Cafe Medina is a popular spot in Vancouver known for its luxurious and contemporary design, offering an eclectic daytime menu with unique waffle toppings. The cafe serves up Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, along with a variety of coffees, teas, cocktails, wines, and beers. It's a bustling brunch spot with French roots and offers traditional dishes like couscous and cassoulet alongside breakfast plates featuring items such as merguez sausage and smoked salmon.
We had the paella and pork sandwich. The pork was crispy, soft and tender at the same time. Probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had. The foccacia bread was so delicious as well. The waffle is amazing, probably one of the best waffles as well. Come to this spot 🚀

We were a group of six and had to wait almost two hours, even though the estimated wait time was about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The staff made up for it with a nice gesture, offering us free coffee and a waffle. I ordered the fricassee, and it was delicious! The braised rib was definitely the highlight of the dish, tender and flavorful. But the real star of Medina Café is their waffle. I honestly can’t tell you how much I loved it, crispy, buttery, and perfectly paired with their toppings. Definitely a must-try!
Amin S — Google review
We tried two dishes — one with lots of mushrooms and sunny-side-up eggs that had a new, slightly sour taste but was overall satisfying. The other was a steak dish with eggs and greens — the dressing was definitely the highlight of that one. The best part of our brunch, though, was the mocha! Made with milk chocolate and lavender, it was unique and delicious. Overall, it was a good experience for an easy Monday, but I’d say it’s not quite worth waiting in line for on the weekend.

I really loved this place! From the moment I called to ask about their gluten free options, I spoke with the owner, who mentioned his wife is also celiac, and right away I knew I would be in good hands. That level of understanding and care made such a difference. When we arrived, the owner was so warm and welcoming. He took the time to get to know us and personally recommended the Wolves Breakfast, which was incredible, especially if you are looking for a high-protein option. The matcha latte was also so good and really well made. I was told the waffle is a must-try as well. The only thing I’ll say is that besides the Wolves breakfast - there’s not much more gluten free offerings. Highly recommend Medina for a cozy breakfast with an atmosphere built on positivity, genuine hospitality, and great food. A true Vancouver gem.
Chandni C — Google review
The best thing about this cafe is the service. Aya served us and she was the KINDEST server/bartender I've ever met. Super sweet, warm, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about the menu items. My friend and I went on Saturday morning for brunch. We asked her to take a quick picture of us when it was super busy and she agreed to do it with the nicest smile. We were really impressed by her proactive demeanour and friendly disposition. This is an excellent place to be served for weekend brunch. I highly recommend their Belgian waffle with the berry compote (not in the picture - we devoured it as soon as it touched the table).
Solé — Google review
food hits that sweet spot between comfort and creativity, and the flavours are consistently on point. Their brunch classics are famous for a reason, and the waffles with dipping sauces are basically a Vancouver rite of passage. The space has that lively, cozy energy that makes you want to linger a bit longer. Service is quick, friendly, and they handle the rush well. If you’re in the mood for a brunch that actually feels worth the line, Medina is still the move.
D. T — Google review
Good breakfast/brunch spot downtown! Despite the long line, the wait time was just 20 min for 2, pretty okay in my opinion. Loved the food, service was great, my only comment would be it’s a bit awkward being sat at the small-ish tables near the entrance and have 2 servers squeezed on both sides of the table. Besides that the experience was great! will visit again. :)
Dany — Google review
At opening time on Saturday morning there is a 50 person line, but it was worth the short wait. By 9:15 we were seated. I was amazed by the extreme efficiency in which this place handled the amount of people, but still providing excellent service! The coffee and waffles are absolutely delicious and you should definitely try it! For main we choose to share the Wolf Platter, which has a bunch of different things. I personally liked the steak (and sauce) the bacon, potatoes and eggs the best, but it was cool to try 3 different types of sausage as well.

Brunch restaurant
Jam Cafe is a bustling and popular family-owned eatery in Vancouver, with two locations including one in Kitsilano. The rustic interior is adorned with vintage knick-knacks, creating a fun and funky vibe. Known for serving the best brunch in Vancouver, it's no wonder there's always a line. The extensive menu offers all-day breakfast items and breakfast cocktails like the Jammer Mimosa.
My friends and I came to this restaurant and we all got different meals and loved it. The French toast with chicken is to die for! Perfectly balanced. I recommend getting the hash browns extra crispy. The salmon and farmers Benedict were the best that my friends said they ever had! Even if there’s a long line, it still goes pretty quickly. Very enjoyable breakfast. Fills you up for the day! Edit: we literally returned the next morning to enjoy the breakfast again! Two of the four got different meals and loved them and my friend loved hers so much she got it again. Delicious. Photos can’t even do it justice! We also tried the mimosas today - we love the variety in choice. As we we’re waiting in line, we literally heard a family say how much it was worth the wait! I must, if you were in the city of Vancouver!
Avery M — Google review
A must-try, despite the wait! The Jam Cafe line was definitely long, but the food was worth the anticipation. Everything we ordered was great—a true comfort food feast. The only stumble was with a side order: I asked for two medium poached eggs and they came out hard-poached instead. A minor flaw, but the overall meal was excellent and well worth a visit when you are in Vancouver.
Remee D — Google review
EXCEPTIONAL!!! On the last day of a short visit to Vancouver, Jam Cafe was selected as the “farewell” (the “icing”) to this culinary adventure. Jam Cafe (Beatty Street; there are other locations) did NOT disappoint. In fact, it EXCEEDED -very- expectation. Yes, there was a wait; perhaps 15-20 minutes, longer for larger parties; reservations are not accepted. The line moved, time passed. Once inside, the reason for waiting became clear: There are perhaps 20 tables in all; seating is limited. Yes, it IS worth the wait. The breakfast offerings were EVERY bit as delicious and inviting as can be imagined. Other diners enjoyed heaping portions of waffles, chicken, and almost every other menu selection. Service was polite, prompt, and efficient, and once ordered, breakfast arrive quickly. There was no “rush” to the experience, which was another plus. Brave the lines, arrive hungry, and feast!!!
Bill J — Google review
This was highly recommend on social media for breakfast and it was for good reason! Although we had to wait outside for a good 25 min, nice we got a table, it was smooth sailing from there. The place itself is pretty small, but it's cozy. Our breakfast was delicious, those banana nut pancakes were to die for. Highly recommend, it's worth the wait.
Alesya K — Google review
Fried chicken benny was off the hook. The lemon blueberry pancake was delicious as well. Such crazy big portions. Could’ve easily fed a whole table of 4. The hashbrowns were different than what I’m used to but super delightful, almost like a mash potato on the inside and crispy on the outside. The sauce on the fried chicken benny was awesome too.
Vinny R — Google review
Arrived and 30 min line up, decided to stay as the line grew and grew. Once inside it was a very friendly and cozy. The staff were Very friendly and the food...... OMG it was amazing. I had the eggs benny pork belly and also we shared the blueberry lemon pancakes. We will DEFINITELY be back.
Richard M — Google review
It is am amazing place for brunch. The food is not only tasty but for the price the portion size are huge. Rarely I see such good portion sizes. They have good selection of brunch items and I will surely on my next visit try other items as all seem to be great. We tried the French Toast and the Egg Benedict. The service was amazing and very friendly. We luckily had 20 min waiting time as it was weekday and rainy day. The ambience is cozy and different but very likeable. One should surely visit it and I will do it again when back in Vancouver.
Nameeta K — Google review
I have been to the Kitslano Jam Cafe many times but this is my first time at this location. The first surprise was there was no line up and I was seated immediately and waited for a friend to join. Our server, Penny, was at the table immediately with water and I ordered an oat milk latte. My friend arrived shortly and Penny was right there to take her Americano order. I ordered the breakfast with chicken sausage and substituted tater tots for hash browns. My friend ordered the omelette with pork sausage side. The food arrived hot and fresh and tasty. Jam Cafe never disappoints and btw they have a location in Victoria as well. Great food. Great service.

Brunch restaurant
OEB Breakfast Co. in Yaletown, Vancouver is a top downtown spot that elevates breakfast and brunch with innovative and passionate culinary creations. The restaurant offers stunning views of False Creek, making it an ideal place to savor a delicious meal while taking in the waterfront scenery. Popular menu items include The Gold Digga and The One That Did Not Get Away, both of which showcase the restaurant's commitment to creativity and quality ingredients.
The food at this restaurant was excellent, but our experience with our specific server was disappointing. After waiting a while for our order to be taken, our server, Jasmine M., was completely absent until we had finished our meal. We waited for 35 minutes without any water or acknowledgement. Fortunately, three other servers later noticed and stepped in to help, bringing us food, water, and checking in on us. The food itself was fantastic—we cleared our plates! The short rib poutine is missing in our photos.

Went there for brunch with friends plus an infant and the place was very accommodating to our group. Although there was no wait, finding a nearby spot to park was difficult. The server recommended the non alcoholic Yuzu drink which I found it kind of disappointing for the price. Service was pretty standard so I'm giving it a low 4. The brunch options were pretty decent and poached eggs were done extremely well. One of the lobster options we chose was a bit disappointing as it was mixed more with small shrimp than actual lobster. For that experience, the food is solid 4. The atmosphere was pretty good and the washrooms were very clean. Solid 5 for the atmosphere. Overall, I will give this place another try if parking wasn't so inconvenient.
Charlie C — Google review
I ordered the breakfast Sammy. It was delicious!! The only thing is that they took too long to bring the food and the umbrellas didn’t protect us from the sun. Besides that, good service and amazing food! UPDATE: I was invited again to OEB. Thank you William, it was great meeting you and be back. The food, as always is amazing, you cannot go wrong. The staff are the nicest you’ll find in vancouver. Great attitude and always making you feel welcome. However, I had the same problem with the sunlight, even though I was seated inside, the sunlight hit me directly in the face. Also they took a lot of time to bring the food. I waited like 20 min for a coffee refill and had to asked three times to two different servers. Overall, the food is amazing and the staff are super nice. I will just improve the food times and the sunlight.
Czar — Google review
We found this spot on our walk and it looked inviting with outdoor seating and beautiful yellow umbrellas. We were seated quickly and I have to say that the service was fantastic! Breakfast was filling and delicious. There are gluten free breakfast options as well. We will be back!

The food here is absolutely amazing, top tier of the city!! Super popular spot, almost everything on the menu is great especially the poutine and chicken waffle!! Kat our server is also amazing, super friendly and attentive, this is a great experience. The view under the sun is also just phenomenal

It is the BEST restaurant in this city. The manager and staff are very kind and attentive. Also they continuously checked how the guests enjoying the served food. I love the cinnamon apple pancake. It was literally amazing ever. Thank you for your nice service and brunch. Don’t hesitate choosing this restaurant.

The food was awesome, but in my case I wish it have more vegan options 🥲 I had an avocado toast and my husband had the falafel option (without the bun, and they didn’t have another vegan bread, which we didn’t get it because my order was vegan and had toast 😅). I also ordered the berry smoothie, which tasted very good :)
Daniella R — Google review
I had family visiting from out of town and wanted to eat at OEB. We chose this location based on the convenience on where they were staying. Their staff was super friendly and quite accommodating for our group. They knew what they were talking about especially with the allergy needs of one of my guests. Their manager came by to talk to us about it and they were really good at making it work for our table. The food took a bit of time since they were busy but when it came out, it looked great and smelled wonderful. Everything was hot and just the way we ordered it. Tasted even better. I did order a specialty drink from their little menu. The yuzu lemonade and it was really refreshing. We ordered a crepe for dessert and they took care of it for us so that was really cool for my family and I. Overall the atmosphere was really nice and inviting. I loved the colours and decorations. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and I really can’t recommend it enough. I will definitely bring other family here when they come to visit and look forward to seeing this place again. I forgot to take pictures of the food this time as it was so appetizing everyone dug in right away. Next time!! Thank you.

Yolks is a delightful breakfast haven that has transformed from a beloved food truck into a charming brick-and-mortar restaurant in Vancouver. With locations on East Hastings and West Broadway, this spot serves up an elevated menu featuring free-range eggs and double-smoked bacon. Guests can indulge in an array of dishes, including perfectly poached eggs benedict, hearty steak and eggs, or the indulgent chicken and waffles. The dreamy pancakes are not to be missed!
We came here today to try this place out around 11 am and only had to wait about 15 mins to get a table inside. We ordered the portobello mushroom poached egg sandwich with tomato soup which was super delicious. Because today was so rainy, the soup absolutely hit the spot and was very flavourful! Highly recommend trying their tomato soup. I ordered the smokehouse bacon Benny and it was perfectly poached and the bacon was crispy which was perfect for covering in hollandaise. Portions were good. Service was great and would definitely come back.
Sarah T — Google review
We went for brunch at Yolks and overall had a good experience. The vibe of the place was great and the servers were friendly and attentive. That said, during peak hours the food took quite a while to arrive, which made the wait feel longer than expected. The dishes themselves were decent — reasonably tasty but could have used a bit more seasoning (maybe it’s meant to be on the healthier side). For me, the breakdown would be: • Food: 3.5/5 • Service: 4/5 • Atmosphere: 4/5 A solid brunch spot, just be prepared for a wait if you’re there during busy times.
Brett — Google review
I got the chicken and waffle benny and loved it. Chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, Waffles tasted great and didn’t even need maple syrup. My egg was done just how I ordered it and I loved the grilled tomato on the side. My daughter stole my watermelon and wished there was more. Service was ok. We’ll go back.
Bahar S — Google review
Great Service and excellent food. I honestly feel every single ingredient is made with care. Best brunches we had in a while! Came here for a quick lunch end up bringing my wife back here for her to try.

Stopped by this morning for a solo breakfast prior to heading for North Shore. Why not take an advantage of their outdoor patio with direct views of Vancouver's Port. Cappuccino was smooth and rich, portobello mushroom benny with soft poached eggs and a goat cheese was done above and beyond my expectations.
Eugene S — Google review
Loved this place! Came here while visiting fam in Vancouver and sad that we have to leave it behind. Bennys are definitely a highlight but good breakfast/brunch selection inclding pancakes,.chicken and waffles, frittatas and more. There are even lunch options - the Cobb salad almost swayed me from the Smoked salmon & avocado benny but I decided to take in the bc smoked salmon while I could. Food was sooo good! And our server was excellent! So personable and friendly in a low key vibe while still being attentive and on point with anything we needed. Loved the fact that the place started as a food truck and has grown to where they are now. (Personally it's nostalgic of my family's restaurant background,& cant help but love seeing small businesses succeed!) I will definitely come back when out West again.(Im already missing the lemon truffle potatoes🤤)

Fantastic kids menu! I didn’t even realize they gave my son a kids menu - It was a colouring sheet they gave with crayons. The options were great and my son was thrilled. They are very accommodating with dairy and gluten intolerances. Food and service were excellent. Will definitely be back.

Catch 122 Cafe Bistro is a popular spot in Vancouver's Gastown area, known for its contemporary Canadian cuisine and top-notch brunch. The rustic-chic space features exposed brick walls and wooden decor, creating a cozy atmosphere to enjoy the decadent brunch menu served daily until 3:00 pm.
An old college friend of mine brought me to this hip cafe and bistro yesterday, Thursday late afternoon. I really like the great atmosphere, modern design, tucked away between buildings. I can't wait to try the desserts but I was too full with my delicious burger and spicy fries. They make a great black coffee too with the perfect bitterness for my taste buds. I will be back with my wife.

Food was great for the weekend brunch menu! I’d rate this in between a 4-4.5. Chicken and waffles was great! Very crispy and delicious! Brisket sandwich was good but not my fave. Also replaced chips with broccolini. Not as flavourful as I was hoping. KFC was good, had a bit of a kick to it but great sauce! Waiters were nice and helpful! Would definitely recommend a visit!

If you’re looking for a place that goes way beyond the usual dining experience, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. The menu is incredibly extensive and impressively creative—offering dishes and drinks you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re a foodie chasing something adventurous or someone who loves variety, there’s something here for everyone. Each item feels carefully curated, and you can tell the kitchen takes pride in pushing boundaries. Fridays are a real treat—live music adds. Special shoutout to the staff—they’re genuinely warm, attentive, and make you feel at home from the moment you walk in. It’s rare to find a team that combines professionalism with such good energy. (Happy hour thursday - food menu limited please be aware) We ordered calamari, burger, and caesar with chicken. I love how generous they are with the cheese! The truffle parm fries are delicious and crunchy. It’s all really good. The caesar i would prefer with reg croutons instead of bread on the side.

Restaurant
Au Comptoir is a charming cafe in Kitsilano, Vancouver, offering a delightful experience of traditional Parisian cafes. Opened by French expats Maxime Bettili and Julien Aubin, the restaurant features a bar counter designed by Ateliers-Nectouxa, known for its handcrafted 1930s-style pewter bar tops.
We came to Au Comptoir for weekend brunch and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was! The food might look simple at first glance, but the flavors were amazing. I had the burger, which was incredibly juicy and perfectly complemented by sautéed onions and melted cheese. The fries were piping hot and super crispy, and the side salad was fresh with delicious seasoning. Service was also top-notch—friendly, attentive, and they kept our water refilled without us even asking. A lovely French spot we’ll definitely return to!

