We have been through quite some restaurants in both Malta and Gozo, but we have to say this one beats them all. The quality and efficiency of the service is superb, the waiters were so welcoming and helpful, and their service was really great. The food was super divine, very good quality servings including taste and presentation. The ambience has magnificent views, the live romantic music added a touch of magic and overall it was a memorable night. Definitely a huge recommendation for those visiting the first time, and surely for us this wont be the last. We will come here again to fine for sure. Feedback from two very demanding but extremely happy customers. Keep up the good service and the value for money. Well done!

This lovely restaurant overlooking the bay is a must! A little above the average prices but it's a great quality place with awesome food and fantastic staff. The day we went Malta's 2024 Eurovision representative was singing. Four starters, there was some complimentary nibbles first, four mains, two desserts, several glasses of wine and beers, all amazing. I had the trio of sausages starter, amazing and the lamb shank, very very good, but quite a lot of meat be warned! Reservations are essential!

I had a fantastic experience at Country Terrace Restaurant! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with stunning views that make the setting even more special. I ordered the ribeye steak, and it was cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The restaurant also has an impressive selection of wines, making it easy to find the perfect pairing for the meal. The service was attentive and friendly throughout, adding to an already memorable dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, excellent wine, and a relaxing atmosphere.

Our first meal on Gozo was a bit of a mixed experience. The main waiter (maybe owner) was absolutely lovely — attentive, warm, and professional — but some of the other staff seemed a little less confident, which led to a few small mix-ups with service and timing. The food itself was okay; some of our group enjoyed their dishes, while others found theirs just average. Nothing bad, just not particularly memorable. That said, the atmosphere was lovely and the restaurant itself has a great feel — perhaps we just caught it on an off night.

Just Wow! This is one of the most lovely restaurants we’ve been to in a while. The setting is gorgeous overlooking Mgarr bay. The staff are amazing and very attentive. The food was outstanding- we had Octopus and Scallop pasta as a starter to share (what we loved was that they actually brought us 2 small dishes each) rather than us just sharing the one. We also had complimentary bruschetta mozzarella on the side. Main course was also fantastic (Duck with potatoes veg and Madeira sauce) and a prawn bisque Risotto. Wine and other drinks were reasonably priced too. Absolutely 1st class meal and we will definitely return if in Gozo again. Thank you!

I spent a pleasant evening with my family. The waiters were very kind and helpful. The food was good on the whole, however my chicken was a bit too dry for the price I had to pay for it. And there we were a group of 10 and we had to wait around a hour for the food. There were a lot of us, but on the flip side, one hour is quite a lot.

What a lovely place. Random person in town recommended and I'm glad we have decided to go there. Highly quality food and service in their best. Mussels as a starter and scallops filled ravioli were to die for. We were table of 12 but that didn't make any difference in waiting time. Food showed up super quick. Baked Alaska was just gorgeous.

Absolutely loved the experience here! We had a reservation and got a beautiful table by the sea, the ambiance was perfect. The spaghetti with lobster was amazing, and the seafood platter was super fresh and full of flavor. Service was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Solo diners avoid! I made a reservation for dinner for one, as the place had been recommended by friends, and asked for a table by the shore front on the terrace. When I arrived, the terrace by the shore was mainly empty. Paul (I asked other waiting staff for his name for reasons explained below), the manager / maitre d, gave me the option of either the table exactly by the entrance to the terrace, or on the other side of the street even further away from the shore (where no one was sitting) despite my clear displeasure at this. Frustratingly couples & even other solo diners who came in as walk-ins after me without a reservation (I know they didn't have a reservation because I was close enough to the entrance to hear all of the walk-in requests!) were given a better table; less in the way & closer to the shore. Looking back at previous reviews, it seems that other diners have had similar unpleasant experiences with seating arrangements, where they have also been made to feel unwelcome. The reply by the establishment for these reviews was to book in advance. In my case, I had done exactly that and was still made to feel unwelcome. The only reason I persisted rather than leave at that point was because the place had been recommended by friends. I ordered a bottle of water, a glass of wine, and the main course portion of the linguine kartell. I did not order a starter or anything else as I was still unconvinced as to the hospitality of the place after my earlier encounter. Paul took the order. Regrettably, the service experience did not get better, and the wine was not served despite the straightforward order. When the linguine came, I asked for an update on the wine. They brought out a different wine to the one I ordered. Clearly, the manager was not on top of his game and had not even registered the wine order. Other staff asked about my experience after the linguine was served & I made amply clear my displeasure in view of the above wine issue. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, at no point did Paul approach me to attempt to explain or apologise about the situation. The experience put me off ordering any further items; I would generally also have had dessert and a coffee. The rest of the waiting staff were very nice and accommodating. The linguine dish itself was of good quality and had a good amount of seafood. That said, the surrounding restaurants offer an equal level of cuisine, and my service experience when I visited these other establishments had been far superior. My advice; solo travellers definitely avoid, and for the rest, be prepared to have a service experience depending on the whims of the manager. My advice to the restaurant owner: change manager / maitre d or re-train him in basic hospitality and etiquette, as he is letting down your establishment. In reply to Diane below: Are you suggesting that solo guests should be arguing with your maitre d to get a better table, or else be relegated to the worst table possible, with even walk-ins getting a better table?! It definitely does not make for a relaxing dining experience. Interestingly in your reply Diane you did not address the wine issue. In high standard establishment, when there is a genuine concern, the manager comes to apologise about it. This did not happen, and there was not even a hint of an apology from your end. Instead you conveniently ignored the comment and told me off despite the heartfelt and fair review. Regretfully my service experience ruined my evening and the food and atmosphere could not be enjoyed. If you cannot comprehend this, it seems there are bigger issues here. Thank you Diane. Your imperious reply, labelling a genuine and fair review 'void and time wasting', confirms how you feel about your guests. We will let the readers decide for themselves.

Come for the view but don't expect too much from the the food The pros : beautiful location on the water, food well presented. Grilled calamari was good The cons : taste is ok, but nothing extraordinary. Prices were on the high side, particularly the seafood

Cozy bar in lively Mgarr harbour. Very close to arrival/departure area so ideal for short refreshment. The added value of this place is the terrace with spectacular view on the harbour and all the boats. It seems that this terrace is freely accessible and it is also nice place for taking the pictures.

