You have to take stairs to get to the entrance (2F.) Not sure if they have an elevator. There is also an upstairs area accessible by a spiral staircase. Bathroom is a step up, so not barrier-free. There is a great selection of craft beers, and the price is similar (if not slightly lower) than other craft beer bars in Tokyo. They have a page of Japan beers and a page of (mainly) USA beers. The beers are available in Small (200 ml), Medium (360 ml), or Large (US PINT). The Large is about ¥1,300 for the Japanese ones and ¥1400 for the US ones. The food menu is mostly customizable pizzas, various bar starters, and a handful of mani dishes. It’s probably best to just get some pizzas and appetizers to share as a group. On a weeknight, the vibe was pretty casual and laidback, not rowdy. Service was okay. Friendliness depended on the worker. Overall seems like a good place to get your night started on the weekend.

A great beer place (did not try the food) where they have many domestic craft beers on draft, as well as imported from USA. Majority are IPAs but there are a few really good lager/pilsner and ales.

Looking for a pizza/craft beer place in Roppongi? Looks around no more as the pizzas here are wonderful 😊! It is not too easy to get in as this place is busy, but you won't regret your stay. Might be a bit expensive for a normal nomikai with heavy drinkers, but otherwise, you will end up with a normal price for high quality food and drink ^^

Old fashioned interior looks awesome and feels comfortable. Crews are kind as usual. I heard the owner of this taproom came from Seattle but I couldn't find any Taps of Seattle. :-) Overall line up of beer is pretty good means very balanced, and dishes are matched with beers as well. One thing I'm not comfortable is smoking is permitted.

I ordered one glass of grapefruit which took multiple reminders and 30min to reach the table. I ordered a pizza with no cheese - in addition to a bunch of others - and they brought out one with 2 types of cheese. I was told then that all their pizzas have cheese and we were forced to take it. Guess who's not coming back.

I didn't have any of the food, but it looked good on the table about 15 feet away. I gave 4 stars because I read a review that said you could smoke there, but it was non-smoking. My friend and I had cigars we wanted to smoke. The selection of beers and whiskeys is good. The atmosphere was also good, very standard for British and Irish pubs.

As you go downstairs, you can feel the atomosphere of British Pub. A bit expensive, not pretty honestly. Everything isn't affordable, compare to neighbors.

A Yokohama must visit pub and a long term habitat of people from a well known North East of England car manufacturer since the mid 80’s. John is always friendly and cracking mad jokes and at the time Anne and Arthur were also great hosts. Blink and you could miss it but always remember it is next to McDonalds. Loads of great nights here especially watching Sunderland get promoted back to the Premiership. Well done John and the food is great 👍👍

Been here a few times now and I love the food here. I really enjoyed the Roast Dinner, the Steak & Guinness Pie and the Rhubarb Crumble.

A real taste of home, the landlord is a lovely guy and the local staff are very friendly too, varied beer selection ranging from the uk to Japanese beers and a good English pub grub menu including a proper English Sunday roast dinner. Missing a good slice of home whilst exploring this amazing country… then I would highly recommended paying this place a visit!

First time visiting this bar in Roppongi. The inner décor reminds of a bar in the US with counter seats and booths at the front and tables in the back. The menu is mainly in English with Japanese descriptions. You can select from a wide range of craft beers that are available in S/L/Pint sizes. They also have a pretty good food menu with daily specials that are really great. I went to this place with friends on a Friday night and made a reservation through AutoReserve. The staff speak English really well. They have a great selection of craft beers and food. We got three pizzas, and they were super tasty! The craft beer was awesome too. The restaurant is pretty big, amazing atmosphere, and the bathrooms are clean, though you have to go upstairs for them. The prices are very reasonable. I’ll definitely visit again when I'm around there. If you love craft beer, you should totally check this place out! 🍻

American style brewpub here offering beer flights and some cocktail specials. The server we had was extremely cool and awesome to talk to as well. The beer was also pretty good.

Had a great night out here. The food was good, even if the servings were on the small side (but, hey - it is Japan!). The service was friendly and efficient — we got some good beer recommendations from the bar staff 😀 After a few beers, we met a couple of friendly Americans and had a good old chat. So, a “tick” for good atmosphere and friendly patrons. It is a Western style bar with western style food and craft beer. The disconcertingly named “Elvis Juice” was the pick of the tasting paddle. Although we enjoyed our beers in moderation, I did wonder how people who might of had “a few too many” get back alive from the bathroom, which is at the top of a long, narrow flight of stairs on the second floor 😂

I’m so sorry. The food was not great. :( poor attempt at American cuisine. The sharing plate. The onion rings were very bland. Batter not right. We couldn’t finish them as they were very icky. :(.

Staff were welcoming and friendly. English speaking staff work at this Brewdog. Postcards were available. Selection of beers on tap looked very good and food menu was exciting. I was upset to find out that they were out of stock on the pin badges and as a collector of them, I left empty handed.

The "After Dark" beer had a unique and great taste. Also, the bartender (her name might be Matsuri, can't remember exactly) was very nice and attentive to us, even though she was working so hard. These are the only reasons I'm rating it 3 stars, otherwise I'd go for 2. Other staff, especially the ones on the welcoming counter, were a bit rude, and we felt a few signs of racial discrimination in their behaviour. Moreover, they told us that we have 2 hours max to sit which was a bit awkward. Now the worst part. From the bar counter, we could see the kitchen on the left and there was a young chef guy mass preparing snacks in tens of small bowls. He was picking something from a bigger container with his hand, putting it in the bowl and then licking his same finger, then wiping it on his clothes and then continues the same cycle. Thankfully, we did not have any of the food he prepared. Also, the food (the chicken skewer thing) had small portion.

