Eclectic restaurant
Coach Lane Restaurant @ Donaghy's Bar is a charming and popular spot in Sligo, established since 1994. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring seafood, steaks, and pasta. The downstairs bar provides a relaxed atmosphere with red-checkered tablecloths and serves comforting dishes like fish pie and beef-and-Guinness stew.
An absolute gem! We ate at the Coach Lane Grill and Pub on a Monday evening and we will definitely be back. The staff are extremely friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband had the Best Burger Ever and I had the Yummy Fisherman’s Pie. The dishes’ names really set one’s expectations high but they most certainly did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and a wide selection of drinks.

It was a friend’s Birthday and our Waitress Nicole made it extra special with her exceptional service. Food was outstanding and very generous portions. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Very happy customer.
Sharon M — Google review
Would've given it 7 stars if I could. The service was impeccable - the guys opened the lane for us and our two doggies. The guiness was fresh and the food was unbelievable! Irish pub cosine elevated to a Michelin star reataurant level. Highly recommended!

Absolutely spectacular!!! This bread was the best bread I've ever tasted. It was even better than anything I've ever made myself. I can't believe how good it was. The lamb shank was very tasty and the carrot and parsnip puree was out of this world. I'm not usually a fan of puree, but this was fantastic. The hot red cabbage was a nice balance to the lamb shank, potatoes mash and gravy. I must say, this place gets 5 stars from me!!!

Visited with my sister and fiance and I have to say 10/10 no notes at all. I was stuck between two wines they brought a taster of both. I ordered steak rare got it perfectly rare served with mash, baked potatoes, creamed carrots and pickled red cabbage absolutely delicious didn't finish it all. Despite being busy the server was diligent and checked in at all the right intervals I can say expensive as it was the quality and service was UNMATCHED would happily pay the same money again in a heartbeat but would go in hungrier next time so as to try their dessert menu

Professional feeling restaurant establishment. Feels like a good place for family and business occasions. Nice, friendly and accommodating staff.
Paul M — Google review
I loved the atmosphere 😍 cosy and lovely place. For starter, I ordered Tortillini, the main dish was beef, and the desert was a mix of tiramisu, creme brulle, and fruit cake with coffee. even though beef was a medium cooked one, it was one of the most delicious food 🥰 portions of main and starter were so big but desert was small. I absolutely recommend it 😊
Mahrokh J — Google review
Great spot! We've been a couple of times already and plan on going back. The restaurant was closed in January, but the food at the pub is also great! I had the chicken parmigiana and it was delicious, the breast was perfectly breaded and still moist, which is no easy feat. It was laid on a bed of pasta and well made tomato sauce, and covered with cheese. I loved the detail that they give you a spoon for the linguini, which in many places (even Italian ones) I have to ask for in order to eat it properly. The fish pie had a lovely filling and sauce, and the apple pie for dessert was scrumptious. The day was cold, but the place was warm and had a lovely fireplace on. Espresso Martini was well made. Definitely recommend!

Located in Sligo, Ireland, Hargadon Bros is a historic pub established in 1868. The pub features wood-paneled snugs, stone floors, clay jugs, and bottled alcoves that create a charming atmosphere. Known for its flawless preservation and warm ambiance in the afternoons, Hargadon Bros is popular among locals and visitors alike. The pub offers delicious locally sourced food and a friendly staff.
We stayed in Sligo for three days, and this was our favorite pub. There's just something about it that made us feel right at home. Brooding and cozy at the same time, perhaps? :) The first time we were there we ordered a charcuterie board w/ cheese and garlic/cheese fries. Loved it and came back for the second time the next day, and I got to try their strawberry feta salad and their pecan coffee mouse. The next time we're Sligo, that's where we will go for dinner.
Maria — Google review
Outstanding meal. The honey and lime baked salmon was delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the peas and carrots were crisp and fresh. The spinach and parmesan salad was a small side but fresh as well. Pecan coffee mousse was light and flavourful. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was very cozy. All around great experience.
John E — Google review
Amazing atmosphere with live music. Very kind staff. The pub has a very cool traditional wooden interior. We even got a separate dining room if that's what you want. The lamb stew was amazing. I just would have liked a bit more mashed patatoes in it. It was pretty busy, so if you are a bif group, I would recommend making a reservation beforehand. They immediately offered us a free bottle of cold tap water, which was very convenient. They have baby portions, which are a very nice thing to have. Especially if you have a baby so you don't have to share. I would definitely recommend this place when visiting Slego!
HVG S — Google review
A cool, older pub in Sligo. The drinks and food were excellent, The ambiance was great, staff was friendly and attentive, and the space was clean. Highly recommend a stop in.

