Our first visit won't be our last. Delicious tasty food. My granddaughter enjoyed her waffles and hot chocolate. We joined a queue when we arrived fortunately we didnt have to wait long to be shown to our tabke.. Staff said they are always busy..which can only be a good sign. Will call ahead and book for our second visit. Reasonable prices lovely atmosphere. Outdoor seating also.

Absolutely amazing breakfast/brunch. We both had the Fab Five Freddy, the portion size was really good, food was tasty and fresh. Definitely will be returning. Great service and vibe. Thank you!

Excellent this is our second visit in a matter of weeks. First visits was for my daughter birthday..then my son enjoyed it so much we came back and I had the pancake stack with berries and mascarpone, unreal so filling and delicious. Vegetarian eggs Benedict my daughter ordered on both occasions and she loved it. My son was made to feel so special for his birthday too

Unbelievable food, would definitely recommend visiting. Our server Caitlin was really friendly and lovely and the service was quick and the food fresh and delicious.
James B — Google review
Lovely food cooked by Emily with very genpurous portion sizes. Exceptionally busy which shows its popularity but we were quickly served and a table made ready for us. Service from Alice was exceptional, so friendly and very chatty which added to our lovely experience. For anyone who is wondering Alice is from Florida so a genuine American which just adds to the authentic experience of eating at Moose 😊.

First time visitor to Liverpool, and this restaurant was highly recommended to us for breakfast. It absolutely did not disappoint at all. Very large portions, prompt service, and delicious eggs Benedict! Recommend the cheese, pancakes and cappuccino as well. Joey, our server, was friendly, made great recommendations, and made sure our order was perfect.

Cafe Tabac, established in 1974, is a beloved Liverpool institution that has been at the heart of the city's Bohemian cafe/bar scene for over 40 years. This intimate and arty cafe attracts a diverse clientele, including artists, actors, singers, and performers. It offers American-style breakfast, burgers, and drinks with a welcoming atmosphere.
Fantastic Veggie Breakfast! Excellent Service! Highly Recommend! Fantastic Value as Well! My Mate's Meat Breakfast Was Also Highly Recommended!

I took my daughter here on her sixteenth birthday for an afternoon film screening and drinks. I have to say Maria and the staff were exceptional. The level of service, care and professionalism were second to none. We didn't eat here, but the food looked fantastic from a distance. Bottom line, Cafe Tabac will always hold a place in my heart for what they did to help make my daughter's birthday fantastic. Cheers to the team. SUPPORT THEM! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Popped in on a weekday morning as I’d heard there was a display of photos of Pete Burns. I really liked the interior & the general vibe. The decor is full of Scouse icons from the 60s onwards & this would be an interesting spot for a drink if you’re just visiting the city. Coffee was good & the staff helpful & friendly (I saw other customers greeted by name while I was there). There’s a small room at the back available for private hire which would be great for 10-20 people
Alison M — Google review
I visited with my daughter, I don't usually drink cocktails so was a bit at a loss as to what to choose but thankfully the wonderful GM asked us about things we liked and didn't like and made us the most amazing drinks, I am now a convert to cocktails and will visit when I'm back in Liverpool.
Karen L — Google review
Tabac Cafe, a Liverpool institute. I stopped for coffee and a toasted bacon butty. Friendly staff. I was told there was a wait for food as they were very busy, but my bacon butty arrived quickly. Plenty of freshly grilled bacon. Great atmosphere. Good value too. Worth stopping by if in Bold Street.
Mary W — Google review
13 years since i’ve been back to Cafe Tabac and I can honestly say the service is still as wonderful as it was then. Dani was lovely, chatty and attentive. I was so impressed how she held the floor with such grace when it was busy, she was calm and professional. It was so lovely to come back and enjoy the atmosphere… I look forward to many more visits in the near future. Love Cafe Tabac.
Georgina C — Google review
Breakfast: The food is delicious here. I had a full English (£10.95) cooked to perfection. The staff are very nice. I’m happy I came. Nice music. Recommend. Service can be a little slow. You know how service oriented we Americans are.!
Mark M — Google review
Visited this morning for breakfast. We were sat and our order was taken promptly. Waited 20min for our tea and water to arrive. We waited another 20min for our food which never showed. We decided to leave when the table next to us, who arrived at least 20min after us, received their food. We were never advised of a wait on food, and delays were not acknowledged until I went to the till and asked for our order to be cancelled. We had previously come on another weekend trip in 2022 which is why we called today.

The Brunch & Cocktail Club is a vintage-style eatery housed in a brick-lined warehouse, offering classic brunch cocktails and hearty fare. Their signature dish, the pancake stack priced at 10.95, comes with an array of decadent toppings like Biscoff spread, banana, Nutella, Oreo salt, and more. For those seeking a bottomless brunch experience in Liverpool, this place is a must-visit.
My friend and I booked this place for brunch! The atmosphere inside was so beautiful! The flowers and vines all over the walls and ceilings created such a unique and inviting vibe! We had pancakes and cauliflower and mushroom hash. The prices were very reasonable for the food we got. Service was great! Recommend booking because it gets busy very quick. Would come back again to try the Banana and Pistachio bread!

Incredible brunch place in Liverpooo! We ordered iced teas, eggs Benedict with croissants and pancakes, and all dishes tasted amazing. The environment is very nice, well decorated and cozy. The staff is super friendly and prompt to fix any issues. Our ordered was forgotten, so it took longer than expected, but they were so friendly: they fixed the issue quickly and gave us free drinks. We understand these problems can happen anywhere and because of the way they handled it for us was a great 5 stars! Thank you!! Can’t wait to go back! ☺️🩷
Victoria G — Google review
Me and my boyfriend went for brunch here and it was amazing. Our server Lauren was super attentive and friendly. I ordered the salmon bagel and it was delicious. My boyfriend had the brunch club breakfast and he said it was the best brunch he’s had. The atmosphere and decor is absolutely stunning. Overall, a really positive experience. Would seriously recommend!
Charlotte M — Google review
Came her for brunch and will absolutely be back. The food was delicious (even the gf beans on toast looked great!) and the staff were brilliant I ordered the cinnamon swirl loaf which was incredible. So much flavour If you have any allergies, the staff here are extremely attentive. They asked lots of questions, clarified any potential risks, and were super helpful
Tasmin D — Google review
Update to respond to the restaurant: I’ve never had a restaurant being so line by line defensive… My problem was not with the AI recommendation about the menu, it was with the banana bread. And SHE DID NOT OFFER TO REPLACE THE MEAL, oh my god, I was not really angry or anything but now this definitely pisses me off… I asked, if the dry bits of banana bread was normal, she said “yes it was normal, I can offer you more maple syrup if you like.” I would have taken the replacement meal if she had offered, why are you lying!? What’s the point? Own up to the fact that the food was dry, apologize and move on? Also, the bill was £17, not the bananas bread, obvi I ordered a drink. Why is it so important to defend all these little bits!? Congrats cuz this is now going on TikTok. I was just doing an honest review with pictures on google map but hey, you wanna make this ugly, let’s do it. Horrible banana bread, honestly I was shocked as the place had great review and recommended by chatGPT for French toast yet there was no French toast So I ordered the pistachio banana bread, as soon as I cut open the banana bread it just crumbled and looked so dry inside, there’s also loads bits that’s under-baked, you could see flower bits. Normal banana bread should be soft warm and gooey a bit, but this was just dry dry dry dry dry dry for £17 I was not happy. When I first asked the server, she said it’s normal and offered more maple syrup. So I just ate half of it and send the other back. Service was great though they offered 10% but that’s £1 off it’s just disappointing. Will likely not go back

Nice environment with plenty of plant life tastefully decorating the place. Very kind and well attentive waitresses who really seem like they enjoy working there. Food was very good and the tea was among the best I’ve had (which granted is a low bar as an American). Overall lovely spot

Amazing brunch, staff were lovely and very attentive. Swapped mushrooms for an extra hash brown at no extra cost which was a nice touch. Lauren our serve was very good and made sure we had everything we needed

Nice food and decorations. We sat outside. The heating was on and it was warm even at the end of October. We waited for a free table inside but unfortunately the waiters didn't offer us one even though tables had become free while we were sitting in the restaurant. So Service is not that good us food.

Pippin's Corner, formerly known as The Moon and Pea, is a popular cafe located on Lark Lane in South Liverpool. It offers delectable brunch options such as full English breakfasts, pimped-up hot chocolates, and yummy eggs benedict made with locally sourced produce. This family-friendly spot is also known for its vegetarian and vegan offerings including cakes, puddings, and spreads.
Lovely place to have an early morning breakfast. We went on a Saturday just after 9am and it was peaceful and relaxing. The food was delicious and good value for money. Coffee was great too! Service was friendly and fast. Would definitely recommend! Small and Large breakfast were brilliant.
Chloe B — Google review
We came on a Saturday at 6:05 to have a hot chocolate before heading back home after a walk and they almost rejected to take our order because they were “closed” until I pointed at their door where it was clearly shown 7pm as the closing time. They only allowed us to sit outside and the white hot chocolate that we ordered was practically hot water with whipped cream on top. Worst hot chocolate I've ever had 👎🏼 You are better off looking for another place on the same street

Honestly an amazing stop for some lunch !! I got the hot honey halloumi salad which was absolutely amazing, paired with the garlic bread which was also very nice. It made for a light delicious dinner, plus the service was exceptional, the lady serving us was really friendly❤️ me and my friends all loved it xxx

We came here for lunch on a nice warm day out to Sefton park. The place was really busy but we managed to get a seat outside. The staff were really nice and friendly. I had the Caesar salad with anchovies and my partner had the fish finger butty. We both had a cappuccino and 2 diet cokes the total bill was £39.

I do not normally repeat food places when travelling cause I like to try different things, but this place was so good that we went twice during our stay in Liverpool! Staff was lovely and friendly, quick service, and food was delicious. Fair prices for the quality of the food! Dog friendly, easy to find parking spots nearby and there is a nice park close by to have a stroll afterwards. The street where it is located is very cool with many restaurants. I really enjoyed the vibe!

Amazing place. I visited Pippin’s with my brother and my dog on our first time down Lark Lane. My brother is a coffee and tea fan and i’m a cocktail girl - finding somewhere we both like is always a struggle but we settled for here. We were joined by some drunk and opinionated strangers on our table and when the staff noticed my brother was getting uncomfortable they took all necessary steps to make sure he was okay, as well as having a friendly chat. I was unaware of the situation until we had left and he spoke to me, and I couldn’t be more grateful to the girls working for their help. This is a very safe space and it’s much appreciated. Amazing latte art and lovely cocktails too - we would absolutely return and will recommend!

Bold Street Coffee, located in the heart of Ropewalks, Liverpool, has been a local favorite since its establishment in 2009. With multiple locations across the city and Manchester, it is known for supporting local artists and hosting events while serving top-notch coffee and delicious food. This iconic café is a vibrant space where visitors can enjoy a variety of beverages and tasty treats while immersing themselves in the city's culture.
Delicious flat white, with a great coffee taste and pretty latte art. I had the hot cross bun French toast, and it was delicious! It wasn’t oily at all. It was served with chocolate sauce and maple syrup, neither of which were needed as it was so delicious. My partner had the mushroom toast with poached eggs and loved it. Really friendly staff. Fast service. Dog friendly.

I had a wonderful experience here. The food was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was expertly made—a real treat. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I'll definitely be back soon!
Faridah H — Google review
Still my favourite coffee shop in the UK, hands down, even after first visiting 16yrs ago. I live over an hour away so always make sure I visit whenever I'm in Liverpool. A lovely chilled atmosphere if you want to people watch with a coffee and get some work done. The coffee is smooth but strong and each one tastes the same every time I go. It is the only place I will order a flat white because it's simply that good. Normally, I'd want something bigger. Make sure to visit next time you're in Liverpool and you won't be disappointed.
Nick P — Google review
We headed here for breakfast after seeing a TikTok review and weren't disappointed. We had the Sausage Buoy with an added hash brown and a latte. Coffee was lovely, food was even better. Staff were really nice. We had to wait a little but it was a busy service and you can see the chef cooking everything from scratch. Nice selection of pastries and cakes. Not cheap but worth paying for the quality food and coffee. Definitely recommend. 👌🏼
Dave D — Google review
We came in this morning and were greeted by the staff who were all friendly and helpful. The coffee was great as well as the food! 🥯 The service was amazing and the shop itself is lovely, seating outside and plenty of seating indoors too! Thank you to the lovely staff 🤍

Kind service + beautiful coffee + vibes! I don't know his name but the cute guy with longish black hair makes one of the best coffees in Liverpool. If you don't like loud, maybe takeaway/sit outside.
Kelly B — Google review
me and my partner stumbled across this place and it definitely was a good choice. I had the poached egg on sourdough add sausage and a portion of beans. probably the best eggs i have ever eaten. My boyfriend had the BSC fry up he enjoyed but little on the salty side. the beans were more on the tomato side but the flavour was incredible. staff were beyond friendly and the place had a great atmosphere. drink options were a oat milk chai, a tea and orange juice. this was all £46 which was quite pricey but would have been better if the sourdough was served with 2 peices of bread instead of 1. overall experience was 9/10 - we will be back 🫶🏻
Sabrina W — Google review
I had the chance to visit Bold Street Coffee, and it definitely lived up to its reputation. The place has laid-back yet vibrant atmosphere—bustling but not overwhelming—creating the perfect spot to enjoy a quality cup of coffee and take in the energy of the city. It immediately reminded me of the local coffee shops in Portland, Oregon, with its warm ambiance, friendly baristas, and a focus on great coffee rather than unnecessary frills. I went for a Batch Coffee, and it was smooth, well-balanced, and full of flavor—exactly what I look for in a solid, no-nonsense cup of coffee. No bitterness, just a rich and satisfying brew that showcases their dedication to quality beans and proper brewing techniques. As for food, I tried the Egg Buoys, and they were spot-on. The eggs were fluffy, the bread was fresh, and the combination of flavors made for a satisfying, hearty breakfast that paired perfectly with the coffee. It’s the kind of meal that feels simple yet crafted with care, much like the best coffee shops back in Portland. The overall experience was great—whether you’re looking for a quick caffeine fix or a place to sit down and enjoy your morning. The space has that mix of minimalist design and cozy charm, making it feel welcoming without trying too hard. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

"I absolutely loved my breakfast here! They serve the most delicious and flavorful meals, and their use of sourdough bread for toast adds such a unique touch. The portion sizes are just right—generous enough to satisfy but not overwhelming. Highly recommend for a perfect start to your day!"

