I am sorry for the bad rating but while the expectations were high the result was very bad. I don't know if that's how it supposed to be but I got the worst brioche for my burger, what I mean ? It was dry like they let it out of the bag for 2 days...this combined with a not so special burger made it a bad experience . I haven't taste so bad brioche burger before. Also the stuff was friendly but when we enter the restaurant many tables were empty but full of leftovers something that wasn't so appealing. For your inconvenience my visit was the previous weekend.

We had lunch here on a Sunday. There was 1 employee working by himself. It took ages to for our order to be ready. The burger was a bit overcooked. Atmosphere is great, but the service wasn’t good on this specific day

Gets a two stars because Burger was passable. Fry oil is changed "every week" from what I understand. Just miserable looking fries. Half self service, normal quality ingredients.

I tried their burger today and do not recommend it. The restaurant was smelly and no other customer was there which was a sign, but i wanted to give the burger a try. The burger was not properly cooked and the bun was not fresh at all. It was totally not worth the money.

We had lunch here without any waiting, as there aren’t many tables. The kitchen is inside the sitting area, which gives a funny and lively ambiance. We tried the spring rolls with shrimp and pork — the shrimp ones weren’t very flavorful and lacked salt, while the pork ones were definitely much better. We also had a chicken sandwich, good for a quick snack, and a noodle salad with beef that was very tasty, though the portion was a bit small. Overall, I recommend it as a fast snack spot or for takeaway.

We had dinner at this Vietnamese restaurant and while the food was delicious, the wait time was quite long. Even after being seated and placing our order, it took over 20 minutes to get our food. However, the pho and the rice dishes were both very good and flavorful, which made the wait worthwhile. If you're not in a hurry, it's a great spot for some authentic Vietnamese flavors.

This place is so yummy we had to come back twice during our trip to the Netherlands! The honey pork noodle was delicious, as well as the fresh shrimp rolls with the peanut sauce. They also had a delicious gluten-free pancake dish. They do not accept Visa or Mastercard but you can pay with a debit card. They also have outdoor seating which is nice on a beautiful day!

Pho soup and rice noodle salad were really good, would recommend. We also tried the classic spring rolls with shrimps , which were also quite nice. This is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants that I have visited, keep up the good work guys!!! The restaurant itself is very small, so reservations are recommended (but only when it is very busy, since they normally operate on a no-reservation policy), as it can be quite challenging to find free space when the streets are crowded.

I got the standard beef pho! It was pretty good but the portion size is quite small. It would be good if they added more noodles. Very limited seating inside and they don’t take most card payments (3 of my cards declined), so bring cash if you can

The only good thing about this place is that the price is quite affordable. Food: not bad but not good either. nothing special. the broth is okay, but toppings ain’t much (maybe bc of the price). i’d give 3/5 Service: here’s all the minuses. a bit rude. not attentive at all. take away our menus immediately when we said we still want to look at the drinks (to order) a bit later. had to call a few times but kind of felt like being ignored since all of them gotta focus on the delivery and not the customers who are waiting on site. needs to have better organization. not the best experience to be honest. 1/5 Might come back to see if this is a one-time occurrence. Food was okay, decent. But the feeling of an underwhelming service still lingers. Hopefully better organization next time.

We went there because of the high reviews, but honestly, we were a bit disappointed. The place is very small—while we were lucky to get a table, it felt cramped and uncomfortable. People kept passing over us or borrowing things from our table, and others were constantly waiting right next to us. It felt a bit too exposed for a relaxed meal. The food 🍲 was decent, but not as good as we expected based on the reviews. The menu was quite limited, and they had already run out of some items like the spring rolls. Also, the tables and menus were sticky, which made me question the cleanliness of the place. All in all, I doubt I would visit again.

Good food overall, had some really salty bites from the tuna unfortunately. Most food was sadly also barely warm or had too much stuff going on. We could see the kitchen from our view and it appears that food was staying at the counter for abit. Pretty interior however the decor and colours can be overwhelming. Also ALOT of chatter, - lots of girls. Outdoor seating looks way more pleasant.

Me and my friend were served by very kind servers that instantly explained everything about the menu and what we could expect for our ‘Around the world’ dinner, got led to the red decorated part of the restaurant with nice ambiance lights and good music. We got the tropical iced tea which is very good and within 10 minutes we already had our food! The salmon ceviche and the carpaccio was for me the best part of the entire dinner, then we got shrimp filled gyoza with a very delicious sauce and popcorn chicken. For me personally the bimi didn’t pair well with the sauce but was good nonetheless, we finished off with korean fried chicken, fries with basilicum sauce and bao buns. Overal we finished everything in 1,5 hours and the service was always very fast and the servers kind. Definitely reccomend this!

A Wonderful Surprise! I didn’t quite know what to expect — it had been a while since I made the reservation, and I had forgotten what the photos looked like. What I did remember was that the menu featured exotic dishes, and we were really looking forward to our lunch. And yes, it definitely exceeded our expectations! My Croque Madame was delicious, as were the shrimp dumplings. The passionfruit mojito mocktail was absolutely amazing — fresh and perfectly balanced. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome. The interior is beautifully styled, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. In short: highly recommended. We will definitely be coming back! 15/07/2025 Just like the first time, we had another wonderful dining experience. This time we tried different dishes, and they were all delicious. The cocktails were fantastic — my favorites are the Bubblicious Daiquiri, the Pornstar Martini Slush, and of course the Passionfruit Mojito. The service was excellent as well. I had booked for 1:00 PM, but due to public transport issues we arrived 30 minutes late. I had informed them by email, and it was no problem at all upon arrival. We’re definitely not done dining here 🤭 and will be back again soon! 25/10/2025 It was my third time here and my girlfriend’s second, and once again we had a delicious meal! The dishes are super tasty and prepared with great care. We’ll definitely be coming back, because we haven’t tried everything yet. Highly recommended!

Last night, I went out for dinner with four girlfriends at The Street Food Club in Utrecht, and wow – what an incredible experience it was! From the food to the interior and the overall vibe: everything was spot on. We chose the shared dining menu for €35 per person, which I highly recommend if you’re going with a group. For that price, you get a wide variety of small, surprising dishes, each with its own character and often served with a delicious matching sauce. The food is truly special and unique, the kind of dishes you won’t easily find anywhere else. Think creative combinations, bold flavors, and presentation that turns your table into a colorful celebration. What made the dinner even more memorable is that at the end of the menu, you get to pick one dish to have again, a fun and generous touch that really makes the experience stand out. The service was also excellent. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, they came to our table quickly, and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. The interior is absolutely stunning. Every room is decorated differently, each with its own unique, eclectic style. The design is playful, bold, and full of personality. The music matched the atmosphere perfectly, fun, upbeat, and trendy without being too loud. The location is also great, right on the corner across from the church, making it easy to find and adding to the charm of the place. The only thing for us as long dutch people, was the space for our legs. The table was quite small, which caused that we didn’t have enough space for our legs. In short: great atmosphere, delicious food, beautiful decor, and top-notch service. The Street Food Club is a place I’ll definitely come back to, and one I’ll be recommending to others for sure.

Lovely atmosphere! I went there with a group for brunch in the middle of summer. We tried both indoor and outdoor seating both were very pleasant. We ordered the shared Asian menu, which was delicious. The staff were lovely and flexible with our reservation.

So its the first time trying all vegetables based dishes for dinner and i have to say i was surprised. The food tasted good and it was pleasant. Only 3 stars for service because it took me 3 hours to dine (5 dishes) and i had to push to bring me plates. Overall ok

Very good plant-based restaurant. The atmosphere was very cozy, the staff was welcoming. The food was nice- apparently the menu is seasonal and they change it often. I had the 5 course dinner. I loved 3 dishes, 2 were ok. Overall the experience was good.

