Nestled behind the port of Nice, Chez Pipo is a beloved local gem that has been delighting visitors since 1923. This charming eatery exudes a rustic ambiance and specializes in socca, the traditional chickpea pancake that has become synonymous with the region. While many spots in Old Town offer this delicacy, Chez Pipo stands out for its expertly crafted version, cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven.
Great authentic Nicoise fare here at Chez Pipo! A terrific, tapas style menu, brings you the best portions of delightful local fare. Given the modest prices and fair portion sizes, it's easy to select 3 or 4 dishes to accompany your choice of wine, beer, and spirits without busting your waistline or your wallet. I arrived around 6:30 to a few empty tables, but it filled up fast after that. The staff moved quickly to seat guests but you never feel rushed to finish and leave. This is a terrific spot to taste Nice, located in the old city. A delight to walk to, and just a few streets from the port, which makes for a lovely walk afterwards. Don't miss Chez Pipo!

Wow wow wow this place is amazing I first got recomended this restaurant by a tour-guide when I asked for places that made genuinely good local food. So I went there, got seated. The server noticed that I struggled with french so he switched to english. I said I wanted to practice my French so he not only switched back but even helped me with some words. The first time I was here i ordered the following: Tartinades (Tapenades Verte & Noire) Socca anchois With a aperol spritz as a drink And for desert a lemon marangue pie with a glass of niçois rum as a digestif. This meal was so good, and the staff so nice that despite me saying that I try a new place each night I during my stay, went here twice. So I went again and the meal was just as if not more terrific. This time, and what I'll be showing photos of, I ordered: Tartinades (Thoïonade - Anchoïade) Pissaladière Socca anchois (because i couldn't get enough of it) And a Panaché to drink And for desert I had: Tourte de Blettes And glass of niçois rum as a digestif All of the flavors work so well together, the food was obviously made to order and was super fresh, and the best part is that it really wasn't expensive for what you got. and the staff (once again) was super kind and even remembered me:P When I come back here, I'll visit Chez pipo. When my friends say that they're going to nice, I'll recomend them Chez pipo. I love this Chez pipo🫶🫶 Edit: i unknowingly went a third time because I went on a food tour:) Not complaining, I couldn't have wished for a better end to my trip to nice. Au revoir and see you lovely people next year:))

We’d heard so much about this restaurant and its famous specialty that we were happy to wait in line for a table. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the hype. I’m sure socca can be a wonderful traditional dish, but what we tried that night just wasn’t that good — and the classic one we ordered was a bit burned. Service was fine and prices are reasonable, though the menu felt quite limited. Overall, an okay experience but not quite worth the buzz for us.
Georgia P — Google review
Food was really good, we enjoyed it very much. But the wait for food for 40 mins plus was gruelling. We had to remind the waiter twice and even then only one of the items arrived. I guess the waiter completely forgot about our order. The stools in the restaurant is also slightly small which made the wait even more uncomfortable.
Arun S — Google review
A popular place for Socca. Long Q to get a table. Service was not so friendly..I guess bcos it was busy. Overall food was not bad.
Valerie N — Google review
We had an excellent meal the socca was delicious. We tried normal, parmigiano and ansjovis. All were tasty but the ansjovis was our favourite. The whole experience was made even better by the fantastic service provided by our waiter Mario. He was very friendly and we heard him effortlessly switch between several languages with different guests (he speaks 6). Mario gave same good advice on dessert as well. He suggested i try the mystere which was indeed delicious. Highly recommend this place!
Martijn K — Google review
We came here on our last night of the trip & wished we had come sooner. When you read all the reviews that say this place is a must & a local gem, I couldn't agree more. It was my first time trying something like this & I loved it. Filling yet not too much & delicious flavours. I got the anchovy one & my friend got the parmigiana, really enjoyed the anchovy one personally. We also got the tartinade with the olives & it was good. Total we paid less than 25 euros
Serena V — Google review
Everything we tried at this traditional restaurant was delicious, though our favorites were the socca and the lemon mousse. We stopped in twice, and while it was extremely busy each time, the friendly staff found a spot for us. I can’t imagine a better place to try classic Nicoise specialties.

Fast food restaurant
Lou Pilha Leva, a beloved establishment in Nice, is renowned for its delicious socca and mouthwatering moules frites. Nestled at Place Centrale, this casual eatery invites you to savor a generous bowl of fresh mussels served in a delightful saffron cream sauce while enjoying the sunny ambiance at outdoor picnic benches. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, making it easy to mingle with locals as you indulge in your meal.
I went here in March 2023. I love their salade niçoise, but the portion is kinda big for one person. It is more suitable for 2 people. The seating is limited, but still a good experience for me.
Adriana A — Google review
Good spot in the Old Town to try socca with a drink. Lively atmosphere, especially in the evenings. It is loud, a bit chaotic, and exactly where you want to be if you’re in the mood for socca with a side of people-watching. Order it hot, sprinkle some pepper— and suddenly life feels simple and good. Recommended 👌
Lida P — Google review
A corner eatery in the Garibaldi - Old Town area that offers quick and efficient service by offering plated (literally plated) dishes. Offers cash and card. So ideal for a quick bite and move on with your travels. It has limited yet open-air bench seating and is generally moderately crowded. The cashier-cum-server was mildly rude when asked for a fork and knife for my Socca. Maybe it's a cultural thing or that I don't speak the same language, but that's okay. The food was warm and tasty.
Debajyoti A — Google review
**Lou Pilha Leva – Nice** I really loved this place. The **staff is friendly and welcoming**, which is impressive given how busy and touristy the area can get. The **socca with a cold beer** is a perfect match — simple, authentic, and delicious. As a Uruguayan, I couldn’t help but notice how similar socca is to our **fainá**, a chickpea flour flatbread brought by Italian immigrants to Uruguay. That connection made the experience even more special. A great spot to stop for lunch before continuing your walk or heading back to the beach. Highly recommend for a true taste of Nice!
Gustavo I — Google review
Great spot! I really liked the concept of having all the classic local dishes under one roof (more restaurants should follow the example). I tried the Socca and Pissaladière—both delicious. The Socca reminded me of fainá back home in Argentina, the perfect pizza companion. Staff were super friendly and fast, and the prices are very fair. The outdoor seating was quite convenient (there’s indoor seating too). Cash and card accepted. I’ll definitely be back to try more!
Lucas K — Google review
Went here twice for lunch over my 4 days in Nice. Very tasty food, everything was great! Had the tarte du blette salee, the fried zuccini flowers and also the mussels. All yum. Would have liked a spoon for the mussels so could get more of the sauce. Nice enough staff, long line but always moving.
Sarah W — Google review
I was walking by here and saw a sign for Socca for 3 Euros so I decided to give it a try. First time trying it and not sure if im the biggest fan yet. It was a bit dry but I’ve never had other Socca yet to compare. Overall the vibe of the restaurant was awesome, the service was very quick, and the experience felt very authentic. If you’re interested in trying Socca this is a cool place to try it out
Waleed M — Google review
Nice, quiet, and authentic spot. We tried the traditional socca. I wasn’t the biggest fan, but it’s definitely something worth trying at least once, especially if it’s your first time here.

