Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to try their coffee, as they had run out of oat milk and didn’t offer any alternative milk options at the time, which was a bit disappointing. The location is a definite plus, with a lovely view overlooking the Cloud 9 boardwalk—an ideal setting for a relaxing meal. As for the service, it was just okay—not particularly memorable, but adequate. Overall, it's worth a visit, especially if you're after wholesome food in a scenic setting.

Second time there but best one ever. Live music, great pizza and the passion fruit margarita was 💣A place indescribable as you have to be there to appreciate and understand. Cloud 9 is, well, Nirvana and Paradise rolled into one.

On the last day of our Siargao trip, we decided to try Shaka Siargao after watching the sunrise at Cloud 9. We had read plenty of good reviews, so we thought it would be a nice final stop before flying back home. Shaka opens at 6:30 AM, and since we arrived early from sunrise watching, the staff were still cleaning. We waited a bit and placed our order as soon as they officially opened. We went for their best-selling smoothie bowl, the Bomb Dia 2.0, which costs ₱330. The smoothie bowl was served quickly, as we were their first customers for the day. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. I'm a fan of smoothie bowls, and I appreciated the aesthetic presentation — especially the mango carved into a rose. The location also adds to the experience, with a nice view of the ocean and Cloud 9 right from your seat. In terms of taste, I’d say it was just okay — 3 out of 5 for me. There was a slight unusual flavor, which I suspect came from the coconut bowl. It might’ve been an older one, and the taste seemed to mix into the smoothie. I’m not entirely sure, but overall, there was nothing particularly special about the flavor. For vegans and health-conscious eaters, this spot is definitely worth checking out. The ambiance is relaxing and cozy, and it’s a peaceful place to unwind — especially if you’re starting your day early. *07/25'25 💛

Me and my partner had a fruit bowl with yoghurt at Shaka, and it was such a delight! The presentation was truly the best—colorful, fresh, and inviting. Not only did it look amazing, but it also tasted just as good. A perfect balance of freshness and flavor. Definitely a must-try when in Siargao! 🌴🥭🍓✨

Affordable food & drinks. Place has good vibes & they have free billiards table and darts. They have some sort of quiz once a week but we weren't able to attend, hopefully next time 😁

Barrel absolutely nailed our birthday cake request!! Not only did they bring our wild jungle cake idea to life, but they made it even better than we imagined. From the design to the tiny animal details to the delicious flavor, it was everything we could’ve hoped for. I’m a grown adult and I still think one of the best parts of the party was seeing that Jumanji cake! 😂 Huge thank you to the talented team at Barrel — you made one little girl very happy and gave all the adults something to rave about too. 🎂🌴💚

A short, morning visit. Great location right on the beach. Nice breakfast, very reasonably priced. Felt simple but yet very authentic experience of this beautiful island of Siargao.

The place is amazing! The sports bar is a lot of fun and really enjoyable, but what we loved the most was the beachfront bar area. It had such a great vibe! 💯

This beachfront bar is our go-to place whenever we’re on the island! It’s one of our favourite places to chill out, eat in, or just have a drink and relax! Our food and drinks experience there is always on point. The beachfront bar is so tranquil and relaxing, which is also complimented with friendly and happy staff. If you want a little more action, you can go to their actual sports bar located just behind the beachfront bar or at the entrance of the property. It’s got some great vibe in there too, especially if you’re into watching sports, like football. I would highly recommend this place!

We always dine here when we go to IAO. I asked the waitress if I could borrow the pitcher for water since its self service but they didnt allow it. The food is great but the service is a no-no. Some employees should be trained properly. The fact na pinoy kami and sila. Such a disappointment to dine. Follow up review: the girl came up to us and said that its their policy to charge us corkage fee for bringing outside food well in fact na wala naman silang same dish on their menu. It only applies pag may same dish sa resto and its not stated on their menu. Also as for the pitcher, they cannot allow to provide a pitcher for water as it was self service and needed for in house guests, well we wouldnt stay there the whole day to hold the pitcher, dining would only take an hour only and ndi kami mapaheram. The so-called manager should have been approachable and nice but she just gave us a strong approach with anger and saying lots of example which doesnt align with other policies as she mentioned that the policy is same with everywhere, which is not. Not a very good dining exp, really! I wouldnt recommend this to my friends anymore! Such a waste.

We're all happy with the food we ordered; pork curry, burger, fish tacos, patatas, ribeye (some part a bit chewy). Nice big place, good music, attentive and friendly service. Good crowd.

I’ve been here many times — the food is consistently good, and the drinks are just as great. Start off with a Pomada as your welcome drink — you’ll love it! I highly recommend trying the fish tacos and the peri-peri chicken; the flavors are amazing. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients — the authenticity of the food shines through. One of the main reasons I keep coming back is the warm and friendly staff. Special mention to Manager Lovely and Chef Eugene, who always make sure every table feels cared for and appreciated. Bravo! 👏🏼

I’ve only tried two dishes here so far, and while both were good, they weren’t anything mind-blowing. That said, the atmosphere is really nice and the staff were friendly, which made the experience enjoyable. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but I might come back to try more of their menu before making a final judgment. 😊

Oh my Wow!!! Motivated by the review from my favorite restaurant informant here in Siargao, Elaine Abonal, I returned twice in 2 days to the OG, in terms of excellent vibe and food, establishment in Siargao. In my opinion Bravo were the first in town to create a beautiful, yet welcoming to all, magic space right on the beach here in Siargao. Anyway enough of the nostalgia🤣I have enjoyed long lunches here the past 2 days and everything I've eaten and drunk was on point. But I want to tell you about an amazing dish I experienced today. My host, whose name was Lovely, and she totally lived up to this, suggested I try the octopus dish. I don't usually partake but she persisted in a gentle, but knowing way, that was impossible to resist and resulted in one of the most wonderful dining experiences I have ever enjoyed. I could tell you about the perfect texture, the amazing flavour, I could go on and on, but I will learn from Lovely, and just say "give it a try, you won't be disappointed" PS sorry about the photo, it's does not do the dish justice, I suggest you get here as soon as possible and take your own photo 😁

We had dinner at Bravo Siargao and everything was delicious. The restaurant has a cozy feel and a great atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The prices are definitely worth it for the quality of the food. Highly recommended and a must-visit when you’re in Siargao.

