A delightful restaurant in every way. We were a group of four, and we dined here two nights in a row for dinner. The food was incredible! Great local meals cooked to perfection using quality ingredients. You can’t ask for more than that. First night we dined outside and the second night inside due to the overwhelming smokers. The service was fast (for a large busy restaurant) and super friendly. Both dinners were memorable for both the food and service.

We had dinner at Le Fer Rouge yesterday evening. The atmosphere was lively, and the restaurant is clearly very popular, so booking a table in advance is definitely recommended. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was excellent. For our taste (we are Hungarian), the food was a little milder than we expected, and overall we had hoped for a bit more in terms of flavors. Still, it was a pleasant experience and we appreciated the warm hospitality.
Very nice location to take a break from exploring Colmar. We sat outdoors as it's a beautiful weather and to enjoy the surroundings. The service is very good, and happy with the dishes; its made the way they should taste. The sorbet was exceptional though.

Fleischnakas should be quite spicy to compensate for the fact that the meat is rolled in pasta. The dish we got tasted of nothing - and there was quite a bit more pasta than meat. It tasted exactly as exciting as it (doesn't) look. And the price for a glass of wine is simply too high.
The service was friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant and warm, and we rly liked the food. The chestnut pumpkin soup and main courses were delicious🍲🍷❄️

A Wonderful French Dining Experience!
We had an absolutely delightful experience at this French restaurant! Making a reservation online was incredibly easy and convenient — a great start to what turned out to be an exceptional evening.
The food was truly outstanding — beautifully presented, full of flavor, and perfectly portioned from starters to desserts. Every dish tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. What really elevated the experience, though, was the service. Our waitress spoke excellent English and took the time to walk us through the entire menu, including the specials, with genuine enthusiasm and knowledge.
We never felt rushed, and each course arrived at just the right pace, allowing us to really enjoy the meal and conversation. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed yet refined dining experience.
Highly recommend this restaurant — from the seamless online reservation to the exceptional cuisine and top-notch service, everything was perfect!

A wonderful dinner!!! The food was amazing. The service was lovely. Highly reccomend. The only thing missing was that not being able to sit on the terrace - I’m not sure I understand why reservations are only for the inside. We asked but we could not sit on the terrace.
I came here based on the Michelin guide. There was nothing wrong or bad with this place so my review reflects my partner and my cuisine preferences.
The Alsace wine was great. Which you’d expect given the proximity to vineyards. So top marks for that.
The main meals however were not enjoyable for us. There was a clear focus on France-Germany border specialities. Which is great from a cultural perspective if you want to try the food. But let’s face it, the German and France-German areas are not world renowned for their food. So, you should expect a very different flavour compared to other French food. The focus is pork. Cured and cooked. And cabbage. Lots of it.
I’m sure some people with love that. But not us I’m afraid. The staff were great. We had a waitress with lots of tattoos and beautifully decorated nails. She had a very serious face but was actually a very nice girl.
The desert was good. And when you finish it there is a nice surprise in the crockery.
This was an experience but not one I want to repeat I’m afraid.

Not as good as we’d hoped for a Michelin star restaurant. The Appetizers were excellent. The main course was not what we’d expected and the dessert was the furthest thing from tirimisu I’ve ever had.
The escargots and onion pie was very nice! The Steak was good, the meat was very soft but I wish there was abit more sauce for it. Location is cozy aswell

Jadis et Gourmande is a charming tea room located in the heart of the restaurant area known as Little Venice. Came for lunch with a group of 7 and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was good but not great, but we were looking for Alsatian food and a cozy winter vibe (we were there for the Christmas market) and this place was perfect. The service was also top notch. Our server was warm and friendly. Best thing we ordered was the osso buco (was on the "specials" chalkboard)!

First time to Colmar, arrived late in the afternoon thinking to get lunch before restaurants closed by 2.30pm, was recommended by the apartment owner about this place specializing in Alsatian cuisine, saw it and rushed in, was unlucky to enter through a wrong door which was used by the staff for delivering food (no English sign was there) and the lady owner Sophie asked us to go out to enter from the correct door (despite we were already standing at the waiting area).
Ok, I followed her instruction yet she made me to stay out and waited by the sign, 2 mins later she asked me to go find a seat at the other side of the street (not escorted by any of her staff), so we needed to assured the staff there that it was Sophie asked us to go over then only we got seated 🤷♀️
Luckily the male server was friendly and explained to us in English about the menu of the day and took time to explain on the menu too, we got our order and enjoyed our food & wine.
But it’s a real bad reception experience by Sophie.
When I was there at 9pm, there was a light show on the wall of this restaurant. Most shops would have been closed by 8pm, but there were quite a number of tourists walking around in this area and at La Petite Venise.

