We enjoyed our last dinner on the island at Bananakeet, and it was truly amazing. The food was delicious — the coconut rum shrimp was especially tasty and full of flavor. The night view of Carrot Bay, with all the twinkling lights, made the evening even more memorable. A perfect way to end our trip!

Great good, excellent service and an out of this world view!! My husband and I ate dinner at Bananakeet Cafe earlier this week and it’s by far the best food we’ve had in Cane Garden Bay. We loved it so much that we’re headed back for dinner tonight. I highly recommend the paella.

The setting is awesomely beautiful at sunset hour. Great service. Great mojitos! Nice choices on the menu. I stayed also on the wyndham and by far this rest was better than they have. Highly recommended if you are in Tortola. I dont think there are many options there like this one.

This may be my favorite place of all the restaurants we ate at during our 10 day stay on the island. The atmosphere was lovely and so relaxing. The food was absolutely delicious and there were many menu options tried amongst our group of 8 adults. There was only 1 server and 1 bartender but they were on their toes keeping us happy. You have to try this place!!

Loved the food and atmosphere! The lamb and steak were to die for! The garlic mashed potatoes and everything was 5 star! The view is amazing !

We went there in the evening; the place is so beautifully decorated! It reminds me of the nice restaurants in the Middle East with Mediterranean vibes. The food was delicious! Highly recommend! We didn’t drive; we used the dinghy from the sail boat the shore and we went up from the beach from the back. However, there are enough parking spots there.

We were so happy to discover Brandywine, thanks to the recommendations of other Google reviewers. My husband and I stayed on Tortola for 10 days and had many wonderful experiences, but dining at Brandywine was right up at the top. In fact, we enjoyed our first lunch so much, we returned two days later for an encore. Brandywine is the love child of husband, Regis (French, chef) and wife, Claudine (British, front of the house). The location, perched high on a south-facing promontory with 180 degree views, is vast and sublime. The service is friendly, yet professional, and we appreciated that Claudine remembered us on our second visit and welcomed us warmly. On our first visit, we shared the carpaccio appetizer which is plenty big for two people (and very delicious!). Afterwards, I enjoyed the Chevre Chaud salad with warm goat cheese and roasted mushrooms, and my husband had the Linguini Frutti di Mare with loads of clams, mussels, scallops and shrimp. On our second visit, we shared the Duck Trio appetizer. With smoked duck breast, duck rillette AND seared foie gras, it is plentiful and very yummy. For my main, I had the Moules Mariniere appetizer which is basically entree-sized and perfectly prepared in the traditional style, with a flavor-forward white wine and garlic broth. My husband had the Kennedy Pasta with chicken and sausage in a bold arrabiata sauce and enjoyed every bite. If we had stayed longer on the island, I'm certain we would have returned a third time because Brandywine is easily the finest restaurant in Tortola. It may be a bit pricier than some of the others, but the quality cannot be compared.

The lambshank was delicious and tender. Great ambiance. The buffet presentation was 1st class. Service was impeccable. My waitress (Terry) was very attentive and friendly.

Wonderful experience! The food and drinks were to die for ☺️ The staff were excellent and Regus the chef even came out and chatted with us. The view was beautiful and the sunset was spectacular. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Highly recommended their food here. Excellent food, fresh seafood, excellent service The owner/chef is French.(I think, I guess from his accent) This restaurant really serves fresh seafood, delicious, breathtaking view, and good coffee too. MUST TRY restaurant.. I will come back again.

Omar's has been a favorite of ours for several years. The food is amazing. Not just compared to the rest of Tortola, the curries are better than many Indian restaurants in NYC. Don't cheat yourself by not ordering a paratha per person. They are a special treat. They have a decent drink selection, but let's face it, Red Stripe is the best pairing with spicy food on a warm night.

We drove by a few times - don’t let the gate / shipping containers deter you. It was truly the best meal we have had so far on Tortola and the ambience was wonderful!

Birthday Breakfast at Omar’s is our family tradition that goes back more than 10 years. Today was not exception. We celebrated my son’s 30th birthday at our favorite breakfast spot. The food, the atmosphere, and the service (Maria was our server) were amazing as usual. I look forward to celebrating more milestones at Omar’s!!

Enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at Omar’s and each were excellent! The fish curry was one of the highlights of the week in the BVI. The service from both Jenny and Kyle went above and beyond! Can’t recommend this place enough when in Nanny Cay!

I ate here twice while on holiday and they stood out for service, price and quality of food. I loved their curries. My only wish is that they offered some sambals with the curry but I truly cant fault it. Emma served us both times and she's truly wonderful. Highly recommend 💛

We had breakfast here and it was delicious! They smoothie was creamy and tasty. We also had a bagel with salmon and capers, crepes with blueberry and whipped cream and tacos. We wanted to try so many things on the menu! I would definitely return.

Absolutely phenomenal stay at Soggy Dollar and SandCastle Hotel. Everything from the beautiful beachside cottages to the amazing, hardworking, warm and kind staff made this trip truly spectacular! The Soggy Dollar Bar is my happy place, now to figure out how soon we can possibly go back…

Everything and everyone was top notch! Our cottage was adorable and clean with little well thought out extras, from the beach bag, hats, refillable water bottles to lanterns & bug spray. The food and drinks were all delicious! The staff was truly amazing and always happy to assist. The view and location is breathtaking! Very impressed with the entire experience from start to finish at the Sand Castle. The location is obviously amazing. The room was perfect - comfortable and very well appointed. The morning coffee bar and dinner at Spice are a must. But the biggest pleasant surprise was the service of the Sand Castle staff. From check-in to check out, it was an impressive coordination of well trained, genuinely friendly / happy people. We felt at home and didn’t want to leave.

Everything about Sandacstle was amazing. Michelle, Annie and Jamie didn't miss a single detail in ensuring that we have a wonderful stay. The rooms were perfect, the food served at breakfast, lunch and dinner was excellent. And the Painkillers, we you know... Thank you so much for a lovely stay. Update July 2025 Another visit to Soggy Dollar this trip. It never disappoints. Home of the painkiller… they’re good, especially with the extra shot on top! 😁 Fun place to hang out on the beach, countless boats in the bay, great people watching! A “must do” stop when touring the BVIs. Oct 2024 We stopped by The Soggy Dollar Bar during a recent cruise through the BVIs. It was better than imagined!!! Our whole yacht had fun! Super cool place/vibe, great and friendly staff, good drinks at decent prices, great beach… fun for young and old. We all had a blast! Highly recommend stopping by the Soggy Dollar anytime!

Corsairs is hands down the best beach bar restaurant on Jost Van Dyke! Vinny and Pizza Dave run a fun, laid-back operation that keeps the good vibes flowing. Their pizza is absolutely amazing—crispy, cheesy perfection that hits the spot after a day on the water. Whether you’re stopping by for a cold drink, some laughs, or just to soak in the island atmosphere, Corsairs never disappoints. If you’re in Jost Van Dyke, this spot is a must-visit!

My husband and I have been enjoying our dining experience at Corsairs annually for the past 8 years but were very disappointed at Corsairs tonight. We had studied the online menu ahead of time showing 6 land and 6 sea entrees and were looking forward to that variety. I was craving chicken with mashed potatoes! When we arrived the printed menu given to us showed only 6 entree options total. They should update the online menu since it has changed dramatically! We pivoted and decided on an entree and an appetizer that we would share. We went ahead and ordered two rum and pineapple juice drinks (not a fancy cocktail) served in plastic cups and 2 bottled waters. Then we were told the chef never showed up for work so there was only pizza and appetizers available. We again were flexible and decided on two appetizers. Our bill was shocking! Our drinks were $15 each and the water $5 each for plastic generic bottles of water. Are you kidding me? Our two appetizers, 6 tempura shrimp and 6 conch fritters totaled $47 which was overpriced but not a surprise since the price was listed on the menu. We then noticed an added fee of $4 for using a credit card? I've never in all my travels had such a charge! With prices this inflated, Corsairs should have absorbed the CC charges like every other restaurant in the world does! Then a gratuity of 20% which even included the credit card charge! So for two drinks, two waters, and two appetizers it was $110! How can you charge $5 for a small bottle of water when every place on this island charges $5 for a Carib? Certainly there is a big difference in those retail prices. How can you charge $15 for a small drink when every place on this island charges $8-10 and perhaps $11 for a fancy drink? Vinny was angry about us questioning these prices and said his cup is bigger. His seems to be about one ounce bigger than the very smallest cups being served around the island …which should not correspond to double the cost! The two appetizers were mediocre. The tempura shrimp was fine but the conch fritters were overcooked and had no conch taste or any taste really beyond the batter. We have been dining ant Corsairs annually for the past 8 years and this year will be our last. I was especially surprised at how angry Vinny was when questioned about his prices and added charges. I really hate to see these changes happening in our island paradise! I’m guessing most people rarely look at their checks and perhaps could care less about the cost but we are a retired couple that love this island and don’t like to see people taken advantage of. What happened to Corsairs?

We loved Corsairs! The pizza was fricken amazing! Enjoyed meeting Vinny, Pizza Dave, Kenny and Nicole. Oh the Voodoo drink was very yummy too!

It’s always fun at Corsairs! Vinnie, Dave and “the new cook/chef” (I’m sorry I don’t remember your name) made it a wonderful afternoon for us. Great cold drinks, plenty of ice, amazing wings and the best fried rice I've ever had! Fun conversation and great storytelling. ❤️

Beach side bar and restaurant with a pirate-biker vibe. Vinnie and Dave run the place and are damn cool! Cocktails are great and the place is 99% rebuilt from the hurricane. Ask about the motor they're waiting for on the last garage door. Must stop on your JVD trip!

One of our all-time favorites! A MUST STOP in the BVI! Fun atmosphere, fantastic views, and top-notch service. Try the lobster, Mahi Mahi, steak tips or pizza - all AMAZING! Hopefully, you'll get a chance to meet the owner; everyone is a long-lost friend!

We heard this was the place to come for a view and great food. Great lunch spot! Sweet Ice Willie drove us here, the food, service, and view was perfection! Pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, and cocktails are all highly recommended!

We had a fantastic lunch at Hog Haven on a clear day with absolutely spectacular views. The food didn’t disappoint — everything from pulled pork to ribs was enjoyed by all of us. The drinks were just as yummy and hit the spot perfectly! A great place to relax, eat well, take in those beautiful vibes... and catch the "Virgin Gorda" sign!

