Nestled in the heart of Warrandyte, Now and Not Yet is a vibrant social enterprise that reinvests all its profits into meaningful community initiatives. This charming café not only serves up delicious dishes made from fresh ingredients but also fosters a warm atmosphere where patrons are greeted with genuine smiles. Whether you're stopping by for a quick takeaway or enjoying a leisurely meal, the service remains consistently excellent.
Food was good! Some nice flavours. Toasty was well balanced without being too salty or sweet. Sourdough was fresh, not stale and rock hard. Fries weren’t as crispy as expected sadly but still alright.

Snazzy eatery on the main street. Yesterday’s muffins are a bargain at $3! Service is friendly & the crowd is well dressed.

First time at this cafe for our family of 4 and a fur child. We sat at their outdoor tables 10 mins before the cafe opened, but as we did we were greeted with a friendly smile. Impeccable service really. The coffee was perfect and a few little nibbles we got (croissants, ginger bread etc) were delicious. A delightful start to our day - thank you!
Nina S — Google review
First time here. Excellent service, and luckily, a table was free for 4 as it was quite busy. Whilst I wasn't hungry my partner enjoyed a very tasty Ruben sandwich... and, instead of eating half and taking half home, she gobbled up the lot as it was so yummy.
Ray M — Google review
Been few times. Coffee is consistent but food is NOT. I was left searching for chicken in my $15 pesto sandwich today and the $5 add on chips, the quantity was very disappointing. Hope this prompts a bit more quality control.
Aastha S — Google review
Looking for some healthy appetite dishes? Now and not yet is one of my favorite cafe at Warrandyte. Fresh ingredients and taste with friendly staff. The location is great, walking distance to the river walk.
David S — Google review
We waited over an hour for food whilst people who ordered after received theirs before us with no communication. When we got our food - the eggs were overcooked and my scrambled eggs had a black hair in them and were watery. I understand a Father’s Day rush but cutting down on quality shouldn’t be something that is done.
Julianna B — Google review
Baked goods we ordered were dried out and inedible. They did not say they were selling us day-old (tasted like week old) Coffee was lukewarm and crappy. Handed the baked goods back nicely saying they were not good but no acknowledgement of our dissatisfaction by staff. They just tossed them. Utter waste of $26!

On my recent adventure to Indulgence Cafe, I was treated to a delightful culinary experience that left me thoroughly impressed. The Lentil Dal Soup was a standout dish, boasting an exquisite blend of spices and perfectly cooked lentils that created a warm and comforting meal. The cafe's family-owned charm shone through in their exceptional hospitality and attentive service. I also indulged in the Haleem served with Rotti bread, which was nothing short of phenomenal!
Stopped by this café and had a coffee — it was really nice and smooth. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. Lovely spot for a good coffee and great service.

If I could leave 0 stars I would! 😡 We have been going here for many many years and never had an issue with the service or quality of food until recently. Last few times food has been forgotten with the order, *** allergy requests NOT followed***, pancakes came hard a rock with lack of presentation, chicken burger was still RAW - I repeat: RAW! As were the potato chips. $90 order for inedible food - what a joke. Get a new chef and sort this out! You’re losing my weekly business and I’ll make sure other people DONT go here as well! Disgraceful! 🤮

4 stars is the best I'll do unless my expectations are surpassed. That said, this cafe wins on it's spacious but quiet atmosphere. High ceilings, full length windows opening to a well covered spacious courtyard and a good selection of cakes, savouries and drinks. Service with a smile but nothing particularly outgoing. Seats are moulded plastic with flexible backs and a comfortable couch at one end. The spaciousness is what really endears this place. It has a light ambience without being too loud at all or too sunny. It's perfect in many ways for a late winter sunny Saturday afternoon Well here for a second time .. Staff friendly, We ordered a frittata and a quiche to avoid sweets. Coffee with a smile. Very good service for a sunny sat afternoon.. I'm starting to enjoy this place access was good as parking around the side is ample. No criticisms.. today.

The coffee was good and the floor staff were lovely and attentive, but unfortunately the food was pretty average. What stood out most, though, was how poorly the boss treated the staff. The staff are doing their best, but the management takes away from the overall experience.

I recently tried the Haleem with Rotti bread at Indulgence Cafe, and it was absolutely phenomenal! The Haleem was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection—full of tender meat and just the right blend of spices. The Rotti bread was soft yet slightly crispy around the edges, perfect for scooping up every last bite. The portion size was generous, and the dish felt like a warm, hearty hug. The service was friendly and the atmosphere cozy—definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to. Highly recommended if you're craving something comforting and delicious!

The man who served me was such a delight! He was very polite and friendly! The toasties and sandwiches were also very delicious! I dont come to The Pines often but next time I am here, I will come back to this cafe for my food and drink! Thank you for being awesome!

Nestled in the heart of Eastern Melbourne, The Pancake Parlour Doncaster is a delightful destination for pancake enthusiasts and families alike. This charming eatery has been serving up both classic and inventive pancakes for years, making it a beloved spot among locals. With its inviting decor and vibrant atmosphere, it's the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or brunch. Guests rave about their extensive menu that features everything from traditional pancakes to unique creations like strawberry-infused options.
I haven’t been to Pancake Parlour for a while, and was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and cozy the Doncaster location is. They currently have a winter special, 50% off when the temperature drops below 10 degrees which makes it such great value. Definitely worth a visit!
Ijaykay — Google review
I drove an hour to attend a meeting and decided to try this branch for sweets. The place itself is nice, and I appreciated the ample parking. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The loaded fries were burnt, and at $19, the portion and quality didn’t justify the price. The crepe was also underwhelming—so small it felt like a kids’ serving, yet charged at full adult price. The only item I enjoyed was the cinnamon scroll pancakes, which were reasonably sized and tasted good. Overall, it felt like we ended up paying more for the space than the food itself. It's 24/7 so if everything is closed..visit
Saima K — Google review
The food was OK with steaks, crepes, Cajun chicken salad. We also had the Dubai and Sticky date pancake which was good. After there were a few mistakes with the steaks, we greatly appreciated the attention Oli gave to us to make sure we were taken care of.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Pancake Parlour in Doncaster. The menu offers a great variety sweet and savoury options that cater to every craving. The coffee was strong and smooth, and the service was warm and friendly from the moment we walked in. The cozy decor and relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a weekend brunch. Highly recommend this place if you’re a pancake lover or just looking for a comforting, delicious meal. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Z — Google review
I like it but can be a bit sweet, particularly the chocolate royale drink, maybe it is just my preference. The crepe was tasty but pricey for the quantity. Service seemed to be sparse maybe it is because the place was busy. The overall feel of the place feels dated, but maybe it is just chosen vibe of the place.
Kelly D — Google review
Love this local pancake parlour it’s always a go to for my friends and family. Service is always friendly and happy to help and the atmosphere is very warm and cosy. I’ve come again today and tried their winter menu with the cinnamon scroll pancakes and I have to say this is my favourite thing I’ve had at Pancake Parlour. I seriously recommend it my friends and I loved the cinnamon scroll pancakes and you have to try before winter is over. The decor is also very stimulating and there is always a lot to look at.

This is one of the few options in east Melbourne for dining and gathering until late night. As it can be guessed from the name, the pancakes are great. I personally love the strawberry one. I have also tried the food options. You can experience options with a fusion of multiple cuisines. Overall, this is highly recommended if you are in Doncaster or nearby suburbs.

I had my 30th birthday in the function room at pancake parlor Doncaster. I had such a great time. From the beginning The organising of the function via email was seamless. They were very accomodating to my requests. I was able to decorate the room How I like. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. Food and drinks non the less amazing. I highly recommend booking the function room for your birthday! No matter how old you are.

