Hotel
Nestled in a charming traditional setting, The John Russell Fox - JD Wetherspoon is the perfect spot for those seeking a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying delicious British pub fare and American breakfast options. With an impressive selection of real ales, craft beers, wines, and spirits like gin and vodka, along with freshly brewed Lavazza coffee, there's something to please every palate. The spacious bar and dining area invite you to unwind whether you're stopping by for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
I'd normally stay in a Travelodge for just one night, but this came up for the same price, so thought I'd give it a go. Upon arrival, staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was much better than I expected. Good size, and very clean. Bathroom was very big, and a large shower with gel etc provided. The little extras in the room were a pleasant surprise. As well as tea/coffee, there were 2 bottles of water, biscuits, and mugs that can be used downstairs at the free refill machines.....you can drink as much tea/coffee as you like while staying there. Room was very quiet......never heard any noise at night. I ate downstairs in the restaurant......food and drinks served quickly and with a smile. You can also take food/drinks up to your room if you want. Had breakfast downstairs in the morning, again all good. Checkout was literally drop the key in a box and go. First time I've ever stayed at a Wetherspoons hotel....... definitely won't be the last.

We needed a breakfast on Sunday morning at 7.00 for an 8.00 appointment so chose here, unfortunately didn't realise it was on a pedestrian precinct , by the time we found parking and our way to the pub we were pushed for time. The full English breakfast was great, very reasonable and served quickly. We just made our appointment well fed. Great.

We stayed for a weekend, the family room was lovely and clean. Plenty of towels, bathroom was well maintained and spotless. Staff were so helpful. All round positive!
Ilona D — Google review
As spoons go, this one is pretty good! It's big, clean and the staff were nice. On a big hill, that ends at the seafront and allows you a lovely walk down through the high street. The food was good (for spoons) and the atmosphere was good too.
Kieran C — Google review
Great Pub good food (was fresh and timely) and drinks were good Lots of nooks at the ends of the building making it feel rather cosy Free parking after 4pm next door is a bonus!!

McDonald's, a well-established and enduring fast-food franchise renowned for its assortment of burgers and fries, has gained notoriety over the years. Despite primarily voicing concerns when dissatisfied, it is worth noting that this particular McDonald's branch in Andover- West Portway Industrial Estate consistently delivers accurate orders during various times of the day, with their burgers exhibiting a commendable level of presentation.
It's McDonald's. What else can I say? Cheap, edible comfort food for lazy days or a quick stop. Staff are friendly. Upstairs toilets are usually closed. Disabled toilet isn't very clean, be warned. Convenient location coming into Andover from Ludgershall direction.
Ellen H — Google review
Burgers we're cold. They said they were all freshly made but clearly not. They did however offer to re male my burger and the new one was actually hot therefore proofing the original order was old and tried to Palm us off. My family all had cold food but didn't want to say anything as they get embarrassed. But it doesn't take much. You ask politely and they responded the same.
Simon R — Google review
Find it incredible that my brownie, which I have, technically hasn’t even been made yet… (currently the 15th June and it’s 17:33).
Sade W — Google review
The drive through hours are stated as 24-hours, yet I have not been able to drive through after 11 pm across at least 5 separate occasions. They put cones across the entrance to the drive through. I have contacted McDonald's about this issue with no resolution. Either the restaurant should be changed to restricted opening hours, or they should honour the 24-hour status.
Joseph B — Google review
Ordered takeaway at 11pm, it got assigned a driver almost straight away, an hour and 20 minutes later they said there now looking for another driver, which took us way past midnight, after everywhere else was closed, thanks for wasting our time. This place used to 24 hours, guess no staff can be bothered to work past 11pm
Chris B — Google review
Well, it's a mcdonalds, so you can pretty much get what you would expect in most mcdonalds. The parking is limited, and the drive thru is small but adequate. There is outdoor seating at the front, plus ground floor and upstairs seating. The upstairs is probably the best, with slightly better views out of the huge windows. There is a lift between the 2 floors as well as stairs, and there are activity booklets and crayons for kids. The toilets weren't the cleanest, with one of them not flushing at all, so loses 1 star. Ordering wasn't possible from the counter, it was self ordering touch screens only, of which 2 were out of order, so there was a queue to order, plus the printer wasn't working so you have to remember your order number before it disappears off the screen.
Paul G — Google review
Easy to park and order with enough terminals available. We ordered via the app and the food arrived quickly. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food and drink was the usual standard. The restaurant was very dirty though and can’t understand why a couple of staff were loitering around the customer side of the counter doing nothing, while areas close to them were clearly dirty and needed cleaning. No cleaning took place while we were there after diners finished their meal and left the table. A potential breeding ground to pass on viruses. Too many convenient situated areas were reserved for staff and drivers, giving the feeling that they were more important than the customer.
Greg T — Google review
They obviously focus most of their priorities on just eat and other online food sites. Deliveries were going in and out but our food was left on a counter for 20 minutes. By the time recieved it, it was freezing cold and unedible. They remade it but the quality was still terrible and not worth the almost 1 hour wait

