Coffee super good ! Very smooth and silky ~ staff was friendly and welcoming, but the food took too long and it was basic.

Customer service was impeccable and each customer was welcomed warmly. The coffee was excellent in taste and temperature. Definitely 5 ⭐️ for the food. The quantity, taste and presentation was outstanding. Highly recommend a meal, or just the coffee.

Friendly, kind, atmosphere, with a big heart. We were greeted at the door as old friends would be, quickly seated and provided with water, reading material and menu's. The breakfast tacos are a must; fresh ingredients, vibrant colours and fantastic flavour profile will have you begging for more. Easily the best coffee in town regardless if you sit in or take-away, (or if you're me, both). My biggest take away from this place was how honest and kind the owner was. We chatted while waiting for my coffee to go, it's easy to see why this place is always so busy. Integrity is not something that can be taught but, it's easy to see this woman has it in spades. We can't wait to return for the tacos, and to see them continue to flourish.

LOVE!!!!!! The food really stood out. 9am in the morning but we gobbled every bit down. The breakfast tacos had layers of flavour and tons of ingredients that came together so well you may struggle to pinpoint what ingredients you're even eating in a bite. Eggs ben was possibly the best ive had in my memory and may have restored my faith in eggs ben.

Great little cafe! Nice variety on the menu and good coffee! Went back the next morning for a take away coffee and croissant and was delighted, I think one of the best coffee’s I’ve had. They were all too happy to add tomato to my ham and chees croissant. Got in the road nice and happy!

We had breakfast and coffees, husband had eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce had split before could eat it and the ham was very thin and cold, but the thick cut bread was great and overall still tasted good. I had scrambled eggs on toast and the bread was delicious and eggs nice and fluffy, smashed avocado was quite brown so not the freshest avocado. But overall an ok meal.

Had dinner here after exploring Warrnambool. Ooooo, I got to admit, I simply loveeee the Turkish bread! It was just soooo delicious. Soft, crunchy and with the butter, yummylicous and when add with cheese, mouth watering! 😋 Pumpkin soup was soooo smooth. Ribeye was perfectly cooked and loved every single bite. Zucchini Pasta was flavoursome for a vegetarian dish. Barramundi was delicately cooked and was delicious. Dessert was light and fulfilling. Our thanks to the Chef, his team, to the bartender, to the rest of waiter/waitress and to the Restaurant Manager. Thank you so much! Keep the amazing work going on! 💪❤️😍

CHICKEN THIGHS WERE AMAZING the staff (especially Bronwen) there were extremely nice and friendly, and the motel and restaurant business itself has been run by a few loyal, multi-skilled staff for more than a decade. the food there was amazing and never failed to impress me. we stayed at the motel for 3 nights, and i can confidently say that breakfast and dinner are always on point there. lovely local atmosphere

This is the second time we have stayed at this beautiful accommodation and the hospitality exceeds many 5* hotels. Your initial contact with Raj and not to mention the kind warm service from all who work at the Clovelly Restaurant. From Breakfast to Dinner we couldn’t be more impressed. Everything was perfect. During COVID, the setup was rearranged and looks clean and uncluttered - minimalism at its best - very COVID safe. I dined here a few times while staying in Warrnambool. I was informed that they just changed their menu, and any feedback was appreciated. The Chefs Johnny and Bryce, accompanied by apprentice chef Mario will surprise you with their plating, food combinations and tasty selections. The entrees/firsts/starters - were enough to keep me pleasantly happy for most of my stay. Prices varied from $10 - $16, which is very reasonable; servings are on the generous side. Recommendations: [Favs - 2, 4 & 6] 1. Garlic Cheese Sourdough - reminded me of a toastie. It goes great with beer! 2. Charcuterie Board - not boring, or same as others you receive - the beetroot chutney and chicken pate were the standouts. The cured meats - some not to my liking, but overall nice. The dried fruits went well with the chutney and dip - especially the apple. 3. Lamb Cutlets - interesting, modern presentation, with roasted cherry tomatoes, minted yoghurt and dukkah. Cutlets cooked to perfection. 4. Stuffed Mushrooms - yummy goodness - beetroot chutney, roasted pumpkin, garlic, pine nuts, thyme and spinach. [Perfect meal the night before driving long distances - not heavy]. 5. Bao Buns - soft buns, not dry, thinly sliced pork belly [easier to bite], sticky sauce and amply dressed slaw - went well with the mushrooms [no.4] and a beer. 6. Seared Scallops - tried as a main, but this version was better - sweet potato mash, asparagus spears with small pieces of crunchy onion, feta and lime dressing. This was so tasty and my meal of the Warrnambool trip. Honourable mentions - the pannacotta - give it it a try - perfect wobble accompanied with cream, but not sure about the sugar shard...Flavours change - be surprised! The churros were good, but the pannacotta was better. Book a table [highly recommended, as they were booked out when I was there] and try and get the window seat to watch the incredible sunsets. It is one of the best 'on-the-road dining experiences I have had in a while. YUM!

Classic little restaurant right on the corner, also a part of Best Western here in Warrnambool, Australia. Good service, scrumptious fodder, adequately priced. Across the street from the Visitors Center so it’s impossible to miss. Must try are the ribs!

Stayed in a room here and went to dinner in the restaurant. The restaurant can stand on its own with great food and staff that are friendly and helpful. We had Lamb backstrap and a Ribeye. Lamb backstrap was cooked perfectly with lots of flavour. Large piece of lamb that is sure to fill anyone! The Ribeye (450g) was huge and was cooked exactly the way requested. Lovely char flavour with great crust, tender quality meat! The spuds that came with steak were sensational! Next time we are in Warrnambool we will not hesitate in going here for dinner again!

Beautiful place with a great menu. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was enjoyable, but it was quite expensive for the portion size, and all of the dishes were a little on the cold side. Other than that, it was very good. I probably wouldn't go again but if those things don't bother you, then you'll love it.

