This was a nice, good sized Pret in the busy Lakeside Mall. I got a nice Chai Latte, cinnamon roll and a lovely beef and gherkin sandwich. The sandwich was so good. Savoury and sour, just the way I like it! The Chai latte was not bad. And the cinnamon roll was soft and delicious. My friend enjoyed his meal too.

I ask for espresso to have to have inn . Told them twice and i was given to takeaway. I ask to be charged and given fresh one but she just pour it in different cup for inn . If you are espresso coffee lover you will now that that way the coffee's golden top disappears and you get black coffee. And that was not the new employee who did it. Pret if you are selling coffee teach your staf about coffee.

It was a pleasure to have Barrista Ahmed suggest the perfect coffee, cookies, and desserts for us. I can certainly envision this enthusiastic young man becoming a manager here someday. He is remarkably sharp and focused. Thank you, Ahmed.

Had a wonderful morning coffee here. Was going to go to Costa but was not open yet. So glad we came here instead. The service was really quick and staff so friendly. There's a great selection if cakes and light lunches as well of drinks if course. The dark chocolate brownie was absolutely delicious!

5 stars for everything except management. I don't write reviews often but this took the cake, what i noticed was the manager consistently micromanaging the employees and staring around like a CCTV. The better half of 2 dacades ago I was once a barista in Italy, if I had been told how to do my job like that I would have got up and left! Frankly, this is not how you manage your employees. One thing that I hate in this industry is micromanagers. It seems rather petty - but it's uncomfortable trying to have a coffee and cake with a mate - I didn't pay for a meal and a show! Wish I went to Costa but I digress.....

Went there a week ago Flys and insects were sitting on the croissants and bakery items. I told the lady working she said I cannot do much about it. And ignored with a laugh. Having flys sitting on a food and insects is serious

Excellent coffee, however the venue is quite small, there are no tables to sit and no toilet on site. The staff were amazing.

Our starters "chicken goujons" were served up on the plate as per picture, they were very much bird's-eye dippers with a dip! One of the mains (fish) was served with COLD peas, which were handed to the waitress, she then took the entire plate away and returned a few minutes later with "warm peas" The steak flat bread was a joke All in all a very big disappointment , I wouldn't advise anyone to bother with this place

Children running and screaming everywhere one ran straight into my leg full pelt the parents did nothing other than laugh, my mum has a walking stick so lucky that did not happen to her. Breakfast was served with egg shell in, the waitress swapped it over but waited 12 mins by that time my family had finished eating there was more egg shell in this lot of eggs to and now I’ve done something bad to my tooth which I’m going to have to get dental treatment for. Shambles of a place went to go over to the manager to explain what had happened but found her bitching about other staff rather than working, do not reccomend. Bacon too underdone, everything else no flavour. What a way to spend a 65th birthday complete and utter shambles AVOID

We attended here for a Saturday afternoon lunch. It wasn't too busy when we arrived as there were plenty of empty seats. We were served quite promptly after being sat down and the starters didn't take very long to come out at all. I asked for no jalapeños on my nachos due to the spice, it came out with no jalapeños but instead they put chopped red chillis on them which are obviously even more spicy. So I had to remove those which was tedious but other than that they were nice. The mains were just ok for the most part. I ordered the surf and turf combo as seen in the photos (steak with the prawns on top). Mine was meant to come with skin on fries but it ended up having chunky chips (which I prefer much less the fries). I ordered my steak medium rare but it was cooked over medium. Hardly any pink in the middle at all. So overall not great. Once the mains had come the service dropped off quite a bit. It did get busier so I understand it will get harder for the serving staff but it took a long time for our plates to get cleared and to receive the menus again to order dessert. Even after the desserts, it took quite a while to obtain the bill to pay and leave. It cost us £145 for 4 adults and 2 kids. Everyone had starters and mains. Only a couple had desserts and there were 3 glasses of wine ordered too. Value for money wasn't terrible but I'd recommend visiting midweek and taking advantage of their lunch time/evening menu meal deals.

