Absolutely love when my clients choose this location to get married!! The staff is amazing, cheerful, full of great energy, and so helpful. The grounds are gorgeous. I almost get overwhelmed every time I photograph here because it's just acres and acres of the most beautiful photo locations you could imagine. This place is full of endless opportunities!

We recently had our wedding reception at the Pond House and it was nothing short of amazing. The staff at the Pond House, especially, Charlene, Diana and Alissa, just went above and beyond for us. Alissa, our wedding day of coordinator, was very personable, professional and detailed. She was so on top of everything and very communicative leading up to the big day. She ensured that everything ran smoothly and that we were all well taken care of! She also did a wonderful job helping our garden wedding vision come to life! Besides, the amazing staff, the venue itself was just stunning with the beautifully decorated banquet hall, bringing the outside beauty inside. We loved having our cocktail hour outside on the terrace and then the remainder of the reception in the main hall. The food was absolutely delicious! From the perfect cocktail hour bites to the buffet options (people raved about the beef tenderloin and nut encrusted salmon!) to the drinks, they hit it out of the park. As foodies ourselves, we were so happy to have such tasty food (which is tough to find when serving 100 people!). Overall, we would highly recommend the Pond House for the attentive and generous staff, amazing atmosphere and fantastic food.

We were married at the Pond House just yesterday, and our wedding was, quite simply, PERFECT. The venue was amazing, they worked with us on a relatively short time frame (less than 6 months), relatively small wedding (40 guests), and it couldn't have gone better. Our guests loved it, it looked spectacular, the food was on point, and I especially cannnot say enough about the staff. I am writing this from our honeymoon suite, and we're still kind of basking in the glow. Thank you so much to everyone at the Pond House for helping to make our day a huge success! Ceremony pictures were done professionally, so we don't have them yet, but I'm including some shots from friends and family to show how wonderful the venue looked on the day, and how much fun everyone had.

I had my wedding reception here in June, and it was absolutely spectacular! Leslie was an incredible wedding coordinator who made everything seamless and stress-free. I had a rental and no time to set up, but Leslie handled it all and created such a beautiful setup. She even made sure my husband and I had time to eat! From setup to breakdown the next day, everything went perfectly according to plan. And the food, truly 10/10, it became the talk of the town!

Great little place for a relaxing lunch. We sat outdoors because the weather was gorgeous and we had just walked the park. They were closing in 30 mins when we arrived but they were able to seat us quickly and surprisingly it did not affect our service. My friend and I shared a salad and sandwich and it was wonderful. The drinks were good as well. They were preparing for a wedding that evening and it looked like it was going to be beautiful.

I had brunch today at Pond House Café and the experience was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. I loved that we were able to reserve our seats easily through Open Table, super convenient. I tried a mimosa that was absolutely delicious and some crab benedict eggs that were amazing 😋. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and the lovely atmosphere. Definitely a place I would go back to and recommend. 🌿✨

We got married at The Pond House in September 2025 and cannot recommend this venue highly enough! It was everything we dreamed of and more. From the very beginning, Alissa and Diana were a joy to work with — organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. They made us feel like family throughout the entire planning process, and their warmth and care made all the difference. Every detail was thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed. Even when a bit of rain rolled in, the team handled everything flawlessly. They transitioned our cocktail hour indoors without any stress, keeping the entire day seamless and enjoyable. The staff was incredible — professional, kind, and so accommodating to our 160 guests, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the gorgeous gardens, the walls of windows overlooking the pond, and the warm, inviting atmosphere. And the food — truly exceptional! Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. From the breathtaking setting to the outstanding staff, amazing food, and the feeling of being truly cared for, The Pond House exceeded every expectation. We are so grateful to have celebrated our wedding there and will cherish those memories forever.

I like this place. It was a pretty standard burger, had all the burger things on it, no complaints. I did like the salad in the addition of the pickled vegetables, their salad dressing was really good. And the mango smoothie was basically just mango, which I appreciated, and the whip Ordering was a little bit confusing because the menu is virtual but you have to flag the person to come over to actually order, they won't just come over. The aesthetic of the place is super fun and modern

Solid restaurant. They are going for a social media vibe, so it had a trendy atmosphere with cool options for drinks. The food was pretty good but the service could have been a lot better. Service was slow and we had to remind our server for things. We were visiting from out of town so not sure what else there is in the area. I’m sure if you are looking for brunch party vibes then this is the place to be, but for a standard breakfast/brunch I would try elsewhere.

So about six staff members walked by me before I was seated. Then they tried to sit my family on a bar top alongside a wall. The server was nice but not trained. He didn’t tell me that my app takes a while and would come out after my main. He didn’t ask for a meat preference for my daughter’s burrito so it came without any. My beer was warm. My burger had two tiny beef patties. At least the music was good.

Very hip. My daughter loved the innuendos on the menu. She had to interpret them for me. lol. The swing chairs were fun. Service was excellent. Great unique place to try. I had the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato basil soup. I usually do not like chunks of tomatoes in my tomato soup, but it was still delicious. My daughter had the chicken fingers with the red, white, blue waffle. She said that the chicken fingers were better than Raising Canes which says a lot!

I was visiting Hartford and ordered the 3 breakfast tacos for takeout. I paid about $17. I got eggs, bacon and sausage. Not worth the money in my opinion. I saw bacon bits and maybe 2 tiny microwavable sized sausages but thats it. The pancakes look similar to the frozen kind. Also was slightly disappointed they just threw it all in a togo box, didnt bother to prepare it like the photos. The establishment is pretty though and they greeted me right away so I gave them three stars and for that alone, Id be willing to try them again and just order something else.

Tonight was a blast! Such a fun and unique place! Beautiful decor in a very spacious location. Every box for the perfect night out was checked off. The staff was so bubbly and attentive, the drinks were immaculate, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was so much fun. My wife and I ordered the bottomless brunch drinks and the huge mimosa. I thought I could handle it but I was milking that delicious mimosa all night haha. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger which was stacked and super elaborate and filling. And to top it all off the show was so fun and engaging. Wow those girls have so much energy! Plus the music selection was on point. I can't wait to invite my friends for a night out here. Everything was spectacular!

This spot looks super nice inside. Very clean and modern aesthetic. It definitely gives off brunch vibes. The service was amazing and the food looked and tasted super delicious. The portion sizes are very generous!! The pancakes could feed an entire family!!! I would highly recommend this spot for those interested in a good brunch spot, especially on the weekends.

We went there for lunch around 1.30 pm on Sunday. We had to wait for a few mins to get a table even though many tables were empty probably because of the lack of staff. The food was bland with barely any salt. We were in a hurry and didn't realize that the burger and sandwich that we ordered would not have any veggies or even sauce on it unless ordered separately and paid for. The waitress did ask us if we needed anything else on the burger, but we said no because we didn't pay attention to what was included and she didn't think it was necessary to enlighten us. So, the veggie burger just had the bun, lettuce leaves and the saltless patty. The fried potatoes were also unsalted. Since we were short on time we just seasoned our food with salt and pepper and had it with ketchup.

I placed an order on DoorDash 7/9/25 at 10:47am for a big breakfast with scrambled eggs. I did not get any home fries with my big breakfast, like seriously?? Also was given no utensils to eat with. Please do better. I attached a photo of what I got and also the Doordash listing where you clearly see it has home fries listed. Also they give you the smallest strips of bacon possible. The pancakes and sausage are great though.

Enjoyed the Food! We stopped by this restaurant for a bite to eat on Sunday afternoon dropping off a family member at college. We arrived around 12:30/45 & we’re hungry. It wasn’t too busy. I enjoyed the mimosas & the meal; especially the steak fries. All of us enjoyed our meal. The waitress was very friendly & attentive. I would definitely return to this restaurant.

I cooked in restaurants like Effie’s for about 5 years, pursued a culinary/hospitality career path, consider myself a foodie, and have managed people in fast paced environments for more than 27 years. I have also been to Effie’s at least a dozen times, usually for breakfast. The food, service, and atmosphere are top notch. A few key words that come to mind are Dependable, predictable (I know what to expect), and delightful. It is always a pleasure and I look forward to dining there with family or friends. You can’t go wrong and you won’t be disappointed. Great job Effie’s!