Extremely disappointed!!! Lunch with my daughter. I ordered flake and chips she ordered double cheeseburger with a side of chips. Meals were average. Chips were almost non existent. See photos. It looked like they were at the bottom of the chip barrel and split what was left between us, instead of cooking more. Photo 2: lifted fish to look for chips. Photo 3: daughter had just picked up burger. Only when we went to pay did we read on a small sign stuck to the counter that we had to pay an extra 15% due to it being a public holiday (they never verbally mentioned this at any stage before ordering, while ordering or at checkout). 😡😡

Amazing food and lovely service. The fish was fresh and perfectly battered. The burger was just delicious and so was the day breakfast. Would certainly come back again.

Had my breakfast here during my visit to Warrnambool, Victoria, and it was such a great experience! I ordered pancakes, a milkshake, and one battered fish — everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavour. 😋 The place has plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, with options at the front and back. Inside, the vintage vibes really stood out — the peeling walls actually add to the aesthetic, giving it a cozy, nostalgic charm. A lovely spot to relax and enjoy a meal!

Service and people there were so nice, and hats off to Bryan in the kitchen, food was amazing and the time wait wasn’t too long but was worth the overall time wait. And as for the restaurant, was very cozy and calm with good music in the dining area

Fishtales was a fabulous find for a meal at any time of the day. Cooked to perfection, big country serves, happy staff, tables outside, inside and further inside. But a suggestion to the owner, make it more appealing to the passing trade. Add a big “Cafe” sign to the front door and/or windows and do something to the empty front space, left of the front door. Maybe add a pretty table and chairs there but definitely add “Cafe” to that window. Otherwise, most definitely recommend for the food, staff and atmosphere.

Great Cafe, clean with indoor, rear courtyard and front footpath tables (which is a good pet friendly option). Service was fast & friendly, food (fish) cooked to perfection. Chips were well drained and golden brown in a side serve bowl. Beaut iced coffee and coke was in a glass bottle!! Only get plastic in NSW. Really reasonable prices - would recommend. We stopped on our way through while touring the great ocean road. The food selection is massive and the staff is happy to help you navigate it. We got our food fast and everything tasted great. The restaurant is really clean and so were the bathrooms.

A sandwich to ruin a good shirt for. Unfortunately for me, during my experience here at Rough Diamond, I managed to destroy a particular nice shirt while destroying a ham, cheese & pickle toasty. It was the cheese oil and pickle juice that was leaking from wrapper. I was so indulged in the toasty and didn't realise until it was too late. 😥 A particular popular and busy little sandwich shop, it may be an expensive sandwich but worth a go. No comments on the coffee. There was nothing bad about it, but nothing stood out from the rest.

Place is a tad hidden, but what a find! Coffee was great, perfect arabica notes) I didn't experience any negative thing about coffee or service like some people have mentioned. All in all during my stay in Warrnambool, this was the best coffee. Is rent high in Warrnambool?? Most of the cafés are rather on the pricier side which is all I can fault. This coffee was worth every dollar.

Great coffee but oh man, their breakfast sandwiches? So damned good. Broke my holiday rule of not going to the same place twice in a row because of how good the Bacon and Egg Roll was. Highly recommended.

Thank you to the team at Rough Diamond for a great breakky and amazing coffee two days in a row! We stopped in during our road trip and can say that the ham & pickle toastie is probably the best we've had anywhere - we ended up returning the next morning again before moving onto the next town. The gentleman in the kitchen was really nice and had a quick chat with us in passing on our way out. Not something you usually experience in cafes. Thank you for a memorable cafe experience! :)

They use quality suppliers like @smallbatchroast, @schulzorganicdairy and @morkchocolate, with speciality roasters from time to time. It still gives off vibes from its previous 1970’s office life. The menu is uncomplicate and limited, yet satisfying, with a range of sandwiches and toasts which they use the most perfect bread for. Keep an eye on their socials for specials they may be having. 👀 The Grilled Cheese was delicious, extra tasty and gooey with the addition of garlic bechemel. The Ham Cheese and Pickles had a good hit of mustard and another safe option. 🥪 A great option in town and if I was local I’d pop past often. Home style food but elevated. Good coffee, good chai! ⭐️ 4/5 💸 $$

The coffee was absolutely fantastic, amazing taste and served at the perfect temperature. Easily a 5 star cup that would bring me back any day. The Egg Benedict was quite ordinary. It lacked flavour and felt like minimal effort went into it. Honestly, a home-cooked version might’ve tasted better. The Chili Bagel had potential, but the presentation was disappointing. The greens on top looked old and didn’t do the dish any favours. Taste-wise, it was okay, but not memorable. Great spot for coffee, but the kitchen could definitely step up its game. Thanks

Toto Café in Warrnambool really surprised me in the best way. I wasn’t expecting much when I walked in, but the moment I sat down, I could tell this place had something special. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, not pretentious or rushed. Just good energy, friendly people, and a space that makes you want to take your time. I ordered the avocado toast and… wow. It was simple but done perfectly. You can tell they care about quality, the bread was fresh and crunchy, the avo was creamy with just the right seasoning, and there were little touches that made it feel thoughtful, not just thrown on a plate. And the coffee? I’m Italian and that means I’m annoyingly picky when it comes to coffee. But theirs was genuinely great. Smooth, full-bodied, and balanced. No bitterness, no burnt taste, just a really good cup. I actually finished it slowly because I didn’t want it to end. It’s the kind of place where you feel taken care of, even if you’re just passing through. I left feeling full, relaxed, and a bit more grounded than when I walked in. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area , or even going a little out of your way to make sure you don’t miss it.

The food was really so good specially the hot coffee it was so nice. The staff were really friendly and accommodating and lastly the place is really beautiful and giving aesthetic vibes.

