The 50 best cheap eats in Valencia

My 5 stars are reserved for places, products or service that exceed my expectations and this locale met this criteria. For me the highlights were incredible service, quality ingredients and wonderful preparation and presentation. I have seen this tapas bar many times during my visits to the market but always thought “I’m not going to stand around and wait to fight for seats together”. However, I was wrong. There is a great system of seating. There is a person, I guess maître’d, who is controlling the seating, the servers and the kitchen… oh.. and serving also! I didn’t catch her name but an incredible person to watch while enjoying their offerings. She maintained a list of the groups of people waiting to be seated and when space became available, she had one of her servers seat the group at the bar and while we had to like up, the line moved quickly. The only thing you have to watch is that there are folk who hover around trying to jump the queue, so to speak, and when our seats freed up, we had to push lurkers out of them as they slipped in under the radar of the staff. The rhythm of the meal was more or less well. There was a slight delay on some of the bocadillos and we had to ask but the maitre’d made the kitchen jump. Being in the Central Market, I assumed the ingredients were sourced there from local suppliers and producers. This meant for very fresh tasting meals both in flavour and texture. It was a little pricey for a bar. However, after our wonderful experience and realising we weren’t at just any regular bar, I understood. I now have this on my list to return on my next trip to the market and may just venture back there directly for another incredible dining experience.

Saw that this restaurant in the market was by a famous chef, it was even featured in a few travel vlogs, hence why we decided to visit. We didn't have to wait for seats as we got there at around 9:20AM. We had the best squid here! Their red shrimp was also very good. Cod fritters and potato omelet were just alright. If ever, there were a couple of things on the menu that we wanted to try that was just unavailable. Reasons being the supplies haven't been delivered by the farmer etc etc. I guess I can understand that, I just wish it didn't happen to 2 to 3 of the things we wanted to try. They said maybe some things will be available on a different day or in the afternoon. Good place to visit, just set your expectations accordingly. I would have to say that the staff were so nice and they served everything quickly and efficiently : )

This bar/counter is located within the central market and always seems busy with a lineup of patrons waiting to get a seat. We were lucky when we showed up before our train trip down to Alicante that the line was very short. We got a seat within 10 mins after arriving. The menu had a tremendous amount of options to choose from, but I only had a limited appetite. The standout dishes for me were the cuttlefish with mayo & lime and the crispy pig ears. Space is very limited as there is only counter seating. Service was quick and paced according the items ordered. Highly recommend and will visit again next time I’m in Valencia.

Outstanding. Interesting menu. The eggplant with miso was my favorite. You have to stand in line and sometimes the line can be long and it’s only bar seating. We’ll go for a third time next time I’m in Valencia.

Went for breakfast at Central Bar around 9:30 and it was already fully booked with a queue forming quickly. Luckily had some jamón from the market while waiting. Started with two XL oysters, then moved on to chicken croquetas and pig’s ear with curry sauce. The pig’s ear was a bit too salty for my taste but still enjoyable. The staff offered excellent wine pairing suggestions for each dish, which made the experience even better. Also tried two bocadillos: the Canalla with blood sausage and the Ricard Camarena, the bar’s signature sandwich. Both were outstanding and easily the highlights of the meal. Not cheap, but top-quality food, thoughtful pairings, and a lively market atmosphere make it absolutely worth it.

Central Bar is a tapas bar inside the Central Market of Valencia. It’s a small, walk-in-only spot with bar seating only, and the queuing system is not clear at all — I had to circle the bar to realise there’s an actual spot where you’re supposed to wait. Luckily I got there right at noon and didn’t have to queue, but if you arrive later, expect a wait. Seating is tight, so you’ll be elbow-to-elbow with strangers, which can feel pretty awkward. If you have a bag or belongings, it’s inconvenient since there’s nowhere to put them except on your lap or between you and your plate. Definitely keep an eye on your things — it’s a tourist-heavy area and I wouldn’t trust leaving a bag on the back of a chair. Food-wise, I left underwhelmed. The Local Oyster XL was the best thing I had — fresh, sweet, and briny. The Roast Chicken Croquettes were just okay, nothing memorable. The Rabbit in Garlic Sauce, though, was a complete letdown. The meat was bone-dry, the sauce was gloopy and starchy, and it felt like a dish that should never have left the kitchen. For a place with this much hype, I expected better execution across the board. One saving grace was the wine. I had a glass of Bardos 2024 (Verdejo) which was bright and full of peach and citrus, perfect for summer. The staff also deserve credit — with my almost non-existent Spanish, the waitress was very patient and friendly, which made the experience a bit nicer. Still, between the mediocre food, the heat inside the market (I was sweating through my meal), and the cramped seating, I wouldn’t rush back. Maybe the sandwiches — which everyone around me seemed to be ordering — are their strong point, but for me this visit was a miss.

Long queue, had to wait for about 1 hour to get my table which was actually promising. I don't mind queuing for great food. It's ok, nothing mind-blowing. I'm sure their produce is fresh. Somehow it was lacking overall punch in the flavors. The sepia was a bit on the chewy side. The mussels were actually plum and juicy just the soup was very peppery. I guess that is their signature taste. I really wanted to like it. Was just not my taste. But for sure it was freshly made and served quickly. The croquettes were creamy and crunchy, golden brown yet lacking flavor. And for sure I couldn't taste the mussels. The olives were great! Overall it's ok. By no means is the food bad. Was it worth waiting for 1 hour? No. Would I eat here for a quick bite? Yes. The waiter was efficient and worked like a machine but I never saw him smile in the 2 hours I've been there .

Easily top 5 meal in Valencia. We ordered the sepionet (grilled cuttlefish fish with parsley garlic oil), Valencia mussels (in a savory and watery broth), patatas bravas (with a dollop of garlic whip) and a glass of vermouth and tinto de Verano. Everything was delicious. I would recommend this same exact meal.

Big, interesting and lively market in the center of Valencia. Definitely worth to take a few minutes to stroll around and look at the various sales stands.