Unfortunately, the place is quite overhyped. The dish serving is quite small (even by Japanese standards). The motsunabe is ridiculously salty, while the potato salad with roast beef slices (starter) had really only 2 tiny slices of beef and one small ball of potato salad. The black chicken kaarage is quite overbattered. I mean, how can you go wrong with Japanese kaarage, well apparently you can. Have had better beer elsewhere. Not sure if it is a batch to batch problem, but my 496 beer wasn't comparable to a very fresh Sapporo draft. If you want to pop by, do have a reservation as it can take upwards 30mins to get a seat without one. I did note that

Kinda overhyped. Spend almost 20 mins queuing up. The staff took about 10 mins to find us a seat even though the two table right infront of us were empty. Beer was average, nothing to write home about. I tried the stout and 496. The food quality varies depending on your order. The stewed intestine were TOO SALTY. Some of the batter of the kaarage was undercooked. The sausages and cedar salad were the saving grace.

The craft beer was fresh and fantastic. It was my first time trying a beer served with only foam on top, and it was surprisingly good. The atmosphere was great, and the light dishes that go with the beer were also really tasty. I wish I had the chance to try all the different kinds of beer!

I’ve been coming here for for so long and love the location. Such a great space, and one of the few places inTokyo where the outside seating is off the main road, away from the traffic and the air is clean. There are so many things going for this place. The food is great, ( the beer is at best meh), but I keep coming back because of the location. But I’ve had it with this place, the staff are just dreadful. Is it because I’m a man, is it because I’m a gaijin? I don’t know, but having watched my friends have beer poured on him by staff who pretended not to notice(I watched you check!), then after talking in Japanese with staff all afternoon have a phone thrust in my face with the google translation telling me to my time is up (in a near empty bar). Do I really want to come back? I could go for better beer, food and atmosphere at the Smokehouse in Omotesando or just the best beer at Futako Brewery, but I’d rather you just sorted it out and treated your customers with respect. Omotenashi nashi! Complained to the manager, maybe the first time ever in my life, and he was great. what a hero, but sort it out! I walk away disappointed with an empty wallet every time.

Great beer and food for relatively competitive prices. Well worth the price and highly recommend if you're in the area. For the price of 4600 I had a pizza, a pint of their limited edition beer and their flight package. The staff were very attentive and nice, always checking everything was alright. A wonderful bar offering one of the best selections of Japanese, American and UK craft beers - probably the best range in Tokyo. The food looked good, but we didn't try it and the staff were super friendly too. A must do if you are in Tokyo on the hunt for craft beer.

I always wanted to come here and finally got the chance. The staff absolutely know everything to know about the beers they serve. They updated the menu as they added new beers on tap. Everyone is super friendly. It was not overly crowded even on a Saturday night. Absolutely impeccable. If you LOVE craft beer or even just casually enjoy it, you will have a great experience.

I’m not often in Shinjuku so when I had the opportunity to visit the Watering Hole on a Wednesday afternoon I couldn’t help myself, especially since I heard a number of home brewers talking about it the weekend before. The venue was comfortable, easy to find, and the beer was delicious. With that being said, damn, it was pricey. ¥1900 yen is a lot for a beer, though that seems to the way of beer in Tokyo.

A great British pub not far from Shibuya crossing. We saw a sign from the main street and ambled on up the stairs to find your traditional 'British Pub'. The interior looked like an old school pub, and to make things better, a Welsh flag hung abive the bar. The beer was great, they have a variety of ales, beers, and stouts, and the food was delightful. A steak and ale pie was incredible, and I'd certainly recommend it it if you are looking to eat at The Aldgate British Pub. Prices are good considering its location and the ambience was great. The staff were super helpful and made our time there truly incredible.

I went there with a large group of my coworkers for an end of summer celebration. The food and drinks were great! Wonderful selection of beers and solid cocktails. The only problem was one of the waitstaff was completely unprofessional. Anytime one of our group asked her about something she would have these little meltdowns. We all felt uncomfortable dealing with her. I will reconsider drinking there if I see she is on shift again in the future.

One of the best British pub in Tokyo. They serve quality beers at reasonable price and staff are always interesting. Have a sense of humour to some extent. International rugby/football fans come here for game broadcasts. Rich collection of 60's-80's records. I love this nice hidden place in Shibuya.

This place is probably better than your typical British Pub. It was incredibly welcoming and the staff were lovely to talk to, as well as being a good laugh! If you’re British this is your home away from home, if you’re a local or tourist, this is an authentic taste of British tradition hidden away in a busy part of town. It was very quiet when I visited, and this may have helped the experience flourish. But when I find myself back in Tokyo, I will be finding myself returning to this pub.

The main problem of this bar is staff. The female bartender is unprofessional and quite rude. When we just came and started checking the beer list, I asked if I can try a small sip of one specific beer which I was thinking to order but was not familiar with its taste and wanted to make sure. She immediately replied: "NO! We don't do that here!". Weird, but fine. I proceeded to order that one beer, "1100!" - was her immediate response. Wait a second, we needed the second beer for my husband, "2200!" - what we heard. Like we were about to run away with 2 beers without paying? 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ She didn't bother to ask if we wanted anything else. She didn't even say they had food. She was very strategically friendly and polite with some of the clients and totally ignored us. The bar itself is fine, but the vibes, the music and the beer selection is NOTHING about a British Pub.

This pub serves over 15 draft beers (incl. domestic and imported ones) every time and classic tasty British meals. In addition, they play music with vinyls from a plenty of collections and broadcast English premier league every weekends. Highly recommended.