Perfect bar overlooking the harbor. Arrived around 7:30pm and it was not too crowded. It's not a huge establishment. IMO it is best suited for small groups.

By far our favourite restaurant in Gozo after trying several others on the island. We came back for a second visit to end our trip on a high note — and they did not disappoint. The staff were attentive and welcoming, the surroundings and views were beautiful, and the food and drinks were absolutely impeccable. Everything we tried was fresh and full of flavour, but the standout dishes for me were the tartar starter, octopus main and the pistachio ice cream. A truly wonderful dining experience — 5/5.

We chartered a boat and decided to do lunch in Gozo. one80 was great. Such a picturesque spot. Wait staff were really nice and the food and wine was outstanding. Seafood tower was good and my medium rare steak was cooked perfectly. Prices are reasonable too for the location.

Visited for the plant-based menu and was super satisfied! It’s great to have creative and unique vegan meal ideas for once. We had the pea and lime risotto and the vegan burger. Everything was delicious. Only comments for improvement are: I would have liked a little more lime flavour in the risotto, and the price of the water was too high. 5 euro for a still water. But everything else was perfect. Will be back 👌🏽

And the remaining food you were talking about trying to make a scene out of it with your comment its because we know that you will throw it in the TRASH after we leave and that’s why we took it cuz it’s not kind of our behavior throwing food in the trash 😊 and you can find it in front of your side walk next to your restaurant and CCTV cameras will confirm Your behavior did show my honest review and your rude behavior did confirm our reflection. And everyone did read your behavior with all honesty reviews and responses you did. YOU ARE SO AGGRESSIVE WITH NEGATIVITY ATTITUDE WITH EVERYONE. I do recommend you to get more training and train yourself how to be professional and productive with customers. My previous review before the rude response from the managing director in rude comments in GOOGLE responded. Average in all aspects of a restaurant. Kind good of variety of what they have. So amazing. The best food we’ve eaten in Gozo so far - pricey, but worth it as a treat. The freshness of the ingredients makes each dish taste very special, moreish and healthy! I had the plant-based risotto which was stunning and full of greens, the raw cheesecake which was simply put: perfect. The non-alcoholic cocktails are also beautiful 😍 Can highly recommend!

The fish was made perfectly and they had very good options for people that don't drink alcohol. It is also very pleasent if you go at sunset because they have a terrace right on the water's edge.

It was my first time at One80, and I can honestly say I completely agree with everything my girlfriend has always told me about this place, it really is that good. The service stood out right away. Vina looked after us and was absolutely brilliant, attentive without ever being overbearing, and always making sure we had what we needed. The food was exceptional from start to finish. We shared carpaccio and calamari to begin, both incredibly fresh and full of flavour. For our main, we went with the lobster linguine, which was not only delicious but also the perfect portion to share. For dessert I went for the date fritter, and it was amazing. My girlfriend ordered the crème brûlée martini that was every bit as good as it sounds. The drinks list is another highlight, with a great range of wines and cocktails, complete with pairing notes that make choosing really easy. And of course, the setting couldn’t be better. Sitting by the harbour in the evening really elevates the whole experience. For a first visit, I couldn’t have asked for more. Everything, the food, the service, the atmosphere, was spot on, and I’m already looking forward to coming back.

One of the best dining experiences we have had. A sharing tasting menu, something we have never seen before. We chose 7/9 dishes to be fish and every dish had completely different elements and were perfectly executed. The modern techniques and refined flavours reflect both the chefs current success and bright future he is destined to achieve.

The best, epitome of Malta visit. This was by far the best experience I had in my trip to Malta. Location is in Gozo island and there is only 1 franchise restaurant of this in Gozo, at the moment. We tried the tasting dish, as you are served different dishes to try out for yourselr and your partner. And it is said that both of you must like the same dish, which makes it extra fun. The tasting dish is served in 3 choices, 7 dishes, 9 dishes or 12 dishes. We went for the 9 dishes and I highly recommend it for you will feel the satisfaction. We chose 7 dishes from the menu, and each dishes were tantalisly delicious. They had unique blend of taste and fusion. For the remaining 2 choices, we went for desserts. And the apple tart with ice cream was delicious. Remember this is not just a regular restaurant, but this is a Michelin star restaurant. We managed to even speak with the head chef Paul, who was lovely, without him I wonder how the restaurant would thrive. Before the tasting meal begins, you are given a complimentary starter as appetiser. Water is not free here, you are encouraged to drink something. Staffs were very nice, they made sure your empty plates are cleared immediately, they attended to us ensuring if we were ok. I am not sure about the dress code, of course you will see smartly dressed people here, but it can't be helped if you had to come in shorts. This is a holiday trip after all. We came at night time around 8:30pm, though the outside seating was busy, the inside however was not. One toilet each for Men and Women, however there are waiting seats provided. If you have never tried a Michelin Star restaurant before, I highly encourage you to try Tmun Restaurant as your first. Comparing the prices to UK, this restaurant actually boast quite cheaper compared to other Michelin star restaurants in UK. A nice suprise was presented to us after requesting for our bill. I don't know if this is for every customers or just us, but I feel acknowledged and important in the restaurant. You can boast to your friends and family that you have visited a Michelin star restaurant. And try the 9 tasting menu dishes instead of 7. Is a good cheap price, however 9 dishes will satisfy. The last order for the tasting menu is 9pm evening time. For anyone visiting Malta or Gozo island, ensure you pay this restaurant a visit.

Had an excellent 9 course sharing lunch with a gorgeous Maltese white wine for lunch. All the courses where delicious with well balanced flavours and beautifully presented.

Divine food, varied menu, all served by dedicated serving staff. Tasting menus are a must try. All so good.

The food at T'mun was astonishingly good. From the oysters and ceviche to the fish soup, sea bass and fish platter. Everything was so delicious and served so beautifully. One month later we are still talking about the fish soup and how to duplicate it. The setting on the harbor is lovely. This was the best meal we had in Malta/Gozo all week and we had some delicious meals. Worth the ferry trip from Valletta many times over.