The trendy Effie's Place is very good, however, not worthy of the accolades I have heard. Yes, good location. Yes, friendly and helpful staff. Yes, very good homemade corned beef hash (Although, not $7.75 very good). The hash browns were terrible, just mushy potatoes, no seasoning, no onions, just a mushy potatoe, why bother? One of 2 of the eggs i ordered over easy was over medium. I had high expectations for this restaurant and they were not met. Effie's Place is still very good and worth a try.

Me and my Wife stopped here for Saturday breakfast. Place have little parking lot behind and room for few cars in the front, where U can park on the side of the road. We were greeted by staff with nice smile and good spirit. We got both lunch and breakfast menu due to time we came. Choice was decent. My Wife ordered Philly Steak Omelet, I had also same one and another custom one made from different meats. And we both had bacon on the side. Philly Steak omelets came very plain in taste. Tasted like eggs and steak without any sort of seasoning. After adding some salt and pepper was Ok. The omelet made from different meats came good. I really like it. Staff was very nice and caring.

Cravings for a good breakfast were definitely satisfied! This place is fantastic...cozy outdoor seating on a beautiful day! The service and food were wonderful!!! Had the Big John to satisfy the beast lol...

I've lived in West Hartford for ¾ of my life...I've just now came here. Growing up in Elementary school I was told by a girl in my class this place was amazing and still never went. Came here with my family and the corn beef hash omelet was amazing! Absolutely delicious its not the canned corned beef either its homemade from what I hear and you can 110 percent taste the difference! The friendly staff and fast service was out of this world 11 out of 10! Food for 3 was out in about 15 mins with a pretty packed house!

Really enjoyed food here with my family. It was a small cozy place but with great warmth and attentive staff. Having gluten free options made our time that much more pleasant. Definitely a gem to check out if you’re in town!

Have been here a few times but we received unacceptable service today. We were sat and greeted with coffee, and we put in our very order shortly after. 45 minutes went by since we had put in our order, and we had no food, and no check in from our waiter. Several other tables that were seated after us, and ordered after us received their food during this time. Our waiter had walked passed us during this time upwards of 5 times and had no updates and didn’t bother to check in whatsoever. After over 45 minutes had passed we just went straight to the register and offered to pay for the coffees but let them know to just cancel the order (if it was ever even put in?). We didn’t have to pay for the coffees which was nice, but the only explanation provided was that there was a couple of “large parties” in the back. Given that statement, we are still at a loss of understanding how several other tables sat far after us got their food during that time? And why no one checked in with us? I get it, restaurants might be busy. Mistakes happen and maybe the food didn’t get put in? But at a minimum, communicate that with us and check in. Complete waste of time and very poor service and overall experience

Sally and Bob’s is a must go! There was a small wait but it was well worth it. The food was delicious! I had the cinnamon pancake special…..wow. The service, where do I start? Everyone and I mean everyone will take care of you here, even if they aren’t your server. We found out we stayed a little after closing, as we were checking the website to leave our review, and never once felt rushed to leave. Please, do yourself a favor and stop by, if you’re in the area. You won’t be sorry.

Delicious brunch and friendly service. There was a short wait to get a table but our meal was worth it. The coffee was not the usual weak diner junk, it was dark roast and delicious. And the homemade onion rings were great, the French fries only so so. There’s an option to add either to your sandwich order in place of chips. Go for the rings!!!

The shrimp scampi pizza is the best I've ever had and the cannoli have a flavor so unique and amazing that you won't find anywhere else. The food never disappoints. I highly recommend this place.

On a rainy afternoon in Hartford, Connecticut, I had the joy of treating my oldest daughter to a cozy, traditional Italian birthday meal. She indulged in a rich Cioppino. I had the hearty lasagna, and a crisp side salad. Not to be outdone, my younger daughter went for a custom-made bacon and broccoli pizza — a perfect comfort food for a rainy day.

First and Last Tavern Hartford Connecticut is a landmark. First went there in the 90s and it was already established as a local landmark then. Went there recently in a group had a great time. started with a bread basket with a variety of excellent breads. Appetizers and salad We ordered the arugula and lemon salad as well as the calamari appetizer. Both were excellent. Pizzas The entire group was in the mood for pizzas so we shared three different pies: Broccoli pie This is a white pie with broccoli mozzarella and ricotta cheese. The crust was perfect 👍. Crisp and Crunchy on the outside, thin, light yet firm. (New Haven style). This is a very good pie. Tomato pie This excellent pie does not come with mozzarella. It has grated cheese to complement the crust and the sauce. This is a very sophisticated pie, flavorful, texturally Complex, yet utilizing minimalist. This was a very good pie – no leftovers/no “To go” packaging required. Margarita Their interpretation of the margarita is also very good. We got this in a large which is a little harder to execute but this was done flawlessly. The crust was ultra thin, crispy, crunchy, and chewy. The sauce was flavorful. The cheese was perfectly done to complement the sauce and the cost not to compete. Overall well done 👍 Service The service was top-notch. Hadn’t been here for over a decade so didn’t know what to expect but it was exactly as I remembered. The ladies upfront where great. Everybody was professional and on their game. Our waitress was outstanding. She explained the menu very well. She was attentive make sure we had enough plates to share, drinks – just wonderful. Atmosphere This has a Pleasant and rich atmosphere. It has an old world/old school charm but it is evergreen. Brick walls, unique hand-painted tiles, actual Black and white historical pictures on the wall. It’s a very cozy, warm, pleasant experience. Conclusion This is one of the best pizzerias in Hartford county, Connecticut. Everything about this place is first class. We made the right choice going here for a wonderful evening and recommend you do the same.

Great Italian restaurant with superb pizza. Had a small bar area to grab a pint while waiting for table.The Margherita pizza with pepperoni was delicious. The house breads were all very good. Highly recommend having a reservation during peak dinner/lunch times.

This remains one of my all-time favorite places to go. The food is outstanding. I think their clam pizza far outshines Pepe's by a long shot but it's best to eat this straight out of the oven and not as takeout--it's sublime (I'm hankering for one as I write this). The staff is terrific, each and every one of them. I've been an inconsistent regular for the last 40+ years (yikes!) and I've never encountered any staff member who was off their game. The ambiance is perfetto, the ideal blend of neighborhood comfort zone and garlic-scented Italian eatery, with awesome historical nods to Hartford and the local scene. FIRST come for the food AND LAST come for the vibe. Love you guys, heart and soul.

12.7.23 I was nervous about finding a parking spot but there were some next to the restaurant. And if you're lucky, some street parking. Service and food were great. We had the cod, clams, pizza, roasted chicken, apple crisp and free bread.

Fantastic food. Seafood soup was fantastic. The linguine and clams was great. Just kinda weird the name. Actually one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve eatin in. Kinda sketchy neighborhood but good food.

My first time here in probably 35 years, and it was still pretty dang good! Growing up this spot was right around the corner from my house, and I have lots of fond memories of coming here with my grandmother and getting dinner and ice cream. Walking back in and it all came right back to me, still a nice family vibe in this location and staff was so friendly. My tuna salad sandwich was quite good. If you want a nice traditional spot to get a decent dinner and some excellent ice cream, please give this place a visit.

I’ve only sat down to eat here once, but I’ve stopped by for their ice cream around 50 times—and that’s not an exaggeration. Every single time, it’s been consistently good. The food when I dined in was enjoyable, but the ice cream is what keeps me coming back again and again. They always have fresh, tasty flavors, and the quality never disappoints. Whether it’s a hot summer day or I’m just in the mood for a treat, I know I can count on them for something delicious. The staff are friendly, the service is quick, and the overall experience is always pleasant. It’s rare to find a place that stays this consistent over so many visits, but they’ve managed to do it. I’ll definitely keep coming back for more.

Nice kind of 40s, to 50s diner atmosphere. Amazing burgers and really nice crisp French fries! Son loved the chicken tenders with spicy fries. For dessert, the waffle cone my son got was absolutely massive, not that he was complaining, lol. I got an amazing cookie Sunday with warm hot fudge, a crunchy cookie on the inside, and a warm amazing cookie on the inside was absolutely divine and could not finish it. Note without dessert price per person would be around 15 -20 dollars estimated.