Incredibly bland food with no taste whatsoever. I was told the vegetable bowl would be warm, it was served on a pumpkin puree base that was straight from the fridge. Unfortunately, the dish I ordered has never seen seasoning in its life. The bread I asked for on the side was also chewy sourdough. It’s a decent place to work out of, but I’m disappointed with the food as I had been really excited to try it. It perhaps also has to do with my palate, I’m not used to bland unseasoned food.

Went here alone and was only planning to drink some chai latte and have some snack while (finally) continuing to read my novel, but ended up with a 3-course dinner, and I'm glad I did!! My first time trying Aardperen, I love how they combine it with a savoury chips. Another memorable one for me is how they cook the mushrooms, echt lekker!. Dessert was bread pudding i think? With ice cream and mousse. A refreshing palate cleanser. I got seated at a very comfy couch, quite secluded. 2 hours just flew by. I was quite lucky to get a seat despite not having a reservation. And the staff are lovely! Top notch service.

What a wonderful restaurant! The food, the location (you can sit outside next to the beautiful canal), and the staff—everything was perfect. The menu is varied, with a quick and easy choice between four or five courses. Very tasty and inventive food; the chefs were all fantastic. Compliments to everyone working here. Wow wow wow! This place was full of colour, life, good energy and very tasty food at a very reasonable price. Each plate was more and more enjoyable and tasty with a wide range of flavours, from very noticeable to much more subtle that’s only a finely tuned tongue would appreciate. This is my number one place to eat in all of Utrecht and I can’t wait to come back. Thanks for being so kind and lovely to two tourists.

Best Gluten free pasta I have ever had. Al dente, bursting with flavor and the atmosphere made us feel like we were at a family dinner. The service was so friendly and the entire experience was magical! Highly recommend.

Absolutely magnificent dishes (Pappardelle con ragù de Capriolo) - venison stew with red wine, in my case. Which has been very delicious with incredibly delicate cuts and wonderful pasta. And equally qualitative desserts as well - Sgroppino al limone here (both pictured and the latter best googled for an accurate description). Had a very good red wine with the main dish and would highly recommend this place and their selection. It's not much, but as so often - quality over quantity! Thank you.

I loved the food here and the service was great too. I was going to leave a lesser star review as they made my wife cry, but she was crying with happiness as the gluten free pasta was "the best". Now she's talking about opening a gluten free restaurant. Please pray for me.

A really nice place! They don't have a big menu, but that's sometimes also nice to have. My boyfriend and I had an amazing dinner at this place with really nice staff. Parking is hard to find or expensive in the area, but a walk in Utrecht is also nice!! Definitely recommend people to try it out here

If you're not looking for somewhere complicated to eat at, here is a good spot. -Penne rigate all'arrabiata -Ravioli al tartufo in crema -Spaghetti al nero con ragu di capesante Had to say that the Ravioli is the tastiest with its mushroom interior but the portion was pretty low. Amazing spot for gluten free and plant based food. The whole menu is gluten free, so perfect for celiacs. We sat out on the terrace on a lovely warm evening and had the sharing deal for 2 - 8 of the small plates - which turned out to be tons of food! Excellent service and a good selection of low alcohol beer if you are into that. Definitely recommend!

Almost everything is plant-based 💚 we had the breakfast platter and the vegan ricotta was a positive surprise (I don’t usually like vegan cheeses), the cheesecake was just perfect. The atmosphere is calm and chill, and the staff attentive and efficient

The food looked amazing, but we were a bit disappointed. Nearly a year ago, it was so much better. This time, the dishes weren’t hot enough, and something from the menu was missing. No one told us beforehand, and we only realized it after the meal arrived and asked.

I was recommended by my friend and I was not disappointed. I ordered sunflower risotto and I really liked it. The menu is very different but also interesting and delicious. It's a vegetarian/ vegan restaurant, so it was good for me as I am also lactose intolerant. The ambiance was also good, though I didn't get a chance to sit outside as it was raining. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something new to try.

Food was fairly tasty but honestly the service was shocking. The young girl serving us was cheerful but clueless about almost everything. She needed constant chasers for drinks and food orders, and then she served my (sober) friend with alcohol beer - which she drank before realising - after she’d clearly ordered 0.0. There are far better veggie places to go in Utrecht so we won’t be back.

Sooo good! I ordered Gys cilbir and even before tasting, the aroma of the spices already got me. Then I tasted it and just loved it. Everything in the dish was flavorful and you can really tell the ingredients are high quality. Now, don’t expect a very large portion, but it was still so satisfying! I also tried one of the juices and the cake of the moment – if I could, I would just keep ordering more dishes. The atmosphere inside and outside is really nice, and the staff are very pleasant. Super recommended, and waiting to come back

Decent selection of classic good Belgian beers. Some waiters were really friendly and professionals, others I think they were looking for shortcuts, but overall nice experience nothing too bad. I loved the place inside, drinking a beer there was really good. I loved that each beer had his own correct paired glass. One of the nice waiter also stated that they didn't have any Guinness anymore, so suggested to have another stout; then corrected himself saying that they didn't have any glasses for it, so this is definitely a positive point for their honesty and professionalism. Food wise I think they can improve, my salad was everything but a salad. Overall would be a 4/5, but I didn't like the approach towards some people. Place inside was almost empty, we were there for lunch, most tables were reserved for the evening. Those entering were first suggested to sit outside or in a not reserved table, even if more than 6 hours were between current time and the one marked on the table. I also saw one poor guy that just wanted to see the tap beers at the counter, friendly being sent back outside with the reason that tap beers were marked on the menu. He just wanted to have a look 😅 Then when a tourist group came in with their guide, they could just roam around taking pictures and videos while talking, like it's not a restaurant. It's fine and understandable, the place is very beautiful and probably with rich history, but it was funny to see the difference.

Incredible place. I was surprised the moment I got inside. It’s a huge and nice place. I never imagined to see a Bar/Restaurante in a church. Despite being a bit noise when it is crowded, it’s outstanding! Service incredible and friendly. Carpaccio one of the best I ever had!

This Belgian beer café is a hidden gem with a remarkable setting. It appears to be housed in a former church, which gives the entire space welcoming feel. The location alone makes it worth a visit! I had a few bitterballen with my drink, which were crispy, hot, and just what you’d hope for. The staff was super friendly and impressively quick, even though the place was quite busy. The beer selection is massive, one of the most extensive I’ve seen. Whether you’re a beer enthusiast or just curious to try something new, you’ll definitely find something here.

While it's a unique setting with great beer and good food, I found the natural acoustics of the church amplified the sound of everyone too much during rush hour. At some point I had to shout for my friend to hear what I was saying. If I went at a quieter time I would probably have had a much better experience. Recommended: If you're looking for a unique or new experience. Not Recommended: Big groups, business meetings, during busiest hours (unless you don't mind the noise)

Cool place to go and have a beer - they have a huge selection, so you won't be disappointed. The staff are friendly and quite helpful. Reservations recommended, since this place gets very busy (and noisy). They don't do take-aways, but the food is delicious so you probably won't need to take any home :)

I come here often with the people I love because of the great food and nice location (outside). But today was not a good experience. It took the staff almost 15 minutes to attend us, followed with treating us with annoyance and dismissal due to a misunderstanding regarding our booking — it felt like we were being “bounced around” and left to wait. Unfortunately due to this we chose to leave. Great food and location, but (today) really ruined by the service.

Service and ambiance were excellent. The food was average. Vegetarian plates were tasty, but the meat and fish were overcooked and quite bland. Enjoyed a couple of the hot pinchos. There were no tables outside initially, but we were later given the option to move when one became free. That was a nice gesture, but wish we could have reserved directly outside.

