Breakfast restaurant
Toby Carvery Salters Wharf is a beloved family-friendly restaurant that specializes in serving up delicious roast meats in a carvery-style setting. Located conveniently near the heart of Lytham, this eatery offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for gatherings with loved ones. The menu features not only hearty roasts but also options for kids and classic desserts that are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Incredible service, especially from Tegan who was so helpful and kind. I had the vegan spicy butter nut squash tart with carrots, peas and potatoes and specially made cauliflower. She also brought out a side of vegan gravy which was a fantastic meal. Also had the delicious vegan apple pie with vegan ice cream!!! 10/10 for food, service and ambience! Tegan deserves a huge raise! Loads of seating inside and outside.

First time at this Toby Carvery, first time we've been to any for a few years. We ordered a couple of regular carveries with the wonderful staff who looked after us at our table. Upon receiving the beef from the lad who appeared to be in carving training his tutor instructed him to cut it thinner in the future. Now that lad was doing just fine, and I only just about received sufficient, if I had been the next customer behind I would not have been happy. Mash potato was awful, carrots and peas tasteless, Yorkshire pudding and green beans decent. It will be a few years again before I visit a Toby carvery.
J C — Google review
Visited 12/04/25 and it was probably the nicest breakfast from a Toby Carvery I have ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection and was hot, fresh and tasty! Excellent availability across all dishes. Restaurant was clean and the service was great. Be sure to validate your parking via the machine on entry for free parking.

What a terrible experience We came here as the Blackpool one had shut! Waited along time our meal tickets and then for food to be refreshed the Yorkshire puddings looked like pancakes It was evident staff were off as the one guy was running around like a headless chicken the place was filfty as you can see in photos lots of dirty tables around I wanted to help him clear them! We could enjoy our meal as my anxiety was through the roof and the uncleanliness of the place! Bring Toby Blackpool back please
A T — Google review
I have to start with the incredible service we received here. Tegan was very helpful taking me through the allergy menu for the carvery to let me know what contained milk and egg. This has been the best service experience I have had ever. The food was very tasty. Turkey moist. Gammon tender and juicy. Roasties crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The stuffing was tasty, but was not firm. I think it needed cooking a bit longer. The parsnips and Carrots were fresh and beautifully cooked, not mushy, a bit of a bite. The gravy was very rich and moreish. Also, I wanted to mention the size of the Yorkshire pudding wrap for anyone considering it.
Nathan R — Google review
Had a great meal at Toby Carvery! It was a busy night for them and they were so professional and organised. We were looked after by the wonderful Jillian, who even though she was having to run around alot was kind, patient and smiley. She recommended dishes and deals to us and was an absolute joy to interact with! Having worked in the service industry for awhile i know how important it is to treat our servers with respect and kindness and Jillian returned the same sentiment to us the whole night. She is an asset to your team!!!

We visit often and this is by far the best carvery in the Blackpool/St Annes area. We particularly enjoy it when Michelle is waiting on the tables. She is always really friendly and professional but also great fun. We often take our friend who has a disability and significant special needs and she always makes a big effort with him despite his peculiarities.
Willy E — Google review
Good Toby Carvery, good service and usually selections of both food and drink you'd expect. You must enter your vehicle registration when you arrive to avoid parking fines. Great location. Outdoor area could do with some tlc, but understand that would be difficult with being a beach side location. All in all, a great place to enjoy a roast dinner 🍽.

The Railway Hotel – JD Wetherspoon is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy great value in a lively atmosphere. On a sunny March afternoon, it buzzes with patrons eager to sample its impressive selection of nine real ales, including the delightful Coach House Cheshire Gold. The pub is recognized in the Good Beer Guide and boasts a Cask Marque, ensuring quality brews. For those seeking sustenance, the breakfast menu is perfect after an invigorating bike ride.
Really impressed with the decor and service at this Wetherspoons, the food was delicious, came in a timely manner, can't fault anything.