The food was delightful. It was a multi-course menu (we went for 9 courses) served one-by-one and everything was incredible. I sent many photos to friends showing how lovely it was. We had a bottle of wine with our meal, which was very tasty and well priced. It was served cooled to room temperature, which I appreciated. Service was, for the most part, attentive. Staff were quick to take plates away and bring fresh food so we weren’t waiting too long between dishes. I dropped a service star because we asked to move to a seat where both chairs could view the sea and were told it was booked, then five minutes later another couple were told they could choose that seat or another, whichever they preferred. Also there was a point where we seemed they seemed to forget about us for 20 minutes and didn’t clear away our plates (which they had done previously) between dishes. Lastly, they seemed like they wanted to take orders deliver the food quickly and quietly and get away from our table as fast as possible. They didn’t ask if we’d like the menu or any dishes explaining, just told us what the fish of the day was. For some this would be good because they were very much “not there” and not in your face. For me, I’d prefer the choice because I’d prefer to talk about the dishes, get some recommendations, etc. However, we had a complimentary pea tart to start, Amaretto and truffle to finish and both were beautiful. Atmosphere was good except I had my back to the sea and wasn’t allowed to move, there was no music, and we were right next to the door and everyone coming in and out. Most of the time I watched the staff serving food. Only these minor things could improve it but it was nice outside, the chairs were comfy, it was lively, and generally was quite nice. Overall it was fantastic and despite some possible improvements, the food was so good for such a reasonable price that I would rate it five stars overall and recommend to anyone.

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and beautiful views. However, considering the price of the fish dishes, I found the sides lacking. The vegetables and potatoes were served together in the same bowl, just a few slices of potato accompanied by large chunks of marrow and aubergine, which unfortunately lacked flavour. On a positive note, the pasta was excellent and even the starters were good.

Hidden in a quiet spot overlooking the sea is Arzella Restaurant. This place offers some of the best views of Marsalforn and the best seafood in all of Gozo. The staff was really welcoming and made sure that we’ll have a great Mediterranean food experience. One thing I really liked about this place, apart from the food, is that when you order a dish from the specialty menu they tell you the price without even asking. Whether you’re looking for a group lunch or a romantic dinner, this place is for you.

I reserved a table with a sea view for a special occasion and even confirmed the availability by phone. However, upon arrival, I was offered a table near the entrance with no view, or an inside table in a small storage-like room with boxes on the table. Thank you for turning a birthday surprise into a disappointment.

We visited this quirky little cafe after visiting the Citadel on Gozo. The service was swift and friendly. All the food we had was very nice and reasonably priced. A great little cafe to visit and enjoy a wide variety of dishes.

I’d say this is quite a local gem! 💫 The food was rather average, so maybe my choice wasn’t perfect — but the place itself has a great local vibe and atmosphere. If you’re looking for something truly Maltese in spirit, this is definitely one of the top spots to visit. 🇲🇹✨

Came here for a quick bite and some drinks, and I gotta say we left with the biggest smile on our faces. The terrace is beautiful, accompanied by relaxing jazz music that makes you feel like you’ve traveled back in time. Such a lovely experience, if we’re ever back in Gozo, we are definitely stopping here.

I saw the menu at this bistro had many vegan options, so I went to try it. I had the Vegan Dark Chocolate mousse with strawberry compote and almond biscuit. Cafes need to offer more vegan options to meet rising consumer demand from health-conscious individuals, ethical consumers, and flexitarians. It is welcome to see businesses align with values of sustainability and animal welfare. This cafe has been running for 27 years! The decoration is like something from 100 years ago.

Nice little cafe good atmosphere and great service overall. Ham and cheese toastie for €4 around here is a great deal and tasty too! Would recommend.

Me and my partner had a wonderful time here, we were well looked after and the food was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the flambé crepes, I would particularly recommend that. However, the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that the bathroom lets it down. It doesn’t seem to fit the restaurant, being that it looks very old or hasn’t been renovated in a while and the stall locks are VERY stiff, I felt like I would be locked in at one point. Overall, we would really would love to come here again, just that their bathroom lets the experience down for me a little bit…

Dear Ta’ Frenc Team, this was truly one of the most wonderful dining experiences we have ever had. First of all, your restaurant is beautifully and harmoniously designed. The service was exceptionally attentive. We only mentioned once that my wife is pregnant, and from that moment on, every course was thoughtfully adapted — from the sauces to the meat and beyond. The food was among the best I have ever tasted in my life — an absolute delight for the palate. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience.

Great food (especially the little complementary starters). The bread selection is also amazing. Service is 10/10. The playlist is a bit « cheap » and redundant, the place is so special it deserves a better playlist that doesn’t feel like a waiting room.

Amazing place! We had the tasting menu and it was simply divine. My wife was pregnant, and they were attentive and catered to her needs by going above and beyond. They had a great selection of drinks. Cocktails were delicious and the wine pairings were on point and complemented the dishes. All the staff were very friendly and generous. Best resteraunt on Gozo hands down. Don't miss it.

We appreciated the professional service and the kindness of the waiters as well as the beautiful location. But nevertheless - concerning the food health standards, every restaurant, even more so a Michelin awarded restaurant should follow them stringently. My girlfriend got such bad food poisoning during the night that she is still unable to eat properly after four days. It’s put an unfortunate change on our holiday momentum. It’s even further souring to recall that we paid €225 for this experience. That’s some expensive vomit.

Wonderful diner, left fat as a cat. The steak was delicious and my wife eat most of mine! Order two! Great wine selection and had an extensive kids pairing and menu so our little ones were not left out of the gourmet meal. Lovely waiter. Looking forward to coming back. Decor was so nice locates on beautiful grounds and garden.

As the name suggests, this establishments gives access to some really beautiful Gozo landscape views, especially in the evening when the sun is setting. We were offered some fresh bread and appetizers on the house, which were really good. The ribs were amazing, very tender and the fried potatoes substituted traditional fries in a way that surprises me that not more restaurants are doing so. The beetroot sauce was also unexpected but great (thought it was ketchup before tasting it!). Finally to finish off the night, the imqaret dessert was delectable, but we expected to have at least two imqaret, not one split diagonally. All in all, this place delivers delicious food. Will return.

