to our day in the Blue Mountains.

A beautiful local restaurant. Serve local food and wines. Excellent service. We had duck confit and lamb. Both dishes were beautifully presented, with fresh and tasty greens and sides. Our only complaint in both dishes was that the meat was a bit dry (but very flavorful)
Shulamit R — Google review
This was one fine dining experience down memory lane in a fairly eclectic setting. Excellent dishes beautifully presented, friendly and helpful staff all immaculately dressed, and just a setting and décor one could not find anywhere else. We were a family of three including a 10-year-old who really enjoyed her experience. So much so she even took the extra step to express her rating on the table paper – evidence attached. We had no alcohol but at $140 for three people include entre and mains we found Avalon excellent value for money.
Koorosh R — Google review
Had a wonderful evening last weekend to celebrate a special occasion. Have been to Avalon many times now and enjoyed ourselves enormously each time. The service was excellent and the food flavoursome and presented beautifully. Had the Rosti potato entree and it was tasty and seasoned well. The salmon with wattleseed crust was awesome. Shared the classic menu banana caramel tart and the pastry was light and cooked well. The jazz Jean Marshall trio added to the atmosphere with great song choices both old and new. Loved the Amy Winehouse back to black song. The quirky decor, lighting and eclectic table crockery added to the ambience and we will be back.

Just a short drive from Blackheath, this charming spot offers both a cozy indoor dining area with a warm fireplace and an inviting outdoor space where you can enjoy your meal while watching sheep graze nearby.
Beautiful, cozy and a great escape to a slow paced area of the blue mountains!! We loved coming here so much, heaps of parking, lots of tables and great food! The scones were huge and were so delicious. Loved the apple pie as well. The views outside were so lovely and so good to sit outside.

Went there with friends. Great Cafe with amazing views and lovely staff. We tried baked eggs and Megalong Valley breakfast. Baked eggs were delicious and Megalong Valley breakfast looked okay. We also tried coffees and scones. Coffees were great and scones were fresh. Overall a great experience. It's definitely worth a visit and will go back again soon.

Stunning location, excellent food and service, you couldn’t ask for more. My beloved had the apple pie and gave it 2 thumbs up. We had the scones, nice and light and the perfect size. Special mention for the blackberry jam, not too sweet and the fruit flavour shine through, it’s a little thing but shows the love and attention to detail in the food here.

The food is cooked perfectly and the servings are quite generous. I ordered the salmon medium rare and was very satisfied. Hidden Gem! We've been to Leura hundreds of times, but only discovered Madam Wang's after a google search for "great places to eat in Leura"! A very quirky, intimate little venue for lunch or dinner with fantastic food and service. Variations to the menu were requested and provided in a friendly and professional manner - not that there's much you would change (I just wanted a low carb option to my salmon meal). We had a couple of shared entrees (Salt n Pepper Squid & Spring Rolls), mains (2x Salmon, Satay Chicken and Duck) and desserts ("You only live twice" Lime Cheesecake, Chistmas Pudding in brandy sauce (yes!), Strawberry Caramel Tart and the Strawberry Summer Palace - all mouthwatering! Four very happy people!

It was such a wonderful experience that we’ve had. The atmosphere was so friendly and cozy. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Incredible! I’ve been wanting to visit for some years, and finally did so last night. The team at Madame Wang’s easily surpassed my high expectations - all food was delicious, outstanding. In particular I was not expecting to find one of the best Schnitzel dishes I’ve had anywhere - amazing. The team were also accommodating with our 2 year old, who helped us finish our meals. Service was fantastic, atmosphere was special. I am looking forward to revisiting and bringing friends and family.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience, look no further than Three Sisters BBQ Chinese Restaurant. This charming eatery has been a beloved spot for over two decades, known for its generous portions and authentic flavors. The menu is packed with mouthwatering options, but many regulars rave about the laksa—a spicy noodle soup that never disappoints. Diners can also enjoy crispy spring rolls and tender sizzling steak cooked to perfection.

This is a typical Australian Cantonese-style restaurant. The portions were large and fairly priced, but I found it challenging to comment on the taste. The honey chicken had a slightly burnt flavor, and the combination noodles lacked taste. Moreover, the tea was only warm, not hot, and seemed to be of poor quality, with small pieces ending up in my mouth. It felt like the most low-quality tea, possibly the cheapest available in China, being sold in Australia due to people's lack of awareness here. I didn't find this to be very considerate. The only good dish was the omelette. I was also disappointed when I ordered the combination noodles and specifically confirmed that they could be stir-fried in a wok, but later, they told me that this style wasn't possible. Overall, I don't think I will visit this restaurant ever again.

Good authentic chinese dishes. Great service also. Prices were reasonable We thoroughly enjoyed all our dishes including mapo tofu, si ji dou stir fry, sizzling beef, and sweet and sour pork. While we had our dinner at the restaurant, I noticed many customers call and pick up their order takeaway, so that's really convenient

Victory Cafe is a charming spot located in the heart of Blackheath, housed within the historic Victory Theatre. The cafe offers a delightful dining experience with its seasonal brunch dishes served in a relaxed atmosphere. The high ceilings and street tables add to the appeal of this 1915 space. Additionally, Victory Cafe perfectly complements the vibrant local scene by being situated inside the largest antiques store west of Sydney, featuring over 50 dealers.
If you decide to visit Blue Mountain, make sure you do not miss Blackhealth. It was just a couple of stations. The area is quiet and chilling. I discovered this cafe on my way walking around town. By the time it hits lunch time, this cafe is gonna pack with people so you better hurry. They serve breakfast menu all day long so I can freely have “a big breakfast” at 2PM. The staff is friendly and helpful. I wish they would have photos of the food so it’s easier to imagine how much food you gonna get in one plate. Overall the food was nice. I enjoyed both coffee and food.

A great spot for Breakfast, Lunch or Brunch - or even a hot drink on a cold morning. The staff have been incredibly helpful and polite on each and every visit and the food has always been a drawcard with locals. We sometimes stop by the Victory Cafe when pondering a purchase at either the Antique Store or the nearby Collier's Crystals store. PROS: * Great, flavorsome food. * Polite and helpful staff. * Nearby bathrooms, both outside & inside. * An all-day Breakfast & Lunch Menu (from memory). * Acceptably priced menu items. CONS: * The odd rickety table. OTHER: * The potato fries, which are a part of several of the dishes (see pics) - have been literally inedible on several occasions. Locals have also noted the same. (I've worked in hospitality and this one is still a mystery to us). **Perhaps this issue has since been resolved?

I ordered the chickpea pancakes - I’d had them three weeks previously and really enjoyed them, they were thick and it was filling. But today there was just one pancake and it was very thin with lots of gaps and holes, almost like they were running out of batter and trying to make it stretch. It was tasty but a very different and less substantial dish than before and I’d expect more for $24. When I asked a member of staff about the inconsistency he just said different chefs do things differently and was quite dismissive, then proceeded to slap a 10 per cent surcharge on the bill even though it was obvious I wasn’t happy. It’s a shame as it was a great experience before!

Friendly staff and a lovely warm atmosphere. Service was fast and food & coffee delicious. Love the sustainable choice of having jars of sugar on the table instead of the little packets that are given at most cafes. Music classics from the 70s/80s playing in the background made a great vibe. Excited to come again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely delicious as always! This restaurant is a hidden gem and an institution in the Blue Mountains! It's a must visit when heading to the area. From the moment you walk in you are welcomed with warm hospitality and inviting aromas. The food is simply incredible — rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The chicken Makhani is a staple dish and highly recommend, palak paneer is also a must order! ( Best authentic indian ive been too). Service is always outstanding, Raz and Milind are amazing people and always looked after us and the family for 20+ years. The ambiance is cozy yet elegant, with just the right mix of modern and traditional decor. Portions are generous, prices very reasonable, and the entire experience always leaves us eager to come back. Highly recommend this place to anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine done right! Go in the early evening during the summer months to enjoy the view.

