Hotel
The Old Government House Hotel & Spa is a luxurious and historic hotel located in St Peter Port, Guernsey. Originally built in 1792 as the governor's residence, it was converted into a hotel in 1858 and offers a grand and upscale experience. The hotel boasts stunning views of the port, two refined restaurants, an outdoor pool, and a boutique spa. With its rich history and elegant decor, this five-star hotel provides modern amenities while maintaining its historical charm.
We celebrated our one year wedding anniversary here (after spending our honeymoon at the OGH last year) and once again, we had the most amazing time. We were spoilt with a room upgrade and spa acces. We then had a beautiful dinner with cocktails in the Crown Club, followed by the best sleep in the comfiest of beds. We woke up to a chocolate egg outside our door, as it was also Easter - a lovely touch! A super yummy breakfast, followed by a beautiful afternoon tea... And to top it off, a couples massage! Safe to say, it was the most fabulous 24 hours, and the staff are just the most friendly and helpful we have ever encountered. Big shout out to Kris, Pamela and Christina for making it extra special! We shall see you again next year!

I had the most amazing authentic English afternoon tea experience at The Old Government House Hotel & Spa with my fiancé and his mum. Everything was perfect—from the elegant setting to the beautifully arranged tiered stand of sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats. The tea selection was lovely, and the staff were absolutely amazing—so warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. It was such a special and memorable afternoon in a truly charming and historic setting. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to enjoy a proper English afternoon tea in Guernsey. We’ll definitely be back!

Booked a four day break and was given a Queen Room 109. Tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and a lovely balcony that overlooks the port. Service is first class, all very friendly....cater for everything. Food and drink is exceptional. Located just off the High Street in an elevated position....quiet and ok if you don't like hills. Superb hotel offering a 5star service
Tom M — Google review
We are traveling from East Riding of Yorkshire to Guernsey via Poole ferries as I write this. This is the 4th visit for us in a year so that speaks volumes. On our previous visits to OGH have been wonderful. I had a special birthday there, our wedding anniversary, a Christmas event, and a few family meal/ stays which this 5 ⭐️ hotel was the perfect venue. It’s truly got to be the best hotel on St Peter Port. I will enclose some photos of our stays and I’m sure you will understand too why it’s the only 5 star hotel on the island. Beautiful historic building, Gorgeous clean rooms, lovely welcome at reception. Bars, communal rooms ( piano/ music) and stunning restaurant with menu’s to suit any palate. Unfortunately we left this holiday booking ( July 25 ) too late therefore “no rooms at the Inn” So lesson learned there! . We will still visit The old government house for meals and drinks and hopefully get a few day passes to their fantastic pool and spa. I best not forget the Staff! Very attentive, fun, friendly, and most of all very professional. ❤️
Jill T — Google review
We held our wedding at the OGH and couldn’t fault our experience. Planning everything from abroad made it a little more difficult but the events manager, Mel, was exceptional—she made us feel completely at ease and in safe hands from the very start. In the lead-up to the big day, everything from the food tasting to the planning meetings with the team was smooth, professional, and accommodating. On the day itself, the staff were fantastic—attentive, warm, and seamless in their service. So many of our guests commented on how great the team was. We opted for a three-course meal, which received rave reviews. Everything ran perfectly and exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely recommend the OGH to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-run wedding venue.
Eilish A — Google review
Lovely beautiful old building. Went for drinks before dinner. Be careful though - when ordering a Gordon’s gin and tonic they will charge you for a double Whedons!!! Couldn’t complain because I didn’t want to make a scene. Not impressed I must say! Rest of the place stunning and as it should be!

Had an absolutely fantastic stay here for a long weekend. Service was exceptional staff were friendly and super helpful. If you stay definitely recommend the curry restaurant Indian and South African fusion was amazing.

Fantastic evening at the OGH. Delicious seafood platter, brilliant, cocktails, and wonderful service throughout the evening. The staff even created a bespoke coffee with a picture for Tessa my dog. Alessandro and his team five star as always.