Had a fantastic meal last night with friends. Booked from England and the staff were really helpful and quick to reply. The View, indeed, has a stunning view. The food was superb and the staff very friendly. Highly recommend the bruschetta with Parma ham and figs and the fresh tomatoes. The calamari was excellent. Will absolutely return next year. EXCELLENT FOOD! Really beautiful location, wonderful sunset and view of the lighthouse, the staff were really helpful and attentive. The food was really fantastic. Everything about this place is amazing! From the view itself, the cute little cats around the restaurant and most importantly, the food and service is impeccable. Will definitely revisit and reserve a table on the terrace. Very important to book before. We shared the aubergine and scamorza ravioli as a started, then a ribeye and duck Breast as mains ( the sweet potato fries and seasonal veg are amazing too) and date fritters (local imqaret) for dessert. All in all a high quality dinner.

Stumbled upon this place by complete accident and ended up having a delightful evening! Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely staff who offered us a complimentary welcome drink, also followed by complimentary amuse bouche. We then ordered squid ink risotto, beef tartare and duck ragu pasta (everything was delicious!). The star of the show however was definitely the pistachio soufflé - WOW! Location & entrance very impressive, but actual food & drinks don't do any justice to the location. Seats have no cushions. Cocktails have barely any alcohol. Just the pasta was nice and yum, otherwise rest served was convinience food. Even fries not home made. Pictures look impressive, but don't taste good. Big disappointment. But 2 points for location & fishes that u can feed the food you don't like.

Just had an amazing experience at this floating restaurant. If you're in Gozo, you need to book and enjoy this little piece of magic. Food is amazing, truly top notch. The Local King Prawns..Exquisite,! . Service is brilliant, efficient, and the fish swimming around the lightly lit, clear waters of the pontoon, just adds to the flavour. It has got to be 5 stars from me. I'll come back to Gozo in the future. I'll definitely go back here.

A friendly sign on the road says "Come in we are open" when you try to walk towards the restaurant, an unfriendly lady comes out waving at you frantically and screaming "Hey! Hey! We are closed!" Seriously, way to go with hospitality guys. If you are closed remove the sign. If you forgot to remove the sign, don't be rude.

This is a fantastic little restaurant, small, so reservations are essential and there's no menu as such. We had a bruschetta style complimentary snack to start, bread with salad, the peppered cheese and a slice of meat. Beers and wine were available, just ask for what you'd like, they said they had "almost everything". Then the choice of a small whole chicken or bragoli, which is beef stuffed with veal and herbs. The vegetarian option was the goats cheese ravioli. Sides of carrots and potatos and as they said, we eat with the bread, so bread was also provided. There was a choice of dessert, but I've forgotten what the options were, we all had the almond cake. All in all a great experience and there's something to be said for a limited menu and traditional food is alway something ti be experienced. Amazing, thoroughly recommended!

Words cannot express how much we love this bar and restaurant. Don’t be fazed by the restricted menu as everything that comes out of the kitchen is simply superb! They pay special attention to children and adapt everything to suit their tastes - although my 3 and 6 yr olds enjoyed everything served to them. Yes, the ravioli is spectacular but so is everything else - see you next year ladies and thank you. Update for 2024- this place is still our favourite in, yes, the world! This years poussin was the best I’ve ever had and will be back next year 😊

We arrived hoping to taste the “bruschette”. There weren’t. That’s ok. So we ordered the “ravioloni”. Oh my god. They were filled with a strange water. I mean, the taste was acceptable, but the price really stuttered us: 15€. Of course we didn’t know that in advance since there is no menu. I suggest you to just try any other restaurant near the shore. We regretted so much the choice. OVERPRICED!

The views of the bay added to the charm of the evening. I highly recommend the grilled octopus and the homemade desserts! Can't wait to return!

We visited this place together with a local who said this place has the best price vs food quality performance on Gozo. I don't know if it is so, but I trust our friend. So I took fish soup, it was tasty, it had fish and rice as main filling plus some other things, a solid 7.5/10 As a starte we also took Mussels and they were really good, nice garlic and vine 9/10. All table took Spaghetti Pescatore as it was suggested to us by our friend and I have to say it was great (I'm not a huge fan of pastas, but this I could eat more) it had rich seafood topping and everything was well made and tasty 9.5/10 And as a dessert I took an apple pie andb my other half took Fondant. Both were ok, well made and balanced with ice-cream. 8/10 What this place lacks is a bit better service. We asked for desserts menu 3 times (to 3 different waiters) until it was finally brought. This place has a nice terrace with view of sea. All in all, I think I would visit this place again if I'm somewhere nearby.

The restaurant is located right by the sea, offering a beautiful view from both the terrace and the outside area. The staff is friendly, and the dishes are served quickly. There’s a wide selection of wines, as well as craft beers. When it comes to the menu, I believe everyone can find something they like. The prices are similar to those in Rabat on Gozo and on Malta itself. The only downside is that when it’s full inside, it gets quite noisy and it can be hard to have a conversation.

This restaurant is near the guest house where we stayed. We went just for convenience but we ended up eating here every day because the food was good. It’s also good value for money as the portions are big. You’d better go there hungry.

Decent, big portion. Octopus starter is good, tuna salad very good it's fresh. Grilled calamari 10/10, but the disappointment comes from the seafood pasta, prawn, king prawn, shrimps and squid are all not fresh, you can taste it's the frozen ones.

We visited Qbajjar in Gozo without a reservation and were seated outside, where we could enjoy the warmth and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the mussels cooked in white wine and despite the sauce being on the salty side, the mussels themselves were absolutely fantastic. So fresh, meaty, and perfectly cooked, hands down the best mussels I had during my entire trip to Malta. Although it was listed as a starter, the portion was incredibly generous and could’ve easily passed for a main. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout, and we had no trouble finding a parking space in their car park, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. I’d definitely return if I’m ever back in Gozo, just maybe with a side of bread to soak up that salty (but tasty!) sauce. The deserts were nicely presented, and quite delicious.