Day out to meet some family, Spoons always value for money...or is it Car park - it has none, pay and display a bit pricey Venue - Good location but right down the main street, but ok walk. Outside - Nice tidy clean beer garden and plenty of tables inside. Staff - very nice and polite, quick service ordered at the bar and on app Food- Came quick, chips warm not hot, the usual chip count was done 14 which is ok, double American cheese burger, lacked in creativity and taste, but hot, I do praise them for the onion rings, very hot and very very good, the chefs banged them in the frier to perfection. No deserts usually Spoons prices. Pizzas ok but not to impressed with them. Drinks- cider, Cokes , standard prices We sat outside in front vert garden watching the firemen polish their engines, very entertaining. Beer garden had rubbish on floor, needs monitoring. Like any weatherspoons, when they are busy it's a mess, but on a Thursday at 3pm it was fine .
Ed M — Google review
Had to try the local Spoons. Usual great value and thus reasonably busy on a March afternoon. Ric " The Hat" got me to try a pint of Coach House Cheshire Gold, a lovely 4.1% beer from the March beer festival range. One of nine real ales on sale. Used a 50p off CAMRA voucher. It is in the Good Beer Guide and holds a Cask Marque. Slightly off put by the bar staff constantly shouting " Who's next?" In my many hours behind the bar I was taught to look up and know who was next. Your eyes should be constantly scanning! Pleasant Spoons with good front beer patio, side patio and rear patio. Trek to mens toilet upstairs .. or use disabled if not up to it.
MADDOGLEP — Google review
Beware - no dogs allowed on the premises, even the beer garden, although the signage isn't clear, it only appears in the entrance door way so you assume it's just inside so we sat down outside & ordered. After our food arrived a guy with a camera attached said it was no dogs anywhere on the premises but he would let us eat our food then leave. No smoking on the terrace (which didn't bother us) unless apparently your a regular, when nothing is said. Staff not overly welcoming, food basic, probably the worst branch of Wetherspoons I have come across yet
Tracey A — Google review
Excellent service and really good staff. Andrew really good staff friendly service emma is nice .
D3viice. S — Google review
I called in for a cheeky breakfast after an hour of cycling and sat in the beer garden at the rear. Used the Wetherspoons App to order and the food and drink arrived quite promptly, with a smile (always appreciated). Excellent pub but, as with most Wetherspoons, the toilets felt like a massive complicated hike. Otherwise, no complaints at all.
Nathan B — Google review
Really wasn't great this morning. Staff issues meant no breakfast apart from sandwiches, but the bread was stale, sausages flavourless and no condiments available so we found some at the other side of the pub. Our waitress was very clearly not feeling it, either.

Just in for the cask ales today ( first time in this spoons and it didn't disappoint 🍻)