Brasserie
Le Café de Turin is a renowned seafood restaurant located at Place Garibaldi in Nice, offering a Parisian brasserie experience. For over 100 years, it has been a go-to destination for seafood lovers. The menu features an extensive selection of fresh oysters, shellfish, and other seafood delights. Visitors can enjoy sidewalk seating and a relaxed atmosphere while indulging in the excellent fresh products prepared by the fishmonger right before their eyes.
This place is a must visit. It’s actually larger than we thought. The seafood platter is exceptional. We had traditional version with the largest sized oyster (number 1). Super fresh and super creamy! The oyster is actually better than the other very fine restaurant we went to the day prior. We also got an extra order of the medium sized prawns. If you are a prawn lover, you won’t regret it! It’s very fresh, also sweet as well! Service was exceptional! We left a wallet in the toilet by accident, the waiter brought back to us. That place was busy and many passers by. Great place, great food, great service, great value. Love it!
Brian Y — Google review
Food 9/10 - one thing I cannot stand is to put bottom of plate on top of bread (see photo). The bread has become so dry, because it’s been cut and put outdoor in heat and wind to be ready to serve. It’s convenient to do so but the food would not stay fresh. Customer service 5/10 - The waiter we got at first was very impatient and rude to tourists. His colleagues were acting normal. I’m sorry for the chef, good food was ruined by one bad waiter. Edit: having read other comments I would like to point out that we are also East Asian, speak English (been living in Europe for many years)
YZ L — Google review
Le Café de Turin is truly a must-visit in Nice if you love fresh seafood and authentic French charm. The oysters were absolutely divine, fresh, briny, and perfectly presented, paired beautifully with prawns, tarama, and crisp bread. Everything tasted of the sea, simple yet exquisite. But what made the experience unforgettable was the service. Christopher, our waiter, was the highlight of the evening. He was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. His warmth and professionalism elevated the whole meal and made us feel at home. He made an exceptional wine suggestion as well. If you’re in Nice and want seafood done right, this is the place. Ask for Christopher, he will make your visit exceptional.
G. ( — Google review
They are quite purely a seafood restaurant. It is not necessary to choose the pre-set platters. We chose the big oyster and big shrimp which are delicious. Their mussels are in the right taste of the french style. It may be a bit expensive but worth to try
Lam H — Google review
A great place for Oysters and fresh seafood. The tables are small, but the plates are big and filled with delicious shrimp, mussels, etc. we went for a lunch and tried the degustation platter and added some more dishes. it was plenty of food and we enjoyed the staff and also the relaxed atmosphere wand conversations with the people next to us. check it out!
Thomas K — Google review
we were unfortunately disappointed by the food and service of this restaurant. we ordered a seafood platter which had inconsistent quality of seafood. for example the mussels, some were incredibly fishy while some were fresh. oysters (no. 3) are the salty briney kind which was decent. whelks were very fishy as well. the fish soup (19€) was pricey and average in taste. but most importantly, they were so understaffed we could hardly get anyone’s attention and had to wait long periods for small requests.
Aly — Google review
Great food, we even wanted to come back here the next day since we haven't tried everything. However, the waiters were very rude. It looked like something happened among them, but it's not visitors' fault right?, so why should we participate in it and be impacted by their bad mood? They threw cutlery on the table aggressively, ignored us, and when we paid and waited for one of ours to come back from the toilets, they pushed our chairs while we were still seating - apparently hinting that it was time for us to leave.
Adel K — Google review
Nazim , the cheese guy from Maison Perrert recommended this place stating “the seafood is the freshest you will find”. He was not wrong, the octopus carpaccio was so tender and flavorful mere words can not describe it. The prawns and langoustines were sweet and tender. We also had the lobster pasta, which we ordered while seated after reading another review. Amazing. Great meal, good staff, prompt service. Cant say enough!

Nestled near the picturesque port of Nice, Les Amoureux is a delightful pizzeria that brings the essence of authentic Neapolitan pizza right to your plate. Just a leisurely twenty-minute stroll from the Best Western Plus Hotel Massena Nice, this charming eatery offers both classic and inventive pizza options crafted with fresh ingredients sourced weekly from Italian producers. The chef's expertise shines through in every bite, showcasing a perfect blend of simplicity and generosity that has earned recognition in the global pizza community.
Absolutely delicious! The pizza here was fantastic - fresh ingredients, perfectly crispy crust, and loaded with flavor. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The service was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving authentic, delicious pizza. Will definitely be coming back!

Amazing pizza! We came here twice during our 4 night stay in Nice. We had to que both times but was well worth the wait. The tiramisu was also one of the best that we have tried. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the owner even gave us a free shot of Limoncello as we were leaving which was a nice touch. We can’t wait to come back on our next trip to Nice.
C — Google review
Truly authentic Italian pizza in Nice! Les Amoureux is the real deal — the kind of place that instantly transports you to Naples. I had the Riviola pizza, and it was absolutely perfect: light, blistered crust, high-quality ingredients, and that unmistakable Italian balance of flavor. You can taste the passion and authenticity in every bite. The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious, and the staff are genuinely welcoming — you feel like a guest, not just a customer. If you love real Italian pizza, not the tourist versions, this is a must-visit in Nice. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Real Napoletan pizza, super yummy! Ragazzi, vera pizza napoletana, deliziosa! Do not miss this pizzeria in Nice! Owner Ivan is a great host, and if you are a soccer fan, he can tell you personal stories about Maradona too!
Carla — Google review
One of the best pizzas I ever tasted, definitely the best in France. The owner was super friendly and hostile. The pizza itself was delicate, fluffy and delicious. Definitely worth a wait. If a could give more than 5 stars I definitely would❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wiktoria W — Google review
We had the house pizza and the Vasinicola and they were phenomenal. One of the best pizzas we had in our lives so I warmly recommend you visiting Les Amoreux when in Nice. After the pizza we got also the tiramisu which was dangerous. It can get you addicted to it. The service and the host were very nice and helpful without being intrusive. Make sure you come early to get in line!
Alexandru F — Google review
New location (3yrs ago…), same fantastic pizza and hosting from the main man. And his staff (lovely smiley waitress). Pizza is excellent fluff crust Neapolitan, wine good value. What’s not to like. Just get here early if you want in at 7!
James C — Google review
One of the most authentic Neapolitan pizzas I’ve ever had. The dough is light, airy, perfectly charred around the edges, and the ingredients taste fresh, simple, and full of character — the way pizza was meant to be. I ordered the Pizza Stracciatè and every bite felt like a balance between simplicity and craft — the kind of pizza that reminds you why Naples is the true home of this art. The staff are warm and genuine, and you can feel the passion behind every detail. A small place with big soul — filled with the smell of wood fire and the sound of laughter. If you love real pizza, this is where you need to go at least once.