I was looking to eat something for a second breakfast and I found that Uno Mercado had some not only traditional bocadillo. So after a question to the owner which bocadillo he recommend, I bought the one with tortilla Espanola and jamon. Also a local beer (even it was 10 o'clock in the morning) I liked this combination and It was a great idea. So I want to recommend this location

Really good market with many local specialities, from olives to cured meats and preparations. You can find great quality fish and meat, sandwiches and snacks, local cheese, wines, and other local food you must try. There are many stands in it, each one with a different category of food.

There’s something special about dining in a restaurant that has stood the test of time for well over a century, and this seaside establishment certainly carries that charm. The setting is beautiful—just steps from the beach, with a timeless atmosphere that makes you appreciate its long history. The meal itself was a mix of highlights and lighter notes. The calamari leaned a touch over-fried, and while the squid ink paella carried good flavor, we found ourselves wishing for a bit more of the seafood that usually makes this dish shine. On the other hand, the steak was excellent—perfectly prepared and enjoyed by both adults and kids alike. Overall, it was a memorable experience to step into a place with so much heritage, enjoy the views, and savor a meal where the setting plays as much a role as the food. A lovely spot to try at least once, especially for its history and location.

I know why La Pepica has been in business since 1898. The seafood paella was absolutely delicious - as you can see we scraped the pan clean! Nice view of the beachfront and chilled atmosphere. Reservations are a must- the place was packed we went on a Monday afternoon not even on a weekend. The service was unfortunately really slow, we waited a good 45-55minutes for our paella but do keep in mind they make it fresh from scratch- so ultimately worth the wait. When ordering, keep in mind they charge the price per person for the paella - don’t be shocked. 17,90€ per person for the seafood one. Enjoy!

Wonderful experice in this historical restaurant. We reserved the terrace which was great. Good vibe, big restaurant with many pictures from the past on the wall. The service was excellent, friendly and we enjoyed the paella along other dishes. For sure a good place to dine to become part of the history of this legendary place. Lunch time is great as we can enjoy the view ofcthe huge beach.

I had the best shrimps in my life at this place! We ordered it two times in a row (i should have eaten more of it). It was also not expensive at all! Great place directly at the beach. We just had no luck with the weather.. the whole week it was raining (march 2025). But anyways, i highly recommend this place if you visit Valencia!

The food was absolutely delicious. This restaurant has so much history and culture importance that it is a must if you are coming to Valencia. Being a tourist means you sometimes have to embrace the classic spots, the ones everyone talks about. La Pepica is one of those places, and for good reason. We were served by Ramon, a pleasant and attentive chap who made the experience all the more enjoyable. The food was excellent, every dish was spot-on and the location, right by the port, couldn’t be better. What’s not to enjoy? Make sure you book to avoid disappointment.

The place looks packed and I’m thinking the food must be good. Unfortunately I can’t say I’m impressed. Ordered New York steak, cod, calamari and side salad. New York steak is a bit dry and not a lot of eatable meat, fries came with the steak is not very tasty, probably from a freezer bag. Cod is small portion, side salad is ok but the lettuce is not fresh, I can see the redness on each lettuce. Overall, over priced tourist experience. A glass of sangria is 8 euro, for the last 2 weeks in Spain, it’s 3-4 euro. Won’t be coming here again.

What an amazing meal! Everything in this restaurant was completely awesome. My highlights were the Cebollas Tiernas and the Gambas-Chilli-Crab. The tarteleta de limon as dessert is the best choice, really incredible and way better than the Corte Helado in my opinion!

Every experience with Ricard Camarena is great, but this is a really nice spot for enjoying excellent tapas/fusion dishes. As like Bar X the corvina dish is remarkable. The ensaladilla rusa was excellent with a uniquely Asian umami flair. Service is always perfectly kind and knowledgeable. For the level of quality, prices are totally reasonable.

Delicious food, highly recommended the avocado cannellini and miso aubergine. Service was ok, often had to ask multiple times for things. Music was bizarre, quite load and 70’s rock vibe.

This surprisingly spacious restaurant offered a delightful atmosphere. We scored a cozy table in the back, perfect for an intimate dinner. The starters were a highlight – elegant and boasting a refined, easygoing taste. While I'm a huge ribs fan, my choice wasn't quite a slam dunk. The boiled-then-fried preparation with a sweet and sour sauce leaned a bit heavy for my preference. (For fellow rib enthusiasts, theirs were battered, not grilled.) However, seeing the delicious-looking beef dishes served at other tables made me wish I'd gone that route! Overall, the service was top-notch, with friendly and welcoming staff.

Very authentic experience at La Riua! Loved our meal there. Paella Valenciana was very good and portion was generous.. although meat was drier than it should be, but the taste of the rice itself was great! This place was recommended to us by a tour guide, and we were told that it has one of the best Valencian paellas here. There’s so many reviews here too that indicate it should be a nice place, but we found the paella to be very salty and the service was really slow. Overall we were kind of disappointed with this place.

This place was recommended by our bike tour guide at Valencia. We were lucky to get a table without reservation as this place seemed really busy lunch time. No English menu, so be ready to use your translation app if you don’t understand Spanish well. We had chicken rice dish (not paella) , it was very good with huge potion size. My partner had sangria and he enjoyed it. People work there seem like good people. Even though I couldn’t communicate with them in Spanish, I didn’t feel ignored or unwelcome. It was good experience I’ll remember long time.

It’s a dish of sea, smoke, and salt made by hands that have done this for decades. It's worth every cent and every minute of the wait. Some people whisper it’s the best in the city. The dessert isn't for Instagram. The Tarta de la Abuela arrives like a simple, homemade story—layers of smooth cream and soft sponge cake. It's a comforting classic that's rich without being too sweet, and it's the perfect way to finish an incredible meal. Reality check: Come hungry and unhurried — or better, reserve ahead. The place fills fast. The atmosphere hums. And the food? Unforgettably good. But maybe that’s the point. The best things in Valencia aren’t always there when you plan for them. We had an amazing experience at Restaurant La Riua! The food was absolutely delicious — authentic, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Our server Guillermo made the evening even better with his friendly and attentive service. My wife and I left completely satisfied and can’t wait to return. A true Valencian gem!