A lovely, quirky independent cafe, with delicious breakfasts, lunch coffee and cakes. They sell made on site sour dough bread, which is very reasonably priced and tastes delicious. The staff are lovely.
Greg G — Google review
I've been here a few times recently and love it. They have different cakes for sale each day (which I've gotten a few times) and today I tried out one of their sandwiches (the falafel one), all of which has been delicious and at a fair price. The sandwich was £7.50 and the cakes (if my memory serves me correctly) were about £3.00-4.00 For anyone with dietary restrictions they have great vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options as well. I usually take my food to eat elsewhere but the atmosphere is very pleasant, and the staff are also really friendly 💗 I only noticed after paying that they are a cash-preferred business, but they do also have a card reader if you don't carry cash. I'll definitely be paying with cash in the future, it's worth the hassle to support such a great café 😊

Stumbled on this cafe and we were lucky it was just opening. Quickly filled up. Food was amazing and a lovely vibe, friendly staff, cool interiors. Just perfect. Best place in Liverpool for brunch. I had the veggie breakfast and my partner had the meat breakfast. Both delicious and extra special especially the chimichurri on the side.

Hafla Hafla is a Middle Eastern street food restaurant known for its innovative and delicious dishes. One of their popular creations is halloumi wrapped in bacon with maple mayo, offering a delightful combination of salty and sweet flavors. The menu also features halloumi kebabs, pomegranate-topped halloumi fries, a halloumi burger, and salt and pepper halloumi fries.
Hafla Hafla is easily in my top 3 restaurants in Liverpool! The small plates were generously portioned and amazing. My favourites were the broccoli with babaganoush and the corn ribs. The Persian roast chicken Kebab was to die for and left me very stuffed. A very underrated spot; I had a fantastic time!!!

A tad expensive for small plates but delicious food! The items arrive as they get cooked so everything is piping hot. We ordered two small plates, a kebab, a starter and a mocktail. My fav was the kalamari & fried chicken kebab. Za’atar flat bread was crispy and paired superbly with the beef meatballs. The total was 55£ inc the 10% service charge. The place is a bit small but we managed to find a table for an hour. Pleasant & helpful staff.

Lovely place! We have tried a couple of things, but it was so delicious I forgot to take more pictures! For entrance we had the dip plate with garlic naan. My husband loved the brisket beef kebab. The falafel was something else... I would eat an enormous amount of it! Everyone loved the options!

Great location right on the waterfront in the heart of the docks with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Everything you would expect from the location within the docks with lots of exposed brickwork and beams creating a nice relaxing ambiance. Enjoyed our visit and we were happy to take advantage of a cocktail special that they were offering.

We came in the evening on a Sunday and the bar was very quiet, we had run in out of the rain, but were glad to have done so. There was a great range of interesting cocktails on the menu, but at that particular time there were no fraught beers available at all. We were offered a bottled cider as an alternative which was nice. Once the rain cleared up there were nice seating options outside.

Service was slow as it's always very busy even if you have booked a table. We waited 15 minutes for our first drinks to arrive but seemed to get better after this but the cocktails are delicious and reasonably priced and not lacking in alcohol. Food was very nice but not piping hot when brought out. Atmosphere is very good and music is unique and giving Cuban vibes which we loved.

The place is very attractive, we were so looking forward to eat there. But the reality was very bad! We were waiting around 30 minutes to get the drinks and when the good finally came in, we thought it must ve a joke! A very bad joke! I ordered chicken burger, there was barilely aby meat (more likes a tiny chicken strip), it was dry as hell a thr bun was totally gumy. Terrible experience. We were to stupid to go in just cause it looks stylish.

We had such a great time at the bottomless brunch! The food was great and perfectly timed with the drinks. The vibe was lively but not too loud. Our waiter, Nate, was absolutely fantastic. He was super friendly, attentive, and kept our glasses full the entire time without us ever needing to ask. He really made the experience feel effortless and fun.

We went here on a Sunday night as a couple and had burger with sweet potato fries (an add on) and the sharing nachos this cost £30 great value for money, there was an private event on before and there was some loud music but after a while the music stopped, Jess was our server and was very helpful with our food and any allergy concerns, the decor is much like cosy club if you have ever been, we had a lovely evening!

Bottomless brunch on a Saturday afternoon. Our server was Jess and she was amazing so attentive and our glasses were never empty. The food was nice and hot, really tasty but pretty small portions. Tasty drinks and a nice atmosphere. Definitely worth the money

The best Cuban salsa nights in Liverpool, every Thursday night! Nice music and a beautiful crowd! The Latin band that plays on Saturdays is also amazing! One dining experience I had was not the best. The food was very delayed, but it was a very busy moment and the waiters were doing their best.

Delifonseca Dockside is a hidden gem in Liverpool, offering a unique dining experience with an ever-changing blackboard menu. It's known for its innovative global snacking menu that reflects the city's cosmopolitan vibe. The food hall stocks a variety of gluten-free products, catering to those with dietary restrictions. This gourmet one-stop-shop also features a seasonal restaurant where you can enjoy delicious fish, chicken, and beef dishes.
We visited Delifonseca on Valentine’s Day, and it was a true gastronomic delight! We were impressed by the unique combination of ingredients and their creative presentation – every dish surprised us with its flavors and textures. The duck was simply divine: tender, juicy, and not chewy at all, while the salmon literally melted in our mouths. But my absolute favorite dish was the clams with chorizo – an incredible flavor combination! And then came the dessert, which turned out to be such a generous portion that, for the first time in my life, it felt like too much. It was meant for two, but we could barely finish it! The prices are mid-range, but every penny is absolutely worth it. The service, ambiance, and quality of the food were outstanding. We’ll definitely be coming back!🤩👍🏻🤤

Had a lovely meal today. I had fish and chips (gourmet chippy style) and Mrs had the Welsh Rarebit with Sticky Toffee pud afterward. Always excellent food and service at Delifonseca. Lovely staff who always make a fuss of our dog…🦮

£16.50 for a sandwich an a few chips. Waited 40 mins and order was wrong and what was delivered was lukewarm. Used to be good here but it’s gone off. Nowhere near enough staff on duty

I have to say I’ve had a lovely experience today, I give a 3 star review before because a member of staff was really rude, had no customer service skills and threw our food down without any acknowledgment of our gratitude and the rudeness to my gran was a bit of a limit for me, BUT I went today with my husband and gran and I have to say the food was 10/10, staff were so lovely and polite and it was a great experience! No sight of the rude waitress so that was a bonus, the head waiter/floor manager was lovely and the 2 young waiters that were serving were brilliant! I’ve been coming here for about 5 years and service is usually great but this one waitress (lady with curly hair from what I can recall) was consistently rude for a couple of visits but I’m glad I give the place a go again.

Thank you Delifonseca. First time here and I can say this is a very welcoming place, with great friendly staff, even though we were over 45 minutes late. We booked a table for 15 people, the food was absolutely amazing and the service was first class. This is a fantastic restaurant, we had no complaints whatsoever and would definitely recommend everyone to try here if you have not already. Thank you to all the staff for your service and your kindness. Regards Ste

Excellent deli with a great choice of good quality foods. The salad boxes are very good value and are a meal in themselves. Only had the breakfast/ brunch in the restaurant but choices and quality were good. Always friendly staff.

Could be so much better. It's disappointing that the fruit, veg and eggs are not organic. Looks like the type of shop where you'd expect to find those things. Glass bottled water and accepting cash payments would also be a big improvement. Keep poisoned food off the shelves and keep cash alive.

Mason's Liverpool is a trendy restaurant with modern decor that offers a variety of food and drinks. Their bottomless brunch, available on weekends, features an array of dishes such as eggs royale, crispy chilli beef, and katsu chicken curry. Guests can also enjoy unlimited mimosas, beer, wine, and prosecco during the 2-hour brunch session. The restaurant's stylish interior includes greenery-adorned walls and a modern bar, making it perfect for Instagram-worthy moments.
Booked as we had an event so was looking for bottomless brunch in the city. As soon as we arrived there was a great atmosphere and our service team were excellent. For a bottomless brunch we never had an empty glass! The food are small plates and very good. There is definitely a party atmosphere so more of an experience than a restaurant but highly recommended.

Went here for bottomless brunch before Christmas and it wasn't the best. The chicken was very dry, they brought out two wrong dishes and they also stopped our time with 15mins left. They brought the bill and wouldn't let us get anything else on the bottomless brunch menu. They didn't even alert us- staff were slow at coming round and getting our orders/bringing drinks. The guy on sax was good. Wouldn't go there for bottomless brunch again!

The food was simply exquisite, and the service was impeccable. I can confidently say that my dining experience was a solid 5-star affair, and I cannot wait to return. The roast dinner was the star of the show! Expertly cooked, it was a beautiful balance of flavours. The meat was tender and juicy, the vegetables cooked to perfection, and the gravy was rich, hearty and full of depth. It was, without a doubt, one of the best roast dinners I've ever had. The mocktail that I ordered was a refreshing treat. It was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. The blend of flavours was perfect, and it was a cool, invigorating accompaniment to the meal. The conclusion of the meal was just as impressive as the beginning. The chocolate brownie was a dream for any dessert-lover. It was decadently rich, perfectly moist and packed with flavour. It was a splendid way to end a perfect meal. What really elevated my experience at Masons, however, was the fantastic service. The staff were attentive, friendly and professional. They made sure we felt welcome and comfortable and ensured that our meal was served promptly and efficiently. Their commitment to excellent customer service truly shone throughout the evening. In conclusion, my visit to Masons was an absolute pleasure. From the delightful food to the outstanding service, everything was top-notch. I am more than eager to return and experience more of what this incredible establishment has to offer. Masons has truly set the bar high for dining experiences. Five stars all the way!

Went in for bottomless brunch last week with a few of the guys. Food was great, beer kept flowing. Music wasnt half bad eitther. Ended up staying most of the evening even though bottomless finishes after 90 mins. Coctails were great too, especially the Long Island Iced Tea

Good Atmosphere, shockingly small portions of food, to be exact, 3 prawns, 4 small Chirico pieces and 4 small meatballs, see picture. 2 bottles of larger, 2, very small glasses of red wine, £49.50. Waitress even tried to take my food away when i was still eating and to cap it all, got kicked out bang on 1.5 hours with a half empty restaurant and drinks on the table, had to leave them behind. Not even a thank you or goodbye from the staff on the door as we were ushered out. To be clear, my food is the 3 dishes in the centre of the picture. Avoid disappointment and avoid Masons. Plenty of other placed to eat, in your own time, and eat what what you want.

I honestly don’t even know where to start. We booked Masons in Liverpool for my hen do, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. The service was terrible, we only managed to get two drinks each the entire night, and the staff couldn’t have cared less. They were rude, dismissive, and clearly just wanted us out of there. The food came out at completely different times, so half of us were finished before the rest even got theirs. When I raised how unhappy I was, I was told we’d get a refund, but that turned out to be a lie — just something they said to get us to leave quietly. The whole experience felt unprofessional and chaotic, and the manager in particular was shockingly rude. Definitely not someone who should be running a venue like that. My hen do was completely ruined because of how badly we were treated. We will never be coming back, and I’d strongly advise anyone thinking of booking here for a special occasion to go somewhere else. After the responce to the below to this review - I can confirm half of my party were not drinking, we did not have the amount of drinks he is saying - most of them never turned up, and not only is he insinuating we were ‘ drunk’ he also saying we are not telling the truth. Shame on you. Most of us are business owners in Liverpool - we know how to run a business, all of the above and how your staff spoke to us with one of them actually apologising to me - says it all. Disgusting.

Top-quality food and consistently great service. Food — fresh, healthy and super tasty. Drinks flowed and the DJ/sax entertainment was brilliant, exactly the kind of energy you want on Seel St. Great location, excellent staff
Aaron W — Google review
This was a lively hen do experience with the saxophonist table dancing and the sparklers! The food was really nice, wish there was more of it. There was a bit of upset as they had increased the price since we booked months ago, and the time limit had changed too. The manager offered us another drink round the corner in the attached Epic bar which was cool, and made up for the mix up. Service overall was good. Drink options seemed to be Prosecco with various mixers or bottles of lager I think, nobody really explained it to us, but we were happy with that anyway. Would only come here with a larger group for an event rather than with the other half. It was fun though.

Belzan is a trendy neighborhood eatery located in Liverpool's student-dominated suburb. The restaurant offers beautifully presented sharing plates and an impressive selection of natural wines in a stylish yet unpretentious setting. The menu features seasonal dishes made with locally sourced produce, incorporating subtle Asian influences and a focus on sustainability. Belzan has garnered acclaim for its innovative food, attracting praise from food critics such as The Guardian's Grace Dent.
I've been wanting to come to Belzan for years. So many years. My friends, it was worth the wait. This might now be my favourite Liverpool eaterie, and I'm clearly not alone as the window stickers denoting Good Food and Michelin guides annually through the years, including 2025. Everyone raves about the Guinness Rarebit Potato, and it's justified. Definitely get it. So tender, creamy, and that ketchup salsa thing on top was just...yeah. Amazing. Don't sleep on the other small plates too - the grilled hispi cabbage was one of the nicest things I've had in this city, or anywhere. The little crumbs of Lancashire cheese adds a lovely sharpness. Yum. We had the pork collar and jersey royals for our bigger plates, and both were fantastic. The potatoes were so crispy, with oyster mushrooms and a delicious egg yolk. The pork had a Mediterranean vibe with tomatoes, and olives. Really great food. Desserts were top notch too. We had an incredible chocolate mousse with crunchy, salty hazelnuts. Also had a strawberry and raspberry choux bun that was packed with fresh fruit, chantilly cream, and what our lovely host (who I think is the owner!) called 'tubby custard' 🤣 Can't speak highly enough of the people, who were warm, funny, and attentive all evening. God I can't wait to go back. £130 with drinks felt like a steal. Loved every minute. Edit: almost forgot - get the sourdough with the cauliflower butter. Never tested anything like it. Stunning.

I actually LOVE this place! Always fresh food, lovely drinks and the staff are great too. Always made to feel welcome by the gent who always seems to be in there, really friendly. After having my initial breakfast in here with my partner one weekend, I now regularly visit to have work meetings for both breakfast and coffee. Only had THE BREKKIE BURGER & Hardy’s hash browns myself although I have tried the YOGHURT + CRUNCHOLA what my partner had and it was really tasty. Great place, good vibes!

Loved the food here – everything was fresh, delicious, and the menu had some really unique choices. The only downside was that drinks were served in plastic cups, even for dine-in, which felt a bit out of place given how good everything else was. It would be great to see them switch to reusable cups for a more sustainable and elevated experience.

