I’m usually a big fan of the Mama Shelter chain and have had great experiences at both Mama Shelter Dijon and Mama Shelter Shoreditch. Unfortunately, this particular location didn’t live up to the same standard. The immediate neighborhood felt unsafe, and the hotel itself had more of a budget hostel vibe compared to the fun, welcoming atmosphere I’ve come to expect from Mama Shelter. I still love the brand overall, but I wouldn’t choose to stay at this location again.

I just had a two night stay at Mama Shelter and is was a great first stop on my vacation. Simple, clean rooms with awesome showers and comfortable beds. Sound deadening windows, blackout curtains and air conditioning made for an easy turnaround after a long flight. Trendy restaurant with an impressive kitchen, producing excellent food at great value. All of the staff were very accommodating and friendly with my very broken French - a great stop for English-speaking visitors.

Have stayed multiple trips here, and location / restaurant is all very nice. The rooms unfortunately not, they do not have AC and each stay (always in april), the rooms are very hot 24-26 degree in spring already .. again we did not sleep well, small window can open but not enough and ads very loud street noice will keep you up as well.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mama Shelter Lyon. The hotel was in a decent area, good cafes, bars and restaurants were pretty close, and we were able to walk to most places from the hotel. Buses, the metro and tram stop are close by too. The room was pleasant and quiet. Hotel staff were great.

+friendly and helpful staff + Fresh food served at breakfast with a wide variety of bread, fruit, pastries and cooked breakfast etc. + Great location, close to public transport, cafes and shops + Clean and functional with a funky interior design - bed was very firm = too hard for me so I had poor sleep - shower didn't keep a consistent temperature. It would run scolding hot to freezing cold - no facilities to make tea or coffee in room

Chill vibes, cute decor, amazing breakfast options (book with a breakfast add-on - you won't regret it), next level restaurant, fun and quirky souvenirs, decent price point, fantastic service and solid value for money. Staff are gorgeous and truly helpful human beings. Merci beaucoup mama...

The reception is unhelpful, and although we asked about the parking conditions at the hotel, the lady at the reception desk didn't warn us about the dangers of car theft, but simply informed us that parking in front of the hotel is free until 9:00 a.m., while parking at the hotel costs €24. The next morning, we found the car broken into, and our main luggage and valuables (laptop, smartphone) had been stolen. When we asked to contact the police, the reception team (different people than the previous evening) initially responded very hesitantly (I have to speak to my manager first), then gave us the address of a police station that had been closed for three years. After reporting the burglary to the police, we contacted the reception again; the colleague (manager?) who had been at the reception that morning was still there. We pointed out again that we were very disappointed that we had not been made aware of the large number of car break-ins in Lyon and that several passers-by had confirmed to us that this happens very often in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The statement that this has only happened 1 or 2 times in the last 3 years is very doubtful, but even if this is the case, 2 car break-ins are too many not warn your guests. This time again, as in the morning, the reception desk showed no empathy or even a word of regret, unlike innocent passersby on the street did. We subsequently researched the situation and found that there have been between 9,300 and 9,700 car break-ins in Lyon in recent years. I think the reception staff are also aware of this critical situation, and I find it very regrettable that guests are not informed of the very high risk to park cars on the street close to the hotel.

Ordered salmon toast, the toast it’s self was okay. The salad accompanied was terrible, I was expecting something good when paying 16€ for a toast. Coffee was horrible as well

Hi there. I was led by good reviews, but unfortunately the cafe did not live up to expectations. It is not a place where you can feed your child in the morning. I ordered a set breakfast, which included many items from bread, brioche, and so on. but all this was stale, and at least yesterday’s. all that was tasty was the butter in the package and a piece of cheese. It's a pity that the management doesn't monitor the freshness of the products. Unfortunately the service is also bad. alas ☹️

Awesome place for breakfast. The cuppaccino is so nicely decorated. The boiled egg and the bread are so good! For traveller looking for charging your phone, choose the corner seat beside the walls most importantly, they open on Sunday and they have an English menu.

Cute, bright brunch spot that serves tartines, salads and more. The vegetarian tartine was too saucy but the warm salmon tartine was great! The apricot juice was thick but good.

I was desperately craving a coffee to go, and the place looked nice. However, the coffee was downright awful. Not only did it cost €5.50, but it was so scorching hot that I burned my tongue. It wasn’t just warm like a regular coffee—it was burnt. A really bad experience.

Enjoyed a most wonderful stay in this hotel. Super kind and helpful staff. Very comfortable room. Valet parking perfect. We will return for sure! Only minus point is the breakfast for 39 euros per person which is rather steep. But there are ample options around the hotel.

What a wonderful place in the old town. The hotel is excellent, and I highly recommend staying here if you are in Lyon (avoid driving, it is better to take a cab). It is truly one of the most beautiful places in the city. The bars and restaurants are perfect, offering great food and drinks in a stylish atmosphere. This hotel is a gem, so beautiful and comfortable. The staff is professional, kind and accommodating, the rooms are beautiful, the food is excellent. It’s a grand old hotel that has been updated, and you can meander through many different areas and sitting rooms, all perfectly appointed. I highly recommend.