Disappointing, bitter coffee, tasted like almost burnt. As a first time visitor in town, I was shocked at how bad it was. Added some sugar but it only made it worse. Instant coffee taste better than this. Brekky roll bread was dry, whatever relish inside was completely insufficient and only in the middle, chips crispy but unsalted with a random squirt of sauce on top. The pork belly was the only saving grace here. Service was quick, as there were only 2 of us. Atmosphere was quite loud and chatty but it is expected of a busy brunch place. It gets quite crowded with people ordering takeaway or lining up to pay. We have people waiting right by our table for orders. There are definitely better brunch cafes around town eg. Bohemia cafe. For the price we pay and food quality, don’t think it’s worth coming back.

My husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying yesterday's breakfast at Pavilion Café & Bar, and it was nothing short of outstanding. I had the avocado toast paired with a chai latte, and my husband had eggs Benedict; both were absolutely delicious—honestly worthy of a Michelin star. The presentation, flavours, and quality were all top-tier. The café itself was spotless, and the atmosphere was incredibly inviting. The view is simply to die for—easily one of the most scenic breakfast spots we've experienced. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. Service was quick and efficient, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for exceptional food, stunning views, and a truly memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

The Pavilion is a Warrnambool Icon, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the view no matter the weather. We just happened to chance a pod of dolphins in the bay which was amazing. Sorry no photos of the dolphins. Atmosphere and service was great, didn’t have a meal but the bowl of chips were great. A nice aioli or side sauce other than just tomato would have been great. Worth a coffee stop or lunch if you’re in the area. They don’t do a dinner service, only breakfast and lunch.

Came here for a breakfast on Wednesday morning. Had ‘The Pavilion’, a delicious and large breakfast meal with sourdough toast, poached eggs, bacon, mushrooms, pork sausage and tomato. Reasonably priced and the view was amazing from the seat. The ocean was a beautiful visual accompaniment to a culinary experience of a lifetime. Although, I would have preferred a window view down to the civic green as this is the main attraction of the Warrnambool area. Great place to propose, eat unhealthy amounts of bacon or share a classic yarn with the locals.

Had dinner here recently while in Warrnambool and the staff were very friendly, seating us inside. We ordered the Pan Seared Scallops, Cauliflower Rice and Prosciutto as an entree, the King Prawn Fettuccine and the Market Fish (Barramundi) with Beetroot Blanc - Potato & Beetroot Rosti, Cauliflower Rice and Spinach. The restaurant itself was extremely quiet inside (with no music playing at all) and the tables had paper table cloths so the atmosphere felt odd and a bit awkward for such a restaurant. So after we shared the entree we switched tables to outside and it was a much more pleasant experience. By this stage the mains had arrived and they were absolutely delicious! Amazing produce used and the unique pairing of ingredients shows you that the chef here knows their stuff. Would definitely recommend this restaurant but maybe grab a table outdoors if you can!

Everything was amazing! The scotch steak was definitely a favourite. We would come back here for the scotch alone, once we’re back in the area. The service was friendly and attentive.

The best meal we had in Warrnambool with a spectacular view and excellent service. I can't recommend Proudfoot's Boathouse highly enough. The seafood chowder was amazing and we really appreciated the friendly service and attention to detail.

Stopped in for lunch after the cold shoulder from my usual stop. Best decision i ever made. Had the garlic bread first then the scollops with burnt butter sauce and cauliflower puree. And omg melt in ur mouth scollops. Wonderful customer service, so polite and considerate of my needs. I can’t wait to drop in to try other stuff on the menu. Thanks for an awesome experience. Was not a huge fan of the dessert I ordered but personal taste. Lovely warm day out on the deck. So relaxing.

Spectacular views of the Hopkins river, sit outside if you can! The food was excellent : the gnocchi and the fish, I'd drive up there from Melbourne just to eat there and soak in the views! The service was great too, and they have a good Merlot. I certainly recommend this place!

Went for a fantastic meal, and got great service. The owner was great with the kids, super flexible, and we had a great time Whilst the BBQ Parma was on the smaller side, they had great portion sizes for the gnocchi, barramundi pie and sticky date pudding. Everything tasted fantastic and the staff made it an easy time.

Stopped in for a quiet, solo lunch today. I was simply looking for somewhere with decent food and cold beer - I was not disappointed. As soon as I walked in, I received a warm and friendly greeting. Ordered the Wagu Sandwich and it was brilliant! Perfectly cooked, medium rare steak (you dan choose med well), a light and fluffy, toasted Turkish roll and condiments that didn't overpower the steak flavour. Service was fast - but not "too fast". As it was 2pm on a Saturday, it was relatively quiet, so difficult to assess the atmosphere. I will definitely be back another time for dinner.

We tried our luck tonight for a last minute family dinner. There were 6 of us coming and there were no tables big enough, however they rearranged some for us last minute and we so appreciate this effort. The staff were all so accomodating and hospitable. Even when I was a terrible patron and spilled a beer all over the table. The food was incredible, if you don’t order the rib eye you’re missing out! Cooked to absolute perfection with duck fat roasted potato. ❤️ A special mention to Sammy (I hope that’s his name) who was more than accomodating and helpful. From the bar staff to the wait staff and manager, you are amazing. It was under sad circumstances we ended up in Warrnambool today, but this experience really impressed us and lifted our spirits. I will be recommending it to everyone!

We recently dined at the Whalers Hotel and had a positive experience overall. The majority of our group was very happy with their meals; the steak and chicken dishes were delicious. Unfortunately, one of our party found their pancetta pork loin to be a bit dry and the accompanying risotto was quite salty. Despite this, the service was excellent—the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We'd still recommend the Whalers Hotel for a reliable and enjoyable pub meal."