Really nice independent cafe. I arrived in Liverpool straight off an overnight coach, not knowing anything about the place, and wanted breakfast in an independent cafe rather than something bog-standard & boring. This cafe certainly didn't disappoint! The breakfast (Hardy's Toolbox) was satisfying and filling after a long journey. All items in the breakfast were delicious and cooked/ presented in a way I haven't seen in the usual cafes. Service was lightning fast, probably due to it being about 7:45 on a Saturday. It was a bit pricey, and beans were extra (I didn't buy them). I didn't think it was bad value for money though, as the breakfast was fantastic, the service great, wifi fast, the whole place spotlessly clean, and I prefer to support independent business. The decor was good as well, keeping to theme, and not distracting. If I'm ever up this way again I'll be popping back.

Top choice for early birds and brunch-aficionados, with the kitchen open from 7:30 AM even on Sundays. Great coffee, good vegetarian and vegan options, specials... Friendly, attentive staff and a relaxed atmosphere make it one of the city’s most reliable and enjoyable brunch spots.

We called in for breakfast and we had the brekkie burger and yoghurt and crunchola. The burger was really tasty and it hit the spot. The yoghurt with granola and fruit was also really good and it was a huge portion. My wife ate less than half of it and was full! It goes without saying that I polished it off! It's a nice space to sit in and service was very good so I'm happy to recommend this place to everyone out there!

Got here late at night when doing a quick stop over in Liverpool. Cool place with interesting decor, friendly staff and great food. They kept the kitchen open for a few minutes to make me a burger and fries. The fries were perfectly made crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside with just the right amont of salt, the burger was fresh and well prepared, very tasty and juicy patties that well exceeded my expectation for a late night meal. Had some pints and some great conversations with staff and other patrons, really a great place to visit. Heard it is the best place for breakfast in Liverpool. Go on, spoil yourself, pop in for a great meal and a pint!!!

Nipped in here for some food when the cafes around were full or we were left waiting to be seated. The food was outstanding and the service was great. Next time we won’t bother with the other places and make a beeline for The Tavern! Recommend the small plates - had halloumi sticks, bacon and cheese potato skins and chicken and bacon skewers and they were all phenomenal. The skewers in particular were delicious and even the potato skins, which I expected them to be frozen and heated, were full of bacon and delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. Only downside was it was a bit noisy - but it quietened down after a while.

I had a lovely breakfast while waiting for my train. Although I didn’t have a reservation, they were kind enough to accommodate me as I was dining solo. I ordered the hash stack with and a matcha latte and two additional sausages. The portion size of the hash stack was bigger than I expected! Two people could definitely share it. The latte was nice but on the warm side rather than piping hot. The gentleman who greeted me at the door was very friendly along with the girl who served me. The interior was beautifully decorated with a Bohoo chic garden theme. Overall a great first time experience in Liverpool.

Amazing place,we had not made a reservation so we were very lucky to get a table, service was professional and friendly place was spotlessly clean tables where cleaned straight away when guests left. We ordered the full English breakfasts they came and were piping hot and presented very pleasing to the eye! Fully enjoyed the food and the young guy who served us made the whole experience! The one thing that I was shocked at was the toilet when I went to use it a female member of staff had used it and sadly did not clean up after herself before she had left which after eating wonderful food made my stomach turn! 🙁

we chose this place as for our breakfast/brunch because heard good things about it and it was a good choice. we had a suitcase with us and it was busy inside so, we sat outside. when we ordered we got told they don’t do pancakes outside? but do the french toast, which was very confusing because aren’t what makes the pancakes different that they aren’t allowed to serve them outside? the french toast however was out of this world, huge pieces of toast and it was played beautifully. the breakfast bagel was also quite good. would definitely come here again

The Botanist Albert Dock is a pirate-themed bar and restaurant located in the vaulted basement of Liverpool's Royal Albert Dock. It offers a unique experience with rum cocktails, deli boards, BBQ meats, and an immersive atmosphere. The venue is known for its signature Hanging Pancake Kebab and live music performances on a dedicated stage area. Guests can enjoy the beautiful greenery installations and hand-painted artwork while savoring their meals in a secret garden setting.
Set in the stunning surrounds of The Albert Dock, The Botanist is a visual treat—rustic décor, warm lighting, and the kind of ambiance that makes you want to order everything on the menu… twice. The highlight? The hanging kebabs. Absolute showstoppers. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and dripping in flavour (literally—watch that garlic butter drizzle like edible theatre). They’re as fun to eat as they are to photograph. Service was top-notch, especially from Bobby, who brought big smiles, solid recommendations, and just the right amount of banter. It’s the kind of service that elevates a meal into an experience—Bobby deserves a raise and a hanging kebab of his own. Now, the only misstep? The 8-ounce steak. Cooked well, but a little too fatty for the price point. At a place that nails presentation and vibe, you’d expect a leaner cut or a bit more finesse for what you're paying. That said, drinks were inventive, desserts tempting, and the views over the dock? Chef’s kiss. It’s a great spot for date night, group dinners, or just treating yourself with a side of atmosphere.

Bought the afternoon tea voucher on Wowcher. It was £29 for an afternoon tea set for 2 with two cocktails as well. I absolutely love this afternoon tea because it is different. Not a huge fan of traditional British afternoon tea as they are mainly sandwiches, scones and cakes only, too sweet for me. Prefer more savoury food items like this one. Beef sliders, onion rings, cheesy tots, chicken tenders are perfect finger food, great for kids and adults and everyone. Staff is attentive, met my dietary requirements of no chocolate. Drinks are delicious as well and of great variety! Will definitely come back. Highly recommend here if you are near the docks in Liverpool!

Tonight we were served by Dionne, she was brilliant. We had two allergies on our table and she dealt with them easily and made us feel very at ease when ordering. She was extremely attentive checking if everything was okay and if we needed more drinks. Brilliant service and a brilliant atmosphere. 10/10

We had a cocktail class with Rhys, he was amazing! So funny and welcoming, would 100% recommend. I'm also coeliac and all the staff were so accommodating with both food and drinks.

Been here a few times, good selection of drinks and good atmosphere. The service however, is quite horrific. My partner and I sat at a table and decided to order to the table via the app. 15 minutes pass before we questioned where our drinks where, to which we was told they would be another 10 minutes. We waited overall 30 minutes for drinks. We planned to stay here the rest of the night but with service so slow and staff so inattentive decided against it.

We visited days ago in the morning. They are quite full and long queue while the waitresses still able to arrange seat quicklyand politely. We sat outside and running rush for the open day of University, while they can pick and deliver our order quick, sweetly check in advanced. The efficiency, smartness and politeness are seldom found now. Not to mention, the fluffy pancake, full breakfast and smoothies are awesome. The handwritten “Thank you” note on the receipt further elevates our satisfaction. Definitely will come again next time to Liverpool~~

Get there early! Its no secret how good this place is, we arrived just in time as there was one couple ahead of us and within 5 mins around 12-15 people behind us waiting for a table. Once seated the food came out quickly and the service was excellent, outside the queue continued to grow! The food was perfect, and great value for money... what you see in the photos along with 2 teas came to £32.10. 5 stars all day long! Probably the best breakfast I've had in Liverpool.

Lovely café / restaurant located on Dale Street. Busy and popular so we had to wait for around 5 minutes for a table. Friendly and accommodating staff, excellent menu with various options and delicious food and coffee. Highly recommended!

Group of 11, requiring gluten free meal for 1 of us. They were very busy but greeted us outside and explained they would sort us a table. They did two tables for us which was fine. The food was hot and fresh and wasn’t greasy, it was one of the best English breakfast I have had in a long time. The coffee was lovely and also hot. They served a glass of ice water without any prompt with a raspberry & 🍋 slice. The staff were extremely busy but were happy and pleasant and accommodating. They heard we were celebrating 2 birthdays so even bought out a tray of beautiful chocolate mini cupcakes, they were warm yummy for no charge. Wish it was more local so I could visit again! The pancakes looked amazing and so did the juices ! Well done, you’ve really got the customer service spot on! Well done ladies !

Really nice venue, delicious fresh, well presented food. Staff is very attentive and welcoming. Came twice it was that good. Will definitely visit again when in Liverpool. Thanks to the chefs 👨‍🍳

Service was good. The food was tasty. The price for Liverpool wasn't bad. I had the breakfast, and my wife had a chicken wrap. Portions on the whole were good, especially what my wife had. The only issue I had with the breakfast was the sausages. Although not bad, had better. They were small. A niggle I suppose, and some will hate me for it most probably. The wife's was very tasty and a decent portion. I had to do the husbandly thing and help her finish it. Apart from that little bit of fussyness from myself, and just my opinion, it was a lovely little caff with lovely staff, and I would definitely recommend it.

Went there for my friends hen party. The food and drinks were brilliant! Great atmosphere and the staff were absolutely amazing and really kind. I definitely recommend !

My friend booked for us both to attend today as she has previously been, we may of well had been invisible today had to ask after approximately 15 minutes of being there for our first drink, which became reoccurring throughout the 90 minutes a total of 4 drinks, around us the drinks were flowing for all when I had to ask again and the server came over her attitude brought an atmosphere I understand everyone works hard in there but we are all paying customers! Plus points great music and atmosphere and hot food! Ps the the aperol spritz was spot on !!
Rebecca T — Google review
We had a booking for 1930. Despite, arriving on time, checking in, it took until 20:00 to be seated. This is the second time I have visited and have been late to be seated. Once seated late, it took a further 10 minutes for us to have someone attend to us and take our drinks order. The attendant was informed that 2 out of the 5 of us were for alcohol free bottomless dining. The drinks service was not great, and we had to constantly attract attention to order drinks. Food arrived and was good. Onto the bill, upon receiving the outstanding bill, despite being advised that 2 people were for alcohol free bottomless dining, all drinks had been put through and charged as alcohol. I questioned this with the attendant at the till who's attitude was shocking and was telling me all drinks were alcohol and she could kot change it. I told her to go and get the guy who had been taking our orders as I wasn't paying the bill without it being changed as it was incorrect. The guy eventually came and clarified that we had had 2 alcohol free. I was also appalled that a service charge had been added automatically and had this removed. Not the best experience, awful customer service, good food.

Lovely place for bottomless brunch. Service was great, Alfie was really attentive. Maybe more variety on the cocktails for brunch available but thats the only feedback!
Viki — Google review
This unique catering establishment is known for its “bottomless” dining sessions, where diners have a limited set of drinks they can re-order for a set period of time. The food menu is quite limited too but the club vibe is good with loud music and the occasional introduction of a live saxophone player playing on top of the partitions between booths. So the experience overall is good and I would go there again. The mini burgers were great, but the flat iron seared beef strips were chewy. The crew serving us were nice too, but unless you’re into prosecco, it’s not great value

Really enjoyed this spot for brunch! We came in without a reservation as a party of 6 and they were happy to serve us on the lounge chairs. Overall the design of the space is unique and gorgeous, and serves well for brunch and evening cocktails. Don’t miss out on this one on your next visit to Liverpool!

We really enjoyed our visit to the Cosy Club. The decor is interesting and atmospheric. Service is very good and the food was lovely. I tried the Chorizo Hash. This was the most unusual breakfast I had ever had but it was very tasty! My wife had sourdough toast which was the polar opposite to what I got but she loved it. The coffee is really good too. We will be revisiting very soon!

Really fancied a nice pot of simple English tea, so came here. The tea was great, while here I got breakfast, salmon,Avocado and eggs on toast. The eggs were abit undercooked for my liking but everything else was nice...very good bread. Excellent decor and very nice service too... would happily return again to sample more of the menu
Miss C — Google review
The restaurant was nicely decorated. The food was just OK, the fish fillet and sauce was good but the steak was very tough and difficult to chew! It felt veiny and the food just ruined the nice atmosphere the restaurant had. The service was slacking, place was very empty but still no one to bring you to your table despite the “wait to be seated” sign. As we tried to get our own seats, finally did they mind and stopped us from grabbing our own seats. They made us wait next to a sea of empty tables, then they left to handle some other dishes before finally seating us. We did not feel respected at all. But it was fine, we came for the pictures and never coming back here again.
Moon C — Google review
The food was good, not exceptional, the salad was just ok, the seafood linguini was better. The veggie burger was great. They do need to add a bit more ice cream to the desserts that come with one small scoop to balance them out. There was one person behind the bar who took the order and seemed a bit lost, possibly new at the job, but the others were efficient and the service was friendly overall. I am giving 5 stars mainly for the atmosphere and seating which lives up to its name. Dog friendly too.
D K — Google review

It's a very well situated place in the centre of liverpool, we went there for dinner and also had some coctails. And I have to say that it was really good but the best of this restaurant was the waitress Vincienza. She was tremendously attentive and kind with us during the time we stayed there. Honestly we could feel as we were at home. We loved the deco and music, also we could enjoy a relax moment after dinner in the comfy couches having some drinks.

Additionally, they have a special offer on juicy burgers from Monday to Wednesday between 12 pm and 3 pm.
Had such a great afternoon in Brewdog Liverpool today. Came in to use a burger and beer flight voucher for my husband’s birthday but stayed longer because we were having such a lovely afternoon. The beer and the food were delicious and the service from Sam, the barman, was second to none. From serving the food to informing us about the different beers, he was warm, friendly and helpful and really helped to make a special afternoon even better. Would definitely recommend popping in for a visit. Warning - you may just spend the whole day here. 😊🥰

Brilliant bar featuring a wide range of BrewDog and guest drinks. Including and not limited to Lager, IPA, Sour beers, Fruit beers, Ales, Stout, Vodka, Gin, soft drinks. A huge variety of draught taps means there's always something new to try. They also feature events such as Oktoberfest and collabfest which gives a brilliant opportunity to try even more. The staff are super friendly, notably Brad, Luke, Ben, Lou who are always on hand to help with whatever questions you have. The food is nice and especially cheap on Wednesdays when they offer an unlimited wings Wednesdays (must be booked online). Very child and family friendly and they offer kids meals with colouring books and board games to play whilst here. Overall a fantastic bar and I'd definitely recommend a visit!

A really great place in Liverpool! The beer selection is excellent, and the quality is top-notch. I especially enjoyed the burgers – probably the best I’ve had in Liverpool so far. The bartender deserves a special mention: very kind, attentive, and helpful. He was happy to recommend and explain things, and even when our order took a bit longer than expected, he offered us a beer on the house as a kind gesture. That really made a difference. Another nice bonus is that you can get a free beer by signing up for the membership, which adds extra value. The only area for improvement is the toilets – they could be cleaned and maintained more thoroughly. Overall, fantastic experience, great food and drinks, and excellent service. I will definitely be coming back!