Came here for my 57th Birthday dinner from Bundaberg, Qld and was not dissapointed. Amazing authentic food created with love. Samosa were a flavour explosion !! And then there is the view !! Fabulous

Ignore the average rating of this place and come anyway. As a local who has loved Arjuna's and frequented it for 20 years (and knows many other locals who do as well), I think the random 1 star ratings are driving the average way below what it deserves. It is the best restaurant to come to on a typical mountains night (cold, misty, drizzly!). It is always SO warm, cosy, inviting and smells delicious. Clean and tidy to a fault, traditional decor and music and consistent, tasty, hot food with visible, fresh herbs and aromatics. Have been many, many times and will always come back.

The owner was also very friendly and kind and spoke to us on the way out! If we’re in the area again, will definitely be returning to this restaurant! The view from the balcony was also beautiful as well!

Book in advance is my advice and get your camera ready for taking photos 🥰 You’ll love it, I guarantee it 🙏❤️

It was impressive to find a fine-dining Indian restaurant at that location so very well maintained. Indian people should not go if they expect the usual Indian restaurant feel and food. If you love a fine dining experience of Indian food with spectacular views of blue mountains inside a beautifully maintained wooden house, this is your place. Book a table and visit. I would give five stars for how they have maintained their car park and toilet 😀. I could see that the restaurant operator or the lady at the reception prefers to run it as fine dining and doesn't want to or appreciate any deviation, which is good for maintaining that place.

Nestled within the Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains, Embers Grill Restaurant boasts breathtaking views of the Jamison Valley through its expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. The restaurant's specialty lies in expertly grilled cuts such as ribeye, beef tomahawk, and wagyu rump, each infused with a perfect char.
"I had the most incredible time on Saturday night. My spot next to the fire was sooo lovely. Laura was run off her feet all night but was an absolute superstar and did and amazing job 🙌 BEST SERVICE! Went here for a High Tea! The amount of food you got was good and it was mostly yummy. Coffee was cold, and had to pay for an 8th person that couldn't come but was not given the food for the 8th person. You were given 2 drinks per each person and a selection of sweet and savoury.

This is our second time staying at the Fairmont Resort, and at Embers, and BOTH times, our highlight has been Karen and the service team and the kitchen. The service and food has been amazing. There was not one complaint about the service or food. Thank you so much for looking after us, and we will definitely be back.

Wonderful service, food, ambience and view from this restaurant. We were very lucky to celebrate here and enjoy the sunset and scenery from our window seats. Our waiter, Jack, was very professional and also very witty. Everything was delicious. I especially loved the fresh oysters. Thank you for the complimentary champagne to toast our anniversary with and for a memorable evening.

We had an unforgettable dinner at Embers Grill while celebrating my wife’s birthday. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect. When the staff came out with a cake and the whole restaurant joined in singing “Happy Birthday,” my wife was so touched she teared up. It was such a warm and genuine moment that made the evening incredibly special. The food was outstanding, and the setting is second to none sweeping views over the Blue Mountains and valley, especially magical as the light changed at sunset. We also enjoyed a local red wine that had a distinctive richness, likely thanks to the cooler climate of the region. All in all, this was more than just a meal – it’s a memory we’ll carry with us. Whenever we think of the Blue Mountains, Embers Grill will come to mind first. Highly recommended.

It is the combination of the food, service and atmosphere that make it a 5 star experience. The focaccia as an entree and anything on the Dessert menu is a must and the mains may be limited but each one a delight. The market fish is always good and the steak at the top of its game. Thankyou to Karen and the staff who gave us such a warm welcome. I keep coming back with my friends and family as never disappoints.

Nestled in the charming Wentworth Falls, Fed Blue Mountains is a beloved cafe known for its comforting atmosphere and delectable offerings. The cafe's long-standing reputation is well-deserved, with locals praising its generous and delicious food, delightful pastries, and warm hospitality. Visitors can expect a cozy and rustic ambiance as they indulge in locally sourced delights, from hearty breakfast options to mouth-watering pastries.
I have never had coffee served so quickly before - it’s almost like they knew you were coming. Coffee is terrific and the service is excellent. Breakfasts were great and served in a clean environment with a good atmosphere. We were in Wentworth Falls for three days. Usually I like to try different cafes, but having found this one on day one I don’t want to be disappointed with other cafes close by - if you find something you like, stick with it. Would definitely recommend.

Great little establishment with superb upstairs and downstairs dining. Thoughtfully decorated in comfortable yet 'on trend' atmosphere. Closes each day 3.00 unfortunately but you've gotta remember, Wentworth Falls is no thriving metropolis! Food is freshly made & coffee is outstanding. I had the salmon cake with rocket salad. Yumbo! Well priced, beautifully clean in all areas and a wealth of almost everything to choose from. Make it A MUST to visit & sit upstairs on the enclosed verandah.

Excellent pit stop on our journey through to Wentworth Falls. Loved the food options available in the front counter, super tasty and great portion sizes. The staff were lovely and only too happy to help with questions/requests. Highly recommend stopping in at this cute cafe, lots of yummy treats to choose from! ☕️

🌿 The Fed, Wentworth Falls We stopped by for breakfast and it was such a great choice! ☕🍳 We had The Stack (white sourdough topped with avocado, hash brown, bacon, haloumi & a fried egg surrounded by their signature ‘Fed’ tomato salsa) and scrambled eggs with avocado & mushrooms — a gluten-free option for me 🌾✨ Everything was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. 💛 Definitely a great spot to start your morning if you’re around Wentworth Falls! 🏞️

Really like this small cafe. Lots of GF options both savory and sweet. Coffee was very good however the decaf was very weak and required and extra shot. We sat downstairs in the doorway which was very breezy and cold but discovered that there's a whole big area upstairs which looked really nice and would have been more comfortable.

We were really disappointed with our recent trip to Fed. This wasn't our first time, and while the service was better on our last visit, the food was just as average, and this time the service was honestly frustrating. At the time of our visit the place wasn't busy, and there were several staff members working behind the counter. Our server was young but seemed completely out of their depth. It really feels like the younger staff haven't been properly trained, she couldn't answer our basic questions and I felt bad for her but also frustrated as the service started rough. The water glasses were placed face down on the dirty outside table. My partner ordered the vegan rice ball that comes with a choice of chips or salad. When they asked for the salad option, the server said there was no vegan salad available. Why list 'salad' as an option for a vegan dish then? When the rice ball arrived, they were given a non-vegan dipping sauce on the side with tomato sauce. Honestly, given how confused the server already was, we didn't even bother pointing it out or asking to swap it, it felt pointless. My meal was also disappointing. I had a chicken pie which was quite dry and underwhelming. This just adds to a previous experience I had where the Thai meatball ordered was excessively salty. It seems the food is consistently average at best. When I went inside to pay, there was a ready-made vegan salad in the display fridge. When I questioned why it couldn't be served as a side, I was told it was "takeaway only"... It makes zero sense to have a vegan salad ready to go but refuse to serve it as a side for a vegan dish that literally offers a salad option? Additionally, a simple, fresh garden salad is so cheap and easy to make (and usually the ONLY option available for vegans, the irony...) making this whole situation completely bizarre. The fresh apple juice was the only redeeming factor of the entire meal. Overall, the combination of confused, untrained service and consistently average food makes it very hard to recommend. We won't be going back.

The relaxed atmosphere makes it the perfect place to enjoy a delicious take-away cake or pastry.