The best barbecue in the world is at the top of the mountain in Virgin Gorda. They serve the most scrumptious, pull-off-the-bone meats - with a sauce to die for. We shared the pork ribs and barbecue chicken. Both were equally delicious! For sides, we loved the plantains and potato salad. Prices are average, but the views and great service make it worth every penny. We cannot wait for the day we return. My only recommendation - bottle up that mouth-watering sauce and ship it worldwide!

Best view in BVI. Fantastic food, as well. Not gonna lie…the pulled pork sandwich was just above average - very heavily sauced. But, the fried chicken? That was the crispiest fried chicken I’ve ever had and still juicy inside. Though I didn’t try them, several in our group raved about the ribs. That is also what many of the locals swore by. Great, chill, island vibe. Definitely worth the trip.

Spectacular views and totally worth the short (steep) drive to get there. We were speechless at the views. Laid back, casual, and you eat outdoors. The food was great. I am a vegetarian, so I ate the veggie burger, but everyone with me ate the pork, ribs, and chicken and loved it!!! Everyone was attentive and made sure we loved our food!

The restaurant is perched over the shore, great views. We ate when the sun had already set and the breeze was perfect. This was in December. The salmon in dill sauce was very good, not dry. The BBQ baby back ribs were good as well, mild but with a little kick. Our waiter was excellent and very professional. We did not have trouble parking but as is usually the case the parking space isn't huge. The picture of the inside does not show the entire seating area. There is a lot of room.

Holy cow the food was amazing! I personally recommend Iona’s chicken - I literally ate everything on my plate! The service was on point and the environment, right at the water’s edge, was so beautiful. Put D’Coal Pot at the top of your list of places to try, you will leave full and happy!

We just arrived to the island and missed the sunset. Our waitress, MJ was delightful. Every single one of her recommendations hit the spot. The Jerk Chicken wings were fall off the bone and the spice was wonderful. There are only 3 wings, but they are whole wings, so 6 in American restaurants. Iona’s ginger wine chicken, family recipe, was great. A thinly pounded chicken breast sautéed, with a special sauce that was fantastic. The curried coconut fish dishes were also very good.

We had a wonderful dinner at The D’Coal Pot and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Our server recommended the ginger wine chicken, and it was outstanding — full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The setting made the meal even more memorable. The restaurant sits right by the ocean, so you can hear the waves while you enjoy your dinner — it’s the perfect combination of great food and a relaxing, authentic island atmosphere. If you’re looking for a spot with delicious local dishes and a beautiful seaside vibe, The D’Coal Pot is not to be missed.

The food here was exceptional and we came back multiple times. The Jerk Rib eye steak I had was excellent and the Roti I had was the best I had on Tortola. The view is incredible, the staff is very friendly, and the menu rotates based on availability. Highly recommend

We make sure to have a few meals at D'Coal Pot on every visit to Tortola. They are now right at the water's edge in Carrot Bay. The setting could not be better. Great sunsets. The sound of the surf on rocks right next to you. One meal must always be roti. On the last visit, the seafood one slightly edged out the conch. The jerk chicken was grilled and seasoned tastily. The curry crusted grouper is a family favorite. Well priced wine list. If you want something non-alcoholic, though, try the sorrel. Theirs was excellent.

MJ and Patrick, both servers as well as bartenders, are wonderful! Food is excellent. Local Indian dish Fish Roti! Roti is a meat, potato and curry sauce in a chickpea flour wrap. Like a burrito. It's a wonderful local dish and customer can choose the meat such as beef, fish, chicken. The restaurant also serves fresh caught lobster, wahoo... Had the wahoo two nights ago. Blackened and perfectly prepared. Great salad and rum raisin cheesecake is amazing! Service is outstanding. Beautiful sunset!

Went here on a recommendation. We were all starving, so we ordered just about everything on the menu, not joking. The food was hit or miss. Spicy tuna Roll, one of the best I've had. The duck nachos were hard and chewy like jerky. The muscles were perfectly cooked and fresh. The bao bread was delicious but the meat part was a salt bomb. I had to spit it out. All in the food was decent but not 5 star. The service was okay but could have been better. BTW, let the table keep one menu at the table. It's tapas. The idea is to keep ordering. We had to keep asking for the menu. The atmosphere was top notch. Loved that the most. Would I go here again, 🤔 maybe

Love the location! Food was great. We arrived at 4:30 (Thursday) as we like to eat early and avoid crowds. View was amazing. Wait staff was friendly and professional. Looks like a cool place to get drinks and hang out. They had a pool table, corn hole, jenga…I recommend a visit if in Virgin Gorda. Either go early or make reservations.

Sunset cocktails with a twist … hammocks, sofas in the sand, sushi, sounds from the DJ, giant jenga and entertaining staff. What’s not to like? Nothing. We went every single night!! Fantastic, book a table!!!

By far our favorite restaurant in the BVIs. The location, vibes and view are amazing. We love the Tapas menus do groups as you get to share your meal experience. Our favorite dishes were the ribs, fish tacos, Buddha fries and fried chicken. Creative drink menu that everyone enjoyed. Book ahead as it gets busy.

2nd time at Foxy's Taboo! Great stop after making the short hike to the Bubbly Pool! Recommend the blackened Grouper sandwich, rum punch and painkillers!!

We went on a week night with no one else around and it was simply wonderful. Food and drinks were fantastic! Lily was a great server and bartender. We ended up eating on the dock which I highly recommend if they ever let anyone do that again. We had a crab friend walk by several times and the kids loved everything about this place. We'll be back!

TLDR; food great, cocktails just okay. No reservation needed on a Thursday night. We had a nice meal here in early Feb 2024. Friendly service (although slow— 30 min to take our drink order is slow even for island time!). Many bugs but they also supplied deet spray and the bugs got better as more people arrived. The two salads we ordered to start were had great flavor and a large portion. Very fresh greens. The starter of eggplant cheese and crackers was interesting- good, but probably wouldn’t order it again. The mains were standout. Three of us had the ribs which were spiced heavily with lots of allspice. I wish I knew the recipe, I’d love to try to replicate them someday! Another of our party had the grilled snapper and said it was delicious. No one was impressed with their cocktails. My fiancé, who ordered a painkiller at every restaurant, said it was the “second worst” of the trip. Overall a good experience but the cocktails and very slow service took it down a star.

They got wiped out by Irma in 2017 but they are back and better than ever! Fun place for lunch after visiting the bubbly pool or snokeling with the turtles. Their computer system lost our order so it took a little longer than normal but they bought us a round of drinks and since we were on island time it was all good!

Freshest vegetables with grilled chicken kabob cooked perfectly...macaroni salad served with it was ok. The view fantastic. Hidden gem found but the most amazing find just a short hike from Foxy's Taboo (yes, get off the boat for a hike) to a hidden treasure called Bubbly Pool! Cool cactus along the trail.

Must visit in BVI. Lobster and Mahi were delicious. Perfect Caribbean atmosphere. Service was great. We had a party of 8. Food came out quick, hot and delicious.

Perfect out of the way spot for a quiet lunch. The drinks are very very good and the grilled food menu is wonderful. We had shrimp and chicken kebabs and they were delicious. Be careful for the hot sauce! 🥵

Pretty solid upscale food. The flavors, compositions, and presentation were top notch. The beef tenderloin could be juicier, even though I ordered it rare. The sticky toffee pudding was okay, a bit dry as well. The staff was friendly and attentive earlier in the evening, but as other tables started arriving, the service became pretty slow and eventually they literally forgot to come collect payment after bringing me my check. That isn't surprising on the islands, but a bit surprising for a restaurant in this price range.

Actually went for Lunch so ate the Dragonfly Lounge (which is what they have for lunch). Great Atmosphere, food is delicious and people are nice. Cocktails are nice too. Short walking distance from Cruise Port.

A fantastic dinner in Tortola - great atmosphere and vibe at The Dove. Service was top notch, wine and cocktail list was good. Food preparation and presentation was excellent. For starters the bruschetta and tuna were our picks. Most of the group had the filet for dinner and was fantastic as was the stuffed chicken. Highly recommend should you find yourself looking for a quality dining experience in Tortola.

4. Great little spot in Tortola- warm and intimate vibe. The menu is not huge, but has a lot of classic dishes- salmon, chicken, beef, etc. Our waiter Rahim was super nice and thoughtful. The drinks were creative, unfortunately, they were out of some of the syrups and liqueurs. They brought an amuse-bouche before the apps- and some bread with olive oil and vinegar. The tomato soup was okay (very tomato sauce-like) the mains were beautifully presented and the portions were large. The waiter was thoughtful about accommodations and brought a dish with just sides as requested. The chicken was a favourite!

Absolutely a must try while on the island.Tomas and his fiancé knocked it out of the park with the drink menu and food selection. Definitely a great change a of pace compared to all the regular island food you get here in Tortola! This will be a regular stop every time we’re on the island!

I would give.the atmosphere a 10 and service as well. It's almost like a speakeasy. Lovely romantic, fine dining. Will always come back..

Dove used to be the full package – ambiance, food, and service. Now? It's like it woke up one day and decided, meh. The area looks like it needs a makeover, and the wooden floors are crying out for a hug and some polish. The food? Let’s just say if you’re charging over $30 for fish and chips or steak frites, maybe ensure the quality doesn’t scream, ‘diner special.’ Presentation is a tragedy—standard plates that would blend right in at a greasy spoon. Fries look like they’ve been reincarnated more times than a cat, and the fish? Curled up like it’s auditioning to be an onion ring. Seasoned well, I’ll give you that, but the steak tastes like it had an argument with flavor and lost. And the salad. Oh, the salad. Who decided cubed carrots and bell peppers belong in a Caesar? It's like the salad has an identity crisis, with spring onions as a garnish just to add insult to injury. This isn’t gourmet; it’s gourm-no. The service is good, though. If only the food could keep up, Dove might actually fly again. As it stands, I’d rather take my chances in my own kitchen—at least I know what’s coming out of it!

Amazing experience here--lobsters are incredibly good; they catch the lobsters the same day you order them, I believe. Dining on the sand after coming in on a dinghy from our catamaran is just an experience you have to try. This is living.

It wasn't the same as 2 years ago. Maybe because it was a weeknight? I got a small lobster, @ 1 lb, my mistake, it wasn't enough. The excitement and crowd was missing. Last time it was free shots, t shirts, dj, and we danced for hours. We just had music on the background. Still, for a by the water, great view experience that isn't thumping, it's great if that's what you're after. And, the employees couldn't be more fun and friendly. Great job!