Booked for a 70th party for our dad, pre order was required but that was expected and on arrival food arrived after about 30 mins. Table of 11 so by time we had drinks etc that just worked out really well. Staff were attentive give, atmosphere was great and service spot on too. Really enjoyed the evening. Special thanks to Lily who organised the pre order and booking process.

Not much more to say than the food was great, but the service was terrible. It took no time to be seated, as the place was practically empty, and the host was very friendly, but it went sharply down hill from there. It took forever to get someone to take our order, we asked for wine — it took ages to come, and then when it did, it came twice — two separate servers brought it separately, about two minutes apart. We told the second that we had already received our wine, and he seemed less than pleased. They were out of one of the items we selected for the charcuterie board — no big deal — but odd, given it was so early in the evening. Our selections took a while to arrive, but were delicious (the calamari was amazing), but then we saw NO ONE for ages. Finally had our server back and asked for coffee and another glass of wine for my partner — wine came, coffee didn’t. Partner finished his wine and we gave up on the coffee, asked for the bill — shortly after which the coffee came — lukewarm. It had clearly been sitting somewhere waiting to be delivered to our table. Overall, not the most terrible experience I’ve had in a restaurant, but not the best, either, especially when there is so much else to choose from on the same street. Would probably try again, perhaps on a different day of the week and at a different time of day to see if that made a difference in the service, and it would be worth going back for the calamari, but with expectations of poor service so that any improvement would be a pleasant surprise.
Tracy R — Google review
For me, it is the best Spanish food restaurant in Liverpool. The dishes were amazing, everything very tasty and well prepared. The place was well decorated, inviting. The service was great, all servers were very friendly. The only issue was the price, we thought it was a bit expensive given the portion sizes. Apart from that we really recommend it! We will be back! Thank you! 🇪🇸❤️❤️❤️

Without doubt the best Spanish food I've tasted outside Spain. Excellent tasty and beautifully presented. Great staff. Really genuine friendly service. Pricing spot on unlike the other Spanish tapas place down the Hill 🌒. We would be happy to bring anyone visiting from Spain (there's not many places you'd say that about). We had three dishes each then re-ordered twice more because it was so good. Beautiful wine as well. Our visit here will definitely motivate us to return to Liverpool sooner rather than later.

Haven’t been here since it moved location and I have to say that it’s much better! The new location is much cozier with better decor + atmosphere. Food has also improved with the tortilla now being made fresh every time. Loved the courgette flower but I would like to see more vegetarian options - maybe croquettes or something similar. Would have ordered more food but ran out of things to order!

Fantastic Tapas restaurant! The atmosphere and decor are super cool and the food was out of this world. Great service too - very welcoming. We loved it!

Nice place ,decor etc Food average. Gambas pil pil, no hot sizzling oil with garlic, no sizzle at all and about 5 prawns which were ok. Calamari was ok. Patatas bravas ok. One bug bear is when they take your glass and you've not finished. Didn't even ask just swiped it away! We did complain and they begrudgingly replaced it. Very expensive for bang average food and drink. Much better tapas eateries in town

Really great food, Machego croquets special were to die for, beef short rib, cauliflower and harissa chicken all great too. Prawns pil pil was a little bit too fishy so this was the only one we didn’t finish. Service we can’t complain not the most attentive, but only small numbers of staff so did a great job. Nice surroundings to eat and drink a very pleasant atmosphere.

Tough one for me, this. I would say absolutely go for the pistachio cannoli, as it was incredible. Like the best I've had in this city by a clear mile. The staff member who served us was wonderful too. Didn't get her name but she was great. We had some issues. They "only had one lasagne" and it's not like there's many other mains to choose from. But also how can you only have one lasagne? Bread and olives felt a bit stingy in the portion size too. A handful of olives and two slices of sourdough cut in half to make four. £6.50? The men's toilet door does not lock, and there was pee everywhere. May have been bad timing but it just wasn't a great experience. All in all, no rush to go back at those prices. We spent £30 each on two drinks, some bread, and a starter.

Exceptional Bagels!!! Make every effort you can to stop here when in Liverpool, by far the best bagels I have had in the UK!!! And the selection is incredible, from the types and flavours of bagels to the fillings!! DO NOT JUST WALK PAST, STOP AND ENJOY. We stopped for breakfast and I still can't stop thinking about them. I ordered the cream cheese and smoked salmon on and Dill and pickle bagel, this was my far the most superior cream cheese and salmon bagel I have ever had, full of flavour and they didn't skimp on the fillings. We also got the mega stack on a everything bagel, and this is the one after a night in town. Crispy bacon, sausage patty, hash browns and cheese sauce, absolutely delectable 🤤 and the everything bagel was superb!!! This is a propa bagel, springy to the feel, has that nostalgic chew that a bagel should have and they taste incredible, honestly the best I've had in a long time!! The coffee was really good, strong and full of flavour, just what you need in the morning and the service was spectacular, so friendly and full of smiles 😁 i can't wait to get back already!!!

Really cool little place. It was a bit of a walk from where we were staying and a little out of the way but was certainly worth the trip! Great choice for breakfast and the bagels were delicious. Soft and chewy, the perfect texture and great flavour. Loaded with good quality, tasty fillings and the salted tots were an absolute delight! Really friendly service too and we didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks. Would highly recommend and we would definitely visit again whenever we are back in Liverpool

Absolutely gorgeous food and the loveliest staff ever. The lady with black hair who was in on 22nd of Oct 2025 brought me so much joy! It feels very welcoming in here! Thought id treat myself after passing my theory test and come in to eat as id only ever uber ordered it a couple years ago. Safe to say its even more delicious than i remember it!! Also if you are a student make use of their wed & thursday £10 deals, so so good.

The Bagelry is well worth a trip if you’re looking for bagels or bagel sandwiches in Liverpool. Getting good bagels outside the US is nearly impossible, but these were easily on the level of a NY bagel shop. Prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for! Visited twice during my 6-week stay in Liverpool, but I wish I had gone more. Great spot!

*** 6 STARS *** An outstandingly friendly place with delicious bagels of all types (most but not all veggie/vegan), doughnuts (all vegan) and coffees. Tots to die for :-) Fair prices and a great atmosphere. What more can you say? Come now!

Came for lunch on a warm day. Got a takeaway to go sit in a nearby park. Wow. They were so good and so full and filling. We both only managed half. Such a shame we live nearly 3 hours away, but perhaps a good thing or I would be eating here daily 🤤🤤

A really popular bagel shop, a short walk from Chinatown. Really delicious food, good balanced flavours and the bagel was really nice. Staff were super nice and the atmosphere seemed good. I was really disappointed in the portion size though, the sandwich I got seemed really empty compared to those I saw whilst waiting in the restaurant and in pictured reviews here. For £8.75, I expected it to fill me up a bit more, really feels like I've been ripped off there. Disappointing ☹️

BoBo is a trendy Iberian wine bar and cafe in Liverpool, offering a taste of Portugal and Spain. On weekends, they host a bottomless brunch featuring unlimited traditional sangria, prosecco, and bottled beers. The menu boasts European delights like bocadillos, potato tortillas, and iconic Portuguese custard tarts. For a more casual dining experience in Liverpool, visitors can explore the city's cozy cafes or head to Liverpool ONE for shopping and diverse dining options.
Beautiful bottomless tapas & sangria however service was a bit slow to begin with & they made us leave before our 2 hour period was up. Our reservation was 5 & they made us leave by 6.45. The table we was seated at was a high uncomfortable chairs aswell right by the toilets where people almost knocked our food… you can see the board hanging over the table on the picture. Still overall I would rate 5 star but hopefully management will read and take this feedback on board.

Came for a snack while strolling. Can't go wrong with a basic tapas. If one is coming for a main meal, then this really isn't the place. This is a proper tapas bar. The food is wonderful, but it's meant to be eaten with good friends over conversations transpiring over a long stretch. We came in during a stroll and it was way too early. And ordered the mix sharing platter. All well done and appointed. I will be back when it's not so early in the day and there are more people with me. I have walked past in the late evenings and it it's a hopping little place. This is a solid recommendation to go and enjoy!

One of the best bottomless brunches I have had. The drinks / cocktails where perfect. We didn’t have a bad one. Leanne was a great host and nothing was too much trouble her knowledge on the drinks and friendly nature really made the visit 10/10

We hosted a company event at Bobo yesterday and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The atmosphere was vibrant yet professional, the staff were incredibly attentive, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The food and drinks were excellent, and the space was perfect for both networking and relaxing. A huge thank you to the team at Bobo for helping us create a memorable evening — highly recommended for corporate gatherings or private events!

Lovely breakfast place in central Liverpool. Service was really good and we didn't have to wait long for food or drinks. I got the Reuben Benedict as I am a big fan of sauerkraut. The flavour was incredible, and I was tempted to get seconds! The eggs were poached to perfection and the whole plate was well balanced. The orange juice was freshly squeezed rather than carton poured. The Strawberry Fields smoothie was nice and refreshing too, although I would have preferred it to have a bit more of a strawberry kick to it. For what we got the price was very good, so I highly recommend Brunchin' for a spot of breakfast!

The coffee was average, nothing special but the croissant was absolutely amazing! Honestly, one of the best croissants in Liverpool. A must-try, especially the Nutella one it was just too good! Would definitely go back just for that croissant.

Lovely food & atmosphere. Quick, friendly service. Tasty and well presented food. Slight downside was the background noise of someone watching sport on their phone in the bar area (possibly a member of staff) throughout our visit. Took a little while to get our bill too

Incredible small plates served in a beauty of a restaurant. Great staff and tempting wine list. 3 small plates for £19.95 - they are a generous size too. Sharing boards available to eat in their summer terrace paired with a spritz ! Perfect

We were very excited to try this restaurant as it is has a stylish interior and really good reviews - we booked on First Table so got 50% off. I’m glad we did because if I paid full price, I would’ve been really disappointed. All the food just lacked flavour - the fries needed more salt and pepper seasoning. The prawns needed more garlic - the focaccia bread was kind of like toast 🍞. The baby squid which is £9.50 usually came to the table and there were only five pieces on the plate - the batter was again lacking flavour. At the end of our meal, when we were trying to get a waiter’s attention, lots of the staff were on their phones at the bar laughing with each other. It just didn’t feel like the luxury experience advertised.

What a wonderful place. Started off with a wonderful pint of off menu Camden IPA. I was thinking the rib was going to be the star, and it was superb, but the star was the genius twist on the humble scotch egg, an Nduja wrapped scotch egg, quite outstanding. Service, ambience just top class. Our first visit but it won't be our last, thanks to all the team.

We went for the Sunday with Sides at lunchtime, which is their roast and small plates sides. There was a good selection of different meats with our table choosing lamb and the pork. The roast itself was a good portion. Meat and roast potatoes were excellent. The Yorkshires were also great! Then onto the sides… our choices included the mash, parsnips, nduja cauli cheese and pigs in blankets. These were all great. We were all too full for dessert, but did manage a cocktail that we enjoyed in the bar area. All of the staff were excellent and the restaurant had a great ambiance. For me this was a real stand out roast in Liverpool City Centre and I look forward to going back!

The small plates format is great if you’re on your own because you can try a handful of dishes. I was very pleased with my order- the broccoli and the jenga chips with tge calamari and the sea bass on courgettes. All very masterful

My favourite place for breakfast/lunch, will never go anywhere else!! Staff are always so lovely and attentive, and service is really quick. We were served by Molly and Adam today and the customer service was 10/10. Finally getting around to reviewing probably my favourite places to eat in Liverpool. Short answer: Amazing food, price, service and vibes!!! A must visit in my opinion. Long answer: I moved down to Liverpool from Edinburgh last year and someone recommended Minna to me. Lark Lane in general is amazing so I loved the whole experience, I tried the french toast and it was honestly one of the best things I have tried in a VERY long time. As a vegetarian its very veggie and vegan friendly which I love. I have been a regular customer at Minna and every experience has been a great one. What I love is the menu is not static and changes with the seasons and it keeps me excited to see new things appear. It is not overly expensive which is great with being a uni student. The staff are super friendly and it is clear that they all work as a family together which makes Minna feel like a slice of home. I am a Minna stan through and through! I can also say I bring all my friends and family who come to visit me to Minna and they have the same love for it as I do.

Was great fun and a brilliant place to spend some time with friends. Only downside was we waited a very long time for someone to come to the front desk even though we showed up 15 minutes before as advised on the booking. Other than that though a really good time was had by everyone.
Robyn R — Google review
It's a normal place with a pleasant atmosphere. But the prices for food and drinks are very high. I do not recommend cocktails, they are similar to water, they are very expensive. Probably, you can only drink beer. But if your student ID is not ready yet, then I advise you not to go to this place. It's too expensive without a student ID. With a student discount, prices are the same as everywhere else.

Got to an hour later and there was people who was here after us 30 minutes later and got there food first. Staff was brilliant to get it sorted but the organisation of getting first orders done first needs to be better.

We had an amazing time here! The place is huge, plenty of tables and or space at the bar so enjoy your drinks and food either before or after some games. We booked two lanes and went with some friends from work, great bonding activity compared to the boring meals somewhere else. They also have a pool table. Food was good as well, and so were the cocktails – which are £5 each at the moment, if you go during happy hour.

Leaf is a restaurant and cafe which focuses on having an excellent brunch selection with delicious pastries. We were looking for something quick to eat and were shocked to that there were vegan pastries in Leaf! This is fairly rare so we had to try them out, we were not disappointed. We tried the strawberry croissant and the blueberry danish. They were both delicious! The buttercream on the crossiant was silky and sweet, matching perfectly with the crunch pastry. The danish had a tart blueberry jam centre with the lemon drizzle icing. Along with this we also had a coffee which was powerful. Overall definitely recommend Leaf for coffee and pastries but will need to come back to try their food.

Popped down today for a pudding club event for my mother's birthday. Unfortunately the event had been cancelled and changed to another day which we were not aware of (no fault of the staff, it appears an email was sent in good time but lost within my spam folder). The woman who greeted us was wonderful, speaking to the event manager immediately and coming to a solution. We were also given a complimentary round of birthday cocktails which were lovely. A* customer service.

I went here with my husband and daughter for a treat on a Monday, but sadly it was really disappointing. I ordered the full breakfast — it arrived cold. My daughter had pancakes and buttered chicken; we asked for the sauces on the side, but it came covered in sauce, and the chicken pieces were frozen. It was terrible. My husband ordered the steak and eggs, and honestly, I’ve never seen anything like it. The steak was cut into strips and cooked with mushrooms and onions, so it ended up boiled and flavourless, with two sloppy eggs on top. It was also very expensive, which I wouldn’t have minded if the food was good — but honestly, it was vile. We’ll never go back.