One of a cluster of restaurants along the Marsalforn waterfront, the ambience is quite pleasant and the staff attentive. Service is efficient and the food is solid fare with good options for kids too. The seafood starter platter is particularly impressive and the fish soup excellent. Price is very reasonable, you're probably looking at 25-30Euro per head for a 2 course meal.

It's been a good 25 years or more since I first dined at Pulena restaurant. Although I don't frequent Gozo as before, I make it a point not to fail on visiting. I must admit I'm a fish lover, mostly I've always opted for grilled fresh Calamari, they're divine same as their fish soup and all pasta dishes, platters, pizzas and all. The patrons make you so welcome that you become family.

Very disappointed. I don't recommend it! We visited it on a weekday for lunch. They seated us right away, took our order and started waiting. We waited! And we are still waiting! 1 hour (60 min.) until they brought our order. First they made excuses that they had a large group! Then it was that the fish we ordered was cooked slowly. More than the rabbit meat?! First they brought us the side dishes - the salad wasn't fresh and had been prepared hours ago. The main dish - the rabbit meat was cold. The fish - tasty, but I would not say it was anything special. The pizza - of course, it was cold. Even the wonderful view could not compensate for our disappointment with the food.

We found this beautiful restaurant in Gozo island, we loved the atmosphere and the view of blue lagoon just in front of us was breathtaking. The service and the food were great especially the salmon and the steak! We really enjoyed this amazing experience and we will definitely come back once in Gozo. Top notch!🫶🏻

We ordered one fish, but the waiter charged us for two, claiming we had ordered fish for two people. However, as clearly shown in the video we recorded, there was only one fish served on the table. This felt dishonest and left us with a bad impression of the place. The view is stunning, but the service is terrible.

Really good food and wine! Great service, I would definitely recommend it. The view at the sea provides the unique climate. The only little annoying thing is that there were a lot of flies that were sitting on your head throught the dinner.

Personally one of the best views on the island. Mgarr harbour is just underneath and one can see the ferry’s operating between the three islands. The restaurant is based over different terraces which the first terraces is excess able by wheelchair. There are both indoor and outdoor tables. The location has a bar with a pool table and big screen acting as a sports bar. This is practically separate from the restaurant itself. It also houses a traditional “bocci” pitch which is attended by local players. The food includes a lot of traditional options and there are always a lot of daily specials. There are limited vegan options but the staff is very accommodating, efficient and fast. I strongly suggest you book as the place is pretty busy. Prices are very reasonable and quality is good

Absolutely loved this place! The food was delicious, especially the duck with fig sauce and the calamari fritto misto – both highly recommended. The view of the bay is simply stunning, with crystal-clear water and a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. This restaurant and its owners and servers gave us one of the best experiences we've ever had in a restaurant. We were welcomed with a warm smile and service that only family offers. The waiters and owners were extremely natural and friendly. We ordered a lot of food (the duck, the mussels, and the octopus) as well as wine. Everything was delicious and it really felt as if they were enjoying us enjoying the food. Highly highly recommended for a sunset view lunch or dinner. Thank you for the lovely evening.

The food at Cima Restaurant is absolutely delicious – every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made it a great spot to enjoy a meal in Gozo. The view from the terrace is simply magnificent, adding a special touch to the whole dining experience. The only downside was the long waiting time for the food, which tested our patience a little. However, once the dishes arrived, the taste and quality definitely made up for it. Highly recommended if you’re not in a rush and want to savor tasty cuisine with stunning views!

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed Brookies in all aspects. The food was excellent and tasted as good as it looks in the images. The waiter was very knowledgeable when it came to the menu and his Gozitan advice was a pleasure. The duck I had was cooked to the exact level I wanted and the sauces were incredible. The week after, I had duck somewhere else in Malta which was more expensive and there's no comparison. You're getting value for money and good service here. We found the restaurant through Cloudigo and we'll definitely come back again!

I loved this place! We went on a quiet evening, and we were treated fantastically! We dined on the roof, but the main menu. Staff very accommodating, very patient, and knowledgeable. Food fresh, plentiful, and delicious. My partner had the duck, cooked to perfection, I had mushroom pasta, my plate was left empty! Good cocktail, good bottle of wine, and the view was awesome. Definitely going again.

Update Dec 2024: I still recommend this place. The previous review still applies. Prices are higher today but that's the trend everywhere today. Good food and great service in a nice location. We had pasta with seafood and salmon and they were both very good dishes. The pasta seems freshly made. They also offer some starter and bread is served hot. Prices are on the mid to high range and portions average. Good wine selection. Overall recommended.

Brookies has a Puzza/Pasta restaurant on the terrace and an A La Carte in the rustic Gozitan farmhouse full of original features. The Manageress and all her staff were very professional and friendly. The food in the A La Carte was exquisite, very tasty and plentiful.

This 300 yrs old converted farmhouse turned into a beautiful restaurant, it has also a wine cellar next to the wine bar area which is really nice. We have stayed outside but it was too hot and the fans were not reaching our table. So here my suggestion is to make sure that if you were given a table outside the fans reaches you, otherwise ask for a table indoors under the AC. With regards to food, it was great, we had some starters followed by the main courses. I tasted the beef tagliata of my husband and highly recommended. Next time I visit, if I'm taking a starter I definitely do not choose the beef in curry as the portion for me was too much, the dish contains 5 big meatballs and quite filling. As for the service, the person who served us was very polite and when we told him that it was too hot he shifted us in the wine bar so we take dessert there. Keep it up looking forward for the next visit.

Amazing staff, amazing food! The atmosphere is gorgeous and on top of that they accepted us with our dog, Luna 🐶 on Valentine's Day! She even got a special treat to enjoy while we were dining. It was our first experience there, and will definitely not be the last. Highly recommended, especially the fillet steak... 🥰 Yum!

