Grosvenor Fish Bar is a well-established fish and chip restaurant in Norwich, serving classic British dishes for over 90 years. Housed in a historic listed building from the 1700s, the restaurant has undergone a stylish refurbishment, blending contemporary elements with rustic designs. The menu offers traditional favorites like battered haddock with chips as well as daily specials such as Mexican spiced cod tacos.
Best fish and chips in Norwich. Located in the very city center this vintage place is a must. Very good service and the variety of delicious and large meals. Ee have tried burgers and the large portion of fish and chips were delicious. Definitely recommended

Had my first dine-in experience at Grosvenor Fish Bar and really enjoyed it. I ordered the whitebait which was absolutely delicious, while my partner had the mackerel and loved it too. One thing I did notice though they used to provide Tabasco, but now you have to buy the “Chillie Bang Bang,” which unfortunately wasn’t spicy at all. Still, the food itself, especially the whitebait, was spot on and worth coming back for. I would highly recommend anyone to come over to get their fish & chips, or probably try the whitebait you won’t be disappointed!
Coyotito D — Google review
Grosvenor Fish Bar, an assuming American style quirky chippie that serves clam burgers and fried green tomatoes so tried them. The clam burger reminds me of canned clams from the US but the patty also had other stuff which gives it a garlic bread taste. The fried green tomatoes were a bit too hard for my liking while the tomato slices were not juicy. The basement of this restaurant is a must visit.

Came here 2 and a half years ago and the flavour of the fish n chips was incredible. I decided it was the best fish n chip shop I’ve been to but unfortunately the last 2 times I’ve been all of the food has been extremely bland.
Oliver D — Google review
DISAPPOINTED! I used to come here years and years ago when it was ran by a different owner. That owner made this place the best Fish and Chips place on planet earth. Now it’s just NOT the same. Very disappointed ☹️ There used to be all kinds of free sauces, chilli powder salt, like you could tell they wanted everyone to have a good experience. Everything used to be perfect. Now it’s nothing but disappointment. I won’t be coming back here but I’ll be going to the chip shop in the market instead. Truly disappointed as this used to be my favourite place to have fish and chips. Also chilli con chips is terrible. Go to any other place and you’ll get amazing meaty chili con chips, here their default is veggie. So idk you could make it at home better than this. Please to better then maybe you’d get more people coming here. This place used to be impossible to get a seat it was that good. Now it’s just sad honestly sad. Really wished it was like how it was before💔
Angelina C — Google review
We're local pensioners and have often passed the shop, packed out with customers as rule. Out of our budget and has been for years, sadly. Except on very special occasions. Still, when our son and family popped up from London and wanted to spare me cooking, I suggested good old fish and chips and quite naturally chose the one that I had seen was very popular. It wasn't special though. The cod wasn't flaky and was more like frozen reformed, apart from the skin. No bones and soggy. The batter oozed cooking oil. So, together brought back memories of a pretty typical corner shop that rarely changed its oil and set the temperature high. The chips were plentiful but not left in long enough, or the oil hot enough. So not crispy on the outside. A lot of chip shards rather than full size chips. Good old fish and chips indeed. Shame. No comparison to the Sheffield fish and chips we had at Christmas. With the price of cod and chips so high, we'll wait until Sheffield at Christmas once more. Too expensive to try the other local chippies. Sad. We had to reheat them as the delivery guy had another order to pick up elsewhere before coming to us. I didn't know they did that. Might have been far better eaten in the shop. Not the chippies fault of course.
Pamela K — Google review
A delicious English fish and chips. The batter is crunchy and not so oily which paired well with the cod fish. Haddock taste is stronger and the meat is harder. A generous plate of chips can share 2 person. The fried tiger prawn is good too. Love the ingredients which are fresh catches. Recommend the mushy peas for the side. The basement seating place is cooler but it’s oily everywhere which make us uncomfortable.
Edo L — Google review
Grosvenor Fish Bar truly lives up to its reputation – it probably serves the best fish & chips in the city, or at the very least, it’s definitely one of the most highly rated spots for a reason. The fish is crispy, the chips perfectly cooked, and everything tastes incredibly fresh. Despite a long line of delivery drivers picking up orders, the service was impressively fast and efficient. The staff were friendly and kept everything moving smoothly, which made the wait feel minimal. I also tried the sea bass roll – a delicious surprise! Fresh, flavorful, and a nice change from the usual options. Prices are a bit higher than the market stalls nearby, but the quality more than justifies it. If you’re looking for a proper fish & chips experience in Norwich, this is the place to go.

Nestled in the historic Royal Arcade of Norwich, Yalm Food Hall is a vibrant culinary destination that celebrates local chefs and diverse global flavors. With its name derived from a Norfolk term meaning 'to eat hungrily,' this food hall invites guests to indulge in an array of delicious offerings. Spanning two floors within a stunning Victorian art nouveau setting, Yalm features six unique kitchens and three bars, ensuring there's something for everyone—whether you're craving brunch, lunch, or dinner.
I went for a pre theatee dinner with my niece. We had time to kill so pondered over each menu in detail. Ordered 2 soft drinks which took over half an hour to come...but we were having a great time and in no rush. We did a circuit before we sat down to look at the menus in person and peruse the kitchens. She is a veggie so was torn between Mexican and Thai but eventually chose a tofu massaman curry with sticky rice and optional cashews from Thai Delish. I also went Thai but from a different vendor. I went for the crispy pork belly ramen from NXXDS. Wow. Very impressed with the food for three reasons. 1. It didnt take that long to come (compared to the drinks). 2. It also arrived piping hot and pretty much at the same time - we had already made a pact to start if one came before the other, but hardly needed to! 3. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We then treated ourselves to a s'more from On The Bone. Which we shared as super full from dinner. Tbh it was huge and also delicious - so glad we were sensible. I will 100% be back. I literally could have eaten things from every menu. I also had a good look around and everyone's plates looked lovely..so looking forward to coming back. It was noisy which i didnt mind...but certainly a fun and lively atmosphere...maybe not a place for a heart to heart though 😆 plus it gets busy!

Lovely spot to go with the whole Family. Several food options to choose from, great cocktails and good variety of beer and non-alcoholic beverages. Had DJ playing in the arcade, lots of seating. We changed seats for every course as you can order from the app and it gets delivered to your table.

Me and my partner went for dinner and it was our first time visiting and it beat my expectations! The food was so good would 100% recommend! I ordered the Thai Green beef curry and my partner ordered the Thai Panang curry (both with rice). It’s worth mentioning that we went on a Saturday night at 7:30 (understanding this is the most busiest period for the food industry) with no reservation and we got a seat pretty much immediately and got our food within 25 minutes! Portion size was great Staff were really helpful and super speedy! Price, in the slight more on the expensive side (but worth it) As someone with a severe egg and nut allergy, I found it really easy to order as the app tells you simply what allergens are in the dish. Drinks and cocktails are fairly prices and really good too! The food options we’re plentiful too :)

YALM is always a favourite when dining with the kids due to the sheer amount of options. Went with Nachos and loaded hash browns from Baha, chicken wings from On The Bone and a Nutella pizza from Eric’s. Finished off with baby pancakes from Christophe’s. Everything arrived quickly and piping hot. Ordering system was clear and easy to use as always. Dining hall was a little noisy on this particular visit and it was hard to have a conversation between 4 of us. There are plenty of reasonably priced options and some higher priced options for those who fancy a treat. Dining hall was clean with tables cleared really quickly.
Harriett S — Google review
Excellent ‘food hall’ style offering with a wide range of food and drink. Huge selection (8+) main meal offerings, from burgers, to Thai, Mexican, steak and most things in between. Dessert/pastry for the sweet of tooth and great on-tap beer/ales and cider. Ample eating, with in-app ordering. Scan the WR code on the table and await your food and drink. Tap water available for free. Tables cleared regularly and staff helpful. All food (ordered from 3 different places) came within 15 mins. Would recommend and will be going back again to try some other food.

I like the setting and the concept of different eateries under 1 roof. Difficult to rate the food quality. I had a Ramen which was excellent, but my wife had a pizza that was undercooked.

The Assembly House is a stunning Georgian Grade listed mansion in Norwich, serving as a versatile venue for various events and an essential part of the city's cultural scene. As part of the Norwich 12 initiative, it contributes to the city's heritage attractions. The house hosts visual and performing arts events and features a restaurant offering classic British dishes in an elegant setting. Visitors can also enjoy afternoon tea in this historic building, which has been popular since the 19th century.
Myself and family (two adults, two under 12s) visited for Halloween afternoon tea this year after attending an Alice In Wonderful themed afternoon tea previously and loving it. We had equally as much fun this time. The theming of the food is so much fun. The food is so beautiful to look at but also delicious! Our favourites were the mini cheese toasties and the scary macaroons with eyes! Perfect for little ones even though it’s a formal setting, our kids absolutely loved it as it was their first afternoon tea! Service was brilliant, very professional and polite. Looking forward to seeing the upcoming themes and attending our next afternoon tea as a family!
Rebecca C — Google review
This was my first time visiting the assembly house Norwich. I was VERY excited to go with a few of my friends to celebrate her engagement, however a few things i witnessed i found very disturbing. The afternoon tea was NOT up to standard, the only way i could describe it would be like someone farted on it before bringing it out to us. on a serious note for the price i would rather have spend the money in aldi, lidl or any other supermarket and make it myself. i appreciate the presentation however it tasted like sawdust there was 0 flavour in anything. there was i would say a large group with me 8-10 people we racked up QUITE a bill and left feeling hungry as the food was inedible. in hindsight we should have gone to mcdonald’s. I felt like i was in a void where they had removed our 5 senses. the only thing comparable in taste is if i had a chunk of road on my plate. the building and wait staff are both great however a serious menu change needs to happen before i return. although i did hear staff say behind the wall that they think the cakes taste like they are cr an all inclusive, not sure if it’s this is a positive or not. quick tip: dressing up the afternoon tea doesn’t make it taste good! kind regards Emma Smith

Held my cousins surprise baby shower at The Assembly House yesterday, and what an amazing experience from start to finish! Daisy on the events team was always to hand guiding me through the process. Payments and any queries I may have had were handled swiftly and effortlessly. A big thank you to her! The room was beautiful, the perfect size and had such an elegant atmosphere. The afternoon tea was delightful, delicious warm scones, gorgeous cakes and plenty of them! A very special thank you to Kyle, he was outstanding! From helping us blow up balloons, offering drinks or anything we would need. Not overbearing, just simply perfect timings throughout. (My glass was never empty!) He is a real credit to the team and we were very lucky to have been served by him. To conclude, if I could give 6 stars I would! Thank you again, Assembly House for giving my cousin the perfect baby shower.

My wife and I had a wonderful afternoon tea at The Assembly House. We had the Bramble and Bonfire Afternoon Tea which was on offer during our visit. The price per person was £32.50 - although on the more expensive side, the quality of food and drink was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend the Norfolk Lavender tea (similar to Earl Grey). Service was excellent. Bathrooms could do with a tidy up. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We went to see candlelight presentation of the music of Hans Zimmerman. Excellent performance, truly goosebumps at times. The venue was perfect and easy to get to, we used public transport but car parks are nearby. The venue had a bar too, should you want a drink. The players were marvellous, the music was superb all played with many candles surrounding the players. I suspect it was the listening to music with the comforting light of candles that brought us all together and had a great night.

I attended a wedding reception and unfortunately cut my foot on glass, I hasten to add, it was my fault as I was barefoot. The members of staff Casey and Jamie were Brilliant in making sure I was taken care of, alongside my cousin's sister in law. They stayed with me through the ordeal and helped me through this awful, embarrassing, painful experience. Thankyou so much for your kindness, patience. They went beyond their remit, and I'm so grateful! Beforehand I was having a wonderful time celebrating my cousin's marriage and celebrating with All my family. Great venue, fabulous food, wonderful staff! I wouldn't hesitate, in recommending this beautiful place to anyone wishing for an amazing celebratory venue enough! Beyond expectations ❤️

We recently celebrated our parents’ 60th wedding anniversary at The Assembly House, and it was the perfect venue for such a special occasion. From the very beginning, Daisy was outstanding in handling the arrangements — professional, responsive, and always helpful in making sure every detail was in place. On the day itself, Andrew looked after us with such care and attention. He was thoughtful, attentive, and ensured everything ran smoothly, which made the whole celebration stress-free and truly enjoyable. The food, atmosphere, and service were all first-class, and many of our guests commented on how wonderful the experience was. We are so grateful to Daisy, Andrew, and the whole team at The Assembly House for helping us create lasting memories. Highly recommended for anyone planning a celebration or special event.

Roger Hickman's Restaurant, located in Norwich, has gained a stellar reputation since its opening in 2010. Despite being relatively new, it has been awarded three AA Rosettes and is highly regarded by both locals and critics. The restaurant offers modern British cuisine with a focus on high-quality produce, featuring dishes like crab salad with cucumber and avocado, as well as Norfolk quail leg and breast served with celeriac and apple.
3rd visit to RH for my friend, 1st for me, RH did not disappoint again. We had the premium tasting menu. Each course a delight to the taste buds, pure bliss. Our waiter was very knowledgeable in explaining each course, very friendly and polite.

Food - see the comments on each photo. We enjoyed the meal overall, but not so sure if it is meeting the Michelin standard only based on our experience tonight. Value for money - we visited on a Saturday night. I'd recommend trying it on weekdays eve or lunch. Service - They were very nice & hard working but needed to be trained in different areas, especially in a Michelin restaurant. The young lady who served us unfortunately didn't know how to serve wine, and forgot our water. We are supposed to have the coffee & Petit four in our premium tasting menu, but she told us it's a supplement & costs extra (that's indeed applied to the five course menu). She seems not familiar with the menu. Thanks for the great Saturday eve and all the very best to RH's restaurant.