The hotel is perfectly located, the staff are amazing. The reason for 4 stars is twofold. The rooms are very small and very dark, even though nicely decorated. The 2nd reason is that it is very expensive, given the room sizes - think Paris rates. It is a genuinely nice hotel but the room rate was up there.

We checked in quite late by car which is a bit of a challenge, as this hotel is located in the old town section with limited driving. A code is required for vehicle entry and driving instructions provided from hotel staff were excellent, parking a breeze. Upon check in, we were warmly welcomed by staff members who even upgraded our room without us even requesting it. This hotel is an old building located in the old town section that has recently reopened after a few years. We stayed only 1 night, and the hotel felt like a bit of a maze as I walked around to get my bearings. Our room was accessed by going up a flight of stairs then down a flight of stairs which could be a bit of a challenge for anyone physically disabled. There is an elevator in the hotel. We found our room to be quite large, with amazing beams across the ceiling (very medieval castle) well appointed and quiet. There are double paned windows followed by single pane interior window to help keep out sounds from outside. Bathroom was large, clean but a bit worn which was surprising considering the refurbishment, but I think the rooms were redone and some items in the bathroom were not changed out, hence the 4.5 stars for the room. Would definitely stay again, loved the location close to all attractions and the amazing staff!

I received an email with just two days’ notice that the Cour des Loges would be canceling my reservation. While they have refunded my rooms, no additional concessions were made for the inconvenience. I found this to be truly unprofessional, as the company must have known in at least a week in advance that the rooms would not be available… we are now scrambling to find lodging. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

Absolutely top top hotel. I have a 100 nights out on hotels yearly and the attention to the customer on this one is second to none. From valet service, reception, bistro, room service, breakfast restaurant, cleaning, bar, management. Can not praise this place enough, on top the hotel just went through a magical renovation. A very speciel place.

A terrible experience. Two of us dropped into Zucca around 4pm this afternoon. Even though the place was basically empty we had to go find staff to see if we could order food. Once seated we ordered food and two cocktails. It took over 20 mins for the drinks to arrive and a few more minutes for the food. I had ravioli. At E26 for the plate...5 bland ravioli in a horrendous cream sauce. Disgraceful. My friends burger was passable if undercooked. Both meals were sloppy. The waiter was uninterested in the service and didn't ask if the food was OK. Terrible food and service.

The restaurant is located directly in the Marriott Hotel Lyon. We have been guests there with our company on several occasions. The service is a bit slower for dinner but very friendly and service-oriented. I enjoyed the appetizers. The main courses, risotto or gorgonzola pasta, were also good. But sadly, that was it. There was no "wow" effect, even though the prices are very high. Therefore, in terms of price-performance ratio, the restaurant is more of a no than a yes. However, it must be taken into account that there isn't much choice in the area.

Quiet space with good food. It is connected to the hotel and provides breakfast for guests. Had multiple meals and was not disappointed.

Overall a 3...breakfast is where it's at, but make sure you get there early. Later in the day the people are like pigeons and the kitchen can't keep up. Dinner service is a different issue. I've found some of the staff to be rude and inattentive, not all but more than one. The food is okay but it is extremely overpriced. Can they only do a la carte? Why are there no formulas? Are they trying to get by on the unassuming foreigner? Also, the salt grinders never have any salt in them! The wine list, especially by the glass, leaves something to be desired...I just never have a good glass while I am there. Overall, good in a pinch, but there are much better places close by.

It was a good dinner with colleagues but the service was not enough for 5 stars: they took me together the starter along with the main course, you have to wait 20min before a waiter can pass by your table. However the food was very good, I recommend it, nice italian restaurant

Visited 20th October 2019, the Ambiente is ok and the Service friendly... Compared to others restaurants around, real good... However, high end segment Restaurant did not meet expectations completely: — ordered one meal for two plates, did not work — panzanella, bread salad from Tuscany was completely wrong (they just put a few croûton on) — vongole dish had just 7 small vongole in Sorry; there is room for improvement

Ordered a vegetarian pesto dish. It was good! Some communication misunderstanding with one of the waiters while ordering. However, they compensated very well for it. PS: only one dish for vegetarian option during lunch time.

An awesome experience from behind to end! The location of the hotel is perfect, close to the lake and the town itself. Remi at the Living Room really made our trip and the rest of the team was fantastic as well. Eating breakfast on the outdoor terrace facing the lake was a real treat as well. Loved our stay here!

A good five-star alternative in Geneva - but definitely not without flaws. From the outside, it gives off that “Cartoon Ritz” charm - classic style with a touch of personality. Inside, it’s more traditional and serious. The location is undeniably central, just next to the lake and close to everything. But that central location comes at a cost. Parking and drop-off? A nightmare. There’s almost nowhere to stop, even for a few minutes to pick up or drop off your family. The moment you slow down, people start honking - you’re right in the middle of Geneva’s traffic madness. It’s one of the busiest streets in the city, and it feels like it. The hotel itself is fine, and the staff were professional. But next time, I’ll choose something in a quieter area. There’s luxury, and then there’s peace - and here, you might have to pick one.