Bakery Patisserie Schwarz is truly a hidden gem in the Blue Mountains. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with the most welcoming atmosphere and the warmest service. The lady at the counter is so lively and charming—she makes everyone feel at home with her kind smile and genuine hospitality. Their coffee is easily one of the best we’ve had in the region—rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. To go with it, we had a biscuit with coffee and tried an almond croissant, and both were absolutely delightful. The croissant was especially memorable—so buttery, flaky, and fresh, with just the right balance of sweetness from the almonds. Every bite was a treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It’s the kind of place that not only serves amazing food and coffee but also leaves you with a warm, happy feeling. If you’re visiting the Blue Mountains, this patisserie is a must-visit. You won’t just find great bakery treats—you’ll experience genuine hospitality and a place that feels special.

Visited an old bakery in the Blue Mountains and tried their pretzel, scone, and open melt sandwich. The pretzel was familiar but good, while the scone with cream and strawberry jam was incredibly soft and delicious. The open melt sandwich lets you choose your own ingredients, and the combination I picked turned out great. The veggies were really fresh, and the bread was soft and tasty. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to next time I’m in the Blue Mountains.

Staff extremely rude. Surcharge $4 per item if you dine in. Yes $4 per item. And the food is disgraceful. Avoid at all costs. $72 for 2 pies a donut and a snail pastry tea and coffee. Disgraceful stay away
David B — Google review
Bought a few pastries for takeaway as inside dining was full, took the food to the outside tables (it was 8 degrees or around, light rain), as soon as we sat down to take some photos of the food, a staff came out and asked us if we bought food from Schwarz (if you looked at the table you would’ve seen the pasties?), we nodded and then she said that we can’t have takeaway food at their outdoor tables either. Mind you there wasn’t a single soul sitting outside because of the cold. The wildest thing I heard was that we would have to pay extra to sit outside and eat their food, otherwise there was a park nearby we could eat at. I didn’t pay $5 something for a pretzel to eat it at a nearby park And their apple strudel was slightly salty?? Mind blown.

I was overcharged on 26th Aug at this place. They had one price on the menu to dine-in, which I did. I paid and sat down. After I sat down, I noticed that there was a different, increased price list on the chalk board for the same items that were on the dine-in table menu. I checked my card payment for the food I had just purchased. It was at this point that I realised, I had been overcharged. The dine-in table menu didn't match the chalk board. The price stuff shouldn't happen to someone else so I called the place, to tell them what had happened. I specifically said that I was not looking for a refund ($6) but I was trying to stop this from happening to another customer. I ended up speaking to a guy who said he was the owner. OMG, what a rude argumentative person. He suggested that I was after a refund (and wasn't getting one!) and he basically said that I was lying. I mentioned that I had the photo of the of the menu with the timeline and this can be easily compared. He wasn't having any of this. As rude as they come. This place is going to self implode. I've been coming here for years and won't return. Take stock mate, if you're getting this type of publicity, don't you think for one minute you should think that maybe it's you and the way the place is run? All these now former customers who are raising the same issues? You obviously love the money so think of all the future income you will lose. Here's the photos of the menu, with the timeline. You see, I never did lie.
Jai P — Google review
Used to be a loyal customer, but will now never return due to the rude service we received. We arrived at 4pm, as we read online that the bakery closes at 5pm. We weren't welcomed, just asked what we want. We ordered sandwiches and was very rudely told that the kitchen was closed and we close at 5pm. We then walked to a nearby cafe, Lovebites Coffee co, where we experienced the complete opposite. We were welcomed in, the waitress apologised that the kitchen was closed but she could offer us coffee or anything in the front disply. Unfortunately we were looking for a bigger meal, but we will definitely return after that lovely welcome and service we received. The food is also now incredibly expensive at the Bakery Schwarz, $21 for avocado on toast. So sad, we have been going there for years.

Katoomba RSL is a popular spot for both locals and visitors in the Blue Mountains. The Red Poppy Brasserie, located opposite the club, offers a family-friendly environment with entertainment options for kids such as pinball machines and air hockey. The cafe also provides delicious meals at reasonable prices, including special deals on certain days of the week. Visitors can easily become temporary members to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and tasty food.
Katoomba RSL, its food, service, and atmosphere. Customers frequently praise the friendly and attentive staff, the quality of the meals, and the overall welcoming environment. While some reviews mention inconsistencies in specific dishes or interactions with certain staff members, the general consensus is that it's a great place for a relaxed and enjoyable meal, especially for families.

Located at 86 Lurline Street, Katoomba, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 A good little lunch to come to for a meal. Everyone in my group seemed to be happy with their meal, but I had the prawn pasta and I found it to be a very bland, not a lot of taste. I paid $27 so I was a little disappointed. The staff were friendly enough but when I went to the bar, I was standing there waiting to get served and the two staff were just chatting, basically ignoring me. Very blasé. I have been to better clubs. The menu is your typical bistro style food, offering a decent selection. The club itself is nicely designed, very open and it’s wheelchair accessible which was good for our group. Overall, it’s an average club, good for convenience 🤷‍♀️ but I have been to better clubs.
Nerine C — Google review
We were recently in Katoomba and a local told us that the RSL was the best place to go for dinner. The club itself if great, fairly modern and staff are friendly and welcoming. We booked a table at the Red Poppy Brasserie and were greeted by a lovely staff member who showed us to our table and explained the menu, specials and how to order. The meals were lovely, flavourful and generous is sizing. The only thing we could agree to fault, was the food temperature- it just wasn’t hot enough. It was warm, edible - but not hot like you would expect. We were looking for desert, but that is ordered at a different part of the club and was very limited in options. The area it was served in was very loud due to live music and meat raffles taking place. The desert and coffee was ok. The had a quick look through the gaming area and was supposed to see poker tables set up with full tables of people playing, there is also a wide variety of gaming machines on offer. We enjoyed our meals but not sure we would order those again - maybe try something more simple that will be served at a more desirable temperature.

Such a lovely club. Really nice seeing some older generation men working. So much respite and class they have. 6pm and the club stopped as they played the last post with a mix of waltzing matilda in it. Was very emotional and lovely to hear. Food was delicious and generous portions.

My tour group made a stop at the Katoomba RSL for a lunch break, and it was such a welcoming place. Upon entering, I was struck by the warmth of the atmosphere and the variety of dining areas available. We were served a preset meal, and I chose the fish and chips. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the service came, and the food was not only hot but also very enjoyable. I found myself curious about the meaning of RSL. My tour guide explained that it stands for Returned and Services League, which is similar to veteran services in the US. There were medals proudly displayed by the entrance, a touching tribute to those who have served. During my visit, I also appreciated the ample free parking, making it even easier for everyone to enjoy their time there. It felt like a genuinely inclusive space, and I left feeling grateful for the experience.

I visited the Katoomba RSL primarily to attend The Radiators concert. The staff at front desk were friendly as were all the bar staff and in Red Poppy brasserie. I do recommend reserving a table as the brasserie was at capacity and the order queue long. We ordered the weekly special "Lamb shanks" and were disappointed it was just one shank, when the picture advertised showed two. The meat although tender was bland, lacking a jus with some blandish tomato sauce instead. The mash potato lacked seasoning and was cold. We also ordered the salt'n'pepper squid which was great, crispy and tender. Also ordered the Steak Sandwich and happy to report the meat was not chewy. The auditorium used for the concert was set up like a conference or a church sermon with rows of seats. Not the best setup for a rock concert. It was also disappointing there was a bar in the room but not being utilised, you had to go out to the main bar for your drinks. Then you had to pour your drinks into plastic cups. Normally I'd understand if there was a hardwood floor but the whole venue was carpeted, it felt unnecessary and not an environmentally friendly option as there are now extra glasses that need to be washed and extra rubbish for the plastics

Sorensen's Glasshouse and Gardens is a picturesque cafe and nursery located in Leura, surrounded by stunning gardens established by landscape gardener Paul Sorensen. The glass-walled building offers breathtaking views of the lush greenery outside, creating an idyllic spot to enjoy breakfast or lunch while browsing local wares for sale. Whether you're sipping coffee amidst spring wildflowers or rich autumn foliage, the ambiance is truly amazing.
First time trying Sorensen’s Glasshouse and all I can say is I’ll definitely be coming back! It can get busy so book in advance however we were lucky to get a table inside without a booking. My partner and I went for breakfast and both got the Belgian Caramel Waffles. They were absolutely delicious and not overly sweet. The service was great, staff were welcoming and took our order straight away. Coffees came out and food followed shortly after. The glasshouse is tucked away, nestled in the trees. It has the best atmosphere, with little blankets provided if you get cold. The outside tables are also pet friendly. We had a great experience and I can’t fault this place one bit!