Carlucci's Restaurant is a relaxed Italian establishment offering a covered terrace and specializing in traditional pasta and risotto dishes. Customers can enjoy alfresco dining on the terrace, which is preferable due to the noisy interior. The menu boasts a delicious selection of dishes, including options without chips or potatoes but with vegetables instead. The service is fast and friendly, making it an ideal choice for families.
My children love this place. The food and outdoor area to roam is fantastic. We were there two weekends in a row.

Have been to Carluccis on multiple occasions for breakfast over the last 20 years and I was impressed to see it’s still super busy when I visited for dinner last week. I ordered the pesto gnocchi which was fairly bland as far as pesto goes but they certainly had an extensive variety to choose from in terms of pizzas, pastas and many other tempting dishes so I would be happy to try something else in the event of a future visit. Generous serves and friendly staff

Great food, super service, a little noisy but a Saturday night, so... Limited vegetarian options. Highly recommend.

Loved this place. It was super buzzing on a Friday night. Staff were professional, friendly and always service with a smile. Everything we ate was so delicious, the pizzas are cooked to perfection. Calamari is a must! And really recommend the Bread and Butter pudding. My friend's Gluten free pizza and crepes were excellent too! Can't wait to come back!

We had another wonderful dinner tonight at Carlucci’s Restaurant, and I’d like to especially thank Mr. Nima for his excellent service. He always takes great care of me and my family, providing the same warm and professional service every time we visit. It’s a pleasure to be served by someone so attentive and kind. I’d also like to congratulate the manager for running the restaurant and the team so well. It’s clear that the staff are well trained, happy, and committed to giving guests a great experience. Thank you again for another lovely evening — we’ll definitely be back soon!

Amazing! Feels like we were transported to Italy, with the amazing food, drinks and atmosphere. We ordered pizza, pasta, soup, wine and dessert and everything was fresh and delicious. Nestled in the picturesque bushland of Warrandyte, the Warrandyte Stonehouse Cafe is a charming stone-walled eatery that offers a delightful Modern Australian breakfast and lunch experience. Recently, I had the pleasure of gathering with family and friends at this lovely spot, having fond memories from my previous visit. The menu boasts an all-day breakfast option, which is perfect for those leisurely brunch outings. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, enhanced by a cozy fire crackling away inside.
What a fabulous experience. Three of us had the all day breakfast. Beautifully presented with unusual combination of flavors and tastes. We've eaten all around Europe and this would top them all. On top of that exceptional customer service. The coffee was great as well....and I'm fussy. All of this in the most serene area of Warrandyte on a gorgeous sunny winter day.
Ron H — Google review
We recently had a lovely get together with my brother and his partner and some family friends from our childhood. We chose the “Stonehouse” because we had such a great time when we went there last year. We were not disappointed with our choice. The food was excellent, very happy with the menu choices. Having an “all day breakfast” on the menu is a real plus, especially if you are going for brunch. The staff are very friendly and attentive and it was a nice friendly, comfortable atmosphere, especially with the fire burning. We will be back for sure.
Greg H — Google review
The food was excellent, but the service fell short. There was a significant wait for the food to arrive, and despite the staff not apologizing for the delay, the dish itself was impressive enough to make up for it. With a bit more attention and a sincere apology, the overall experience would have been greatly improved.
James T — Google review
Great place. It was busy and a tad noisy when we walked in, so we took a seat on the balcony. Nothing was a problem. All day breakfast win! We both had the breaky burger in a brioche bun.Great price $17 & delicious! Good coffee. Excellent service (even though they were down a staff member) Bing bang boom we were fed and happy. 😃

Very nice place. I reckon we came here for breakfast during the covid lockdowns and this place now has a lovely vibe. Fresh, great menu options, gluten free options and caters for big groups. Coffee is also really good. I had poached chicken, that was literally delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

Cocoa Moon Cafe is a charming spot nestled in Warrandyte, Melbourne, that has become a beloved local cultural hub. With its inviting ambiance adorned with antique decor, it offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for relaxation. Visitors rave about the delicious coffee and delightful treats like their colorful macaroons. The menu features hearty options such as Thai red curry roast pumpkin soup and an impressive big breakfast, catering to various tastes including vegetarian-friendly choices.
A popular cafe Food is great - Chorizo is exceptional. Cafe is bitter - not as good for Melbourne’s high standard. Has to wait more than 20 mins to have the food. One thing which can be better is the plastic plants - It would be much better to have real ones. Overall a nice place to visit if to enjoy on a slow paced weekend.

We were on our way of a road trip and stopped here for a quick coffee. I was ordering some Macaroon without telling the staff I wanted a rainbow collection of them. But she’s so smart and automatically filled up the box with another 3 when I ordered 3 colours. Perhaps she saw me counting and looking at the colours. I was pretty impressed :-) The macaroons are very nice and the coffee is good too. Worth to have a coffee here

Good food and coffee wasn't bad. Decor inside was different but different in a good way Wait time for a toasty was to long, over 30 mins . Still Worth checking out
William H — Google review
Nice cafe, good food, though few light and lower priced options, and despite their menu saying there’s a 5% weekend surcharge they charged 10% surcharge then tried to defend it as if I should accept it. Cafes have a responsibility to be honest about their prices and, if they’re going to increase it further, display that client including amending existing details on the menu.

Nice ambience cafe, they have good antique decorations and overall gives a nice and cosy vibe. We ordered Thai red curry roast pumpkin soup and the big breakfast. Love both, for me the soup is very hearty with a slight kick of spiciness. There are outdoor and indoor seating options which is nice.

Yum! Outstanding welcoming service by floor staff. Our family hired an area and we were treated to shared meat platters, grilled chicken salad platter, seafood and mushroom risotto and the desert cakes...yum! Coffee was great too. Nice vibe too. Must try !

Melissa in Templestowe is a true culinary standout. The food and service are absolutely exceptional, making every visit a memorable experience. The menu offers a fantastic range of dishes, each prepared with care and showcasing high-quality ingredients. From the first bite to the last, you can tell the chefs pour their passion into their creations. The staff is equally impressive, providing friendly and attentive service that makes you feel genuinely welcome. While the food and service are flawless, it's important to note the atmosphere is quite lively. The noise level can get extremely loud, which might not be ideal for those seeking a quiet, intimate meal. However, if you're looking for a vibrant and energetic dining experience, this is the perfect place for you. Despite the noise, the incredible quality of the food and the top-notch service make Melissa a cafe worth visiting again and again. It's the perfect spot for a delicious meal with friends or family, provided you don't mind a bustling environment. The waffles were delicious xx
Kai — Google review
Food was good, service was friendly, but the indoor restaurant is reeked with choking cigarette smoke that came from the 2 side doors adjoining to smoking room, often forgotten to close by the staff who were in out serving the two areas. We tried to inform the waitress politely to shut the door each time she opened it, as few of the tables including us have babies & young children, but our reminders fall to the deaf ears, very disappointing. We could have recorded the video and photo to submit to the council to file a complaint, that under the law, all indoor restaurant must not have smoking area, or it must be smoke free to ensure safety & wellbeing of the public/customers. I’m writing here in hope the owner of Melissa will take note and make changes. Dining should be a pleasant experience, for non smokers, a room filled with nasty second hand smoke could potentially do harm to the young & the old, the vulnerable group with underlying health condition. If you can’t stand second smoke, best to avoid, especially dinner peak hour, a lot of smoking customers smoke heavily in the smoking zone, leading the smoke to non smoking areas, worst still when the servers left the door open from time to time. Definitely not a kids friendly place.

