Oh my goodness, where do I even start? Lusso is hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. The food was absolutely insane. I had the lasagne, my friends had pizza, and every single bite was pure heaven. The portions? Huge—you will not leave hungry! The lasagne was rich, cheesy, and the layers were perfect, with just the right balance of sauce, pasta, and melt-in-your-mouth goodness. And the pizza? Crispy, cheesy, and just unreal. (Even the Gluten Free Pizzas are incredible). Highly recommend The strawberry sorbet too - a great way to finish the meal. To top it all off, the owner is an absolute legend. You can tell he truly cares about the food and his guests, making the experience even more special. If you love Italian food, you need to go to Lusso. You won’t regret it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Would eat here every day if I could!

Friendly staff, nice patio. Spicy salami & nduja pizza £16.95. Expectations were high based on reccys and reputation. Toppings were top notch, extra heat with added chilli oil. Yellow tomato sauce was lighter and suited the excellent pork products and cheese. Dough was a tad disappointing; a bit dense for my tastes and not much depth flavour-wise. However very enjoyable overall. Rocket salad, while admittedly only £3.50, was just a bowl of oil-drizzled rocket. Asked for shaved Parm and Balsamic; received no problem and with a smile. Overall a good experience but I feel a little pricey even with the good sized pie.

Love this place! A proper hidden gem. Excellent, unfussy Italian food with great service at a reasonable price. The wood-fired pizzas are the main attraction but don’t overlook the starters and pasta dishes. There’s also a very dangerous gelato counter 👀 Recommended!

Absolutely wonderful restaurant. Was visiting my niece and she recommended Lusso Superb food - cheesy garlic bread absolutely the best E V E R! And the pizza was superb.

Always get great service here and the food never disappoints. 👌🏻 Lots of lovely choices. 😋 The gelato......wow the gelato here is awesome. Some amazing flavours and I especially like the Jaffa cake and lime and coconut options. 🍦 Parking 🚘🚙🚗🛵🚲 close by although you do have to pay for it. 💷 💰

Can't real fault this place - lovely location in a courtyard off the high street, great staff and very good food. I also had takeaway ice cream in a cone which was delicious. Only grumble would be a better choice of red wine as only two - not a fan of Malbec I went for the the other which did warn it was quite tannin. Maybe look at having a Primovito.

This was the third time that we, a party of 16, have chosen to have our extended family get together here. Once again the food was exceptional and delicious. We had various pizzas, pasta and salads. All were so very tasty. Without doubt this is the best place for pizza and home-made ice cream in Newbury. The service was great, our every need and request catered for without question. They are certainly a great team here. As we are such a large party, We have to be seated together in the room opposite the original restaurant. There is not so much atmosphere in here, but as a large party, it didn’t really matter to us.

Burger shack down an alleyway off Bartholomew Rd. Owner was friendly and helpful. Lots of takeaway biz going on, but there were three small tables for dine-ins. Three choices of patty size & quality, 4oz, 8oz (x2) and a 6oz Angus to keep prices down. Large range of variations for this who are into that, but I don’t tend to like bacon & cheese. They custom-built my double 4oz patty with lettuce, gherkins, onion, tomato and burger sauce. These guys know how to cook an average patty so it’s juicy and to properly build a burger. Toasted OK bun and a VERY acceptable sandwich overall. Good portion of crispy enough fries. Gonna go back and have a double Angus next! Inexpensive.

Today I ordered the chicken beast very yummy I also ordered chips also very nice the beast is a very nice burger that comes with bacon chicken or beef and a Cumberland sausage ring and is the best burger I've ever had staff in restaurant also very nice and you have to love the smiley face on the box. solid 10/10.

Suggested to go while working in the area, a little bit of an unusual place to find. As I am not local. A few burgers to choose from. Had one with sausage. Personally I didn't rate it. Maybe I didn't pick the best one. £18 and wasn't all that in my opinion, burger and sausage had to much charing on it for me, leaving a bit of burnt taste,.made the burger a bit dry.. I wouldn't rush back myself.