Absolutely magical place! We took our two young children on a perfect winter’s afternoon for a late lunch. They accommodated us at late notice upon leaving scenic world. Staff were helpful, kind, and attentive. Even generously moved our table outside when we realized how gorgeous it was. Don’t miss sitting outside. Such a treat. All the food was delicious- we had the green bowl, special of the day quiche (superb and so fresh) and the kids had various sides and things from the kids menu. The highlight was the scones- not to be missed. Children loved playing in the garden. Food served very quickly despite being really busy. Do book ahead if you can!

We feel the care as always What remarkable about this restaurant is one day when my husband and I couldn’t get our motorcycle worked. It was late, rain and we had to go back to Sydney. The owner came to help us to get the part to fix our motorcycle. Turned out he is a pilot and our son is studying in aviation to be a pilot. Nestled in the mountains, Zoe's is a multifaceted establishment marked by a red neon-lit Z. This venue seamlessly combines a live music space, a chic cocktail bar, and an innovative Mexican restaurant to create a vibrant and cohesive atmosphere. The classy interior adds to its appeal. Under the guidance of Chef Will Cowan-Lunn, Zoe's in Blackheath offers inventive Mexican cuisine. Guests can savor tacos and margaritas while enjoying the lively ambiance.
A new Italian restaurant (previously Mexican) with a straight-forward menu. Despite being full booked for Friday night, they were accommodating and fit us in for a quick dinner as we made our way to Bathurst. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great, with a pianist playing relaxing Jazz tunes, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food came out really fast and was fresh and yummy. I really enjoyed the fig and procuitto dish. We arrived famished and left content and happy (from the Jazz tunes). Thank you and we'll be back on our next road trip.

My partner and I visited Zoe’s in Blackheath for Valentine’s Day dinner. The atmosphere was nice, but the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. The entrees were overpriced for what you got. I paid $18 for 4 slithers of pickled capsicum with 5 butter beans—honestly, not that tasty. For the price, I expected more. The mains were better, though not perfect. The beef shin was underwhelming, which was disappointing given its potential. The biggest issue we had was with the service. After being seated, we were forgotten about, and our drinks only arrived partially, forcing me to get up and retrieve the rest myself. The staff seemed a bit disheveled and were more focused on chatting behind the bar than clearing tables or taking orders. Overall, while the food had some redeeming qualities, the service and value for money left a lot to be desired. I’d use caution if considering a booking in the future.

The most beautiful Mexican! The cocktails are actual cocktails that have some bite and the passionfruit curd, young coconut, cashew praline with white chocolate mousse was delightful! Do not miss this place to grab dinner if you are local.

Had a wonderful time with the family, despite the food being very mediocre, the staff were friendly and considerate (gave us an ice-pack for the night). Nachos and tacos were not authentic, nacho chips were crunchy but slightly tangy, beef brisket was bland and cold, guacamole was average, and portion was small for the price. Mixed up our orders and got a cauliflower dish (that was tasty!) instead of tacos, but wasn't charged for it which was nice of them :) They have a pool area in the back and live music on some nights. Not bad, but not the best. Maybe next time, Zoe's! :)

Tips and Idea! We walked in to Zoe tonight without booking, knowing that its weekends we did try our luck… luckily we got in and have a good table near the window. I must say that booking is essential here for weekend dinning. Been hearing alot of things about Zoe from others and I decided to try it myself. We ordered, Soft tacos Pulled Pork and Beef (Most Recommended), Prawn Hard Tacos for an appetiser is Most Recommended to try. We also ordered the Guacamole with Deep Fried Tacos (Not my palate for tonight) but taste very good tho. We did’t order any alcohol as were driving and were only dropping by for a light dinner. Staffs here are very friendly no complain at all. Waiting time for the Food is around 15mins maximum based on our experience. Drinks will be served less than 10mins. The place is very cozy and they have days with live music too, i thinks every Fri-Sat they have local musicians. For a first timer, I would say… I will recommend the place to others… the only missing star ⭐️ in my rating is that, maybe I was expecting more options but to be honest their menu is just enough to keep you full and drinks to get you wasted (lol). Location: Blackheath NSW

Had a lovely time but while the food looked fantastic, something was missing, just some punch of flavour to take it over the edge from nice to amazing. Cocktails were great and service was very fast to bring food over, but were slow to grab attention or bring water to the table. The seating was extremely uncomfortable and the music really ruined the vibe; they were the main sticking points
Caitlin C — Google review
Completely disappointing. Service was awful. The staff kept saying they have been busy. Not that they are busy right now. We later found out the person that kept saying this was actually the owner which says something about the place. Our mains came out before our entrees. Two of the mains were incorrect therefore two people eating before the other two. One of us was told that the Amaretto sour couldn’t be made after they took the order so it was a whisky sour which we accepted. We then didn't receive our drink and had to ask – this was when two were already eating mains. It then came out and was the worst whisky sour I have ever tasted, which shows the bartender isn’t tasting the drinks. There wasn’t even foam on the top. We said this to the staff and he said oh I understand but that was it. No acknowledgment that this isn’t how the cocktail should be – again this was the owner saying this. Would definetely not recommend or visit again.

A really fantastic experience, the architecture is just bonkers, wings were added in 1904, the 1930's the 1940's and 2000's, and rather than trying to make them all the same they have features of their time, the floors dip and rise where wings were joined together, and hallways have odd bends in them. The Edwardian main building and east wing are fantastic, they have artwork and features that wouldn't look out of place at Luna Park's Coney Island. The stairs from our room to the ground floor exited through a plain door, just like a secret passage. The bar and west wing are glorious art deco with a beautiful grand staircase that we took turns flouncing down like 1940's film stars. The staff were all super friendly, the rooms while small had deep soft carpet and a lovely bed and retro features in the bathroom. In short I loved it, I loved the quirkiness, I loved the decor, I loved the adventure and whimsy of it all. The architectural features don't match, the carpets don't match there's doors to nowhere all over place and the floors creak. It's glorious. If you're after a smooth, sleek modern hotel with a gym and business centre you'll be sorely disappointed, but if you want to stay overnight in a cross between a magic castle and a museum you'll love it.

We had high tea booked here last Saturday and the view from the restaurant was so beautiful. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated with Christmas decor (Christmas in July). Service was great, but having the staff coming to our table with the bill before asking for it, felt unprofessional and rushing us to leave. The scones were delicious, the savoury was so and so, and most of the deserts were nice. Price wise, I felt it’s quite expensive for the quality of the savoury food. Overall it was a nice experience.

Spent the last 2 nights in this beautiful hotel. We received an upgrade to the valley view rooms as we were celebrating a birthday which was a nice gesture. Marcus at reception was great, very helpful and pleasant. Service was very good all round. We enjoyed breakfast twice at the Wintergarden with an excellent food selection. Yes, as I read in other reviews, the rooms are a bit outdated but you don’t stay at the Hydro Majestic expecting it to be new and modern, you stay here because you appreciate history and luxury from past decades. Everywhere you look there is a piece of history you won’t find anywhere else. We had a beautiful stay and hope to be back.