Restaurant
Good Rebel, located at Admiral Park, is a popular spot for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant offers fresh and healthy dining options with a touch of rebellion. Their breakfast menu includes wellness juices, shots, and creative modern dishes. The brunch menu features traditional or plant-based fry ups, burgers, steak and chips, as well as breakfast salads that can be customized with side dishes. The restaurant's modern decor and attentive staff provide a welcoming atmosphere for diners to enjoy their meals.
Another exceptional breakfast here. I had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup (on the side without powdered sugar on top as requested). Husband and son had eggs benny and they said it was lovely as usual. The hot drinks were lovely and hot (not like some places who serve tepid coffee). The orange juice is freshly squeezed and beautifully cold. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting an interesting breakfast with plenty of choice in a venue providing a convivial hipster like vibe. £72 for three, so not particularly cheap but you pays your money you takes your choice as they say! Good for corporate do’s and I like that you can book a table.
K. W — Google review
Absolutely outstanding! I've probably tried everything on the menu at Good Rebel by now and it never disappoints. The food is consistently incredible, and the Blue Cheese and Steak Salad in particular is a standout dish that keeps me coming back (by the way I'm not a salad fan!). The service is exceptional every time. Steve, the owner, brings genuine passion and warmth to the restaurant. His dedication is evident in every detail and clearly inspires his fantastic team, who go above and beyond to make every visit memorable. Great atmosphere, superb quality, and excellent value for money. A true gem in Guernsey. Highly recommend!
Ben — Google review
My wife and I twice breakfast in the Good Rebel in St Peter Port which is conveniently located near the Premier Inn where we were staying. From the initial, genuinely-smiling greeting at the door to the moment we left, the service was prompt, attentive, genuinely caring but not intrusive. We felt that team members are allowed / encouraged to express the most positive parts of their own personalities. On our first visit, we chose lighter breakfast options which were delicious and satisfying to just the right degree. Second time round, we chose more substantive "brunch" options and these were equally if not even more tasty. The Good Rebel is situated in a modern building and has a chic - arty but understated decor that, looking around us, appeared to appeal to older & younger couples and families alike. Discretely hung acoustic panels ensure you are dining amidst a muted "buzz" rather than a conversation-killing "hubbub". The menu and overall offering here are well "ahead" of a typical UK cafe and to a degree this is reflected in the prices. That said, taking a little care with your menu selections, you can have a well above average dining experience at only a moderately above average price. On both visits, proprietor Steve spoke with us and other diners and it is clear that he cares a lot about both his customers and his staff. Incidentally, we ate at a number of other Guernsey restaurants etc and only one came close to providing the high-quality dining experience we enjoyed at the Good Rebel.
PM M — Google review
After having a posh breakfast here, I still wonder how the English could eat bacon for 300years without sauce hollandaise! 🤔 But honestly: Food was good but the combination of ingredients is very “unusual”. It took us quite some time to find a suitable dish. Good size of meals. Inventory is pretty posh and very suitable for people who do not only want to eat but look important too! Service is good.
Hardy I — Google review
We visited the Good Rebel a couple of times for breakfast whilst staying at the Premier Inn. It was great both times. We did look at the dinner menu but it looked quite expensive and couldn’t really see anything we would like, so just came here for breakfast. I got an iced latte both times and pancakes with bacon. The coffee and food was great. My partner had eggs Benedict on one day and fry up on another, again both were very tasty. The staff were lovely and they have a nice outside seating area which gets a lot of sun. Their breakfast menu is pretty varied and they have something for everyone. No complaints :)
Sarah — Google review
Great choice for breakfast and lunch. Varied menu, something for everybody and good quality. Been many times now. Very very popular for brunch at the weekends so definitely need to book for this. Steve the owner works hard to make sure it all runs smoothly.

I have just had one of the best breakfasts of my life here. The food is amazing, the space is so beautiful and the customer service is second to none!! Wish I could rate it 10 stars!