It was nice a burger but not quite like the old rio's i remember the burger had more of a bite than the old Way the used to be. I had a bluestone but you could barely taste the cheese sauce.

No gluten free options so avoid , gone down hill again. Independents like this need to support their customers. Shame new owners have zero interest in customer needs. How hard can it be to keep some frozen gluten free rolls in a freezer. No allergens displayed on menus either.

Gone downhill under new management, burger was dried out not as much range and bring back the Angus burgers. The 8oz is just two dry 4oz patties now. No wonder we were the only ones there, used to have to queue out the door to order

I went here again and I got humty and it was delicious to die for there is some pics and the staff is 10/10 they were joking and being so helpful to me and my family and I got the loaded fries Smokey ones and they were 10/10 if you are like are family who hated the old owners trust the reviews and give them a shot you won’t regret

What ever happened to the McDonald's standards? This occasion I visited was extremely busy and when it's this busy, I don't recommend visiting. Perhaps it's better when it's not so busy? The food was just OK, as the fries were very fresh and yes the Steakhouse burger looked good, however it was filled with two slices of Cardboard. The food took foever to be made and handed to the overly patient customers, which was made worse by the fact people were struggling to order on the dodgy touch screens, and the old guy on the tills who took forever ... The worst thing for me though in any McDonalds is when you go craving there best menu item, a milkshake ... and the machine is never working! They all seemed very overwhelmed, and was even convinced I saw the lady who was cleaning the toilets and the manager making food?

McDonald’s new Places of Newbury is a great place and I bought Big Arch Burgers 🍔 with Medium Fries 🍟 and Coco Coke

This is probably the best mcds I have been to, I go a lot as it is on my long commute from Oxford to Southampton and the chips are always full and hot. The drink always has ice in it and the bag always has napkins, everyone is always very nice. And thanks to Tom who serves on window a lot,

Had to wait 40+ minutes for my food, the staff were like headless chickens. Not a single thought behind any of their eyes and very unfriendly. After the wait they brought the wrong food out and many things were missing. Everybody else was having the same issues with the kiosks not showing their order number, so they had to try and talk to the staff nowhere to be seen. It wasn’t even that busy, 10 people the most. Got absolutely no compensation and not even a sorry. Guess I won’t be coming back here again.

20 plus mins in the drive through and messed around with order. Lied to at drive through about our order and what we were getting, only to be told it hadn't been done at the collection window. Literally lied to just so her job was easier, gotta love that.

the children and so dry they were unfit for consumption by anyone. Same applied to the chicken Big Mac - zero moisture ‘chicken’, like chewing a paper straw. No ketchup or BBQ sauce for the order, so limp fries with a bit of salt was about as good as it got. Use this as a reminder of how disappointing it was last time you visited and go somewhere else.

Staff totally indifferent said food ready then 5 mins later food brought to me as I still stood there i was ignored by staff who stood about till next order was brought forward and when i asked for my drink I was told I'd had it the person next to me said no I hadn't before I viukd reply so they went and looked and just slammed it down on the counter and walked off. You can’t expect a child to eat that! No help at all. They put the phone down on me and when I called back after they finally answered apparently it’s uber eats fault they can’t clean and Prepare there food products! Unacceptable! wouldn’t go here again!

Oh boy, portion size of this chicken donor was big. Veggies were fresh but found chicken a bit tight and not juicy. It was an okay donor but could have been much better with right level of juices in chicken.

Honestly the worst haddock & chips I've had, the chips were soggy & the haddock was dry. Also the fishcake I ordered tasted off. Chucked it in the bin. Such a shame as when It was The Lemon Plaice it was good.

Cash is king it says on the counter. I now know why. Check your change when you order. Tried to diddle me out of a pound. And then when he eventually refunded me he deliberately gave me the £1 in 5 and 10p's! Chips were greasy and forgettable.