The food was brilliant. We both had the 7 course and a premium wine flight. Service was very good and the entire evening was fantastic. Staff were attentive while still giving you enough space to chat and enjoy the evening. Never made to feel out of place or that we didn't know enough to appreciate the food or wine.

My partner and I went here for lunch after a stressful morning and decided to go for the 3 courses. It did not disappoint at all. First of all, it's a nice clean restaurant. The staff are lovely and make you feel welcome as soon as you come through the door. We were a little late for our booking but they didn't mind. It had a real decent list of drinks, especially wines, but we decided to go with a craft ale. We recieved an amazing amusebouche (complimentary pre-starter) and freshly baked bread whilst we waited for our starters. It wasn't too long before the starters arrived. All the food was great, we had a cheese board to share which they kindly brought out to us on separate plates. We decided to have a coffee to top it off at the end, which came with delightful little chocolates. The service was brilliant. Our waiter Richard was polite and attentive and explained what was in each dish with a lot of detail. A true fine dining experience. Thanks to Richard and the team! Can't wait to go back

Totally amazing restaurant, quite possibly the best meal I've ever had. Everything was presented and cooked to perfection. The quality was second to none, the service was incredible and the information about each dish was first class. It is without doubt the place to go and I'm looking forward to going back again.

Amazing food and superb service. We done the taster menu which is well worth it. Seems pricey until you have been and experienced how good it is. Can't fault it at all. Can't wait to go back again.
Nick C — Google review
Small, intimate restaurant in a lovely part of Norwich. Menu was simple, and the food not overly fussy. We had the 3 course lunch for £30, and left feeling the right level of full. Highlight was the pork belly, puy lentils that came with the tortellini and the Bakewell tart. Low point was the mushroom tortellini which was too raw and not enough depth of flavour. Staff were friendly and very attentive.

Excellent service, amazing food. Definately 5 out of 5. Instead of the tasting menu, we decided to go for ala carte, 1 starter and 3 main for everyone. Love it ❤️

The Waffle House is a long-standing Belgian waffle restaurant located in an 18th-century building, known for its focus on organic produce. Established in Norwich in 1978, it has become a beloved fixture in the city's food scene. The restaurant offers a wide variety of sweet and savory waffles, including seasonal specials and unique toppings.
We had our office Christmas meal here and it was fabulous. Food was amazing and highly recommend a visit. Beautifully decorated room upstairs and the service was excellent. Had seabass for main & the Christmas pudding waffle for dessert. I can honestly say the gingerbread ice-cream was the best thing ever. The whole meal was delicious and we had a lovely festive evening 🎄 thank you 😊

I held my Daughters baby shower in the lovely large room upstairs at The Waffle house on Sunday, around 30 ladies. The owner was so helpful when making the arrangements and the room was set out beautifully. we were able to set up balloons and decorations so the room looked beautiful. we all ordered food some savoury some sweet that all arrived at roughly the same time. It was all very nice and generous portions, I had the salmon form the specials list which was amazing and the Mummy to be had Bang Bang Chicken that she thoroughly enjoyed. The banana waffles looked amazing I will have that next time. We had the booking from 12pm to 3 pm as they had another booking at 3pm, which flew by we could have done with an extra 30 minutes but staff were very patient with us while we said our goodbyes. We were allowed to take a celebration cake but we were so full from our food that everyone took a slice home. Everyone has commented how much they enjoyed the event and especially the food. I had no idea how much it would cost and was more than happy with the cost of everything at the end, It was worth every penny. Thanks to all the staff at The Waffle House for a Baby Shower that we will always remember xxx

This was such a good find! My partner and I were on a hunt for pudding only place to get something sweet after having dinner elsewhere, and Norwich seems to have a severe lack of such places. Fear not, The Waffle House is exactly it. The waffles were delicious and the staff friendly and accommodating. I ordered quite an experimental waffle, and I'm not sure I would want it again, but I would definitely want to come back here to try more stuff off the menu!
Nailya S — Google review
4 of us popped in for breakfast, if you are wondering as well as a wide range of waffles, they also do a full English. So the 4 of us all went for waffles, 1. Banana waffle + Pumpkin spiced Latte 2. Stacked Haloumi waffle and latte 3. Dutch apple waffle and spiced pumpkin latte 4. Cherry Bakewell waffle + scoop of ice cream (pictured) and toffee apple milk shake. Arrival Greeted warmly on arrival and showed to table by a very polite and friendly young lady. A bottle of table water was provided Ambience The restaurant was very clean and reasonably busy, tables were nicely separated, they really haven’t squeezed in as many diners as they can, this makes it very pleasant. Apparently Hugh Jackman is a regular visitor. Service The waitress was simply excellent, very friendly and seems to enjoy her work, she’s a real credit to the establishment. Food Simply excellent and much bigger portions than expected. Very delicious and we all scoffed the lot down. Cost came to £53, no service fee. So we added on £7. As a very small recognition of the excellent service. Overall I was extremely surprised, as it was not my first choice but others wanted to go, I am sure we will return. Score 10/10

I had a waffle topped with Oriental vegetable stir-fry, featuring toasted cashews, lemongrass, ginger, fresh chili, sesame seeds, and coriander for lunch today, all for a reasonable £12.45. As I was driving by, I noticed some empty seats and parking space, so I decided to give it a try. It had been quite a while since my last visit to this popular restaurant. The staff were polite and attentive, and my meal arrived quickly. While I enjoyed the dish, it was a bit on the light side for my large appetite. I would have indulged in one of their delicious sweet waffle desserts if I hadn’t been watching my sugar levels. Hopefully, next time I’ll take the plunge and go all out!😛

Haven't been in years but still a Norwich faithful. Lovely staff, quite quick service, having gone vegetarian good to see reasonable choices and as part of Norwich Cocktail Week a beautiful Gooseberry Garden Fiz – St Giles Signature Gin, red gooseberry & elderflower Norfolk cordial, lime juice, soda and little flowers in an ice cube!

Restaurant
Benoli is a cozy Italian restaurant located at the bottom of Timber Hill in Norwich. The independently owned trattoria offers a warm and inviting atmosphere across its three levels. Guests can savor an ever-changing traditional Italian menu featuring pasta, meat, and fish dishes crafted with high-quality local ingredients.
Fabulous pasta, the carpaccio was amazing and such a generous portion. All the pasta dishes were amazing. We sampled the lamb shoulder, the seafood bisque and the carbonara ravioli. Really nice wine list from small italian vineyards . Would defo recommend

What a find, we were a last minute walk-in on a Saturday night and they could fit us in! So happy they could! My starter of fig and burrata with a honey and rosemary cake was so delicately flavoured but packed with freshness I slowed down my pace to savour every bite! The cake was soft in the middle and chewy around the sides because of the honey, it was extraordinary! Same to be said of the simple but amazing main; scallop pasta. I could taste each individual flavour and the scallops melted in my mouth. Our new favorite date night restaurant for sure! Service was perfection too!

Just sensational. From start to finish. I wish the wine had a more affordable option as it almost doubled the price of our meal despite how nice it tasted. It would stop me from coming more regularly.

Called on for lunch on a Sunday while a brief stop in Norwich on route back from the coast. Two very good pasta dishes with both the sauce and pasta cooked very well with a good balance and proportion. Service was prompt and efficient, would recommend.

A standout Italian in Norwich First time visiting Norwich and we had lunch at Benoli — what a fantastic experience! We started with the 24-month parmesan croquettes, which were perfectly crispy and packed with flavour. As antipasti, we shared the lardo black pudding with apple, celeriac, and pancetta — easily the best black pudding dish I’ve had in a long time: beautifully balanced, rich in umami, and incredibly tasty. The beef carpaccio was another highlight, with all the flavours coming together like they were made for each other. For pasta, we shared the carbonara and the tagliolini with shellfish bisque. Both featured excellent handmade pasta with great texture and strong flavour. That said, there were a couple of elements missing that could have really brought the pasta dishes to the next level — but they were still well above average. All in all, Benoli stands out as one of the best Italians I’ve visited recently — and that includes places in Cambridge and London. If you're in Norwich and craving quality Italian food, I highly recommend stopping by Benoli.

I'd been wanting to visit Benoli for some time and booked lunch for mine and my friends joint 50th Birthdays. The welcome was warm and the tables are nicely spread out. Light music in the background. We tried the white sauvignon which was great. Smooth and very easy drinking. The garlic brioche was delicious. The starters were amazing. Hake Kiev for me and black pudding for my friend. The fish was cooked to perfection. The black pudding dish was outstanding.. plenty of earthy black pudding, crunchy and creamy celeriac, salty lardo.. pinenuts and sweet raisin sauce. .. fantastic dish. Certainly recommend it. Unfortunately the mains were a let down. Lamb shoulder ragu. Great pasta, but the dish was far too salty for both of us and bitter strong with garlic. We couldn't taste the lamb. We did both eat it as were hungry but I wouldn't order it again I'm afraid. As with each dish we were asked if everything was OK and I was honest and my feedback was listened to and respected which was great. We both had dessert of tiramisu.. it was delicious.. crunchy, rich, creamy, chocolatey and in the centre a hit of coffee. I really enjoyed it and it was lovely of the staff to also give us a sorbet and happy birthday dish on the house. We were also refunded the dessert on the basis of our experience with the main dish which wasn't expected but was really lovely of them. With tip it £70 each. The service was excellent and the starters and desserts perfect. I do recommend and would come back but would chose a different main course. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

We were 5 for lunch and ordered 2 starters to share and 1 main each. Incredible Italian food - everything well prepared, delicious and large portions. More than enough food for everyone (we didn’t even had space for dessert). As starters: Burrata, fig, rocket & almond pesto, honey focaccia and Beef carpaccio. As mains: - (1) Parmesan Agnolotti, Tuscan summer truffle - (3) Tagliolini, shellfish bisque, sea herbs, basil & bottarga - (1) Ondine, lamb shoulder ragu, rosemary pangrattato & salted ricotta Very nice environment, elegant and well decorated. Staff were nice and attentive. They easily accommodate us for Sunday lunch however I recommend to book in advance.

Farmyard Restaurant, located on St Benedict's Street in Norwich, is a standout dining spot known for its minimalist bistro setting and top-notch culinary experience. Run by Andrew Jones and Hannah Springham, the restaurant embraces a 'bistronomy' style that combines the relaxed atmosphere of a bistro with the flavors of fine dining. The menu features classic meat, fish, and vegetables cooked over charcoal to enhance their taste, with dishes changing according to the season.
We were impressed. We enjoyed the food. It was obvious the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. We ordered from the set menu, 3 courses for £30pp. I had the ham hock terrine and my wife the French onion soup to start, we both enjoyed these. We had the duck for main, which was cooked perfectly, it fell apart in the mouth. We also shared some chips, they were very good. For dessert we had the dark chocolate and amaretto delice, this was amazing. The service was excellent and the atmosphere quiet and calm. Food is expensive here, but portion sizes are good and food quality is to a good standard. We would recommend.
Callum N — Google review
Really good food and a groovy place. Stopped here for some lunch and would recommend a visit. Only reason atmosphere is a 4 is because we went on a weekday and it was quite quiet in there. We got the set lunch menu. 1 with Gnocchi for the main which was delicious and fresh, the other with a fish cake which was also very nice. They have the lunch portion sizes down to a T as we left feeling satisfied but not too full that we needed an afternoon nap.

We chose Farmyard for one of our special meal, and it was certainly the right choice! We had the 3 course set menu, everything was delicious, great flavours and well balanced together Lovely atmosphere and great service Highly recommended!!

A quiet lunchtime service on a Tuesday, but attentive enough to make the meal a pleasure. Food was good, with great local ingredients and good flavours. Amazing artwork on the wall by local and Scrawl Collective member, Will Barras too, which makes the establishment a visual delight too. Something many establishments cannot claim. A definite recommend, should you be in the vicinity.
Vincent R — Google review
First visit to the Farmyard which was lovely, the wine we selected was excellent and we went for the rib of beef to share. I ordered medium rare but my wife struggled so we asked to cook her steak a little bit more which was no trouble. Only criticism would be that in addition to the massive rib of steak was a small bowl of chips to share between two. Considering the dish to share was £80, a small bowl of chips between two was a bit stingy. All said, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
David R — Google review
Amazing experience. The food is fantastic from the ideas to the plating to the flavours. The chocolate bar didn't fail to live up to it's name. If I had one suggestion, that would be to be more descriptive in the menu of where the ingredients come from for each dish. For a restaurant that boasts about local ingredients, it's nice to know more about exactly that. We loved the whole experience though.
Ross G — Google review
Visited for the first time with family and friends. The food was exceptional, good size portion for me, incredible taste and presentation! The service quite relaxed, not disturbing you every 5 minutes to check in with you. We were amongst first clients, the service seemed a bit slow, but it did not really bothered me. They have a good variaty of beverage. The atmosphere at the table was lovely, but music too loud and the style playing didn't really fit in (club style music) which personally I didn't mind, but I believe a jazz or somthing smooth would have been in better sync with the place. The chairs not too comfortable, and nowhere to put your coats (I had a long coat and the chairs are low). Some degree of child friendliness, but not really suitable for toddlers, very few options of meals @dinner time (in our case), mine had a sandwich and other bits brought from home. However, they have baby highchairs. Overall, I believe it was a nice experience and I would gladly visit again!

My favorite Japanese restaurant in Norwich, offering authentic Japanese cuisine. However, I have to say it's more expensive and the food is less. The side dish in lunch bento is gone. The portion of seafood tempura is also smaller and with no seaweed Chikuwa. Last picture is the same dish I had a year ago.

Super lovely experience at Shiki! I’m vegan and went with non vegan friends and was pleasantly surprised by the vegan options ! The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and calm. This all-day hangout is known for its decadent Sunday brunches featuring locally sourced ingredients, including vegan platters and lamb shawarma. The venue exudes a welcoming vibe with friendly service and quality food, serving traditional full English breakfasts on Sundays.
Trendy little cafe serving tasty food. The staff are always friendly. It’s a Perfect place to chill, read and catch up. I would highly recommend the franks platter (bread, olives and hummus) and a homemade cucumber and elderflower cordial.