Brasserie
Restaurant
Christies Brasserie is a high-end restaurant and bar with an elegant harbor view. It offers a warm and informal atmosphere along with an inventive menu inspired by modern British cuisine, emphasizing fresh, locally-sourced produce for sustainability. The restaurant is known for its delightful fish dishes and sumptuous meat cuts paired with creative accompaniments and sauces. Located in the French part of town, it provides a cozy retreat to enjoy seafood platters on the balcony while overlooking the harbor.
Immaculate service, staff were attentive but patient. Not pushy. Menu was good for breakfast/brunch. Highly recommend the grilled grapefruit. Portions are big so you don’t need to order too much. The yoghurt and cereal was almost a meal in itself. Coffee was great. Would highly recommend.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 – A Lovely Lunchtime Treat We stopped by Christies Brasserie for lunch and had a fantastic experience. I had the seabass—beautifully cooked and full of flavour—while my wife enjoyed the salmon, which was perfectly done and well presented. The service was friendly and efficient, and the setting was relaxed with a great view. A perfect spot for a quality lunch in Guernsey!

Here’s a great review you can post for Christies Had my birthday lunch at Christies Brasserie and it was a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious—beautifully presented and full of flavour. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive, which made the day feel even more special. It’s a lovely spot with a great atmosphere, and I’m so glad I chose to celebrate here. Highly recommended for any occasion—or just a good meal in Guernsey!

Had my first visit here as I'm not local to Guernsey, and it did not disappoint. I can't praise the staff enough. They go above and beyond to make you comfortable and happy. Based on that alone I would return. I had lunch there and it was delicious. Fair prices for Guernsey aswell. Ate outside on the terrace looking out to the port/harbour. An overall lovely experience so thank you😊
Natalie B — Google review
We had dinner here on our final night in Guernsey.. The food was very good and out of all the places we ate during the week, Christies had by far the best service. For a Saturday night though, it wasn't busy.
Noreen C — Google review
This is my 5th time in Guernsey, usually staying for around 2 months. Was not keen on the salmon some time ago. Had the lamb chops twice this week. Everything was consistently excellent. Philippine staff are very welcoming; the best. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Guernsey!
David F — Google review
We had a double pram and the staff were very accommodating in order to get us inside as the pram is just too heavy to lift. We had the breakfast menu and the food was delicious. Bacon was perfectly crispy and the salted tomatoes hit the spot. My toddler was able to have a croissant, mixed fruit bowl with yoghurt and tried the grilled grapefruit which even my husband liked! would highly recommend.

Nestled on the southern edge of Havelet Bay in St Peter Port, Octopus Restaurant offers diners breathtaking views of the nearby islands of Herm, Jethou, and Sark. This charming eatery is a favorite among locals and visitors alike for its inviting atmosphere and stunning floor-to-ceiling windows that frame picturesque scenes, including Castle Cornet.
First class service and the seafood was out of this world. Fresh, local seafood. Even got to choose which lobster we wanted. We took our 4 year old and he was welcomed and entertained throughout the evening. Highly recommended.
Sarah H — Google review
By good luck my party of three got in before the evening booked clientele. Our meal was the highlight of our eating experience that holiday. Good sized portions and ingredients of the highest quality. No rush to eat and be gone as in some places. We tried to book for another visit but it was booked out for the rest of our holiday. So book your visit when you book your holiday! Children might not appreciate the quality of the food but sitting outside would be a special experience for any family. Yes you would be equally welcome indoors but minus the view or sunshine.

One of my favourite places for food and chilled drinks or coffee. ( I live in Guernsey) Love the vibe here. Food is always fantastic. Good to see Mike and Delphine back again. Had lovely dinner tonight to celebrate an early birthday with friends. 👌. Love the menu here. Great views and dog/family friendly too. I can often be see here with my Macaw, Mika nearly every weekend from coffee to full lunch or dinner. We love sitting outside in the sun.

Fabulous! Menu superb! Staff Friendly, lots of seating outside either a view of St Peter Port. Very chilled vibes at lunchtime. We had oysters which were amazing then crab and lobster stew, wow! Definitely a place to go if you love seafood. Then you can pop down to the small beach there for a swim or paddle. Definitely a must if you're there for a short stay and away from all the crowds.