Loved it here. The little higher price from other restaurants is totally worth it. The place is really nice and from the peek I took from upstairs the bar downstairs looks amazing. Had a birthday dinner and we where around 15. Great atmosphere and the food was good. Sorry about the messy plates but i had to try the meat before the photo. It was kangaroo which i never tried before. It is not on the main menu but on the specials. BE AWARE of the specials as there are some great choices which are written on a board. I liked the attention to detail which helps you to have a lovely night. As we were a large group most of restaurants try to save on the sides but here he brought enough to share well between us. Not to mention the bread with the amazing paste which i had to take a picture of 🤤. Also soft drinks in glass bottles which is better and has a good selection of wine. Nice staff and friendly owner. Recommend for a nice evening to hang out in the restaurants with family/friends. If you like fast service to just eat and leave not sure this is the best place.

A place with a beautiful ambience inside and out. It is sea facing. It’s a beautiful place for a date night. We chose to go there seeing the google rating and was never dissatisfied. Service is very polite and friendly. Food was delicious. I have shared some pictures of what we had. The cocktails aren’t that great. But the restaurant has a huge collection of wines. Food is well decorated and tasty as well. After all why I give a 4 star is because I was disturbed by many flys.

Really excellent! Even though a bit aside from the main routes, this restaurant serves local dishes of a really high quality. A great assortment of wines as well, so this is a great place to spend an evening!

Had lunch here while staying on Gozo, if you’re on the island this has to be on your list. Great, uncomplicated food at reasonable prices. Also, plentiful gluten free options which are hard to find in Malta! Staff were friendly, attentive and the view is amazing. Great smooth music and atmosphere but not overwhelming at all, a group favourite all round. I will be coming back!

Amazing! We had our 2 children with us (3 and 5) and the waitress we had was amazing. She took them to get ice-cream and when my youngest knocked his over she said not to worry and took him to get more. The food was wonderful and had great views over mgarr harbour.

We came here independent of tour groups and ordered from the à la carte menu. Service was a bit on the slow side but that’s understandable since the staff were busy with the tour groups that have lunch here. The food was amazing, especially the fried calamari. It was cooked so well that the calamari seemingly melts in your mouth. Loved the savoury mussels too!

Nice prices for such quality👍🏻 The food is almost like homemade, very good. They also have an excellent homemade Maltese wine and it's super cheap but really delicious.

It was the first time we came here with a recommendation from a friend, and we were really amazed by the quality of the food. The chicken was really good and especially the fried brie cheese. The portions are huge and the prices are really good compared to the quality of the food. One thing that we didn't like a lot was the waiting time between the starter and the arrival of the main course I think we waited around one hour, but it was a Saturday and the restaurant was full.

A beautiful place where workers from Serbia work. I hope that Europe will wise up and accept Serbia into the EU so that they have as many workers as possible from this wonderful country instead of Africa or Asia!

Giuseppe Café & Bistro There are approximately 91 band clubs on Malta and Gozo. We have eaten at a fair number of them, and our favorite is Giuseppe’s in Ghajnsielem. Giuseppe’s is more than a band club and burger place. It is a full-on restaurant and bar. They offer exceptional food and excellent table service. Whether you're alone or with a party of 100, they will accommodate any size. The food is not only first-rate and delicious, but it will not break your bank account. Mary’s favorite is Chicken Parmesan, a perfectly cooked chicken breast. Tender and juicy with shavings of Parmesan and just the right amount of sauce, it’s served with chips, vegetables, or their perfectly roasted potatoes. Their full menu has burgers, a ftira, salads, roasted chicken, pizza, pastas, steaks, and yes, you can get a Full English breakfast. If I have lunch, I usually order an enormous vegetable salad. At dinner time, I get the filet of steak cooked to perfection. Fresh specials are served from 10 am to midnight every day except Wednesday, 5pm to midnight, and Sunday, 8 am to midnight. The menu is quite large with a variety of many local and worldwide favorites. We go to Giuseppe’s at least twice a month. It is our favorite local restaurant, a gathering place.

It was near the port for the ferry going back to Malta. We weren’t expecting anything as we just want to have a snack and a coffee after a four hour hike around Gozo, and since we didn’t have any food the whole day. But wow! The ftira was really good, and the staff were nice. And only locals were inside, and mostly cute old grandmas and grandpas gathering to either eat or play together. Such a heartwarming scene.

Probably the best risotto and spaghetti with seafoof we have ever had. Fast and friendly service. Reasonable prices.

While vacationing in Gozo, we decided to have dinner at Ferdie’s Restaurant and it did not disappoint. We tried the seafood platter and the flap beef tagliata, both of which were fresh, flavorful and perfectly cooked. The bread that came with the dishes was a great touch. The staff was friendly and really helpful in guiding us through the menu. The cocktails were a standout, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. If you’re in Gozo and looking for a spot that serves excellent seafood and steak, Ferdie’s is definitely worth checking out.

One of the biggest recommendation for great food on Gozo! The hosts were really nice, food was quick and tasty and the location and atmosphere is lovely. Not touristic at all, very classy and calm. The restaurant is overlooking the Harbour with views on Malta. We choose Tortellini and a vegan 🌱 pizza (including vegan cheese).

Audrey is one of the World's unsung heroes. She runs a great bar that provides everyone with excellent food and drinks. She works like a Trojan and has a friendly smile for everyone. Her team are also hard working and friendly. Food is beyond expectations for a small town bar, quite amazing, tasty and presented better than many pricey restaurants! Needless to say it was not pricey. When asked for "a glass of delicious local wine" that's exactly what she produced. The bar is warm and exciting in its style and decor, its small so you may the to wait for a table but it's well worth the wait, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Audrey and team for helping to make our trip fabulous and memorable! ❤️💯

We visited this restaurant for a glass of wine and appetizer. I would love to return, as the food was wonderful and the waitstaff couldn't do enough to make us happy. Gbejna cheese was amazingly flavorful and the scallops au gratin? To die for!

I rarely write reviews, but this experience was too frustrating to ignore. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive — and this wasn’t even during peak hours. No one came to check on us or offer any explanation for the delay. When the food finally came, it was lukewarm and underwhelming at best. The staff seemed disorganized and uninterested, and the overall atmosphere was chaotic rather than welcoming. For the price and supposed reputation of this place, I expected so much better. Sadly, I won’t be coming back — and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values their time or money.