Tucked away in the heart of Templestowe is a Greek-inspired gem you’ll want to bookmark — Melissa Cakes Café Bar. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, casual, and family-friendly. Our wait person, Brittany was AWESOME, her humour and attentive service helped make the evening special— the kind of place where laughter and great food go hand-in-hand. We kicked off with the Open Souvlaki, packed with juicy, marinated meat and zesty sauces. The Lamb Shoulder, was slow cooked to perfection and falling apart with every forkful. And just when we thought we couldn’t fit another bite... the cake counter called to us — an incredible display of Greek sweets and desserts that are impossible to ignore. What sets this spot apart? A carefully curated selection of traditional Greek beers, plus a full range of wines and spirits for every kind of palate. The staff were genuinely warm and attentive, which made the experience feel like a little slice of the Mediterranean right here in Melbourne. If you're into rich flavours, authentic hospitality, and a great place to unwind — Melissa Cakes should be on your foodie hit list.

We visited your restaurant recently to celebrate a friend’s birthday, but unfortunately, we found mold on the birthday cake that was served to us. This was extremely disappointing. One of the serving staff handled the situation very politely and apologized sincerely, which we genuinely appreciated. However, the behavior of the management team was very unpleasant. There was no apology or acknowledgment from them. Instead, we were met with rude behavior and even unfriendly staring, which made the entire experience upsetting. We had expected a much higher level of professionalism and care from the management, especially in a situation involving food safety. We hope this feedback helps improve customer service and food quality in the future.

The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were friendly. However, the food and drinks were disappointing this time. We ordered a chocolate milkshake, which tasted more like milk with a bit of cocoa powder mixed in — not a proper milkshake at all. We also tried the Chicken Kitopia, which was similarly underwhelming. Overall, the food quality was quite poor and did not meet our expectations.

I have heard that Three Monkeys Place is a pleasant café, so I decided to visit for a morning coffee. I sat in their charming covered outdoor area, which is quite unique compared to other coffee places in the vicinity. It's unfortunate that they are not licensed and do not operate in the evenings because it would be an ideal beer garden or wine bar for the area. The service was prompt and efficient. Although I did not try any food on this occasion, I would definitely consider returning.
Loved this restaurant for so long. We come here for brunch and coffee all the time. The food is absolutely delicious. Loved their angel hair pasta and salmon rosti. Just tried their sweet strawberry pistachio croissant, it was amazing too! If you looking for taro latte or matcha latte, they have them too.

Attended for a cappuccino, decided to have a toasted ham and cheese toasty. Both the coffee and toasty were lovely. Atmosphere was good. Bust at the time. I attended around 11:15 am on a Sunday and it was rather busy which I would say is a good thing. I noticed a number of reserved tables obviously for lunch. Friendly staff and very attentive. Yes I will return real soon.

nice, chill place for brunch and catching up We tried: Chorizo scrambled eggs - chilli was just the right spiciness - generous amount of scrambled egg - they use crumpets here Karaage don -Loved the sweetness of this dish from the sweet soy and mayo -The daikon and cabbage helped balance the dish -The most crisp karaage batter I've had, remained crisp throughout the meal, the chicken was so juicy Taro latte - sweet and milk well frothed

We had lunch today (Father's Day) and booked online 9 days ago. I think they didn't have my reservation, not sure. It was all a bit strange, we changed tables twice. They offered us scones for the trouble but we said no thank you as I don't like scones. Maybe would of preferred a coffee instead. Anyway, they were very busy and had to wait for 30 mins for the food. The angel hair pasta was delicious however the Roti Scrambled Eggs was ok. Possibly go again another day when it's less busy.

Amazing staff!! Unfortunately an incident took place the morning we were there but the staff were absolutely incredible, handled with privacy and dignity. The food was delicious and the iced chai was absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond for the rest of the customers while facing a very difficult circumstance. Hats off to everyone!

Came here about 2pm on a Wednesday. The place was partially full. The decor here is lovely, lots of fake plants hanging down from the ceiling but that's about all I liked. The pathetic gluten free slice was $8.80, although nice but nothing to scream about. The other GF option had run out so it's quite bad that they have so limited options for GF. I ordered a flat white while my friend had a latte, the bill came up to $19.75, ridiculous! We only are here because Jackson Court didn't have any other cafes around, Bamby was closed and the other further down was packed. Well, never again.

Down The Rabbit Hole Cafe is a modern and inviting spot with a relaxed atmosphere. It's popular among locals, so it can get quite busy, especially on weekends. However, the takeaway window makes it convenient for quick orders on the go. The staff are friendly and professional, creating a welcoming environment for guests. The menu offers a variety of sweet and savory options, including delicious bronuts with different flavors.
Brilliant local cafe in Templestowe, best one in the area or any close radius. All items on the menu are a massive portion and I like how they have the QR code so you can see the image of each meal on the menu. There’s ample seating and the staff are lovely. Been coming here for years and highly recommend!

🌲 ☕️ Love the atmosphere at this super cosy narrow hole in the wall cafe in Templestowe. The locals love it here. 🍽️ Service is always great and they’re super fast and switched on, and look like they enjoy working there. 🥯 Breakfast Bagel $16 was pretty good. Nothing out of this world, but decent for the price and expectation. - No split bills - Public holiday 15% surcharge - Smaller car park - Located in small local strip of shops - Walk ins - Potentia Pilates a couple doors down

Every time we pass by this place it looks busy. Finally we dropped in to try it out. Good customer service, nice seating options. Coffee is good. The Hole Lotta Breakfast dish has a bit of everything, but, the tomatoes come cold rather than grilled. Poached eggs on a bed of kale is quite tasty, eggs were smaller than average. Both dishes left us feeling very thirsty afterwards, perhaps the spices they used.

Really impressed with these guys. Have worked in hospitality for 6 years and lived in Melbourne for 19 years. This is hands down one of the best cafes out there. Incredible service offered by Olivia and Joe. The vibe was great. Music perfect level, lots of happy tables and prompt service. The atmosphere of the kitchen is cohesive and focused. Such a delight and took me by suprise. Food was hot and served within under 7 minutes. This is what Melbourne’s all about. Impressive to say the least!

Great coffee, great Yuzu Benedict and Breakfast Board. Worth the drive to tuck in and enjoy on any given day…. For when colleagues in Eltham say they’re working from home that day, this is the spot! Same owners have apparently ventured out to Blackwood Hotel near Daylesford… must drive out that way to see what’s cooking 😋

Nestled in the charming town of Warrandyte, The Bakery Warrandyte is a delightful spot that truly stands out. This quaint establishment, housed in a beautifully maintained old building, offers an inviting atmosphere complemented by friendly staff who are always ready to chat. Whether you're stopping by for a quick lunch under the trees or picking up some homemade pies to enjoy later, this bakery has something for everyone. Their pies are particularly noteworthy; you can really taste the quality compared to mass-produced options.
Had a wonderful experience at this beautiful bakery. It’s hard to find a nice gem nowadays . But this place is amazing , the staff were also extra friendly even on a public holiday. A must try , and once you’ve eaten your yummy pies , there is a nice walk pass next to upper Yarra river which is golden 😍

Whenever we visit Warrandyte, we pop into The Bakery. For a lunch snack under the trees. Or to get home made pies to take home. Often both … The Bakery is a beautiful old building, well kept. The staff are always friendly, thank you. It is between the main road and the Yarra River walk.

Popular, rustic outdoor seating. Good coffees. Can be sllow, but the view is nice. One gluten free option is a welcome addition.

