Nestled in the charming town of Ironbridge, the White Hart offers a delightful blend of modern comfort and traditional pub atmosphere. Guests can unwind in stylish rooms equipped with free Wi-Fi, private bathrooms, and air conditioning. The inn features a bistro dining experience that showcases an array of delectable meals while providing stunning river views from its courtyard.
Stumbled upon this pub whilst in Ironbridge with my parents and we were all really impressed. The food exceeded expectations and was worth the price. Pictured is the chicken, bacon, and leek pie and the salmon fish cake - both of which were yum! My dad can also vouch for the risotto too 🤌🏼 the staff were lovely also.

I booked this charming old authentic hotel-pub with a few rooms for my husband’s birthday and had mentioned in advance that a small gesture like maybe a card to mark the occasion would be appreciated. I was told something might be arranged, but in the end, nothing was done — a small disappointment, though not enough to spoil the stay. Our room was very clean and recently renovated, with a spacious bathroom. However, although I’d booked a yard-facing room to avoid noise, it still turned out to be quite loud. The hotel faces both the River Severn and a busy road, and at 2 a.m. we could even hear cars racing — not exactly relaxing! If you’re sensitive to noise, this may not be the ideal choice. The listing mentions parking, but in reality there is none. The full English breakfast was generous in portion, but fairly standard. There were no hot alternatives, just a selection of cereals with milk and yogurt. Overall, service was good, and with just a few tweaks this could have been an even more special experience.

Had a lovely overnight stay at the White Hart. We were taken to our room which was a nice touch and told about local services if we needed them. Our room overlooked the courtyard, really good size and we had a bathroom with own shower. Nice touch with the free toiletries and we had a fan in our room which was a good addition! You get left with a key to the fire door if you're back late which again is great and don't feel you are restricted to a curfew. They don't have parking but we parked on the museum and just extended. Tip: take a photo of the QR code so you can extend without walking back to the car. We had a drink in the courtyard after check in which was such a sun trap and we really felt relaxed there. Good choice of drinks available. Slept really well in the room and the pub is on the whole quiet after closing times. In the morning we were welcomed to our table and we could help ourselves to cereal and yoghurt. The orange juice was a nice touch. I know there was water available but maybe a suggestion to put these next to the yogurts if people need it. There's no breakfast menu and it sounded the only choice was a full English. I'm sure you could ask for anything and they would have made it as the server was so attentive but maybe offering a menu or a choice as some people don't like to ask in case they feel awkward. The breakfast was delicious. Generous portion and you could have extra tea/coffee and toast if needed. We were asked if we wanted marmalade or sauces which is taken from the kitchen. Probably a good idea to put this on a table so people can help themselves? Wasn't a massive issue though. On the whole we had a lovely stay and we would stay again!

When our main Food arrived it was cold. I had fish n chips the fish was soggy had been sat there for a while. The waitress offered to blast it to make it warm. Food came back a bit warmer. Chips were soggy my dad's food came fresh burning hot im not happy with my meal and would not recommend and will not be coming back.😑

We visited this place in Ironbridge hoping for a pleasant meal (Sunday roasts), but left with mixed feelings. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and polite, but they seemed quite absent-minded and distracted. When placing our order (for three people), we requested an additional side option around £5 per person which was listed on the menu, though not described in much detail. We just wanted something extra to round out the meal for all of us. However, we only received a small salad. When we asked about the missing items, it turned out the waiter hadn’t placed that part of the order at all. Eventually, we were brought a portion of chips, salad, and potato wedges but only for one person instead of three. When we followed up again, the waiter insisted we hadn’t ordered them in the first place. We wouldn’t have minded paying extra if it had simply been missed mistakes happen but everything took so long, and the way it was handled left a poor impression. Since we were nearly done eating by that point, we just asked them not to bring anything else. The place wasn’t particularly busy, so it felt like the staff were just a bit absent-minded. As for the food, it was below average. Some parts were better than others. The roast vegetables (leek and sautéed cabbage, I believe) and the potatoes were quite tasty, while the meat (both pork and beef) was just not so great. The wedges were crispy and tasty. The salad was overly salty, but still decent. Unfortunately, the chips had a strange, freezer-like taste a definite letdown. Overall, the mains were underwhelming. Considering the price, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations you can easily find better value elsewhere. That said, the setting and atmosphere were lovely. The garden area is especially nice, and it’s a pleasant spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Despite the confusion, the staff remained kind and welcoming throughout. In summary: a lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink, but not somewhere I’d recommend for a proper meal. I might come back for a beer, but for dinner, I’d look elsewhere.