Unfortunately , our experience was quite disappointing. We stopped to ask if the place was open and if a table was available. The waitress responded with repeated 'Bonjour, bonjour, bonjour,' continuing to speak French without trying to understand us. Her tone was rude, and she looked at us in an annoyed way before leaving us standing at the entrance without any further assistance. We didn’t feel welcome at all.
They don't have alternatives to milk for the coffee. Neither they have the cake that I wanted. We don't event get napkins or a knife to cut the cake. Hope you can improve these details for future clients. The Coffee and the cake was nice!
Went at 9:15am. All I can say is they don’t serve butter. Let me say that again. In France. A cafe that serves breakfast for 10 euros. They don’t serve butter. Not for the bread. The anything. No butter. In France. Skip this place at all cost
We saw it on the map and came for some cultural dessert but we found out they dont offer it at lunchtime. We werent hungry but we ordered a plate of food to try something cultural while we were already seated but they sent us away, saying they didnt provide one plate for two people. C’est bizzard.

We came at 19:15, it is 20:02 now and we are still waiting for our food. There are only 5 tables occupied, the restaurant is open for only one hour in the evening and they can't manage any service. And finally they brough a very low level food which was overdone.
Very nice, well-presented food (focused menu) with excellent service and a great ambiance.
There’s only one seating, maybe 7-8 tables, so no rush. Our server gave my mother excellent advice on what to drink with each course.

Very strange experience. We came to this restaurant and were told all the tables were taken, even though two tables were clearly available. The person who spoke to us was very unpleasant. We were not seated, and the whole situation felt unwelcoming. I would never come back here again.

A Wonderful Experience!
We stumbled upon this place by chance, and it turned out to be a truly pleasant surprise. Although we recommend making a reservation, we were seated right away. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, with huge portions that really satisfied us! They offered us unlimited bread and water without even asking. The atmosphere was magical – traditional, warm, and exactly what you need to feel the charm of Alsace.
We are visiting from Greece, and this was one of the highlights of our trip!

We walked by while we were touring the Colmar, but decided to come back for a late lunch/early dinner to try some alsatian food. We were seated right away. There is an extra room upstairs. Very nice place full of an old artifacts, making unique atmosphere. The food was delicious and generous portion. You do not need a starter, in our opinion. This place should be on your list while you are in Colmar. Fully recommended.
A unique place all around: the food typical but without comparison, the service friendly, helpful and fast, the atmosphere and decor very special and the location a bit secluded and quiet….. definitely a recommendation for the discerning traveler!

By far the best resto in our 17 days trip in Europe! We start to have escargots , alsatian meat dumplings, meat brochette , jambonneau braise. Not only was the food good, but also the wine was fine.

I ate asortment of alsatian sausages with sauerkraut and potato. It was as good as it can be. Sauerkraut was fine and sausages were also tasty.

Tried traditional Alsatian dishe Choucroute des Tanneurs and it was tasty. Love sour cabbage which is good combination with Strasbourg sausage and herb sausage. Mushroom sauce for Sirloin steak was salty. Service was good and attentive.
Like most of those who went there, we went there because of the queue outside. And the ‘petit futé’ award shown on the front door. So after 20min waiting outside (inside no space to wait ) we got our table. Yes the staff is kind. But don’t expect an amazing food experience. I am French and had better Choucroute even in the middle of France away from Alsace. The food was good but honestly for the price I would expect something else. For tourists with first time in the region or in France, this will be seen as great. That makes it more a tourist attraction than food experience.
We appreciated the atmosphere, the kindness of the staff. They have a nice choice of wines. Riesling we chose was very good for 27€.

Georges is a great place to enjoy some tasty Alsatian specialties on a terrace beside the Lauch river. The waiters are fast and friendly, and the food is delicious. The steak tartar pictured is especially good - make sure to check it out!
Sadly, the weather was too cold, because I would have loved to have sat on their terrace. The atmosphere inside I found slightly lacking, but the food was good, especially the meats that came with the choucroute. The menu offers good choices.

Amazing location if you get outdoor seating on the little river. I tried the breaded chicken sandwich and substituted vegetables for potatoes. Tried to make it slightly healthy. The bun was bright read and breading on chicken pretty tasty. Very friendly service and central location.

I have one star for the unprofessional service. We wanted to order the desserts but after the waitress brought the menu, she never come back to take the order. We have been waiting for 30 mins then we decided to have no coffee and no desserts after the dinner.