Beautiful hotel with history, but rooms need some renovation! Pros: Building with history, beautiful view, love the architecture, amazing service, wonderful cocktails and fine dining. The bed was very comfortable, and the curtains are thick, which was great! We had two tables in our room which was great when we wanted to get some quick work done. Cons: Needs renovation, especially the rooms! We paid $700 for one night. When we opened the door of the room, I was disappointed quietly. For the money we paid, I expected a larger room, and really a renovated one. The carpet looks like it’s 10 years old, lots of stains everywhere. There were no slippers or a robe in the closet. The view from the room was cluttered/ disturbed by solar panels. Overall I should say we did have a good time.

We had a high tea here for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was fabulous. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. The price was about what you'd expect for such a classy place. The view is fantastic. We were given some free bubbles when the staff were told of the occasion. Totally recommended

We recently stayed at the Hydro Majestic Hotel and had a fantastic experience. From the moment we walked in the warmed of the place just makes you feel good. The decor is beautiful and the stuff, I can't praise them enough. It was a miserable rainy day of our booking. We got there late morning and the reception stuff were lovely to check us in early. We walked around the hotel, chatted with lovely stuff about the history of the hotel. We had dinner in the garden restaurant. The plates of food were very beautifully presented and delicious. Breakfast the next morning was also very good. Good selection of pastries, hot and cold food. We very much would like to stay again. Thank you for making our 37 the anniversary a memorable one...

We have often driven past this hotel on our way to Bathurst. Saw an episode of Travel guides last year that featured the High Tea there. Booked on line and called in this time passing. High tea was delicious and the view from the Winter Garden room was spectacular. The service was first class. Definitely worth stopping in and treating yourself.

Nestled in the picturesque Little Hartley, Ambermere Inn is a charming heritage establishment that has been welcoming guests since 1845. Originally serving as a public house and Cobb & Co staging post, it has transformed into an inviting bar and restaurant perfect for romantic evenings or casual gatherings. The inn boasts a delightful courtyard and a cozy backyard, providing stunning views to enhance your dining experience.
Amazing service. This place is on the highway but for some reason I've been driving past here for 35+ years and never noticed it. It's been recently renovated inside and has a bar now. The place has such a lovely ambience to it. I ordered a pork dish and the pork fell apart beautifully. The pannacotta for dessert was also a good option, not too filling.

Ambermere Inn treats you like family. They have an incredible menu which paired with excellent service, makes for a fantastic evening. Recommendations on dishes include: the saffron risotto with the most meaty and tasty chorizo (locally sourced), the cod dip and their whole rainbow fish. Have their honeycomb semifreddo to finish off and you've got yourself a 3 course wonderland.

The Ambermere is great location with great views. The food is superb from the main coarse to desert. Open fire places add to the atmosphere and the location. Nice old style bar and great outdoor area. If your in the mountains do drop in you couldn’t find a more friendly place for a meal or a drink.

Wonderful place to stop for food! Loved the outdoor sitting area and be sure to visit their little shop for local goodies.

The venue is gorgeous - one of the oldest buildings in the area, the food is interesting, varied and delicious. The garden gets a lot of sun, so bring a hat for lunch. The shop has a wide variety of local food, reasonably priced and the music on the weekends creates a delightful atmosphere

The food was delightful and ambience was well suited for a date or romantic dinner. The whole ocean trout was cooked perfectly and I would definitely recommend. Chicken pate was also wonderfully creamy and light.

Atmospheric heritage inn now operating as a romantic bar and restaurant. Relaxing and civilised, with a bright courtyard and charming backyard (with a gorgeous backdrop) plus wood fire indoors. The chefs knows a thing or two about good food. Everything was yummy! The chat potatoes are amazing so do give them a try. Everything tastes home made but done very well (e.g. the aioli was freshly prepared). Service is charming, thoughtful and kind. This is a place to be relaxed at. Prices are not astronomic. There is wine tasting available.

Great place, the menu is different but what we had was really lovely. I can recommend the roasted cauliflower and the chat potatoes were the best.

Wattle Cafe, the oldest in town with a youthful team, offers an authentic and lively dining experience. The staff is caring and friendly, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The cafe serves fresh and tasty food, with generous portions like the bacon and egg roll. However, the open front door can make it noisy due to traffic from the nearby highway. Despite this, Wattle Cafe is known for its fantastic burgers and coffee.
I've been to this cafe a few times now. From the moment you step through the doors of this cafe you feel instantly relaxed and welcomed. The staff is so very caring, friendly, and genuinely nice. The coffee that I ordered arrived within moments. The food is fresh and tasty. I had ordered a bacon and egg roll. What was served up in front of me was a meaty and juicy roll the size of a dinner plate. In an additional note, every so often you will hear peals of laughter coming from the kitchen. Maybe that's why the food tastes so good; the staff is also well looked after. I love this place.
Enoch Z — Google review
Lovely staff here! The young people managing the place when we stopped in for breakfast were so chipper! It was a super crisp morning when we came in, so we were very happy to see a warm fire burning in the middle of the cafe. The menu has some funky twists on the standard bacon and egg breakfast options. They also do some good vegetarian options. The coffee was nice, but I tend to like something a little stronger than most. The prices were fairly standard for the area, meals between $15-22. The staff are also willing to make alterations to menu items, if you ask.

We come here all the time. Since the new management took over the Wattle Cafè has massively improved. Great food. Great service. A top place for breakfast or lunch.

Fantastic burgers & coffee but very noisy!! The combination of the front door open directly onto the busy highway, the loud music & the constant loud long banging to empty the used coffee - sadly made it difficult to enjoy the yummy burger.

Thai Silk Restaurant is a local gem located in the vicinity of Govetts Leap Road and Wentworth Street. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring appetizers, curries, stir-fried dishes, soups, and chef specialties with options for chicken, shrimp, salmon, beef, pork as well as vegetarian dishes. The food is described as sumptuous and authentic with impeccable service. Diners recommend making reservations in advance due to its popularity and high demand.
Love the food here! Every time I visit it's great. Especially the Chicken Satay Skewers with the best mouth watering peanut sauce. I love the old home feel with it being relaxing. Very helpful staff. Thank you! 🙏❤️

Absolutely incredible food, fantastic service, and excellent prices. Honestly some of the best Thai food I've ever had! The pad Thai was delicious as was the chicken curry with satay sauce. The coconut rice was divine!

Had a wonderful meal at Thai Silk in the Blue Mountains. The curry puffs were light, crispy, and packed with flavour. The yellow curry was creamy and aromatic, with the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. The standout for me was the stir-fried pork belly beautifully crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a rich, tasty sauce. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Everything tasted authentic and freshly made. Definitely one of the best Thai meals I’ve had highly recommend Thai Silk!

Dinner at Blackheath surprised me with a wonderful little Thai restaurant in an old cottage with some fabulous and very well portioned dishes. The Barramundi red curry was the standout. It felt like eating 2 whole fishes. This is how a Thai restaurant should operate

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We love Thai food and we have had Red Curry Duck and Satay Chicken from many restaurants. Let me be absolutely honest. This Satay and Curry is THE best we have ever had, EVER. Beautiful dining , amazing food.

The food was served incredibly fast, and everything we tried was full of flavour, especially the panang curry, which I highly recommend. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the place is spotless. It’s a lovely, family-run business with friendly service. If you’re craving tasty, authentic Thai food, this is the spot!

Top notch Thai takeaway - the food highlight of our Blue Mountains visit. We ordered: Cashew Nut vegetables (very fresh veg with great flavours), Crispy Pork Belly (very tasty), Pad Kee Mow chicken (super spicy but couldn't get enough) + Thai Fried Rice (a bit bland but good base dish to counter the spice).
Tony W — Google review
Had dinner here while stating in the Blue mountains area. We did have to book because it was a weekend and it was busy when we came. We were seated promptly and given the menu. They had a good selections of dishes so we tried several of them and shared. The food was excellent, it had good serving sizes and the flavours were authentic. They are all priced reasonably well. The restaurant ambience is nice, good spacing between tables and clean environment. Staff's attention was a bit hard to catch but as I mentioned they did seem very busy that night. The only other negative comment I have is we did wait close to 1 hour to be served the food we ordered as they were serving restaurant customers as well as catering to their takeaway service. Overall a good experience and will dine again if the chance presents.