Chez Acchiardo is a family-run restaurant located in the old town of Nice, serving traditional Italian cuisine for over 90 years. The cozy stone-walled dining room offers a charming atmosphere where locals and tourists alike can enjoy classic Niçoise salad, carpaccio, grilled meat dishes, and traditional favorites such as petits farcis nicois and salade nicoise.
We found this spot on the Michelin guide and I cannot recommend this authentic Nice restaurant enough. I mixed up the reservation and the staff was so kind and accommodating to us. They were able to find a spot for us quickly and am so grateful to have had lunch here. We had the signature beef stew with raviolis and the red mullet with green gnocchi. The spritzes were delicious (which we discovered not all spritzes are created equal).
Brianna B — Google review
Lovely lunch at Chez Acchiardo. We went specifically to try the Daube Nicoise, and were tempted as well by the duck breast. Both were delicious albeit heavy dishes. The Daube Nicoise is a hearty ravioli with beef stew, and it was tender and flavorful. The duck breast was perfectly cooked. This must be a great place yo try more Nicoise dishes.
Catherine S — Google review
Make a reservation!! – that’s the golden rule for this restaurant! This family-run spot, now in its 4th/5th generation, is one of the most well-known restaurants in Nice. You can immediately sense how beloved it is, with the owner warmly greeting many regulars like old friends. Each day, they feature a “special of the day,” which quickly became our favorite part of the menu. The daily special changes every day, so there’s always something new to try – and mine was absolutely delicious. We had a noon reservation, and even before the doors opened, there was already a crowd gathered outside. Most of them had reservations too, so don’t risk it – if you want to eat here, be sure to book ahead! Overall, the food was excellent for a family-run restaurant – very authentic flavors, hearty portions, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended if you’re in Nice!
Jamie P — Google review
You can understand why this restaurant is so well established. There was a warm welcome, the service was excellent throughout as we enjoyed dishes such as farcis nicois, cotes agneau, filet de bouef and two mouth watering desserts. Compared with some of its apparent peers, it is excellent value for money. Our only regret is that we hadn’t discovered it on one of our many previous visits to Nice.
Chris S — Google review
Dined here today, arrived 5 minutes before opening and was seated straight away for lunch. We were a party of 3 adults, 3yo and a newborn. The service was faultless, they were so accomodating and we felt so welcome with our kids. They even brought out some colouring and a booster cushion for my eldest. The atmosphere in the restaurant had an old world charm and the food and prices for Nice was great. We ordered the lamb, plat du jour which was a fish and a salad nicoise. Highly recommend the establishment, it was very deserving of its great reviews.
Ashlee U — Google review
The atmosphere and service here are outstanding. Kind servers, attentive to fill your bread basket up again without you even noticing that it's empty. We tried the Daube with gnocchi, ravioli with pistou, and duck breast with fig sauce. I am not used to a powerful red wine flavour in my food, so the beef in the daube was a little too strong for my liking. The duck was delicious and so was the ravioli. Overall an amazing family restaurant, I can see why people speak so highly of it
Karissa L — Google review
From the beginning to the end everything was excellent. We had a reservation for dinner and were promptly seated. In no time at all, we had our drinks served and fantastic bread on the table. After taking our dinner orders, food was served, probably within 10-15 minutes—very good. In addition, our server was outstanding—very personable. Without a doubt, when back in Nice we will eat here again.
Brian G — Google review
Great atmosphere and wonderful service. We tried ravioli with pistou sauce, the daube, and the duck breast. All three were quite good but I preferred the duck breast and ravioli dishes. The duck breast also came with a side and we got the Panisse Maison (chickpea fries). These were good and tasted similar to socca.

Le Tire Bouchon is a stylish restaurant in a French setting that offers shared plates, set menus, and weekend brunch. The restaurant caters to couples and offers a unique menu organization with vegetarian, meat, and fish dishes available in appetizer or entree portions. The talented young chef creates dishes with spot-on flavors and seasoning. While the presentation could be refined, the food quality makes up for it.
Had lovely experience here with my friend. Great food, amazing service. Friendly and attentive staff. Felt lucky to have found a table as usually this place is quite packed when we walked past previous evenings.

It was the most disappointing Italian dinner I have had in Nice in 10 years here…. Appetizers were lacking in size (calamari) portion size was disappointing. Had the duck (overcooked ) and linguine fruite de mar (over cooked, 90% of the clams don’t open and single shrimp was so overcooked it was chalky) Do not recommend. Service was absolute chaos and insanity….
S D — Google review
Food was a bit different to what I expected from the description but it was very enjoyable, tasty and filling. The staff raised their voice between themselves constantly so I found it quite disruptive.
Joanna B — Google review
Service was chaotic, staff was running around having no idea what’s happening around them. We ordered two grilled salmones and they were raw. The wine was okay and the staff was kind, but the raw meat ruined the whole experience. We tried to speak to the staff about it but they said it’s fine that way… Also the cups on the table were dirty

Didn’t expect to get such great food here in the heart of Nice! Young and talented chef, very creative dishes well put together, amazingly delicious. Beef is tender, soft and well presented. Chicken pairs very well with the sauce! Egg is amazing, and a must-try! All dishes are insta worthy! Staff are all bright as sunshine!

New owners , check reviews, very different. Been here lots of times and was looking forward to it. Arrived and menu was very different, the waiter explained that ownership changed a month ago. I hadn’t looked at the latest reviews as the name was still the same so no reason to expect anything different. I had the steak and rocket , first steak was over cooked and the waiter changed it but second , even though not over cooked was tough and had a strange taste. Hubby had carbonara, not dreadful but the egg was all scrambled at the bottom and the bacon was minimal. The waiter was very good and was trying hard to deal with bad food. Others turned up and left straight away when realising it had changed, we should have done the same
Georgina O — Google review
Avoid at all costs, an absolute ripoff. Ordered a bottle of Bordeaux at the suggestion of the waiter, they brought a bottle of Pay’s D’Oc that was not even on the menu, without saying anything. When we consumed the bottle and noticed the switch, the waiter said they were out of Bordeaux, but the price is the same. Well, no… Also ordered veal, got brought roast beef, but was charged for the veal. Had to point out that error as well. The salad was not fresh, the experience was bad, even the touristy restaurants on the plaza had much better food and service. This place was recommended by the hotel, do not trust the hotel recommendations.
Alexander D — Google review
Good price for their food. They had a prix fix where you were able to try the diff dishes on menu. Our table ordered the whole Menu and shared. Food was cooked well and presentation was great. Wait staff was very busy though - as the restaurant can get full quickly during service time. Totally recommend trying this place out.

La P'tite Cocotte is a charming Italian restaurant tucked away on a small street in Nice. The restaurant offers a three-course fixed-price menu for both lunch and dinner, with additional options available at extra cost. The cozy terrace provides a great ambiance, complete with views of a historic vine-covered building. On weekends, the restaurant serves lunch as well, making it an excellent choice for a relaxed Sunday meal.
This is one of the best value meals I’ve had anywhere in France, and I travel for a living; I’ve had a lot of meals in France! The 3 course price-fixe menu was perfectly proportioned, beautifully presented, and delicious. Our party of four didn’t have a reservation, but we arrived shortly after opening and they gave us the option of inside or outside. It was a beautiful night, so we opted for outside—great choice! The service was friendly and professional, the wine was good and reasonably priced, and we all enjoyed our evening thoroughly.

A charming little restaurant tucked away in a side alley. Both the interior and exterior are nice designed for theold town. There is no "à la carte" menu. Instead, a set three-course menu is offered. The starter, main course, and dessert were all delicious. Personally, I felt the dishes could have been elevated with a bit more spice variety to create a more rounded flavor profile. The ingredients were fresh, and the drinks were also excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. A good value for money. It`s ok... We had a wonderful evening with fantastic food and a lovely atmosphere, perfectly complementing the old town charm of Nice.