We arrived without a reservation and they gave us a table after about 5 minutes. We ordered a fois gras starter that was delicious! The main dishes were also very tasty and above all well served!! They didn't have many dessert options, and I ordered something similar to an apple pie that was delicious. I recommend going!! The only thing I didn't like was that the waiters took a long time to serve you and the proximity between all the tables.
Situated next to the picturesque landmark of Le Petite Venise, this restaurant offers a pleasant seating area by the canal. On a rainy Sunday afternoon this place seemed like a good spot for an afternoon lunch. Seated upstairs with a view of the square ( too cool and wet to use the waterside patio) felt right. Things went downhill from there. Going over the menu there were 5 entrees that looked interesting and between 4 of us we could then share 2 mains. Not so fast, the young waiter explained, there would be a €7 surcharge per person on the entrees. “ this is a restaurant not a bistro” he explained wearing his black tee shirt with the restaurant name printed across the back. In fairness there was a red notice on the menu about the surcharge atop the entree section, translated to English it made no sense. So scratch the entrees, mains all around. Chicken and veal in puff pastry was fine, braised beef was tender enough although the various shredded vegetables were very bistro-like. Beef carpaccio was 10 see-through slightly salty slices. Then came the veal cordon blu, more like cordon noir. A rolled up charred lump. It was not revenge of the kitchen 2 identical lumps arrived at an adjoining table . Over done as it was the crust was acrid ( not the tasty golden brown normally found ) and left a bitter after taste. The spetzel that came with it was room temperature, dry and chewy…maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be served. At least the bread was fresh and tasty, but requested butter came with a supplementary charge. You will only leave this place feeling disappointed.
Try somewhere else, there are plenty to choose from in COLMAR.
The place is super overpriced for what it is. They think they are way better than they actually are. The service team is dressed as the cooking team and act non professional. The wine is not allowed to be tasted before drinking, which should be considered a safe thing at this price point. Furthermore was the food good but also not really flavourful and not good enough to justify the price.
For an establishment at this price range I expect a perfect service that reflects the high level.
Overall I was pretty disappointed.

We had reserved a table online and were warmly welcomed upon arrival. The restaurant is stylishly modern and impeccably clean. We really appreciated the upscale yet relaxed atmosphere – refined without being overly formal. We each enjoyed a three-course à la carte dinner, and every single dish was a delight. We went to this place based on the Michelin guide recommendation. The place was excellent. The food was creative, flavourful, and there was never ending bread which is quite rare nowadays.
We had the set menu. Without wine. It was very much worth the price. The bass was outstanding as was the dessert.
The only problem is that they were incredibly busy and therefore there was a long wait between dishes. Very long waits. And that brought down the rating. But if you have time to kill and talk. Then definitely worth coming here!

Had the 4 course dinner menu without the wine pairing and thoroughly enjoyed it. Each course — from the foie gras to the sea bream, veal, and finishing with pistachio pastry — was beautifully balanced in taste, aroma, and texture. The flavors complemented each other well and showed a lot of thought in the preparation. Service was attentive and professional; staff spoke English and explained each dish clearly, which added to the overall experience.

We took the lunch 3 courses menu. Very nicely presented and very tasty! Wine pairing was also excellent. Very good service despite a bit of pressure to order wine.
We came for lunch based on ChatGPT recommendation that defined this restaurant as “modern and different”. We got a table without reservation, we were really happy. Water brought Menu and separate offering, without explanation, just put on the tanle. As we are not french speakers we did not understand well what the separate offer is so we ordered something from the standard Menu. Two fish dishes. Mine was undercooked and bitter, I got nausea immediatelly. Waiter asked me how is the meal, I said “I don’t know” (as I did not know what to say, I was really badly surprised with the bad taste), his reply was “ok, thank you”. I left half of the food on my dish. In the moment of payment he asks again how was the food, I said it was really not good, bitter and indercooked. His reply was “I am sorry”. This is not adequate behavior, I conclude they do not care because they have a lot of turists so no need to satisfy everyone. We paid 90 euros 2 main dishes and 2 glasses of prosecco which was not worth it at all.

Really attentive and fast service, despite being busy, and we enjoyed the generously sized tuna salad and pizza, which they helpfully agreed to only half cover with anchovies! Good value too!
La Pinata is definetly the best Italian Restaurant in Colmar. In fact this is our best meal in our whole 2 week vacation in France. Great Foof, Great Staff, Great Ambiance. That place is Highly recommanded.

This is an Alsace eatery along Quai de la Poissonnerie in the heart of the Old Town of Colmar. We visited during the Christmas Market recently found them only open to serve take-away tartes flambee, pretzels, mulled wine and a few other drinks.
On the day, we tried their Munster (€7.50) which was small but decent size for one person. It was ready in less than 5 minutes. You can enjoy them at some standing tables available right next to the canal. Fit for purpose, good enough lite bites during the Christmas Market.