The Gardners Inn Hotel is a cozy and relaxed establishment that offers comfortable rooms, a restaurant, four bar areas, a beer garden, and a deck. Despite facing an unforeseen double booking issue from bookings.com, the manager swiftly resolved the problem by providing an alternative solution. The staff's exceptional customer service went above and beyond in ensuring guest satisfaction. The inn's convenient location, friendly atmosphere, efficient holiday staff, and high-quality food presented in satisfying portions made for an enjoyable experience for all patrons.
Stopped here for lunch after doing some hiking with our dog. The big back deck was undercover so we could sit, have a meal and a couple of drinks with our puppy. The food was great, the beer selection was excellent (anywhere with Reschs on tap is great in my opinion). Great spot for a meal.

Beef & Guinness Pot Pie & a pint of real Guinness Stout was my meal fare for tonight in true Country Pub fashion. Really tasty on a brisk night in Blackheath.

This is our Go-To for a train day-trip to the Blue Mountains in winter. On arrival we were invited by some locals to share the gas-fuelled fireplace. We gratefully accepted. There's plenty of seating & two fireplaces to warm up near in the main bar. We chose Beef Pot Pies for our lunch @ $26 ea (& large servings 👍) The railway station is only 250m from the Inn door & there's an inviting waiting room at the station.

Dropped in for lunch on way through Blackheath. Great menu lots to choose from. Reasonably priced, lot on the plate. Quick service, friendly staff. Clean amenities. Not too noisey. Log fire appreciated on cooler day.
GPG — Google review
As plentiful as the plates were, unfortunately the food was luke warm, even the lamb cutlet’s fat had started to solidify and was cut as white, and the steak at $45 was way over cooked for a medium choice 👎 Blackheath doesn’t have many eat-in choices for dinner, however we’ll not eat here again
Vintage * — Google review
The food was overpriced, stingy, and bland. staff, including the manager were rude. Would not recommend eating here.
Gene A — Google review
Went here for lunch, wasn’t the best thing I’ve tried in a while. Admittedly the Guinness pot pie tasted great 👌🏼 the vegetables were not cooked and the potato seemed like it was instant mash and looked unappealing. For what we got and the time we waited to receive the meal when it was literally dead, 0 people seemed a bit comedic. I don’t believe the prices reflected the quality of the food.

Blackheath General Store & Cafe is highly recommended for its country cooking, offering restaurant-quality meals that can last for multiple nights. The all-day breakfast menu and chai tea lattes are also praised. Customers love the take-away options like Coq Au Vin and Paprika Chicken, as well as the mango goat cheese bruschetta made by Chef Bec. I love the Blackheath General Store. I always have a delicious meal and a good coffee and even a mock tail is on the menu now so I don’t have to worry about driving after. Chef Bec made a lovely mango goats cheese bruschetta as shown in the photo. It was yummy!

Ho's Palace Chinese & Seafood Restaurant is renowned for its exceptional cuisine and outstanding customer service. We were so lucky to get a table at this restaurant at the last minute on a busy Sunday night of the long weekend as the hotel next door lost our booking for a table. Excellent, friendly and quick service. Food came out very quickly and they were piping hot. Generous portions. We had the sliced steak with pepper sauce and sizzling Mongolian lamb with boiled rice. Lovely and peaceful ambiance. Interesting Chinese decor. Highly recommend.

We had the most amazing dinner here for my husband's 60th birthday. Food came out quickly and was very tasty and fresh. We even treated ourselves to a cocktail that was expertly mixed. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They accommodated my gluten free needs without hesitation. Highly recommended.

I live in Sydney within a kilometre of Chippendale/Haymarket/Chinatown but travel quarterly all the way to Blackheath to dine here, because it’s the best Chinese restaurant in Australia. And has been since 1986. I first read about it in ‘Chopsticks or Fork?’ by Jennifer Wong/Lin Jie Kong and was originally drawn there to see the Bondesque ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ interiors. But this place is a triple threat - a fancy fit out, stellar service and fabulous food. Ate the Banquet C there tonight with my sons (with an additional Honey Prawns and Deep Fried Ice Creams). Once again, perfection. The owners Sam and Aline Ho are living treasures. Go.
Jo G — Google review
Extremely poor experience. The food was average. But their attitude handling our complaints of having a fly within the served dish was so bad. They often said that having a fly in the dish in China is normal. So be careful with what you eat if you decide to go

Loved it - a classic of Aussie Chinese restaurant kitsch, fab decor and super friendly hosts. We had sizzling beef (awesome), sate chicken (spicy), special fried rice and prawn toast.
Steve K — Google review
Food was average. Spring roll entree were just frozen spring rolls you could get at supermarket. Satay prawn dish came out cold so had to have it reheated. Fried rice was not fluffy and flavoursome. Only decent dish was the Bok Choy in oyster sauce. Then came the bill. Way over priced plus charged extra for some chopped chilli plus extra for a spicier version of the prawn dish which as mentioned, was cold. Will not be going back.

Delicious Chinese Food. Love the decor as it was like we were literally dining in Asia. The owner was very friendly and attentive. The portion sizes of the meals were very generous. If you're on the hunt for a pizza experience that truly delights, look no further than Pizza Delish! We prefer pizzas with fresh toppings, which are cooked on a thin crisp base and not too heavily loaded and soggy. This pizza was amazing for us! I ordered pizza on Thursday delivery. It was cold it was running late. I ordered a deal number nine the meat lovers had not all the toppings on it and it was quite gross and disgusting. and the supreme was cold and the time before that I ordered delivery, they forgot my garlic bread i’m very disappointed in the quality of the pizzas considering the meatLovers had not all the toppings it was just sad and was just dusting and the supreme was just cold.

My teenage son went in to order a deal nine on Friday night. It took him 30 mins to get Acknowledged then to place his order. Then we waited A further hour for our order. We were so hungry we opened it in the car but couldn't eat any as it wasn't cut all the way through. Once we got home I found out why. The base was that burnt, it was tough and cracked instead of cutting. The toppings were really only in the middle not on any of the edges and and my supreme was missing toppings and instead an overload of olives to fill it. Didn't taste like anything but charcoal and olives. Garlic bread wasn't cut either. So disappointed. The kid's feed theirs to the dog under the table because they didn't want anything but the first two bites. Left Disappointed and hungry.

Blackheath Kebab House is a popular fast food spot in Blackheath, New South Wales. Located in the Blue Mountains, this town offers a variety of dining options including cafes and restaurants like Wattle Cafe, Govetts Cafe, Memento Espresso, and Cinnabar Kitchen. Blackheath itself is an Australian town situated near the highest point of the Blue Mountains with an altitude of about 1,065 meters.
After a full day of walking through Scenic World and taking in the sights, we were looking to have some kebabs and pizzas to fill us up. And boy, it hit the spot! The pepperoni pizza and meat lovers pizzas were tasty and the crust was just the right thickness and the toppings & cheese were perfect. The best part of the meal though was the snack pack. We got the mixed snack pack with garlic sauce and the box was literally overflowing with meat! The beef was a tad bit too salty but the chips compensated and the sauce leveled it out overall. I would recommend this place if you're looking to get a satisfying meal post your full day workout at Blue mountains. The staff were quick too and very efficient.