Nice location with a leafy outlook and short stroll to the Yarra. Alas the curry pie had stood too long in the bay Marie and was dry and almost burnt. Not a big fan of mince - would have preferred meat chunks and a real gravy. Can be rather busy. Took a while to get my coffee 10min plus. Coffee was just ok lacking depth of flavour. Open on weekends is a bonus. There is a hot donut caravan adjacent also and a kids playground close by
Kendrick P — Google review
Fantastic pies! You can really taste the difference compared to factory-made ones, these are the real deal. A perfect stop during a walk along the Yarra, with a quality playground just 10 metres away to keep the kids happy too. Highly recommend!

What a disappointment, terrible sausage rolls, almost no meat, all filler, bad pastry, steak and mushroom pie was about the worst I've ever had. Burnt on the top, tasteless and no mushroom. Pastry again was shocking. Had a try of the carrot cake. So dry it tasted like last week's. If a bakery can't get pastry right, there's a problem. Overall never going back. Shame as I'm a tradie working in the area.

When I worked in the area, I used to come to this cafe under their former name, as it was a quite pleasant walk from my office. The staff are so friendly, attentive and cheerful. The cafe itself is fairly large and often have some work catchups due to the large dine in area. The food and coffee is also exceptional. Great cafe on the ground level of the medical centre.

Beautifully cooked and presented dinner with friendly service. They take great pride in the quality of their produce - the waitperson came back from the kitchen after we’d ordered to say the chef wasn’t happy with the quality of the protein in the dish I’d ordered, and made a recommendation for a substitute. All our meals were beautiful.

Bob's Your Uncle is a must-visit in Doncaster East! I went with a local friend who is a regular, and I immediately understood the hype. This cafe perfectly balances incredible food artistry with genuinely warm service. The food was an absolute delight—every dish was picture-perfect and delicious. We had to try their legendary items: The Tipsy Baileys French Toast: Pure, decadent indulgence. The elaborate Pistachio Croissant creation—a total showstopper. The savory Sammy Royale and the refreshing Beef Vermicelli Salad (a great balance to the sweets). The drinks were a highlight: the White Choc Pistachio Matcha and the Taro Matcha were both stunning, unique, and tasted as good as they looked!

This place is such a hidden gem. I will be coming back here forever, till the day I die. First of all, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ATMOSPHERE. The tall windows are so gorgeous, feels rustic and summery and modern but not the type of modern that drives you away. It's so inviting. The menu is so diverse and there's lots of options. They also rotate the food options pretty regularly so that's super cool. Food is super yum anyways. I have to say it is a bit expensive but totally worth it in my opinion. The Coffee Club is a beloved casual dining chain that specializes in all-day breakfast and delightful café lunches, complemented by their signature coffee blends. As a travel blogger who adores breakfast, I can’t help but rave about the tempting options available—think eggs, crispy bacon, and zesty tomato relish served on gluten-free bread. However, navigating the menu can be a bit tricky; it’s essential for cafes to clearly indicate gluten-free choices to cater to those with dietary restrictions.
Let me tell you…. Breakfast it’s my favourite meal of the day, I would eat eggs, gluten free bread, bacon and tomato relish all day long…: we started badly from reading the menu, it’s quite difficult to understand when you read “lightly gluten” seriously you either cater gluten free bread or not, if one owns a cafe at a large shopping centre the least you can do it’s provide gluten free alternatives for coeliacs. Honestly this was the most boring, tasteless breakfast I’ve ever had, miniature toasted slices of bread, my poached eggs were almost hard, bacon was too crispy and the tomato relish was the worst if you cannot make a decent relish it becomes a tomato sauce. I also ordered black tea, since there was no sugar available on the table I asked one of the waitress’s not knowing she the sugar police, she gave me one little sachet of sugar and when I requested more she returned with one more, as I have a big pot of tea I had to get up and bring sugar by myself. Honestly for the price and the poor service I would never eat here again.

Ham and cheese croissant … where is the cheese? 1/2a piece of sliced cheese? Had finished the coffee before the food even came out. Not even busy yet. What happened to quality and old time service? Happy to pay for good food and good service. Won’t be back.

Went on a weekday. While the servers were really kind, I was given the wrong meal (completely different order). By the time the kitchen made my meal, the rest of the table had already finished eating. We ordered traditional lemonade. However, it tasted like sprite with lemon in it. Plus they served it in a plastic cup although we were dining in. So much for being environmentally friendly. Not a horrible experience but definitely better options near by. Would highly recommend they improve how their food and drinks are served.

Terrible.. in the morning I ordered tiramisu cake at this cafe and unfortunately found a small piece of plastic while eating it. At first, I thought it was just something hard, but upon closer inspection, I realized it was plastic. I’m really disappointed, and it raises concerns about safety. I was looking forward to enjoying a delicious dessert, so this experience was quite upsetting. I hope you can pay more attention to food quality and safety in the future.

It’s a nice location, the service I’ve experienced has been consistently adequate and they’re nice. It’s pretty expensive but a nice spot to meet with friends for a coffee once in a while, I enjoy the view from above too

Unfortunately, this was a terrible place for lunch. Here’s why: Customer Service: The staff at the front were more focused on chatting than assisting customers. They walked past us multiple times without even making eye contact Excessive Wait: We waited over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. Misleading Menu: The menu photos were completely deceptive. What we received looked nothing like what was advertised. When we asked about the missing mango in our dish, the staff claimed it was “in the sauce.” After requesting fresh mango, the girl reluctantly brought out a tiny amount and dropped it on the table without saying a word. It’s not even fresh cut fruit but canned fruit. Ridiculous.
Tina H — Google review
There was so much wrong with my order. Not only was it cold and poorly presented, they got one of the dishes completely wrong, giving md the regular benedict instead of the B.L.A.T benedict i payed for, and forgot to add the hashbrown I payed extra for. I also found a dark wavy/curly hair in my food between pieces of bacon. I myself work in a kitchen. It's not that hard to get good quality food out correctly, and it's especially easy to not get hair in customers food.

$7.55 down the drain. Had a very bad experience, yeah ordered a croissant. Asked the girl if they had a fresh warm croissant she said yes afterwards she served me a croissant, which the chef opened the croissant from a sandwich remove the sandwich and serve me the cold croissant. Not only that was not what I asked but it was cut opened and cold from maybe previous day that was sitting there.

Billy's Lounge is a delightful spot that offers a variety of delicious dishes perfect for any time of day. During a recent visit, I savored the pumpkin chicken salad, which was wonderfully balanced with tender chicken and moist couscous, complemented by flavorful seeds and fruits. The pumpkin added just the right touch without losing its integrity even after being taken away. My friend enjoyed the ginger porridge loaded with fresh fruit, while I also tried their fantastic coffee.
Came to Billy’s Lounge with my mum this week mid-shopping to have a little coffee/brunch. My mum ordered the corn fritters on my behalf and requested for this to be less oily as I had just come out of a gallbladder surgery last week. Staff (manager? Should’ve asked for his name!) was incredibly understanding and went above and beyond to make sure my fritters were made pan fried with less oil instead of deep fried like usual, I even got a lil bowl of cheese courtesy of the chef. I felt unexpectedly spoilt and the meal was delicious, especially after having to stay on a low-fat diet all month. Thank you for the attentiveness and empathy 😊

Pumpkin chicken salad was amazing. Just the right amount of chicken, the cous cous was perfectly moist and had enough seeds/fruits to give it a nice flavour, and the pumpkin was well proportioned and still had good integrity even though I got it take away and didn't have a chance to eat it for nearly an hour. Fetta was a nice touch as well. Pumpkin chicken risotto was also great, and my friend had the ginger porridge with a great amount of fruit. Coffee was very good. The whole Cafe was busy, staff were friendly. But the food was a standout

We had breakfast Saturday morning, as I was still hungry I ordered one additional slice of gluten free bread. Hope you're sitting down while reading this... $9! NINE DOLLARS! That was on its own, no additional condiments i.e butter etc. In context, 14 slices is normal for a gluten free loaf which costs $9-$12 in a supermarket. This cafe is onselling the same for $126. If that is not price gouging customers I don't know what is. No excuse or reason to be charging $9 for a slice of bread. None. Disgusting.