Great food. We had breakfast there this morning…eggs and bacon were perfect but….the cheesecake is beyond description. I have NEVER eaten cheesecake this good in my 70 years on earth. Prices are good and the staff didn’t treat me like the riff-raff I am.

Amazing food and amazing drinks! We went for an early dinner and happy hour. They have a 2 for 1 special on some classic cocktails. There was also a bingo event we joined after. The place turns into a club on Wednesday nights.

We came here for snack after playing padel. Was a bit starving. We ordered the Panini but we requested it to make it like a pizza style and they delivered what we requested. Staff are friendly and nice. We had an awesome experience. Will be back again. Thanks to Yen who made our request order possible and Alona to approve it.😊

We visited Goodies Café many times during our stay in Siargao since it was right beside our accommodation, and every single time we were impressed. The staff here are truly amazing — all of them. From morning to evening, no matter how busy it got, they were always so kind, welcoming, and attentive. They made us feel at home and gave us the best service every time. On top of that, the food and drinks are delicious and consistently fresh — whether it was coffee in the morning, smoothies in the afternoon, or dinner in the evening, everything we tried was really enjoyable. What really makes this place special, though, is the incredible team. We’re so thankful for their warmth and hospitality and would definitely recommend stopping by.

Everything was scrumptious apart from the burnt toast but it was still good. The crepe was unbelievable, perfect amount of banana and nutella. Its mouthwatering.

Nice place, good meal but there’s UNSANITARY conditions! We came here for the breakfast and took philippino breakfast set, cheese panini, crepe with apple & cinnamon, americano and cappuccino. The food and coffee was nice and tasty. But when we finished our breakfast we noticed how waiters took dirty cups from tables, went to the sink (that was not clean place) close to the bar and washed them just with their hands. No soap, no sponge! Then barman took a cup, dried it with not a fresh towel and made a coffee for another guest! Then during several hours after breakfast my stomach was feeling not good enough. Also some their staff was not welcoming and pleasant.

The BAD - one bartender blatantly tried to RIP ME OFF after probably thinking I've had a few drinks. This was on our second visit. I gave him a 1000php for a 200php purchase but he only returned 600php. He knew I'd caught him red-handed when I asked for my money before I walked away from the bar area. Now I couldn't care less about the money and I'd give that in tips willingly but I hate dishonesty. Visitors beware! The good - Happy hour 2 for 1 drinks with good cocktails on offer. Live Acoustic on a Thursday was fun. Bachata dance class was nice. Plenty of nightly events. Great vibes and loud tunes once people start arriving.

Party party party! The place to be for a Monday night when the crowd is big. However sometimes the crowd may be a bit “too big” as the place is small. There is an upstairs and a dance floor below. Drinks are usual and good. Service is fast but still has a bit of a line if super busy. Even fun to stand outside and smoke or drink while the party happens inside.

One of the best bars in Siargao! The crowd is young with a good mix of local and foreign tourists. The drinks are not as affordable as in city bars but on par with other bars in the island. On a Monday night they play 80s hits and it amazed me how the young crowds were able to sing to the music of the decade. The only downside is that they don’t have more space and their toilet is not the cleanest. Other than that, it’s a great place to hang out with friends.

Great place to visit if you’re looking fir drinks and music. Was told that there’s somewhat of a party event on Friday’s. Live music when I went on Sunday night and they closed that day around 11 pm.

This is a great place for beginners. Sorry I cannot give the experienced level review as very much the former. Of the instructors, Paul was stand out as he gave on going advice and tips on the surfing when in the waves, which made the learning process hugely enjoyable. Bearing in kind we were here to relax and actually not to surf, we had a great couple of days. The bayani restaurant was also excellent. The food was brilliant and finally a place that can make cocktails. Staff polite and courteous. Highly recommend this eatery.

I went to Harana for the 5 day lesson package & was so happy with my experience that I even came back for 2 extra days. Everyone working here is so nice & welcoming I promise you will have the best time in & out of the water. By the end of my lessons I was amazed at how far I came from my first day! my instructor dion was such an amazing teacher as well I highly recommend him.

We booked onto the five day beginners course & had the best week with Harana. Our guides Mike & Masoy were so much fun, so friendly and great instructors. The other staff that helped organise the timings were so lovely as well and the lady we were in contact with (didn’t get her name) made our experience a positive one. Wouldn’t hesitate to return to Harana in the future and I’d highly recommend them to anyone wanting a surf school in Siargao!

What to say about Harana surf school? Definitely the best surf school I attended so far! Especially for beginners I cannot recommend it enough. You get a 5 day course with intense content every day! I learned so much! But the best thing about our time were our amazing surf teachers KwaKwa and Charlie!!! They are one of a kind and really tried to help us! But it’s not Onkel them it really is the whole team at Harana surf! We will be back! 🏄‍♀️🏄‍♀️

Great surf school. Nice little mini powerpoints before lessons for safety and etiquette. Clean and nice looking facilities. Definitely surfer vibes. Flexible scheduling and really responsive on WhatsApp. I'd highly recommend the 5 day surf camp course. When driving there, Google maps is funny on the island. Put your location for Harana resort, and it'll better guide you there

I had a great experience with my surf guide Mike! He took me to a new spot early in the morning and we scored some epic waves with only us for the first hour!! Absolute dream. He was super supportive and helpful in wave selection and always watched out for me to ensure lineup etiquette and safety. I felt like I could trust him 100% and I loved his positive energy in the lineup! I had a really frustrating experience with another surf guide before this one so I was a bit nervous about how this would go but Mike came highly recommended from a friend, and I'm so happy I got the chance to surf with him. Great communication throughout and he even helped me pick a spot for the next day. Salamat po Mike!

It started when my room mate in Harana dorm invited me to try surf class in their in-house surf school, Harana Surf School, so I did the one day class (30 minutes - 1 hour theory and 2 hours actual surfing) I didn't expect that i would end up liking it. i was very happy that i able to sand and ride the wave on my first day surf (im a big person and no good on balance) so i schedule another class until i get another class again and again until I finished there 5 day surf class. our surfer instructors are the best; Mike and Tung-Tung. crew are very nice, warm and accommodating. they bring us to different surfing spot Gywan, Santa Fe, Libertad, Sta Cruz. Awesome experience, we even recommended it to our friends we met in tours. definitely will go enroll again for refresher when i get back. certified surfer instructor, the best one in the Island!