The food was great! Multiple options even on the 3 course menu and it’s great value for the money. Cute little place. I’d suggest to book a table in advanve.

I was expecting a better experience. Our table was in an inclined place and practically I felt down in a moment I was less attentive. Service professional but with no personal touch. Food was good , but The beef receipt was below expectation.
Ovidiu C — Google review
The food presentation is bit below average though taste better than it looks. However, desert was absolutely disappointing. Though i gave 2 stars cause my bill was more than 20% higher than should be (i took there set menu 29€ with no additional food added and 2 glass of wine) . I didnt say anything as it was my last night in Nice and didn’t want to destroy experience. Cause of that reason would never go there again.
Violeta B — Google review
Well the place is definitely overpriced and the portions are just too small. Most of the food was just ok/nice, but nothing special. But then, the spider pork came. Not even touched with salt at any stage of cooking. Hard to chew (or even cut), tasteless, just bad, wasted piece of meat. When I very politely told that to the waiter he just said that he can give me table salt, and when I started to explain why pork needs to be salted before cooking to achieve the right taste and tenderness, because only then salt can properly go into the protein structure to loosen it while it's raw, full of water without tighten muscles so osmosis can do it's job and season the whole thing evenly, he just turned around and walked away. I asked second waitress, but then the first one, definitely working there for longer, just told her to not listen to me, so she walked away without a word too. Only when I went to the owner I got some reaction. She looked at me with anger but took away my plate. Problem is that she did not say anything and only after a long wait I decided to ask myself what's next if I'm going to get a replacement or different dish or something and only then she was like, ok like she was doing me some mercy and still was very angry. I thought that's it, end of that circus, but then the chef bursted out of the kitchen and started shouting at me mostly in french, but the essence was that he was calling me names because according to him ,,salt is salt" and I will have to salt my replacement dish (ravioli) myself too. Never in my life I saw a chef come out of the kitchen to scream at a guest, and also such nonsense that's against basic cooking science that you learn first week in coulinary school, that salt needs time to penetrate pork. Anyways of course he was lying about the raviolis too, because they were in fact cooked in salted water, as they should and that's what seasons them like salting pork before cooking, seasons it... If he were to cook ravioli in unsalted water his grandma would probably wake up from her forever rest just to straighten him up. I don't know who employees such uneducated and uncultured wanna be cooks. Never going again to the place. Rude even for french standards.

Chez Rene Socca is an old-school cafe located in Old Town that specializes in flat-breads made of chickpea flour, known as socca. The place is always bustling with locals and French speakers lining up to grab a plate of this local street food. Despite the chaos, the service is quick and the prices are affordable. You can enjoy your socca at sidewalk seats or take it for a late-night snack while strolling around the city.
Came here for local beers, they let us bring in some socca from across the way. Super friendly staff! :)
Cukie F — Google review
Decent place for affordable food. I liked the socca, but the pan bagnat was rather bland (it’s really big, however). The service was very friendly even when the place got super busy. Card payments are accepted for purchases of €10 or more. Must order drinks to dine in.
Eki R — Google review
Stopped by for drinks and had a great, relaxed time. The place wasn’t too busy, which made it easy to get served and enjoy the atmosphere. The drinks were affordable, and overall it’s a nice spot to unwind, especially if you’re looking for something low-key.
Ruben A — Google review
We went to this place to eat the most hyped French snack socca And we realised that’s similar like our own “Indian cheela” It was just made with chickpea flour, water and oil. No added salt or vegetables how we have in India. Overall a great place to visit and enjoy.
Ankur V — Google review
Came here around 6.30pm on a Sunday. Mainly had to wait for a new batch of Socca to be cooked. We managed to get a bit of Socca from a first batch and fresh Socca from the next batch. The fresh Socca was amazing and crispy. The Socca from the first batch was a bit more stale and not as good as the freshly made one. Theres also a 10 euro minimum to use card (this was on a sign in French). One plate of Socca is 3.8 euro. You can only sit down at the table if you also order a wine at the bar across the street. Ordering a house red was only 3.1 euro.

joined a long queue at saturday 1pm and had to wait over 30 minutes for food. slightly overhyped, food was very oily. we really liked the aubergine and the stuffed vegetables. the sardine was quite fishy, and socca tasted burnt.
Aly — Google review
Sadly, we didn’t have a good experience here. The food was nothing special and tasted overly oily, without much flavor. The service was awful—a man came around to take drink orders, but he only reached our table near the end of our meal. The atmosphere was also unpleasant, with pigeons flying overhead and landing on tables. We had much better experiences at other restaurants in Nice.
André J — Google review
I have been going there since I was a little kid. It’ll never get boring and the waiting line will be longer each time! What started as a little hole in a wall takes now a full corner. Enjoy Socca in situ or take away, if you decide to eat it there please accompany it with a glass of local wine preferably rosé and don’t forget to add lots of pepper, and brag you ate Socca like a local! How to know it was good?? Cooked on the edges and olive oil moist in the center. Bon appétit!!

"Blast" is a cool bar in the old part of Nice that serves American-style food. While some patrons found the service lacking due to understaffing, others enjoyed great Mojitos and reasonably priced Tex Mex plates during happy hour. The bar also offers the best pizza in Nice at an affordable price, along with happy hour deals and a lively atmosphere with Nigerian music. Some customers even received free shots and praised the excellent customer service.
A crazy busy place in the evening but the staff will always try and get you a seat. Music is banging and the cocktails are good. Service is amazing, these guys are running around to get you your drinks in super quick time

It was a nice happy hour! The food was not so bad! The service also! The drinks too! But one of the waiter was a little bit rude! But overall i can think of 7/10 overall! Great vibes! Good drinks! But it could be better!
Josette T — Google review
Espresso, nachos and pizza what a combo. We stopped by in the afternoon for a little break. The coffee? A bit sour. The pizza? Good. The nachos? Okay. The food presentation was solid. No complaints there. We didn’t try any of the drinks besides the ‘drinkable’ coffee. So can’t comment on that front. The service was a bit dry. Not exactly the warmth we expected in Nice. Not rude, just... lacking. Interestingly, when I spoke in French, everything seemed fine, so maybe just a bit of a language barrier? Who knows. Now about the washroom. It was unexpectedly dark. Almost torch-worthy dark. Maybe an aesthetic choice, but a little more visibility wouldn’t hurt. Also not the cleanest washroom I’ve seen in Nice. Overall, it was an okay spot. Good food, meh coffee, and a service and atmosphere that needs to be turned on just like the lights in the washroom.

right at the end of the market so definitely attracts all the tourists. great atmosphere with shade. huge array of food and drink and the prices you'd expect ~5€ for a drink. free tap water though. staff are clearly very busy but attentive and friendly. only came here for drinks and to get out of the heat but it was nice

Best pizza I have had so far in Nice and very affordable. The happy hour deals are totally worth it. They also played Nigerian music and I was super happy. They gave my friend and I free shots which was so sweet of them. Excellent customer service too. I totally recommend.