My daughter and I sat down to have lunch here today. The menu did state gluten free option and also LG (Low Gluten) I understand that there is always the possibility of cross contamination. I informed the waitress that I was Coeliac. I asked about the beef thai salad. The response I got we get the meat from outside is that ok. I said well if the meat is raw then cooked here it should be ok as long as you don't put gluten in it. Then she said I can put the sauce on the side. Is the sauce gluten free? Every question was a problem the kitchen had no idea at all. What would they do with people who are anaphylaxis ? You seriously need education in food allegeries and how to handle this. We had ordered but after all this we asked for a refund and walked out. Education please.

Ordered the steak sandwich and iced chocolate when catching up with friends for lunch yesterday. The steak sandwich was quite huge, buns were soft. For small eaters, would be advisable to share it with someone. Chips were freshly cooked and crispy. The iced chocolate on the other hand was a bit of a let down. For $7.5, it came in a narrow thin tall glass. Not much of chocolate sauce in it with a small scoop of ice cream. All I could taste was like a watery milkshake with a tinge of chocolate flavour only, hence I gave only 4 stars. Staff were friendly though and there was no public holiday surcharge yesterday.

Fantastic coffee, awesome hospitality, and a wonderful vibe at Shingl in Doncaster. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and the coffee is always top-notch. It’s a great spot to catch up with friends or just enjoy a quiet break. Really worth a visit. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Visited Shingle Inn recently and was really impressed. I ordered the big breakfast and a strong coffee – both were excellent. The coffee had a nice kick to start the day, and the breakfast was hearty and well-prepared. The café itself is clean and welcoming, with great service from the staff. What really stood out was the décor – it has a warm, slightly Persian-inspired feel that gives it a unique atmosphere compared to other spots. Overall, a great place to relax, enjoy good food, and have a quality coffee. I’ll definitely be back!

Staff are so genuine and friendly. I went back a week later because I loved it so much and the lady remembered my previous order! Amazing. Also they have delicious matcha latte. They must use ceremonial grade tea. So good. If I lived in Melbourne, this would be my fave cafe.

I ordered the Goodness bowl today for lunch and paid extra for chicken (all normal and paid $25). I was disappointed to fine that the salad was a bit small but also completely dry - NO sign of dressing just dry ingredients in the bowl. When I asked for dressing, I was told that would cost $1 extra. Seriously??? A salad with no dressing isn’t normal. Sorry. The staff told me this was the ‘recipe’ and they couldn’t do anything about it despite receiving this feedback many times before. I paid the $1 but really think this is ridiculous for that price tag and today’s standards.

One of the most delightful experiences I've had at Doncaster Shopping Centre! From the moment I walked in, the warm smiles and friendly vibe from the staff made me feel genuinely welcome. The café itself has such a calming and inviting atmosphere — a perfect little spot to take a breather. The coffee was absolutely delicious, exactly what I needed to brighten my day. If you're looking for a cosy place with positive energy and great quality, I highly recommend stopping by this café. 🌿☕✨

Guests rave about the Truffle Scrambled Eggs and Mocha coffee, both of which are filling yet reasonably priced for the quality offered. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite like the Salmon Poke bowl or indulging in their vegetarian big breakfast, there's something for everyone.
Salted Caramel cafe is a cosy, gentle cafe with great food and good coffee. The staff are attentive and mindful, checking in to see if you have enjoyed your meal. My partner and I very much enjoyed their Truffle Scrambled eggs ($22ea)* and Mocha ($5ea)* coffees. Food is quite filling, and prices very affordable for the quality you are receiving here. There is undercover seating outside, and indoor seating as well. Should you be in the area, definitely check them out as I would highly recommend and will be back for the recommended pasta 🍝 *Prices at time of writing :)

Not bad, but small servings and the ingredients seemed to be just standard grocery store quality. Probably wouldn't come again. Coffee was alright.

Beautiful decor and atmosphere. Staff quickly attended to us and were very helpful in providing information to us about the food. I got the grilled chicken burger but removed the cheese. The chips on the side were average. The burger had a nice soft bun although the chicken required some excessive chewing which made the burger unbalanced with the rest of it which went down easy. It was decent but I wouldn’t order again. My friend ordered the vegetarian big breakfast. The avocado served as a cool refresher to balance the other elements of the meal. They said this dish was good but not *amazing*. For drinks we got a vanilla shake and a freshly squeezed apple and pineapple juice which were both very nice. The milkshake was practically perfect as far as vanilla milkshakes go. Overall was a nice experience but areas of the food could be improved. However I appreciate the visible love and effort put into the food. Thank you
Clare T — Google review
The staff were incredibly friendly and the portion sizes for food are quite generous and taste nice. However, the tables were of an uneven height and the bread they use for the Eggs Benedict was very hard to cut into. There was a lack of garnishes to the food, such as a lemon slice and capers for the salmon benny, and there wasn't a lot of strawberries on the pancakes, and a lack of other types of berries, as well. Despite all this, the drinks were wonderful. Would definitely recommend the hot chocolate 👍.

Had a delicious brunch here today. Best chilli scrambled eggs ever! Prices are very reasonable and the service was great. Liked the booth option, big tables and open padded seats in this relaxed, casual cafe. Lots of art on walls ( some can be purchased) but I would like to see a namesake "blue dog" painting/ mural or statue somewhere in the cafe and maybe some soft background music to create atmosphere.

The service and atmosphere were great, Alot of people but staff had it under control. I sat in and had the big fried breakfast, I was a little bit disappointed with it , I had to order the bacon as a extra as it didn't come with the meal, The eggs were ok, the sausage was is undercooked in the middle, the hashbrown was the sized to feed a small child, my plate was covered in oil and had the oil taste through the whole meal. On the bright side the orange juice was great, I definitely wouldn't call it a big meal

I came here in the middle of winter with a mate and my daughter. We had a couple of big brekkies and caught up. Coffee was pretty good: not too bitter or burnt, full bodied. Park Orchards is pretty quiet in general and Blue Dog was no exception. You could come here, spend a couple hours whiling away, lost in your own thoughts or focused on your laptop and no one would bother you. For that, I recommend it.

Great place to eat if you like to go with your dog!! Big space indoors and a little area out front. Very quiet today (monday) kid friendly as well. Very clean. Huge selection of ready to eat snacks, sweets, ice creamand bakery goods. Across from a great walking path, which is dog friendly. Highly recommend. I had a pie, and it was very good, we also had a lime milk shake and gosh that hit the spot. We sat outside in the sun, which was amazing but got a bit hot, then all of a sudden a hidden pagolla spred out to cover up. An absolute hidden gem.

We visit River View Cafe at least once a week, and our experiences have consistently been positive. The cafe tends to get quite busy on weekends, which is typical for all of Warrandyte, but we’ve never had to wait long for our food and coffee. The efficiency of their service is impressive, allowing us to enjoy our meals without much delay. One of the standout features of River View Cafe is their huge display cabinet filled with a variety of ready-made options, including sandwiches, pies, bagels, and more. It’s always a treat to browse through the selection. I particularly love their chicken focaccias; they are absolutely delicious and a must-try! Additionally, the coffee here is consistently good, making it a great spot to grab a quick caffeine fix. The staff at River View Cafe have always been friendly and welcoming - they even remember our coffee order - which adds to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. Whether we’re stopping by for breakfast or lunch, the combination of great food, friendly service, and the beautiful riverside setting makes every visit worthwhile. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great cafe in Warrandyte!