Sensational. It was honestly such a delicately perfect experience, one you should absolutely go for if you’re willing to pay the price. Is it a slightly insane price for some tea yes. Would I pay to do it again. Yes. My word every sip of tea was so carefully constructed I’ll never experience tea like that again. It was such an amazing way to have tea. Felt like I was watching scientists at work.

The teas were unique, cannot imagine another context to try them all - both traditional and modern. The set-up beautiful & team very knowledgeable & friendly. We went for Menus so that we can try a lot of new teas that we would have otherwise not tried as we love our Matcha, Hojicha and Sencha. Also like this we experienced different ways to drink teas - cold, cockails, with grape juice! and we learnt you can eat the green tea. The Menu is seasonal which makes you want to come again in a different time of the year

Look, it’s a bit wanky and expensive but utterly delightful. I did the tasting menu and loved the whole experience. Recommend seeking the seat facing the work station as watching the fastidious and deliberate making of the drinks was a big part of the delight.

I tried the “Tea and Liqueur Course.” The full experience takes about an hour, with each tea served in a beautiful set of cups and utensils. The tea masters’ graceful and intentional gestures add a sense of ceremony to the tasting — a true delight for both the senses and the soul. Highly recommended as a serene and refined stop before shopping in the area!

Very nice experience. We did the gyokuro set and the tea was amazing plus watching the whole brewing process was very cool. I don't think paying for the cocktails would be worth it so I'm very happy that I just stayed with the tea set. During our time there were mostly foreigners until thankfully a Japanese couple came so it didn't feel a tourist trap!

Come here for a contemplative moment, out of the hustle and bustle of Omotesando, with curated specialty teas sourced from all over Japan. I loved the level of professionalism and their menus are all amazing.

I’ll give the place 2 stars because the tea quality was great, but I have to agree with most 1-star reviews that the place is overpriced. They don’t explain well how old the tea leaves are, how the brewing will be done, or provide the detailed specifics tea lovers might expect. The snacks, both in terms of quality and size, are honestly quite disappointing. I’m sorry, but they just don’t measure up. The reservations for the experiences are strictly 90 minutes, down to the minute, which I suppose makes sense. However, as you might expect from Japanese establishments, there’s very little flexibility. For instance, ordering a tea cocktail at the end or arriving five minutes early isn’t accommodated. Considering the place is full of foreigners (likely because there aren’t many other options for foreign visitors to book online?), I would expect the staff to be more flexible and have a better command of English.. To me, like many places these days in Japan, it felt like they’re trying too hard and losing the essence of genuine hospitality and attention to detail that used to set them apart.

Great place for craft beer. The owner is into selecting the best craft beers available, and it shows in his in-store stock. So many choices. The pub food is good too, worth the wings and chips with chili the clear standouts. Make some time and check this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

Difficult to find but if you know this place, you’ll back and get beer. Good choice of American IPA and craft beer. You can purchase bottles or can drink at the store. Snacks available.

If you're a fan of craft beer like I am, this is a must visit when you're in Yokohama. Good American micro brew is very hard to find in Japan, but they've got a vast selection. They had 8 draft choices when I went, plus at least 150ish other choices in cans/bottles in their coolers. You can purchase the packaged beer and drink in store, so it's a great way to get a bunch of stuff and enjoy yourself. I'd rate the food about a 4-4.5 out of 5. I got smoked wings, which were awesome. My wife had a burger that was very good but a little pricey. The waffle fries were delicious and fresh. I will absolutely visit again and this is the type of place that I've been looking for here in Japan. It's a bit pricey because it's all import micro brew beer, but it's worth it if that is what you are in to.

If you are an IPA lover, you must visit there A lot of cans and bottles of imported beer especially IPA can be seen at the American antenna. They also serve a lot of beer on tap. You must try. I'm very happy that they were reopened.

A decent niche balcony bar with a good selection of import beer. The food is your typical bar food. The view from the roof is mostly the parking lot next door. If you love American craft beer, this is probably the best spot in town. If you just want to visit a bar, there are many better options.

This is my favorite bar I have ever been to. If you're outgoing, it's a great place to socialize and practice Japanese with expats and locals. Make it clear to people that you want to practice, and you can learn a lot. Drinks are very affordable, staff is friendly, and atmosphere is incredible. Easily my favorite place in Japan.

Cheap standing bar with a gritty local vibe. Fun if you go in with the right mindset — it’s cramped and smoky, but that’s part of the charm. Drinks are cheap and quick.

Good standing bar where you have to socialize with people. Lots of foreigners. Good price for beer (500yen for 500ml or 1000 yen for 1 liter). No sink in mens toilet (some spray disinfectant hung outside the door though). And the mirrors in the toilets are covered in stickers, you can not see yourself in the mirror. Please fix that, otherwise what is the point of the mirror?

It’s better to come here on weekdays. Saturday is just bad: too crowded, too stinky, too loud. Drinks are good for the price.

Hands down the best cocktail experience I've ever had. Incredible cocktails (tried 5 total) with truly out of the box flavors, and incredible balance. We had Sae serving us and she was extremely knowledgeable and made us feel right at home. I couldn't recommend it enough. Well worth the reservation!

You hear stories about Japanese bartending expertise and then you come to a place like this and you understand it better. This place simply rules. Creative drinks in a beautiful space. Excellent service and quality products & ingredients all being used to develop a menu that feels authentic, different & special. The space itself is pretty much perfect. Very quirky spot with a great atmosphere and cool cocktails. I thought I'd hate the parm Pisco sour, but it was actually great. Lots of other cool choices too. Definitely a good spot, also quite close to Shibuya.