Now that Franks has outside seating, both at the front and in the courtyard at the rear, it is a fab place to enjoy in the summer as well as the colder days. We had the spiced avocado with Chimichuro & feta on sourdough toast, some with poached egg, we also had asparagus with smoked salmon on sourdough, with iced coffee, americano and tea. All was great, the poached egg wasn't runny but was close, everything else was amazing. The service was fab, friendly and engaging without being intrusive.

Was pleasantly surprised on entering. Absolutely beautiful interior, cosy, well decorated. The staff were helpful and polite and catered to a slight change in our order. Plenty of room to sit in the downstairs and upstairs rooms and the courtyard. The food a drink was very good quality for what we paid. Would definitely go there again on a date night with my husband.

This place is not too be missed! Don't be fooled by the limited space when you look through the window, there are plenty of spaces at the back. For the warmer weather there is a small courtyard too. I started wondering why everybody was ever so nice in Frank’s bar. It sounded suspicious as it was literally everyone, not only the stuff but all the customers as well. Went here for a double date after my partner had been recommending it for a good while, the atmosphere was very charming, the food tasted amazing, there was lots to choose from on the menu and the staff were very polite. While the drinks were slightly expensive this was not much of an issue as the taste, quality and portion sizes 100% made up for any shortcomings. I would definitely recommend here for dates or larger groups looking to share food and get a good conversation in.

I visited this restaurant and had an enjoyable experience. The ambiance set a friendly tone for the meal, and the courses flowed seamlessly. We started with the dim sum platter that offered a pleasing selection of flavors and textures. The mains were solid and very tasty; my plate was piled high with noodles... Certainly no complaints there! For dessert we opted for the custard bao (a dish we hadn't tried before), which featured a wonderfully sweet, rich, and creamy center. While the prices were on the higher side, the food was great and the staff were attentive and friendly, would recommend.

This is one of my most favourite places to eat out. It is a family run business, and the service is al fast and friendly and very attentive. It's not the cheapest of places to visit, but if you come as a group, there would be enough to share around and make it cheaper, and doggy bags are not a problem. That said, the drinks are a little pricey, but all in all, we were happy with both food and bill.

Flea & Street Markets
Norwich Market is a historic and spacious outdoor marketplace that has been a city institution for many years. It features diverse food, art, and craft vendors, making it one of the largest and longest-running open-air markets in the country. The market has recently experienced a street food reawakening, offering a variety of international cuisines such as empanadas, churros, New York-style sandwiches, fusion noodles, fish and chips, and bacon butties.
Our first time visiting and we were not disappointed! Unfortunately a lot of the stalls were closed due to horrendous weather over the weekend, but it didn’t dampen the experience. The majority of the indoor stalls were still trading, and we had a browse and purchased a few lovely items. Will definitely be returning in the summer for the full experience!

Well laid out on a tight grid to make the most of the space in this central square. It's well worth spending time meandering through the small stalls. Many of the stallholders are warm and friendly without pressuring you into parting with your cash.

Easy to find, some great food stalls and choice of others, when we visited on a Saturday. Had to queue for food, usually a good sign that it is popular. Was delicious, we had Chinese. £7.50 for larger dish, which we shared. £6.50 for regular size. Great value for very tasty, freshly cooked food. When we went back during the week, not half as many stalls open. We visited end of September. But we did have the Chinese again!

We visited Saporita today with my husband and our dog and were so impressed! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were lovely — especially the girl who served us, who had a great smile and looked genuinely happy to be there. We each had a delicious panini — the Bologna panini was especially fresh and packed with flavour. Each one came with a small side salad and fries, which made for a really satisfying meal. We also picked up a lemon tart and some Italian biscuits to take home — both were fresh and full of authentic flavour. A fantastic spot for a casual, high-quality bite.

We came here for a quick hot chocolate and cake before a show tonight and I really liked the dim atmosphere with these lights. I tried their cheesecake and it was so delicious, creamy and cheesy. Came here for valentines day as I had a gift card. They had a great variety of cakes and pastries on the counter as well as lots of drinks. To my understanding they also have a dessert tasting menu but we didn't try this. We got 2 drinks (iced latte and classic hot choc) and 3 bakes (raspberry and white chocolate blonde, salted caramel brownie, smores thing) for £21 it was all delicious and very filling as far as desert goes. We sat in and the seating and decorations were lovely. They even had read roses out on the tables which I thought was such a nice touch. The staff were also lovely and very welcoming. I have been here before and I really like their desserts. We tried the cheese cake and really liked it. Ice cream is served with the cakes and it's not that sweet, so it pairs really nicely. The food itself was really good as always. However, we didn't have a nice experience with the staff. The person behind the counter was very rude. When we came in, they were cleaning around and didn't take notice of us for a bit. When we helped ourselves to our seats the person was very impatient with us ordering and was not very helpful. It felt like they rather just have us leave. It's not nice to feel like you are not welcome at a place. It's not like we went in an odd hour or we're being difficult. I do like their desserts but I don't think I would go there again because of the experience we had.

We came in for coffee and cake after having the most amazing sandwich next door. We had a selection of cakes and each one was lovely. Probably a bit greedy but the quality of cakes meant that it wasn’t sickly, would highly recommend the stout chocolate as it was lovely and chocolaty but not too sweet. Absolutely one of the best cake shops in the world, not just Norwich.

A modern little cafe/ dessert bar to sit in and enjoy. Friendly staff and lovely owners and tons of cakes and indulgent desserts that are all unique and deliciously perfect. I had the snickers which was so good and beautifully presented, a generous portion and taking all the elements of a snickers onto a plated dessert and not bad prices. Also have had their cakes which are moist and flavourful. I would put this to the top of my list of cafes to come to if you have a sweet tooth or just want a delicious home-made treat.

having a party upstairs and I have booked bowling around 8 for 9:20 had no problems at the desk even though I am 13 booking it at 9:20 but lady goes through with it anyway I have just been pulled aside by the same lady saying we have had to cancel your booking because no kids are allowed down past 9:00 really poor customer service no sign up either but other than that horrible experience I’m having an alright time and the drinks seem well priced

We hired the upstairs karaoke room as a student society from the UEA and we had a fantastic night: the venue was the perfect size for the large group of us, the karaoke system was properly designed and included a wide range of songs- unlike what some other venues offer in Norwich, the student discounts that they offered were enjoyed by our members, and the bar kept our society hydrated and excited! Moreover, the staff on duty that night, Freya and Arthur, were incredible at their jobs and friendly too! Thank you The Bowling House! We had a great night🤘

I had my 40th birthday party there and I can't thank the staff enough. They were all so helpful even in the insane heat we had that day! Also the bar manager was so kind and helpful helping me pick cocktails out for my party and making a special Hello Kitty cocktail for me. I can't rate this place enough. Great venue, amazing staff and delicious food and drink! Thank you for making my 40th so special, and I'm glad you liked the cat ears 😹

Bowling House undoubtedly deserves a 5-star review. The staff, whose names I regrettably didn't ask for, were exceptional hosts throughout our visit. The Bowling House staff which we’ll call the “awesome duo” went above and beyond, mastering a trifecta of entertainment. From the enjoyable and laid-back bowling experience to the inviting atmosphere and brace yourself for this—the absolutely sensational food! My initial expectation was smaller portions so I stupidly ordered extra, but lo and behold, the generous platefuls left us asking for takeaway boxes 😂 The nachos were beyond description—simply cracking “chef's kiss” The burgers were expertly crafted and tasted far better than I’ve had for a while a real treat for this chonky boi’s taste buds (I know my burgers😄) Every part of our experience was impeccably handled, making our night an incredibly enjoyable one. You guys smashed it so heres an extra five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ and a fancy extra sixth one 🌟 for the chap that knows how to make ahold cocktail!

A fun experience and great food! I feel two things could help improve the experience further. 1. Bowling screens... if the current bowler's name and score could be made larger, those with sight impairment could see their name from the seating area. 2. The slope leading to the lanes (passing the bar) needs a touch more light.

I should say the food here is not too bad considering there is only one person in the Kitchen! I think he did great!!! It was fun to be with everyone for bowling too!

Amaretto Delicatessen is a charming spot in Norwich that showcases an impressive selection of high-quality artisan ingredients from Britain, Italy, and Spain. Perfect for lunch on the go, it features a delightful array of hot and cold meals like beef noodles, smoked haddock potato bake, and vegetable curry. Their gourmet sandwiches and generous pizza slices are also crowd-pleasers.
Best pizza ever! Great place to buy fresh delicious food. From pizza to pastas, sandwiches and cakes. They also do student discount simply show your student ID. Always love getting the pepperoni giant pizza slice. They also do the best lamb samosa! Great little area to sit outside the window. 100% wound recommend!

Not much food left as near the end of day, such a shame! However, what I did order was very good. Will need to come back in the morning or lunchtime. Nice staff serving.

My everyday go-to lunch spot in Norwich. I love their salads, samosas, and wraps. They always offer a wide variety of vegan options that can satisfy people of all age groups. The friendly servers there never fail to provide service with a smile. It's budget-friendly, offers healthy choices, provides student discounts, serves freshly prepared food, has the best staff—what more could you ask for? 💚😍

A delightfully authentic Italian deli in the centre of Norwich. I treated myself to a feast for lunch which included pizza slices, a sausage roll, and the best of all: a focaccia with olives, pesto and tomato. Absolutely top-notch food, and the look and feel of the place is also something to write home about. Highly recommended!

I'm a student and come here often. The staff are super friendly and the food is really great and the price is really great too. Its a must visit place for anyone looking for a lunch.

This is a rather belated review, I’m afraid, owing to a rather unfortunate accident - nothing at all to do with Amaretto Delicatessen!!! Please note that I am not reviewing an in-house experience per se, but a catering one. Ameretto’s was a good choice, and from the get-go, they were great. They were wiling to cater for a smaller number of guests; emailed responses to enquiries were always personable, helpful, and offered flexibility; the customer service was excellent throughout; and, importantly, the food was lovely! We went for the Ameretto Buffet - mixed cheeses, mixed salamis and hams, olives, crackers, Italian focaccia, fruit etc - all of which were very well received by our guests! The salamis and hams, cheeses, and olives were varied and in generous portions…and the assorted fruit plate - melons, kiwi, grapes etc - was lovely and very atractively presented. Instead of the assorted cakes, I ordered a whole cheesecake (on the personal recommendation of one of the very lovely staff members!). Yet another good choice for it was delicious! Tip: best when not just out of the fridge! A slight miscommunication became apparent upon collection, but it was sorted out in the blink of an eye, absolutely effortlessly! So in addition to being able to recommend them for the buffet they supplied, I can genuinely compliment them highly on their fabulous customer service! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I should also add here that on every occasion I visit the store, - which is often, for olives!! - the staff are consistently delightful, and therefore it is always a pleasure to visit! Would I do anything differently for a future event? Yes! I would ensure I got myself to the olive counter in person PRIOR to order, to sample their every variety. Why? Because I have since discovered my favourites, and I’d have been sure to have ordered only those varieties for the event! Selfish? Perhaps!

Stumbled across this deli whilst looking for a quick breakfast stop. Really authentic, rustic with amazing food at ridiculously low prices. The quality and choice of food is without exception, first class. We sat outside watching the world go pass with a coffee and delicious croissant, plus a bag of amazing food for later. Staff very friendly and obliging. Well worth a visit.

Ameretto Delicatessen has secured its spot as my favorite quick lunch spot in the city. The authenticity and warmth of the place are unparalleled. We enjoyed a delightful spread, including a flavorsome focaccia, delectable pesto pasta, and a heavenly cheesecake for dessert. Faultless in every aspect, I wholeheartedly recommend Ameretto Delicatessen to anyone strolling through the city.

Nestled within the vibrant Norwich Market, Cocina Mia stands out as a delightful gem for food lovers seeking authentic Chilean cuisine. This bustling stall offers a taste of South America with its mouthwatering empanadas filled with chicken and chorizo, alongside fresh ensaladas and enticing daily lunch specials. The menu caters to various dietary preferences, featuring vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options that ensure everyone can indulge in these flavorful dishes.
Cocina Mia is everything you'd want in the full package of authentic Chilean street food. Your greeted with a warm welcome and plenty of options. You'd be foolish not to choose the full meal because the salad and the variety of accompaniments is astonishing! The way in which the flavours compliment one another and almost dance together whilst ensuring none of them dominate is special. It's all cleverly done, really well considered and thought out, packaged & presented beautifully and served with a smile. Can't recommend it highly enough

I was excited to eat here, reading all the great reviews. But sadly I can't say I was impressed at paying £9 for this (took a bite to judge the taste before taking a pic). Green beans were missing but this was rectified. Fries were really nice though. Difficult to say something at the time as the polite young lady behind the counter was a trainee and working by herself on a busy bank holiday Friday lunchtime.
Ellie P — Google review
We didn't eat here, but the most lovely girl opened the seating area for us to sit in while hiding from the rain and eating our bacon rolls. I'll definitely be back for the food soon as it smelt amazing, it was a shame we were in the area a bit to early. Thank you again to that girl. You're an angel

It’s my second visit here and I’m still loving the food! Just a heads up, it can be a bit chilly at the sitting area during winter, but that’s a small thing compared to the yummy food. If you’re looking for a spot for a quick and delicious lunch, this is definitely the place to go!
Ken T — Google review
Oh my god. This might be the most delicious food on Norwich Market. The beef empanada had so much flavour, but its the queso ones that were our favourite with melty cheese inside. The accompanying salad is by no means an after thought. Each was flavoursome in its own right and cut through the richness of the empanada. We will definitely be heading back soon!