So nice, we went twice! It was the salads we loved. Insalada Mista: Pumpkin, eggplant, feta, and walnut. Siargao Salad: squid, fresh greens, and mango. Both the Calamansi Juice and the Infused Hibiscus are winners, as is the sourdough bread. Ubi Tiramisu shared for dessert was perfect. Light, fluffy, flavorful. All at a reasonable price with delightful and attentive servers. La Carinderia is a restaurant you’ll want to include on your itinerary, especially if you’re looking to avoid carbs and eat lower on the food chain with salads.

At La Carinderia in Siargao, their tiramisu feels like a sweet hug after a long island day — rich, creamy, and made with love. It’s not overly fancy, just perfectly balanced with that smooth mascarpone and a gentle coffee kick that hits right. The place itself feels warm and real — open-air, wooden tables, the sound of waves not too far off. It’s the kind of dessert that reminds you you’re somewhere special, where food is made with heart and enjoyed slow.

Had the ragu bolognese - really tasty and filling! On the busy tourism road but at least has some plants between you and the road! Would recommend the food here and will hopefully be back soon! Only downside was our waitress being miserable and looking like she didn’t even want to serve us but hopefully that’s a one off!

La Carinderia is always a must when in Siargao. Every pasta on the menu is fantastic — you really feel the warmth of home in every bite. Equally warm: the excellent service. (Get the lasagna!)

I've seen this place reviewed on many platforms, by many pros and non-pro food bloggers. Most of them had great reviews, hence my reason to try this spot. Street side parking only. No valet service here. Expect to wait in line for a table. Making a reservation for.bigger groups is highly recommended. I tried a couple of their famous items on their menu and I was not disappointed. Service was good and food was great. I will come back for sure to try their other items.

One of the most popular restaurants in Siargao for a reason. The service was friendly and efficient, I couldn’t believe the amount of customers they were serving and how they were the turning over the tables. The spring rolls with blue cheese sauce was delicious to the point I keen on thinking about them even weeks later. The Santa Fe was my favourite the flavours were balanced perfectly, it was refreshing and spicy. And the shrimps were cooked just right. Can’t wait to come back! Wish we has d a restaurant like this back home 💛

We love Cev! Went here for two consecutive days (attempted for three but too bad we had a different plan) when we were at the island. Love the freshness of the kinilaw and the flavors just hit the spot! Great overall experince! Very attentive and sweet service, we had to wait for a little bit, because we did not make reservations, but it was so worth it! The place itself has a great vibe, feels welcoming and warm. We had the fishballs and fried springs rolls with minced fish and bluecheese dip as a starter, both so delicious! Especilly the spring rolls really hit the right spot. We had the General Luna and the Santa Fe Kinilaw and they were both so special and tasty! We will definitely come back.

One of my faves on the island. From the first bite of their classic kinilaw, I knew I would eat there again. I liked everything I ate, particularly the kinilaw and their spicy mango smoothie (which is basically Mexican mangonada but made with Philippine mangoes--I had 2 in one sitting). Also fyi, their reservations can be fully booked ahead of time but I only did walkins and I didn't wait long. I recommend coming early or around 1:45pm. I don't know about the dinner crowd as I only visited during lunch. There's so many great restaurants in Siargao, but this is one of the must try. I already imagine visiting again and heading directly back to this restaurant.

The food at this restaurant was absolutely splendid, perfectly complementing the ocean vibe of Siargao. Since I was expecting a lot of seafood, I was thrilled to find that this place truly captures the essence of beachside dining. It was my first time trying ceviche, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. While it shares similarities with kinilaw, there are noticeable differences, and after tasting it, I can confidently agree with others who say their ceviche is outstanding. Their fish ball dish was seasoned exceptionally well—though the servings were small, which is expected for an appetizer. Beyond the food, I was also impressed by the restaurant’s customer service. The staff was very attentive and even informed us ahead of time that the comfort rooms were out of order and that water might not be available. Despite the waiting time, we understood that good restaurants are often busy, so we remained patient. I also appreciated their smooth card payment process since I prefer cashless transactions. One thing I would like to point out is that perhaps, in the future, they could upgrade their space to accommodate more guests comfortably. The restaurant has an outdoor setting, and it feels like a small house that was recently converted into a dining establishment. I hope they continue to grow and expand, and I genuinely wish them success. Overall, I had a fantastic experience, and I will definitely return. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Siargao!

A Must-Try in Siargao, it is an absolute must-do for any food lover on the island. The food is simply incredible; their ceviche and kinilaw are packed with amazing flavor and fresh ingredients. A single order of each is more than enough for two people—it's the perfect, confident choice. The staff is super friendly, adding to the great experience. The only real drawback is how popular the place is. We had to wait for a table, and because the spot is small and the fans outside weren't very effective, it got pretty hot. But trust me, the food is worth the wait!

Came here after dinner for cocktails and it was a really beautiful place to chill at. One thing to note is that wifi is for in-house guests only but I guess disconnecting would help you completely unwind and enjoy the night breeze better.

To be honest, the place was beautiful and you can hear the ocean while eating but the food is not that good. Php 300 for a Spaghetti that’s very dull and the noodles were undercooked. Php 300 for a Chicken Sisig (Vegan) that was very spicy you can hardly taste the flavor. Perfect for chill nights or date nights. If you’re looking for good food, try something else first. Also, all dishes with Tuna was sold-out that night.

Best Cafe in Siargao. Great view, awesome food. Especially for vegetarians. But I am sure meatlovers won't be able to tell the difference Between their veg burger or chicken nuggets and real ones.

Went here for the happy hour, and I was pleasantly surprised. Really good vibes in this place although I could imagine less busy now compared to pre-COVID times. The maki was good. There were a lot of cocktails to choose from. The brownie for dessert was also good. I will be back for the view, the outstanding service, and to try the other food. Of course, the view is just spectacular !

Came for lunch here today and we ordered the shashuka and vegetarian BLT sandwich. The food tasted good, but in my opinion the price was too high for what you get and wasn’t completely filling. (235 pesos for the sandwich). Would recommend to use either good and fresh bread slices or a real baguette instead of the bun and add some more filling to the sandwich. Service and staff were very friendly and the ambiance of the place was also good.