They have so many options to choose from. We tried the lamb and beef pie, spinach and lamb pita. Turmeric latte was very sweet, that I didn’t like. Ice latte was ok. It was vary busy but they were relatively quick with the service.

Nice cafe appearance, with a European feel. BUT Sadly all our 5 dishes were very bland tasting, which was both surprising and disappointing. Food Rates in the bottom 2% of 200 local reviewed cafes we have been to in the last 3 years! Poached eggs were overcooked. Shaksuka was watery, bland and tiny portion. One person was given the wrong item and when queried, they tried to say it was what she ordered, yet many of the ingredients in the burger she ordered weren't present???( And may have provided some flavour??) We did like the stylish padded open booth area at the rear but after such poor tasting and unappetizing food and average service we definitely won't be back.
Claudine F — Google review
Visited on a Sunday. Cafe was quiet, maybe 4 or 5 tables were being used. Service was prompt and helpful. Had ordered coffee within 5 minutes of sitting down. Coffee was tasty and warm enough. Ordered the smashed avo with well done poached eggs and bacon (an extra $6.50). Meal came out and while it was delicious, the eggs weren't quite poached hard, and there were also three skinny rashers of bacon (at $6.50 a pop). On a plus side, the addition of chilli to the meal was fantastic. Just wish there were a few more pieces and a little more feta All in all, a nice place with lots of potential.

The Chicken burger called Chooky was perfectly cooked. Nice coating on the outside. The chipotle mayo had a nice kick. The bun was lovely and fresh. The sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly and had a yummy salt taste. The Cauli and Chickpea Fritters were lovely. Great flavours. You could taste the cauliflower and chickpeas. Very welcoming and friendly service. Thank you Wind Chimes Cafe for looking after us.

Since the new management, the quality of food has gone down. The table had sticky stuff, I called the waitress to re-clean. She is friendly. The Cafe was empty at 12 noon. The chips were soggy, I sent them back to be rebooked. The flathead tsils were crumbed, not battered, and overcooked. The salad leaves were fresh, except for a few pieces , shown in the photo. The serve was small for $22 fish n chip. Very disappointing.

Always great coffee here! Upon reading some of the negative reviews, I just have to say: Bring a pair of headphones if you can't stand the noise. Just like in any public space, your experience can be affected if there is someone else who needs to talk loudly or share their whole life story without being asked. (Staff or customers) I find the headphones prevents me from being upset 🤪 Second-hand smoke isn't great, but the staff do try their best to find you a table inside. Tried a piece of their cheesecake last week and my daughter really liked it. So I ordered a whole cake for her birthday. Picked up this afternoon and used after dinner for celebration. Have been here numerous times on a weekly basis, however this time, it left a lot to be desired. We waited 20 minutes for coffee to arrive, which wasn't extremely hot as we ordered. Then waited another 10 minutes and food still hadn't arrived. Went up to ask for mum's cake to come out, which it eventually did, but still no toasted sandwiches. The person on the table next to us arrived 20 minutes after we did, and got his food long before we did. My toasted sandwich eventually arrived, stone cold and without the usual salad that accompanies it. My husband's gluten free toasted sandwich arrived microwaved and not toasted, the cheese wasn't even melted. Had to order another round of coffees as we'd finished ours long before the food had arrived. The person at the counter couldn't care less about their appalling food and lack of service. Will NEVER go there again

My wife and I checked out the website for this cafe the night before we came here. The Big Breakfast was advertised at $19. However when we came here the price had mysteriously jumped to $29. Clearly the management hasn’t bothered updating their website in a long time. On top of that the spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms and bacon were swimming in oil (as was my wife’s breakfast sandwich, which also had uncooked bacon in it). My flat white was burnt, and the replacement coffee was burnt as well. Service was ok, but won’t be coming back again.

I’m sorry but when I’m paying 8.50 for an iced chai it better be made with chai leaves not powder. They didn’t even make sure the powder was dissolved. Terribly sweet and I was unable to finish it. Disappointed because I saw good reviews and I deliberately walked here to get a drink. And yes I should have known better and got coffee but they included hot chocolate and chai in their summary as well so I expected it to be decent at least.

Beautiful coffee. I’m a big fan of Veneziano coffee and love their Richmond cafe. I was very excited & happy upon hearing they will be replacing coffee hit, but was met with extremely rude service by the Chinese lady who served at the cashier counter taking order. She was rude, no greeting whatsoever with an angry stone face. By taking a take away coffee order surely wouldn’t be that difficult? There are many options in Westfield when it comes to good coffee, not just Veneziano, a customer positive experience is essential in today’s extremely competitive market. I went back second and third time to get my coffee fix. Second time was pleasantly served by others, then 3rd was that Asian lady again. Same treatment, rude service. If this kind of service persist, I’m happy to spend my money elsewhere. Teddy cafe have a group of lovely front of house staff that will be my to go place to have my coffee fix. Do better Veneziano.

I typically don't give many 5-star ratings, but I truly enjoy the breakfast at Stables Provedore Cafe. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Although I am not a local, I came to try their sweet potato salad, which unfortunately was only available on the lunch menu. However, the serving person kindly asked the chef if they could make an exception, and the chef graciously allowed it. This salad is a delightful combination of delicious and nutritious ingredients.
The environment is nice, and the food is decent, but the Thai dishes aren’t very authentic. However, the drinks are absolutely delicious! The staff are super friendly, especially the young lady and the owner.

Mixed feelings about this Cafe. The old fashioned stables building within the residential estate is a unique setting. The atmosphere inside is cosy on a cold morning. However, the farmers stable (big breakfast) was quite plain, lacking flavour, just a collection of items on a plate. Thankfully, Coffee lifted the experience.

Topped with vibrant cherry tomatoes, crumbled feta (or tangy goat’s cheese if you’re feeling adventurous), a sprinkle of fresh herbs, and a drizzle of olive oil—it’s a flavor bomb in every bite. The dish is artfully arranged and utterly delicious. Whether you pair it with their signature flat white or a sparkling juice, the Paddock Smash delivers on taste and presentation every time. It’s a must-order for any brunch lover, and once you try it, you’ll be wondering why you didn’t discover it sooner!

Nice spot within the suburbs and amongst the doncaster apartment buildings - food is definitely on level with the standard for brunch in Melbourne. Good variety of options on the menu. I liked my dish but it didn't feel balanced from a flavour perspective.

Good coffee, never tried the food. It's nice inside and the staff are friendly and fast. Very clean place in a good location near playgrounds.

I’ve been to Stables a few times and the coffee has been consistently good. However, the service has been a large let down over these visits. Most recently, we waited close to an hour for our food, and our coffees also took quite a while to arrive. It was difficult to get the attention of staff, who seemed understandably busy but quite focused on individual tasks. What would have really improved the experience is some proactive communication. Even a quick check-in to let us know they were really busy and that wait times might be longer than usual would have made a big difference.

I enjoyed the Stablehand burger at Stables Provedore on the weekend for brunch. Tender patty, tasty, and served on a soft charcoal bun with crunchy chips. Lovely setting and laid back vibe made it a great relaxing lunch spot. Great coffees too. I'd go back happily!