My partner wanted to visit this bar because it was on the Worlds Best Bar list, so we came on a rainy night and stood outside waiting for a spot to open up. 😒 However, they took our orders outside and served us outside. The drinks are unique and tasty and a great value. It was nice to even have some savory drinks which the guys in my party really loved. The vibe is casual but also upscale but also very dive at the same time. I’m not sure how to say it. It’s not pretentious but it’s also “nice.” Service is fantastic and definitely recommend!

The SG Club in Tokyo is probably my number one cocktail bar! It boasts two experiences: an underground speakeasy and a more laid-back bar upstairs. Each has its own menu, but the drinks are always tasty! To ensure a spot, make a reservation or show up early. 🍸

Cool bar with roast/fried chicken, snags and snacks. Good range of beers on tap from Yona Yona, my favorite brew in Japan. The French Cassis cocktail went down a treat for the sweet tooth. Miho, our server, was very friendly and helpful with translation and special request. Well worth a visit and a great relief from the crowds above!

We had a great meal here. All of the food was great - truffle, spicy curry and squid ink sausage, wasabi potato salad, chicken nuggets, spicy roasted chicken and fish no chips. Beers on tap were tasty also. Would recommend to anyone in the area. Miho was so wonderful as our server! Thanks for taking care of us :)

Big fan of craft beer and breweries back in the states, especially hazy IPAs, so I had to check out Yona Yona Beer Works. Tried their Hazy IPA and their well-known Yona Yona Ale, and both were great. They have lots of beers on tap and their beer branding is dope - I really liked the illustrations and visuals for each beer. I didn’t get to try the food this time, but I definitely will next time. 10/10 worth a visit

Stumbled into this bar and it turned out to be a very happy night. Good variety of craft beers and bites; the fried gizzards were a must try (sadly didn’t picture, but we ordered twice!). Very local vibes and staff were accommodating even though they didn’t speak much English. Cheers to bartender Sota for the drinks and smiles!

Yona Yona Beer Works is a gem. Stop in for a beer. They have a bunch of options and while their beer is great the food might actually be better. The service was outstanding and friendly.

Food was delicious, just a bit pricey for the portion….even in Japan. I did the pasta course, my wife did the chef’s special, and our daughter went with the cheese burger. Recommend to request the sauce on the side for the burger, as it has a unique flavor kinda like A1, which some kinds may not like. The specialty drinks are wonderful as well, but 990yen and non-alcoholic. All is all, a great place to visit. They also do live entertainment.

We had food out doors. It looks great. Cushioned seats, nice view and great looking menu. The service was poor. We had to shout from the top of our voice to get his attention. We had the burger. The meat was bland and tasteless. The waffle chips were good. The bacon I'm the Caesar salad was tasteless. Go for the Jazz, but not the food. Not worth the expense.

Up market jazz club that attracts top acts and a stylish crowd. Lacks a little in intimacy, but pretty good nonetheless. If you're not sure about jazz then this is a good place to go beca use its not as confronting as one of the many tiny jazz venues which often have you an arm's length from the performers.

Avoid Yokohama Station guest service office, it's always long queue and is super super slow moving. Otherwise is an incredibly busy hub, connecting you to so much of the city and beyond! For families, it's super convenient with plenty of shops and eateries right inside and connected. While the station itself is a transport nexus, it's your gateway to fantastic family-friendly spots like the Cup Noodles Museum, Anpanman Children's Museum, or even the Nissan Global Headquarters Gallery nearby for car enthusiasts. It's bustling, but efficient for getting around with little ones!

Huge station with underground malls, shops, all sorts of passageways, etc, that could be confusing for first-time visitors. Good for shopping on a rainy day, though. Or for souvenir hunting.

The journey ends where the sea begins. Glass towers mirror the harbor’s blue; ships, lovers, and trains share the same horizon. The Keihin–Tōhoku Line rests here, its rhythm fulfilled. It has carried the city’s heartbeat — from Saitama’s calm to Yokohama’s endless light. Tourist Tip: Major hub connecting Tokyo with the bay area. Visit Minato Mirai, Chinatown, and Yamashita Park. Ideal for sunsets by the sea or night walks under ferris wheel lights.

It's a bit tough to navigate if you are here for the first time and want to kill some time or grab something to eat in the nearby malls. It just lacks proper signage which is essential in places that don't allow for GPS navigation using maps. If you are just transferring between trains finding the right platform is a breeze. The only signage that could use some more prominent display are the Narita Airport NE'X train ones. Once you find the right entrance route is easy to follow. Just head to platform 10 and wait for a huge train to arrive. NE'X trains really stand out and it's impossible to miss one when you see it!

Nice station, big and spacious, however it can get over crowded depending the hrs . Its similar to shibuya station with plenty of shops and chain cafe , restaurents ( though these arent the best taste wise , you can eat way better right out the station ) . Its huge easy to get lost and can be quite hard for unseason tourists . The tiny elevators are always full of people .

It was my first time visiting Yokohama Station, and I was amazed at how huge it is! The size and number of shops inside were overwhelming—in a good way. You could easily spend hours here exploring.

Loads of people, good signage, fairly easy to get on the train you need. Food and bathrooms on site, also a station to get or reload your train card.

A nice place in Shimokitazawa, with an authentic feel to it. The walls are lined with English language books (all for sale) and dotted with pictures of British screen personalities. The beer was OK and the fish n' chips were the best I've had in Tokyo (although don't expect British sizes). I'd like to try the Sunday roast as it looks good.

A bit expensive but any bar that serves British food or imported beer in Japan is the same. I enjoyed the atmosphere and they often host stand up comedians. Cool hangout spot.