This is an interesting restaurant because they offer Greek food with a Spanish twist. The food was good, especially the fave bean hummus and meatball dishes. We ordered a Spanish wine, but they also had Greek wines on the menu and many vermouth options. Service was a little slow, but very friendly. They take online reservations and they were able to accommodate our group of 7.

One of the best meals we had in Valencia and our entire trip to Europe. And like others have mentioned, we didn’t expect one of our favorite meals to be Greek. The tasting menu is a fantastic bargain for what you get. The food is beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Very uniquely presented Greek flavors with a touch of comfort/home. Service matches the food as well. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

At 18 euros for a small slab, the moussaka had to be very special and although it was tasty, I don't think it was worth the price. Everything else was on the expensive side - 2.90 for a small bottle of water, 5 euros for a small glass of wine, 2.40 for an espresso bringing the bill for two people to 50.80. We skipped the 8 euro desserts and only had the one coffee.

First time in Kuzina , the tzatziki and pita was a win , the cod was also good but the vegetarian moussaka was horrible , we did not eat it , the waiter asked why we had not eaten it and when we told him that it was not good he told us that he thought the same thing, still they charged us which we did not complain and paid for the full meal . 7.50€ for a plain Greek yogurt is a tad overpriced.In general we found the whole experience overpriced for what it is and do not think I will be back

A real little Greek gem in Valencia! 🌿 We really enjoyed the dishes, with absolutely delicious starters. The pita was so warm and tasty that we ordered it twice! The eggplant, the small meat dishes, and the orzo pasta were all excellent. The service was very quick and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Authentic cuisine, full of flavor. We highly recommend this restaurant and will be happy to come back whenever possible!

It’s our second time visiting and as the first time everything was great. The food is amazingly delicious, authentic and totally worth the price you pay. The service was on point, time slots are more than enough for you to enjoy the experience and to leave happy. Make sure to check them out!

Delightful, cosy wine bar with great tapas (they also have a larger restaurant adjoining). We had several delicious tapas of different but equally good types. There’s a full wine list, but we had a great local red. The owner is utterly charming and a great host.

A gem in Valencia! Tinto Fino Ultramarino is a truly special place. The atmosphere is warm and retro, with a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The food and wine were simply perfect — full of flavor and beautifully presented. What really stood out, though, was the owner. A unique character with incredible positive energy — he left a lasting impression on us. We were especially touched when he offered a discount on the mixed platter. Although it was absolutely delicious, we couldn’t finish it as I’m vegetarian. That small gesture said a lot about the heart behind this place. It's more limited compared to the typical mercados in Spain. You can eat, drink, and shop inside, but there are fewer options. Don't expect the crowds or variety you'd find in other mercados. It has a calmer atmosphere. The building is very beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful market! Mercado de Colón in Valencia is a stunning place with great architecture and a lively atmosphere. There are plenty of options for delicious snacks and tapas. We enjoyed two beers here while soaking in the relaxed vibe. It’s the perfect spot to take a break, people-watch, and taste local flavors. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Valencia!

Not many handcraft sellers, but a beautiful building nonetheless. I would have preferred fewer coffee and food shops (which are everywhere in Valencia) on the ground level and more space for local stallholders instead.

Absolutely delicious! Amazing combination of fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and spoke English very well, which we appreciated. The prices were more than reasonable — we paid only €22 for 6 items and 2 drinks! Highly recommend trying the ones with eggplant and mushrooms!

I don’t think anybody can truly understand how much a restaurant can feel like heaven on earth before coming here! I discovered this place though friends who visited it already and since then it’s a weekly thing. Not because I just CRAVE the most delicious Tapas in Valencia but everytime I come, the service, the laughters, the people - everything. I didn’t try a tapas I didn’t like yet and I ate EVERYTHING. I have never seen the servers not smiling or being the most genuine beat servers I’ve ever met. For solo travellers: even if you’re alone, you won’t feel alone here. For partners: do a romantic shared dinner! For friend groups: grab some tin to de verano and enjoy the night. I LOVE THIS PLACE 💘💘💘 I will come back to Valencia just for tanto monta, I swear.

It provide set lunch with 3 different price tier. We go for the Express tier.. If you come in 2 person, go for their Rice Stew of the Day... We had "Pork Rib Rice Stew" it is so mamamia!!!!! The desert are good too especially the caramel cake (do add 1euro for the ice cream, you won't regret it!)

Lovely staff and service but the lasagne I ordered was dreadful - no ragu/tomato sauce... Just minced beef between pasta sheets topped with cheese. Very poor and very disappointed. The other meals we ordered were ok (chicken: good, burger: good/average).

A great place for Lunch, Offering different options of affordable lunch set menus of fusion cuisine. Food tastes great, fresh and served within reasonable time. I recommend the tomatoe, russian salade and crockette from the starters. The only item I didnt like is the brownie which tasted blunt ( as if it lacked cocoa) and too sweet. A true feast for the senses! We tried almost the entire menu and every single dish was a highlight. The croquettes, in particular, were absolutely incredible! The entire experience was a pure 'inner flower-picking' and a high point of our trip. Highly recommended!

Excellent food, very considerate and swift service. Terrace seating is nice, but there is not much to see. I had Burrata salad, which was superb, and a chicken which was just to the point of tenderness. The sauce was delicious, albeit I could have used more - I guess it's my fault for not asking, since they are really nice here. The place seems to fill up a little after 21:00, but still very relaxed.

La Tasqueta has officially made it to the top of my favorite restaurants list. What a gem! They offer set menus at fixed prices, allowing you to taste a bit of everything, with different deals for both lunch and dinner. The flavors are simply unique, and the chef truly deserves an award for the culinary experience they deliver. As an ice cream lover, I have to give special mention to the **dulce de leche ice cream** served with their brownie – it's out of this world! You’ll leave this place smiling, satisfied, and absolutely happy. Highly recommend!

