Cuatro Almas is a stunning retreat where customers can enjoy a delightful morning meal. The proprietors have clearly dedicated considerable effort to crafting a peaceful and inviting ambiance. The menu boasts an array of traditional Mexican breakfast specialties, as well as other enticing options that go above and beyond expectations. Additionally, the coffee is superb and the staff is attentive to patrons' needs. Without a doubt, this establishment warrants repeat visits due to its exceptional qualities.
Great place for traditional Mexican breakfast, love the chipotle chilaquiles. Great service, kudos to the owner and team. Keep up the good work. We were party of 8 great prices. Find near parking is quite a challenge, but it's worth to try.
Ricardo M — Google review
Amazing atmosphere with service to match! The chilaquiles were delicious and a must try.

Cozy and secluded. Very good food. Perfect for Brunch 🥂
Fer F — Google review
Such a fantastic oasis to escape for a nice breakfast. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into creating a nice relaxing space. The menu includes all the typical Mexican breakfast delicacies you would hope for (and more!), the coffee's great and the staff attentive. Will definitely be visiting again!

Beautiful decoration, delicious food, excellent service and inexpensive prices make this place one of the best brunch restaurants in the area. Everything feels so detailed and fresh. The only inconvenient may be wait time, as it is highly frequented by their enchanted clients.

Coffee shop
Café Cortao, a renowned eatery in San Luis Potosi, is popular for its delectable Latin and Mexican cuisine. Diners can savor a wide range of mouthwatering dishes, along with an assortment of desserts and beverages, all served in an authentic Latin ambience. This establishment lives up to its reputation as patrons rave about the exceptional egg on toast with mushroom gravy.
If you miss visiting this amazing restaurant then you will regret it more than I can tell you. The owner is the kindest most welcoming gentleman. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The food though is the true star of the show. It is incredible. Stop in and be treated and eat like royalty. I asked the owner, Alfredo, to bring me what he thought I would like and I was not disappointed. The mole is outstanding and the mushroom gravy was divine. Visit here and you won’t be disappointed.
G P — Google review
Simple place with superb food. We had the opportunity of having the chef/ owner, Alfredo, taking care of us. He sat with us, asked what we liked and wrote in a paper a menu for his assistant. All he chose for us was really good.
Mario M — Google review
This was my first time eating here and it was excellent! I didn’t know that you could split entrees. My first server explained this and I opted to not split my plate. However, a second server came out and thoroughly explained the benefits of split my plate to try different things. She made suggestions on what would pair well with my original choice. I’m glad she convinced me to try different things. It was amazing! Flavor was off the charts! I’ll definitely visit again and recommend to anyone.
Elizabeth N — Google review
If you're in San Luis Potosí, you *have* to eat here. The food will blow you away, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is awesome. It’s an experience you won’t forget!
Haler A — Google review
This place was interesting. We got in and ordered a cappuccino and a latte and were looking at the menu to order. I wanted eggs and chilaquiles and my wife wanted an omelette. Out of nowhere a man came over and sat at our table without asking permission. I asked him if he needed something from us and he just talked over us. He asked me if I had any food allergies and I said no. Then he asked my wife the same question. He was talking in English as if he had known us all his life. He called the waitress and gave her an order, and talked with us some more. Asked us questions about our origins and made comments about the locations. Then he got up and left. I found out from the waitress that he was the owner. Later another waitress came over with two plates and lots of food. She put it in front of us and left. We ate some of it but in the end we left most of the food on our plates. I only liked a few items and my wife ate a bit more than me but left plenty on her plate. The bill was pretty high compared to what we are used to for breakfast. The owner went above and beyond on our breakfast selections. We paid double the amount of our regular breakfast selections. It made me very upset. Not only we did not order our food but the owner ordered for us and got plenty of food on our plates. We paid and as we were leaving we found him again and he asked with a smile how the food was. I said it was okay and wanted to say I had a lot better but my wife stopped me from finishing my sentence. It has been a while and it still bothers me what happened to us at this restaurant. It has a high rating but to me it was not good food. I don't know why the owner likes to do that to people but I can say for sure that we are never coming back to this place again. I rate our experience 2 stars. Never again. 😵‍💫🤢🤢
Juan H — Google review
Today, I had the chance to speak to the owner Alfred who took the time out of his busy schedule to share a few kind words with me, recommending me his 'best breakfast in the world'. Now, while it personally was maybe #3 in the world for me, it definitely was #1 in San Luis! This place reminded me of my time in Sicily, where everything was old school, yet great food and customer service. It's also far bigger in the back with some nice design and atmosphere of playing musicians. If I had to leave some feedback, it was the lack of public WiFi and the fact the place had no QR codes to leave ratings across TripAdvisor, Google and Apple Maps, only links to their FB/IG pages. I would also add photos of select food to their menu to highlight the best selection. Also, as the other reviewers here pointed out, Alfred the owner should stop trying to push his customers (especially foreign) to buy his most expensive 210 MXN 'Clásico con 4 porciones' meal to increase push his margins. He didn't even show me the item on the menu prior to 'ordering it for me' which I felt a bit disingenuous. This will likely lead to decreased ratings over the long term. Instead, in his place I would clearly introduce myself as the owner, then ask the customers if they would like the local recommendations or not instead of feeling pushy. For that, I am taking off one star. Overall, it's become my favorite restaurant here in less than a day and will definitely go back again, hopefully to come across Alfred another time. Thank you for making me feel welcome!
Tommy V — Google review
Very interesting restaurant. We placed our order then the chef/owner came to the table and completely changed the order telling us he was hoing to cook us the best breakfast we've ever eaten. It was very good.