A lovely boutique hotel perfectly located near the lake. Some rooms have Great Lake views. The rooms are very comfortable. Ours was a little small but very comfortable, well decorated with everything you could need. We enjoyed lunch / drinks at Bistrot D'Ete. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

I was really sick after having lunch and definitely wouldn’t recommend it. I emailed them over a week ago, and it’s clear how little they care about their loyal customers. It's truly disappointing—this is the worst hotel/restaurant experience I've had in Geneva.

I visited this café a few times and was never disappointed. Everything is really tasty, but the croque truffe is just outstanding for me - definitely a must-try! Great atmosphere and friendly service as well. Highly recommend!

Delicious brunch! BLT and ham and cheese sandwich were both delicious. Order a side of fried eggs to make it perfect!! The staff is very friendly! We shared the 2 sandwiches so the picture is of the 2 different 1/2 sandwiches. Potatoes were delicious too!

Le Desjeuneur in Lyon is a must whenever I’m in the city! Their pancake stack is so tasty and fluffy, I always look forward to it. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Unbeatable for brunch, just be fast to beat also the queue. Just come early, or perhaps try your luck. But I swear it's worth it! I'll come back!

Food was so tasty and service once you’re seated was really good. We did the brunch menu for each person and it was the perfect amount of food to get our day started! We did have to wait an hour in an online queue that you sign up for once you get there so get there early! Definitely recommend

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a small bistro that left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and helpful waitresses who made me feel right at home. Their warm and welcoming demeanor set the stage for a delightful dining experience. The food at this bistro was truly a work of art. The chef's creativity was evident in every dish, and I was continually amazed by the unique flavor combinations and presentation. At around Euro 30, I found it to be an incredible value for the quality and creativity of the food. The combination of friendly and helpful waitresses, creative and balanced flavors, and reasonable set lunch price make it a standout in the dining scene. The chocolate dessert was outstanding, harmonious blend of textures, and the mousse was simply heavenly. Although not visible in the picture, the ice cream and cake layer added a delightful surprise. We discovered a fantastic Chardonnay from Jura. Very friendly staff. Visiting on January 1st may not reflect the usual atmosphere, and it appeared the place is undergoing renovations, promising an even better experience in the future.

Solid food, but what’s noteworthy is the dessert! Nice, attentive staff that speak English. They even had an English menu. Definitely book reservations because this place gets busy. I got trout with vegetables as my main dish, and it didn’t knock my socks off (actually thought the veggies were a bit undercooked) but there was nothing wrong and it was overall a fine meal. I really, really loved their “chocolate of different textures” dessert. It fulfilled the assignment and had excellent chocolate-y flavor, not overly sweet.

Amazing rapport qualité / prix 🥇 The fare is refined but reasonably priced. Not open for dinner so plan for a brunch or lunch. I’ve been living in the area for years and think Le Kitchen really makes the quartier feel “Parisian class”. They recently did a remodel giving it an Art Deco flare I love. If weather is nice outdoor seating is preferable, inside it’s a bit too cozy but if you can sit at the bar, I think that’s the best spot 👍

I recently stayed at Continental Genf and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the hotel staff were warm, helpful, and attentive — making me feel truly welcome. The room was spotless and beautifully furnished, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities one could need. The breakfast buffet was excellent: a wide variety of fresh fruits, breads, hot options, and good coffee. The location is very convenient, close to major transport links and local attractions, which made exploring the city easy and stress-free. I also appreciated the calm and quiet atmosphere, even though the hotel is centrally located. Overall, Continental Genf exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Geneva, whether for business or leisure.

Had a lovely three night stay. Was upgraded to a junior suite at check-in, and it was very comfortable. Breakfast was complimentary with my booking and was excellent. Sarah in particular was very pleasant and an attentive server who remembered our preferences. We enjoyed one meal at Les Nations bar. The sauna and hammam are small but offer a wonderful way to relax. Easy walk to bus stops for the 5/8 to go to Gare Cornavin or old town and it is a short walk to Nations where you can see the UN Headquarters and the Broken Chair sculpture. It is also just a short walk to Petit Saconnex where there are some lovely restaurants and a park where lots of people take their dogs to play. Highly recommend!

Great stay at InterContinental Geneva. The reception staff were excellent ,professional, efficient, and extremely helpful. The room was excellent with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was a bit old and quite small, and breakfast, while good in quality, was very crowded with some items missing something that should not happen in a 5-star property. Restaurant staff were friendly but clearly overwhelmed by the rush. For a hotel of this level, the breakfast area should be better prepared and organized to handle peak times and maintain a calmer atmosphere. Overall, a very good stay but with room for improvement at breakfast.