Delicious meal and fast service! Really enjoyed the seafood chowder and brown bread.
Claudia F — Google review
It was recommended for food by another bar in Sligo, but my husband's hake, mashed potatoes and snap peas a disappointment. Hake dry and mushy, poatoes over whipped and snap peas were big pods, peas past their best. I had mussels and they were delicios a whole kilogram. Waiter could be more attentive. Atmosphere dark and seating very uncomfortable for dining.

I only had Guinness here but it was excellent and the hospitality was also top notch. Lovely pub in Sligo. Next time I’ll try the food.

We just walked in not really knowing what to expect. Paul behind the bar was immediately welcoming. A Guinness was ordered with a whiskey chaser and so the evening continued. We were grateful for Paul's knowledge and advice. The music which started later was to the highest standard. If you visit Sligo. This bar is a must do.

The cozy atmosphere with a gorgeous fireplace and friendly bartenders makes it a favorite among locals and tourists alike.
Lovely old pub with efficient, funny staff. Fast service. Central location in town.
Mary M — Google review
This place was highly recommended but did not really live up to the buzz for me. It was very small and there was no visibility of the musicians. The barman was alone and very busy but also a little intolerant of anyone who didn’t know exactly what they wanted as he seemed too busy to talk you through your options. Not every visitor is Irish and knows what to ask for. There was no food and very little seating as it was packed.
Maureen — Google review
Shoot the Crows was on our list of pubs to visit while we were in Sligo, it did not disappoint. The interior was cozy and inviting and the Guinness was fabulous. The barman/owner was very busy, however, noticing that we were Americans, he took time to chat with us. We only wish we could have such a place in the States.

The owner, Dale, an Australian native, is highly regarded for his positive and hardworking nature. The establishment offers a variety of seating options including cozy snugs, tables near the stove, and high stools at the bar. Additionally, there's a spacious outdoor beer garden where dogs are welcome. The menu features delicious bar food including the popular All Day Full Irish dish.
Went to my first trip to Sligo and went here as recommendation from my friend and wasnt dissapointed. Food excellent, bar staff friendly and lot of space to sit. Also there was an event happening by coincidence and the atmosphere was incredible. 10/10 PS: they have kangaroo meat on the menu which was great.

New to sligo and this place but it was an absolute pleasure visiting this place. Food and service was best and the ambience lighten up the vibe which only this place can present. Thank you so much for the amazing experience and hope to visit someday soon.

Swagman Bar is a fantastic spot for great food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the service was impressively quick. The chowder was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, while the fish and chips were perfectly cooked and satisfying. It’s also a great place to enjoy a few pints with friends, the vibe is laid-back and comfortable, making it an ideal stop whether you’re in for a meal or just drinks. Highly recommend!

First time visit to Sligo. Went here for dinner on a Thursday eve. Place was busy but staff super friendly and attentive. Lovely pub and nice atmosphere. Their non alcohol craft beer is delicious too! Food portions are huge and I took what I couldn’t eat home. Loved our time here.

Aussies in an Aussie pub in Ireland, it’s upside down world. Staff are super friendly and beer was nice and cold. Prepare to disrobe as it is super hot inside. The chicken dish was amazing, burger not so much. Well worth popping in for a pint, sit outside in the fresh air.
Ian H — Google review
Great pub atmosphere and whiskey selection. Friendly staff and good food. Plenty of beer, ale and cider.
Jim M — Google review
Came to drink a beer and eat a fish and chips. It was so good. Thank you so much. See you
Marianne B — Google review
To be honest, I'm shocked. Such a beautiful and themed bar, but the service is simply not worth it and one. We ordered dishes, didn't have time to finish them, and 50% came back to the table and the waiters had already taken them. Then the bill indicated dishes and beer that we did not order. A big request to the owner of the pub to do some work with his staff. We will not come there again. The evening is ruined.