Went on Saturday at 2ish afternoon, seated on a reasonable table given menus. Took a while to get drinks 30 mins approx but were not in a rush. Service got better as lunch went on. Food is very good quality and well presented. Good overall choices on the menu something for everyone. Can be very busy so choose when you go you can book online. A very chilled afternoon approx 3 hours nice and relaxed. 3 courses 2 glasses of champagne a glass of red and a bottle of wine just under £100 not bad, very reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area.
William K — Google review
Best restaurant in Guernsey. Had heard lots of mixed reviews regarding service and waiting times but honestly nicest meal we have had. We shared a cote de beouf and it had been aged for 66 days (since before Corona!) And it was quite possibly the best meal I've ever had. Service was great and everything went very smoothly. My only criticism and it is a small one is we didnt get an ocean view table and when I asked there were none available and so in future if they made the booking selection add an option to specify if you would like a an ocean view. Other than that it was truly superb!
Alana P — Google review
One of the best meals I’ve had in a while and definitely the best lobster I’ve ever had. It was cooked perfectly, soft and juicy - not rubbery at all. The steak was perfectly medium rare, tender and grilled nicely on the outside. The location also can’t be beat - on the beach, overlooking the castle.
Scott H — Google review
Worth every one of the 5*. Attentive service. Amazing backdrop onto illuminated castle.well lit restaurant and many very happy guests. Food also didn't disappoint at all. Scallops and oyster starters were fabulous. My spicy casserole of fish and whole crab was devine. Recommended stay... 2 hours of your life very well spent.

Nestled in a prime location opposite Havelet Bay in St Peter Port, Coco is the perfect destination for an early breakfast or a leisurely brunch. This charming café attracts both busy commuters and those looking to unwind while enjoying the vibrant island atmosphere. With a diverse menu that features French classics like croissants and croque monsieur alongside hearty English breakfasts, there's something to satisfy every palate. The inviting ambiance is complemented by friendly staff who are dedicated to providing excellent service.
Came here today with my friend and ordered the chicken ceasar sandwich, along with an iced mocha. Service was quick and people where very friendly. The food was really good and well priced. Only problem was the ketchup, and how it was in small packets and therefore hard to open. However, Overall a nice experience and would definitely recommend!

I had pancakes with blueberries, strawberries, bacon and maple syrup. Honestly one of the best breakfasts I ever had. Very busy, I was there at around 09:00. We had to wait outside for around 6 minutes I think. It was definately worth the wait though. Service was great with friendly waiters. I would definately recommend. Thinking about going a second time (I'm only here for a week). Good atmosphere.

Brilliant place - coffee good and lunch was excellent. Wide choice, reasonably priced and first class service. No wonder that it is so popular.

We’ve visited a couple times, both on weekends. It was super busy both times and the tables are really close together. It was to the extent it was pretty hard to get in and out and to move around the cafe as there are lots of staff walking around serving the tables constantly. I got the waffles with bacon the first time I went, and a pistachio croissant the second time. Bacon waffles were great, they seemed to have given me an entire pack of bacon though! It was literally around 14 rashers and everyone else i saw had the same amount too. The 2nd time I got the pistachio croissant, this was lovely too, great for breakfast. My partner got the croque monsieur and it was not good - super dry. There didn’t seem to be any sauce, bechamel, or anything. It was odd. Coffee was great on both occasions.

We stopped here for lunch. I had a prawn and avocado salad, which was good and was a very generous helping. The bottom of the bowl was coated with a hosin sauce, which was a nice touch. My wife had a salmon salad, and was surprised that it was smoked salmon. She was ok with it, but might have ordered something else if she knew that it would be smoked. Coffee was very good. Prices are reasonable. Servers are friendly and service was quick.

Muse Express. Roughly around 11:40 in the morning popped in hoping to pick up some sort of pastry item with a coffee Soon as we walked in we felt rushed to order something even though we were the only customers in and I was still looking around to see if there were any pastries/sweet dishes but couldn’t see any. The staff at the till didn’t smile at all. Asked if they had toilets and she just pointed outside and said next door. Again, no smile and seemed completely unbothered about customer service Coffee was average.