We had an exceptional experience thanks to our waitress, Sarah! Every morning she greeted us with a smile and somehow remembered all of our orders perfectly without us having to say a word. She was not only pleasant and accommodating, but also gave fantastic recommendations that really elevated our meals. The food itself was delicious, but Sarah truly made the experience outstanding with her attentive service and welcoming personality. Highly recommend!

This hotel is quite overpriced for what it delivers. While the staff are genuinely friendly and attentive and the lobby impressive, the rooms (particularly the bathrooms) feel dated. What disappointed us most was the additional charge applied simply to allow our 2-year-old son to stay in the same room with us. None of the other hotels we stayed at in Switzerland, including in Geneva on this same trip, imposed such a fee. For a true five-star experience there are better properties in Geneva; I would recommend looking elsewhere.

The InterContinental in Geneva is a perfect example of what a luxury hotel should be. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were exceptionally comfortable, offering a truly luxurious feel and stunning views. The O Bar served up fantastic cocktails, and the beautiful breakfast area and well-maintained pool were wonderful places to relax. This is a must-stay for anyone looking to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle. If you're looking for a high-energy vibe, this might not be the place for you. But for couples or travelers seeking a peaceful and relaxing getaway, this hotel is a perfect choice.

A beautiful hotel with friendly, efficient staff. From the concierge to reception to the restaurant to housekeeping, I cannot fault the service. I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with the most comfortable bed and pillows, and a stunning view of the mountains and the lake. I also used the gym which had a great range of machines. I highly recommend the Intercontinental Geneva.

I highly recommend the banana bread!! That was a winner! For the coffee - unfortunately not my favorite bean profile and I find it too sharp and sourish. But I really want to compliment the barista, who was really busy but took the liberty to show me patience and kindness when I had questions. Keep smiling and the great work!! 🌟

The latte here is absolutely amazing! For a good latte, the beans need to have a bit of acidity, and they nailed it. I’ve always loved coffee with bright acidity, so both the long black and the latte were fantastic. I spend about five months a year in Europe, and this is honestly the best coffee I’ve had in Europe so far. The step(or owner?)takes an oder is always so kind and welcoming with a lovely smile. I’m definitely coming back again tomorrow! ☕💛

Came across La Boite à Café while visiting Lyon for a weekend. I was in deperate need of some good coffee and luckily for me that is exactly what they gave me. I got the flat white with oat milk, which was very creamy, well foamed up and exactly how strong I like them. There were a bunch of locals in the shop chatting and working on their laptops. The ambiance was very cozy and welcoming. This is really the perfect place to feed your caffeïne addiction.

I enjoy their flat white and pairing it with a savoury scone - I especially like their cheddar-pepper one that has a spicy twist! There is a big terrace if you want to chat with a friend, but it is also possible to work indoors :) Note: there is a fidelity card!

Great service! English is no problem. The menu is available in several languages. We were there for brunch. The food was consistently delicious. The coffee and matcha are strong and also very good! The setting is stylish and cozy.

I had the pancake menu (i spent 25 euros) and everything was very good! I love eating brunch so i was so glad to find this place. Also, they have amazing coffee (im used to specialty coffee so its difficult to find a good one in regular places). Totally recommend.

It is my first time in Geneva, Switzerland. My experience here was awesome. People were so nice, atmosphere was cozy, brunch was beyond my expectations. Lovely brunch spot in Geneva! Madame has a great selection of brunch options — everything I’ve tried has been fresh and really tasty. The Cookie One Pan with ice cream is a must-try, absolutely delicious. The matcha latte is also good, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. On a sunny day, the terrace is just perfect — a great place to relax and enjoy your meal. Definitely a favorite for weekend brunch.

I ordered breakfast and a flat white coffee, which were nice and good. The breakfast was fine, but the coffee is highly recommended for anyone looking for a great cup of coffee!

Great brunch in Geneva. They have several options, salty, sweet, pastries. I really liked the croque and I recommend their chai.

Well the Chez Madame at Carl-Vogt is very nice food excellent and the waiters are all very nice and smiling. I have been to both now (Coutance) as well, i must say the quality of the food was as good and the waiters as nice. I have only been disappointed with the Mochachino that I usually take as there it is not the Barista but instead a machine that does it automatically and the result is not as creamy and tasteful as at the other location. Beside this it is definitely a nice place to go to enjoy either a Brunch on the Sunday or a bite during the week…😉

Great Brunches place in Geneva. I had the avocado toast with poached eggs. It was well presented and very delicious. The place can get quite busy on the weekends.

This café has a cheerful and lively atmosphere, complemented by charming décor and plenty of seating. There's also a small garden with dome seats, which I’d love to try on a sunny day! ☀️ We had brunch, and I found the dishes to be delicious and well-seasoned, and the portion was big. The highlight for me, though, was the coffee. They don't do reservations, consider that specially at the weekends. I absolutely loved it! I’ll definitely be coming back

This is my go-to breakfast/brunch place whenever I’m in Geneva, I never miss a visit! The tartines are creative and delicious, with top-quality ingredients that make every bite memorable. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and speak excellent English, which makes the experience even more welcoming. They’re also flexible and happy to accommodate any special requests. I was so pleasantly surprised to see that they’ve expanded the space and added a cozy backyard, such a lovely touch! Wishing them continued success.. they truly deserve it! 👌🏼

Very nice place for a Sunday morning brunch. The prices are quite fair considering the generous portions. There are free parking spots along the road (limited to 90 minutes) and paid ones nearby. Everything is well organized, and we really enjoyed it!

