Cafe
Nestled in the charming Piazza Giulio Beverini, Caffè Centrale is a delightful spot that beckons both locals and travelers with its inviting outdoor seating. This café is perfect for sipping on a creamy cappuccino or indulging in their famous crema di caffe while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of the square—ideal for some leisurely people-watching. The ambiance here is relaxed, making it an excellent choice to unwind after exploring the area.
Beautiful spot, great for a drink after the train station. Ricky was very friendly and nice. Fantastic English. Great service music and drinks. Well priced! Would come back again.

Wonderful service! The waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful – he recommended a few drinks that turned out to be absolutely perfect. You could tell he really knew what he was talking about and tailored his suggestions to our tastes. He definitely made the evening even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place – both for the atmosphere and the top-notch service! Thank you Ricky! #CaipirosskaGirls

One of the best cocktail joints in La Spezia. Thanks to Ricky for very amazing service and recommendations! Good drinks, food and music😊

Huge drink selection between €6-10, offered a snack platter for 2 at €5. They also serve a small bowl of chips along with your drinks. Good bar to enjoy some drinks with your friends.

Was not expecting the croissant to look like this but it was delicious!! Cappuccino was very tasty as well. 3.50€ total
Samantha ( — Google review
I honestly only like to post positive reviews. After 50+ meals in Italy in the last 3 weeks. This was by far the worst. Caprese salad with no basil…. How do you offer a 3 ingredient salad with only 2?? And no explanation or apology. And the Cotoletta was straight out of the microwave. Didn’t finish either dish, paid and left. Don’t even bother. Just an ordinary cafe at a minimum.
Kara B — Google review
Out here visiting from Chicago. Stopped by as we are waiting on or Air B and B. Probably the best Lasagna that I had thus far since we’ve been out here. The Pizza and Pesto Pasta was delicious. They sat us right away and we had a party of 8. The focaccia wasn’t the greatest the meat had a very strong taste but if I didn’t get that would’ve been a 5 star food experience.

Coffee shop
Pastry Cafe Dolci Magie in La Spezia is a lovely dessert shop located in the central area. It offers a wide variety of desserts and cakes, along with a selection of nice tea and coffee. The cafe is known for its afternoon tea package, which includes 5 mini pastries and a drink at a reasonable price. Visitors praise the freshness and uniqueness of the pastries, cakes, and other products offered here.
A sleek, modern pasticceria that immediately impresses with its stunning pastry mignon display-rows of vibrant, artful bites that pull you in at the door. I tried the Rum Baba, Tiramisu, Strawberry Cheesecake, and a breathtaking Panna Cotta with Raspberry Confit-I could've eaten a dozen of that one alone. The Zeppole di San Giuseppe was phenomenal: crisp shell, rich cream, and just the right touch of sweetness. Every detail here feels intentional and refined. An essential stop for pastry lovers in La Spezia.

A very special and nice discovery during our foodie stay in Spezia. Good coffee, and great baci di dama, small delicious italian tarts : tortina della nonna. The street foodies would definitely go back there !!
The F — Google review
Pastry Cafe Dolci Magie in La Spezia was a delightful discovery, made even sweeter thanks to the lovely apartment we were staying at, which gifted us vouchers for croissants 🥐 and coffee, or orange juice. What a brilliant way to start the day! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was inviting, the display cabinets were filled with exquisite pastries, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee was simply irresistible. Our croissants were buttery, golden, and perfectly flaky—hands down some of the best we’ve had in Italy. Paired with a smooth, creamy cappuccino, it was the kind of breakfast that makes you stop and savour every bite. We couldn’t resist trying more from their selection, and we’re so glad we did—the tiramisu was luscious and well-balanced, and their delicate pastry horns (cannoncini) were filled with silky custard and just the right amount of sweetness. What made the experience truly special was the warm, genuine service. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. Whether you’re sitting inside or enjoying the outdoor tables with a view of the charming La Spezia street life, there’s a relaxed, joyful vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer. Thanks to our apartment’s thoughtful gesture, we got to experience a local treasure—and we would return in a heartbeat. Dolci Magie is not just a café; it’s a little moment of magic.
Richard T — Google review
Great croissants (we tried pistachio, crema, nutella) and good coffee. Friendly service. Yet strange 20% extra charge to eat by the table, added on top of the bill.
Pawel K — Google review
Pastry Café Dolci Magie is a hidden gem in La Spezia! The Nutella and jelly-filled croissants were soft, flaky, and bursting with flavor, while the lemon meringue pastry was perfectly sweet and tangy. I didn’t get photos—I was on the go—but the treats were so good, I still can’t stop thinking about them! Mouth watering and delightful pastries.
Fred S — Google review
Tons of pastry to enjoy with a cup of cappuccino. I tried the cornetto with jam and it was amazing. Its a great way to start the day.
Chalisa N — Google review
I tried the croissant a la nocciola and it was amaaaazing. Crunchy, tasty and buttery. They have other flavors as well. The espresso was good but for my taste could be better.

