Coffee store
Cafe Sia & Siaway is a charming spot on the Isle of Skye, offering a delightful menu featuring wood-fired pizzas, bistro dishes, and traditional British breakfast options. The cafe takes pride in its artisanal coffee, which is roasted in-house using drum-fire methods. In addition to their exceptional coffee selection, they also serve locally roasted artisan teas and an array of freshly made pizzas from a Tuscan wood-fired oven.
These pizza's are amazing, cooked perfectly in a stone bake oven using locally sourced wood. The smell walking in is heavenly, watching the pizza being made was great, also just enough time to squeeze in a glass of delightful whiskey whilst the pizza cooks.

Sometimes, when one bites into a slice of pizza, one doesn’t merely taste cheese or sauce, one confronts the mysteries of existence itself. Your kind words reached us like a message slipped under the door of an unknown bureaucracy of flavor confirming that, perhaps, our humble oven does whisper truths in tomato and smoke. The crust, imperfect yet persistent; the cheese, molten yet merciful together they strive, as we all do, to make sense of this strange, delicious world. Thank you kindly from Australia, New Zealand and Germany.
Charlotte M — Google review
Great food, including gluten free pizza! Which is not amazing but still good enough to enjoy. The staff is very friendly, with a good taste in music, which volume is not too loud. Great place if you need some comfort food and a happy stomach.

If you like meat, order the Deamhan pizza. And thank me later. I added feta & basil oil and it was next level. Easily the best pizza I’ve had outside of Italy. The special cocktail (Limoncello Sunrise) was lovely and really well priced. Service staff were super cool too, we really felt at home here. Don’t miss this place, the 4.3 rating is a lie!
C — Google review
Stoped at Gin Distillery located beside restaurant and popped in for quick bite. Pleasantly surprised by an outstanding meal all around. Great soup specials and wow. Loved the Pesto Ravioli on the special board. Five star meal in an unassuming road house.
Bill S — Google review
I was expecting more based on the reviews. The pizza crust had a limp mealy texture and was a bit soggy, not the crisp chewy texture you want from wood fired. The sauce and toppings were good. The soup was pretty good, but overall it wasn’t worth it. The best I can say is that it came out really fast and the people were nice. We won’t be back.
Dory D — Google review
Best food we’ve had while visiting the isle of Skye. The staff were very friendly too. We plan on coming again before our departure 😁

Cafe Arriba is a vibrant and inviting cafe located in Quay Brae, Portree, offering a colorful and uplifting atmosphere with views of Portree Harbour. The cafe prides itself on using locally sourced and fair trade ingredients whenever possible, with a focus on vegetarian dishes and vegan options available upon request. The menu features all-day breakfast options, mouthwatering burgers, healthy salads, creative sandwiches, warm soups, and delectable desserts.
We had breakfast here. It is quite cosy with a scenery view to the sea. If you wait a bit you can take those sits have a good view. The staff were quite friendly and nice.

I wanted to love this place so badly! Our server, Clarice, was a 10! Absolute perfection. Informed. Knowledgeable. Friendly. Enthusiastic. They should be in charge of the whole restaurant. The issue was entirely with the kitchen and their utter lack of knowledge regarding the ingredients in the food they had prepared. One member of our party was a vegetarian who also had a nut allergy. He tried to order the veggie burger, but nobody on the kitchen crew had any idea if the veggie burger patties they prepared had any nuts in them. We were told the chef that prepared those patties had left earlier so there was no way to guarantee it was nut free. Okay.. so he ordered the Lentil Patties instead. Same thing. No one in the kitchen knew if nuts were included that day. Seriously? So, he tried to order a third time. This time he asked for the cauliflower tacos. Poor Clarice had to come back once again and tell us they were not available. At this point, we wanted to leave but because there was a music festival in town, every restaurant was slammed.. so he tried a FOURTH order.. he settled for the nachos. They arrived and were absolute mediocrity. My beef burger had more cheese on it than his order of nachos. It was really upsetting, after everything! And sooo irresponsible. Is there not a standard recipe used when preparing menu items? Do the chefs have total freedom to prepare whatever they want, HOWEVER they want, each and every day? If only one person on staff is informed on what items include allergens and that person leaves early, how can this cafe ever guarantee their food is safe to eat for anyone? If they want to give their chef creative liberties each day, fine. But set the standard on certain items, vegetarian and not, to have never contain major allergens. Get the chef’s phone number so you can call and ASK if they are not present. OR, mind blowing concept apparently, stick to one recipe. OR, have the chef write down the ingredients used in the food they made for that day. It was absolutely ridiculous. Do not recommend. Clarice, however, was perfection.