They just move to the new place (next door) with more space and (it seems) wider menu option. Still with the great vibe, nice and efficient service. I love the guy going around with dishes and he dances whenever he can. A must go place. (very crowded though in brunch time).

When I walked in here-I knew I immediately liked it because of the 90s Hip Hop and R&B music they had playing! and then things just kept on getting better! The coffee here is amazing! As an American who loves iced coffee , they make the best iced coffee in Geneva :) All of their salads and sandwiches are fresh and amazing. I come here at last once a week for the G.O.A.T salad and I also love the tartines - the Italian tartine is absolutely incredible (photos below). Each time I come here,I am greeted by the friendly staff, cozy ambiance-i absolutely love the decor here and bumping beats and good vibes all around! They also have wifi and if you are looking to get some work done-I prefer the back room. On a sunny day, outdoor seating is also nice :) all around my favorite cafe in Geneva and highly recommend for good food and coffee in a convivial environment:)

Staff didn’t seem to be really friendly. The food was average, wasn’t worth paying €35 for one dish and one drink. I understand it’s Geneva and everything is expensive here but still. It’s a bakery but the bread in my dish was stale and hard as a rock. I liked the interior though, it looked really cute.

I love their bread! I buy a loaf almost every other week. The regular sourdough is excellent but their pain d’alep is my favourite.

Shakshuka is completely misinterpreted/ misrepresented, it’s more of a Fajita style vegetables dish, with a SINGLE Egg. Host failed to fulfill well done style of egg and insisted it’s not possible ( can’t comprehend a chef can do a well done egg). Outside seating area is full of insects and inside area is completely closed out and kitchen is exposed and place feels like you are eating in the kitchen.

Excellent food and excellent atmosphere but above all I like the « surprise » menu where you let the staff choosing your 5 or 6 dishes. Each of them is very well elaborate with strong attention on the products. Worth mentioning also the wine selection, where very bottles is coming with its story and own taste. A must go.

After seeing the high reviews, I decided to have lunch today at this restaurant. Nice atmosphere, simple and spacy. We were well received with a smile and was shown to our table. We picked the 5 course tasting menu. (the chef decides on the plates and the order) I was very disappointed by every dish presented, tarama was bland, the terrine was too heavy, the tuna had no flavor and was full of nerves, the peas and beans were meh and the steak in the end was ok. I think this was one of the most expensive lunches I had, and I usually don't mind the money I pay for good food at all. But I think I will remember this one forever. So, I do hope the kitchen staff reads this feedback and maybe decide to put some finesse in their cooking, instead of serving no effort needed pretentious plates with extreme pricing. I really feel like I got scammed today. Shame. So, if you are into good food, flavors, interesting cousine, definitely avoid this place. PS:the waitress that served us was kind and professional and she remembered it was my wife's bday so came with a candle and desert. Thanks for that.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant CoinCoin in the Plainpalais neighborhood, Geneva, Switzerland. Had a very pleasant lunch here with a fresh and summery oriental touch. We started with homemade tarama and slow-cooked eggplant – both well executed and tasty – served with excellent sourdough bread provided by a third-party bakery. For the main, we had their summer salad with both cooked and raw tuna. While the quality of the fish was good, the dish could have used a bit more punch and variety to feel like a truly complete main course. The overall experience was very positive: friendly staff, honest pricing, and a nice terrace with communal tables, even though it’s near a busy street. Definitely a great spot if you’re in the area and looking for a good-quality lunch that won’t break the bank. Worth noting: they also operate a separate evening restaurant just next door called La Criée (if I’m not mistaken), where you can choose your fish and have it cooked to order, either whole or filleted – sounds like a great place to try next!

Nice 5 star hotel situated next to Geneva lake...Wasn't the cheapest one, service was still nice. The only problem I had, was the room service... "Do not disturb" means not to disturb. Still nice to find my room perfectly cleaned after comming back from outside. Breakfast was absolutely great, there was also a decent view on lake and Mt. Blanc from my room. I'd come back again ;) Also thank you for a sweet present! 4,8 stars of 5.

We were really happy with out stay here. There is secure (uncovered) parking available but you are advised to book ahead (just contact the hotel and ask them). They are dog friendly, we had our two pups with us. As other people have commented, the staff here are very friendly and helpful and so make the stay that bit more pleasant! The location is perfect right on the edge of the old town, there is also a lovely park nearby which the dogs loved.

