Tamper Coffee and Brunch is a newly opened spot in Tagbilaran City that offers more than just your typical cafe experience. In addition to a variety of coffees, smoothies, cookies, and cakes, they also serve brunch items like pastas and burgers. The modern cafe features high ceilings, white interiors, and clear glass Dutch windows.
The minimalist vibe is so on point - sleek, modern, and super Instagrammable. But what really impressed me was the food - their truffle pasta and white matcha smoothie are top-notch! The service was also exceptional - friendly staff, attentive, and knew their stuff. Perfect spot for a chill brunch alone or with friends. And lastly prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service.

Very nice place to hang out and enjoy good coffee. Non-caffeine choices are also available. Tried one of their meals this time. The Angus Burger patty was a little dry but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Service was thoughtful and prompt. Coffee here is recommendable. Their other drinks are also good.
Roan — Google review
First time at Tamper and will certainly be back. Food and coffee is outstanding and the service and atmosphere matches. And really reasonably priced. So happy to have found them. And the restaurant next door (Same owner) looks great too.
Matt S — Google review
Went there for a dinner with family. I've been going back over and over into this resto. It's cozy though the place is not that big. It's best to hang out there during the afternoons and early evenings. Their foods are also delectable. My favorite is their chorizo rice bowl. This is an alternative place for hanging out with friends, classmates and colleagues.
Robin C — Google review
Went here again for breakfast.. And as always, the food itself never disappoints. However, this visit left me quite disappointed. I ordered the same stacked waffles I had on my first visit, but this time they were noticeably thinner.. At first, I didn’t want to make a fuss and just tried to enjoy my meal, but then I couldn’t help but notice that a group of foreigners who ordered the exact same dish were served waffles that were clearly thicker and more generous in portion. It was honestly disheartening to see such an inconsistency, especially when it seemed that LOCALS and FOREIGNERS were being served differently... I really hope the restaurant addresses this and ensures fair, equal, and consistent service for all customers, regardless of who they are. Experiences like this can really take away from what would otherwise be an enjoyable meal....
Kamari I — Google review
Glad we found this cafe, just a 5-minute walk from our hotel. They offer a decent variety of food and we quite enjoyed it. We had their bbq chicken poppers (a generous serving), along with the Merry Berry and Peach refreshers, which were all good! However, the pancakes came out a bit too crumbly and lacked fluffiness; they were dense but not moist. The next day, we returned to enjoy their coffee. Both Matcha and Spanish lattes were decently delicious. With its welcoming ambiance and staff, this cafe is worth visiting if you’re in Tagbilaran.
Jeanne M — Google review
A perfect breakfast place when in Tagbilaran. Checks for ambience, service, food quality & pricing, and of course, good coffee. We were glad to be here.

one of Tagbilaran's *known* Gems. if you love to drink coffee or eat some good food, visit Tamper. best to come during at night because I love their place outside. plenty of drinks and food to choose but their Chicken & Waffles still reigns as the best.

Cafe
Nestled in Bohol Bee Farm, The Buzzz Café - Galleria Luisa is a charming beachfront spot offering a relaxing atmosphere and stunning seaside views. Indulge in delectable treats like halo-halo and ice-cold cocktails while taking in the coastal scenery. The café also serves an array of snacks, à la carte or buffet meals, and local favorites made from ingredients sourced from their organic garden and farm.
Good ice cream. Salted honey is my favorite.
Rochele R — Google review
The service was terrible. We waited almost 2 hours for our food, even though we ordered first. Five other tables got their food before us. When our pizza was finally ready, they gave it to another table by mistake, and we had to wait another hour. We followed up five times, but the staff just kept blaming each other. I really love Buzz Restaurant, but I’ll never come back to this branch.
Maybel D — Google review
Although the place could use a bit of updating, it’s still a nice place after lunch service to while your time away. The AC was strong, I was able to charge my phone and no one cared I stayed for an hour and a bit more. I’ve always loved their ice cream choices, sikwate and puto were not to my liking.
Dee E — Google review
The place seem to be very small looking outside the entrance but very cozy and spacious inside. It has many tables that can accommodate different group sizes. The food is great. It is very relaxing and staffs are really doing their job. But because of the goodness of the place, expect a lot of people dining during meal hours. The store is open from 7 am to 9 pm.
Mier E — Google review
The restaurant now has a new look and layout, but it keeps its rustic charms and relaxed ambience. It feels a little less spacious though because the space makes room for a larger open area. The food remains great and it has significantly expanded its menu items. The restaurant also sells ice cream in scoops or in tubs, breads, spreads, and organic home products like lip balms, soaps, shampoo and conditioner. This resto remains to be a favorite among locals and tourists.
Fjord — Google review
Nice food, lovely ambience resembling a farm. You also get a good view of the sea and the ferry terminal from here. Spicy beef pasta tasted better than it looks. Drinks are yummy and reasonably priced too.
Joy W — Google review
The second time around but the first time around taking their precious rice meal. The food itself is unquestionable taste and surprisingly wow. The pork meat is just so tender. Perfectly cooked black rice. Fresh is fresh for lumpia. Lemon Grass for drink. Its even quite quick for the serving time. Everthing is almost perfection. #Highly recommended.
Jayson S — Google review
If you are a health concious person, well this place suits for you. They served a lot of healthy options from appetizer, main dish and dessert that claimed to be organic and homemade. It is a well-known for its nature-inspired plating of their food that I found really eye-catching especially those with edible flowers that I've never known. And the best I could describe is their ice cream that is way beyond compare. The fruity and milky texture of the ice cream top on a unique cone of cassava would make you ask for more. Overall, it is no wonder why it is called a Bohol's pride cafeteria...