Great food, huge portions. Loved the tasty salad accompaniment. Gad to go back twice after a lovely generous prawn jacket potato , tried the even better salmon salad. Only downside was on both visits the space was cluttered with prams as mum's lunched.
Laura A — Google review
Upon entering I wasn't actually greeted, the 3 staff standing there didn't smile and I felt like I was intruding. One member of staff then grabbed a menu and says nothing while leading my partner and I to a seat; I didn't actually realise she was leading us to a seat until she'd walked off. We ordered coffee and food; we recieved the coffee promptly. This was good coffee, possibly some of the best I've had in the island so far. The food took a very very long time - I only ordered poached egg and mushroom. When the food finally did arrive, it was overcooked and ludicrously under-seasoned. Nobody checked to see if we enjoyed the food, and tables which had arrived after us recieved food long before we did. Honestly I'd have been much happier if I'd even recieved just a smile, but unfortunately not. I usually tip, but unfortunately on this occasion due to the poor service and over cooked food, I did not. Visit for coffee, not the service or food. (As a note, the music was completely not keeping with the atmosphere)
Kimberley G — Google review
Don’t go to many cafes as can’t deal with noisy places. This was empty bar one person as it was mid afternoon. Never been before. It was fantastic. The coffee was lovey and smooth and the hot spicy chicken panini was one of the best panini I’ve had in decades. Plenty of chicken in it and very fresh. The lady who works there was lovely. Definitely recommend it.

Simply amazing. My husband and I grabbed coffees at Mocca down the street and asked the barista for a breakfast rec. She directed us toward Lola. We were blown away. My husband had the silog. I had the steak frites with chimichurri. It was all incredible. Lola will be one of our first stops when we visit Guernsey again :)

Nestled on the outskirts of St Helier, the St Pierre Park Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is a luxurious retreat set amidst 35 acres of stunning grounds and a 9-hole golf course. The family-friendly 4-star hotel offers an array of amenities including tennis courts, a mini-golf course, and an indoor pool. Guests can explore the lush gardens or unwind at the newly refurbished award-winning spa with its impressive facilities and picturesque views.
We have had a wonderful week at the hotel, it is clean and comfortable with great amenities but the standout is the service from the wonderful staff. We had our 10 month old with us and the staff could not do enough to entertain him, offer to make him what ever food he would like, even offering to make him a packed lunch! They went above and beyond to make us welcome and the one evening we had a very grumpy baby they were so understanding and helpful. The travel cot was set up nicely in the room with its own sheet and optional blanket. We had to ask for an additional towel for the baby but this was provided instantly. Having the fridge in the room was useful for keeping baby food. All in all a wonderful stay.

We recently stayed at the Hotel St Pierre Park Hotel in Guernsey and had a generally enjoyable experience. The location is excellent — just a pleasant 20-minute walk into St Peter’s — and the grounds are lovely, which was perfect for us and our dog, Pablo. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, and they absolutely adored Pablo, which made us feel really welcome. Breakfast was great, and a real bonus was that it could be delivered to the room at no extra charge. The restaurant itself was lovely, and while the room service was excellent — nothing was too much trouble — we did find the prices for food and drinks on the high side, especially considering it was more expensive than the Old Government House Hotel, which is arguably more exclusive. The room (we were in Room 150) was clean and functional, but as other reviews have mentioned, quite dated and £289 a night I was expecting the wow, but all I got was beige and more dreary beige , it was lacking any colour or personality — much like a higher-end Travelodge. Not terrible by any means, but not memorable either. Unfortunately, the room was right next to a corridor door frequently used by staff, and from about 6am onwards, we could hear it opening and closing, which wasn’t ideal — although of course, not the fault of the staff. During our stay, there were two school proms, and the hotel became quite rowdy with teenagers running around. While we accept that these events are part of hotel life, we were disappointed not to have been informed in advance — we later found out a notice had been left at reception, which we never saw as we didn’t go there. The spa and gym facilities are shared with local members, which does make the public areas, especially outside, feel busy at times. The decking area is small considering the size of the hotel, but it was clean and tidy. All in all, a good hotel with excellent service, a great breakfast, and a beautiful location — just a few drawbacks that future guests might want to be aware of.

Great stay. Room was really comfortable with private seating area outside the room's patio doors. Grounds and lake were a pleasure to walk around. The pool and leisure facilities were excellent. All the staff were friendly, approachable and very customer focused.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, the staff were so accommodating and tried everything they could to meet our needs. There is generally a happy vibe with all the staff and the quality of the food is amazing. The Team at this hotel really do make your stay amazing.