Stopped in just for a good spot to have an aperitif and to people watch in the middle of the afternoon. We only ordered a couple basic drinks while we sat and played dominoes, so we can't comment on the food. But, the service was prompt and the location was perfect. There was only 1 working bathroom upstairs, so the wait was pretty long and it definitely wasn't the cleanest I've been to. But otherwise we were happy to have a spot to sit.

Nestled in the heart of Nice's Old Town, Le Bar des Oiseaux is a delightful culinary gem that beautifully marries traditional Nicoise charm with modern flair. This vibrant bistro boasts an inviting atmosphere and features a striking interior inspired by contemporary art. The open kitchen allows diners to witness the magic as chefs prepare exquisite Mediterranean dishes, including creamy brandade and handmade ravioli crafted from fresh local ingredients.
Really good fresh food at mid range price. Each dish was tasty and well thought out. Portions were just the right size. Friendly if slight rushed staff.

We went for lunch. Our waiter was very friendly and spoke excellent English. He talked us through the menu and made recommendations. The calamari was among the best I've ever had, with a unique texture unlike what I've had before. It was ace! The bourride was also lovely, and the wine suggested with it was also lovely! An excellent meal and a steal at the price.

Wow wow wow. Reservations recommended! We managed to get seated without one by showing up right at opening, but not much availability was left. Recommend getting a starter as well as a main course (and dessert!), as portions are a little small but priced reasonably and the taste was incredible. Even indoor seating was well-appointed and beautiful.

Great little French restaurant in back alley of old town. Very popular and I recommend booking. We had a 15 minute wait for a table for 2. Food was fantastic and I highly recommend it. We are the chicken and duck and paired it with a nice rose wine. The fig dessert was great.
Wayne C — Google review
The food was good, especially if you order the menu. I had the duck and it was really tasty. The service was decent, but they seemed really rushed , almost like they wanted us to leave because they were about to close. It didn’t feel very welcoming at the end, which was a bit disappointing.

Me and my boyfriend visited nice for the first time and had our first dinner at this restaurant. I actually can’t believe this restaurant was mentioned in the Micheline guide. Our food didn’t taste anything, it was extremely bland. The appetizer was ok but nothing more than that. It was such a disappointing experience. I will give it two stars because of the extremely charming environment and our nice service but the food was so bad. Maybe it was just a one time occurrence and we were unlucky?

Delicious food, good wine, great and fast service, no bs, on point, helpful! We loved everything: had st jaque, tartare de daurade, duck, and lemon ravioli with calamari and pork, and shared choux and pair desserts. Bread and wines were also delicious! Located in front of the church du Gesu, Restaurant du Gesu is a popular spot in Nice known for its simple homemade local dishes at affordable prices. With no website or reservations, this classic eatery offers starters around 8 euros and mains around 13-15 euros. Visitors can expect a lively atmosphere and authentic Nicois cuisine. The restaurant's unassuming charm attracts both locals and tourists alike, offering an opportunity to savor traditional flavors away from the touristy areas.
Food is always amazing! I flew from the US for just two days and wound up staying an extra day just to go here for dinner. It was exceptional as usual a bit busy but was entertained by a local musician.

A bit disappointing. The white pizza was good, but the cheese pizza didn’t have enough tomato sauce. Cannelloni and polenta were both quite bland. We tried a plate of Niçoise specialties, which was decent – probably the best part. Overall, not much flavor in the food. Service was a bit off – felt rushed and not very attentive. We did enjoy a glass of Kir, a local wine-based drink with blackcurrant liqueur – that was a nice surprise. Great location, but the experience didn’t quite live up to the hype.

The food was tasty and the place is located on a secluded alley, away from the crowd on the main street. The service was a bit slow due to the high load of customers. Still the staff was very friendly.
Monika M — Google review
Perfect location, delicious food! Highly recommended! The only thing that is important to know is that because of its location, you should go walking or by public transport, parking is hard to find (but worth the headache haha)
Martin L — Google review
I had an excellent experience at this restaurant! The salade niçoise was fresh, well-seasoned, and perfectly balanced — you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. The pissaladière was authentic with just the right touch of sweetness from the caramelized onions and the saltiness of the anchovies, exactly as it should be. I also tried the pizza Margherita, which had a light, crispy base with flavorful tomato sauce and creamy mozzarella — simple but spot on. Finally, the tagliatelle al pesto was a highlight: fresh pasta with a vibrant, aromatic pesto that tasted homemade. Slow service but cozy atmosphere, and dishes that really respect Mediterranean tradition.

Such a great restaurant with excellent food and great atmosphere. We had to wait but it was definitely worth it. Great place for lunch, close on Sundays.
Ines R — Google review
Bad food, bad service. We ordered the gorgonzola escalope, pasta was way overcooked, and the polenta tomato, this one was barely eatable. Soaking in the tomato water at the bottom, no salt, no flavour. Service is rude, even for french standards. Basically a bad restaurant.
Rafael V — Google review
Really nice location, a bit tucked away from the usual tourist spots. The waiters were really nice and the food was great! I had the Daube, which you can have either as sauce or with additional meat. I went for the meat and gnocci, which was amazing. The homemade gnoccis were fluffy, the sauce was really flavourful and the meat was pretty tender. The portions were very generous, I recommend one split the entrees, unless you are very hungry. I had the Panna Cotta for dessert, which was a bit too runny for my taste, but the strawberry sauce was amazing. I highly recommend the pasta dishes, as the pasta are homemade and delicious!

The Thai restaurant Le Banthai is a popular spot for food lovers in the old city of Nice. The seafood section features fish cooked in various ways, including steamed, boiled, or grilled. Reservations are advised to avoid disappointment.
We needed a Thai fix and we walked around Old Town when we came across this restaurant. The owners, their dog and the staff are very welcoming. The ambiance was very well done. They have two areas for seating so it never felt too crowded. The food was really good! We had two curries and spring rolls. The curries were fresh and flavorful! The spring rolls came out nice and hot and the sauce just had the right amount of kick in it. Their water was surprisingly blue and it was due to them adding flowers to them! Overall, this was the best Thai food in Nice!

Honestly I just came to grab some take away mango sticky rice, my favourite dessert, the vibe inside is great and the servers were very kind. The price was great and so was the portion, just a few minutes away another Thai place sells this dessert but it was much yummier here and the portion was bigger. It was very delicious.

You can really tell they use fresh ingredients and take pride in their dishes. A huge shoutout to Sandy for her outstanding service—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. She added a personal touch that made the meal even more enjoyable. Jason was also amazing. The vibe of the place was really nice too—relaxed, welcoming, and just the right atmosphere for a great night out. Highly recommend and definitely coming back!