Does what it says on the Tin. The hunger buster is huge and I’m. Big eater.. I struggled to finish it. It’s just value for money, you don’t expect the quality you get for so cheap to be honest. Have been a couple times now, and will be going again.. cheap and cheerful.. nice and friendly staff.. it’s 5 star

What a great find! We went here on reviews (and the name XD) alone. We were a bit confused when we turned into a converted industrial area, but it was absolutely worth the effort to find. Staff was incredibly friendly and kind. The food and drinks were top notch. The atmosphere was fun and unique.
Ari S — Google review
The food was amazing. The place is so clean. The staff were absolutely lovely. They also sell stuff for your car or motorbike. There is parking which really helps, and men and ladies' toilets just a few feet away, and they have a few toys and books to keep the children entertained whilst waiting for food. Altogether, it was a fantastic lunch out with the family. We will be going back its a hidden treasure.

Apart from the main front of house staff that's on the tills getting confused with the order of the people in front of us and just about understood that we wanted an extra 4 sausages for our dogs. Just waiting for food, place was busy so there is a wait time. So that's a good sign...... Coffee tho is amazing!

Your classic "greasy spoon" but nothing greasy about it. A truly affordable cafe that isn't charging ridiculous prices for a bacon bap. Staff are amazing and service is great, really couldn't recommend highly enough, especially for those with large appetites... Can you beat the hunger buster?

If you’re struggling to find a nice place to take a bite while on a KETO diet I highly recommend their Chicken Caesar salad. Chicken is cooked to perfection and the flavours blend beautifully. Just ask for less sauce, no croutons and extra avocado 🥑 if you’re into avocados and love your meal.

Jenny's Restaurants in Andover, visited in February 2023, provided a delightful breakfast experience. The ordering process was efficient and hassle-free, with clean and organized tables and service areas. The food was promptly served after placing the order, accompanied by friendly staff members who contributed to the great atmosphere. The quality of the food was exceptional, offering both value and enjoyment. This restaurant has been frequented multiple times due to its consistently brilliant food and polite service.
Lovely food, fast service, very clean, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Will definitely visit again.
K H — Google review
While the young staff members provided lovely service, I must express my disappointment with the overall standard of Jenny’s. Unfortunately, the food felt cheap and not worth the price, leaving us dissatisfied with the value of our meal. What made the experience particularly unpleasant was the situation with another customer, who entered the restaurant in an unacceptable state—barefoot and dishevelled. Being seated so close to them made it impossible for us to continue our meal comfortably, ultimately forcing us to leave early. This is by no means a reflection on the individuals working at Jenny’s; however, the overall standards leave much to be desired. Regrettably, this will be our first and last visit.

Went today and didn’t expected it to be that busy. Ordered vegetarian breakfast and must say we loved it. Decent prices as compared to other places and considering inflation. Special shout out to staff, they were swamped with customers & still offered top class service respectful, polite and helpful. Keep up the good work and thank you👏

I wrote to Boswells website to say how wonderful the service was at Andover Boswells. I was particularly impressed by the service from Elias who was so polite and professional. Sometimes customer service can fall short but not here. Service with a smile! Such a lovely place, relaxed, good food and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended if you are looking for a local and friendly vibe, can’t wait for my next visit! Thanks again Elias and the team ✨☺️✨

We came here for refreshments after a day out in Andover. The menu was good lots of options, just ashame nothing really on the Vegan side. We had a tea and a coffee which was delicious. Was served by Elias in training, she was so lovely and attentive to us. Coffee was really nice as well. Didn't really think much to the other members of staff stood around eating bowls of chips behind the counter then making Paninis without gloves on as we were sat watching it. Hygiene isn't the best tbh

I’ve been coming to Boswells for several years. It is head and shoulders above every similar establishment in Andover. Really friendly staff, and well cooked and presented dishes for all pallets and pockets. Keep it up.
Grant E — Google review
Lots of space but unfortunately let down by slow service and then food presentation. I ordered a panini with tuna and it took about 20 mins to come out and then it looked like someone had sat on it. Tuna was spilling out the sides so much I couldn't pick it up.