Steak house
Embassy Steakhouse Restaurant is renowned for its top-quality steak dishes, prepared by skilled chefs using prime Irish beef cooked over an open flame grill. The restaurant's founders have a wealth of experience in the culinary world and have brought their expertise to this establishment. Guests praise the lovely ambiance and excellent service, with some noting that they were accommodated without reservations. While there were some mix-ups with orders, the food received high praise, particularly the salmon and wasabi dish.
Absolutely delightful! My server was very friendly and did not make me feel rushed. (I had been so tired from traveling but wanted a steak late at night so I snuck in before close.. yes I made sure to be done before closing time lol) Both sauces that came with the steak were fantastic! If I could bottle them up & send them to the states I would 😋 thank you for a great meal!
Ariel S — Google review
I was here for a hen party with fifteen. Staff were very good and professional with different large parties in. No big waits in-between courses. Food was alright, no big complaints. The ice cream and brownie were lovely with the dessert but nobody was sure on the third one.
Jo D — Google review
The Embassy Steakhouse delivered on every level. The atmosphere was warm and cosy – perfect for a relaxed evening out. As soon as I sat down, I was given a complimentary bread basket, which was a really nice touch while I waited for my food. For starters, I had the mussels – they were excellent. Great flavour, and the sauce was rich and delicious without being too heavy. For the main, I went with the T-bone steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The flavour was spot on, and the sides paired really well with the dish. Overall, just really good food in a welcoming setting. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality dining in a comfortable atmosphere.

A fantastic experience, this restaurant is one of the best in Sligo. We couldn't fault it, they have great size glasses of wine! We had a delicious complimentary bread board while we were waiting for food. This is one of the undiscovered gems in the Sligo food scene, be sure to try it 😋

Thanks to Avril and all the staff at The Embassy for a really enjoyable evening. Great service, food and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend for any occasion, we’ll definitely be back!
Sinead K — Google review
The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet expectations. While the sides were quite nice, the steaks lacked flavor and had a bitter aftertaste. The sauces were also underwhelming, tasting very similar and reminiscent of instant seasoning.

One evening in Sligo, we dined at The Belfry Bar without a reservation but managed to secure a table. The waitstaff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, providing helpful assistance throughout our visit. The cuisine was delectable, as we savored the mild chicken curry paired with rice and fries, along with the mouthwatering chicken Sambo accompanied by fries.
Really nice food and big portions Staff were excellent and friendly. We went in looking for table for 7 and rather than saying they had no space they told us there was a table but we had to be finished in an hour. Service was quick so we were done inside an hour

On Saturday just gone, I walked into that pub for the first time in five years, and it was like arriving home again. Food was as good as I remember and the drink still flows freely. Would recommend to anyone in Sligo.

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Staff are attentive and chatty on a nice way. Definitely recommend the place and we will return in the near future.
Joseph M — Google review
Had to travel to Knock airport from Enniskillen to collect our daughter, a friend recommended the Belfry, for great food, so we stopped on the way home. Wow what a spot, we were greeted by the very friendly barman, whom we now know is the bar manager Cian. His knowledge was second to none, the menu was reasonably priced, my wife had the Steak Sambo, daughter had Buffalo chicken and I had the Cajan burger. The food was just amazing. I would recommend this wonderful establishment to anyone, and we will definitely be back sooner rather than later. Oh I forgot to mention pints are reasonably priced as well.
Ian G — Google review
Lots of screens to watch the game but this sports bar is massive and has too many areas open to be understaffed or not have call buttons at the table. Staff could easier fill condiments or pre-open if customers weren't so spread out at opening. We had to get up to order food/drink and were not checked on after food came. That said, the burger was surprisingly good (not well done/overcooked!!), Onion rings were well battered and golden, wings have a nice kick of spice without losing flavor. Guinness wasn't great, unfortunately ... Bitter/not fresh. We'll try again assuming it was just an off day for service since the food was good.
Mary M — Google review
We recently held our daughters 18th birthday party here, from the initial booking right up to the night the staff couldn’t do enough for us, our expectations were exceeded and everyone had a fantastic night, food was delicious and overall everything was perfect, fantastic venue to hold a party, special mention of gratitude to Fergal, Cian and Martin who went above and beyond on customer service, we will definitely be back, 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Claudine — Google review
Only went in for a drink. Had a great night. Met some locals but Cian the bar manager was great, had such great knowledge of whiskeys that 1 drink turned into 5/6( whose counting). Whiskey connoisseur 10/10. Would recommend even on a wet rainy night.
Linda F — Google review
Not even deserving of a single star I had one of the most appalling experiences at The Belfry in Sligo. I came in simply wanting to play pool or snooker, but what I encountered was blatant racism. Staff told us—Black customers—that the tables were “kept for regulars,” refusing to let us play even though the tables were empty and no one was using them. We weren’t even allowed to play while they waited for their so-called “regulars.” This kind of discriminatory behavior is disgusting and unacceptable in any establishment, let alone one that claims to be welcoming. It’s 2025, and yet some places still think it’s okay to treat people differently based on the color of their skin. Shame on The Belfry. They don’t deserve a single star.