Amazing place to get some food when you are at the market. They are open till late thu-sat and I highly suggest the sharing platter. It's more than enough for two, get a beer from the nearby place and you are set for a good start of the night!

Yard, located in the heart of Norwich Lanes, offers a casual yet high-quality dining experience at an affordable price. The restaurant serves a variety of fresh pasta dishes and sides made with locally sourced and Italian-imported ingredients. In addition to its extensive list of original cocktails, Yard has become popular among both locals and visitors. It operates on a walk-in basis, allowing customers to easily grab a table or order food for takeout.
After a beautiful day with the seals at Horsey Gap, we were looking for a quick meal on our way home. The experience was so good it was truly beyond anything we could have imagined. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality of the food. Every dish we had was fantastic, but the standout was the Pappardelle with beef shin ragu. It was so reminiscent of the Italian food I’ve tasted in Rome. For anyone traveling through the Norwich or Norfolk area, Yard is an absolute must-try.

The pasta was quite nice, not the best I have ever had, but it's definitely good enough at this price to warrant another visit at some point. I could taste the flour in the sauce, presumably used for thickening. The service was quite slow - the waitress who seated us forgot about us, and I had to go and remind her that we exist after about 15 mins. All the waiters were very friendly.

Yard Pasta is an absolute gem in Norwich - some of the best pasta I’ve had, and at super reasonable prices. Portions are generous, the flavours are spot on, and they definitely don’t hold back on the parmesan (a big win in my book!). It’s casual, comforting, and consistently delicious. Staff are great too. Also, please bring back your green beans and caramelised shallot side salad - it was a favourite! Will be back!

BrewDog Norwich is a no-nonsense chain bar that specializes in craft beers, including their famous Punk IPA. Located in the city center, it's a great spot to grab a bite and enjoy a wide range of beers from their 27 taps. The venue offers both meat and plant-based burgers as well as small plates. It's also dog-friendly, providing treats and water for furry friends. Visitors have praised the rustic decor and the delicious food options such as truffle fries.
Been looking forward to coming here for a long time. I'm an hour away from my nearest brewdog. Needless to say I'm not disappointed. My partner and I had the patriot burger, it was smashing and cooked fresh. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked stunning. The drinks were the best part and made this day extra special. I had a pint of wingman, black heart and wingman tropical. All exceptional on draft. But the tropical wingman was like drinking fruit juice so smooth and at 7.2% you can really enjoy a couple. If brewdog wants to come and move into one of the old banks in Felixstowe it would be very welcomed. We are already planning our next trip to Norwich and this will be on the list for drinks and food.
Toby T — Google review
The atmosphere is always buzzing, the beer selection is second to none, and the food is outstanding. I'm a huge fan of their burgers, which are always juicy and flavourful...the best I've had in a long time and closest burger I've had that can compete with the states. But the real game-changer for me are the cauli wings. They are truly amazing... perfectly crunchy, saucy, and so delicious that they've become my go-to order. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about the beers, making the whole experience top tier. Whether you're a craft beer connoisseur or just looking for great food and a good time, BrewDog is the one.

The staff in here were all really friendly, they seemed to have a good understanding of the beer on offer and made good suggestions. The food here was great, burgers are really good, wings and cauliflower tasted great. There are games here that you can borrow and play at your table which is nice, the atmosphere wasn’t super lively on a Friday night but the time spent here was pleasant. I’d recommend coming here, I will be returning when I am back in Norwich.

Drinks as always, good. Service too, knowledgeable server. Unfortunately the Grazing platter, “the feast” was poor. Fries cold, southern fried chicken overcooked and dry, see picture. And what on earth were those cucumbers???? Spicy burger however was bloody lush… Will we come again, absolutely for the beer, but will eat first….. 🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻😜

The Iron House is a historic establishment in Norwich that has been serving the community for almost two centuries. It has recently undergone a stylish renovation, featuring a charming courtyard and an all-day brasserie with a diverse menu. The venue offers breakfast, brunch, and light meals until 6pm, including dishes like eggs Benedict, potted Cromer crab with soda bread, watermelon salad, Italian bread salad, and grilled halloumi.
Quiet Thursday evening in the New Year, walk-in without reservation would have been possible. Friendly and approachable front of house, thoughtful menu. We had three courses which were priced to include a small house wine. Food was very good, very good value and the venue was smart. Definitely added to the list of ticked dining options when in Norwich.

Very good food and great value for money set menu £20 for two courses and a glass of wine. Would maybe give it 4/4.5 not 5, but it’s the best option in that part of Norwich so it tips it up to 5 stars. Veggie friendly. Great service.

Impromptu visit for Saturday morning breakfast. Plenty of seats including the one I took in the window but did get busier later. Ordered a latte. Very tasty it was too. Wide choice on breakfast menu. Decided on eggs Benedict with extra chorizo. Sauce was not too strong or rich. Chorizo added a spicy kick too. I will be back!

Huge selection of tea, so much to choose from. Norfolk cream tea was excellent, the scone comes out warmed and smells (and tastes) divine, which is apt as I had a view of the church from my rear garden seat. It's nice and quiet, sheltered with front and rear seating plus indoor too. Great value for money.

Have been meaning to visit for some time, so glad I made the time last week. What a delight the Tea House is! Tucked away in Wrights court of Elm Hill, it really is a hidden gem of Norwich. Such a warm, friendly welcome from the lovely “Tea lady”, made it feel very much like we’d just popped into a friends for a cuppa. But with great attention to detail, including explaining to my daughter that when the timer finished, my daughters tea would be brewed and ready for her to pour. We had a vast array of teas to choose from. My daughter chose Earl Grey, and a slice of chocolate fudge cake. I went for Earl grey green, which was very tasty. I didn’t have any food this time, but I look forward to trying a toasted sandwich, in the very near future. And also enjoying the courtyard garden as the months become warmer. We look forward to our return visit and shall tick another tea off of the list!

Afternoon tea for my wife and me for Valentine's day surprise we loved it, everything was beautifully fresh and very tasty, the tea menu is extensive with some curious blends which deserve further investigation at a later date, which I'm sure will be quite soon. Nine of us ladies visited for a bottomless brunch before going to see Kinky Boots at the theatre. I haven't been before but others in the group had recommended it. I loved every minute, I'm a big reggae fan since I saw Bob Marley in Dortmund, his last major concert. The atmosphere was amazing, especially for a Thursday midday. Loved the surroundings, Ed our very friendly, smiley and attentive cocktail waiter, was exceptional. Then came the food.. which everyone enjoyed, served promptly, piping hot and all at the same time, so no-one was left drooling whilst others ate. Cosmos a all you eat buffet on London Street in norwich with a big selection of food on offer it's just been reopened after a refurbishment but it looks amazing i had to go round twice to take in the different food options. The best way is to start on small selections of food and work your way up otherwise you get full up quickly but all the food i had was hot and good. I can recommend it for special occasion as they had a robot going round singing happy Birthday to those who had one .

Breakfast restaurant
Cafe
Bill's Norwich Restaurant is a contemporary European chain that offers separate menus for breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch, and dinner. Located in the historic city of Norwich, it boasts cozy booths, sofas, and a private dining area. The restaurant prides itself on creating beautiful displays of fruits and vegetables. Whether you're a visiting tourist or a local resident, Bill's Norwich promises to offer an exciting dining experience with its friendly staff and accommodating atmosphere.
We went to Bills tonight to celebrate my daughter’s GCSE results. She’d never been and wanted to give it a try. The staff were absolutely brilliant, and were on it from the get go with my son’s nut allergy. The food was excellent and perfectly portioned; we were really pleased with the choice. Our server Daniela was amazing! Overall a great first visit. We will definitely be back!

Visited Bills yesterday with my partner to celebrate Pancake Day, and we had a lovely experience overall! I opted for the fruit bottomless pancakes, which came with bananas and strawberries—a great combination, fresh and delicious. I also had a hot chocolate, which was nice but a bit too sweet for my taste. My partner went for the classic burger, which came with fries and little pickles, along with a cappuccino. The food was good, and the service was friendly. However, one downside was the ordering system. They don’t have a QR code for direct ordering, so we had to keep looking for a waiter, which was slightly inconvenient. Also, if you’re planning to visit, I’d recommend pre-booking a table. We didn’t, and we ended up sitting at a center table near the entrance, which wasn’t as cozy as we would have liked. If you want a more intimate or comfortable spot, definitely book in advance. Overall, good food, good service, but a better ordering system and seating arrangement would enhance the experience! Would still recommend for a casual meal.

Fabulous visit to Bills Norwich today: Was shown to our seat by a courteous man who allowed us to sit upstairs through our choice, and then had wonderful service throughout by James P. Very attentive and friendly member of staff. Was a lovely catch up with a friend, cocktails flowed and we had 3 courses, sat for 4hours! That’s how much we enjoyed our visit. Def recommend coming here. Prob worth booking as very busy Saturday lunchtime.

Lovey food, had chicken ceaser salad for main and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, couldn’t fault it! Service was amazing, Chelsea from Bill’s Norwich was exceptional and lovely to chat too! would definitely recommend and will be returning.

The burger was excellent. The pancakes were pretty heavy. It was pretty good, not great, but I would definitely go back.

We went to Bill's to enjoy a nice meal, the staff where very nice and the burgers where too but the screaming from the young children on the next table to us was horrific. We were seated next to the toilet on a very small, dirty table. Underneath the table was very wet and had ketchup and chips all on the floor. The walls where discuting and everyting looked like it needed a good clean.

Headed in for brunch, relatively quiet on a Sunday as the weather was nice and most potential customers had headed up the coast. WiFi wasn't working, was told by the server that it had not worked the entire year she had worked there. So, with no signal, my friend and I had to pretend it was the 1990s and hold a conversation. Relatively easy in the quiet atmosphere. Food arrived before the drinks. Bacon was chewy, sausage under cooked. 12% tip was automatically added to the bill, without an option to opt out.

The Lamb Inn, a classic pub from Stonegate Pubs, is a stylish and inviting establishment located in the heart of Norwich city center. It offers upscale pub grub including gourmet burgers and a kids' menu, making it an ideal spot for families. The pub boasts indoor and outdoor seating as well as a lively atmosphere that kids will love.
Fantastic pub in heart of Norwich with a brilliant garden. Good range of beers and fantastic team. Verity was super helpful, great service! Had some food from their new menu and hich was all Delish! 🤤

If you're looking for the perfect blend of great food, cold drinks, and an unbeatable atmosphere—this place delivers on all fronts. From the moment you walk in, the energy is electric. Massive screens everywhere make it the ultimate sports bar experience—every seat has a great view of the game. The menu is impressive for a pub—definitely more than your typical bar fare. The wings are next-level, the burgers are juicy and perfectly cooked, and the loaded fries? Unreal. You can tell they actually care about the food here, not just the drinks. Speaking of drinks—ice-cold beers on tap, solid cocktails, and a great selection of spirits. Prices are fair, and the staff is friendly, fast, and clearly know how to keep the vibe going, even on a packed game night. Whether you're catching a match with friends, grabbing a bite solo, or just looking for a lively place to unwind, this spot nails it. Definitely a new go-to!

It was busy when I arrived but managed to get a table, lots of seating outside too. Bar staff were very friendly, felt like a nice atmosphere to sit and relax with a drink. Had the chicken and bacon club baguette which was good value, arrived quickly and was very tasty. My only gripe would be it was £6 for a bottle of low alcohol Ghost Ship that a felt was a little pricey. Dog friendly and look forward to visiting again in the future.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Lamb Inn in Norwich. The food was excellent, especially the chicken wings they tasted just like the ones I had back home in Sri Lanka. The pub has a nice atmosphere inside, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the music in the evening made it even better. Highly recommend!

Was feeling peckish and always meant to pop into the lamb to try their food. Well what a mistake to make. Steak and ale pie with onion gravy, mashed potatoes and seasonal veg for £15.50. nice surroundings so was looking forward to. What I actually got when it arrived soon soured that mood. What I got was a plate with some mashed potato lumped onto it that had obviously been left under the hot plate too long and gone so hard I couldn't get my fork through the skin, seasonal veg which was a handful of peas (ain't peas all year long?), a pie that had a hard crust and don't get me started on the gravy (it must have been hanging around for a while as it had gone that thick (complete with skin) that it took five mins to try and pour it. Called the waitress over to explain the problem and here's where they gained one star back. Their customer service is v good and I was refunded plus an apology from the head chef who said that should have never have gone out. Thought about waiting for another one but didn't wanna risk after that. So that's the lamb inn Norwich nice surroundings, good customer service, but expensive drinks and food that has put me off the place

Went for the Bottomless Brunch on a Saturday! The pub was heaving but the staff were still absolutely lovely! Our main server was a blonde woman and she was honestly so sweet and lovely! She made sure our preordered meals were correct, when there were some changes needed they got it sorted, and she looked after us really well! The lasagne was absolutely beautiful! I always get a little nervous about ordering lasagnes but this was amazing! So cheesy and the filling was beautiful! My partner gave me some of his hash browns and they were superb as well!! Very impressed with the quality and service at the Lamb Inn! Well done to the staff for being wonderful, especially on a busy Saturday!!

Catering to various dietary preferences, Ciscoe's provides an extensive range of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options to ensure that everyone can savor their meals without any compromise.
Excellent. We went for the freestyle sushi sharing platter for two (£80). I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food! I really wasn't expecting this much high quality sushi for the price. I've never been totally stuffed on sushi before! Great quality, good value, and really friendly service.

Incredible! What a find! We enjoyed this culinary delight with wonderful friends. I can't fault the experience. This is very likely the most amazing dining experience that I will ever enjoy. Words fail me. We each enjoyed individual starters: lamb chops, gyosa & then shared an awesome platter!

The food was average — nothing particularly stood out in terms of flavour or presentation. However, the service was above average — staff were friendly, attentive, and made the experience more enjoyable overall.