Another lovely stay at the white hart. Staff are amazing, special shout out to the breakfast lady on a Saturday and Sunday . Food is delicious (apart from the hard poached eggs) a little gem x
Sharen C — Google review
I stopped at The White Hart for a refreshment stop while out walking my dog. I asked for half a pint of lager shandy. After it was poured the bars person said '£4.60 please'. I queried this and after the bars person checked with their manager, I was informed that they charge for half a pint of lager and half a pint of lemonade as they cannot charge for half pint of lager shandy through the till. So technically I was charged for a pint. My advice, if you want half a lager shandy go to the pub down the road who charged me half the price!

Suree's Kitchen is a remarkable and charming establishment with amiable and hospitable personnel. The cuisine served is of exceptional quality, reaching the pinnacle of excellence. This place comes highly recommended, leaving a lasting impression that guarantees future visits. The delectable prawn toast, slow cooked beef massaman, and fried ice cream are particularly outstanding. The crispy pork belly showcases an exquisite balance of spices, resulting in a delicious dish.
4 of us really enjoyed our evening meal here! Very busy so recommend booking.. we’ll be back the next time in Ironbridge

Food was amazing! Full stop. I'm going to fight anyone who says otherwise ♥️ Reserved a 6pm time slot, got seated and attended to immediately and warmly. It was a blessing to have come across Suree's in our short stay here at Ironbridge.
Riana B — Google review
Food here was outstanding, lovely little restaurant, friendly and chatty staff. Nicely decorated, calm and relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious, freshly made, the spice was flavoursome, a little heat but not overpowering. Plenty of meat in both of our dishes.
Gail — Google review
Lovely cozy place, it’s my second time at it and will definitely return. Starters were good, but completely overshadowed by both the monkfish green curry and the pan fried sea bass. Those dishes had it all, flavour, fragrant and complexity, but also fresh. For desserts the cheesecake was a massive surprise. Will definitely be back.
Helder R — Google review
An amazing little place. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is top notch. I cannot recommend here highly enough. We will definitely be visiting again. The prawn toast, slow cooked beef massaman and the fried ice cream were exceptional. The spices in the crispy pork belly were really well balanced with the flavors, it was delicious and the satay chicken was the best I have tasted in a long time.
Stu M — Google review
Sensational. Every element has been perfectly parcelled together; the flavour, aroma and texture were unbelievable. Honestly not had a meal like this. Wow. You can taste the passion gone into making these plates. The team serving could not do enough to accommodate you and did a wonderful job looking after everyone, everywhere at the same time. The quality and efficiency with personable nature is what will keep people coming back again and again, who wouldn't want to be looked after by such lovely people? The atmosphere was magical. The smell of whats cooking, watching plates be delivered to surrounding tables and feeling temptation by every offering on the menu. There was a real charm with the decor, a nod to authenticity and this warmth as though you were being looked after with aunty's home cooking but with the delivery of Michelin star quality. Visiting Again? 😋 Yes Please