3 of us enjoyed some really nice food but a little pricey for a salad. Nice cocktails and strawberry lemonade. Service was a bit slow and it took a while to get anyone's attention to order more drinks. The cakes for dessert looked nice but we didn't have any.

Coffee shop
Mother Espresso is a charming neighborhood cafe located just off Bold Street in Liverpool. The cozy venue offers a delightful menu featuring items like the One Hander, pear, cider, and cinnamon doughnuts, and an array of inspired coffee options including home-brew coffee liqueur with espresso martini. It's a great spot to grab a bite to eat while enjoying beverages such as sencha green tea or brew filter coffee.
Tucked away in the heart of Liverpool, Mother Espresso is a hidden gem for coffee lovers and brunch enthusiasts alike. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly reminded me of the cozy, independent coffee shops back in Oregon. The minimalist yet welcoming decor, combined with soft, calming music, created the perfect setting to unwind. I ordered a filter coffee, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The freshly brewed cup carried vibrant fruity notes, striking the perfect balance between richness and brightness—clearly showcasing the skill and passion behind their coffee selection. It was smooth, full-bodied, and one of the best I’ve had in a long time. To complement my coffee, I went for the scrambled egg and cheese on toast, and it was simply delightful. The eggs were cooked to perfection—creamy, fluffy, and rich in flavor—paired beautifully with the crispy, well-toasted bread. The melted cheese added an indulgent touch, making it a comforting and satisfying choice. Beyond the food and coffee, what truly sets Mother Espresso apart is its vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy the moment, and truly appreciate the art of good coffee. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful spot to work, catch up with friends, or simply savor a quality brew, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be coming back—highly recommended!

Lots of choice for coffee and food. Till is located upstairs, also good to note that the specials board is hung up at the top, which would have been better if it was made more aware of as there was items on there that I would have loved to have tried. Having said that I got the onion and cheese toasties which was delicious and reminiscent of French onion soup! Tried the reuben toastie which was also a good choice! Matcha latte was made well and not disappointed!

Nice coffee! Best banana bread I’ve had in a VERY long time. Our takeaway coffee took a lil bit to come out which unfortunately gave us lots of time to look at the ceiling which is quite dirty… lots of black (hopefully) dust hanging off the ceiling and the wires which is hanging above the coffee machine, cakes stand and where the food is being served from. Very lovely place but the cleanliness stressed me out a little.

Really lovely spot for a coffee and a bit of laptop work. Hidden down an alley parallel to Bold Street. Staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is very inviting and cool, lighting is warm, music is immaculate (Chet Baker!). The food looked lovely and the coffee was well prepared and delicious.

It's not the liveliest place i've ever been, felt like we had to whisper as it's mostly people working in there; but the coffee is unreal and the bagels/sweet treats were goooods.

Mother Espresso, nicely tucked away from the chaotic foot traffic of Bold Street, is a welcome retreat for any coffee enthusiast. I thoroughly enjoy working here, as the atmosphere is welcoming and it has many seats to ensure availability. On that topic, my only feedback would be suggesting some cushions as the seats are quite uncomfortable.

Ezra & Gil - Castle Street is a delightful café that has been charming locals since its inception in Manchester in 2014. With a mission to create a beloved neighborhood spot, this eatery serves an array of mouthwatering breakfast options, from classic bacon butties to innovative nduja scrambled eggs. Guests rave about the warm and welcoming atmosphere, where friendly staff ensure you feel right at home as soon as you walk through the door.
On a sunny and warm Saturday brunch I chose to try here. I have been trying to eat here for a bit, but I seem to only walk by when full ... Yup that's a good sign on its own. I wasn't let down. I had pancakes with chorizo hash halloumi. Drizzled with real maple syrup. The wonderful brunch option went well with my very spicy bloody Mary. We also had the Cesar salad. Which my partner said was well flavoured.

I paid £14 for a meal that was barely worth £8, what an absolute joke! I ordered the Smashed Pumpkin on Sourdough Toast and specifically told the waiter about my avocado allergy. He reassured me there was no avocado, so I trusted him. When I went to the cashier, I asked about the ingredients and while the menu listed everything, it didn’t mention (oil) yet I’m also allergic to oil. I only found out afterwards that the dish did, in fact, contain it. They replaced my order with something that supposedly avoided my allergies, but what I received was bland, dry and utterly tasteless not even a pinch of salt! They didn’t even put a salt in the bag! To make things worse, this “alternative” dish was worth no more than £8, yet I had already paid £14. Talk about daylight robbery! I took it as a takeaway, only to take one bite before throwing it straight into the bin, it was simply inedible. The whole experience was a complete disaster.. (I was delayed, made to feel dismissed and left hungry before an important appointment). This was hands down the worst food I’ve ever had in my life. I will never return and I will make sure none of my friends ever waste their time or money here.

Summer vibes in full swing at Ezra & Gil on Castle Street! Their outdoor terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy the sunshine, and the July specials are a must-try — especially the new Iced Dubai Chocolate. We stopped by for brunch and loved everything: 🥓 The Classic E&G Breakfast with streaky bacon was spot on 🍳 The Reuben Eggs Benedict was something different and delicious 🥐 Couldn’t resist the Raspberry Croissant and Pain au Chocolat — both fresh and flaky! The space is bright, airy, and perfect for people-watching with a coffee or catching up over brunch. With wide bi-folding doors and a chilled summer vibe, Ezra & Gil is definitely one of the best hangouts in the area right now. Highly recommend! One of my favourite places for brunch in Liverpool!

Everything was perfect, staff was really nice and they were very friendly. The coffee was delicious, way better than Turkish coffee shops. The sandwich was basic but really tasty you cant really find this kind of coffee shops in turkey. I guess the price was normal and average. Overall everything was perfect thank you again for everything. If i come to Liverpool again my first destination for breakfast & brunch is Ezra& Gil🙏🏻

Lovely little place for breakfast. Staff were lovely, you order at the counter and pay there and they bring the food out. The food was okay. We ordered a kinder and strawberries pancake, scrambled eggs on toast, Iced caramel latte and a matcha latte. The pancakes were too sweet and the eggs on toast was salty. But still an okay brunch spot.

What a great surprise to find such a great restaurant right next to our hotel. We really enjoyed our breakfast. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience even better!

Indian restaurant
Mowgli Street Food Bold Street is a casual Indian restaurant located in Liverpool, founded by Nisha Katona who left her career as a barrister to share her heritage and mother's cooking with the masses. The restaurant offers an authentic experience of Indian street food, combining tapas-style dining with vibrant flavors.
Visited Mowgli in Liverpool and honestly? 10/10 would eat my way through that chef’s choice sharer menu all over again. Every dish was bursting with flavour, the perfect mix of spice, comfort, and street food magic. The staff were super friendly, helpful, and clearly love what they do, which made the whole experience even better. We didn’t have to make a single decision (bless you, chef’s choice), and still ended up with a feast. It’s not just dinner, it’s a whole vibe. If you're in Liverpool and want Indian food that feels fresh, fun, and full of soul, Mowgli’s your place.

Anna our server was really lovely and super helpful. My wife and I shared 4 dishes with 3 accompaniments. The food was exceptional and was a pallet explosion of delicious flavours. The venue was smaller than other Mowglis we have been to before and it had a lovely atmosphere.

Booked for food before the theatre and had a great time. Brilliant warm welcome as we arrived. Straight to our table, great recommendation from the colleague and good choice. Food was delicious and served piping hot washed down with tall cocktails. Overall a lovely street food meal and will definitely be back.

Amazing! I don’t normally use that word when I’m reviewing meals for I’ve eaten. I ate there in early evening last Thursday. While the street and other restaurants weren’t crowded, Mowgli’s was full and I had to eat at the window bar. There are 4 seats there and two were taken. My only complaint about my experience at Mowgli’s is related to eating at this space. I had no place to put my coat. Sitting on a bar type chair, with my coat on my lap and a napkin to keep my lap and the coat clean was a bit of a balancing act. I eventually used the seat next to me for my coat, but that seat should be for a customer. There is a small nook on other end of the this bar area where a few hooks could be added to improve the customer experience. My food and server were great! The timing of the food and presentation were perfect. If someone forced me, I would say that the Temple Dahl was my favorite, but it was all so delicious. Great combination of flavors that made me want to keep eating long past being full. My meal was Mother Butter Chicken, Temple Dahl, Roti, and Basmati Rice. I had the Yoghurt Chat Bombs as an appetizer. The waiter suggested them and he was spot on! They are delicate so you must place the whole thing in your mouth at one time, no little bite here. What an explosion in my mouth. At first I thought it was too spicy hot, but the coolness of the yogurt perfectly balanced the heat. The flavor combination in this appetizer is perfection! Make sure you reserve a table if you want to eat here, and you want to eat here!!

All gorgeous and great and more then the bear necessities 😀. Service was quick to seat us on a busy Saturday and was very attentive without being intrusive. The food was superb...this was our first time in a Mowgli restaurant as we were dropping our daughter off to Uni of Liverpool so will definitely be trying the one in Birmingham now. Excellent well done all.
A C — Google review
After scanning through recommendations across Google, we decided to get a few items from the menu. Starting with the Yogurt Chat Bombs, we’d suggest eating it in one go. It was an interesting fusion of flavours from the cold yogurt filling combined with chickpeas, tamarind and coriander giving it a slightly spicy kick. Definitely a great item to start with. Moving onto the mains, we got the Mowgli Paneer and the Mother Butter Chicken. We had these with the Roti and Basmati Rice. I’d 100% skip on the Roti, it wasn’t fresh and felt like I was eating a tortilla wrap as opposed to Roti to be honest. Definitely go for the Basmati Rice to accompany dishes as the rice wasn’t dry but worked well with each dish. I’d say if you do come here, come for the curries. Our whole table got the classic Mother Butter Chicken and I understand why. We finished off the Gunpowder Chicken and honestly it felt lacklustre. The chicken felt dry and I would have chosen to go without it if I came back again. To finish off, we got a gulab jamun to share. If you’re looking for a sweet treat, this is definitely something unique to try. We also got some drinks, including The Sherbet which is great if you have a sweet tooth (personally too sweet for me) and the Mango Lassi which is my go-to - it didn’t fail me either so would recommend.

We got the street food sharer and it was spectacular. Food was absolutely delicious, zero notes. What made it great was the service. We were served by Andy and he was great, really attentive, excited about the food, made our experience even better & more enjoyable. We visited during Liverpool restaurant week so got a great deal but we will be back to get the same thing at full price because it was great value for money!!!!

Hanover Street Social is a spacious venue featuring banquettes, bistro tables, and an open kitchen. It offers an eclectic all-day menu and drinks. Every Sunday, the restaurant hosts the Sunday Social, offering traditional roast combinations with classic trimmings. Located near Liverpool One and major attractions like the Albert Dock, it's a convenient brunch spot for tourists.
I had the Honey & Chilli crispy chicken wings, 40oz min Steak & Baileys cheesecake 3 course @£24.95 The chicken wings are one of the best I've had anywhere. Right amount of sweet & spicy, meat juicy n soft, fell right of the wings. Steak & fries were average. Cheesecake was very rich n creamy. Staff were friendly and attentive. I would come back again.

Left a bit disappointed, went with my family on a Sunday afternoon and had 2 courses for £26.95. My son had double Pattie burger which he thoroughly enjoyed, me and my wife had a gammon and roast beef Sunday dinner which was good but nothing spectacular and felt it was very overpriced. Although the service was very good, the restaurant was cold inside which wasn’t very pleasant. I don’t think we will be returning in a hurry which is a shame because we have always enjoyed the Hannover street social.

I’ve been here too many times to count. Yet i have never had one bad experience here. The decor of the restaurant is casual but also welcoming and vibrant. The service has been spot on every time. Helpful and friendly towards its guests. The food is to die for. I do very much recommend the sea bass, hummus and chargrilled pita, pork belly, and the gnocchi. They’re the ones i’ve personally tried, so if they don’t interest you, then they are more options off the menu for you to try. All in all i can’t fault anything about Hanover Street Social. I would most certainly book ahead, as it does get busy between Lunch time and Dinner. Without further ado, i would suggest you come here with friends and family and enjoy the venue.

A Hidden Gem in Liverpool You’ll Want to Revisit" I’ve visited this spot a few times on weeknights, and it’s never disappointed. If you’re heading there with a big group, definitely book ahead — it gets busy (and for good reason!). The staff are warm and welcoming, the portions are generous, and every dish is cooked fresh with flavors that hit just right. On Mondays and Thursdays, they offer an unbeatable deal: two courses and a bottle of wine — excellent value for money. If you go, do yourself a favor and try the honey and chilli glazed wings to start. They’re the kind of starter that makes you pause mid-bite just to say, “Wow.” Whether you’re after a quick bite or a relaxed evening, this is one Liverpool spot worth dropping by again and again.

What great experience in the centre of Liverpool! From the moment we arrived staff were warm and welcoming. The food arrived promptly and was delicious and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was was great in a modern and well-designed restaurant. The toilets were also immaculate. We'll definitely be back!

Avoid on Sunday. If you’re not after Sunday Roast you will pay more for a burger or fish just because it’s Sunday and part of 2/3 course. Absolute scam and I have not seen other restaurants doing this. Also optional tip on the bill is making it awkward when it’s time to pay. Whoever is manager of this place should look into changing these things.

The food at Hanover Street Social is absolutely delicious! The service is outstanding, the prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It’s also family-friendly, so I'll definitely be bringing my friends here for food and drinks next time.

Went for Sunday Lunch yesterday really disappointed food overpriced for the standard my Chicken was awful my daughter’s beef full of fat. Poor man who served us was running around whilst the other staff seemed more interested in setting up new tables whilst we waited 20 mins for our plates to be cleared. We have been here before and it’s always been lovely but give it a miss on a Sunday and go next door cheaper and better quality. We also e-mailed before to ask for a cake for my daughter’s special occasion but they forgot.