We only use the golf club. The driving range is great. The restaurant is brilliant for all 3 meals of the day. The crazy golf is good fun. Always enough parking although drop wheel chairs off at the door, the gravel won't be any fun.

What a beautifully hotel! The staff were excellent and we enjoyed dinner in the restaurant which was delicious. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and again the service was excellent. As a bonus our room had a hot tub on the balcony overlooking the lake. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer.

An Amazing Wedding Experience! Our Wedding Day at St Pierre Park was absolutely incredible and we are super thankful to the team at St Pierre Park for making it so special. Upon meeting Brownyn (Assistant Sales and Revenue Voucher) and beginning the process of planning our day, we felt everything ran super smoothly and that she really understood our vision for the day. We really appreciated Bronwyn’s helpful suggestions and thoughts and never felt that anything was too much trouble. She was so easy to contact via email and via phone, always replying promptly and helpfully, and we never felt rushed to make any decisions. We also appreciated how she liaised with the suppliers on our behalf, which took away a lot of stress. Bronwyn helped with many logistical elements, such as, helping to move our luggage between rooms, as well as re folding napkins and setting up décor. She also upgraded our Best Man’s room, free of charge. On the day itself, we felt everything ran smoothly from start to finish, due to Bronwyn’s excellent planning and the willingness of all the staff to assist us. We would particularly like to give thanks to Shaun who was always available to help with anything we needed. His friendly attitude and kindness, as well as the odd joke here and there, put us both at ease throughout the day. The food was absolutely incredible; all of our guests had such high praise to share with us. Each of the courses were served promptly and presented so beautifully, the standard was incredibly high and everything was delicious. All of the team were so friendly and helpful, particularly the lady managing service (apologies we didn't catch her name!). The evening buffet was also fantastic and we have, again, received many compliments from our guests. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day and can't thank Bronwyn enough for the important role she played in this. Her excellent communication made the process straight forward, and it felt like we were working with a good friend!

Nestled on a hill just outside the vibrant St Peter Port, the Best Western Hotel De Havelet is a delightful Georgian-style hotel that offers guests an idyllic retreat. With breathtaking views of Castle Cornet and the surrounding islands, this charming establishment features two restaurants and a cozy bar where you can unwind while soaking in the stunning scenery. The indoor pool and hot tub provide perfect spots for relaxation after exploring nearby attractions.
The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Our room was cozy and comfortable. The swimming pool and jacuzzi offer views of a beautiful garden. The common areas are warm and inviting, making you feel right at home. We really enjoyed both breakfast and dinner; a special mention goes to Alejandro at the restaurant, who provided outstanding service and made us feel truly welcome.

Delightfully situated up the hill overlooking St Peter Port, you can see across to Herm and Sark. I arrived by 10.30am and was able to check in as my room ready. Even if I had not been able to check in I would have been able to use the facilities such as pool, sauna until my room was ready. Breakfast was lovely. A wide buffet selection, plus you are also able to order a variety of cooked items. The scrambled eggs are delicious. I spent a couple of hours in the pool and sauna - I hadn't realised how much I needed to rest. The staff are friendly helpful and just really lovely. A taxi back to the airport was booked there and then for me. I feel totally relaxed and refreshed. It's easy to walk into town from here; it is also really quiet so you can just chill. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. When I come back; this is where I will stay again. Thank you for a delightful break.

Great holiday - the staff were very friendly, with the rooms and facilities top class. Used the pool, sauna, and steam room which were all readily available. Top class breakfast, recommend the full English, sets you up for day. Lovely patio area for warm summers evenings. The walk from town is a bit of a push but manageable.

The Staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The food is very good with a good choice on the menu. The hotel itself and the room we had were spotlessly clean at all times as was the pool and spa area.

We have recently returned from having our wedding at the De Havelet hotel and we cannot thank the hotel management and staff enough for all the help and level of service they provided us throughout our stay. We would highly recommend the De Havelet hotel for a stay in Guernsey or for anyone else looking for a fabulous location for their wedding.