We’ve been here many times, because the times when the food is good, it is absolutely outstanding. However, every three or four times the lobster will be dry and other things like that. The service can sometimes be great and sometimes just so so. This time our waiter literally lied straight in my face. That was unusual. She said we were seated down in the sand because there was construction upstairs. There was no construction I even checked with other staff. I gave one star for atmosphere, because we were put on the sand, even though their biggest selling point is upstairs (no bugs). We finally learned that when they have lots of customers signed up, they don’t use the upstairs. Being there with a baby and dealing with the sand flies was not good. We don’t want spray insecticide on it a year and a half old and also another crewmember was pregnant. Not impressive.

The lobster at the Wonky Dog is incredible. Huge portions, fantastic service and a very cool place to eat dinner. It's right on the beach and they had the firepit lit. Compared to some of the other BVI restaurants this place is kept in great shape! Clean and comfortable.

Excellent lobster on the beach! Tables and chairs are all in the sand. Lobster order must be placed by early am or days before. The small lobster are like main lobsters (plenty for one person) the medium and large lobsters are absolutely huge and could be shared. We loved the music and staff as well. Make sure to make this a stop!

Incredible lobster, fun spot. This is a great waterfront spot with a fabulous view. As everyone says, you have to make a dinner reservation on Anegada. We looked at the online menu and all ordered lobster. It was so delicious, fresh and grilled perfectly. Staff was friendly & attentive. DJ was great after dinner entertainment. Thank you Wonky Dog.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I loved the atmosphere but we got so many bug bites. I assume they were sand fleas or midges. Not sure if they can do anything about that but we were covered in bites the next day.

The food seems to come in a good portion. We came in at 2:42pm and food came in at 3:41!!!! Servers were not attentive at all. If we tried to flag them down, they wouldn't even stop to say something like 'let me call your server' or 'yes, what can I do?', etc. There was a waitress, we thought either she was the owner or manager and there were 2 or 3 other people working. Even people at the next table got up and went to the kitchen asking for their food. Finally, we asked our how long until our food arrived, the young guy said our food will come within 5-10 minutes but it took much longer than that. The time we visited wasn't crowded at all. The presentation was sloppy and was not consistent compared to the two same dishes. We were skeptical of ordering a dessert but since they said it would come out right away, we gave it a try. The gelato had freezer burns and ice chips!!!! And they served them in a cup just like that!!!? Can't believe it is $7/ea which added about another $100 to our bill?!

Going early in the day might not be the best idea. The matron running the shop was clearly not in the mood for us, working or dealing with sunlight. I wanted seafood pizza. I got it. Maybe coming back later would be better. Or maybe not.

OMG this is one of the best meals I've had in my entire life seriously! I've eaten at 5star restaurants many times but this was authentic. The owners are actually Italian. The food is imported from Italy per the owner. Wife makes all the desserts in house. Sasha was our server. She was so attentive and pleasant during our entire stay. The bartender was amazing and made great drinks. We ordered the cheesy bread, Capri salad, meatballs for appetizers. Nothing disappointing. For our entrees we ordered the grouper piccata, a 14-in pizza, chicken marsala spaghetti and meatballs and the chicken schnitzel. When I tell you the garlic, olive oil sauce was amazing... It was so good! Fresh garlic and olive oil with a few pepper flakes within the pomodori offered with the grouper piccata...heaven. light and flavorful with fresh capers. The grouper filet spanned the dinner plate. Amazing 😍. Everything was fresh. Service was great. No long wait times. Dessert was also rewarding with many options. The creme brulee was just fantastic with fresh lemon zest..creamy and satisfying. All in all, a wonderful restaurant with five star service.

Food and drinks were decent for the price. Contrary to some reviews, we experienced pretty bad service. It took about 20 min after we were seated to be seen by our server. That was the only time she interacted with us the whole time over an hour and a half. Had to flag her down to get our check in order to leave.

Expensive $42 for 2 desserts. We were seated immediately but barely got service & we sat at the bar area. It took forever to get our check. The banana split & chocolate cake were good not worth $42.

Absolutely incredible food. Service was phenomenal. Staff is amazing. The lasagna is one of the best I've ever had in my life. Easily in my Top 2 of all time. The chicken parm is spectacular. The tiramisu is incredible. You can't go wrong here. It's pricey, but so is everything on the island. The difference here is that it's worth every penny.

Favorite lunch spot on Virgin Gorda! Great location near the Baths and not a long walk from Spring Bay where we were staying. Very welcoming place. We hadn't been here since before Hurricane Irma and the rebuild and I was thrilled to find Mad Dog was just as good as I remembered if not even better! The conch fritters were amazing, especially with the slightly spicy remoulade. I always love their BLT on a hot beach day but we were there multiple times and everything we tasted here was great. Mad Dog Colada was a refreshing cocktail too and my kids were excited they could get Mango and Strawberry smoothies.

Five stars across the board for Mad Dog Bar and Grill. We met Jude in the parking lot at the top of the baths. We were looking to eat lunch at the top of the baths restaurant but there was a long wait. I'm very glad we took a chance on Mad Dogs because the experience was truly excellent. The service was great. Friendly and very quick for a group of seven. We ordered wings, conch fritters, burgers, fries and hot dogs, mixed drinks (painkillers, rum punch, daiquiri) and beers. All food and drinks were very good. Large portions and good prices. Great vibes and a cheerful place to hang out. Thank you Mad Dogs for making our vacation truly amazing.

Jude made it very easy to leave 5 stars. He allowed my family to wait there with bags and cranky kids when we arrived and I can attest to the quality of the burger, my kids loved their orders as well. On top of that, every kid we sent to the bathrooms came back telling the others they were extremely clean. I apologize for missing the name of the worker from St. Lucia, but he was extremely professional. Mad Dog B&R was one of the highlights of the trip for me and my family. Thanks again Jude!

This place is an amazing lunch spot! The conch fritters really are worth the hype- they are definitely the best I’ve ever had and the spicy sauce that comes with it is homemade and amazing. The staff is so kind and they also have a great drink selection. Super easy to walk there from the baths! We can’t wait to come Bach :)

Mad Dog is a must-visit right at the entrance to The Baths! The owner is so kind and welcoming, and the food and drinks are incredible. The chicken salad sandwich was the best I’ve ever had. Don't miss the gingery lemonade and Painkiller cocktails -- the perfect way to end a beautiful day on Virgin Gorda!

Jude and his team are real stars!!! The food was half the price as the restaurant at the top of the baths and only a 100ft walk. Go there!!! Burger was so amazing after hike and swim. My boyfriend had the wings and loved them. I would go here before spending a fortune next door. Jude gives a specialized and individual experience. Food is cooked to order and didn't take long at all. Go there!!! Tell him Jacqueline said hi!!!

Visited on a public holiday around lunch time. I thought it would have been more vibesy but it was very quiet and empty. Waited quite a while for food but I guess maybe that's just how it is as the items are made to order. Our food tasted nice though. Will have to update when I revisit on a weekend which seems to me to be the more active time to visit.

If you arrive at the airport early ahead of departure - this is where I’d recommend spending a little time if you haven’t already. Open from early til late, we stopped by a few times to grab a morning coffee and a piece of cake before jumping on the Virgin Gorda Ferry, stayed longer one day for a great burger, and enjoyed the views of the pelicans catching their own lunch. Plus there’s veranda seating built over the water, shaded spots, and clean toilets, a good sized convenience store and a shower (small fee applies). It’s clearly all maintained and looked after well!

I enjoy stopping here when I pick friends at the airport. If you are leaving out EIS airport. It is a 5 minute walk

Too much plastic. Plastic baskets, Plastic utensils and difficult to eat with. Mahi mahi overcooked. Ribs overcooked. Loaded fries with something like cheese whiz and regular fries also not good. Chicken wings not really good. Service was friendly and efficient. Like most places in the BVI, Canned beer, some bottles. A few in our party thought it was the worse dinner we ever had. Hats off for service though. Many items not available on that day. Maybe the kitchen was suffering from the long and hard full moon party the night before. Location was good but the bay was the only one from many that wasn't really nice. Airport directly there (though not that much traffic) and very very loud toy boat races the whole day long ( Sunday).

I can't say I was particularly impressed by this Trellis Bay restaurant. Service was incredibly slow, both for simple drinks and food, and the food was on average okay. My specific fish of the day dish was bone filled and bland. Likely won't return.

Perfect place to wait for your plane or wait for others to arrive. Just a few steps from the terminal and on the water. Grab a quick bite and a drink while you wait. Or just enjoy the day.

Great place. Good food. Provisions if you need it. If you are around or at the airport and have time, walk over. Can’t recommend enough.

Located directly on the beach. We have rented lounge chairs from them, but after being exposed to most aromatic smells coming from their BBQ, we had to try something, and I must say that their BBQ chicken in their own slightly spicy BBQ sauce blew away all expectations. Absolutely delicious! This hole in the wall spot will be my first stop on any future visit to Tortola.

I enjoyed the vibe so much at this spot that in my five-day vacation I came here three times!!! The fish tacos were mouthwatering, the other time I got Chicken Roti and yessss it is their best dish! Drinks are amazing as well! I had great company & convo with the owner, toasted with champagne with the locals, played on the beach swing with the kids, and enjoyed a great Bonfire 🔥

A picturesque spot in Cane Garden Bay - and depending on the time of day depends on the experience. A Sunday evening was chilled watching the Super Bowl on an especially erected big screen with great food, a daytime was laid back with families eating, groups grabbing cocktails and sunbathing, but you’ll also find the odd party here on a Friday and Saturday night. Food was great - and portion sizes were large! On par with other food prices for dining out in the BVI with incredibly helpful and efficient service. Good cocktails too, and a great spot to just stop and grab a photo at the famous sign.

This was a fun place as the people there (a large group of boat owners) were very friendly and included us. The woman server was not friendly at all. I had the buffet. My plate was made for me - I didn’t get a choice of what I wanted nor if getting any more if I would have wanted. I didn’t want more because there was little that I actually liked. It was disappointing for the price. I would try this place again in hopes of a better experience.

Nice bar, helpful waitress, fabulous view, great sandy beach, out of season. All this nivelates the fact that the burger was overcooked, tacos were too sweet and the ribs came from a pig that probably died of natural causes, surrounded by her children, grandchildren and grand grandchildren. OK, fries were way above the average. The view, tho...