I was so looking forward to my chips after a long day and I haven't had any for ages. Once the member of staff realised I was there he served me and was sweet, double wrapped for me as I had a walk home. Got home opened wrap and it was just all ends of potatoes, I had to hunt for the soft middle pieces. So disappointed, won't be going there again. Think they've changed hands. Felt conned, some people might like crunchy ends but I don't.

Overall great experience and a hidden gem near riverside and bridge of Newbury. The owners are welcoming with their service and the food is well made to order. Recommend trying the Laksa Noodle Soup; it was packed with flavour and ingredients (prawns, chicken, salmon, fish balls, veggies) - good value for the quality. Also the Hot Yuja tea (Korean Citron) was tasty. It is a friendly family run independent business which is worth a try and support. If I’m around Newbury again I would go back for sure and recommend to others.

Another wonderful visit to TIY Tea Bar! Our first date was here and we have just been for a late lunch for our first year anniversary! Not only was the food divine but the lovely couple who run it are just so incredibly awesome and we cannot recommend them enough, their cakes are always so tasty as is their food! I had vegetable dumplings and udon noodles while my husband had beef brisket. Superb! We cannot wait to go back again!

This is a noodles restaurant owned by a pair of Hong Kong couple. The noodles are one of the best in Reading. My recommendations are the laksa and beef brisket noodles. Highly recommended for the noodles lovers.

Avoid this is the worst place ever. The prices are a bit steep but ok i will have a go the girl at the counter ignore me and played on her phone i said are you going to serve me? She did i got Chinese food noodles were very bland sweet and souer chicken balls are over cooked and nasty i had a spam filter that I throw in the bin it was just full of grease just the worst. I was watching i lady cut cod in to portions banging it flat with her hand then putting a second thin piece on top and bang that flat so just watch out if your eating cod/white fish there tonight you are getting two of the cheapest pieces of cod/white fish hammered flat in greasy batter good luck keep 111 on speed dail

Have eaten here a few times since I live closeby and every time it's been a massive disappointment. Chips are always undercooked and soggy, Chinese ordering is wet, grey and flavourless. Adding cheese to chips costs £1.50 for probably about 20 grams. I would highly recommend that you avoid this location wherever possible.

First & last time eating here. I went in for a small chips, to be told you have to spend £5 if paying by card. So I ditched the chips idea & decided on a chicken chow mein instead, to then get told it’s a minimum of £10 by card for Chinese… so I added some prawn toast to make it up. I wish I had walked out at the £5 minimum for chips on a card. I ended up paying £14 for chicken chow mein & prawn toast. I would’ve been able to swallow the cost had it not been so difficult to swallow the food! Absolutely disgusting, thick slimy noodles that tasted of I don’t know what, the chicken was slimy & had a weird texture. Nothing else like a bit of chopped spring onion or onion. The prawn toast, the grease squirts into your mouth as you bite into it. All in all very unpleasant & expensive.

Can't believe this place is still in business. Our last order consisted entirely of the tasteless grey goo reported by others. With so many new homes being built on this side of Newbury and zero decent Chinese or Indian takeaways within walking distance there's a big opportunity for someone going begging.

Chippy side no too bad, but twice I have tried their Chinese food, been very disappointed both times. Noodles undercooked, meat so overcooked it's inedible, and I think they forgot to add any flavour!! Not recommended at all.

The spring rolls were huge and greasy and tasted like they had been stored for a year before being warmed up in the microwave. Poor hygiene the place felt like it needs a lift

Honestly the best fish and chips. Always fresh, I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have eaten there a lot and never had a single issue with the food. I would highly recommend.