We just had an afternoon meryenda here but was so happy about the food we ordered. We had the nachos (must have) and coffee. They were also kind enough to allow us to bring in outside food (from Isla Turon). The place has a chill vibe - from the interiors to the music. It was a perfect place to hang out.

If you’re going to Sibol Siargao I would highly recommend ordering the Poke bowl. This place also looks really lively at night as we walked past here a few times.

Sibol has decent poke, probably the best I found on the island. Ingredients were fresh and nicely presented. A little slow, but worth the wait.

We came here as the gelato across had some wiring problems, they recommended this spot. We enjoyed a delish breakfast and relaxing atmosphere to country music 😅 Meals were generous, they provided enough water and all additional spices we wanted. Had a double espresso, and this is an area they could improve as to offer just arabica beans, at this moment they have a blend of robusta which is not that good. Overall a great experience.

We first went at night around 10. They had a good band before 10. But when the next band came, which was 2 girls singing dead songs, almost everyone left. They were singing songs nobody knows. So it was bad timing for us then. Their tempo is so low, it’s like they want people to fall asleep. So they should actually think of changing the band schedule on this part. We ordered rumcoke for 100 pesos. But it wasn’t as expected. I don’t know, just tasted very different. Nachos were great. It was good for 5 people to share. Nothing to complain about that. Parking are just everywhere around. But they don’t really have a parking. Because they take the space beside the main road. The next day, we had brunch here. We waited almost 40 mins for sandwiches. I wonder why. Lol. Sadly, still wasn’t that good either. The price is quite expensive but I never really fancied the taste. Sorry, this is just me being fussy.

Great breakfast place with an assortment of options… be it your classing pancakes and bacon, fruit and fish bowls, as well as a very well trained staff and barista — which is important if you’re one of those people who need coffee to start your day. Not the cheapest option on the main area of GL in terms of coffee and bfast but surely worth the price! Best to go before 9ish to make sure the breakfast crowd and volume of diners do not slow down your orders! Recommended!

The space inside the comfort room is too small. Toilet won’t flush. Floor is flooded. DJ and music is good. Foam party is super good. Drinks are fine.

We went to Siargao Beach Club on a Sunday night. The DJs that played that night were honestly really good, we enjoyed their music a lot. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. For the price we paid, we expected more, but it didn’t feel worth it at all. I’d recommend just sticking to drinks instead of ordering food. As for the atmosphere, it wasn’t what we expected from a “club.” Nobody was really dancing or partying, so the vibe felt flat. Maybe it was just the wrong night to go, but overall, it didn’t leave us wanting to come back. The highlight of the night was definitely the DJs, but the food and vibe just didn’t deliver.

Been partying at El Lobo almost every night in Siargao. Always tipped the staff stupidly well, always brought good vibes. But apparently loyalty means nothing here. Walked in the other night and suddenly they’re charging an entrance fee — fine, whatever — but when we said no thanks, the security guard straight up called me a “curry pot.” Yeah. A racial slur. At a place we literally supported every damn night. That’s not “island vibes.” That’s straight-up disgusting. To top it off, the DJ plays the same recycled playlist every single night. Like they hit “repeat” on Spotify and walked away. El Lobo went from one of my favorite spots to an absolute joke. Trash music, trash attitude, and apparently trash morals too. You can keep your entrance fee, your boring beats, and your racist staff. There are plenty of other places on Siargao that actually respect their guests.

Other reviews said it was loud but I still wasn't prepared for it to be THAT loud, haha. The vibe is fun though, and the cocktails we tried were pretty yummy. Food was filling and serviceable but not a main draw of the place at all. We went on a very rainy Wednesday night and it got packed from 10pm onwards. All of the other customers were really nice and we had a blast dancing with them for a few hours.

There was pure disrimination and disrespect against foreigners. We danced a lot there and consumed a lot and suddenly we got trown out (everybody was cheering us up so it was clearly the crew) WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! NOT worth your money!!! Even if you’re friendly the crew will be really rude and only let locals in the club for no reason

Great party place in General Luna. Though they closes at 12midnight (which is quite early compare to Manila) but we still had fun. Met some new friends on the dance floor and nice music.

Great food for decent prices. We had the “small” squid which was still a very big portion and extremely tasty. The tuna belly was also very good and super fresh. The eggplant tasted fresh and was well marinated. Overall great experience with fair prices. Would definitely come back.

Mamas grill one of my best choice restaurants in siargao ‘ they offer some kind of seafood to grill ‘ they have some other foods also like pork ,fish , beef , either grilled or soup style ‘ We ordered grilled pork BbQ and Lapu lapu ‘ the taste was yummy 😋 perfect combo for me ‘they offer drinks too ,beers ,juices and shakes ‘. The place is good for groups of people ‘ families’ friends ‘ very spacious place. They located along tourism road in general Luna ‘ Highly recommended ‘

Underwhelming. A lot of resources online will say this is a great place for food, we just didn't experience it. The kilawin was served warm and the fish was really broken up, making me question the freshness. The barbecue dishes tasted ok, but again, they weren't hot at all when they arrived at our table. The lobster was especially a rip off. Barely any meat on them. Basically paid the equivalent of 1000 pesos for 4 pieces of shrimp sized lobster meat. Their sauce really just drowned all the natural flavors of each dish.

Waiting time is a bit long especially at night but if you have time to spare, it is totally worth it. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the island. My tip: Skip the squid and tuna kebab order the other meats and fish. The chorizo and pork bbqs are really good.

Checked out mama’s grills due to the high reviews and it matched up to the hype. We ordered the chicken kebab, squid, garlic shrimp, eggplant veggies and pompano. They were all delicious. It’s not a fancy restaurant, it’s like a neighbourhood grill area. So the atmosphere feels very nostalgic for me, but I will say the price is a bit higher than I expected. Regardless, still delicious.

The food is good…it’s just bad I choose mix sauce for my order..the service is alright considering the time we went there. Atmosphere is good..add more electric fans maybe…they are just along road so it’s easy to locate..over all I can recommend it.