Hounslow, located in a charming arcade, is a hidden gem for coffee enthusiasts. The iced butterscotch latte and fancy food presentation make it a delightful spot. While some find the portions small for the price, others praise the fritters as the best they've ever had. The cafe's cute alleyway location provides protection from unpredictable weather. Visitors rave about the delicious beef burger, calabrese toastie, and especially the seasoned crispy chips.
This one’s a bit of a hidden gem tucked away inside an arcade. Glad we searched up coffee spots in Blackheath because I really enjoyed what we had here. Iced butterscotch latte was delicious. Food was also really good, and presented in a way that’s a lil bit fancy. We love that. Portions looked a little bit small for some dishes, especially considering the price, however it looks to be about average for the area after looking at a few other menus. Would definitely go back, their menu was intriguing and distinct for the area.

Absolutely great breakfast. Seems to be under new management, and so much better. My partner had two slices of sourdough with avocado, poached egg and mushrooms. This was so good and so well made, absolutely delicious. My daughter had the poached eggs, which came with sourdough, asparagus, pickled daikons, and sorrel. Very impressive. I had the iron bark streaky bacon and egg roll. Delicious. It came with rocket, kewpie mayo, pear chutney and Swiss cheese. Superb. We also shared a side of hot herbed chips, which had a brilliant herb mix along with aioli. I want to know what’s in the mix. So good Also had brilliant drinks. Mine was a butterscotch latte, so yum. Highly recommended. Would definitely come back.

Friendly and helpful staff. I ordered a big breakfast minus the bacon. The staff offered me to pick other ingredients for free in replacement. Food is decent. The place is cozy with both indoor and semi indoor seating

Yes, as good as the reviews say. Fantastic coffee and particularly liked the build your own breakfast as I didn’t want a large serving. You’ll find Hounslow inside the shopping arcade next to the bookstore.

What a great spot, tucked away in a little arcade! Food was excellent, and the batch brew coffee was off the charts. Staff were welcoming and very friendly. We will definitely be back for some more batch brew before our stay in Blackheath is done. Get there or you are missing out!

Small cafe hidden away in an arcade off the main street. The service was great as was the food. Coffee was also quite nice. Only drawback is the price, around $30 on Sunday for a burger with chips is a bit expensive. If you want to see more photos and tips, feel free to check out my Instagram → @6yearsinjapan

Great cafe recommended by our BnB hosts. The burger is delicious and the fries are epic. The coffee is really good too! They seem to have a really nice wine and cocktail selection for dinner…or day drinking. Would love to come back and try their other dishes. I now have a go to cafe/restaurant when I’m in Blackheath.

Everything about this cafe was amazing. The atmosphere, the waitresses were friendly, extremely helpful and assisted us promptly. It was such a welcoming place. The food was outstanding. We received our food fast. The food we ordered was very tasty and fresh. We loved it here and we would definitely be back soon. I highly recommend this cafe.

The menu features delectable options such as ham and cheese quiche, smoked salmon sandwich, prosciutto sandwich, beef lasagna, and raspberry tart. The high-quality ingredients shine through in every dish. The coffee is top-notch with a beautiful taste and aroma. The friendly owner adds to the welcoming atmosphere of the place.
The Little Piggy Deli has such a lovely warm and inviting atmosphere that it is such a delight to be there. The food is made by someone with such skill and is delicious. There are vegetarian options. Seating is available but limited.

Such a cute shop with the friendliest people. Had a great time browsing through their condiments. Tarts and nougat tasted amazing. Aside from that, they also sell pate, cheeses and other snacks. Would visit again ✨️

One of the best cafe in Blackheath! We had the quiche loraine, beef lasagna, raspberry tart, and accompanied with coffee & hot chocolate! Everything was perfect! The weather was pretty cold and the lady (I guess she's the owner) lent me the blanket and asked me whether or not I want to move inside as it's warmer 🥹
Denny K — Google review
A cosy little deli and cafe, with great cakes and pastries. Our kids loved their pies and quiche. We found the carrot cake delicious and the lemon blueberry cake with lemon drizzle was something quite special They also have selection of deli items that would make for super charcuterie platters.

Popped in for a sandwich after missing g out on ANZAC day. The shop is quaint, cosy and well stocked. The owner was friendly and helpful. We got the smoked salmon sandwich and the prosciutto sandwich. You can taste the high quality ingredients! Someone stopped us on when we were enjoying our meal and asked us where we got the sandwich haha! Worth a visit!

Cute place. Had a quiche and salad and a coffee at table by window. Nice spot to grab something light to eat. Coffee was very good. Friendly service. Would return.

Osteria 2785 is a charming gem that truly captures the essence of warm hospitality and culinary delight. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by genuine service that feels both modest and inviting. The menu reflects a thoughtful curation of seasonal ingredients, resulting in dishes bursting with flavor—each plate beautifully presented and impossible to resist. The calamari stands out as one of the best you'll ever taste, while the pastas are cooked to perfection, showcasing an impressive balance of flavors.
My wife & I had dinner on a Saturday night and as my wife is gluten intolerant we shared dishes, we had bruschetta and meatballs for entree, then gorgonzola gnocchi & lamb ragu for main. Fantastic flavours in the meals, the only fault we could find was they had ran out of some gluten free items
Michael C — Google review
The service was great! Very accomodating and attentive to our needs. The ambience of the restaurant was soothing, good music and low lighting for a romantic, cozy feel. It was warm but wasn't hot and stuffy. The place was clean. The food was disappointing. The pasta was soggy and their sauce... very watery. It felt like i was sipping the sauce. Also, not included in the picture, we ordered the caprise swlqe We were told that the menu was changed recently, perhaps they also changed the chef? If not, then maybe we came on a bad day. Overall it was decent. The service made the entire dining experience worthwhile!

Friendly, cosy restaurant with delicious food - but what really stood out for us was the service. All of the staff were warm and attentive, but in particular the lady with dreadlocks gave us stellar service and even gave us great tips on where to go in Blackheath and which lookouts to visit. She was very funny and made us feel very welcome. This is a lovely restaurant.

We have dined here several times and have always enjoyed ourselves. The food is delicious and the staff are welcoming and well versed in the menu.

I don’t know if I was just really hungry but the food here was so good. The calamari was one of the best I’ve ever had 🤤 The pastas were both flavourful and cooked perfectly. Even the broccolini was delicious… the tiramisu was ok, not traditional but tasted good. Not complaining as it was free for my partners birthday! I would suggest booking if you’re there on the weekend. It wasn’t a long weekend but it was still quite busy. I would definitely be back if I’m in Blackheath again 😌

We booked in large part due to the positive reviews, and we completely agree with them. The service and friendliness of the staff is second to none. So warm and engaging. The prosciutto and rockmelon salad was perfect light and tasty, as was the calamari - some of the best we have had.

This place has the best Italian food that I have ever tasted. Absolutely beautiful, nice ambience & very jovial attentive staff. This is my first time here bit it definitely won't be the last.

From the moment we arrived, the service at Osteria 2785 stood out — genuine, modest, and refreshingly unpretentious. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the beautifully plated dishes to the thoughtful, attentive service. The menu was clearly designed with care, offering a well-curated selection that showcased quality ingredients and seasonal produce. Each dish was full of flavour and balance — it was hard to stop eating, and honestly, we didn’t. We overindulged and have zero regrets! The wine list was extensive, with something to suit every palate, and we loved that the restaurant supports local wineries and breweries — a true celebration of the region. Osteria 2785 is a gem — authentic hospitality paired with exceptional food and drinks. Can’t wait to return.

Looking for a great spot in the city to satisfy your sweet tooth? Look no further than Ellie Belly's Dessert Bar! They have delicious toasted sandwiches that are perfect and won't keep you waiting like at Victory Cafe. The only thing I can say is that the flat white had too much foam. However, if you're into that kind of thing, this is the place to be! Also, they offer good options for people on a gluten-free diet.
Lovely place to have a hot or cold drink and recharge. They had lovely pastries. We had the scones and oat apple crumble cake, so delicious. The lady was on here own working so hard and being so friendly. The interior is a bit old, but for a quick stop it’s really nice.