Ideal for lunch spot. Beer was great, food was good, price was right. It was extremely busy here and had to be patient for food to come out.

A wonderful cafe with a cozy atmosphere with relaxing and chill vibes and a nice place to read a great novel or write a great story. The staff here are very friendly here and even made a couple of recommendations when we didn’t know what to get. The food here is pretty good especially the breakfast which is the speciality that they put most effort into. The Korean chicken with rice is pretty tasty too. The cheese used for the nachos is really good.

Really nice people at this cafe! ☕ I was in a hurry to catch my bus, and they served me the food in no time—super appreciative of that! 🙌 I just wish they had more vegan options. 🌱 Still, a great spot with friendly service

We popped into cafe Arriba with our two dogs and were instantly welcomed in wth the staff paying special attention to our dogs. Other customers/locals were so friendly, had a great chat and laugh with them all. We had coffee, tea, toast and jam and a crispy bacon roll just as ordered..all of it was fantastic. Would have loved to stay all day chatting and eating. Highly recommend a visit.

The charming atmosphere and quirky decor make it a beloved spot among locals. Whether you're looking for an excellent breakfast, delicious coffee, or mouthwatering cakes, this quaint cafe has got you covered.
Charming, eclectic, and so incredibly cozy! We enjoyed a great pot of tea (they even had decaf Earl Grey which I appreciated!) and some lovely soup. This place is a dream on a foggy rainy day!

The Isle of Skye is spoilt for choice when it comes to cafes, bakeries and lunch options, but Bog Myrtle is definitely one of the best. It definitely feels special as soon as you enter and it just gets better from there on in. Service is super friendly and kind. Staff genuinely seem to care about what their customers think and experience. And the food is outstanding. Imaginative and beautifully presented, it also delivers on taste. We had a delicious courgette, pea, mint and lime soup, plus the Scotch Reuben, and the salted caramel doughnut was pure joy!! I'm still dreaming about it now. The interior is interesting and beautifully designed with lots of fascinating areas to relax in. Don't hesitate to visit this lovely cafe with superb staff and a beautiful view. We absolutely loved it.

The seaweed smashed potatoes and Turkish eggs were truly some of the best things we've eaten in Scotland! I also got their latte with Heather honey and it was divine. I cannot recommend this place enough, the cutesy decor, the stunning view the incredible food, and the delectable pastries. Just WOW!!

Incredible place - decor and ambience was so sweet, food delicious, and service lovely. Had a more quiet feeling even through the busy lunch hour. Had the savory porridge — never had something like that before and it was delicious! If there is pavlova when you come you MUST eat it. Especially if you like creamy / light desserts. Actually changed my life. Come here!
Capella Y — Google review
What a dreamy place… the atmosphere is so welcoming and the food looks amazing. I regret arriving here with a full stomach, just for a quick stop. As a local I would spend so much time here, reading, eating, drinking lattes and kombuchas in conversation with friends.

We came here for breakfast within an hour of our engagement at Neist Point Lighthouse. The sheer warmth of the staff was enough to make it worth the stop however our lunch and divine treats made it unforgettable. Please make it a point to stop here on your travels throughout Skye. Truly a gem.

Stunning, quirky little spot for great breakfast, coffee, and sweet treats! Doesn’t look like much from the outside but once inside it’s like being in a cosy living room. Staff are lovely and provided a friendly and efficient service!

Nestled at the base of the Cuillins, Café Cùil is a vibrant spot that stands out with its scarlet-red hut overlooking Loch Harport. Chef Clare Coghills brings her expertise from a popular London café to this remote location in Carbost, Isle of Skye. The modern airy building offers a refreshing change from traditional fare on the island and serves innovative brunch and lunch menus using locally sourced, sustainable produce.
The food was the best I've ever had in a relaxed cafe setting. I couldn't rate it higher! The staff were very friendly and brought our order out super quick. The menu was very unique and quirky whilst providing options to cover a wide palate.