Best barbecue in town Ive tried!!! Sweet and spicy sauce is really good and kuyas are really friendly 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 There are sweet stray dogs in the restaurant! Make sure to spend a little time with them or give them food if you guys can ☺️

Wow, what an experience staying in this hostel. The staff are all amazing people, professional and on top of everything they know how to have fun to make the overall experience that much better. I stayed here for two weeks from mid July to the end of the month. The best part I would say is meeting other tourists and making new friends. Also, there are two Canadian ladies working as reps, I must say they were always friendly, always happy to answer any questions and knew all the spots to party and sight see. I would definitely go back in the future!

I stayed for one night as I wanted to be around General Luna before leaving Siargao. The property is just a short walk to Cloud 9 and has a nice bar, restaurant, and a small pool. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable—though in the ladies’ dorm (6 beds), it felt like the beds moved whenever someone opened or closed the door. AC works well, and I appreciated that my bed came with two pillows (not sure if that was intentional, but a nice touch). Lockers are spacious, but you need to bring your own lock. There are enough toilets and showers, with hot water available, but no toiletries or towels provided. Outdoors can get quite buggy, so bring mosquito spray. The guests are mostly young and foreign, and I noticed the restaurant staff seemed to pay more attention to foreigners—something not unusual in the Philippines. Check-in was a breeze, and the reception staff were warm and accommodating. The restaurant offers plenty of food and drinks at reasonable prices, and the quality was quite good. They also host activities to encourage socializing—during my stay, there was a bingo night. It looked fun, though the host’s exaggerated British accent came off more annoying than entertaining. Overall, I’d recommend Mad Monkey to travelers looking for a lively, social, party vibe—but not to those seeking peace and quiet.

I stayed here for little less than a week and had a great time! Heaps of backpackers from all over the world, great socials and service from all the staff. Special shoutout to Katie and Cam who were super welcoming from the start and always made an effort to have a chat and have a good time! They were such good fun and definitely made the goodbye a little tougher!

I felt very comfortable at the Mad Monkey Hostel in Siargao and was greeted very warmly by Nica and Lala at the reception desk. I first walked through the common lounge area with a bar before arriving at the reception desk. Everything was beautifully designed and decorated, and the sand floor also gave me a very cozy feeling. Upon my arrival, the lovely and warm-hearted Nica and Lala explained everything to me wonderfully and showed me to my room. I arrived a little earlier than expected and was even able to check in early. I thought that was so thoughtful of them. We had a nice chat and connected, and I immediately felt so welcome. They even helped me carry my luggage. John at the bar was also so nice and cool. We always had great chats and he gave me great surfing tips on where to go surfing as a beginner. The hostel is close to Cloud 9 and Jacking Horse beaches, where you can go surfing. Everything is very easy to reach by tricycle or on foot. The rooms were nice and tidy and clean, and I slept well at night. 😌😌👌💖🫶 The bathrooms were perfectly fine and adequate for me. I never had to wait and could always relax and take a cold or warm shower in the morning. If you're squeamish about wet stone floors, you're welcome to wear bathing shoes. I didn't mind. 👌😌🙏 I felt right at home in this hostel community 💖🫶😃, both with the guests and the great and helpful Mad Monkey Hostel team = 💖💖💖. I met lots of great people and made friends. I am very grateful for that. It's a place where people come together, where you meet new people every day, have wonderful, funny, and also deep conversations, and can party at the bar in the evenings with beer pong, etc. There's an activity you can participate in every day. 🤗🤗🫶🎉 I thought it was great. If you're looking for a little paradise with a warm, funny, and wonderful community on this amazing island, I can highly recommend the Mad Monkey Hostel. 🫶🌸🌴☀️✨️

I stayed here while on vacation traveling through the Philippines. The rooms are actually very nice for the price and the atmosphere is amazing. You get a free drink when you check in, there’s a pool, and they have a block of about 20 bathrooms so you’re never waiting. The party boat cruise is a MUST. Jovan is the man! He was the best guide! And the home we did was epic! Here’s a picture from the party boat and one from the hike. I was traveling solo but Mad Monkey made it so easy to meet new friends.

5***** for EDWIN (bar staff) & JANE (reception / front of house), amazing workers, staff & vibes. Unfortunately most of the area smelt of sewage & the water didn't work for 1 of the nights. I’d recommend Rucksack Inn Siargao over Mad Monkey Siargao. But EDWIN & JANE 🐐 ❤️ Jane paid 100PHP of her own money to load up my Sim card for Data for 1 week. (Ofc paid her back, but very nice gesture).

Its a really nice place to meet people ! I you like to party, they have a free shuttle the night which can bring you to the best places to dance. I met a lot of friends, and drunk the strongest rhum coke prepared by Edwin and Alwin the best barmen from far

This is my second time at this restaurant, and the experience was completely different in the best way. Our server, RJ, was incredibly attentive. Even though we took a long time to decide, she patiently gave us suggestions and stayed nearby without rushing us. She also helped us take some great photos from all kinds of angles. I absolutely adore her.

Wild Siargao has a great vibe with good music, friendly staff, and delicious food. The Adobo Bao Buns and Octopus Carpaccio are a must try. Raffy provided excellent service, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a place to visit when in Siargao.

The food is delicious, and the plating is impressive. I especially loved the Kare-Kare. The staff were friendly and accommodating, although our drinks took quite a while to arrive and I think they should be served first. (I only ordered Calamansi juice, by the way.) The place itself is lovely. I like how private it feels, with tables spaced comfortably apart. It’s also quiet, making it a great spot for a date or a nice conversation. My only concern is that the rice is a bit overpriced. I would’ve ordered more since the food was really good.

Just now we done our dinner in wild Siargao, we love to eat our order and a very accommodated staff who serve us is no ther than Raffy. Raffy always follow up our order and filled our glass of service water. My tummy so full especially the dessert they offer to us.Good job Wild Siargao team

Was recommended the porchetta kare kare, wild octopus carpaccio, and a feta & pumpkin salad. The porchetta was delicious! Crispy and moist, didnt feel fatty at all. But the dish didnt taste like kare kare at all. It was definitely missing the salty peanut-y taste. Rather bland unfortunately and regrettably veered too far away from the familiar kare kare taste. Wild octopus carpaccio was ok. Had a hint of citrus flavor on thinly sliced octopus with a small serving of upland kangkong greens. A tasty piece of krupuk to add a crispy bite. The feta pumpkin with kale salad was a miss for me. The finely chopped greens overpowered the flavors and the serving of kalabasa pumpkin consisted of a few thin strips. Felt like eating grass with blocks of feta cheese. Maybe a good Frisée or Crystal lettuce would've done well here, but maybe they dont have a good lettuce supplier in the area.