Disappointed to have brought a slice of their chocolate marble cheesecake today as a treat for my husband only to realise when I got home it was moldy. Makes me quite concerned about the other items I consumed today when I came in for a chai tea and something to eat - whilst I did some work on my laptop. Really disappointing, food should be better checked in the display window especially those containing dairy and meat. Otherwise staff and service were lovely but not happy with lack of food hygiene especially when charging $9 a slice of cheesecake

Beautiful little cafe! -Coffee was very well made. -The bacon and egg roll had perfectly crispy bacon and two jammy eggs. -The scone with jam and cream was beautifully presented and equally tasty. -Staff were wonderful and service was quick! Would highly recommend you visit.
Karina N — Google review
If you’re in the mood to be thoroughly disappointed and robbed blind, this cafe is the place for you. $25.53 for a dry, cold sausage roll and a pie so hollow it could double as a balloon — and yes, that price includes a mystery “weekend surcharge” they don’t bother to disclose anywhere. Good luck finding any prices at all; nothing is marked, because apparently they prefer the sticker shock to hit once you’re at the register. The sausage roll was an embarrassment: dry, flavorless, and barely lukewarm after a 15-minute wait (microwaved, no less) despite only one other table being occupied. The pie? A masterclass in deception — two-thirds greasy puff pastry, one sad teaspoon of filling, and zero care. The staff matched the food perfectly: low-energy, disinterested, and seemingly inconvenienced by the presence of customers. If you like paying premium prices for fast food-level quality, cold service, and a side of regret, this place will absolutely deliver. How embarrassing. Do better 👎

Wow! Destiny was at play when I pulled off highway for a break… found this delight right across the road… wow what a find! The food is baked on premises every morning so piping fresh. The pies were the best I’ve had in decades. I travel the world and not even in Paris have I tasted anything so perfect. I had the beef burgundy pie… the coffee was perfect and judging by other consumers around this busy bijou cafe every thing else was too. Hot chocolate seems to be a big hit, served in resplendent @1970’s Orange china… beautifully presented and downed by youths with gusto. Staff were professional and friendly- giving a family business vibe. All heart from cooking, presentation to bon viva atmosphere. Desert collection was also divine although I didn’t have room after the beef burgundy pie. DELICIOUS!

Dan our waitress was a great host and the food and beverages were perfect and so delicious. My husband had the bacon and cheese roll. And was cooked to perfection and the coffee was fabulous. I had the chocolate brownie it was warm and served with strawberries and the melting moment biscuits were melting in the mouth so yummy. We will love to see Dan again and we will be visiting you again very soon,.

We stopped in for a treat with my son, and we got the hot chocolate fondue and a little treat to go with it. It was well worth the price, he was so happy and the cinnamon roll was hands down the best one I have ever had! If you are looking for a place to warm your insides on a cold day or fill your belly with treats, I highly recommend! 🙏🏻

Pomelo Cafe is a cozy spot located on the main Great Western Highway near traffic lights, making it a convenient stop for travelers. The menu offers a variety of options, from classic cafe fare like fish and chips to Asian-influenced dishes such as udon, katsu, rice bowls, and specials like Tom Yum prawn fusilli pasta and Thai chicken curry. Visitors have praised the delicious banana smoothie and well-cooked, seasoned food.
I stepped into this cafe and found it truly rewarding, amazing coffee, awesome atmosphere and well decorated seatings. Must visit if you are passing by Blackheath.

I ordered for lunch the Satay Chicken Burger which when served to our table, my friend and I were shocked because the serving size is great which is fair for its price. It was creamy but I just couldn’t finish it off as the serving was too much for me, but not complaining. Their Matcha latte is good but not the best. Love the cute vibe of the cafe. Service is not that great though. We could feel that the lady serving our food was not in the mood. She switched our orders with the other customers twice. Probably not in her best which we can understand.

Nice tidy Cafe. 10/10 There are Artist's artworks are featured hanging on white wall. Low-hung black and white lights are hanging from the ceiling. The tables are nicely spaced and not cluttered and packed in. The staff are polite, friendly and presented well. More smiles would lift the vibe and excitement. Food is presented well. I requested a specific need with my meal. It was well communicated with the chef/cook. Thank you. We all have dietary requests and needs. Thank you for being accommodating. Great coffee ✔️ Great food ✔️ Good selection on the menu All day breakfast Busy with a good customer turnaround.

This cafe has a cozy vibe and friendly service. While the menu is limited, every dish is thoughtfully crafted, bursting with flavor, and served in generous portions. We tried the spicy beef bowl, salmon bowl and the curry bowl, everything feels fresh and satisfying. The spicy beef was stellar and reasonably priced for the location. The curry was an average though and could have been better. Udon bowl was simple and delicious. It’s clear that quality matters more than quantity here. A perfect spot for a relaxed brunch or coffee catch-up or even on a rainy day. Definitely worth a visit if you love simple, flavorful food!

Nestled in the charming village of Blackheath, Vesta Blackheath was a delightful culinary gem that brought together rustic European flavors with a cozy ambiance reminiscent of the Blue Mountains. This quaint eatery showcased an inventive menu crafted from seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, all expertly woodfired to enhance their natural flavors. Diners could indulge in exquisite dishes like nettle soufflé and succulent pork belly while enjoying the warmth of a homey space.
Food was great and staff very helpful for a last second booking. Wine list leaves nothing more to be desired. Highly recommended, start with charcuterie and then anything else on the menu.

Amazing service. A cozy place on a cool evening. Scrumptious food and a great variety of wines to choose from.

Lovely place and friendly people. Also, sublime and gorgeous dishes with local supplied ingredients with special attitudes about freshness and taste. Started with marinated olives and home made bread and "our charcuterie", just love the duck rillette in the charcuterie giving a real punch taste, fish and lamb are the main dishes. I would suggest you to figure out the fantastic works from the chef.

Nice place .. very good service and Great flavour. But my lamb shoulder was so fatty i feel like i had a pile of fat on my plate. At almost $40 i think it should have been better. Campari grapefruit was yumm.
Theo Z — Google review
Vesta is a dining option one would expect more in the centre of a city rather than on the top of the mountains, but the epicurean and local sourced styling of the menu fits Blackheath perfectly. Whilst the menu is small it is incredibly well put together; with dishes being balanced in flavour and the perfect size to order dessert afterwards or an entrée beforehand. On the current menu the whole spatchcock is possibly one of the best things I've eaten, coming deboned and served with some very tasty potatoes and a delicate, yet flavourful Semillon jus. The lamb shoulder is similarly delicious, being tender and flavourful with the accompanied vegetables bringing both smoothness and a needed crunch to the texture. Wine and drink choices are varied and well chosen and will suit most people very well. Dessert was similarly stunning (Definitely try the bread and butter pudding!) & the service was friendly and high class, hands-down beating service I've received in some 5-star or hatted restaurants in both Sydney proper, and Melbourne. Overall an amazing dining experience with some well-prepared rustic style meals that will leave you more than satisfied. Hope to return and try some of the different menu options one day!
James S — Google review
Delicious food. Fantastic regional wine list. Great team on the floor, kitchen and behind the story. Def one of my top 10 global dining spots. Thank you Vesta!!
Héma P — Google review
Exquisite, thoughtful food, refined yet cozy atmosphere. The experience and passion behind Vesta leave little left to be desired in a dining experience. I'll be back soon. Looking forward to their seasonal menu.
Nathan M — Google review
This tiny restaurant in a historic Blackheath shop serves delicious local produce, all woodfired to perfection. Menu is small but inventive and carefully crafted around seasonal ingredients. Sadly all was much diminished by an extremely abrupt head waiter (was refused plain butter when asked for with the bread). GO: if you love slow roasted meats PASS: if you like service with a smile. Don't miss: nettle soufflé and pork belly