Whoever reviews the star rating system of hotel needs to visit this place again because it is two stars at most. If I had know that- it would have been… fine. But even then, very dirty carpet and moldy shower… had to rebook a room at any other hotel for the one night we had booked. Again, if you’re looking for a cheap place with a convenient location and don’t care about much else, this will do. But not really for adults who value their comfort.

We came to this café for lunch, but unfortunately, they were no longer serving hot food at that time. Instead, we ordered some ready-made items: a salmon bagel, a ham and cheese croissant, and a cinnamon roll. Just landed in Geneva from London, i was starving and trying to get food. I picked a restaurant but google map here didn’t work that well so i gave up and ended up in this coffee shop. Really liked the toast with salad. The salad was just fresh and well coated with sauce, salmon was like half smoked not that rare but fresh. Loved it. The matcha latte was bland but that’s ok. I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Bayard. The location is fantastic, the staff were attentive, and the facility is beautiful, with spacious accommodations and carefully curated vintage decor throughout. By far, one of the most uniquely decorated and furnished hotels I have stayed. Breakfast was wonderful as well. My only complaint is on the cleanliness of the room. It was apparent that the floors had not been cleaned in some time; a simple vacuum and mop would have done the trick. Otherwise, a pleasant stay and would recommend.

The salty stuff is very tasty and you have a lot of choices. Deserts are also plentiful, just not very chocolaty. The hot chocolate was good, though. Surprisingly, sparkling water is not included in the offer. The fruit juices are good, though. In essence, it is more of a lunch buffet, than an offer with standard breakfast options included: no granola, little fruit etc.

Super Sunday brunch! After looking for some of the best Sunday brunches in Lyon, we came here and we weren't disappointed. We love brunches and we have been trying some along our overall culinary experience. We loved all the dishes that they offered (which I'm sorry but I don't remember them 😅), plus you have a great choice of drinks: coffee, teas, hot chocolate (a really good one btw), juices, and (the plus, although we didn't try them) you have wines included in the buffet drinks part. I'd like to say as well that lal the COVID-19 measures were respected and that the staff put in a great effort to make them respect by all the guests. We had a great experience and not just food talking, the staff were smiling a really welcoming. Another things that we really appreciated was the fact that they send us a message 1 or 2 days before just to make sure we were coming, in order for them to know how much food to prepare and to waste the less possible. Great job everyone! We will definitely be back in our future trip to Lyon!

I was at Grand Café at 2pm. On Sundays they close at 2:30pm as against what i saw on google 5pm. So i couldn’t eat there. Also they only serve brunch buffet on Sundays which is nothing less than €30 so be informed. Apart from that i liked the ambience.

The location is perfect — close enough to the old town and the lake to walk everywhere, but still tucked away in a quieter street so you don’t feel the city noise. The building has so much charm, with beautiful Art Nouveau details, yet the rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were warm and attentive, always ready to help with directions or restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was lovely, with fresh options and a cozy setting. I especially enjoyed the little touches — good coffee, high-quality toiletries, and a really comfortable bed. Overall, it felt like the perfect balance of boutique style and Swiss hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Geneva who wants something more personal than a big chain hotel.

I recently visited Geneva with my 13-year-old daughter and, unfortunately, faced some challenges during our stay at the hotel due to my slip disk condition. Upon arrival, I understood that check-in was late, so I returned to the hotel around 5 PM to collect my room keys. To my surprise, the front desk attendant assigned us a room that required climbing several stairs—at least 20 steps. Given my condition and the fact that I had two large pieces of luggage and a carry-on, I kindly requested a room without stairs. Instead of assisting us, the attendant raised his voice, stating that my daughter could easily carry the luggage. While she made an effort, it was simply too much for her. I also noticed a concerning difference in the way he interacted with other guests, which made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. It seemed as though he was unwilling to help us simply because of our background. If there were no other rooms available, I would have appreciated a more respectful conversation and some assistance with our luggage. I came to Geneva looking forward to a peaceful holiday, but this experience significantly affected my stay. I hope that future guests are treated with more kindness and respect.

Room 315 was good, big enough for 3. Bathroom had two sinks and a tub, but water didn’t drain well. Breakfast was limited, but the street-side restaurant was nice. Lobby small and old, but staff friendly.

Great location let down by failing Air Conditioning, and a misunderstanding. When we arrived and went to our room, it was good, and the AC was blowing warm air. When I spee to the concierge he advised it had been repaired today and is normal for the AC to operate at 23 degrees by law. He advises there was nothing he could do. It took some effort to explain that it didn't work at all and the hallway was a lot cooler then my room. Turns out it had failed again, and again for 2 note days. He did come and offer us 1 of 2 portable AC units which did the job, but required the window door to remain open for the heat exhaust, noisy. The room itself is small, very small, but functional. TV, fridge, tea and coffee etc Great location but dint book a car park. 35 CHF a night is a to expensive.

