Palmer's Village Cafe is a bustling eatery known for its unique, homestyle breakfast and lunch fare. Whether you're a local or tourist, this spot is perfect for starting your day with hearty southern-style creations. The Texas-sized French Toast, topped with bananas and strawberries, is a customer favorite. The menu offers an abundance of options including Challah French toast, granola pancakes, veggie omelette, and Benedicts galore.
We've been to Palmer's a few times, and it's a great breakfast spot. Yes, they can be very busy, and depending on how close you are to the door, it can be very disruptive. But the staff is friendly and the service is fast. We love the biscuits, and the way they cook their eggs is perfect. Definitely will visit again.

Walking into Palmer’s Village Cafe was a whole different vibe—I didn’t expect it at all. The place was clean, and the smell of good cooking hit me right away. The service was fast and attentive, and even though it was packed, our food arrived in a decent time. I do wish the seats were a little bigger and had some cushioning, but that’s a small trade-off for the great experience. If you go, trust me—the French toast is the way to go!

Is it worth the 20-30 minute wait or early wake-up call? Umm, yeah!! If you are looking for a tasty fulfilling breakfast in a quaint causual setting, this is the place to be. With a diverse menu offering, Palmer's Village Cafe is serving traditional and creative meals catered to their southern island residents and guests. Friendly servers provide prompt courteous service to all patrons. Seating is limited. Parties larger than 4, call ahead to notify them you're coming, though they don't take reservations. On street and Lot parking are available along Mallery Street and the surrounding areas.

If u want the best breakfast in St. Simons, this place is it! My wife had the banana pudding pancakes and I had the coastal delight which was awesome. Had great from my waiter. Only thing negative I say is we were seated in the back and it was alittle uncomfortable temp wise but I tell u the food is worth it though

Very cute and quaint restaurant. We came for breakfast. It was first thing in the morning, around 8 a.m. They opened at 7:30. It was already packed. But we were seated right away. We had the French toast and 2 egg breakfast with the pimento cheese grits bacon, sausage and a biscuit. You can tell that the sausage was homemade. It was very flavorful and delicious. Everything was nice hot and tasty.

Such a great place. Small menu and executed very well. Energy in the restaurant was fantastic. Servers moving none stop helping clear tables and getting people sat. I had their eggs beni over crab cakes. It was delicious. Their tomato soups was amazing.
Orlando A — Google review
Everything was excellent! I was even able to build my own omelet with crab meat, bacon and pimento cheese. The grits were great as well. A friend enjoyed the French toast. And a couple others had the steak and eggs. The coffee was ok: hot and unlimited. Would return on a later trip for sure.

We have been coming to the island for years. This place is always packed and we have never been able to get it. We decided to give it a try on a monday morning!!!!! Success!!!!! And let me tell you it is worth the wait!!!!! This is the best breakfast I have had on this island. The crab cake Benedict which I think is called surf squared is to die for!!!! The service is also exceptional!!!! We will be back and will wait if needed.

Start your day at Sunrise Grille, a cozy American eatery offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as outdoor seating. Surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful landscapes, the restaurant provides a perfect blend of nature and culinary delights. Conveniently located near various attractions and activities such as Jekyll Island Historic District and Driftwood Beach, it's an ideal spot to fuel up before exploring the island.
Great little place for a quick meal. 3 adults and 2 children. High chair available for 2 yr old. Kids menu offered was perfect for our two. Adult menu had a variety of options. I tried the crab meat patty burger and it was delicious. Others had the chicken cheese steak and Philly cheese steak sandwiches and both enjoyed. Service was spot on. Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Establishment was clean and kid friendly. No restrooms in cafe. For these you have to exit and go around the corner to the public restrooms. Overall, I would return on my next trip to eat again.

Great little place on the island. Wife and I stopped by for dinner on a Monday at around 6. We were seated right away at a table inside. They do have outside seating but it was a tad hot 😁. Our waitress came over right away and took our drink orders and was very attentive throughout our meal. Wife had the Turkey BLT Wrap with fruit and I had the Blacked Mahi Sandwich with Cheese Grits. All of the food was very good and was served very quickly. They have a good selection of draft beer and a full bar. I had The Mango Cart draft which was very good. What impressed me the most about this place other than the food was the way the entire staff worked together to make sure we were taken care of. I think there were 3 servers, a bartender and a hostess. During our meal every one of them had a part in helping either by bringing out food, refilling drinks and checking on us. It was a very enjoyable dinner and was not over priced like other places in area.

Crab cakes platter and teriyaki burger. The crab cakes platter was really good! Good flavor and not dry like some places. The fries needed another minute, they were almost soggy. The sauce with the crab cakes was good, tasted like ketchup and mayonnaise with some spices. The burger was thin and definitely a frozen patty. I would come back for the crab cakes. We would never order a burger from this place again. Sitting outside is right by the convention center drop off and parking lot, not the best atmosphere for outside seating but it is shaded.

I saw at the bar for a quick lunch. Ordered a slaw dog with Mac and an ordered of GA wild shrimp fried with their cheese grits. Needed a hotdog after the seafood I’ve been eating on the island. I’ll just say the service at the bar was fantastic and the fried shrimp was arguably the best I’ve had in my life. The seasoning they used is spectacular. This will definitely be on my list when I come back to the island. I’m telling, get the fried shrimp!
CH3F ( — Google review
They have definitely went up in price. I am pretty sure french fries haven’t went up that much. A side of fries is $5.29 I believe. So I was expecting a decent size. They also charge a 20% to go fee for “utensils and condiments”. This is a money hungry business and the guy at the bar is rude and unpleasant. Hopefully they read the comments and do better.
April Q — Google review
We ordered 4 meals. The salad was good with fresh ingredients. The grilled flounder was not well seasoned. My son said he enjoyed the turkey BLT wrap. The chicken tenders were good, but for an adult portion, there were so few and they were tiny. The thing that will make me reconsider returning is the 20% service charge for to-go orders - that is pretty steep. For our meals, the service charge totaled $16. I wanted to give 3 stars because of the service charge, but since the food was decent, I gave 4 stars.

My family visited Jekyll Island for a soccer tournament, and Sunrise Grille was a walkable distance from us at the Days Inn! The blackened scallops my husband had were delicious, and my Alaskan snow crab legs were EXACTLY what I hoped they would be! Staff was helpful and kind.