There were four of us we had a fabulous time. I enjoyed my coffee but I could not eat the delicious looking cookie. One of my dining partners ordered croissant while we waited for the remainder of our party; they were not offered butter or jam. But this service resides at was spectacular and fun. Note to Owner/Manager/Chef 🧡I realize that it is inauthentic to have a gluten-free croissant that there must be a supplier in Vancouver. I have been fortunate to have them in other large cities. Thank you for a great experience
Eva P — Google review
Attentive service (although our server forgot to bring our ordered beverages before our meal) our water glasses were always topped up, and we were constantly checked on without feeling interrupted. Food is simply remarkable. Beautifully plated, explained as it was served, and above all: tasty! The bread was crusty on the outside without causing that scratchy sensation in your mouth, while being soft and velvety on the inside. The tartare was fresh, almost creamy in texture and well seasoned (it was delicious spread on the bread), duck breast had a perfect sear with skin that was crispy from the right amount of fat that was rendered off leaving a meaty, juicy and savoury chew, and the slice of lamb loin was hearty and so satisfying. The accompanying sides of creamed plantains and veggies (especially the earthy mushrooms that came with the lamb) were perfect matches. We couldn’t decide which plate was our favourite as they all shined in their own right. Same goes for the dessert…I don’t really have a sweet tooth but I thoroughly enjoyed sampling all four of the desserts chosen for our table. This is a special place indeed. I haven’t come in a while and that is a regrettable mistake I won’t be repeating.

Had brunch on a long weekend and the food was on point. Hubby ordered the burger and it was juicy and full of flavor. I ordered the bavette steak which had pasta that was chewy, but it was tasty overall. Our friend ordered the Benedict. As her order was not ready at the same time as ours, she was served with an appetizer, which was a nice touch. Their crème brûlée was creamy, smooth and just the right amount and crisp of the crust. We all left satisfied and I’d have to come back for the burger that hubby was raving about.

Au Comptoir delivers a genuine Parisian bistro experience right here in Kitsilano, complete with a beautiful tin bar and warm, inviting ambiance. The food was delicious—comforting, flavorful, and totally worth every bite. Their desserts are pure magic—elegant, indulgent, and always the perfect sweet ending.

Went for a birthday dinner and we were both blown away by our meals. The duck was delicious and the bavette even better. I had requested to have my bavette fries instead of what was on the menu and they were very accommodating. The service was perfect and the setting lovely. Highly recommend!

Belgard Kitchen, nestled in Railtown just east of Gastown, is a charming wood-walled spot known for its gourmet pizzas and creative local fare. The restaurant offers a wide selection of beers from the on-site Postmark Brewery and over 30 wines on tap. With a rustic yet welcoming decor, friendly staff, and inspired brunch fare, it's considered one of the best brunch spots in Vancouver.
Belgard Kitchen offers a brunch experience that hits all the right notes. From the moment you step in, the space sets the tone – warm, interiors and communal vibes that make you feel instantly at ease. The brunch itself? Fantastic. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared, hearty, and full of flavour. Portions were generous – enough to leave you happily full but still craving another visit. Definitely one of Vancouver’s go-to spots for a memorable mid-morning bite

A real gem. Excellent atmosphere, service and food. Prices are even reasonable! The scallops were perfectly seared. The risotto well made. Everything on the charcuterie was tasty. The salads a bit on the small side, and also delicious. Unique, interesting and historical decor. (It is downtown eastside so rather sad, but safe enough.)

Such a unique building, lots of character, the staff are some of the nicest in Vancouver! There was not a single piece of food left on our plates. We went for breakfast but will definitely be back for dinner. Steak and eggs were cooked to perfection and the Caesar was made just right. Opens at 10am and filled up quite quickly, we had made a reservation so to be safe to avoid waiting times I would plan ahead. 10/10, add this restaurant to your bucket list, you won’t regret it! Plenty of parking around the restaurant too.

Love this place! The food is amazing for both breakfast and dinner. They have been great when it comes to allergies, which I really appreciate. I celebrated a birthday here and had a great experience. My go-to is the gluten-free brunch flatbread sandwich—so good and a rare find for celiacs! Plus, the interior is beautiful and cozy. Always a great spot to come back to.

We recently ate at this restaurant, about two weeks ago. Belgard is a hidden gem in the heart of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. The area can feel a bit off-putting, but once inside, the space is beautiful and inviting. Plate presentation is excellent—our smoked eggplant dip looked as good as it tasted. The duck pizza was absolutely delicious and a must-order, and the yam gnocchi was rich and flavorful. The ceviche was just okay and we wouldn’t order it again. For dessert, the deconstructed Black Forest was only decent, but the coconut sorbet was a surprising standout we’d definitely have again. Staff were friendly, took time to explain the menu, and did their best to accommodate dietary restrictions. Overall, a stylish spot with thoughtful food that’s worth the visit despite the location.

Went to Belgard Kitchen for Saturday Brunch. People should know that although the restaurant itself is very nice this is a super sketchy area so beware. We were quickly greeted at the front of the restaurant and seated quickly. There’s a few servers and it took a few of them wandering back and forth before we were approached. We had time to look at the menu so we were ready to order our food and drinks once the server arrived. I had a mimosa and a friend had a non alcoholic Mojito and a latte. They have a decent wine and cocktail list with a well stocked bar. We started with blueberry French toast to share (it arrived really fast - almost too fast). The presentation was beautiful but tbh not very blueberry. For mains I had the meatball skillet and my friend had the chorizo skillet. We both found our eggs to be very watery and really void of taste. The meatballs and chorizo were good. I think I’d choose something else were we to visit again. The space itself was really cool and it’s a pleasing atmosphere. The servers were very nice and after the slow initial response we were well taken care of.

It was quite a slow response from the hostess area but we eventually got acknowledged and told them our reservation. From there everything was very efficiently organized along with table checks. The service staff along with the service manager are very delightful to socialize with 😀. The platings in general are absolutely beautiful. The classic eggs for breakfast and all the hearty earth tone flavours and colours. The comforting smells of brunch ahhhhh 😁. Now this was really satisfying and a great way to start our feast before soaking in the sun rays at the beach. It was a decent breakfast. My expectations were high because of all the good reviews. Im very happy they provided a fantastic brunch. I was also blown away by the space and decor they have inside their brewery. It's gorgeous. Loved the wooden elements. It felt so cozy. The more time you spend in here you wouldn’t even realize you’re in the heart of the downtown East side community. For non regular patrons who dine here just have a heighten sense of awareness. It’s sketchy around here… All in all a great experience. I would love to come back and try their dinner menu. 😁

I rarely get five stars, but this place was amazing in terms of food, service, and atmosphere. One of the best pizzas I've had for a long time, and it was extremely cozy in the evening. The staff made this experience exceptional.

Fantastic all around. The food is just as good as I remembered, and the place is still filled with interesting wall distractions for kids and adults alike. Our server was also great with our toddler, who loved the homemade soup of the day. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for classic comfort food in a really neat setting.

best pancakes in the city imo! been coming here for forever i forgot to rate it the potatoes are really weird and i like a crunchier option so i don’t get any of the breakfasts but the french toast and pancakes are god tier!!! my mom loves the bennys - atmosphere is too cute

Tried a new brunch spot on a whim—waited over 30 minutes before they realized they lost our order. Matcha latte tasted mostly like milk, with undissolved powder. I’d give it another try, but hoping for a more organized experience next time.

Update 8/30/2025: Sophies is fantastic. Great every time, service is always teriffic!! Every one of my friends had their first expierience here and they all loved it!!! You guys are heavy rotation as a Cheeky Brunch location and for good reason --- always great here and theyre so wonderfully accomodating with bigger (biggish?) groups ✨️💯💕💕💕🙏🏻 thank you guys!!! Will certainly be back soon 💯💕 _______ My 3rd time coming back here and this place is fantastic!!! We had an unusually large brunch group to accommodate (15! Wow!) and i tried to call ahead/arrive early to make things easier. Milkshakes are a cant-miss!!! They have at least 20 flavours but blueberry and coconut have been my go-tos--- wanna try matcha next time. My friend was delighted with her Vanilla shake and was papably giddy 😁😅 they had an amazing lobster benny last time that was superb. This time i got a nice Bc Salmon Sandwich (the fillet was huge!!) And it was a nice, light alternative. One last thing, the staff here was so personal and sweet and accomodoating for our big group----thank you!!!

Nice little place. I got the classic egg ben, it was nice but nothing that above average. The potatoes was not cooked that well, i could feel some being undercooked. Also the eggs were soft even though we asked for medium, not a deal breaker but something to mention.. Service was nice, no issues. Just since it’s crowded it takes a little time to get served, which is i think fine.
Bedir T — Google review
My friends invited me for brunch in this restaurant and I ordered a Greek Omelette. It was like scrambled eggs with ketchup taste. No creativity in sauce and not a delicious taste. I asked for hash browns and server brought some chopped fried potatoes, when I asked again, she said their hash browns are in the shape of chopped potatoes ! I ordered sour breads, but breads were ordinary white bread. Size of coffee was small and server did not check with us again for refill or anything. I was not happy with customer service and food. I got a photo of the breads and potatoes at the end of my brunch.

Nero Belgian Waffle Bar is a popular spot known for its authentic Brussels and Liege waffles, offering a variety of sweet and savory options to cater to different tastes. The cafe also serves expertly brewed espresso drinks to complement the waffles. With locations on Seymour Street and Robson Street in Vancouver, Nero Belgian Waffle Bar provides a cozy atmosphere where visitors can indulge in delectable treats like the Banella waffle with Nutella and bananas or the traditional Liege waffle.
Absolutely delicious breakfast. My only knock was having to pay $3 for syrup, which for what ever reason didn’t come standard with the waffles. The hand and cheese waffles were truly top notch in flavor. Their prices were average for the area. Staff were super friendly and service was fast. Overall if you’re looking for a delicious breakfast or lunch this is a spot you should definitely check out.

The waffles here are amazing. We got a couple of eggs benedict with salmon and ham, the brie with crispy prosciutto, and the french waffle. We enjoyed everything! The waffles are crispy and savory. The prosciutto is so good and a hefty serving too. Overall great experience. Just a quick comment though, if you are a larger group wait times might be longer. They only have a few large tables. Otherwise, don't be scared of the lines, the queue is much quicker than what we thought.

I had a wonderfully enjoyable breakfast that exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I walked in, the customer service was exceptional; the staff greeted me warmly and attended to my needs with genuine care. The food presentation was impressive, with each dish artfully arranged to delight the eyes as much as the palate. The "smashed avocado" was a standout. It was bursting with fresh flavors and paired perfectly with a hint of lime and a sprinkle of sea salt, making it both delicious and delightful. The classic "heaven" was equally impressive; its layers of flavor and textures truly lived up to its name, offering a comforting yet sophisticated experience. I left feeling completely satisfied and inspired by the meal, and I am looking forward to a return visit to explore more of the menu.

Lots of choice of savoury and sweet waffles. The service was slow but they were very busy and didn't have enough staff to cope with the number of people waiting. They were definitely trying their best and the food more than made up for it. It tasted amazing and the presentation was on point. The music was great, loads of old skool hip hop tunes to get you singing along.

Nero Waffle in Yaletown is such a lovely place for anyone who loves waffles that are both creative and satisfying! I had the smashed avocado with smoked salmon waffle on my recent visit, and wow, it was absolutely delightful. The avocado was fresh and creamy, and the smoked salmon had this rich, savoury flavour that went perfectly with the light, crisp waffle. It was balanced and not too heavy, making it the perfect brunch choice. My friend went for the grilled cheese waffle with smoked salmon, and while it looked yummy, it turned out to be a bit too salty. The cheese and smoked salmon made the flavours super heavy and intense, which might not be great if you’re sensitive to salty food. It’s definitely better for those who enjoy bold, savoury bites. We also shared a strawberry waffle for dessert, which was a lovely contrast to the savoury dishes. The waffle was crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, and the strawberries were sweet and juicy. It gave us a refreshing and light finish to our meal. The staff at Nero Waffle were so welcoming and attentive, which made our visit even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for brunch, with some really standout dishes worth trying!
Sirinya S — Google review
We had a great experience. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Service is efficient and you can get their attention easily. Lots of options for sweet and savoury waffles with an option for vegan. Choice of 2 types of waffle - you can have a light and fluffy inside with a crispy outside waffle or a leige type waffle which is slightly chewier. Cutlery feels nice to use, it has good lighting, warm and not too bright but you can still see the food. Atmosphere here has a good vibe.
Natalie M — Google review
Fun place to try for waffle lovers. The menu features sweet and savoury waffles great for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. You can dine in and order from the full menu of Belgian waffles or grab a mini liege waffle and beverage from the to-go counter. I've seen them get busy, but when I went for a weekday lunch with a friend, there was no wait for a table. I tried the brie waffle (brie cheese, apples, and greens with balsamic vinaigrette) when I went for brunch, and also have tried their churro and pistachio liege waffles. I got the brie waffle with their gluten-friendly buckwheat waffle since I really like buckwheat. The flavour of the buckwheat waffle was nice but it was very airy and a little dry. The brie topping was great. The menu changes seasonally so I don't think they're currently offering this version of the brie waffle, but they have a different baked brie waffle on the menu now. The liege waffles are very good - these are rich but still fluffy. The churro liege had the dulce de leche custard inside which was a REALLY nice treat. I think the churro liege is also out of the rotation at the time of writing, but they have other custard-stuffed flavours. The liege waffles are rather sweet, but they make a good occasional treat. They also have a full coffee bar. Their London fog was pretty good. The dine-in service was kind of slow, but the staff were very pleasant. I definitely recommend the place if you like waffles and want to try some unique waffle flavours!
Dana S — Google review
We had to wait outside for about 30 minutes before getting our order. The waffle itself was nice and crispy, but the toppings were really disappointing. The strawberries tasted sour and didn’t seem fresh at all. On top of that, the prices were quite high for the quality offered. I expected better ingredients and faster service from a place like this. I never come back.

Provence Marinaside is a classy waterfront restaurant located in Vancouver, offering a contemporary setting and French-style seafood dishes. The restaurant boasts an award-winning wine list with over 100 wines by the glass. Popular menu items include grilled prawns, scallops, and steamed mussels. In addition to lunch and dinner, Provence Marinaside serves brunch on weekends and weekdays. The restaurant's patio provides a picturesque view of False Creek, making it a popular spot for locals and visitors alike.
Taking a stroll from David Lam Park to Cooper’s Park led to an unexpected culinary delight—Provence Marinaside. So far, this place serves the best ravioli and baguette I’ve had in BC. The baguette was perfectly done—crispy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. It was so good, we couldn’t resist ordering a second one. As for the ravioli? Simply the best in town. The balance between the sauce and the filling was spot on—rich, flavorful, and satisfying. Not everything hit the same high mark though. The meatballs had a lovely tomato sauce and were well-prepared, but $16 for two medium-sized pieces feels a bit steep. Worth trying, but not the best value. The only real disappointment was the steak. We ordered it medium, but it came out clearly overcooked. While we didn’t send it back (we don’t like wasting food), even at medium-well, it just met the standard—not exceptional. The sauce, however, was excellent. Service was attentive but not intrusive—staff showed up at just the right times and treated us well throughout the meal. Despite the letdown with the steak, the overall experience and quality of the other dishes were so good that I’m still giving Provence Marinaside a solid 5-star rating. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

It is a huge restaurant offering both patio heated and indoor seating. Located right by the water, it offers a very relaxing ambiance. Decent quality except the scallops I had is a bit sandy. The pasta is on the salty side especially the salmon. They offer a dessert for the birthday person which is very generous these days. Attentive service. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Had a fantastic time with my dog! Pet friendly patio, excellent service from the time you step to be greeted, through end to service to make you feel pampered! The bennys and focaccia were to die far, the potatoes very indulgent! Ordered a side portion of ham and bacon for my doggo, served in her own little container and water bowl with ice. Coffee was refilled timely, with a keen eye to ensure you had everything you needed. The spot is by the waters, great location near Yaletown doc with lots of vegetarian options. Feedback: I would recommend though to have options to swap meat with vegetarian options like mushroom or avocado without an extra charge, it's common practice in majority of breakfast spots, so was surprised to hear this, a slight let down in comparison to the impeccable service and great quality of food. Will definitely visit again. You should sell your focaccia, I'm sure you'll have long queues to buy it! 10/10 :)

We recently dined at Provence Marineside our first time to dine there and it was an absolute delight! The ambiance was cozy and intimate, with a beautiful view of the marina. The service was top-notch - our server Andrea was attentive, knowledgeable, and super friendly. The food was exquisite! We ordered the escargot, bouillabaise, rack of lamb and seafood platter and all of them were cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the presentation was stunning. Highly recommend Provence Marineside for special occasion. Can't wait to come back!

This is going to be my favorite go to French Seafood restaurant with amazing views of Marinaside. Great food & service from concierge Lorenzo to Melody our waitress and even the gal who kept filling our water without asking. We started with nicely fried calamari which came with some light salad. Delicious & tender. We ordered the whole Dover sole lemon buttered fish to share and added seasonal veggies. Deliciously seasoned. It also came with potatoes. Note: it cost $5-$8 if you want them to cut fish for you inside. But it’s a much enjoyable experience to see the whole fish and it was easy to share as it was pre sliced on the side to lift up the fish to pull out the moist fish. Perfectly cooked as I’m a fish lover. Bonus was free surprise desert for my hubby on his bday and I tried first time French cake which was sponge cake with mixed berries inside & nice baked exterior served warm with side of vanilla ice cream. We were so thankful to be accommodated great new outdoor patio seating right on the street with amazing Marinaside view. My hubby and I are autoimmune compromised so it was nice we could reserved patio seating which most restaurants don’t do. Value of food, service, and ambiance totally worth it. I posted clips of video indoor & outdoor and menu to view. Enjoy.