Everything we ate was delicious!! The service was also exceptional, its like they knew exactly when you needed something before you even have to ask. The only thing that could have been better was the seats, as many are wooden bar stools which are seated very close to each other and if you sit there you are grazed by personel walking by. I highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again soon!

We have been here two times before the pandemic. Both times we enjoyed the cold and warm pinchos very much. This time we also ordered some tapas from the menu and a "jarra" of sangria. We liked the sangria very much (not too strong and nice balance of sweetness). The tapas (ribs, ceviche and croquetas) were really tasty. The variety of cold pinchos was nice and we loved the combinations of ingredients on each of them. The warm pinchos were very good too! It definitely remains on our list of favorite restaurants! During the weekend it should be packed but we came here during a weekday at 5pm (when they just Open) and it was nice and quiet and we sat downstairs for the first time.

Came here for a team brunch and left with a full stomach and a slightly dizzy head (thanks to one dangerously good cocktail — I don't even drink!). The menu leans heavily on seafood, red meat, some mysterious veggie options, and pizza. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share — great idea, because everything was worth trying. The pizza’s solo-sized, not enough for one person. Loved the sparkling water, quick service, and dreamy ambience. ⚠️ Warning for white-meat-only folks: Well... may the chicken gods be with you, because chicken was hiding. Possibly on vacation. This is a red-meat-and-seafood playground. Plan accordingly.

I came in on a rainy Friday night. The hostess never arrived at the stand so I parked myself outside on a wet table. My waiter was attentive but I also suspect got super busy as the night went on as I ended up with someone else. Croquettes were perfectly done and escargot was excellent. Very popular - I’d suggest you maybe make a reservation if possible so they will acknowledge your existence.

A fancy to dine in without fancy pricing. I didn't like the corn chicken as it was explained to me that some mousse was injected into the meat... The result was part of the chicken meat is mushy and meat colour was off ....it looked to me undercooked but waiter told me it wasn't. I didn't eat it. Fish was good.

It's a good option for eating in Utrecht, when the food is clearly German, with a decent beer selection and a good ambience not only outside but also inside. The negative point could be the slow service bringing the food due to the kitchen. Besides that, the waiter's service is really nice. We were attended for a Mexican girl which makes us very comfortable and always pending on our table.

We went here in a group and were presented with a group menu. The options were limited but the food and presentation was nice. The 0% beer was ok and the vegetarian wurst plate was a bit bland. Service was great and ambience was quite pleasant.

Great location by the canal! Has a nice atmosphere and very friendly service. Generous pours, though the house wine needs to be improved, was very challenging finishing the wine, that said they have other options on the menu by the bottle.

Very nice restaurant with German food. You can sit by the canal or inside with a cosy atmosphere. If you're thirty you can order a one liter glass of beer. Genuine German food like sweine haxe, hönchen, schnitzel and apfelstrudel. Friendly staff and the waiter came with complimantare schnapps and joined us for a drink.

My wife and I are from the US and we visited the Netherlands back in September 2024. We ate some great Dutch food on this trip, and we figured it would be good to also try some German food while we were relatively close to Germany since it's hard to find German food in the US. This place gave us a memorable experience. We sat outside near the canal. The views were gorgeous and the food was delicious. My wife had the cheese fondue with bread and vegetables, and I had the bratwurst and currywurst with sauerkraut mashed potatoes. The German beer paired very well with the food. We would love to come back here if we ever get the chance!

It’s Okay. Nothing More. The Lionfield guys on TikTok would have a field day being outraged over this sandwich. This is the Mario sandwich. So many, many, many people have told me it’s the most amazing thing ever. I’d never tried it—I don’t like queuing during my lunch break. And cash? I’m fine with paying taxes 😉. But I just got back from Austria, where they love cash as much as Mario does. And I was in a good mood. So bring on the Mario! First off, the queue isn’t bad. They work like mad to fill orders. The Italiaanse bol was still warm. Good times! But what the hell is an Italiaanse bol anyway? I’ve never seen them in Italy, have you? That said, fresh bread is and will always be delicious. Mario fills the sandwich with a single slice of nondescript Dutch cheese—because, according to Dutch food law, thou shalt never serve more than one slice of cheese. Then comes some boring Dutch “salami” and a mildly spicy salami that actually deserves the name. The slices are thick, but I’d rather have them thinly sliced and get more of it. Topped off with a generous helping of pickled raw carrots and radish. This is, truly, the most Dutch sandwich. Everything is pitched down enough so no one can dislike it. And at €5, Dutch people won’t complain. There’s nothing really wrong with it, but it’s boring. Utrecht has so much more to offer than this. As always, everyone gets five stars.

Really worth it. They make their own bread and it is probably the best bread for sandwich you can try. Crispy but fluffy, it smells and tastes like good Neapolitan pizza dough. The rest of the ingredients are mostly great quality too (maybe except the sandwich that carries the shop name, a bit counterintuitive). Overall way more than you can ask for a quick and cheap grab.

This place was recommended to me by a local. It’s been around since 1977. I ordered the classic “Mario” sandwich. The meat was good, and the bread was absolutely delicious! I’m not a carrot fan and didn’t realize it came loaded with raw shredded carrots. I wouldn’t say the sandwich was life changing, but it’s a popular local spot with delicious bread. Awesome self baked bread with lots of filling got this place famous in Utrecht. But I am more of a fan of their Salami Pizza. It was fluffy and tasted fresh, in short it was the best Pizza I ever had!

The most delicious sandwich! The ingredients make this so good fresh baked buns still warm with the best filling, I had the Mario you have to try this one. Nice spot to sit and eat the sandwich just by the bridge. Nice friendly staff there to help you along with the choices. Great value as well! Cash only so come prepared.

An eclectic setting. We had lasagna and schnitzel. The lasagna was good and the schnitzel very average, part of it was not cooked through but the chips were very good. To be honest I wouldn’t eat a meal here but would go back to enjoy a drink. Staff were good.

The food is not bad. I love the lemon cake a lot!!! The beef burger is also nice. I like the vibe in this bar. It’s very cozy and well decorated.

I really like the weekly jamsession on monday when random musicians join the stage and play all types of music together, and also the food is really good and not too expensive! It is a perfect spot next to the old center of utrecht and next to the Dom Tower.

Very good service. The €6.50 toast & coffee/tea & juice is a fantastic deal. Yummy big toast with lots of flavourfull filling! ... came back for dinner and it was equally amazing and filling!👌🤩

Really nice place, conveniently located under the Dome. Live music (jam session) on Mondays, excellent food and warm attention from the staff, Dre in particular is very attentive to everyone's needs and super kind. Highly recommended!

Pretty good experience. Went to play Tak with some acquaintances, we sat next to the Dom, wonderful sight. Only negative thing is I ordered a burger without bacon, but got the bacon anyway. Not too big of a deal, but as someone who doesn't eat it, it was a bit of a disappointment.

We visited the restaurant during lunch hours and were pleased to find that there was plenty of seating available. The atmosphere was calm and inviting. We ordered the lunch-sized pizzas, which were served promptly. They tasted delicious and fresh. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, adding experience. Lastly, the restaurant itself was clean, and nicely decorated. Overall recommended.

This is our second visit to Vegitalian. Our first visit was last year & we shared a pizza & salad. It was delicious. This year back in Utrecht we booked to ensure we got a table. After a lot of deciding (vegetarians don’t usually get this much choice) we went for four of the smaller plates & shared. Started with cheesy garlic bread, not pictured as we ate it so fast. The next three dishes took a bit longer than expected but were worth the wait. Gnocchi, aubergine parmigiana & warm vegetable bowl. Interior decoration is beautiful & service good.