I just got back from out of town and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at another restaurant and wanted a place to match the energy. This didn’t. The food was your very simple and typical diner food. Nothing out of the ordinary. The last photo was what I hoped for. The others are what we got. But if I managed my expectations as I should have, it was just fine. The food was fresh and edible. We asked for eggs hard and they were still a little wet. It tasted fine, it just lacked presentation. I love aesthetics. The waitress was nice and the hostess was funny. The premise was clean. It had plenty indoor and outdoor seating and free parking. As for the milkshake it was more milk than shake and toppings and whip cream are additional cost. Is it even a milkshake if that’s not included? Breakfast was cheap, milkshakes cost the same as a meal.

We tried this restaurant for the first time this week and we were not disappointed with food or service. I arrived earlier than my breakfast companion, but I was invited to pick a booth and the server kept me supplied with non stop coffee until he arrived. The breakfast portions were huge and we were so full that we were not even hungry when dinner time rolled around. The omelettes are seriously delicious and are stuffed to the max with very fresh ingredients. You can customize them to your liking-it might be a bit pricey this way but at least you get exactly what you want. I can’t wait to go back for some ice cream. Plenty of seating and parking. No frills decor but certainly pleasant enough.

Very solid bakery and breakfast spot! I got a latte and the E-BAT sandwich, both of which are really tasty. Only complaint is that it's a bit expensive, but that is hardly the fault of anyone in the building. I've also gotten the Miche loaf in the last and it was very good! I will definitely return here for a local spot with very solid goods and friendly & welcoming employees!

Ally and Ariel are AMAZING! I called to place a huge delivery order and they were both very patience, organized, thoughtful, and worked with me to fulfill all my needs. I needed very specific sandwiches that were dairy free, gluten free, and vegetarian. They made sure and explained I had all the items I needed. The employees and amazing and the food is delicious! Catering is phenomenal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Chocolate croissant without chocolate. First time trying Hartford baking company, and was completely disappointed, the chocolate was hollow with a less than a dime size drop of chocolate inside.

The food is good the bread fresh no corners cut turkey and egg on croissant was very filling

Decent service. Nice view on the top floor. Would have been 5 star of they didn't forget the 3rd egg on my sandwich that I paid for.

I tried their 🌯 scrambled eggs, black beans, avocado, cheese and spiced potatoes in a whole wheat wrap - this was flavorful and delicious. Loved how the eggs were cooked and toppings were great I just love how every item was customizable and you could substitute on the app! Definitely makes ordering food more convenient and I want to try their other breakfast options

This cute old school diner has a simple menu and the food comes out fresh and hot. But there is nothing that really makes this place stand out. We got a pumpkin muffin, the feta spinach omelette and the eggs and corn beef hash. The muffin was the most stand out item, it was a sweet corn bread base with pumpkin spice flavor mixed in. The omelette was exactly what it says it is, nothing more nothing less. The has was a good hash and egg combo. The home fries seemed to be seasoned with curry which gives them a different flavor then normal but not one that I would look for. The jam that was at the table seemed to be very old it all tasted like it had spoiled.

Loved my breakfast. The home fries were my favorite part. I had the peaches and blueberry pancakes which were super delicious so just imagine how much better the potatoes are. They were actually cooked all the way through. The coffee was great. Western omelet was delicious. Its a super small place so my party of 3 had to sit at the counter and we do not regret it at all. It was nice to watch the ladies and gentlemen behind it doing their thing. I am sad we didnt get our server's name because she was lovely and friendly. 10/10 *Parking is annoying. Park on the street.

I have always wanted to check this place out, so when I had the chance, I did. This place really feels like it stepped out of the past, from the building to the layout. This diner is a true artifact. After entering from one of the two(!) enterences, you can choose to sit at a surprisingly comfortable booth or at the ever classic counter. While they have a decent lunch menu, you need to ask for it specifically as they seem to promote their breakfasty foods. I found the bacon cheeseburger to be quite nice and not cooked to a briquet as some places are want to do. The fries were not my favorite style. I was told that the French Toast was not very good. I have nothing to add to that as I did not try it personally. The iced tea was a little disappointing; I suspect they use Lipton tea, which is well known to be one of the worst teas. All in all, I think I would go back and try something else, such as the meatloaf sandwich or Ruben. I also think I'll sit at the counter to check that out.

Nearly 100 year old dining experience. Great history laden diner going back to 1931 when it was shipped to West Hartford, Connecticut. It was run by a family for many years afterwards. It has been kept in original clean historical condition for all these years while the city continued to grow and modernize around it. Beautiful original decor with original cast iron counter stools, tile floors and real wood everywhere. Cozy decor, but as with old diners, it is small with 6 cubical tables and a dozen counter stools. Great competitively priced breakfasts, well made. The free parking is available next to the diner, but is limited. Note: Parking area shows as a tow-away zone, but is not, as the diner rents space here, as well. Very clean restrooms, still in original look of 1931. Just beautiful. Does not have a ramp for access.

It's what a diner should be. We were a party of four for breakfast and everyone enjoyed their food and the atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and the food is excellent. The service was really fast. The prices are very reasonable. We waited just a few minutes for table on Sunday. We will be back.

Great diner experience. It's obvious how they've stayed open for so long in spite of all the restaurants around it. Above is my old review. I came back here after 3 years and the waitstaff is rude and slow as hell now. What a shame. It's also a lot more expensive.

A fun and affordable spot for breakfast/lunch in West Hartford. Fast service and great food. Of all the diners in the area, I definitely return to Quaker the most!

I grew up coming to Loc Stock since I was a baby. Came back today after a few years and what a disappointment! I was unsure of what I wanted but she just served me attitude instead of help. I asked for the cream cheese on the side, and they charge and extra $5 for that?! They used to be so friendly but she seemed really angry. The bagles used to be awesome but this was flat and undercooked. Going to Seed in glastonbury, worth the drive.

Delicious bagels, great sandwiches! Got myself bagels with egg cheese, onion tomatoes, and sausage. It was really good! People are nice and friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Coffee was good, too.

Ordered a "Ham and cheese" bagel sandwich on the restaurant site for pickup. All bagel sandwiches are to include a kid's meal size bag of chips. Well, spent $7.00 for this "Ham & Cheese" sandwich and picked it up, got home and opened a disgrace, see photos. ONE slice of cheese, ONE Slice of Ham but Plenty of onion & tomato! If this is what I get for $7.00 plus tax!!!! We will NOT be back. We have bagel restaurant much closer and never disappoints....I guess it's what we get for trying something new!

Stopped in here today as my daughter had an appointment in Hartford and I needed to hang around and bring her home. I used to work in the area and came here many times for lunch. It’s as good as I remember! I particularly wanted the Turkey Bacon Bravo, which I always enjoyed, and it did not disappoint!

The food is fine, but some of the employees are incredibly rude and obnoxious. With so many other reviews stating the same thing, I have no idea why management tolerates this. There are other options in the area, you would think they would make appropriate changes.

Fantastic bagels and very solid coffee. Probably the best bagel shop in CT. Would definitely check this place out if you have the opportunity.

The cafe interior vibe cozy and I am assuming with outdoor seating in the summers it must be a cool spot to spend some time at since it is on a lively WeHa street. This was my first time picking up a Coconut Creme Latte from here. The atmosphere was welcoming. However, I couldn’t really taste coconut and vanilla flavours evidently in my latte. Hopefully I have better luck next time.

Me and my Wife stopped here after dinner that we had in other, local establishment for some dessert. Wanted to try different location instead of ordering dessert in restaurant. Place have few tables outside and some inside. It's not big. We decided to eat inside. There were quiet few people there on their laptops, one of them with 3 monitors which I'm finding funny (you don't have your home lol). We got some ice creams and shakes. They were good, nothing crazy spectacular. Just regular ice cream and shakes. Typical price for those things.

Friendly, quaint, and the perfect respite on a rainy day. We played board games and ate dulces and crepes. We had Mighty leaf tea (their selection is at least a dozen or more teas), and I had a cappuccino too. We spent hours here, eating, drinking, and playing games. The prosciutto crepe was yummy, though I wish there were set crepes and not +$3 for each additional topping. I wanted meat with other things. We added mushrooms and it was okay. I think prosciutto with fig and basil would be my next go-to. There is parking out back and front but it is very crowded.