Absolutely awesome meals!! We got the beef Parma & the Portland gummy. Both huge meals, both equally delicious! The garlic bread was yummy also. Beautiful atmosphere for our anniversary celebration 💜

Lamb shoulder was delicious. My son wasn't too keen on the burger as the patties was slightly burnt. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Service was really good, seeing that the last time we were here for breakfast, the staff seemed quite rude. They mustn't have been morning people? Any hoo, this particular time was exceptionally pleasant. Service was a delight. We were greeted with a friendly and warm welcoming attitude, showing our seats and given a moment to study the menu before ordering. The timing was good. We weren't left waiting to order, drinks came out straight away and closely followed but the entrè. Delicious, by the way. The main course were great, good serving size and cooked to perfection. Quality ingredients and very flavoursome. Just looking at the meals made my mouth water. It could have been a better evening with my one and only on our 13 year anniversary, evening coming back to the place where we got hitched.

Went for dinner on a Saturday night with my family. Wasn’t thrilled with the service to begin with, we were sat near the bar and were given no service while two young girls standing behind the bar openly talked badly about other coworkers. Our waitress, Shannon I think she said her name was, was a gem though. She came to our table immediately after arriving and was extremely professional and attentive. She answered all of our questions and helped us to change meals to suit our preferences and was very knowledgeable about the menu and made everything a breeze. It was some of the best service I’ve received. The food was also amazing, a slight wait but came out amazing and fresh and my sons steak was cooked to perfection!

Food here is very very good, but on my last visit out if last four, was ok. For dinner the oysters with the vinaigrette is excellent. The seafood pasta is also hard to beat.

Been to place so many times and every time it all ended up in pure joy and satisfaction! Every dish was perfectly delivered and see the plates we left you will know how good the food they are serving and they totally deserve a six star rating! Highly recommend.

Had a weekday lunch with friends, we all enjoyed our meals, pasta, salmon, and steak sandwich. The steak was tender, and the presentation was ok. There are not many ways to present a steak sandwich in sour doe bread. What matters is that it was very tasty. Prices were as you would expect. The wine by the glass was expensive, but that's the norm. A little thing, it was great to have iced water without the chlorine taste.

Wow! These guys make the best salad rolls. It helps that the bread is really delicious and it was filled to capacity with fresh ingredients! The quiche was super delicious as was the pastie sausage roll. The chicken and vegetable pie was good although a little salty. The cinnamon doughnuts are scrumptious too! Definitely one of my favourite bakeries to find!

Service immaculate - they were busy but very efficient. Pies were also great - pastry flaky & the fillings were awesome. Had no complaints about it - tried 2 pies - shepherds & mushroom beef. Piping hot great for cold morning

Great local bakery with a big variety of options. I’d usually go a good pie but thought I’d try a Sausage roll today, was best I’ve had in a while. Browns are always our go to for a good sponge cake also, generally one with passion fruit icing. Yummo! Donuts and sweets for the kids are always great too.

This bakery has great pies, salad rolls and other goodies. The cinnamon donut was amazing - so soft and delicious. The date scone was really good too. You can get your rolls or sandwiches toasted if you want. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful. The shepherds pie had yummy mash, chunky meat and the pastry was soft, not hard or chewy. Really nice. Second visit we got a delicious curried steak pie, sausage roll, pastie, apple slice and white choc raspberry muffin. All were really tasty!!

The best Chicken Pie, definitely head in and try it out, I absolutely will be going back for that alone. Excellent selection of hot foods, cakes etc, coffee git the mark too, plenty of seating.

Nestled in a busy shopping zone this place has a near constant line up; normally a good sign for quality. Staff busily pump out the coffees with a friendly and warm service. The beans seem to produce an acidic note that messes with the milk froth quality. Strength and scent were on point but our two coffees were quite different in flavour. Almond croissant needs more almond meal. Loved the customer loyalty blackboard.

I have never had a bad coffee from this place, it is always so busy which just shows the popularity but I am happy to wait for coffee so smooth, love the muffins too.

The best white chocolate and blueberry crumble muffins yesterday!! Love the actual chunks of chocolate in them. The cookies were divine too. Will be back soon for more.

Unbelievable coffee, nice flavour, perfect temperature, crema and presentation. Quality ingredients and equipment! Roasted in house so you can’t get fresher from bean to cup. One of the best in Warrnambool!

Great coffee but the wait time was a slow drip. Come for the brew, but perhaps bring a book.. or a tent.

I have been coming and getting my coffee from Provincial Cafe for about 6 years now. The staff are absolutely beautiful, genuine lovely people and already know my order before I've paid, the only difference is large or small. It's a very homely comforting atmosphere on there and the staff are always on for a chat, they go above and beyond for their customers, always have kind words to say, are caring and polite to no matter who walks up to the counter. I'd give them a bigger rating if I could. Thanks to Brooke and the girls for always managing to put a smile on my dial whenever I walk in. 4 times a week 😆 Provincial Cafe is my second home and I highly recommend everyone goes and grabs a coffee and soaks in the cheery, light hearted most of all welcoming atmosphere. Thanks so much to all the wonderful staff who greet me nearly every weekday and making me feel likevpart of the family. Best brew in Warrnambool hands down and you will not find better staff in any other Cafe. Love you guys xo

Great food, service and atmosphere. We stopped here for lunch and a coffee during our great ocean road trip. I had the Marci’s chicken sandwich which was very tasty.

Had lunch here and got takeaway coffees here a couple days ago, my expectations were defied with disappointment! I have been here a few times before, but for all previous times, I enjoyed my coffee. However, this time the coffee tasted terrible. There was a burnt taste in it. My latte was half froth and my husband's cappuccino was flat, there is no consistency. The counter was also dirty the whole time I was in there, you'd think they'd clean up after themselves considering it wasn't that busy. No one had any consistency or cleanliness. I would never come here again.