Relaxing British pub with good music. You can rent out the bar for private events for up to 100 people as well.

It has a very cool interior. The food is reasonably priced. Portion size is good. They have some vegetarian options. Even vegetarian lasagne, which is so rare in Japan. The only down side is that the food is a little bland (but I guess it is typical for the British cuisine lol).

Nice cozy place located in Shimokitazawa. Great for if you’re looking for a quick drink. Even better for if you’re looking to sit and chill for a while. The shelves are filled with many, many books that you can spend a long time exploring. We tried the fish & chips and the vegetable lasagne. The fish & chips was crispy and fresh. The vegetable lasagne is one of the best I have eaten around here.

The man that runs this place has great taste in music and makes a great cocktail. Amazing way to spend your night!

A temple for soul music lovers and a trademark of Shimokitazawa. The bar is as intimate as it gets with <10 seats, a 14,000-strong vinyl collection, and an owner who knows soul like no one else. The kind of place where you come to listen, not just drink. Even Nas has been here, which tells you everything. The drinks do the job but you’re really here for the music, the atmosphere, and the kind of deep cuts that make time stand still.

Place is so so cool, and the music is great. However there is no way it should be just one person working there, the guy was both dj and bartender, which meant he was behind on the drinks. Took 15 minutes to order then another 20 or so for him to get our drinks, which we had to remind him of. In the end the whiskey sours were delicious but drunk in 5 minutes and we had to leave, not knowing when we would get served again. Not helped by some unbearable people not getting a hint and pestering us

This place seems to be an institution in Shimokitazawa. A small listening bar on the second floor. You can hardly walk to the bathroom because of the sheer amount of vinyls in here. 14.000 roughly. The owner is a figure of his own. Prices are very ok. Keep in mind: this is a smoking bar. And since it‘s very narrow it is indeed quite smoky

Great bar with eclectic furniture and great people. Went there after dinner at GINZA Shunkashuton down the street. What a great bar! Got down (it’s down) and were greeted by “A day in the Life” for the Sgt’s Pepper album, something we haven’t heard again for half a century. Admired the eclectic assemblage of furniture straight from the sodai gomi pickup. Looks like there might be live music on some nights, there were big bass speakers, and a small stage. Yummy drinks. A lady at the bar had her birthday and was feted with appropriate music. I raised my hand and told the barkeep that my wife just get another year younger as well. We received a mojito with a sparkler. A great night was had. We shall return. (No food stars, because we already had eaten.)

This is my favorite local joint, found in a basement near the Yokohama HUB (North Exit). Owner makes strong drinks, vibe is artsy, warm, and relaxed. Occasionally holds live performances and events, as well as showcasing local artists’ work. Smoking is allowed, though. Just for those sensitive to it.

Great location if you want to chill and have a bottle of wine. Wine price was 2200 yen which is cheap for a place in Yokohama. Gave it a 4 out 5 because it doesn't accept card payments. However would come again.

Grassroots has an amazing atmosphere, great food, and fun people. I've been there several times, I go there just to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Sometimes they have live shows, events, and other special occasions. Definitely if you're in Yokohama go check it out.

Nice selection of craft beer and burgers. They make their own burger buns and thick cut bacon. Burgers were juicy and so good. Their homemade bacon is excellent! They also have other options such as curry, rice plate and salads.

Love this place. Good vibe, nice staff, takeout available. Best things on the menu in my opinion are 1. Chicken wings with homemade bbq and homemade ranch 2. The pulled pork sandwich 3. The tiramisu 4. The carne asada rice Burgers are also juicy if they are grilling! And fermented salsa is also delicious.

I just recently found out about this place and wanted to stop by for the mac and cheese. They are obviously known for their bbq, which I will come back to try at some point. I was just craving some mac and cheese so went. It was good, but not great. I wish they get just a regular option, not with any additional toppings (mine was chili con carne). The pickled jalapeños were a great addition though. Good craft beer selection as well.

I can't stop eating. My last night in Tokyo and I find this place right near where I'm staying. Everything has been delicious, the beef jerkey, the jerk chicken salad, the roast beef and fantastic beers. Beer on tap, beer in bottles. Atmosphere is great. I struggle to choose where to go in Tokyo because of too much choice. I struggle no more.

This beef salad and the wings are good but when we arrived at 5pm the waited seemed to tell us everything we wanted was out of stock or would take a while to make so would ask us if we are sure we we want it. Then when we went to get the bill he told us he would email us the recipt and started walking away so we asked him if he had out email and he said no. He did eventually agree to print the receipt. I think the food is good but maybe the service could use some work.

Great food. Love the bbq pork, jerk chicken, ribs. My favorite uber eats delivery shop. Also have a great dine in atmosphere. Has english menu. Bit pricey, but very very good food.

Update October 2024 They seem to have moved towards more Indian dishes and do not do burgers anymore. They also have many types of nachos now. Update April 11, 2023 Jerk chicken is still amazing here I started coming here ever since they did takeout during Covid. They offer premade meals packaged and ready to go. They prices range from 800 - 1800. The food is displayed out in the front once you walk inside. Service was very fast. A few people eat in, I heard their bbq is very good. My favorite to go food so far is the jerk chicken.

really nice, intimate bar playing great music. you can request one song for free. there’s a set service charge which I didn’t know of, it’s not a problem but would’ve been nice to make a mention of this on the menu or something (¥900) because when I paid ¥1900 for two cokes I got a bit surprised, but overall very good experience

This bar is a short walk from yoyogi station. Another cool vinyl record music bar. I think they probably attract a younger clientele as I was definitely the oldest person there. Their Manhattan is called a New York 🤣 but tasted good. There is a small fee, but for that price you can select a record from their collection to play. This is done via a QR code and you can also select your food that way. Their sound system also looked very interesting and sounded great. I chose Sade - By your side

One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in Tokyo. I asked two simple questions about the bar (since there was no prior guidance), but the staff brushed me off and blatantly told me to “read the menu” instead of simply answering “yes” or “no” — which would’ve been far more polite and efficient. The staff didn’t seem busy either; they were casually chatting with regulars. As someone who speaks Japanese, I could clearly tell they weren’t occupied with work, which made the dismissive attitude even more disappointing. The music was good, but with service this poor and food that’s only average at best, it’s definitely not worth a visit. There are plenty of bars in Tokyo with far better hospitality — your time is better spent at one of those instead.