From the moment you walk in, staff are friendly and welcoming. The choices on the menu are extensive and varied. We choose the Porchetta dish, to which all I can say, was the best tasting pork I have had in the Philippines. The flavour was clean and the crackling was perfect. Would recommend to anyone to visit and enjoy the food and service

I’ve been to Cloud 9 a few times now, and while it still holds that iconic charm, I have to admit it felt a little different this time around. Maybe it’s me, or maybe it’s the changes that naturally come with time and tourism, but it didn’t quite hit the same way as my first or second visit. The boardwalk and surf scene are still great to see—especially for first-timers or anyone wanting that classic Siargao photo. The waves are still rolling in beautifully, and the place is alive with people chasing that perfect ride. But personally, it didn’t feel as special or raw as it used to. Still, it’s a fine place to drop by, chill for a bit, watch the surfers, and soak in the view. If it’s your first time in Siargao, it’s still definitely worth the visit. Just manage expectations if you’ve been before.

Vibrant Surf Vibes and Breathtaking Ocean Views at Cloud 9! 🌅 Cloud 9 Surfing Area is truly one of the most beautiful and popular surfing spots in the Philippines. The beach itself offers a fantastic entry point for surfers of all levels. At the end of the pier, there’s a scenic observation platform where you can watch surfers in action while enjoying breathtaking sunrises over the beginning Pacific Ocean and sunsets over the Siargao Island. Access to the beach area costs 100 PHP per day at two entrance points, which is absolutely worth it for the experience and maintenance of the spot (I‘ve been here twice). You can park directly at the entrance, though the parking area can get quite crowded, especially with many scooters. Despite being the busiest surf spot in the country, the crowd never feels overwhelming, and the atmosphere remains relaxed and welcoming. For those who don’t have their own gear, surfboards can be rented right at the entrance, and professional coaches are available to help beginners to improve their skills. Whether you’re a surfer or just want to soak up the incredible views and vibrant surf culture, Cloud 9 is a must-visit destination on Siargao Island.

I didn’t surf myself in Siargao, but Cloud 9 is a great place to visit. The viewing bridge offers an awesome spot to watch the surfers, and the beach is beautiful with palm trees and a laid-back vibe. In the morning during low tide, we saw local children joyfully jumping into the water from the bridge—it was a lovely, lively scene. Overall, a very nice and memorable place to spend time, even if you're just soaking it all in.

It’s a perfect spot to surf and unwind. The entrance fee is ₱100 per person. If you’d like to learn how to surf, it costs ₱600, which already includes the surfboard and an instructor for an hour but if you just want to rent the surfboard for pics or if you already know how to surf then you will only have to pay 200 per hour. They also offer locker rentals for ₱100 with unlimited hour and just an in-and-out access, so you can safely store your belongings while you enjoy.

One of the best places we have visited in Siargao! Our 5-year-old son really enjoyed paddling and surfing on the beach (he didn't really surf) and that was the highlight of the visit ☺️ we got to see a lot of fishes and shrimps along the shore. For us DIYers, food sold in the area was expensive but if you can afford then why not? ☺️ The area was also clean and well-maintained. I'd say the 100-peso entrance was worth it although at first I thought it was too expensive.

Wonderful surfing spot for beginners and advanced surfers alike. There is always somebody ul in willing to teach surfing at reasonable prices and it is stunningly beautiful in this part of Siargao. Highly recommended!

I finally got to experience what everyone has been raving about—the Cloud Nine sunset. We visited during low tide, as we planned to take pictures of the sunset, and it was truly breathtaking. Although the area was crowded, it was expected, and I didn’t mind at all. The shoreline, dotted with coconut trees, added to the serene and relaxing ambiance of the place. There is a bar called Loca that serves drinks and conveniently offers cashless transactions. We enjoyed beer and liquor while waiting for the sunset, making the experience even more enjoyable. The area is also popular among foreigners, and there are plenty of surf lessons available for those looking to try their hand at riding the waves. If you look further across the sea, you'll see a lot of people surfing, which adds to the vibrant atmosphere. The entrance fee to Cloud Nine is 100 pesos, a fee regulated by the local government unit. I was impressed that they issue official receipts, ensuring that payments are properly tracked and managed. It’s great to see local authorities maintaining transparency in managing the site. One thing to be cautious about, however, is transportation. Some tricycle drivers may overcharge visitors, so if you’re traveling from General Luna to Cloud Nine, the fare should be around 50 pesos as of now. To avoid being overcharged, it’s best to catch a passing tricycle rather than an empty one, as the latter often asks for a higher rate. Overall, the Cloud Nine experience lived up to its hype, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Siargao. The stunning sunset, lively atmosphere, and great amenities make it a must-visit destination.

Nice restaurant and friendly staff. Had the Beef Birria Burrito and the Nachos. Everything tasted very good. The only reason I'm giving it 4/5 is because most of the vegetarian options are vegan (so no cheese, sour cream etc.). Also my burrito was a bit rice heavy.

Got a special 2 free tacos deal for one cocktail and all were delicious. Their watermelon cocktail was tasty and gave me a good buzz. Loved the cultural atmosphere and vibe. Also, they have the shiniest utensils on planet earth.

I probably went here way too many times but I loved this place. The place has the best Mexican vibe, the service was awesome and the food was really tasty. One of my favourite starters was the habanero wings, while they were quite oily, it actually made the dish for me as the chicken was crispy but tender. Tacos were well cooked and seasoned with a good mixture of sauces to add more taste if needed. Also had the pork Burrito one night which was filling and flavoursome. Definitely recommend if you are looking for an alternative cuisine on the island.

One of the best if not the best restaurant in Siargao. The flavor of the food was incredible and the cocktails were a great pairing as well. The only issue was that they forgot to tell us that the last order was at 8:30pm and we missed out on the churros.

The ambience and the band are ok. The crowd are quite bored with the band since it's a reggae night. Nevertheless, the drinks compensate it, a bit affordable and taste great.

Music is good! (Spotify premium siguro gamit haha) but I think the drinks were expensive. Mojitos Gold Tequila was priced 1000 pesos. Yet, it was fun going there!

