Bakery
Bagel shop
Breakfast restaurant
Established in 1910 and still thriving on Meadow Street, Ithaca Bakery has grown through expansions and renovations to become a beloved fixture in the Ithaca community. From humble beginnings with horse-drawn deliveries to boasting one of the first trucks in Tompkins County, the bakery has adapted to changing times. With multiple retail outlets and a strong wholesale presence, it continues to flourish under Dan Gallagher's leadership.
We enjoyed a delightful lunch at Ithaca Bakery— I highly recommend! Each of us really enjoyed our food. I ordered the Round House breakfast bagel with egg, sausage, bacon, cheese, and hash brown. My other company got sandwiches and really liked them. We also got a triple chocolate cookie and it was delicious too! Wonderful ambiance and friendly staff.
Logan L — Google review
Ithaca Bakery is a beloved local gem, blending decades-long tradition with creative, fresh offerings—from artisan breads and bagel sandwiches to comforting soups and café fare. Its laid-back, indoor/outdoor vibes make it a perfect morning hangout or casual lunch spot. While some menu items lean pricey and lunch hours can get busy, the quality, friendly service, and community-driven spirit keep people coming back. Just double-check your order—and maybe try the cake if you’re feeling adventurous!
Ashish K — Google review
There are so many options from bagels to beverages, hot sandwiches to a cold case full of goodies. So many baked goods, and a great selection of oils and hot sauces that would make great gifts. Our food was great, everyone was friendly, and we’ll definitely stop in again when we visit the lakes.
Sam B — Google review
We visited here multiple times over last weekend. Food, coffee, the Mexican bagel, and ended up buying 10 different marmalade flavors to gift to friends. This 100 year old bakery has something to offer to everyone. You can spend a quality time here growing the menu, their merchandise too.
Shruti S — Google review
Lots of options! Ordered the reuben and it was soo good!!! Place was very busy around 1030. Place has some parking. People are in and out so you should not have problem looking for a spot. Met some locals and were very nice to give us recommendation and tips for our hiking trip! A must visit if you are in town!

What a great place to get breakfast or lunch! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options which is a huge plus. Cheryl is super friendly at the cash register! She is such a sweet person! Would highly recommend this place.
Tyler B — Google review
Very yummy plain gluten free bagel with chicken sausage, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and egg. I didn’t have time to make breakfast and I’d never eaten here before. It was conveniently nearby my route to work after dropping off my rental car. It hit the spot. I’d definitely go back when I’m in Ithaca.
Meghan S — Google review
Excellent bakery/coffee shop/grocery store/sandwich shop with their own parking lot. Amazing people working here! We enjoyed mocchachino (they make decaf as well), croissants and grabbed fresh sourdough bread.

Jines Restaurant is a popular Greek diner in Rochester known for its all-day breakfast and Sunday brunch. The restaurant offers a diverse menu of homemade dishes, including Greek specialties, at reasonable prices. With sidewalk seating on the bustling corner of Park Avenue and Berkeley Street, it's an ideal spot for people-watching while enjoying delicious food and efficient service. During different seasons, Jines changes its offerings to match the atmosphere, such as serving fall-themed brunch items like Apple Cider Mimosa.
Excellent service at Jines on Park Ave—our server was attentive and friendly. The turkey and cranberry sandwich was flavorful and well-balanced. Onion rings were crisp and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend. Loved sitting outside!
Amanda 1 — Google review
Cool place, with a neat vibe. Service was great. But, food was just OK. I had the corned beef eggs Benedict, and my wife poblano avocado omelet, both on their "breakfast specialty" menu. The hash was super salty, and tasted like it came out of a can. The dish was good...just not great. Wife reports the omelet was good as well, just nothing to write home about.
Michael B — Google review
Large quaint small-town diner reminiscent of the Gilmore Girls, but nicer. It's an easygoing family-friendly diner with great attentive service. The staff would check in periodically to offer coffee/tea refills, etc, at just the right times. We had the perfect leisurely brunch on Saturday. The experience was so nice we returned the next day. It was a great way to round out our trip to Rochester before driving back to NYC. PS: love the non-gendered bathrooms! Both were spacious, comfortable, and clean. Thanks again!

I was visiting family in Rochester, and we all met for breakfast at Jines Restaurant. It took me a while to decide what to order, as they have a very large breakfast menu. I ordered the spinach, bacon, and cheese omelet, and it was delicious. The staff is very friendly and the service was great.

Great restaurant! So delicious. Banana bread french toast (with diced walnuts). Home-made corned beef hash and Greek dishes. Fantastic customer service. Highly recommend. Ladies, use the 1st bathroom.

We love making time to stop in for breakfast or lunch. It’s even better where the weather is right and we can sit outside! Service staff is always friendly and food quality and portions are great. Love the local vibe in Rochester, NY my favorite are the pancakes..🥞 Randy Spurling On the Spot Cleaners

Great service! Food is good and love to be able to sit outside! All park ave restaurants should have heated outdoor areas like they do in NYC. So you can eat outside all year.
Julie A — Google review
I have been to Jines maybe 5 to 10 times in the last 10 years. I've always had a good experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Place is clean. The atmosphere is cozy especially with the natural light coming inside dining area. There is outdoor seating. I've mostly had the breakfast food and it's always delicious and prepared well. They also have GF pancakes that are way better than others I've had around the area. And other GF options. Including using separate cooking areas for those most sensitive. If they make a mistake they promptly make it right. If you think it seems pricey, the quality is bumped up compared to a typical diner and very good portions. It's comparable to eateries in the area that are similar in quality.

Nestled in a cozy setting, Simply Crêpes Craft Kitchen Pittsford offers a delightful array of sweet and savory crepes from breakfast to dessert. The menu features options like the Crepe Madame with hardwood smoked ham, gruyere, and cream sauce served with a fried egg & Vanilla Porter bacon jam. For those with a sweet tooth, there's creme brulee oatmeal served with fresh bananas and strawberries.
This place was really busy and with good reason. Definitely worth the rating. Price starts around $15-20 a plate. It is so neat to see the chefs making the food in the background. There isn't a lot of seating. Everyone was helpful. The food is absolutely delicious. The sweet crepes and biscuits and gravy truly are delicious. The crepe itself is perfectly made. Each dish tasted freshly made; the fruit withing the crepes were fresh as well. I'd pass on the Putin and red potatoes. Flavor is great, they just have better tasting dishes to enjoy.
R. H — Google review
I tried to go here for breakfast on a Saturday at 9am was told there was no open table until 1245pm. The website says walkins welcome but they were not on 3/30. We made reservations for dinner on 4/18. It was crowded. I didn't realize that it was so small inside. The bar is like a kitchen and not accessible by patrons. The kitchen is open which is fun if you had a table that you could see it. The service was great. I got a chicken sandwich which was good. I was unimpressed by the side choices. The appetizer came out with our entrees which was not expected. The drinks were good. It was very warm inside and no windows were open. I'd try it again for breakfast, but will make reservations first.

Some hits and misses. The breakfast sandwich and lemon raspberry crepes were absolutely delicious — definitely the highlight of the meal. On the other hand, the breakfast tacos and chicken & waffles were underwhelming. The waffles were drenched in syrup, making the dish overly sweet. Drinks were mixed: the latte was watery, but the cappuccino was solid. The strawberry shake was too sweet for my taste. Service was a bit slow, but not terrible. Overall, I’d probably come back to try more from the menu, especially for those crepes!
M R — Google review
Service was great, Gabrielle was wonderful! Food was delicious! Drinks were amazing! We got the breakfast crepe with bacon and added avocado, it was very good and the avocado was perfect! We also got the Berry Grulee and it was delicious as well, we liked the fact that you could add the crepe to the bite so it wasn’t overly sweet.
Amanda S — Google review
The food was impeccable. The pumpkin smoothies hit all the fall spice cravings and the delectable banana crème crepe was very well balanced and not overly sweet. The Roasted potatoes were very well seasoned and crispy and the burger was dripping with cheese. The wait staff were also very polite, professional and friendly.
Marie M — Google review
I stop by Simply Crêpes in Pittsford every time I visit Rochester, and it’s always amazing! The savory crêpes are my favorite, especially the Chicken Tarragon and Thai Curry. The food is fresh and flavorful, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. Definitely a go-to spot!
Jayen D — Google review
Had a great time here for Sunday Brunch. Despite the busy period the service was prompt and food super delicious. Had the Breakfast Taco which had a layered flavor being savory (especially with the bacon) with a tint of sweetness. Portion was just right to leave some space for me to try the Oatmeal Crème Brulee, which was also superb. The 30 min wait for my table was definitely worth it!
Jackson P — Google review
Simply Crepes lives up to its name with its simple crepes. Several options ranging from savory to sweet, breakfast options, dinner options, and non-crepe goods. A fairly long drink and coffee menu as well. However, wait times are long and not worth it. The other location near Eastview mall is generally a better experience.

Restaurant
Highland Park Diner is a classic '40s-era boxcar diner located in Rochester, NY. Despite its old-fashioned feel and traditional menu selections, the food is top-notch. The diner offers a wide selection of all-day breakfast options, including delicious breakfast wraps and pancakes. However, the real highlight at Highland Park Diner is their hand-dipped milkshakes and homemade desserts.
Food was phenomenal. Had homemade salsa and it was the best hands down. Atmosphere was cozy and definitely felt like I took a trip to the past. Service was spot on.
Janet T — Google review
I had high hopes, but in the end, i was drastically disappointed. We went in as a group of 5 and only 1 of us had an enticing meal. The chocolate chip pancakes: dry and bland batter. The side for those pancakes were turkey sausages for $5.99… more like two mini pinky toe sausages… so not worth it, they were tasteless. The chicken and waffles: small, cheap chicken (they were chicken tenders) and one dry, bland waffle… for $16… what a joke. The highland skillet: the seasoning didn’t exist… salt and pepper doesn’t come to mind at this diner i guess, and the gravy was flavored so peculiar. The steak and egg sandwich: also unseasoned, but once it was drowned in ketchup it was edible. the breakfast burger: the only meal worth the price and was moderately seasoned. Overall the food was just underwhelming, but let’s get to the drinks… the milk was in a smaller cup and was priced at $3.99 and i didn’t even get a refill. the iced coffee, which was in a larger cup, was priced at $3… and the milk was barely cold. I was crying inside. I left still hungry and sad… I expected more. See pictures as proof.

All around excellent diner! So many choices and the food was delicious! The owner very gracious and our server was so nice too!!
Elizabeth G — Google review
As locals, we surprisingly haven't tried this restaurant until earlier today, and though it's cute and the service was prompt, the reviews had us hopeful for far more than what we received. With the purchase including a Dr. Pepper, a vanilla milkshake, a burger (medium) with fries, and a vegetable skillet with medium poached eggs, the total came out to ~$42 before tip. Unfortunately, I have to agree with the customer who found the flavor to be lacking, as did my spice-averse companion. Though each table comes equipped with salt, pepper, mustard, ketchup, red hot, cream, sugar, butter, and jam packets, the food itself... did not seem to be seasoned at all. The burger was juicy, but lacked any real flavor, the fries were okay but lackluster, the milkshake barely tasted of more than cold frothed milk, the home fries didn't seem to have any flavor beyond oil and potato, the vegetables tasted only of the lightly-sautéed veggies and oil (with a little bit of vinegar from the artichokes and red peppers), the eggs were soft poached and fresh, but flavorless - the only real seasoning flavor in the skillet was Asiago cheese, and frankly the white bread with grape jam was the most flavorful part of the experience, even after liberal salt, pepper, and hot sauce. The saving graces were that the diner was clean, service was prompt, the atmosphere was cute, and everyone was marginally friendly. Still, it isn’t someplace I would visit again barring someone else taking me, and it isn't someplace I'd recommend to friends or family. If seasoning isn't really your thing, though, this would probably be - unironically - great for you. I don't fault staff in the least, and frankly think everyone there likely deserves a pay raise for the efficiency they displayed - we tipped > 20% because of the staff alone, and because we don't feel that decisions made by the owner oe management should impact the staff's take home pay. The experience was just lackluster overall. Something I'd be okay with from a 3 star location, but not so much from a diner rated close to 5 stars.
Em M — Google review
Good classic diner with healthy breakfast portions. Service is good and old style car atmosphere.
Kevin M — Google review
Fairly old diner old style diner so inside is kind of a retro. It's old so it looks old but there's no cleanliness issues that I saw the bathroom. There's two bathrooms but they are small but there are two. At least I'm on to the food. I would be like to get the smoked salmon which comes with a bagel. Very good smoked salmon and a decent amount where you can put it on the bagel with the cream cheese and then we still had extra. So I would keep the lettuce to wrap up the rest of the salmon and eat the rest of it so you get a pretty good amount of salmon for. I think it was like 13 something. I also had some some other omelet dish that was gyro or something with feta cheese which is good and my wife had pancakes once and some other item I don't remember. But again, we've been back at least two or three times and we enjoyed the food. Each time. The milkshake was very expensive at like $89 and it was just okay so I would say maybe don't get it unless you really want a flavor
Robert — Google review
Best Monte Cristo I've had in years. Great coffee and skillet breakfast as well.

This diner is amazing. Housed in a authentic dining car. The menu is monstrous with amazing selections. The restaurants cleanliness was a 10 plus and also the rest rooms. Potato pancakes were delishious and home fries were real potatoes with skins cooked to perfection. Highly, highly recommended!!!