We booked a table for 9 people and waited an hour and half for drinks to come out. After an eternity the food finally arrived and 2 of our meals were cold so we complained and they were swiftly replaced but again they came to the table cold which is an absolute joke. Jody our waitress couldn't apologise more and was rushed off of her feet and couldn't keep up with the amount of people dining at the restaurant so it goes to show that this company are too tight to employ more staff and that the management do not care about their customers. If you want to be treated with courtesy, respect and decency go and spend your money at harvester

Disappointing option from the menu. Ordered the Sirloin steak salad with Chimichurri, but what arrived was more like a steak with a garnish of rocket. The potatoes were undercooked and crunchy and the steak, although pretty decently cooked was 20% grissel! Wouldn't order again, although credit to the servers for knocking off the price of my drink...

We had a lovely meal at the Beefeater Haywain and were really impressed with the service. Our waitress, Sue, was fantastic – friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right throughout our visit. She was welcoming and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was also very good, but it was Sue’s excellent service that really stood out. Thank you for looking after us so well! Danni was also an absolute gem. Would recommended 10/10.

We popped in for a meal and were pleased to see a new menu. We had a tasty meal and starters. Sue served us and looked after us making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our food and drinks. We’ll be going back to try something else for sure.

These people are crooks. They charged me £51 for a vegetarian starter, a vegetarian main and a desert. I complained to the hotel reception and they didn’t do anything.

A ambulance driver loves stopping here for a coffee to go. Sadly the coffee machine has broken and listening to the conversation, they were told management can not afford a replacement and they can't have a kettle So I am appealing to you, if anyone can donate a new professional coffee machine, or a secondhand pac tested machine, I'm sure it will make many patients, visitors, staff happy. Even better if you can drop it off.

First choice was the Bell Inn but due lack of availability they recommended their second restaurant a few doors down. Lovely food, good service and an exciting selection available on the menu. We were sat in a conservatory-type room and the acoustics are awful. Couldn't hear ourselves speak, not helped by a group of drunk TOWIE wanna-be's nearby. So our ears took a bit of a beating and so did our wallets - it's not cheap!

Great breakfast with fab service. The cooked breakfast is priced per item, so don’t be put off by a lack of vegetarian options on the menu.

Had a couple of drinks due the 10k after family had completed it. After asking for some hot water for our babies' bottle, the waitress gave us a container of hot water. The mind boggles why it wasn't a cup 🧐

Private function for an 80th birthday. Superb food, great staff and everyone had a fabulous time. No complaints.

Visited here for a private function, a friend had hired the main function room to celebrate his 70th birthday. Parking was fine, bar service was good, toilet facilities clean, and the food provided was very varied as vegetarian and vegan options were available. The room layout itself was a little questionable as navigating from the courtyard entrance through the main room was not easy and for a wheelchair user almost impossible. A great event and a good time was had by all. Thus recommended 👍

We held our wedding reception here …. It was amazing the service from the ladies that worked the bar and served our food was on hand all night checking everything was ok if we needed anything doing etc our guests were so impressed with the food and the beauty of the venue. We stayed in high school room which is so close to where we were eating and drinking and it was a huge beautiful room the children could spend time in there while the door opened onto the courtyard. Lucia was our planner and point of contact so helpful and kind she organised and took care in making sure it was perfect. Such a stress free day!! Another point we had a playlist wedding which I was nervous about but the speaker system is loud and they have ceiling mood lighting of different colours which the bar staff made an effort yo che age through the songs to make the room feeling disco 💃🏻 such a great day. Highly recommend for a relaxed wedding !

The Ostlers is the sister restaurant to The Bell Inn with a more contemporary menu and modern surroundings. Staff are professional, friendly and efficient. Great range of cocktails, gins, wines and spirits and a lovely courtyard to enjoy on a hot summers evening. Look out for special events like their gin festival (that's on the Sunday after this review was posted). Did I mention that they do a cracking cooked breakfast all week too?

Lovely place that we visited on the last Leg of the London Loop! Very friendly staff, good food and generous portions, tables spotlessly clean and nice facilities. Well worth the detour at the end of Loop to celebrate. Thank you Rosina Cafe!