We had an amazing dinner with BBQ ribs and chicken. Throw on 2 for $7 run punch and you have a terrific evening. The prices were good, food terrific and atmosphere is the highlight. You cannot go wrong enjoying an evening here.

What an incredible experience dining with Vishay and his team. The menu has excellent and well thought out variety and they executed each dish perfectly for our visit. Service was great, cocktails delicious, I honestly can not think of anything that they could have improved upon that night. We will be looking forward to returning as soon as we can!

We came off our catamaran charter, with 12 hungry people and we were met with nothing but smiles, top notch service and the best meal of our week. This menu is perfect for meat eaters or veggie lovers. Our favorites were the quinoa bowl, Asian cauliflower and the hummus. Others in our group raved about the short ribs and the dynamite shrimp. The mock tail menu was one the best I’ve seen. Thank you for taking such amazing care of us. We cannot wait to return!

By far the restaurant in all of the BVIs. Santorini vibe decor, awesome drinks, super friendly staff, and excellent food. Most restaurants on the islands serve similar food, was great to have some variations with the sticky short ribs, tacos, greek salad, and more. The power went out on the island and they kept the drinks flowing and food coming in spite of it. Cannot recommend it enough!

We were able to get to Foxy’s this time through Jost Van Dyke, so glad we made the time. Very fun beach bar, typical of the BVIs where patrons’ t-shirts and flags adorn the walls and rafters. Festive atmosphere, bartenders were very sociable, service was good, drinks were great. Nice little boutique too! Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood!

We visited in April 2025. Hard to imagine a better place to lose yourself in the tropics. Spectacular location, great drinks and warm service. Be sure to bring something from home or gear from your college to add to their ceiling collection.

We’ve always wanted to visit Foxy’s, and we finally got our chance. It was the perfect stop before catching the ferry back to Tortola — the drinks were exactly what we needed to wrap up a great day. Laid-back vibe, good drinks, and a must-do if you’re in the area. So glad we finally got to check it off our list!

My daughter had her birthday party there with 40 of her closest friends on a Friday night. Service was fantastic. We were never without drinks! All the food came out hot. The egg rolls were a huge hit! I really like to go to Slingo on Wednesdays it's always a good time. I really like all the people that work there they're great!

You're here for the atmosphere... and it's great. Food and service are fine, but the atmosphere is what makes this place special. There was a band when we came. They were excellent and added a lot to that party feeling on our last day of sailing.

This was my favorite restaurant we visited during our sailing trip in the BVI! It has a great vibe with live music. There are 2 bars and a decent sized gift shop. We made reservations for the Saturday night buffet. It differs from an American buffet as you can get as much food as you want, but you can only visit the buffet once. Be sure to load up your plate the first (and only) time around. The food was amazing!! The macaroni salad was the best I've ever had. After dinner, there were people dancing to the live music and enjoying the vibe.

Beautiful view and amazing dirty martini with fresh blue cheese stuffed olives made by Frank! Reasonably priced. Swim to shore from your boat at night for dessert and nightcaps!!

Special Birthday dinner. And the staff truly made our night special. Food outstanding. Didn't stay here - but would definetly recommend eating here. We went back for a lunch meal after our dinner as we had several nights in the area.

We stopped in Hendo’s Hideout after enjoying a painkiller next door! LOL we only checked out the boutique, so this review is limited to that part of the establishment. Very nice shop, good selection and quality. Several members of our group purchased items, very happy with them days later! Nice place to shop at Jost van Dyke!

What's not to enjoy. A beautiful setting, turquoise water, and fabulous service! Life is truly a beach!!!

Nice place to get a drink or sit down and eat. Food is way overpriced, even compared with all the other island’s, but people seem happy to pay it. I enjoyed $18 nachos. Service was fast and the staff was great.

Our experience with our waitress, Winsome, was terrible. She forgot to enter our order into the computer and after waiting patiently for 45 minutes, we approached the bar to check on the status of our order…several of the passengers from our boat, but at other tables had been served their meals and were finishing up…we overheard bar staff state the order isn’t in the computer. Winsome approached us to say that we have only been waiting fifteen minutes and she is giving us food from other orders since we are complaining. Never apologized for failing to submit our order and then lied to us about how long our wait was. Once the bill arrived, we noticed the tip was already added to our bill (for a party of four). I asked the bartender if it is common practice to add tip and he said no. I insisted Winsome remove the tip she added and paid the bill including the tip she deserved after everything we experienced. The bartender next door received the remainder of her tip. Food was good.

What a chill spot! Our server was so awesome! He brought our drinks to the ocean so we didnt have to go far. Best lobster I’ve had within the islands. It tasted like it was just caught.

Celebrated my friends birthday while on a sailing trip. They had flavorful soup, huge lobsters, strong punch and delicious key lime pie. Lots of flavor and personality from Cynthia!

Cynthia is an absolute legend. My five friends and I had one of the best nights of our lives at Harris’ Place! Expect unparalleled hospitality and the best chat you’ll ever have. I’d recommend having lots of the rum punch :)

If I could give a higher rating, I would have. Cynthia was a welcoming host that greeted us all with hugs and immediately served her famous rum punch with “very strong rum” (this is a real thing), which were amazing, as was everything else. The group as a whole ordered the fish, the ribs, and lobster, all were absolutely fantastic. We finished the meal, with probably the most amazing key lime pie that I have had. What was probably most incredible, was the quaint, water front jungle vibe, complete with the sound of frogs in the background and wonderful lighting. We ended up being one of two tables full for dinner, and had the opportunity to spend some great quality time with Cynthia, who is just an amazing human being and was just a pleasure to spend the evening with. This was our best dining experience of our trip by far, and one of the best that I have had…possibly anywhere. Great night.

Amazing dinner at Harris’ Place with Cynthia! Incredible hospitality, amazing food, beautiful place. Our group had the lobster, ribs, chicken and grouper and everyone loved their meals. We started with some fantastic soup and tasty salad. The highlight of the meal with definitely key lime pie, best in the BVI. By far one of our favourite places in the Caribbean!

Nice little dockside restaurant with excellent food. I had the calzone and my family enjoyed pizza, wings and ribs. It was a nice change of pace after being on a sailing charter all week with limited food selections. Also- the waitress was great- very friendly. This is a great spot!

This place is open air, on the water and looks a little bit like a locals joint. Not a deep menu but everything we had was great. I had mahi mahi, friends had salmon and ribs. Toasted garlic bread was offered. Drink was good. Try this place.

We chose this restaurant for a meal on our last night. We wish we would have gone more than once and sooner! Rachel was our server and she was so incredibly friendly and helpful. We were seated right on the water. We started with cracked conch which was excellent, especially the batter. My wife had the braised short rib and I had the mahi-mahi special. Both were absolutely incredible! I absolutely loved the choice of music playing in restaurant (all covers of popular songs). Red Rock made for such a memorable last night on Tortola. Thank you!

This place was great! Stopped in for happy hour and returned that same night for dinner. The staff was funny and made you feel welcome. I would recommend stopping by for a drink and pizza.

Fine dining in the BVIs to include a wonderful selection of wines. Venue is seriously stunning. Food was fresh; seared tuna salad was lovely.

Came here on the recommendation of our boat Captain. I highly recommend reservations. They will do it for you. You have to order in advance so earlier in the day, because everything is fresh caught for you. I love the concept, and I love the atmosphere. The food, my lobster, was a little undercooked. The lamb was overcooked, but everybody ate everything, though. Desserts were delicious. In terms of cooking, they're a little off, I'm being nice, giving 4 stars on that. Great place. Cool little Bay to hang out to watch the sunset.

Beautiful spot for dinner, love the decor with string lights and rope details, tables are well spaced and service is lovely. Ordering ahead is great, especially in a larger group. I was surprised to learn that I prefer Caribbean lobster to Maine lobster as I had read it’s not as sweet. I do like Maine lobster, particularly the claw meat. But this Anegada lobster - both body and tail meat - was even more delicious to me. Less musky/overwhelming in flavor is my best attempt to describe why (I find Maine lobster similar to truffle in that way - very tasty but too much can be too much). The melted butter had thyme in it, perhaps some other flavors too - was the perfect accompaniment. The vegetables and potato were nicely cooked, though I didn’t finish my potato to save room for dessert. Glad I did - I ordered sticky toffee pudding and it was great with a generous scoop of ice cream so there was enough for every bite of cake. Only order that if you like your dessert sweet though! I also tasted the key lime and that was good too. Our whole party was happy including the littlest with his grilled cheese and two others who didn’t want lobster had a nice shrimp pasta and a chicken dish. A really lovely evening!

Beautiful bar and restaurant with great service and very good food. The stuffed chicken, the pork tenderloin and the lamb were cooked to perfection and very tasty, a great alternative to lobster. You have to pre-order, preferably by 3pm and reserve your table for the evening, however we were able to pre-order at 18:00 and get a table for 18:30. There is a nicely lit pontoon to tie up your dinghy and the option to sit outside or unter a small roof. Would definitely come here again.

We had a great evening at the lobster trap. It has its own dingy mooring and a wonderful terrace to dine on. We sadly weren't able to taste the lobster cause they didn't have any that day. We had the catch of the day instead which was well made. The people serving there were all incredibly nice. Definitely would come back! Remember, if you want to dine here you should reserve and place your orders by 4pm.

We got there just before 2pm and no one but our server Rian was there. We were starting to wonder where everyone was at. We decided to stay and try it out and was glad we did. Rian was very attentative and took care of our needs. Right on the beach so great views! We ordered the pork Ribs and Lobster Alfredo and man they were both delicious! Neither of us could finish our meal, nice healthy portions! If we were staying longer, we would definitely go back and try other dishes. Highly recommend this place, don't worry if it looks empty because the food is so ono (good). Come try, you won't be disappointed.

The place had a beautiful view as it was right on the beach/ water. Where we sat was open air, so no AC, but had a great breeze from the ocean. The service was attentive and food was great! The 4 of us ordered the chicken Alfredo, pulled pork sandwich, fish sandwich and mango jerk chicken wrap. All excellent! Give it a try!