What can I say? The best place to dine in Gozo. For those looking for excellent food and good service, this is the place to be. Everything was delicious. Staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating. They also accept pets to go in. They have quite a number of seatings and a room for private dining upstairs. Definitely a must try restaurant in Gozo.

You have to visit! We got recommended this restaurant by our Airbnb home owner “cheap and good” she said. So right. The portions were huge and all of them could be ordered as a starter so they worked well for a smaller main meal (children or not so hungry people). Got recommended local wine which was great. Lollipops for the kids when we paid is always welcome 😍 The service was perfect, our server was lovely! We got seated right by the aircon which was a bit too cold for us but we got to turn it off and that helped! They offer takeaway and have a separate lunch offer which I haven’t tried yet!

Kind and attentive staff in a nice restaurant. Places clean and ample seating, bathrooms immaculate. Food portions are MASSIVE, definitely getting money’s worth but if eating lunch just have starter. 2 mains and 5 drinks came to under €40. Great place - Would Recommend.

We make it a point to visit this restaurant every time we are in Gozo. The food is consistently exceptional, and the staff are always kind and attentive. We typically choose to sit on the top floor, where the waiter is particularly friendly and warmly greets us each time.

The service here is exceptional. Very attentive. You can feel they really care for the happiness and satisfaction of the customer. I was alone, but was still served by two waiters and one waitress. You get a little amuse-bouche in the beginning. High quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar, made in Gozo. And warm bread. After that, I had fresh mussels and for the main course, BBQ-Ribs. The view is phenomenal, food was super delicious and fresh. Can't wish for anything more to end a fantastic day.

Very friendly personnel in the first place. They really were very helpful and put the customer first at all times. Big thanks again to the manager also that took the time to look for a local pharmacy that was open on a Sunday. Very kind! The food was not bad at all but I believe you really need to stick to the fish specialties here to get the ultimate food experience. We were in a hurry first so our choices were led by time which was a pity. :(

We arrived late and found this lovely little restaurant on the front. We enjoyed a nice amuse-bouche which was a meat red pesto tartlet. We chose to have four flambé king prawns which were 4.50 euro each, these were not that great and quiet small for the price. They should definitely offer some sauce or spice with these. However the mains were excellent. My fiancée had the special Angus beef kebab which was absolutely lovely (we shared half and half). I chose the bbq pork ribs these were melt off the bone cooked to perfection 🥰 I chose fries and salad both were very nice. It was a very nice thanks team.

This place is absolutely exceptional! I ate here every day of my stay in Gozo. The service is hands down the best. Food is fresh, comes out quick and is either delicious or at the very least pretty good. Very content with the way these guys have served me. I will definitely come back here next time!

You know the place is really good when you start wondering what’s better: food or customer experience. Food is absolutely delicious and the service is beyond amazing - each and every single waiter and waitress that served us was very nice and kind. The beautiful view of Marsalforn Bay during the day is a cherry on top. Weekends are quite busy but definitely worth waiting (and you shouldn’t wait too long). Make sure to add this place to your itinerary!

Bellusa Café Bellusa Café in Victoria, Gozo is a favorite stop for us when in the Gozitan capital city. Situated on the edge of Independence Square, it is the perfect stop for an Americano Coffee or Cappuccino and a Maltese Pastizz before you check out all the local vendors and craftsmen that line the two streets on either side of Bellusa. If something more substantial is what you craze, Bellusa Café serves a grandiose English Breakfast for those with a large appetite. Eggs, pastries, and additional breakfast items are available. If we choose to shop first, Bellusa is ideal for lunch. Delicious hamburgers, chicken burgers, and sandwiches accompanied by delicious golden fries are sure to fill you up. They even offer an American-style hot dog. Excellent pizzas can be for one or to share with the family. People-watching is a favorite pastime of ours, and this is the place to do it. Order a cold beer or a refreshing glass of wine, and watch the world go by. Belussa Café is a casual, budget-friendly place sure to have something to satisfy your taste buds.

Food is just heated from frozen production, it is not made, it will do it's job to kill hunger maybe...

For 15€ 2 breast chicken you expect the chicken breasts not defrosted meat. Pizza is like frozen one but with added anchioves. Too bad for the price

Food was serviceable but our group of 8 had to ask multiple times where the remainder of food went. 2 of us had to wait almost an hour while the rest of us had already finished. The owner would only argue and not apologize. I would suggest going to the other places on this square

We were with a group of 8. 2 of us ordered burgers but the other 6 got their food 45 minutes early. So there was 45 minutes between some of us getting food. The owner when we asked him for an apology reacted rude and didn't say sorry at all. His excuse was that it was busy. It wasn't busy at all. Do not come here with a large group. Also my burger was plain bland and bad.

We came for lunch. The hamburger was better than I expected, but still just okay. The photo on the menu is not representative of what you get. The photo on the menu shows a large hamburger patty. When my burger came I thought they forgot the meat. Seriously. The fries were okay. However, we did enjoy sitting outside and watching the people pass by.

this bar is a scam, they have different prices on the drink menu than what you will actually pay. we also paid 7-8 euros for a bottle that you can buy in the store for not even a euro, but they pour it into the glass, so you don't know. the waiter was probably not completely sober either. probably not everyone had such an experience, but I would not recommend this place.

It's a really small bar with a tiny disco at its 1st floor. It's very lively on Friday and generally people between the age of 18 to 30 attend the venue. If you really dislike smokers or you are trying to quit avoid this place.

The pub is quite small with a couple of outdoor tables. It opens earlier than some of the other bars making it a nice refreshment stop after a day out exploring.

For the 2 weeks we were here this was our social anchor. Dave and Tania are lovely people who graft to make sure their bar is well kept and provide a great service. As well as being lovely people, they are really personable and interested. I'm sure that when you keep a bar there has to be a social veneer to some extent but we never got that impression here. Very best of luck for the future guys. To note the draft beer is lovely, a little different to the Cisk, almost like a Weiss beer but not as sour.

Bar 73 is my local when I visit Gozo. Tanya & Dave always make me feel welcome, and it's a lovely spot to relax in the afternoon & early evening sun, in Victory Square (Xhagra), and just people watch, whilst enjoying several crisp pints of Moretti. Recommended.