Really nice place. Don't really find places like this anymore. Staff really friendly so helpful and couldn't do enough. Nothing was to much trouble for them. Food was so nice. Food and that place was so nice even stayed for pudding which I never do. Will be back again 5+ stars all the way

Wow! What a pleasant surprise. Wonderful place, very competitively priced, highly recommended. Clean toilet. Although we only had sandwiches, tea and decaf laté, under £10 for 2, the bread was soft, crusts perfect and the real ham a delight. They have both inside and outside seating. I have just been to rosina's cafe. Well what can I say, I only had a bacon and mushroom roll and a coffee. I was greeted with a smile and very pleasant and friendly staff. The coffee and roll was excellent the best I have had in ages.i can highly recommend this cafe to anyone passing by. And will be back for more. Well done to the owner and staff, for creating a very pleasant experience. Thankyou.

Great place for a cheap and affordable breakfast. The portions are large. There is parking just next to the cafe. You may have to wait a bit to be seated on a busy Saturday.

Went there on a Sunday morning, delicious breakfast and the young lad at the till was very friendly definitely will be back.

Myself and partner ate here the other day we went in to McDonald's and order on the self service as a takeaway. Food was placed and ordered then we got the food. I asked for sauces that you get when you go throw the drive thru. A lady said i had to pay £0.15p each for a condiment. So i didn't get any sauce. So i sat in McDonald's in lakeside and witnessed a staff member pouring in cold oil into a hot fryer in mid service. When i witnessed that i was so shocked and surprised and left the place. I took photos of how dead it was and the lack of taking care of service and the order screen was packed but not cleared of orders. Also as the staff member tried to charge me £0.15p for a sauce condiment i left restaurant and got in car and did a order thru the drive thru and i didnt get charged for the sauce condiments. It cant be 1 rule and another rule if you use the drive-thru way.

Absolute joke! Second time I ordered a regular meal and they have come with NO sauce on the burger. How is it so hard to put some sauce in a burger. The restaurant has been filthy the last two occasions that I have visited, the staff don’t care unless it’s a delivery order. The completely dry burger is a joke… TWICE!

ABSOLUTELY APPALLING Food & Service. Walked inside at 2:30am had to wait 15 minutes to be able to order... Fries are absolutely blank & tasteless (McDonald's Flavour is Dead) no Salt just fries as you make them at home. Prices are High and Quality & Size are Rubbish. Apple Pie is half size but doubled in price. Why people are still paying for this rubbish I don't know. All I know is that I won't anymore..! Shame to you, absolute rip-off!

Nice staff and never had any problems with food but please sort your toilets out! Especially the mens last time the floor was flooded in pee, they knew that coz they propped the door ajar to vent the smell. This time again, no toilet paper in sight, urinals got pee sitting in them, no soap in the sinks & they just absolutely stink

Went here after a night shift only to be told we can't place an order as their system is updating and it would be 20 minutes. We were hungry and had some paperwork to finish off and decided to wait. 30 minutes later we went back, only to be told from a snappy employee that "we can't place an order as their system is updating" and yes it would take 20 minutes. Total joke. The bloke speaking to us through the speaker clearly couldn't be bothered being there and it showed in his attitude. I'd avoid this place if you work nights, they don't deserve any of our money

In retaliation to all the one star reviews… This McDonald’s has gone rouge and is fighting back by - getting the orders wrong - giving you cold food - not able to serve you due to the system - tables covered in Rubbish so you have to tidy them yourself, to use them. Other than these points alls fine… Not recommended.

Clean place and good place to stop to have some coffee after shopping in Thurrock retail park.. Very close to bike shop and boots and also go outdoors. I had chocolate twist amd skinny cappuccino and my husband had green tea and oat porridge.. They gave him pot of hot water so he can refill it as much as he want.

Disappointed there us no wi-fi only ee and you have to pay for it. No way. Other than that, nice place to relax and have a coffee.We arrived late morning Monday and wasn't so busy.

Grays Pie & Mash is a true East End classic and absolutely excellent. The pies are packed with flavour, the mash is smooth and comforting, and the liquor is spot on – just like it should be. Great value, friendly service, and a proper taste of tradition. Highly recommended!