Restaurant
Whispers Cafe Bistro is a delightful spot that truly captures the essence of a cozy dining experience. With its inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and happy patrons, it’s no wonder this cafe has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The outdoor seating area, complete with canopies, allows guests to enjoy their meals in the fresh air while savoring delicious offerings from an extensive menu that includes breakfast served until 3 PM.
We called in a couple of times, there are beautiful home made cakes, lovely breakfasts, good coffee. We received great service, it was lovely and clean. The only thing I could suggest to improve was that one server with lots of dark/black hair hadn't got it fully tied up, (the other girls had), it's not ideal to have loose hair when serving food.
Diane L — Google review
After trawling around for somewhere for lunch, we stopped here. Seating inside and outside, outside has a canopy. Cakes on display just a wee bit inside. Decent menu, breakfast served till 3pm. Specials board. Staff friendly and efficient. Food cooked fresh, club sandwich was good. Toast was excellent, and a great price. Toffee chino was great.
Thurso L — Google review
Nice cafe/bistro. Good looking inside. Really great staff and cakes. We had cheese and onion toasties which were a bit bland. Coffee was a little weak for my taste. But it was very busy so maybe it was just an off day.
Barney S — Google review
Excellent service and busy too. Club sandwich was really good. Ham off the bone. Chips nice and crispy. Ice cream milkshake. . And they do gluten free bread too which was decent. But they should advertise this. Couldn't see it mentioned but asked for it. Great wee place.
Lancs B — Google review
What an amazing place to eat. Lovely atmosphere, really beautiful food and super friendly staff. No more wasting time wandering around looking for somewhere to eat. This is definitely my new go to.
A G — Google review
Food was mediocre, main thing was it was just so disorganised; Ordered 2 drinks - forgot the second one for 15 mins so had to remind them. When the food came no cutlery on the able so had to ask Loads of staff for how quiet it was, most of whom are just standing around doing nothing. Had to keep asking and reminding staff to do really, really basic things. Food 2 maybe 3/5 service 1/5.
Matty1k1 — Google review
First visit on Tuesday. Took my spaniels. The atmosphere in the cafe was so lovely. The staff were very friendly and all customers seemed happy to be there. Even my dogs picked up on the relaxed vibe and were very chilled. My scone and coffee were lovely - The coffee piping hot just as I like. There are some nice dog friendly cafes in Lytham but this has to be my favourite. I will be back
Janet H — Google review
We have been here twice before but this time was disappointing for me personally. 1. I asked for a panini not a toastie but I had waited so long for food I was absolutely famished and just wanted to eat 2. When it came it was freezing and the tuna was so sloppy I had to remove quite alot of it in order to eat the toastie. There wasn't much red onion on it either. Then when we got the bill the price for tuna cheese toastie with red onion being an extra filling just wasn't worth what I got (not what I ordered) it's a shame really as the time before it was really good.

Supermarket

Liquor store
Booths is a delightful upmarket grocery chain that truly shines when it comes to regional produce. With specialized departments for fish, meat, and deli items, this supermarket offers an impressive selection that sets it apart from typical stores. Shoppers rave about the quality of the products, particularly the fresh meats and vibrant vegetables. The atmosphere is inviting and reminiscent of higher-end markets like Waitrose rather than budget options like Aldi.
Good-sized supermarket with free parking available outside. As with most Booths stores, prices can be higher than standard supermarkets, but the loyalty card helps. Offers a good variety of items you won’t find elsewhere and a nice selection of plants.
Amy B — Google review
What a gem of a supermarket! The atmosphere is lovely and there is a lot of choice. Think more Waitrose rather than Aldi. The different counters offer a lot of choice. Maybe not to do your weekly shop if you are on a budget, (although we found some excellent bargains) but for a treat, this is the perfect place to visit.
Rachel C — Google review
Excellent customer service in this store this morning when I tried to register online for a Booths Card. 'Computer Said No'. Many times but got there in the end thanks to Paul on the shop floor,, AnjaD on the checkout and the lovely lady on customer service. A very big thankyou to all 3.
Sylvia F — Google review
Coldest shop ive been in, cant wait to get out, atmosphere is grim in the evenings, getting served is slow for small items, hot food counter doesn't have salad which is funny as they sell plenty of salad items separately. Staff seem depressed idk something dont feel right about the place needs to be warmer for a start. Food shopping selection is great 👍
Super L — Google review
Afternoon Tea We had a great afternoon tea here. I was sceptical there would be enough to eat since the price is so reasonable. I was wrong. We don't drink tea so they did us very good mochas instead. Sandwiches were fine and the cakes were excellent - huge choice of great cakes. I had ordered one of their (very good) pizzas on the side (due to that misplaced scepticism) so we wouldn't manage the scones. No problem - they supplied a box and we had them (lightly warmed in the oven) after dinner. The staff were noticeably hard working (clearing tables and delivering) and friendly. A really warm and pleasant way to take my dead old ma out for her birthday lunch.