Great little bar in a great location. It offers a great choice of drinks and cocktails, all for a fair price! The people who seem to own/manage the place are extremely friendly and a pleasure to talk to. The bar offers food too but is limited however, that being said it has daily specials and a small array of amazing burgers! If you're in the square I'd highly recommend this bar.

A very good pint of Bombardier. Good fun with boss David who has a delightful cynical caustic wit which suits me fine. Tanya aka 'Miss Ukraine ' is lovely. We visited several times and had a good bevy! I recommend the place if you like proper beer!

Looked like a decent place to order a drink with a sea view. Asked for a drink menu. Waitress (who seemed drunk or high) told me to cross the street with cars and look at the menu on the other side. Then when we asked for some ice to go with our ice teas she loudly complained to other staff member. When we had to leave for the ferry - tried to flag the waitress to pay. She just kept chatting with other staff members on the porch and completely ignoring us.

Such a nice a beautiful experience. The host was ever so kind and understanding of English. Food was very nice as well. Very chill music playing in the background as well. What more can you ask for.

The place looks interesting so we sat to get some coffee. We ordered 2 double esspresos, we got them in a really dirty cups and with a dirty spoons. At the end we payed it 8€, which is too much. Today at the Airport we payed the same coffe 6,40€. The waiter was cool. Would not recommend.

Nice low-key little place by the Harbour. Comfortable seating, Friendly staff and a small menu. We had the (deconstructed) tomato-salad, which was basically a Caprese salad with plums and apple but it tasted great and all the ingredients were fresh. The dish could have done with a little more of the delicious garlic bread 😉 The only (small) let-down was that they didn't serve Kinnie, but they have enough choice in beverages to compensate for that.

I asked for 2 beers, and i got 2 bittled heinekens in 2 different dirty glass for 10 eur. Then I asked the old guy if he can give me cash for the cigarette machine, he said i can send 10 on revolut and he give me cash. After he lied that he didn't received the money, and keep rejecting to send me back the 10. Do not go here, absolutly terrible. At least it was nice to sit next to the water and boats...

Worst place in gozo ever. They served a frozen pizza for a price of a normal italian pizza., pizza was frozen pizza but a low quality one. we wanted to put some spicy sauce to surpress bad taste of raw tomato sauce but they said they have no other sauces available. I am sorry but i regret the money i spent here.

Quaint eatery by the harbour with good drinks and café type food. There’s options of indoor and veranda seating as well as tables across the road by the harbour. Good courtesy service.

Very good cocktails and amazing atmosphere! The music played was also great and the staff are very professional. Carlos Roeha took great care of us and we had some of the best cocktails ever.

We had cocktails before we go back to Sliema. This is the first class bar. I had recommendation and my girlfriend had ‘can’t stop’. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Especially Loris and Loic were amazing. They are the best!!! You guys made our day in Gozo

As business people, the folks behind Ix-Xatt at one80 are keeping up with the times, more so than some of the surrounding bars. They know how to run a chic, modern bar, complete with social media presence and branding. Super stylish inside and served by skillful and professional bar staff, Ix-Xatt at one80 is a must-visit for gin-loving Gozitans and visitors alike. Expect to pay higher prices for drinks compared to other bars in the Mġarr and Għajnsielem areas but I think it’s worth it for the atmosphere, music and professionalism. They really know how to make excellent gin and tonic! Serving ginger ale in an Erlenmeyer flask was a nice touch too!

I absolutely love Il-Luzzu. Great place for drinks while waiting for the next ferry. This is one of our regular places in Gozo and during our revisit in May 2022, the atmosphere of the place was even better and the taste in music of the staff member in charge of it was just as good. Fantastic prices for drinks too!

The perfect spot to wait for your taxi from the ferry port. A cute little terrace overlooking the fishing boats. Friendly, quick service and a great aperol spritz.

We had the aperitivo deal, with a couple of Aperol Spritz and the aperitivo meal. It had a litttle bit of everything: salami, cheese, pasta and rice. It is a nice try to taste a little bit the basic Italian aperitivo.

Catastrophic and incompetent service. Warm rose wine bottle served: no insight, just drink it. Dirty wine glasses. The new ones were just as dirty. Pinacolada was anything but pinacolada (glass only 1/3 full). Bottle of water came first after 50 min. Appetizer came after main course. absolutely not recommendable

This club is terrorizing the whole Marsalforn with its loud music. It would be so much perfect place to stay without this place. We couldn't sleep hearing the beat, and the owner didn't want to turn it even a little bit more quiet.

Definitely gotta visit here if you're coming to Malta. The sand beach, the cove, and the little restaurant is a great vibe. The lemon gurbell pasta was great the bread was awesome. Amazing restaurant on the sea. Great atmosphere and attention to detail. Wonderful Food and coffee form breakfast to sunset. Loved the double tuna pasta and the summer feta, with peaches. A perfect corner of paradise totally worth the visit. Love the efforts to reduce single use plastic use! You can buy a steel bottle for all day water, or refill your own for just 1€.

Awesome place, view and people. 5 star service. Very good pizza. It can be a potential 5 stars but the octopus was too tough and we had an issue with the dessert. I don't know if it is a regular attraction or we were lucky but there was a sunset ceremony with gong player. Very suggestive. This is a must in your travel itinerary.

Very strange bar: good music, good drinks, prices ok. But the attitude of the guy serving free snacks, for about 1h, was so stupid and annoying. Everyone got snaks at least 10 times, all thé local people. But we, foreigners (touristes), were deliberately ignores at every turn. So unfair and discriminating. Pitty, we'll never come back there !!!

Lovely little family run diner with a British pub feel. The children served us which was really sweet, a great little waitress! Excellent value for money, our food was delicious and portion sizes were great. Highly recommended for a quick bite and some relief from the heat!

One of the loveliest places I have been to in Malta! The family running the place is friendly, kind and lovely. The burger was one of the best burgers I HAVE EVER EATEN. Be sure to visit this place if you are in Victoria!

Ritz Snack bar is the liveliest bar in Vitoria, we went on a Saturday night, 200 young people partying. Nice place, much needed life in quiet town. Be large :-)