Gavroche, located in Panglao, Bohol, is a charming French cafe named after a character from Victor Hugo's Les Miserables. Since its establishment in 2010, it has become known as one of the top spots along Alona Beach for delicious coffee and breakfast. The cafe offers an array of delectable options including espressos, croissants, and pastries at reasonable prices.
Great service 👏 👍 👌 Nice selection of sourdough breads, croissants and eclairs. Price point is great too. Pretty affordable for great tasting pastry. Went in on Thursday afternoon.
Ellie A — Google review
It was a really bad experience. Ordering a Parisian baguette in a french bistro should be simple. But it's not. Serving without Dijon mustard, which is the key ingredient in this baguette. Butter in one bread but not on the other side of the baguette. So basically it's a dry sandwich. That has no similarities with the dish on the menu. I sent the sandwich back because of the missing ingredients. Got it back with some Dijon on the bread?? It is really the easiest dish to make and they managed to completely mess it up.
Siggi O — Google review
A great little French Bistro. Fantastic food and service. Food is amazing to say the least, each item is cooked to order. Coffee is great. Well worth a return visit
Pete S — Google review
Gavroche Bistro is a delightful spot that truly impresses with its freshly baked bread and pastries. Each item is made to perfection, making for a wonderful start to the day. Their coffee is equally fantastic, perfectly complementing the breakfast menu, which is simply exceptional. What really sets this place apart is the warmth of the owner and staff; they are incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend visiting for a cozy meal!

Food is really good for the price—loved the sausage and the breads! The place itself could use a bit of a makeover, but it’s conveniently right along the busy street of Alona.

Garden Café, established in 1984, is a unique cowboy restaurant in Bohol with a noble cause. The majority of its staff are deaf, and the profits contribute to the education of impoverished deaf children in Bohol. This charming eatery offers a diverse menu featuring American, Filipino, and Asian classics within a Vintage American West and Nostalgic Boholano themed setting.
This has been one of my faves resto in Tagbilaran, Bohol. The food is great (though a bit pricy), portioning is fair, taste good all the time. The ambiance is warm & homey and the service is always great!🥰👏👏👏
Maria J — Google review
Quiet place with a western style theme. Booths are the seating arrangement. Food was well presented and the beef with oyster sauce would have been excellent if served hot sizzling on a cast iron skillet! Overall the food was good.
Adrian — Google review
Nice place, quiet with a great variety of local and international foods. I was in the morning for my morning coffee, I didn't try the food. The big problem is the internet. The mobile phone network does not work inside and that of the restaurant is very slow (I attach speed test), so, if you are a digital nomad, or work remotely it is not a place for you. Great, helpful and friendly staff.
Johnny B — Google review
A slice of Americana in the Philippines. This place is both a good restaurant and a mini museum of cowboy artifacts. In addition to that, they train and employ hearing challenged young adults. I had the American burger and a side of fries, delicious! Others in my group had fish sandwich and spaghetti with garlic bread. All enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Will be returning soon...
Mark K — Google review
Went to Bohol and made a quick dinner stop at Garden Café in Tagbilaran—but wow, it turned into something special. The food was great, and the dragon fruit juice? Easily the best I’ve ever had. But what made it unforgettable was the staff—most of them are deaf, and the café exists to give them meaningful work and a welcoming space to thrive. The vibe was warm, and they even included a basic sign language guide in the menu so you can communicate with the servers. But for me, it was extra personal. I grew up learning sign because my aunt, who lives with us, is deaf—so signing is second nature to me. When I signed with our server and saw her light up, it instantly made my day. Moments like that remind me how beautiful inclusion is when people are seen, respected, and embraced. It wasn’t just a meal—it was a reminder of the kind of world we should all be creating. Big love to this café for serving food with heart and purpose. What a beautiful experience.