Cafe Dewitt, located in Downtown Ithaca's Dewitt Mall, is a charming restaurant and cafe known for its cozy ambiance and delicious offerings. Using locally-sourced ingredients, this eatery has garnered praise for its mouthwatering brunch fare and has been recognized as a four-time Best in Ithaca winner. The menu features an array of options including decadent pastries, breakfast sandwiches, omelets with rosemary potatoes, and a variety of vegan and gluten-free choices.
I went there during my trip in August and they had a special menu for each month. There was a line at lunch time but the service was good and most of all the food was delicious! I had the frittata called Finely and it is one of the restaurants I want to go to again in Ithaca.
Ji K — Google review
I ate here based on Google reviews. I was not impressed. When I arrived at 9:30 am it was not busy but the service was very slow. My server was inattentive and didn’t express any interest in my wellbeing. My food was delivered so slowly that I had to rush to eat and then hustled to the register to pay because I knew that my one-hour parking meter was nearly expired. I was parked less than five minutes from the cafe, so you can see it took me 50 minutes to get my meal, pay and rush to my vehicle. I had three minutes spare. Google directions are inadequate. The photo shows there is no signage only for the cafe. When you go through the entrance you need to take the stairs down and then walk ahead. There is a funny smell in the lower level where the cafe is.
Matt L — Google review
Wonderful staff, cool location and general vibes (love the fish tanks), and delicious food. The Kai omlette with sourdough toast was excellent. The kitchen easily and effectively handled my wife's dietary demands around celiac disease. Reasonably priced to boot! Will absolutely return. Great job all around! Thanks!
Josh L — Google review
Oatmeal was loaded with pecans and currents, delicious cinnamon spicy layer between bowl and oatmeal. If you like oatmeal I would highly recommend this. Arrived at opening time (8:30), but they were off to a slow start. Specials not available until 10. Woman at checkout was pleasant and helpful. Waitress was somewhat efficient but didn't seem happy to be there.

Great place. Everything was delicious, especially the tomato chutney. The drip coffee was much better than you’d expect from a diner. They buy it from a local roaster. Great experience. Very friendly.

Had a delicious brunch with friends on a Sunday morning. Staff was fantastic and attentive. Food was excellent and fast. We had a group six and everything was spot on! I ordered the pecan waffle special. This waffle was wonderful...made with browned butter, topped with chantilly cream, toasted pecans, and drizzled with maple syrup! Yummy! Featured in the photos are items that our table ordered: Waffle Special, Eggs Benedict, and the Omelet Special. Will definitely return! What a gem. FYI - cash or check only.

I live right nearby and love their service and locally-sourced food. Food is good, selection nothing too amazing, but just really solid. Free coffee refills are a plus! It's no wonder there's always a huge line during weekends. Staff are friendly, though service is not very fast. Plan for a little extra time to finish up a meal here.

Stella's Diner is a spacious eatery adorned with vintage signs and Betty Boop cartoons, making it a favorite among locals. The diner offers mouth-watering all-American comfort food, including burgers, fries, spaghetti and meatballs, pot roasts, omelets, tuna melts, casseroles, and seafood platters. Located on Wolf St., Stella's Diner provides an authentic American dining experience in Syracuse. The traditional American vibe of the restaurant adds to its charm.
A Perfect Breakfast at Stella’s Diner! Stella’s Diner in Syracuse is an absolute gem for breakfast lovers! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The highlight of my meal was the omelette—cooked to absolute perfection. It was fluffy, flavorful, and packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every bite was a delight, and it’s clear the kitchen knows how to master the art of breakfast. The sides were just as impressive—the toast was perfectly golden, and the hash browns were crispy and seasoned just right. The service was equally fantastic. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure our coffee cups were always full. The portions were generous, and the prices were more than reasonable for the quality of food and experience. If you’re in Syracuse and looking for a breakfast spot that delivers on all fronts, Stella’s Diner is the place to go. Great food, great service, and a cozy diner vibe—I can’t wait to come back!

Great overall experience. Flavorful dishes down to the coffee had a very present grounded beans flavor compared to typical watered down diner or as I would call it ‘gas station’ coffee. Had steak and eggs and it was perfect! My family’s dishes were just as enjoyable.

Delicious food, atmosphere and the prices are reasonable. I had the rattlesnake pasta and that lasted me for days. You get a lot for what you pay for.

A classic American diner. Freshly made food pretty fast! Hearty breakfasts. Stellar service! Friendly all the time! It has been in SYR forever. Constantly busy but they manage it all well. Free parking.

This is a diner with yummy breakfast choices! Had a basic scrambled eggs with sausage and hash browns and toast. I enjoyed it with the bottomless coffee refills. There was quite a a wait as it was Sunday morning but they turned over the tables quickly so it was only a fifteen or twenty minute wait. Not bad at all. Service was pleasant. They got out the food quickly. Decor is basic diner, clean, a great place for diner food. No complaints! If you don't mind sitting at the counter when a stool becomes available, then there is no wait at all.

Went to Stella's Diner by chance as we were looking for a place close by to have breakfast before getting back on the road. Waitress was pleasant and attentive. She made sure that our food was served hot and our coffee cups were full. We were surprised with sizable portions that tasted good 😊

Very nice breakfast with the fam. Went at 11am and the place was absolutely packed. Despite that, the wait time wasn't horrible and neither was the wait for the food itself. An absolute must place to try! My husband and I couldn't decide between sweet or savory, so we ordered the breakfast crepes and the berry crepes with cream to split. Every bite was heaven and the coffee was the cherry on top of a perfect experience. The restaurant is open, bright and welcoming and the staff was darling. A reason to come back to beautiful Canandaigua!

The atmosphere was delightful, clean and decorations on point. We had some ricotta cheese toast to kick off our dinner along with some cordon bleu chicken and rugby crepe dishes. All our plates were amazing– from portion size, flavor and consistency to pricing. The reason I’m giving this place 4 stars is how rushed the whole interaction with our waitress Ashley felt. Don’t get me wrong, she was fast and attentive to our needs, but it felt as if we were being pushed out the door before we were ready. She brought us takeout boxes while we were still in the middle of our plates, then had a check ready when we wanted to move on with dessert. Not five minutes after our dessert was out she came by with a handheld computer to check us out. It caught me off guard, I was again still working on my dish and taking in how good my strawberry crepe was. She earned her tip, but uncomfortably managed with speed and a strange rush to end our meal. We’ll absolutely be back though. Their crepes were amazing lol.

The Chicken & Waffles Crepe is likely the most pleasant culinary mouth experience I have had. The hot, crispy, juicy, savory chicken... sweet maple bourbon sauce... crispy salty bacon... a beautifully tender crepe... Perfection! I have had it both with and without the bacon cream sauce, and I find it too rich with the sauce. Ashley K helped us out today and made our visit extra wonderful - thank you!

Excellent place to go for breakfast. Great breakfast food options, specialty drinks, and a great atmosphere in a great little town. Food was delicious, atmosphere was great, service was excellent. I ordered the make your own omelet and it was cooked to perfection. A friend ordered the banana ans strawberry crepe and that looked amazing. If you are anywhere near this place, I would recommend stopping in and ordering something.

Great food, excellent service, wonderful atmosphere. I love Canandaigua and all the shops on Main Street. It is always a joy to stop in and reserve a table (because it’s always a 40 minute wait) and then walk around to the different shops. My wife tried the fall turkey crepe and it was honestly the best thing we’ve had here. It was delicious. We ended up splitting her food because there was so much and we both loved it. The turkey is juicy and delicious, the crepe wraps together this delightful turkey dinner that includes bacon and cranberry cream cheese. It was perfect. Meanwhile I ordered the breakfast crepe, which was honestly a mistake. It was dry and needed maple syrup or something. It just didn’t compare and I regretted getting it. I ordered some toast on the side, which was okay. We also ordered some crepe chips, but most of them were burnt or soggy. The ones that weren’t were delicious and paired perfectly with the cream cheese frosting dip stuff. Honestly I wouldn’t get them again. I will definitely bring my wife back here, but probably not frequently. There are other solid brunch spots in Canandaigua.

Architecture and ambience is absolutely unique and beautiful. Servers are friendly & efficient. Meals were far more unique and gourmet than expected - a really nice experience. We tried the Nutella Crepes with strawberry & banana ... exquisite. Chicken & Waffles Crepes - excellent texture & fabulously unique sauces. Crepes Madame - tantalizing and unexpected flavor combinations! Maple Stackers - classic comfort food with high quality sausage. Only negatives - server did not offer refills on the bottomless coffees, until we asked for them at the very end of the meal. Cream & sugar would be so much nicer if served with a pitcher/pourer instead of all the messy containers and packets. Coffees are delicious! Thanks for the special brunch!

We got the chicken and waffles (crepes) and an omlette. Food was just average (chicken was dry) and not presented very well, serving size pretty small for the price. The server was nice, but it took quite a while for us to get our food (about 30 min). It wasn’t that busy either - lots of empty tables at the time. Maybe people go here for the dessert crepes or something else more popular.

Delicious food and friendly staff. When we arrived we had to wait just a few minutes before we were shown a table outside at the back of the restaurant. It was quiet and peaceful. We inquired with the staff on places to visit and other potential meal choices, since we were visiting the area. The staff where very knowledgeable and full of recommendations. Excellent food. We particularly like the Cordon Bleu for a savory dish and the caramelized banana crêpes for our desert.

Sure! Here's a 3-star review based on your ratings: ★★★☆☆ – Mixed Experience at Horizons Restaurant and Lounge We visited Horizons Restaurant and Lounge in Geneva-on-the-Lake with high hopes. The atmosphere was definitely the highlight—relaxing, with beautiful views and a welcoming ambiance that made for a great setting. For the price, we expected better food. Overall, it’s a nice place to enjoy a drink and the view, but if you’re going for the food, you might leave disappointed.

Ee stopped in at Horizons Restaurant & Lounge to find something for breakfast. Two of the four of us decided to eat at the buffet style breakfast. We got there and had to wait quite a while to be seated. So two of us just had coffee only. (After finally being seated. And food I mention, the place was not crowded! ) The two that ate said the food was bland. The service was almost nonexistent. And at the end they tried to charge for four meals! We had to get that addressed before the bill got adjusted to reflect the correct amounts. Not the best place to go, but it was one of the only places open, unfortunately.

My review is based solely on the location and the views from the hotel. We stopped for lunch but it was closed. We sat in the back and recorded a few songs enjoying the magnificent views. We had the luck of catching an eagle flying by.

I just wanted to say this place was wonderful. We were definitely a little under dressed for this place and was still treated with so much class and respect. I have to give a huge shout out to our waitress Jacqi. She was absolutely fantastic. She was so nice. So professional. She spoke with so much class and tbh when she spoke she reminded me so much of Drew Berrymore who is my favorite actress. I’d highly recommend this restaurant and to request her as your waitress. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a large party of 13. The atmosphere was nice and beautiful at sunset. There wasn’t that many other tables, maybe 4 tables and the food seemed to take a while to be served. 5 of us had the Geneva Burger. 3 hours later, we all had stomach issues and vomited. The burger was so-so; 3 cooked medium and 2 cooked well done.

Stopped on a whim, hungry. Very busy on a Friday afternoon about 5pm but we found a seat at the counter. Immediately waited on & food came quickly. Hot, fresh, abundant & a excellent fish fry supper at a great price. Cool place, lots to look at, quite popular. Cash only with atm in entry way. No alcohol, ice cream fountain available.

Visited Connie’s Diner for the first time and was not let down! Small place, seems like it gets pretty busy, but I didn’t have to wait long before getting a table. Service and food were great! Had to get a loaded milkshake, even though it was 9 am! They serve the whole menu all day too. They are cash only, but I read that they have an ATM on site. Will definitely visit again!

After roaming the sunny but cool autumn streets of skaeneatlas it was time for coffee and some treats at the bakery. The Viennese swirl was amazing. The pastries simply crumbled and melted in the mouth. The cream with the raspberry jam just added to the deliciousness. The coconut covered donut was fresh. As was the drip coffee. Awesome experience. Wish they had kept the handwritten boards instead of the tv panels. Have taken off some points from the service as my better half had asked for a cookie to be warmed up which could have been just zapped in the microwave but a firm no nixed that. Would a 15s zap been that bad?

Water St. Cafe is a laid-back local spot that serves hearty American breakfast and lunch options like eggs, burgers, and coffee. Visitors have praised the cafe for its accommodating service, especially for those with dietary restrictions such as gluten-free or celiac requirements. The menu offers a variety of delicious and generously portioned dishes, with freshly made items that may require some waiting but are well worth it.
If I could give this place 6/5 stars I would! The food was tasty and the portions were large. You won't find a good breakfast priced this fairly anywhere else. Quick and easy service, no wait time on a Saturday late-morning. I'm not a Geneva local but if I was this would be my go-to breakfast place.

Amazing breakfast with friends. Sat outside on a perfect morning. Great selection of food with fair prices. Staff were amazing and accommodating with our group of 8. Food was very fresh and tasty. Service is top notch. Be sure to buy a few of their hand made coffee mugs.

Having had a highly satisfactory lunch here, the six of us understood why Water Street Cafe was full of diners. Luckily, we spotted it on the map in Geneva. During our five-day Finger Lakes vacation, my roasted pepper chicken soup in this Cafe is the one that stands out! Their balsamic vinaigrette dressing on their green salad with chicken, avocado, cucumber and tomatoes was equally delicious. Our friends were all happy about their chosen lunch. Their staff are attentive, pleasant and accommodating of our request for three separate checks. To give you an idea how reasonable lunch is here, my bowl of creamy, tasty, tender chicken soup and my hubby’s salad described above cost us $17. Our friends’ checks were a bit more or less than ours. All of us were full.

Fantastic French toast! If you can snag a table outside, definitely do it… otherwise, consider getting your order to go, as the indoor atmosphere and seating are pretty underwhelming. That said, the food was excellent and a great value!

So this is a great little hole in the wall spot. It is a little tight inside with space but overall it comfortable. The portions are large and very reasonably priced. I made the mistake of getting the half portion of the biscuits and gravy along with half a fritata and it was an immense meal. My wife went with the omelet and it didnt disappoint either. The sausage gravy was delicious and the biscuits were a nice consistency, not too dense. They were very diligent on their coffee service sport some very nice mugs for sale. All in all a very family friendly spot to grab a good breakfast in the area.

Visiting area with friends we were looking for a good breakfast place early. Found this one open and since we like diner style restaurants, we took a chance. They were very busy but we got seated quickly and also waited on quickly. Great value for the breakfast options and so delicious! Found out we could purchase the breads so since we enjoyed the raisin bread we both bought a loaf to take home. We loved the good size coffee mugs and the frequent refills. Highly recommend this place if you're in Geneva.