Cielo Tinto is a refined Mexican restaurant located in a converted hacienda, offering an upscale dining experience with a romantic atmosphere. The restaurant retains much of the original glamour of the hacienda, featuring chandeliers, tile floors, and an open-air square where guests can dine under the stars. Known for its upscale takes on local dishes, such as octopus chicharron, Cielo Tinto is considered one of San Luis Potosi's best restaurants.
Im Glad we found this germ of place , the service great , food delicious we ordered Rib-Eye , Salmon , and Mango Chicken breast , we had a great time here . We ordered salads , and tortilla soup , 5.5 next time I’ll visit SLP will be there again for sure.

Came for the brunch buffet and it was great. My mom, Tia and sister enjoyed the chilaquiles bar and made to order eggs. Cannot wait to come back to SLP to try this place for dinner.

"Cielo Tinto is a culinary gem that exceeded all expectations, and the quality of food is michelin star. The combination of exquisite food and the enchanting live music created an incredibly memorable dining experience. The pork shank was truly the highlight of the night, perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. It was the best pork shank i ever had in my life. In addition to the unforgettable pork shank, the Aztec soup was a delightful surprise, further showcasing the depth of the chef's culinary mastery. Cielo Tinto is a must-visit for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. They have a menu that is english, which has been difficult to find in SLP. Eat here for sure! You won't be disappointed.

This was a really nice restaurant. It boasts a patio area but it was covered when we visited because of the weather. The atmosphere is very hacienda like and very roomy. Food was good and service was beyond great. Located near the historic plaza. Drinks were strong and flavorful.