For a quiet mid-week lunch, I visited Ciscoe’s pop up kitchen residency at Yalm food hall. The food was delicious, and beautifully presented! Pictured is Tempura Vegetables Futo Maki, with sweet chilli & Japanese mayo and the Nirvana Sushi Roll, a tartare of avocado, cucumber, yuzu, chives and shallots. I’ll be looking forward to visiting their Ber Street restaurant, and tasting more of their offerings!

Really disappointed with our visit although the starter was good. On arrival we were asked if we would like some water for the table but this never arrived as we were soon forgotten about, it wasn't exactly busy either! The drinks took 25 mins to arrive! When we did get served our starter, we were pleased with the taste but it went rapidly downhill after that. My husband's main arrived and I was told that mine would be arriving shortly, usually for a table of 2, both mains come out together.. my husband waited over 5 mins for mine and I told him to start so his didn't go cold.. he actually finished his main before mine finally arrived after complaining to them! So I sat eating on my own after as my husband watched on. They did however remove mine from the bill but it left a sour taste in our mouths. The mains weren't exactly great and rather pricey for what they were. A small bit of salmon with a glaze and plain rice was £26!! Drinks selection very limited and expensive. The sushi did look good from what we saw at other tables. However, we don't think we'll return to try it.
Amber J — Google review
Being allergic to fish, I cannot eat most sushi. I order something else from the menu and let my wife enjoy the vegetarian sushi. Prior to Ciscoe's I would say I don't like sushi. We ordered the sampler platter for two. I was expecting to be eating things I didn't like. This is the first time I have ever enjoyed sushi. I liked every piece. I now say, I don't like sushi unless it is from Ciscoe's. They even prepared the rolls in a separate area to prevent possible contamination with fish.

Trattoria Rustica is a spacious Italian restaurant in Norwich, exuding an authentic village vibe with its vaulted ceilings, red checkered tablecloths, and charming decor from the 1500s. The menu goes beyond traditional offerings with savory pancakes, risotto, and hand-made pizzas. Despite some feedback about management presence and noise levels, visitors praise the delightful atmosphere and delicious food.
Amazing food!! Garlic bread was so tasty and pizza was cooked incredibly well. Service was a bit slow as we were sat right at the front and was a busy night, but the food was incredible. Very cute restaurant also!

Trattoria Rustica We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant, Anastasia and Jasmine took excellent care of us, they were delightful and efficient, they added to what was a memorable birthday for my good friend. The menu has so much choice, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere is truly authentic and as the name suggests rustic. There are so many tables and is larger than you would believe from the outside. It is set in a cobbled street which makes it even more adorable. Big thanks to all the team there.

Food was lovely but we ordered a £33 bottle of chianti, which turns out was a £4.99 Aldi ‘specialty selected’ with black marker pen over the Aldi logo… complained and the owner rudely took the bottle away saying ‘well you are not in a supermarket now’

We love it here! The food is amazing and the service is wonderful and friendly. We were here this time for a birthday and much fuss was made of the birthday girl. We were a largish party but everything was managed really well so everyone got their food at the same time. Thoroughly recommended

Lovely experience in a gorgeous venue, decided we fancied pizzas and they were good but I am certain their pastas would have been nicer. The drinks were super expensive for soft drinks but overall lovely pizza and nice desert.

I ventured up there on my own as my friend wasn't well enough to go. I already cancelled once and i wasn't going to cancel this time. As expected a warm welcome and swift waitress service. It was early, only been open for 20 mins and there were already people there and then it was quite busy in the next 1/2 an hour. My food was cooked to perfection. I skipped the starter as I wanted a sweet and I would have to give up one for the other so the Tiramisu won!!. It really is a lovely authentic rustic restaurant with atmosphere. It's a hidden gem. Situated in a lovely cobled street with no traffic and on a summers evening just right for a walk/wander afterwards. Thank you Mario and team for a lovely evening. Keep up the excellent work.

Guests can enjoy craft beers and an impressive selection of gins at the bar before indulging in sharing plates at the restaurant. Lovely hotel. Stayed here a few times and have always had a great experience every time. The rooms have a nice decor and are very comfortable, with good amenities. The staff are very welcoming and friendly as well. The restaurant/bar is great and has a lively atmosphere. Our first choice whenever visiting Norwich, highly recommend.

If you love the prices at airport WH Smiths then you’ll love it here. Over £7 for a subpar Guinness, school dinners quality risotto for £17, bottle of rank average white wine £34. Don’t worry about burning your mouth on the food… it’s handcrafted by eskimos. But for objective balance the loo roll is good for quality, the staff are good, and the location is handy - which I suspect is the only reason it manages to keep going, when there are so so many better options in Norwich for whatever you’re after. Caveat emptor.
Adam B — Google review
Nice place and staff. Went on a Monday lunchtime and was told there was no fish pie, sausage rolls or cheesecake on the menu. Shared the Charcuterie board but was disappointed there was only 1 meat choice and 1 cheese choice on the board when 2 choices were mentioned on the menu. Asked for an Irish coffee but they had no cream. Whoever does the food ordering needs to up their game. Will go back again and hopefully will be better.

Good location but look elsewhere if using the Hotel. Wedding Service was a nightmare, but manager of bar was helpful. None of the expected facilities were available, Not enough tables for guest or Parasols boiling hot day. Guests had to get their own . Disability ramp was broken With no security bolt in the centre, it was just a fold-up portable ramp and very unsafe at tremendous incline. Obviously nobody has checked health and safety correctly just by placing a broken fold-up ramp is extremely unacceptable! Couldn't get to the toilet the bar or watch the wedding cake ceremony.

I've been here a number of times in the past. My last visit recently was mixed. I still like the venue and food but we weren't given venues. Two of the party ordered jumbo chips with their food these never arrived and the server just seemed to be on a different plant from the time we arrived. I would have made a comment at the time but it was a birthday celebration for one of the party.

Don’t stay here during warm weather. The hotel rates are in keeping with a premium priced hotel but they are not equipped for warm weather. My room on the upper floor was like a furnish all night. The temperature in the room was north of 80 degrees all night. The fans they provide give off more heat and do not cool at all. Furthermore, the only staff at the hotel after 10pm are the bar staff and they just said that “there is nothing they could do and they have nothing to do with the hotel”. This is in-spite of the reception area having a notice that specifically directed patrons to the bar staff for issues. I won’t be staying here again. Worst night I’ve ever had at a hotel. The building needs air conditioning to be viable as a hotel.
G Q — Google review
Went here for lunch with friends but the food was far from good. Toasties / sandwiches with stale bread, fillings not seasoned and no sides of salad or chips with £11 premium for a cheese toastie, which was disappointing. Ambience nice and service was acceptable but big let down on the food.

Great all-round experience. Wide variety of exhibits. Juxtaposition of pieces was stimulating and an engaging feature was where soundscapes were paired with some of the items. This led to those sculptures being experienced in a fuller way. Staff were attentive and there was an opportunity to be guided around. Setting of the Centre is picturesque. Well worth a visit.

So much better than I thought it would be. A wonderful wide range of art and artifacts. The interactive displays were a nice touch. The current temporary exhibition was brilliant. Tickets by donation and we had a lovely coffee and cake in the cafe. It was nice wondering around the outside sculptures. No wait to enter and not too busy for a weekend day. My only trouble was parking. There were no spaces left and we had to park in a different car park at a different building, the ticket machine was also broke. Other than that, great day out.

Donnelli's Pizzeria is a cozy and inviting restaurant located in Norwich, known for its delicious range of wood-fired pizzas with creative toppings. The pizzeria started from humble beginnings in the owner's garage, which was transformed into a bakery before becoming the popular eatery it is today. With authentic Italian flavors and a variety of options like Napoli, Genova, and Assisi, Donnelli's offers high-quality pizzas that bring the taste of Italy to Norwich.
Had a really nice lunch here, thin traditional pizzas with a wide selection of toppings. I was unsure about some of the Italian toppings however the waitress was very helpful and gave good recommendations.

A great place to enjoy proper Italian pizza with an authentic taste of Italy — sadly, the location isn’t actually in Italy 🤪🤣. When I visited, they had a meal deal: a large pizza with a fizzy drink for a great price (I can’t remember the exact amount, but it was worth it!). The waitress didn’t quite have that warm, charming Italian vibe you might expect but hey, the pizza had enough personality for both of them!

We went for a Sunday lunch. Friendly, cosy place with attentive service. Plenty of types of pizzas on the menu and they have two size options: small or large. This is handy with kids, a small pizza was enough for our 9y old. They were flexible with bespoke toppings. Pizzas were decent.

I’ve come here often and always have a lovely meal. The pizzas are affordable and the staff are lovely and friendly. Some tips are I would make sure you book a table in advance as it can get quite busy, and the restaurant can get quite warm inside so don’t dress too warm 😊

Pizza is very average in my opinion. I think we are awash with pizza joints that do a half decent dough and that masks everything else that makes a pizza great, but hey, that’s my option you may love it. Inside is really dingy, cold and not cosy at all, a lick of paint and a bit of love doesn’t cost too much? Closes 5pm Sunday but two people turned away whilst we were there one at 15.50 and one at 15.59 as kitchen shuts at 16.00……..yeah I know, it doesn’t make sense. Feels like the owner is taking a backseat from the business and not close to day to day operations.

St Andrews Brew House is a charming pub in Norwich that offers a unique experience of watching beer being brewed on the premises. The micro-brewery on the first floor allows visitors to witness the brewing process while enjoying board games and a relaxing atmosphere. The ground floor features a bar and restaurant where guests can savor comforting meals and quality beers with friends. Housed in a beautiful Grade II-listed building, the interior boasts an industrial-style decor that complements the visible brewhouse.
We had our wedding meal here and it was perfect. We hired the tank room and the locker room with the bar upstairs. Our guests ordered from the normal menu- everyone loved their food and all meals came hot which was great when cooking for just over 30 people. They were great accommodating different dietary requirements. Laura was fantastic and made sure everything went smoothly. The table was laid out beautifully and everyone had a great time. Could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding as it was perfect. Would recommend to anyone thinking of booking an event here.

We had our wedding reception at St Andrews Brewhouse and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, answering all our questions in the lead up to the day and exceeding our expectations on the day itself. The food was outstanding – the chicken supreme was honestly the best dish I’ve ever eaten. We’ve been coming here for nearly 10 years and the food has always been consistently amazing. The venue is perfect for a small wedding and worked out as fantastic value for money. I couldn’t recommend St Andrews Brewhouse highly enough.

We held our wedding reception in the upstairs of St Andrew’s Brewhouse and I couldn’t recommend them more! Lou and the team were so accommodating, no request felt like too much. All allergies were catered for too. The food was absolutely incredible and our guests are still telling us how great the chicken was 2 weeks later! We had the best time - thank you so much Lou & co!

Held a private birthday party upstairs at The Brew House for around 50 people. The room(s) up there are perfect for this size party - in fact we could have fitted a few more - with seating for everyone and plenty of room for some dancing. There's a separate bar upstairs so you don't need to keep traipsing downstairs to get your drinks and the two staff members running the bar were really engaged with our guests' needs and were absolutely fantastic. All the ratings I've given are based on the fact that this was a private event eg. the noise level has taken into account that we had a DJ playing music at our event.
Richard H — Google review
We go to the Brew House fairly regularly and quite like it. However, this visit was of concern. Perhaps there is a short term staffing issue. The food was OK but nothing special and not up to normal standards. Also, presented as if it has simply be dropped on the plate. Staff were very pleasant but disorganised especially considering the fact that it never got busy. Long waits between ordering and receiving our courses and dessert arrived different to what we had ordered. We hope these are temporary gitches.

We love St Andrews Brew House 😍 Great beers 🍺 Tasty sharing and starter dishes and all day food ordering 😋 Staff her super helpful and knowledgeable about their beers 🍻 Try the Pucker Up Sour with cherry 🍒 Exceptional! Highly recommended UPDATE: we hired the upstairs room for a joint 60th party. Excellent space and the team were great at proving food and snacks to feed our party guests. There is a bar and toilets upstairs, so it feels separate to the main bar downstairs. High recommended for party hire 🥳

What a fantastic place this was for Norwich city centre with a hard working long suffering director who even paid her way through Covid to stay open. Our cities small independents similar to this have a bleak future ahead as the burden of an increased VAT bill is the result of price increases to cover the forced minimum wage increase, higher taxes and raw material costs. To be brought down by this mess of scaffolding seems an absolute tragedy and certainly an exit with no dignity- but does prove that our independents are disappearing fast.

Lovely little wine bar, shame no food on Mondays though. Keep your eyes peeled when looking for it as it is very well hidden down a small alley way. But very well appointed, a little bit quirky and some superb wines. Thumbs up from me

Thanks, Nickki for an incredible dining experience on Friday July 29! Ballotine chicken, beef short rib and hamburger without the bun. A dinner to remember. Having arrived from Canada the day before, thanks for making me feel like one of the locals! Cheers!

What a great place in the centre of Norwich! We were really pleased with our meals- rib of beef, burger, scallops and prawns and a burrata salad. Service, quality of dishes and value were all very good. If you want a fine dining meal without the ponce and supplement then look no further. The Wine Cellar is going to be one of those places that when you go you keep going back.

I was surprised by the limited wine options from a place called wine cellar. Wines by the glass were supermarket-kinda of quality. Funnily enough most people around us were drinking beer and not wine. Ambience is good but nothing special. Food looks good but there’s def room for improvement: risotto was a bit hard and I had to add salt and pepper as it was bland, fish dish with scallops was not fresh and it was literally soaking in a bowl of oil. It’s a friendly environment but that’s not enough to make us come back.

The food was wonderful along with the wine lot which was extremely well tasted. The atmosphere was good. The singer that came later in the evening was ok. A few bum songs but overall had a great evening.