Brunch restaurant
Fine dining restaurant
The Grand Dining Room is a Victorian-style restaurant located within the historic Jekyll Island Club hotel. It offers a fine dining experience with continental and Southern cuisine, accompanied by live piano music. The restaurant has received AAA Four Diamond rating and serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Victorian tea. Reviewers praise the ambiance, likening it to dining in the Titanic's grand dining room at the turn of the century. The venue holds historical significance as it has welcomed prominent figures for over a century.
Eating breakfast here was a glorious experience, echoing grandeur of the Gilded Age through the opulent Roaring Twenties. My family and I had breakfast reservations for four at 8:30am on a weekday. The dining room was set to perfection as we were greeted with a welcoming smile and offered to pick any table we preferred. We selected a table by the window. It was wonderful to see a dining room set with white table cloths and China again. It seems rare nowadays. Once settled, we were promptly offered tea, coffee, or a collection of juices before embarking on the breakfast buffet and omelet station. There were no lines yet being so early on a weekday, but my oh my, what a beautiful feast! I was apprehensive that the food would be generic given the continental selection, but I was pleasantly impressed by the tastes, presentations, and twists to the menu. The French toast and overnight oats were my favorite, with a close third place by the bacon. In addition to the delicious food, the wait staff was attentive and happy. The tables were nicely spaced to keep the dining room at a quiet noise level. And the coffee and pots of tea kept flowing. A big plus! The only negative I can find with my dining experience is that I was mistaken that the extra fruit juices I ordered a la carte were part of the breakfast buffet. I wish I had known that only the juices on the buffet tables were included. However, when you are dining at such a fine dining establishment, you do not mind the extra price. I encourage dining here and will be a repeat customer! Thank you to the staff of the JIC for a splendid morning!

Open breakfast was absolutely horrible, only thing edible was the fruit and eggs, gravy and sausage were repulsive. $109 for 3 people with no drinks, (most free hotel breakfasts are way better) To top it off, upon checking out they tack on a 20% mandatory tip on breakfast without telling you. Staff were nice, sun room smelled like mold.

Only open for breakfast at Jekyll Island Resort Club. Service was great. Our waitress was really nice. The grand dining room is so spacious and beautifully decorated. The food is very pricey. So consider this before going there for breakfast. Also wish the grand dining room would be open for dinner but only opens for private events.

Lovely Sunday Brunch buffet. Pianist had a gruvy sound. Very nice atmosphere. The wait staff were helpful and friendly. The food was decent - well prepared. Seasonings were a little generic. Don't expect gourmet. Prices are outrageous for the food - it's a 1 time kind of thing. But It's definitely a cool experience The dining hall has fabulous history, and the architecture is all authentic to the period. There is a gift shop as well. I called and got machine, so I recommend making a reservation through the website.

Wonderful relaxing breakfast. Banana foster french toast for me with my husband ordering steak and eggs. The atmosphere is amazing. The hotel is beautifully restored and well maintained. We will be back.
Amy A — Google review
We went at 10am in the morning and though the place was about half full, it took us quite a while to be seated. We had some friends who got seated before us, but never got menus, so they left again before we even got in. Once seated, the waitress let us know she saw us and would be with us in a little. By the time she came back, we were ready with our orders. I had grabbed out some paper for the kids to draw and asked her if she had a couple pens we could borrow. She asked if it was for the kids because she could go grab them some crayons. They were much happier with more colorful options. I thought that was so sweet of her. We got a couple omelets, eggs benedict, local berries, coffee, and pineapple juice. Everything was delicious. Bill came out to about $70, I think. It was worth the wait, and the service and food were top notch once we got it.
Shey W — Google review
We ordered cocktails from the bar and we're sitting in the large room with the fireplace. We had to go and get the drinks from the bar, no service, had to pay first and also had to listen to some server/ bartender stories about recent wedding events while we waited. Not the flair that we envisioned when we decided to go there for drinks. The pricey cocktails were not worth the money. Old dried garnish, no style, wrong drinkware used. Disappointing. But the clubhouse is great and just sitting there feeling the old days was great.
Gottfried G — Google review
You definitely go to this place for the ambience of being in a 19th century dining room. The menu was very limited due to COVID. The food was okay, nothing special though the cheese grits were amazing. Service was overall pretty good and the prices were fair.

The Pantry, located at the Jekyll Island Club Resort, is a delightful cafe offering a variety of American breakfast options, lunch items, and delectable pastries. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast burrito or a light deli sandwich, this cozy spot has something for everyone. Guests can enjoy their meals indoors or opt for the charming veranda with views of the fountain and lush surroundings.
🥪 Best-kept Lunch Spot on the Island 🥣 I love this place! I’d eat here every day for lunch, easily. Everything is made hot and fresh to order, with a menu featuring salad, soup, sandwiches, and a front-facing cabinet of delicious desserts. Portions sizes are generous, and you can’t beat the atmosphere. The Pantry is attached to the hotel, and you can enjoy the luxury of eating out of the covered porch. Highly recommended!

The Pantry at the Jekyll Club is truly a hidden gem! Enjoying coffee or brunch out on the porch… it’s honestly my favorite place to be. The food was delicious, and the service was even better. Karissa is always wonderful—so kind, personable, and goes out of her way to make sure we have everything we needed. It’s rare to find a place with this much heart and hospitality.
Ansley G — Google review
We loved this little spot. Perfect location within Jekyll Island. It’s a cafe with a small menu. Prices are what you’d expect. We shared the Cuban which was fresh and hot with a lot of meat. The outside was crispy. We also had a banana smoothie and peach smoothie both with edible straws which was a nice touch. They tasted very cold and refreshing with great flavor. The staff is super nice and went out of their way to be friendly. We also finished it all off with an iced butterscotch latte with almond milk. Flavor was barely there but the smoothness was perfect. Overall we loved it!

I enjoyed this little shop. The atmosphere is great. I like the decor and it was very clean. One of the attendants was kind enough to check in the back to see if they had a specific item. I appreciated the extra effort. There is seating inside and outside on the beautiful porch.

Wife and I stopped by for a late lunch on a Thursday at around 3. There was no line to order and we helped by the very friendly staff member. Wife had the Chicken Salad Sandwich and I had the Club. Both were very large and tasted great. We have eaten here in the past and have never had a bad meal. You can’t go wrong stopping here for a quick bite. They also have a very good selection of beer in cans and bottles along with a good selection of wines.