Service was not good. Four at the table ... two breakfast were delivered and then nothing. Had to hunt down where the food was. How does a server not notice two people do not have their food ... and that server took the orders. No apologies given . Some food good (farmer omelet) others not (BLT etc). A cafe with a variety of food options, Collegetown Bagels has been around for over 20 years and is well-known in Ithaca. They offer bagels, shmears, coffee, and ice cream which makes it a great spot to relax and refuel. The vibe is casual and the staff are friendly.
A bustling, colorful staple in Ithaca. CTB delivers energy, personality, and a lot of choices. The smoothie was excellent—rich, real fruit flavor without being watered down or filled with ice like chain stores often do. The bagel and sandwich menu is massive and fun to read, full of creative combinations and Ithaca-themed names. The vibe is college-town casual but efficient, with bright decor, friendly staff, and both grab-and-go options and spots to linger. You’ll likely wait a bit during peak hours, but it’s worth it.

As it was my first time going to this restaurant, I was optimistic to go and buy and try their fresh juice as it is in their menu. As soon as I went to them to take my order, I asked her where the mango and pineapple were in my juice. I did not see their source in the juice I ordered. The cashier told me that it lost the cranberries, which loses all the colors of the other things added to the berries. I told her that this is something convincing. I paid the full expensive amount without giving her a tip because I suspected that the juice might be adulterated. So I took the juice and left because they would close at 6 pm. As soon as I arrived home, I did not drink it immediately because I was fasting, and I decided that the fresh juice would be my breakfast for fasting. As a biology student and researcher of living materials and sources that cannot be seen with the naked eye, I decided to add a sample of the juice that I bought for a huge amount and use my electric microscope to make sure that the source of the mango and pineapple was added to my juice. The surprise was that my juice did not contain any sources. For mango and pineapple according to my request and according to the huge amount that I paid, this is a big deception as this is my first time going to this site, and as long as others are satisfied with the deception that their juice is made up of everything they asked for, then it is okay as long as they will pay a high price for fraud and deception, but I will recover my right peacefully and the deceivers will pay a high price for their audacity to deceive customers by not adding the sources of the buried order and as the cashier went far away fleeing from the reality of the deceitful deception that she is skilled at as soon as I asked her about the source of the mango and pineapple that I paid for in my requested juice and the price of which was buried high, as long as this is their audacity with deceit and deception it will not last , if there where options to not give them any star I would choose zero star according to their scams
Sameer T — Google review
CTB is a great place to have a quick bite when in Ithaca. The bagels and the sandwiches are good. Prices are also very reasonable. There are no table service, and the line to order could be quite long at peak times. However, the line does move fairly quickly as the staff taking the orders and the staff preparing the food are very efficient.

College town bagels is what it sounds like-but top of class. Shown by the fact that I think there are at least 3 locations- downtown Ithaca, one right "on" Cornell U. campus, and one in a mall on East Hill in all in Ithaca. Efficient system of huge variety of bagel breakfast hot sandwiches, regular sandwiches, chips, etc. Great coffee, teas, at a pretty good price. Also prepared to go meals, salads etc. My fav bagel is the rosemary salt- so good- they often run out! Try the Bronx or Brooklyn, varieties of egg (real) with bacon or ham or cheese... Vegan options as well- with faux meats etc. Usually great service-occasionally young staff can be spacey but overall like I said "efficient" system of ordering at counter and getting it called to pick up when done.

They've had the best bagels in Ithaca since they opened. Wide variety of toppings and sandwiches. High quality coffee, snacks and drinks. Quality candies and chocolates as well. This location could use a larger bar for 1/2 & 1/2, sugar, lids etc. But the place is well maintained, has indoor and outdoor seating. Young, friendly staff who pay attention to you. Food was well prepared and came out quick.

Wonderful little diner in Oswego. The seats could use an upgrade but overall the interior is good enough for comfortable seating and while the establishment is small, the layout is done well so they can fit plenty of parties. Outside seating is also an added bonus when the weather cooperates. The food was excellent and served quickly, hot, and accurate. Coffee carafé on the table! An accomodation that has been lost on many other diners and restaurants. The staff was friendly, helpful, and non-instrusive. They stayed busy and worked hard the entire time my party was there. Excellent service! Highly recommend!

Wades is a small old fashion diner in Oswego NY which is well known for breakfast. The locals all visit and the word has gotten out because when we visited on a Thursday there was a line out the door. Definitely worth the wait. Wades serves breakfast and is only open until noon. Raisen bread is a signature on the menu. And you may also buy a loaf to bring home. Home made nice thick slices filled with rasin and cinnamon soft and delicious. I highly reccomed it. If your a coffee lover you will love the fact that Wades provides a full craft of coffee at the table.( just like the old days) Wades starts out with water and proceeds with your order. Unless you order a small juice be prepared for a large glass of ice cold juice accompanied with a straw for slirping. I ordered the bacon and cheese omlett. Which I highly recommend. Breakfast omlett comes with home fries and your choice of toast which of course was the raisen. The bacon was not at all greasy cut up into small pieces and was accompanied with the right amount of cheese. It didn't ooze out into the plate. Homefries were delicious. A nice crust on the sides but potatoes melted in your mouth with full flavor of a potatoe. Not at all overly seasoned. This was our first visit to Wades but won't be our last

I enjoyed our meal here. Love the atmosphere of a real diner. I ordered one of their house meals. A meatloaf club sandwich. It was good but I think I'll stick with the more traditional turkey club or just a meatloaf dinner with mashed and gravy. But hey, that's on me for going off the tracks. This was hands down the best meal I had on my trip to the fingers lake area. The food is very affordable and very good. The lady that served us was very nice as well. I loved the cream of broccoli soup. I highly recommend eating here!

Great for breakfast or lunch. Huge portions - pancakes are full plate size (about 10") so 2 were plenty. Can add on sides (e.g , bacon etc) to main entrees for less than the a la carte cost. I had 2 pancakes and 2 eggs with a side of bacon. One pancake was slightly overcooked on one side but that was the only dowside. Sandwiches we saw at other tables were huge. Can be busy but wait was short. Clean restaurant with friendly staff. We're in town for the Wineglass marathon and they had a sign welcoming runners - and the large portions fit the bill

Came here to have lunch with a couple of friends after shopping. There was plenty of parking and we didn't wait to be seated. The server was very nice and she was prompt with everything. I wasn't impressed with my food. I guess maybe it was my fault for not asking some question. I got a chicken Ceasar pita. It tasted more like a chicken speedie wrap made with a pita shell. I was anticipating it tasting it like chicken Ceasars salad. I can't eat onions and there were onions in the wrap. It didn't list them. I guess I should have asked, but I have never had onions in my chicken Ceasars salad. The fries could have been crisper. But then again maybe that is just my preference. The restaurant is handicap accessible. They have tables and booths. The bathrooms are also handicap accessible. They take cash, credit card or debit for payments. You take your bill to the cash register at the front of the building.

Nestled in the charming town of Watkins Glen, Curly's Family Restaurant is a beloved establishment that has been delighting locals and visitors alike since 1955. This cozy diner exudes a warm, inviting atmosphere with its checkered tablecloths and friendly service, making it the perfect spot for families to gather. The menu boasts an array of classic American comfort food, from hearty breakfasts to satisfying lunches and dinners.
Early of April 2025, Excellent. I recommend this place. We went there before noon and ordered from the dinner menu, especially seafood. Both soups and salads are fantastic. We also love their iced tea and fresh, grined-in-house coffee. Will definitely be back. It's way much better than I expected. Added more photo on June 2nd, 2025. Ordered the same thing. 😊

The service was outstanding. The coffee was excellent. We had a late lunch of burgers and fries. The burgers were cooked perfectly but we had two issues with the burger buns. They seemed a bit stale and they were much too fragile for the burgers. After just one bite they were breaking up. The regular and the sweet potato fries were both delicious. We finished with a slice each of cherry and blueberry pie. A great finish with our second cups of coffee.

A nice spot for breakfast and diner food! The food here was bare bones, no frills, very simple. Each dish was prepared well and fair. Although nothing too outstanding, it was quite enjoyable! The service was great.

Very friendly family restaurant. Moderately busy on the day we ordered. Will Definitely recommend the omelette (western omelette - it contains ham but if you don’t want that there are multiple options like turkey and bacon ). Waffles and french toast are not as expected and strawberries are not so fresh. Coffee has a nice taste and can be refilled multiple times. Would recommend a Cappuccino.

Nice little family owned restaurant. They serve lunch and breakfast. Come have a seat in one of their booths or tables and let the servers here pamper you. They are very friendly and efficient. The place and bathrooms are clean. There is a pretty decent sized parking lot. The parking lot and the building are wheelchair and walker friendly. It is within walking distance to several motels and Airbnb's. They take cash, credit or debit cards. Family friendly so bring your kids.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a beloved chain restaurant known for its American comfort food and charming on-site general store. Visitors rave about the unique experience, from the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff to the opportunity for kids to pick out toys after their meal. The food consistently receives high praise, with generous portions and delicious options like the country boy breakfast and juicy grilled chicken. Guests also appreciate the attentive service, ensuring that coffee cups never run low.
It had been a long time since we went to a Cracker Barrel. This one didn't disappointed. I ordered the hamburger stake, came with sautéed onions and delicious creamy gravy and country hash brown potatoes. I also had a sugar plum mimosa. So good! Shout out to hostess Jessica and phenomenal waitress that patiently helped with my order, Savannah M. It was a great experience!

Halloween and Fall has hit the shelves at Cracker Barrel’s Country store! Mid July May seem early if you are not a Holiday enthusiast, but now is the time to shop! They have Cracker Barrel exclusive decor. I found it hard to resist some of the new items. The store is packed with merchandise and though I did not dine there this trip, it smelled amazing! I have previously had brunches and Easter Dinner at this location. I’ll definitely be back to shop and dine. Update I brought my kids as a post Easter late lunch early dinner. Service was efficient, and friendly. The food came out pretty quickly, it was a Monday afternoon so not busy. My son had steak and eggs, which he enjoyed but the steak was unevenly cooked and extremely rare. Teenage boys aren't very picky and the steak was consumed before I could even comment! My daughter had the Oreo Stuffed Cheesecake Pancakes. We each tried a bite as well. Pure sinful chocolate cheesecake delight! I recommend sharing as a dessert. They are so rich, my daughter could only eat one. I had the Saucy Chicken Sandwich with Tennessee Hot sauce with steak fries. I should have tried the sauce before pouring over the chicken, it hits you Smokey, bbq, then the hot! I love spicy and hot but this was different, and has the highest calories of the sauces. Chicken hand breaded with the perfect crunch to chicken ratio. Loved the sandwich pick with iconic barrel on top! Steak fries served hot and crisp added some pepper to give them a bit more flavor. Love the old fashioned ambiance and the Cracker Barrel store! They still have the checker boards my kids used to play as children. I hope with many Cracker Barrel's being modernized they keep the old fashioned feel, keep the nostalgia alive! It's code orange Ghoulies at CB! Halloween is in full swing on display! They have the sold out online vintage blow molds in stock! So run don't wait the blow molds are highly sought after, and are predicted to be heirlooms for us holiday haunters! Always love the nostalgic vibe of the classic store with oodles of merchandise! Tons of summer novelties as well. I didn't eat this visit as I already broke the bank with my hauntingly amazing Halloween purchases! But I did sign up for the rewards membership and scored a complimentary shareable appetizer as my first reward, good for thirty days! I'll be back to cash in on that and the summer menu looks delectable! The staff was very friendly and retrieved the huge haunted house blow mold from stock and delivered to check out.

The store is nice to walk around and look at things. They have lots of old fashion candy (like Lifesavers cream and coconut candy bars). The server was so nice and sweet. The fried catfish was unseasoned and bland, even with hot sauce. I got over medium eggs and the eggs were Sunnyside up. I ate what I can because my server was nice. This place has "The best pancakes" crispy edges and buttery and soft in middle. Perfect. It did seem like the cooks do not listen to the server and forget items. Overall okay meal.

My visit to this cracker barrel was amazing! My waitress, I am not sure of her name, she had blue glasses, very kind. We ordered the chicken tender meal, w/ mac and cheese, fries, chicken noodle soup, and the waitress brought us the best cornbread and biscuits. A not so good day, turned great with the deliciousness of this establishment. Food was 10/10 would highly recommend this location. Absolutely no complaints for dinner around 5:30 pm. No wait, comfortable, enjoyed the games at the table, and was really warmed by the staff’s presence. Was even convinced to buy candy on the way out by our waitress, which 3/$5.99 bagged candies was a great way to end the night!!!! Also- gift shop is a must even just to peruse.

I've always loved Cracker Barrel! Never a bad experience or food. The staff have always been warm, friendly and helpful. My meal this time was the Fresh Strawberries pancakes(with real maple syrup), scrambled eggs, crisp bacon and iced tea. Everything was delicious! There was just enough food to give me a 2nd meal for home. The store always fascinates me with all the variety. Colorful, nicely arranged displays with holiday items tucked in.

The tour bus pulled into The Cracker Barrel in Cicero NY last night for dinner. What a great place, huge menu, a variety of meals basically down home, country cooking. You know mac and cheese, shepherds pie, meatloaf. All the stuff you grew up eating. Fancy.. nope, but big portions, delicious and not expensive. Friendly waiters and served fast to get us back on the tour bus. You leave through the gift shop, also amazing with great prices.

The Penn Yan Diner, a charming establishment that has been serving delicious meals since 1925, is a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. This classic diner offers a delightful selection of breakfast options, sandwiches, and shakes in a nostalgic setting. With its old-school ambiance and delectable menu offerings, the Penn Yan Diner is definitely worth a visit when exploring the Finger Lakes region.
What a great find!! Beautiful homey little Diner right in the Village, with great food and most likely the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had!! The tavern ham they use has great flavor and make sure you the locals homemade hot sauce it has great flavor and medium heat. And on top of all that Tabby and Violet you are the definition of awesome service and what service should be with a smile!!! Thank you and I'm looking forward to my next trip through Penn Yan.