The hotel is well located, the rooms rather very small, but well equiped and clean, the beds are very comfortable. But there are some minor improvement potentials considering the pricing and positioning. E.g. The plug adapters are fixed in the wrong the way, so they block the other outlets of a three socket, the ceiling in the bathroom had quite some fungus spots (the ventiation is probably inadequate) and the toilet seat was loose. The most annoying is that there is only one cushion per bed. It is nice that there is coffee, but only decaf is not exactely what you would expect. Note: The scrambled eggs for breakfast were not eddible. Since the breakfast was only priced at 20 CHF pp I do not rate this as a negative.

First I would like to say how wonderful the reception staff were especially Valérie, Théo and Jérémy. We stayed in suite 314 and really enjoyed the reversible AC units that allowed us to be comfortable especially since the balcony windows only had single glazing. The room cleaning was perfect. The bottoms of the slippers didn't even get dirty during our five days there. The WiFi in the room was not reliable and weak. We have issue with the fact that a minibar is included free when it is actually just a mini refrigerator with two bottles of water. This is even written on the door price list as Minibar Gratuite. All the other ALL properties that advertise a free minibar in the suites at least include a few cans of soda, tea drinks and water. We feel this is deceptive advertising here especially at the price point of this suite.

This was my second stay at this hotel. The accommodations, service, and amenities are all extremely good making this once again a pleasant stay. Although parking in Grenoble is challenging, I have been consistently fortunate with finding one of the seven parking spots open directly in front of the hotel. If these are all occupied, the work to the nearest parking garage is not as close as I would like.

The bathroom was nice, with a separate toilet and a large dressing area—plenty of space even for a longer stay. The bed was super comfortable, and the AC was quiet and well-positioned, so there was no draft over the bed. The staff is incredibly friendly and well-trained. Breakfast is delicious, with fresh egg dishes available on request. Parking is available in a secure garage 200 meters away at a good hotel rate. We would definitely stay here again.

Secure parking in nearby Q-Park Chauvin garage, about 3 minutes walk - the hotel can offer a discounted rate better than that available at the garage or when booking in advance via the Q-Park website. The service was great especially the receptionist of the evening. Very good location, really close to the train station + we could walk to almost everywhere. The room was okay. We reserved a double room but instead of one big bed, it was 2 simple beds put together which was not really comfortable. The bathroom is small and tight and the towels and sheets could use a more thorough cleaning. The breakfast was okay, not very varied.

It's a very lovely and well-decorated hotel, just 300 metres away from the train station but without the noise of passing trains. The rooms could be smaller than usual, but overall, mine was well maintained and had all the necessary amenities for a weekend. There's not a great view from the window, not at least from my 105. Breakfast is normal, but the personnel should be more attentive to the flux of customers coming by not to leave them with an empty buffet (I had to wait for the bacon to be fried again, and I was sort of discouraged by the lady saying it would have taken 10 minutes to be prepared).

The hotel is in a great location with only a 5min walk from the train station and bus terminus. The rooms are clean and well serviced, but my only negative was the toilet in room 514. It was a tight squeeze between the wall and the vanity unit and being 1.81m I couldn’t close the bathroom door! (See photos). I tried to change rooms but the same room wasn’t available for my stay but could upgrade at cost. I asked to see the room but it wasn’t available to next day and when I came back it wasn’t available. So for one last night I persisted with what I had unfortunately. The breakfast provided was good when fresh especially the bacon - very tasty but you need to ask the staff to refresh as it isn’t done automatically. A big plus for me was I had to leave at 0630 and I had bacon and eggs provided by the night manager that I didn’t expect and set me up all day - so highly appreciated. If it wasn’t for the issue with the toilet I would have scored this hotel a 5/5 . Very good restaurants close by.

A cautionary tale…. If you are choosing here because of its secure parking like we did, and drive anything bigger or lower than a fiat 500, be ready for a fair few hairy moments accessing and parking. It’s not something we would want to repeat. Definitely not suitable for SUV’s and low sports cars - we were in one of each!! The hotel - 2 rooms were booked, checked in together, we were handed both keys but one room hadn’t been serviced from the last occupiers and the door wedged open by used towels. All in all not a great start. I can say the water was hot and the room clean, once serviced. I didn’t sleep well, deliveries and doors banging in the night. It was fine. But nothing more.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, making for a super comfortable stay. Free hot drinks are available (variety of teas and coffee). The hotel is situated right by the train station. They were also happy to look after our luggage until check-in, and the reception is open 24-hour. When I go back to Grenoble, I will pick the same hotel again without hesitation.

Visited a couple of weeks ago as a party of 3, we didn't have to wait longer than 30 minutes max which was great. The atmosphere is really warm and lively and the staff are all very friendly. It is a bit pricey but it's very worth it considering the location, the quality and the service you receive. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the strawberry matcha as it didn't have much flavour but still, I'd give it 5 stars for the remainder of the experience! Some of the best food I've ever eaten.

Overall it was okay for us. We ordered some meat and it was too fatty for our taste and the panna Cootta was a total waste. It was almost liquid. We told them but got no refund, they still charged us for that. Vegetarian food was charged for 17€ and what we got was too little to fill the stomach. Atmosphere and service was good.