Honestly take my advice don’t bother unless you want food poisoning, came in tonight they sold be rotten haddock, it smelt so bad I was almost sick. I did call and complain they said oh come back we’ll make you another. Who has time after working all day to Go back and wait for another ? And also why should I ? Its there job to check there food quality and freshness, had I of eaten that I could have been very unwell and off work for days unable to provide for my family. Just another lousy British business, don’t waste your money !! A bag of crisps would have been a better alternative.

Didn't get our complete, called to get a refund, but was refused as the "boss wasn't in"?? Had to return to takeaway to collect them, leaving a dinner getting cold behind. Was offered a "drink from the fridge as compensation"!! No offer to replace my cold dinner. Sorry won't be returning here.

Came & ordered chips and curry sauce & took ages to get it,people who were coming in ordering after me were getting their orders before, the young ladies and lad were too busy chatting with each other and then when they did go to do order dropped the curry sauce, not great service at all considering it was only chips and curry sauce.

From the beginning the staff are really nice , the place is organised, and the food is very tasty. We brought 2 portion of fish and chips, the portions are big, we couldn't eat all. So everything is just perfect.

If you've ever had a pizza, never go to capprinos. How can you make such an awful food it's beyond me. Fried bottom, crispy crust, greasy and soggy top. 14 pepperoni prices on a 10 slice 15" pizza. Measured 14" but we all say it's bigger than it is! A second value pizza for 89 pence tastes better than this stuff I have been supplied. Also had to pay 50 pence surcharge for collecting my pizza. Do yourself a favour and just go anywhere else. I would even say go to the worst looking pizza shop any town you live in. It will be better than the ingredients I was given. The cheapest and most badly made pizza I have ever tried to eat.

If you order a pizza , be aware the size of pizza is for the box. Ordered 9” and had a 9” box but 7” pizza. Won’t be going back and was stone cold.

Ordered a vegan pizza here, but my friend had a reaction to dairy soon after eating it- the cheese topping was definitely dairy. Please be very careful if you have allergies, even if you double check like we did. Wait time was okay though.

Ordered a takeaway with clear instructions. Driver could not find my address & we had to drive out and find him. Defeats the object of takeaway! Drivers English was poor so continuing directions over the phone were useless. Pizza was tasty but lukewarm by the time we got to eat it.

I have ordered from Caprinos a few times. Mainly chips and wraps. But last time was the first time I ordered a pizza and it was disappointing to be honest. Very soggy crust and too much sauce on it, it actually leaked its way through the box. Delivery service is very quick. Never delayed.

They have kept an offer on Tuesday buy one get one free when I went to the store to take a pizza. The actual price is £7.99 and they charge me £11.99 so how’s buy one get one free

I was thoroughly excited and positively buzzing to eat my fried chicken. The chicken was slightly undercooked but all around was quite moist and soggy. After i have devoured my wet oily Kentucky fried chicken i had a short stroll into the lavatory. It is in a convenient location however as i entered an awful stench hit my nostrils with such force I almost fainted. I saw the most horrible sight ever and it was disturbing to say the least. There was poo-poo everywhere, it must have been a biproduct of the fried chicken that some poor soul had excreted out of the bottom. I would give a higher rating, but the toilet made me feel most unwell.

KFC seems to have changed so much recently, the chicken used to be crispy and flavourful, and the chips were lovely. However the skin on chips are OK, but a bit dry, and the chicken itself although moist and tender seems to be missing the flavour, and definitely the crispiness. The skin althougb seasoned is not like proper fried chicken. So quite disappointing and the food doesn't come in a box like it used to, but two paper bags. It was a takeaway, but no straws or napkins were in the bag. Not sure I will try KFC again , I feel there are now better options in town with crispy flavourful chicken.

Ordered through just eat. Arrived within the time stated so no problem there. Then it went downhill from there. Ordered a10 piece bucket received a 6 piece, ordered popcorn chicken was not sent. Then to top it off 3 pieces of the chicken wasn’t even cooked all the way through. If I could give it no stars I would.