Restaurant
La Parroquia Potosina is a popular eatery in central San Luis that offers traditional comfort food and a buffet option in a relaxed setting. The restaurant serves a variety of local dishes, such as cecina, sopes, and enchiladas. Despite being busy, the service is efficient and fast. Many people have been dining here since childhood and it never disappoints. The food quality is excellent and their Sunday buffet is renowned worldwide.
This Restaurant is about 80 years old, clean, inexpensive, truly a Tradition
Ricardo F — Google review
The service was very slow. The food was okay not very memorable. It was the only option that was open late.
Leslie F — Google review
***The place is OK*** It doesn't have the best food, but it does have a variety of choices. The prices are fair. I have spent more for bad food. I have also paid less for better food. The best thing about this place is location. It is downtown adjacent to a public parking place. Most places downtown don't have road access or parking space from away from it. You also get decent service here. Chairs are comfortable
Po'Mex T — Google review
This restaurant is more commercialized. The waitress insisted I get a buffet after telling her several times I wanted to order from the menu, she seemed irritated. The Huevo in Chile cascabel was not very good neither was the bolillo which surprised me. The menudo was good. The waitress was grumpy.
Hello B — Google review
It was worst food in whole trip in Mexico. My husband ordered Milanesa de res and I ordered Sopa de Mariscos. The Milanesa de res was burnt on the outside and tough on the inside, Sopa de Mariscos was it contained 2 shrimp, some fish, some finely chopped octopus, carrots, potatoes, green beans, and clams. More than half of the 5-6 clams did not open their mouths, and the rest had almost no meat. The food was really poor in the price. I don't recommend this restaurant and never want to go back. 👎👎👎👎👎
Jiwon L — Google review
Large cafeteria-like setting with large menu. Good food and service.
Mark S — Google review
Fairly good place. Not the fastest service but the food is good, the staff is friendly & polite, and the price is super fair & good. Nonetheless, during my visit they allowed for outside people to solicit the tables for "some help for a sick guy who is outside" and stuff and that really brought my whole experience down. On the other hand, I hope my review is fair to the restaurant itself since allowing the solicitor to come in and approach the tables is management decision and that should not give you the impression you won't have a good meal here. My Chiles en Nogada were awesome. I did not give money to the guy.
Pedro Q — Google review
Place was clean and server very attentive. Food bland NO flavor. The plate “bandeja Potosina “ specified for 2 people but had mini sized food. Drinks awful. Bolillo or pan blanco hard like a brick.

Delicious food and tasteful drinks. Nice calm atmosphere with a view of a park. Luckily for my wife and I, we got to see an orchestra play in the park. Nice experience.

An excellent restaurant! We love it so much, that we ended up eating every single day here. Super cheep, buffet was 25 dollars for 2 people, food was home made, and excellent service!!!. I couldn't believe how luxurious and high class the place was for the price we pay. I would have give 5 stars, but there was an incident. we left and before 30 minutes had passed we decided to go back to the restaurant so we can use the restrooms there since we just eat there. But the personal had been instructed from the maneger, once you are left,, you are not allowed to go back in to use the restrooms. I thought that was a bit to strict 😕. Why would you denied to people who just have pay money to eat there. It's just to strict for been such a wonderful place. Hope the the management see my post and change things a little bit. Because is not fare to denied entrance for a necessity that we all have. We all eat and have to go 😏..

As a tourist, this was a beautiful place to stop for a peaceful lunch and a break from the heat. Located just off of Plaza de Armas, the food and service here are good. The vibes are perfect. FOOD They offer complimentary bread for the table as well as bring sauces, butter, and other condiments. Our entrees that we ordered were brought out to us probably around 25min or so. Pollo con mole had great flavor in the mole but the chicken was a bit dry. SERVICE Our server did not speak English, and we did not speak much Spanish. We managed though, and they seemed nice enough. VIBES As I said, this is what is amazing. High ceiling. Airy. Natural lighting. Natural air. A tree growing in the center of the restaurant. I love it! Not a fan of the bathroom though. The lighting is too dim and the large metal doors there make it feel like you're in a prison-themed escape room.
Kelia — Google review
Very good food, service was poor we waited more than 45 minutes to get our plates. The servers who are plenty but seem like they were not a team and we weren't able to get what we wanted in a timely manner.

Stenzi T — Google review
This is a beautiful restaurant in the heart of the historic district by the state government palace and cathedral. I went a few times. The food was great each time, but the service was horrible. They just need to hire more service. It ruined the overall experience.
Jacques T — Google review
Presentation and food was very good. The restaurant was 😍 beautiful. They had their own bartender which provided the best mezcal cocktails all were very good! The only thing I would say is if you have a large party, let your waitress know before hand that you want to split orders before ordering.

