Nikos the bartender is the man! A civil engineer by trade who found his calling in bartending. And it shows : drinking here with him was like being taken in a journey by such a soft spoken and humble person. I came to this bar two nights in a row while in Volos! It's in a street lined with other bars. The vibe just spoke to me. I sat down at the bar and Nikos seemed like such a warm and thoughtful dude. The place just has a great festive vibe to it! With lots of beautiful 😻 people, Volos style. Dig. On both occasions, Friday and Saturday night 🌉, there was a DJ playing (Afro) House music 🎵🎶. Ok, the music was a bit loud at the bar, but hey... it's a bar on weekend nights...The lighting is dim, which gives it a speak easy vibe. They have plenty of tables inside and outside if you want a sit down kind of vibe. From what I could see, they also serve bar kinda food. I saw a few burgers floating around. The place just feels put together man, so to say. On both nights there was a person who looks like their job, like an eagle 🦅, was to survey the place and make sure everything is smooth ☺️. I tried many cocktails: The Traveler, 50/50 Margarita, Green 💚 Tonic, the Pearhattan, a Penicillin and a Mezcal Negrori. All hits to me, especially number 1 (gingeryyy) and 4. I liked that their cocktails weren't too sweet🍸. Shout out to Giannis, too! The man with the backwards baseball cap! In Volos, with YOU 😋🥰🙏🏿.

Cocktails are really good, quality ingredients. Atmosphere is lively, stuff is wonderful and friendly. We recommend mister bombastic and black widow!

Really tasty cocktails, service was great although the place was crowded. Prices are usual for that kind of place. It was live, full of young people. That whole area was full of bars and coffee shops, full of people, ideal for relaxed night out in Volos.

The Art Café is a fantastic cafe just a few steps away from the center. Besides beautiful views of Volos from the terrace you have a very friendly service, delicious desserts, and great coffee. The location is unique and a must when visiting Volos.

Nice and cozy interior with a fireplace. Few tables though. On the other hand, there are plenty of tables outside, which have a magical view. The staff very kind.

Exquisite black tee, served in the right temperature. Fine smooth jazz music in the background. And wonderful decorations from old Vienna chairs hanging from the ceiling, a trumpet above the fire place and an art collection on the wallets(for sale).

Evan, in particular, was very kind and gave us great advice on what to visit in the area. The terrace is located just half a meter from the sea and the beach—an unbeatable spot! You can enjoy a coffee, lunch, or a snack, and then go for a swim right there. A perfect mix of relaxation, stunning views, and warm hospitality. Great set up!!

Nice staff and creaps, they where filled with a reasonable amount of filling. Dint have to wait too long to get the food. Around 10-15 € with drinks. Wasnt that full of people when i came, but there are plenty of places to sit, so I cant imagine finding a table to be that hard.

I had a traditional Greek ekmek and a tiramisu , they were both exceptional. Their fruit sorbet drinks were very refreshing, the strawberry daiquirie that I ordered was top notch. Loved the service with a smile as well. A very friendly family business. Will definitely be visiting again. Well done Alfa!

Interior is really nice, immediately you notice that this place is with higher quality. Food was tasty, but don't expect cheap prices, they are a bit expensive. From one side staff is polite and helpful and even translated menu as it isn't in English. From other hand you have to wait a lot: to get food, to get receipt, to pay etc. As we were sat in the middle of place we sometimes felt like in public transport - waiters and waitresses all the time passed us very close, so we didn't feel even a bit private.

I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others. I ordered a tiramisu from this place, and what I received was frankly deceptive. The packaging was decorated with a layer of cream on the outside of the container, giving the illusion of a rich, creamy dessert. But once opened, there was no cream inside—just plain sponge. It felt like a cheap trick to mislead customers visually. Worse still, I had their cheesecake on another occasion—shortly after the restaurant had experienced a blackout that disrupted their refrigeration. I wasn’t informed of this when purchasing the dessert. When I got home, the cheesecake tasted off. Later, I felt sick. I called them to raise concerns about potential spoilage or even risk of salmonella. All they did was ask if I had any “other symptoms.” No apology, no refund, no real concern. I never received follow-up or assurance that affected items had been removed. Food safety should never be taken lightly. Deceptive presentation and lack of responsibility for spoiled products make me question their hygiene standards and ethics. I won't be returning—and I hope others approach with caution.

Great gluten-free store-café in Volos. My kids loved the pancakes with Nutella for breakfast, and we stocked up on snacks and treats to take on our trip. Everything was clearly gluten-free and safe.

New vegan restaurant near Syntagma Sq. Gluten free and all vegan. No refined sugar in anything. Very friendly staff. Will go back here. Desserts are amazing and very mildly sweetened.

Try the coconut sticks!! Amazing!! Can’t believe there is no sugar or dairy!! All vegan! As someone who is lactose intolerant you usually have to compromise taste but this owner managed to create a an explosion of flavor for those on the other side!

I'm staying for 3 days in Volos and I searched for a place that had healthy vegan options. I didnt expect to find anything, but oh wow was I wrong. ANTHEMA has been a wonderful experience. So much so that I had lunch there and I went back for dinner. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. (Popi, Konstantina, Marinos and everyone else). I tried the burritos, the tacos, a salad and some juices. Everything was incredible. Without a doubt I openly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Its healthy, high quality, DELICIOUS food, at very good prices. Thank you! I'll be back tomorrow ;)

While looking for a cocktail bar in Volos we bumped into this lovely place. Cocktails are extremely well made (I would recommend the Mediterraneo which is one of their signature cocktails), service is professional and friendly, the atmosphere is nice and relaxing and prices are pretty good too. Highly recommend

Very cute small cafe/bar, colorful and nicely decorated. The coffee was nice , and our kids enjoyed the chocolate pancake. We visited it on a Wednesday evening on August, when most of the commercial shops were closed and the place was peaceful and relaxing. Service was kind and fast.

Disappointed. As always, this review is based on my own personal experience. It may be different for others. So, we went to the Black Swan in search of an English breakfast … after all, they advertised it. We were expecting what was shown on the menu (see photo) but were served a tepid dish of a cheese toastie, cold ham, frankfurter sausage and eggs. Again, as shown on the menu, we at least expected the baked beans but instead, we were served with cold kidney beans! When I enquired about the baked beans we simply received the reply: “Yes. Those are red.” - No idea what that meant?? The menu also stipulated that you got orange juice plus tea,coffee, or milk included in the “special” breakfast. As it turned out, we couldn’t have tea unless we paid more and the orange juice wasn’t even brought, being replaced instead, with 2 glasses of tap water. The kicker came when I asked for Ketchup. I was presented with a small bowl of it and an extra bill for €0.50. Not extortionate I know, but highly unexpected that one had to pay for a condiment. The service at the Black Swan was - at best - merely a means to get the food from the kitchen to us. There is little interaction or pleasantries here. If they were busy, I might have been unsurprised by the abruptness … after all, servers work hard … but from the photo, you will see that it wasn’t busy at all. Little surprise, if the food is anything to go by. So, in conclusion, given the information above, I cannot possibly award the Black Swan anymore than a one star. In times of reduced tourism and economic instability, I would expect eateries like this to step up their game to encourage people to return but the experience here has only encouraged me to NOT recommend the Black Swan, Volos. Such a shame.

Easily the worst coffee we've had during our entire trip in Greece. Tried the Fredocappicino, frappe, and something else and all tasted like barely flavored dirty water.