Where is the new spice on these fries? They came out soggy and with barely any of the signature spice. The staff also gave us regular fries instead of large! So disappointing. They were busy but we had these recently in a London store and they were so crispy and seasoned. I couldn't tell they were here! What a shame. Won't return to this one as clearly they don't know what they are doing! Staff don't seem friendly either. There was also just 2 pieces of lettuce and a bucket load of mayo on the burger! Let down.

8pm Thursday evening and popped in for a quick meal on the way home. Half the self order machines weren’t working so ordered at the counter. There was a big queue for orders and it took a while despite a massive pile of chicken just metres away and frankly they were struggling and under staffed. The chicken was great. Eating in however wasn’t as the bins were overflowing and there were trays stacked up and all over the place with food remains on them. I’m no food hygiene expert but chicken remains laying about all over the place probably isn’t going to end well!!!

Haritha provided me with an excellent service when I popped into the KFC at Newbury Bus Station. I will definitely come back because of the service provided by Haritha.

Dear McDonald’s Customer Service / Manager I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding a very unpleasant experience I had at your Newbury town outlet on 28 April, 2025. I had ordered a Veg Burger, and to my shock, the burger had a foul smell, indicating it was not fresh. Even more disturbing, I found a strand of hair inside the burger, which is completely unacceptable and unhygienic. When I brought this to the attention of the staff and requested a replacement, the manager not only refused to resolve the issue politely but also shouted at me in front of other customers. This kind of behaviour from a manager is extremely unprofessional and made me feel disrespected and humiliated. As a regular customer of McDonald’s, I expected better quality food and respectful service. I request you to look into this matter seriously and take appropriate action to ensure such incidents do not happen again. Looking forward to your response and a resolution. The food was disgusting—cold, dry, and basically inedible. They forgot my sauces, and the order arrived spilled everywhere, dripping through my house. I couldn’t even eat it because it was still half-frozen and tasted horrible. Do better. Honestly, get rid of this McDonald’s—it’s pointless and dirty. If you want McDonald’s, go to the retail park instead; it’s much better.

Well I know times are hard but if this is your idea of a medium, I should have ordered the small! This is why even drunk ppl are ignoring your chain for a cheaper, better quality and I say this twice, a better quality order and more food from the local kebab vans! Plain and simply do better!

Ordered a burger and when I opened it up the cheese wasnt even in half of the burger just cold cheese hanging out the side. I think the managers need to be re trained on standards the re train their team. Every other mcdonalds in newbury is great and competent but sadly not the one in town. Don't waste your time and money

The food was okay, the staff were friendly and helpful (the printer at the service terminal often malfunctioned), but the layout of the room was really bad: the delivery people with their huge thermal backpacks took up almost the entire space at the pick-up counter... without any consideration for others. It would be great if they could separate the two areas.

We had to try McDonald's while in London and unfortunately it left a lot to be desired. The burgers were so dry, I didn't think that was possible (to be dryer than US McDonald's). The fries and nuggets were fine. Wasn't a fan of their version of BBQ sauce either, but glad we tried. I will stick to pubs and fish n chips while in London. Thanks

As usual it is a great place for quick hunger. We visited on Thursday evening, not much of a rush. Kudos to the lovely lady manager who treated us and kids beyond expectations.

Terrible experience. Ordered online. Money was taken, but received now order code. Made my way to the restaurant, had a polite conversation with the staff, the assured me the money was only in pending and would be refunded (after I showed them the transaction). Made the entire order again over the counter (where I'll receive no loyalty benefits). Got back to my hotel, the ice cream was missing. Everything else was "ok". But felt I'd been lied to because the transaction shows it was clearly made at their store, I believe they lied instead of making the correct decisions in making sure the customer satisfaction was met. Will take up the matter with my bank (as it was a £35 order). But I'll be putting emphasis on contacting head office also.