The Bastion Restaurant, located within The Shankly Hotel, offers a relaxed atmosphere for enjoying classic British cuisine, cocktails, and wine. It also provides a unique opportunity to explore the history of Liverpool Football Club's renowned manager, Bill Shankly. The restaurant features an impressive menu and delightful afternoon tea options. Additionally, it is known for its incredible Sunday roast with a variety of offerings including a family feast to share.
The Bastion Restaurant and bar is based inside of the Shankly Hotel so is easy to find and is a great place to eat. We couldn't decide where to go for an evening meal so as we were staying at the Shankly decided to eat there, the prices were average for the restaurants in the area and it smelt great. When we went downstairs we were seated immediately and given a drinks menu, and an early bird menu as well as the main one, so we both chose from the early bird. The food came quickly, as did the drinks, and was cooked to perfection, we even managed to get to the sweet section which we don't normally and enjoyed every morsel. So when we went to pay for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 sweet a large wine and a pint of lemonade and orange juice it came to less than £40 as you get 20% discount if staying in the hotel, wow what an absolute bargain. As is the hotel the decor is football related and quirky but not in your face and was an absolute joy. 10/10. Ps just loved the toilets 😍

Absolutely swanky, lovely staff and atmosphere. No space invaders and importantly- delicious food and mocktails as we don't drink..We got a great deal for the Shankley Hotel via Wowcher, which was used. We has a 2 course meal with a cocktail for £30-£40. The setting is beautiful and right in the heart of our great Liverpool city

First of all, I am in no way shape or form a football fan! I came here with my 76 year old mother purely for somewhere to eat close to where we are staying. That being said, the atmosphere is lovely, the memorabilia is actually subtle, tasteful and interesting even for me! The food, well that's another story! Nothing subtle about fantastic food at amazingly good prices. £25 pp for the set menu was more than worth the money. The only mild downside for me personally was the TV screen showing sky sports in the restaurant. I totally get that this is a football themed establishment and the sound was turned down, just a distraction in my own humble opinion, I'm sure most patrons would be perfectly happy. All in all a huge thumbs up from me and mum!

Went for afternoon tea on sat 5/10/24 as a group of 5adults 2children. We had been 2 yrs earlier and it was amazing with food served on little picnic benches. However: to my disappointment, this time - the sandwiches (ham and mustard which tasted spoiled, cheese and onion tasted mediocre, curry wrap very bland and capers on bruscetta which never have I ever been served at afternoon tea??? was vile) were curling a little as if they had been prepped the day before and not stored correctly. The cakes were standard if not basic. Due to this we ordered 2 sets of fries and later on asked for 2 more portions which were not delivered but which wrre added to the bill (which we asked for removal of). Onto the service...the staff were very friendly but considering we had unlimited tea... we had to ask twice for refills and were the only guests in the restaurant for an hour so unsure why staff were not more prompt to offer refill. The atmosphere made it as considering we were alone, they had a DJ and brazilian dancers on and the dancers welcomed my 4 yr old and were happy to chat to her and have photos taken. Unfortunately would not be going back as not worth £20 a head.

My wife and I have just enjoyed an excellent afternoon tea at the Shankly hotel, along with copious amounts of tea and coffee, there was a glass of Prosecco each, a selection of sandwiches, rolls, and wraps, plus an array of mini cakes, topped off with scones, accompanied by jam and cream, well worth the money outlay. All this in a restaurant housed in a beautiful listed building situated in the heart of Liverpool's business quarter, the walls decorated with scores of memorabilia dedicated to the great man's life and career. I would definitely recommend a visit, we were even asked if we required a doggy bag to take home the left-overs, but it wasn't necessary as there was nothing left to take! Oh, and the service was excellent too, quick, without being intrusive. I advise you to treat yourself to a visit in the near future, you won't regret it

We had our booking for 4pm Friday 23rd August 2024. Was really excited to come as I’ve heard great things about the shankly and felt as if it was a luxury to go there, my mum and sister had been the night before and said that it was one of the best meals that they have had and that it was a very personal experience not bombarded with people or a noisy environment. I regret to say that my experience it not what I was expecting and didn’t live up to expectations. The entrance it’s self beautiful so aesthetic, the restaurant the same lit up with lamps and decor it did seem dull very dimmed and the atmosphere the same no other customers in sight no music it was a very awkward atmosphere. Me and my partner arrived 10 minutes before our booking and were sat straight instantly but not in a way I expected we were not shown to our seat or shown the menu just pointed to a table behind a plant and nothing else was said, we sat ourselves and waited for our order to be taken the menu is small but definitely something for everyone being as it is a well known hotel and restaurant I thought that there would be more things in place like water pitchers or clean napkins with every course but there wasn’t, there was training being held while we waited the whole time I would have hated to be in the young women’s shoes who was being trained I mean I don’t know how high there standards are for training new staff but I would have cried if I was her. Or order was taken by a nice young man who told us the soup of the day and gave a brief explanation of the menu before we ordered. We got the spicy sweetcorn soup for starters and beef burger and chicken burger for mains. We waited about 20 minutes for our starter when it came out I was going to be a hit or miss like anything you havnt tried before you don’t know whether you’ll like it, the soup was completely covered in olive oil to the point were it was curdling and splitting the soup and had this thick skin forming on the top every time it was mixed the taste was ok but the texture was just off. Our cocktails were in sort of champagne flutes which I thought was strange as pictures posted have sort of bowl glasses. I felt really awkward trying to take photos I felt like all eyes were on us like some sort of fish in a tank not very relaxing. The mains came out well presented nothing could be said about the beef burger apart from that it was delicious and chips were good. The same with the chicken burger apart from the chicken itself it was sort f grizzly with alot of veins which I don’t particularly like.

First of all: The pink lemonade was stunning! The place has such a cool vibe. Beautiful decorations and friendly, attentive waitresses. Super pet friendly, lots of doggies inside. You can order on the bar or using your phone - registration was super quick and payment almost automatic through apple pay. However, older guests might find it all discomfortable. Food came really quickly, just a couple of minutes after the order. They have a very large menu from snacks to breakfast to soups to homemade food and burgers. A full menu on vegan and another one on gluten free. Kids menu also available and the place takes great care about any allergies you might have. Really, lots of options to everybody - perfect to go with a big group and get everybody happy!

There were new planters for outside, creating a divide between them and other restaurants and this caused a problem for wheelchairs. However, staff were quick to come out with a ramp and an apology. Plenty of wheelchair space inside and accessible toilet. Great range of meals and a separate veggie/vegan and a gluten free one too.

Visited Brasco Lounge, Monday morning at 9am for a breakfast and WOW what a wide choice and what a feast! freshly cooked bacon, fried eggs, sausages, beans, tomato, hash browns, mushroom, black pudding and two slices of toast. The quality of the food is superb as was the fresh coffee. Jay and his staff were polite and attentive. Nothing was too much for them in this beautifully and tastefully decorated restaurant. For its sheer size, quality and more importantly taste this has to be the best value breakfast in Liverpool. The location of this tastefully decorated and homely restaurant is superb. The outside seating give an excellent view of the canal boats entering the Mann Island lock en-route to Liverpools Salthouse Dock moorings. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Key Lime Coffee is a charming independent cafe located near Liverpool's central station, offering a wide range of specialty coffees and an extensive breakfast menu. Despite its location in the St Johns shopping centre, it has become a favorite among locals and visitors due to its diverse drink options and abundant breakfast choices. The cafe also stands out for its variety of milkshake flavors, including the popular peanut butter and jelly option.
While visiting Liverpool, my wife and I arrived absolutely starving and stumbled upon Key Lime Coffee—and we were not disappointed. This cozy spot turned out to be one of the best food experiences we had during our trip. I went for the Key Lime Eggs Scrambler, and my wife ordered the New York Steak and Eggs. Both dishes were flavorful, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The eggs were fluffy and rich, while the steak was tender and juicy, cooked just right. To accompany our meal, we had an American coffee and a cappuccino—both were excellent. The coffee was bold without being bitter, and the cappuccino had a great balance of espresso and foam. As coffee lovers, we really appreciated the quality. What stood out the most was not only the taste of the food but also the care that clearly went into everything served. It’s not easy to find places in Liverpool that combine a welcoming vibe with such high-quality breakfast and brunch options, but Key Lime Coffee nails it. If you're into hearty, delicious food and want a solid coffee to go with it, this is the place to go. We'll definitely be back next time we’re in town. Highly recommended!
Joga G — Google review
Don't waste your time and money being here, they are unorganised and they take ages for a simple Americano, and after all the Americano was awful. Wasted money and time. In reply to the reply below (as we can't create a dialogue): 1- I did not shout, I was chilled and I asked for a refund, which made other people to intervene and rush the coffee preparation 2- You did not apologise, you defended by saying "we are not late it may take upto 10 minutes sometimes" 3- There were no signs saying the girls were trainees, and if that was the case it shows another problem as they were left alone without any supervision

The loveliest of staff, felt welcomed immediately and when we made a mistake when ordering they happily sorted it out for us without a worry :) They let me swap the bacon for hash browns on my plate which I appreciated a lot. I was expecting it to be busy since it’s right next to Liverpool Lime Street Station however it wasn’t! Food was delicious and loved sitting outside in the glorious weather - especially with my nice mango smoothie! My mum couldn’t finish her food and they offered us a box so we could take it home - which she absolutely did as she really enjoyed it! Love Lane Brewery, Bar and Kitchen is a renovated rubber factory turned into an 18,000 hectolitre brewery in Liverpool's Baltic Triangle. It celebrates the city's rich brewing history and offers an impressive collection of beers and gins. Visitors can take a tour on weekends to learn about the beer-making process and enjoy samples along the way.
Food was delicious. I'll definitely make a return here. Sirloin Steak Roast dinner, and desserts for £23 per person. I recommend the sticky toffee pudding, but the chocolate fondant with ice cream was a close runner up.

As a wedding photographer who loves a good city wedding, I also love when my couples choose a venue that they'll feel comfortable in as well as somewhere they can have a great party. Love Lane Brewery is somewhere that guests will be familiar with, so they instantly feel relaxed, which makes for amazing photos. The Baltic Triangle also makes for a great backdrop for couple portraits too, with so many grafitti'd walls and gritty industrial streets. Perfect for modern non-traditional weddings. The food was so good and the staff were fun and friendly. Can't wait to shoot here again in the future.

Not your usual place to consider as a wedding reception venue but don't dismiss it. Don't be put off with location as you will miss a gem. My son and now his wife picked this venue to have their wedding reception at, from the first enquiry they were impressed with the level care and input they received. On the run up to the big day I had cause to speak with Daisy the events person what a great lady nothing too much bother and everything done in a laidback ease of someone confident in her work which distressed some of the lead up. The venue is modern but quirky set on two floors but ample take 100 so guests. )Even though toilets on second floor theres a lift and disabled access toilet on ground floor nobody complained} The food was excellent and good and hearty for a October wedding. The staff all was excellent the beer was top notch. Thanks to all for making Jake and Mias wedding special

I ate here with a group of colleagues on a recent work trip. The staff were attentive and extremely helpful. It was great to sit and chat with them about the current location and the history of the brewery. It has a small but very well composed menu. The pie seemed the biggest hit amongst the group. I didn't have it myself but it looked exceptional. Well filled with generous chunks of meat. I did however very much enjoy the twice cooked lamb belly with the gnocchi. All washed down with some very reasonably priced top quality brews!!!

2 of the 3 cask ales are brewed under the Higsons band and it certainly brings back memories of Higsons of old. The food offer looks good and there’s plenty of space to accommodate groups of all sizes. Toilets are on the second floor; there’s a lift if you find this too much.

This is a quite well hidden gem! Went along for lunch with some friends - ate off the £12 lunch menu and thoroughly enjoyed it! Posh fish finger bun with huge chips and delicious mushy peas and tartare sauce. Love the deco - kind of cosy industrial, with the brewery bits visible from the main bar area. We were a big group and people ordered a variety of dishes, including veggie options - all went down very well! Staff were helpful and friendly too - will definitely be heading back with my teenagers and steak loving hubs ❤️

I don’t normally like avocado but I did enjoy my partners breakfast too. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. I will definitely be revisiting, thank you.

The only positive aspect of this hotel is its excellent location - all of Liverpool's must-see attractions are within walking distance, including Hope Street with its two cathedrals, the Cavern Club, Prince Albert Dock, and more.Unfortunately, the room was dated and poorly maintained. It smelled of cheap air freshener, the window blinds were broken and didn't function properly, the table surfaces were sticky, and the shower was problematic - the water temperature fluctuated unpredictably between cold and scalding hot during use. What truly shocked me was the check-in staff's handling of our arrival. The receptionist demanded our complete bank card details, including card number, expiration date, and CVV code. When we objected that this was private, confidential information, he insisted it was hotel policy to collect this data "for safety" and claimed they would delete it after checkout. Since we had already paid through Booking.com, had our luggage with us, and couldn't easily find alternative accommodation after our long journey, we reluctantly provided the card number and expiration date. After lengthy negotiation, we refused to give the CVV code. However, due to this incompetent staff member's handling of sensitive information, we had to block and cancel our card after checkout to prevent potential data misuse. In contrast, the checkout experience was much better. The staff member on the new shift was very helpful - he assisted us with our luggage and kindly stored it at the hotel for 2 hours after checkout completely free of charge. In summary: outdated and unclean room and shower, unpleasant odors, and unprofessional check-in procedures. However, the convenient location and helpful checkout staff are redeeming features. The poor room conditions and problematic check-in process make this hotel difficult to recommend.

Horrifying Stay – Bed Bugs! I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. We booked to stay at this hotel. Check in was fine and we dropped our bags in the room and went straight out. We arrived back at the room at 12:30am and found bed bugs in the bed/mattress. Absolutely disgusting. We immediately went to the desk and requested to be moved only to be told there were no other rooms available. We were told at check in reception was open 24 hours however it was only security on the desk when we went to speak to them. Security rang the manager Meg who seemed indifferent and offered no real apology or refund. Her solution was to give us access to the linen closet to re-make the bed ourselves and a discount on our next stay. This was completely unacceptable and we had to arrange alternative accommodation. I expect basic cleanliness and hygiene from any lodging, and this was a complete failure. Not only is it unsanitary, but it’s a health hazard. I had to wash and disinfect everything I brought with me, and I'm still dealing with the aftermath despite not evening staying in the room itself. Avoid this place at all costs.

The location was great and the staff were really lovely and welcoming. The room itself was a decent size and had potential, but it definitely needs some TLC and a deep clean. Some of the furniture had peeling paint, and the blinds, lights, and radiators were quite dusty, which unfortunately triggered my partner’s eczema. The mattress topper was also clearly not clean, with visible yellow stains.. not nice to discover after we’d already slept on it. Overall, it’s a cheap stay in a good spot with friendly staff, but the cleanliness really needs improvement before I’d stay again.

Small boutique rooms, great location. Staff were really friendly. Rooms are basic with ensuite. Large comfy beds. Great décor fresh and clean. Would highly recommend. I enjoyed my staff and have stayed numerous occasions. Close to shops and night life

Great location. Staff excellent at reception & restaurant. Cleaning very good. The only problem wes the darkness of room, we were on the ground floor at the back of hotel. Right up against the other buildings. Room was totally dark. Was there for 3 nights.