This was my first time at The Wine Cellar, members of staff were very pleasant with a smile which is very nice to see. Have to say the beef burger with all the trimmings was the best I have had, so tasty. Good selection to choose from the menu, all at reasonable prices. Would have given 5 stars, but unfortunately the cappuccino was to hot, but would highly recommend.

Blue Joanna is an awesome pan-Asian restaurant in the heart of Norwich. It offers delicious food, funky cocktails and live music nights, as well as its resident blue piano! This trendy eatery provides a great atmosphere for socialising with friends.
This restaurant has a cracking vibe and excellent food. We chose three plates each which was enough for us and topped the meal off with a couple of cocktails.. A real cross-section of folk was there when we visited. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you so much to the exceptional two service people who made our evening fantastic. I could talk for hours about how great it was, but my words will never do it justice, go and see for yourself. All I can say is good luck on your dissertation, and here’s to many more tattoos

Great music playing on a record player no less and Fleetwood Mac - so good. Friendly service as I didn't have a booking but seated nevertheless. Chose 3 dishes which was too much for 1 person. Excellent calamari rings, grilled aubergine with miso, pork tacos. Tacos could have had more spice for me. Obviously popular for good reason.

I have to say probably the best experience I've had at any restaurant! It was my partners birthday and they were more than happy for me to supply my own cake and also there was no judgement on the relationship we have (we're a same sex couple) the whole team went above and beyond to make it as special as they could. My partner is a very sentimental person and was almost in tears of joy from the experience! Also the food, drinks and atmosphere was amazing too. Definitely worth going too, absolutely beat my high expectations and is definitely a new standard for the restaurant industry. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💓 - Conor and Jon

This place is awesome! The prices are reasonable, the portions are sizable and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food is incredible, this was easily the highlight of my trip to Norwich. It’s a must-eat if you’re in town for any length of time. It’s a great option to get tapas and share with your group, or to get them just for you - and you’ll definitely be full at the end!

Brick Pizza is a popular spot in Norwich, known for its thin-crust pizzas with traditional and gourmet toppings. The restaurant combines Neapolitan culinary expertise with local ingredients and a touch of creativity. Established in 2015, it remains true to its roots and even offers outdoor dining in the garden of St Peter Mancroft Church.
Brick Pizza, Norwich Brick Pizza offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The cosy setup is perfect for catching up with friends or having a casual dining experience. The pizza here is absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of crispy crust, fresh toppings, and rich flavours. Whether you’re a pizza lover or just looking for a great place to eat, Brick Pizza won’t disappoint.

Highly recommend visiting Brick if the opportunity presents itself. Ordered the Pizza Napoli & Dough Balls (with garlic butter) - see pics. Service was fast & efficient, inside was clean & well-maintained, & the food itself was just something else. 5 stars.
River S — Google review
I’ve visited Brick many times in the decade since it opened next to Norwich market and it remains to be my choice for best pizza the city has to offer. Whether you want to eat indoors as they prepare your order in the stone oven, sit outside with a drink at the Garnet pub or in their own garden - there are plenty of ways to enjoy it. Even still it can get quite busy. The pizzas themselves have a large doughy crust with high quality local ingredients and score highly amongst others I have tried, both here and abroad. If you want a great Neapolitan style pizza in Norwich then Brick is a must visit.

Very delicious pizza. They make it right in front of you with all the magic spinny stuff. Felt very fancy as a result. The waiters were friendly and helpful. I can really recommend the white base with fennel sausage, that was a spectacular pizza. Thing I would do to improve is to give actual wine glasses. I didn't like drinking a bottle of wine from table glasses.

Brick is a fairly small pizza restaurant bordering the market with about 20 seats inside with more outside (didn’t see though as it was at back) with a modern industrial feel ( brick &metal) We ordered veggie & pepperoni pizzas which arrived within 3 minutes. We just popped to Norwich for the day from Cambridge and stumbled on this place in our search for a yummy vegan lunch in central Norwich. While ordering the staff were super engaged, helpful and friendly which was refreshing. When the food came out it was superb and value for money. We got a couple moorish falafel wraps (which is the base option on a very yummy menu + you can customise by adding ingredients, I got pickles on mine. They also do a cute kids box which is a deconstructed version of the wrap. The food was both incredibly yummy and filling, absolutely hitting the spot 😋! I would Highly recommend.

Restaurant
GBK is a chain eatery that features a traditional wooden ambiance and specializes in serving delectable British beef, chicken, and vegetarian burgers. One customer had their Rocket Man burger with an additional medium rare patty, paired with the newly introduced Truffle Fries and Chicken Tenders. The burger was highly enjoyable, boasting excellent quality and tenderness along with juiciness. Doubling up on patties is recommended for an enhanced experience.
Nice place to have lunch. Burger was good, cooked the way we requested as shown on the photo. I try to take photos as it looks in reality so it's not misleading. The place have a good ambience too with great attentive staff.

Impromptu trip into the city for lunch with a client... burger lacked something. The patties could have done a little longer on the grill. Chunky chips were nice. ... reached the bottom of my bottomless drink with no refill.

Went on 30/05/25 and the food wasn’t completely inedible, however the onion rings were astonishing! Two (out of seven) of our rings still had onion skin on it and another was undercooked!! Be prepared for a service charge of 12.5% which was a bit funny considering our waitress couldn’t seem to crack a smile at us once or barley speak to us! When she wanted to take our order she just stared at us in silence 👍🤣 Basically just McDonald’s quality food for a higher price.
Marco B — Google review
Really recommend this place, tasty food, fast service and really friendly staff. They have good gluten free and vegan options and are very accommodating to allergies. My only criticism is the burgers are quite small for the price
Katherine O — Google review
Odd. They have offers such as 3 sides for £9. They also do a student discount of 20%. I expected that offer items would be excluded from the student discount but full price items would be subject to the discount. Instead, they 'competed' on the bill and the end result was that my discount was useless. Unfortunately, I think this is intentional. Not okay. As for the actual experience, I would say it was a nice meal. Expect to pay £20-25 per person for a drink, a main and a side. Service was quite slow really and the waiter was neutral. The food was of good quality and enjoyable but you are paying £10-£15 for a burger without any sides, salad or drink. Bit of a poor showing really when so many places nearby actually do legitimate lunchtime deals. Tried one of their vegan burgers, it was a good option for any veggies. They do seem to put some effort into it. They do £7 for a burger and fries, but the impression we got is that burger is basically a cheeseburger. Could be wrong. Doubt it though. Good (not gourmet) food, gourmet prices. No rush to go back.
Alex M — Google review
Great pre-show meal! Gluten free options, I opted for no bun as it was a smash burger and it was so delicious. Looking forward to going here again!

Hands down the BEST burgers in Norwich! We had The Classic Double Patty and The Rocketman — and wow, they were juicy and packed with flavour. Easily the tastiest burgers we’ve ever had! The loaded fries were delicious, and the Biscoff milkshake was to die for. Service was fantastic too – a special shoutout to Immy for the amazing customer service. She was an absolute star and made our visit even better. Highly recommend GBK Norwich, and we’ll definitely be coming back!
Jaison K — Google review
We recently visited as a family with our autistic daughter. On receiving the children’s burger and fries, the meal had cucumber and carrot sticks on the side. With no mention of this on the menu we had been unable to remove them. Our daughter’s food aversions meant that she was unable to eat any of her meal. Being asked if there are any allergies at the table is great, but perhaps also consider those with neurodivergence. We didn’t mention it to team at the time (who had been great!) as sadly there wouldn’t have been a way of helping. We genuinely don’t like to moan, but feel that it’s an important point to make

Whether novice or experienced in Japanese cuisine this is a great place to dine. It's not cheap and if you like the cooked to order dishes it adds up quickly. Mainly bar dining and personally I prefer to get a table. Consistently good quality. Disappointed that teriyaki salmon no longer on the menu. High bar seating not accessible for less able people

The onigiri was immaculate (as was everything we ordered, it was just a standout item) & the service was excellent too! Any little changes or additions we wanted were made without fuss. I’ve been to YO! Sushi in Norwich a few times over 4 years, and while my experiences were not always consistent and positive due to long delays in service, complications with accommodating dietary allergens , inconsistencies with friendliness and service attentiveness, I’m happy to say my most recent visits have been positive! The staff have stepped up their game—seating us more quickly, friendlier approach, and showing a much better flexibility around dietary allergens and slightly adjusting items on the menu to accommodate their customers better. Tonight, our waitress Ella was terrific—attentive, helpful, friendly and professional. The kitchen also impressed us with how quickly they prepared our meals. The portions were just right, and everything was delicious. It’s been a pleasure to see the improvements, and happy to return. Great work to the whole team!

It looks good in the photo. However, it is some cold rice taken out from the fridge, plus a piece of warm fish on top. The worst sushi in Norwich. High price, low quality. I tried all other sushi places including dine-in and takeaway, this one is seriously the worst. Even the Sainsbury’s takeaway one is fresher than this. The menu is very dirty, oil, sticky stuff on it. The service speed is slow.

So much on offer here and such a beautiful building, they never disappoint us each year with their Christmas displays this year wrapping the whole building in a giant red gift bow which looks amazing. I very much like how they support local small creators and businesses I was blown away to see so many lovely local stalls on the 2nd floor for their Christmas market ,this was lovely to see so many handmade local gifts. Huge floors filled to the brim with such a varied selection of goods. Something for everyone here and they have a bar and restaurant inside too just brilliant. Exceptional family run department store with a history dating back to 1770. Excellent range of high quality product lines under one roof, from fashion and furniture to books and toys. The food hall is a particular highlight, beautifully presented and with an outstanding range of quality products. A small café in the food hall and a larger restaurant upstairs offer a nice selection of refreshments and lunch options, with sandwiches and cooked lunches prepared to order. Busy in early afternoon but didn't have to wait too long - a nice change from London! The store, completed in 1823, is a really unusual building and an architectural treat. Nice to see that well behaved dogs are welcome everywhere inside except for the food and drinks areas.

Jarrolds Department Store in Norwich: A Delightful Shopping Experience From the moment I stepped through the doors of Jarrolds, I knew I was in for something truly special. This iconic department store exudes a sense of warmth and charm that is hard to find in today's retail landscape. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by an impressive array of high-quality merchandise, meticulously curated to cater to every taste and need. The staff, with their infectious smiles and unparalleled knowledge, are the true stars of the show. They go above and beyond to ensure that every customer feels welcomed and valued, making the shopping experience truly exceptional. One of the highlights of my visit was the delightful cream tea I indulged in at one of the store's charming cafes. The scones were perfectly baked, the clotted cream was decadent, and the atmosphere was simply delightful. It's the kind of experience that makes you want to linger and savor every moment. But Jarrolds offers much more than just exceptional retail and dining experiences. The furniture department is a true gem, showcasing a stunning selection of high-quality pieces that cater to every style and budget. And the fashion departments, both for women and men, boast an impressive array of fashionable and on-trend offerings, making it easy to find the perfect outfit. In fact, I could have easily spent an entire day exploring the wonders of Jarrolds, from the impressive fish restaurant to the countless nooks and crannies that hold hidden treasures. This department store is a true gem, a place where the art of shopping is elevated to an experience that is both enjoyable and unforgettable. If you find yourself in Norwich, do yourself a favor and visit Jarrolds. It's a testament to the power of exceptional customer service, high-quality merchandise, and a genuine commitment to creating a truly special shopping experience.

What a place, absolutely fantastic, Jarrolds has been at the centre of Norwich for many years, you can easily spend a few hours looking around and having lunch. I had a carvery for £13.95 a dessert for £4.70 and a coffee for £3.20. If you had the same in any pub it would have come to at least £30.00. Definitely visit, just don't take the wife or you will leave skint.

Lunch Experience at Jarrod’s Pantry Today, I had the pleasure of enjoying my favorite pie for lunch at Jarrod’s top-floor Pantry restaurant. At first, I was ready to leave as I wasn't in the mood for another carvery. However, I spotted the steak and kidney pie on the menu and couldn’t resist! I went back to the counter and chose a delightful meal of boiled and roasted potatoes with fresh vegetables, paired with a refreshing bottle of mango juice. The pie was generously filled with steak and kidney, and the potatoes and vegetables were cooked to perfection. It truly made for an enjoyable meal! In total, my lunch cost £17.30, which kept me satisfied for the rest of the day. Jarrod’s is a relatively large restaurant, quite popular with the older generations. The staff-to-customer ratio is nearly always spot on, ensuring excellent service. Plus, there are several car parks within walking distance, making it an ideal place to meet up with friends or, like I did today, enjoy a meal alone.

Clearly not the place for me. Used to be for the average person in the street, but now so up market. Full of consesions. However I could still rate this as to if they did what they aim to do well. However! The big however. Clearly I was not welcome, and regarded with suspicion. I was dressed reasonably. But perhaps it was my Primark shoes and gillet. Freebie top from Amazon and trousers, pressed, from M&S attracted attention. The burly, large badge on arm band, security person made no attempt at being discreet observing me and following me. Needless to say I purchased nothing. Next stop M&S who I am confident will be happy to take my money. Jarrolds are lucky to get 3 stars.

It's known for being the city's smallest pub, offering a unique blend of traditional British pub atmosphere and authentic Thai dining experience. The establishment also boasts a rich history, with parts of the building dating back to 1249. First time visiting 'The Vine' and can say we'll be going back again. Service was exceptional, very nice lady serving and going through the menu in detail ~ we liked that. Cozy venue, quirky almost, two floors (good amount of seating seen), we seated upstairs, was able to see the chef cooking from were we was 🙂 The food was soooo good 👍, so tasty....and beautifully presented. All freshly prepared and cooked in house. Thanks Vine for a lovely lunch 👍

Small pub just off the market that does Thai food. There's a room upstairs for additional seating, or you can sit out front and people watch. Service was very friendly. Food was delicious. One star lost for value. £17 for a main, PLUS mandatory service charge is pushing it a bit. Two mains and two drinks coming in at close to £50!