We had the breakfast sandwich with home fries - real potatoes, not frozen. Breakfast was great. Coffee was very good. Excellent service and a great dining experience in this authentic retro diner!

Food was great and everyone working there was wonderful! We over ordered because we couldn't decide. She had "the Sean" which was 2 eggs, bacon, French toast and potatoes. Also ordered 1/2 order biscuits and gravy - sooooo good! He ordered the eggs Benedict with side order of 1 sweet cream pancake. Everything was delicious! We'll come back again.

All the dishes we had were outstanding! The server was attentive as well. It's a retro diner as advertised and I thought it was well done and cozy. I would have taken a few pictures inside but it was a little too intrusive with all the patrons.

They had gluten free bread they used to substitute eggs Benedict. The hollandaise was yum & the eggs cooked perfectly. Also a good serving of hollandaise! The gluten free bread was pretty good. Their gluten free Belgian waffle with ice cream, ugh so good!!! A must try especially if you're Gluten intolerant. Gluten free pancakes also were really good. Sausage links were not best but not worst, bacon not best either. And home fries weren't really how most home fries are, needed more cooking. Coffee was good! Such a cute place BTW. Staff were nice but they were understaffed both times so service a bit slower than other places. So if you're in a hurry, not sure how well it would go. Also they were very aware of gluten allergies. Highly recommend!! It was packed both times FYI.

Pretty good “home cooked” food server here. Quite funny… sign outside says “4th best chili in PY!” Mid century look with Formica counters; yellow and turquoise. Great bar seats up front, although this is a family diner. Also, first time for us - pay using a unique QR code - no cashier needed

Got the Banana Crunch French Toast, food and service was excellent. There was a debate among the locals on what was better The Diner or The Wagner across the street, they’re both great but when I’m back out here the diner is my favorite!
Leigh E — Google review
A wonderful bit of old fashioned Americana right smack in the middle of the computer age! It was Sunday morning, we went in, they took my cell number and texted me when we could be served. We waited about 20 minutes. We sat at the end of the counter where all the cooking action takes place. You use your phone camera to snap the QR code and your menu appears on your phone! Pancakes, buckwheats, waffles, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, hot coffee and decaf too! Lunch items, French onion soup. You want it, they got it in a 1925 dining car. It's a meal and a show all at once. Great buckwheat pancakes. If I lived in Penn Yan, I'd eat there every weekend! Great food and lots of nostalgia and just plain FUN!

Located in the charming village of Hammondsport, NY, Crooked Lake Ice Cream Company is a beloved 50s-style diner that offers more than just ice cream. Visitors can enjoy a delicious breakfast menu featuring classics like avocado toast and buttermilk pancakes. The shop's Hammondsport-themed ice cream options are also a hit, with flavors like Glenn's Favorite and The Fastest Man on Earth.
We picked this restaurant for breakfast when we were visiting Hammondsport. They are open early for breakfast and that was very helpful for us to get some proteins in before beginning a strenuous hike in the finger lakes state parks. We tried the veggie omelette, the make your own sandwich (muffin and choice of vegetables) and a mug of hot chocolate. All of them were delicious. I agree with the other reviews that the portion size of the dishes is quite small for the price we pay. So we ended up ordering ice creams to go as well and the two flavors that we tried, Maple walnut and Gaffer Tracks were yummy! Nice restaurant with quick service, relaxing vibes and great food.

Nestled in the heart of Corning, NY, Poppleton Bakery & Cafe has been a beloved culinary gem since its inception in 2013. This charming spot is renowned for its delightful array of homemade offerings, including scrumptious crepes, hearty soups, fresh salads, and decadent desserts—all crafted from scratch without any preservatives or additives.
Popped in for lunch by chance when I was strolling by. I had the turkey -pesto crepe with potato casserole as the side, hard to decide based on the many options. Most delicious lunch I’ve had in a very long time. Ambience was chill and vibe was cozy.
Rosanne W — Google review
Ordered a turkey BLT as a crepe with a side of potato casserole at exactly 9:39 a.m. After waiting 30 minutes, I received a stone-cold crepe that seemed to be prepackaged instead of made fresh like typical crepe places. Meanwhile, the “potato casserole” looked suspiciously like a scoop from a crockpot. To top it all off, this masterpiece was served on flimsy paper plates, the kind you find at family potlucks. Not exactly the “artisan cafe” experience I had in mind. And let’s not forget the kitchen ambiance: constant door slams and beeps from what was clearly microwaves. When the forgot our bacon, we watched through the kitchen opening the bacon being reheated in the microwave. The baked items in the case looked good and seemed fresh. There was a constant line for cookies, etc. Final verdict? Left disappointed about my breakfast. Would go back and try the baked goods. Hopefully, they will be a better option.

The unique thing about this cafe is its large of savory crepes. I ordered a spinach crepe with eggs, feta cheese, tomatoes, almonds, and basil mayo. The dish was well-presented and tasty. This place also serves patinas, bagels, and a few gluten free options. There's a separate bubble tea menu with about two dozen flavor options. I did not try their coffee.

Wow! Love, love love. The options on the menu were fantastic. It's such a cute place. Great vibe and atmosphere. I think the service could have been better, like a greeting upon entry or at least saying I'll be with you in a second. We ordered the spinach crepe, bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich, and bagel with cream cheese. They were absolutely delicious. I was amazed at the smell and taste of the crepe. Perfection. I love cute little cafe's like this one. It was also nice that they refer customers to soulful coffee cafe, because we had stopped there for some lattes. It's good to know that local businesses support the others. This place is known for their bubble teas. Although they did have some coffee/tea drinks. The waitress recommended the cheesy potatoes and it was fantastic. Mind blown at all the flavors. It's also very kid friendly. My daughter had a blast and was able to color and enjoyed her food.

Very sweet little café and bakery that offers breakfast and lunch all day. The quiches are a gluten-free hash brown crust which I have to say is absolutely awesome and satisfying. We got the tomato spinach feta and almond quiche. A side of fruit. A cold brew and a hot coffee. Everything was excellent the service was cheerful and efficient. The place was clean and well decorated

If you're looking for a quick-bite or an even larger order for an office luncheon, this is your spot! Shop local. Shop loyal. Shop the Gaffer District. Shop POPPLETON BAKERY, you're sure to tantalize your taste buds.

We were looking for a mid-afternoon gluten free treat and stopped in. We were pleased to discover about a dozen GF items including cakes, cake pops, brownies, fruit breads, cup cakes and bars. We chose a piece of the GF Carrot Cake and it was the best we've ever had; was moist and flavorful and with fresh coconut throughout. The classic cream cheese icing screamed more. And the price was very reasonable. We also had a cup of coffee that was delicious. We won't hesitate to stop here the next time we're in town.

Update: You were our waitress yourself not someone else I only know that because I asked for the manager. Also you never asked if I wanted it remade you argued with me when I said it wasn't right. A good owner at least would have discounted our meal. You only do good because you are right in front of a trailer park (nothing against trailer parks I used to live in one) We walked in it looked like a cute little diner! Got seated quickly. But then it went downhill 😔 it took the waitress almost 5 minutes to even come to our table we got our drinks immediately that we asked for thank you. The cranberry juice was watered down and the apple juice was so thick that my husband did not even want to drink it, but choked some down anyway to wash down the nasty food. I ordered eggs benedict traditional style. The eggs were cooked good, but the English muffin with soggy and she does not know what Canadian bacon is you get a thick piece of ham instead. Oh and the hash browns looked really good until you tasted them and they were cold and undercooked. My husband got some type of breakfast goulash and if it wasn't for the sausage gravy being hot the whole thing would have been cold and again the hash browns undercooked. The two pictures are the food that we left and I told her I would send her a picture of what eggs benedict is supposed to look like. When I asked for the manager she said it was her and even with leaving over half our plates she's still charged us full price. Unfortunately now I'm going someplace else to find some food

Discovered this wonderful diner while driving by and noticing the packed parking lot. Turned around and checked it out ourselves. Wow! This was now our third visit and each time, meals have been really good. Home cooked, daily soup (very favourite is the Cheeseburger soup), generous portions and reasonable prices. No wonder the place was hopping. Meatloaf was good, mashed potatoes AWESOME, really enjoy the Best Dam Chicken Sandwich. The breakfasts look great so will try that next time! Desserts also look so delicious - especially their Hershey’s ice cream!

Called this morning to order takeout breakfast. #1 2 eggs, hf, meat, tst. The menu above shows that it is $8. Went into pay and it was $14.04! I left it and did not pay. For that kind of money, I can purchase a dozen eggs, potatoes, meat and tst, cook it at home and eat it for at least 6 meals. Sorry, Brians but I got the same breakfast at a restaurant equivalent to yours for six bucks and some change. Left the Lady at the counter the difference to make it $10 as a tip on a carryout. I told her what happened and she said her parents just visited and they will not be returning due to high pricing. I understand full well the restaurant business as I waited tables for years. The woman who claimed to take my call, came out of the kitchen and said she never told me it was $8. She was very condesending and rude! I asked when I phoned and she said it was that why I ordered it. And now she wants to gaslight me and say she didn't confirm the price? Nice try! I left the bag and left. Even at $8 its a bit steep but I hadn't ate in days so I needed to eat on a very limited budget. I see how often its open and closed. It seems that it closed more often than not. If you want to make money to survive, you've gotta work. It doesnt mean you charge more to make your bills. I wont be returning anytime ever.

The food is fairly typical diner stuff. Although running out of roast beef by 2 on a Sunday was a sign of poor order management. They have some garbage plate menu items that are not seen in my area. The waitress was very sweet!

Erie Grill is a sleek American eatery located by the picturesque Erie Canal. It offers small and large plates, Sunday brunch, and nightly drink deals. The restaurant's open floor-style dining area provides a bright and inviting atmosphere for guests to enjoy its finely tuned American cuisine and cocktails made with fresh ingredients. Gabriel the bartender, thank you for being so inviting with a smile upon stopping in! Great happy hour and what an upscale ambiance with even a nice view of the Erie canal. Please do stop into this hotel bar! I did not eat here so I do not know about the food. The bar is very clean!

The place was beautiful. We went on a Saturday with a reservation. We had four of the signature dishes. They all were pretty good. If you are looking for American cuisine this is a good place. The waitress who served us was a bit grumpy and we thought may be that because we were Asian. But I think she was not smiling with any of her customers.

This restaurant is inside the hotel. The service was pretty good except the waitress accidentally threw out our order. So though it’s cool she took accountability, it definitely prolonged the stay unfortunately. The food, or at least what I tried, wasn’t anything to RAVE about but everything was good.

We usually have a flawless meal here, but last night, it was lacking a little. The soup was just ok, and the beet salad, which was overdressed in balsamic vinegar, now only has 1 goat cheese medallion 😔 My husband ordered a filet MW, and it was very pink inside, but it was still delicious. The chips with onion dip are simple but fabulous.
Jenn J — Google review
Bottomline: Quality, ambiance and reasonably priced. A gem waiting to be discovered. During a recent family outing, we had the pleasure of dining at Erie Grill for breakfast. The experience was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the stage for a delightful meal. The decor is tasteful and inviting, offering a serene atmosphere that's a cut above the typical chain restaurant. The breakfast options were varied and delicious. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, and the quality was evident in every bite. The service was attentive and friendly, contributing to an overall enjoyable dining experience. One of the standout features of Erie Grill is the stunning view. Overlooking the serene river, the restaurant offers a picturesque setting that's perfect for a relaxing meal. It's a refreshing change from the generic ambiance of chain eateries. Overall, Erie Grill delivers exceptional quality and ambiance at a price comparable to IHOP. We would definitely go back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a superior dining experience without breaking the bank. Staff was pleasant too.

Bustling, strip-mall restaurant offering hearty breakfast & lunch dishes in a down-to-earth setting.
I brought my sister in law here for her first time Visting and she loved it and I knew that it was a great place to take her. The food is always amazing and the service was speedy we got our food 10 mins after we ordered. The portions are huge as well and the prices are really fair.

Special this past Saturday, French Toast with cream cheese and fresh berries, and of course whipped cream to top it off, very good, no need for syrup either.

Restaurant nice and clean. Staff great. Food not so good. Ordered eggs over easy, there was no yolk probably because they were small or medium eggs. Pancakes were super dry and heavy and cold. Omly thing good was my sausage. Server took pancakes off my bill. Was just disappointing. Had never had a bad meal prior to today. Won't go back.
Lynn F — Google review
Very good breakfast food. I can tell they use high end fresh ingredients. The bacon and toast is thick and delicious. The wait time can be long, for a table and to be served, so don't go if you are in a hurry. My only issue is the cost, it's almost 2x more expensive than a typical breakfast diner.

T's Restaurant is a hidden gem. Nestled somewhere between Ollie's and Dollar Tree in Webster, it looks unspectacular. But once you enter, you get a homey feeling of warm welcome, good mood, a jewel of a host, great, caring staff, and phenomenal breakfast. The booths are a bit old fashioned and so are the carpets and walls, but it seems, that's part of the restaurant's charm, and everything is clean and well taken care of. I was there for a while. At times it could be a bit loud, but we know how people scream at each other unnecessarily... nobody's fault! Reasonable prices, for a good portioned meal! I might not have been here the last time!!

We sought out this all vegan restaurant while dropping our son for camp at Syracuse. The food was outstanding, and the vibe is fun and bright. We ordered more comfort type foods which were quite tasty. The Mac and cheese was especially nice.

First time stopping in for a little snacks snack! I love vegan Mac and cheese and I enjoy trying every vegan restaurant’s “cheese” offerings. This place has excellent shell pasta Mac and cheese it was super creamy and had a nice flavor. The atmosphere was bright and it had ample outdoor seating. I also got a coconut “milk” shake which hit the spot! The baker cabinet looked amazing but ai was already so full from the Mac! Definitely a great spot to check out in Syracuse. Also has a very nice and outgoing staff! I felt welcome right away!

very friendly staff and amazing food! even my dad who isn’t vegan really enjoyed this place. also love the queer friendly atmosphere and free tampons, pads, and water. They also took my nut allergies seriously! highly recommend this place and can’t say enough good things about them :-) (i also love the art done by local artists!)❤️

Visited from out of town and glad we did. Parking can be a challenge. We ordered the reuben, parm wings, barbecue wings, cupcakes, oreo cheesecake, pb shake, onion rings, and chicken bacon ranch sandwich. Everything was amazing. Most places use sugar cane for the bone in the wings, I notice they use wood sticks. I def plan on returning when I return to Buffalo.