Ive shopped here for years, I love the place, the staff, the produce and the whole ethos of the company. More places could do with taking a leaf from here. First class 🌟

First visit to the supermarket and I will definitely be going again. Friendly staff, clean and spacious store. Tasty and fresh produce
Linda G — Google review
I love shopping at booths, its not the cheapest place to shop but the produce like the meat and vegetables is of a very high quality and they stock a lot of foods that you would not find at any of the well known supermarkets, you are literally spoilt for choice when shopping for any items when each shelf tends to stock so many varieties, definitely my favourite place to shop

Nestled within the picturesque Lowther Gardens, the Lowther Pavilion Cafe is a delightful spot for food lovers and dog owners alike. With its friendly staff and scrumptious menu, it’s an ideal place to unwind after a stroll in the gardens. The cafe offers a variety of meals, from hearty breakfasts to delicious sandwiches and homemade desserts that are sure to satisfy any craving.
It's a lovely place to take your dogs in .the staff are brilliant The food is scrumptious. It's got nothing to do with the theatre and yes you can park your car but you have to pay. But ♿ parking have to pay as well the money goes towards the theatre. It is my understanding they're not supposed to charge for disabled badge holders disabled people have already paid ten pound for parking to get the blue badge it's diabolical. Shame on the manager of lowther gardens. 🤬

Central Beach Café is a delightful spot that truly embraces the spirit of community and pet-friendliness. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast or lunch, you'll find an extensive menu with something for everyone, including options for your furry companions. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful, making it a perfect place to relax while enjoying delicious food like scrambled eggs on toast or their renowned homemade soup. The staff are incredibly welcoming, creating a warm environment where you can unwind with friends—both two-legged and four-legged!
There’s a fair few places that are ‘dog friendly’ in Lytham, But this place is by far the dog friendliest place me and my four legged companion have ever been. Having been a few times now, every visit has been a pleasure. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and create a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The coffee has always been delicious, and the food fresh and tasty. Unique to this cafe is the dog section of the menu- small cheap platters of doggy dishes such as chopped up sausage or a small amount of scrambled egg, or the popular ‘puppicino’. A true mark of a dog friendly cafe, something to make sure that ‘side of the table guilty glance’ is satiated. With indoor and outdoor seating, a nice range of drinks, snacks and treats, I look forward to making this place a regular visit every time I take a trip to Lytham. A definite gem along the Lytham high street.

Visited today with my 3 dogs, after a recondition. Arrived for breakfast menu, plenty of to choose from. Also cater for your 4 legged friends. Had scrambled egg on toast with vine tomatoes. A little too runny for me but still tasty. Very clean inside, bright and cheerful, staff very friendly, note it is note waiter service, he have to go up and order, I say there for 5 minutes waiting to be served. Worth a visit ,and will have to go for lunch because told the homemade soup is delicious.

Been going since it took over Global video about 2006, seen many managers and staff come and go. Been decent service staff in past. Their attitude often reflects the manager. Coffee is one of the best in the area, but current service is the worst I’ve seen. Some are very slow at making a drink, sometimes three staff are in the loudly chatting while customers are waiting, tables often covered in crumbs and liquids that were not cleaned by staff as they would rather chat we had to use their rag to clean it ourselves., sometimes individual staffs use no manners or cold. A new young server scowled at me before asking what I want for no reason, called me a name as I left. I was friendly to her. Got a cold drink for £5: it was just tap water, ice, powder and a few berries. Had a foam like washing liquid was in it. Put his finger on the inside while using the till to serve the next customer. Never been thanked me for leaving change in tap jar. Stopped tipping. Often fake homeless sit outside next to tables on private land, begging for booze or spice money. I know they live in flats, and come to constantly use toilets.
Z M — Google review
Good staff, speedy click and collect order prep. Decent Costa Coffee site overall. A bit pricey but that's expected from these chain coffee shops. Never had a bad experience here.