Went on a recommendation for lunch to Long Bay it’s a beautiful place amazing beach and quieter than Cane bay. Was told to try 1748 bar restaurant but saw this restaurant from the beach so decided to try it for lunch and was so glad (1748 is lovely too) the food was great, service was excellent very friendly and attentive lovely staff a credit to the restaurant. Enjoyed a great lunch with beautiful view and excellent food. They do an island barbecue in the evening will go back and try it soon.

This place is just splendid… we had conch fritters, salad and a snapper sandwich which were all wonderful but more importantly we met Kenneth (Chef/family/owner) who was just a one of kind good person that really made our afternoon. Great spot and the beach views are just fantastic… don’t miss this one!!

Ribs were good and the sides were stir fried vegetables, fried plantain and potatoes. Staff were kind and the painkiller was great.

Tropical Fusion Beach Bar and Grill boasts breathtaking ocean views and a menu featuring fresh, local cuisine that truly delights the senses. A small outdoor venue at a Marina much as you would expect. The grounds are clean but rustic. The service is a bit slow with what feel a little grumpy of an attitude but once engaged they are funny. The food was good and good presentation. Not many choices in the area and it hit the spot. The ribs looked great and the mango slaw was wonderful.

Friendly, laid back, seaside bar and grill. Huge portions. Well maintained environment. Mostly boat people eating there about to go our on adventures, but land lovers fit in also. Wife Loved the grilled chicken 🐔 sandwich. They give you a ton of fries. Onion rings good too.

Late-night eats! Beautiful atmosphere and good food. Grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich that comes with fries. Calamari, chicken wings, and a side order of fries. The side order of fries was surprisingly large. The food was hot and came out pretty quickly.

Wonderful place for lunch and a beer. Deborah is awesome and the view can’t be beat. This is also where many of the charter boats pick us tourists up for our sailing fun. So lots of folks hang out here in Saturday afternoon waiting for their excursions to start.

We were a group of 10 with a reservation.. It was a Friday night which is their busy night (a lot of sailboat cruises go out on Saturday morning so all the crews tend to eat here on Friday). They were 100% set up and ready for the crowd.. our table was under a tent with sand at our feet. The service was excellent and the BBQ special helped set the tone for fun caribbean cuisine for our entire vacation.

The food was delicious and served in generous portions, but the service left much to be desired. It took 15 minutes for our server to acknowledge us, and when she did, she only took half of our party's order. We waited another 20 minutes for her to return and take the rest of our orders. The second half of our group ordered three appetizers, and we waited an entire hour for those, all while trying to get our server's attention, which was a challenge as she seemed to overlook us completely. By the time our food arrived, one part of the party had already finished eating while the other half was still waiting. After an hour, we received just one appetizer along with our main dishes. To top it off, when we settled the bill, the server insisted that we needed to tip in cash, which was completely unacceptable.

Great setting, my pulled pork sandwich was very good (seasoned well with zesty coleslaw). Fries were basic. Wonderful view & on beautiful beach for swimming.

Nice place, surprisingly empty for Friday night. We were looking for some relatively quiet place without loud music. At Foxy’s we could not even hear each other, but Ali Baba’s was cozy and quiet. Very friendly service, which is not a default in BVI… Thomas the chef greeted as and told us about all the dishes on menu, he said that all herbs and greens come from his garden and conch was also local (from Anegada island). Indeed, the conch fritters were the best of all that we tried during our weeklong trip to BVI. Mahi and beef steak also were enjoyable. We had a nice relaxed evening and would recommend it to everyone.

My experience was one of pure pleasure. Everywhere had basically shut down for the night even to this restaurant however when we asked if they would accommodate us for a meal, the lady said yes. The dinner was superb. I would recommend anyone to have lunch or dinner there.

We LOVE the wings at Ali Baba's!! We've enjoyed them twice now (buffalo and spicy mango, I think) and they were very good. The owner sells unique wood carvings that he personally makes, mostly of sea creatures, and we purchased a little turtle. It's recommended that you make a reservation in advance to assist the chef. They make everything fresh, so expect a wait on the food, but you won't be disappointed.

I had the best meal of my entire trip to the BVI at Ali Babas. Two people on our trip don’t even like fish and tried my fish and said it was incredible. Bobby told us stories and jokes and treated us like family. The laid back atmosphere encompasses the feeling of island life. I will come back here every time I visit Jost.

Stout’s has a great view which is why my husband and I went to dinner there. He had the ribs and I had the chicken tenders. My ribs were good but the tenders were a little dry. The Painkillers helped the vibe. Overall a great spot with a view and a place for drinks and a meal.

Super friendly. Had the jerk chicken and that was good. The view from here is spectacular overlooking Cane Garden Bay. It doesn’t get better. Bathrooms could use some attention.

I’d come again and recommend it! This place has an incredible view of Cane Garden Bay (most people say it’s the most beautiful bay on Tortola) and it’s just amazing. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food was good - I went there twice - and the drinks are nice and cold.

I don't understand how anyone could not give Stoutt's five stars. You take the view, the people, the cocktails and beers and you have a gem with the most magical view. All the staff were fantastic. We haven't eaten at the little food shack they have, but, don't expect this to be a hoity Michelin place. It's a gorgeous small bar on top of a hill with a great view. You get exactly what you should get there and I and my wife will be back the before we leave on this trip.... MUST GO!

I’m not sure what happened, there were 5 patrons, 2 parties of 2 and me. I was here for 3hrs and was struggling to get 2 drinks. Over an hr later I managed to get a check and a Togo beverage. 2 bartenders who both refused to serve yet alone acknowledge me.

We had a lovely meal at mulligans. Our kids enjoyed the playground area, the food was delicious and a peaceful atmosphere. Nothing more we could’ve asked for.

We always visit Captain Mulligans on Tortola ahead of our power cat yacht charter! They are a short walk from Nanny Cay Marina before you hop on your Aquilla Power Cat for your bucket list adventure.

One of my local hang out spots on Tortola. Love the atmosphere and the Captain Mulligans Team. Fries were not oily and I didn't need ketchup.

This place is definitely on island time. Food is late coming from the kitchen, not hot and they need to be cleaning the condiment containers.

While staying on Tortola I stopped by this place and was treated to the best coconut shrimp ever along with excellent shrimp quesadillas. My daughter stayed in the house with a migraine so I was by myself but later I got Chicken Alfredo and BBQ ribs to go and it helped get her back on her feet! Everything tasted homemade and made with pride and was totally delicious. The bartender was serving drinks to a crowd AND taking orders for food from the tables as well; he was a one man Army. You had to be patient with the service as he only had one helper serving over 40 people. I will definitely BE Back next time in Tortola!

We were here as part of an excursion to the Baths of Virgin Gorda, which is an amazing experience BTW. Included was lunch here. The menu was passes around on the boat earlier so our food was ready for us upon arrival. It was a very hot day. However, they didn't have all of the fans going. I asked a lady about turning them on but I'm not sure she understood me. Oh well. I had chicken tenders and fries. My husband had wings and onion rings. A friend had the burger with a salad. Chicken tenders were ok. Not overly fried. That's a plus. The fries were bland so I drowned them in salt and ketchup. The wings were good. However, my husband thinks the onion rings were fried in the same oil as the fish because they tasted fishy 🐟 🤔 The burger was good. The bun was easily 1/2 size bigger than the burger. The view at this place is almost as amazing as walking through the Baths. It's gorgeous 😍 Definitely worth sitting here to eat, even if not for the food.

It is quite difficult to drive there, especially on the left side of the road. Take your time, drive carefully, the roads are narrow. Very nice gift shops there. Top Of The Baths is an awesome restaurant. There is a complementary pool right on the restaurant deck, gorgeous view! They make the best french fries, crispy on the outside and fluffy and hot inside. Recommended dish: jerk chicken sandwich, chicken wings, crab fritters, seafood chowder and of course the "painkiller"!

We enjoyed a nice lunch here before walking through the Baths. Spouse and I split a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. It had a nice taste and the price was right. The views looking toward Tortola and over the Baths are beautiful. There's also a pool at the restaurant-not sure, but it looked like it was open to patrons.

Good restaurant with excellent service. We hung out in the pool while waiting for our food. Incredible view from the deck as you can see in my pictures. This was an excellent place to start our trip to The Baths. This was a 10-15 minute taxi ride from Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor.

Fun ship to go have a drink on. Everyone loved that you can jump off the back of it from the second story. Seems like a big attraction you have to see when you’re out there. Bartender was nice, drinks were good.

Great place to go grab a cocktail and hang out for a few hours watching folks jump off the back of the upper deck! 😁 Good fun for all! We had teenagers with us, so we went mid-afternoon to avoid any possible nighttime “adult” activities… Willy T’s can get a bit rowdy in the evening… so we hear! LOL Our mid-afternoon was awesome family fun! Will return for sure…

This floating bar off Norman Island is an absolute blast and unique experience. We visited around noon with a group of adults, young adults and teens, so we were lucky it was pretty quiet at the time. We heard this place can get pretty packed and rowdy, so it was nice to have the whole boat to ourselves. Jumping off the top deck is a must! The kids could have done this all afternoon. The pub grub and drinks were very good. They had menu options for everyone. Service was very friendly. Definitely an experience worth trying if you’re in the BVI’s!

Great place with a fantastic atmosphere. We got there early (8pm) and I commented that we came too early as things didn't get going yet. One of our group commented that we might just be 20 years too late (cause of our age and all). Things got going around 9pm and it was a lot of fun. Cheap painkillers and fun music. Thank you goes out to the bartenders that asked the girls dancing on stools to dance on the bar instead. Safety first!

Amazing place! The food was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was great. The only issue I had was the number of bees around, though I understand that’s not something easily controlled. Despite that, I had an awesome time and would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend!

One Love was my first stop on Jost Van Dyke toward the end of the Bad Kitty (Calypso) snorkel tour on my first day of vacation to the USVI and BVIs on May 2nd, 2018. The boat anchored right across from One Love. They are the first bar (to my knowledge) from the left of the South facing shore of White Bay so you gotta start there and make your way one by one to the right till you get to the furthest stop on that beach. Grab a few drinks, a few shirts and get your One Love on! Check out the phallic flute on the bar. Not sure if you can play it but there's only one way to find out! :D

No Love at One Love Booted from Our Table - We had just finished eating and were ready to order more drinks when the bartender asked us to vacate the table so that others could sit there. Never mind that there were stools available at the bar and plenty of other seats around. No one in our small group was loud or obnoxious in any way so there was no excuse for the bartenders behavior. In all of my life I have never been asked to leave a table to make room for someone else. As for the food, the lobster quesadillas are just a gimmick, very little lobster in an otherwise over cheesy panini wrap. By comparison, the chicken quesadilla was loaded with meat. The shrimp salad was real joke, 5 medium sized overcooked shrimp and the only dressing they had as Italian. Find someplace else to eat.