As a meat and cheese lover (trying to eat less of both), I’m so glad I tried this place- it’s delicious! I also felt more full after just half my meal, which usually doesn’t happen. Will definitely be back!! I got the sassy chicken sandwich with truffle fries and it was all so good!!!

Needed a quick bite while driving through Syracuse. This restaurant nailed it. Amazing salads that you would not believe are vegan. We go the southwest chicken salad and the Thai tofu salad. We don’t even like tofu and this was delicious.

Amazing vegan restaurant!! They’ve been in the game for a long time and it shows. I love their menu and portion sizes. The milkshakes are a menu highlight- definitely a must try.

I’ve been coming here for years and I’m not even vegan. Every single time the food is absolutely outstanding. Not one time has anything been bad. Everything is so fresh and perfectly cooked. If you’re coming here for the first time def try the garlic parm wings. Nachos are always perfect. I love the BLT and any of the fried chicken sandwiches. The shakes are amazing I love the Malcolm X. Corn chowder is amazing when they have it. Absolutely love the southwest chicken salad and their desserts are heavenly. Seriously vegan or not this restaurant is absolutely consistent.

Visiting the area, wanted good Italian food, this place had good reviews. We were unimpressed.Noel did a nice job, the place is cute, but the food didn’t match. We order the meatball app. 7 out of 10. He got the eggplant pram. sauce was bland 3 out of 10. I got the Haddock cristo fish was done well, but the “cristo” had way too many crackers. Just ordered soft drinks which were over priced.

The cafe is nicely furnished, well-kept, clean, and light-flooded with big windows. I arrived for a late lunch, and got a window table in response to my question. The service, host, and staff were very nice and friendly! I had a breaded chicken sandwich on brioche with house made chips and a spiced pickle. It looked wonderful. And it wasn't bad... it was filling, and that was about it... Everything was ok., but not more. The chicken was cooked to perfection, the breading was good. But the entire sandwich was as bland as it can be. The chips were not bad for home made, a bit too oily though, and a tad too wide, but for a restaurant not classy enough. The restaurant is surprisingly big. Since I took a break from wok I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere... which was over, when later additional customers came in. Why on Earth it's necessary to place everybody at the same spot and increase the noise-level to 'unbearable' if 7/8 of the restaurant is empty remains a mystery to me.

The State Diner, a beloved establishment that first opened its doors in 1936, has been serving up classic American, Italian, and Greek dishes for over 70 years. Originally housed in a railcar before expanding into a brick-and-mortar building, this iconic eatery is known for its homemade baked goods and quintessentially Americana-inspired interior. Whether you're craving traditional diner breakfasts or hearty lunches and dinners, the State Diner has something to satisfy every palate.
If you love classic American diners with a retro touch, then State Diner in Ithaca, NY, is a must-visit. This cozy little spot on State Street has all the nostalgic vibes of an old-school diner, complete with booth seating, bright red accents, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to enjoy comfort food, whether you’re a local or just passing through. For lunch, I ordered the Greek Burger with Fries and a handmade milkshake—a combo that perfectly hits the spot. The Greek burger is served on pita bread instead of a traditional bun, adding a nice twist. However, the patty itself was a bit dry and could have used a bit more seasoning. The fries, on the other hand, were crispy and golden, exactly how you’d want them in a classic diner setting. Now, let’s talk about the real highlight—the milkshake. This thick, creamy shake, topped with whipped cream, was the definition of indulgence. The retro-style ad on the table proudly states, “They’re Delicious,” and I have to agree! Whether you go for vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry, it’s the kind of treat that brings back childhood memories. Overall, State Diner is a charming little gem in Ithaca that serves up a nostalgic dining experience. While the burger could use a little more flavor, the atmosphere and that killer milkshake make it a spot worth checking out. Perfect for a laid-back meal with a touch of old-school Americana!

Walked here from our hotel for breakfast during a short overnight stay on our way to Niagara Falls. Classic don't judge a book by its cover place. Our server was awesome. Food was very good. Pretty typical diner food, but on the good side of that range. Very interesting seats!

A true classic diner gem! Stopped in and was blown away by the quality of the food and the cozy, nostalgic atmosphere. The place has that perfect old-school diner vibe — warm, welcoming, and authentic. I had the omelette, which was cooked to perfection, and the pancakes were absolutely amazing — fluffy, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving a great breakfast or brunch spot!

Very generous portion sizes. The chicken wrap was very good, and the breakfast food is what you’d expect from your local diner. Overall, very solid.

It’s always great to eat in an independent restaurant, not a chain place, and even better if it’s a diner. Extra points for being a really old diner. The vegetable omelette was tasty, and waitress was friendly and accommodating. Just one minor complaint: mushrooms should always be fresh, and never canned.
Emily P — Google review
A Classic Diner Experience with a Twist On our drive home from the Finger Lakes Region, my wife and I stopped at the State Diner in Ithaca for a late breakfast/early lunch on a Sunday — and we’re glad we did. The interior is exactly what you’d expect from a classic American diner: lots of cozy booths, shiny metal accents, and mirrors that give it a nostalgic feel. Everything looked clean and well cared for. We were seated in a corner booth with fold-down seats — something neither of us had seen before. It was a fun, quirky touch that added to the experience, though it may not be the best option for those with mobility issues or anyone who might find it tricky to get in and out of tighter spaces. As for the food, it was exactly what we hoped for: simple, satisfying diner fare. My wife had a cheese omelet, and I went with the Western. Both were well-prepared and hit the spot. The coffee was solid too — always a must at a diner. Bonus points for clean and well-maintained restrooms, which is always appreciated when you’re on the road. All in all, if you’re in Ithaca and craving a classic diner meal, the State Diner is definitely worth a stop. We’d happily return.

Denny's is a popular casual dining chain known for serving classic American comfort food, with a focus on all-day breakfast options. Customers have praised the attentive and accommodating service at various locations, highlighting specific staff members who went above and beyond to ensure a positive dining experience. While some have noted inconsistencies in food quality, others have enjoyed filling and satisfying menu items such as lasagna. Overall, Denny's is recognized for its clean environment, friendly staff, and reasonable prices.
Excellent food at this Denny’s location. I got the Cinnamon Roll Pancake Slam which was perfect - the pancakes had a sweet and delicious taste and the eggs, hashbrown and bacon/sausage was cooked well. The skillets were just as good - savoury and had a good blend of flavours. Even the lasagna was one of the best that I’ve had. The service was a little slow but the food is worth it.

Denny’s has delicious food but I usually hesitate due to bad service. This location had excellent service. The server was attentive, responsive, speedy and refilled drinks before they finished. They have turkey to sub pork which is a plus. The only con was the coffee…. Unfortunately tasted burnt

My experience at Denny’s this past week has been probably one of the most enjoying engaging experience. I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time. I haven’t been in the Denny’s restaurant in over 20 years. It’s because of Tiffany my waitress I’ve had the same waitress the past three days I’ve come to eat.. She smiles she’s engaging. She’s funny she’s knowledgeable. She’s efficient and she has a beautiful spirit. She keeps me coming back. Customer service is all about food will speak for itself. Quality really hasn’t dropped. It could be tweaked in a few places, but that’s expected pleased, but it’s really Tiffany who makes the experience for me with the rest of the team, but she used the crown jewel. Thank you for allowing me to dine in here. Sincerely, Christopher Foster.

Our server, Theresa W., was an extremely friendly and attentive individual who provided excellent service throughout our dining experience. She consistently checked on us to ensure that all our needs were met. I believe that Theresa's exceptional service is worthy of recognition by the management. Regarding the food, it was satisfactory overall. There was a slight mix-up with our order during our first visit, but we decided to proceed with the meal as it was. On our second visit, our orders were fulfilled accurately. In summary, I would gladly revisit the establishment if I am in the area again, primarily due to the exceptional hospitality provided by Theresa.

I recently visited Denny’s in East Syracuse and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. My server was attentive, making sure my coffee was always topped up and that everything was to my liking. The menu had plenty of classic diner options, and my meal was served hot and fresh. The eggs were cooked the way I liked it🍳 , and the bacon 🥓 was perfectly crispy . The atmosphere was comfortable, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the area!

Our food came out fairly fast and everything tasted delicious. I will be back.

Went in on Sunday morning at 1100am and was promptly seated. Menu isn't extensive more diner-centric than eclectic. Decisions were made, the farmers omelet and chicken and waffles were decided on. The chicken and waffles was a nice sized slab of country fried steak sandwiched betwixt 2 perfectly crispy and yet fluffy waffles. I opted to not get the sausage gravy in order to partake of syrup. The farmers omelet had ham, sausage, onions, peppers, tomatoes and cheese. Home fries had a delicious sear to them and were hot. Coffee was fantastic and our server was attentive without being intrusive. We will go back for more! Great place in downtown Fairport.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a cozy American restaurant chain that offers delicious comfort food and features an attached general store. The attentive and friendly staff provide top-notch service, making diners feel right at home. Guests also appreciate the unique items available in the on-site store, which adds to the overall experience.
I recently visited Cracker Barrel and had a fantastic experience. They offer a variety of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all prepared with that classic home-cooked touch. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by a charming little store, adding to the cozy atmosphere. For breakfast, we tried pancakes, eggs, and chicken sausage. The pancakes were perfectly smooth and fluffy, and I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken sausage—definitely the best I’ve ever had! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and our server was especially patient, guiding us through the menu and recommending great add-ons. What stood out was their unlimited drink refills—not just for coffee, but also lemonade and mimosas, which is a nice touch. Cracker Barrel: where nostalgia meets corporate America in a delightful collision of plaid and knickknacks! Every time I walk in, I’m hit with a wave of “old-timey” vibes, or maybe it’s just the smell of fried food mingling with the scent of a million identical wall hangings. Seriously, it’s like dining inside a theme park designed by someone who’s only ever seen “vintage” in a catalog! I've around a dozen Cracker Barrel’s in different states, and I still can’t decide if I’m there for the food or the whimsical decor that screams, “We promise this is what your grandma’s house looked like!” But let’s be honest, I’ve never strayed from breakfast. And in the great breakfast showdown, Cracker Barrel takes the crown over hotel food and Denny’s any day. Plus, their service is always top-notch, and who can resist that warm syrup? It’s like a hug from a pancake! So, while I can't quite figure out why I keep coming back, I guess I’m just a sucker for eating breakfast in a corporate time capsule!

We were in town for a couple of nights and had brunch 2 days in a row. Yesterday's was fine. Could have been better, could have been worse. When we went back this morning we knew exactly what we enjoyed and started ordering a la carte (4 scrambled eggs, side of ham, side of hashbrowns...) Our Sweet server, Morgan wrote down everything that we wanted but, what she came back with was perfect. She definitely saw our vision. And she had magically made it into a meal! Everything about this brunch was perfect! And we ended up with leftovers. We aren't sure what the stars mean on the server's aprons or why Morgan only has 3. She was definitely 5 star in our eyes!

I went with my family to Cracker Barrel Old Country Store this past Saturday for breakfast, and honestly, it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. The food was terrible—cheap quality, bland, and nowhere near what Cracker Barrel used to be known for. To make things worse, they’ve changed the menu, and it’s now confusing and misleading with the pricing. For a simple breakfast for three people, without ordering anything special, the bill came to $71. Absolutely outrageous for the level of food and service we received. Nothing tasted fresh, and the value is completely gone. Cracker Barrel used to be a reliable spot for a hearty, reasonably priced breakfast, but those days are clearly over. We left feeling disappointed and ripped off. Sadly, we won’t be coming back.

Peppermints is a cozy, traditional restaurant that offers a wide range of breakfast, sandwich, Greek, and American dishes. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming with attentive service. Customers have enjoyed the taco salad, gyro, omelettes, wraps, and oatmeal with bananas. The coffee is particularly delicious and comes with a selection of flavored creams on each table. While some found the prices slightly high, many appreciated the generous portion sizes and tasty food.
This is a top-tier diner in Henrietta. The aesthetic is old and charming, service and staff was friendly and quick. I typically order corned beef and hash if a diner says it’s homemade. They didn’t disappoint, their corned beef and hash was great. Definitely needed more potatoes though, but I ordered a side and combined them. This place really hit the spot, and I’m mad I didn’t find this place sooner because Henrietta lacks good diners. Will definitely go back.

Such a nice place! We went on a Tuesday for lunch with our daughter, and it wasn’t very crowded. The waitress was very kind and attentive, taking great care of the customers. This is a very nicely kept restaurant. The decorations fit the restaurant. When you walk in you need to wait to be seated but looking around everyone has their own job and the restaurant is run smoothly. When we were sat down at our table the waitress came right over to greet us. She was very nice and welcoming. She took our drink order which came out right away and then took our food order. The food came out in about 10 minutes hot and fresh! Very delicious! She filled our coffee and checked on us twice. The experience did not feel rushed even though it was a busy Saturday morning and there was constantly a line at the door. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant if you haven't before!

It has been several years since we have been to Peppermints for breakfast. We were seated right away and the restaurant was about 25% full. The server waited on us shortly after being seated. We ordered corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and also 2 eggs over easy with sausage and toast. The corned beef hash was not crispy neither were the home fries. Both seemed to just heated up. The over easy eggs were done correctly, but when our orders were brought out we both only had 1 jelly for 2 slices of toast. You can't put jelly on the table? Also you also dictated what flavors I can have. The server only came around one time with coffee and the was shortly after our order was brought to the table. I guess it will be awhile again before we come back here.

Just repeating and confirming the rave reviews. It's small, but we got a table quickly. Cash only. Excellent service by the busy but charming staff. Great menu of breakfast and lunch items, including specials on the whiteboard. I had eggs with kielbasa and home fries, with a side of corned beef hash. It was perfect. Big portions, tasty, no frills but lots of love. Decent prices too. I understand why this place is legendary.