OK. Expensive and 10% service added to the bill. £75 for 2 med glasses of wine, 1 shared starter and 2 mains. Sticky rice was crispy and served in a thin plastic sandwich bag, which may be common but is odd IMO. Flavours quite good but overall we didn’t feel it was worth it. Fairly small portions

The WinePress at the Maids Head Hotel offers a pleasant dining experience with attentive staff. Guests have enjoyed Sunday lunch, where they were well taken care of by the staff and even received assistance in choosing the perfect red wine. The atmosphere is described as lovely, and the food is praised for being well-cooked and tasty, with generous portion sizes. However, there were some minor issues such as the roast beef not being as rare as requested and a locked main door upon leaving.
I had a great meal, so came on to leave a review and am highly surprised by the previous scores. I've had an excellent meal, with an amazing wine. If there were problems in the past, I saw none of them. Highly recommended, and I will certainly be back again.

The service is pretty slow and our table was wobbly. The menu online is not the same as in the restaurant - I arrived looking forward to some pork belly with crackling but it wasn’t on the menu so I ordered the pork shoulder. After waiting a while for the food it was pretty disappointing. The amount of meat you get is pretty small and was overly salty. The vegetables, potatoes, gravy and Yorkshire were nothing special. My mother ordered the aubergine which was extremely tough and she was unable to cut it. The menu also states that each roast comes with cauliflower cheese but we only received 2 portions for 3 people. When we asked about this we were told that that’s just how much we get. Overall disappointing and would not recommend.

Last minute booking for an anniversary Sunday lunch (we hadn't decided where to go 😊) Jack looked after us really well. Wished us a happy anniversary. Helped my wife get the perfect red wine 🍷 Sunday lunch started quiet and got to about 1/2 to 2/3rds full. Chowder starter was delicious. Roast beef was not as rare as my wife asked for. Jack did apologise about this as joint cooked in one go. My pork was tasty and huge plate of giant Yorkshire pudding and veg. Sadly no crackling but still plenty to eat. Bar was deserted on arrival. Wide range of local gins. Dessert was a peach alaska. Very pretty on the plate. Tasty and not too sweet. Great service. Food and drink a hit or miss in places. Good value for money we felt

I booked Sunday lunch for 3 people, my wife and I + our son, our son came to meet us at the restaurant and we knew this restaurant well albeit from 10 yrs ago, we ordered drinks, ours arrived and our son ordered coffee when it arrived, he poured it and it was just pale water in the cafetière? He talked to a waiter who apologised and said he would remove it from the bill, he promised to replace the drink our son waited 10 minutes nothing arrived our son exited and said goodbye, we ordered our meals in the hope it couldn’t get any worse, the food arrived and looked very nice, we had loin of pork with seasonal vegetables, unfortunately some chef also added a cauliflower sauce in two blobs (No Cauliflower) with a rich gravy, I started on the food and moved the white sauce to one side, unfortunately my wife’s meal her sauce had mixed with the gravy and looked awful, my wife’s meal was only half eaten I did have mine as was hungry, I wish now we had left with our son, I went to pay of course they didn’t take the coffee off the bill.until I pointed it out! He said you should have said something we told two of the staff but nobody tells anybody else ! They did take off the service charge, what disappoints me more than anything else is we don’t see our son often as he work away and I knew he would remember the Maids head restaurant where we used to go years ago. We will remember this visit for all the wrong reasons.

Food is terrible, staff a waste of time. We had to wait 30 mins for a menu, 40 mins for us to get some water and the meal took 3.5 hours. The service was Just not acceptable . They were shockingly bad. Would be ok if the food blew out socks away, but the food was substandard and tasteless . Hugely disappointed

Had a very disappointing meal in the Winepress last night. Have been many time over the years, including for celebration meals and will now never return. What has happened to the place? They urgently need a new chef who can cook and devise a menu and better or more staff on the floor. On arrival it took far too long for anyone to seat us. The menu is very limited and does not match the sample menu online. If you don’t eat meat and don’t want salad you really had to choose the two course £45 per person menu to have the aubergine. Sadly, this was very badly cooked and hard to eat - this was not helped by plate spinning on the table. As we were so hungry we had to eat it. We told the waitress it was not very nice and because it had been eaten she just remarked “looks like you did not like it”! The fish and chips lacked seasoning and fish was in fryer too long. Given how bad the mains were we decided to leave without pudding. So we’re changed £35 for the awful aubergine dish which is daylight robbery. The wine was not cold, we were told this was due to a new wine supplier that day. It is so sad to see a place go downhill so badly. We chose Winepress due to past dinning there and the sample menu which suggested a mixed menu where people could eat and avoid meat. In the event the menu was very limited. In 2024 serving meat based amuse bouche without enquiring whether people eat meat is really not on.

The food and service was excellent. The duck, fish, and beef were exceptional. We were a tiny bit concerned initially, as the previous 14 reviews were very mixed. However we're extremely pleased we kept our reservation.

I was slightly disappointed with my meal, I went for the seasonal pie of the day…. the meat in the pie was delicious and the buttery mash on top was really tasty, but there was approximately 20 silverskin onions in the small pie which was far too many, more onions than meat! The carrots were rock hard, the gravy was tasty in a small white jug but the jug was burning hot and impossible to pick up. I felt the meal was overpriced and unfortunately I won’t be returning. The staff were all very pleasant.

Britons Arms, a historical tearoom and restaurant dating back to the 1300s, offers a taste of traditional English cuisine with retro recipes from its archives. The venue prides itself on serving local, seasonal dishes such as Norfolk pork and apple pie, treacle tart, and strawberry shortcake. Visitors can indulge in homemade cakes, fish finger sandwiches, and a variety of vegetarian and vegan options in the cozy setting of this converted pub.
Visited this lovely eatery for dinner. The chef was visible behind the glass window into the kitchen which was a nice touch. The menu had a nice varied selection, of maybe 6 main dishes. Fish meat and veggie options. Our meals were delicious, the fish was moist, perfectly cooked, the Venison nicely pink. Rack of lamb was really tasty. Really great value in my opinion. A real fine.

Love this place and its surroundings. I like how we can assemble our own breakfast and just choose what we like :) Mushroom was the highlight of my plate, very fresh and flavourful. Pork sausage is great too! The only thing was the oat latte was a bit weak, if you like stronger milk-added coffee then probably go for flat white or cappuccino.

Stopped by here on our visit to Norwich for some coffees and the experience did not disappoint. They have an extensive menu for teas and coffees at an incredibly good price not to mention the breathtaking traditional and historical atmosphere of the building. Would highly recommend and would love to grt something to eat for our next visit.

Great place to have a Sunday Roast. Food was delicious, all of it. Service a tad slow, but there was only 2 of them, and they were very lovely young people. Absolutely highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed!

The food unfortunately didn't hit the spot. It was rather bland and lacking flavour. The staff were incredibly nice and the venue steeped in history. But unfortunately the food lacked flavour. The Sunday roast was overcooked, lacking flavour and bland.

Nice Olde English building from the 14th Century with a cute little suntrap garden/terrace, great friendly service & food served very quickly, probably because they only appeared to cook it for 45seconds (see toast & bacon on my attached picture), was still edible though & on previous visits it was cooked for slightly longer, would definitely return as it’s a lovely place (and the build your own breakfasts work out very reasonable), but I’d be advising them to cook things a little bit longer next time.

What a lovely place for lunch - killer sandwiches and toasties - wider menu looked great too but stuck to the basics today. The staff could not have been any nicer if they tried! Bravo to the Britons Arms (does hurt that the street is also gobsmackingly beautiful too!) 🚀🚀🚀

Brix and Bones, a popular eatery in Norwich for students, has gained fame as a delightful culinary destination. Nestled within the vibrant city center at Gonzos Tea Room, this exceptional restaurant boasts an open fire concept that uses a grill fueled by charcoal and wood to create delectable dishes from fresh and seasonal ingredients. Guests can relish the unique experience of observing the cooking process by securing a table provided by the Chef.
The service can sometimes be a *tad* slow. Everything else about this restaurant is exceptional. It feels like Hawksmoor before it grew - and the quality of steak is outrageously good. The sides are small, but delicious, and the venue pops with personality. If this was in London, you would never get a table. Take advantage before it is!

Great steak. Great red wine. Unique dishes such as mutton taco and bone marrow fudge doughnut (red miso cabbage- omg!) Amazing service, shout out to Bryan for looking after us, he was fantastic! Being gluten free then menu was super friendly and chefs were accommodating to GFO options. If you’re at x2 definitely do the counter experience.

Entering the building through a shared door with a nightclub I wasn't sure if I was lost but the very polite bouncer assured me I was in the right place. We scored a corner table which we were grateful for, to people watch and get a sense for Norwich. Service was excellent, and we sensed we were in for something special once they crossed our cut of 78 day matured hereford beef from the chalk board. Nothing disappointed, from the creative and perfectly executed small plates to the perfectly prepared steak and puddings. We would be back sooner if only we lived closer.

I had my first visit to Brix and bone last night as a birthday treat. I didn’t know what to expect but had heard good things. I was enchanted. From the antlers as chandeliers to the foraged ingredients. We had booked to sit at the counter so we had a view and not the kitchen. The menu is small which I prefer ( a little done to perfection) than a long list I can’t decide between. The beef cuts are listed on chalk board and when sold are marked off. The service was exemplary. I will definitely be going back.

One of the best restaurants in Norfolk! A great selection of wines and perfect steaks. You should absolutely try their starters!
Dmitry M — Google review
We had booked a table for two on the occasion of my birthday, but didn't really know what to expect. At first, we couldn't actually find the place, despite being guided by Google maps, because it's tucked away on the first floor of a building and with only a rather non-descript sign outside. When entering the building, we were asked whether we had a reservation, and when going upstairs and entering the place, it became clear that they don't really need to advertise their presence outside, as it clearly seems hugely popular amongst people who know about it. In a way, it felt like entering a VIP club... The restaurant is much smaller than I had anticipated, and at first we felt a bit disappointed at being led to a small high table in the centre of the room. But when we realised what a special place it is, all hint of a disappointment instantly vanished. Meat cannot be selected from an ordinary menu, but must be ordered off handwritten boards, and there is only a very limited number of each cut, clearly labelled from which farm they come from. It's all about local produce, quality and presentation. This is a very special place, very different from ordinary steak houses, and it turned out to be the perfect place for my birthday meal!

Kings Head is a laid-back local pub in Norwich that offers a diverse selection of real ales and Trappist brews, creating an unpretentious atmosphere without the distraction of TV or music. Additionally, it houses the oldest surviving head shop in Britain called Head in the Clouds, which has been serving customers since 1971. This iconic establishment provides an array of products including smoking paraphernalia, crystals, jewelry, tarot cards, and ethically sourced clothing.
Didn't have food so unfair to rate- a proper local . Hidden gem. Good atmosphere..I'm not a regular but lovely surroundings-top landlady and wide selection of all alcohol plus own beers bar billiards table is a great touch. Shame I don't live closer. So many pubs too big too modern and maybe I'm getting old but one of my favourite places. Mature pub ! For mature people

A renowned Norwich pub in Magdalen Street. Can see why it's won many awards. Good quick efficient table service, thorough disinfecting of tables and chairs once clientele vacated. This and the perspex screens didn't degrade the atmosphere and ambiance. Plus a wide range of quality beers, ales, foreign bottled lagers on offer.

Several visits pre and post Covid restrictions have proven this pub to live up to its award winning reputation, a mixed clientele but with knowledge bar staff who provide some of the best ales and level of service in the county. Each visit I've been made to feel welcome and at ease. Traditional pubs such as this are often a thing of the past but with this traditional approach it really showcases the best of pub culture in Norwich and Norfolk. A must visit.

The Maids Head Hotel, located in central medieval Norwich, is a 13th-century property with a modern touch. Despite its age, the hotel has been recently renovated and offers 86 warmly furnished rooms blending traditional decor with contemporary gadgets. The hotel's charm lies in its period features such as roll-top baths, exposed beams, fireplaces, and four-poster beds. Guests can enjoy fine dining at the WinePress restaurant which focuses on local Norfolk produce.
It claims to be the oldest hotel in the UK. So, that was a good enough draw to visit this more expensive than most Norwich hotels. I didn't disappoint, with a friendly welcome and intriguing walk through the communal seating areas, restaurant, courtyard and bar. The rooms are a good size with an impressive mural on the wall of the bathroom. The location is excellent for visiting the older parts of Norwich, and the restaurant provided a very good dining experience as well.

We recently spend four nights at the Maids Head Hotel in mid July for a family wedding. The location is excellent and is really close to the centre of Norwich, with lots of pubs and restaurants close by. The train station is only a 15 min walk away. We booked an Executive Double room, and were allocated 403 on the top floor. The room itself was very large, didn't overlook the noisy pub at the front, and had air conditioning - a welcome relief during 29 degree heat, as was the mini fridge! I'm pregnant and found the bed was huge and very comfortable - two singles together so we had plenty of room. There is also a pillow menu. All the staff were lovely, and when I requested additional bath towels for my long hair, the duty manager promptly delivered them. We really appreciated the signs requesting do not disturb the room with the tickboxes to request additional refreshments and toiletries. We paid £150 a night for the room, not including breakfast. We did pay for the breakfast buffet one morning, which cost £15 each and was very nice. However, we spent all other mornings having breakfast at Olives across the room which was phenomenal. The only real negative was our room had a connecting door into the next door, and we had very noisy neighbours for the first two nights that went on very late. There was no real soundproofing, and not only could we hear their conversations, but also every word from their television. We were not aware the hotel had connecting rooms at the time of booking. The hotel was fully booked so it was not possible to move. It was a bit disappointing to pay £150 (not including breakfast) for a bad night's sleep and for future visits we would possibly consider other hotels for this reason.
Rosy L — Google review
The Hotel location was excellent, 30 yds from the entrance to the Cathedral grounds. It had it's own car park and we could reserve a space. There was a lift to all floors but the Reception floor and access to Restaurant and Car Park was on different levels with many small sets of steps. Awkward for suitcases and the elderly. We liked the appearance and atmosphere of the Hotel. Our Executive Double room was very spacious. Disliked · Our room overlooked the car park so we were woken by the Bin Men and deliveries both mornings. The Bar was very shabby but popular. The service in the Restaurant was patchy, lack of information on Gluten Free items, my wife had soup and had to ask for a spoon. One waiter was positively miserable. The furniture in the room was quite shabby and not executive, especially the wardrobe. Very poor quality and badly scratched and worn. The worst things were the dripping shower head, the positively lethal shower tray with tiny shower mat and the inside of the En Suite door. The hinges and around them was black, the floor strip was repaired with brown tape and the toilet roll holder was hanging by a thread. Finally, the mismatched prices for the Sunday and Monday nights seemed hard to justify.