Sofia’s Coffee Shop is my go-to spot—reliable, warm, and always excellent. The coffee is consistently great (I especially love the oat milk latte), and the crepes are unbeatable—my favorite is the mozzarella and tomato. They also have terrific ice cream, amazing desserts, and some of the best baklava I’ve had. The muffins are fresh and delicious too. The service is fantastic. Ian, always wearing his black beret, is knowledgeable and friendly, and Sofia herself is a joy to talk to—genuine, welcoming, and full of great conversation. The whole place feels like home. I try to stop in at least twice a week. Highly recommend!

Very cute cafe! Outdoor sitting is nice in summer. Had cafe latte and it was good. Biscotti with it was ok, nothing great. They have ice cream and many more things, will come back to try more.

Love this cozy little gem. Walked in 10 minutes before the ladies were closing, we offered to take and go but, they welcomed us to stay and enjoy the rest of our evening. We also took some of those macarons to go. It's been a month and I'm still dreaming of the Kadayifi

Went to this cafe to pick up some macarons for my mother. This cafe is super cute and I definitely need to come back to try come more pastries and ice cream. I ordered a savory crepe and it was alright, although a little pricey and it took way longer to be completed than expected. I suppose that can be a good thing since the crepes are fresh and if I weren’t busy running errands I wouldn’t have been in a rush and probably would have had a better sit-down experience. My bf ordered a funky monkey smoothie and it was very filling. There are a few outdoor tables available on the patio and it is a nice spot for coffee in Blue Back Square. My mom enjoyed the macarons and I definitely would like to return to see more of what Cafe Sofia has to offer.

It's fine, but not a must try. The food and drinks are very expensive for what they are ($20 for a small deli meat turkey club and fries). The staff are very friendly and the tavern itself has a very old school authentic wooden tavern feel. The music that was being played over the speakers was incredibly loud (to the point you couldn't hear across a small table).

First time here. We sat at the bar and had a fun time with the bartender, Janelly, who ABSOLUTELY knew what she was doing because my Old Fashion and Bourbon Sour were excellent. We only had apps and salads so didn’t explore the full menu, but what we had was very good, particularly the wings - they were on point - crispy and flavorful. The chili, topped with a combination of cheddar cheeses was also quite good. The salad was served in an edible taco bowl and was yummy. Sliders were solid too. 😋 There was a private event taking place in most of the dining area and the DJ was really loud, plus there were some folks at the bar whose natural decibel level seemed to be 6 million (my poor watch was warning me about the loud environment 😝), but if it’s not typically that loud, we would definitely return.

I have been meaning to leave this review for MONTHS now and am FINALLY getting around to it. My husband and I were in town for the weekend were driving around famished and happened upon this little cafe. I have to admit that our expectations were not very high, since it seemed to be more of a tavern than a restaurant, and had done out at a pricey cafe in NYC the night before where the food was tasty but the service subpar (at best) but we were PLEASANTLY surprised at what a great experience it turned out to be! The moment we stepped in the door, both women behind the bar cheerfully greeted us with smiles. One escorted us to our table and took our drink order. I only wanted water, but my husband ordered a Diet Coke and then offered me a sip of it, asking if it tasted OK. I hadn't had a fountain DC in years and admitted that it tasted a bit off. One of our servers had obviously witnessed the exchange and immediately came over to ask if we were unhappy with the drink. We said that it tasted "a little off", but no big deal. She said that the canister might need replacing and insisted on dumping out the drink, attaching a new syrup canister and subsequently providing a far better tasting drink for him. I ordered the Alpine chicken sandwich on a GF roll and was delighted at the quality of the prep, the taste of the chicken, mushrooms and onions but mostly was shocked at how soft, fresh and moist the roll was for being gluten free. The sandwich was delicious and the accompanying side of fries was just the way I like them: thick, crisp on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. As we were preparing to leave, a groom and his groomsmen stopped in for shots on their way to his wedding. When we approached the bar to ask for our bill, the wedding party asked us to partake in some shots (we declined since we were getting back on the road) but wished them all well. One of the gentlemen grabbed the two of us to pull us into their celebratory photos. =) Overall, the food was delicious, the atmosphere upbeat, and the service top notch; very attentive, friendly and fast!

Service was INCREDIBLE!!! The food was SOOO delicious. This is the beat service I’ve ever received, we were promptly seated, our drinks came as soon as we ordered them, they took our order quickly, and the food came quickly. They also checked on us constantly and even took a picture of me and my family for us. 10/10 recommend if your in Hartford!! +the owner is very nice and knows what hes doing.

What a cool find while on a road trip! Great staff!! The food was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere as local patrons arrived after their rugby games. They are very accommodating to people that have dogs with them.

Food is good and good price. Service was pretty mid. Our server was kinda rude and also very pushy, rushing us. They served my table both appetizers and our entrees at the same time. One person received their appetizer and entree at the same time and was left eating alone while the rest of us had no food for about 10 minutes. By the time our food arrived, they were done eating.. overall 3/5.

The food is very good and my sever (Maleka?) was excellent. It’s in a very nice location that’s not congested on weekend and not far from capital area. It was peaceful and not crowded but I’m sure it will be later in evening. I ordered the eggplant fries ($10) as appetizer and wanted to order another serving because they were delicious. I had the special (A-1 Burger $12) and it was very tasty. The prices are very reasonable. They have a dinner menu but served after 5pm. I highly recommend dining at this establishment if in area. And I love the flowers that are planted near door, they make it very inviting!

I recently dined at The Place 2 Be, and while the food and service were solid, an unexpected and unpleasant experience left a lasting impression. Our server, Omar, was attentive and professional, checking in regularly and making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Service overall was efficient, and the restaurant had a lively atmosphere. However, what should have been a great dining experience took a major downturn when a live roach appeared at our table. When we informed the staff, their response was underwhelming—they casually searched for the roach as if this were a routine occurrence. No apologies, no immediate action, just an awkward moment that felt like a scene straight out of Joe’s Apartment. Even worse, there was no offer to discount our meal, despite the obvious sanitation issue. A restaurant can have great food and attentive service, but cleanliness is non-negotiable. The nonchalant attitude from the staff made it clear that this wasn’t the first time they had dealt with a pest issue, which is deeply concerning. Would I return? Probably not. While the food was good, the presence of a roach and the lack of accountability from management completely ruined the experience. If The Place 2 Be wants to maintain its reputation, it needs to address this issue immediately, because no great meal is worth sharing a table with a roach.

I feel like this brand has over worn its name. It's not as chill of a vibe as previous. We had a reservation and waited 30 minutes past that. The manager had no clue what was going on but kept telling us she was working on it... Our server Kayley was OUTSTANDING!!! Definitely made up for the first 35 minutes of our visit! The food came out extremely fast, in waves. But wasn't great. The fryer was broke so the chicken and waffles were made with chicken tenders, not what I came for. The soda machine was broken as well. The restaurant looked like it had not been cleaned since the opened, whenever that was. Over all the visit was subpar. I don't think we will be returning though. This is NOT the place to be!

I went to the Memorial Day parade in WH on Monday and decided to check out another restaurant that was totally booked. I stumbled upon this spot, I've tried the one in Hartford before, but never this one. The atmosphere is nice, the place is nicely decorated. They have outdoor seating, which we went for, the waitress was all over the place..lol..bless her heart. She brought out one drink and not the other. After waiting for about 15 minutes while my partner waited for me to get my drink, I decided to go see what's going on. The manager said they were changing shifts. I said well why even bring out 1drink, should have never brought anything until u could bring both. We ended up getting our drinks eventually. The food came out alil faster, and it was actually good, I didn't have much hope after the drink fiasco. Which, by the way, was not good, taste like rotten lime. I'm a Tequila girl, and I love a fresh lime. The lime was brown, and it tasted weird. The overall experience was not too bad.