Delightful gem of a breakfast place. Not only is the decor gorgeous ,the food is delightful and the service excellent. I had the brioche and was not disappointed. Loved the place so much I went back three times while I was in Utrecht . Definitely a place not to miss .

If you're going here for the glutenfree pizza, I wouldn't recommend it. The flavour of the middle is delicious, but most of the pizza itself is a hard and dried out crust that is more suitable as a murder weapon than sustenance. Service and atmosphere is great though! And I think all the other food from my companions was delicious. The chocolate mousse does do a good job of redeeming the pizza experience!

Absolutely amazing experience! The pizza was bursting with flavor – fresh ingredients, perfectly baked crust, and a creative variety of vegetarian toppings that really impressed us. You can tell they put a lot of love into what they do. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Was a special revisit back to this Gem of a place especially with two lovely friends to share it with too, as my wife and I had already been previously before and vowed to come back. Met the lovely Oisin who gave us a great opportunity to sit outside in the glorious sun and watch the day go by. The food was delicious, even better than what we remembered last time we visited, and the best reason we enjoyed it? It was plant based and you could taste the freshness of all the ingredients and they promise the pizzas have to be made within 20mins for keeping that lovely flavour and heat to enjoy it even more. Our dear friends remarked afterwards it was the best pizza they had ever tasted and thanked us for taking them there. I can’t stop recommending this place it truly is a fab place to eat and I have to mention the pistachio tiramisu which was incredible but all in all a wonderful place to have to eat at if you ever get the chance. Thanks to Oisin and the wonderful staff who made our visit so enjoyable.

This place is amazing. Great atmosphere, great service but most of all the food was outstanding. Super tasty dishes and good value for the money. The friendly chef Lino and his sous chef Dex made our day. Were were treated as kings.

We went here with a group of roughly 40 people after an event for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and the vegan/vegetarian alternatives were very tasty. We had a blast and then staff was very friendly and fast in a good way. The prices were what you would expect for an average cafe/pub so in general I'd definitely recommend this place to check out.

We had the 3course dinner and it was amazing. Also the drinks were very good and fast served. The overal ambience was very nice and welcoming, but the acoustics were not very good. For a deaf person it is quite hard to follow the conversation at the table.

Service is mediocre. I would expect waiter to make a round and offer drinks if your glass in empty. Price for wine is way too high - 5 eur per glass. Though pizza is delicious- one of the best I ve tried in Utrecht.

Loved the food here, way more and way better then you'd expect for the price your paying. Ambiance is great too, although there isn't a lot of light from the lights. It might add to the ambiance of course but it might be cracked up just a little for my taste. All in all good food, good place and will come again!

Average bar where you can get a cheap dinner. Food is okay, although quantity is a bit low. Nice place to go for a casual dinner with a friend. We had to wait quite some time for our main dish, and a drink was forgotten.

We had to reserve more than a week in advance. The food was delicious, very well balanced and distinctive flavors. The main dishes are companied with a set of small side dishes, which complement your hungry and enhances the experience when trying Indonesian food. It is not cheap, but quite worthy, the service was kind and helpful. We will return to explore other tasty dishes.

I just had dinner at Restaurant Blauw Utrecht, and it was an absolute treat. The beef rendang was outstanding—tender, richly spiced, and full of deep, comforting flavor. Easily one of the best rendangs I've had in a long time. What really elevated the meal were the assorted side dishes that came with it. Each one offered something unique—sweet, spicy, crunchy, or creamy—and together they created a perfectly balanced and satisfying plate. A special thank you to Djörvin, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. His warmth and genuine friendliness truly made my day. It’s rare to feel so well looked after when dining alone, and I left with a full belly and a big smile. Highly recommended—I'll definitely be returning!

Excellent Food in this busy restaurant. Prices seem totally right for what you get. The wine menu is okay. You should try the Indonesian style Negroni, really nice!

I've been here a few times and it makes a big difference when you come. If you sign up for one of the earlier time slots (~6pm) it feels rushed and a bit like an assembly line. When I've gone for a later reservation (8pm) it's been a much more relaxed and enjoyable vibe. I also find the food a little inconsistent, it's always good, but I feel like there's not as much distinction between the dishes' seasonings on the rijsttafel as I would expect from such a highly regarded restaurant. So it's a nice place, but I do find it a little overhyped.

Excellent Indonesian cuisine. The rijstaffel was amazing, we had it for three of us. It was prepared to perfection. It’s a quite a large amount of food served on many side dishes. Service here was excellent as well. I’d recommend making a reservation, it was full and on a Monday evening soon after opening.

Crispy delicious fries freshly prepared in front of us with truffle mayonnaise made our day at Utrecht! :) Reasonably priced and centrally located. The service was quick and the staff was very friendly.

They won the world championship, what else can I say except that the spiced fries were indeed exceptional. The chicken bites were also really tender from the inside and crispy on the outside. And one tip: seriously shake it well :)

Wish we had a better experience with the fries ☹️ service was fine, there are very few seats inside (it’s a small shop) and they only take PIN which is normal in the city center. Fries were good until the bottom when they started to taste very stale, probably because the oil was either a day or a few days old :/ Would not recommend going towards the end of the day

I always come here whenever I’m in Utrecht. The organic fries are great, the peanut sauce is delicious, and the bitterballen are so tasty. Highly recommended!

We ordered online, the portions are way too small for the price we pay. The fries are floppy and the boxes in which the loaded fries are brought are less then half full. This is not by far worth almost 15 euros for a loaded fries portion.

Okay i’m not sure what i’m missing here? The hype with these fries are unwarranted IMO. You order by kiosk only, line goes pretty quick. Fries are mediocre at best. Skip it. Expensive and not great.

Had the sliders as I wasn’t sure what to get, did not disappoint! Great selection of burgers to suit anyone. My partner had the vegetarian burger and it was also a hit. On first sight it seemed like a typical 2/3 menu burger joint but their variety on one dish was amazing. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The place was clean and so were the toilet facilities. 10/10

I’ve been visiting this place for nearly 7 years now, and I still look forward to every visit. The quality of the ingredients and the care they put into their food are always outstanding. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with the feel of a cozy bar that’s perfect for catching up with friends or colleagues. The staff are consistently friendly and happy to help when you’re deciding what to order. Hands down, my favorite spot for burgers!

Nice place for burgers. The offering is different, as in creative. The ingredients are somewhat unusual but still very much traditional if that makes sense. A bit expensive but they bring a good amount of fries so you will leave full. Their 3 mini burgers platter is quite a cool concept. One of the better places for burgers in Utrecht

Nice and good beef meat burgers with customization options (I liked adding jalapenos). Served with some fries or/and cole. Of course always served with ... a pickle! :-) Also vegetarian options, didn't try those. Quality wines available as well, we enjoyed a glass of Carmenere. High price for a burger, but it's high quality meat (not just a regular burger).

Last visited May 2024 Dined solo at the bar, so a big positive in my books. Ordered the special and was not disappointed. The burger was nicely cooked and the sauce was perfect.

We had a lovely dinner experience with attentive hosts and servers, fluffy bread and appetizers before, followed by a four course meal which we really enjoyed! The vegetarian menu was innovative and delicious, don’t skip the sweet dessert! We loved the truffle risotto, creamy cauliflower, assortment of vegetables, and sorbet with the golden rose. I went for the 4 course vegetarian and almost liked everything. However as a general theme, everything was too creamy for my taste. Staff and service was both great. The price is also OK. Wine also fine.

Second time Florent for me, food was ok but the two mains were unfortunately too much alike. Too much of a truffle oil aroma, glad we didn’t add the fresh supplement of truffle. Wine pairings were under par, very little explaining “this red wine is from Australia”. Ok. The first time was great, it’s too bad some elements were missing like the great host I had the first time.