It’s a lovely bar, the space is intimate and the seating is comfortable. The music played is not that appealing as the owner lets the patrons decide what to play which leads to a mismatched vibe and a lack of curation that can be a bit jarring if you’ve come to listen to good music. Potentially nice place to bring a date or a friend but not necessarily one for the music lovers imo. Fantastic Moscow Mules though and amazing bar snacks.

It was must visit place for me in Tokyo and I did. Lovely place with an amazing music and cocktails. The manager/bartender (I forgot his name) also, Kento, Ryota, Nosu were very friendly. Stumbled upon Miki’s Art Cafe on the second night of a month in Tokyo - and ended up spending many fun and memorable evenings there over the course of our stay. Fluent in both English and Japanese, and extremely welcoming to everyone who ventures in, Miki serves up great food and drinks while making everyone feel part of the conversation. And as a bonus, evening drinks often evolve into an entertaining group sing-along as guitars are produced from behind the bar and everone is encouraged to join in. I look forward to stopping by next time I’m in Tokyo!

Probably one of the best bars in the neighborhood,that can be both cozy and very lively depending on the time of the day. A nice selection of imported beers, homemade food and various other drinks for good prices. The owner speaks fluent english and is very outgoing as are actually most of the patrons. If you want to make some new friends or just chat leisurely and relax, this is the place to go in Hatagaya

Excellent cozy bar that attracts a good mix of welcoming locals. Foreigner and LGBT friendly. Miki is a lovely owner who speaks fluent English and does her best to make everyone in her bar feel like they are part of Miki's. If you're around Hatagaya definitely pop in and say hello, whether by yourself or with friends. Evening at Mikis can be calm and quiet, or wild and rowdy, but they are always warm and enjoyable.

Went here on our first night in Tokyo and received the warmest welcome. Miki was a lovely host and we are so glad we chose this place for your first night in Tokyo.

Such an amazing hidden gem in this part of Tokyo, you quickly find yourself at home! Miki’s dishes are really delicious. I visited this place on Friday night and they had a seat available at the bar. Some of the beers were sold out, but they still had many craft beers to choose from. They change the taps every day. The price for one glass of craft beer was reasonable. There weren't many food options available, mostly snacks

Been coming here for 14 years. They always have a great selection of Japanese Craft Beers and some nosh if you get hungry. Temperature is always pleasant and the wifi is solid. A great hang.

Interesting Craft Beer place in the ropponggi neighbourhood! It’s underground and serve a wide selection of Craft beer with essence of Japan! I especially like the Yuzu beer! Something really refreshing! Their staut were well done as well! Their bar food was great pairing as well! Would recommend anyone to check out when around roppongi

12 Japanese craft beers on tap that rotate almost nightly. It’s a tiny little bar in the basement level which has been featured in some beer documentaries worth checking out. Okay for groups up to four without getting too uncomfortable. They have food like chicken wings but we didn’t try. Live tap menu can be found on Untappd. Recommend hitting up once you get off the train before bar hopping to Brewdogs and Two Dogs.

This was my favorite evening hangout during this trip to Tokyo. The beers are terrific and the beer sommelier was knowledgeable and fluent in English. I always wish my foreign languages were better, but I’ve never gotten past pleasantries in any other language besides English. We had a great time and they now have a Filipino 100 peso note hanging in the bar signed by us.

Super close to our hotel and great for a late night hang! Very dive bar like if you’re from the states I anticipate you know what I mean. 990 yen pp for 3 tickets (a little less then $7 pp) It’s a cool place to stop for a sec definitely seemed like a local spot. Personally I’m a big music person and the playlist was a total miss for me (but) still a cool experience. If you’re in Ginza late night it’s a spot ($6.78 gets you a napkin I LA so….)

Affordable bar with items starting from 330 yen tax inclusive. Best to combine when coming with a friend or two as they have this 3,300 yen promo for 11 tickets. It’s a standing bar though without any stools at all so that’s a no-no if you already have tired legs. Food is decent and you can find a drink of choice from what they offer.

It’s one of the cheapest & best bar to get drunk & enjoy. If you visit during happy hours it’s even more cheaper.

A good standing bar to visit in Ginza that won't break your budget. As others have mentioned, there's a ticketing system with a minimum 3 ticket purchase (¥990 tax included), but if you're out and about with mates, just take the 11 tickets for ¥3300). The tickets are also usable at any Ginza 300 establishment, so me and my mate walked over to another Ginza 300 closer to the hotel at the end of the night. However, I'd like to specially mention that the staff at this particular Ginza 300 establishment were much more friendly and accommodating towards a pair of gaijins versus the other Ginza 300 we visited. :)

This bar is wonderful and the people are so friendly - staff and patrons! We made fast friends with both. There are many cocktails available, and the 300 bar rings true with each cocktail being 300 yen (approximately $3 American equivalent). Our favorites were the Long Island Iced Tea and the Godfather (whiskey and Disaron -sp?). This would easily be a spot to frequent.