This was a lovely place to get a little bit of food and a great coffee. It also is a great place that has outdoor seating and we were able to have our dogs join us on this adventure.
Gena L — Google review
I came here for the first time a couple years ago and had some of the best baked goods I’ve ever eaten. Of course this time around I was expecting the same level of quality and I was extremely disappointed. I work in food service and I can assure you that you will be paying high prices for low-end products coming from US Foods/Cisco. Most if not all of the baked goods they sell are not made in house anymore and unfortunately you can tell (not just the obvious look, but the taste). The first time I came to this spot they had hands down the best lemon bars around. When I walked in the store and saw the cheap pre-made US Foods bars I was so, so disappointed (I cannot stress enough these things are gross. They are sickeningly sweet and the texture is not great). I ended up getting a blondie bar instead, hoping it would be like what they had in the display case that looked decent, but it was not. It was soggy, tasted like fridge and also was obviously a pre-made packaged bar. The chocolate torte in the case was also pre-made, and the croissant my friend got was again, pre-made from US Foods. There is next to nothing in this cafe that is made in house. On top of the really bad pre-made baked goods, the staff had absolutely no idea what they were doing. I do not like to put down workers because at the end of the day, it’s not their fault what products management makes them put out, and I understand being new to a job. However…panicking over two tickets with less than five items on each of them is not a good look on the restaurant. It’s also not a good look when the cashier has never touched a POS system in their life. We waited about 30 minutes to receive a terrible blondie bar, mediocre plain croissant and a grilled cheese with pre-made bacon on it. Everybody that came in after us got their orders first (which was still a long time for some drinks) and seriously, the two people working behind the counter had absolutely no idea what they were doing. I believe a handful of people wanting to order walked out because they were taking so long to input our order (3 food items plus 2 drinks) because the cashier didn’t know where a single button was. It’s unprofessional and unfair to both the employee and customers to not train them at all before they’re put in front of people to handle orders. So, as much as I really hate to say it because I put this place on a very high pedestal, The Pantry is absolutely not worth your time or money. This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the services on property should match that standard. And like I said, this spot used to be on par with everything else, but it has gone all the way down hill. I have never been as disappointed with a cafe as I was with this one. The prices are insane for the cheapest pre-made products you can get and the service was utterly awful. There are plenty of fantastic restaurants on the island with better prices, amazing house made food and incredible service. Do yourself a favor and go to one of them instead of The Pantry.
Liv D — Google review
This is the spot if you want to feel loved and special while your order is taken and while your food is made. Also when you leave! The staff here is amazing! Especially the women on the day/s I visited. Both mornings I was greeted with love and happiness as my order was taken. We got coffee both days and also the breakfast sandwich and the breakfast burrito. Let me tell you, the place is packed and line nearly to the door and the folks behind the counter are on their A game the whole time. The young lady who was cooking every order (by herself) was unflappable. She grinded through multiple orders at a time making each item as the tickets flew in. The young woman on the coffee station would give any busy Starbucks a run for their money. Each order made to order and delivered with smiles and pleasantries. Can't say enough about the staff here. The food was great too! The breakfast sandwich comes loaded with the only way bacon should be served and that is crispy!. The breakfast burrito is stuffed and packed full and will easily satisfy your morning hunger! They have plenty of other options as well. Highly recommend The Pantry during your stay here!

Eighty Ocean Kitchen and Bar is a stylish resort eatery and bar situated at the beautiful Jekyll Island Club Resort. The open-air dining room offers a picturesque view of the pool, creating a delightful ambiance for diners. The restaurant features an open-concept design with a wood-fired hearth oven, adding charm to the space. Guests can enjoy fresh-caught seafood, burgers, and pizzas from their New American menu. The bar is known for its personable bartenders and classic cocktails.
It was me and my family’s first time going to Eighty Ocean. While my steak came out a bit more well than I wanted, the chef was ready to make it right, and brought out a replacement steak in such a timely manner. Faith was the manager on duty and was extremely personable, as was the rest of the staff we interacted with. Our server was Nicole and she checked on us multiple times throughout the night, gave good meal suggestions and was very communicative, especially since we had a member of our party with an allergy. All in all, they left such a good first impression. My mother and I will absolutely be returning to dine here again.
Jules D — Google review
Enjoyed a slow dinner at the bar, wait staff was really thoughtful and explained the menu to me for each course! Overall everything required salt and I’m not a salty food person and everything was slightly overcooked. The deviled eggs were my favorite of the meal! The apple tart was yummy too! I had high hopes for the carrots but they were all over done, over charred and needed more goat cheese. The mashed potatoes were good but I didn’t get the richness of the cream cheese I’d hoped for! The red fish was prepared lovely but I didn’t understand the meal overall. The creamed corn was too sweet for the meal and did not compliment the charred mushrooms in any way. All the elements were great, just not together as a cohesive bite. Overall, would return but listen to my gut when it comes to the menu, not the young bartenders.

We had a wonderful dinner at 80 Ocean. The gluten-free menu is excellent, and they’re very accommodating—happy to modify dishes if needed. I had a side salad and the redfish, which came with creamed corn and mushrooms. Everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. We also shared the gluten-free meatballs and GF rolls—both were fantastic! My husband ordered the crab cakes (not gluten-free) and the cream cheese mashed potatoes, which he really enjoyed. The ambiance was lovely, especially with the outdoor seating near the pool area we were just inside the doors in a small nook that was quaint. A special shoutout to the kind young man opening the front door—he was a delight. We ended up having a great conversation with him while waiting for our hotel shuttle, and it meant a lot, especially since he was working on the 4th of July. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and dietary needs, though he seemed a bit rushed and not overly friendly. It was a busy holiday, so we completely understand and appreciate the service regardless. Highly recommend 80 Ocean for a relaxing and accommodating dining experience on Jekyll Island.

My family came here to celebrate our wedding, and this place was the right choice. Staff was on their A game and very friendly. When my husband's steak came out medium well instead of med rare, it was quickly whisked away, and it's replacement was brought by who we assume was the manager on duty with an apology. Other than that, the food was lovely, the drinks were tasty, and the ambience was exactly what we wanted: a bit refined without being stuffy. Would definitely choose again.