The place is a little bit far away from town center... Need to ride a public tricycle worth Php 50.00 per person The entrance is worth Php 60.00 with 01 consumable drinks (I ordered Sprite) We ordered french fries worth Php 150.00 (which I guess it is $$$) The place is not quite beautiful, I thought it is classy bar and club Love the music, electro beat and club beat; the mediocre DJ's are from western countries which is quite impressive. The hard and soft drinks are not quite expensive but affordable Most of the people will come around 1:00 AM By the way, they are security guards and police which I feel I and my friends are safe.

This place is always packed, we recommend reserving a table few hours before coming. Everything we ordered tasted great but took a while (they served everything at the same time for some reason, so most items came a bit cold). Overall a pleasant experience since every item was v tasty.

The food is good, but the serving size is a bit small for me. The service, however, is excellent! The staff are attentive and always refill your water without you having to ask. There are enough servers, and the food comes out quickly too.

Incredible restaurant, perhaps our favourite meal in the Philippines. The restaurant has a great, warm atmosphere and incredible service. We tried olives, peppers, fish tacos, a baked fish in garlic- highly recommend this dish it’s incredible. The tacos also perfect with great salsa! Lovely wine, sangria and vermouth too! You’d be missing out if you didn’t visit this restaurant! It’s a good price for the quality of food!

Absolutely delicious and very filling. The pulpo was super tender, gambas and chorizo were delicious. Loved everything we ordered.

I cannot stress enough how this was the perfect restaurant to cap off our last night in Siargao. Loved everything from the food to the service! Our server was a guy with a shaved head but dyed hair (shame we didn’t get to ask for his name) but his recommendations were spot on and he seemed like really wanted us to have the best experience. I wouldn’t say that the place was exceptional, but it was such a pleasant surprise to dine in an authentic spanish restaurant on an island. Highly recommend: sangria, the braised meat, and the tacos ❤️

All the staff I spoke with were very friendly, answered all my questions, and checked on me periodically to ensure I was enjoyingmy meal. I went there for dinner last night and ordered the pork carnitas tacos. The had approximately 10 other customers when I arrived and table reserved for more. Definitely a popular restaurant. I did enjoy my tacos. Meal total was 389php. I would eat there again.

Spent 3 days in beautiful Siargao and spent 3 nights at the Offshore bar and had wonderful time, staff was amazing and the clientele were friendly. Look forward to seeing all of you again. Rooms are nice, stuff is friendly and the beach is 500m away and to cloud 9 it takes just 3 minutes by scooter.

Best bar in General Luna..best host also Budotz..the bar owner himself knows how to entertain their customer..also you should try the 10 shots in 10 minutes challenge..worth every penny

Great staff, gave good recommendations. My husband tried the stinger and the siargao sour because he prefers gin but for both, he didn’t like the aftertaste. Staff recommended to try the penicillin with gin instead of whiskey and he did like that one. He also liked the baby squid, I preferred the shrimp popcorn. Goes well with the Paloma which I loved and had two rounds of. We both loved the fried ice cream.

Fantastic cocktails, but the food is just as impressive! Great atmosphere and excellent service—highly recommend! The coconut ice cream with latik is a must try!

A truly exceptional evening out in Siargao. Attentive, knowledgeable staff and delicious list of cocktails and food. We came back twice, alongside also visiting their sister bar Paraluman ( also a must do ). If you are by yourself or as a couple, recommend a bar seat and watch the magic happen. Cheers

This bar is top notch: super friendly staff ( shoutout to Jezz ), unique and affordable cocktails, and a cool speakeasy bar setting. The menu comes on a traditional Filipino fan and allows customers to pick their drinks while reading about their history! Highly recommend this place in General Luna for after dinner!

Good cocktails and appetizers. Various sitting environments and atmosphere. Service is super responsive and helpful. Definitely stand out here in Siargau in the cocktail level. The only reason I think it's a 4, is the value for money. Prices are quite high, no medium range drinks alternatives, the drink can be bigger. Basically, getting tipsy here is quite expensive in local terms. If the owner is seeing this - the toilet sink is quite annoying, both in size and positioning.

This is definitely the best bar I've ever visited! The menu is developed with attention to every detail, huge choice, you can choose a cocktail depended how strong/not strong/sweet/sour you want. Cocktails just amazing: absolutely new and interesting tastes, I loved. As for me, I loved Penicillin the most :) Food was amazing! We enjoyed baby-squid and shripms pop-corn and these snacks are just perfect snacks for cocktails All stuff is perfectly English-speaking, always ready to help, they refill water in our glasses all the time. Extremely fabulous Filipino food, great atmosphere and drinks. Food safety is guaranteed — we ate here several times and even had drinks with ice without any issues.

Their food is so good; the flavor plays around your mouth each bite. This modern asian restaurant focuses on quality, I was able to taste their chicken, pork and shrimp! The spicyness of the shrimp is so good I even finished the sauce with the rice. Their cabbage appetizer is also interesting, you have to order it! I think their cocktails are good too I wasn’t able to try it though. But I heard they host good parties too!

Visited on Monday night. The food was pretty good, unfortunately (like almost anywhere), the appetizer arrived together with the main dishes. You have to order mains after appetizer if you want to avoid this. Portions were on the smaller side. They have a DJ on Mondays who played nice music - but for some sad reason we were the only guests for the whole period between 18:30-20:15 we were there, which makes for a strange atmosphere :( There’s also a happy hour 2 for 1 before 19:00, and their cocktail (a sort of white Negroni) was quite alright.

This place is honestly one of the nicest restaurants we’ve ever eaten in. Service was great, staff are so quick and attentive. The food was so tasty. We ordered lots of things off the menu between a few of us and one dish was as tasty as the next. The cocktails are also yummy, lots of fresh new flavours. Tunes and vibes are spot on, super funky. This is a must if you’re in Siargao, will be back

Upon visiting Barbosa, I couldn't help but appreciate the inviting ambiance of the place, which certainly added to the overall experience. The establishment exudes a delightful atmosphere that undoubtedly enhances the overall dining experience. However, when it came to the food, I found the flavors to be rather discordant, almost as if they were conflicting with each other inside my mouth. This resulted in a less than satisfying culinary experience. They also had limited food options available, which left me hoping for a more varied and enticing menu. Despite these shortcomings, I do believe that with some improvements in the culinary department, Barbosa has the potential to become a more appealing dining destination.