Tricky spiral staircase but worth it....Great junior suite. Really loved the location and on site parking. Unfortunately from here it goes down hill. No real bar, restuarant mirrors much from faulty towers.Great staff trying to deliver the impossible. Unimpressive food, unexplained delays during which we could have cooked our meals. Left before our main course arrived. Quirky hotel, great location good rooms but please eat out. What the difference a day makes. Just had breakfast really attentive and helpful staff. Good food selection and items to order. Made up for last nights experience but still eating out tonight

Excellent location for the Cathedral and to wonder around the city by foot. We got parked in their car park no problem. This was £10 for the night. Breakfast was nice and a wide selection to cater to all tastes. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. My only niggle was that it was very noisy at night with shouting outside all night. (The drunk students) if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs. The old windows don't keep out noise. This might be because we visited on a Saturday. It might not be so bad during the work week. Over all a great stay but i felt it was pricey. £214 per night and the room wasnt anything special. The hallways and lounges were gorgeous though. I have stayed in better for alot less but the area is expensive I guess.

My daughter recently gifted me afternoon tea for my birthday . We arrived 10 minutes before our time slot , no one else in the room just us 2 . Service was sooo slow , 20 minutes a glass of water , 20 minutes after that our tea arrived 10mins later food arrives , then we realise my daughter had forgot to mention I was vegetarian! I said not to worry , if they could just make me a cheese sandwich I would be ok with everything else Apparently this was a difficult task in the kitchen , more waiting while they decided if kitchen staff could butter bread ! Another wait and they came back with more food but it was all vegetarian, not what we asked for ! Requested a manager at this point who more or less said it was because we had not pre booked the vegetarian menu ! Really ?? This is 2025 not 1975 She then went on to tell me they had 52 covers the day before , quite what that had to do with making meat free food I’m not sure . Did I know they have to start from scratch on a Monday ? I could have produced a banquet in the 70 minutes it took to make a sandwich Decided to call it a day then and find a venue that didn’t think vegetarian food was such a challenge My daughter was crying as she felt it her fault that my birthday surprise had ended so badly. Food , not sure I never got to eat anything Service, Slow and really not bothered by customers requests/complaints Venue Ambience , we were rather an inconvenience to them , I emailed a complaint but they didn’t seem interested in that and the reply was a really poor response to what had happened I would post it but really can’t be bothered to waste anymore time on this Could learn a lot from The assembly House or Byfords PS Since discussing this with other people it seems this experience isn’t unique and lots were left unimpressed!

EPERNGHAM Suite could be a lot better. Tea and coffee machine in a wardrobe with no lighting. Meanly only two coffee pods, one decaf. Only two coffee bags. No heated tailrail or even unheated one at all in the bathroom. Only hanging space in the wardrobe, nowhere to put underwear. All in all definitely disappointing for the money. Expected even basics to be better.

The White Horse is a traditional English pub located in the small village of Trowse Newton, just south of Norwich. The pub is also conveniently situated near popular walking routes such as Brancaster Beach and Whitlingham Country Park.
Visited today for a roast with a friend. The roast dinners are served in very generous portions and the meat and veggies were of excellent quality and taste. Plenty of gravy too, for whom it may concern! The atmosphere in the pub is nice and relaxed and the decor fantastic. Clean and well laid out. A large selection of drinks are available and all items are excellent value for money, cheaper than average compared to similar establishments in and around Norwich. There is a small seating area at the front outside, and a nice little beer garden out the back. The staff are all very friendly and the service was 5 star. Lovely to be in a pub with an open fire not far from the city centre. It has a wide range of gin flavours and mulled wine on tap. Went there after a nice walk around Whittingham Lake. The decor was soft and modern while keeping some of it's historical structures. As it is Christmas, it is highly decorated in the Christmas spirit. Only had drinks so can't comment about the food.

I spoke to Anne and explained our autumnal theme but let them use their professional judgment for all the decoration etc. and they absolutely nailed it. We have had such good comments about all the flavours and people can’t believe they are vegan 😁 I will 100% be returning to cupcake & co in future and recommend them to anyone. Amazing and friendly service!

Anne created the most beautiful, delicious cake for our wedding last week. We went for a vegan funfetti cake, due to family allergies, and she couldn't have been more accommodating. The cake looked incredible and it was even better that everyone at our wedding could enjoy it. We had so many compliments - there was nothing leftover at the end of the night! Thank you so much!

From ordering to eating everything was great. The cake was amazing and absolutely delicious. Thank you guys it really made my daughters birthday.

I have been on the hunt for some yummy gluten free goodies, as many gluten free options just don't hit the spot. Well ... Today I purchased a peanut butter, marshmallow brownie and it was simply delicious. You wouldn't have even known it was gluten free as it tasted Amazing !! Thank you - I will be back xx

Anne is amazing. We received a recommendation about using Cupcake & Co and are so grateful we did. Anne created our dream wedding cake (including a gluten free version) and other sweet treats. If you are looking for delicious tasting, beautifully presented cakes and the absolute best service - Cupcake & Co are the right company to cater for your special occasion. Cannot recommend highly enough. Photo credit - Andy Davison photography

Amazing cake shop. Staff are so friendly. Amazing Mochas (best in Norwich!) really good wide selection for vegan and GF treats which I honestly can’t tell the difference between what is special dietary requirement and what is “full fat”. Beautiful decoration and always fantastic service. Family surprised me with my 30th Birthday cake from here and tasted as epic as it looks!

Vegetarian restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Norwich, Wild Thyme is a charming vegetarian and vegan café that effortlessly blends casual dining with an elegant touch. With its inviting bare brick walls and rustic wooden floors, this first-floor bistro offers a delightful view of a picturesque courtyard—perfect for enjoying alfresco meals on sunny days. At Wild Thyme, former Morston Hall head chef Richard Bainbridge elevates plant-based cuisine to new heights by crafting dishes that are both comforting and sophisticated.
What a lovely café. Brilliant food, nice ambience and really nice staff. Service is quick, but not rushed and prices are reasonable. There are some wonderful bottled craft beers from the locality. The food is really fresh and extremely well-presented. If you get a chance, go for it!

Such a lovely cosy atmosphere- perfect for a chilly day. I had a vegan full English and it was tasty and filling. The staff were very friendly. I can't wait to go again.

Excellent food. Massive selection of both savoury mains and puddings - including multiple vegan and gluten free. Busy at lunch so best to come when not on a time restraint. The window tables are a great place to have a relaxing meal.

A hidden gem. A real sun trap in the courtyard. A lovely range of vegetarian and vegan food and an excellent service. Well worth a visit if you have never been.
Adam B — Google review
Fantastic restaurant with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. It recently burned down, but had reopened in its former spot and is better than ever. Probably my favourite restaurant in Norwich, certainly for lunch (and I'm not vegetarian!)

Amazing food. Entertaining service 😁 Great vegan options
Sally L — Google review
Had a lovely time here for my girlfriend's birthday. First of all, the place is beautiful inside and we managed to get a window seat which was perfect. Also the staff were super friendly and attentive. Most importantly, the food was really tasty and felt fresh. One thing I would note is that you check the menu beforehand as I could understand some people finding it a bit hard to make a choice, but personally I thought it was pretty inclusive. If you're looking for a great vegetarian/vegan spot in the heart of Norwich, definitely give this place a go for a tasty, affordable meal out!

We went on a Saturday lunchtime, and we had about a 15-20 minute wait for a table, which is pretty normal for a Saturday, we were told, so if you don't like waiting, maybe go on a different day or try to book a table if you can. Having said that, it was worth the wait. The food is all vegetarian or vegan, and the meals we had were all very good, as were the drinks ( my daughter had the rose and beetroot latte, which sounds very odd but was lovely!). The staff are friendly, and the restaurant is nicely decorated and has a relaxed and informal atmosphere. We didn't have a long wait for our meal, either, which was impressive given how busy they were. I'm not a vegetarian, but I really enjoy the food here, so give it a try.

Kofra is a unique coffee experience in Norwich, with three cafes spread across the city. The Unthank Road location near Chapelfield Gardens focuses on providing excellent coffee without much else. The other two cafes are tucked away in residential areas, offering charm and a sense of discovery to visitors. One of the locations also serves wine, cheese, and cured meats for those looking for more than just coffee.
Really good coffee, lots of options. Exceptional vegan cakes, we had the peanut butter and the tahini chocolate ones and they were amazing. The barista (Richard) was friendly and very knowledgeable. Really great atmosphere and will definitely be back!

Really great iced Mocha! Very trendy little coffee shop with a few outdoor tables.

Visited shop for quick coffee. The service was impeccable and the coffee was absolutely amazing. Nice & friendly atmosphere with good explanation of how coffee is sourced by young man in the shop. Definitely recommend this place!!
Rohit S — Google review
Genuinely outstanding coffee. Flat White was deliciously rich and full flavoured. Filter was smooth, fresh and fruity. As a visitor to Norwich, I haven't had better coffee here. The cakes are rather good too!
Ben L — Google review
Really good coffee and had, in the past had really friendly staff, however been in twice to get beans and order a take away coffee recently and have had a very frosty reception. At first I thought maybe it's because I went in with my children they weren't doing anything or being noisy but I get not everyone wants children around. Same barrister same frosty reception second time without children. No greeting, no 'I'll be with you in a minute'. Didn't ask if I wanted it ground or whole beans. Only a mumbled, reluctant 'have a good day' at the end.
Helen L — Google review
The coffee tastes great, but there are no dates on any of the coffee beans for purchase. A great oversight if you love coffee. I hope this gets remedied.

The best specialty coffee in Norwich!!!! Filter and flat white were both good, the staff is friendly and professional as well! I especially came back to buy some coffee beans on my last day in Norwich, highly recommend if you’d like to try some good coffee in Norwich!
Amily L — Google review
Staff here are always so upbeat and pleasant! Although it’s only small, there’s nice semi-covered seating outside, and very dog friendly. Sometimes there’s a little queue outside, and parking isn’t really ideal so definitely walk, but they care so deeply about their coffee and customer experience is superb. What a lovely little Kofra. Quality cappuccino, yes a little pricier than other local options, but this is a great step up from any coffee in the area. The best coffee in all the golden triangle. Only improvement would be better milk varieties (would love to see almond or another nut milk available!) and some separation of their cake selection. It’s nice they offer vegan and gluten free options, but there is cross contamination between them (stored side-by-side, same implements used) so maybe little boxes or sections would make it allergy friendly.

Broadland View Brewers Fayre is a relaxed family-friendly pub and restaurant chain that offers a delightful mix of classic dishes and international favorites. Ideal for larger groups, like the 14 diners who enjoyed lunch together, it provides attentive service from friendly staff members. While ordering at the bar may not be everyone's preference, it simplifies payment. The menu features straightforward meals typical of Brewers Fayre; highlights include a tasty burger, though some found the club sandwich overly sauced and awkwardly presented.
We had the festive menu and it was absolutely delicious we left very full and satisfied only £16.99 each for 3 courses!! Couldn’t get much better !!

There were 14 of us that rocked up for lunch and we were looked after really well. I am not a lover of choosing what you want and then going up to the bar to order but it did make it easier to pay,. Liz was fab, she was friendly and attentive and was a gem. The food was what you expect from a Brewers fayre, simple food reasonably presented. My burger was great but my colleagues felt that the club sandwich had too much mayo and should have been cut rather than impaled on a knife. We had a great time, thanks

Came on 26.10.2021 had a carvery. Not busy at all. Help yourself to non-alcoholic drinks, free refills for 99p extra. Came on 29.12.2021 had breakfast £9.50 all you can eat. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Place was clean esp the drinks corner. Children's area is £3.50 per child, wasn't too busy or noisy. Not huge but it's enough to keep them busy during the meal. Would come back, free WiFi, free parking and is a good option for a rainy day. 25% off with Blue Light card. Free coke refills.

Had breakfast buffet which was great. Food was hot and wide selection of food and beverage items included. Staff were friendly and attentive. The premises is clean and has good facilities for children including changing room and soft play area which has a small but reasonable entrance fee. Will definitely be going again.

Everything was okay until the food came out one of the eggs was way over cooked and the pork chop/ gammon was part raw as you can clearly see in the picture. The manager asked what I want done and I stated just a refund for the whole table, but extra precaution should be taken place as uncooked or undercooked pork is very dangerous, its a food hazard. I do recommend you check your meat carefully or avoid thos place at all cost. Liz at the children's play area was our server and was extremely friendly and helpful, helping us celebrate our daughters birthday, so the service from her was 100% positive.

Really good solid pub food, I really enjoyed it. Drinks were cold and thirst-quenching. the staff were all excellent and helpful. Safety was paramount so I was happy to see that too.

We had my sons 5th party here on 21st May after being recommended here by someone on Facebook. A nice selection of food as served on platters which worked really well. Liz was the perfect host, very friendly, very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The children all had a lovely time. 🙂