Received call to say no stock of peppercorn sauce fries & I could have cheese & bacon loaded fries which I accepted. Received a second call from the same person saying I had to cancel the order due to dietary requirements they weren’t allowed to send a substitute & I would have to re-order, the colleague was extremely rude, not customer focused & when I said there was no dietary requirements & if it was an issue send ordinary fries but no couldn’t do that, everything I suggested was ‘no I can’t do that’ he then decided to hang up & cut the call off! Extremely rude man, we place the same order if not every week, everything other week amounting to £36 each time, well done to your rude colleague as I will never order again! Expecting me to cancel when I’ve already paid & then expecting me to re-order when I have already paid! What if I didn’t have the money in the bank to pay again, absolutely disgusting service with lack of customer service!

One of the best food to go in Newbury. The team members are fab, especially Manila is an asset to the team. She looks after every customers with a welcoming smile and professional approach.

It was a really great first experience at the Newbury Burger King. The staff seemed quite dedicated to their work and especially Roshani who was polite and pleasant while serving me at the drive thru. My order was also ready timely, will definitely visit another time

Haven't been to a burger king for years for many reasons but was pleasantly surprised. Had the BBQ chicken fries and they were cooked fresh (which is a massive bonus) and actually really tasty.

Got it chicken dishes delivered 2 days in a row. First day everything was fine so decided to order again but today, all the chicken was so hard that I couldn’t eat it, went to bin. It was so hard and cold that extra cheese at the bottom of chicken didn’t even melt.

best kebab shop in Newbury , food is delicious made with care up to the highest standard. Full of taste the food is unbeatable Customer service is top notch, Hagi and the other workers are great , fast and very kind people who are the best at their job! Atmosphere is brilliant , very kind workers and fast service , the eat in is very comfortable clean and chill I highly recommend this kebab shop as i said it is the best in Newbury and will never disappoint :)

The food is very tasty, no complaints about it! However, my last order was delivered incomplete. After ringing 6 times with no answer, I went to speak to them. I only mentioned that I have missing bits from my order, and whilst talking to a staff member about not answering the phone, someone came and placed on the till what I was after. If it was a genuine mistake, how did he know what was missing? I haven't been specific, only said "I have missing bits". Also, ordered 3 salads with tomato and cucumber only, and we got 3 mixed salads! You also owe me£3: I paid delivery, but ended up collecting! You just lost a customer!

I rarely give reviews. I have been to Newbury a few times and have been tempted to start my own kebab shop here as there didn’t seem to be one. But then I found this place. Dubious at first because it’s a pizza and kebab shop. The chicken shush was perfectly cooked with good flavour. A lovely helping of a delicious chilli sauce. I asked for extra salad and they were more than happy to oblige. I liked that the pitta was served separately. I would have enjoyed some picked peppers but not a problem.

Haven’t had a kebab within the area before and decided to go to Botan. The owner was brilliant and probably the best customer service I’ve received in a restaurant. The kebab was delicious. All cooked fresh. We will be returning!

Terrible order this evening, MC flurry was given to us as milk, had clearly been sitting waiting for too long, nuggets were missing from the order and the burger arrived looking like this photo. Staff nice but absolutely over run, hire more staff.

Waited long enough for my food to be cold by the time it was served. Asked for fresh chips, received the same chip (judging by temperature). Manager clearly thought I wouldn't notice, but here we are. 1 star. We all know I'll be going back at some point though

Slow slow service, 12 minute wait for a milkshake and coke with 1 persons order in front....rest were drive thrus, that seems to be thier priority. Get out, and the milkshake wasn't chocolate as ordered was a weak no flavour milkshake just off white

Food is great. Just there is a guy here who always looks in the bathrooms and if u get a TINY bit of water on the floor he legit says "FINE U CAN GET OUT THE STORE THEN" and started following me around. Never coming back again.

Absolute joke of a 'fast' food restaurant. Slow, ignorant and rude. Prioritise drive thru and home deliveries, complain they're busy whilst standing round chatting and lack customer service skills in every department. Terrible store.