Super value fun bar! Drinks are really cheap, and are all 300yen as advertised. Some finger food is available. About 50/50 Japanese to Gaijin ratio. Good crowd, good vibe, live DJ and good music. Highly recommended. Good to come early as it does get busy after about 7pm.

This is one of the decent bars to hit up in the Ginza and Yurakucho area. The bar has three locations and they are all on the basement 1st floor, so please keep that in mind if you have anyone with a wheelchair or leg injuries. They run on a ticket system where each ticket is 300 yen and every drink and snacks/appetizers are all 1 ticket each. Overall, for a ¥300 cocktail, they don't skimp out on the alcohol and the food selection is surprisingly great, you can tell the staff there work really diligently. Recommended for cheap late night drinks.

I live near the PDX (Portland) area. Feels just like home. Love this place! Cheese steak was so delicious too!

As soon as I saw PDX, I knew it was the Portland Oregon airport city code. I was very pleasantly surprised the the large selection of craft beer, and the staff were very welcoming and engaging. I would definitely recommend visiting!

We came here for a little reminder of home after a long day in Tokyo. Lots of good oregon beer and your standard local pub bites. We were honestly surprised how much it felt like a PNW spot. It's off the beaten path (about 10-15 min walk from Shibuya), but it's definitely worth it. We went in at dinner on Sunday and had no wait with fast and friendly service. They had a great selection of portland local beers that you often can't find outside of oregon. The food was fresh, and it tasted great. English and Japanese language friendly. Highly recommended for everyone to come experience this gem.

Friendly staff and very good beer! I had a Ghost Coast IPA recommended and it was so good. Their steak sandwich was like a gourmet version of grilled cheese sand and it was so yummy with a good fries on the side. I’ll definitely go back there to try more of their beer on tap and bar food.

A small craft beer bar styled from Portland, Oregon in the US. A good range of US craft beers on tap as well as other drinks, the food menu selection is broad and appealing and the food of good quality. The latter alone could set this place apart from other craft beer places in the area. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.

Such a vibe! The bar has a warm and cosy feel, the choice of records was great, drinks are delicious (and very well priced) and seeing “Grandfather” working the bar was very sweet. Love an atmospheric spot like this.

We stopped in here at 17:30 and waited about 5 mins for a seat at the bar. Staff are so helpful and prices are very good. The man playing the vinyl records was so cute and said he had over 2000 records. They are all lined up on the wall and the decor is very cool in there. He thanked us when we were leaving and gave us some coasters and branded matchsticks ! We should have stayed all night 10/10!

What a fantastic atmosphere at Grandfather's. We were made to feel welcome by not only the staff but also a local patron who showed us how we could choose music to be played. This was truly one of the most magical and memorable experiences I’ve had in Tokyo. The music and the atmosphere was wonderful. And so were their tiny martini glasses.. You can spend hours here having a nightcap and day dreaming. It’s a must visit for sure.

Best beer I've had in Japan yet, and I'm a beer snob! I like the theme, metal thrasher bar. Love all of the signatures on the wall from some of my favorite American breweries! However, when we walked in on a Tuesday night, there were about 5 patrons at the bar, and other than the Slayer playing, was quiet as a library. Everyone was just looking at their phones. There wasn't even any interaction with the bar tender, you order on a screen. I tried to interact with him in my limited Japanese, no luck. They do not sell bottles to go, and do not sell glasses. But the beer was so good I would still go back. I think it was around 700¥ for a small pour, and 900¥ for a pint, great price compared to other craft beer bars.

As a massive fan of craft beer, ThrashZone is an incredible bar/microbrewery with super unique brews. No bottles, everything is on tap. HOP DECIDE and MORBID RED are must tries, but you really can’t go wrong with any of their brews. Due to Covid-19 they have stricter rules (which some other reviewers fail to understand) because they are a very small bar and could be shut down if they don’t obey strict safety rules. Limited customers allowed in the bar for now, but it is well worth the wait. EXTREME BEER FOR EXTREME PEOPLE! :)

Excellent pub. The owner Ko-San is a really good dude and likes some great music. He's also open to requests and talking about it. Cool old school rock decor inside.

The place to be in Yokohama if you like craft beer and metal and punk music. Good selection of craft beers, but beware, the beers served here are extreme with very high alcohol percentage, like 10% or more. This concept is so good and works well with the music blasting out from the speakers (German Thrash metal like Kreator was what we git to enjoy). Maybe not the fanciest of places and it is quite small (an izakaya), but if you’re into metal or punk, then this will not be a bother. Cheers!

One of my favourite places in Tokyo! Staff are super friendly, lots of locals and tourists. Even if you are travelling by yourself, go there... have some drinks and make some friends. The music is great (Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest nights). You normally pay an entry fee, but u get drinks...worthy!

Eagle is a great gay bar in Tokyo with a welcoming atmosphere and really nice staff. The service was friendly and made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. A solid spot for drinks and meeting people.

Had a great experience here last year. The happy hour prices were very generous. I visited almost every night I was in Tokyo in October and November 2023. I was there for about 5 days each trip. Everyone I spoke to was really kind and helpful. Sho was extremely friendly and made me feel at home immediately. Jackun was also really cool to talk to. He made his own specialty drink for me one night that was amazing. There was another great guy whose name I unfortunately can't remember at the moment. I think he was Japanese/Thai and had lived in Norway at one point? My favorite memory of the place was when I returned from Taipei in November. I told a couple of the bartenders that my partner said "I love you" for the first time. They all started cheering and announced it to everyone in the bar in Japanese. Then, one of them put on "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis, and they all started chanting "Marriage! Marriage!" 🤣🤣🤣 I will definitely be back as soon as possible.