The fish was terrific and the best choice. We also had the BBQ platter and it was ok. The serve your own bar was a blast. Great family run business and a must stop if doing the BVI.

We loved our time at Sidney’s. Wonderful place in beautiful cove — Little Harbour JVD. The 5 of us had drinks on the deck followed by excellent ribs and chicken. Strawberry and her son Ronaldo are extremely friendly, outgoing and gracious hosts. Highly recommend this harbour and restaurant/bar if you are interested in a gorgeous view with great food at an authentic, local family run spot.

Sydney's peace and love cafe was devastated by Irma, however it's back up and running. Food absolutely amazing all home made you must go. The lobsters were massive and succulent and the ribs and chicken to die for. It's the green and yellow building in the little bay. Please support as it's family run business.

Run down bar with terrible service. Great beach, but many other great options on the island. Getting into off season, so few people here, maybe that was the problem? Poorly maintained and equipped dining areas, nothing invested in fixing up the place. We had one drink and left… It’s tired, nothing worth the stop IMHO…

We docked at this island for the night. We rented scooters to visit some local bars on this island of only 270 residents. The road back to this bar is soft sand and stutter bumps. A bit scary on a scooter and one of our group wend down so think about the car instead. The drinks were good and the beach is nice. A little on the quiet side and simple. We enjoyed but no real energy here just a whatcha want attitude. I wouldn’t pass it up as it is a legend and we want to support local economy do you part if you are here.

Enjoyable location for an afternoon at the beach. Lots of fun little details to view and play with like swings, darts, ring toss, etc. It felt quintessentially Caribbean. The food portions were quite small (ahi bites, fries, conch ceviche) and the cocktail flavor wasn’t as good as other places on the island. The service also wasn’t very happy to see us around 4pm and the bartender kept saying how exhausted they were from a tour group and how she might not even serve us… so that was a bummer vibe. Knocking off one star for service and another for drink/food quality.

Great beach bar with old school vibes. Not pretentious. Had the conch stew and it was delicious. Drinks were reasonably priced and made well. The snorkeling is so so but that doesn’t reflect the bar. There are bathrooms onsite. If you’re looking for snorkeling try loblolly.

The beach here is a fantastic natural carbonate beach. This means the sand is stark white and cool even with intense sun. The bar is one of the most chill on the island and the owner keeps it very relaxed. Maps has been marking it as closed but it is open.

The beach there is really lovely. The sea water was warrrrrmmmmm right through while I was in it. It has a reef barrier far out. I've never gone anywhere else and experienced warm sea water like that. It almost felt like a hot tub. There weren't many people on the beach, it's a wonderful place to relax and grab a bite and a drink. I will surely be back with friends!

TLDR: Vegan options exist, but they are mostly bland, and you'll wait 1-2 hours for your food. Atmosphere: modern, clean, and generally one of the nicer restaurants in the BVI. No real complaints about the atmosphere except that while trying to enjoy a nice quiet meal, they turned on all the TVs and projector for the cavemen to watch sportsball. When paying almost $100/person, I do not want to hear screaming people and loud announcers. Service: All of the servers were nice, but it took one hour and 45 minutes for us to receive our food after ordering. There is "Island Time" and then there is just bad kitchen management. Food: There are lots of vegan options, but it was all so bland except for the soup. The soup not only was seasoned well with salt but also had a nice spice. Everything else just felt like it was veggies on a plate. Nothing interesting, just boring. This restaurant is far from "luxury." Considering this is one of the premier restaurants in the area, I'm surprised the ratings are so high.

This place is expanding quick! Came here by Yacht a few times in the spring of 2022. The bay has about 10 mooring balls available and there is a small marina with slips available. The best kept secret of the BVI for now. No one really travels beyond Saba Rock by boat to find e in here, so the seclusion is quite refreshing. Many times I'm the only one moored out here. The snorkeling is great. The restaurant and bar at Nova is excellent. I haven't been disappointed by the service, drinks or food here. A small pool is situated just at the front of the seating area overlooking the bay. There is a toilet/ shower facility as well as a tiny provisions/coffee shop here as well. Two boutique shops are here with clothing offerings. I'm hopeful this place remains "busy" with just the resort guests and not go hot on the charter yacht radar. Certainly looking forward to more visits in the future.

Always amazing. Great service and food. Lucky enough to try the brunch menu on this Saturday visit. Love the Top chairs. Easy dinghy ride over from the North Sound or grab one of the many mooring balls in deep bay.

We recently celebrated my boss’s 60th birthday at this wonderful restaurant, and the entire experience was truly exceptional. All of our guests were thrilled with the outstanding service provided by the staff, who went above and beyond to make the evening memorable. A special shoutout to Ronisia, whose expertise in 5-star service made the celebration even more special through thoughtful touches we didn’t even ask for. The food was consistently delicious, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere. If you visit, be sure not to miss the Nova experience in the Bitter End area—skipping it would be a real shame! Overall, this restaurant offers a perfect blend of superb service, delectable cuisine, and a truly memorable setting. Highly recommend for any special occasion!

Beautiful area of the island. A little out the way from the rest of the usual island spots. Very soothing area with a stiff sea breeze. The restaurant has a beautiful set up with unique furniture, pool and lounge areas. The service and food was only ok considering the price. The menu was a little confusing. I ordered a fried mahi mahi fish and chip plate from a section that described it as a large shareable portion. It was barely a portion for one person when it arrived. The service couldn't explain the reason for this. Another in the party ordered 3 different sushi rolls and only received one. When he asked where the other two were the server seemed to have no idea what he was talking about and asked if he actually ordered 3 rolls. She went back and checked and ended up bringing the 2 other rolls right out. Not sure what that was about. We didn't want to make an issue of it so we just ate what we got.

Arrived at 6:45 and took almost 1.5 hours to get to main course and it didn’t appear to be that busy. Weren’t offered dessert and the waitstaff were taking our water glasses and placemats by 8:45. Food was good.

A bit windy tonight so decided to rent dock space in Virgin Gorda. Wanted a drink and dock security suggested this place. Only here for drinks so can’t comment on the food. Good happy hour cuz we left happy.

Cute outdoor restaurant that has variety of things on their menu like pizza, sushi rolls, sandwiches. As a vegan, I got the vegetarian pizza with no cheese and fries

The food was very tasty. The atmosphere is not quite what was expected but the service is nice and the wifi was good. The washroom is a long strange convoluted walk but that's likely because this isn't really a building but a bit of a ramshackle covered patio. Nicely decorated for what it is. I'd treat this as a lunch spot. We enjoyed it and would return. Would be nice if they played a bit more music.

Good burgers 🍔👌🏼 Great cocktails! 🍹🍸 But all pizzas 🍕 taste just like cheese in my opinion 🙈 but if you are a big fan of cheese then you’ll like it - it is like a blanket of cheese on top.. Be aware that there is lots of mosquitoes - luckily like everywhere you can borrow a bugspray 😅

Absolutely wonderful home made food. Fresh salad and the chicken tenders had a coconut type crust with fantastic curry sauce on the side. Def come here.

Great service and good food. We visited in January 2020. Located down the road from Virgin Gorda yacht club, the restaurant can be walked too if coming in by yacht. See my pictures for full menu and photos of venue. No sea views but a nice stop with decent service and fantastic food. We ate the pizza and burgers which we all good. Definitely a worth while visit.

Enjoyable beach and drinks. Free umbrellas and chairs by the ocean. $25 minimum on cards. Drinks were decent but average quality. This bay is written in the guidebooks as being the best snorkeling in BVI. While it was certainly interesting, I wouldn’t call it the best— for example, compared to Norman Island.

We only stopped here to enjoy the beach, so this review is limited to that experience. It’s a great beach, relatively shallow inside a well defined reef some distance off shore. Loblolly Beach. Lots is seaweed this time of year, so not great, clear water. The beach is on the windward side of the island, so windy and wavy in the water. That said, great place to stop for a swim!

Big Bamboo is in a great location at Loblolly beach. They have a decent menu and the service was good. We had burgers, shrimp and chicken wings - all good, but the favorite was the wings. They didn’t have any lobster unfortunately. They have a beautiful beach where you can take your drinks and enjoy the water.

We loved it here.... We poured our drinks at the bar and ordered a Chicken Roti ( curry blend all rolled up) it was absolutely delicious 15.00 which fed both of us. They have a small gift shop. I saw one of the funniest shirts yet.... calming a woman down is like.......you will have to go visit to see. It has great views, friendly staff ( the bartender was a small boy when we first started coming here years ago, now a young man.

Getrudes is so awesome! Where else can you walk up to a bar and make your own drinks for a flat price you ask? Well Getrudes is your place and I got to say Ricky was awesome! We already miss it and can't wait to get back there

First day we had a great older gentleman and the pain killers were spot on with flavor and pour! The next day we returned to hopefully repeat however a younger bartender could have cared less to help us out. We poured ourselves which was not as epic as it seemed and he was too bothered on his phone to guide us. The “lime in the coconut” he poured was not very tasty Unfortunate so if he’s pouring we won’t be back sadly and oh….no baby goats either :(

We tied up to the dinghy dock here where they charge $5 if you don't purchase anything. We bought a beer. They sell empanadas which we also ended up buying. They were delicious and the crew loved them. This is a great crew lunch that you should not miss. They sell pork and veggie versions. Cheers!

Joan at Sugar & Spice Snack Bar has a little dinghy dock off the customs building in Great Bay Harbor/ covered tables and seating area While checking in I went and ordered some sandwiches and got a couple of cokes out of the Frig 2.50 each. Beer is also available She has a dew funny T shirts for sale, the sign says 3 for 10.00 beer for happy hour unfortunately I was there at 10:00 am. She makes breakfast sandwiches/ Johnny Cake and Empanadas 6.00 that are delivered by a dinghy each morning to the boats in each bay ( these can be pre ordered the day before for yourself or crew - I attached her business card) ice drop off and garbage pickup for 5.00 also available at your boat. At her cafe she has shaded tables across the street behind customs

We really enjoyed the empanadas. What a treat to have them delivered by dinghy right to our boat. A wonderful start to the day and a taste of local cuisine. Delicious! We tried both pork and lentil filled empanadas and they were fantastic.