As a day visitor to St Peter Port Guernsey we just had to stop for lunch at the Hideaway Restaurant which is on the first floor. As a returning customer the food and service have always been of the highest order. On this occasion we chose their Hideaway burger which was huge and full of wholesome ingredients. Real meat, a large piece of bacon and a great covering of cheese. The service was excellent provided by Mark and Sahil who couldn't do enough for you. The outside terrace is a particular favourite spot of ours to eat when we manage to come to St Peter Port Thank you

What a fabulous place, we had a king room overlooking the garden The room has a fridge so you can if you require bring your own drinks. Frt basket on arrival including soft drinks replenished when used. Bed was really comfortable and the room was air conditioned, unusually it was very quiet when running easily controlled too. The bathroom was clean tidy not run down at all, with shampoo and body lotion in the shower tray. They provide wonderfully soft towels and the one thing most hotels miss out, a flannel! The breakfast is continental with a cooked option, all excellent. Service is quick, staff helpful and friendly without being over the top. The bar in the evening was well patronised if (in my opinion) a little expensive. The hotel is positioned on a hill, it's a "stiff" walk up. Car parking has easy access, lots of parking. They run a free minibus to St Peter Port several times a day and a round island trip also included. I could go on but it would all be excellent.

We enjoyed a tasty lunch followed by coffee & cake. Our mains were all delicious, my Ocean Brochette was superb. I was disappointed with my coffee and walnut cake though. Unfortunately I didn't detect any hint of coffee flavour and found it bland, so didn't eat much of it. However, everyone else loved their cakes and the service was excellent. We sat outside on the terrace in the sun, protected from the strong westerly winds. We enjoyed it so much that we came back a few days later 😀

A pleasant restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining. The food is good, although the menu doesn’t seem to have changed since I came here some years ago. The crab salad made with local crab is good, and the portions are generous. Staff are friendly and the loos are clean. There are two indoor areas. The furthest one is a bit dark and dinghy, but the one next to the terrace is very pleasant.

Cafe
The Cornish Bakery is a charming bakery located in the old town of Hastings. It offers a variety of delicious pasties and sweet pastries that are highly recommended by visitors. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the coffee is particularly praised for its great taste. There are good vegan options available, such as the veg pasty and raspberry croissant. The bakery also provides seating on two floors, although some customers prefer to opt for takeaway due to occasional overcrowding on the lower floor.
Super great place! I came in here with my wife and kids this weekend just gone, then again on my way to work today and both times the service, coffee and food were absolutely spectacular. The staff were so attentive and made sure we were all taken care of. Had high chairs for my baby and also made sure the hot chocolate for my 6 year old was cool enough for her to drink. My wife is vegan and she thought the vegan croissant and oat chai were great. The latte I had both days and they were both delicious with the perfect amount of foam! Latte on Sunday was better than today, but I’m not fussy about that. Absolutely fantastic place and I will be returning - both alone and with family. Can’t recommend more!
Ifelloffthesky. T — Google review
Lovely pasties, we picked up a couple of flavours for our walk up into the country park and once we had found a suitable picnic spot thoroughly enjoyed our selections from the bakery. The favoured was the cauliflower and onion bahii pastie, really very tasty. We also indulged in a pistachio croissant which was fairly nice. This establishment does not accept cash - which given the location and amount of tourists I did find a little surprising!

Came here while visiting my brother and loved it! Coffee was spectacular; I had a cappuccino and I truly think it was the best I have ever had. Tried a “Cornish Pudding” and that was delicious too - although a little sweet! The staff were kind and accommodating and service was fast and efficient. Can’t recommend this place enough.

In Hastings I took the vegetarian with cauliflower-chickpea-onion. Delicious!!! We also tried the traditional with potato-steak filling and a beef-chipotle filling. All served warm. Prices reasonable.

Service was great! Tried the new apple, rhubarb and custard pasty which was good, but the carrot cake and Cornish pudding were better. The chocolate brownie was fantastic (even though we didn’t get it!!). Chocolate milkshake was also good. Service was excellent, waiter kindly helped us heat our pastries up upon request. And there were testers when we went!!! 🤩🤩🤩

My friend recently bought a whole variety of pasties and sweet pastries from them. I only tried the pasties and they were very good. Judging by how quickly everything went I would say their sweet pastries were also a big hit with our group. It looks like a well run clean bakery shop in old Hastings. I highly recommend trying their baked goods if you are in the area.