Brunch restaurant
Osta Cafe and Wine Bar is a popular spot known for its gluten-free options, making it an attractive choice for those with dietary restrictions. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the accuracy of their orders, particularly in relation to gluten-free items. Despite this, the cafe is praised for its delicious food when orders are correct. The establishment is also part of the vibrant culinary scene in Sligo, as evidenced by its participation in events like the Sligo Tapas Trail.
Osta was one of my favorite brunch spots for all the years I was in Sligo. Great atmosphere, lovely staffs and good food, what else can one ask for. The egg Benedict was my go to, the smoothies are absolutely delicious as well. Great view of the river garavogue on days we could sit outside.
Keerthi N — Google review
Having a full Irish breakfast, and some sandwiches and pancakes, not bad! The price was fair, the food was nice. Although I wouldn't have minded a slightly bigger portion. It wasn't really impressive for something called Full. The food was good, and delicious. Although it was a regular weekday, it was very busy, we had to wait for somewhat 15-20 minutes, before we were seated, and once seated, we had to wait somewhat 10 minutes before we could order. But with the location and the atmosphere, it was absolutely worth it. Beautiful location, and very cosy with all the people around you. Although it was busy, it wasn't too loud, and you could easily have a good conversation with your partner. There was even seats outside, alongside the river, very beautiful. I would absolutely recommend coming here for having a good coffee or tea, and then have a cake or anything, but the lunch is rather on the cheap side. Maybe not for a next time, but the cake and tea, absolutely yes!

I can't explain how much we loved the restaurant, it was a fantastic evening... We went with a group on Thursday. We ordered all the menu set to try them. The staff were so friendly and nice. The music was amazing, the players were so professional....I absolutely recommend it and I'll go back as soon as I find free time to enjoy my evening I recommend to reserve your table in advance so you have a secured place to sit specially on Thursdays that they have live music

We stopped by to have breakfast and we couldn't be happier about our decision. The breakfast was amazingly good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views from the cafe are also spectacular. You can be drinking coffee beside the river. I truly recommend this place.

Friendliest people you could meet working there - particularly brown haired man (Monday 23/06). Great coffee & delicious eggs. I was awkward and ordered the eggs Benedict without ham (am vegetarian) & they happily offered kale and mushrooms instead. Top class service and delicious food. Lovely to sit outside by the river. 10/10 recommend!
Alice D — Google review
I spent around €18 at Osta Café and Wine Bar for a solo lunch, and it felt like money well spent. I ordered the toasted goat cheese and beetroot sandwich, which was rich and full of flavour — the kind of combination that’s clearly thought out and not just thrown together. Alongside it, I had a flat white that was smooth and strong, just right for a midday pick-me-up. Finished it off with a fresh scone served warm with butter and jam — light, crumbly, and absolutely hit the spot. The atmosphere at Osta is calm and classy, but still very welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can relax by the riverside and take your time. Whether you're stopping in for coffee or sitting down for a longer meal, it feels just right — not too formal, not too casual. Service was solid too. The staff were friendly without being over the top, and they had everything out in good time. You can tell they’re used to regulars and treat new faces just the same — with a bit of warmth and a smile.