Ms. Joan is a wonderful person and makes the best empanadas! We have been coming here in the yacht for 5 years, and it has become a right of passage every time we are in Jost. Make sure to order the day before… She has a dinghy dock right next to Customs and Immigration, or you can phone it in. You can pick-up or have delivered to your yacht, and she also sells ice and will take your trash.

Came for dinner as our skipper recommended it. The hot wings were really good but the lobster was not very flavorful but was very fresh. The owner is very nice and checked up on us after the meal. Instead of country music they should play more island music.

I am from the Virgin Islands and have never been to this little island in my 30 something years. But it was totally worth it. It was as second nature to everyone to make sure we knew where to go, what to do and that we had fun.

What can I say? This is our happy place. We feel like family whenever we are here! Clean, cute, comfortable rooms, fantastic food (best breakfasts anywhere!), very friendly service from the staff and owners and a truly spectacular view. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Best of the dinner choices and only kind service we experienced in Anegada. Food was again simple as one would expect in Anegada. However this time prepared wirh great care and had some delicate touch compared to other beach restaurants. Try lobster, you won’t regret.

Beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view. We spent the day in virgin gorda and decided to try to place out. The pizza was amazing! Our sever was the sweetest. They gave our friend, who was celebrating her birthday a cheerful birthday song and slice of cake. Would definitely come back! Thank you ❤️

The view is spectacular! It was by far one of our favorite places for food, staff, drinks, swimming in the pool overlooking the islands in the distance and the chef made me a special lobster I requested so I felt special. It has a nice bar, lots of different places to eat and relax. Love, Love, loved it! We will be back!

We LOVED Sugarcane! The view is amazing, the pool is so much fun, and the food and service were great. Jeff and Chanel and the rest of the staff took such pride in taking care of us and providing personal attention. All of it made for an atmosphere that’s hard to beat!

The ambiance is simply welcoming and what I had for a three course lunch was excellent! Appitizer was tostonis with a refreshing salsa. Main course was a burger with stuffed cheese and the desert was not too sweet. I'll go back to try something different

Absolute highlight of our stay in Road Town. Don’t miss this delicious and beautiful hidden gem. Our breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, and breakfast burrito were all excellent. We loved the fresh pressed juice (no water or anything else added to it), matcha, and iced chai teas. We enjoyed seating in the outdoor courtyard. This is a few minutes from the craft village and next door to the spice shop. Highly recommend!

Was looking for a cafe to work a few hours but they charge wifi after an hour. Spacious place but didn’t stay long.

Suzanne was amazing (I hope I spelled that right!) ! Great service and conversation! We're here on a short visit and she told us a little bit about the island. We had the Jerk Chicken and the Bahn Mi. My favorite was the bahn mi, spicy and fresh and so delicious. The jerk chicken was really good too. They were both different than other ones I've had before. Love!!! I didn't try the coffees but I'm sure they amazing too!! Working AC is a bonus.

Have been in the Carribean for 3 months starting from south and going north. So happy to be sitting here with a good standard coffee and a nice atmosphere. Tortola has the best coffee shops I have experienced for the Carribean by a long way.

This place was amazing! One of my favorites on my trip. The service was by far the best I’ve had in a while. My family had the pleasure of having the owner serve us and her husband cook for us. The food was amazing - I had the muscles for an appetizer and pesto pasta for the main course - and I could tell everything was cooked with love and care. Would recommend to anyone visiting BVI.

As authentic as Italy and we were welcomed like we were family. We found Giorgio’s on our second night in the BVI and went back every night after. Cozy dining room, great wine, and the best authentic Italian food. Lily makes you feel like family, and her husband’s pizzas are unbeatable. A true gem.

2024 Feb. our second time at Giorgio and it was just as special. Lily was there to serve us and ensure we had a lovely time. Lily chose the perfect wine for our meal. The food was delicious and the deserts were light and delicious. 2022 June - It was our last night in the BVI‘s and we were looking for a great little restaurant to spend our time together. We wanted pizza and the other restaurant we had been to in the past was closed. Many others were closed on Sunday too. But we took a chance and called and Giorgio answered and he said he would open the restaurant for our group. We were delighted and thought we were going to a little pizza place. Imagine our delight when we saw this awesome restaurant. The decor was lovely. They had a great wine list. Giorgio greeted us like we were old friends and brought us fabulous wine. The food was delicious. We had a variety of dishes but we absolutely loved the pizzas. I highly recommend you visit this restaurant when you are in Tortola.

Everything was exquisite. From appetizers to entree. Lilly shared her story of acquiring the restaurant starting as a pizza chef. Her wine paring was phenomenal. Definitely consider the eggplant with homemade sauce it was so good it could have served as entree. Seared tuna was cooked perfectly with a very unique sauce. The entree, WOW! Riley with grilled mixed veg and potatoes. Balsamic vinegaret was sweet and savory. Very best of luck to you and your husband with the baby! We will see you soon!

Everything about this place is fantastic! Our family of 6 shared the very best meal here, enjoying the perfectly quaint dining area, our host/server Lily was so sweet and kind, and the food…!!! Amazing. We loved the pizza; everything was so fresh (no pics because we ate it too fast!). But don’t sleep on the rest of the menu. The ravioli appetizer had us all hooked from the start, and we shared a beautiful plate of fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. If it wasn’t near the end of our trip we’d surely be back. Thank you Lily & co for such a lovely meal!

Simply the best ever . The location is just beautiful. It’s on the quiet side of the island next to beautiful things beautiful beaches. The staff were just absolutely lovely especially ketanya and Roy. Really just a wonderful family vibe hotel with delicious restaurant that care about their guests. Also hit them up for any advice on car rental or anything else. They’re happy to assist . definitely coming back.

If you’ve already booked this property and have an opportunity to cancel, I strongly recommend doing so, and if you’re considering booking, don’t. Nothing is as advertised. I'm an easy and flexible traveler, so for me to be disappointed, it really took a lot. We were a group of 6 with 3 different rooms booked - all of us had entirely different but equally disappointing experiences. I personally booked a Standard Room with a Queen Bed and Garden View for 7 days. The booking photos showed a bright, spacious, and tropical-inspired room with beautiful furnishings (see photos as per my booking confirmation). However, upon arrival, the room bore absolutely no resemblance to the photos advertised. The room I was given was shockingly bad—far worse than anything I could have anticipated. It was so tiny and poorly designed that two people could barely move without bumping into each other. The space felt claustrophobic, outdated, and completely lacking the vibrant and inviting charm portrayed in the photos. The furniture was shabby, the decor was uninspired and tired, the room smelled like a moldy, stuffy cottage, and the overall atmosphere was old and depressing (see real photos). While the bed and basic amenities like the refrigerator and coffee maker looked technically functional, they did nothing to compensate for the suffocatingly small size, the dreary ambiance, and the blatant misrepresentation of the room. After spending way too much time arguing with the front desk and explaining the stark difference between what I booked and what I received, they finally admitted that they only have one room on the property that actually looks like the photos online. They even told me that the room I was initially given is better suited for a quick one-night stay—so why on earth would they assign it to someone staying for a full week? Reluctantly, they moved us into another room, which was marginally better but still nowhere near what I had booked. After an extremely lengthy conversation, the manager agreed to compensate me a few days stay, but despite my ongoing efforts, no refund had been issued and only after another month of follow ups once I got home did I finally get compensated as promised. Our vacation was stressful, uncomfortable, and overshadowed by the constant battle for even the smallest form of compensation. This seemed to be a recurring issue at Sebastian’s, as we repeatedly saw other guests leaving early, arguing with the front desk, and voicing similar complaints about their rooms and the property in general. Other things to note: There is no beach despite claims or suggestions to the contrary (see photos), a balcony suite may be a balcony or it may be a patio with zero privacy right next to the restaurant with guests a few feet away (as some of our friends found out), and the overall property is in desperate need of maintenance and attention. In addition, as others have noted in the review, the restaurant staff were annoyed if you had questions about the menu or dietary restrictions and every time we ate there, something in our order was wrong - and when you asked even nicely, the annoyance level just increased. If you’re considering staying or eating here, save yourself the frustration and book elsewhere. You may be lucky and get the one room that is as advertised, but please don't bother, it's not worth it. A few positives: the hotel did offer a free shuttle service to Smugglers Cove which was a beautiful nearby beach; this area and location is a surfing destination right out your door for those interested (there were lots of surfers out regularly).

We stayed here last year and absolutely was not what was advertised, but enjoyed dining in the restaurant. We've come back this year to Tortola and unfortunately Sebastian's service is the worst we have ever experienced and as a result we wont be returning! Nobody says hello, we ordered food and drinks, waited a good 40 minutes and someone finally turned up with my cocktail but not a Heineken for my partner (the easiest of drinks to grab and take to a table). The cocktail only turned up because one of our table complained at the bar as they were receiving shoddy service as well. They actually decided not to order food because of the sevice. When the cocktail turned up, I asked about the brownies we ordered and she said that they didn't have any (after 40 minutes of waiting!). Ultimately, sebastiens are losing out on custom because of their shocking service. It's a real shame as they do the best painkillers on the island.

I took my family there for dinner to celebrate my youngest son’s birthday and it was such a disappointment. The food took at least 1 hour to be served after ordering. The filet came out rare when we had asked for medium and when they brought it back to the table the steaks were half the size (about 3-4 ounces when they are advertised/described as 8 ounce)..The location is great but it is the worse service and food quality for the price point. Would not recommend it for dinner. What a shame….

I created this new business listing on Yelp because the existing listing for The Seaside Grill is the restaurant/bar at this location. The Grille's reviews cover both the hotel and the restaurant/bar, but they are separate operations. In fact, on other websites, the restaurant/bar is named Nardie's Beach Bar. In fact, the Nardie's sign is still on the wall in the bar area! We did not have a good experience at the hotel. The resort was nice, decent beach, nice amenities. That said, we were stuck in a room up the street, not in the hotel building across from the office. It appears the owner bought the building up the street and turned it into a few rooms but had not done the rehab work yet. The room had a nice balcony and a great view, and we could see the resort down the beach when we looked out! The room itself was a wreck. Fixtures pulled out of the wall in the bathroom, rust in the sink and tub, the bathroom door had been kicked in at some point and was not repaired. The electrical things in the room were bizarre, extension cords and surge strips run over doorways and across walls to reach appliances. Good thing there was no fire, the fire extinguisher on the floor by the door was not charged. If we were going to be there more than one night, we would have insisted on a different room. We did tell the desk about the issues in the AM, and they did give us a voucher to cover most of the cost of the room, which we used in the restaurant. Don't get stuck in the rooms up the street, insist on staying in the building across from the office, by the restaurant/bar and the beach...