Staying at the club, we were advised re this restaurant. If one thoroughly read these reviews, one will pick up the same issues… confused service and annoyingly having to deal with it, overpriced food, ill prepared, etc. In my case I was served the worst food and my husband the wrong order… server stayed she was new and they were short staffed. Replacement not worth it… time or taste. Earlier before seated, I spent a lot on gift items they were selling. This, plus exp unsatisfying dinner. Back in our room we tried contacting - unable to the night there due to their absence- manager who did not return call. Finally after too much focus, when able to report issues, only a pittance was returned to our cc. Restaurant very loud as well. Due to limitations while staying at the club, we moved on, ate at very basic grand dining room - no carving table at Thanksgiving, and overbooked… had to wait for table although prior reserved and guest, not locals….really disappointing except for breakfast cafe. Eight oceans cast a bad taste in more ways than one- then less mediocre dining experiences.

Eighty Ocean is a wonderful place to have brunch on the weekend while in Jekyll Island! Tasty food, healthy options, and great drinks! Our server was awesome! He really worked hard to make sure we had an enjoyable lunch experience. He even comped one of our drinks because he thought it did not come out fast enough. How rare and awesome is that!! We really appreciated the courtesy and his consideration. This restaurant has a very large bar and lots of window seating with a great view of the pool outside. It's definitely a nice spot for a meal or just to come in for drinks at the bar.

Came for the Saturday music and brunch. Ate the corsair omelette with sausage, cheddar cheese, and mushrooms. We substituted a small salad in place of the potatoes. Personally, the egg of the omelette was a bit to fluffy with either water pr something added. The ingredients were excellent. The salad was fresh, crispy and a delightful side. Loved the pickled onions. Jordan, our server, was very accommodating and attentive. The guitar player was really good and gave us the ambiance that we desired. We'd definitely return when in the area.

Tortuga Jacks Jekyll is a vibrant Mexican restaurant offering a taste of Mexico in a relaxed and festive setting. Located on Jekyll Island, it provides beachfront views and a menu that celebrates the flavors of Mexican cuisine. The restaurant offers an array of Mexican favorites, including Baja Fish Tacos and Banging Shrimp Tacos, as well as popular local dishes like Big Boy Burrito and Jack's Chimi.
We always come here when we're on the island. The food is always good. The staff is friendly and willing to answer questions to help you decide what you want. The live music was loaded with so much nostalgia that we had the best conversations all night, even after we left. Always a good vibe!
Erin V — Google review
As anyone who knows Jekyll Island knows there's not a lot of food options on this rather quiet island. And like any touristy island, the restaurants don't have to compete or maintain impeccable standards because they don't rely on repeat customers, they rely on the happenstance tourist who might never be back to the island again. This restaurant is good but mediocre. It didn't knock my socks off but it wasn't terrible either. Upon arrival, I was seated immediately but all of the tables that were empty were dirty and not wiped off. I asked one of the waitresses if she could kindly wipe the table off before I sit down and she "half wiped" it. I asked if she could then wipe off the part she missed and her response is that she is from the Caribbean and that was considered clean to her. (I then asked where in the Caribbean and she said the Bahamas.. which then I immediately thought how wonderful, as of course, the Bahamas is NOT in the Caribbean Sea.) The actual waitress was pleasant and friendly. The tortilla chips came out quickly but they seemed like hard, bagged tortillas with no flavor or salt. The salsa was in a small bowl and was not very flavorful either. The food was okay but not anything that made me feel like I need to come back again the next day. There was outdoor seating but the bugs on the island were out in full force as the sun had set and sitting outside is asking to be eaten alive by the mosquitoes. The parking lot at night is so dark. They have low light and orange lights for the turtles but trying to get to your car after meal and after sunset, you need to be careful to not trip and fall in the darkness. Would I come back next time on the island? Maybe. I would consider giving a second chance.

Went for lunch on a Tuesday. This place has ample seating and it's absolutely beautiful to sit on the deck outside. Bar is positioned great. Stage for music. top notch location. Food was all very good. We had taco sprcial- 2 tacos for $6.99. We went at a very busy time. service was a little slow but staff very friendly and considerate- everyone was leaning in to help. Really enjoyed. I would return.

We were seated quick with it being a Saturday evening. I wish I could say it was a great experience. We were seated and it took 25 min for someone to come get our drink order. Finally the bartender saw what was happening and he went inside to see who had our section . He came back a little upset and said no problem I will take care of yall. He was awesome he made what was turning out to be a horrible experience to night we will remember. We had great food and drinks . It was like a movie scene . Seating outside , hanging lights , live music, the weather was breezy and the views were amazing . Oh and Georgia beat Tennessee!

Our first time here and won’t be our last. We were pleasantly surprised that they had live music so early in the afternoon. Great outdoor seating, amazing views and a super chill vibe. The food was great and pricing is as reasonable as one could expect.

Ordered peel and eat shrimp and chicken fajitas. Both were excellent. Huge portion of chicken. The food came out quick. Dog friendly patio is a plus.

We had a great dinner at Tortuga Jack’s Baja Mexican! I ordered the Mex Bowl with grilled chicken and really enjoyed the fresh and unique flavor, it was a fun twist on the usual. The guacamole wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but still tasty. My husband had the Diablo Shrimp, which came in a creamy, spicy sauce that packed a flavorful punch. Overall, everything was well-prepared and satisfying. We’ll definitely be back!

We spent the day on the beach this past weekend and decided to grab a bite before heading home (as we live in the area). The wait to sit was no problem and we were taken right in to the table. We had a Mexi Bowl with Chicken, Mexican Street Corn, and Quesadillas. The chips were a little stale tasting and really had no flavor. We did order guacamole and it was good. There was a lot of food in the bowl and it was good, full of black beans, lots of chicken, rice, etc. and really enough I think for 2 people - so worth the order. The quesadillas were very good and crispy. The street corn was good although a little too much lime juice on it for our liking (made portions too tart to eat). I ordered a Miami Vice and it was good although a little pricey ($12). Our waitress Harley was very good and pleasant. Would not make a special trip to eat here again but would stop in for a quick bite if on the island.