Brilliant Cafe recently refurbished by 2 brothers that have been working there for years always upholds the highest customer service. Their prices are fair considering cost of living and small businesses like this are struggling so their prices are fair. And the quality is also good.

Having not been here for a while we decided to pop in. The new porch and chairs outside were a surprise but not as much as the refurbishment inside. The place looks modern, fresh and inviting. I expected to see price hikes on the menu but found the prices were much the same and the menu also has a new look too. All the usual favourites are there, with some very welcome additions. (The pancakes with fruit and ice-cream are delicious!) There's great food for those a big feed, and likewise for those who fancy a cup of tea with a slice of toast and marmalade. The location is absolutely brilliant too, just a few steps up the road from the war memorial. It's certainly worth a visit!

Really lovely place. Came with our 3 young daughters, two of which are 4 and 2. Staff came and gave them a whole box of colouring pencils and a colouring book, without being asked. The staff also catered for their individual needs in that they gave my 4 year old a child friendly metal knife, fork and spoon and my 2 year old a plastic set. Really friendly and prompt. Food was great and came within good time. Also a great varied choice of menu, lots of vegetarian options which suited us perfectly. Overall would definitely recommend for families or on your own!

Not been here for a while and it has changed hands by the looks of things, but still a great place for a big old breakfast for a decent price! Friendly staff, huge mug of tea and a pleasant atmosphere.

A nice family run cafe. The lady there was very friendly. Great service, very clean. I love the interior decor, especially the quotes hanging up the walls.

Breakfast was top notch! They were extremely helpful and accommodating! Even brought out our toddlers breakfast on a kids plate with the sausages and bacon already cut up. Helped us move to a bigger table so we had more room for the kids. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back again!!!

Got a take away from here. Very good portions. Service was nice staff are polite and professional. Milk shakes are really good. Food was stored well which made it easy to travel. Chips were under cooked but the food was good will visit again.

It was my first time going to this place after driving past it for many years, now I wish I’d gone there sooner! It’s very clean, staff welcomed me and found a table for me as soon as I walked in. The food is excellent! I ordered a Mediterranean Breakfast, as you can see from the photo, everything on that plate is fresh. Very delicious as well! Total bill for everything was £14, which is decent and well worth it. I give Dock Café a solid 5/5 and would definitely recommend it.

Me and my partner went here this morning; our first time, and it was amazing, walked in with a warm welcome from both gentlemen’s and gave us plenty of time to order (no rushing, which is great) food was delicious! We really enjoyed it, cooked perfectly. and my hot chocolate was on point. The menu was great! It had so many options, even dinners I saw. The service throughout was excellent! the gentleman informed us to rest after our meal which was kind. Overall, my partner and I were left happy! The environment was great too, busy but not hectic; the atmosphere was positive. Definitely recommend!

Because I genuinely didn’t expect anything from this place - outside you have shank 🔪man down tilbury style and inside of this restaurant you have proper food mixed with decent vibes I got the Chicken Breast with rice and salad - BANGER, 9.2/10 any day of the week I don’t care about who’s around and outside the place, I would come here just for the grilled chicken breast meal 😂😅

Like one week ago i came alone, i ordered cappuccino but it came with half foam and i asked if you can do something from staff and the blonde girl said this is how we make cappucino do you even know what cappuccino is , for me it was so rude and i asked fried eggs well done but it wasn’t well done and sucuk was too cold.And i paid for cappucino aswell.It wasn’t my first time i came all the time but after then i’m not coming back definitely.

Parking was awful as there was a long queue for the drive through obstructing access to the car park. Took a good 20mins to get our food after ordering. Young children of around 8-12 years on the next table swearing and cursing loudly and making a mess. Staff did nothing to calm them. Food was ok. Fries were better than our regular local outlet. Glad to leave to be honest.

Ordered through the app, all bags were sealed but multiple items missing. Called the branch who blamed the driver even though I told them none of the bags had been tampered with. The fact I had to explain/simplify the word tampered sums up the quality of the staff working there. Although it appears they're well rehearsed in scamming orders to increase their profits. Definitely avoid this branch at all cost

Cheeseburgers were very dry. The Big Mac was the exact opposite and fell apart when you were eating it. The French fries were soggy. The car park is manic, with cars entering at stupid speeds and when I was there teenagers were using it like a cycle park, especially the one on an electric one! The service on the Drive Thru was excellent, and the staff were very friendly.