Truly a highlight of our visit to the beautiful city of Valencia, we feel fortunate to have had to the opportunity to sample the best of Paella. Thanks to Rafael Vidal and his talented team. Arriving for a Friday lunch, we could see how beloved this place is; some gatherings of generations there for "occasions". A lovely ambience. The traditional Paella Valencienne was outstanding, with wonderful starters. Never have I tasted Squid so good. Everything was beautifully presented and the service was impeccable. Amazing local Valencian cuisine. The food is definitely some of the best I’ve had in Spain and the paella was delicious. We tried the tasting menu and it was more than enough food. Service was excellent and recommendations were on point. I had read many great things before coming and I was not disappointed!

Best paella and best service. I'd also recommend the Auga de Valencia and the cod croquettes. Both were out of this world. Paella takes ~50 min so be patient or call ahead. The restaurant was dead when we arrived at 2pm but don't be fooled - it was packed by 245pm. I guess people eat even later here. Definitely get a reservation if you can

The staff was brilliant, they presented their menu, answered all our questions and they speak English which is really useful if Spanish is not your first language. We had a tasting menu which is 31 euro per person and it includes 4 or 5 starters, paella of your choice for main course and a dessert. Starters were amazing and we pretty much got full even before paella arrived. Paella was good, we had Valencian paella with chicken and rabbit and if you want you can get snails for an extra charge. For dessert we got cakes which could have been better but were still tasty. The interior has A/C and it is nicely decorated. All in all I would recommend it to everyone.

Really interesting place in the middle of Ruzafa, very close to the market. They have a system where you ask how many small pizzas you want (I recommend around 3 per person) and they choose which ones will be. The atmosphere is very authentic and the price is very fair. Good to go with friends.

very rude waitress/cashier. when i just arrived she brushed me off saying she will "be back" in a very unprofessional and unpleasant tone. it made me feel like i was begging for a service i paid for. it instantly ruined the experience for me and even made me lose my appetite. a simple smile and or a bit of politeness would’ve gone a long way. so i ended up waiting for like 15min before i could even order. as for the food, i personally found that the pizza was fine, but not the best. the tiramisu however was a letdown. it was soggy and lacked flavor, possibly because the waitress rushed it out of the fridge and served it to me before the food arrived . by the time i got to eating it, the texture and taste were completely off. so overall i wouldn’t recommend this place. poor service and ordinary food just don’t make it worth your time.

Great pizzas! It’s nice to taste multiple pizzas because they’re small sized. It was very crowded, but in a good atmospheric way. Also good prices. 👍👍

really good prices but overall just ok, drinks are cheap, each pizza cost 3€ and is freshly made which is nice but also means you’ll have to wait quite a while. Taste wise the pizza was very average, the only one worth mentioning is the tuna onion one. probably wouldn’t visit again :/

We visited Ubik Café and, unfortunately, the coffee was undrinkable. We ordered the brunch menu and a flat white, but the oat milk was burnt and the grind size seemed off. The coffee was so sour I couldn’t drink it and left it as it was(as u can see from the picture)—I ended up going to Blackbird nearby, where we’d had a great experience the day before. This might have been an isolated issue, but before leaving, I shared my feedback with the waitress. She kindly asked why I hadn’t said anything earlier. I thanked her and left. The reason I didn’t mention it sooner is that, after serving us, she never checked back. The staff was polite, but I wouldn’t recommend coming here for coffee.

Lovely cafeteria hidden in the hipster area of Valencia. Food quality: in Spain it is always high, made of fresh and flavourful ingredients. Price: i would say menu is on the pricey side. The weekend before we were in Madrid and prices were comparable. For 2 sandwiches with 1 poached egg on each (1 with a side of bacon, but very little quantity), 2 black coffees we paid almost 27 euros. Atmosphere: for me personally if a cafeteria allows dogs inside, it’s already a winner. The reason I put 4* review in the atmosphere section is because just behind the cafeteria there’s a hotel/hostel, and guests were entering and exiting through the same door as Blue Bell with their huge suitcases pushing us in the back. It creates chaos. Service: there’s a lot of people wishing to eat in Blue Bell which is fantastic, so in that case more staff is needed because people waited for their food for a long time.

Pancakes with Sour Cream??? But in the menu says cream. Confusing. However after we told the server, they acknowledged and agreed to update the information. The poached egg was overcooked. But shortly we got a new one. Service is swift and friendly. Food is still good but used to be better…

Excellent coffee, one of the best I've had in Spain so far. Apple pancakes were really good, if not a little pricey. We had to wait a while for someone to come over after initially going to the register.

Great place for eating great local food dishes. They are not selling ”paella” every day, because their food is good enough and fancy. The only thing I would mention is drinks and coffee are not part of the price of the menu. So the final price is 11€ plus drinks and coffee which about 15€.

Very cute restaurant, we ordered lunch menu. Food was simple but very delicious! Especially for the dessert we ordered, apple pie was incredibly delicious! Considering the price we paid, the meal was very cheap. In order to avoid all the tourists in the city centre, to have a quite and nice lunch, this is a very good option for you!

Visited La Fabrica tonight as a solo traveler to catch the live band tonight. The venue has great vibes and was packed. Get there early to get a seat. Drinks were good and not overpriced. The musicians and their friends were friendly and welcoming. It was a great way to end my first day in Valencia.

During my month in Valencia, it became clear that there's always something to do, including a free jazz show at one of the coolest bars I've ever stepped foot in! Right near the beach and you'll find yourself swept away by the industrial, yet cozy feel of La Fabrica, tapping your foot to the live music while grabbing an ice cold pint. Go for the Turia, a local and spectacular beer. Complete with food, so you don't need to worry about searching for somewhere else to go. Arrive early to grab a seat if there's a band on. Side note: the band was awesome!