I’ll start on a good note, the food was really good. The steak and cheese was nice and juicy, my French toast was good, but overpriced for two pieces of bread which is 7.99, and it’s 1.99 to add toppings such as chocolate chips, Nutella, etc.. The waiters were nice and friendly but I feel like they were pushing for us to order more. I noticed mold in the water glass container (in the picture) and it was very obviously mold you could even see the white ring around it through the glass, and when I showed the waiter, he said it’s probably a stain (it was definitely not a stain and even if it was, very unsanitary and not acceptable to serve). The seat we were sitting at had flies all on the window edge behind us, and the table was really wobbly. But the food was good lol, so if you want their food I recommend ordering to go, but I probably wouldn’t come here again because I don’t even know how dirty the kitchen is.

It took me a long time to get around to posting this review because it comes with story time: My last experience here was absolutely terrible. The food and everything was good, but our sweet, but probably very new waitress messed up our checks, so I accidentally paid my friend’s bill and apparently no one had paid mine. We didn’t know this at the time because I handed the waitress my debit card to pay my bill and saw the transaction on my bank app. The waitress came over to tell us one check was not paid and it was mine. I said mine was paid and showed her the transaction on my bank app and reminded her I gave her my card to pay and signed my receipt. She didn’t know what to do so she grabbed who I assume was the manager who proceeded to come over and speak to me directly in a very accusatory manner about how I didn’t pay my bill. I showed her the transaction on my bank app and said I clearly paid and I’m not paying twice. There was a lot of back and forth and persistent rudeness from the manager. It was over a $15 bill so it really should not have been a big deal. Not to mention it was not our mistake. They both walked away and went in back to discuss or I don’t know what. While they were gone my friend group took matters into our own hands to figure out what the hell happened with our checks. After process of elimination we realized my card had been applied to my friend’s bill and my friend had not paid a bill because hers showed up paid when she went to pay online. When the waitress returned we told her what we figured out. After that we got no apology from her or the manager and our entire brunch felt ruined. A good restaurant would have just eaten the $15 bill and called it a day to make sure we had a pleasant experience and would want to return. A great restaurant would have at least apologized for the mistake, would not have immediately blamed us from the jump, and probably would have comped us in some way or done something to earn our business again. The Place 2 Be is not that. I’ve never been treated so horribly in a restaurant, especially for a mistake that was not mine! My friends and I left with such a poor taste in our mouths and unanimously agreed we’d never go back there. About a week later the news began to emerge about the financial issues, rent issues, and all that shady stuff about the owner. Karma or coincidence? I don’t know, but I strongly suggest you skip this establishment.

I had lunch with my teenage daughter and we were both very happy with not only the service but also the food. Pancake tacos excellent! Waffle was probably one of the best Ive had. If you have a teen child they will definitely find something on the menu and the bathtub drinks for kids are a great and cool concept. Overall excellent in every aspect and will definitely be back.

We’ve been waiting FOREVER for our food, even though the place isn’t busy. Ordered 45 minutes ago and after an hour got the “Mother Hen” meal — portion is super small. Food came out lukewarm, not hot. Chicken was pretty mid, waffle was yummy. Taste overall is okay (mom and gram liked it), but the timing and temperature were way off. Very disappointed.

Atmosphere: 2/5. Great parking, music vibe on Sunday is good. Nothing had been cleaned in ever. All the light fixtures are so dusty that when the doors are open, the wind makes dust come down. All the plants decor have dust on them too. Flies all around. Food: 4/5 for the donut board. Great presentation, the caramel and chocolate sides are good. The deep fried crisp is good texture wise but not the taste of old oil. The steak and eggs I give 2/5. Steak is over done and chewy (not edible). The eggs cooked to order but a surcharge appeared on the bill which didn’t make sense because I didn’t get eggs extra- they came with the order. The Latkes 5/5. Texture, flavor, presentation. All great. The chimichurri was even worse quality than the steak. The chimichurri was all butter and oil. I emptied it to see where the greens were. It was a gunky green stuck at the bottom. I didn’t even taste it because the appearance was off putting. Eggs Benedict: 3/5. The home fries are well cooked and crispy. The grilled onions were good. Flavor on potatoes was all the way lacking. The corn bread was crisp and sweet. The eggs poached well. The hollandaise sauce curled badly. The corn beef was tooo salty and too mushy. It gave the texture of having been canned. The pineapple juice was good. The coffee good. They have nondairy milk options for an upcharge. Service: 5/5. The waitress was attentive and communicative. She checked in about the food and when i explained the above, she quickly accepted the feedback and acted.

BPK, As a place we typically recommend to friends and family who visit us, the fact that someone prepared this (food), packed it up (service), and sent it home with for a to go order is absolutely DIABOLICAL, not to mention there are things missing from the order. Not sure what’s going on here, but the last few times we’ve been it’s been something. We’re not even bringing this back, it’s not worth the time.

Chicken and waffles was absolutely amazing!! The skin on it was caramelized and just delicious. They gave us a ton of food! Everything was seasoned great, I wouldn’t come here all the time if I lived closer!

As a local West Hartford resident we have been going to Blue plate for the last several years. Over the last year this place has seriously gone downhill. I ordered takeout with a $3 up charge for French fries. This includes 6 fries ?! See image. Order was ready 15 minutes later then the recommended window pick up time. This is just unacceptable

French toast was beyond. Food quality was top tier. Eggs cooked perfectly. Creamy grits were well seasoned and putting many southern regional grit servers to shame. Music was endless Prince and MJ jam after jam. Mixed in on this day was modern pop. For this Pop Princess, I couldn't help but shimmy my shoulders while consuming delicious food worth the calories. First time at this establishment and will be my last unfortunately. Food tasted amazing but one of our plates had a cooked roach in the eggs. Very disappointed - manager comped the bill but did not seem like it was their first time for this complaint. Drove 40 minutes to be disappointed.

I went to the Panera Bread in West Hartford, CT And my sandwich did not taste good. I had the chicken fontega sandwich, which I’ve had at different locations and always enjoyed if, but this particular instance it was not good. It was as if whoever made the sandwich just threw the ingredients together and they didn’t even bother to put much sauce on it. I did a take out order and I was just too tired to bring the food back.

One of those nights where we didn't want to cook but wanted a quick meal, so Panera to the rescue. Quick service and the food was fresh and good. The broccoli soup is just amazing. The bread was fresh, and we enjoyed sitting by the fire.

While I understand it gets busy with in person orders, pick up orders etc, I placed a larger order for delivery two days in advance for delivery for an event. My order was not delivered and 30 minutes later was canceled. Now have to reorder food for my staff. There’s not a reasonable excuse for this. Never even got a call just reloaded my order status to see it canceled. Not acceptable.

This is the third week in a row where I have ordered online I get there and still wait 30 minutes plus killing my whole lunch break and also making me late to my next call without any food. Don’t even offer to comp the lunch. After waiting 30 mins she says “ I still have 27 orders and I can’t see the screen” it would have been at least another 15 mins totaling 45 mins even with a preorder. So initially I came here to pick up a doordash order and was very disappointed with the service as I observe a worker being when I perceived as A person having a bad day and while I get. We all have bad days. Where people spend their money. I don't agree that you should have an attitude and treat. People who come in there to spend their money anyway with the way the customers were in and out. I decided to order food from here since I couldn't get my DoorDash order completed. The fool was outstanding with the exception of an egg show that my wife's sandwich but outside of that. Being my first time near I love the food. I think is excellent and I just think the service sucks.

I love their jalapeno and cheddar bagels with a hot green tea two of them what what what what what what what what what what a bagel they have so much good selections. They have salmon and they have breakfast sandwiches they dozen or half dozen Bagels they cream cheeses so many good selections the customer service is amazing they always greet you with a smile I have to get used to them closing at 2:00 p.m. other than that it is a fabulous place.

I visited Bruegger’s bagels today during a break in between daycare tours with my newborn. I had planned to get the smoked salmon sandwich, but at the last moment opted for the smokehouse brisket and egg sandwich, and it did not disappoint! I can’t believe how delicious it truly was! I had mine on a garlic bagel and I got extra of the jalapeño cream cheese. I don’t go to Bruegger’s bagels that often but I really hope they keep the sandwich on the menu because I would definitely order it again – I would love to try it on their various other bagels. I had great conversation with the staff, and the service was amazing! The only disappointment was the fact that they do not have a baby changing station in either of the bathrooms. It’s odd in this day and age for an establishment not to have a changing station for babies. That could be a huge deterrent for families.