I’d give it more stars if they EVER got an order right For people that work daily in the same place you’d think they’d be competent enough to read an order correctly and give you the right items ordered or not miss anything off the order!

Been 3 separate times and had 3 wrong orders. This last one wasn't even the same food.tried calling, no answer, another £20 thrown in the bin. Avoid unless you're desperate. In which case order anything, you might get the right food.

Ordered one Pie one mash and liquor x3. Food was inedible. Pie had been over cooked and rock solid and meat dry as a bone. Mash tasted disgusting and liquor was bright green and tasted awful. Asked for refund and they refused too. Only offered something else and decided I would rather not eat anything from this place. Do not go it’s awful.

Breakfast was dire. Sausages taste like paste, hash browns hard and chemical taste. Beans were ok and black pudding was tasteless. The toast i ordered never came. There is a reason every other cafe in the area was busy and this one had space. Avoid

This used to be a good cafe but now, it's really poor. The food wasn't good value for money, the service was poor and to add insult to injury: the staff decided to lean over the table and my food so they could top up the sugar sachets. Smelly armpits in the face while eating lunch 🤢. I won't be going back, that's for sure.

WOW, seriously! I was recommended my Vince at ThamesView camping, and I'm glad I asked him. The ladies in there (no lads!) worked like a well-oiled machine, quick, efficient, and the food was cooked to perfection.. all while having a smile on their faces and making us feel so welcome. The atmosphere was lovely in there, and there were 8 very happy bellies, so I highly recommend this Café. Great selection, create your own breakfasts for the smaller bellies or someone not wanting to spend too much, and spaces to park. Brilliant place! 💕

It's a traders cafe. Full of the burliest of men. From electricians to scaffolders, every walk of tradesman life can be found inside this cafe. Quality food and quality service. I recommend getting the French stick with bacon, sausage, egg, hash browns and cover it with ketchup. Delicious.

Service was great and the food came out super quick. It was all super fresh too. Will definitely go back. A workers cafe mainly with a nice outdoor area when the weather is right. Take cash as no card payments taken.

Very friendly, polite and professional staff working here. The place was refreshed and looks nice, fresh and clean. The only distribution is beeping sound from checkouts but it's a shop caffe. They offer wide selection of English Breakfast which is freshly prepared on order and tea/coffe - even flavored ones. You can also use parking refund ticket here if you pay over £5.

Food was okay and it came really quick. This was more of self service to be honest. The staff who brought the food and at the check out till was polite and friendly. I would come here again to try different food during the day rather than breakfast next time

Waited 15 mins at the till to order, no staff around, I enquired with the checkout staff who said that there is only one staff member and she is over at the coffee section of the store. Very poor service! I didn’t wish to wait any longer, no doubt she is also the chef. Poor woman, sort your staffing issues out Morrison’s!

Compared to other local cafés, the food is better, even if the portions might be smaller. They do a 'create your own breakfast' which means if you are on a low carb diet you don't pay for items you can't eat. They also do good deals for kids/families.

Clean and tidy.. only one staff member cleaning, serving meals and taking money...so....she did a fab job. Food wasn't very hot.. think they plated the chips first and waited for the rest to finish cooking.. prices very good x

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Just had lunch at Café Lodge with my work team (five of us), and honestly – wow! The service was amazing: friendly, polite, and so welcoming. Our food came out incredibly quickly, piping hot, and full of flavour. I had the breakfast baguette and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had – absolutely delicious! I can’t believe I haven’t been here before. This place has really impressed us all, and it looks like Café Lodge will be our new regular spot for work lunches. Highly recommend!