Wow! What a McDonald’s. I struggled to distinguish it from every other McDonalds in the world. Soooo amazing. The burger tasted like a McDonald’s burger! Compared to hand prepared and hand cooked burger from a nice restaurant, McDonald’s is dreadful, but, hey, you know what you’re getting.

Usually the service is great, but one of the workers just decided to call me lazy because I didn’t take my tray to the bin?. Loads of people do it and that’s just insulting, let alone embarrassing.

I as super excited to find them open on Boxing day, only to be very disspapointed by the food. Everything was burnt and super greasy. Sweet and Soure chicken balls were burnt on the outside but undercooked on the inside. The only dish which was okay wsa the salt and pepper chicken. Won't be returning.

Everything looked deep fried burnt and taste burnt . Totally terrible, disgusting, and inedible, one word DIABOLICAL. I have gave them the benefit of doubt since the most excellent Vin kee shut but can't believe how bad the food is.

Quite bland food which was also jelly in consistency. We had a vegetarian and a beef dish and both had similar feedback Not going back there

First time we’ve had a takeaway from here and won’t have another. My husbands curry was quite thin and my chow menu was just so salty. Also virtually no chicken in the noodles and very little in the curry. They did answer the phone promptly when Howan was continually engaged ……maybe that’s why.

Used as normal Chinese was closed. My meal for one: Sweet and Sour chicken balls were solid as they were so overcooked. Even peeling the batter off didn't help. Beef in mushrooms had a sauce that was like jelly in texture. I genuinely don't know how that was managed. The special fried rice had one token shrimp, bit of pork and bit of chicken, and was overcooked and sliceable. All had too much salt. My partners food: Beef chow mein was ok but lacked flavour. The salt and pepper chicken wings were overcooked. We went at opening today and my partner was the only customer. We have chucked over half away of the food. Won't be visiting again.

I wasn't that keen on the food tbh , it was ok and cooked well , fairly large portions, but I don't know , I dont think the ingredients were the best if I'm completely honest.. nice enough service, though, and the price was reasonable , parking was a little bit tricky but not impossible

Unfortunately 1 star is the minimum rating. This location used to be reliable and good quality; since outsourcing their delivery to Uber you now have to wait over an hour and a half for delivery and their solution is to wait until the pizza arrives cold then they will send a replacement, prolonging the time further.

First and last time using this place. Where do I start. The App: can't edit an order in the basket even though it's not placed. Have to delete and start again. Took three attempts to pay and no evidence as to whether it had worked without checking my bank for pending payments. Turns out the 'charity donation' box interfered with the payment process. The 'tracker' app ( uber ) said preparing food for more than an hour and never moved past this. My order had vanished completely from the PJ app even though I was still logged on! Service: After an hour I kept trying to call but they kept rejecting my call. Sometimes 'busy' but mostly killing my call. When the pizza did eventually arrive it looked like it had been dropped ( see picture for how it arrived ). Also, it was nearly cold and congealed, I nearly took it back but it was late by then and I was tired and hungry. Seriously, this experience could not have been much worse. If you're deciding e.g. between Domino's and PJs. Don't even think about it. Get Dominos. Also note from the picture they only put toppings on 3/4 of the pizza. And extra toppings are £1.70. For what? Where do they go, inside? There is a big empty ring between the toppings and the crust on all but two slices. Skimpflation at its most obvious.

This place needs closing down. I was told delivery would be 30min, 35 min later and the app says it’ll be another 25min. Called the takeaway and the guy told me to collect it and it would be 20 min. Went to collect it only to be told the driver had taken it. So that was a wasted journey. Driver arrived after an hour. Pizza stone cold, extra sauces that I paid for not there. Guy on the phone just didn’t care. Absolutely crap 👍🏼 waste of £35 & an hour and half.