Such a hidden gem! Despite being in a remote spot on the Isle of Skye, this café is full of charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were great too!
Lara C — Google review
A nice place very near the Fairy pools. Had to wait a bit for a table but that was fine, must get very busy on peak months. Service was friendly and prompt. I had coffee and a black pudding dish/stew. Food was very tasty, portion could have been a bit larger. Coffee was ok. Fine with me bringing my dog in.
Dave B — Google review
Wonderful cafe/restaurant. Excellent food with a modern twist. Fantastic flavours and presentation. Coffee and cake afterwards is a must…if you have no room for cake, take it away and have cake later. Friendly staff too who will spend a few minutes chatting even though they are very busy. A must visit on your Skye tour.
GR86 O — Google review
Had a great birthday lunch at café cùil complete with takeaway cake. Food was delicious and staff were attentive and helpful when our first choice wasn't available. That said it looks like anything on the menu is good. Well worth a stop although you may have to queue during busier times. Will definitely return 🙂
Kintail — Google review
Excellent food , had the lamb flatbread, and chicken sandwich, and soup of day . Excellent macchiato. Can get busy after the fairy pools hiking. Maybe a 10 minute wait.
Sri P — Google review
We loved it here and went twice whilst we were on Skye. Once after the fairy ponds as it's super close and then we returned on our last day because the food was excellent. We had the chicken burger, pancakes, baked eggs, beef brisket sandwich, matcha hot & cold and cappuccino. All were really good. Service was great, the staff were lovely. There is disabled parking and plenty of parking for other cars & motorhomes. We went on a weekday and a weekend. It was a lot busier on the weekend. Book ahead if you're a large party. We were just the two of us and they fit us in as a walk in both days. A bit more of a wait on the Sunday. They also have a cute shop you can browse whilst you wait. It's a little gem in Carbost, our favourite place to eat and the only place I could get a match on the island that I found other than the bubble tea shop in portree!
Amie D — Google review
Simply brilliant! Probably the best food I have ever had in a café / lunch style environment. The level of taste and presentation was outstanding. A sweetcorn chowder that we had was thick, nourishing and full of flavour, then the Isle of Skye crab with scrambled egg, kimchi and chilli oil was spectacular and full of depth and a range of flavours. Service was efficient and friendly, without being overbearing. The building is colourful and striking from the outside, and modern with lovely decor inside. If you like good quality food with loads of flavour then get yourself to Cafe Cuil without delay, it's exceptional.

Located just outside Broadford near Breakish, Lean To Coffee is a specialty coffee shop that caters to vegan and vegetarian customers. The cafe is housed in a converted shipping container with outstanding views, architecture, and service. Visitors are drawn to the unique setup and cool decor inside a brick house without windows and doors. The food is described as deliciously hand-made, with the cinnamon roll being highly recommended. This spot is perfect for those who appreciate expertly made specialty coffee and tasty toasties.
These guys know and care about good coffee. The coffee was made to perfection, strong, rich and bang on temperature. One of the best coffee’s I have had, genuinely that good. The homemade cinnamon buns, vanilla buns tasted amazing and homemade scones, muffins were fresh out the oven and bagels looks fresh and very tasty. Really unique quirky seating, a true jewel of Skye. Kudos to the owners and guys running it.

Lean To Cafe, a rustic-vibes cafe nestled along the driveway to Isle of Skye, exudes a charming, deserted atmosphere. The coffee and baked goods are good. While I eagerly anticipated trying the cinnamon bun based on reviews, it was unfortunately sold out. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom toastie I ordered.
Y T — Google review
Pouring rain when we went, but there was enough space in the shelter for us to hideout for a second. It was such a cute, unique little place. The coffee was good (thank you for having syrups 🫶🏼), but the FOOD. I’d eat this toastie every day. Both the cinnamon and vanilla pastries were also to die for.
Kirstin C — Google review
This is a very lovely hole in the wall breakfast spot! Plenty of parking spaces available, and only outdoor seating is available, as they are operating out of a small space. The outdoor seating area is beautifully furnished, and the natural sunlight filtering in just gives the surroundings a tranquil atmosphere. The staff very kindly prepared the Salad Dodger toastie for us even though we ordered before the stipulated available time. It was delicious! The vanilla cream cheese bun was also very delightful and it was like a post-breakfast sweet treat. My partner and I enjoyed our breakfast here and we greatly recommend this place 👍🏼