I was highly disappointed with my order today as their online menu is a lie. I saw only mushrooms on their menu for eleven pound and I ordered but they delivered fries and eggs to me. It was too early in the morning and I am not an early breakfast person. When I was ready to eat which was past 10am to my greatest disgust I found fries and eggs then the sides of salad I chose . It was a horrible experience I couldn’t even eat the fries had to thrash it I only ate the salad and when I callled. The customer care or attendant who picked had nothing to say to me and eveb cut the call on me abruptly. I am sure if I walked into the shop and ordered same mushrooms they would never try that ! It’s all a facade and a lie ! They have a horrible service and horrible customer relationship management and their menu is a lie . I wasted my money literally

Absolutely amazing breakfast, all the food is high quality and very tasty. Portions are generous and are worth the price, highly recommended!

I order some chichen takeaway, and one I open the package and try to eat surprise, meat no fresh, and this chicken is cooking few days ago,

Fantastic local cafe food was delicious and the hash browns were the best ,the Gozleme being cooked outside was the best but please check when it's available as not sure we went on a Saturday morning

Had a variety of different dishes on a busy Saturday morning. There was a bit of a wait time, but they were short staffed. Food was hot and tasty and inexpensive. Breakfast and lunch served there. Recommend, but there may be a wait of 20-30 minutes.

Had a ham and cheese panini looked bland when came up with no garnish no nothing and not very tasty. Slow service. Staff serving came across a bit rude at the tills. The waitress was nice and apology when bought our order to the table after taking a while to arrive. Would have been quicker to come home and made lunch.

Poor customer service, extremely rude colleagues, asked for a breakfast with no beans, received a dirty look, attitude and huffed at for asking and then when the breakfast arrived it had beans on. Breakfast was nuke warm at the most, tea was poor and warm, toasted tea cake was just warm on arrival so cold after a minute or so, very poor experience, will certainly not be returning here again.

Didn’t even get a chance to order food or drinks. Stood in the queue for 5 minutes while the staff struggled to take an order. When it was our turn to order the member of staff walked away from the till to the kitchen without even acknowledging us. The other member of staff who was making drinks knew we were there but also did not make any attempt to acknowledge we were waiting. Walked out in the end as did the other couple behind us in the queue.

Had an amazing experience here. Not a fault with the staff. Great and helpful. Food was very cheap and extremely nice. No fault with the food. The fried slice was amazing.

Really poor / shocking service. The staff don’t listen to your order. Then to add insult to injury went in today for a soya latte - they had run out of soya milk - the male staff was like just have normal milk (I’m lactose intolerant) - his next suggestion - go and buy soya milk yourself and he would make a soya latte - so he wanted me to buy and pay for soya milk and then come back and pay for a soya latte. They must think we all have only one brain cell. Avoid!

Thought I would go and support a local business instead of going to my favourite cafe about ten miles away . This turned out to be a very good move because what I was served up was lovely . Just a simple breakfast of egg bacon sausage beans tomato and a fried slice washed down with a cup of strong tea , but presented with beans in a small cup and no trace of oil on the plate . The price was very reasonable and the food is cooked in the open kitchen to the back . I had a chat with terry the owner who explained he has recently taken over , so I hope he can make a success of this because what I was served today deserves it . Top marks for my money and highly recommend

The breakfast here was so good! I had an English breakfast which consisted of bacon, sausage, egg, beans, grilled tomato and it was cooked to perfection. The prices are very competitive too. If you're in the area it is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend this place.

Recently moved here and see reviews on this cafe. Cant express enough how great it was. Owner polite great staff nice atmosphere and most of all food was lovely. Myself partner and children will be back soon. Thank you :)

Having to put my car in for an MOT local to the Aveley cafe, I popped into this cafe to have some breakfast while I waited. I was greeted with a very friendly owner, who was kind enough to put on an extra heater beside me to warm me up from the cold morning. I had a lovely breakfast of bacon, frankfurter, egg, chips, and swapped my beans for tomato. I also enjoyed 2 cups of americano coffee. The cafe appears to be the heart of the community with regular customers enjoying friendly conversations and banter. I also noticed as people walked past they would wave to the owner. It was a lovely atmosphere even for myself as a non-regular. There was no rush to finish and leave, the owner kindy offer me to stay as long as needed to wait for my car to be ready. I was also please to be able to pay by card.

The staff are amazingly friendly and the service is great, will be returning