I had such a blast at this bar! At first I was disappointed that it’s not like the Eagles in America (fetish, leather bar/club). But I must admit I enjoyed the bar vibe, lots of bears, HOT guys and just...NICE people! The bartenders are great. Strong drinks. Go for the double. 1400yen for a double Bombay tonic..soo worth it. Me and my friend even came twice in one night! I also bought a shirt :)

It's a decent sized bar for shinjuku standards with great staff. English is easily used, or you can speak japanese if you like. The bar goers are also friendly overall. The alcohol and beer prices are higher than what I've seen other bars in Tokyo. Draft beer is about 1000 yen. It's a good start to the night if you want to do bar hopping with friends.

My friend group and I come to this bar often, we always start the night by enjoying a trip to Tokyo Eagle. The happy hour is really great and it goes to 9:00 pm everyday. The staff is incredible nice and friendly, the weekdays is more intimate while the weekends can be pretty full with customers usually spilling out on to the streets at time. The drinks are strong and the interior of the bar is always changing with the current holiday or event theme. But if anything I highly recommend it for the staff Sho and Jackun are always very friendly. If you’re a foreigner I would definitely pop in, there is never a cover charge also!

I have come here four times now and I really want to like this place. I do not want to sound negative or cynical but it is really hard to understand what is the focus. The food is frustrating and the beer equally so. I follow this place on social media and often get excited from the photos and descriptions but once I am there it is just not what I was hoping for. The tacos cannot be called tacos, at 400yen each they are so small and no salsa included, I understand the struggles this country has with Mexican food, but I really wish they would try harder. I am happy to pay 500-600yen for something that resembles a taco that includes salsa. The beer always seems to never be quite good. I was excited to try the English IPA but it was just not good. I cannot blame Sakura Taps for this, but I am hoping so much for better beer especially at the premium paid 940yen for 250ml. The staff is nice enough and the space is cozy. Really I am wishing so much for a place in Noge/Sakuragicho that has excellent food and excellent beer beyond local choices and izakaya fair. So far that wish is no achieved. If you are visiting from EU/US/AUS/CAN I cannot recommend. Any other place where beer and tacos are not that good then please try, it is good enough without being great. I will continue to try and not give up and really hope that this can become one of my favorite places. I do not want to be a reluctant customer and hope so much I can come back to this review with five stars and a better description of my experience.

Happy to have stopped here for a beer. The staff was very friendly and prompt, and the beer I ordered was great. My husband and I arrived soon after they opened, and we were able to get a table quickly. Within 30 minutes of opening, the place was very busy with customers. It seems to be a popular place, and my experience shows why.

Great place to sample a variety of different craft beer from 8 taps. Beer selection is generally a nice variety of styles and rotates frequently. Friendly staff, enough English to get by if you don't know Japanese, solid appetizer-type dishes. I go there regulalry.

The atmosphere and service here is great. Though it only sits about 12 people, there is a standing area in front of the counter. They cycle their types of craft beer every now and then and sometimes they get some really rare beers on tap. I would also highly recommend their mixed nuts. The owner smokes them with a custom recipe and they are the best snacks you can ever get. It's also easy to get to via the Sakuragicho station. Highly recommended!

Overall had a pleasant experience. Recieved friendly service. Lots of people working or reading. Menu offer selection of alcohol, ice lollies, and coffee. The ambience was chill and cozy, lots of nice plants around that give a tranquil feeling. Limited seating (especially during the current covid pandemic), there are some places to sit outside. Coffee was delicious and smooth--artisan coffee. Would come again.

Disgusting tea and service. milk tea was just diluted hot water. the guy who took my order seemed very annoyed when i asked about the menu. the owner really should reeducate the employees. the ambience is nice but that's it.

Great pizza, especially for Japan! We walked in without a reservation and were seated right away. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the Neapolitan-style pizza was excellent. The Greek salad was also fresh and flavorful. Definitely a great pizza spot to check out while you’re in Japan!

We went here on a whim and to grab a quick bite. Being from Philly (we love pizza and try it on every trip we take) and also believe that we have some of the best pizza in the country. We saw this place and decided to try it! It was very good and the ambiance was cute. We were surrounded by families (many moms and their little ones which we loved). The waiters were courteous and very helpful. We got the lunch special which was a salad w grilled pumpkin, a small pizza of your choice and the desert of the day. It was very good and we enjoyed it!

I had a very fun time with my friends. We came in with no reservation and were able to be seated within seconds. We would have to leave the table after 90 minutes, but that’s no problem at all. It’s a fun DIY experience, where you can choose your sauce, cheese and toppings. Though, as pizza usually does, it tends to become quite expensive fast. The pizza tasted great, the staff was helpful and kind and we made some great memories, while spending about 4000¥ per person, which isn’t too great, but also not too bad!

I ordered Deep fried Dofu Japanese style broth & Tepan Nikurice (supposedly 3 types of meat comprising beef, chicken , pork) , considering I am not a beef lover, the manager suggested a substitute of either chicken or pork. Overall ambience was good, clean and staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved the bouncy soft Dofu and the special broth tastes just amazingly wonderful, I can definitely get a second or third serving of this Dofu had I not ordered the Tepan Nikurice. As for the Nikurice, it was a very unique Tepan rice with the right blend of sauce. Definitely recommend to try if you happen to pass by within this area. I observed most diners ordered its signature chicken wings, and I had a chance to taste them as I revisited the dining place. Glad I came by… there’s even step by step diagram to guide you so as to ensure that you are enjoying these signature wings!