Went here to do some snorkeling and got hungry, so I decided to have a quick bite to eat. The lady greeted us with a huge smile and a very pleasant warmth about her. We asked for 2 cheeseburgers, I have to say, honestly surprised I wasn't expecting anything great, but it was really delicious. The best way I can describe it is, imagine a giant Kystalsburger. Right?But with real meat and real flavors and with lettuce and tomatoes and onions really, really good. If you're in a hurry or just want something to eat, I highly recommend stopping by and having a burger. By the way, the beach snorkeling area right out from here is the most beautiful reef I've ever snorkeled in my life, and I've been diving for 40 years, unbelievable swim throws gorgeous life simply amazing.

Do not pass by the sign "Flash of Beauty." You will have the best food in all of the BVI. They have a local chef who cooks all authentic food. It's exactly what you are looking for to have a unique Island experience. Monica is fantastic and you haven't lived until you tasted her home made Roti. She serves the different ways and they are all delicious. She makes the shells herself. The curry is the best I've tasted. I call her teasingly the Queen of the Caribbean Roti. We had her make us a special dinner one night and we had fresh caught and cooked fish and lobster and several side dishes. Drinks are great too. And it's all right on a beautiful beach.

Unfortunately Flash of beauty was closed, however the area is amazing. The water is crystal clear and has amazing snorkeling. Found a live conch in the water first thing. Yes, we put the little guy back after a couple pictures.

We love going to see Charo and Monica! Their food is the very best and they always have a warm smile! Their beach is the most wonderful for snorkeling! We love to visit them year after year! This is a must to see and eat!

What a gem! We had a family style dinner on the last day of a bachelor/bachelorette party and it was amazing! From the curry goat to the jerk chicken, John and Rose know how to hook it up! The hospitality was phenomenal and the vibe was right! Can’t wait to visit again!!

Great spot for breakfast. The owner Rose is a wonderful cook and super host. The coffee was smooth and strong the bacon and organic eggs freshly made. We’ll worth a pit stop.

If you are in Jost Van Dyke, there is absolutely no better place to stop and eat! John was such an incredible host. We had a large group of 18 people, and they were so quick to accommodate us, and with such great care. Ms. Rose is a next level chef! The family style meal was reasonably priced, and the food got better and better. I've not had any jerk chicken, ribs, or curried goat better than here. I can't say enough good things!!

On my last night on Jost (first time ever traveling to BVI) I went here after every other restaurant on the island had closed their kitchens and this place was great. They make probably one of the best burgers and fries I’ve ever had and I appreciated them making it for me so late. Will definitely go back during my next trip down.

If you’re looking for a quick speedy place for lunch this is not the spot for you. They take their time making your food and you can definitely tell! While we were waiting for our food, we only saw locals coming and grabbing their to-go orders so you know it’s good!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at The Watering Hole, and it was an experience worth sharing. Stopped here for lunch at the recommendation of our snorkeling tour guide. We were told by the hostess to sit wherever we wanted but some guy outside told us the only empty tables in the shade were his, so we went inside. No one brought us a menu, so we eventually got up to get a menu from the bartender. We saw a couple of servers running around outside and coming in to get drinks, but they didn’t come to our table. The tables we tried to sit at outside that we were told were taken sat empty the entire time we were there. After 20 minutes of waiting, we got up and ordered from the bartender. We arrived just after 12:30, and our ship was leaving at 2 pm, but at 1:15, we still did not have food or the drinks we ordered and a server had never been to our table. Back to the bartender we went to tell them we were going to have to leave to make it back to the ship on time. We were told our food would be out soon, and handed us our drinks. We didn’t get food till after 1:30, since you are not allowed to bring unpackaged food on board, we just had to eat what we could before rushing back to the ship. We were there for over an hour, and none of the servers came to our table, only someone from the kitchen who brought our food over. Terrible experience, we should have just walked around town and eaten on the ship instead of wasting all the time we had here.

DEFINITELY try the pizza, it's smokey. First class ambience if you ljke laid-back and temperate. You can find a reasonably mixed patronage or balanced I should say, Ex-Pats, Yuppies and Movers n Shakers but no Keyboard Warriors. Coffee available all day long because... Is Tortola. Menu is great, amicable catering to vegan consumptions as well. Nuff said. Happy travels

The condos could stand a little updating, but overall a very pleasant stay. Private entrance and patio space out back with a beautiful garden and views of the mountains of Tortola. Waterfront dining. Great location, walking distance to everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are fine but could use some updating. The main reason for the low rating is the insanely loud DJ music blaring for 4.5 hours from 6-10:30pm. Our requests to kindly stop the music or at least turn down the volume were declined. The next night (Saturday) was Karaoke Night with all manner of bad, drunk singing late into the evening. It wasn’t nearly as bad as the club music the night before. Also we had no access to the pool on Saturday afternoon —the one day we could have used it— because it was rented out for a private birthday party. Perhaps this property manager thinks he’s managing an entertainment venue rather than a hotel? Be forewarned.

A quiet harbour side, marina. Wonderful staff and well cooked delicious food, we had the fried chicken. Located close to the cruise terminal yet just off the beaten track, a local sense of place for slow, pleasurable sipping.

It was hard to find a place to park at first but we finally found the parking lot for the Administration bldg which allows public parking. The walk from there was not long at all, maybe 5 mins. We almost missed the entrance because of the direction we were coming from. Someone who works at the marina asked us if we needed any help and then told us we could sit at the picnic table and wait for our boat. They were very nice. There are bathrooms nearby, and a restaurant and bar very close.

Located right on the front overlooking the marina. Good service and a great location for a couple of drinks. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food orthe hotel. Free WiFi.

Booked the executive suite which has a great view of the marina. Check-in was great and people lovely. Was disappointed at the bar, ordering 2 short glass cocktails which came to $26+tip. Spoke to some locals who said that was a crazy price even for BVI. Rooms are what you would expect for BVI which is a little dated and worn. Did wake up in the middle of the night to hear music blasting like it was in our room. So if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to find another hotel. Overall location is great with easy access to shopping.

Have a layover before heading to Jost Van Dyke in the AM. Cute little hotel, bar, restaurant along the docks. Friday happy hour included fritters, soup, quesadillas, mini carrot cakes and a spiked melon drink. Definitely check them out if you're staying a night in Road Town!!

I was with a party of 6 that are just beginning a week on a chartered catamaran. Gene's was recommended by our charter company and were told they would shuttle us back and forth from the marina. Robin picked us up within 30 minutes of calling the restaurant. Robin and Gene, the chef, own the restaurant. They are friendly and accommodating. All 6 of us enjoyed our food and the experience was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Great Family run restaurant! Felt like a part of their family when I was there. We were staying in the marina for a couple of days. We went to Gene’s the second night there. And had to go back for lunch and dinner the days after. I had the BBQ Ribs, Coconut Curry Lobster, Ribeye, and the Spicy BBQ sandwich. All were amazing, great flavors and nice and hot! The bar was well equipped with your favorite cocktail makings and beer! Definitely going back next time I am in the BVI.

We were greeted by a very friendly couple with 1st class service from beginning to end. My lamb shank was fork tender and delicious on a bed of jasmine rice. My guest also enjoyed the curry lobster and salmon followed biblical mango cheesecake. We were very happy we chose to dine here.

We got to meet Gene who was a great cook! Loved her roasted lamb and key lime pie. Be sure to wear bug spray. The restaurant has nice outdoor seating but it's by a marina where we got lots of bug bites.

Good food it was next to our Airbnb. I got curry goat, rice & French fries. Delicious. The fries were the best part. Paid $18 for the meal. It was nice & cool on the balcony even though it was a very hot day. I heard she made great roti but it wasn’t available the days I came. I’d eat here again.

Nice chill spot! The prices were very good for BVI and the portions were very generous. Food was delicious, this is my first restaurant in BVI, so I'll update this review once I can do better comparisons.

Every item in the menu was delicious. We had ribs, pork tenderloin, mutton, all were tender and well seasoned. Service was friendly and attentive- Moya did wonderful! The owners even provided transportation to and from the marina.

We only stopped for drinks on our way back to the cruise terminal which is about ten minutes away, after spending the day at Cane Garden Bay. We didn't eat, hence four stars, but there is a pretty good looking menu. We'd wanted to spend our day on the nearby island of Jost Van Dijk but sadly due to a cancelled boat trip we weren't able to go which in turn meant that we weren't able to go to the Soggy Dollar bar and taste their legendary cocktail, the Painkiller. So I was pleasantly surprised to see a Painkiler on the Bamboushay restaurant & bar menu. My wife had a cocktail, I forget which, but she enjoyed it. So I had a Painkiller, which was lovely. I really enjoyed it, once I'd given it a quick stir. I've not seen one in the UK but I can easily imagine having one if I see it on the menu back home. The staff are really friendly and polite. The bar is right in the centre, there's music playing and the bar had a really good atmosphere. The bar was also very comfortable, plenty of seating, a nice bit of space and with clean restrooms. It wasn't cheap but it was a nice place to sit, in the shade and watch the world go by. We didn't stay long but if, and when we return to Tortola, we'll definitely return. Tortola was definitely our favourite island on our recent Carribean cruise. Went for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and had the special fried yellow tail fish with two sides. It was one of the best meal I had while visiting the Islands. We sat outside and the area was shady and country music playing. Very nice experience!! Walking distance from the marina where we docked.

We loved Bambooshay so much we went twice in one day! Javier was our lunch waiter, super sweet, attentive, and made our meal feel special. The food was amazing! We came back for dinner and had Simone, who was just as wonderful. Both of them were so kind and made our experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!

What an amazing find. Great food and fun people serving. Great prices too. A minute walk from the ferry dock, just east, past the Pusser's store. We'll worth it. It's where locals go for great food and drink.

Food was definitely great here. The reason I gave four stars was I ordered the scallops and they were a little bit small compared to what I was expecting. Outside of that The drinks were cold and the music and atmosphere were amazing. This is a The best spot to get out of the sun and get a cold beverage with local band beach vibe music.