Beautiful Cafe situated inside the French Provincial store and the breakfast was delicious.Great place for a friendly catch up with friends and browse afterwards.The coffee was thoroughly enjoyable which is a great start to my day and just love the ambiance of the cafe.Highly recommend this cafe 👍

This cafe is such a vibe! Set down the back of the homeware store provincial off warrnambools Main Street this is easily warrnambools biggest hidden gem. Have dined here multiple times now, food is always of high standard and comes out fast, even when the cafe is busy. Highly recommend the steak sandwich, it is simply Devine.

Great little early morning coffee shop, the food is really nice & hot which is important for a visiting Queenslander in cold Victoria. The coffee is nice and clean, not burned at all which is becoming harder and harder to find now days. Both ladies I've been served by were lovely to deal with, especially with the early morning start at 0530. If you're in Warrnambool and chasing a decent coffee and brekky, this is worth a visit!

When there is a line up, you know it's gotta be good! We stopped by today on a whim and I'm glad we did. The service was great, the girls were friendly and the Hot Chocolate was DELICIOUS! My Husband 100% agreed and we are both also thankful for the dinner recommendation :-)

No buddy, you and your coffee order are not that important, but these guys are CUSTOMER SERVICE PROS and you'll be made to feel like the most special person on earth when you order your second and third quintuple shot each day. The amount of love that is crammed into each cup is matched only by the amount of staff they cram into their coffee production cube to keep Warrnambool up and running, and awake. So, get a coffee here - what are you waiting for?? Nothing! Because you can download their app and not have to wait, that's why! Don't let those other coffee places steal your lunch hour! Don't do it!

Not good guys, the new staff on (liebig) struggling, and they have been there for a while now, so either poor training or they just don't want to be at work! It's always an inconvenience to the new staff, and orders are never right or you simply have part of your order forgotten and its another 20min wait for one drink they forgot. We loved coffee treat but it has slipped really bad since they decided to try open a hamilton store.. I understand staff change but the current liebig staff are making it none enjoyable. Still giving you guys a 3 star as we will still support you but just really wish the current staff get it together

On my first visit to Warrnambool for more than 20 years we were looking forward to eating breakfast out, and chose the cafe because it was actually open. The decor was alright, and the service was polite, but our food was EXTREMELY SLOW to arrive. The coffee had a good flavour, the food presentation was ok, and it was tasty enough… but sadly the experience was coloured by the slow service.

Lovely cafe. Had the salmon stack and a strong latte. Prices on the mid/high end, but good portion size and very tasty. Soft jazz in the background was a bonus

I order VEGETARIAN wrap and there was training girl who start making my order and she was doing good but the girl who was giving training to new staff, she used same gloves which she used to touch beef for prior order and mine veg order, which i really dont like it and this is called cross contamination if they know. If she dont know the kitchen rules how can she train someone. They should change the gloves specially non veg to veg. Really disappointed.

Seems like employees here are not get paid, I was calling for 2-3 times at 8:30 pm today to order over call, but they didn’t even pickup the call. I wanted to pickup at 8:55. When I reached there that time they already closed.

No point using the app to order ahead. Every time I have arrived at the stated pick up time I have been told that my order has either not even been started or only just started. The whole idea of ordering ahead is to skip the 5-10 minute wait in store. Staff need to get better at monitoring the online orders but I think there is a distinct lack of supervision & lots of 15-17 year olds working here who honestly probably don’t get paid enough to care.

I ordered a foot long and it came to not even rapped properly and there usually wrapped with a white sheet as-well. It was just sat in the wrapping and folded over that’s it.

Just want to say what a delight it was purchasing at this store just a few minutes ago. It was extremely clean and I was served by Johnno. I was very impressed with his attention to detail, customer service, and food handling skill. He expertly greeted me when I entered the store and was able to build a rapport with me as a customer while maintaining a professional practice. This was a mood lifting experience which is something I appreciate as a customer with a busy an stressful life. Definitely an asset to the company. He also informed me of how good his employers were and I responded by saying that it shows because of how friendly all of the staff are at this store and the level of cleanliness that is always present at this location.

Dined here for breakfast this morning on our way home from Portland. Ordered crumbed eggs side of chorizo, corn fritters side of bacon and purchased 2 Massman curry pies for dinner. My crumbed eggs were delicious, great flavours cooked perfectly, chorizo was sensational, wife’s corn fritters were a little heavy in batter, she found them tasty but heavy. Both plates were extremely well presented. Had pies for dinner, very tasty. Highly recommend trying this venue.

The food was delicious and service was really friendly. Food and coffee came out super fast. The only thing we didn’t like was having to order at the counter or the QR code. You can’t use the QR code to modify the orders. Other wise it was fantastic

Visiting overnight from Melbourne, we chose our breakfast spot based on all the positive reviews and we were not disappointed. Had the corn fritters and panko eggs (with an added hash-brown), both were well balanced with great flavours and textures. Coffees were perfectly decent. Service was attentive and welcoming.

Breaky combo was great value, $16 for an egg and bacon roll, crispy hashbrown and small coffee. I also tried the caramel slice, and while it’s not like a traditional caramel slice it was one of the top caramel slices I’ve ever had. Very biscuity and yummy!

Such a pretty store located next to Jean Jail. Bright atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food/coffee. I got the chicken burger and it was insanely good. Got mine takeaway. Definitely recommend.

This lovely cafe has become one of our favourite Warrnambool stops. It’s in a great location if you’re heading out to the Home-maker centre and is located near Harris Scarfe. The staff are always happy and friendly. Their Almond Croissants are amazing and definitely a beautiful treat with your coffee and are huge! My favourite is their fish tacos, but they didn’t have them yesterday so I had the eggs Benedict which was just fabulous! I can’t wait to try their new winter menu 🙌🏻.