I collect from here every now and then and every time, the tracker says that the order is ready to collect, but when I go in and ask for it, they say 'just a few minutes please, it's not ready yet', and then I have to wait 5-10 minutes more for it to be ready. I don't care if the tracker tells me to wait a lot longer, as long as it's accurate. What I object to is being told my order is ready, to then have to stand around in a cold lobby for 10 minutes.

For the first time we ate such dry pizzas, almost nothing on top, and we are regular customers of the Papa John's pizza.

Food is good, just don't order custom pizza's I very rarely order takeaway pizza because I live so far from Newbury. I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza with extra vegetables. Went to go pick it up and when I came back to go eat it, it had no BBQ Sauce or Chicken on. I rang up to get a replacement, they were happy to replace it but I have to drive back 25 mins each way to collect a new one. That's too far!! But now I have a 'verbal promise' when I come back I can get a new one. I'm not sure how that works... FYI there special garlic sauce is just really weird looking butter

A great take away Pizza point in Newbury. We had classic BBQ and Hawaiian pizza (half half) in a stuffed crust. Pizza was delicious.. Wish the pizza had more ingredients in it. It is reasonably sized and worth it. I would recommend this place. Thanks.

Went to pick up order, only one person at checkout who was on the phone trying to work out wrong online delivery. Completely ignored for ages. Even we got wrong food. The only good thing was the plain noodles. Chicken boiled, yuk, satay sauce runny. Not impressed at all.

It's nice if you get what you pay for Only been here once before - early 2020. My girlfriend always touts them as being the best Chinese takeaway, and on that occasion all seemed fine. Fast forward to last night's delivered offering: around 30% more expensive than expected, but I'd have been ok with that if the sweet and sour pork, Hong Kong style, had been more than a few rather small, deep fried pork pieces in a sauce. No peppers, carrots, onions, pineapple... no more order here!

Bland food. Chicken tasted raw with no seasoning. Little expensive compared to other Chinese takeaways nearby.

I've been using this takeaway for 15+ years and it's never let me down. I would recommend to anyone. It's reasonably priced and you get value for money. There's also a wide variety of choice on the menu.

Friendly Family run business , good portions, Lovely tasty food. Wouldn’t get our Chinese Take out anywhere else. XXX

I’ve given it a one star rating because of a staff member, she doesn’t understand English very well or speak it even though she’s lived in uk many years. I wouldn’t order otherwise I can say the food is good, just that one staff member needs to learn some customer service and manners.

Very disappointed, unfortunately I was given the wrong meal, not quite sure how this happened when it was so quiet. The quality was poor and fairly tasteless. This was almost certainly one of the poorest take aways that I've had. Good luck !!!

Slow service and super busy. Had low expectations though did not meet that unfortunately. A positive is they accepted NHS blue light discount in this venue. Burger was okay; had it outside the benches, though I would image if you took it home it would be cold.

Worst Experience Ever in a burger king. The customer service was horrible, basically the person who behind the counter was rude behaviour, I totally understand it’s a busy place and job but if these kind of attitude towards customers happens it will be terrible for burger king. Furthermore the food was poor and even the drinks were no ice and didn’t even ask and ignored the customer.

Popped in and none of the self service machines were working.I asked the lady behind the counter if she sold espresso. She coldly said yes in a foreign accent and a i cant be bothered to be here attitude.I definately wont be spending my money here again.I will stick with greggs who are always nice and pleasent.

Stopped yesterday and food was lovely, very quick and excellent customer service from Claudiu. Best BK I've been to!

Always cold food as F I’m a driver between Newbury and London and always try to rest a bit in the service area I’m uploading photos you can see burgers are crying chips are ice cold and oil melted and dried on potatoes Usually they dont have coke or pepsi so they offer you rubbish capri sun orange juice Really the service is horrible

The food was fresh and the customer service outstanding! Lots of young lads there , I’m happy to see them start working so young

Very good burgers and feels so fresh when i got the food and the speed of service was excellent.