****Original review of 2 stars**** I stopped a local on the street and asked where would she recommend for lunch and she pointed out here so off we set. My husband and I and two kids both under the age of 4 secured a table outdoors at about 2.30pm on Wednesday. We asked for a highchair which we got. We waited a few minutes for menus then we decided on our order. A waitress came to take our order: we originally were going to order soup of the day, open ham sandwich and croque monsieur. We were told that there was no longer soup available or any ham left so we couldn't order either the ham sandwich or croque monsieur. She asked did we want another few minutes to decide, we said yes. Nearly 10 minutes later when there was no sign of the waitress, I waved at another to take our order. Order taken of chicken and spring onion Mayo sandwich@ €6.75; 3 egg omelette with all listed toppings @ €10.50; Breakfast bap €7.20; 2x Babyccinos €1.80; Americano €2.50 & Cappucino €3.20. Coffees arrived relatively promptly in dribs and drabs-Americano 1st, then the Babyccinos but I had to ask for the Cappucino. After 15 minutes of a wait after the last drink arrived, we had to ask where the food was as the kids were getting restless and we were ravenous. Others who came in after us who were seated indoors got served before us. At this stage, we asked how long more our food would be and were told a lot of orders came in together. We were on the verge of leaving. We were told 10 more minutes, I pointed out that my Cappucino was long gone at this stage thinking they may offer another, they didn't. Only after we complained and asked how long more did our food eventually arrive, 30 minutes after we ordered and 40-45 minutes after we had originally sat down. When a different waitress dropped it down, I said we thought the wait had been ridiculous and we were very disappointed & that it wasn't good enough. She apologised. The food was excellent to be fair once we got it but the good had gone out of the meal. I went to pay and told the girl that we were happy with the food but the wait was far too long and was told that they were short staffed today and that we should have been told when we ordered. I said because of this I wasn't leaving a tip. She said she understood. Service needs serious improvement. Staff came across as inexperienced and offered no redress. I wouldn't return nor recommend as a result. *********5 star 2nd review********* Redress kindly & promptly offered by owner after our first experience here so 2nd visit in a week by my husband and I and two kids. Everyone has off days and moments. Today, we ordered 3 egg omelette with all the trimmings, Eggs Osta and half portion of pancakes with maple syrup to share for the kids, a Cappucino, an Americano and two glasses of milk for the kids. Service matched the excellent food on this occasion. My husband said it was the best breakfast (Eggs Osta) he had had in a long time and my omelette was delicious. Keep up this standard of service and thank you.

Located in Lower Quay St, Rathquarter, Sligo, Ireland, The Harp Tavern is a popular spot for visitors of the Sligo Art Gallery. Despite its unassuming exterior, this bar offers a warm and inviting atmosphere inside. It's known for its delicious food at reasonable prices and friendly service. Many patrons have praised the quick service and mouthwatering dishes such as fish and chips, burgers, pizza with onion rings, chips and curry sauce, Guinness stew & mash.
Hands down, it’s such a great place! ❤️ The menu range is good to choose from, and when you order the food, you expect common pub dishes, but when they appear on your table, you are pleasantly surprised because it is so yummy and, most importantly, fresh, prepared from the knife. No rush once you're at this tavern - enjoy! My first time in Sligo, and I found this gem - many thanks to all the staff 🤗

Great pub with a welcoming atmosphere, a nice menu, and a good choice of drinks. The live music was a great touch too. The chicken curry and the burger were both amazing—full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Just a heads up, the portions are huge! We originally planned to have dessert, but after finishing our meals, there was simply no room left. Definitely excellent value for money and worth a visit.

I don’t usually leave reviews but had to leave one here. What a wonderful little place! My first time in Sligo and this was an amazing way to finish the trip. Absolutely gorgeous food, fresh, colourful, the portions are huge and the staff is extremely friendly and nice. My only advice is - if you’re running late don’t order food here because it’s freshly cooked and you have to wait for it to cool down, however the taste of it is worth missing the train!

During our visit to Sligo we asked a few locals to recommend the best place for a Sunday Roast. The universal reply was The Harp. There were a number of Sunday specials in addition to the regular menu. The food was very good. The staff welcoming and sincerely interested in the customer without being intrusive. Reservations for Sunday dining are a good idea. Highly recommended.

Ann and the gang are always so help and always fine a place for you even when very busy. The food is always fantastic never had a bad experience here and been there many times highly recommended. The menu has something for everyone and if that doesn't suit they usually have a variety of specials on.

A real gem in Sligo The Harp Tavern is a cosy traditional Irish pub with a warm welcoming atmosphere. The food is incredibly fresh and full of flavour — the roast beef is the best in town. What really makes this place special is the staff — they are some of the friendliest and most genuine people you’ll meet, always happy to help and full of local charm. You’re made to feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. A must-visit in Sligo.