Glen Affric Brewery & Taproom in Birkenhead offers a fascinating brewery tour where the owner, Callum, shares his passion and knowledge about the brewing process. The small group tour lasts around 1.5 hours and includes two halves of beer of your choice. The taproom boasts approximately 25 beers, including guest beers, providing a great opportunity to sample various brews. It's conveniently located near Hamilton Square Station and is dog-friendly both indoors and outdoors.
Excellent beer, friendly service. I had a (superb) beer by Cloudwater but have one of Glen Affric's cans to have back at the hotel. Lots of doggos here too.

Thought I'd try out this brewery as I go past it every time I come out the tunnel. It's basically a huge warehouse but it's had lots of seating put in to make it comfortable. They obviously have a large selection of beers, ales and ciders that would meet most requirements. There was no food available but while we were there they set up some pizza ovens. What I found amazing was that people were bringing children along. You don't normally see them in breweries. I must come here the next time I'm asked to mind the grandchildren.

GA has been a staple for many years for me now, a vast selection of house beers and of late a better selection of guest. It’s nice having a taproom and brewery on the Wirral. The visiting food venders can be hit and miss and it’s super dog friendly.

Great beers and ciders. Great staff. Great live music. Great food trucks. Great patrons. Great atmosphere. Card and board games available to play too. It's just a nice place to hang out and have a beer with friends. Highly recommend it.

Love it here! The beers are really good, and there is always something new to try. There is also a good selection of canned cocktails, if you are not really a beer fan. They have different local indie food retailers at the weekend, so you get a different experience each time. The staff are so friendly and we feel so welcome here. Also a great selection of board games, which is always fun! It is a dog friendly venue, which is another reason I love it as I get to pet loads of cute pups!

Nestled along the picturesque docklands of Liverpool, Malmaison Liverpool is a contemporary hotel that exudes elegance and charm. With its polished rooms and suites, guests can indulge in comfort while enjoying stunning views of the River Mersey. The hotel's brasserie offers a delightful culinary experience, featuring an array of bite-sized desserts and classic afternoon tea options that are perfect for any occasion.
Our stay at Malmaison was fantastic! The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, with beautifully stylish decor. The location is perfect—close to everything you need. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and we really appreciated that the staff asked about any allergens. The service was excellent throughout. Malmaison is always our favourite, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend to everyone!

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Had a very warm welcome when we arrived. We booked a standard double Room which included breakfast.. Room was very clean, we didnt hear anything or see anybody on our floor(5th) Room was quite dark but that was its style. Bed was comfy and had no issues with the bathroom, we soon worked out how to flush the toilet!! All the staff we spoke too were freindly Breakfast had a lovely choice, nice to have hot food cooked to order and not sitting under a hot lamp with hordes of people getting in the way. Location was really good, short walk to museums and liverpool one. A bit further to Liverpool Lime Street, but the receptionist kindly offered to book us a taxi which turned up on time for our return journey. One tip get some taxi numbers from Reception. Try and avoid getting in a Black Cab we think we were ripped off big time. Thoroughly recommend this hotel. Much better than the experience we had at a well known chain of hotels where we stayed 2 years ago. Would not hesitate to stay at Malmaison again. Also fantastic hotel to stay if going on a cruise ,right oppisite cruise terminal.

The Malmaison was the perfect venue for our wedding in June. Cristina and the team were on top of everything and made things so easy for us to organise, all communication was really quick and everything was just so easy. The day ran so smoothly, from serving of the welcome drinks, food and evening entertainment. The food served by the hotel was also top quality. We organised everything through the hotel including the room decoration & DJ (the DJ they organised was honestly fantastic). We really couldn’t have asked for better. Thank you so much to Cristina & all staff.

Very spacious room, lots of USB charging points within the room. Decor wasn't as nice as it had seemed in photos. Wardrobe was difficult to open and needs some attention. Bathroom lovely with a big bath, powerful wet room style shower. View from the window was a car park and skip. Window blind didn't fully fit so room was light early on. Although on return to our room we could hear a lot of noise from the nearby rooms, once in the room we couldn't hear anything which was great. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was fabulous however unfortunately couldn't say the same for the breakfast. The choice was varied and plenty on offer however I was served the worst poached eggs I've ever seen! The white of the egg was so shrivelled up it was stringy and practically non existent. The yoke somehow seemed inflated and liquid (other than the yolk) came out of it when cutting into it. To top it off they were stone cold which was not a pleasant taste! The rest of the breakfast was warm, just cold eggs. Had we not included breakfast in the price of our stay I would have been very unhappy paying £23 for what I was served. Not sure I'd stay again.

Just came home from having High tea with mum and two children. One has a peanut allergy and I couldn't thank the staff enough for being all over the allergy and making us feel so comfortable and confident in my little girl ordering off the menu. Service was fabulous and the staff were amazing. Thank you for a lovely day.

This was my first experience of a Malmaison hotel and I will actively look to book with them again. Gorgeous lobby, the room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Service was great and the breakfast was lovely. My only feedback would be that there weren’t any plug sockets near a mirror in the room, so drying / styling hair was a bit tricky. Overall would absolutely stay here again.

Great location but the point of a hotel is sleep. Booked a standard room, offered an upgrade for £66 and took it. The view was lovely but the room was so hot! The bed was also uncomfortable, I think a thin mattress. Told the staff about the heat issue, they provided directions on how to use the a/c control, gave it 24hrs, still didn’t work. No other rooms as they were fully booked. Asked for a fan which was supplied but paid a total of around £500 to not sleep for 3 nights, I left exhausted. Horrendous and will never stay there again (which is saying something because my mum lives in the flats above it). Do NOT recommend.

The hotel's central location provides easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment at Liverpool ONE as well as the Business District and other attractions.
Consistently Amazing Venue and Team! (From Wedding to 4th Anniversary) This review is a testament to the fact that the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Spa Liverpool team continues to be amazing! We first experienced their exceptional service while planning and celebrating our wedding, and they truly made our day magical back in September 2021. We were due to get married in 2020, but even through the stress of postponement due to Covid, the team were attentive, kind, and made us feel like family. Their personalised attention—from tasting the amazing food menu to having Silva and Venus happily perfecting my dress and cape—made our wedding day everything we wished for. We knew we were in great hands. We just returned on Saturday to celebrate our 4th anniversary and, once again, we were not disappointed! The food and drink were amazing, confirming that Head Chef and his team's talents are still fantastic. The staff were just as attentive and friendly as we remember, making our anniversary celebration feel incredibly special. To all future couples and guests, you have made a great choice! We can't wait to celebrate many more special occasions here.

We wanted to try the Spa facilities prior to our wedding. The facilities are clean. The jacuzzi was unfortunately not in full Working order. But the sauna, steam room and pool were great. We booked a couple of treatments and have to say they were probably the best we have had. We booked a back, shoulder and neck massage .... WOW.! Definitely be back . 🥂👍

Booked 2 rooms by my friend as we were travelling together, chose this hotel over municipal (charging for pool access)and Novotel (free pool access but not a Hilton) and Vignette (No pool) as we really wanted to relax in the pool after our work conference. Check-in: £25 charge for using the pool, spa closes at 6 pm( work conference expected to finish around 5-5:30 pm everyday). What a shame let's check in Enter the room and I would have guessed that I'm in one of the old Britannia hotels and not a Hilton. I'm not sure their A/C was functioning properly however the room temperature was decent to sleep. Housekeeping forgets to refill the shower gel and tea bags. The tables in the restaurant were not the cleanest and you could feel the stickiness. After paying for breakfast in advance 2 days I was questioned if I have breakfast included as my room was not included in the list. Overall it was not the best experience and definitely will not be using DoubleTree again ever. Might give Normal Hilton a chance. Neel from reception was amazing and was always helpful. Restaurant staff were good as well except the blunder of breakfast list. Management should look and change their online pricing by making sure the pool fee is highlighted so that people can make a choice beforehand.

Would really be good to have washer and dryer for traveling guests. I received a magnificent massage from Jane, I'd been dealing with stiff neck, she made it feel 90% better. Thank you Jane ! The spa itself needs some repair on pool, the waterfall was not working, and changing room had no bag to put wet bathing suit in and no lotion. It was not impressive at all.
Julie F — Google review
This is in an old building and the rooms (I've seen 2 king deluxe) do not live up to the Doubletree standard. Great service, musty rooms. The Manchester Doubletree has much smaller rooms but newer and more comfortable. Nicest thing about Liverpool Doubletree is the tub, pictured. But it had glitter in the bottom of it... I don't wanna know.

Shocking! Placed in a family room above a wedding and can literally feel the floor vibrating. Nothing against the wedding but paying a premium to stay here tonight and feel like I’m actually at the wedding. Extremely disappointed. Have registered my complaint with reception. Definitely need to check if there is a wedding when you book and if your room is going to be anywhere near it. Have stayed in better Premier Inns and most certainly won’t be returning.

My experience at the Hilton Liverpool was nothing short of a nightmare, marked by the worst customer service I have ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that my partner and I were unfairly profiled and discriminated against for being gay. The lady at the front desk was not only unprofessional but also deliberately deceitful, lying to our faces without a shred of remorse. Her dismissive attitude and the giggles from the staff were utterly disrespectful and made us feel unwelcome in what should have been a hospitable environment. To make matters worse, the front desk staff demonstrated a shocking lack of competence. They seemed incapable of understanding basic directions, confusing simple instructions like “left” with “stage left,” which led to us being given the wrong room. Instead of addressing this mistake promptly and professionally, the staff refused to assist us, leaving us stranded and ignored. This blatant disregard for basic customer service is unacceptable for a brand like Hilton. After escalating the issue, speaking with the manager did little to resolve the situation. The entire team’s behavior was so egregious that I will be filing a formal complaint. This experience has left such a sour taste that I will never return to a Hilton property again, and I strongly urge others to avoid this location. If I could give zero stars, I would, but Google forces a minimum of one. Save yourself the frustration and choose a hotel that values respect, professionalism, and basic human decency.
B B — Google review
BEWARE! We used points plus cash to book a room for a stay a month ago. They put us in a basement room with an AC that made a horrible loud sound. And when we told the woman at the front desk, she admitted that they know about the fan problem and it cannot be fixed. We asked to switch room and she put us in an even worse basement room with a tiny bathroom. It was not what we had booked. A man the showed up who appeared to be the hotel manager and was very unfriendly. After we explained the problems, he told us he was cancelling our reservation and we should find another hotel. We went to the Aloft around the corner which had much friendlier people and a much better more modern room. Afterwards, we read the Google reviews and see that this same type of treatment from the manager has happened to other people. We complained to Hilton and they just forwarded it to the manager. Hilton needs to get rid of this property!

What a disappointing place. Looks like it should be quite upmarket but is actually trashy. No food available. The barman was dozing as on a chair as we walked in. Standing at the bar ordering drinks, the staff were effing and blinding. The toilets were filthy. All in all not a place to visit.

Friendly staff, great view outside, lovely place to visit for a drink or cocktail. I can't recommend the restaurant, the food was not great. Steak was full of gristle and overcooked burger was ok but nothing special with a small choice on the menu. Given the location there are many other much better restaurants around for the same price or less.

This place was included in my stay at the hotel, with a lovely 2 course meal. Which was absolutely amazing. The staff were so polite, helpful and talkative. The view from the restaurant down onto Liverpool is beautiful (especially at night). The quantity was just right and the food was cooked and served very well! Not the cheapest place but certainly worth it!

If looking for a bar with a view, this is a place to be on. Be prepared to spend! If u are on wheels be warned , u might struggle on manoeuvrability in the lift as it is tight for even 4 people including a luggage. Staff wise they are very accommodating.

Had a lovely meal that was included in our stay at 30 James Street with a lovely waitress. Can't remember her name bit she looked like Rhianna! She was always smiling which was lovely to see. It was out first wedding anniversary and they gave is a lovely dessert platter to mark the occasion which was a lovely surprise and such a nice touch. The food was gorgeous and well presented. There is currently some renovations going on but we weren't affected by it except we were going to go back for a drink during the day not it was unfortunately closed. We would love to go back when the buildng work had finished.

Great roof top views. This isn’t Florence so don’t expect too much from the views but good location between Albert Dock and the City Centre. On top of the 30 St James Hotel which is the old headquarters of the White Star Line company and so the entire hotel including this bar is Titanic themed.

Known for its expertly grilled meats, this pub-style venue features 21-day aged steaks sourced from reputable farms in the UK and Ireland. Diners can also indulge in house specialties like beer-battered haddock with chips, chicken and chorizo pie, cauliflower cheese tart, and grilled tuna steak.
The food was excellent, for a busy evening you come expecting a wait for table and food this was not the case here. The staff here were great, but Scott’s professionalism really stood out. I want to give huge credit to Scott, a young server, who handled an awful situation with incredible professionalism. A customer became verbally abusive, swore at him, and even threw a plate at the young man all over something Scott wasn’t even responsible for. Despite this, Scott stayed calm, respectful, and composed the entire time. His maturity and grace under pressure were truly impressive. Management: If you value and respect your staff, someone who treats them like that should not be welcomed back. No one deserves to be abused at work especially not someone who handles it as well as Scott did.

Very disappointing. My food was all cold when it arrived. The hadhbrowns were somehow undercooked, despite being golden on the outside - they were limp and soggy, but had undercooked hard and slimy potato in the middle. The mushrooms were dry and wrinkly. The toast was cold and dry. The beans were cold. And we waited a long time for this to arrive too. This was supposed to be part of an all you can eat breakfast, but you had to give your order to the waitress and wait until your entire groups orders had been taken and prepared before you saw any of your food. We ordered 30mins before kitchen close but by the time our food arrived, they had closed the kitchen so we weren't able to order anything more. The service wasn't very good either, with the waitress even missing out an entire person's order. Out of the 6 of us, noone was impressed with the food or service. We enjoyed this restaurant several years ago but now, we shall not be returning.

We are here with family and friends for a family get together. We pre ordered all our meals. The meals were delivered quite quickly but as there were only a few staff by the time all meals were delivered some had almost already finished their meals. Food was hot but nothing special. Not sure that they are staffed for a large group but as they have a private side room you do expect they should be able to cope with the numbers and keep the standards. We've eaten here before in the main restaurant and the food served then was much better

I’ve been coming here for years for breakfast and the staff have always been amazing, professional and accommodating. Even when, this morning, they were so busy and dealing with obnoxious, rude and unrealistic costumers, they still kept a great demeanour. I think it’s a bout time the big chiefs at the top of these companies started to cover the establishments with enough staff as this is unreasonable and needs to be addressed! Thank you ☺️

Had an amazing meal, portion sizes were great couldn't finish what we'd been given, excellent value for money! Staff were warm and welcoming and Cheryl who was looking after us was great, so positive instantly made you feel better, atmosphere was quiet as we'd got there not long after opening time, really cosy place. Only issue I had was when I went to the men's toilet the cubicle was a mess of course I can't really blame the business for this as it was a customer who had left it like that, I couldn't take a star off for that tho as everything else was perfect! Will definitely be returning.