It’s fair to say we haven’t had a coffee here but if you’re to dine in for breakfast do not expect a boasting açaí bowl (you will get three little ice-cream scoops for the bowl of $18). Neither expect the bowl looking like the photograph from their menu. If you are aiming to get scones, make sure you get an extra ramekin of whipped cream ($2) as otherwise the not-so-generous portion included will only be enough just for one part of the scone. The four stars was for a decent tasting generous size portion of chili scramble eggs with what seemed to be a re-heated dry chicken breast substitute for the grilled bacon. 3 stars for service is because our table wasn’t cleaned when we arrived and actually set on it. Overall this cafe can look professional and inviting but still lacks the basic service level and can be a bit more generous with the portions.

Seriously wonderful. Fantastic friendly service and delicious food. We tried the chocolate chip cookie, which was crunchy and not too sweet, the sticky chai (yum), hot chocolate, sourdough crumpets and tuna toastie. Highly recommend it all! I didn’t quite believe the high rating before I actually visited. It really is the perfect little cafe. Thanks for a lovely breakfast!

Coffee here is ROCKING, if you are stopping by Warnaanbool and you like coffee you must definitely grab a coffee here. We were staying for 4 days and 3 times we came back here. Pastries are really good, I dare to say they have the best carrot cake in town. Absolutely delicious! Also tried the brownie, it was served warm with a spoon of fresh cream, just yummyumm. Ham n cheese croissant was warm and toasted with a absolutely delicious locally produced ham. Staff is absolutely kind, great service. One of the girls recommended us places to see around, thank you Kimberly! And to allee Espresso! We had a lovely time.

Absolutely fantastic! The coffee was great! We r traveling Aus and it’s one of our favourite so far! (Coming from an experienced barista who loves coffee) Definitely a locals cafe, and a perfect spot to stop. The hot cross bun was also epic! The service was awesome, the staff were super friendly and bubbly. Well done team, thank you for ur great service, friendly smiles and exceptional food/coffee. Also a great space if ur thinking of studying or having a team meeting. Their space is large with lots of seating! Or if ur in a rush they have a service window for take away options! Coffee was the best we have had since leaving Alice Springs. Perfect temperature and crema. Free ice cold water, still or sparkling. Beautifully and carefully designed interior. A sitting behind us bought a tea which was a generous serving of beautifully presented loose leaf It's these kinds of thing makes paying for food and drink out so, so worth it.

Allee espresso had delicious coffee and even offered our furbabies a free puppycino. We loved stopping here when passing through Warrnambool and will come back next time we visit. Highly recommend, and they have a great social media presence.

A pleasant ambience, with friendly staff, including a young lady from Ireland, whose name we didn't catch. A tasty cheese scone, and pleasant tasting coffee, not as strong as I would like but perfect for drinking in the afternoon.

Had the fastest, friendliest, finest service today at the Lava Cafe in Warrnambool, Vic today. The Poke bowl was delicious and there was heaps of tables and even a small shop to browse through. Highly recommended!

Great range including gluten free options. A couple of times my meals were cold in the middle but were replaced with hot meals. This has to be my favourite cafe.

Service was fine. Coffee was second-rate. One poached egg was okay the other was completely over cooked. I absolutely hate having fresh pepper put on my food for me, if I want it it's on the table and I am quite capable of using it myself. The salt shaker was completely blocked. The chair was really uncomfortable. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place.

I had a latte and a slice of cake, both were spot on. The coffee was strong but smooth (again, I’m Italian, so I don’t say that lightly), and the cake had that homemade taste that’s hard to find these days. Nothing overdone or overly sweet,just good ingredients and care. It’s the kind of café where you could sit with a book, catch up on work, or just watch the world outside the window for a while. No pressure, no noise. Just good vibes, great coffee, and attention to the little things.

Probably the best Cafe in Warrnambool. I have not once had a bad coffee from Cafe Lava. The menus never disappoint. The chefs clearly create their food with passion. Serving sizes are perfect and the front of house staff create a fun and comfortable environment for customer's. If you're looking to grab meal or even just a takeaway coffee. Cafe Lava is the place to go.

Great place place to go. Nice modern retro setting. Food was great. They served varieties of wonderful flavoured tea. Friendly staff. There is one largest long beautiful timber table which able to accommodate for big group of 25 adults, sadly didn't get much photos.

I had the most delicious breakfast at Cafe Lava this week: Bombay Toast and an almond latte. The coffee was brought out in less than 5 minutes and the meal in less than 10, even though they were fairly busy. The staff are friendly and highly accomodating and I will definitely be back!

Quickly stopped over during the long weekend. The girls were wonderful and managed to fit us in. The food was good too. Decent portion. Bread was a bit tough and struggled to cut into but the taste made up for it. It was a but warm in the restaurant, probably the AC didn’t work but overall Would recommend. I would recommend the Ice chocolate over the ice coffee.

Delicious food and great service. Venue is nice and very busy,however because of this it was very noisy, we could barely hear each other talking at the table. Given the indoor, outdoor flow there was quite alot of flies buzzing around.

Had an excellent lunch of lamb souvalaki, sweet potato fries, eggs on toast with avocado and relish. Followed by apricot slice and carrot cake. It was all really tasty and filling. Came out quickly, considering it was busy. Staff were quick, efficient and friendly.

I didn’t expect much from an ordinary chicken Caesar salad , but the one at Tides Cafe completely surprised me. It was hands down the best I ‘ve ever had. The salad was beautiful arranged, with generous portions of juicy, perfectly fried chicken. Instead of chopped lettuces leaves, there were four crispy quarters of baby lettuces, fresh, crunchy, and full of flavour. Added in the golden, crispy bread pieces. No complains, just pure enjoyment with every bite!

We ordered the 5 course chef tasting menu here and by far was the best food we ate all trip, fresh, elegant and tasty price was definitely worth it. Candle lit and cozy staff were awesome as well!