Gracie's Bar in Sligo is a must-visit for those looking for an amazing cocktail experience. The barmen are highly skilled and the Devil's Chimney is a favorite among patrons. The pub has a lively atmosphere with great music, making it the perfect place to unwind. The interior is beautifully decorated and the staff are friendly and courteous. With a well-stocked bar and local sports broadcasts, it's an ideal spot for enjoying a pint in Sligo.
What a fantastic pub, lovely setting in a very traditional manner, brilliant fresh food, best pint of Guinness in Sligo… I’ve tried a few various pubs, trust me, I’m a Guinness connoisseur…see pic. I wish them every success for the future. Special Thanks to Kellie and Damien, unbelievable expertise, friendly and cordial, even though very busy. Staff faultless. So if you are in Sligo, why are you waiting?

Had Roast dinner and couple of pints. Food was top class and plentiful. Service was quick and very friendly staff made the experience very enjoyable. Pipers playing live when we arrived created a lovely atmosphere and live music later. Decor and cleanliness was impeccable and I've never been in a pub with so many TV screens. This place is unreal.

I’m really disappointed with how my cousin and I were treated at this pub. My cousin is autistic, and instead of showing any understanding or patience, the staff were rude and dismissive toward her. We were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, which completely ruined what was meant to be a nice night out… Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness — especially those who might experience the world differently. I’d really hope the management takes this seriously and provides proper training to their bouncers especially on how to treat all customers with understanding and empathy. We definitely won’t be returning until we know that’s changed. Literally pushing my autistic cousin out at the end of the night which nearly made her fall down the stairs of this pub!

Lovely, lively pub, with lots of different seating areas. Had food upstairs, which was delicious, loads of gluten free options. Staff were v friendly, servers Rachel & Laura couldn't have been more helpful. Trad music playing when we arrived , followed by live music. Super atmosphere. Would have loved to stay longer!!!

Do not recommend, bar staff can’t be bothered making cocktails and tell you there’s no glasses left (bad excuse), glasses are dirty and pint of coors is flat. Don’t be in a rush to get a drink because you could spend 40 minutes at the bar.

Nestled along the scenic banks of the Garavogue River, The Garavogue Bar is a vibrant gem in Sligo Town that truly captures the essence of nightlife in this charming area. With its inviting atmosphere and stylish lighting, it feels almost like a disco haven where you can unwind before heading out for a night on the town.
The Garavogue Bar never disappoints. There's always a great buzz, whether it's live music, a DJ, or a packed student night. Tuesdays during the college year are my favorite – they play proper techno and house, and the vibe is unreal. The staff are friendly, the cocktails are solid, and it's the kind of place you keep coming back to. One of my top spots in Sligo, hands down.
Kerrie-Anna — Google review
Very bad experience, our group spent a substantial amount of money and were treated awfully. The bar staff were very nice but the bouncers need some training. As soon as the music stopped the bouncers started shouting and swearing at us to get out; the lights hadn’t even turned on and we hadn’t even had time to stand up from where we were sat before they started shouting at us. If you wanted to attract more customers this is not the way to behave - shameful
A H — Google review
Tried to take a seat outside where many people were sitting. Bouncer came over being very ignorant telling us "it's half 12 no sitting " with a very ignorant attitude even though it was 12:07 while violently ripping seats from under us. As we left in disbelief he then pointed us out to his colleagues as if we were some sort of scum. Now 1am and people still sitting outside there. There is a way to speak to customers and this is not the way, not impressed and won't be back or recommend this dump 👎

Been going to The Garavouge for under 4 years now , as a student on midweeks and occasionally on the weekends I see many things and used to good surroundings , until last Monday the 19th May, the treatment me and my friends got was nothing short of a disgrace, from bar staff questioning our orders of what drinks we want without any integrity and a lack of professionalism, whilst making cheeky comments under the tongue and to bouncers for vile unnecessary aggressive behaviour. Being asked to leave in an aggressive attitude making verbal threats was definitely not a pleasant experience and took the enjoyment out of the night. What’s more frustrating is the fact we were separated from our group for no reason at all. What happened to ‘The customer is always right’ very poor communication and a lack of humility , won’t be returning shame end to the association in this pub
Dylan P — Google review
The bouncers — both the bearded one and the older man — are aggressive, and the bar staff are completely unprofessional. The manager is just as bad, showing no regard for customers. They don’t respect the people who come in or even the promotions they advertise themselves. This place shouldn’t be allowed to stay open.
Alexis S — Google review
Rude staff throwing us out of our seats, claiming it's past 00:30. Was barely midnight. Didn't mind being told to leave but the way staff treated us was severely, and I really mean severely, hateful and rude. We're simply trying to sit down, why so unprofessional and rude.