Last minute visit, whilst shopping in area. Haven't been for over 20 years and enjoyed not only a lovely, good quality and value lunchtime meal, received some of the best customer service I can remember . Greeted warmly by gentleman, shown to table, menus supplied ,allergies catered for and drinks order taken. The venue is looking a little dated, but clean and well maintained . Our waitress then took our food order - what a treasure Anne is!! As groups of faithful customers arrived and left, they all greeted her warmly with genuine friendship and respect, and I'm not surprised . Anne embodies what a professional should be. So warm, friendly ,knowledgeable and ready to joke and natter, whilst working hard. Enjoyed a chat, where she informed us she'd worked there for nearly 30 years , and I told her , you could tell as absolutely a star!! Made our visit! In fairness , the whole staff worked like a well oiled machine , complimenting each other seemlessly. If you want a good, old fashioned warm Liverpool welcome, get down there!!

Derby Lodge Table Table is a stylish chain pub located on Roby Road, Huyton, Liverpool. The menu offers classic international favorites, grilled dishes, and burgers. They have a special deal where two kids under 16 eat for free with every adult breakfast purchased during school holidays. The prawn cocktail is a favorite starter due to its flavorful dressing that complements the prawns and lettuce. The staff are excellent and meals are served fairly quickly, hot, and tasty.
I've heard lots of good comments about the Derby Lodge over the last year. So I decided to go and check it out in person. I attended when it was lunch time hours. The place was welcoming, the staff were friendly and the food was nice and the price was great. Me and my son had a 3 course meal and a drink for under £29. I noticed the pub got busy whilst I was there. I will definitely visit again in the future. The unlimited breakfast for £10.99 looks tempting so I might consider checking out the breakfast deal on my next visit.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Food, Friendly Vibes & One of the Best Beer Gardens Around! Had a fantastic meal recently at The Derby Lodge in Huyton – this place really ticks all the boxes. The food is top quality, with generous portions and great value for money. I had the beer battered haddock and chips, and it was absolutely spot on – full of flavour, proper comfort food done right. The rest of the menu looked just as tempting, with plenty of choice for all tastes. What really sets The Derby Lodge apart, though, is the setting. It’s incredibly spacious inside, so even when it’s busy you never feel cramped – perfect for group meals or family get-togethers. And then there’s the beer garden – absolutely massive, well-kept, and ideal for enjoying a drink or a meal outdoors. Easily one of the best beer gardens in the area, especially on a sunny day! The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were very friendly, helpful, and on the ball throughout. Whether you’re after a casual bite, a few drinks with mates, or a family meal out, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend checking it out – a proper hidden gem in Huyton that deserves all the praise it gets!

Two of us arrived for 7pm booking. Place was buzzing + busy. Midway thru our main meal most diners had finished + left. The waitresses were clearing tables, then putting breakfast menus out and HP sauce bottles on the tables, including ours. We were the last diners at just after 9pm.Whilst eating our desserts the waitress was vacuuming in front of us! The latte coffee was half empty + the other coffee was like hot water. When served coffee we were asked 'Is it OK if I give you your bill?" Talk about being rushed out. Once a grand place to dine, as a local resident I've been many times but really awful tonight. Poor consideration for us diners. Food pretty good.

Visited the premier inn a year ago and had breakfast and evening meal here. The staff were excellent and the food was very good. The reason for the 1 Star is because it was not dusted for a while, the carpet was torn and a trip hazard. This is not the the standard for a place serving food. The food safety authority should pay them a visit. The place should be updated and cleaned daily.

Well used to go here many many years ago, when natter jacks was part of it and ran by Pete Tyler, the place was mint, clean and great service. What a same the way it’s been let go, only called in for drinks on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon, clearly.( it wasn’t busy) but clearly the management don’t give a toss about the outside space, every empty table had empty glasses on them and alotfe had food plates etc, with napkins and rubbish everywhere….!!! Premier inn. Management need to have a look at the people running their establishments. Won’t be returning that’s for sure..

Ocean Plaza Brewers Fayre is a laid-back family pub and restaurant chain offering classic dishes and international favorites. One of the most popular meals is the delicious Smothered Chicken Burger, a chef favorite. The Head Chef recommends trying the Salmon & Southport Potted Shrimp dish made from locally sourced produce. The restaurant offers plenty of fun activities for kids, including a huge play zone and proximity to attractions like Southport Pleasureland and Lakeside Miniature Railway.
Staff very polite and helpful the place clean wide range of food for all you can eat breakfast and reasonably priced would recommend

Very busy Brewers Fayre. Dined there at lunchtime on a Thursday. Always nice to see a place doing well, but being busy does incur a wait. Food was good and reasonably priced. Toilets in nice and clean condition, plus they have a baby changing room and breast feeding facilities if required

Martin who took our orders at the bar and Sam Davies the waiter both went above and beyond to deliver excellent service. All the other staff appeared smiley and friendly but didn't have any interaction with them. Been years since we had been as "L" the previous manager had been very rude to us and we found him to be very arrogant. We only tried it again as people at work recommended it and said he wasn't there any more. We certainly weren't disappointed. And the food was spot on too

1 hour and 40 mins to eat here between waiting for a table, queuing to order was ridiculously long & food then took a further 40 minutes. Upon entering the host was no where to be seen and 3 staff members passed us before I had to ask if I just sit myself down before the host was found/came over, wasn’t informed of any wait to order food or the wait for food. By the time we were seated and queued to order an hour has passed. Only upon getting to the front was I informed about the wait for food, the guy on the till however was the best part of any kind or service received. When the food finally arrived, my burger and fries were cold but at that point I didn’t have time to wait for any kind of remake due to having a train to catch, not like staff were easy to flag down anyway as there was people around me finding it difficult to chase up missing food/drinks
Bel B — Google review
Brewers Fayre offers good value for money with their food. It isn’t gastro pub or fine dining, but it is substantial food and incredible prices. The ambience can be noisy , but that’s to be expected with a place like brewers fayre which is popular for families with young children due to the fantastic value for meals. Service is quick and friendly. All in all this is the perfect place for families. It’s not a favourite choice of mine due to the noise and the food is not my favourite as I do prefer gastro pub meals, but you can’t beat here for value for families and I highly recommend it for this purpose alone .

Cuthbert's Bakehouse is a welcoming tea shop with tile floors and soft furnishings, perfect for afternoon tea. Delicious cakes and light lunches are available at the cafe, as well as Brunch 'Afternoon Tea'.
Lovely afternoon tea "New York" style. Had the most tasty mini beef burger and hot, crispy chips as well as a good selection of sandwiches. Plentiful great selection of cakes (so many we ended up asking for a box to bring some home) and the obligatory scones, jam and cream plus unlimited tea or coffee.

We had my baby shower here in August and it was perfect. The booking process was relaxed, the afternoon tea arrangements were impressive and the food delicious. Thank you to all the staff who made my day special! My family and friends enjoyed themselves immensely. Apologises for the late review as it’s been almost 2 months, I’m going to blame my baby brain.

I love English high tea without the tea. This tea was worth it and we had the option of drinking coffee with the tea service. There were many options from savory to sweet. The best part for me was the scones that were served with clotted cream and pink gin jam. The only sad part of this experience is that we cannot find the pink gin jam that we now love in Spain (where we live).

Got a high tea take out- excellent fare! Really special food, we had a lovely party. V generous serving (see pic- 2 servings)- we ordered 3 servings, it fed 5 with leftovers

Found this lovely gem on my trip to Liverpool. The tea was the best I had on my trip to the U.K. It was so good we went there twice. The grilled Haloumi salad was amazing! The scones were served warm with jam and cream. The white chocolate raspberry scone was delicious!
Tori D — Google review
We went there this morning. We ordered 1 scambled eggs on brown toast, 1 avocado on toast… both food arrived without toasted bread, but just bread from the bag, which made my enthusiasm going down, cause I could have eat cold bread at home! Plus we ordered eggs Benedict, which supposed to be with ham, but they didn’t bring us the ham, only when my friend almost finished to eat, after we requested, they brought it! It’s not the first time we go there because my wife likes the place, but also last time, we requested extra cooked eggs cause she was pregnant, and it was everything but extra cooked!!!! Very disappointed

The Vibe is a trendy, two-level cafe in Liverpool's Ropewalks district, known for its creative and plant-based breakfast and lunch options. Run by a father-daughter vegan duo, the cafe prides itself on using locally sourced 100% plant-based ingredients to create dishes that nourish the mind, body, and soul.
This cafe was so good that we went 3 days in a row while visiting Liverpool. Very tasty dishes, no matter what we ordered. Catered incredibly well for gluten intolerance. Really friendly and helpful staff, and nice atmosphere. I’ll miss those poached veggs!

Our favorite restaurant in Liverpool and one of our favorites anywhere. We have been here many times, and everything we tried was excellent. On the drinks side, the smoothies are amazing, and my favorite is the peanut chocolate with a shot of espresso. Bonus - this place is dog friendly. They have dog treats and ice cream. The staff is super nice and the location is perfect.

Great spot for a weekend brunch. Portion sizes were huge, reasonably priced, and the food was tasty. Service was friendly and prompt, and the ambience was lovely as well. I love exploring new vegan eateries, and this one has definitely been added to my list for future visits!

Another beautiful café where you could close your eyes, pick anything off the menu, and know it’s going to be absolutely delicious—and the best part? It’s all vegan! From the comforting "Hug in a Mug" to the California wrap, nacho bowl, and the perfectly spongy lemon cake—every bite was a win. Not the biggest fan of the mushroom magic hot chocolate though! The people and service? Equally lovely. 🌱✨

Had an amazing breakfast here. Portion size was huge and the staff were super friendly. There was a vegan fried egg that was unusual but very tasty.

Very very lovely all vegan (!!) cafe in Liverpool. Amazing range of food and drinks, unfortunately didn't have the first drink choice I wanted but the food was delicious - got the vegan hash stack and my partner got the vegan salmon bagel. The bagel was particularly good!! Would definitely go back 😊

The Vibe is more than just an amazing Vegan restaurant. It literally oozes good vibes. Staff are the most friendliest and welcoming. Food was the best Vegan food I have ever had, we went for brunch with friends and family.

Came for brunch and was very busy, although we didn't have to wait long to be seated but the food took longer time to be served, so I just ordered iced strawberry matcha and a potato dish menu. Loved the matcha very much! Strawberry tasted fresh, but the matcha had also a strong flavor. Nice staffs amd service. Comfortable seats arrangement and decor.

Cafe
Cook Street Coffee is a hidden gem in the heart of Liverpool, offering high-quality breakfast options at an amazing price. The cafe serves delicious bacon and egg toasties on granary bread, along with excellent hash browns. The full English breakfast is highly recommended, and the owners provide quick and friendly service. This small business is a great find for those seeking affordable, traditional cafe fare without any frills.
The local breakfast restaurant located in the centre of Liverpool City. The majority are local customers. This shop serving authentic English breakfast. Love the atmosphere and food there, eat like a local. The only downside is limited seating, not suitable for large group gathering, maybe around 4 ppl group size is the max. Definitely will visit again if I am back to Liverpool ❤️

Was arriving early in Liverpool, so looked at cafes for breakfast and discovered this place. The food is excellent and the staff are great. This prices here are unbelievable. It is a small place, so there is a chance you may have to wait for a table, but it will be worth it. This is a top breakfast cafe.

Cook Street Coffee on Cook Street (in Town).. Large Breakfast £5.50 Yes it has chippy sausages but for that price i was expecting it.... I swapped mushrooms for an extra hash brown.. Actually a nice Breakfast and for that price I can't really complain and i didn't have nothing to complain about anyway...

This place was recommended to my partner and I on Saturday, 20th September by a man in the street who overheard us talking about fancying a nice breakfast. We were VERY impressed, beautiful breakfast with a large cup of tea, great hospitality in a small, comfortable setting, and at a very reasonable price. We will definitely be back 😊

Why is everyone not eating here instead of Spoons? It was £7.20 for a sizeable cooked breakfast and a pot of tea. The plate wasn't overloaded with hash browns AND came with black pudding. Excellent value, perfect restorative carb hit. Never going anywhere else in future.

Nestled in the heart of Liverpool, WAKE and CATE is a charming café that beckons food lovers with its inviting atmosphere and mouthwatering offerings. This delightful spot features an impressive array of pastries, gelato, sandwiches, smoothies, and expertly brewed coffee. The menu shines with standout items like their famous strawberry pancakes drizzled in chocolate sauce and topped with crushed Oreos—a true treat for dessert aficionados!
Went here for lunch. Lots of seats and comfy environtment, but no high chair for my toddler. Ordered 2 drinks and 2 menus, drinks came fast but a bit longer for the foods. A bit pricey for me, but portion enough to make you full.

Beautiful place to have nice breakfast/brunch and drink. Food is absolutely delicious and people are very welcoming. Had buttermilk pancakes with bananas and chocolate spread and Greek eggs. All to die for.

The food here was really good. The portion size of the Greek eggs was great and even though the muffin looks smaller it really filled us up and tasted good. You go up to the counter and order yourself so it’s quick and easy to get served. In Liverpool city centre so not the cheapest but still good value for money.

Came to Liverpool with my friend for the weekend. Came for breakfast here. I had the sausage patty melt and she had the bacon muffin. Both were absolutely amazing! To the point whereby we will recreate it at home. Staff were amazing. Okay, originally thought it was a bit pricey, however you certainly get what you pay for in both quality and portion size. We will come back without a doubt.

My husband visited here last time he was in Liverpool and said he had to take me there for an amazing selection of cakes. Well I could not have imagined how in love I was with the savarin cake I had! It was incredible and I think about it at least once a week now. It had a delicious sugar syrup all over the exterior and inside was filled with an amazing cream. I would 10/10 go again and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
Laura W — Google review
Popped in for a quick lunch. Excellent friendly service, had a generously sized ham & cheese toastie with chips & an oat milk latte which was really good (although note it costs 50p extra for a non-dairy milk) I will definitely be back in future to try some cake. This would be a good spot for a group breakfast or brunch if you are in Liverpool for the weekend. I’m writing this at 1230pm on a Sunday & it’s nowhere near as busy as it ought to be for the quality & location. Get yourself down here!