What an absolute gem of a place! We arrived without having booked (silly us - definitely recommend booking a table!) but we were told they could fit us in, and I'm so glad they could. The staff are wonderful, the place is lovely and clean (hygiene rating of 5) and it felt very comfortable. We had the prawn toast and pork balls to start, which were delicious. The prawn toast was unlike any I've ever had. Super crispy, fresh and moist. For our mains we had the beef pad krapow (off the specials board) and the prawn pad thai. The beef was stunning, beautiful flavours with tender beef and a touch of heat - perfect! To end we had the fried ice cream (had to give it a go) and the lemon and lime cheesecake. The cheesecake was so creamy. We will definitely book a table next time we come ❤️ Thank you so much for such a wonderful dining experience 💕

The Coracle Micropub is a must-visit spot for craft beer enthusiasts in the UK. It offers a diverse selection of beers and ales, including IPAs, pale ales, stouts, and sour beers. As Telford's first real ale micro pub, it features an ever-changing variety of cask and keg ales from top makers. The cozy atmosphere and knowledgeable staff make it an ideal place to sample different brews.
A great pub for the beer drinking enthusiast! Something different from the chain pubs in Ironbridge. Always a great selection of different ales and lagers and a buzzing atmosphere. An absolute don’t miss if you fancy a quality beverage in Ironbridge or even anywhere near Telford, for that matter!!
Simon F — Google review
Decent selection of cask and keg small brewery ales. Conveniently in centre of Ironbridge, close to the bridge. It is quite small, but it is a micropub
Simon B — Google review
Cracking micro pub with a great selection of beers! Only a strong imp stout missing! This would be my local if I lived here!
S T — Google review
Fantastic place to try different ales. The locals are helpful with beer choices if you are not sure what to try. The beer flight is a brilliant way to try 3 different beers. They are also able to put a beer you like into a can whilst you wait, that's right, they can a beer while waiting. What a fantastic idea. We will definitely be going back to try some more beer. A highly recommended Micropub.
Dean W — Google review
Some amazing beers available here. They also have a good range of spirits. I tried the IPA and the chairman’s reserve spiced rum and they were both amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful

The Swan Taphouse is a charming pub with cozy rooms and a rustic restaurant, offering classic bar vibes and scenic river views. While staying above the pub, guests can expect a lively atmosphere with beer-fueled conversations and staff revelry. The picturesque surroundings of this destination offer delightful bed and breakfast accommodations that immerse visitors in local culture. Each inn or guesthouse has its own unique character, from traditional Georgian buildings to rustic cottages nestled against lush green hills.
We visited The Swan Taphouse in Ironbridge yesterday (01/09/25) and had a wonderful experience. My wife had the half rack of ribs, I had a burger with pulled pork barbecue sauce, and the kids went for chicken nuggets with chips and beans. From the outset, the service was excellent. The waitress proactively told us there were a few items that had run out and even wrote them down on a piece of paper so we knew exactly what wasn’t available. She then talked us through different options—really on the ball and attentive. Throughout the meal, the staff checked in, asking how everything was, which added to the great experience. The location is beautiful, with lovely views, and the rustic interior is charming. The food was tasty and satisfying—nothing was wrong at all. Overall, a really enjoyable meal and we’d definitely recommend it.
Alpha T — Google review
We visited the pub to listen to a local singer who was fantastic. The pub itself has a very cozy atmosphere, very clean with friendly staff. My complaint is half the menu wasn’t available, no fish, no chicken and a few other items on a decently small menu already, had garlic bread as a side but it was very hard. Parking isn’t great, but the public car park down the road is free after 5pm.
Fish T — Google review
The food was alright nothing spectacular or anything to shout about. Meat was over cooked and portion size for brisket is questionable. Gravy was very fatty and the mash potato was more mash cheese than potato. Cool bathroom. Coca Cola was only diet and didn’t taste of the premium brand that we all love and cherish. King regards Joan and Nigel green
Jake E — Google review
Stood at the bar a good few minutes with three behind the bar. 1 serving, 1 putting glass in the pot wash and a third stood with her fingers on a cold wine bottle. Eventually got served. I love service with a smile, unfortunately not received here. A bonus there was a lovely band playing. Did not eat but the food looked good coming out. So come on folks it's all about customer service, improve it!