A hidden gem brought to my attention by a friend, which would have been easily missed without her guidance. Nestled within a heritage building, it seamlessly blends the charm of vintage aesthetics. Witnessing the transformation from a stable in 1886 to the surrounding golf course and now this charming cafe adds to its historical allure. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is both vibrant and pleasing. Be warned, though – it can get quite crowded on weekends, highly recommend making a reservation in advance. This cafe has since become my go-to spot for brunch, and below are some standout items. Drinks: 1. Osmanthus Blend Coffee: This latte boasts a delicate osmanthus fragrance that beautifully complements the rich coffee flavor. 2. Lychee Iced Tea: use Earl Grey tea as the base, this drink is elevated with osmanthus honey, lychee juice, and a creamy foam. The nuanced layers of tea aroma and lychee sweetness make it a refreshing choice. Food: 1. Pad Thai: my favorite dish. The Pad Thai here is a delightful blend of unique Thai spices and flavors. It's light and refreshing, avoiding the typical oiliness associated with traditional Pad Thai. The chef's homemade sauce adds a perfect finishing touch. 2. Feed Bowl: Sushi rice paired with a poached egg, edamame, wakame, avocado, and wasabi citrus dressing, topped with fried shallots and nori. We opted for salmon, I was pleased with taste. The freshness of the ingredients reflects the careful selection. 3. Tacos (with Battered flathead):Crispy battered flathead accompanied by rich avocado and tangy pickled red cabbage. The batter on the flathead is nice and crispy, and I believe it would be even more enjoyable if the tacos had a crunchy shell rather than a soft one. P.S. My friend mentioned that the lavender outside is stunning during its bloom season. Looking forward to experiencing it in the next lavender season❤️

Nestled in a modern setting, Cafe 130 is a delightful gem that promises an exceptional coffee experience. The rich and dark brews here are nothing short of extraordinary, often outshining even the more renowned cafes nearby. The menu is equally enticing, featuring mouthwatering descriptions that will have you salivating before your meal arrives.
We just moved to the area and decided to check this place out on Father's Day. Despite not having a booking and the place being full, the Italian guy running the venue was able to squeeze my family (4 people) in between the reservations. We ended up having great coffee and food and outstanding service. We'll definitely be back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the best café experiences you can find! Café 130 is hands-down a standout spot for breakfast and brunch. Tony and Chico have created something special here — every dish feels made with care, passion, and real love for good food. The vibe is warm and welcoming, the service is always on point, and the atmosphere has that perfect balance between cozy and classy. Whether it’s their perfectly brewed coffee, their fresh and flavorful breakfast plates, or the creative brunch options, everything here hits the mark. You can taste the effort and pride behind every meal. Tony and Chico don’t just run a café — they’ve built a place where people feel at home. If you want good energy, great food, and genuine people, Café 130 is the spot.

Good food. The only problem we had was the staff were eager to leave due to closing and we were really rushed to leave at the end of it. If you close at say 2 you should really account for 30 more min for people to finish up.
Mahdi D — Google review
Very disappointing visit to Café 130. I was almost at the front of the queue when a waiter told me to take a seat for table service. After waiting quite a while, the same waiter came back and told me to go back to the counter and line up again; so I ended up right at the end of the queue! I paid $30 for food and breakfast. Half way through, I asked for an extra slice of sourdough. The owner personally came to my table, interrupted my meal, and made me walk to the counter to pay first — $9 for one slice of bread. Most cafés would include this or charge a small amount, or at least ask you to pay when you want to leave! The owner was openly rude to both customers and staff, creating a very unpleasant atmosphere. It feels like they don’t care about customer satisfaction at all. Definitely not a place I’d return to.
Ehsan Y — Google review
Friendly little place. The food was tasty and the serving size was generous at reasonable prices. However the tables were not clean and the toilet was messy. The lighting could be brighter. The menu sheets could be better presented on good quality paper or laminated rather than crumply soft paper which looked rather unprofessional in my opinion.

Fantastic spot for a great coffee and a tasty, affordable meal. The guys here are always welcoming and friendly — just a good honest café that gets it right every time. Highly recommended!
Nick C — Google review
Real score 3.7. The cafe looks pretty good. It’s presented in a good modern style. The coffee here was unexpectedly exceptional. Dark, rich and luscious. It’s just as you’d want a strong coffee to be. It was delicious. And, surprisingly, it was better coffee than that of its feted nearby neighbour a bit down the road, Down the Rabbit Hole. The menu looked good here as well. Someone’s good on descriptions. I started salivating on reading a couple of things listed on the menu. The table water wasn’t cold though. A small thing, granted, but one that matters to me. Chilling table water shows care and class I reckon. And it was beautifully chilled at the Rabbit place. Service was speedy, efficient and very polite at Si. It seemed like a really good place and well worth a return visit.

Lovely, local patisserie serving a vast variety of baked delights. My friends and I visited after lunch and got mixed boxes of cakes to take home and sample and they were all delicious 😋. At the moment, gelato is 1/2 price.

I ordered the peaches from Dolce Mio — the classic Italian dessert — and they were absolutely incredible! Easily the best I’ve ever had. They were soaked in just the right amount of liquor, perfectly balanced, and the custard filling was so rich and creamy it melted in my mouth. You can tell these are made with real care and tradition. A true taste of Italy — Dolce Mio has completely won me over!

Just had the best gelato from Dolce Mio—absolutely delicious! Every bite was smooth, rich, and full of flavor. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. My friend is dairy-free and had the lemon sorbet, and he couldn’t stop raving about it—said it was perfectly refreshing and just the right balance of tart and sweet. So glad we stopped by. Can’t wait to come back when I visit Melbourne again!

Ordered an 8-inch continental cake from Dolce Mio and it was amazing! The sponge was super moist, and I really loved the Strega flavor—so good. Nestled in the heart of Doncaster, Lovey Patisserie Cafe is a delightful haven for dessert lovers and collectors alike. This charming cafe seamlessly blends a cake shop with a showcase of unique collectibles, creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages guests to linger. The selection of cakes is nothing short of extraordinary; one standout is the Fresh Grape Lime Jasmine cake, which offers an exquisite combination of fragrant jasmine and refreshing grape flavors, complemented by a satisfying crunch.
Lovey Patisserie Cafe is a charming little spot, perfect for those with a sweet tooth. They offer a delightful selection of cakes and drinks, making it a great place to indulge in a treat. While I personally prefer my coffee elsewhere, their other drink options are quite enjoyable, and I always look forward to trying something new. I especially like that the atmosphere is cozy and quiet, so you can really unwind or focus. That said, the prices are a bit on the higher side, so it's not the most budget-friendly option. However, the quality of the cakes and drinks makes it feel worth the splurge now and then. For those into collectibles, Lovey also sells those blind boxes and other collectable toys, adding a fun, quirky element to your visit.

One of the best local Cafes I have been to in a while! Perfect place to catch up, study and have delicious desserts. It’s been a while a whisked matcha has lived up to my standards. Highly recommend the early grey matcha 👍🏼, perfectly sweet and the earl grey is moderately strong. The strawberry matcha is nice for those who don’t like sweet syrup, we found it slightly sour. Their matcha umami is more on the earthy side. Good variety of cakes to select, shortcake/cheesecake/swiss rolls. We tried mandarin Swiss roll and Pandan Coconut cheesecake. The Swiss roll had a chewy spongy texture, on the sweeter side. I highly recommend the Pandan cheesecake 👍🏼 I thought the pandan would taste weak, but it was vibrant and paired nicely with the coconut cream. Overall, loved their concept of able to browse blind boxes and enjoy their drinks. Would definitely come back 💋

I always enjoy visiting this café and often order their cakes for special occasions. Their Matcha is consistently excellent — I make sure to have one each time I visit, whether I’m dining in or collecting an order. The staff are energetic and welcoming (perhaps inspired by all the Bearbricks on display!). On one occasion, my cake order wasn’t up to their usual standard, but the team responded promptly and professionally, explaining what had happened and offering a replacement or refund. Great customer service and a lovely atmosphere overall.

