I was disappointed with our experi3nce given others reviews. Went there on a Friday evening and there were no other customers there, deadly quiet and no entertainment. All the steaks were unavailable as well. I'm looking somewhere else next time.

I order pizza arrive with wrong ingredients, burn under and not cook on top .. change after for wings and fries, got no taste wings and frozen fries kind.. waitress had a fake smile for serve me.. but the resto look good and for sure at night ambiance should good for bar... One of the best Western-style bars and restaurants in Medan, and oddly enough located right next door to another one, District 10. A decent selection of basic liquor. Bartender Udin is a good guy who speaks English quite well. He's more than willing to try and accommodate off-menu cocktail requests, but his selection is limited (no vermouth, for instance). They stock an Indonesian whiskey if you want to be adventurous. Food is Western-style and Indonesian. Be warned that Western-style in Indonesia is not always what you'd think of back home, and additional spice, saltiness, or sweetness is typical in many Western-style dishes. Oxtail rice is delicious. They also offer a very nice tea service. Ambiance is relaxed, suitable for a business lunch (very quiet during the days), as well as a nice evening out. Live music on the weekend evenings, indoor and outdoor seating. Bar seating as well if you're traveling solo. Staff is friendly and attentive.

I like the ambiance and the interior design of the place, it's cozy and the sound inside isn't that loud so you can still hear the other person talking. But they need to upgrade their sound system though, the sound isn't really good to hear.

If u wanna sit & relax in a place with great dance music and have some booze but do not want to enter a nightclub, this is a great place for it. Good food & non-alcohol beverages are also available in here.

I have to agree with the reviews that this is the number one club in Medan. The music was good only didn't like the Saturday selection since it was more house music which isn't my type of music. There ratio of guys and girls are almost even. Price point I think it's a bit expensive. They are flexible with the dress code and if u are wearing shorts they still allow you in

I'm rating this low only because it's listed in Google as a place for billiards. Yet when I went there, they only had one table (instead of the two some of their pictures show) and it was upstairs in a corner of the place where they didn't have AC on. This is primarily a club. Staff was confused by my request to play billiards but eventually figured it out. Friendly enough, but not a good place to shoot pool.

High price wouldn't be a problem if it was worth it. This place isn't worth it. It's stinky with smoke, music is terrible techno out of a nightmare, and the crowd is mostly men sitting around smoking. Nobody on the dancefloor even on a Saturday night. Sad. Last night there was a guy in there who appeared to have a young lady 'arranged' for him. Looked a very obvious situation. Some of the staff look particularly nefarious. Very slow service with a bad attitude. If you're from the west, especially Ireland you'll hate it. What a place! Grim.

Okay there's something wrong with how they define the word 'pint', we assumed pint of beer was 500ml. but most "pint" in the menu for example- Guinness and such was a 330ml bottle which was weird for us. This was a Japanese temple, notice all the wooden structures. Used to be a very exclusive members only club in Medan. Everybody who's somebody in Medan is member here. Up to the 90s I think, the restaurant still serve one of a kind menus... kakap kaligis, ox tounge steak, chicken special, baked alaska using corn ice cream... dont have it anywhere else, even in today's Jakarta. The tableware were all imported. The waiters knows your prefered table. The waiter captain wore red kopiah. Members who dine don't need to pay cash, just sign the bill. The bar room fully stocked, double gin martinis were always excellent. Once a month on Sunday is movie night. The 5 star is for my time there during the 70s to 90s. Great memories...

This place opens at 7pm but the music doesn't really get going until closer to 10pm. Which means, if you want a place to come and have cocktails and chat in a pretty relaxed and empty environment, this is a GREAT spot! The stained glass window aesthetics make it feel like an old church. In addition to downstairs seating there is more limited upstairs seating with deep, comfy chairs. Service is prompt and friendly. Drinks are typical prices for Medan and they offer a good variety of shots and cocktails. Appetizer style food is good - fried squid & fried chicken skins are both tasty. No parking to speak of unless you're on a moto. Check the other reviews in regards to the music later at night. I like this place early and quiet!

Super chill bar with great staff who just want you to relax and enjoy yourself. Real surprise finding this place in Medan as it's unique for the city. Music isn't my favourite but the beer and whiskey sure is. It's located outside the city centre but easy enough to get to and return from.

The closest thing to a whiskey bar I've found in Medan. Staff is pleasant and attentive. Little English but, as with most places, if you can point at a menu or a bottle you're going to be just fine and they're happy to have you there. Cash or credit cards accepted - not sure about e-wallet payments. A healthy selection of Scotch whisky and a few American whiskeys. Other liquors also available and they have a menu of craft cocktails that are quite respectable. The Lavish Sour is an Indonesian spin on the classic whiskey sour that is delicious. A respectable Long Island Iced Tea that is neither too sweet or too lime-y. On the other hand, according to my drinking buddy the gin & tonics were rather lackluster. They have an appetizer and meal menu to go with the drinks. Their Tex-Mex tacos are, while not really Tex or Mex, are on real tortillas and served with small lime wedges and are tasty in their own right. The Southern Fried Chicken is definitely an Indonesian creation with a thick and crisp shell of spiced batter around small chicken wings and drumettes. Delicious, though you probably won't need the plastic gloves they're served with :-) You can also purchase pricey cigars here (~$30) if that's your thing and you're going to be planted for a few hours to enjoy one. The atmosphere is definitely quite relaxed and a lot of thought and effort has gone into creating a classy ambiance. Deep leather couches and oversized chairs prevail, along with some small tables and chairs. When we arrived about 7:30pm the place was empty and there was jazz music playing and that was a very nice change from the thumpy club music most places opt for. Unfortunately, about 8:30pm when a few more people drifted in the jazz disappeared and was replaced with thumpy club music. Stick with the classic vibe and ditch the thumpy stuff! Excellent place to enjoy a drink and a bite with a friend or a date. Not sure if it gets crazier later on but it definitely gets a little louder, and the close proximity of some tables and chairs will inevitably mean some folks are going to have to start speaking pretty loud to be heard over the general din. Still, as dins go, I'd prefer to be in this one more than any other in town! I can't wait to go back next week!