I visited there all deaf worker garden Cafe restaurant.they did great service and friendly. I ate nacho very good taste Mexican yum yum awesome
Sam A — Google review
I had to try Garden Café when I saw that they serve Starbucks coffee, knowing that there aren’t any Starbucks branches in Bohol. True enough, they do serve Starbucks, though it’s the Nespresso-style pre-mixed shot kind (not brewed from whole beans), but still a nice option to have. I really enjoyed their bluberry cheesecake. It wasn’t overly sweet or too cheesy, just the right balance with a nice creamy texture. The ambiance of the place is great, and I love that they employ Deaf staff — it’s wonderful to see inclusivity in action. A shout-out as well to Kuya guard at the parking area who's very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to trying more from their menu on my next visit!

Wild Gelato & Crepe House, located along Alona Beach, is a popular spot known for its delicious gelato and crepes. With a variety of flavors to choose from including mixed berries, vanilla, strawberry, and more, it's the perfect place to cool down in the summer heat. Visitors rave about the generous portions and delectable taste of the crepes, which can be customized with various toppings. The friendly staff and clean environment add to the overall enjoyable experience.
Place: great chill vibe and nice place to hangout. Love the interior. Food: exceeded my expectations. I loved every bit of the crepe. Try thr banana nutella!

Good food. Delicious ice cream and crepes. We had salted caramel, pistachio ice creams which were very delectable. We also had mango and chocolate/banana crepe. They are a must try. Will definitely come back for more.

So hot there. No air-condition, only fan Bad choice for me, I want delicious deseart and very cool place. I was fooled by the reviews. Ice-cream is so so ( we ate vanilla and lemon and malcha) Bowl is like a meal... not deseart If you want meal, it's ok. Taste is not bad. Anyway not good for me.
Jinhee K — Google review
If you’re looking for a perfect breakfast meal don’t worry Wild Gelato & Crepe House is the best place. Salty or sweet both incredibly delicious! Absolute favorite 😍
Marija P — Google review
It was a hot midday when we decided to spend some time here and enjoy some gelato and crepes. While the sweetness level was just right, the flavors seemed a bit too artificial for my taste. I was particularly disappointed with the gelato, as it felt like it was mostly sugar with pretty colors. I do want to give credit to the staff for their kindness. The place could be a little cooler for added comfort. Wi-Fi is available.
Eizen B — Google review
Food is okay, and their breakfast bowls are very filling. Their indoor area is hot, which was a little disappointing because sometimes what you need under some time in the sun is artificial cold.
Lara L — Google review
Best Gelato in Alona! easy to spot, and affordable. so far this is my fav gelato place in alona.
Clifford A — Google review
TRY THEIR GELATO. Had zero expectations of what the desserts would taste like; we left satisfied because everything we got was surprisingly delicious. 🌟 Ordered the hazelnut, pistachio, salted caramel & mixed berries gelato and enjoyed them! Not too sweet! The mixed berries had a sorbet texture, but the rest were smooth and oh so creamy. Also had the mango bowl and strawberry yogurt smoothie, and altogether enjoyed the cozy vibes!

The modern hotel, Bohol Vantage Resort, situated on a hillside, offers comfortable accommodations and a relaxed dining experience at Le Panorama Restaurant. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool and mini-golf facilities while admiring the incredible view. The rooms are of high quality with excellent service provided. The resort is conveniently located within walking distance of the popular Zara Cafe. However, some guests have mentioned that the swimming pool has an excess of chlorine.
A wonderful stay at the Bohol Vantage Resort! We spent 6 nights in one of the Deluxe Rooms with the most magnificent views in the area. Overlooking the town of Tagbilaran with wonderful city and coastal views. The room was very comfortable and great value considering the large balcony we were able to relax on. With swimming pool and other resort facilities this is a great place for a holiday. We took the breakfast option and so glad we did as breakfast was very good, I particularly enjoyed the Shakshuka eggs - Poached eggs in a tomato sauce base with herbs, I ordered it with rice on the side - wonderful. The resort is so close to town and all the facilities and if you rent a scooter you are only 20 to 25 minute ride to Aluna Beach and all it's facilities and beach attractions. Great stay, we'll be back.