Had the green curry and the pad Thai the 1st time which was delicious.. Everything was perfect! Went back the next night because of the great experience and had the spring rolls for an appetizer which were delicious and came out in a timely manner. Ordered the green curry again for both of us. Waited an hour and 15 minutes for the food to come out and mind you, we were one of the 1st ones there with a 7pm reservation. Another couple sat outside right next to us arriving 20 minutes after us and finished their full meal while we were still waiting for our main course to come out. 3 more outside tables came and went as well while we still waited for our food. Finally got our 2 green curry dishes that were nothing like the night before. Loaded with oil and very disappointing. When we finished, the waitress still never came back to us (long dark haired waitress) that it got to the point where I had to get up, go inside and ask to pay my bill. We were there over 2 hours. Was then charged the full price for everything, which was fine, but no apology for the wait whatsoever and the waitress was standing by the bar that you pay at and the guy had to ask her what we had because I had no bill in my hand. What a terrible experience after having a good one. I will never go back! 👎

An excellent little Thai spot in central old town Nice. Quaint space. The food is very good…. The red curry was very flavorful while also being light… nicely done. The Pad Thai was fine. The real hit of the restaurant were the spring rolls… clearly something they are famous for. Filled with glass noodles among other things, they have a heavenly texture with a stunning exterior crispness… while bursting with flavors. Do not miss out on these!!!

Known for its authentic Nice cuisine, the restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with dishes like daube nicoise, a traditional beef stew.
Ambiance - Very traditional 3rd generation French restaurant. Eclectic interior decoration with old kitchen ware. A lot of French charm. Service - was fast, courteous and efficient. We had lunch and dining room was run by the son. Dad was managing the kitchen. Food - I believe they only offer 3 course menu. You have a choice of 3 different dishes for appetiser, plat and dessert. Food was of high quality, home cook style and very delicious. You can taste the quality of the ingredient and also the skill of the chef. Conclusion - We will definitely be back to the restaurant. We were told by the local that they change their menu every 2 weeks.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at this lovely spot, and I must say, it was a truly enjoyable experience! The service was top-notch, thanks to the owner who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. He took the time to explain the dishes, checked in with us regularly, and even played fun tricks on us - it was clear they were passionate about creating a memorable experience. The set lunch was absolutely worth it - the portions were perfectly sized, and the food was delicious! We sat outside as they were fully booked, but the vibes inside caught our eye - it's clear that a lot of thought and love has gone into creating a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, we'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal and a warm welcome. Well done, and we'll be back for more!

Intimate little restaurant serving reasonably priced 3-course meals. The menu seems to change frequently. I opted for the salmon and "Greek sauce" tart, poultry skewer marinated in lemon, and strawberry tiramisu. All the dishes had a boldness and freshness that made it perfect for the warm weather. Portions are slightly on the smaller side, but with a couple baskets of bread, you'll end up being satisfied. The server was an absolute pro. A one-man show, handling a whole dining room (and a few outdoor seats) all on his own, whilst maintaining a friendly demeanour. Mesmerising to watch! Reservations are a must, and they only take reservations via phone or in person.

The reviews for Bistrot du Port are consistently good and so my son and I were excited to visit. We certainly weren’t disappointed: the tuna tartare and the lobster salad were incredible, and our desserts were just as delicious. I had roasted pineapple, which was refreshing and decadent. I am glad I haven’t seen it elsewhere or I would be enormous. Definitely worth a visit but come early as it gets very busy, especially if you would like an outside table overlooking the port.

This place was spectacular!!! Probably one of the best meals of my life. Every course knocked it out of the park (fresh local anchovies, charred octopus, salt-baked sea bass, real truffle-oil arugula salad, creme brule). The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and eager to please. Our meal ended with complementary limoncello (which was also spectacular). A 5 star dining experience Also - Nice is not known for shellfish. Mussels are imported in. This region is known for its fish, which comes into the harbor right across from the restaurant. Don't go anywhere else!

Hands down the best meal we had in two weeks in Nice! Beautiful creations by Chef Orsini and friendly personal service. We are foodies and carefully research each and every restaurant, this was the highlight with beautifully prepared dishes, the menu leans towards seafood but also has other choices. We stuck with seafood and fish. Stunning delicious fresh and bursting in flavor! The team clearly loves what they do, chef tended to my kids and us with a smile and jokes, and we were treated like the most special guests both time we visited, Once for dinner and once for lunch the next day. The view from the restaurant is also spectacular… Cannot wait to be back, thank you Chef Orsini and the team!

Le Bistrot du Por offers a fantastic dining experience with absolutely delicious food! Despite not having booked a table, the staff were incredibly accommodating and ensured we were seated. We started with the prawns & anchovies, which were delightful, and for mains, I enjoyed the Angus while my family had the cod and risotto - all dishes were exceptional. The service was second to none, and it was a fantastic touch that the head chef came to speak to every guest. We will definitely revisit Le Bistrot du Por when we return to Nice!

This is an absolute must eat door diner restaurant. Don’t be afraid… get the fish for two. It’s the best item on the menu and even non-fish lovers will appreciate and enjoy its deliciousness. I want to go back to Nice just for this fish.

Bocca Nissa is a charming restaurant in the heart of Vieux-Nice, offering a unique dining experience. The restaurant's exotic and atypical decor immediately catches the eye, with its incredible 250-square-meter rooftop deck adorned with lush greenery and rustic wooden tables. The Mediterranean cuisine takes center stage here, featuring an array of small plates for sharing and larger dishes for communal dining.
Great service and delicious food. Not easy to find a place which does tapas and this place managed it perfectly. I was a little worried to see the bad comments about the speed of the service but it was so fast and the stuff was so welcoming, they are all hard workers. I want to thank Alicia for her smiling face and great service: you are doing a great job, thank you! Totally recommend it to everyone! I will definitely come again to try the other dishes.

We came here for our anniversary trip and had an amazing dinner. The food and atmosphere were wonderful, and I would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion or a family dinner. The customer service was outstanding and made us feel truly welcome. Here's staff are amazing who Joy and Lionel!!! We really appreciate their hospitality and highly recommend visiting. If you are in Nice, you should definitely come here!

We absolutely loved this place. Every dish was incredible. The eggplant with feta was perfectly balanced, the smoked stracciatella with haricots verts was rich and flavorful, and the ceviche was the standout with its bright mango and yuzu flavors. It was a beautiful mix of textures and freshness all around. The sangria was a little on the sweet side for us, but everything else was 10/10. We would definitely come back.
Samuel G — Google review
The rooftop terrace was beautiful! The staff there was also extremely kind and friendly. My boyfriend and I did “La dolce vita” special for 2 people, and I would say everything we had was quite tasty!! As our main, we got the octopus plate which was full of flavor 😋 great place!
Kirsten R — Google review
We were very excited to try this restaurant as we have heard very good things about it. Once we got there, the rooftop was full, which was a little disappointing already, but it was all right, but once the food came out, we were very disappointed. We thought it was going to be some of the best tapas we’ve had with the reviews that we read before. The first dish we had was the green beans and it was OK at best probably a 6/10. We followed up with the Seabass carpaccio, which was very, very disappointing to us, lacking flavour and just overall not worth the money. After that we had the octopus which was OK nothing crazy, nothing unbelievable, I’ve had much better octopus in other places so I guess this was a little unsatisfying as well. The only good thing was the croquettes and the prawns. The prawns were very good. The croquettes were pretty good. Overall pretty unsatisfied with the meal and would not recommend to go to this restaurant.

I would definitely recommend this place! Everything was perfect – the food, the service, and the atmosphere. It’s best to make a reservation, as it’s clearly a popular spot. We sat inside and enjoyed every moment. From start to dessert, everything was absolutely perfect. A true gem!