The restaurant was very busy during the Colmar Christmas Market period and we had to queue up to get a table for lunch. We were seated in the cellar and the decor is old fashioned, quaint and very Alsatian. The server was pleasant and friendly and the food was traditional and good. We ordered the onion soup, tartar flammbe, the baeckeoffe (the meat stew) and had their piie & Black Forest cake for dessert. Overall we were very satisfied. The one observation was that some of the portion sizes were small e.g. the onion soup and the apple pie but not a real issue.
We were here at the end of June, a beautiful warm evening. We sat outside. The atmosphere was very romantic.
We had gordon bleu and tartare - I emphasize the real French - cut larger pieces of meat - great. To go with it, a classic salad with chicory, onion and dressing - I love these little things that captivate me with their simplicity. Of course, a bottle of wine. Would not allow for a simple takeaway pizza for our kids despite arriving 15 minutes before closing. They said, "we're closed" despite having at least 30 people still sitting in the restaurant. Terrible customer service.

Food and service, both were ok. None was extraordinary or memorable. We were seated next to the open kitchen due to which it was really loud and very difficult to have a focused conversation or enjoy our time there.
We had lunch with veg options pizza and one chef’s special. The food was ok not bad, ambience was good.

Delicious cakes, very delicious eclairs, good coffee and croissant. They did made our morning special in Colmar. A rustic ambience with plenty of place to sit. The staff at work is very friendly and helpful. They do deal with you with patience. You have your own time to choose for your order; unlike other places where they rush you. I usually expect fast and efficient service at a fast food restaurant, but my recent visit to Burger King felt more like waiting at a sit-down restaurant, without any of the benefits. Our order took far too long, and when it was finally ready, the tray was just sitting on the counter with no one bringing it to our table.
My husband went to ask if it was ready, and the staff confirmed it was. When he asked why they didn’t bring it to the table, the employee simply replied, “It’s not my job.”
So apparently, at this Burger King, you not only wait like you’re at a restaurant, but you also have to do self-service because the staff can’t be bothered. Very disappointing experience for what’s supposed to be “fast” food.
And unfortunately, as we noticed around us, there were many dissatisfied customers, as the menu had almost NOTHING available. On top of that, the behavior of this employee was ironic and disrespectful towards another table as well.

On holiday in the area and called in for evening food. It was quiet and clean and tidy. Ordered food no problem. We sat down and I noticed there was one guy running about bending backwards to take orders out and help people. He helped us and I'm happy that he did. He works very hard and you as a workplace should be aware of this guy and commend him. He wears a black hat slightly to one side. He's a credit to your company. We came in around 7 to 8pm on Monday 7th August.

I used to live in Italy and love authentic Italian pizza...except for the lack of creativity and variety with the toppings. Pizza Cosy's pizza is a wonderful fusion of time honored Italian pizza cooking techniques and fresh ingredients with a creative modern spin on toppings. Who would ever think to add pumpkin or crema fresa to pizza? Or curry chicken? It tastes wonderful and is so much fun to try the unique flavors. And because the crust is thin there aren't as many calories...so you don't have to feel guilty.
I also have to comment about the kindness of the workers. Nowhere in our time in France have we experienced such friendliness in any restaurant. I've lived in heavily touristy areas and know tourists can be annoying, and I always feel guilty when I travel that I don't speak the local language beyond basic greetings. But we wouldn't be here if we didn't have a respect and admiration for the place and the culture, and it really goes a long way to find genuinely kind people happy to help and eager to make you happy when you walk in the door.

Great for a quick lunch in central Colmar. The restaurant is a bit small inside, it's only a few tables but they have a terrace outside too. You can order via a touchscreen and they bring your order at your table. It was very convenient! The service was friendly and rather quick. Food was good though the rice was a bit hard. But the ingredients were fresh and good.
I orderd a large poke bowl at the terminal and waited 20 minutes before i went inside to ask where my food was. The server said that he didn't receive an order and i could only convince him i orderd a poke bowl by showing him my bank account, and even then he was not fully convinced. I also didn't recieve any apologies. Afterwards when i received my bowl, i didn't receive my drink or utensils, i was told to get them myself(i was eating outside so it was just annoying). The food was mid, i really enjoy eating poke bowl but this bowl lacked taste. There were blankets outside wich was a nice touch.

I was really angry because they were very annoy about us BUT we didn’t do nothing because our priority was eat but we didn’t know that before pay u must order than choose the vegetables and sauces. Nobody said to us.