Espresso bar
Bar
C'est Bon is a charming bar in Italy that offers a delightful experience reminiscent of the 'Pret A Manger' concept. The service is cheerful and efficient, adding to the overall enjoyment. The top-notch products include creamy-filled cornetto with a fresh taste. It's conveniently located near the train station and offers fantastic chocolate croissants, coffee, and OJ for breakfast. This typical espresso bar serves freshly baked croissants and good coffee in the morning, with quick and friendly service.
Was hungry while waiting for the train and walk around to look for a cafe. It was 11am when I visited and asked for a macchiato and cornetto. The owner went back to the kitchen and fetch one for me. It was warm and comforting, service was great too from the waitress. Lovely end to a visit at LaSpezia.
Armon H — Google review
I had a soy cappuccino, which wasn’t the best—the flavor was a bit weak and could have been stronger. Nevertheless, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
Dania — Google review
I had a wonderful experience at this charming bar (in Italy, 'bars' are not a drinking place, it’s like a coffee shop, serving breakfast and lunch and sometimes even dinner) in Italy that reminded me of the 'Pret A Manger' concept. The service was cheerful and quick, which added to the overall enjoyment. The products they offered were top-notch, and I particularly loved the creamy filling in my cornetto, which still had a fresh taste despite possibly not being from today. The coffee was good, surpassing what I've had in the UK, and the best part was the price – only 5.2€ for two cappuccini and two cornetti alla crema! I'm definitely coming back for breakfast! Highly recommended.
Maurizio V — Google review
It's a typical espresso bar with a quick coffee and a croissant in the morning. Croissants are freshly baked, coffee is ok, fruit salad was not the best (stored in the fridge overnight), panino was ok as well. Service is quick and nice, toilet was out of service.
Aneta — Google review
Great place to chill before your train, and free wifi as a big bonus! Friendly efficient and accomodating staff, good coffee 👌🏽 Not sure about the food as they didn’t have what I wanted, I only had a pastry but it was acceptable. Recommend :)
B K — Google review
Very cool place to take a typical italian breakfast before your day at La Spezia or in the Cinque Terre !
Joss A — Google review
Sounds like a cozy little spot in the city! 🏙️ Those French-style croissants must be to die for, and a good cup of coffee can really hit the spot. I'll definitely keep this cafe in mind for my next visit. ☕🥐
Volkan D — Google review
Humble espresso bar with a small patio near the train station. Pastries and coffee are good, especially the cappuccino. Pastries are typically Italian and sweet. If you stay in Affittacamere Casa Dane, your breakfast service will be here.