The service ... what can I say except that the staff made us feel uncomfortable the whole time. Between the insistent looks and the laughter, we didn't enjoy our stay at all just because of the service. Do not hesitate to avoid this establishment. (The staff outside were very nice, but the long-haired girl and boy at reception are very uncomfortable). But the room were fine.

This was a spur of the moment decision after having to change rooms two nights in a row and not being able to secure a room for the next four nights without changing again! Best decision we ever made, staff was extremely friendly and helpful in all aspects. Went to our room and were amazed at the view from the veranda, it was easy to enjoy. We were early for breakfast one morning and they started it early just for us... The service throughout the entire time was topnotch! The whole experience was one of the best we had, and will come here again

Bohol Vantage became our 2nd home during our vacation in the island. We have longed plan to visit the fantastic tourist spots, beaches and falls of Bohol. We immediately booked a superior room and deluxe apartment for our stay in Bohol Vantage because they can cater to a big family like ours. The accommodation came with a swimming pool and free breakfast. The breakfast was free but delightful 😊. It gave us energy for our packed daily itineraries. All the staff were very helpful and hospitable. The view on top was mesmerizing. You can see the connection between Panglao and Tagbilaran and the sea in between. It was just stunning. Bohol Vantage also has a restaurant with Family meals that we enjoyed on our first night. It was very convenient after a day full of activities. We highly recommend Bohol Vantage Resort to all barkadas and families out there like ours who love to travel and explore. Hindi kayo magsisisi and it would be very much worth it. Thank you Bohol vantage! 🥰

Had a mixed but mostly positive experience. The waffle had a strong eggy taste, which might not be for everyone, but the Nutella sauce and ice cream pairing was delicious. The sandwich was perfectly made and very satisfying. Coffee was also enjoyable. Service was excellent; the staff were friendly and checked in often to make sure everything was okay. There’s plenty of seating for groups of all sizes, and games are available to keep you entertained while waiting. One downside is the limited parking space, and the price felt a bit steep. Still, a pleasant spot overall, especially if you enjoy relaxed dining with good service.

i’m the type who loves her matcha bitter, lasang damo kumbaga. and this one gave me that taste! though the color was kinda sad (not the green I was hoping for), i’d still give it a solid 7/10. the artisan cheeseburger, on the other hand, was SOOOO good. like, i could honestly eat it every day. the carrot cake was a bit too sweet for my liking (not much of a sweet tooth here), but if you are, you’d definitely love it! 🎀💗🩰

5 star place and 5 star coffee (and smoothie). Their crepes are from another world, I can’t thank enough the waiter and his perfect attention to detail. Coffee is roasted at the moment and they have oat option, not so common in other coffee places. Would definitely recommend spend some quality time reading or playing their games, they even have mikado and domino for you to play :)

Bready To Go is a small takeout shop that offers delicious sandwiches and salads. The ciabata bread is perfectly made, and the Italian job ciabata with a Caesar salad is highly recommended. It’s our last day in Bohol so we wanted to have a nice breakfast and we decided to go Bready to Go and OMG it was amazing! Sandwiches were so fresh and very filling which is great! Metch and staff were lovely and they made us fill super welcome! We totally recommend it!

Great sandwiches around the corner from the beach and dive shops, perfect for a quick lunch you can bring to the beach. Sandwiches are very tasty and decent size but the rub on the more expensive side. I had the Cubano and the pulled pork and they were both very tasty. I actually went there twice, 2 days in a row.

Their pesto sandwich is really delicious, We ate it 30 mins later but it still taste good. Best sandwich i’ve tasted in bohol. The portion is humongous, me & my husband shared the sandwich but I barely finished it and I was so full.

Great place, a sandwich with very generous portion, only take away, most importantly they have vegan/vegetarian menu🥰 and the worker there was so welcoming and friendly!

Love it here! The sandwiches are made to order and taste great, lots of good options. The ice cream is also nice and staff are super friendly. Mariel was lovely, and they are even open 24/7 for a late night snack. Recommend to everyone!

Highly recommended!!! Perfectly made ciabata bread not too hard not too soft 👌 we just had the italian job ciabata and a ceasar salad to take away. Salad was really really good from the lettuce medium cuts the croutons was crispy and warm everything was sooo good. Was really happy to spot that small shop they have. Would be better to have a take away and eat it in a aircon place or in your hotel room. Its worth the price too!!

Such a great spot for a quick bite to go. I got a sandwich, iced matcha latte (which was a very good quality) and a green smoothie. They are open 24/7 and it’s always fresh and absolutely delicious. They also have lots of options for ice cream. I would definitely recommend if you are ever in Panglao. 10/10. Thank you guys 🙏

Good dessert. Very filling, the serving is too much for one person. Very friendly staff, had a friendly conversation with the staff, very interesting guy.