Really impressed with my hot chocolate, and I wasn't alone, even go a comment from another customer about how impressive it looked, practically a work of art, loved it.
Matt R — Google review
Come here most Friday mornings on the school run with my daughter because she loves it, I’m not a fan, nor is she now, the red head who serves is so rude , I asked for some cold milk in my daughters hot chocolate as we were short of time my, met with a sharp response of “I’ve made it cooler” ! My daughter tried it it was to hot for her so politely she asked for a splash of cold milk, lady huffed and puffed and muttered “Jesus Christ “ under her breath, making my 9 year old feel uncomfortable and an inconvenience. On top of that, my order is a small Americano, I’m sure there’s a reason coffee is meant to be served at a temperature in the 60’s , not an espresso filled with piping hot water spoiling the coffee. (Hence the “not a fan”)

The staff are friendly and the place is kept clean and inviting. They go out of their way to accommodate requests ‘out of the norm’ and do this with a smile ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nestled in a charming seaside town, #Nofilter Coffeehouse & Bistro is a delightful family-run establishment that has quickly become a favorite among locals and travelers alike. With an inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, this bistro offers an impressive menu filled with comfort food that caters to various dietary preferences, including plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. The decor is eclectic yet harmonious, creating a unique vibe that enhances the dining experience.
Food, service and atmosphere were all amazing!! My friend and I have all travelled in the US a lot so finding a menu full of US comfort food in the UK, in a small seaside town was an unexpected bonus! The food was all brilliant, great flavours and generous portions, and really friendly team serving! If we lived closer we'd definitely be back, but until then we highly recommend it to anyone else who likes good food!

Love love love this place. Staff are friendly, decor is different, seating inside and outside. They have loads of vegan options for dessert and sandwiches. I had the vegan seitan sandwich which was delicious and full of protein. Loved it. They gave me these courgettes (I think) bites and they were crispy and delicious too. Definitely going back 😁!

Brilliant place here! Food was AMAZING! The staff were so polite and not too formal so felt right at home straight away! I will be coming here again, and I would happily drive the hour to do so! 🤗

Excellent from entering to leaving! Service was fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious, best poached eggs I’ve had for a while! No complaints and would highly recommend a visit!
Alison C — Google review
We visited for a breakfast and coffee. The service was excellent and staff very friendly. The menu was extensive, so there is something for everyone (sweet, savoury, and veg options). Coffee was great as well. Would definitely recommend. Will visit again.

Came here on several occasions with friends, It’s a family run restaurants , the atmosphere and staff are amazing. The service is fast, the decor of the place are random but works quite well with the vibe of the cafe There are vegan and vegetarians options for food and drinks, there’s plenty of seats inside and outside of the cafe The cafe is also pet friendly

Really good food. Tried the avocado toast and tater tots. Similar to Josies from down south but mid. Just fyi, you will not be allowed to eat anything else at this cafe other than what is purchased at this cafe. A little harsh from my POV, but respectable.
Z B — Google review
It’s always a delight here. The staff are friendly who check on allergies, great coffee, and plenty of options for different diets. The decor makes it stand out from other cafés, and even when it’s busy I’ve always managed to find a seat. Definitely my go to spot in the area!

McDonald's is a timeless fast-food institution that has been delighting customers for decades with its iconic burgers and fries. While their breakfast options serve as a convenient choice for those on the move, the coffee offered is just passable. Although McDonald's boasts an extensive menu of main meals, some may feel that the quality of their classic burgers has diminished since they first arrived in the UK.
Great location and always easy to find free parking right outside. One of the cleanest McDonald’s I’ve been to, tables are usually spotless and the bathrooms well maintained. The service is quick and staff are friendly. There are self-service screens which make ordering really convenient.

Has to be the worse McDonald’s on the fylde coast, the chips are refried, cold or always taste weird & the chilli burger I ordered had no chilli in. When I got home to eat this it was too far to go back but would definitely recommend not using this McDonald’s. Picture is the lack of chilli burger I got