This place is definitely underrated. Finding specialty coffee in Italy is mission impossible, yet you find this coffee shop in La Spezia. V60 test successfully passed, cappuccino test successfully passed. The sandwiches are also very good and the staff so kind and helpful. Big like!
Ronaldina R — Google review
I saw a recommendation online bout this café, so I went. This was even better than what I could imagine. I have never had a croissant that is that fluffy and delicious. It was the perfect Italian pastry. And since I am a musician, to have a music clef on my cappuccino, was magical. And on top of that, the cappuccino is perfectly brewed and tasted absolutely delicious. The orange juice was freshly squeezed. And these three items are part of the Italian breakfast as you can see on the menu. Oh, and that only came out to be 8 euros. I also got the lavender cappuccino. That was definitely different and interesting but I think I prefer my normal cappuccino. The café itself is super cute. I sat outside. There is a bar area also. I presume lunch and dinner would be wonderful as well. I highly highly recommend this place.
Wendy L — Google review
We came for breakfast on a monday morning, got toasts and fresh red orange juice. It was for 10 euros, but really tasty. The only disadvantage was the cold space.

(Translated by Google) A nice and welcoming place, in a modern style, offering a large variety of products and dishes for both breakfast and lunch. Good food, not high prices, fast service even during peak hours, thanks to the staff who are always friendly and attentive to customer needs. It's a shame, however, that in recent years it has lost some of its luster. Super friendly staff and delicious coffee…. Just remember: order a “latte” and you’ll get a plain glass of milk… so ask for a ‘caffè latte’ or ‘latte macchiato’ if you actually want coffee! ;) ;)
Aleksandra M — Google review
DO NOT EAT THERE. Horrible food, it is frozen food from the supermarket and then heated. But barely, as the past was raw. Even the salad was terrible. The aperol spritz was the worst one I ever had. Save yourself some money and time and do not go there, even if it is the only place open. Not even the pigeons could eat the bread served with the salad. They do say in their menu that it is frozen, however very small and not that it is supermarket food.
Beatriz — Google review
I normally don’t leave reviews, but my experience here was incredibly disappointing. I walked in and politely asked for a latte. Instead of simply taking the order, the man behind the counter responded rudely with, “What do you mean?” My fiancé clarified by asking if they sold lattes, and the employee said, “I make lattes, not sell lattes,” in a very condescending tone. Rather than just serving the drink or explaining, he continued making unnecessary comments and insults. Even as we decided to leave, he was still talking negatively as we walked out the door. As someone visiting from America, I understand cultural differences — but basic kindness and respect are universal. No customer should be treated with sarcasm and hostility for simply ordering a coffee especially in a very touristy area! There are plenty of other cafés with friendly service, so I would not recommend this place.
Chrissy — Google review
The food is deepfreezed. The mojito is awzfull. Only positive is that they give generous amounts of alcohol in the drinks!

Absolutely amazing cafe. The Chocolate cornetti are to die for and the coffee is good! Prices are also very fair. I would like to thank the lady working there (not sure if she was the owner), who found and kept safe, my ipad, which i had left behind and returned two days later to retrieve it. I can't express how grateful I am to her. She is a good soul and this cafe feels so warm and welcoming because of her. (The fresh cornetti are amazing though, really. You must try them!) Grazie Mille

To my opinion the best cappucino I have had in Italy during my trip-a light, airy and creamy foam with a slight bitterness. I had a set that included coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, and a croissant with cream - simply excellent, and the atmosphere of tranquility and seclusion inside is also very valuable.

Awesome place with awesome food, literally saved our rainy morning! They offer many many many different dishes, that all looked super good. The drinks and the cocktails are great too, and can be customized for specific dietary requirements or preference (almond milk for example). We had the eggs Benedict and the home made waffles, both were fantastic. The venue is huge and very well decorated, which gives a great mood to the place. The waiters were kind and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. I definitely recommend!

Good snacks and coffee. Fast, self ordering machines. Sometimes hard to find a clean vacant table to sit. Mostly frequented by locals.

Loved the pasta and sandwiches. But the caffe crème was even better…. Creamy and flavorful! All thought better than Gelato!

The bar is big and student friendly. You can even have a mini graduation lunch there without obstructing others. Awesome!