Patio brunch location is the strongest offer here. Crab cake Benedict was pretty mid, dry and average. Potatoes were great! Service felt disjointed and over-staffed, while also being sluggish. High end atmosphere just doesn’t match. Not terrible though, would reserve a patio spot on a nice day if you’re willing to spend.

We stopped by Provence Marinaside for lunch on the way back from a vacation. It was absolutely wonderful. It was a typical wet fall day but as soon as you walk in the door you forget about the rain. The ambiance and the view are lovely. The staff are very helpful and attentive. The food! Do not expect a huge plate of mediocre food. This is not that type of restaurant. Expect a plate of perfectly prepared, mouth watering food that is a joy to experience. We had the oysters, fish and bouillabaisse. Everything was melt in your mouth perfection. I am very picky about my seafood but this was perfect. The creme brulee was divine. Thank you to our lovely waitress Sophie who did an outstanding job of taking care of us. Thank you all for a lovely end to a great vacation.

Nestled in the heart of Vancouver's financial district, Palate Kitchen is a contemporary dining gem housed in a beautifully restored 1920s building. This all-day café-restaurant seamlessly blends vintage charm with modern sophistication, featuring high ceilings and exposed brick walls that create an inviting atmosphere.
Amazing food, large portions, beautiful plating, unique flavours, clean and modern interior. I loved this place. A client of mine told me that I had to come here and get the French toast, so I did and have zero regrets. Staff was friendly, the open kitchen was so interesting to be sat next to, watching the beautiful plates appear. Food came out FAST and disappeared almost as quickly. Nothing was left on our plates.

I definitely will be coming back however I don’t think I’ll get the lamb bistro toast again. I came here some time before and had the Eggs Benedict, which I remember were really good. We got a complementary French toast, which was very tasty. I really liked the interior here. The tall ceilings and paneling makes it feel like it belongs in an architecture magazine. When we were here, I’d say it was about half full, but the noise level was pretty high. Also, one thing to know is that you will need to go up two or three steps to get in the door and there is no ramp, so if you have a stroller be prepared to lift.

Dined in. Food wise, fantastic. Has pulled pork Benny and Beef brisket Harveo Ranchos. Lots of meat, tender and tasty and not overly salty. The smashed potatoes were unique and still crunchy. The fried eggs that the chef made, omg, beautiful. Weird how they didn't have bowls for kids. Gave us disposable brown containers for kids instead. Washrooms are clean. Didn't feel the service was attentive enough. But the food really won me over. Great job cooks!

Very disappointing brunch experience. There were empty window seats, but the server said they were reserved — even though there were no “reserved” signs on the tables, and no one came for over an hour while we finished our meal. I ordered my steak medium well; the first one came out well done, the second came out medium rare. When paying with cash, they didn’t even provide a proper tray or change holder — it felt like paying cash wasn’t respected at all. Several servers kept switching during our meal, most of them just standing around chatting. Service was disorganized, food was average, and overall not worth the price.

We got the Afternoon Tea which was, for the most part, high quality and delicious. The tea and coffee menus were both unlimited, which was a nice touch. A couple of the sweets were lackluster, but everything else we tried was great, including the teas and matcha latte. We left full and happy. Would definitely recommend this experience!

Had the best experience today starting with the “too matcha” seasonal drink and the palate breakfast, service was top notch and multiple servers were checking in frequently and was very attentive, and genuinely seemed to be happy to help/be there! I was already having such a positive experience, and after I was done dining and working on my laptop, I was asked by the floor manager (I think) if I would move to the cafe seating to accommodate for additional guests in the dining area which was such a reasonable ask, but then he came back with their new dessert on the menu as a token of appreciation 🥹 let me just say these people know how to keep a customer happy! Thank you for such a great experience and shoutout to all the servers and the floor manager!! 🫶🏻

This place is solid. Warm and friendly staff. Great menu. Delicious food. I tried their Eggs Benny with the panko crusted chicken and garden salad. Their biscuit is so light and fluffy, I could eat those all day long. The chicken could've used more flavour or salt but I'm not even mad because their hot sauce (mild spice level) made up for it. I love good, strong coffee and I was not disappointed; they source from a local roaster! Yeah, the price is a bit more but absolutely worth it for the quality of food and service. This is my new spot when I'm on the North Shore.

First time at Douce, and we will definitely be back. Drinks and meals were delicious. The servers were all friendly and efficient, and the ingredients were all very fresh. The tater tots were especially delicious. I could have eaten a whole plate of then! Decor inside was adorable, and we were just impressed with the whole experience! Can't wait to go back!

A great place to grab brunch! We came on a Saturday morning, and it was very busy. Despite how full the restaurant was, we were able to grab a table after waiting for around 15 minutes. The interior has an eclectic mix of decor, making it feel like a vintage diner. It was so hard choosing what to get, everything on the menu looked delicious. I went with the Denver-ish breakfast bowl and the hand spun strawberry milkshake, while my partner grabbed the breakfast sammy. The food took a little while to get to us, but they were handling a large amount of customers so it wasn’t a huge deal. The servers here are kind and attentive despite the rush, which I appreciated. The food itself was delicious. The milkshake was the first I’ve had in around a decade and it was fantastic. My partner really enjoyed his sandwich, and the Denver-ish bowl had perfectly soft scrambled eggs and a delicious salad. We’ll be back for more soon!

Edit to Respond to Owner: I’ve eaten everywhere from dives to Michelin-starred restaurants, and I’d pick White Spot over this place for breakfast any day. The owner boasts about organic, local ingredients, but it doesn’t matter if she wastes them by preparing them poorly. And yes, the tater tots were the only thing edible and I don’t think you made these from scratch… if you want a really good breakfast, go to Loam. ****** We were so excited to come back to this restaurant after years away, but we were sorely disappointed. The service was friendly, however it was slow and inattentive. We had to wave them down for condiments and the check. I was excited to order the “Denver-ish Bowl”, and was very disappointed to see it wasn’t really a bowl of a Denver-style omelette, it was more like a typical breakfast (scrambled eggs, tater tots, chorizo, veg, toast) but served in a bowl. The chorizo was tasteless and very dry. The eggs were well cooked but bland, had to douse with their in-house hot sauce (which wasn’t very hot). The toast was not well toasted and soft and dry. The best thing on my plate were the tater tots. My friend ordered a regular breakfast, again, the toast was awful, the sausage was dry and tasteless, the eggs were meh, and the hashbrowns were okay once doused in ketchup. The price, the service, the food - it all left a bad taste in my mouth. Do not recommend.
Margarita W — Google review
I had a very disappointing experience here. Our table didn’t even have salt or sauces available. It took more than 20 minutes after placing our order and still nothing was served. The service was extremely slow. When the food finally arrived, it was not good at all — just plain vegetables without any sauce. The egg was also very unpleasant and had a bad smell. Overall, I do not recommend this place.

Tableau Bar Bistro is a sleek restaurant with a patio that offers hearty French bistro classics made with West Coast ingredients. The ambiance is chic and masculine, featuring high ceilings and wood paneling. Guests can enjoy traditional French dishes while listening to French pop music in the background.
Had an amazing brunch today with my family — everything was on point. The food was absolutely delicious, from start to finish. Service? Impeccable!! The staff was super attentive without being overbearing, and made the whole experience even better. Loved the friendly, welcoming vibe of the place. Definitely one of those spots you walk into and instantly feel at ease.

Anyone will give top rate to this place. I went for breakfast and after warm welcome I’ve enjoyed one of the top best breakfast in Vancouver. Everything in my plate were made in house, this place has a professional chef and kitchen. I’m now eager to try dinner. Saloon manager was an amazing lady. If you want to enjoy a fabulous meal in a nice and comfortable place, give here a try.

I had the most wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food, ambiance, and people are all truly amazing. I came here for breakfast every day during my stay and it was always a highlight. The French toast was absolutely delicious—perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The Croque Madame was another favorite, made with great quality ingredients and served beautifully. Everything was consistently fresh and tasty. On top of the food, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are so kind and welcoming. The combination of excellent quality and very reasonable prices makes this place a true gem. Highly recommend—I can’t wait to come back! Thank you

We couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate our wedding anniversary with my husband and my daughters. We were greeted with genuine smiles and a warm and attentive service by Chloe, Dayana and the rest of the team. From entrées to dessert, all the food was outstanding, every single dish was well seasoned, cooked to perfection and so tasty!! Overall, we had an amazing experience. Congratulations on the quality of your foods and beverages, but most importantly: Outstanding service!!

I wish I could say 10 stars for the service! Honestly the people who run this restaurant are so nice! They came by multiple times to make sure we were doing good and just overall made us feel really welcome! The food was so good as well and definitely elevated - the croissant was just fantastic! My wife had the eggs Benedict and it was so good!

Highly recommend Tableau if you’re looking for amazing French-inspired food with top-notch service in the city. An exceptional evening at Tableau Bar Bistro, Vancouver! The star of the night was the 40-day dry aged bone-in NY striploin, cooked flawlessly, alongside a decadent foie gras. Every bite was elevated by a perfect pairing of French wine, making the experience unforgettable. The service was warm, attentive, and professional — a true reflection of fine dining hospitality. One of the best dining experiences in Vancouver. Can’t wait to return!

It's cozy with really good service. We ordered: • Steak tartare: flavorful, but the chips alongside made it a bit heavy for midday. • Foie gras Monte Cristo: rich, smooth and fun, though pairing it with the French toast (plus the chips from tartare) had us feeling a little weighed down. • Duck confit: tender and savory, easily one of the standouts among all the dishes we had. • Steak: 👌 • Crème brûlée Definitely not the lightest lunch, but worth it for the cozy bistro vibes, great flavors, and amazing service.
Karla T — Google review
French onion soup - pretty decent. Frog legs - not traditional. Bone marrow with beef tartare - very little marrow and overpowered by tartare. Duck leg - leg was quite well done, but was too heavy with the mushroom cream sauce. Affogato - too little ice-cream and the whole thing became just a liquid cream.

Brunch restaurant
Nestled within the stunning Fairmont Waterfront, ARC Restaurant is a modern seafood haven that perfectly captures the essence of Pacific Northwest cuisine. This vibrant venue prides itself on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, some even harvested from their rooftop herb garden and beehives. A highlight of any visit is their indulgent bottomless weekend brunch, where guests can savor an endless selection of small plates like short rib poutine and decadent waffles topped with fresh berry compote—all while enjoying complimentary coffee or tea.
I didn’t expect the hotel restaurant to impress quite as much as it did. We weren’t hungry enough for a full three-course meal, so I can’t comment on the mains, but the cocktails were fantastic, the mussels and fries hit the spot, and the desserts were outstanding. Our waitress, Bruna, was excellent throughout. Her dessert recommendations were especially brilliant surprises. The cherry on top was the live music; the performer absolutely nailed the cover songs and added to the ambience perfectly.

The atmosphere was average, but the food was good and the service truly stood out. Our server, Ms. Shannon, was incredibly kind and had a warm smile on her face the entire time. She made our experience much more enjoyable
HALEY K — Google review
i came out of the bottomless brunch VERY STUFFED. i think we basically tried everything on the menu, save for one or two items. in general, the dishes were solid, but most of them didn’t really blow me away and didn’t really leave me craving for more. i won’t go through everything we had, but i’ll talk about some of the notable ones. the best thing by FAR were there buttermilk biscuits: they were crispy and crunchy on the outside, and not at all dry on the inside. they were paired perfectly with this sweet honey butter which had little flakes of salt on top that made every bite divine. the ooey gooey skillet was the second best probably, the croissant dough was SUPERRRRR soft and the cream cheese was super indulgent. there was a nice crunch from the apple too. i definitely recommend getting this unique dish. the mac and cheese was also veryyy cheesy and creamy, and the lobster meat was tender and its flavour was kind of infused in the mac and cheese. the garlic hollandaise on the pulled pork benedict was a bit salty and strong for my liking, the pulled pork was a bit too sweet, and the cornbread was a bit dry, but for some reason i still enjoyed it. the chicken and waffles were average, definitely not the best i’ve had. the chicken wasn’t that juicy or hot for that matter, but i enjoyed the fluffiness of the waffle.

We had a wonderful experience having lunch at ARC Restaurant recently with my dear friend who was visiting from out of the country. I wanted a restaurant that was downtown, near the sky train station with a great view and excellent food and we absolutely found the right place. We had great service including coat check, which I always appreciate at a fine dining restaurant. Got a table by the window. All of food was exquisite and I loved how the server was able to explain each of the items to us in detail. Special mention to the Crème Caramel (see my pic) that was next level. I’m also a big fan of shopping local and eating locals so I appreciate their province to plate program and rooftop bees and garden. The prices were in line with other fine dinning restaurants so do keep that in mind. My friend was very impressed which made me happy and we would be back in a heartbeat.

This is my one of my partners favorite brunch places, so naturally, there were some expectations and anxiety for me for choosing ARC as his birthday brunch surprise. I was so glad that I did 💛 First of all, let’s start with the food: It is ALWAYS consistent, fresh, and you can tell is made with love and care. I also love that they switch up the menu here and there between our visits! Our favorite of the day was the Salmon Roesti, I am thinking about it as I’m writing this review. It’s honestly out of this world and I wish I can have it everyday 😭😭🫣 The consistency, the flavor, all of it was top notch. Secondly, the service. Our server last time was good (you’d expect it from a higher end restaurant), but this time was PHENOMENAL. Millan took care of us, took the time to chat with us, and gave us a free birthday cake to really help us set the tone for the rest of today. I can’t rave about her service enough, it really did make both of our days and set us up for a great birthday adventure ahead. 🤭 We’ll be back sooner rather than later. Thank you ARC and Millan for a magical experience and help me celebrate my partners special day 💛💛💛

Nestled in the bustling Davie street, Red Umbrella Cafe is a cozy spot offering an extensive menu of all-day breakfasts, sandwiches, baked goods, and espresso drinks. Despite its small size, the cafe boasts friendly customer service and a varied menu. Located just minutes away from the sea, it's perfect for a post-brunch stroll along English Bay. Whether you're craving pancakes or looking for a wide variety of dishes prepared with fresh ingredients, this cafe has something for everyone.
I’ve been meaning to write this review but was selfishly keeping this West End gem to myself. I eat at this restaurant every chance I get. It’s my go to for breakfast in all of Vancouver. The food is perfectly delicious and consistent which is very hard to do. I’ve never had a meal or mocha that wasn’t 10/10. I get the Deluxe breakfast almost every time, the scrambled eggs are magic and the home made sour dough is rustic, flavourful and perfectly toasted. If you have the chance to go on a weekend the Benny is a MUST! The best part of this place is the staff. HANDS DOWN, the best group of people. They’re warm and welcoming, it’s like having breakfast with friends. Robyn, Ralph, Lorena, Rowan and Veda feel like old friends now. Whoever owns this little place needs to do whatever they can to keep this group of staff happy so they never leave.

Wonderful wait staff that speak both English and Spanish. Truly enjoyed our time at his spot for breakfast! We ordered a regular breakfast and the eggs Benedict with salmon and the portion size was perfect. If you haven’t been here before you must try this place.
Tamara M — Google review
There’s usually a bit of a wait on weekends, but honestly, we don’t mind—it’s totally worth it. The ingredients are fresh, and everything on the menu is super satisfying. The breakfasts are hearty, and you can tell they love their potatoes—crispy, flavorful, and generously served. The sourdough toast and chicken avocado omelette is a standout—delicious, packed with filling, and full of flavor. The coffee is decent, and they keep the refills coming, which is a nice touch. Service is excellent—friendly, warm, and genuinely welcoming. It’s close to English Bay, with easy street parking. There’s both outdoor and indoor seating, and the vibe is perfect for a relaxed weekend catch-up with friends. Always a great experience!

I chose this place because of reddit! It was definitely an enjoyable atmosphere. Good music, just quiet enough. It wasn't busy when I arrived, but it filled up very quickly. I ordered the smoked salmon and avocado omelette. Honestly, for $1 more, why wouldn't you? I had the homemade sourdough toast. And a cappuccino. The omelette was perfect. Subtle flavors, and the salmon was very present. The sourdough, although it had a nice crunch, didn't really have a strong sourdough flavor. Also, the juice is not fresh squeezed - be aware before you order. They also couldn't provide a wedge of lemon or lime for my glass of water. The bathroom was very clean and cozy, but not wheelchair accessible. The service was to notch. Very friendly, and very prompt delivery of food.

I love this little place and their weekend brunches. You may have to wait a little though, I wished we could add ourselves to the queue online and in advance. Farmer's Apprentice Restaurant is a charming farm-to-table eatery located in a serene spot just beyond the Granville Street Bridge. The restaurant offers contemporary Pacific Northwest cuisine and an impressive selection of organic wines. The ambiance is enhanced by eclectic music and a well-priced natural wine list, including grower Champagne and cult-classic Loire Chenin Blancs. Additionally, there are sake options and cocktails available.
FANTASTIC FOODIE FIND This casual yet sophisticated spot has so much to offer. They have a chef’s menu and an a la carte menu to suit your appetite. We’ve dined here twice when visiting this city and have loved each experience. The chef mingles flavors and textures in some really outstanding ways. We were delighted with the rösti sandos and crispy mushroom rice from this most recent visit. Our cocktails were well-crafted and the gin n tonic was especially wonderful. Service is approachable and knowledgeable. They could use some more comfortable seating and getting their doors fixed to up their guests’ comfort.