Great food and staff, we really enjoyed the tikka masala, fish and lamb briani. Honestly the food was really good, good view on the canal and service was excellent. Its probably a bit pricy but i would recommend it.

We went to India Port on a week day evening with a group of indian colleagues. The wait staff was very accommodating, helping us have a table near the water for 6 without a reservation. The food was good and well seasoned, ranks on my top 3 indian restaurants in NL. Our indian colleagues agreed it was authentic and we had a great time together. I would 100% come back when I visit Utrecht again. From the picture you can see that it was good, there was nothing left 😅

We have been here three months ago and been busy to share about the experience. To be honest, I was having super high expectations because I was a loyal customer to the Ouderkerk location and I was expecting the same quality. I came all the way here because the one in Ouderkerk was closed and the flavor was not as good unfortunately. The butter chicken tasted like tomato soup, super sweet. The samosas were also not very tasty. It’s really sad that my favorite Indian restaurant is gone. Hopefully you decide to open again in Ouderkerk.

Last night we had an incredible evening at India Port! From the moment we stepped through the door, we knew we were in for a treat. This family-run restaurant, located right on the edge of a canal, offers not only a beautiful setting but also truly exceptional food. We ordered the chef’s plate India Thali, (chicken version) — a delicious variety of flavors that had our tastebuds dancing. The service was just as impressive. A special shout-out to Victoria for her attentive and thoughtful care throughout the evening. The owner also stopped by our table to personally check in, which made us feel especially welcome and appreciated. If you’re in Utrecht, we highly recommend visiting India Port. Glorious food, perfect for a cosy time despite damp evening in the mists. The staff were lovely in a non-overbearing manner and served a succession of perfectly realised dished. Views of the Dom tower and lights playing off the canal reflections made it beautiful

This place is literally awesome! I really liked the environment, the design of the club. The cocktail's glasses are too original together with their names. It's preferable to come here with 4 or more people! The reservation also is preferred because it's always full, now you know why! Cheers

A Pleasant Surprise! We originally came just for drinks, and I have to say—the frozen Porn Star Martini was the best I’ve ever had! It was so good, we decided to stay for food, and I’m so glad we did. Everything was absolutely delicious—we even ended up repeating a few dishes! The entire experience was lovely. I only wish we had a place like this where I live. Compliments to the entire team! :)

Went there for a few drinks and snacks. Chickenwings took over half an hr and when we asked about it, it came out immediately. It's a bit of a cramped seat outside but it's cute by the water. Cocktails are done well with matching containers to the drinks.

I've been there a fair few times at various points throughout the day. The cocktails are great, had a few of them. I like the variety, the descriptions which are offered, and that there appears to be different persons working which add their own personal input, like having their own drink on offer. I am also quite fond of rum so any place where I can indulge accordingly is a plus. The atmosphere is very cool, as is the presentation of the drinks. The staff is pleasant, the price is decent.

Caught Billy Strings for 2 consecutive shows in the Rhonda theater at the Tivoli. Great place. Design keeps everyone close to the performers. Sound was off the charts. Looking forward to my next gig there!

Honestly this place is very nice and well designed. Went to see foster the people and while there are like 2.000 people the place feel intimate. Staff very friendly, smoking balcony, affordable drinks, great location! But why on earth do you serve Bud and Pepsi?? Both the worst brands on the planet!

First time in the Tivoli. I had the pleasure of attending Ensemble Hemiolia's "Concerti Grossi XXL – Corelli and Melani" concert. The venue's seating is steeply raked, which guarantees a fantastic line of sight from every seat. The acoustics were equally impressive. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere; it's wonderful to see how much passion the Dutch public has for early music—a level of enthusiasm that is quite distinct compared to audiences in Germany.

Really great venue with multiple entrances and a few stages from what I heard. We had an incredible time here and would return!

Probably my favourite music venue in the NL. Large variety of concerts on offer pretty much every day of the week, friendly and helpful staff and only a few minutes walking distance from Utrecht Central Station

Beautiful venue eith a good acoustic for a concert. The architectural design is quite original and the building is very close to Utrecht main station, 5 minutes walk top. Just come when the doors open if you want to sit down in the Groet Zal and preferably, in a convenient spot.

I went here with a colleague and we had the Jasmijn banquet. The food was absolutely delicious and the 6 courses were sufficient to fill me up. Service is friendly and atmosphere is good. There's also seating outside in the front of the restaurant, albeit that that is on a fairly busy road. We did make a reservation and it was pretty busy, so definitely reserve to guarantee a table. Parking can be found in the streets surrounding the street that the restaurant is on. I thought it was good value for money and will definitely be back if I'm in Utrecht again.

The food was very tasty, the service friendly and attentive. There are plenty of choices for meat eaters, vegetarian, vegans and gluten free eaters. The price for the dishes is on the higher end, but you get great flavors. I found some dishes a bit too sweet, but that’s a personal thing

We had an AMAZING night! Lovely staff, great atmosphere and delicious food from start to finish! We chose some spicy dishes but they were perfectly balanced. The dumplings and chocolate cake are to die for. We’ll be back soon!

Had a great time at Jasmijn & ik! We went for the vegetarian chef’s choice menu — each course was unique and full of flavor. The main was a bit on the sweeter side for our taste, and by then we were already so full that dessert felt a bit much. We tried two desserts (lemongrass & matcha, and sticky rice with mango) — not really our thing, but that’s just personal preference. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, but it did get quite loud, so chatting wasn’t the easiest. Overall, a lovely experience with creative dishes and a warm atmosphere!

Excellent food and service.

The industrial interior is pretty cool and welcoming, complemented by young and friendly staff. The fusion food is tasty, though the portions are more focused on flavor than quantity. We were happy with the desserts especially Red Beetroot cake.

A mixed bag of food quality and service. Some foods were good, but most mediocre and hidden behind spicy herbs. Service was very different between whatever waiter was helping the table (it switched all the time). The atmosphere was pretty bad, incredibly loud and the industrial setting can work a lot better.

Update October 2018: unfortunately I have to correct the review from 5 to 3 stars after a recent visit. Let me start of by saying the the food is still of incredibly high quality, so hands up for the kitchen. However, the staff is just too below average to match the good food. Although friendly, staff is flow, does not take away used items, let's you sit for ages with empty glasses and forgets things. The waitress even spilled beer from a bottle we ordered and did not give us a new bottle (although 10% of the beer was spilled). Would not come here again anytime soon unfortunately, potty because the venue is so cool. Very nice spot in Utrecht. Food is excellent and portions are quite decent. They also have a nice outside area to enjoy the sun. Definitely a nice place to visit with a larger group but also as couple. Special tip: order the fried bread as starter. Very good!

The place has a great vibe with a loud, industrial feel that works well for a night out. Service was good and the menu had a decent range of food and drinks. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the reviews. The rice wasn’t cooked properly, the sashimi smelled off, and the salad was bland. A couple of dishes were okay, but overall it felt pretty average. It might have been a one-off, but we're not planning to go back.

It’s a fairly industrial setting. Service was excellent and the lovely server gave us advice on nightlife etc. food is small plates so include the chicken and rice combo. Order 2 portions of the dumplings. They come in threes and you don’t want to fight over the spare

For a place with a look and feel like this I didn't expect the food too be so good. That's why I gave 4 stars because the table service is not too great especially for the number of people running around. They could have earned 25% more at least if they paid attention. The look and feel of this restaurant is very cool. Definitely a place to visit for the food. Asian, Eastern mix. Nice mocktails too. Espresso beans light burned (way too much acidity for my taste)

Very good restaurant, we chose the menu of 10 dishes for 35 euros and it was really great! We were expecting small dishes but the amount is actually a lot for the price asked. The service was also great and quick bringing the dishes 100% recommended!!