Looking for a date night in Nice? Bocca should be your pick. Make sure you have a reservation a few days before, it gets busy!. Enjoy exotic foods that are full of flavour. We enjoyed the second set menu with some nice cocktails. The atmosphere is excellent with tropical vibes.

Mediterranean tapas style food - highly recommended the dolce vita option which lets you try dishes from each category for a set price per person (at least two people need to do this). Our server was very friendly and gave us good recommendations.

Delhi Belhi is a restaurant in Provence that serves up delicious Indian food. The restaurant has amazing interiors and is perfect for anyone who loves great Indian cuisine.
We arrived in Nice late at night looking for a feed. Delhi Belhi were closing up the kitchen but graciously said they would cook what we liked. We are so glad they did!! The BEST Indian food we’ve ever had! Super delicious and so flavourful. (Not the best photo sorry as we were ravenous when we got back to our apartment) Big love from the travellers from Sydney, Aus!
Lucy G — Google review
Delhi Belhi is a great choice if you are looking for authentic Indian food and friendly staff. Wide variety of dishes , including lamb, beef, fish, and vegetarian dishes. The thali dishes were great and flavorful. Indoor and outdoor seating. Fast and friendly service.

10/10 best Indian spot I've ever been to 👌🏽 i got the chicken tikka misala which was bangin. My girlfriend got the dal tadka and loved it a lentil soup type thing. We got the vegtable samosas for apps also bangin. And they came out with a big chip with 3 sauces that were great. My fav was the green mint yogurt sauce! Awesome family vibes too - grandpa, parents and little kids running around taking your order very cute
Rachid Z — Google review
My Indian fellow in Nice, please disregard this restaurant. Please stay away from this place. A very rude owner. We two asked for chicken tikka masala and Rice. This is all we wanted but the owner (also an Indian) told us to order more since they want people to order less and make the restaurant profitable. We were not ready so we had to leave without ordering. We found a very nice italian place nearby and had the best pizza and pasta. I'm like this is very odd and against the indianness. May be he should get the Indian flag off since he simply doens't deserve to hoist it. Atithi devo bhava is not the motto of this restaurant.
Vishwa R — Google review
Delicious food and the service was wonderful. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Lovely spot for Indian food in Nice!
Lizeth P — Google review
Right in the middle of the old town, this one wouldn't look too big or classy from outside but it has really nice antique interiors and decors. Food was good and service was fast. The folks running the joint were also very helpful and friendly. Upon arrival you get a chutney combo and papad which is cool. Both chicken and veg curry was worth it. Portion size was good enough for one person per dish.
Tarun S — Google review
Spontaneous decision to come here because we were a bit diet of eating Frnech food everyday on a trip. Food was good, but some of the portions seemed a litte too small. Mango Lassi - perfectly sweet, creamy and refreshing! Tasted like a mango milkshake and so easy to have in one go that we could have gone for seconds! Baingan Bharta - Like how this was just a perfect amount of spicy as we requested and not too oily either. Good flavor to the actual dish as well. Chicken Tikka - This was served hot sizzling on a platter; very aesthetic. There were just five pieces of chicken (fairly decently sized) and I think this was too little of a quantity to be served as an entree item. Chicken was cooked well and had a good flavor as well. I think that was one piece which had too much of the spice rub on the outside and it was a little salty because of that. Otherwise it was good. Garlic Naan - Had a little bit of spice to it on the inside which was a nice change from the classic. Also really soft which we appreciated! Noticed that the table next was got a plain naan and the size of that was much larger than the garlic one. Would have been nice to have the garlic one of that size as well. Dad and Brother ordered some items as well (on a table little away from us) and they really love the food! Loved it so much that they wanted to go back for dinner next day! Chicken Chili Fry - It was a semi gravy item and they said this was beyond amazing! Proper, spicy and very flavorful overall. "very nice with a very nice kick to it" as my brother says.. Cheese Naan was another one of your favorites; apparently it had some french cheese on the inside which was beautiful. Laal Masale Wali Chicken - It was like a butter chicken with creamy gravy. Also nice.

We received the best service here. Owner was so nice and helpful. Both in choosing whats best in the menu and to provide us with cutlery and plates for our take away to the beach. Food was also very good and authentic. Would definitely recommend.

CREPERIE Le Trimaran is a charming spot located in the Old Town of Nice, offering a delightful selection of French crepes. The restaurant provides an excellent lunch deal where you can savor a savory crepe followed by your choice of a dessert crepe and coffee at an affordable price. The friendly service and delicious crepes make it a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic French cuisine.
It was the best crepe pastry we’ve ever tasted, the handmade dark chocolate was excellent, and the chestnut was absolutely delicious! Don’t forget to pair it with vanilla ice cream, it’s mouth-watering. We highly recommend it!
Stavros K — Google review
Amazing service but like nah. The sweet crepe was very nice actually the amount of chocolate was just right. However, the savoury crepe had something funny to its taste. Its almost like the crepe was burnt on the bottom part and it tasted kinda charcoaly.
Niko T — Google review
We had a creme de citron and a dark chocolate with L'orange (dark chocolate with orange). Both were truly amazing but we prefer creme de citron. Its the most delicious crepe I've ever had so I definitely recommend this. The dark chocolate crepe was also good, the tiny bits of orange in the crepe reduced the bitterness of dark chocolate and made the crepe very delicious.
Shambhawi P — Google review
Extremely poor value for money and incredibly bad-tasting crêpes — the €20 crêpe was bitter, and both people who ate it ended up with diarrhea!I saw with my own eyes a bug crawling up and down inside the glass of water.
张润泽 — Google review
I highly recommend it! The lovely couple of owners welcomed our hungry group of five even though it was almost time for a siesta. We tried many delicious crepes, both savory and sweet. The crepe with goat cheese and Parma ham with honey and the crepes with lemon cream certainly deserve special mention. I also received a packed crepe with jam to go, which I used on the beach. Best regards to the owners, and we invite you to Wrocław, Poland ;)

Paneolio is a modern taverna in Old Nice that offers Italian-style pizzas, burgers, and seafood. The restaurant features a large sidewalk terrace and hosts an Italian-style Aperitivo happy hour where guests can enjoy a bountiful Italian appetizer buffet for the price of a drink. Despite being located near the old town in Nice, Paneolio provides warm hospitality to its customers.
Myself and my sisters visited Peneolio two times during our stay in Nice and we were served both times by the lovely Dora! She was so kind and helpful and made our experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend the food and service is amazing 😁

Real Italian Flavours and Service 🇮🇹 We visited Paneolio for dinner and were very impressed. Immediately upon arrival, the staff were so lively and fun in welcoming us. Their upbeat music added to the ambiance, as well as the warm lamp light on each of the tables. We had Aperol spritzes and shared the Duo Di Burrata and fries. The Duo Di Burrata was the standout dish with two delicious burratas - one fresh and one fried. Highly recommend Paneolio if you are visiting Nice, especially towards Old Nice area.

Randomly picked restaurant. Nice pizza and Lasagna Really love the cheesy taste! And the cocktails were so great for a tipsy afternoon. Staff was nice and really gave us a great moment as our first meal in Nice

Overall a great experience, this is not a high-class place but it's more of a laid-back chill atmosphere. I liked that it felt more local and simple than the main touristy places. The food tasted good, it's a small simple menu but full of flavor. All the staff was friendly and amazing.