Unfortunately, it’s Not much longer till Bruegger’s goes under completely. Put order in app both items were wrong! Bagels smalller than Dunkin donut same as Wallingford Bruegger’s…. Left bagel from years ago middle is Now! Last one is called false advertising. I love when the owners reply Sorry blah blah but then do NOTHING to resolve the issues. So SAD to see how FAR this Bagel chain has FALLEN. $6 for a bagel the size of coffee lid! This is my favorite bagel spot! Everyone is extremely friendly. I’m always greeted with a smile and kind words. The bagels are excellent, but the customer service is even better!

Food is great. There’s no place to sit inside (the place is very small) but there is outdoor seating for summer so that is nice. Service sucks and you need to order online ahead of time on the weekends so don’t try to walk in and order or they will tell you to leave and order on your phone (kind of rude but whatever). Coffee isn’t great but the food quality is solid. Will most likely come again.

I’m beyond impressed with the quality of this breakfast burrito — I literally had to stop working just to write this review! As someone who cooks a lot at home, it’s rare to find food that truly stands out (even in West Hartford), but this one blew me away. I’ve been on a mission to find a great breakfast burrito, after countless disappointments, Goldberg’s absolutely nailed it. The flavor, the freshness, the balance — it’s perfection. Please, Goldberg’s, never take this off the menu. Thank you for not settling for “just okay” food and for delivering something this good. You’ve officially earned a new regular!

I ordered 4 breakfast sandwiches, 3 bacon egg and cheese, 1 BBBBEECC at $16. The bagels- delicious. The sandwiches, unacceptable amount of bacon on not only the regular sandwiches, but the bbbbeecc had the same amount of bacon as the others for double the price. I reached out to the company, no response.

The bagels? Absolutely stellar. I had the onion, Kristen went with the egg—both with scallion spread—and they were everything you want in a morning carb ritual: fresh, chewy, flavorful, and generously slathered. Goldberg’s clearly knows how to craft a bagel worth remembering. That said, the counter experience was… mystifying. The person at the register radiated an energy so palpably grim it felt like we were paying in emotional tolls. Not rude, just unsettling—like a shadow passed through the transaction. It didn’t ruin the visit, but it did cast a strange vibe over an otherwise delicious start to the day. Come for the bagels. Brace for the checkout.

Attitude with avocado toast. Love this place. Food’s great. Coffee’s strong & I keep coming back like a golden retriever. But honest to God, it wouldn’t kill someone to answer a question without looking like I just ruined their morning. I tip 25% every single damn time, even when the service feels colder than a Boston winter. You’ve never been outright rude, but the “just take your coffee & go” energy at 7am makes me wanna pull my hairs out and go back to bed. I’m still gonna support you because it’s worth it; you actually got loyal customers.. so chill out. Gosh. A little less attitude won’t break the espresso machine, I promise.

I love coming here and have been a customer for years! They may very well have the best bagels in CT, and the sandwiches are always made to perfection. They keep what they do simple and they do it very well, which I love. Easily some of the best breakfast sandwiches around! On the weekends they're extremely busy and they run out of the popular bagels pretty fast, so make it your business to get there as early as you can and they don't take walk in orders on weekends either so keep that in mind. They also have very limited seating so think take-out only unless you get lucky.

Great coffee and ambiance. They have pour overs, a good espresso machine with well trained baristas, and the light roasts are high quality. Good third wave coffee spot but still lots of options if you’re into Starbucks type drinks too

J.René Coffee Roasters is such a great spot! The vibe is warm and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee. The coffee itself is excellent — rich, smooth, and clearly crafted with care. It’s definitely one of those places where you can taste the quality in every sip. The only small thing to note is that parking can be a bit tricky, but once you’re inside, it’s absolutely worth it. A wonderful place to relax, meet friends, or just enjoy some really great coffee. Highly recommend!

Small and quaint coffee shop that has smaller and larger (8+/communal) tables as well as a couple outdoor spots. Menu is small but every thing is tasty! The coffee is so good that even as a creamer and sweetener person, I didn’t really need much!

Guys … don’t sleep on J Rene’s Analog & Aroma cafe. Tasty food and delicious wine and beer. The cafe is perfect for a quick date night. The food is delicious and the drink menu is perfectly curated - something to please everyone but not overwhelming.

We got the turkey sandwich, brown sugar cinnamon latte and Kenya pour-over. All were excellent. The sandwich was surprisingly flavorful!! So yummy and friendly service

Some of the highest quality coffee you will find. I no longer reside in CT, but thankfully they have a website and provide excellent mail order service. I remember when René opened this shoppe years ago. Very happy to see it’s still around and appears to be done very well.

I have ordered the "Iced Hazelnut Oatmilk Shaken Espresso" 3 times in this location, all 3 times it tasted completely different than in other stores. As you can tell from the negative review, the taste of the drinks were subpar. On top of that, they add too much ice to the drinks. After scrolling through the reviews, this is not a first from this location. Moderate the level of ice in the drinks, please. After 3 sips, I'm already done with my drink.

Good Quality SB Coffee. The store is nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Scored a 10 cent discount using my reusable cup. Parking is tight and pricey. Bring quarters since the meters are card challenged.

I have been going to Starbucks on Lasalle Road for many years. I feel so comfortable there and the manager and all staff are so friendly and have excellent customer service skills. A great place to go

Barista taking orders was very sweet, but older lady behind the bar was not nice. Tables and floors were very dirty and boxes were all over the floor at 2pm. edit: ordered a honey citrus mint tea and it was not made right, i think they put milk in it. it was remade in another starbucks and clearly they did not make it right here (remake on left)

Food was fine, service was fine, but it’s a little disappointing that in 2025 businesses are still filling drinks 3/4 full of ice.

I dreadddddd coming to this Starbucks. My order is always wrong - and then when they go to correct it, it’s still wrong. The service is super off and the employees seem so mentally out of it. Literally miserable. I always try to give it another chance because I work in the area but it just gets worse everytime.

The entire point of bringing my travel mug in is to avoid wasting a plastic cup every time I want a Starbucks drink. So when I asked them to just dump a little more ice into my drink to fill my travel mug, I wasn't expecting them to hand me a plastic cup full of ice with their finger in it instead. I'm sure that went right into the trash. Starbucks has nothing to do with any kind of green initiative. One of the most wasteful corporations on the planet. Do better. This happens everywhere I go. And it's typically a young person. They don't even try. They could not care less.

Saw I'm not the only one having issues with the refreshers. The first photo (lighter color drink) is a strawberry acai refresher I got this morning. It's so pale, tasted just like water with a hint of flavor. I watched them make it in the cup itself, shake it a couple times, and serve it. Making it in the cup is clearly causing the ratio of juice to water to be off because the second, darker photo is a strawberry acai refresher I get from another location that actually combined the ingredients in their shaker cup first consistent with the actual portions required. I consistently ask for the bishops corner location to remake my drink. I know they are happy to do so but I'm so tired of having to ask them to do this, plus it's a waste of time and ingredients. This morning I decided it wasn't worth it and left. I have received multiple refunds through my app for poorly made drinks but again, I'm tired of going through customer service and management. The drinks are too expensive for this type of result.

I thought the 100 million dollar CEO was going to prioritize people visiting their sites over mobile orders. I’ve been here 20 minutes waiting for my latte. I’ve watched 10 people come and leave before me who ordered on mobile. Never again.

Please, for goodness sake, use the dang shaker cup when making refreshers! This is the only location I go to that makes it in the actual cup customers get and swirls it around to save time. It results in an improperly mixed drink and improper ratio of ingredients that I keep sending back to get remade which is such a waste.

If I could give it 0 stars I would …Me and my wife come here regularly. Today was a problem. I usually get my Strawberry Açaí lemonade refresher and a warmed croissant. Today I just ordered the drink. It seemed that the lady was being trained. Love to see new faces :) nothing wrong with that. I was watching the trainer look at the trainee on how to make the drink.. my drink. He didn’t give her any instructions, didn’t help her out even when she was unsure and asked. when she was done making my drink, he decided to tell her that she was short on the drink to add more ice and strawberry. My wife spoke up for me and told them they made the drink wrong and the trainer told her with attitude how they make the drink she told them how it’s usually done. He didn’t like that she answered and another worker came over to help us out with the drink it was great after that.