If your a lover of tasting all different flavors and dishes, this is your go to restaurant. Their 10-course surprise dinner is so fun to do. Prices are also good. During covid lockdown we also ordered the 10-course meal at home, also very yum and easy to warm up. Hope the restaurants open up soon again because having the dinner there is even better :-)

Fun food, fun atmosphere, fun ppl Update: My last trip to Mama wasn't as good as the first one - was there last Sunday with friends and both the kitchen and bar seemed overwhelmed. It took forever to get our orders and on multiple occasions only to be told that you are out of ingredients (salmon, beet etc). So two visits and two opposite experience :(

Nice outside area with great food and 2 for 1 gins on Thursdays! This place caught My eye since they’ve renovated. Their gin tonics are great! I’m not too much of a fan tonic water so it’s really nice that they also have a ginger beer based one. Their sushi rolls were really tasty! The salmon portion was generous and fresh. Really interested to trying the rest of their menu. The only downside is the food is quite pricey (15 euros a roll) and when sitting outside (at-least for us) the service could be improved. Waiters were nice but we did wait a long time for our next orders and they did forget something we ordered. All in all, I’d still go back to try the rest of the menu but will wait for a nice occasion!

Overall, the place is nice and the food quality is okay, but if you’re really hungry I wouldn’t recommend it since the service is extremely slow. 🐢 From the name I expected a Lebanese 🇱🇧restaurant, but the interior feels more Tunisian 🇹🇳, and even the menu and flavors aren’t quite Lebanese. Still, the food is decent and acceptable overall.

Not bad. Correct chicken dish, with salad and a little rice side and some sauces. The main plane was correct. On the other hand, the portion of french fries that we ordered on the side was exorbitant, they eat 2 of the portion.

The first time I was there was with a big group, they have a big indoor space for hosting some private events. The food selected was very nice. The second time was there for lunch, super long waiting time. It took more than 35mins for lunch to be served. Also the tables around us were waiting. So we had to order 2 drinks before the food arrived, good for their money, but not nice experience. It was all cold and pre-cooked food, not sure why it could take so long. And it wasn’t very busy at all.

If I could give a zero star, I wouldn’t hesitate.. we went there looking for authentic Lebanese grill..2 families, first we were refused to sit in the area inside which was better for the 2 strollers we had, even though no one was there and the table was not reserved! Coming now to the worst part..the FOOD, we are familiar with Mediterranean food and we know how it should taste and look.. the mixed grill (32Euro per person) was a plate with the following: rice, one skewer of chicken kabob, one skewer of a black kafta ( tasted so bad) and 3 pieces of chicken wings!!!! And inedible old salad that we didnt touch. No beef kabob or lamp chops or lamp kabob..but chicken wings!!! We additionally ordered the batata hurra, it was ok, the mezza plate, tabouleh was bad, baba ganough and hummus were ok.. I don’t recommend the restaurant at all, unless they change the quality of food..and make the grill decent..

The food, service and atmosphere are good, but I went to this restaurant multiple times and I have never found soap in the men's bathroom. I even told them once and the next time I went I didn't find any. It makes me question the general hygiene of the restaurant. Would've given 4 or more stars if it wasn't for this issue.

The food is really good. The staff has become increasingly friendly over the years. I've ben there frequently recently and they're all extremely friendly. Just don't go if you're in a hurry :) but I'd recommend it.

We had a great meal here! We ordered three BLT burgers, which came with fries and salad, plus a portion of mixed fried snacks. Everything was delicious and tasty. The atmosphere inside looked very nice, but we chose to sit outside to enjoy the view of Utrecht’s canals. The staff was super nice and friendly.

Went with a group of ex colleagues to get a drink, it was really quiet so we were soon the only people left. However, they never made us feel unwelcome or like we were bothering them by staying. Service was good.

We had to wait a very long time before we got our food. And when we got it, it wasn't tasty either. I had the black angus burger, and the meat was still completely red on the inside, and the rest of it had no taste. I didn't eat it. I got half of a friend's burger, who had the chicken with kimchi, but that burger wasn't very tasty either. It tasted like there was a lot of vinegar on it and the kimchi wasn't really good kimchi. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and the service was friendly. However, I won't be coming back here.

Eaten here a couple of times, so far it's always been a succes. I usually go for a burger or some other meat dish. They have some great starters/appetizers as well. Heard from a friend that the chicken saté isn't great. The place has a nice cozy vibe to it, service isn't particularly great but the food is definitely up there in my book.

It seemed like they forgot to season the food, even after waiting 45 mins. Room temperature ribs did fall off the bone, but had no flavor. Gambas lacked flavor too.

Ken and his team did everything from offer (from payment to deliver) their best services. Everything went smoothly with little coordination from my side. They were very flexible with my desires: from photo-booth to (vegetarian) empanadas to offer as bites. We had a lovely evening and even let us dance one hour longer than closing time. One tip is to offer more types of beers to make my Belgian guests happier.

Quite a unique concept of having to pencil in a selection of courses over 5 available rounds so to speak. Very good variety throughout with a lot of the plates being tasty and sufficiently different from each other. By the end, you can have a very wide range of dishes. High price but the food stands to it. The drinks were quite nice too, and the staff was very friendly and nice. Service was as good as you needed it to be, and the atmosphere was also nice.

Tasty and well presented food. We opted for vegetarian options and they were all perfect. Quite busy during the lunch and diner service, thus reservation is highly recommended.

Fijne sfeer, fijne bediening en lekker eten. Music is not too loud which is nice and what I like. Love the greenery around which makes it more alive. You could never go wrong with a broodje kroket (I like the beef version), I had the “Heeren van Loosdrecht Croquetten” they also have the vegetable version which is a nice option if you don’t want to eat meat!! Also the location is close to the city, a great location if you want to grab lunch. Will come back to try other things on the menu.

At first glance, Utrechter may seem like a touristy spot because of its name, but hey, are you a tourist? Then go here! Service was great, our server was personable and friendly and happy to give suggestions. We had a cheeseboard (w/bread, jam, cheese, marinated artichokes, etc) perfect if you don’t want to commit to a full meal and have a couple of drinks. They even had excellent gluten free bread for one our party. If you are gluten free you know how hard it is to find good bread at a restaurant. The gin and tonic cocktails were really excellent It wasn’t busy I assume because it’s not on the always busy Oude Gracht. Easy to get a table inside or outside. Great place to chill and eat and refresh without stress

Visited The Village, a café conveniently located on Voorstraat in Utrecht. This food used to be great but it's gone very down hill. I had the Spicy Tofurama to take away and got very over boiled rice that tasted of water and even had water at the bottom of my salad bowl and half a very brown, stringy avacardo. The girl serving me was more interested in looking at her phone and obviously didn't care about giving me off food. I reached out to custom service with photos and heard nothing back. I used to eat here every week but have had off food a few times now. Not worth €14 a salad.

I seriously love this place!! I love the concept, the space and the staff were so welcoming! There were so many options it was a bit overwhelming but the girl working was so nice and patient helping me choose which one would be best for me. I tried the Spicy Tofurama with chicken and the veggies were so fresh and delicious and the bio chicken was incredible. One of my favorite spots in Utrecht

I've been a long time customer at Sla as a vegan, I'm really happy with their customizable salads and delicious plant based options. But what makes it even better is that my partner who eats meat could also enjoy a dish with organic chicken. It's rare to find a place that cares so well to both lifestyles.

Very good falafel and halloumi bowls. They come with very good pita and grilled aubergines. The beans give a nice touch ad well. A bit expensive however.