Had a great meal! Started with the soft, onion focaccia bread. Then a HUGE, slightly peppery caesar salad, and ended with the seafood fettuccine. All were excellent! Only slight negative was that we ordered the mile high peanut butter pie. Good, but far from a mile high. Would definitely eat here again though.

Had an amazing trip from a trip to the amazing Resturant ECHO! Ben our fabulous waiter, suggested everything correctly and perfectly! Easy to just sit back enjoy the view and not have to worry about the menu items! Made such a stunning memory, we are planning the next time we can escape to the King and Prince and have the fabulous pleasure of great food at ECHO being lead by Ben and great comfort of amazing food!

Beautiful views. The service was amazing. Food was great. There was music in the background. We had the fish nachos as an appetizer— highly recommend! The peach sweet tea (not on the menu) was so good! There’s an outdoor area where kids were playing in the grass.

Came here tonight for dinner. Our server JD was very knowledgeable on the menu and attended to our every need. We had the smoked deviled eggs and the Rockefeller oysters. The deviled eggs left something to be desired but the group enjoyed the oysters. For entrees we had the pork chop with broccolini and mashed potatoes, the salmon with rice, the Coastal Cobb salad. We all enjoyed our entrees and took a shrimp and grits to go for another person in our party. We also had some good hot tea as well. Overall, we enjoyed our meals. Give this place a try!

Came for a day trip to enjoy the sunshine. I heard this place was amazing. It absolutely was! I had the fish tacos with truffle fries. 10/10. Probably the best fish tacos ive ever had!! Drinks were pretty good. Service was good for how busy it was! They were working very hard! Ben was awesome. Jordan was sweet. Steve was knowledgeable. There was another girl behind the bar but I didn’t catch her name! She was extremely hard working and kind. Can’t wait to come back! So fun and pretty!

Outstanding service and fun atmosphere. I ate at the bar and everyone was having a great time and very chatty. Great mix of visitors and locals. The ribeye was fantastic served medium rare with great sides.

I ate here with a large group last week for dinner, and it was a great experience. The waitress was very attentive, refilling our drinks and checking in on us often. 5/5 for service. The food was wonderful! The homemade bread and truffle fries were my favorite. I ordered the shrimp and grits as my main and it was very good and very filling. The grits were extra cheesy! The restaurant has a nice view of the beach. There's lot of options to choose from on SSI, but I definitely recommend Echo if you're looking for something that is a step up from casual but not too fancy.

We came for Sunday brunch, but wound up eating from the bar menu. They do not have a cook, they have a stone cold chef! I had the Cobb salad with shrimp and smoked salmon, which was fabulous. One of us had a flatbread was so good. One of us had the fish tacos, amazing. And one of us had the barbecue chicken sandwich, which she just kept on and on and on about how fabulous it was. It had homemade pimento sauce! Just really really good food! Jackie, great waitress and she really took care of us. Great experience.

Open seven days a week, this cozy shop has been delighting customers with its delicious aromas and flavorful offerings for the past 8 years. Great coffee, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service! The coffee was rich and flavorful, perfectly brewed. The shop itself was clean and cozy, making it a great spot to relax or get some work done. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a great experience. Definitely a place worth visiting!

I can’t visit St. Simons Island without stopping by Wake Up Coffee Company several times during my stay. They offer a well-rounded selection of hot and cold coffee drinks, along with a small but excellent assortment of bakery items. The scones, muffins, and power balls are all top-notch. Yes, it’s a little pricey — but most good coffee shops are these days. It’s absolutely worth it.

A decent enough shop. The latte (caramel) I had was a bit too acidic for my taste, but my friends liked their drinks (mocha, rasp. honey vanilla). We had to stand in line for about 15 minutes to order and wait another 10 for our drinks. Most of the syrups and pastries are made in house, which is nice. I was going to try a danish, but they sold out while I was in line. I don't know if I would go back on my own to be honest.

This is my go to coffee place whenever we visit the island. I get a bag of The Whistler blend ground to brew at the house. It has such a unique flavor, strong but not bitter. They always have cool t-shirts and mugs available as well.

Great service, good bagels. The everything bagel we ordered was a little tough and over cooked, but the plain bagel was chewy and perfect.

Ordered 3 day ahead of time for our vacation. We were ordering a large order. The order was lost and when we called to check an hour before pick-up, they had to find it. The regular bagels were pretty good. The gluten free bagels were not. It’s almost better to not provide gluten free if it’s not good. It was super dense and grainy. If you use the right flour, you can create really light gluten free items. Price was fine. Edit to reply to response: It wasn’t a catering order. Pick up was Monday at 8:30 am. My mom called to confirm before she drove over. They didn’t know what she was talking about and had to search for the order that I had placed several days before. This was at 7:45 am. They did find the order and it was ready when she got there. If you don’t require pre-ordering for orders of 6 or more, you need to edit your app.

I ordered the bacon, egg & cheese on a garlic bagel, and it was delicious. I loved the garlic bagel, I'm a big garlic girlie 🧄🧄 I wished it was a little more full though, and the only reason I docked a star. But still, it was incredibly tasty. We're only here visiting on vacation, but I'd return if we're ever back here again!
Halie P — Google review
Refered by a family friend. My daughter and her husband picked up several bagel sandwiches plus enough bagels for our crew for the week we visited St. Simons. I tried the tuna melt (very good), and the cheesesteak bagel sandwich… plus various bagels during breakfasts. All were pretty good!
Richard B — Google review
I hate that this was so disappointing. My husband & I really wanted to like this place. We were going to go to McDonald’s for biscuits but we saw Sandy Bottom and said “let’s do the local place instead!” I’m a bagel lover… but these were not it. Their bagels are very dense and they don’t toast them properly to help with texture. I would be interested in taking a couple bagels hope to split & toast them properly, but in the meantime the breakfast sandwich I got was just too bread-y and needed more texture. I really think the quality of their sandwiches could be so easily improved if they would just toast them correctly (re: toast the middle!)
Klaire R — Google review
This place has so much potential, but it’s definitely lacking. it’s a cute little place with a good menu and ok food. Unfortunately, the staff may have been just having a bad day, but my order was incorrect and had a hair in it and my husband mentioned the “toasted” garlic on his sandwich was more burnt than toasted.
Amanda S — Google review
Some of the worst coffee available on the island. It’s absolutely terrible. Do not order a cup of coffee. The bagels selection is fantastic. It’s a perfect place to grab breakfast before the beach. Order ahead using their app, this place can get busy and they make every sandwich fresh.