Amazing place to hangout and drink some beer. Not like a regular bar, but a place where you can enjoy a company of friends, beer, food, live music and just chill around in a nice environment. The vibes are brilliant! ✨

Lovely location with cool decor and a sweet vibe, with multiple venues for concerts, comedy, etc. Love the multiple bars in rooms. BUT, drinks are overpriced, food service is anything but inviting, and the quality of the food (although edible) is not impressive. The kitchen DID however follow directions on accommodations, which is a big +! We will return when the event calls for it, but I would not seek this place out as a place to land for the evening based on the lack of attentive service.

I love this bar and their music events, modern, trendy with good products. Perfect for a Gilda with a vermut or a turia. The live electronic music is always cool.

I passed by this cozy little café-bar again and finally stepped inside, drawn in by the soft sound of the piano music. The place is small but charming, with cute vintage decorations n friendly staff. The place itself is really beautiful, this is the old fashioned we ordered. It wasn’t the first cousin of an old fashioned, tasted like lemonade and whisky and was not enjoyable at all. It’s a pity as the place is lively with such a nice vibe. If it’s not broke don’t fix it, keep the old fashioned sacred.

The place has its own charm, but the waitress can be very rude. We were there one night while a piano player was improvising - this was not a concert event, the guy was just having fun -when the waitress came over and scoled everyone in the most rude way because patrons were making too much noise. We left and do not intend to go back.

Coffee made of cheap beans and cost almost 3 euro. Maybe i was unlucky with barista, but i couldn't even finish my cup. The place looks very good and and cosy. But if you really like good coffee, i don't recommend it.

Great location to have a drink, very nice interior and the terrace is in a typical Spanish street. And beside the nice drinks we also got chips which came with the drinks. I met the very friendly owner and he told me normally they also have live music. We order Aqua de Valencia and a Corona and later on a Margaritha aswel. And before we knew.... We sat there for 2 hours or so.

Such a great hidden gem of a wine bar. There are only a few tables best suited to 2 people drinking wonderful wines and sampling some of the excellent cheeses and meat - The owner is so helpful and friendly, it's well worth asking for a recommendation. The service was decent and the food was promising until we saw the 'so called' veggie burger. It made our eyes shriek and our mouth go dry, even the flies lost their will to fly. The taste was even worse than the appearance. And it matched our cries. R.I.P The flies who ate the burger. The tortilla sandwich was awful. Not cheap either. DONT EAT HERE.

Amazing little gem inside el carmen neighbourhood! We went there after seeing some reviews online and could not have had a better experience. The place had a very nice spanish authentic style. Nothing too fancy. Amazing food and service. Had the Pulpo a la gallega, tostas salmón y aguacate and patatas con Huevo negre y blanc. Al with a bottle of wine and chocolate cheesecake for 38€. Really cheap for a dinner in downtown Valencia. We ended up very satisfied! Will come back for sure. Totally recommended.

Been in Spain 3 weeks, and these were by far the best tapas. Had the cheese board, fish board, steak on bread, and ham & tomatoe on bread. All washed down with a bottle of white wine, and a beer. Total bill for 3 of us, 50 euros, and we are full. We will be coming back here next week. I recommend you pre book. The service was fantastic.

During our time in Valencia these were the best tapas we found - hands down. I don't know how this place has any bad reviews, the staff were attentive, polite and lovely - the food and sangria and wine options were all fantastic and the pricing was very reasonable especially for the area! Small restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. We were seated in a small area on the second floor, it's nice to sit for a short while but not too long. Tapas are good and they had a good range of beers.

So much food to discover and eat. Wine, croquettes, empanadas, sandwiches, paellas but also a lot of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. It is a delight to walk around and immersive yourself of what this foodhall has to offer.

The Central Market in Valencia is absolutely incredible. The building itself is stunning, with beautiful architecture and a vibrant, bustling atmosphere. Inside, the variety is endless fresh produce, spices, cheeses, baked goods, and so much more. It’s a feast for the senses, with colors, aromas, and flavors everywhere you turn. The vendors are friendly and passionate about their products, and it’s the perfect place to sample local specialties or pick up something unique. Whether you’re shopping, snacking, or just exploring, this market is a must-see in Valencia. Truly one of the highlights of the city.

A food lover's paradise. Everything you could want in a market is here: wine, chocolates, meat, fish, you name it - all fresh and of incredible quality. Try the sea urchin paste (2 EUR per spoon). Delicious.

The market building is large and impressed me most from the outside. Inside, you can buy practically anything, and it's very crowded. However, I can't help but feel that it's a tourist trap when it comes to fruit. The final price is almost never the same as the price tag, and we bought the worst strawberries there. However, the building itself and the atmosphere are unmatched. Just consider your purchases carefully if you're not a local.

Nice place to roam and get inspired. But nothing was calling me. I am pure veg so didn't get attracted to most of the stalls. Smell was also really strong that day. But it's nice to know that the building is having it since 100 years going on as a tradition

Beautiful market hall with lots of variety. Mostly food, but also some souvenirs. The atmosphere is lively and the building itself is stunning. It was quite warm inside, so I hesitated to try the meat, but still a great place to visit!

I don’t get it why this place have so much good reviews. Let me explain. When I entered to cafeteria nobody said anything. No hi, no show where I can sit, NOTHING. So I just get my table and sit. After few minutes waitress come over. She took order and after few minutes my order was on the table. Reading all those „good” reviews I expected something special, yeah, it was. Chocolate was just ok, rich and creamy. Churros was cold and chewy. Farton was just a bland dough, no taste, no sweetness. Thats a fact. Horchata wasn’t my taste but it’s just my opinion, some people can like it. In the middle of my lunch waitress just brought a check? No questions how good lunch was, how you like that, nothing. Whoooo… Ok, so is this yours customer service? Got it. When I want to make some pics (for review)of food they sell, one of lady shouted on me: NO PHOTOSSS!!! Maybe in response they will explain, why can’t make photos of food? What do you have to hide? It could be a really nice spot for horchata and churros, because inside the cafeteria looks REALLY nice, with THAT mood. I like that. But besides that, nothing is right there. Maybe all those things happened because I’m a tourist and they don’t like tourists. (Spanish people spraying water on tourist in 🇪🇸- you can see that on news) Or maybe they are like they are. I don’t know 🤷 but that was my first and LAST time. Beware of that place, especially if your are TOURIST. NOT RECOMMEND THEM