First - cash only, bank with inside ATM practically across street. Second but should be first- Delicious!!!! It is a must visit! My Biscuits and sausage gravy and home fries with onion = Delicious. If you’re a sandwich person, the MacMother is the best sausage egg cheese on bun I’ve ever tasted. Prices are reasonable, total was $20.75 not including tip. I was greeted upon entry and politely helped. Seating is very very limited inside. We ate outside because we had the dog but there are trees at edge of parking lot for some shade. I felt safe here and will definitely come back next time in town. Spouse has been coming here for 20 years and it’s always been good and delicious.

Absolutely amazing! This best breakfast spot I’ve been to! Great service and what seems like a staple of the community! Classic diner vibe with portions the size of your head!

This lil hole in the wall diner served me the best breakfast I’ve ever had. I saw a whole frittata and asked which size it was. I thought half that size would be good. Boy was I wrong! Half a frittata was still 3 pounds! I should’ve ordered a 1/4. And wow is it affordable! 3 pound frittata was $15! It was soooo good! I’ll be planning trips to NY just to come back here. It’s one man cooking everything behind the counter and he’s a master! We watched him in amazement as we waited for our food. The place is very tiny and a little cramped but they make it work. It adds to the charm. The staff didn’t miss a beat. It was like they were dancing as they ducked under eachother and twirled around people to avoid knocking them down. These people are experts at their trade. Tip well and bring cash!

If you want a greasy diner with amazing food & service…..this is it. The BEST breakfast I ever had! I had the Western Omlette. It was like the peppers were roasted! Delicious! Staff so friendly & bustling. I cannot wait to come back to Syracuse so I can eat here again!

This place is magnificent. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here on August 22; great coffee, home fries, omelettes. Friendly service and extremely skilled cooks. My friend and I cannot think of anything negative to say; as soon as we're near Syracuse again we will be back for more.

Nestled in the heart of Rochester, The Original Steve's Diner is a beloved spot for breakfast and lunch that captures the essence of comfort food. Known for its homemade sausage and delightful pancakes, this diner offers a cozy atmosphere where locals and visitors alike can indulge in hearty meals. The Good Luck Burger stands out as a must-try dish, celebrated for its simple yet satisfying flavors.
I had breakfast here with my wife for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was amazing! The place itself was small and we had went in a Saturday morning and had to wait 15 - 20 mins but it wasn’t too bad. Once we got in we were sat down and the service was great. The pancakes are huge. They also have an expansive menu with both breakfast and lunch options. I would definitely come back here again. I know they have other locations and may try those as well.

Steve's is a hit or miss for me. The thing they are known for: pancakes, are always amazing. And our kids love going there for them. The rest of their breakfast (Only ever done breakfast here) is a mixed bag. More positive than negative. Let me start with the inside is cozy and nice. And the staff is amazingly friendly. They make sure you're taken care of and feel welcomed. I'm not big into sweet for breakfast, so I always go for eggs and typical fare. This last visit I tried the Full English Frittata. It was under seasoned, and nothing stood out. The previous time was corned beef hash. It was decent, but a bit dry. My wife had the pear & Gouda omelette. She said it was dry and lacking flavor as well. As I said, this was just one visit. Usually things are decent enough. We mainly go when the kids want a ridiculous sized pancake. Our daughter got the M&M pancake and lived it. Our son was thrilled with his peanut butter cup pancake as well. Overall, the breakfast is good. Much better than Billy's Homestead; but I highly dislike that place and have never enjoyed a meal at Billy's. I do like Steve's, it is good enough. Just sometimes it is less than stellar.

Very busy, food took awhile to come out but it was delicious and worth the wait. If you have never been to Steve’s the Love Cakes/Pancakes are huge, size of a large plate. The NY Cheesecake one is rolled up with fresh fruit, very good.

Great: -Canolli pancakes! And yes, they are delicious! -Good-sized menu with plenty of options, even for my gluten-free wife -Above average selections/options in condiments and extras like jellies, jams, coffee creamer, etc. Average: -The interior is average breakfast diner. Not bad at all, but nothing that stands out. -It can get quite crowded at times you would expect, like Sunday morning. But they do a good job of moving things along. Wait times were very tolerable. -Service. I thought of adding this to the great section, because anymore even average service seems great. Wait staff was friendly and orders came out quickly and correctly. As I mentioned, sometimes you had to wait a bit but you could tell staff was hustling along. No one was being lazy here. - Some of the prices seemed a little high but were actually good considering the portion sizes. The canolli pancakes are an example but they were enough for 2.5 meals, so maybe not pricey in the end. We will definitely come back whenever we are visiting our kid at RIT.

I've been coming here at least once a month for the past 2 years, it is one of my two favorite restaurants. Great service and great food. I always get the Greek Salad or the Country Breakfast. Portions are great. The gravy is homemade. You can't beat it. A+++

Check this place out for some outrageously large, ridiculous, and delicious pancakes! I got the Cannoli and could only eat about half. It was really pretty amazing.

This was our first visit to a diner since arriving in Rochester a few weeks ago. I definitely got to scratch an itch I was having for a diner visit. The food was really good--I loved that the green peppers in my Benedict were not cooked to mush and still had some crunch 👌🏽 the atmosphere was cozy, the restroom was clean, and the music was at an acceptable volume. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, especially Gabbie. She was so sweet and patient with my indecisiveness 😂 We'll be back to try some pancakes!

I have visited Steve's on numerous occasions over the years and the breakfast options have always been excellent. However, every time I've ordered a lunch or dinner item, there has been some issue with it. Most recently, I ordered a patty melt cooked medium-well, but what I received was closer to rare or medium-rare. Given this recurring issue, I am unlikely to order anything other than a breakfast item in the future, if I choose to return at all.

Donna's Restaurant is a charming old-fashioned breakfast diner that embodies the essence of a small town gem. Despite being short-staffed, Donna managed to provide efficient and friendly service to her packed restaurant. The food was excellent, and the coffee was particularly noteworthy. Visitors were impressed by Donna's warm hospitality and hands-on approach as she personally prepared much of the food. The atmosphere is laid-back and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing meal.
The food was very good. I ordered eggs with biscuits and gravy. I bumped it up to 5 stars for service, price, and nostalgic decor. The place is filled with vintage Corning and Pyrex ware. Food is served on Pyrex dishes. Coffee came in Corning ware mugs. Loved it! Service was quick and pleasant. Prices were great. Note: This place is cash only.

I wish I had had my phone to take pictures! Donna's was wonderful! Anytime you walk into a restaurant and the locals immediately include you in their general conversation, you know you've got a winner! Two very good breakfasts (eggs with amazing rye toast, and one of us had sausage patties, as well) and coffee with free refills, pleasantly and quickly served, for about $15...Total! They don't take cards, but there's an ATM at another restaurant, so no worries! Donna's is definitely worth it!

Not sure what happened when I went. I saw all the great reviews. I ordered eggs with bacon and home fries. Bacon was tissue paper thin (looked like the precooked microwave type). Home fries were white looking like they were afraid of the grill or seasonings. The color you see is hot sauce and pepper I added. My wife got the steak bagel sandwich, bagel was cold and if you look hard enough you can spot some pieces of the meat.

This was a really fun place to get breakfast! Loved all the old Pyrex. People were friendly, food was good, and the price was amazing!

Before going to the restaurant, we ensured we had money because we saw on the website that they only accepted cash. So please if you are going to have breakfast here make sure to bring cash or you can get cash at the ATM in the pizzeria next door to the restaurant. My family and I had a great experience. The ambience was very homey. I felt like I stepped into my grandma's house for breakfast. The waitress was very friendly and kind. The breakfast was at a very reasonable price and delicious. If you're in town I would recommend this place. It is welcoming and family-friendly.

Very good food at an affordable price. The omelette set and the coffee cinnamon cake were delicious and the service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and it’s a nice place to grab breakfast. Side note, there’s an awesome display of the owner’s Pyrex collection which was cool to look at! (Cash Only)

Very nice setting on the canal with their own parking lot. Quick seating for a group of 6. Good menu with options for breakfast combo or a la carte. Good prices. Very attentive service. My three cheese omelet and Texas Toast were yummy. The Placki ( potato pancakes were a hit). Pretty view of canal

This is a pretty cool place on the inside. They have a diner counter area that most places don’t have though no one was seated there when we were there. We took the family here for lunch. The girls got burger plates, my wife got the cheeseburger club and I got the fish fry. The plates were good. The burgers you can tell are hand pressed and the home fries were well cooked. Not crispy but not under done like some places do. The macaroni salad was very good and my daughter ate hers and took half of my eldest daughters. It wasn’t just all mayo and noodles and it appears to have a tough of mustard in it. My wife liked the cheeseburger club the hand made patties were a good size and not overly greasy. My wife commented that she likes clubs after eating this sandwich so that says something. The fish fry was average. Nothing special but still good. I had it battered and it was a light crisp. The fries were crinkle cut. I don’t like coleslaw and I was able to substitute cottage cheese for that which I do like. This place was fairly busy when we were here but there was some open tables. It did take a long time to get food but we weren’t in any hurry. The staff was very nice. It’s a nice place to go and enjoy a meal. Just remember cash only…

We got the Friday fish dinner, burger, and shake. The fish dinner was decent but was more expensive and smaller than other Rochester fish fry's. The milkshake had a nice malt flavor. Service was great. It is a nice unfancy place to eat, with a great canalside location. Heads up, its cash only.

Good food and quick service. But bring your cash or a check, as they don't take cards. We had a variety of items off the lunch menu and everyone in our party was satisfied. I'll be getting those delicious fried green beans again. Who knew fries green beans could create such a tasty snack.

Good restaurant for breakfast. The food was really good. The waitress helped out a lot. Also strange smell in the restaurant smelled really weird but it was probably something just that morning.

The cinnamon rolls! Amazing cold brew with complex flavor that can only come from a long brew cycle - they are doing it right! The cinnamon rolls! Breakfast sandwiches are excellent, diverse and fairly priced. THE CINNAMON ROLLS!

This was worth the hour drive. The only issue, there were to many great things to try them all. The French toast was amazing with many different flavors. The maple bacon was so flavorful. The build your own breakfast sandwich was delicious and gave you many different options. Also, the cinnamon roll is a must. So delicious! They also have lots of fresh breads and samples. Many coffee options!

Stopped in for lunch with the family. I've been to the Victor location, but this is the first time I've been to the Pittsford location. Food is great, place is bustling, and has a very community forward feel. If you are really hungry, I suggest a sandwich and a side, as one sandwich might not fully satiate. But from all of the sandwiches I've had- they are all really good and tasty.

I’ve been to Village Bakery multiple times and always walk away impressed. The service is consistently great, and the space has that perfect clean-but-cozy, modern vibe. Whether you’re into sweet novelty drinks or more classic espresso options, they’ve got something for everyone—including third-wave snobs like me 😉. The oat milk latte is my go-to—easily one of my favorite coffee spots in Rochester.

The last time I was there on a Wednesday, which I always ride my bike from Scottsville to Pittsford bakery I was kind of disappointed when you had two people behind the counter wasn’t busy at all. One was messing with the coffee beans, and the other one was messing with the water. They both seen me. Nobody wanted to take care of me so I left came back the next day, but I didn’t go in the day after that day I did go in and I got served, but it was two different people. I always get the avocado toast and a large lemonade 😔

Get the Betsy. It’s so delicious! We really love it here. It’s our go-to spot for breakfast. Really good coffee and food! Kid friendly options and high chairs are available. There’s plenty of seating inside and out, and maybe 10 parking spots. I’ve never had an issue finding parking, but we go early so that might be why. There’s a lot of public parking next door behind the library if you can’t find anything.

Customers appreciate the delicious beverages, like the sweet iced coffee and Catwoman drink. While some find it pricey, others praise the wonderful menu selection and great service. Such a cute tucked away cafe! Really open, comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff! The desserts look AMAZING. A ton of options too, from sandwiches to desserts to snacks. Nice seated areas to relax at as well.

The photos made this place look like they had great options. This is more for sandwiches and soups. I wouldn’t run here specifically for their bakery items. We went out of our way to come to a bakery and this is just another poor example of a place called a bakery but focusing on too many other things to take their baking seriously. The cakes looked alright, I came for the linzer cookie. It was overcooked and overly sweet. Sure, I’m spoiled being from an area where you’d find Italian bakeries, Hungarian bakeries, Polish bakeries, Austrian and more. This is a sandwich shop with soups, pantry items, and as an aside they have some desserts and bread. Perhaps their bread is the bigger focus. Don’t bother with the sweets at all.

Ithaca Bakery (Triphammer Rd) is my go-to spot on this side of Ithaca. It’s really the only solid sit-down coffee shop around here. They’ve got a great selection of sandwiches, cakes, and even fun merchandise. My favorite order is the steak & eggs paired with a mochaccino. The internet is reliable, and there’s plenty of space to sit and work or relax. I also love that one side of the shop features rotating displays of photography and artwork — always inspiring as a photographer myself. Service is quick, friendly, and you can even order ahead for pickup if you’re in a rush. A gem for both food and atmosphere.

We stopped here to get some breakfast sandwiches. It was a cool place and they had lots of goodies to offer, but when it came to ordering a breakfast a young man just couldn't seem to get or understand what we were asking for. It was a very basic sandwich we were just asking for the croissant that are egg and sausage was on to be toasted buttered and then put hot sauce on our sandwich, well that didn't really happen, what happened was we got our sandwiches and yes there was butter on the croissant but we got no hot sauce or ketchup and when we went to the bag we realized that we had an extra croissant each one had ketchup and one had hot sauce on it and toasted. It was bizarre but I will say it was a good sandwich I think he just didn't understand

I come here often because there is a lot that I can do here. I can always find a space to eat brunch with a friend. I can always get a table to do some work. The atmosphere is always pleasant, and the staff are always nice.