I'm going to give this place another try on an upcoming trip to SSI but last time my husband and I agreed that what we got were not bagels. Decent bread maybe, but not bagels.

WOW, These donuts are heavenly! The glazed donut was perfection. The cinnamon roll was exceptional. The sticky buns were out of this world. The "Cat Head" ( jalapenos, cheddar, bacon and scallions) biscuit was phenomenal. The line can get very long, so get there early. You will not be disappointed.

Watched this in a video somewhere back in 2022 and stopped by one morning on my bike. Needless to say, this is a staple of our family beach trip each year. They open at 7, GET THERE EARLY if you want to sit inside and enjoy the vibes! The service is second to none, and every time I am inside I feel Inspired to open my own breakfast business one day. TIP: GET THE MAPLE BACON DONUT. You won’t regret it. They usually have a few staples (like chocolate and strawberry) but they often do other unique kinds of donuts. If I could give it six stars, I would!
Aaron R — Google review
We had to wait in line for about 40 minutes, with two small kids, but it was honestly so worth it! We all shared 6 donuts, plus one bacon, egg & cheese on a brioche bun, and I got a brown sugar iced latte for myself. The raspberry Berliner was the best raspberry jelly I've ever had, and ergo, the best raspberry donut I've ever had. Everything was amazing though!
Halie P — Google review
The donuts are ahhhmazing! Tried a vanilla creme filled and apple of my chai. Both were delicious. The box felt really heavy for just 2 donuts, but the donuts themselves were light, airy and just sweet enough. The apple of my chai was my favorite, the frosting or whatever was piped on top....pretty sure I heard angels singing when I took a bite. OMG!! If you haven't, definitely try them. You won't be sorry! Can't wait to try the pistachio creme next visit 😍 😋🤤

This was our first visit to Dolce Dough upon the recommendation from a family member. It did not disappoint!! The donuts were delicious, and the tart was such that you craved more as soon as you finished. Get there early!! Or order ahead, they will sell out😊
Michelle P — Google review
I would say, whenever I placed my order online, it's well organized and the employees were super nice. With that being said, I love a good cinnamon roll and this one wasn't it. It was overly cooked on top and still a little doughy in the middle. The icing was very thin, perhaps it's suppose to be a glaze, I'm unsure and the icing didn't cover the entire cinn roll. It just wasn't well made on this particular day. My co-workers suggested for me to try Sweet Mama's cinnamon roll. I will keep you guys posted on that review. I will give Ducle Dough another try because my ham biscuit was tasty, next time I will ask for extra ham.

The doughnuts are delicious, the decor is cute and retro, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The raspberry/pistachio glazed was a family favorite! I highly recommend, and we will definitely be back next time we’re on the island!

Mallery Street Cafe is a cheerful, family-owned restaurant offering breakfast and lunch options. The cafe has a casual atmosphere with outdoor seating available. The menu, curated by owner Lance Williams, features diner-style dishes at reasonable prices. From classic biscuits and gravy to eggs benedict and various omelets, the chef-driven local cuisine caters to diverse tastes. Visitors can enjoy freshly baked treats like the popular chocolate chip cookies unique to St. Simons Island.
Our first visit for breakfast was awesome. It was very busy, but we only waited about ten minutes for a table. I ordered the eggs Benedict with potatoes, and my husband had a New York strip steak with eggs, a biscuit and fruit. It was all excellent, and the service was great too. Can’t wait to come back on our next trip

Amazing breakfast/brunch place. Plates arrive hot and fast. Exceptional Eggs Benedict and also the Southwestern omelette are highly recommended as well as the biscuit and perfectly crispy potatoes. Present and helpful service but not overly so, just a wonderful way to greet the day. Highly recommended.

Stopped into the cafe today like we often have through the years of island visits. As always, very yummy food and excellent service. Kara took great care of us from start to finish including offering refills and to go drinks along with a couple of non food related questions. Just a delight all around. It had been a bit since we’d been so new to us was an additional food and bar area (picture included) that apparently jams until 2am! Our grilled asparagus salad with chicken and Greek salad with blackened shrimp were fantastic. The blackened shrimp were very tasty and warm as a nice contrast to the Greek salad components and dressing.

Fantastic Eggs Benedict and variations! The crab instead of ham is my favorite! Not sure why this place doesn’t show up in Google search for breakfast but it should! There’s a short wait for a table weekends but worth your patience.

Hello, my name is Haley Marion and I am reviewing Mallery Street Cafe. It is located on the strip of the pier on St. Simons, and the address is 408 Mallery St, St Simons Island, GA 31522. My friend and I visited this last Sunday, October 12th for brunch. We ordered the 2 Egg McIntosh– toasted English muffins, topped with crabmeat and hollandaise, as well as the Northern three egg omelet, which consisted of steak, onion, peppers, and provolone, both with a side of potatoes. The McIntosh I was not a fan of, but the omelet was solid. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned- crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. For drinks we got a cappuccino and a virgin espresso martini, both were well made. If you have ever had Wakeup Cafe, they use their beans and it is one of my favorites. The cafe is easily accessed, but easy to look over. It is on the end of the strip, connected to other shops. It is only marked with a sign on the side of the building, so you wouldn’t notice it without reason. This is a very casual breakfast cafe, full of families and all types of groups and everyone is in their daily clothing. Being a Sunday morning, it was packed. We were squeezed in at a table that was directly behind the host booth. The staff were being pulled many different ways, so the waitering was sparse, but our waitress was very friendly and efficient. If you are with a group that has different tastes, the menu was extremely varied for breakfast, there was even angel hair pasta on the brunch menu. One thing is that the restaurant is a little pricey, as expected from the island. Our bill ended up being $54 before tip. The hours are 7 AM–2 PM for breakfast, and reopens 4 PM–2 AM for the bar, so it is open for most of the day! At night I definitely recommend going, the cafe turns into a bar that often has live music. The crowd at night is often older couples that are a joy to talk to!

Great local breakfast! I had the eggs McIntosh (with crab) and corned beef hash. The hash was cooked perfectly crispy and it was all delish. I tried the omelette and it was nice and fluffy. Highly recommend this local joint!