Costa Coffee is a delightful counter-service coffee chain that serves up an array of hot beverages, refreshing iced coolers, and a tempting selection of sweet snacks and sandwiches. Perfectly situated at the bus station, it’s an ideal pit stop for your morning commute or a quick lunch break. The service is consistently fast and efficient, making it easy to grab your caffeine fix on the go. For those looking to save time, ordering ahead via their app can help you skip any queues.
The staff here are very nice, we had a toasted sandwich and each and shared a cake, all very nice.

Staff were unfriendly from get go. Unhelpful when telling me loudly that I couldn't use my app to pay for order and could only use it to collect points despite having done so on multiple occasions - is this Costa different from every other? Made me feel like a criminal for holding up the queue. Will stick to Nero or Coffee #1 next time.

I have been to many Costas as I like to travel the UK. Came to home town for some shopping and popped into Hugh street Costa. My husband and I was greeted by a very miserable young lady. She didn't greet us, no manors and when she bought out toasties over to us ... She just dropped them on the table. The store had at least 7 dirty tables I am hoping this was just a blip as normally costa are great

McDonald's is a beloved fast-food institution that has been serving up delicious burgers and crispy fries for decades. Known for its iconic menu items, the chain also offers delightful treats like the Oreo McFlurry, which many fans rave about. While enjoying your meal, you might encounter some lively teenagers adding to the atmosphere—sometimes a bit too much! However, amidst the hustle and bustle, there are always friendly staff members ready to make your experience enjoyable.

Both my brother and my friend ordered home delivery from this McDonalds restaurant in New street Andover and the food was terrible! The burgers had lettuce in after we specifically asked for NO LETTUCE and they were so full of wet salad and dressing that they just fell apart and were soggy and also the fries were cold and soggy and had blatantly been reheated! It went straight through us all -on both occasions. Im being generous by even giving them one star! We will never be using them again. WORST MCDONALDS IN ENGLAND
Matty S — Google review
Possibly the Worst McDonald’s in the country left waiting in the drive thru yet 3 people came behind us and left before us not only that I think it’s more surprising now when my full order is there compared to when they miss items like it’s really not hard. All the food was cold and no sauces in the bag plus no apology for the wait was just like take the food and go. Would recommend find any other McDonalds in Andover and go there instead cause this one is just terrible.

By far the best Starbucks I've ever been in, staff are lovely, drinks are nice and the staff are very helpful and catering. I recently had a incident where I dropped my whole fresh drink everywhere, the staff were amazing, the manager at the time (I've forgot her name) was amazing and even gave me a replacement drink, one of my favorite places to rest and write! As said above best Starbucks I've been in! The staff really make it, there isn't many places I'd sit and have a coffee but here is defo one!

I have given this store so many chances over the years, dozens of orders, across so many different members of staff, but the outcome is invariably the same. I don't like to write negative reviews, but I figure a big corporation can take it on the chin. Since this store opened, they regularly serve drinks incorrectly (wrong order, wrong size, don't have stock, drink in served in takeaway cups) plus service with a snarl. I know, it's horrible working with the great British public, and I'm sure I'd be miserable doing their job, but sadly in this day and age with customer service so shambolic in the end everyone will just sit in their homes ordering everything in or making it themselves. Then there'll be nowhere left for people to socialise. We are heading into dark times, and will only have ourselves (and the corporations that drove us to it) to blame.

Starbucks Andover. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. EV charging. Great place to relax with a coffee

Served today by a lovely young man called Orion who went above and beyond - the coffee, as usual, was spot on. Thank you Orion for being so kind, patient and helpful!

i was served by a lovely girl called “ims” (well at least that’s what was on her badge, she was so lovely and was so so polite, this place always have lovely staff and they are so so easy to talk to if something is wrong:)
Sam S — Google review
I would leave 0 stars if I could. Every time I come to this Starbucks they get my order wrong and the staff are incredibly rude. Most recently I ordered an iced matcha latte and got plain green tea with no milk. I went back in to get the drink I paid for and they made it wrong AGAIN. You charge £5 for the smallest drink size and can’t even make it right. I know what it’s supposed to taste like because this is my order every time. The person making my drink purposefully didn’t put any syrup in just to spite me. I know this because I watched her do it. This is unacceptable juvenile behaviour.