It’s quite spacious, spread over two floors, though there’s no outdoor seating. 🥛What we ordered: -Horchata: My first time trying this drink! It was nice, but definitely an acquired taste — kind of like coconut water, which not everyone enjoys. Still, as a tourist, I always appreciate tasting something new. - Fartons: So good! Thy are simple but soft and sweet. Loved them! 😋 💁🏻‍♀️The Service: I enjoy writing reviews because I rely on them myself to find good spots and get a sense of the atmosphere. The waiter told me I couldn’t take photos or videos inside, which I respected — but later I noticed plenty of people taking pictures and no one said a thing 🤣. A bit inconsistent, and it’s a shame because it’s such a lovely place to show on Google. 💭Final Thoughts: A little pricey, probably due to its tradition and popularity, but worth visiting at least once. It was nice to try something different, and I’d definitely come back if I get the chance! Five stars anyway — despite they didn’t let me take photos 😂!

Great ice cream with variable tastes, amazing coffee and refreshing drinks. Churros is available in the menu as well. Tables outside at the beautiful Plaça de la Reina.Indoor interior is cosy. Smoking outside tables is allowed. The service is very kind. Recommended!

Churros should be eaten with the chocolate dip. Texture of the chocolate dip is thick yet not too sweet. However note that chocolate dip has to be ordered separately. First time trying Hotchata, nothing to compare but it was sweet. Service is terrible, didn’t feel welcoming.

Average churros and beverages. It won’t wow you, neither will it disappoint you. I guess part of the fun is its nostalgic setting, If you factor that novelty, maybe a 4 star at best.

Polite and friendly staff, excellent selection of pastries. A very convenient breakfast location to our hotel. This croissant was custard and jam, which wasn’t the cheese and bacon I was expecting down to my poor Spanish. I hit my head on bathroom light which is very low hanging.

The location and place was very cute. We sat outside and enjoyed the small patio out front. We ordered the yogurt bowl, ham and cheese croissant, a chicken empanada, chocolate croissants, cappuccinos and a vanilla iced latte. The yogurt bowls were delicious. The ham and cheese croissant came out more room temperature than warm. Along with the chicken empanada, it was a little colder than warm but very flavorful. The cappuccinos were very good, but the latte was watery. The mini chocolate croissant was so good and perfectly filled. We would definitely recommend coming here

Wasn’t expecting the pastry to be so sweet, but as it says on the name most of their pastries are stuffed or decorated with “dulce de leche”. With this being said, if you’re planing to share with someone else don’t order more than two or else you’ll feel sick. Overall, the bakery shop/cafe was amazing!

My visit here was enjoyable. A spacious, quiet place with air conditioning (especially needed in this weather). The staff was pleasant and friendly. Extensive menu with all kinds of chocolate, hot and cold drinks, churros, and bocadillos. I ordered hot chocolate without sugar and a portion of churros. Chocolate was dense and rich in taste. Churros were big, fresh, and hot. Everything was tasty. Good location. There are two floors with a nice view and a toilet upstairs. Definitely recommend!

GREAT location looking out onto Valencia square! The 4 pancake stake was incredible and would definitely recommend. They did offer a lunch menu with sandwiches. Perfect spot to have a drink too, there were seats outside which offered shade or sun and seating inside.

I was going to order hot chocolate and churros on menu. Then the waiter kindly told me in English that it may be too much churros, would be better two hot chocolate and share some churros. HE WAS RIGHT. Even i could have ordered small ones on the back menu… Very kind waiter and good hot chocolate and churros, 5 stars!

Nice Churros, good service! They were really friendly even though we don’t speak the best Spanish. The Churros are crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The chocolate wasn’t too sweet, so we liked it better than any other places we tried the dipping Chocolate! Would come again! You can also sit outside in the sun or under an umbrella!

Such a lovely spot! The churros were absolutely delicious and great quality. I had them with a kind of thick hot chocolate and it was amazing for dipping. Definitely recommend ordering them together! I’m a fan of churros con chocolate, and these are the best I’ve ever tasted! The churros are perfectly smooth, light, flavorful, and not greasy at all. Chocolate has many options like vegan, without gluten etc. Very good,too!! It’s been my place to go every morning while visiting Valencia!

Federal Café in Valencia has a beautiful atmosphere with relaxed, stylish vibes that make it a great spot to hang out or get some work done. The space feels open and inviting, with lots of natural light and a modern, cozy design. The food was good overall, but a few dishes felt like they could use a bit more flavor or refinement. That said, the presentation was lovely and the ingredients tasted fresh. The coffee and drinks were definitely a highlight and worth coming back for. I’d return for the ambiance alone and give the food another try.

The place looks nice and the presentation is attractive, but the flavors were disappointing. We ordered two Americanos at the same time and they came in noticeably different amounts. The chia pudding was not fresh or chilled, and it was overly sweetened with honey. The fresh orange juice also felt off—almost as if the oranges had been stored in an oven. On top of that, even though the café was nearly empty, solo guests were moved from tables to the bar by the window, which felt unnecessary. Overall, stylish in appearance but weak in taste and service.

This place is designed to make you feel unwelcome. The barman made eye contact with us, then went back to doing dishes and staring in to an empty bar - living his best life. After a long wait, he finally served us but focused on correcting our pronunciation of a beer instead of offering any hospitality. Staff here need a serious reality check - doing the bare minimum would already be an improvement. The lighting is cold and bright. The music very quiet. The toilet seems to be permanently out of order. We left after one drink due to this diabolical atmosphere.