We began the evening with a few drinks at the bar, where we were warmly welcomed by Aysha, who was absolutely lovely. Her friendly demeanor made for some wonderful conversation and set a great tone for the night. Just after 5 PM, we sat down for the “After Five” menu. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, with beautifully set tables and soft candlelight that added a warm, welcoming touch. Aysha continued to look after us during dinner, and she was fantastic—knowledgeable, attentive, and always smiling. She happily answered our questions and made us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. It was shockingly bad. We ordered a caesar's salad. We waited an hour and then followed up with the staff. When it finally came out , it consisted of a whole lettuce cut in half, drizzled with some dressing and some bacon pieces. When we complained to the manager she blamed the vegetable delivery man. Good thing we didnt order chicken, we would have got a live chicken and she would have blamed the chicken farmer! This place should be closed down!

Placed my order through the Maccas app and was able to tell my code straight away. Drove passed first window due to already paying and was greeted by the staff with my food and drink. Very quick service.

i’ve been absolutely appalled with the frappes that i have received the past numerous times i have travelled to this specific location. Two stars is generous but that is a reflection of myself and absolutely not this place. I received half a frappe one time and a milkshake the other, disappointing!

Zane denied me entry a hour before the store was scheduled to shut. He also did not fill my frappé. I felt this was extremely unfair and an atrocious way run a store. 0 stars -5 if I could.

i had one of the worst experiences at this mcdonald’s, the girl on the speaker was very rude and honestly rushed me and my friends to order, she then made us wait 10 minutes before telling us fresh chips were cooked, we weren’t at all impressed by this service. she also forgot our chips out of everything we ordered. horrendous behaviour from a well known and loved place.

It’s Maccas but this is the better one in town. Cafe cakes always look fresh and well presented. Foods always pretty good and consistent here.

Want to splurge on breakfast/brunch then this is a must-hit spot in Warnambool. A little pricey but the food was delicious, portions were good, cooked with precision and the touch of dukkah on some of the dishes added a delicious dimension. If you are on a timeline best to plan ahead, reserve a table and schedule the stop or be patient.

Nice quaint decor and atmosphere, friendly staff as soon as you step through the door. Latte was super nice with their own house blend, scrambled eggs and omelette were very tasty and beautifully cooked, hash browns were crispy outside and fluffy inside as they should be 😊 Only thing to fault was the sour dough that came with both dishes was very hard to cut through with the supplied cutlery and required more force then it should of.

The breaky burger was delición, the banana bread was the perfect sweet bite, and the coffee? Spot on 😋 Lovely hospitality and cozy vibes made it all even better. Definitely coming back for more!

I paid $4 for 1 piece of mushroom that was cut into 3 pieces and had a big breakfast not worth $31.50 only 2 cut pieces of mushroom spinach is very little too Everything was perfect but after waiting for more than 35 min for the food all my hopes were down. Service was okay too, no one came to our table to ask anything but i saw them going to other tables for asking water ,gaking food order. I came here with a lot of hope but i felt a bit down. But thank you for the food

I have been enjoying the food here a bit lately and the front of house have always been kind with great service. However, I can’t overlook the way the manager, or owner, speaks to her staff. On 2 occasions now I’ve overheard her making degrading and discouraging comments towards staff members. It’s uncomfortable to listen to, and having had similar experiences myself working in a toxic workplace, I really feel for the them.No matter how good the food is, I won’t support a business that treats its staff this way. Your staff are your business.

Staff on coffee machine teaching others how to make coffee while making lukewarm hot chocolates instead of mochas, not wiping the milk wand between using almond milk and normal milk, and just taking ages in general. Food also poorly put together and took even longer

Appalling state of food and service. The burger meal we received was like it was weeks old including the ingredients in it. Cardboard chicken burger barely there and the additional bacon was rock hard. The fries were also cold and old. Tried to call by phone to rectify and no answer even after 6 tries. We were travelling to a weekend away and so to find this in the bag after we left the drive thru was disappointing enough, no answer on contact number a double whammy. Won’t bother with McDonalds again. Tired and disappointed.

food is absolutely disappointing. ordered two choc thick shakes and gave us a vanilla soft serve and chocolate soft serve?? toilets are very disgusting. wet clumps of toilet paper clogging the sinks, and the smell is foul. food overall was very dry and did not satisfy us. very bad dont come here

Drive thru was backed up and not moving. Decided to go in store. OMG So slow, staff appeared to stop for a meeting while people were waiting for their order. Then stood and witnessed staff member argue with people over a families ice cream order. Someone got something wrong and instead of just fixing it argued over $1.10 what has happened to the good old days of MACCAS

Ordered 2 chocolate Sundays and paid for extra sauce to get 2 Sundays with the sauce all over the cups and spoons and not even one full pump of sauce in either of them! Cold chips in the meals and trying to call the restaurant for 45 minutes with no answer! Very poor service, pathetic presentation will not be going back to east, will go to central from now on at least they answer the phone!

Standing outside talking to my friend I noticed the condition of the maccas delivery car. Drivers side had the space saver tyre on it (fair enough, it happens) but what I saw next was the passengers side tyre was completely bald. So bald the canvas is showing through. I'm convinced these cars do not get serviced. Bald tyres is poor form on maccas east behalf especially since young p platers are the main drivers. With the rain we've had lately this is putting drivers at risk. Lift your game Maccas East. It's bad enough you sell crap food but to put young inexperienced drivers in unroadworthy cars is dangerous.

I ordered a soft serve at 8:45pm and we watched the server drop the serviette on the ground then pick it back up, look at us, and continue to make my ice cream. I told the blonde girl with glasses at the window we watched her drop it and would like a fresh one and all she said was “no I didn’t”, I refused to take the ice cream till it was remade. Absolutely disgusting service, having worked at McDonald’s before, I know what can touch those floors and don’t want that touching my mouth. Would not recommend.