Excellent selection of food, great service, fantastic pastry, bagels are exceptional. Highly recommend! My only issue was with an espresso I ordered. It was watery, no crema, and not at all an espresso! I could have brewed a “coffee” of similar quality with my Keurig at home. It was NOT an espresso!
Dr. C — Google review
A typical sandwich and breakfast place with a bakery component built into it. Known for their bagels for many years as well as great hearty sandwiches with think sliced fresh breads and stuffed with plentiful amounts of ingredients and especially delightful was the turkey sandwich. So here is the issue thigh I rate this a 4 star and not a five is based on the value proposition. Where once they provided good quality food, good portions and pricing that was not only very competitive, but also made you feel that the owners do not have their hands in your pocket/wallet. Turn to present day, this combination is no longer except for good quality product and decent - not good, decent portions that really don’t wow you and are therefor no longer creating a real point of differentiation except for the fact of bakery freshness. And this is where they likely justify beyond reasonable pricing. Companies need to make money and pay staff well. Price by and costs have increased - but this is beyond. Example. Super small homemade cookie $1.25, turkey sandwichs over $10 plus tax - yes creative and maybe appearing gourmet - but not justifying the price at all. So, the value is if you don’t care about the price and/or portion and seek a local hangout to eat and be merry with good quality product and a clean but average environment - go to this place and you’ll be happy. There are some products in the pastry area that are decently priced but on the whole most are beyond overpriced and being intimately familiar with the foodservice industry for more that three decades am quite familiar with what I am seeing. No knock to ownership it’s their prerogative to charge what they want and yield the margins they do according to their business plan such as higher profit, more money or the same with less customer as an example - power to them and who am I to tell these people who appear to be running a successful business for some time, what to do - right?? Of course. For me it’s about informing you the customer of what you need to know before you decide to spend your cash so you know what you’re going to receive and if this works then all is good. Enjoy and again, happy eating.

This diner is absolutely fantastic! Every time I passed by, there was always a crowd waiting outside, so I knew it had to be good. I finally got the chance to visit with my family last week, and it did not disappoint. We went on a Sunday afternoon and only waited about 20 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all. I've been wanting to stop in here and try the food. A little out of my way to work but when I got out of bed I was craving some breakfast food. Having been told recently how good this place was I had to stop by and try it for myself. After looking at the menu I decided to try the homemade hash with an order of eggs and side of Bacon. The portion size was unreal the hash was amazing. I ate what I could of it and was forced to box up the rest. With large parking there's plenty of room to pack people in. Walking inside the decor is clean and fresh with plenty of seats to accommodate a large number of guests. The price was fair considering you get what you pay for. Large portions. Good food. Good service. I'm looking forward to coming back and exploring more of the menu.

WOW. What a gem of a place. The menus on the TV screen don't tell half the story. We came per recommendation of a friend and I ordered a stuffed French toast (savory with sausage and cheese). Friend ordered frittata with sausage and my dad ordered some Mano Loco egg dish with hash browns. The coffee refills were free and much needed. We left so stuffed. We all agreed the service was top notch. The staff was very attentive and actively looking to see if anyone needed more coffee or water. We arrived at 9am and were seated in the overflow room which was empty. By 10am the entire place was full, so go early! FIVE STARS 🤩

The food was even really good and was delivered to our table even faster. We both ordered 2 eggs over easy with toast and bacon. It was perfect. The server was very attentive and polite. I used their bathroom and the bathrooms were absolutely spotless. You don't find bathrooms very clean anymore. Nowadays, nobody wants to clean them. I rate this restaurant 5 star. This place has the best breakfast!!! The service is great and the food comes out fast, hot and with generous portions. I don't live in Upstate NY anymore but everytime I come home I make sure to go to Park Place as much as I can. The biscuits and gravy are my absolute fave!!!

Food and service were decent. Atmosphere was the problem: I had to sit there and listen to a group at an adjacent table talk about how liberals were ruining the country, how they're a terrorist group, etc. It made enjoying my breakfast impossible.

Step into a whimsical culinary wonderland at The Mad Hatter Restaurant & Bakery in Rochester. This charming spot offers delightful British high tea, scrumptious breakfast, and brunch dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Inspired by the infamous Alice in Wonderland character, this cozy cafe serves up award-winning meals alongside top-notch service.
Really cute brunch spot that goes hard on the Alice in Wonderland theme. Tea comes with a fun little presentation, and the food was good. Just know I’ve waited 40+ minutes even on random weekdays, and it’s a bit pricey.

Brunch stuff was good. I liked all the flights of food you can get. We got the Soup Flight and the Pancake Flight and the Eggs Benedict Flight, so we could try all the food. The vibe is very welcoming atmosphere for all peoples. The booths were not comfortable, But overall the place was very good.

Great breakfast. Many options for sweet treats. Good options available for vegetarian diet, and their tea is good. I recommend this place for a special breakfast occasion here in Rochester. Definitely not your typical diner food! It’s great quality and servers seem happy to be there.

Three of us went. We had the Pesto Chicken sandwich, the tuna melt, and the Eggs Benedict. Pesto Chicken had too much pesto, and the chicken was dry. The tuna melt was loved. The Eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked, and the potatoes were okay (could have been crispier), but cooked well. Mimosa flights were good as well. Service is spectacular and everyone was very friendly.

Falls Restaurant & Catering, a beloved establishment in Trumansburg since 1988, is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner, this family-owned restaurant has got you covered. The menu features classic diner fare as well as creative additions and a rotating selection of specials. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a welcoming place to enjoy a meal any time of day.
We stopped in at Falls Restaurant after spending the morning exploring the trails at Taughannock Falls. What a wonderful surprise. You’ll be hard pressed to find an establishment like this out in the wild these days, but the Falls has been around since 1988. A great little spot with ample seating, great staff, and a menu of homemade breakfast and lunch items. We got the tuna melt, Falls harvest salad, and homemade creamy cauliflower soup and it was all absolutely delicious. Excellent service, both the bartender and our server were so sweet. Stop in for a delicious home cooked meal and you won’t regret it.

Do not get the fish 😒 was just looking for a quick bite while in the area hiking. Saw tons of people in the morning there so decided to stop in for late lunch. Not what we expected on the inside. Bar area was the only spot open to eat, the regular dining area was closed off. The bar area has a dark dirty atmosphere, very different from the rest of the restaurant. The fish and chips was disgusting, burnt geasy hockey pucks with very little fish and a ton of greasy breaded coating. Cousin loved the macaroni salad tho. Ladies were nice, just not attentive to customers. I wouldn't be back

Falls Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere. The menu offers a fantastic variety, and every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Service was prompt and attentive without ever feeling rushed, which made the whole experience even better. The attention to detail, from presentation to taste, truly sets this place apart. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual meal or a special occasion, Falls Restaurant delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Nice diner type restaurant. Homemade bread looked very good on the sandwiches. My mother-in-law ordered the carrot cake which she liked. I did not see nor were we offered kids menus. The waitress did bring a coloring book and crayons for the kids to color in which was nice but not everyone would appreciate that it was already colored on most pages. But the restaurant was cozy and clean, wait staff was friendly and food was good enough.

Bob Evans is a casual chain that originated on an Ohio farm, offering hearty family-style meals with a country vibe. Visitors have praised the attentive and professional staff, as well as the delicious breakfast options. While some experienced minor issues with specific dishes, overall, the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. The menu offers a wide variety of offerings to indulge in. Despite being busy, both front and back staff worked seamlessly together to provide pleasant dining experiences for customers.
I rarely ever give a 5 star review, and this specific Bob Evens gets it! This is the first time I went to a Bob Evens restaurant, and it was amazing. The food was flavorful, and the portions were perfect. The waitress Pamela was amazing. I would not go back to this location, unfortunately, because it is too far away. But I would like to try another location to see if I get the same results!

We had a very good experience here. It was a Sunday morning, and it was packed. We got in and out in less than an hour. All the waitresses were nice and friendly and helped us with any questions we had. Food came quickly as well. The only issue I had was i couldn't tell if my pancakes were done all the way as they felt cakey in the middle, but I imagine the blueberrys had something to do with it. The homefries had no seasoning as well. The bananas were super fresh. Overall, we would come again.

Smelled funny in there, service wasn’t the worst; but it’s a Tuesday lunch at 10 in the morning and it’s dead, didnt pre bud as much as they could’ve. To top it off we found a spider in our butter!!! Told service they went omg and took it, showed the other servers they yelled oh no, was gone for a little so we were thinking they were showing a manager and getting a discount for the inconvenience. Nope, came back, no apologies no manager just our bill, We paid in full, left 15% tip and was extremely disappointed . Food was mediocre, paid a lot for nothing, 3 upcharge for onion rings to only get 6? Do better.

I’ve been to a few Bob Evans. This one isn’t as nice. I had a burger for the first time. It wasn’t particularly good. Neither was the cheesecake for dessert. Just like with many restaurants these days, quality and portions are going down.

Ordered dinner for my coworkers and myself. The farmhouse chicken sandwich was suppose to have no onions or pickles. They did not have onions or pickles on it, but they also did not put the tomato, provolone cheese or bacon on it. They did put a piece of blackish lettuce on it though. I was not impressed by it. I also ordered coleslaw with the chicken sandwich. I had pieces of shredded cheese and 3 pieces of corn in it. Glad I'm not allergic to those items. Ordered a kids meal that was suppose to have fries.- No fries. Rest of order (3 meals) were correct. I'll stick with dine-in breakfast from now on.

Really good diner. My Hash Attack was awesome. The pineapple pancake was delicious too. The gravy was really good and the biscuits were fresh. I’m so glad that we made it here. A kitschy little diner with solid food and service. My boyfriend and I stopped there for breakfast and the service was quick and the food was great. The staff were super quick with coffee refills and were refreshingly not overly friendly or peppy. I had a Western omelette and he had a cheesesteak breakfast sandwich. Both were appropriate size and cooked well.

Amazing. In town, looking for breakfast. This popped up, took a chance..what can I say it was amazing. Busy, and as a Englishman in New York surprised as to how busy. Got a seat at the counter ( bucket list ) and was served by friendly and attentive staff. The accent caused a bit of a stir and spent most of the time chatting to an ex Veteran. Oh and the food was amazing.

When my dad was younger, his dad owned part of this diner, so I always heard stories about them eating there. We were seating fairly quickly upon arriving and given adequate time to order. It felt like a true classic diner, with families all around and workers who had formed relationships with the usual customers. The place was very busy, so it did take a while for us to order, but our waitress did come by to apologize for the wait and let us know it would be out soon. We both ordered 2 eggs, rye toast, and home fries. My boyfriend got bacon as well on the side. I ordered my eggs overeasy, testing if they would come as true overeasy eggs or slightly uncooked, because I have unfortunately had that experience at other diners. My eggs came out PERFECTLY, I was so excited. Everything tasted perfect and it was a great breakfast to have before our drive home. I understand why my family spent so much time here and im proud to have a connection to it.

Was a cute place. Nothing really made it stand out from other "diners." Was nice and clean - that was good. Two dishes ordered were simple eggs, meat, pancakes with water. They were good. My husband wasn't thrilled about his. Said the chicken fried steak was the smallest he'd seen, and definitely a frozen item. He wasn't happy about a $4.50 soda either (I do not know if it was provided on the menu and he missed it, or what). Overall was a nice one-time "mom n pop" experience. I ate it quick enough, I forgot to take a picture.

We were really pleased with our breakfast at this diner. The service was amazing. The diner was busy even for a slightly off time (10:30 on Sunday morning) but there was plenty of parking and seating. We had a small wait for the food, but it was well worth it. We each got a variety of different things to try out (pancakes, French toast, omelet, bacon, hash browns, French fries) and everything was delicious. We felt the price point was really good for what we got and we loved the atmosphere as well.

Today was our first visit since the new owners took over. They're doing a fantastic job of keeping the same feel of the place while making some positive changes! The family was very welcoming and made us feel like we were at home. The new cook is a very kind young man who took the time to make sure we were all happy with our meals. Found out this exciting news breakfast place in Rochester. Very affordable and remix of modern and old looking Resturant. The hostess is very sweet and explain each dishes nicely. I tried French toast, home fries, and frittata. The taste is good. Resturant accepts cash. They do accept bank cards (credit and debit) with a minimal charge depending on your bill.

From the outside you might wonder if it's worth going in. I found the curb appeal lacking but when you enter you are greeted with a comfortable and homey sight. Menus are located on the wall at each seat. The service was fast and friendly. Coffee was sub par but I was blown away with the food and was able to try several things. Nutella stuffed French toast, eggs Benedict (of which they have 100 different varieties that rotate weekly), eggs and home fries, and one of their signature sandwiches called a MoFo. This is a sandwich in which the bun is actually two grilled cheese sandwiches on Texas toast. Incredible food. I highly recommend looking past the unfriendly outside and entering for a delicious meal.

Very popular diner with an extensive menu and is very affordable. The diner had a nice charm to it and service was overall okay. Our waitress seemed overworked and seemed easily annoyed when we asked for a soda refill. The Charbroil Special is a very good value for what you get. The food is average and they use real eggs. When you get the bill, you bring it to the front to pay.

Amazing restaurant! The service and staff were awesome, and the prices were good. The main focus would be the amount of food and drink options that are given. The drinks surprised me. We got breakfast here on our way out of town, my partner’s choice (though I was happy enough to oblige). Seated quickly, food was prompt, and server was wonderful throughout our meal: friendly, kind, helpful, professional. The whole meal looked and tasted just as expected, which is to say, basically the ideal traditional American breakfast (thanks in part to mass production factories). I typically prefer smaller, independently owned businesses with more locally sourced ingredients, high ethical & environmental standards for sourcing, processing, etc. (I know, I know… I can already see the eye rolls I’m getting...) But I grew up on chains like Perkins and still appreciate, and enjoy, standout individual locations and the employees that hold them up as such. This one felt like one of those to me. Apparently we came on their weekly free-slice-of-pie day: when my partner ordered a slice, our server let us know about the deal and asked if I’d like a slice, too. We took slices both to go but can now happily report the pie and pumpkin cheesecake slices were delightful! Highlights: Wonderful service. Prices are phenomenal. Bottomless coffee in a slim, tall carafe for 2.99 or 3.99. Free pie!