We were so full from dinner that we decided to go for a walk. We wanted a digestif. Ended up here as they had seats and had Scotch instead. They had a nice Hibiki. Beer prices were a bit steep but wine was ok. They have a few TVs so good to watch a game.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere at the pub! The service from Alonzo was particularly excellent—he was very cordial, kind, and attentive. I chatted with him throughout the day, and he looked after me wonderfully. I hope you keep improving; a remodel of the facilities, especially the furniture area, wouldn't be a bad idea. Worst pint of Guinness ever… apparently how it’s meant to be poured… according to the barman 🤷‍♂️ I did get him to ‘fill’ it but 🤦‍♂️ it tasted as bad as it looked. We took them back, but had to buy other drinks, not their fault🤷‍♂️

Terrible service. Stupid local rules of this particular pub. Toilets do not work!!! in the pub!!! Are you out of your mind? This is not an Irish pub, this is a low-grade, miserable place with no future and a terrible present. I recommend passing by this disappointment. The waiter who served the street tables on September 11, 2025 at noon is a terrible person. He insulted my family, my children and me. How such people are allowed to work with people is incomprehensible. He simply shirks responsibility, refuses to bring «Hoja de Reclamación». He is simply rude to strangers. He should be fired, but unfortunately this is not possible.

This os the place to relax, simply perfect. It is not about the food, service or the interior, it is about the whole atmosphere. I was there a few times, I just love the place. And my family too. And my friends as well. We are going there again 100% the next time we are in Valencia!

We really had fun here. Very Spanish experience where the sum is more than the parts. Bodega with wide selection of wines by the bottle. The food is only conservas and embutidos. Service is sparse. And they've removed the seats from the toilets in both bathrooms. But we loved it.

7 of us on holiday for my father in laws 80th birthday including my two kids - this place was recommended to us by a local taxi driver - great spot and wine and nibbles where great and cheep as chips - local bar with locals great atmosphere/ we loved it !

Absolutely disgraceful! The tables were filthy, and despite asking, no one bothered to clean them. We had the pleasure of drinking surrounded by the leftovers of the previous guests, how appetizing! The house wine? Tasted like it was squeezed straight out of disappointment. Two bottles down, and not a single snack to ease the misery. The staff? Rude, unbothered, and as welcoming as a brick wall. If you’re looking for bad service, terrible wine, this is your spot!

I went last weekend with a large group and highly recommend. I would have given 5 stars for the food except a friend is on a strict gluten free diet right now and was unable to eat anything on the menu. A gluten free beer was listed in the online menu but was unavailable. For me, however, the burger was one of the best I have tried in Valencia and the beer was delicious. Service was polite and fast. I would definitely return here.

It's the year 2025 and this place doesn't have one single vegetarian option. The staff pointed out that I could ask for a 'meat dish without meat' but also admitted this meant a 'burger bun with some tomato and lettuce' - otherwise known as a sandwich. Only thing I could eat was the nachos - with no meat. Which makes you wonder why they don't have 'vegetarian nachos' on the menu - at least then there's a pretense of a vegetarian option

Great pub close to the city center. Loved the orange wheat and blonde beer! Menu is “pub classic”. Tortillas are just perfect / warm and served with a bit of jalapenos. Fish and chips is also great. It is a bit sports oriented, so you can enjoy games!

I was visiting Valencia with my family and felt the need to watch some NFL since we moved to Spain. Thankfully they show the games using NFL RedZone which is awesome! The service is very friendly and the chili cheese fries were great! If you need a bit of home (USA) while in Spain, this is the place.

Awesome place. Best burgers 🍔 in town and a great selection of draft beer, including an IPA 🍺 They also have a couple of tables outside and the service was great 👍 I definitely recommend the place for a bite and an ale.

Very small but perfectly formed. Great menu with lots of fish options. We had the tuna, tomato salad, cod croquettes & anchovies. The server recommended a local wine which was delicious. It’s small with only 14 covers inside & out with a tiny but very organised kitchen. Definitely worth a visit if you can time it right & get a seat

One of my favorite spots in Valencia!!! The food was excellent — the tapas were made of high quality ingredients (both produce and seafood) and seasoned and cooked perfectly to bring out the flavor of the ingredients. The owner (? maybe) served us with so much care — making sure our food came out at a good pace the tuna was so excellent. also loved the tomatoes, cheese, peppers, cuttlefish. the cod croquettes were so tasty and you could taste the fish and it felt so homey. can’t recommend this place enough!!

Wow… we finally got in here after 6 weeks of seeing it too busy. The food was excellent, the pulpo 🐙 was outstanding, melted in the mouth. The alcachofas, tuna & the all I pebre de anguila also amazing Service was great ❤️ this place 👍 We will be back soon…

The most unassuming little bar. Incredible food and service. We loved watching the chef cooking all of our dishes on the plancha. One of our absolute favourites in Valencia and incredibly well priced, especially given the quality!

The market has a lot of variety. The food is of top quality and the vendors are really nice. I love the stall setting and one can tell the building has been there for a very long time. I think the major things in the market are mostly meat, fish and fruit products. There are also additional stores outside the market on the side of the building

Great market. Had super sandwiches in one of the small restaurants. People buy fish from the market and bring it here to be cooked for them. I loved the idea but we were running out of time so we had some warm sandwiches. Mine had baby eels in them, one of the strangest things I’ve eaten but tasted amazing!

Reputedly, the best market in Valencia, and certainly a very well stocked one. Excellent selections of mostly local meats, fruits and vegetables and other assortments. I buy all my fresh goods here.

If you are looking for a grocery store, this isn’t it, but if you are looking for a market, this is exactly what you want! Everything is fresh and leaves nothing to be desired! Customer service at nearly every shop within the market is excellent! As someone who is not fluent in Spanish, I found it still very easy to communicate with nearly everybody in there. This is not a tourist type market like you might find in Central Madrid or other very touristy areas. This is where the locals come and it’s worth a trip if that is your interest!

We stay in Valencia (Patacona) a lot and this is our go-to market hall. They really have a great selection of meats, fruits and vegetables, cheese, olives, nuts and baked goods. Go early! The market is jumping in the morning but dies down quickly by noon with most shops closed by 1pm. I particularly like the olive seller in the first row near the east entrance. Very friendly and lets me try several types of olives before buying.