Great little coffee shop literally on the side of the road! Delicious cappuccinos & grilled cheese sandwiches (toasties), very fudgy brownie. Interesting idea with the open window & door frames. You might get lucky & see the cows walking up the path too.
Özerden S — Google review
Top tier place - came across this while looking for somewhere to stop for breakfast on my way over to Inverness from Portree. Super friendly staff, coffee was good, and the toastie + vanilla bun was phenomenal. A little bit pricey, but understandable given the location, and worth it in my opinion. Absolutely worth a stop here if you're passing on a day they're open.
Jacob S — Google review
Absolutely loved this cafe and it’s a must visit when on Skye. The vibe was so cool, staff friendly and the pastries incredible. The vanilla bun was 10/10 and the cherry chocolate muffin was excellent too. Would go back to Skye just for this cafe. It’s pricy but same as Gla/Edi prices really, but the quality is so worth it for a wee treat for the road.

A claim I don’t make lightly - but this might be the best cafe on earth. The coffee is a coffee nerds delight. Heady extractions and a variety of beans. The food is sublime. Delicious pastries and beautiful prepared meals. The service is quick and friendly. … And they have a toilet.

Absolutely delicious spot!!!! The staff is incredibly nice and the food is of superb quality. Definitely the yummiest breakfast in Skye. The menu is limited but everything is delicious. They have a big variety of pastries, sweet and savory! We got: - almond milk Cappuccino 100/10 - overnight oats 1000/10 - scrambled eggs plain with sourdough (I thought 8£ was too much for just eggs but the portion is BIG and the eggs are cooked marvelously) - leek and cheese danish 1000/10 - banana bread 110/10

This is one of the earliest operating cafes in the area, and they roast their own beans. The aesthetic and service are nice, but they have relatively short staff for the morning rush. We had their takeaway coffee, and it was bitter for the latte and flat white

I could have chosen and been happy with many things on the menu but I had the Butternut Squash soup and a little pistachio tart (GF) and they were both so tasty. The soup was dairy free as well as it has coconut milk to give it the creamy texture. Yummm!

fluffy and chewy focaccia paired with unique dips (spiced eggplant, green goddess), nice tangy tomato soup with sourdough, great bakes, only letdown was the coffee which was slightly burnt and sour

I had breakfast at Birch Cafe on a Monday and got there right at 8 am. There was already a line and some tables were taken. We were able to grab two seats but it was steadily busy and full until 8:30 am. There are a lot of coffee drinks, pastries, and sweet and savory breakfast items to order. We got a cappuccino, mocha, sourdough with scrambled eggs and chorizo, focaccia with house made hummus, and a bunch of pastries. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was great. This is a worthwhile stop in Portree.

The Waterside Cafe Bistro in Dunvegan, Isle of Skye, is a charming European-style cafe known for its good food and welcoming staff. It's a popular spot among locals and visitors alike. Situated in a picturesque location, the bistro offers a delightful dining experience with its European and British cuisine. Whether you're looking for a relaxing meal or a quick bite, this cafe is worth considering during your visit to Dunvegan.
Great wee place. Very suitable for those on a walking holiday as parking is limited. Fantastic choice on the menu, which is supplemented by a ‘specials’ board which again, has a surprising number of options. There is inside and outside seating (weather dependent!) There are snack and ‘main meal’ options. Prices are fair, in my opinion. If there is a rush of customers, then the table service, understandably, can be a bit slow - but definitely worth the wait. The food presentation is very attractive and everything appears very fresh. This is our second visit and it will be a regular stop on subsequent visits to Skye. Staff are kind and helpful and friendly. As a couple, we were delighted with our meals.

Intended to eat at other restaurant but saw it while refueling, so decided to give it a chance. Food was unexpectedly delicious! The lady for sure knows home cooking really well. Dish served doesn’t look super fancy or difficult, but delicious as simple as it is or should be! Even boiled potatoes are very tasty. I finished all the food with nothing left at all.