Had a wonderful meal at the Farmer's Apprentice. We had some pleasant cocktails, but really enjoyed the super fresh, farm to table feel and tastes. The King Salmon was cooked perfectly, and had some wonderful accompaniments w sauce compliments. The Lamb portions were also very tasty with excellent saucing and greens accompanying it. Even the nice sourdough breads (almost essential to sop up some of the delicious sauces) was excellent, and it came with a unique coffee butter as well! We will come back someday to enjoy the far again!

Mostly vegetarian or vegan options. There was only salmon for non-veg option. We got beetroot salad, rainbow carrot and something rice. All with a lot of distinct flavour and texture. Relatively small sized, but both of us were full to our surprise. Service was good. Atmosphere was good. Gives a cozy neighborhood restaurant vibe, unpretentious.
Tamira N — Google review
Had an amazing dining experience. When it comes to fine dining, I get extra picky but this place delivered on most part. The egg yolk & rosti sando was perfect. I had zero complaints. Crispy mushroom rice had a really good texture/flavour. Although it was a bit too strong on seasoning/salt and hid a bit of the natural flavour of mushroom. If they tone that down, it'd be perfect. Lamb chops were also one of the best I had. Cooked right with good amount of flavour and the sauces complimented the meat well. Overall, I'd be back again and personally would give 4.7/5! Thank you for an amazing night :)

My friend and I dined here recently. We ordered the sweet potato sourdough bread, the beet salad, the celeriac dish, the cauliflower dish, and the pear dessert. The food is delicious, the portion sizes are small. The pear dessert is amazing. The bathrooms are clean. The celeriac dish is OK but we preferred the cauliflower dish. We recommend ordering 3 to 4 dishes to share for two people because of the smaller portion sizes. The servers are quick and attentive, and the food is delivered quickly. Our bill was $48 plus tip each.

Came here few days ago and was genuinely surprised at how lovely not only the food was but the incredible service too. Had the BC Burger and it was absolutely delicious! Charlie our server was so sweet and gave such warm, friendly service that really made the meal even better. Portions were great, prices fair for the value, and the food was cooked perfectly. Will be back for sure. Edit- Returned after just a couple of days because Paul’s Omelettery is that special. The service was absolutely fantastic! Abby and the older gentleman working in the bar were above and beyond for good customer service. It’s like dining with family, where the regulars are known by name and the atmosphere feels timeless and comforting. I went to Paul’s Omelette Restaurant on a friend’s recommendation while dropping another buddy at the airport, and we stopped for breakfast on the way. It turned out to be an amazing experience. The pancakes were truly some of the best I’ve ever had—possibly the best. My whole breakfast was really good. The restaurant itself feels like it caters more to an older crowd, probably because it’s been around for a long time and has that old-school charm. The interior is a bit dated, but it adds to the sense of history. The staff were all very kind and welcoming, which made the visit even better.

Aikidoka S — Google review
It felt like we've stepped back in time, perhaps to a diner in a small US place, with all the brunch menu items that were popular 30 years ago. The one clue that says we are in Canada is that the portions are suitable for Canadian appetite and not left-over-gigantic. The one clue that says we may not be in healthy Vancouver is that there is no mention of plant-based Just Eggs or plant-based mayo. On a holiday Monday, we were on Granville street and a lot of food outlets were closed. We were hungry and remembered that we used to eat at Paul's Omelettery regularly on weekends. So, it was a matter of eating there, or driving elsewhere to look for vegan lunch. A quick check on Google yielded a review comment from 5 years ago from a patron who said "Would love to see some more vegan options on the menu" and Paul's response at the time was "Thanks. I've been thinking the same thing. I'll work on the vegan dishes." Well, I thought, Paul have had five years to plan out his vegan menu, surely there are vegan items on the menu by now. It turns out the Omelettery's understanding of vegan is like Google, which turns out vegetarian food (with lots of eggs) whenever I searched for vegan menu items. I did not see any Just Eggs on the menu. The Beyond Meat Burger is served on egg-brioche bun, with egg mayo. The Garden Veggie Burger contains Cheddar Cheese and egg-mayo. If there is a vegan or two among a family or group of people wanting to eat at Paul's, the people with egg sensitivities would be out of luck. Why is it that we always have to be left out simply because our bodies cannot process egg proteins? And besides, it's not just us, is it? It's everyone. Dr. Gregor of nutritionfacts.org made it very clear that a plant-base diet can reverse a lot of diseases. Same message as to all menu-planners: please have some compassion for everyone's general good health.

Cute café/brunch spot serving delicious avocado toasts. The sourdough is buttery, crunchy and very aromatic – a carb-lover’s dream :) There aren’t too many inside seating options, so be prepared for a short wait. Very delicious sourdough bread. Great flavor on the tomato jam toast. It was a little more than I wanted to spend for two coffees, and two toasts for breakfast. Oat-milk mocha was great. They discontinued the soup and bread. Had avocado on toast and poached eggs. Eggs were perfectly poached but the sourdough could be softer yet crispy; was too hard. The ambience was great and welcoming.

Nelson the Seagull is such a gem. The vibe is chill and artsy, and the sourdough is incredible. I recommend it, whether you’re into sweet toppings or something savory. Everything felt thoughtfully made, and the space has a welcoming, relaxed feel. One thing to note -not the café’s fault!- the surrounding area has a noticeable presence of homelessness. It didn’t take away from the experience for me, but it’s good to stay aware of your surroundings and keep an eye on your belongings, both in and outside the café. Overall, I’d absolutely come back. Great coffee, great bread, and a cool spot to hang.

Lovely bakery and cafe. Food was so good we came back a second time! Particularly the grilled cheese sandwich was awesome. The area in which it’s located is a bit strange though, but unfortunately there is not much that the Nelson team can do about it. Once inside, you’ll be greeted by the lovely smell of fresh bread!

Beaucoup Bakery and Cafe is a charming Parisian-style patisserie with two locations in Vancouver. The original Kitsilano storefront has a cozy atmosphere, while the second location at the St. Regis Hotel downtown offers more seating and a cute patio for people watching.
i came here to try their matcha black sesame melon pan for the cherry blossom festival, and it was absolutely incredible. it wasn’t very sweet at all, but there were really nice and subtle matcha flavour, paired with the creamy, sweet, and a tad salty sesame filling. i loved how CRUNCHY the top was, but one complaint is that the pastry itself wasn’t very soft at all — it was a bit chewy and tough, and not very fresh. they did run out very fast though, so make sure you come earlyyyy if you want to try out the popular festival items.

It’s such a gem and go to pastry/ coffee shop in the neighborhood for me and partner whenever we have friends/ family visiting, or even for a nice coffee chat/ meeting :) They frequently partner with local organizations such as the NOM magazine for ice cream or cherry blossom festivals and offer limited edition pastries. I gotta say, of all the times I have visited, their pastries have NEVER missed 😮‍💨💛 It’s a bit on the pricier side, and they still do upcharge for dairy alternatives unlike some other coffee shops, but once in a while, it makes for an amazing treat 😏 The service can be a bit inconsistent depending on the barista, but generally they’re very kind and patient :) The other thing is that the store interior is quite small, so it can get crowded and confusing throughout the ordering process. Definitely come if you’re in the area or plan to visit Granville island!

Indulge in some seriously delicious treats. • Apple Ginger Cheesecake – A gingerbread biscuit base topped with a cinnamon-spiced apple cheesecake, finished with salted caramel, sea salt flakes, and crisp apple shards. Autumn in every bite. • Mango Yuzu Cake – Layers of zesty yuzu mousse, silky mango crèmeux, and airy vanilla sponge, crowned with a passionfruit crunch. Bright, tropical, and perfectly balanced between creamy and crisp. • Cappuccino – because every dessert deserves a great coffee companion.

The atmosphere is very European. The latte was full if flavour as were the pastries. The only thing missing is Gluten free options to go with the latte

It was quite interesting—usually it’s hard to find parking here, and the place is often full. But one day, after dropping a friend off at a nearby lab, I turned the corner and found a parking spot right in front of their door. What are the chances? Of course, I took the opportunity to park and enjoy a lovely afternoon tea!

Cinnamon scrolls are my fav. However, the chocolate donut is very dry and the filling tasted weird. I would avoid it. I also agree with the other reviews, the service here is unpleasant. There’s a passive aggressive energy from the staff and it should be addressed especially since so many customers have already pointed it out unless you simply don’t care. In that case people will happily spend their money elsewhere.

Greenhorn Cafe is a charming brunch spot nestled in Vancouver's West End. The cafe offers a relaxed setting with the option to dine al fresco on the sidewalk. It's known for its friendly staff, locally sourced ingredients, and delectable dishes. The menu features gourmet breakfast and lunch options, including favorites like eggs benedict and waffles. Guests can also enjoy specialty drinks such as Vietnamese coffee.
This is a charming brunch spot nestled in a lovely neighborhood. The ambiance is like a cozy cafe bistro, with a delightful array of food choices. We indulged in Eggs Purgatory (a delightful twist on shakshuka), some fluffy waffles, and creamy avocado toast! From the moment we settled in to savoring each bite, everything was simply amazing. And the experience of watching the food being prepared right across the kitchen was truly captivating. Oh, and they have an incredible selection of coffee and drinks, including refreshing kombucha and freshly squeezed orange juice. I highly recommend this place for Sunday brunch!

My husband and I are visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this cafe while driving through the neighborhood. We decided to stop in for lunch and enjoyed our first visit. The cafe itself is super cute and welcoming. Right when you walk in, the cafe smells amazing with the scent of freshly baked goods and bacon. Everyone working was super friendly throughout our visit, including the chef. There was a decent amount of indoor seating and a few tables outside. They have a good variety to choose from on their menu, including vegetarian options. We tried the BLAT sandwich (vegan style) and the Avocado Toast and both were very good. We will definitely be back on future visits to Vancouver! I’d highly recommend giving them a try!

Rating: 6/10. A charming neighbourhood cafe/brunch place in West End area. This place does not have a reservation system so be prepared to wait for 30-60 minutes if you are coming during weekend or busy times. We got 3 dishes to share: Mushroom Benedict ($18), Bacon Benedict ($19), and Lox Bagel ($18). Overall, they tasted good but I found the carbs/base to be underwhelming. Bagel was rock hard, to the point where we just took the fillings out and ate them separately. The biscuit(?) was alright but tasted like english muffin to me. The hollandaise sauce was one of the better one I tasted though. Beverage wise, my flat white tasted excellent, though my friends said that the drip and Vietnamese coffee were so-so. Ambiance was pretty cozy with eclectic decorations spread throughout. However, and this could be because we were seated at the back, service did seem absent as they seemed to forget about us (we had to chase them down to get the bill). A few of my friends recommended this place but after this visit I can’t say that this is one I would return to.

This place is a gem. We came through for breakfast while in Vancouver and left stuffed and impressed. We got the croque madame, ham benedict and a waffle. The ham was delicious and blew me away. The waffle was smaller which was great as we shared it just to end the meal with a little sweetness. The coffee was also a standout. We arrived before the line was too long, maybe around 9-9:30 on a Saturday and maybe waited 10 minutes. Perhaps we were lucky. They also still had outdoor seating. A lot of folks came through foe takeout. Charming and popular place, would definitely come back for more.

We went there around 11:30 am, and it was quite busy! We waited about 15 minutes and got a spot on the patio. It’s dog-friendly, which is a plus! I really liked the avocado salmon bagel. The only downside is that the parking nearby isn’t very ideal. We spent more than 10 mins to find a spot…..

Our favorite breakfast place when we don’t feel like making breakfast at home. They have some great vegetarian options. Their benny is spot on but my favorite is their egg purgatory. Expect a long line before getting seated especially on weekends.

We had delicious a delicious brunch at Greenhorn Café. The Avocado Toast was really refreshing and the Eggs Benedict were also very nice. The coffee tasted very good and what an amazing Latte Art, that was an absolute Highlight!! Also our waiter was so funny and friendly. We had an amazing experience and I can only recommend this restaurant!

The bacon benny was very nice; thick tasty bacon complemented by perfectly soft eggs. Service was rather slow, though. This cafe does get busy even on weekdays, but I waited too much.

Nestled in the charming village of Dundarave, The Bakehouse is a delightful gem that captures the essence of homemade Canadian cuisine. This cozy bakery offers an array of freshly baked goods, from artisanal breads to mouthwatering pies, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere reminiscent of Grandma's kitchen. Guests can indulge in hearty breakfast options like eggs and toast or savor delicious sandwiches paired with friendly smiles from the staff.
Delicious and cozy. Every time we come here we’re greeted by the lovely staff and have a delicious cozy meal. The eggs Benedict id delicious and every time I visit I can’t resist a pecan turtle bar and their herb sourdough is unmatched!! Though I wished they offered slicing for take-home loaves.

10/10 outstanding. Delicious home made breakfast. Friendly service , even from the cook who gave me my food. Enjoyable atmosphere , I loved all the signs , had a good laugh while waiting for my food. Small family run business , a homey little place , this is what I love. Hope it’s here for years to come. Also I absolutely loved the home made iced tea , I wanted to get another one.

I recently had breakfast at The Bake House in West Vancouver, and I was eager to try it based on its high review ratings. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite meet our expectations. We ordered a scrambled egg with turkey sausage, an eggs benedict, a muffin, and two lattes. While the cafe was bustling with customers, mostly older patrons, we found that the food didn’t quite hit the mark for us. The flavors were rather bland, and we struggled to finish our meals. The coffee also fell short of our hopes, lacking the rich taste we were looking for, and the muffin was just average. While we appreciate the popularity of this local spot, we left feeling disappointed. However, we recognize that taste can be subjective, and others might enjoy it more. We’re glad we gave it a try and hope our feedback can contribute to future improvements.

This is breakfast at Grandma's. Nothing more. Nothing less. Cozy Dundarave, West Vancouver covered in freshly fallen golden Maple leaves, as the trees sway the wind and you, toward the rustic door of The Bakehouse. Everything from in-house made eggs and toast, sandwiches, coffee and muffins paralleled with the staff's warm, welcoming and happy-to-see you smiles. Frankly, I haven't had that experience since...well...the last time I was at my Grandma's....which was...well...let's leave it there. "The Works" breakfast was two eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes and rosemary-sourdough toast. Everything on my plate tasted and smelled like it was made for a special guest visiting....like you would at home for a visitor. The flavour and simplicity was not only tasty, but so refreshingly surprising and in contrast to an increasingly commercialized, franchised and everything-bulk world we live in. The "Apple Spice" muffin was oozing pumpkin spice, apples and cinnamon straight out of their own oven freshly baked, and what could top that on a beautiful Autumn morning? The service? How can you not go back to an energy resembling Grandma plating you freshly baked cookies with a smile only she can serve up.

Nestled amongst a strip of shops and restaurants in Dundarave Village, The Bakehouse in Dundarave serves up some fantastic eats and fresh baked goods as well. Featured here: Shrimp Melt Grilled Cheese on Rainbow Bread Adult Grilled Cheese Shrimp Melt: They sure do have some interesting breads at this shop. On the menu, the Shrimp Melt sandwich is said to be served on Curry bread, and indeed the bread did have a bright yellow colour to it, reminiscent of a yellow curry sauce. Grandma really enjoyed this sandwich Grilled Cheese on Rainbow Bread: This was exactly what it sounds like it is. It was a grilled cheese sandwich in which the bread was rainbow coloured! Quite a sight to behold, and yes...it still tasted good! Adult Grilled Cheese: This sandwich didn't come on any kind of colourful bread like the other two sandwiches. Some kind of Herb sourdough bread was used for this. While Rainbow Bread didn't take away from the sandwich's tastiness, I much preferred this Adult version of Grilled Cheese. The Herb sourdough was more flavorful than the Rainbow Bread and this sandwich also had more ingredients other than cheese in it. Overall a very enjoyable meal, and we hope it won't be long before we're back at the Bakehouse again! Service: Good Parking: Free parking on the street Location: 2453 Marine Dr., West Vancouver, BC

We made a quick stop for a small breakfast at the Bakehouse. The place is roomy with a nice open kitchen and a good menu, however the food was very average, and there was no uplifting spirit that you expect in a cafe. The place was boring with no charm. I love stopping at a cafe not only to get a drink, but to start my day with a splash of joy. With 5 people that we noticed working around the shop, the tables were not cleaned and until we asked them no one came by to wipe our table. I would have probably enjoyed picking up a small bite and coffee from any Starbucks in the area a lot more. I hope the owner takes my review in a constructive way and revisit their service and menu. This is a nice location and not much of competition around, and they can make it thrive for themselves and people visiting this place.

Nemesis Coffee Gastown is a trendy and bright coffeehouse known for its artisanal pastries, all-day brunch, and a variety of beverages including coffee, tea, and kombucha. Despite having an aggressive to-do list, Nemesis stands out for its commitment to creating exceptional pastries and serving top-notch coffee and food in-house. The flagship location in Vancouver's emerging False Creek Flats offers a unique experience with its stunning architecture designed by Perkins & Will architects.
This is one of the best spots I’ve found in Canada. So good I came back twice! I had the bodega with bacon and then again with avocado, both incredible! I also had the blueberry cheesecake danish and the banana danish, both such great combinations. The coffee is top notch! I love that you order at the counter then sit, it’s adds to the casual, comfortable experience. If I weren’t heading home to Australia tomorrow I would be back again!