All the staff were great but a special thank you to Jamie and Laura who went above and beyond for us. I can’t recommend this venue enough!!!

A 'must visit' on your Sligo stay. Live music every night. Styled to be like a retro sitting room. See can you grab the coveted couch by the fire!! One of the countries most respected cocktail bars. Extremely high quality cocktails made by professional mixologist. The live music line up has a mix of 1 Piece acts to full on 6 piece bands rocking the place. Sundays are their most legendary gigs with the 'Sunday Roast' band jamming the place. But each night you go in, they have quality music. Upstairs is a lovely space and they sometimes host comedy or specialist music gigs there.

Bourbon Bar is a vibrant hotspot located in the heart of Sligo, perfect for both lively nights out and relaxed afternoons. During my recent visit, I was captivated by the energetic atmosphere and an impressive selection of drinks, including freshly made cocktails that are crafted right before your eyes. Although there was a bit of a wait due to only one bartender mixing drinks, the quality made it worthwhile. The bar's friendly staff truly enhance the experience; they are always ready to assist with a smile.
Spent a rainy evening watching the football in the bar with my girlfriend during our last trip to sligo. Really enjoyed the space and the young Australian barman was extremely good even offered to help us plan a pub quiz at the bars sister bar later that night and give us a run down of things on that week. Thought this was really good for people visiting and for the marketing of the bars .

Was desperate for a wee, so I asked to use their facilities. No problems at all. As I walked down the lengthy, dimly lit corridor I couldn't help but notice the calming scent of lavender and pine in the air. It reminded me of childhood days playing aimlessly in the fields of County Mayo. Candles burnt on either side of me as I made my way to the bathroom like a gladiator thirsty for battle. On entering the lavatories, it was as if heaven and earth had collided to hit me with a burst of the most profoundly alluring sensation. The mood was set by dimly lit lamps, wall to wall mirrors, and a number of choice urinals freshly scented with lemon zest. Now was my moment to shine as I had been born to. Would definitely wee in here again.

To anyone wishing to visit Sligo please be aware A Disappointing and Unacceptable Experience: Assault by Bouncing Staff I recently visited Lola Montez with high expectations for a night of enjoyment and relaxation. Unfortunately, my experience quickly turned sour due to the appalling behavior of the bouncing staff, resulting in a distressing and unforgettable incident. From the moment I arrived, I was met with unwelcoming attitudes from the bouncing staff. Despite adhering to all guidelines and protocols, I was subjected to unnecessary hostility and aggression. The situation escalated when one of the bouncing staff members physically assaulted me, completely unprovoked. The assault left me feeling shaken and vulnerable, tarnishing what was meant to be a fun outing. It is utterly unacceptable for any establishment to condone such behavior from its employees. The lack of professionalism and disregard for customer safety is deeply concerning and cannot be overlooked. Furthermore, the management's response to the incident was shockingly inadequate. Instead of addressing the issue promptly and ensuring my well-being, they attempted to downplay the severity of the situation and dismissed my concerns outright. Their failure to take decisive action only exacerbated the distress caused by the assault. Overall, my experience at Lola Montez was marred by incompetence, aggression, and a blatant disregard for customer safety. I strongly advise against patronizing this establishment until they address the systemic issues within their staff and management. No one should have to endure such mistreatment while simply trying to enjoy a night out. For anyone wishing to enjoy themselves for a night out in Sligo please be aware of this and for anyone wanting to travel to Sligo for a fun experience I would advise you to stay clear of Lola Montez until they make serious changes to their staff and their attitude's towards customers as it really was a night to forget After travelling for three to four hours it was a complete waste of time and was ruined by absolute incompetence as I requested staff to look at CCTV footage I was met with hostility to then have no choice but to leave the area in fear of my own safety Taxi drivers in the area have also heard of stories like mine when I explained my story on my way back to my hotel I would highly discourage anyone from attending this horrible place

We went here after Bourban bar on a Saturday night in Sligo as the DJ was giving out free passes. It has a big dancefloor and large smoking area so if you want to party until the early hours this is a good spot. There are lots of stags and hens also which adds to the party atmosphere (but wouldn't be for everyone).
Sinead T — Google review
Worst place I ever visited. Floors were soaking and the staff walking around with a wet mop just moving the wet around. And to top the night off, was man handled by the bouncers leaving me with bruised arms. Horrible place.
Ash — Google review
Bought tickets for Sally C and the queue was crazy and bouncer wasn’t letting people in. People started on us in the queue and there ended up being a big fight and bouncers did nothing. There was no set up for the queue so it was all just really messy. If a venue is catering for such a large capacity they should have the facilities outside and staff outside for safety as me and my friends got bet up. Really disappointing.