Great place for breakfast!! We enjoyed a few breakfasts here during our annual February visit! First off they know how to cook eggs!! They know what over medium means! Next the coffee is always hot & fresh! Their bacon is AMAZING!! Nice & crispy!! And just tastes so good. Definitely not too salty, just excellent!! Their toasts are delicious, at least the wheat & white, that we had. I enjoyed a 3 egg omelet with spinach, tomato, onion & bacon. It was really good. The pancakes were very big and yummy! The breakfast potatoes are really good. Although a bit too salty. I guess my only critique is too much salt on the potatoes. And the service was top notch! The servers worked together as a cohesive team and communicated nicely with each other. Constantly checking on each other's tables. It was nice to see that. And the wait for your food order was minimal. I mean they are fast!

Boardwalk Deli is a full-service deli located at the Jekyll Market in Beach Village, offering made-to-order sandwiches daily from 11:00 a.m. However, it's not just a deli; it also functions as a grocery store and gift shop with an ice cream parlor. Visitors can find everything from fresh cut deli items to groceries, frozen foods, and canned goods. Additionally, there's a small BBQ restaurant inside.
Cool little shop, lots of sweet treats in here! My family went for ice cream after the beach and the staff was very patient and friendly. All my kids and my wife wanted to sample like every flavor before picking one. We all sat outside at their tables and enjoyed the ice cream!
J N — Google review
The deli sandwich’s were fresh. Nothing fancy. Good choice if you want fresh over fried and greasy. The tuna salad was really good, I think a different bread would be better. The Italian was overwhelmed on a ciabatta roll and should be warmed not cold. The California club was decent. This is a market with several vendors and a small grocery store/sunblock etc. It’s overwhelming and very hard to walk around if crowded. You pay at different registers for certain items. I would go back but would request what I prefer instead of going how it comes off the menu.
Rachel — Google review
SIGNS say Jekyll Market This place is NOT just a deli !! This is a full grocery store/ gift shop AMD ICE CREAM! We just so happened to walk in looking for a drink and we stayed for an hour shopping and getting food for our beach trip. They have a small BBQ restaurant inside. There's also a fresh cut deli section. They have full service isles of groceries also, frozen foods, canned goods, and much more! It's a one stop shop if you're in the area and need a few oddball things. We got the rotisserie chicken, grapes, strawberries, and a few beach items. It was under $50. Lots of tables for sitting and enjoying ice cream or anything else that was bought in the Market.
Toni C — Google review
The menu has gluten free bread and pizza, which is why we chose this place. When we ordered the guy behind the counter said they don't have GF bread and never have.
Cindy G — Google review
It's great if it's open. Fun menu, high quality product ordering systems awful you check a box on a piece of paper for one sandwich. It makes sense if I was ordering 6 sandwiches but for just one it's a bit much. Inside the market, store is cluttered but there's lots of snack options.
Matt R — Google review
Went in to buy sandwiches to go for our picnic. We were abruptly told they were still on breakfast and not making lunch, which would start at 11:00 am. It was 10:55 am. With that attitude, I would not stick around, nor would I go back. They need some lessons in customer service.
Phyllis G — Google review
First off let me say the sandwiches well very tasty... Saying that there were a few issues... The person reviewing the orders was hard to deal with. Second I was overcharged buy 6 dollars and you aren't given a receipt to verify your order. Beware and double check your cost before you order

If you're dreaming of a perfect beach morning, Sweet Mama's is the place to be! From mouthwatering donuts to scrumptious cinnamon rolls and blueberry muffins, there's always something tempting waiting for you.
Sweet Mamas in Saint Simons is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and outstanding service. The highlight of our visit had to be their pork pops—perfectly seasoned and delicious. They were packed with flavor. The rest of the menu was just as impressive, offering a variety of fresh and flavorful options. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for both family meals and casual gatherings. If you’re ever in Saint Simons, Sweet Mamas is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back for more pork pops and to explore the rest of their incredible menu!

Wow!! How have I overlooked this place! So good! Those Pork Pops are out of this world! Think sausage balls but in a light airy biscuit mix. These are definitely not your Paula Dean sausage balls. These are heavenly bites. And one word of advice- don’t eat one on the way home or they will all disappear- especially if they are hot out of the oven. And Grace behind the counter was super friendly and helpful with all my questions. Everything is fresh and homemade. From muffins to amazing looking sweet rolls. Highly recommend you put this on your top list for Saint Simons. Yum!
Gail C — Google review
As a highly rated breakfast & bakery spot in a touristy place, I expected a more welcoming environment. It was almost a stale attitude, which I found so uninviting first thing in the morning! I also found it odd that I had to give my order twice, usually we order a bunch of stuff and as soon as it’s out of my mouth it’s forgotten. I went for the bakery since we love pastries and donuts, the donuts were really dense and while my 1 year old devoured it I wouldn’t eat them. The muffins were giant and soft and enjoyed. The cheese danishes were okay, I should have tried it warmed up like one of the reviews said. Lastly, the cinnamon rolls were not soft but not rock hard and overall it was a meh experience.
Malia R — Google review
The absolute best bacon egg and cheese muffin and you MUST try the pork poppers- melt in your mouth! No lattes or crossiants here but the chocolate chip muffin was also delicious and the sweetest lady checked us out and realized we weren’t local and got us some of the poppers to try

Sweet Mama’s Bakery is a great breakfast spot. Order from a tantalizing display case of baked goods which includes the best cinnamon roll that we have found on the island, also delicious fruit turnovers. If you know, you can order bacon which comes in a generous portion. While it may be missed by some visitors, the locals know it well, as the friendly cashier recognized most by name. We always visit when we are on the island, often more than once.

The best biscuits I've found anywhere. Perfect every time. 10/10. Only one note: An expanded coffee program would go over well.

If you aren't eating breakfast here then you're crazy! The food is out of this world for breakfast. There is a level of care taken in baking and cooking the food. I would highly recommend this place.

Larry's Giant Subs is a popular chain known for its made-to-order submarine sandwiches. The Jekyll location, situated near the Jekyll Market, offers a clean and inviting space with a huge selection of delicious sandwiches, salads, and beverages. Customers praise the fresh ingredients and reasonable prices. The staff is described as super friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. Visitors highly recommend Larry's Giant Subs for a delightful dining experience on Jekyll Island.
My daughter and I stopped in for our first visit. The workers were extremely friendly and helped us to order. The hot chicken sub was very good with an exceptional bun. We will definitely be back.