Hidden gem - we picked up veggie curry & sticky toffee pudding late evening around their closing time. They graciously took our order & packed it up neatly. For it being a gas station adjacent cafe, the food was quite good actually. Sticky toffee pudding was lovely.

Very nice family-run business with delicious food. Don’t be fooled by the „simple“ looks and the location next to the gas station. Thank you for a great evening. Just what we craved!

Relish is a cafe in Portree that offers great food and drinks, as well as a range of cakes, pastries and coffees. It is popular with tourists, who enjoy the quirky atmosphere and friendly service. The cafe currently has some toilets that are not functioning, but this does not affect the overall experience.
The place is well located near the center. They have both sit in and take out. Staff is helpful and kind. We ordered both soups of the day, which were chicken and rice soup, and sweet potato and coconut soup. The sweet potato soup was so good we ordered the second bowl. Good quick lunch!

Exceptionally friendly staff and a great range of gluten-free options. The fish and chips were outstanding—crispy, flavorful, and generously portioned. A must-visit spot if you're in town!

We stopped here while on a tour of the Isle of Skye. While we were in Portree, a cruise ship was also ported there, so the city was very busy. You couldn't get into most places or at least not in a timely manner when on a tour. Relish was one of the few places we could get in. It's an interesting restaurant in that you order downstairs, then they have cameras upstairs to tell them if seats are available, and if so, which table you can claim. From a service perspective, they were so busy there wasn't a ton of time for banter. That's not to say they weren't friendly, but they were just taking orders, seating people, and cleaning up. For lunch, I ordered the venison burger minus the black pudding. It was good, but the texture was a little odd, a little soft. I don't eat venison often, so maybe that's normal. Flavor was decent, but not the best burger I've had. My wife had chicken noodle soup, which she described as just ok, and a bland piece of bread.

Great coffee, had a sausage roll and a Bakewell slice both were lovely. Staff happy and friendly. If you are visiting Portree I highly recommend this place.

Great place for a proper hearty breakfast. All of the meat tasted like it was high quality.

Had a sit in breakfast today and unfortunately very unimpressed. Service was not the best especially when ordering at the till, drinks order was wrong and when the full breakfast arrived it was very small plus the sausage and bacon looked barely cooked. For £12 for a full breakfast it was very disappointing and felt like a rip off. My boyfriend did not finish his breakfast so we will not be back. There must be way better places to have a breakfast in the centre of Portree that are better value for money.

Stumbled upon this place and found a goldmine, the service was super quick and staff are friendly. The food was excellent and the place has a cozy vibe. Will definitely return whenever I’m in skye.

Glenbrittle Campsite & Cafe is a peaceful waterfront camping spot with a cafe, laundry facilities, and showers, offering stunning views of the mountains and sea. It serves as an excellent base for hikers with various nearby trails leading to peaks, Eas Mor Waterfall, and the Fairy Pools. Situated on the west coast at the foot of Cuillin mountains and Loch Brittle beach, it features its own coffee shop called Cuillin Coffee that provides freshly baked goods and specialty coffee.
We stayed here for a week with my wife, farther in law and two dogs. A beautiful campsite that looks out to the sea with a great view of the Cuilins. We found it a great location to get onto the ridge as well as to relax on the beach. With no phone signal, this was the best place to relax and enjoy a may half term holiday. It is always worth bearing in mind the weather and Midges of Scotland (which the campsite can't control!) do need to be planned and factored in when visiting this campsite.

A wonderful campsite between the mountains and on a beach. Staff super amazing, available to help you with everything. Suggestion ; in the morning the coffee queue is really really long, try to be there at 8. You’ll thank me later 👋

Excellent location but quite tricky to navigate the windy roads in a Moho. Within walking distance of the superb Fairy Pools. So picturesque. Cafe and shop, although small, is excellent. Nice range of drinks, cakes and food. Staff were really friendly and helpful also. Only down side was that the shower/toilet facilities need updating to accommodate such a busy site. Overall an enjoyable stay and would return.