Excellent Indian and Nepalese food. A large selection of dishes. We had the lamb Momo Surya, the chicken Keema Mutter and the Balti chicken and all three were very tasty. The cheese naans were among the best we've tasted : not too crispy, very buttery. The staff was very nice, discreet and efficient. We had a fantastic evening. Thanks.

We had the shared menu and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff was super kind and attentive. We didn’t even have to ask to take the leftovers home, they offered right away to pack it up for us. The restaurant is also in a really cozy location. We’ll definitely be back!

They were lovely enough to welcome us even the kitchen was closing in less than 10 minutes! Kudos for their hospitality. The food was nice, spicy level was very good and I rarely say that. I loved it, but not all my friends appreciated it. Their green chutney was also very strong flavoured. The food was not very fresh, but it was quite late. They could definitely improve the platings, but in terms of service we really appreciated their staff! Seemed more like a bar than a restaurant so I guess is a pretty nice place if you want to hang around and have some drinks after dinner.

Was especially impressed by the main course: fried cod fish cheeks with potato terrine and bok choy. The starters—steamed oyster with spinach, smoked fish rillette, and three types of beet opened the door to a world of unforgettable flavors. Everything was beautifully wrapped up with a fascinating dessert: koji parfait with caramel and fermented garlic. Waiter was delicate, knowledgeable, and calm. Highly recommended!

The food is stunning and large portions. Using different cuts for an exceptional experience. Great vegetarian options too. Great buzz in the restaurant and super staff. A must see.

Creative and innovative dishes cooked with care. I really like the pre drinks, the eclair pastry and the tempeh dish. All was yummy.

We had an amazing time at Héron. The food and drinks are great. We had an oyster as an appetizer, it was good. Then we had sweet potato with coffee shoyu, as starters, which was amazing. Finally we had fish as the main course which was also great. We also love the non-alcoholic drinks which have a wide variety of unique tastes, such as a combination of matcha with black berry. The service was great.

Heron was a nice gourmet experience with a very good service and wine combination. We ordered oysters and aspargus as a starters, later on continued with deer with fresh garlic and some filet americain. The plates looks pretty. Only thing the starters were a little bit tasteless but the main dish was amazing. Plus point to their homemade non-alcoholic wallnut-apple juice that was the best drink I ever have and their wines were also unique and tasty.

Upfront, this restaurant maybe isn’t for everyone. Not in a “pretentious you wouldn’t get it blah blah” kinda way but because not all the flavour and texture combos are to everyone’s tastes. Preserved, pickled, and fermented flavours and textures are very much a love it and hate it thing to many. That said, if you want to taste things you’ve never tasted before or even considered being tasty this place is for you. Menu changes per the seasons, ingredients are local, and the knowledge and passion of the people working there is on another level. If you can’t pick they are happy to pick for you. We picked our own food but left drinks (mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic) up to the waiter. Pairings were fantastic, and the dishes we had were perfectly portioned and put together. Service is incredibly warm and friendly, and every dish and drink is explained in detail. You’re left to enjoy yourself and take your time, yet you never feel unattended. A perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy something different, and I cannot recommend this place enough

Nice restaurant wrt ambiance and staff. Presentation is nice. Food itself is average - flavour combination should be improved, and the food prep should be improved. I.e. the rice was overcooked.

We went there in a small group of five food lovers including guests who were in Utrecht for a couple of days. The location is really nice, close to the city center, and easily reachable from public transport, car or bikes. From the outside it looks like a cozy place next to the canal with tropical vibes. It reminded me of cafes and restaurants from Ubud or the rice terraces in Tegalalang. We were immediately offered multiple tables. The service seemed prompt and helpful. We started with a round of tropical cocktails and Indonesian starters. Cocktails look amazing and it looks like they are well-curated not only in terms of ingredients but also in greater details, about how they are presented and served. Sate ayam were amazing. We also ordered two dishes with jackfruit - one of them was nice but the jackfruit sate tasted a little more processed than any other jackfruit dish I've ever eaten. I felt that the food was nice but our table had a mixed response. The recipes are slightly modified to be a little less spicy but the waiters offered us a variety of sauces on the side which worked really well with the food we had ordered. The main course dishes were also nice. The staff were very friendly and I believe they should get additional points for that. If it were only for the staff and the service, I'll say that this place is better than Michelin listed restaurants in the city. Overall, I feel if you're interested in a quick bite and a drink next in a relaxing neighborhood, this is a place worth visiting. The food definitely looks very well presented. But if how the food tastes is only your preference, I'd rather ask you to wait for the management to take a conscious decision about what the recepies should be like. They are just one step away from authentic Balinese experience. We had a nice evening. Because of the memorable drinks, pretty pictures, and friendiness of the staff, I have to mark it as a 5-star (maybe a 4.9).

We had a dinner for two on a weekend evening. We came away with a great experience. The food is Indonesian, and they have some good cocktails as well. We loved the slightly funky tropical neon ambience. The service was excellent and speedy. Yes, you don't get table service in the times of corona. You have to order through an app (QR code you scan at the table), and the food is brought there by very efficient staff. I also had a jokey - conversation with the server about getting a custom cocktail for myself (all in good fun!). Finally onto the food. It was amazing. We had slightly low expectations since we're Indian and like our food extra spiced. We expected something more suiting the Dutch palate. However the food hit it out of the park. We tried the bao buns and the rendang as our main dishes - both were spectacular. And the Balinese fried chicken was just as great. All in all, we're glad we came here. Excellent food, excellent ambience and excellent service. We'll be sure to come again.

I went there with bunch of friends on Friday night. We reserved the place in upfront because it's busy on Friday night. The cocktails were good and the food was also delicious. They had vegan options as well. Recommended for the atmosphere. Decoration of the cocktail is 10/10. I would like to go there again. Vegan spring rolls were amazing too

First time here, liked the food! Very nice interior and nice staff. Really like the Pandan Creme Brulee, their Loaded Rendang Fries were also quite good. Didn't enjoy the Veg Gyoza and Chicken Rice Paper Roll as much, but they were still good. Had a great time and will defenitely come back to try more of their cocktails!

The place is a very cute place by the canal, next to the train station. We came with a reservation and we had a nice table by the window. The staff is polite and very helpful. The prices are initially thought to be good, which in the end I think are high compared to what we ate. The food was not well prepared, lacking taste or having very bad pieces of meat (e.g. pork baos), and we couldn't finish our meal. The fries were very good though. Unfortunately we did not have cocktails, which look very nice from the photos.

Lovely place along the canal! It has a very chill vibe. You have to order at the bar yourself and they only take PIN. I had a lovely apple pie with them and was a bit jealous of my hungrier friends getting good-looking burgers!

Very nice pizza and friendly staff. I was very pleased with the diversity and substitution options for vegetarians (offering real alternatives to meat rather than having to take ingredients off as I usually need to request). Only taking 1 star off because of the wait, despite making a reservation, we had to wait about half an hour.

The tables are full which is a good indication. Although we didn't had a reservation but they managed to give us a table so thumbs 👍. We ordered a salad, Caponata pizza and Da Noi pizza and all was delicious. Lastly, we had a Panna cotta which was extremely delicious. Well done 👏

I’m a big fan of the Pizzabakkers and a regular customer (in the restaurant as well as delivery). Unfortunately this is the third or forth time I’ve received this kind of joke of pizza. Anyone who knows the prosciutto pizza also knows that it’s not suppose to look like this. Paying 20 euros to get this sad pizza delivered is outrageous. If you want to grab a pizza here go to the restaurant and don’t get it delivered.