All good service today as usual. And I made Gold Level 🙂

During a recent visit to Tesco Cafe, I was pleasantly surprised by the delightful experience it offered. My family and I enjoyed a lovely meal that showcased fresh and tasty options at reasonable prices. The staff were incredibly friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made our lunch break enjoyable. Notably, they have recently introduced a vegan breakfast option that is both satisfying and well-seasoned—perfect for those seeking healthier choices!
We stopped by Tesco Café in Andover for lunch while on a holiday break in Winchester, and we were really impressed! The food was fresh, tasty, and well-priced. The staff were friendly, polite, and made us feel very welcome. The café was clean, comfortable, and had a nice, relaxed atmosphere perfect for a quick lunch during our trip. Great service and good food, definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

The food is good, fine, what you expect for the price etc I come in here quite a lot because it is decent for breakfast. But the last couple of times the staff have been quite rude to be honest. They told my partner off today for not wanting whipped cream. She told them too late apparently, like it’s such a big effort to remake a drink. I used to work at a cafe it’s really not a big deal and if you find it annoying that’s ok just keep it in your head. There’s no need to tell off a customer like you’re not their teacher. You’re not their mum. Time before that they told us off because they didn’t know how to make a drink they knew how to make perfectly well the last 10 times we’d been in It’s not a dealbreaker I like it fine in there. I’d still go back. The food is worthwhile. I just don’t understand why they keep having a go at us. It’s really weird and uncomfortable. Also there’s not enough 4 seat tables. There’s some but they’re always taken and they could fit more in if they took away some of the two seaters or just jig it around. It’s a minor complaint but it’s not ideal In summary though. Staff just need to cool it a little. I get that the job is hard and stressful but don’t take it out on me and mine. My life sucks I don’t need it

Looking for a quick breakfast in the area, I would have never imagined that Tesco cafe would be suitable. Much to my surprise, they have introduced (in recent months) a vegan breakfast for £5.75. It was alright, not at all greasy, a good portion, with a bit of seasoning it went down a treat. Staff were pleasant, service was efficient, I think the only negative was the lack of tomato ketchup available.

Had a big breakfast as soon as they opened, hash browns, bacon and beans must of been from the day before and warmed up......it wasn't nice. I felt a bit sick after.

I bought a can of Coke from this cafe and asked for it to be put in a cup and as I went to have a sip of my Coke it tasted like a wet dog. not happy unacceptable from Tesco’s.

Always super friendly service. Great portion sizes and good food for the price. Nothing spectacular but everything you want from a little cafe. Good options for dietary requirements and nice coffee as well. We come here regularly when we do our shopping - it’s great for some people watching too!

My husband and I and two grandchildren went in cafe today spent £25 food was very nice but was shocked when I asked for brown bread toasties and staff said as its not busy yes you can but normally only white.Thought they would be encouraging healthy eating.

Great community cafe located next to the cricket pitch in a lovely setting, reasonably priced coffee, and nice cake. The staff are friendly and the cafe is clean with a nice vibe.

Only popped in for a drink/ice cream. Was very impressed with the service and the choices in the shop, ABIT of everything. Nice cafe, sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere there. If I'm ever going through St Mary Bourne again I will definitely stop there again.

It is a fantastic little shop and a great place to buy goods, have some food, or just rest after a long dog walk!

I’ve been here before for food and drinks and was very good. It’s a lovely little shop, nice staff but this trip the coffee wasn’t great 🙁 Unfortunately the coffee was almost like it wasn’t tamped? Very watery even with a great coffee machine, quite disappointing after paying £3+ but will come back and give it another go at some point. Hopefully just a one off, will update the review once I’ve tried it again.

Lively Sunday stroll, finishing up with a good latte, bacon roll and memo drizzle cake, a lovely rarity to have well cooked bacon.

Wonderful little cafe, super service, one of the team dashing home to warm a samosa after the coffee team had ended service :)

During a recent road trip, I made a pit stop at Wild Bean Cafe and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their coffee. It was just what I needed to recharge for the journey ahead. The experience was so enjoyable that I would definitely make it a point to return on future travels. Plus, my partner is heading there for some training, which adds an extra reason to visit this cozy spot again!
Great experience. Dropping my missus bean down to get training