Probably the weakest campsite we stayed at during our two weeks in Scotland. The location itself is beautiful – set among the mountains and right on the bay – but that’s where the positives end. The site is overcrowded, with pitches crammed far too close together, and the sanitary facilities are completely inadequate for the number of guests. The drinking water has a coloured, peaty tinge to it, so we preferred not to drink it. Internal roads are poorly maintained, and the grass is left to grow high, only flattened by people walking over it – it seems it hasn’t been mown in ages. The reception area looks nice and the receptionist was very friendly, but unfortunately that alone can’t make up for the overall disappointing experience.

We brought our Motorhome here for one and night and were extremely disappointed at the lack of decent facilities on this sight. No phone signal. No wifi. I totally understand the concept of “getting away from it all” but you should still be able to get a phone signal to call and make sure people are ok back home. They had one toilet block with Showers which were a great distance from the pitches. This caused us some problems as my mum has mobility issues. The pitches and the road into the sight were extremely unkept. The grass was growing wild, and The potholes were an absolute disgrace. Extremely expensive motorhomes being taken into this sight are at risk of damage. I would discourage anyone taking a motorhome here until the road gets fixed. The facilities are poor, with one shop/cafe open till 7pm. It’s extremely remote and the roads in are all passing places so you need plenty of patience. I would recommend or come back. When I compare the cost of this site at £72.00 and the cost of other sites being almost half with better facilities, we were ripped off.

Really lovely camp spot! We stayed for one night in our campervan. The campsite is really beautiful, although it is pretty much in the middle of nowhere (also no phone reception). It’s close to the Fairy Pools and a lot of hikes start there as well. The facilities are deep-cleaned twice a day and really good. There is a cafe and little shop on site with all necessities. You can also eat pizza or soup in the evening, or order some freshly baked bread in the morning (pizza and bread were both really good). The staff was really nice and friendly and made us feel welcome the second we stepped into the reception. The pricing was also fine. We had a nice time there and I would definitely recommend it!

Great Campsite in a fantastic location. Stayed here the first weekend in September, it was busy but there was still plenty of room to set up. Ideal location if you are here to climb some of the spectacular mountains or for a visit to the Fairy Pools. Weather was mixed while I was there but it was still a great place to relax. Coffee shop is well stocked and serves great coffee and some camping bits and pieces that you might have forgotten to bring with you. Toilet and shower area is cleaned early afternoon and again in the evening.

Absolutely beautiful place, it almost seems unreal. Lovely beach and great hikes in the area. The air is incredible. No phone reception, it was perfect. I will be back!

The Highland Cow Shop is a delightful gem nestled in the charming town of Portree, Scotland. This cozy café offers a warm and inviting atmosphere where visitors can enjoy delicious treats like hot chocolate, sausage rolls, and an array of mouthwatering brownies—especially the triple chocolate variety! The friendly staff ensures that every guest feels welcome, including furry companions who are treated with love and tasty snacks.
A very interesting and cozy little place where you can get highland souvenirs as well as tasty bites to eat. We loved the atmosphere and can highly recommend a short stop here if you would just like something small to have a quick bite.

Even though I didn’t grab any food here since they were about 20 min from closing - it was still a positive experience for me. The coffee was pretty good and so was the service of the staff. The merchandise is really cute and unique if you’re a big highlands cow person.

Great little shop to drop into. Its kind of a gift and coffee shop in one. I had a Haggis Pie which was great! The coffees are obviously made with care and love and the service is spot on. Its a pretty relaxed atmosphere with people doing study on laptops, just sitting back to enjoy a brew. Lots of coo stuff like magnets, towels coo teddy's. Recommend a visit.

Very tasty carrot coconut chilli soup ( with bread £4.50) and one of the best flat whites I’ve had in recent times (£3.50). Very friendly, busy but quick service. Dogs welcome ( dog biscuit and water brought to our table without asking 🤗. Highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere, but food was average. Their chowder had a lot of onion and almost no fish notes. Scones were plain. I would recommend trying something else if you decide to have some food here.

Lovely little cafe in Portree. Looks small from the outside but very spacious inside. Seating area to consume food and coffee or takeaway is available. Lots of lovely unique Scottish based gifts. Staff very friendly and helpful. Coffee was delicious and reasonably priced. Brownies were so good too. Highly recommend.

Great little shop, made amazing coffee and cake with very welcoming and friendly staff. The vibe is really cozy and cute with lots of little highland cow items scattered throughout the venue, hence the name. A must see little venue if you’re up in the isle of skye.