This is an excellent local market. Also a good place to practice speaking Spanish with the shopkeepers! Sells fresh seafood and meats, cured meats and cheeses, all sorts of fruit and vegetables, and bread and pastries.

A knockout paella de marisco! Super yummy, great flavor and a great portion at reasonable fare. The staff are friendly, the grub is good and made fresh to order, overall a nice humble little dig. The paella is a minimum 2 order to share and easily plenty enough grub for two adults. Support local businesses!

Only came for drinks. Got an aperol spritz, not sure how they made it but it had a strong flavour of bitters or organge liquor.. only had a few sips and the waiter just asked if I had finished when paying. We were there for dinner on Saturday night. Recommended by a ceramic shop owner close by for the best Paella in El Carmen district. The restaurant manager kindly accepted us even though we had no reservations and gave us a nice table inside the restaurant. The food was delicious and well presented. Everything on the menu looked good and whatever we ordered tasted great. Must try Valencian cocktail drink and their paella . Even the steak was delicious.

Paella was slightly raw, we got 5 plates for 6 people just put on the table together with weird uneven cutleries, no one came to take empty bottles from our table when there wasn’t enough space for plates.

We ate here for the NYE dinner. Was the best choice we ever did! They saved our NYE night I swear. We didn't make reservations for a place so we needed to find one and just went for this one. The fooooood was amaziiiiing. The price was for the whole NYE menu but they gave us more food than we could eat. The steak was simply delicious and they also gave us multiple aperitivos. They also have very good desert but there was no more space for it in the belly sadly😂

A truly classic meal here in Valencia. The salad was exceptional, with tuna and white asparagus. We also ordered mushroom / pumpkin balls for an appetizer (like a hush puppy) that was really delicious. Finally, the paella valencian (chicken, duck, rabbit , snails), that had so many flavors. A great lunch all around ! Make sure to have a reservation, as they have a limited amount of tables.

A nice place where we ate a delicious paella valenciana ( rabbit meat, green beans, beans and snails) and we drank Sangria. The stuff is friendly and treats you well. Reservation is recommended. We were lucky that they squeeze us in.

We were on a tour to learn how to properly make the traditional paella. The tour guide was perfect and the lunch with 3 starters, 2 wines and a dessert wine and 3 types of paella was simply superb. Well worth the cost and the time! Just right!

We went to El Almacén in Ruzafa on a Friday night as a group of three and were welcomed super warmly. We sat in the back patio – really stylish, relaxed vibe with a nice mix of guests. We tried a variety of dishes and honestly, everything was spot on – both in taste and presentation. Great wine selection too, and the hosts are incredibly friendly, which makes you feel at home right away. Value for money is excellent: starters, mains, dessert, coffee and wine for three people – around €200. For the quality and experience, absolutely worth it. Big compliments – a fantastic restaurant we can highly recommend!

The worst experience I ever had in Valencia! They claim to have interesting food, but apart from being very expensive, there is nothing impressive! El Almacén is a disaster as a service/ actually there is a lack of any service/. The staff is slow, aggressively rude and disrespectful to customers, but maybe that's the restaurant's policy! Avoid unless you like tourist traps. There are much better places to go then this with much better food at more reasonable prices. You're paying for the location here.

We were very dissapointed about the service… We wanted to order still water and coca cola at 18 pm. This was not possible because the waitress said ‘it was cocktail time’ and we have to drink something above 10 euros. In the very center of Valencia, hidden on the street, a vegetarian restaurant. Great fresh food, sushi rice, brown rice and quinoa, the rest of the toppings you can add yourself, whatever you want, fish, tuna, octopus, soy meat. A very large selection of sauces! Really nice local pizza place. A wide variety of flavors and pretty solid crust. They offer some tempting looking pasta as well. Good idea to make a reservation, at least on weekends.

Average experience. It's not bad, you'll eat well. But the pizza was average (not great hydration), the service was minimal, there were no table cloths, no salt.& pepper and olive oil on the table, etc. Nothing very wrong with all of that, but the price was too expensive for this sort of place.

This place is amazing. We walked in without a reservation (during Fallas!) and they had no problem seating us. The pizzas are from 5-10€ with loads of options. A bottle of house red was 12€. This was such a great experience! Tapas were delicious and great prices. The sandwiches are even better! The owner of the place is really nice, and she even told us about the history of the place/ how all of the Polaroids fit in! Will definitely be coming back out next visit to the city.

⚠️⚠️⚠️ Be careful, they are not 100% VEGAN ‼️, i was terribly sick after having had these cakes, i have dairy problems, and the cakes made me very sick 😭 ❌❌Vegan stores should consider people vegan as not a trend or luxury, this is sometimes allergy and something that might cause health problems!! For info, i ate good cakes on 2023, and there was no problem at all, but 3 years later (now) they reduced the quality and maybe using cheap products to prepare with !!

The atmosphere was pleasant, and we entered expecting a delicious vegan dinner, but we left somewhat disappointed. The boletus croquettes were fine, and the quinoa salad too, but the nachos were bland and tasteless.

Absolutely incredible all-vegan restaurant! The burgers (I tried four of them) are all incredible and the vegan calamari blew my mind with how close it was to the non-vegan version. Highly recommend to anyone!

It's an all vegan fast-food restaurant. The food tasted great, I wish the burger patties were a bit better fried, but other than that, no complaints. The burgers alone were between 6-10 euros, menu 10-14 euros (which included a drink and fries). Serivce was kind and fast. The order was out in 10 minutes or so. There was a big line during lunchtime, so be prepared to wait a bit until you get to order.

Just had an amazing time at Khambú Quart in Valencia! 🌟 The atmosphere was super welcoming and cozy. The quality of the food was top-notch, everything was fresh and delicious! 😋 The service was fantastic—attentive and friendly. The only reason I gave 4 stars for value is that some dishes were a bit on the pricier side, but overall, it was worth every penny! Highly recommend!

This was an absolute gem of a restaurant- everything was TOO delicious 🥰 Florida burger, beyond burger, onion rings, ranch dressing, nuggets, and we loved the lemonade.