I had a delightful experience at this spot! The sandwiches were very good, fresh, and healthy tasting. I absolutely loved the quality and flavors. The portions were just right, making for a satisfying meal. What truly stood out was the exceptionally friendly and talkative staff. Special thanks to Metch for providing excellent service , they were attentive and cheerful. Whether you're craving a healthy sandwich or a refreshing smoothie bowl, this place hits the mark. The atmosphere was welcoming and the overall experience was pleasant.

This place serves up bomb sandwiches, coffee and juices. I came here at least four separate occasions and tried a new sandwich each time that were all fire. Metch is great person that made the experience even more enjoyable.

Great ice cream and friendly staff. The sundaes are huge— even two of us couldn’t finish one.

Great place to grab a quick snack on the go, I had a tuna and cheese sandwich, it was tasty, very good, good portion and the staff is lovely and amazing. Highly recommended with good prices and above all this is a community project, helping the people from the island. And the best of it, it’s 24/7.

Nice place to stop. Lot of places to sit and a decent menu for such a place call snack bar. However there is even a bar to serve cocktails, spirits, beer and sometimes there's wine. Angel is very caring and dedicated to serve and make sure all is good for you Food is tasty. They even have brown bread, which isn't common here in restaurants Definitely worth a try to stop there

It was super quiet when we visited, probably because of the rain. We were served right away, staff were very friendly. We had the beachside outback deluxe burger and they were MASSIVE, so so delicious too. Would recommend for your burger fix! Only thing was they didn’t have a working toilet.

This spot was such a find for lunch! The staff were so friendly and kind! The shrimp sinigang was an awesome tangy sour flavour and brilliant on a wet and rainy day! The mango shake was DELISH!!!

Very delicious food they serve Unlimited pancake as well every sunday

The food is very good, which is the only reason we gave it a second try in the morning. Unfortunately, the morning staff seemed annoyed we were there, and both times we had to wait nearly an hour after opening for food. The food kept me coming back once more and then my girlfriend also found hair in her food, so there will not be a third time.

We were staying not far from here and after we went once we just kept going back! One night we even got the food delivered. My favourite was the chop suey. The hamburgers were certainly a hit with the boys! Go hungry.

A fantastic place in Bohol to visit anytime day or night for food or just drinks and great cocktails to chill out in the great atmoshere here. They open early and stay serving until late. The owner Arnel is a great natural host and the staff are all very friendly with great quick service. The prices are very reasonable also. They have plenty of nice seating areas in the shade with many outdoor fans to keep you cool. They do Karaoke, plays some great sounds and occasionally have live music too. This really is a great place to check out when you are in the area with a great mix of locals and tourists enjoying the great vibe here.... Give it a try ! Highly recommended 👌

Great service! We loved all of our orders + the coffee is great. Place is also clean and ambience is superb! Will definitely go back.

We liked the relaxing vibe and pretty interior at Namoo. The Vietnamese Beef Soup was very good; light but tasty. I could not taste the coriander even though the menu says it has coriander but it's okay because I'm not a fan of coriander. The BBQ platter was also delicious. My friend found it a bit salty but it was okay for me. The have huge servings. The bbq platter can be shared by 2-3 people, just order extra rice. They only accept cash or Gcash.

I visited Namoo Café in Panglao and ordered the shrimp pasta — it was absolutely delicious! The café has a very aesthetic vibe, perfect for relaxing or taking photos. The staff are friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality and taste of the food make it worth it. Definitely a nice spot to check out in Panglao!

We ordered strawberry yogurt, café latte, and chocolate cake. The cake slice was generous—perfect for sharing. The café latte leaned on the bitter side but was still enjoyable. I particularly liked the strawberry yogurt, which had real strawberry bits. The café is spacious, though the lighting could be improved; some lights were blinking when we visited after dinner. Overall, it’s a nice, chill spot for brunch, coffee, and dessert.

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The service was exceptional—staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail was taken care of. The food was equally impressive: fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavors, and beautifully presented dishes. It's the kind of place where you feel genuinely welcomed and leave satisfied. Highly recommended for both the quality of the food and service.

Food was okay. I tried the kimchi fried rice. The mango shake was sweet. Spacious space, and well lit. They have wifi but it’s a bit unstable.

Came here during typhoon Tino and it was a great way to get out of the house and enjoy the afternoon in a cozy place. Delicious coffees. Friendly and efficient staff. Good wifi. A nice stop on your way to Alona town!