Groupon afternoon tea for me and the hubby. The food was very nice and more than enough, service was a little slow though. Thought the waitress could have been a little happier in her work... had to ask for the coffees which were supposed to be unlimited but almost felt guilty to have dared to ask for a second cup. Perhaps it was because it was a Groupon voucher 🤫

On a sunny day what a beautiful place Iron bridge is. The swan has a cracking location overlooking the river, staff, service, food and beer were all brilliant. Would have no hesitation calling again when we are back on holiday another year.
Glenn T — Google review
Beautiful views lovely atmosphere but no set time for kitchen closure. The gammon wasn't available even though on specials we had to order quick as kitchen was closing at 8pm??? Even our selves and others want to order.. We could only have desserts if someone was in kitchen nefore we left. Food was excellent ribs mmmm i would go again if i cpyld mange my evening meal at nursing home times.
Cazcrete — Google review
Had afternoon tea here as a birthday present, was not impressed with the service at all, we were seated at the table, after 20 mins of not being bothered with we had to ask for our drinks, the tea pot it was served in was chipped, the sugar pot had used sugar packets and spoons from previous customers, after another 10 mins we had to ask to order the food which we had been told was already put through not asked if we wanted to add extras as stated on the menu, half way through eating our mains they brought the dessert over to us and placed it on the table next to us for when we were ready, the afternoon tea comes with unlimited drinks, asking for another pot of tea seemed like it was a problem, ribs were very well cooked too. Was not impressed at all and will not be returning.

We went with my sister and husband, who live in Ironbridge. They have been before, but it was our 1st visit. We will definitely be going back. Some of the best food in Ironbridge. Great welcome and service with a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Just left after our third visit and must say every time is as good as the first. Warmest welcome from the staff, attentive throughout our visit. The food was as lovely as ever. We both decided to try something different as we had been taken with the smoked haddock the last two times we visited. I had the salmon and prawns with lobster bisque and my partner had the koftas. Both absolutely delicious although the salmon was definitely both our favourites tonight. Cannot fault the service and will definitely be visiting again.
Barbara J — Google review
Lovely place and atmosphere and very friendly. Nice home cooked food, although not entirely to my taste as it was mostly too creamy. The fish was over cooked.

We returned to this wonderful place after sadly to long a time . However just as before the whole experience was absolutely amazing. The food, the service and the atmosphere were just as we remembered it , 5 star 🌟. We will definitely be returning & we won’t be leaving it so long next time. Highly recommended.

End of a 9 day holiday and after reading reviews I reserved a table to end our holiday with another great meal. I'm sorry but, it was the worst meal we have had in a very long time. What seemed shop bought pittabread with starter, but both mains were tasteless, potatoe scallops with pasta?, two pieces of chicken with tinned tomatoes over the top. When asked "was everything ok" mmmmm not really, the waitress just laughed. When I asked " what are you laughing at " she just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Good service, nice atmosphere, tasteless food on both dishes, sorry.

Nestled in the charming town of Ironbridge, La Casita Bar Tapas offers a delightful escape into the heart of Mediterranean cuisine. This intimate eatery exudes warmth and authenticity, with its decor reflecting genuine Spanish influences that create a lively yet cozy atmosphere. Guests can expect to be enveloped by cheerful conversations and laughter as they savor an array of beautifully presented tapas dishes. While the menu may be compact, each plate bursts with incredible flavors that leave diners raving about their experience.
Have been meaning to leave a review for La Casita, I’m generally not a huge “Tapas” fan but it’s one of my wife’s favourites so whilst visiting Ironbridge we booked here. I can 100% recommend, it’s a great little restaurant. The menu is small (so we ordered most of it) & I can confirm each dish tasted amazing. The flavours were something else. We had a lovely evening here and will most certainly book again. Thank you La Casita for a perfect evening ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wonderful little restaurant with very friendly staff and great food. Had a lovely evening to celebrate my partner’s 30th birthday. Highly recommend the fried aubergine with honey, the olive salad and sticky toffee pudding! Excellent value for money, would definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Cute little place, although perhaps lacking atmosphere. Great Location. Attentive and friendly service. Food was ok. Not brilliant and very disappointed that the Gambas did not have the intestines removed. We chose not to eat them.