The young lady's were not that friendly taking our order. The philly cheese steak steak needs to be smaller pieces too big/thick slices. Wasn't that good cut of meat as well. The bread was good. I like the location and the decor but what's the point of that if the food subpar and so is the service?
Kyle — Google review
I had a delightful evening experience. The service was excellent, and the food was exceptionally fresh. I ordered the Philly, and the ingredients were not only fresh but also packed with flavor. I requested extra mayo and spicy sauce, which added the perfect kick. Think of this philly, like fine dinning packed with real sirloin steak. My wife opted for the tuna, and it was equally delicious.

Yum! Had a turkey sub with the hubby after the beach while our toddler played in the spray fountain. Went back in for some dip n dots dessert. Would recommend!
Alyson M — Google review
I consider Subway to be your average run off the mill sandwich shop. This place is a couple notches below that. The bread is nothing special. The sandwiches themselves aren't anything special. There's just nothing special about this place whatsoever. Just a boring old sandwich shop that anyone can recreate with some grocery store sub rolls and some Oscar Mayer deli meat. However, the food was edible, so it is what it is. Ultimately, if I ever find myself close to this place again, I'll walk in the other direction. The biggest plus about this place is that I'll forget about it quickly since they don't provide anything worth remembering.

Every time we come here on vacation we eat at Larry’s at least 2-3 times. Perfect size, price, and options and one of the better subs Ive ever had. My only complaint is they don’t have one back home in Colorado!
Jack M — Google review
The Italian Big One: oh yeah, that’s a meaty sandwich, especially as a 12-inch. The Killer Sub is equally delicious if you don’t want pepperoni 😀
Dean D — Google review
Very good food. Great, friendly and fast service. Clean restaurant and cute set up! Between 10-15 a sub!

This charming spot offers a fantastic selection of grab-and-go breakfast and lunch options that showcase the award-winning flavors of Georgia Sea Grill. Whether you’re in the mood for homestyle take-and-bake meals or quick bites like biscuits and gravy or cheesesteaks, this eatery has something to satisfy every craving.
I recently had brunch at their place and tried their avocado toast. It was absolutely delicious! Their service was incredibly fast and friendly. I think they could really improve their beverage options to make it perfect.

Pros: Food was delicious! I was nervous but it didn’t disappoint. We both had grit bowls and warmed croissants. The grit bowl had eggs, bacon, sausage gravy, chives, and cheese. The grits were cooked to perfection and seasoned well. I didn’t have to add any S&P. We also purchased pecan shortbread cookies… I’ll be back to rate those once I open the box. Cons: Took a little longer than expected before a waitress came over but good service when she did. Parking!!!!!!! Very difficult to find a spot on the lot.

I was looking for a quick place to get into for lunch on Sunday, just after noon. Walked in had options on outside patio or inside, sat right down no wait. Ella took care of us, drinks immediately, answered all our questions, took our order. I had biscuits and gravy, very good with plenty of sausage. Wife had cheesesteak, delicious with sweet peppers. Good meal, attentive staff. They were also set up for togo meals, prepared ready to cook meals, shrimp and other meats. Atmosphere was great for what it was, like sitting in the middle of a country store.

Incredible little place that’s great for lunch or to-gos. I had the Asian Salad with Chicken. The sesame ginger dressing was outstanding and loaded with fresh greens and goodies. Great casual atmosphere

Very delicious local restaurant. The breakfast sandwich and French toast meals were very good. My husband got a cheese danish and said it was great as well. The staff were very friendly and provided great service. The pricing isn’t bad either especially with the quality of food you’re getting. We want to come back to try more of their baked goods and their dinners menu!

Best breakfast on the island! Avocado toast is awesome and friendly staff.

I'm generally only in St Simons once or twice a year and had not noticed this place last year. They're just over a year old and I was really impressed. The place is beautiful, plenty of seating, even outdoor and very clean. I had the breakfast sandwich which was scrambled eggs cheddar cheese and some really awesome bacon between two slices of my choice of breads, I chose the multigrain. I will be coming back, the grab and go selection was pretty enticing. The huge fresh salads with grilled chicken caught my eye, looked like two and a half lunches to me!

Cute, quaint Island cafe. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Although I didn't eat at the restaurant, the little tables and booth were available for use with enough space between. Their grab n go fridges had good-looking meals to go. I enjoyed a grit bowl with a orange juice from the drink cooler. Visit this place for brekky or brunch.

We get the mini crepes and it’s absolutely amazing! My daughter loves it too! I love supporting local business and we love sweet and savory treats and this is the perfect spot after a strolling in the pier. I met the owner and he is really awesome and very accommodating!! I find out that they will open another location in downtown Brunswick and we cannot wait to try it!!
Jessa F — Google review
Love getting a crepe from either location when I’m in town. This visit I did the dine in option for the first time and tried one of the new crepes. Full service dine in is only at the Brunswick location. The crepe was delicious as usual (butter cookie), relaxed atmosphere, and friendly staff. All the savory and sweet options that I’ve tried have been perfectly delectable.

You need to add this to your visit to the island. They have a great selection of sweet and savory crepes. I’m eating the Hangry man as I write this review. Lots of filling for the money.
Ben R — Google review
Absolutely delicious! and the Owner is very nice!! The crepe was perfectly thin, soft, and just the right amount of crispy on the edges. The filling was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced, not too sweet or too heavy. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and put care into every detail. One of the best crepes I’ve ever had!! can’t wait to come back for more! A must have!
Xelle B — Google review
open up downtown Brunswick today, and it is so good we eat breakfast and dinner here. The crepes are the best I have had since living in France in the late 80's.

Family summer vacation 6/2025, I have been to St.Simons Crepes on a previous visit and I wanted to eat breakfast on this visit. Well the rest of my family enjoyed and raved about how delicious fresh and hot the savory crepes were that we went back for a second breakfast out. Delicious fresh ingredients

Enjoyed a nice breakfast at St Simon’s Crepes. Had to wait 30mins to get in. Was it worth it, ehh I would go back but not for a wait. The food and service was great. Came out quick and hot. My friends enjoyed their food, got a crepe and chicken n gravy. We all said we go back but not for waiting 30mins. I do recommend trying the food.