I ordered Venti size and its full of ice Then i made a second order with less ice as you see the cup on the right its full of foam to make it like the cup is full what a scam this place I paid $6 for each cup and its just for the ice and foam. Scammers

My first time in this DD lobby it just have few chairs and tables. There's like 9 people behind the counter no one came to take my order. Had to leave with nothing ordered. Parking space is almost full probably with just employees cars.

I had a terrible experience here. I ordered a Mocha coffee with one espresso shot and paid for it, but they didn’t even include the shot. When I brought it up, instead of fixing it, they argued with me! The staff was rude, and the coffee was just as bad. Definitely not worth the money. I will never come back here again. This is for the Dunkin’ Donuts at 255 Farmington ave in Hartford. This is a drive through worth driving to and driving through. I like the mid day crew and always stop in that time frame . Friendly glad to wait on you today service . This shoukd be a model store for the Dunkin chain . The food is good the coffee is awesome and the wait is never unreasonable. Good people doing great jobs !

Haven’t been here in a long time and service used to be good. Today the dude at the cashier is just worried about the people he knows, that are coming into Dunkin’ Donuts. It had to be about 10 to 12 of his friends and family members, and he and them didn’t give a damn about anybody else sitting there waiting to order. You’re trying to put in your order, and ask him questions but he’s not even paying attention. The order came out completely wrong. I only came here because it was a right across the street. Go to another one, because this one is horrible. The manager need to do a better job of hiring and training these employees.

They do not know how to make coffee. 2nd day my Mocciato taste like nothing. Which is crazy if you added unsweetened vanilla and 2 splendor. If you don't drink the coffee you don't know how to make the coffee. The short older women always want to argue back and fourth. The only good thing about here is the guy from Togo 🇹🇬 he is the best person they have everyone else is out to lunch.

I was getting dinner next door and walked over after for an iced latte. It was around 6:30 pm so they were getting ready to close up. It looked like your typical Dunkin. I appreciate that they had restrooms because the restaurant I was in next door didn't have one! The woman at the counter seemed ready to go home. I asked if they had any cookies left; her reaction was odd, like if I insulted her or something. Then I ordered a medium iced latte, what I got was a medium iced milk with a splash of coffee; the drink was almost white. I added my own sugar and took a sip in the car, I couldn't drink it. It was a complete waste of money, most likely won't return and definitely don't recommend going 30 minutes before they close.

At noon time March 5 traffic in store light moving along. The plaza this is in has many popular venues and the parking lot volume is not enough to support the amount of customer traffic in general because of this . I would have liked to see visible handicap spaces. The employees were accommodating to my order. I ordered a frozen coffee. They made it to my liking. No chunky ice and the flavor was just right.

Does anyone know what this disgusting concoction is? I thought I ordered bacon, egg & cheese croissant. The service was fast and the workers were polite. The “food” however was absolutely appalling. I couldn’t even finish it! The “egg” was like mushy powder, the cheese was fake American plastic tasting and I couldn’t bring myself to chew it. I feel sick now after only eating half of one of these tasteless treats. 🤮🤮🤮. I give this establishment three pukes for my rating.

For a small location, they offer a fair amount of selection. The staff here is courteous and very friendly. Despite its size it's usually a quick visit even when the business is at peak hours. Very good group of people. The only downside is the plaza can get pretty cluttered and tends to get a little rowdy, but it's usually not too bad

This is an OK Dunkin. I’m in this part of town about once a week and prefer the one over at 56 Park Rd that I go to other times during the week. I’ve had a couple of issues with this one, mostly related to including donuts in my mobile order. The first time, they were out of that particular donut (and it was a seasonal one, so no big deal, didn’t mind waiting in line to pick a different one). The next two times, I picked typical classic donuts and they had them in stock but neither time did it actually come in my mobile order. I spent about an extra 10 minutes both times waiting in line to ask the cashier for the donut in my mobile order. What’s the point of mobile order if I end up having to wait in line anyways?

Staff was friendly and professional. Quarter Pounder was barely cooked, but I ate it anyway. Coffee was good, blueberry muffins were okay. There was only 2 people ahead of me, but it was taking so long that one left. About 10 people had already ordered and were waiting for their food. One lady had enough with the waiting and demanded her money back. Always an adventure at this location. No drive thru here.

After placing my order 2-4 x, it was still wrong. I had to pull aside for 15+ minutes for them to bring me my wrong order. This was while I was trying to get to work. Absolutely a nightmare. Please go to a different location if you are in a hurry and want the correct food. Awful service. They have no idea what they are doing.

For this town , it’s a very outdated and messy place. My burger was pink, service is slow, tables are very dirty and didn’t see anyone clean for like a whole 40 minutes.

Worst McDonald's ever. Friendly staff though. Egg McMuffin with no cheese and no ham! While I was there another guy was complaining about no cheese on his Sausage McMuffin and like a dummy I forgot to check mine until I was already too far to do anything but eat it.

Wow! I've been to this location dozens of times. It's usually stressful, slow, dirty, etc. but the food is typically good. Today though, on Friday, September 29 at lunchtime, was amazing! It felt like a whole new location. It was so clean inside. Customer service was top tier, very friendly and pleasant. My food tasted like how McDonald's used to taste back in the day which was fresh and flavorful. Whatever team was working today really put their whole McDussy into their shift. They deserve recognition!

4 employees working during the dinner rush on a friday is inappropriate...Gave another try on a different friday night, more than 15 minute wait and I walked out... You get served faster at a sit down restaurant... Who ever runs this place is terrible

There’s a new guy in charge of cleaning here, and the difference is very noticeable! The place, which was already good, is now even cleaner, more organized, and well taken care of. He’s very fast and does an excellent job — you can really see his dedication. My family and I come here often because it’s close to home, and ever since he started, the environment has improved a lot. Great work!

Lydia is quite hostile and rolled her eyes the moment we came to the register getting defensive because we talk quick to place an order. That was the first strike/red flag but then, she got an attitude when I defended myself in placing my order and talking over us. Then she threw the receipt on the counter because me and my friend were talking about how rude she was out loud to each other. She kept ignoring our request and decided to talk about us to another customer and another employee in Spanish but we quite understand Spanish. Then, when our order was burnt Rob replaced it with a lot of respect to keep the calm. She then, proceeded to clean the windows with the same dirty rag as the tables and another customer asked her a question and she stomped her feet at the customer. I don’t understand why she works there if she isn’t happy but we spend money there far too often than to be disrespected for no reason. She can play victim all she wants but she should be more friendly.

As of September 20, 2025 there is a card skimmer if you pay at the counter. I've stopped here twice, and the first time, they were fully staffed and it took 25 minutes to get my iced coffee made. I was the only order on the dunkin side, and the Baskin Robbins side had no spoons but wasn't stopping people from ordering ice cream in dishes? Today, they were hugely understaffed. 3 people working at mach speed to take care of everyone. I understood my 10 minute wait.

They were a little off key today. My sandwich was done before my coffee even made it to the counter. And all I got was an iced coffee. And the iced coffee really tasted horrible today. When I tried to feed a little bit to my dog at the house and they snubbed the food from Dunkin' Donuts it makes me wonder if a dog won't eat it should I be eating it?

The team here used to be awesome, quick and the restaurant spotless. They are now entirely understaffed with nobody who seems to be in charge. Complete Chaos and waiting times for simple small orders in store take forever aqnd clearly are not as valued as the mobile orders. The other day as a line was 5 deep and several partieis were waiting for their orders, There was 1 cashier and one sandwich maker. Wait would have been expected if in clear view of the waiting areas the third "team ",member was stacking and sorting cups in the back while her temmates were struggling.

Terrible! Place a mobile order a few times and because of lack of staff they will have it “closed” because lack of employees! But won’t give refunds! Most the time there’s one lady in the morning trying to keep up with all mobile orders and walk in customers. Place is horrible!