Contrary to another review I have found Gallo pasties excellent- they are packed full of vegs and meat and the pastry is just right. Sure they are rustic looking but if heated up properly they are very nice and satisfying. The sweet slices - still trying to decide which is the best as each one is so damn nice and a large slice - cut into two they are well worth the price. Gallo Bakery and Alex and his team are my go to😊

A good choice for takeaway. The fried rice was tasty, and the fried chicken also tasted good. Medium size feeds me well, heaps of chicken and about half a box of rice.

Probably the worst banh mi pork roll I’ve ever had. Soft roll that had gone to mush in parts due to excessive moisture in filling. Cold meat no crackle. Chunks of old non crunchy spring onion. Pickled veg was ok though. Didn’t finish

Love this place, it’s my fave coffee and date scone go to! I never have to wait long if at all and the staff are fantastic! I can be in work clothes or jogging attire and always welcomed.

The gluten free range was limited to one savoury option and two sweet options when I visited. I tried the muesli slice. To my surprise, tasted like a honey joy on steroids. It was sickly sweet, didn't float my boat due to the vast amount of sugar in it, but I'm sure others may appreciate it. To each their own. I also tried a $6.50 "sticky chai", which was delicious. The flavour was fuller and smoother than that of the powdered chai. I highly recommend this 🙂 The staff were absolutely lovely and very accommodating and offered me the chai ingredient list. I (and the person I was with) were impressed with the outdoor seating option available as it is enclosed by glass, similar to many Melbourne eateries. We will definitely be giving this another visit and trying the other gluten free options in future.

Incredible food selection. Best Pies in Vic! Great customer service. A must visit in Warrnambool. And great coffee!

Amazing cafe, had a chicken toastie which was delicious. Had to revisit whilst in Warrnambool as the toastie was so delicious and fantastic customer service. Will be back next time in town.

Good service, food options look good. I have to drink decafe however and unfortunately thier decafe tastes like plain milk so it's not going to be a regular spot for me

After a long drive from Geelong to Warrnambool, my daughter and I decided to stop for some breakfast, and instead of heading into town, we stopped at the Gateway Plaza. There was not much to chose from at the plaza so we decided to eat at the Better Bake Cafe. The A-frame menu they had at the door advertised pancakes for $9.50 which my daughter was keen on (pic included). I decided on the Bacon and Egg Roll. When we took a seat to wait for our meal we noticed that there was a pile of junk on the chair next to my daughter, including an old cash register. When the pancakes came out they (3) were tiny - we are talking 10cm in width - probably the size of a smallish pikelet! (pic included) - nothing like the photo of 6 stacked pancakes advertised. My Bacon and egg roll came out about 5 minutes after my daughters meal - which as any restaurant/cafe knows is pretty poor. Most people like to eat at the same time! Would not recommend, and I feel sorry for the people who have such a poor choice to stop for a meal.

Had brunch here on Saturday morning. Ordered a Gf chicken, cheese and avo toasted sandwich which was quite tasty and cooked so it was lovely and crispy which I really appreciated as Gf bread is hard to cook crispy. I was a bit disappointed with my thick shake though as it was more of a milkshake unfortunately-Otherwise it was a positive experience there

Morning smoko so we just had a spinach and feta roll, sausage roll and a coffee but it was fresh, hot and service was so quick. And I have to say it was the best service I have seen in awhile, the girl that served us was bright and cheerful with a smile and that did not change the whole time we were there and with everyone she served. I was so impressed that I had to tell her that her customer service was outstanding.

SOME OF THE BEST CHICKEN SCHNITZEL CHIPS AND GRAVY I'VE EVER HAD AND FANTASTIC VAULE FOR MONEY WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK FOR MORE GREAT FOOD. THE PEOPLE WERE ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC WITH THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND ADDITUDES. TOP MARKS TO YOU ALL AT THIS BAKERY VERY HAPPY NEW CUSTOMER RIGHT HERE KEEP IT UP LEGENDS WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND YOUR BUISSNESS IF ANYBODY ASKS ME OF SOMEWHERE GREAT TO GO FOR FOOD. Low quality food. Horrible coffee. Rude behaviour.

Purchased a pepper pie from here today. I could not eat it as it was very dry and disgusting. Looked like it had been in the pie warmer for ages. The meat was very dry and the pastry tough. I would go as far as saying, the worst pie I have ever eaten. Lift your game as it was awful.

A middle aged lady working there was so rude, food was sub par as well

Breakfast & lunch are both delicious here. Staff are lovely and the view is great with a comfortable seating area.

Excellent breakfast stop…delicious!! Staff were very friendly! Maybe breakfast on a plate rather than a board next time but did not detract from our enjoyment!!

Staff were extremely welcoming and efficient. Oysters were the best I’ve ever had. Steak cooked to perfection. Chocolate cheesecake was amazing as was the lemon tart. Not a local to Warrnambool but worth a drive back.

View and ambience was amazing... And food was even better!!! What a beautiful start of the day!! Kudos to owner for bringing everything together ❤️

Great location and nice looking interior. Went with some friends- food was nice, Coffee was average and service was disappointing. Three times the wrong food and drinks came to our table. My son spilled his drink and one woman made such a big deal about it- she nearly would have been better off making a public announcement about it 🤦🏼‍♀️. Will think twice before going again.

First time here a few Saturday mornings ago. Coffee was good, staff friendly. My zucchini fritters were tasty but not cooked well enough and went soggy. My husband ordered the breakfast board without mushrooms and beans but with extra hash brown, eggs fried. No changes listed on the menu for this dish, which is fine, but hard to take when we took off $9.50 worth but they added $3.00. Came out with poached eggs and no extra h/brown. Took it up to staff and they kindly took it back to the kitchen. About 3 minutes later it came back out with fried eggs - even the white wasn’t completely cooked. We’ll probably give them another go but it wasn’t a good experience. And there are so many good places to go in Warrnambool. Hopefully management take this feedback and make improvements.

Great coffee, delicious toasties, and a wonderful atmosphere with an amazing view. Highly recommend