I had the opportunity to stop in twice. My first experience was warm and welcoming. I had my usual cappucino that I very much enjoyed. I was also offered water with my espresso and a barista asked if I wanted a refill. It was a nice gesture. My second experience was pleasant overall but they were much busier. Upon attempting to sit I was told that there was a wait time to be seated. Perhaps that should be posted somewhere. I had a decaf espresso and a mortadella sandwich. I enjoyed them both. I wasnt attended to like I was my first go-around. Overall a positive experience and I personally love their logo. Its an upside down spade of sorts.

We came several times and were impressed with the pastries and service each time. There was always a line when we came, and all the workers are super friendly. All of the pastries are fresh, and the banana pastry was amazing (although quite pricy). Some of our other favourites were the Queen and almond croissants. Their brunch is also great, especially the mortadella sandwich. Drinks are also great too. Would highly recommend.
Forest B — Google review
Nemesis is one of those places that everyone in Vancouver seems to talk about — and while the food is definitely above average, it doesn’t quite live up to all the hype that the socials are giving it. The presentation is beautiful, the ingredients are clearly high quality, and the space itself has that trendy, minimalist vibe people love. That said, it feels a bit more like a place to be seen than to truly relax and enjoy a memorable meal. The dishes are tasty, but not mind-blowing, and the prices reflect the hype more than the experience. Worth visiting once, but not quite the life-changing brunch spot social media makes it out to be.

Fantastic atmosphere. Incredible food. Undefeatable service. One of my favourite coffee/lunch destinations in Vancouver. My most recent visit had me asking about the status of my coffee after finishing my sandwich. Within minutes, the staff came back and openly let me know my order was missed, apologized, and offered a to-go cup option. I declined the to-go order and said it’s not a problem at all and appreciate the transparency. They could have easily blamed a delay or said “3 more minutes” and had this go unnoticed — I know this from past experience working in the service industry. I found the transparency refreshing and exceptional customer service. My pour over came within 3 minutes along with another apology and the staff letting me know the cost of the coffee was removed from my bill. Turned just another Sunday coffee into a memorable service experience that I had to share. Thank you Nemesis team :) Peter

I went to Nemesis on a Sunday morning, and the place was full of people and had a lively vibe. I ordered the Black Sesame Corn Latte, and it was surprisingly really good! I wasn’t sure how corn and coffee would taste together, but I liked it a lot. Overall, it was a nice experience. I’m giving 4 stars only because I had to wait around 10 minutes for my latte

Great place if you want to catch a quick breakfast or grab a sandwich/pastry to go. Food is tasty - you can tell it’s freshly made. We really liked the avocado toast, mortadella supreme and the Espresso pain suisse. I think they do food better than coffee (not their forte imo) Overall, it’s a very solid breakfast spot.

This place is pricey as hell but damn the food is so good. This is by far the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in Canada. I kept telling my self that I was going to try something new every morning in Vancouver but Nemesis it was. If it’s not broken why fix it. Until next time!

The Basic is a diner-like restaurant that serves good value for its all-day breakfast options, which include classics like tuna melts and pancakes. The no-fuss diner ambiance is a few reasons why it's so popular.
I love The Basic! Especially the Davie Street location. The people that work there are the friendliest around. The food is always fresh , hot comes out fast and cooked just the way i love it. Indoor and outdoor seating. Comfortable and plenty. Well done all who work there!! 🙌

Absolutely recommend this place! The staff is super professional, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy—even if you’re dining alone, it still feels welcoming. I especially love their breakfast. My go-to is the classic eggs with bacon and potatoes—simple, but so good. The eggs are always cooked just right, no matter how you order them. Consistent quality every time!

The food was true to the name—simple and straightforward. It was a bit too oily for my taste, but definitely filling. If you're really hungry or enjoy heavily fried food, this might be the place for you. We tried a few of the recommended dishes. The staff were pleasant and respectful throughout.

First, I love the atmosphere of Davie street and the vibe of the restaurant and the staff were there to match! I don't usually eat breakfast because I am not a hugr fan of most places menu but this was just the right balance. On top of that, the portions of our meals were very good and the food was top notch. Mon Pitou Bistro & Bakery is a cozy spot in South Granville, Vancouver, offering a delightful Parisian cafe experience. During the week, it's a go-to place for baked goods and grab-and-go sandwiches made with bread from Beyond Bread. On weekends, the menu features an array of French-inspired brunch items like eggs royale, croque madam, crepes aux poulet et duxelles, frisee lardon, and French toast.
Mon Pitou: A Cozy Corner with a Spectacular Surprise From the moment you step inside Mon Pitou, you're wrapped in an atmosphere that is both bustling and inviting. The space feels like a perfectly curated secret, with warm, golden light spilling over the amazing food and home like feeling. The air hums with the low murmur of conversation and the clatter of silverware, all contributing to a cozy, lively energy that makes you want to linger and eat more. It’s the kind of place that feels like a comfortable escape, ideal for a relaxed coffee or a satisfying lunch with a friend. While the entire menu looked tempting, I was drawn to the clubhouse sandwich, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. This is a testament to the fact that simple classics, when executed with care, can be truly memorable. The bread was perfectly toasted, providing a satisfying crunch without being too hard. Inside, the layers were generous and fresh, Each bite a harmonious combination of textures and flavors, proving that sometimes, the best dishes are the ones that don't need to be overly complicated. Paired with a side of their fresh greens, it was a perfectly balanced and deeply satisfying meal. To top it off with a nice cup of tea and a salted chocolate chip cookie that was out of this world! Mon Pitou excels at creating a dining experience that is both comforting and elevated. It's a place where the atmosphere complements the delicious food, making every visit a true treat. Whether you are dining in or getting it to go , you will love your experience at Mon Pitou! I highly recommend you get some of those amazing cookies for the road!

This is my second time here and both times the drinks were good and the waffles were really great. My partners dish was pretty dry, and the croissant in the display looked pretty different than the one used in the Benedict as well as the eggs were overcooked. The decor is cute and the servers are nice. The atmosphere is very cozy. I would still be back.

Mon Pitou is a gem in the city! We love stopping by for a cookie (I dream about the classic chocolate chip) and coffee. Recently we had their sandwiches catered for a birthday party and our guests would not stop raving about them! The coronation chickpea was a hit and such a great vegetarian option. Would definitely recommend dining in and considering them for a party!

Mon Pitou is hands-down my favorite spot in the city. There’s honestly nothing else in Vancouver that even comes close. The space itself is gorgeous, the decor and ambiance make it feel so cozy and special, like a little escape in the middle of the city. The staff are always so warm and welcoming, which makes every visit feel like a treat. The food is delicious (their soups and salads are my go-to on a rainy Vancouver day), and I love that they also have a beautifully curated section of pantry essentials, they make the perfect little gifts. It’s also my happy place for a cup of tea and a cozy hang with friends. Every time I leave, I’m already looking forward to coming back. See you soon Mon Pitou!

Our favourite neighborhood bulldog café! What first drew us in was a shared love of bulldogs, but it's the consistently delicious food, warm atmosphere, and welcoming staff that keep us coming back. Mon Pitou is truly one of those gems you just can’t get enough of! The staff are always so warm, welcoming, and efficient, it feels like you’re being looked after by friends every time you visit. Their “To Go” meals are absolute lifesavers, whether it’s for a quick lunch or an effortless but delicious dinner at home. I’m also obsessed with their matcha lattes (made perfectly every time!) and the turkey + brie sandwich, do yourself a favour and get one, you won’t regret it. They’ve even gone above and beyond by preparing a special meal for my daughter’s school lunch, which she now requests on repeat. I can’t say enough good things about Mon Pitou. The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, known as the Castle in the City, exudes grandeur and sophistication. With a rich history dating back to its ceremonial opening in 1939 by King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, this polished hotel underwent a $75 million renovation. The addition of Fairmont Gold offers an exclusive experience with personalized check-in on designated floors and access to a private lounge for breakfast.
Stayed here for five nights last week with my brother, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back. The location was great; very walkable and close to a bunch of nice restaurants, bars and shops. Rooms were clean and the staff were friendly! During my stay, a box of my contact lenses were accidentally discarded during a room cleaning. I was repeatedly told by staff that this was not a normal occurrence, as staff are trained not to discard personal items. While most of the staff members I spoke to were respectful and helpful, one implied it was my fault for misplacing my contacts, which was a little disappointing. Besides that, I am grateful for the staff at the concierge desk, who worked tirelessly over two days to resolve this issue. I sincerely appreciate Sabine, Erik and Debbie who all ensured I got a replacement so I can *actually see* before we left for our weekend trip to Tofino the next day! :) Mistakes can happen, but what really stood out to me was how genuinely caring and proactive the team was. Huge thanks to them!!! Overall I'd recommend this hotel for your stay in Vancouver! Erik and Debbie were really fun to chat with and provided many great recommendations for things to do around the city :)

My husband and I stayed at the hotel in July for our 35th anniversary on the 14th floor/ Fairmont Gold room. Spacious and clean room and had a lovely view of the fireworks. Isabella at the service desk on the lounge level was the most friendly and kind employee, there was a problem with our room's temperature control that the maintenance department was unable to fix for our stay so she had a portable air conditioner installed in the room immediately when we were out for dinner, much appreciated. Saw her several times throughout our stay and Isabella was constantly checking to see if she could do anything for us and to make sure our stay was pleasant. Breakfast, snacks and evening appetizers all good, lots of options. Very happy to have spent our anniversary in such a beautiful hotel.

From the moment you pull your vehicle up to the front you instantly feel special. Unreal service! It felt like everyone actually loved their jobs and wanted to be there. Front desk, valet, cleaners, and room service staff were all so friendly and helpful. Rooms were a great size and our son loved the pool and didn't want to leave. Would definitely love to stay there again!

I had the privilege of entertaining guests at the hotel and it was fantastic. Their rooms were beautifully appointed and our highlights were the Haunted Afternoon Tea and tour of the hotel with David. His knowledge, and love, of the hotel made the tour that much more spectacular. So many fascinating historical details about the architecture, its guests, and place in the history of Vancouver all added to the charm and allure of the hotel. As an All Accor member I can confidently say that David’s professional, kind manner is exemplary of what one expects. Other notable staff were Eric in Concierge and Estella in Notch 8, who both went out of their way to make my guests stay more than memorable.

I’ve stayed in some of the best hotels around the world, but the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s Gold Level experience truly stands out. From the moment you step onto the private floor, the service is not just exceptional — it’s personal, genuine, and consistently attentive in a way only a handful of properties ever achieve. The Gold Level team treats you as if you are their only guest. Every interaction is warm yet professional, and they anticipate what you need long before you think to ask. The private lounge is immaculate, refined, and always stocked with beautifully prepared food and refreshments. Breakfast, evening canapés, and the all-day service are all top tier. The rooms are elegant, quiet, and extremely comfortable — exactly what you expect from a landmark hotel, but elevated by the dedicated Gold concierge staff who ensure every detail is seamless. Whether it’s dining recommendations, last-minute arrangements, or something as simple as a perfect coffee, they take care of it with ease and a smile. In a city full of excellent hotels, the Hotel Vancouver Gold Level is in a league of its own. I won’t stay anywhere else when I’m in Vancouver. Highly recommended. — Charlie Flynn

Overall the stay was fine but probably would not go back. For the cost there is nothing that makes the Fairmont stand out when it comes to the rooms. Our room was incredibly hot and we could not adjust the thermostat. Since we had to open the window to get some cool air we were awakend by extremely loud church bells at 7:56AM. The toilets are extremely deep, kind of feels like you're going in a bucket which is not pleasant. There is zero water pressure so took forever to wash my hair. The pool was not heated enough to actually get in, which was really unfortunate, as we were looking forward to a nice warm swim after a day of hiking in the cold. A beautiful hotel in the common areas and all the staff are very pleasant. Walkable to multiple neighborhoods and restaurants. Also, the cost of parking is extra and not cheap so account for that in your stay.

We spent three nights as a family visiting Vancouver, and I'd like to give a shoutout to the housekeeping staff! They were ever so kind and helpful, and made sure we stay hydrated by delivering water bottles in the evening. We also needed a mini fridge and they delivered one to us, free of charge. While the room was smaller (as expected from older hotels), the beds were still cozy and the atmosphere was still warm. The location was top notch and very easy to navigate. Thank you again for the lovely stay!

We arrived to the hotel to find our early check in requested a week earlier could not be accommodated, so we left our luggage and came back when texted our room was ready. We immediately noticed a gap in the window, so we called the front desk who sent somebody to close it for us. The window was deemed unsafe and uncloseable so the person who came suggested we call back the front desk and ask for a different room - before this he actually called someone on our behalf, but whoever was on the other end of the phone stated ‘well that’s not my problem ‘in which he gave up and asked us to call the front desk ourselves. Throughout this time I did notice that the bathtub finish was worn off and there appeared to be many stains on the carpet and dirty marks throughout but I did not think more of it. Our request for a new room was happily met, and the person who came to assist us was very lovely and told us that they had another room, but warned us it may be an issue due to smell as it had just been cleaned and the cleaning products were very strong. We elected to try it because we were quite tired and really wanted to unpack our suitcases and get to our next event. We moved to the next room and found the smell immediately overwhelming. We had the door propped open plus the window and the smell did not dissipate to the point where we could taste it. We called back the front desk and the gentleman who helped us The first time came again and also noted the smell and found us a third room. By this time We were late for our event, but we’re thankful that this was over and could move on. We changed and went to our event tardy. The next day we got a text, asking us to rate our stay from one till 10 in which I rated it very low. A manager reached out to us to ask about the concerns then I explained what it happened, and although we were given breakfast vouchers by the first man, it was still a very disappointing experience. She agreed that it was worthy of more than breakfast vouchers and elected to give us a refund for one of our three nights for our troubles and asked if there was anything else she could help our visit be more pleasant at that time. I asked if it was possible to find a room that had a bed with a sofa bed so we could have some separation. She said she would check into it and the next day we received a text saying there was nothing available. I texted back immediately and thanked them for checking and asked if there was anything available for our third and final night instead. The reply stated that a manager would get back to us the next morning. That was the last I heard from anybody, I never receive did any follow up. In the meantime the general and cleanliness of the room was more and more shocking as we discovered it as we are from Edmonton and have never seen grime and dirt like this in the Fairmont in our hometown. The ottoman in our room was so stained. We actually put a towel down on it before our suitcase. The carpets were very old and not maintained with trip hazards throughout and stains, and the bathroom had dirty walls and corners and grout lines discoloured although I appreciated the attitude of the staff who helped us until we were ghosted, and we very much liked the location of the hotel. It was shocking to me the outcome of our booking this vacation.

An excellent hotel. A beautiful room overlooking the harbour. Outstanding and kindly service from every person we had contact with. Lovely food ( and drinks!) . A perfect location for sightseeing. The last call on our three week road trip in the west and a good place to end. Can't say any more really.

This is an awesome hotel and staff! Everyone is friendly and polite. From the front desk checking in, made them aware of our needs. They tried their best to accommodate us. The rooms are large and clean and so are the bathrooms and towels. We used valet parking and that worked out well for us. They provided us with a microwave on request, with a small fee.We will definitely come back to this hotel!

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend getaway in Vancouver, and our experience was truly outstanding. The concierge gold team at 9th floor was incredibly kind and attentive from the moment we arrived. They surprised us with an unexpected room upgrade, and to make our anniversary even more special, they left a sweet note, a bottle of Prosecco, and chocolate-covered strawberries in our room. The room was absolutely spotless, and both the breakfast and the evening canapés were delicious and very complete. Their thoughtful service made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!

I had an incredible stay at the Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver. The ninth floor Gold ✨ Level made the whole visit feel special. The lounge was clean, relaxing, and the food stood out. Breakfast was incredible. I loved the mix of sweet, savory, and fresh items. The brulee'd grapefruit was my favorite! The crisp sugar on top of a fresh half grapefruit tasted bold and unique. The only drawback was the Nespresso machine being out of order. The spiced old fashioned and the canapes at five in the evening were on point 👌 The bar at ARC had a wide range of drinks with some fun twists. The lobby looked beautiful and already had its Christmas decor up. The room was spotless, the staff was helpful, and the location made it easy to reach the waterfront. I left relaxed and grateful for the experience.

Had a fabulous stay at the Fairmont Gold floor. The Gold staff is incredibly helpful, kind, and service oriented. They went above and beyond to accommodate my needs (Margerite in particular was incredibly kind and attentive - thank you!). Food is absolutely delicious! I especially enjoyed the breakfast offerings. The room was beautiful, well renovated, lovely bathroom. Bed and bedding was luxurious. My only complaint is the rooms are not well sound insulated - I could hear my neighbours talking long into the night.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I used my Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts credit and the hotel processed it and the related benefits correctly. My food and drinks in the lobby lounge were fabulous. The room was modern, spacious and scenic. If you are a light sleeper the noise from the hallway may be bothersome. I would consider staying here again.

Well appointed and great service. Part of AMEX luxury hotels program so you get a lot of great perks. Reasonably priced when I was there. Location directly across from the convention center is a little less than ideal but still very nice. Easy access to waterfront pathways and Stanley park.

Room was great, location is fantastic. We're locals and choose Waterfront over the other properties. We had a bad experience at breakfast unfortunately with poor service and conflicting information. Definitely opt for the bottomless brunch over the included breakfast buffet! If you're a local get the credit offer, not the breakfast included!