(Translated by Google) Genuine, simple and tasty! I've eaten here for both lunch and dinner and it's perfect for both occasions! Behind the dishes offered you can sense that there is experience and love for cooking. I am a vegetarian and there is always something new to try, but you can also find vegan alternatives! The atmosphere is convivial and the staff are friendly and helpful, excellent value for money!!! We really needed a little place like this in Spezia, especially for lunch!! (Original) Genuino, semplice e gustoso!

Unfortunetly food wasn’t good - microvawed, cheewy, tasteless. Nice staff - only reason for 2 stars

(Translated by Google) Restaurants like this are really convenient. You can eat inside, but it's really convenient to be able to point at the side dishes and buy them to take home. We sat down for lunch and everything was delicious. The portions were big and the prices were reasonable. I was surprised at how good the red wine by the glass was. This might be a great option if you're traveling and want to eat something leisurely in your hotel room.

(Translated by Google) Fantastic experience, all 5 senses stimulated: It starts with the sense of smell, as soon as you enter a good scent envelops you; hearing: the staff at the counter (two girls who seem like your friends forever) interacting with customers; the view: a culinary wonder on display, which fills you up just by looking at it, but you would like to try everything! Touch: certain delicacies trigger primordial instincts in you and, if you want, you can eat with your hands; taste: here it reigns supreme. How much does it cost: very little! Well done guys, keep it up! Quanto costa: veramente poco! Bravi ragazzi, continuate cosi!

We had breakfast here before catching our train to explore the surrounding areas. We ordered a smoothie (the one with berries and coconut), a frittata, a toast with egg and mushrooms, and a lavender syrup cappuccino. Everything was delicious. We sat on the terrace, enjoying the sunshine and a truly tasty breakfast. The café's proximity to the train station makes it a great choice for travel days.

There’s no better place for brunch in La Spezia! Everything about Ciao Baby is perfect - the sunny vibey outdoor seating, the incredible iced lattes, the sweet staff, and the breakfast dishes of my dreams. I could eat their gorgeous fruit & yogurt bowl every day. It’s super conveniently located next to the train station and is the perfect peaceful place to hang alone/work or catch up with friends. All of their ingredients are top notch. I came here every morning on my trip. Run, don’t walk!

Great place, we went to breakfast there every day Portions are good and taste amazing The girl in the place is very nice and welcoming Highly recommend
Kamar K — Google review
The perfect brunch spot for a sunny Friday in La Spezia. Their private outdoor seating area was peaceful and ideal for a mid-morning pause. I had the Uova in Purgatorio; two eggs baked in a spicy tomato sauce with feta, yogurt, herbs, and just the right kick of chili. The Eden smoothie (banana, mango, pineapple juice) was bright and refreshing, and the Golosa bowl-with Greek yogurt, homemade granola, seasonal fruit, chocolate, hazelnuts, and house lavender honey-was a work of art. Flavorful, thoughtful, and beautifully done.

Great brunch menu! The avocado toast was amazing! The waffles were fluffy and had fresh strawberries on! The staff were very friendly. The only downside is the size of the kitchen, so be prepared to wait for your food a little longer.
Lizi J — Google review
BEST BRUNCH EVER!!! I had the chocolate waffle, Salmon walffle, marble pound cake, smoothies and iced lavender latter. We spent the morning in La Spezia before going to Cinque Terre and then came back to Ciao Baby for three breakfasts in a row.

We stumbled upon this shop for a simple coffee & pastry and found amazing and creative croissants like I had never seen. They were fully loaded and delicious. The owner was lovely and very kind to us, honoured a misunderstanding due to language gap and was eager we to fix my coffee. We had a lovely time here, would go again.

(Translated by Google) My son and I visited Slurp at Via Fratelli Rosselli 47 and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed a warm Nutella crepe and a soft donut, both delicious. The staff was very kind and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. We also discovered their delicious croissants: the Kinder Bueno Cornetto, with Kinder cream, chopped Oreos, and hazelnuts, is a real treat! They also offer Twix, Tronky, and Happy Hippo options, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Perfect for a sweet break any time of day. We'll definitely be back to try other treats!