I really recommend this place, food was great and the service as well!! We asked for a brunch that costs 22 euros. The brunch includes a sweet pancake and a salty pancake 2 drinks (one cold, one hot) and a little play on the side like coleslaw, eggs or a granola bowl. The suggestions pointed us to Yummy Pancakes, so we went there. With -3°C outside, the waiting line was big enough for us to wait almost two hours. While we were waiting, we could see the tables inside. As we were a group of 4, we expected a harder time to come in. When we were next in line to enter, we saw the table in front of us with two customers on a table for four, with at least another one available only for two customers. The staff denied us to enter because they only had a new table for two. At first, they didn't accept our suggestion of changing these two customers to the table for two and us to the one they just sat on with four seats. They wanted the people behind us to enter instead of us - but after some noise, they politely asked the other customers, who were kind to change tables for us all to get in. A very cute brunch spot specialized in pancakes, both savory and sweet. I always pick the Benedict pancakes with salmon and it’s always a hit. I also absolutely adore their homemade lemonade made with lime and coconut, it’s so refreshing and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and nicely decorated. We had to queue for a while with little communication from the staff, who seemed more focused on clearing tables than managing the line. Things did improve once we were seated, and service picked up. I went for the gluten-free pancakes, which were disappointingly dry—possibly just a bad choice on my part, as the regular ones looked better. The granola, however, was incredibly sweet—too much so for any of us to finish. Worth noting: you can’t order just one dish. The set menu requires you to pick both a savoury and a sweet pancake (amongst other things!), so make sure you arrive hungry!

Very nice staff, some speak English and were very accommodating and friendly. It was open during hours when everything else was closed so we really appreciate it! The soup was incredible and so was the pulled porc dish. Their pancakes are very creative and tasty as well. I would defined recommend it. We went for the brunch menu on Sunday for €24 and shared two menus among the three of us. That was plenty and I’d definitely recommend sharing since the portions are really big! The food was incredibly delicious (even had gluten free pancakes for my friend) and in the end we were even treated to the surcharges of our coconut milk + gf option. Would recommend to anyone & hope we can be back one day!

To start, we came inside at a reasonable time and were rudely told to wait outside. We then were sat at a table where we waited to order for 20 minutes. Once we ordered our food came out cold. We bit into the pancakes and they were cold and stale. They were noticeably frozen previously. (Perhaps they make the pancakes beforehand and then freeze them but still…). We did ask for two plates to be remade and they were. But once the remade plates came out they were yet again stale and 100% frozen before. The price for such a disappointing meal is astonishing and disheartening. Would not recommend! They also tried to force us into buying a brunch for at least four people because we had 8 in our party. Additionally there was only one bathroom and oddly enough you have to pay up at the front counter.

We had lunch here on Saturday, pancakes are really good and you eat a lot. They had lot of choice and we'll probably come back at some point to try the brunch! People working here were so kind, we appreciate that. I only give 4 stars and not 5 as my lactose free gluten free pancakes were bitter and with a sort of metallic taste at the end (may be too much yeast).

From early morning coffee shop, this place segues into an excellent place for a quick healthy weekday lunch (with reasonably priced "formule"). Then on the weekends they have a great sweet or savory brunch plate with salad a wrap and soup. Atypical (no eggs) but delicious none the less, plus set in a stylish and funky space with excellent coffee and tea (served in a teapot!). If I lived nearby I'd be there all the time!

I normally do not write reviews but it was worst cookie I have ever eaten. Even though their rewiews are quite good, I didn’t like their coffee and the cookie I ate. Welcoming was very cold too. I ate all the cookie which was made with very bad oil probably, now I have stomach ache 😵‍💫

If you’re looking for a brunch with different flavours, a bit of sweet and savoury, this is the place. Beetroot soup, 2 savoury bruschetta and a pea, cranberry and nut mix, followed by fromage blanc granola and a cake of your choice. On the drinks side we tested out the infusion, and an excellent chai latte. Highly recommend.

I was happy because this place took us last minute when all other brunch places were full. Maybe too much attention on the colour pink, the food was just okay for me. I have experienced way better brunches in Lyon for even lesser the price. I liked the toast and the cookie at the end! The dessert took a bit long to come but they gave us little packets to take away because we were full!

I definitely recommend going to enjoy the amazing brunch around morning brunch hour on weekdays to avoid crowds or line up! They have this deluxe avocado toast that is a must-try! The portion was so generous and was topped with their specialty of the 🌸 pink burrata, halloumi cheese, tender smoked salmon, radish garnish, poached egg and fresh avocado. The plate was super delicious, and even beautifully decorated too which makes the perfect instagrammable photos too. Their housemade Pink Chai Latte was also really good as well! I loved how it was gentle and milky which pairs the meal perfectly on the side Aside from the brunch, 10/10 I recommend their dessert to share too! Their creamy soft matcha chocolate cheesecake was the perfect touch to finish the meal! The staffs were also super friendly, spacious seating, easy access, and probably it’s the best brunch in Lyon!