The cute, trendy brunch restaurant Hunnybee Bruncheonette is perfect for people who love to window-shop in Vancouver's Chinatown neighbourhood. The cafe has floor-to-ceiling windows and sidewalk seating, so you can enjoy the bright, sunny morning while you eat your breakfast.
My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant today and were not disappointed! We got the breakfast sandwich with avocado and ham. It was fantastic! The bread was perfectly toasted & I loved that they used sourdough. The toppings were very fresh & the egg was also cooked perfectly, which was a treat. Definitely one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city. 5 stars!

Such a neighbourhood gem and the food is always on point! Laid back vibes and a nice sidewalk patio. You order at the counter and take a number to your table. Expect a wait on the weekend. This is the perfect place to catch up with a friend or have a low-key bite on a lazy day. Have been back a handful of times and it's a go-to for me. One star docked because their circulation/fan situation inside could be improved.

Super tasty. I loved that place. Breakfast sandwich is super delicious. For pancake it was too much sweet also they said we should wait more than 30 minutes. They should expect thay crowd and prepare for that but it was worth to wait. I just didn't like the coffee too much. It was strong for me. But overall I loved the taste and atmosphere. I will come back to try more items.

🌼✨ Hunnybee Bruncheonette: A Little Hive of Brunch Joy ✨🌼 My partner and I had the sweetest morning here, and we’re still glowing from the experience. She ordered the Hash Benedict, and I had the Shakshuka—both were incredible, with flavours that felt bright, comforting, and intentional in every bite. We also shared a hibiscus lemonade 🍋 that was the perfect tart-sweet sip, grounding us into the slow, happy hum of the morning. The atmosphere is so chill, warm, and unpretentious—sunlight streaming in, cozy but lively, with a gentle buzz of people genuinely enjoying their brunch moments. What made it even better? The people working here are genuinely kind, friendly, and attentive without ever being overbearing, adding to that feeling of being welcome exactly as you are. Hunnybee Bruncheonette feels like the kind of place you want to bring a journal to, or a friend you haven’t seen in a while, or simply yourself, just to soak in a morning that feels slower and more delicious than most. 💛 Highly recommend if you want your brunch to feel like a quiet celebration of the day. We will definitely be back, this is the truth! 🐝 With all of my Mettā for you all, Noah

I usually grab breakfast and coffee at another organic café nearby, but I’ve always been curious about this place — every time I pass by, it’s packed with people! Today, I finally decided to check it out around 12:00 noon. The breakfast rush had died down a little. The café itself has an old-school, slightly worn interior — basic furniture and vintage flooring and walls — but that somehow adds to its charm. There are also two rows of outdoor seating, and in the summer, sitting outside is absolutely lovely. I ordered the sourdough toast with egg, avocado, and pickled onions, along with a cortado. I took a good look at the menu, and honestly, the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality. The staff handed me a number and brought the food and coffee shortly after. The egg was perfectly cooked, and the tangy pickled red onions paired beautifully with the soft, chewy sourdough toast — it really whets your appetite. What stood out to me the most was the attentive service. The staff were constantly clearing tables and keeping things clean, which is impressive considering how busy the place is. Many popular cafés overlook that. I’ll definitely recommend this place to my friends. If you want the full breakfast selection, I suggest coming a bit earlier — probably before 11:00 AM.

We were visiting Vegan Supply near lunch time and decided we would visit Hunnybee for lunch. They make their own bread and the bread is cut really nice and thick for most brunch items. I almost ordered the Hash Benedict, except I didn't fancy paying full price for two eggs which will not be on my plate. We both ended up ordering Egg & Avocado Toast except mine was without an egg. It was fine. I usually don't eat vinegar but the pickled onion was not too strong. The vegan gingerbread cookie was good. The sweet ricotta pancakes looked amazing—and—I'm tempted to ask them to make an egg-free option next time, replacing the egg with carbonated water.

I went here for brunch and ordered the Hash Benedict with Avo. It was so tasty. The pickled onion really balance the flavour of the creamy benny. They also put some sauteed veggies to make it more sweet and give crunchy bites. Their latte is also perfect to pair with the breakfast. The atmosphere is cozy and homey. Service was also great. Very recommended!

Food was great. I got the hash Benedict with avocado (I only eat halal) and the food was amazing. I have absolutely no complaints when it comes to the food. The coffee wasnt amazing but it’s okay the food definitely made up for it. Noah's Cafe is a charming Japanese fusion cafe located in downtown Vancouver. It has gained popularity for its creative Japanese dishes, such as fried chicken, beef tongue, and seafood pasta. The brunch menu is a highlight, offering a blend of Japanese and Western cooking styles with items like tonkatsu loco moco and omelette rice lunch. A must-try is the Noah's Ark platter featuring various small bites like quail scotch egg and chicken karaage.
We just came back from this restaurant. Everything was amazing. The food was delicious, and we ordered beef tartar, lamb, and dim sum. All these dishes tasted delicious. We did not book a table, so we sat in a bar, and the barman was intelligent and very polite. I was tired after a tennis game and did not want to stay in a loud place. This place is good if you would like to talk and feel a calm atmosphere. Today found one of the best restaurants in Vancouver. Thank you all staff!

Very unique exquisite Japanese restaurant in Vancouver downtown core, food very delicate and delicious. Love the smoky cocktails (we ordered Japanese Greyhoud and Earl Grey Gimlet), Uni&Truffle omelette rice, negitoro&Foccacia, and cheese tofu. The NFC (Noah’s fried chicken is so crispy outside and tender inside, taste so good!

Cool little spot with great food and warm service. Their cocktails and mocktails are innovative and taste great. I had a chance to visit tonight for the first time and loved it! I should add, I made a reservation for 2 weeks ago and realized the day of my reservation that it happened to be on a night that the fireworks were happening in the west end. That meant that getting to the restaurant was going to be extremely difficult. I emailed Noah’s to see if they would be open to moving my reservation (even though there was supposed to be a cancellation fee) and Aika kindly obliged. I very much appreciate her understanding and hospitality. I highly recommend Noah’s Cafe for a great meal and warm vibes.

A Vancouver hidden gem. Have been coming here for years and food has always amazed (see photos). They’ve made lots of changes lately to bring more people in (more accessible menu in terms of $, daily specials, great rewards program) and I really hope they’re doing well. They are such a sweet team and deserve nothing but the best. The menu has expanded lately and is superb, everything is excellent. Great cocktail menu as well. You may have to be a little patient for a seating as given the size of the space it can be difficult at times, but it is so so worth it. Please support them so we don’t lose part of Vancouver’s great dining scene. 🙂 The negitoro and focaccia may be one of my fav seafood dishes I’ve had in the city. The NFC is wonderful, omelette hayashi rice is an absolute staple as well as the uni crème pasta. But you can’t go wrong with anything.

We were visiting from Texas and this was truly the best meal of our lives. Every single dish carried its own exceptional flavor, and we sampled about 80% of the menu—each one blew us away. From start to finish, it was hands down the most special dining experience we’ve ever had. The creativity and execution here outshone even some Michelin-starred experiences I’ve had. The atmosphere, the diversity of the dishes, and the incredible flavors came together perfectly. An unforgettable 5-star experience! I’ll have to fly back to Vancouver just to eat here again.

Cute little tapas bar. The food was very comforting. It's perfect for this weather. It was busy but we got our food fairly quickly. I will definitely be coming back!
Karen B — Google review
We visited this restaurant recently, and honestly, it was a disappointing experience. The space inside was very small and crowded, and we were seated at a tiny spot by the wall. One of the dishes — the sprouts — was extremely bitter, almost inedible, but when we mentioned it, the server’s attitude was quite cold. There was no apology or explanation, just a simple “I know.” It made us feel uncomfortable, and we couldn’t tell if there was some bias behind the attitude. Even if not, this kind of service leaves a really poor impression. It’s a pity, because the restaurant seems to be doing well now, and I truly hope they can show a better attitude toward their customers in the future.

This bakery, Savary Island Pie Company, produces sweet and savory pies as well as bread. They have a variety of flavors that are sure to please bread lovers and pie lovers alike. Their bread is perfect for toast or sandwiches, making it a great choice for any meal.
Best pie I’ve ever had. I’d been holding off coming here for years because I’m in East Van, but when the Pie Shoppe closed I was on the hunt for a decent pie. I’m sad I’ve been missing out all these years. Savary Island pies have an all-butter crust I can’t figure out. It’s so flaky! I seriously don’t understand the poor reviews. Yea, it’s $13 for a slice of pie with ice cream. A slice of pie I could never dream of making, and I’ve been trying my whole adult life. For me, it was worth the trip. It’ll be a part of my post-hike, post-ski ritual from here on out.

One of our favorite breakfast spots in West Vancouver, BC, is Savard Island Pie Company. This charming bakery consistently impresses with its freshly baked products, as everything is prepared and baked on-site, ensuring top quality and flavor. Our go-to choice is their Raspberry and Apple Pie, which is always perfectly balanced in sweetness and texture. Alongside the pie, we enjoyed chive and cheese scones, a cranberry and pecan muffin, and a freshly brewed house coffee. Every bite was delightful, and the coffee paired beautifully with the baked goods. The location adds to the experience—West Vancouver’s breathtaking coastal scenery makes for the perfect backdrop to a relaxing morning meal. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Savard Island Pie Company is a must-stop for a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended!

As a hobby baker and have bakes a few pies in my life, this place was one of the better places that I have tried. We had the whole apple pie and whole pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving dessert this year. The apple pie had a large amount of pie filling. It was filled with a great dome under the extremely flakes crust. I thought it was very cute looking. 🥧 The pumpkin was very good as well. There was a generous amount of spice put in the pies and great pumpkin taste as well. Although I thought their pies were a little pricey at $43.50 for a pie, it was well worth it for what you get. Would want to go back to try their savory pies.

Very cozy cafe to try baked goods and support local businesses. The Apple pie was so well balanced with sweetness and texture. The staff were nice and respectful. The only downside is I found the menu pricier than similar locations.

We went to this café to order pie and coffee because we had heard good things about it, but the experience was truly awful. Instead of enjoying a relaxing morning, they ruined our holiday. Unfortunately, local businesses in Vancouver often suffer from poor customer service, and this café was no exception. The staff behind the counter were rude and inattentive, with no signs of proper management oversight. The girl at the register spoke rudely, with an unclear accent and rushed tone, making it impossible for us to order breakfast. In the end, we only managed to get a black coffee and a muffin. We paid for a 16-ounce coffee, but they gave us a 12-ounce one. When we complained, instead of fixing the issue properly, they just poured the same coffee into a bigger cup. On top of that, the way they handed the cups to us was careless and disrespectful. The prices were high, the service was terrible, and the whole experience felt like a complete waste of time and money. I am extremely disappointed with the poor management of this café and will never set foot there again. Avoid this place if you value your time and money!

Stopped in to grab a couple of slices as a treat for my elderly father. I was quite surprised at the sight of them. The Berry slice wasn't as bad as the strawberry slice. It looked very old and probably should have been thrown out. Especially for the price. I don't mind paying for a good piece of pie, but this was not good. My Father took one bite and didn't want any more. It's unfortunate, but I won't do that again.

Faubourg Vancouver is a delightful French bakery with multiple locations in the city, offering classic cakes and pastries like lemon tarts, cheesecakes, and creme brulees. The cafe provides a charming atmosphere for visitors to enjoy a cup of good coffee paired with delicious pastries on the terrace.
Came here for the hot chocolate festival, overall the experience was fun. The display was cute and impressive the taste was average nothing special. They could not make the hot chocolate festival hot chocolate with a dairy free/vegan milk which was disappointing. The location is near the art gallery, very central, lots of lunch/business traffic. Lots of seating available, we did not have an issue finding a table. Washrooms also available. Service was slow but that seems to be because the hot chocolate festival orders were more complicated. Patio available in the summer months and looks very nice but the weather was not good when we went. Overall nice coffee shop with a good atmosphere, I do believe there other locations are nicer though.

Faubourg Café on Hornby Street is a pleasant spot with a relaxed vibe. The pastry was fresh and tasty, and the latte was well made; smooth and enjoyable without being anything out of the ordinary. The space itself is comfortable, though not particularly unique, and the overall presentation of the café is simple and straightforward. What makes it a bit nicer is their patio, which is a good option when the weather cooperates. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall experience. It’s a solid place for coffee and pastry, but more on the casual, everyday side rather than a destination café.

One of the best cakes I’ve had in my life has to be the Mango Yuzu Mousse Cake—it’s definitely the star of the show. I grabbed a few other pastries, coffee, and hot chocolate drinks for the family too, but they were just okay. Not quite on the same level, especially when compared to Faubourg when I had them in Paris. In fairness they’re presentable, but some bakeries in town would do better. Still, if I just needed something convenient, they’re not bad at all.

Stepping into this café feels like being transported straight into an English county estate. Old movies about kingdoms and noble life are projected onto the walls, creating a magical atmosphere. The space is decorated with portraits of aristocrats, grand chandeliers, and classic paintings that complete the royal vibe. It’s not just a café — it’s a journey back in time to a place where elegance and history live in every detail.

Blenz Coffee in Horseshoe Bay is a delightful seaside café that perfectly combines stunning views with a vibrant atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for a quick caffeine fix before catching the Langdale ferry or enjoying a leisurely chat with the friendly baristas, this spot never disappoints. The staff are known for their warmth and efficiency, often remembering regular customers' orders, which adds to the cozy vibe of the place.
We stopped here for a quick coffee on our way to catch the Langdale ferry and the experience was amazing. I have been to blendz coffee cafés on my past trips to Vancouver, but this was the first visit in about a year. The café is in a perfect location to view the amazing scenery from horseshoe Bay. It has ample indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great experience before you jump on the ferry. In my typical fashion, I had an extremely specific order for the barista including cup size, shot number and temperature. They handled it with humour and grace and my very customized Americano was perfect. With all of us attempting to support Canadian owned cafés this is a perfect choice if you're in Vancouver. Will certainly return next time we are sailing out of horseshoe Bay

Ordered 3 small cappuccino to go, cup were half full and very poorly done. When I showed the half cup of bad foam, just got a smile and a “it is a small as you ordered” (!!) We were 5 customers in the line up so no reason to rush the service. If you like coffee, not a good stop. And for the price of a small size you have a medium in downtown Vancouver …. Not recommended….To avoid

We visited yesterday to grab a hot chocolate, but unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing due to the behavior of the barista and the quality of the drink. Firstly, the hot chocolate was handed to us without a cup sleeve. When we asked for one, the barista responded with attitude, simply pointing behind the counter without clearly explaining. We hadn’t noticed the sleeves were kept behind the table, and instead of kindly guiding us, she acted as though our question was unreasonable. Secondly, the hot chocolate itself lacked flavor—it tasted more like warm milk than a rich, chocolaty drink. While I understand that different cafes have their own preparation styles, I’ve usually had staff offer to adjust the taste with a pump of chocolate or syrup when asked. However, when we brought it up, the same barista again responded with attitude, saying it would cost extra—without any courtesy or willingness to help. Overall, the customer service was poor, and I wish I had caught the barista’s name to mention it here. I hope the staff can be a bit more friendly and accommodating in the future—it really makes a difference in the customer experience.

I'm not sure why I chose this place with multiple coffee places within a block but here I am with my regret. You asked me if I wanted my breakfast burrito heated up. I said yes. Three bites in and the inside was cold and gross. I asked if you were willing to exchange for a diff menu item, I didn't wanna eat that one anymore. You said no exchanges, fine. But you get a one star review. Teach your employees how to operate a microwave. Make things right for your customer when they have to walk back two blocks to reheat a cold burrito. Don't come here, there are several coffee/bakery places nearby. Why would you come to a chain with day old burritos. Learn from my mistake. Go somewhere else.

I absolutely love this place! I go several times a week, most staff remember my order which I love! Food is amazing! Service is 10/10 but this place deserves a better location! More cozy vibes, I love coming here but I wouldn’t come here to study often if I need a quiet place which sucks. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication!

Pop in here occasionally when in Horseshoe Bay and usually it’s ok, may be a 3 or 4 star. However today I ordered their nitro cold brew and it was terrible. Overwhelming plastic taste which left me having to dump most of the drink. I think they need to look at the cleaning protocols for their nitro system or how they’re brewing it. Probably the last time I choose this coffee shop when I’m in Horseshoe Bay.

I went there late tonight, I was exhausted from work and errands for my Uncle’s wedding on the island. I had the nicest barista! We chatted as they made my sugar free hazelnut latte and I mentioned the new syrups out of the Okanagan called Simps Syrup that had the best flavour syrups. This barista was hands down one of the most friendly persons I have chatted with, even though it was close to closing and busy…he chatted while answering questions from other people and making amazing drinks. I wish I got their name! For reference it was 9:10ish pm on August 14th 2025

Crema Cafe Bar is a spacious coffee shop with ample outdoor seating and an on-site bakery that specializes in delectable desserts. The cafe has recently undergone renovations and expansion, making it a popular spot among locals. One of the unique features of this cafe is the installation of a pizza oven, setting it apart from other coffee shops.
They did a great job for how busy it is, very efficient system. The man who took my order was very friendly. I was shocked at how busy it was when I got here, I got all my things to go .. too loud. The blueberry tart was perfect. Blueberries very fresh and not too sweet. Iced caramel macchiato was also one of the best I’ve had perfect sweetness level. Avocado toast was bland and overpriced, I wouldn’t re order that but I would definitely come back and try out some other things !

The cafe provides a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to relax. The coffee is rich and flavorful, complementing the delicious pastries and food items. Every dish is prepared with care, showing the dedication to quality and taste. It is a delightful spot for a quick bite or a leisurely meal with friends. This cafe is certainly a gem worth visiting.