I walked in at 20:40 and was greeted with a surprise look of seeing someone that showed up that late and was informed the restaurant closes soon but I have time for one drink (even though I later noticed it’s open till 22:00). I asked for a large beer and got a small one instead. Staff looked as though they already signed out.

We were exploring Utrecht and stopped by here for a quick bite. We went in blind, but were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. The service was a little slow, but very kind. The waiter recommended some good local favourites for us try. It was a little overpriced, but tasty nevertheless. Would stop by here for drinks again for sure.

I had Ice coffee and appeltaart. Because I'm allergic to nuts, I wanted to know if there was maybe nuts on or in them. The waiter looked rather aggitated. He didn't know. He got me the box so I could read the ingredients. He acted as if I was whining. Their Ice Coffee is very good!

The food is delicious, the restaurant is clean and well-kept, and best of all, the staff are incredibly friendly.

Located in the heart of the city, a nice place to eat some snacks and have a good beer. We ordered some delicious bitterbalen and Kaassoufflé and fried sweet potato (which was good but we wanted the mayonese sauce apart, they put on top anyway). The upstairs toilet could be an issue for elderly or disable customers.

The service is great, the atmosphere is good but the food is horrible and way overpriced. My friend ordered a fish & chip and was served some hard cheap breaded fish - he sent it back as it was really not good. I got a burger whose meat was inedible : the hamburger patty had two different colors and one was hard as leather. - so if you're looking for drinks, its fine. If you want to eat, maybe don't.

They advertise cheap eats for students on Monday and Tuesday but although the price is low, the quality is even lower and absolutely not even worth the price. The staff is really friendly but the food is dissapointing. We ordered a cheese burger and chicken sate, the burger patty was the cheapest you can get from any supermarket. Furthermore, the quantity was not enough even for me (and I'm a small woman who gets full quickly).

The 'student night' €8.50 burger gave me hella diarrhoea, but the drinks were nice and the pub was busy and had a good atmosphere.

Terrible food and high prices. I paid 19 euros for fish an chips and the fish was a pre-frozen stick that tasted awful. The place has a great atmosphere though and the staff are nice. But I ordered a coke zero that was no bigger than a childs cup, and full of ice. Disappointing because they used to have a wonderful reputation with food. Off the Utrechts nice-to-eat-at list unfortunately. But fun for beers and social!

As a pizza lover who has been to more than seven pizzerias of different levels and nationalities in Utrecht, I can say this pizza is unbeatable. It's more delicious and digestible than 99.99% of pizzas out there. The staff is super friendly, and they speak good English and Dutch. I'll be back! P.S. Try the one with mascarpone, pine nuts, green pesto, and pastrami—it's so good you'll end up licking your fingers!

The pizza here is really good. By category the staff was amazing and very friends. Overall it went really well. The atmosphere is very nice and quant. The salami pizza was very good with fresh homemade tomato sauce. The margarita needed a little more salt. Then the prosciutto pizza had like a penne vodka sauce as the base. Very creative and all on Italian thin crust done in a brick oven.

Everything was so fresh! You can tell that the ingredients are straight from Italy. The service was amazing with the stuff being very welcoming and helpful. Pizza al tartufo was delicious!!

Ordered two different pizzas, none of them had tomato sauce and the the ingredients were tasteless. The kitchen is run by 3 Gen Zs which spend the whole time talking loudly about their very boring life, quite entertaining (contain sarcasm)

Really, really good pizza! Some of the best thin crusts in Utrecht. It's fast, but steps up from fast-food and it's always lovely to have a pizza and a drink and soak up the sun for a casual meal out. Another plus: great service- are always friendly and smiling.

The cheese scones are very tasty and flaky on the inside but have a nice crunch on the outside. Would come again and eat them. You could add some jam or a little butter and make them extra special. Nice spot to visit.

An incredibly cozy and pleasant bakery in the center of Utrecht. We stopped for breakfast, where we tried everything from scones to cinnamon rolls, banana bread, or carrot cake. Everything was wonderful. The banana and carrot delicacies were really moist, and the scone had a truly cheesy flavor. The service was also incredibly friendly and warm. And of course, I can't miss mentioning what is maybe the biggest highlight, which is the coffee, perfectly sour, yet very smooth and rich in flavor. For us, it was a perfect morning, and we're grateful for it!

KEEK is a must when in Utrecht! Try their two most popular baked goods - cinnamon roll and the KEEK scone. The scone is worthy of praise - moist, not too sweet and delightfully filling without being too dense. The cinnamon roll was similarly pleasant though the scone was more memorable for this reviewer. I’d return in a heartbeat to have both again and to try even more.

Cashier was very helpful and friendly thats nice buut that cake wasn’t delicious enough. Its taste was like bit stale ?¿ I’m not sure . iced coffee and small portion of cake 9 euro

We where looking for a place to eat lunch and we found this place. Together we picked the Keek Tasting. We got more than plenty to eat and it tasted superbly! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The ambiance is very cozy and informal.

Very cute little cafe, with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. I particularly like the cheese scones here, accompanied by a delicious cappuccino, but you can also get lots of great pastries here as well. Highly recommended, we love to revisit this place when we're in Utrecht.

Great restaurant with a good, well rounded meals that are tasty and of good quality. They have a variety of banquet rooms, I ate at the top floor which is great, good lighting, high ceiling and spacious for a couple dozen people. They offered a three course menu which was great, a salad, main and dessert. Nice brewery at the lower level.

Delicious food at a gorgeous location near the canals of Utrecht. Very easy to reach by foot from the train station. The interior and atmosphere is fun and modern with a wink to the old days. There is also a friendly house cat.

Was going to stop for food, but we were ignored by the serving staff. We ordered via the online system and our drinks were thrown at us. Comfortably the worst service we have had in our trip to the Netherlands. It’s a beautiful spot, they obviously don’t need to try very hard

They changed menu one day before, so it was a bit confusing to order. The place is lovely and I recommend sitting outside, too bad the canal tables were closed on a wednesday. Had the satay and their own witbier, strong taste and go very well together, the satay is not spicy at all, which I like.

Went there with a friend to have burgers. The portion was super big and delicious. Service was fast and on proper level. The interior looks very attractive. We are looking forward to return soon!

This place is fantastic, the staff are friendly, the host was engaging and he had a good sense of humour. The hotdogs were beautiful and the paprika fries with truffle mayo are excellent. Well worth a visit.🌭🍟

You know when you see something beautiful, and you think it doesn’t have to be that dolled up to be beautiful.. that’s what i think about Dogma. It was beautifully presented with a lot of fixings. My 1st bite was the dog alone and the flavour blew my mind! I would’ve ordered a dozen of those with no bun or toppings.

Interesting and tasty hot dog, I loved the bun! Located outside the crowded area, you might as well find place. There was plenty when we visited, friendly service. The fancy look of the hotdogs attraced us to this place. The portion is more than enough, so if you are not a great eater, the fries can be skipped. Very nice white beer, average ingredients quality, and prices on the high side.

How good could a hot dog restaurant be, you might be asking?! Well pretty darn good, it turns out. Unique toppings with flavours that work well together rather than being unique for the sake of it. Salad was fresh and with good quality ingredients. Highly recommended!

Dogma is the holy grail of hotdogs. We have eaten several times with a group of 4-5 people and it has always been a delight. The 'Dwaze Dienaar' is my favourite, but their special temporary dishes are also worth it! Unfortunately, the service is a bit slow.

In a city where “all day brunches” close at 17h (during Summer!), Dogma was a delicious find. We were super well received by Kevin, who not only helped us to choose proper food options, but also gave us some great insights about Utrecht and the surrounding region. The food itself was fantastic and I'd definitely return once more

I like to come and look at the plants almost every Saturday, and enjoy it here. There are many different types of flowers. Amazing👍👍