I enjoy eating at the Perkins in Cortland NY. the food is consistently good, and the atmosphere id friendly. I especially like to go on Tuesdays when Wendy is the server. She is outstanding. Today, May 6, 2025 - Wendy was the only server. when I arrived around 11 am. There was private party in the back oom ( I think that I heard there were 26 people) & the main dining area kept filing up. How Wendy managed to take care of all of us, bring our food to the table while it was hot - is beyond me. I sincerely hope the management at the Cortland Perkins rewards Wendy & appreciates the excellent staff member that she is.

Being elderly we selected from the menu the 1/2 sandwich, bowl of soup along with dessert which was a piece of pie. The food was a pretty good serving size and the pie slices were delicious ! It's a much nicer place to eat than an ordinary fast food place being its right off of Highway 81 in Cortland, New York. I thought it smelt a little musty when we first walked into the back room, so they should address this as to maybe newer carpet or a brighter paint job. Overall good fast service, friendly waitresses and clean.

My steak was still moo-ing on the plate. Then the waitress asked me if I wanted my steak recooked along with my other sides and I said yes. Then I got my steak back with only the steak. At least it was cooked this time. Waitress was nice but I was tight about my food. When a guy is hungover I just need some grub on the fly. Not to mention a bunch of old people were talking trash about us at our table.

Over the years I have eaten there with friends and family several times. Almost everytime except once it was good and in my opinion no matter where you go there's bound to be an off day, but overall this establishmentis is consistently good. The food and prices are good. I like to go there often to buy their whole pies, cakes and other baked good when we're having a big family dinner at home. I definitely recommend. However... in my opinion they need to address the parking lot because it's in need of some paving which seems to be common in this town, but as far as the food and the establishment goes I say try it out.

With a friendly staff and beautiful indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the lake, it's a great spot for breakfast or grabbing some sandwiches. Additionally, it features a taphouse with a wide selection of beers and scenic views of Keuka Lake.
If you're ever near Lake Keuka, you absolutely must stop by Olney Deli & Taproom. I had the best cinnamon bun of my life there. The moment you walk in, the inviting aroma of fresh cinnamon and sugar hits you, setting the stage for what's to come. Trust me, the photos don’t do it justice—get there before 8 AM, or they might sell out! The cinnamon bun itself is a masterpiece—fluffy, perfectly spiced, and just the right amount of gooey. The layers are tender, with a delightful balance of cinnamon and buttery sweetness, all topped off with a generous drizzle of creamy icing that melts in your mouth. It's the kind of treat that makes you want to savor every bite, yet it's so good that you might find yourself devouring it in seconds. Olney isn't just about amazing cinnamon buns. It's also a great general store with a taproom that I hope to try soon. Their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is another must-try—hearty, satisfying, and cooked to perfection. Buyer beware!!!!! We got 4 sandwiches & a side. The sandwiches were nothing special... sliced bread & cold cuts... a small ice cream scoop of potato salad. Our bill was almost $80!!! WAY OVER PRICED!! We will never return!!!

The Olney Place is my favorite place to go in the Finger Lakes! Everyone who works there is so kind, helpful, and accommodating. Seth, the owner, is the best and he even remade my sandwich during a super busy day when I realized it had an ingredient I’m allergic to. I cannot recommend this place enough, everything on the menu is amazing and Keuka wouldn’t be the same without it!

This is a lovely spot with a beautiful view of the water. The store is well-lit and has a nice selection of products, and the sandwiches and potato salad were delicious. My main issue is the cost. It felt like I was paying San Francisco prices—around $40 for two sandwiches. The lack of prices on the menu is a big drawback, as it makes it hard to know what you're getting into.

Beware! No prices on board. After we checked out and it was $75 for 4 sandwiches with no sides. Got 2 Rachael's and 2 BLTs, a scoop of potato salad. Sandwiches are nothing special, not much turkey or toppings. No drinks.....almost $80. Insane!!!!

Such a convenient yet delicious spot on the lake for good sandwiches, a beer or even that grocery item you forgot in town. They also have live music inside on some days and a cute tent where you can eat and relax with small beautiful gardens. Perks: 1. You can get gas on the lake 2. They bring your food down to your boat if you call it in 3. If you live on east lake it saves you the drive into town for something you may have forgotten 4. Cute/Cool apparel I've seen some comments saying it's pricey. Well of course it is. Everything on the lake is pricey, but at least this is a great concept with good quick bites and fun place to hang out! It costs a million dollars to be on this lake these days, and their season is super short. Support local concepts or we don't have anything like that. Want a white bread sandwich and save a buck? Make it at home. We love the Onley place - and it's worth the extra couple dollars you spend to have this here! Not to mention, Seth the owner is always there working his tail off. Making food. Bringing people their items. Much respect.

The Olney Place is the best place ever hands down! Seth is a wonderful owner, he takes care of his customer and makes the best sandwiches in the world! 10/10 beer selection. I couldn’t recommend the Olney Place more!
Austin B — Google review
Great food and cool place but the owner has created a very bad culture for their employees and they treat all customers as being annoyed that they are ordering. And the worst part is the prices. They dont openly list their prices on the wall. For example, the breakfast sandwich is described as being egg, hard roll and your choice of protein, yet when I added a protein they charged me an extra $2.

The Market Diner is a charming family-owned vintage diner located in the Regional Market area. The diner features a nostalgic '50s-era mural and offers American comfort food for breakfast and lunch, with both meals available all day. Despite its vintage charm, the diner's menu is affordable, ranging from $1.99 eggs to $12.99 seafood dinners.
Great if you’re missing a good old Jersey diner. It’s got the basics and that’s all you really need sometimes. Portions were generous, service was super sweet only negative is I got full too quickly. Prices are on point for a diner, $20 for a milkshake, fries and pancakes is good in my books.

The people and atmosphere was incredible. Portion size was insane for the price so be ready to eat. I have a pretty basic breakfast but they managed to make it memorable. I will definitely eat here again.

The Italiano breakfast sandwich was the best thing we had. Everything else was good and what I would call normal diner fare, but the Italiano was unique. My home fries were only barely warm though, but my husband’s were hot 🤷‍♀️. I ordered mine with the onions and peppers which were cooked (a little) and then thrown on top in a pile; I would not order it that way next time. All the kids enjoyed their pancakes and French toast. The staff was wonderfully cheerful and patient with kids and attentive. The place overall appeared clean, except the condiments on the table; both the syrup container and the ketchup bottle were sticky and I didn’t like touching them.

They have a breakfast special in the morning two eggs home fries toast another breakfast special three eggs toast and coffee...A good variety of breakfast items as well as lunch items on the menu service is always good a friendly waitress for the sense of humor.... I ordered extra crispy home fries that came back extra crispy eggs over easy They were not overdone or burnt around the edges Italian toast very good and my coffee cup never ran dry.... Close to destiny Mall if you're looking for breakfast or lunch and on Fridays they're open for dinner... Fish is good pot roast is good and meatloaf is good along with so many other items on the menu....

Has become a go to spot for breakfast lately. The build your own scramble was delicious, loaded with my choice of toppings. The restaurant was busy but my service was exceptional. From the gentleman with the bright colored pants making sure I never had an empty coffee. To my server Rachel being attentive, polite, humorous, and most of all welcoming. Had a server Michelle even walk me through the menu to make sure I would have everything prepared the exact to my liking. Both these young ladies made me feel like they have known me for years.

Good variety under menu for breakfast lunch and dinner Open Fridays for dinner... Very friendly wait staff... Eggs whole fries toast and coffee seven bucks with tax... I asked for extra crispy home fries that's the way I got them, eggs over easy but not overcooked...

This place was absolutely amazing everything about it said I love it here food was delicious the portions were amazing I was able to eat off of it twice so friendly awesome great vibes just a great place I highly recommend it and I'll definitely be returning again for more food thank you definitely hats off to the cook that evening

Mediocre. The portions were ample. The sausage gravy had a decent flavor and consistency, but should contain chunks of sausage, not crumbs or it. The biscuits were good though. When asked if we wanted plain home fries, or with onions and peppers, we thought we were being given the option of seasoned with onion and peppers (like many diners do). We didn't expect them to be smothered with sauteed onions and peppers. I also wasn't expecting to be charged an additional $2 plus, for each serving of onions & peppers. Also, we neither have felt good all day. We both got upset stomaches within 10 minutes of leaving the diner. Not saying it was their fault, but appears to be the source.

Mimi's Drive-In in Fulton, NY is a classic diner despite its name suggesting it's a drive-in. It's actually a "sit-down" restaurant located just north of town. The grilled muffin is an unusual item on the menu that comes highly recommended and lives up to the hype with its outstanding and delicious flavor. While some may find the extra cut of prime rib slightly thinner than expected, it still tastes amazing and exceeds typical diner expectations.
Great little diner find! The staff is super friendly and the service is impressively fast — no long wait times at all. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area

We were passing through on the day of the solar eclipse therefore they were closing at 2:00 p.m. our party of 11 stopped in around 1:25 p.m. and our waitress was wonderful. She did not try to rush us to get us out, even though we finished before a lot of the other people did . She was kind and patient with us and explained the different menu options as we are not from this area. The food was wonderful and if we are ever back again we will definitely stop in again. I love the big cinnamon swirl pancake and the sweet potato fries were really good too.

My husband loves scalloped potatoes and ham, which is what the special was this evening. He was very disappointed as the meal was lukewarm, a little on the dry side and only 2 pieces of ham. The portion was also small. Not what we’re used to at Mimi’s. A few months ago he ordered the chicken and biscuits (another of his favorites), and that was very disappointing. It was served in a plastic container.

I hadn’t been here in a very long time. Brought my dad here for lunch today. Food was decent, service was pretty bad. When our waitress came over she was miserable, and never came back once she brought us our food. There was a very nice woman who was not our waitress, who noticed I needed more water and brought me some. My dad never got more to drink, but still, that woman is probably the only reason I left 3 stars instead of 2. I left a tip out of feeling obligated and not wanting to embarrass my dad, but I would say the service didn’t call for one.

This is a diner-style restaurant and not a drive in. Friday night at 630 this placed is packed. Good diner food good service. Breakfast all day. The pork chops were good and strawberry shortcake. No complaints.

Classic diner. Wifey said it would be perfect for breakfast and she was 100% right.

I've been comming here for 40 years. I have loved the food and service and atmosphere. Tonight was not nothing near what the previous original owner put out. The breading fell off all the scallops The gravy was like licking a salt lick. The shrimp was not as fresh as usual and the fish was dark and over cooked.i have never had such a horrible meal here. Until the original stepped down and turned it over to family.hate to see such a landmark dinner fall. Was one of the best places left in fulton to eat. Very sadly disappointed. To see standars fall so much. Where did the love. And passion go?

Sunset Grill is a charming American eatery with a cozy, brick-lined interior and an inviting patio that offers scenic views of the lake. While it can't officially serve an Ithaca Garbage Plate, its Bomber Plate special captures the essence of this iconic dish. The restaurant also features a Compost Pinesburger special that showcases their creative take on classic comfort food.
This was an amazing place! The view alone was worth coming here. We all ordered different burgers and they were all devoured. Tater tots as an option as opposed to French fries was great, and an extra plus: the had garlic parmesean seasoned tots! (It was fresh garlic w oil, so as long as you don't mind a little extra grease, this is a must order!)

Not a bad spot at all. Fair pricing, quality diner food. Decent location and nice staff. Steak and eggs were good and worth it; you get what you pay for. Would recommend for a Saturday or Sunday brunch.

Sunset Grill is an exceptional spot in Ithaca that combines delicious food, stunning views, and a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. Located in a prime location with views of the surrounding landscape, this restaurant is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy a great meal, and watch the sunset—hence the name! The menu at Sunset Grill offers a fantastic variety of dishes, with something to satisfy every palate. Their seafood specials are always fresh and flavorful, with the grilled salmon often being a crowd favorite. It’s perfectly seasoned and served with a side of roasted vegetables that complement the dish beautifully. For those who prefer meat, the steak and fries is a must-try—tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The pulled pork sandwich is another hit, offering a perfect balance of smoky, sweet, and savory flavors. In addition to the fantastic food, the Sunset Grill offers a solid selection of craft beers, cocktails, and wines, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely drink as well. The house margarita is a standout—refreshing with just the right amount of zing. They also serve up creative seasonal cocktails that change throughout the year, making it fun to visit and try something new. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with both indoor and outdoor seating options, so you can take full advantage of the beautiful views. The staff is welcoming and attentive, always ensuring your experience is enjoyable. Whether you’re visiting for a casual dinner with friends or a special occasion, the vibe at Sunset Grill makes it a perfect spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy the moment. For anyone in Ithaca, Sunset Grill is the ideal place to enjoy fresh, flavorful food, amazing drinks, and breathtaking views. Whether you're there for a sunset dinner or a weekend brunch, it’s a place that never disappoints.

Fantastic breakfast and friendly service. We had the corned beef hash with over easy eggs and rye toast, the bomber omelette and coffee. The corned beef hash was juicy and flavorful. The omelette was wrapped in bacon which was something we'd never seen. My husband said it was great. He got a bagel with his meal and looked like it was cooked in the griddle. It was crispy on the edges and perfectly chewy. There was a nice view out the window also. Would absolutely recommend for a old school diner breakfast.

I love this place. Any chance I get I come here. My friends and I would come here after a long night out and the food here would revive us. Very convenient that breakfast is all day. Great food and the service is fast and consistent! Even on really busy days I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my food.

Visited the area and wanted to eat local. Food was good, but the service was slow. Only one server and it took forever to take our order and even longer to get our food. It was not busy at all. The parking lot is tight. If you have a large vehicle, you may have difficulty parking or getting out.

Really nice little place. Basic food, but good. They got the food out FAST. Very impressed.

Went up to Ithaca with family for the weekend and opted to dine local instead of going to another chain restaurant. This is a really cute spot overlooking Cayuga Lake with reasonably priced meals. Despite how busy it was, we were seated fairly quickly & Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend!