After reading all the positive reviews we were expecting more. The acclaimed pizzas were not what we expected. Literally tomato sauce from a jar with zero flavor. If you’re looking for good pizza, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. Was given the wrong beer and it was replaced within 10 minutes and placed hard on the table.

By far my favorite dining experience in Nice and some of the best food I’ve ever had. Every dish was a 10/10. Having an open kitchen concept and being able to see the chefs prepare the food right in front of you is also a wonderful and inviting experience. Definitely coming back

It was not just a dinner, but an amazing experience. The highlight of our trip to Nice. We were very lucky to seat exactly in front of the kitchen and watch everything being prepared in front of us - it was a whole show, which we were not expecting. The food was super good - highlights go to the cauliflower and beef fillet, but everything was great. Wish we have had space to try the desserts that also looked impeccable. Make sure to make d reservation. It's the type of restaurant to go in couple or small groups because it's small.

My partner invited me to Lavomatique for dinner - and I can tell you it was absolutely amazing. At first, I was a bit skeptical about sitting at the counter, however, it turned out to be much more immersive and entertaining there. Panda Chine is a Chinese restaurant in Nice that offers delicious and authentic Sichuan food. Visitors have praised the restaurant for its authenticity, with Chinese diners noting the quality of the dishes. The menu includes spicy options and flavorful dishes, all made with fresh ingredients. The staff is friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service to guests. Whether you're craving hearty Asian flavors or seeking genuine Chinese cuisine in Nice, Panda Chine comes highly recommended for a satisfying dining experience.
We had the pleasure of dining at Panda Chine Restaurant in Nice on 9th January 2025, and it was a delightful experience. The food was incredibly delicious, with authentic Chinese flavors that satisfied our cravings. The staff was extremely nice, friendly, and attentive, making us feel very welcomed. The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a relaxing meal. The service was prompt, and every dish we ordered was fresh and flavorful. If you're looking for a great Chinese dining experience in Nice, Panda Chine is a must-visit!

The restaurant is in a little hidden street, rather small inside but clean. There is not much atmosphere but if you are looking for Szechuan food this is a good option. I would have preferred a stronger level of spiciness but for someone who is not used to Szechuan food, Panda Chine's food is not too spicy. Szechuan cuisine uses mainly dried chillis and Szechuan peppercorns which have a special fragrance and a numbing feel if you bite into them , so do not be alarmed!

Cockroach in food!!!! My wife ordered takeout from this place - (she ordered the Mao Xue Wang), and she found a cockroach in the food🤢. I honestly couldn’t believe it. It’s disgusting and completely unacceptable. Please save yourself the risk—just don’t eat here.

Wanted to get a fix on my Asian food craving but it turn out not horrible.. look at the photo and maybe come up with a name for this dish. This is completely horrifying. I checked with the waitress she told me it is stir fry with oyster sauce. Anyone that is looking at this post may Google what’s does stir fry cabbage with oyster sauce looks likes. 🤢didn’t dare to touch the dish at all. But to be fair the sweet and sour pork is ok. Just the cabbage looks extremely scary.
Anthony L — Google review
The service is terrible, waiting for an hour to be served. The free water provided has insects in it, and it took the elder female owner 40plus minutes to get us a glass, who is rude and forgettable btw. She tried hard-selling us a 1L Evian without telling us the price when served. When my friend asked about the price, the elderly female owner claimed it’s the same price in supermarket, 5.5 Euro per bottle! That’s a scam! The portion of the dishes are small, as 3 dishes and 2 rice can hardly fill up 2 people.
Li H — Google review
Quite authentic Chinese taste. We had a takeaway. The waitress mentioned 20 minutes of waiting during dinner hours but I ended waiting for 48 minutes. The cook forgot two of my orders so I needed to wait for another 10 minutes. I got a complementary Coke for waiting too long. Anyway, the restaurant is highly recommended despite of their long waiting time.

I never write reviews, but this place deserves a bad one. The food here is truly awful. It feels like it's all pre-prepared and just heated up before being served. If you enjoy bad-tasting food, you can come here.
WEIQI L — Google review
I don't usually like to write reviews for businesses. But the reviews of this restaurant are so unreal. I have to speak about my real dining experience. The sauerkraut fish only has a black pepper taste in addition to the salty taste. And only a few poor pieces of fish. Also accidentally found plastic packaging inside. I ordered sweet and sour tenderloin, braised eggplant and cold noodles. The above three are still edible, but they are not authentic Sichuan flavours. The waiter is nice.

I feel like this place had great potential. The server was kind of rude and didn’t think I understood French when he talked about my lady and I to another table. Secondly, I live near a large Vietnamese community and have come to know the flavors well and the food that was put in front of me didn’t live up to what it ought to be. I’m a chef and would normally never dog another chef, especially a female one cause I love y’all but I think all of the dishes need major work. Especially that pulled pork sandwich.

++ All in all amazing ++ We came from Nice and stopped there on our way to Monaco. We recognized the view point when we came the other way round one day before. It was quite clear that we want to stop there. We did 😉 We parked the car and enjoyed the view. As we recognized the food truck we decided to stay there for a drink. And as well for lunch after we read the menu. That was a good decision 😊 We had two fantastic dishes 🤤 Have a look on the pictures. Furthermore the service and the contact was so friendly and warm. Great view but staff unfriendly and burger was very undercooked. I politely requested to cook it until done, and 3 minutes later you can see the result in the picture. I said it is still undercooked and I don't trust eating it like that on 31 degrees outside and she refused to do anything saying that's how it is served, in an arrogant manner. Still had to pay the full price, no receipt. It is a matter of time until someone will get food poisoning. Too bad because the view is fantastic.

Quite high prices but the view compensates for everything. It takes quite a walk to make it to her from the Plateau Saint Michel but was worth the effort. From here you can go down to the Exotic Garden of Eze sur mer.

My wife and daughter and I stopped here two years ago and were completely enchanted. It was the most memorable meal we had in 10 days traveling through France. The location can't be matched, the service was friendly and attentive, far more than we would have expected from a food truck, and the food was delightful and far better than it needs to be with that view. We had a lovely lunch at this place. It was just a few meters away from a bunch of bars and cafes but was well worth walking the extra meters. The food was really good, healthy, and fresh. We got a focaccia and a salad and a couple of the drinks. The food came relatively quickly and the staff was really friendly. We spoke a bit with the owner, who was very kind. The husband as our waiter was particularly friendly and attentive, and was very happy for us to not rush - “we are not in New York!” he said. Nice atmosphere and decent amount of choice of focaccia, salads, and drinks. All at a relatively reasonable price too! Would highly recommend.

A must to stop here for a bite to eat! The focaccias were incredible! We got the salmon (Nordic) one and the red, white, and green and couldn’t pick a favorite. The orange coffee and matcha latte were also fabulous. The owners were very kind and attentive. Would definitely recommend very highly!

The focaccia was insanely delicious, and Alfonzo was attentive, kind, and very genuinely cared! It's nestled back in a shaded purgula, and was very enjoyable after our walk through Ezé.