I understand McDonald’s in Lytham is a popular spot — and rightly so, given it’s the only one in a classy town like this. It’s great to see it busy, and the team behind the counter generally seem to handle that well. However, I think there are a few areas where the customer experience could be improved with relatively small changes. The cleanliness of the dining area can be an issue, particularly during busy periods. I know McDonald’s has a culture where customers often leave their trays, but this makes it all the more important that staff keep on top of clearing tables quickly. At times, it’s hard to find a clean seat, and this could be off-putting to customers. Similarly, bins — both inside and out — need to be checked and emptied more regularly, as overflowing bins inevitably lead to more mess and a less pleasant environment. I’ve also observed that staff who aren’t on the tills often appear to move at quite a slow pace. A little more urgency and focus on efficiency — particularly around cleaning and clearing — would go a long way in improving the overall atmosphere and service. This isn’t a criticism of individual staff members, but more a suggestion for management to tighten the logistics and increase accountability around cleaning and movement during peak times. With a few tweaks, this McDonald’s could reflect the high standards that match the town it’s based in.

I guess not enough staff.i think macdonald have lost the plot .drive through, deliveroo, an sit down customers, dosent work. What happened to temperature checked fast hot food ? The size of the bun is pathetic.to small.

Definitely the worst mcdonalds and the only one ive ever made complaints about. Very very slow and general poor customer service. No ownership when they get it wrong. Actually tried to blame me for not coming up when order was called but i never left the till area and can 100% guarantee that order was never called. So, very dismissive of my complaint and indirectly accused me of being a liar too. Very poor!

The slowest ‘fast’ food in Lytham. Don’t waste your time here. This restaurant is not resourced properly for the number of Just Eat orders and this affects the on site customers. Get it sorted or stop servicing Just Eat.
Don D — Google review
Dirty, scruffy place. Staff are incompetent. They take forever, 25 minute wait on a drive through order. The staff don't seem to care about their jobs, I'd certainly be firing a number of team members who treats it like a youth club.
Trudi D — Google review
Do you like to wait fifteen mins for a cup of coffee at six thirty in the morning before work. If so then this is the spot. No other orders on the board, no customers at the drive thru but at least the staff were having a chat and a laugh while I stood there like a handless man at a thumb sucking competition. Great work guys. Im loving it 👍

Ocean Cafe is a delightful spot that truly captures the essence of seaside relaxation. With its homemade teacakes and exceptional coffee, every visit feels like a treat. The warm and welcoming staff add to the charm, making you feel right at home as you enjoy your meal. Whether you're indulging in their scrumptious sourdough toasties or savoring a slice of cake drizzled with blood orange syrup, each bite is pure bliss.
It's a great place to get an ice cream, hot drink or cake after a swim, a gym workout, walk on the seafront or on a day at the beach.

Not a great experience. Called in for food and a drink before going into the cinema next door. It was quiet and we had about an hour or so to eat before needing to leave. Drinks came quickly but had to go and ask for milk for tea. We ordered 2 sourdough toasties at around 11.50, we kept looking over and staff were preparing food and as there was only 1 other table occupied we assumed they were making our food, we drank the drinks and eventually I had to go up and ask where our food was as we had literally 10 mins before we had to leave, this was around 12.20 so around half an hour after ordering. The toasties had been put in the machine but then forgotten about and other orders were made as they just sat in the machine. Eventually they were brought out, 2 toasties on little side plates, no garnish, no salad, nothing, just 2 dry toasties at £6 each!!! I am not a fast eater and had to wrap half of mine in a napkin with me as we had run out of time. Offered no sauces, no napkins (had to hunt napkins down myself) no cutlery, just 2 dry toasties that had sat in a machine for I'm guessing over 20 minutes plonked on side plate. I certainly don't understand the high scores on some of these reviews, certainly wasn't out experience, so overpriced for dry, bland food and not great service.

Homemade teacake and coffee. Absolutely delicious! The lady that makes this wonderful food and serves you is an absolute delight! The smell of the pool reminds me of taking my daughter to compete with her swim club and is conjuring the best of memories. Wish I lived here now! Teacake to die for❣️❣️

It tucked 45 minutes to get two sandwiches and 15 minutes more for another two . staff was not sorry they did others food in between ares we wasn’t unpleasant to them but was unexplainable service the fact there not wearing gloves or hair nets or aprons to keep clean and hygiene for them self and customers