I came to Lovely Passterie Cafe Doncaster to pickup a birthday cake for my mom and the store and the cake went beyond my expectations! When we arrived it was nighttime so everything was getting prepped for closing but the store was absolutely beautiful and the range of cakes offered is amazing. Although it is difficult to access, as we had some trouble going through the lift and going back to the car park, I do hope to see them in Westfield Doncaster or another accessible location. I ordered the 6 inch Fresh Seasonal Mixed Fruit Shortcake and it was absolutely delicious, it had the taste of fresh fruit with not an overloading of cream which is great! I would 100% recommend this place as a cafe to go to in the Melbourne Area!
Rahmana B — Google review
Lovey Patisserie Cafe has really good quality matcha and is freshly hand whisked! The colour is vibrant and the taste is strong and creamy! If you like your strawberry matcha not too sweet, then you will like the one here. However, I found the strawberry slightly sour which didn’t blend in very well with the matcha. The mandarin Swiss roll was not too sweet and the mandarin was refreshing, however the cake itself wasn’t the softest or moistest. Their interior is also super cute and good for taking photos! They also have many rare blind boxes! This is my second time visiting and I would come again!
Wendy L — Google review
Recently ordered this beautiful 4 inch cake for my Friend. The entire online ordering process was very simple and stress-free. The taste of the jasmine cream is amazing and the cake itself is not too sweet. I will say the melon was slightly unripe so not too sweet and hard to bite, but overall Im satisfied.
Louise N — Google review
The cake looked amazing and we were looking forward to it however the cream was heavy and thick, unpleasant texture that affected the entire cake. Between 6 people we barely ate a quarter of it. Given that I paid premium prices I expected it to be at the very least decent. Not sure if this is standard for their cakes

Hong Kong Dim Sum is a small, no-frills place that almost looks like a cafeteria. It offers delicious congee and a variety of dim sum options. The food quality and portion sizes are impressive, with crispy Chinese doughnuts being a standout. The restaurant also offers frozen items to take home. Customers have been pleasantly surprised by the newish and clean ambiance of the place, as well as the friendly service team.
Wow 😮 I'm impressed, beautiful yum cha !! Lovely & fresh, good flavors. We sat upstairs & a young lady 👩 was looking after us. So helpful with our order & she was sweating running up & down those stairs. We also bought frozen dumplings to take home. We’ll definitely be back.

Booking is essential though not necessary. The ordering is done via a QR code, with a rather extensive menu and reasonably priced. We were quite happy with the congee, and assortment of dim sums. The noodles could have been better as I felt it was rushed and hastily prepared. Tea is complimentary & take away containers are available with a charge. Parking is relatively easy and service fast and efficient.

weekday lunch Atmosphere and service - Warm greeting by lady, promptly shown to table and shown how to order and given hot tea. Clean environment and quiet/calm atmosphere. Food - Century egg and pork Congee - Pipping hot, fresh spring onion and crunchy dough mixed in. Good amount of century egg and pork. Large bowl which can feed 2 ppl. Savoury umami, just the right amount of salt. Good congee consistency, not too thick or runny, just right. Steamed blackbean pork ribs. Lots of sauce, ribs have lots of juicy, tender meat. Sauce on the sweeter side, need a little more blackbean for the umami pop. Egg tart- Moist with buttery flaky pastry. Just the right amount of sweetness and crunch. Authentic Dimsum experience.

Came here many times for their delicious dim sums. There are seats located both downstairs and upstairs. Service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Easy to order food through Scan & Order, and the food delivered pretty quickly. The counter lady handed out old used pokemon card, instead of a new one, to kids. Wish they could hand out a new card or a lolly instead.

Visited this place in Doncaster East for the first time and absolutely went nuts with it. Was pleasantly surprised - it’s newish , clean , and most of all the food was delicious and palatable . We ordered the beef balls, siu mai, chicken feet, bean curd roll, century egg congee , chicken pie as well as shark fin dumplings — It was so good that we also bought some frozen ones to take away. The entire service team in the restaurant was friendly and personable . And guess what- it’s a family friendly place too—they have got some toys, activity coloring sheet for young kids to keep toddlers occupied while parents enjoy their food . Well done Andrew and team! We will be back again. Sorry I forgot to take some photos — too excited with the food that we forgot to take the rest of the photos

Was craving for congee so went here and whilst it is a small, no frills place that almost look like a cafeteria, they have upstairs too since there is only one big table on ground floor, and another one outside. You have to write down what to order. When the foods came, I was blown away by the quality. Definitely the crispiest Chinese Doughnut I ever had. No complain for other foods too, they all are very good. You can also take home the frozen stuff. It was such a gem, will definitely come back. Price is also reasonable. Pork ribs was nice too.
Choc P — Google review
Dec 2023 Update: recent visit to the shop and customer service has declined, at the same time the quality of the food has also declined. Some dishes were too salty and some the taste was not quite right. Provided some feedback so hopefully they can adjust accordingly. Wide variety of frozen dim sum to take home and cook. Nice bright environment to dine in. The food is good quality and tastes good. It's not the best I've had, but with soaring prices at yum cha places this is a great alternative. The sitting area is not very big and it's not recommended for large groups or families as there are only 3 small tables that can seat 2-4 people. Prices are not the cheapest but it's only slightly more expensive than other places. Overall it's very good and very friendly staff. I would come again without the kids to dine in but this is now my go to place for take away dim sum. 👍

Switch & Sip Cafe, located in Templestowe, Melbourne, is a charming breakfast bar with a unique history - it's situated where the old switchboard used to be. The cafe offers delicious coffee and an impressive food selection. Whether you're looking for a quick takeaway sandwich or want to dine in and enjoy the cozy atmosphere, this place has got you covered. Their signature Turmeric Latte comes highly recommended.
We had a wonderful experience at Switch & Sip Café. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious brunch and light meal options, and everything was fresh and flavorful. What makes this café stand out is how family-friendly it is — there’s even a kids’ play area that kept the little ones happy while we enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for parents with children. To our surprise, the owner also gave us a lovely 3D-printed gift after our meal, which made the visit feel extra special. Highly recommended for families looking for both good food and a fun, thoughtful experience.

Great set up for the kids, dire food (well the calamari at least). We ordered salt and pepper calamari to start thinking we would order more food later and it was so horrible we didn’t order anything else. Admittedly the chicken and waffles I saw on someone else’s table look very appealing and I was definitely impressed by the child friendly vibes but judging on the food we had it was a poor experience

My parent group friends and I discovered Switch and Sip Cafe while I was looking for a First Birthday Party venue. My family and I sat for lunch to check the place out and were really impressed with the food and relaxed atmosphere. We attended a couple of parent group play dates afterwards and two other friends also decided to host their 1st Birthday's. The space is child oriented, which we loved, as there aren't many Cafes like this around that aren't a play centre. No entry fee, heaps of toys for all ages, indoor/outdoor play spaces, and a decent menu/coffee! Ample street parking a bonus. The owners, Ryan and Alex, are so friendly, detail oriented in their planning for our occasion, and made the process seamless. Alex even gave my daughter a little hand made gift at the end of the evening, which was incredibly thoughtful and sweet! I highly recommend this Cafe for both easy play dates and for special events. The food has always been spot on when we've visited and the catering menu is extensive and well priced. Definitely check it out!

This cafe is fantastic for parents and young children. They have a large and easily visible indoor play area for kids 0-5 years old.