Rincón Huasteco, a Mexican restaurant in a safe neighborhood, offers delicious and authentic food with friendly and efficient service. The dishes are flavorful and appetizing, while the portions are substantial and satisfying. The prices are justified for the overall experience provided. Furthermore, the restaurant is well-maintained, tastefully decorated, and creates a cozy ambiance for diners to enjoy their meals.
Make sure to add this restaurant when visiting SLP. Very local place and wall paintings, outstanding Enchiladas Potosinas and guacamole! You won’t regret.

Update: If you want to experience the authentic flavors from the Huesteca region of México you must come here! The meals are very flavorful with generous portions on each plate. The service is outstanding because the staff here is very warm and engaging. You feel like you are enjoying a meal at their home. If you need more information, please continue reading my full review below. My wife and I had the opportunity to return to this restaurant again recently. It remains as wonderful and enjoyable as our first experience here. This time we had the opportunity to meet the chef, Taurino Galván. Many of the ingredients and the bread used at the restaurant come from the Huesteca region of the state of San Luis Potosí, which explains the unique flavors found in the meals. Chef Taurino explained the different meals and ingredients to us which made me appreciate the food from the Huesteca region even more. This restaurant is featured in the 2023 edition of Guía México Gastronomico, listing the top 250 restaurants in the country. This is the only restaurant in the state of San Luis Potosi mentioned in this guide. The food remains very flavorful; the plates feature generous portions and the service remains excellent. We have eaten out at several places in this part of the city but we come back to Rincón Huesteco every time. We plan to bring our friends from other parts of the country to this restaurant to experience the unique flavors, warm hospitality and beautiful murals featured in this restaurant.

My only 2 complaints are that due is an amazing place is a little bit crowded and to place the order and bring the food was a bit slow and to parking is a little bit complicated due the location, but totally worth it; you should ask for the chilaquiles and also a piece of sweet bread and coffee

The food wasn't very good. I ordered " chamorro and they served me a lamb leg instead. The plate needs more sauce and salt. The tortillas were dry. On the other hand, the restaurant was built on the space of an old movie theater. The owner of this place doesn't incorporate the beautiful structure of the movie theater that is a gigant shell. Instead, he demolished all the place and left it for the parking lot. You can still admire this gigant shell into the parking lot. It is a shame that " The Avenida Movie Theather was lost forever 😢

We had a very good lunch here! We got the daily offering which included cactus soup, slaw, cold macaroni salad, one of three main courses from which I chose the tostadas, a rice pudding dessert and coffee would have been included if we had wanted it! All for 105 pesos. Good service and parking is available inside what was the old theatre (which is a shame, but there is parking!)

This place is perfect for breakfast, brunch and dinner. The food I've tried so far has been more than great. Prices are accessible and there's enough variety to try. They also offer buffet service which is inexpensive and a great option specially in the morning. The only thing I'd suggest working on is serving time, it usually takes a while but it's worth it.

Mesón de los Ángeles is a delightful dining spot that truly embraces the rich culinary traditions of Puebla. With an impressive array of vegetarian options, such as omelettes and chilaquiles topped with egg, it caters to diverse palates. The restaurant's signature mole is a must-try, showcasing authentic flavors that are hard to resist. Breakfast favorites like huevos de meson and chilaquiles con mole are highly recommended for a satisfying start to your day.
Besides adjusting the dish with chicken to our friend that doesn’t eat meat they shared the sauce recipe. By that you know you can find meal with an outstanding quality.

The mole is very good. They use traditional mole from Puebla. I recommend the huevos de mesón for breakfast. The chilaquiles con mole is also very good. If you order a jar of flavored water, it should last for about 4 people. You can also buy mole to make at home.

Great food, the pineapple agua was fantastic as was our enchiladas we ordered. We asked for some cheese crumbled in top for a little extra pizzaz. Salsas and chips that come with the meal were great too!