Great location. It's by the bay and there is a farmers market or event right outside the shop. Music and ocean while having coffee. Perfect afternoon. I think West Vancouver is much better than downtown Vancouver. It feels more like I'm on a vacation.

What a great spot for cyclists! En route back from horseshoe bay we made a stop for a few treats. The slice (pictured) was massive! Very generous portion size for the price. The lemon tart was also very good. A lot of people stop at isetta on their way back from horseshoe bay, but if you want a better selection (since isetta is always sold out by mid day) and less wait times, go here instead!

Such a great spot — clean, busy, and still perfectly run! Even when it’s packed, everything is spotless — tables, counters, floors, even the bathroom. You can tell they take real pride in keeping the place tidy and welcoming. On top of that, the coffee is great, and the staff is friendly and fast. It’s rare to find a place that handles high traffic with such care and cleanliness. Big fan!

First time visiting this cafe. Great location and very busy as it was a beautiful Saturday. Avocado toast with eggs and the breakfast croissant were delicious. Coffee was very good too. Beautiful location on the water. Definitely recommend.

Quite possibly the worst matcha in Metro Vancouver. Notice how it isn’t even the proper shade of green? There’s absolutely no real matcha flavour to be found. They don’t whisk it fresh to order either – it’s simply pre-whisked liquid poured in. And do they bother measuring the amount? Not at all. A splash of milk first, then a careless drizzle of weak matcha on top, and that’s it. The concentrate itself is so feeble that adding more does nothing to improve the taste. Utterly the most wasteful purchase I’ve ever made.

I saw the rather poor reviews but came anyway as it was convenient. I checked out the coffee and saw JJ Bean and HOPED it would be delicious, but it wasn’t. No crema? Too hot and very bitter tasting, but also watery. It’s amazing how the only company that can make good JJ bean coffee is one of their outlets. And they never fail, especially the Broadway one. We saw they made handmade, Italian pizza and thought we would try it. It looks amazing, it looks authentic but it isn’t either. The Margarita Pizza lacked flavor; the crust was tasteless, the sauce disappointing, and there was no flavor of olive oil. A very disappointing experience. Even the home made iced tea tasted like lemon concentrate and green tea. Too bad!

Temper Chocolate & Pastry is a popular confectionary and cafeteria located in West Vancouver, offering a diverse range of European pastries, cakes, chocolates, and sandwiches. The modern space with patio seating provides a delightful experience for visitors. Chef Steven Hodge's expertise shines through the high-quality ingredients and creative techniques used in crafting sugary pastries, cakes, and sweet bread.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Temper Chocolate & Pastry, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience. The first thing that caught my attention were the mouthwatering croissants and desserts they had to offer. From the moment I took my first bite, I was transported to pastry heaven. The croissants were perfectly flaky and buttery, and the desserts were a delightful combination of flavors and textures. What impressed me even more was the variety of food options available at Temper Chocolate & Pastry. Whether you're in the mood for a light snack or a satisfying meal, they have something for everyone. From freshly made sandwiches and salads to delectable quiches and pies, the menu caters to all tastes and preferences. One of the highlights of my visit was the outdoor patio. It provided a serene and cozy ambiance, perfect for enjoying my treats while soaking in the sunshine. The patio was beautifully decorated and offered a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Overall, I highly recommend Temper Chocolate & Pastry to anyone in search of great croissants, desserts, and a wide range of food options. The quality of their offerings is exceptional, and the outdoor patio adds an extra touch of charm to the experience. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!

Smooth and velvety chocolates here! I buy a few sometimes to reward myself…. They have good croissants and pastries, too. My favourites are orange cranberry scone (real scone! Not biscuit or muffin like most other places) and Charlie bite (cinnamon roll croissant pull apart). Those are soooo good. Must tries!!

Have been passing by this a few times and today finally had the chance to try it. Mocha was beautifully done. Chai tea latte was good and not sweet at all. Their pastries are very good too. Had the almond croissant and “opera.” Really loved opera and will certainly recommend it. The croissant was not too fresh but I’m sure at some point it was! They also have lots of seating available and paintings for sale.

If you want exquisite pastries or chocolate, TEMPER is your go to. I love west Van anyway, but this confection of a coffee shop has my heart ❤️. I love love the scones, the cinnamon Charlie. It is different than other coffee shops who offer the usual. Enjoy a americano ...enjoy the view...share the scone or Charlie. Yummmmmm

Their chocolate is famous and I say it tastes good and it looks pretty! They could have done so much more with this place given that it is in WestVan and close to the beach. The setup is very plain and all the items are quite pricey. The croissant were delicious and despite I have gluten allergy I had half a piece! My suggestion to the owner is to cozy up the place and make it a real hang out space.

Cindy's is a fantastic brunch spot located in West Vancouver, known for its exceptional food and delightful menu options like waffles, pancakes, and egg bennies. Their top recommendations include the fancy benny with salmon and the Belgian waffles. The prices are reasonable for both lunch and breakfast, while the service staff is extremely friendly and accommodating to customer requests.
So we stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to either breakfast or brunch. I must say that this place is super cozy, has great service and the food is great. Is not too expensive (I would even say is fair and comparable with other breakfast places in Metro Vancouver). Portions are just right and quite tasty. Owned by women and amazing service by them too. They will look at you with a warm smile that will make you feel at home.

My first time at Cindy's was with my 4-year old daughter as our mummy and daughter bonding on a a fine sunny Saturday. She always asks me to take her to the eating shop (as what she calls a restaurant) and then to the beach. We agreed to have brunch at Cindy's and I ordered waffle with fruits and a berry smoothie for her and Mediterranean omelet with potatoes for me. It was very good and we ended up coming back the next day and took my husband with us. Nice cozy environment inside. Service was great with a friendly staff. Price is reasonable.

It was my first time visiting, and surprisingly, there were no other customers in the morning. Nothing on the menu really stood out, so I ordered a latte and the French toast. Unfortunately, the latte tasted very watery, and the French toast had that old, frozen bread taste. Not the best first impression.

Dropped by to have a quick brunch and was not asked what type of egg I would like to have brought a medium done egg and asked them to do a well done egg you would think they will do a fresh egg instead went on to burn that one as you can see from the picture below.# totally disappointed with the service I got.

Popped into Cindy’s after church. We’re visiting from out of town so we did a quick google search for brunch spots nearby and was very impressed with this spot! Warm and cozy atmosphere, beautifully decorated, the staff, Sonia and Shaya, were super friendly and the food was top notch! I had the Mediterranean omelette, my son had the classic Benny, my sister had the French toast and my aunt had the fancy omelet. I tried a bite of everything and it all was fantastic. Even the bathroom was beautiful! Highly recommend this place 😊

Nestled in the picturesque Horseshoe Bay Village, Starbucks offers a delightful coffee experience that combines stunning views with a cozy atmosphere. This Seattle-based coffeehouse chain is not just about its signature roasts; it also provides light bites and complimentary WiFi for those looking to work or unwind. The inviting patio features ample seating where you can sip your favorite beverage while soaking in the scenic bay views.
One of the best Starbucks branches I’ve ever experienced is the one located in Horseshoe Bay Village. The café is very clean and well-organized, with a calm and relaxing atmosphere that’s perfect for working or just taking a break. The staff here are always friendly and professional, preparing orders quickly and accurately. A great new addition to this branch is the monitors displaying orders. This feature lets customers track their orders in real-time without needing to ask the staff. It adds an extra layer of organization and enhances the overall customer experience. Moreover, the location of this branch is fantastic. You can enjoy a warm cup of coffee while taking in the beautiful surroundings of Horseshoe Bay. If you’re looking for a clean and well-managed branch with excellent service, I highly recommend this one.

This is a crazy busy Starbucks, probably because it's hard to get people to work this far away from affordable housing. Typical Starbucks food, reasonably priced for the neighborhood. Really friendly and hard-working crew. Smiling despite the stress. It doesn't help that ferry traffic is bursty so customers are bunched around ferry departures and arrivals. Definitely could use 1 more team member. Also maybe use slow periods to check on the toilets. Really great view from the patio.

Exceptional location what a view. This Starbucks has great view yhe patio has ample tables or you can enjoy the coffee at the bay. The indoor ambience is also great with ample tables and charging points. The staff was curtious and welcoming. I ordered shaken coffee and staff was prompt enough and made it great the way I wanted. There were ample indoor food options. There was washroom. Parking was a bit of an issue. There is free street parking but good luck finding one on a busy evening or weekend. There are parking lots but this Starbucks is close walk from the bay. Over all I enjoyed the location, ambience and coffee. My kids had cake pops which they always enjoy. Over all highly recomended. Check out videos & images and follow for more detailed reviews. Also check out my reviews about Horseshoe bay and playground.

Middle aged Middle Eastern woman cashier with very thick and almost non-compehendable accent was so rude to me. First off, why are YOU mad at me that I had to repeat my order 3 times? If you cant grasp the English language maybe you shouldn't be working in service. She almost snatched my card out of my hand, when I tapped and it didn't go through. I looked at the debit machine and it said "swipe or insert" and she was low key yelling at me "TAP TAP!" As if English was MY second language....holllly bud, get rid of her

Awesome & highly acceptable in terms of gourmet coffee & other edible items of good assortment, Starbucks, situated in Horseshoe bay, B. C., offers the same in an ambience of cleanliness, sanitization, friendliness, inducing buyers in a merry-go-round state, creating an atmosphere of utmost satisfaction, while the restaurant is exposed to a majestic view of BC Ferris, boats, other watercrafts, flying birds, greeneries of mountains - one that creates a harmonizing & refreshing effect to the visitors.

No wonder this Starbucks has such poor ratings and reviews. I also had a really disappointing experience at the Horseshoe Bay location. The cashier named Devin showed a complete lack of basic customer service. No greeting, no eye contact, no communication and an overall dismissive attitude. When I misunderstood his question (he was asking for my name but I thought he asked if there was anything else) and replied “that’s it,” he sarcastically said, “So your name is that’s it?” with a very unpleasant tone, attitude and continued to ignore me even when I tried to clarify. The supervisor Tisha stepped in and handled the situation professionally, which I really appreciated. But if Devin isn’t new, I truly think he needs to be retrained on proper customer interaction, communication and respect. Starbucks is known for friendly service, but this experience was the total opposite.
R H — Google review
Avoid this Starbucks — rude staff and poor customer service. I was on my way to Squamish and stopped by this location after finding it through Google Maps, hoping for a quick bite and a break. Before ordering, I went to use the washroom — something completely normal. A male staff member immediately approached me and said the washrooms were “closed” and for customers only, in a rude and condescending tone. He had no way of knowing whether I was a customer — I simply hadn’t had the chance to place my order yet. Jumping to conclusions and treating me with that kind of attitude was not only unnecessary, it was downright unprofessional. To the management at this location: This happened on July 18 around 8:15 p.m. — hopefully this helps you identify who was working at the time. This kind of behaviour reflects poorly on your store. Treating people like they’re unwelcome the moment they walk in is a great way to lose business. I had every intention of making a purchase, but after that encounter, I left — and I won’t be coming back. I’m a long-time Starbucks customer, and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at any location. If this is the standard you accept from your staff, I strongly suggest rethinking how you train employees to interact with customers — especially those who might just need a moment before ordering. There are many other coffee shops nearby where people are treated with basic respect. I highly recommend others skip this store and take their business elsewhere.

Bean Around The World is a modern coffee shop with a cozy atmosphere and consistent quality across its locations. Each spot has a unique menu but offers similar light fare such as sandwiches, baked goods, coffee, tea, and house-brewed soda. Customers praise the welcoming ambiance, comfy seating, and friendly staff. The cafe on Main Street is noted for its chill vibes and excellent coffee with a subtle and smooth espresso blend.
I’d been to their downtown location before, and this one definitely has a similar cozy vibe — though there’s a bit of an “old books” scent in the air. Still, it adds to the charm in a way. There are shelves with books (even a Bible!), and we happened to stumble into a chess tournament while we were there ♟️📚 The coffee was delicious, and we spent time playing board games in super comfy chairs. A quirky, welcoming place to relax and enjoy a slow afternoon.

I am not a regular at this cafe and I don’t know what the store looked like before the renovations, but I also don’t know why people are so crazy salty about it. This place is far from a one star cafe. Yeah, they definitely lack a menu on the wall still and the TVs over the counter are super ugly and don’t fit the vibe at all - but the rest? Pretty nice! I liked mural and the art on the wall. They were also playing some chill renditions of Ghibli music while we visited, which is never not cozy. I attached some photos from today for reference how the store looks now. Me and my parents grabbed some sandwiches, which were quite good and the coffee was delicious. Service was also very quick and friendly.

Only advantage is they stay late. However i personally didn’t like sitting inside, it felt depressing also didn’t smell the best for me. Bakery’s variety is so limited. Sitting inside the outdoor could be their other advantage if weather permits

I absolutely love coming to this cafe. Yes the cafe has gone through a change but for the better. I don’t understand why people are being so resentful towards the change. At least give the owner a chance, instead of writing negative reviews. People are saying there is no artwork anymore. Local art by local artist is hanging on the walls and for sale. It was really nice to see that the local artist gather and still sketch on Wednesday. Comfy couches are still at the cafe. Customer service is great. Plants are still hanging on the walls. Pictures of Mt. pleasant business in the neighborhood through the generations are displayed on the walls. The world’s map mural is painted by the same local artist that sketch regularly in the cafe. The Tv menu is going away and they have brought the old menu back. I heard the chess club is coming back as well. It’s warm and cozy and people are welcoming. I will keep coming back to this cafe and support the local business.

One of my favorite places in mount pleasant. The atmosphere is so cozy and comfortable. It feels like you sit in a nice community space sharing your vibes with your neighbors. Their muffins, coffee and drinks are very nice. Sometimes you can hear someone playing the piano as a background music.
Sirinya S — Google review
New renovation and owner completely ruined and gentrified the place. As someone who frequented this bean 4 or 5 times a week for the last 3+ years, I can confidently say this cafe has lost its love. This Bean used to be a warm welcoming hub for all walks of life. Now, instead of a lively cafe with students studying, people playing board games, beautiful art being made - we have a cafe where upbeat pop music is playing to a eerily quiet group of people glued to screens. The baristas are much less caring, not only in the drinks but also about harbouring a sense of community. No more hand written menus with monthly specials, instead replaced with TVs. Most unfair of all, the reviews from the old bean are carrying over - when in reality, most recent reviews would’ve barely gotten this cafe to 3 stars. No idea why they did what they did. Why remove the board games by the fireplace which were not hurting anyone? Why remove the comfy, warm vibes for bright white and black furnitures? How did the prices for a cup of tea double? Why are the lights such a bright white? Why remove the community piano? Also, I don’t remember so many security cameras all over the place… Most importantly, how am I supposed to know the menu if there isn’t one?? Unfortunately, I’ve lost my favourite place to play board games and card games around midnight and will not be coming back. P.S. the community misses Patrick

Let's cut straight to the chase, the remodel is terrible. This used to be a place so full of life and character. There must be new owners because the entire place has been changed, and for the worst. The walls that were once covered in cool art? Gone and blank. The plants that used to populate the corners? Gone and blank. The cozy comfy leather chairs in the middle? Replaced with beige wooden chairs. The bookshelves? Still there but without a book to be seen. One of the few cafes with personality left in the city has been manipulated and transformed into another cookie cutter copy and paste cooperate shell. It appears to be entirely new staff and when I brought my punch card that I filled out previously, they refused to honor it. I'm not sure what hurts their company more, a 3$ free coffee to try and maintain a regular customer or this onslaught of bad reviews. This used to be me and my friends go to place for a coffee and a chat. But you'd be better off making coffee at home and meeting up with thermoses.

I am seeing a lot of hate about the renovations on here. I get it, change sucks! I recently walked in and was floored by the change. It looks so fresh, clean, open and bright! I am obsessed! The iced coffee’s are amazing and there are not enough words in the english language for my love for the sausage rolls! Also huge shock over all the gluten free options. So impressed with Bean on main. I don’t usually love change but keep up with the positive changes!!’

Delany's Coffee House offers delicious coffee that may come across as pricey, especially at their location near English Bay. The cost of two lattes (large and medium) with tax and a 15% tip can amount to around $13-15. However, this could be due to the high demand in the area. Apart from the price, it is a great spot to enjoy a cup of coffee while taking a leisurely stroll along the coast.

Beautiful location in the heart of Dundarave Village, but the experience didn’t live up to it. The matcha was poorly made — watery and not whisked properly, which ruined the taste completely. The staff weren’t very friendly or welcoming, which is disappointing considering the warm, community vibe of the area. Lovely spot, but the service and drink quality need improvement.

Quick 10min caffeine-snack stop at Delany's Dundarave early Tuesday afternoon. Bright new mod interior vibe and uber-friendly people. The walls of its spacious location display paintings by local artists (land/seascape pieces shown in my photos by Danyne Johnston), while many outside tables fronting Marine Drive and winding along central covered breezeway lead to a back landscaped view terrace. Delany's has broad array of generously-sized fresh paninis, sandwiches, croissants, many delicious baked goods, beverages, and of course, specialty coffees. My latte was creamy superb and Smartie cookie rather tasty. Delany's offers deliciously rich coffees, delectable sweet and savory foods, and undeniably amazing atmosphere in Dundarave Village.