10/10! We tried some of their highly recommended dishes: Green Beans for appetizer and then Shrimp and Pork for mains. Everything is sooo good! For drinks, try their Elsewhere cocktail if you’re into something refreshing. PLUS the ambience is so nice!

Everything is delectable. The banana peanut shake and peanut cookie was heavenly, supposedly was for take away but it was very tempting and couldn't wait to taste them. The chicken was the highlight.

During their Saturday Chill and Grill, we ordered a grilled burger and the great thing is they have a happy hour. The staff were super friendly and the managers also interacted with the guests which is nice. Kudos to all the Happiness Team especially Enya and Rica the manager on duty at that time.

The food and the cocktail drinks are really good. They have different activities set on some nights so it’s fun. The staff are also great!

I had such a great experience here! The food was delicious, but what really stood out was the staff. They were incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. I made a couple of unusual requests, and they accommodated everything with patience and a smile—never once making me feel like I was asking too much. They’re approachable, attentive, and genuinely seem to care about making sure guests are comfortable. Service like this makes such a difference—can’t recommend them enough! Had to get fita again there are fillings that we honestly didn’t like. Friendly staffs didnt had an ig photo ops hehe sayang should have para may laban sana un rate sa food.

New update: I came again especially and there was another cook who behaved not so nicely and did not agree in any way to listen and prepare the dish, I tried to explain to him that with the last one there was no problem in changing the dish and he was not ready to listen, I understand that you can change policy and not change dishes but he was Could be nicer and more welcoming I had an amazing meal, one of the best I had on the island, I ordered a pumpkin stew with coconut cream which is usually served with eggplant but the staff readily agreed to change it to schnitzel (fried chicken). Very tasty and the staff were very nice

I’ve been to The Cat & Gun a few times, and I’m mostly happy with the food and service. Their bagels and breakfast are tasty, and the iced latte is good too. When I first visited, they only had bagels, which was a bit disappointing. But now they’ve added more options, including vegetarian dishes, which is great. However, there are some things they should improve. The cleanliness of the place needs attention. Our table had a lot of small insects, including very small cockroaches and some biting insects I couldn’t identify. This was unpleasant. Also, there’s no air conditioning, so it can get quite hot, and there are no power outlets, which makes it unsuitable for working. They could also focus more on offering healthier food options. Some dishes feel a bit heavy, and adding more light, nutritious meals could be a great improvement. The menu can also be confusing. For example, the "Balls Out Brekkie" is listed under the Bagels section, so it’s easy to miss. I recommend reading the whole menu to see all the options. Overall, the food is good, but they need to work on cleanliness, comfort, and adding healthier options to make it a better experience.

Amazing food, service was great. Went by myself and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Would definitely go again if I come back to Siargao one day

One of my favorite restaurants in General Luna/Cloud 9 area. Went probably 5 times: had the chicken gyros; falafel; coffees; pork sliders; meatball sliders; & the mcbagel. I think the sliders are some of the best bang for your buck. Super filling and really delish. Would highly recommend. Only improvement would be air flow, it gets a bit stuffy and very hot

Best food on the island, good quantity of food and the best iced latte in Philippines. This is some of the few places in Siargao where the locals seem happy to see you. We kept coming back because the food and value was so good!

Though the place looks nice, has good vibe and the staff is sweet, I would not recommend to eat here. The coffee is good, but the bagels are as small as the palm of your hand for 300p and not as tasty as we would have thought.

Their latte was delicious and so was the bacon and egg bagel! The bagel is small but full of flavor and the bun is so soft!

Probably my favorite place on the island. Great food, great service, great vibes— there’s literally nothing I can say bad about it. Everyone that works there is friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, the restaurant is comfortable and spacious, and the prices are reasonable. This place really made my time in Siargao better.

We tried the chicken, scallops, and poke—all served hot and flavorful. While everything tasted good, the dishes lacked a distinct or memorable touch that would set them apart. The service was quick, and while the staff were friendly, they weren’t particularly accommodating when we first got there. One downside to note: there’s no mobile signal for Globe users, which can be a bit inconvenient if you need to stay connected. Overall, it’s a decent place with good food and fast service, but there's room for improvement in both the menu creativity and customer experience.

First restaurant to dine in to on our trip and it did not disappoint. The vibe and the food were on point. The fried garlic chicken is the bomb! One of the best fried chicken I’ve ever tasted! Sizzling sisig, beef kalbi and the baked scallops were all complimentary. The staff were very helpful. It was a scrumptious welcoming feast! I love Siargao. ❤️

American tourist restaurant review: Came here for dinner and we were the only ones there but that didn't discourage us because it was amazing! The three best sellers were all amazing dishes, especially the scallops. They have clean bathrooms, wiif, great service, and lots of fans everywhere so you can cool off. The food came out so fast too so we were delighted.

Garlic fried chicken- I love the crispy chicken skin! Spicy Ahi - spicy tuna tartare! Good but not wow! Veggie Lumpia - on the saltier side Baked scallops - this is the best dish for me! Maui Beef Kalbi- it’s okay but not wow as well.

Went here with friends. We got the sisig, scallops, and the salmon poke. They were so good. Much recommended. Can't wait to come back and eat the poke again.

Took 2 hours to cook 2 ordinary bbq with rice not worth it, bad service servers intentionally ignores you, server forgot to tell the cook some of the menu we ordered so we need to wait another 30 mins. The atmosphere is good because of the singers I'm suppose to give 3 stars for atmosphere but I don't the the bar deserves it.

Don’t bother going here for the craft beer. It’s a scam!! I ordered a float of 4 and got two of what I ordered, and they wanted to charge me the full price for the four. Manager was oissed off and rude when at the end I said I ain’t paying for the four! Outside of that it’s not a bad place.

Great spot for a drink, fruit shake or a cocktail and really cheap! They also made me a vegetarian sandwich even though it wasn’t on the menu. The owners are very friendly and at night there is usually also some music playing.

Just ordered their lemon juice to quench our thirst and it was good. Not sweetened, it was just the lemon + water. I believe their best seller is mango vodka.

These sandwiches are where it’s at, and probably the best bargain on the island sandwich wise. Super friendly service that can also make a mean Mango and Rum cocktail. Brow, you are loved.