The bar was the perfect spot—plenty of space, a lively atmosphere, and an amazing server named Amy. Amy was an absolute star: friendly, welcoming, and she managed the bar with impressive skill. A huge thank you to Amy for making our visit so enjoyable! ​The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the churro bites, which were a great choice. For my main, I had the Friendly Toast Bunny, an eggs Benedict dish where the eggs were poached to perfection and the ham was just right. My husband was equally thrilled with his hash quiche, a creative and delicious dish that featured hash browns shaped into a bowl topped with eggs. The coffee was excellent as well, with no complaints whatsoever. ​Our brunch was a huge success, thanks to the amazing team at The Friendly Toast. It's clear that their commitment to great food and exceptional service makes them a must-visit for anyone looking for an incredible brunch experience.

First time visiting and it didn’t disappoint! We came as a party of two for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. I tried the tots with their cheese sauce — absolutely delicious. We also ordered the breaded chicken sandwich topped with a fried egg and bacon, which was hearty and flavorful. The eggs Benedict with potatoes was another highlight, cooked perfectly and very satisfying. My only small wish is that they offered freshly squeezed orange juice — I always miss it at breakfast spots. That said, they make up for it with a nice variety of mimosas and a good coffee selection. Overall, tasty food, generous portions, and a pleasant way to start the morning. We’ll definitely be back! Ange was our host and she was amazing.

My friend and I decided to stop in and try this spot. I'm not usually one for breakfast unless it's a bacon egg and cheese but I was interested in trying either way. So first off, the parking is a pain there is construction on the street so I had to park all the way around the block. Also, you have to pay for the meter. After walking in you're met with super cute nostalgic decor. We sat in a booth there was a mannequin standing behind us so that was a little funny and I kept feeling like someone was standing there. Also, our waitress was nice but we had to ask for extra napkins, extra water, and she took quite some time to come back and take my drink order since my friend had already ordered and I was still looking at the menu. I originally had a coupon for $30 off of $90 and that was a big reason my friend and I decided on this restaurant. At the end they said that they weren't excepting the coupons due to an IT problem. I thought that they would manually be able to put it in but she didn't. We just paid regular price anyway. I enjoyed the food more than I thought I would. We tried an avocado toast 8/10, some like it tot 9/10, chicken and waffles 8.5/10, cinnaswirl French toast 5/10 the bread was chewy and stale at the same time and too sweet. I’m not a big fan of cheesecake and the cheesecake buttercream was a lot. My friend had tried the classic mimosa flight, and I tried the endless summer mimosa flight. I really enjoyed 2/4 of the drinks the mango-marg and the tropic like it’s hot mimosa. Overall I’d go back to for the food again.

It was giving MID. Not amazing, not terrible. We went at 9:30am on Sunday, put our names on the list, which was an hour wait. I have no problem with that because it was a Sunday morning - we walked around West Hartford for a little while. We were then seated and the place was very loud but there were a few tables open so I’m not sure why we had to wait so long to get seated. Once our waitress came to our table to greet us, it was so loud we could barely hear her and I asked her to speak up because my father is hard of hearing and she didn’t seem to care - which was frustrating. We then ordered drinks and she took our food order. The food itself took FOREVER. We were waiting for about 35minutes (AFTER OUR HOUR WAIT TO GET SEATED) and many other tables were waiting for food for a while as well. You would think a chain like this would have better planning for busy mornings. We finally got our food and it was lack luster. I think their food was over priced and the portions were small. Their food is more for an Instagram post than for actual taste. My eggs (2), bacon (3 pieces) toast (1 piece) and home fries (about a quarter cup) were not worth the $17 I paid for it. OH AND THEY CHARGE FOR SYRUP. They give you a little bottle of syrup and if you ask for more they charge you $3. I was appalled. Like….why….? It is a very odd business model. They also have a service charge so that’s annoying. We also had to practically beg for our check!!! Other people in the restaurant were also frustrated with the service. I was not impressed and left feeling disappointed. Too loud and portions are not worth the price. Service is mediocre AT BEST. This place is more for social media posts and not for enjoying the actual food.

3.5 stars. We went Friday for brunch - service was on the slower side and our waiter forgot about us a few times. Mt friends coffee was too strong and had a straw wrapper in it, but they brought a new one. Restaurant was clean and well decorated. The food was just okay. The French toast bites had too much going on but the custard topping was delicious. The hash brown cups were good, but their house potatoes were better. Fruit salad was okay. I appreciated the real maple syrup option. With the amount of quality breakfast places in west hartford I wouldn’t go again.

We had the best experience at The Friendly Toast! It has a fantastic menu, full of puns, interesting choices, and the food was phenomenal. The service was exceptional! Our server, Steven, was attentive, quick, and friendly! The manager, Brandon, made us laugh, gave great recommendations for the area, and went above and beyond to make our party feel welcomed. Please visit this place!!

The fire burger was really good. The waffle fries were nothing special. The avocado bread was okay, looked good. The French toast bites was good, the siracha sauce added a nice touch to the dish. The tater tots were good as well.

Sunday 7:10pm Walked in, sorry we’re closed. I said I was just looking for a coffee. Well, if you give me a good tip I’ll get your coffee. And I did go through it just because the person I was with wanted a coffee otherwise I will never be back And the sad part the last words was well I was going to throw this coffee away. Anyways it’s the end of the day.

I do not like the new paper cups for hot beverages because your beverage will not stay hot for a very long period of time. I miss the styrofoam cups for hot coffees and teas. Don't waste your money buying their Dunkin' Donuts cup products as they don't last for a long period of time and they're very expensive. Coffee prices are on the high end not as high as Starbucks but for a cup of coffee I would recommend making it at home

Zero customer service some people do not have good customer service I do not want to set certain things on here but I will never go back there I just went there

Quick And polite Great Staff

All I wanted was a cappuccino and it was not made correctly. I went back in and asked for it to be fixed, not only did the young man give me an attitude, he also has no clue how to make a cappuccino. The service was horrible! The manager heard me talking to the young man and also stormed out of the store to smoke a cigarette not wanting to be bothered by me. I will no longer be returning to this store or any other Dunkin’ Donuts for that matter!

Excellent service! We got a sourdough sandwich for FREE for the wait we had. The manager and employees are very friendly and kind. The restaurant is clean. It's a small space, but most people get their orders to go anyways.

Need new employees everyone there slacks in communication skills. I called to simply ask a question and their immediate response to answering the phone was “what do you want, south main st” then he said “hello” before I even got the chance to speak and hung up right away. Very disappointed in their choice of employees, this is not the first time they’ve disappointed me.

Before I start this complaint, I need to say that I rarely ever complain and like to give good feedback on businesses. I had the worst experience that I have ever had at any restaurant. At around 11:30am, I went to go buy a dozen donuts for my coworkers, but had to use the bathroom first. I went to open the door and it was locked. So I waited like anybody else does. Next thing I know, an employee walks out and asks if I’m the one waiting to use the bathroom. I said that I was and she proceeded to berate me loudly in front of the whole store, treating me like I was her naughty five-year-old, saying that I needed to knock before I entered. I told her that the door was locked, that I didn’t enter, and to lose her attitude. I also told her that most people automatically juggle the knob if there’s no sign saying to knock first. She proceeded to argue with me, and we got into a screaming match. I demanded to speak to the manager but they said that person was not there. No employee should EVER treat customers that way! I have been doing customer service for over 40 years, and I would NEVER speak to someone and disrespect them like she did to me! You do not need people like that working at your store treating their customers this way. She needs to be fired. I was told that her name is Avi. She does not belong in any type of job facing customers. I come to the store spending a lot of money regularly, but will never go in there again, unless she is fired. I am also contacting my friends at corporate to make sure that this issue is settled. Needless to say, I left without buying anything and went to another Dunkin to give them my business instead. Her behavior may work in an inner city fast food place, but it doesn’t work in West Hartford. Please fix this situation. Thank you!

My orders are always on time. I would gladly give a 5 however the work area at times appears untidy and not clean. I also question why they give you the option of a toasted English Muffin when it's barely toasted, if at all. The prices are fair and certainly beat Panera and so does the service but I wonder sometimes about the cleanliness behind the counter and how food is being handled. I think they could do better and also bring back the french crueller donut. If New Britain Avenue can make them, why can't Bishop's Corner. It's their best donut by far. BRING IT BACK!