OEB Breakfast Co. is a must-visit destination for brunch enthusiasts, especially if you're in Metro Vancouver. This Calgary-based chain has garnered attention for its hearty and inventive menu that keeps patrons coming back for more. The eggs are sourced from their own flax-fed hens, ensuring freshness and flavor by partnering with local farmers.
From the moment we walked into OEB Restaurant, we knew we were in for something special. The design and layout of the space are absolutely stunning — modern yet warm, vibrant yet comfortable. You can tell that a lot of thought and care went into creating an environment where guests feel welcome and relaxed. The food was simply outstanding. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented, but the absolute standout for us was the poutine — it was hands down the best we’ve ever had! Rich, savory, and perfectly balanced, it truly set the bar high for the entire meal. What made our experience unforgettable, though, was the incredible staff. From the first moment we were greeted, every single team member who interacted with us did so with a genuine smile and a welcoming attitude. It wasn’t just a first impression — their warmth and friendliness stayed consistent throughout our entire visit. They were attentive, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. You could tell they genuinely cared about providing an amazing experience. The food was handled with visible care and attention, and it showed not just in the taste, but in the whole dining experience. We left feeling happy, full, and already excited to come back again. OEB Restaurant is a place we would recommend without hesitation — whether you’re visiting for a casual brunch, a special occasion, or just because you want to treat yourself to fantastic food in a beautiful space with the best service. Truly a five-star experience! Here is my Daughter feedback: it was amazing truly worth a wait my family and I will be looking forward to coming here again anyone who comes here should try the poutine another thing you should try are the fries they are truly astounding and delicious.

Outstanding service and delicious, freshly prepared food at OEB Marine Drive in West Vancouver, BC! Their menu has so many tempting options that we're already planning our next visit. This time, my partner John had the Montreal Smoked Meat eggs benny with potatoes while I opted for the traditional eggs benny with Canadian style bacon and salad. Both dishes were absolutely amazing! The hollandaise sauce was perfectly prepared, and the ingredients tasted fresh and high-quality. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for an excellent breakfast or brunch spot in West Van.

OEB has been on my wishlist for a while and I was happy I was able to visit during my trip this year. As someone who loves breakfast, I really enjoyed their concept of breakfast poutines. You can even personalize it by adding toppings, choosing the doneness of your poached egg, and choosing your type of potatoes (or adding spinach or arugula to it). We got a few bowls of their breakfast poutine and their waffle with bacon bits. We also tried their flavored mimosas, which were pretty strong for a breakfast drink. Haha! Overall, we enjoyed our visit to OEB and would definitely go back to try the other dishes!

I never write poor reviews but this might be the most disappointing restaurant experience. My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday breakfast and this is what we got. Portions were very poor for the cost. Food quality was also not good, scrambled eggs were wet and runny. Only 2 of us, meal came to $70. I have been to dive breakfast restaurants for $10 with way better portions and food. Server was increasingly rude, horrible attitude. The breakfast pictured was 21$, this is ALL it came with! I show my friends the picture and they thought it was a joke. The staff knew we were clearly disappointed and did nothing to make it right.

Seaside Village Cafe is a warm and inviting establishment that feels like stepping into your grandparent's kitchen. The ambiance is cozy, with wholesome family photos adorning the walls. Run by a delightful lady, this spot offers the best sandwiches in town - simple yet incredibly delicious. There are several seating options available including tables, a window bar overlooking a peaceful street, and even a chess area for those inclined to play. Locals frequent the cafe for snacks, coffee, or simply to have friendly conversations.
Love the sandwiches here. Ordered chicken sandwich and salami sandwich. Strong recommend if you visit the village around.

Really homey and cozy cafe. I liked the little touches of newspaper clippings, photos, and momentos pinned on the walls inside. Local newspapers and tourist magazines are available so it's a nice place to spend half an hour while waiting for the ferry.
Janice C — Google review
The relaxed, friendly proprietor Mirta has been here in this location for 28 years, and it shows in the refined quality of the food and beverages that seamlessly blend into the details and lovely atmosphere of the café. I can recommend the coffee and the Hummus and Veggie Delight sandwiches. I needed something light and healthy, a pick me up meal, and this place hit the spot in multiple dimensions.
Ricky L — Google review
Menu is unfortunately confusing, if you do have preferences you will need to state them upfront because she will not ask. Each sandwich cost $12 (+$2 for cheese, which we wanted but weren't asked lol). $28 total for two sandwiches and a carrot cake loaf. Was very tasty for what it was and convenient for grabbing near the ferry but I would recommend subway over this spot

Such a cozy spot!! Got breakfast sandwiches before taking the ferry - very delicious

Nice little local cafe in Horseshoe Bay. Interior is small but cozy with a good vibe with just a couple of seats and tables. Food and coffee was not exceptional but still good. I still prefer this local cafe over Starbucks.

Small, sweet spot. Cappuccino was ok, but the sandwiches were freshly made and delicious, and the smoothie was a lovely treat. The staff are so sweet! Vegetarian friendly.

If your grandparent were to open their kitchen to the public, it would be this spot. Super welcoming & cozy spot filled with wholesome family photos run by a lovely lady that serves, hands down, the best sandwiches I have had in a very long time. They are so simple, but SO delicious. There are a few tables where you can sit and enjoy your meal, a window bar with a pretty view of the calm street, and even a little spot to play chess if you're so inclined! While enjoying my visit, there were quite a few locals that came in for a snack, coffee, or just a chat and you can just tell how much of a gem this is to Horseshoe Bay. 10/10 would recommend and go again.

Bistro
Isetta Cafe Bistro is a charming spot located by Cypress Creek, boasting a beautifully renovated space with mid-century architectural elements and a soothing color palette. Adjacent to the cafe is the owner's impressive car collection housed in a garage. While some visitors found the prices slightly steep and encountered minor issues with their orders, many appreciate the cafe for its inviting ambiance and delectable food offerings.
What a gem of a spot in West Vancouver! Isetta Caffe’s coffee was outstanding—rich, smooth, and just the right kick to start the day. The cookie was buttery and crumbly perfection, and the banana loaf hit all the sweet, moist notes without being overpowering. But honestly, the cozy atmosphere stole the show: warm vibes, ocean glimpses, and that perfect chill spot to unwind. I’ll be back soon—5 stars!

I rode by here an hour ago and there was no parking. I went for a donut in Horseshoe Bay and rode back. After getting parking, there was a 20 min line out the door and another 20-30 min wait for my food. Brunch was sold out at 11:30am precisely and you couldn’t get them to make exceptions. I ordered the Isetta burger and fries. The burger is a standard diner flat top patty with American cheese on a soft bun. The fries were nice and crispy.

Nice place to hang out in west van to chat over coffee and pastries. Coffee was decent. Decor is rustic and comfortable. Space is clean. This cafe gets busy and serves lunch. Saw lots of alcohol available but have not had the opportunity to drop in for that yet. Happy hour 5pm to 8pm.
Pokemon M — Google review
I’ve been to this café several times, and the staff have always been very kind with excellent service. This time, however, the manager’s presence made the atmosphere a bit stressful, as we felt constantly watched, and even asking for cutlery became a little uncomfortable. Still, the bartender and the lady who took our order were amazing and really improved the whole experience.
Mina Z — Google review
We went there around 5pm had a cup of coffee. Saw the sign for peak hour time limit so i am sure it’s a busy bistro at lunch. We went at a good time that not busy. The restaurant has high ceiling and trapped noise inside. It could be a bit noisy when the restaurant is busy There is a gelato cart in front of the bistro and ended up adding a scoop of ice cream in the coffee to make my own affogato.
Snoopy K — Google review
Neighbourhood gem, great spot to dine in or grab a coffee and breakfast pastry to-go. Chill vibes, with pet friendly outdoor seating and child friendly seating. The food was well balanced and reasonably priced, with the shakshouka as my favourite dish!
Ranita L — Google review
The tomato soup was incredibly tasty and the grilled cheese was crispy and perfect for dipping in the soup. The burger was delicious too, with the perfect classic cheese burger taste and cooked really well, not dry at all. We also had a matcha latte and an affogato and both were great! The matcha was high quality and really well made.

Such an important and refreshing place in Vancouver. In a city where so much gets torn down and replaced with shiny new buildings, this spot really stands out for preserving culture and history—which is so needed. They even have a vintage car museum (not always open, but worth checking out when it is), and we’ll definitely be back. The café itself is spacious and beautiful with a unique aesthetic. I loved the food and the variety of options—lots of local drinks and pastries, plus a great menu overall. I had the babaganoush toast and it was absolutely delicious. The menu is very accommodating for vegetarians, vegans, and pescatarians—there’s something for everyone. We went during the week, but I imagine it gets busy on weekends. Still, it’s well worth a visit, especially if you’re a cyclist or visiting West Vancouver. Such a great vibe and a meaningful place to support. Highly recommend!

Thierry Ambleside is the latest addition to the Top Table Group, set to open in 2022 at Grosvenor Ambleside development with a stunning waterfront view. This patisserie will offer an array of delectable treats including chocolates, viennoiserie, tarts, cookies, and light lunches featuring French baguettes. The ambiance is praised as being superior to its downtown counterpart.
Thierry is a modern and luxurious chocolate and dessert spot. I really liked the environment—stylish, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The desserts and pastries are on the pricey side, but they’re definitely tasty. One thing I appreciated the most was the free sparkling water—it’s a nice touch! I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere and am looking forward to coming back to try their brunch next time.
Lizzie S — Google review
My wife and I absolutely love going to Thierry. We try to make it a weekly ritual, and it never disappoints. Their Spanish lattes are our absolute favourite — easily the best we’ve ever had. Beyond the amazing drinks, the atmosphere is what makes Thierry so special. It’s warm, welcoming, and always feels like the perfect place to spend time together. Our visits are something we always look forward to, and we couldn’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for a great experience.

I’ve never had anything quite like this before. It looks like it would be really sweet, but it’s not — the Tahitian vanilla is deliciously creamy yet a tad milder than traditional vanillas and pairs beautifully with the buttery crust. I taste more of that savoury croissant-like flavor than overwhelming sweetness, and the flaky texture is absolutely perfect. Seriously so good, everything is balanced just right. *chefs kiss*
Lorie R — Google review
We were out for a walk finishing at the Ambleside seawall, so we stopped by here for a drink and treat to fuel up before walking home. My wife had a pain au chocolat and a flat white. The pastry was very flaky and chocolaty gf not too sweet while the drink had some caffeine to help gives us energy for the wall home. I ordered a house pressed lemonade and an almond croissant. The lemonade was refreshing but not too sweet, more tart. The croissant was so flaky and the almond paste so flavourful! They were both great after the walk! This place is definitely worth a visit!
Patrick G — Google review
Thierry Ambleside is quite the spot. The location alone is fantastic, right by Ambleside beach, which makes it ideal for grabbing a coffee or lunch after a walk or just enjoying a relaxed afternoon near the water. The first impression you get walking in is of a spacious and stylish cafe. It has high ceilings, comfortable-looking furniture, and a really appealing interior design. And the pastry display? It's genuinely tempting. We've stopped by for coffee a few times before, but today, after our morning walk, those beautiful pastries were calling our names. We decided to try their almond croissants. They looked perfect – flaky and golden brown. Unfortunately, while the croissant itself was delicious and had a lovely flaky texture, the almond filling wasn't quite what we expected. It had a somewhat doughy consistency and was very sweet, almost like marzipan. Both my friend, who orders almond croissants quite often, and I found it didn't quite hit the mark. We actually ended up removing most of the filling and just enjoying the excellent pastry. I'm not sure if the filling was just a bit off today or if that's their standard recipe, but I probably wouldn't order the almond croissant again. However, they have a really enticing selection of other pastries, so I'm definitely planning on going back to try some of those. It's worth noting that it's a self-service place. The service was quick, but it would have been nice if it had been a little friendlier. The coffee was good, and sitting outside on their patio was very pleasant and relaxing. So, overall, it is a lovely cafe with a great atmosphere, and I'm looking forward to exploring their other offerings.

The cafe is nice and staff are polite and friendly! I ordered pistachio latte, it was nice but was mixed by almond. So, if you are not a fan of almond, try to order something else. The raspberry pistachio sweet was great! Recommend this cafe with a cozy while dynamic environment!

Starbucks is a renowned coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, offering its signature roasts, light snacks, and WiFi access. The branch in Vancouver provides an almond croissant that is affordable but lacks sufficient almond paste. While the staff is generally welcoming and friendly, cleanliness can be inconsistent at times. Some customers have experienced burnt coffee due to aging machines or high order frequency. Despite limited seating, the location offers ample parking space and friendly staff.
We tried the Starbucks Cake Pops, and they were so good! 🍭😍 Perfectly sweet, soft, and absolutely delicious. They’re the ideal little treat to go with your coffee. ☕✨ Always a hit, and we’ll definitely be back for more! 🙌🍰

A decent Starbucks. Same products as everywhere else. Decent but at-times slow service. Big space with an unfortunately-placed supporting pillar right in the middle of the store.
Steve M — Google review
Got a no ice, cold oatmilk matcha, with vanilla cold foam on top and got a half filled drink which they shook hard enough to fill the other half with milk foam. Can’t even tell if they even put vanilla cold foam in this one…
Ira F — Google review
They forget my caramel drizzle every single time I come here (which is often as I work in the area) When I am paying almost $8 for a drink, I expect it to be made properly. It’s frustrating to have to flag down a barista to tell them they forgot it. Must be new staff because this never used to happen. My coworkers also say that this location is constantly making their drinks wrong, or making a completely different drink than what was ordered.
Kessara — Google review
I usually enjoy Starbucks, but today’s experience was very disappointing. I placed a coffee order, and the barista-cashier Micaela made a mistake with my drinks. Instead of fixing it, I only received one coffee, and the other was not prepared properly at all. I was told I would only be charged for the size difference (about 0.63) and also I pay tip for this behaviour, but the process took another 10 minutes to sort out. Even worse, there was no apology offered for the mistake, and I ended up waiting over half an hour just to get my drinks. This is not the level of customer service I expect from Starbucks. Mistakes can happen, but an apology and quick correction would have made a huge difference.
Kiana T — Google review
This used to be a Starbucks with a friendly staff, but the last couple of times I’ve gone the staff seem fed up with their job. No greeting (not even a smile) from behind the counter, even when you are standing at the till waiting to order. I went in today, no line up, 3 people behind the counter. I made eye contact with two of the baristas and no “hello”, no smiles, and no “we will be with you in a moment”. Just looked at me and then turned their backs to go back to the task they were doing. I was ordering with Mona today, and she really did not seem like she wanted to get my order right. I had to correct her three times on two different mistakes for my one quite simple coffee order. And then she forgot my request for light ice =\ And I could barely hear her as she was speaking so quietly… I hope that things start to cheer up behind the counter as I go to this location quite frequently.
May M — Google review
I always have a great experience at Starbucks thanks to Mohammad. He’s incredibly kind, professional, and really knows his craft. His friendly attitude and excellent service make every visit enjoyable. Truly one of the best baristas I’ve met—highly recommend!

I ordered online but the starbucks app crashed the first time and didnt show that I ordered at all! I ordered again and when I got there I saw they were making double my order I was shocked because they charged me twice and I didnt know! I spoke about it with my dad and this worker, Micheala, overheard and she told me that I can get a refund. She was so helpful! She was very kind for taking time out of her day and helped me. She definitely deserves a promotion or raise! I got my refund there fast :) Thank you Micheala! 😊❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Forecast Coffee in Caulfeild Village is a fantastic spot! The coffee is consistently excellent, with a great selection of blends that cater to every taste. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect place to relax or catch up on some work. The staff are friendly and always ensure you have a great experience. Plus, they offer a free coffee when you leave a Google Maps review, which is a nice bonus! Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area."

Today was my first time stopping by Forecast Coffee. They have plenty of indoor seating as well as a couple chairs outside. I was greeted right away and the service was quick. I tried their Bacon Breakfast Sandwich and a Caramel Latte with almond milk. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. I loved that they used a thicker cut bacon. All the flavors in the sandwich worked really well together. My coffee however was good, not great. I loved the art work/design on the coffee cups. Overall, I will definitely come back and try other menu items!

Jose S — Google review
I ordered a hot latte 8 oz with a flavour shot and I politely asked if I could switch to an iced latte after because I KNOW the barista did not make it yet, and the barista is like oh it’s too late, it’s not made but they only offer iced for 12oz, so I’m like it’s okay it’s fine….. And then she’s like okay I’ll make it for you, but I’m not giving you a lot of milk and please don’t pour more…. It was so so awkward and found it so ridiculous because there were milk containers sitting right there offered to public and it was self serve…… and she’s telling me that I can’t pour an extra splash.. Look at my photo for a reference, it’s literally just a splash extra LOL. This is comical. I respect that everything costs and there’s store policies, but damn you’re limiting an extra splash of milk? Lol. I paid $25 for 4 coffees, I paid the premium price for drinks, and this is just stingy behaviour in return. Do not recommend.

Great coffee shop on the north shore. Great atmosphere and good coffee. Highly recommend
Adam P — Google review
I'm giving 5 stars because the coffee was phenomenal, the breakfast sandwich was delicious and the staff were great. I do have to mention that the older man working in the back making food orders made the otherwise peaceful atmosphere completely awkward and awful by losing his patience on the front staff. I got the sense that he was the owner berating the staff, and that is really not ok. Regardless if he's the owner or a staff member, he should not be speaking down to the sweet ladies working the counter and batista. As a customer having a relaxing atmosphere is very important and I also don't want someone angry making my food. I understand moments happenbut please be aware of the type of work environment you are creating and how the effects customer experience.