The attention to the customer is great. The restaurant offers many vegetarian options, like the omelette, the egg "a la mexicana", chilaquiles with egg, the "quesadilla especial con champiñones" (special quesadilla with mushrooms), among others. Guests rave about the quality of the food, highlighting how deliciously prepared each dish is.
Everything was wonderful from the food to the atmosphere! Would definitely recommend!
Arlenne S — Google review
1st trip- This is my new favorite restaurant in SLP. The quality of the food surpassed my expectations. We had a quiche and a chilaquiles. Both were excellent. It’s not a very kid friendly place but that’s pretty normal for us.” 2nd trip On my second trip I got horribly horribly sick from the cochinita pibil in the Chilaquiles. It had a little bit of an off flavor. Within a few hours, my stomach was feeling horrible and bloated. I was vomiting and had diarrhea and was on the verge of hospitalization. This was the only food I had eaten that day so I’m 100% sure I got sick from the food from here. This was the sickest I’ve ever gotten from any food in my entire life. It was horrible

The restaurant is best and it has a very pleasant atmosphere, with an elegant style. It counts with the temperature check and antibacterial gel at the entrance. The menu is huge and offers a variety of delicious breakfasts. Chilaquiles, molletes, garnachas, sopes are some Mexican options, but there is also croque madame and other international dishes. All is tremendously delicious.

Café Tres 60 is a charming spot that offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for those looking to work or relax. While the chai may not be the highlight, their matcha frappe is delightful, especially with its rich whipped cream. The star of the menu has to be the Wrapp de Pechuga—though small in size, it’s bursting with flavor and pairs wonderfully with tasty fries.
Very good food and GREAT service. We had omletts and they were excellent. The "cafe refill" is very good for coffee drinkers like me. I will be recommending to fello travellers!!!
James O — Google review
The space is nice, great for sitting and doing work for the day. The chai (tea leaves) wasn’t so great we didn’t try the powder because it’s usually too sweet and not really chai. The matcha frappe was quite, the whipped cream is a bit on the thick side, but I would order it again. Now to save the best for last, the Wrapp de Pechuga was absolutely delicious. If you’re super hungry you might need two, because the serving size is small, but it’s absolutely worth it - even the fries were good. Lol The service was also pretty good!

Bit disappointed, I came with my friends for breakfast everything was going well until we ordered. Their pastries at La Polska, San Luis Potosi are among the finest available here. While they may not quite match the authenticity of those in Europe, they come pretty close. Some beloved choices among my family include pain au chocolat, croissants, and traditional conchas. Finding top-notch pastries here makes me happy. However, I consistently face an issue with the front desk staff's slow service during my visits. Despite their friendliness, it takes an unnecessarily long 10 minutes to put food in a paper bag, and it would be great if they could speed up this process.

Food was excellent! I love authentic mexican food and when I looked for a place to eat, this place caught my attention. Just looking at the pictures on Google maps was making me so hungry! I recommend this place 100%. We are going to eat here again soon. Enchiladas suizas Rojas was really good. And the chilaquiles with chicharon was delicious! Gorditas.....amazing. My favorite was the papa con chorizo. I come from Mississippi in the United States. And I love this city, the people and the food!

Doña Blanca offers a memorable dining experience. The handmade dishes are amazing, bursting with authentic flavors. While some may find the food slightly salty, it's a minor detail that doesn't detract from the overall exceptional quality. We had the pleasure of trying their soup, Cheese Pepper, Rice, Huitlacoche, and a refreshing guava water that perfectly complemented the meal. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was a delightful blend of styles. While finding parking on the street can be a bit challenging, it's well worth the effort. The taste and presentation of the food is very good. However on my recent visit the service was terrible; it was packed but we decided to wait 20 min. The hostess was like a chicken without head running everywhere without sorting out tables for the people waiting. After getting our table it took 15 min to the waiter to bring the menu after asking dor it and 10 min to getting the order . Not bread on the center of the table. And other 20 min to get juices ...and no coffee. And later on the food. Getting the check was long too and we paid over the desk. Service indeed can improve.

One of my new favorite places for a good, and I mean "gooood" breakfast. Specially if you are really hungry and can't wait for it. A 5 minutes after order place and the best part, meals really look like the picture in the menu. Good to visit with friends and family for a tasty Mexican "Cafe de olla" chat...