White Rock Cafe is a popular spot known for its Big Breakfast and quick, friendly service at reasonable prices. It's a favorite among locals and visitors alike, offering a variety of food options including lobster salad, crab salad, full English breakfast, beans and chips, and veggie burgers. The cafe is unpretentious but delivers good quality food with efficient service. While it may not be the fanciest place in town, it's highly regarded for its value and authenticity.
A great local landmark on the White Rock Harbour. Has been a solid, well supported cafe for locals and tourists for as long as I can remember. When you walk in, you are greeted by the lovely Anne, a lifetime friend who makes you feel right at home. Great selection of food , big bold menu board and good prices. Some outside tables for those who love people watching.

Mountains of food delivered in lightening fast time at very reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere and the staff are great. Loved all the nautical pictures and stories on display in there. Missus loved her bacon sandwich and my kid loved her sausage chips and beans. Hands up, I'll be honest - I'm a veggie and had scrambled egg on toast - not loads for veggies but it's not that sort of place which I totally respected but if that's going to upset or 'trigger' you then don't go there, there are plenty of other places that will humour you with veggie sausages and charge you twice the price that this place does.

Costa Coffee is a beloved counter-service coffee chain that offers an array of hot beverages, refreshing iced coolers, delectable sweet treats, and satisfying sandwiches. While the Costa in the Arcade has closed its doors, the Pollet location remains a fantastic spot for coffee lovers. This cozy café in St Peter's Port may be small but boasts a loyal customer base who appreciate its familiar offerings.
Apart from the limited seating area, this costa is up to par with the mainland, my two hot chocolates were made well and in a timely manner. The Nacho chilli cheese and chicken Toastie was as nice as usual.
Matt R — Google review
Bad service, staff very rude, I ask for expresso and they wanted to charge for a americano which is £2.80… Also the staff speaks in their on language ignoring the customers.
Celso P — Google review
A small Costa in St Peter's Port. Not much room inside, but you know what you get from a Costa. Appears to have regular customers, so that says a lot. A safe haven without having to explore for more independent options.
Nigel H — Google review
Love their coffee, especially my new favourite; mocha.
Yusra A — Google review
Both Costa Coffees in Town are great but I especially want to mention the one in the Arcade. I have difficulty walking and use a stick. They really look after me & are so lovely anyway. I go to Costa a lot and especially love the coffee (of course) and the cakes! I view it as my solemn responsibility to test them all 😉 Update: the Arcade Costa is no more but luckily the Pollet Costa is still there and is great too! And now that walking is a bit of an issue with me, it is easier too, with the toilets being on the same level. Lovely people, great place! May 2022 Update; The Pollet Costa and the Bridge Costa (which I have recently been using, and they are lovely too) shut at 3pm now and are closed on a Sunday. 😞 I'm sad about this and a little worried about their continued presence over here 😕

A very cramped outlet, what a pity the town centre doesn't have a larger Costa to relax in. Coffee and food are great. Staff recently appear miserable, a shame as they used to be quite buoyant.

Very convenient location in St Peter Port, normal Costa offerings, pleasant staff with a smile and efficient service.

Nice coffee and a fair selection of sandwiches and cakes etc. It can be cold inside as the Aircon is a bit to strong and probably would be better placed above the Batista's counter as that is where the cafe is warm.

Boycott M&S Food! They throw away unsold food instead of donating it to charity, discounting it further, or helping people in need. I won’t be shopping there anytime soon — and I don’t recommend anyone else waste their money either. There are plenty of videos showing their shocking practices: binning perfectly good food, locking the bins to stop people finding out, and even pouring blue dye over it so it can’t be salvaged. Absolute shame!

I love shopping at M&S food hall in Watford. The selection is great and reasonably priced for the quality. On my most recent trip I was served by a lady named Nasima and she was so warm and kind. She let me know about missed promotions on a few of my items so I was grateful for that as most cashiers don't bother flagging it. Thank you!

He quickly returned with it, assuring me he hadn’t had to paid for it. He then asked me if I needed a first aider , I didn’t. He then said take your time sit there as long as you need to.