Absolutely lovely. We didn’t book and just at walked in and got a lovely table by the window. We were served quickly an and the food was amazing. We would definitely recommend the garlic mushrooms with blue cheese and the omelette was fabulous. Don’t hesitate, just book. Lovely restaurant, lovely staff and amazing food.

Lovely restaurant with great food. We were a bit confused initially about whether it was open - driving past it is harder to distinguish that the restaurant is upstairs and where the entrance is (on the right). We’re so glad we walked down to take a closer look as we had a very enjoyable meal. Food was beautifully presented and very tasty. Service was friendly and efficient. Mid week peaceful vibe with enjoyable background music.
Gill W — Google review
Oh good! Something Mediterranean. That will be nice and fresh. Hmm. Soggy tinned olives. Tinned mushrooms. Over-salted chicken. A very noticeable lack of garlic in several garlic dishes. Authenticity can be summed up by the bread: It only came as an extra and it was industrial baguette from Aldi. The meatballs were good. It was OK, but nothing like the food we've had in Spain.

We had a delicious fish n chips today great portions, mini fish for the smaller appetite n large for the more hungry person. Very friendly service, quick , can eat inside n dogs welcome 🐾. Car parking near buy. It's a stones throw away from the iron bridge with a few benches by the great war memorial.

This used to be a great chippy but it's obviously been taken over by new management. Food is now ok but not great, prices increased but more importantly corners are being cut. Today I was given my food in a different box to the normal ones used for food. A thin folded brown box that when the server added salt and vinegar it ran out of the sides. Walking up the street I nearly lost half the food as the corners of the box are just folded up with nothing holding them together. Obviously not designed with this kind of food in mind and anyone with a bit of sense could see they are not suitable.
Kevin S — Google review
Very disappointing experience. The fish was literally swimming in oil, and the fries were far from fresh – they seemed to be kept in a container, waiting to be served as soon as a customer arrives, which meant they were cold, greasy, and some even dry. I also ordered fried chicken pieces, which turned out to be dry and cold. Overall, the fish was oily, and both the fries and chicken were not fresh. To make matters worse, the staff was unfriendly.
Aniadudzic D — Google review
Worst fish and chips I’ve ever tried. Fish was dry and either left standing for hours or overcooked. Chips had been refried several times. On the plus side, the mushy peas were nice and the pepsi max was cold! The managers reaction to any negative comment is hilarious. Read the other reviews for entertainment!! I did not eat the food, the photo is of the food I left -virtually the whole portion. Hey ho. I am an honest reviewer, if they can’t take criticism they should cook nicer food 🤣

Its been couple of years I am in Uk but never tried fish & chips. Yesterday i went to Iron bridge, Shrewsbury and saw this place tried fish & chips I really loved it. Such a nice place to sit outside and enjoy your food. Even the donar kabab was really nice. All the staff members were friendly especially lady owner.

Just popped in whilst visiting Ironbridge, last time we came we stopped by at Darbys and after that experience wasn’t going to go there again! This was total opposite, brilliant service and food was lovely. Three of us and two mini fish and special and a large fish and chips. Portions were superb and meal was superb. Will be back for sure.
Immy L — Google review
Great view, from terrace but that all positives, chips were barely warm, soggy and old, fried chicken was dry, and a fish all covered in excess grease, and grumpy service, got refund for chips but wouldn’t recommend it at all