It's not the best restaurant of its kind, but flavor is not that bad, I strongly recommend to take advantage of weekend offer "all you can eat" which includes bocoles, eggs, zacahuil, juices, tamales, bread and so on. Im putting 5 stars because I have nothing to complain about. I was in an extremely stressful situation and we were meeting to discuss how to handle it. So I want to put less stars. But the honest truth is that their service was excellent, my iced chai soy latte was great, and the pastel or pan dulce de elote (just made of corn but sweet) was more akin to cheesecake without the actual cheese taste than the more dried up or whatever that ive had at other places. The tortilla soup was of course better than anywhere ive had it in the US. My was dying over her carrot cake and i remember it looking really good. The portions were great, not overwhelming but just substancial enough and I was alot more relaxed upon leaving. So i guess it does deserve 5 stars.

The restaurant is very elegant and counts with a terrace. Toks is great for multiple and varied occasions, from special dates like birthdays and anniversaries to casual reunions. This is a update on my last review unfortunately it’s not gonna be good so I’ve down graded it to 1 star. The staff is not friendly at all very short and rude i walked in the morning and they didn’t even want to make a fresh smoothie instead pushed to sell me a cold press drink. If I wanted that i would go buy it at HEB. Another thing was that they didn’t have spoons for my bowl not to mention that this bowl is basically a banana diced up in a soup of juice one of the saddest fruit bowls I’ve seen in my life . So I suggest you go else where for a more pleasant experience over all. ———— (1st experience )Good spot for smoothies and other healthy eats. They have front parking the restaurant is clean and industrial look. Clean restroom and the products are delicious. And they do accept cards. only reason for not giving them the 5th star is the customer service unfortunately it leaves something to be desired as most potosinos lack the welcoming feeling.

Previously, my wife and I often went to buy from them with the intention of supporting them, but it has always been a pain to buy from them: because they were not consistent with the schedule (I don't know if they are anymore) and it was very common to find them closed, or because their terminal was never has accepted Santander cards (something that has been reported many times and, evidently, remains the same...). This is not to mention that, objectively and honestly trying to put it aside, they charge a lot for simple churros with cajeta. I used to highly recommend them. Not anymore. The place had outstanding friendly service and very quick. The omelette was not amazing but the chilaquiles made up for it. I know COVID-19 still hasn’t been proven to be transmitted through food but I did notice times where the kitchen staff was not covering their mouths and nose properly while handling food. I still give it a four because it is spacious enough and kept the other measures well. In the same square there is a restaurant Volare which is more modern less Mexican traditional that we loved and with their breakfast special ended up being cheaper than here and we’ll probably go back there next time.

Lunchtimes are more relaxed, and they're open until 5:30 p.m. House drinks and Heineken beers are available. Café Sideral was the perfect spot for my morning coffee. It’s a cute coffee shop with lots of greenery and intentional menu and some baked goods. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars for food is because they do not have other food options other than muffins and cookies. Covent Garden Café & Crepas is a delightful spot that truly shines with its unique Crepizza, which many visitors rave about. It's so delicious that you might find yourself ordering more than one! While the café can get quite busy in the evenings, making it wise to be prepared for a brief wait for seating or your meal, the experience is well worth it. The ambiance is inviting and complemented by friendly staff who enhance your visit.
This place has the BEST Crepizza I have ever had. We had to order two since they were so good. It gets busy at night so make sure you don’t mind a small wait to be seated or to get your meal. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Place is nice. The pancakes are nice, not so sweet. 👍 But the service is slow. After ordering sth you can wait at least 30 minutes.
Matt M — Google review
My last experience at Covent Garden would deserve less than 3 stars, but I'm conceding 3 stars because the crepes are actually good. But the last time I went there, I ordered a breakfast: fried eggs with chorizo sauce and american coffee. The eggs were barely good, nothing special, the coffee was acceptable, but the time I had to wait in order to get my breakfast was too much. I would have loved that they would have served the coffee right away. But no, they served it almost at the same time than the fried eggs. When they finally served the fried eggs, the order was wrong, they brought the dish with a different sauce for me. I returned it and waited for 20 additional minutes. And the worst was yet to happen. There was a hair in the plate for my cup of coffee!!! In general service was not good at all, I hope that's something that could be fixed in the near future.