Avoid the girl with the red hair behind the bar. Bad attitude for no reason at all. Rest of staff lovely. Great place for a dance.

Night club
Toffs Niteclub is part of the Embassy, a multifaceted entertainment venue that includes the Belfry Bar, the Embassy Bar & Grill, and Snooker/American Pool Rooms. The club offers a small but lively atmosphere with a talented DJ spinning a diverse selection of music. However, some patrons found it odd that there were tables near the dance floor, which limited movement in certain areas. Additionally, there were incidents of broken glass on the dance floor throughout the night.
Great small night club. DJ was very good, good mix of tunes. Only a fiver in. Kinda weird that they have 2 tables nearly on the dance floor which restricts movement to the rear of the club. They should have a policy of no glass on the dance floor, as there were a good few broken during the night, but in fairness they did clean them up pretty quickly

Maeves Bar is a delightful gem located on Rockwood Parade in Abbeyquarter South, Sligo, Ireland. This vibrant spot offers an inviting outdoor seating area that’s perfect for enjoying warm weather while soaking up the lively atmosphere. With fantastic music playing both inside and out, it creates an energetic vibe that enhances your experience. The bar serves top-quality pints and delicious cocktails, ensuring you have plenty of options to sip on as you unwind.
The best bar in Sligo for Live Music and great atmosphere. Lots of funny and nice locals, great music, perfect pub atmosphere. We liked it a lot and would come back without any second thought.

First and the last time. Definitely won't be back for food. Almost everything taste the same. Whatever you have ordered. Dirty glasses. Atmosphere is not bad, but that's it.
Rasa K — Google review
Great spot for drinks. You can order Camile Thai food there at the table. All orders need to be placed online which is good and bad but I prefer that way so it was great time there. Cocktails were nice too.
Eunju L — Google review
Had an absolutely great experience at Maeve’s Bar. The outdoor seating was perfect in the heat – loads of space and a great buzz. Music was spot on both inside and outside, creating a brilliant atmosphere. Pints were top notch, and the service couldn’t have been better. The bar staff even remembered what I was drinking, which made me feel genuinely welcomed and looked after. Shoutout to Eoghan behind the bar – he was flat out making cocktails all evening but still took the time to chat and bring great energy to the place. Absolute legend. Can’t wait to go back – highly recommend if you're looking for a spot with good vibes, great drinks, and even better service.
Niall M — Google review
Pints very poor, cocktails overpriced and come in a champagne glass (advertised in much bigger glass). They've messed up two orders and it takes half an hour between asking someone to take your order and your drink coming. The Guinness was (unanimously agreed by 6 people) one of the worst ever. The music and atmosphere is good though. Come if you want to overpay for a cocktail, stay away if you're looking for pints.
Antoin S — Google review
The place has a very good ambience and decorations. But, the table services were poor and the drink options were limited. Nice spot if people wants sit and chat for a long time.

3 weeks ago today we got married and had the best day of our lives, all thanks to The Dapper Duck . We can't put into words how amazing Andrea and Anthony and all the staff were on the lead up and on our wedding day. The level of detail that was put into every bit of our day down to the smallest detail was second to none. Our day was flawless from start to finish and that is all down to ye. We never had to worry about anything on the day because ye had it all under control 🥰 The service we got was nothing short of 5 star ❤️ As for the food and the cake Annamaria you out done yourself , all of it was amazing 👏 We would highly recommend getting married here 😁

I'm so delighted that we heard about this gem. I didn't know it existed until last week, so we had to pay a visit. There is on the street parking and a large carpark down the side at the rear. The bar and restaurant itself are beautifully decorated, cosy, welcoming, and everything was spotlessly clean. The staff member was very friendly and made you feel very welcome. Today, we had breakfast. My husband had the full Irish, which came with tea and toast included in the price. He said it was one of the nicest breakfasts he's had. My daughter had the pancakes, and I had the French toast. Both were lovely and very tasty. Everything was so amazing and very good quality. I'm already looking forward to going back to try the lunch menu. For all 3 breakfasts, 1 extra, 2 latte's and a tea, it was great value at €31.60. They have been open for 2 years and we have only discovered it and I would highly recommend a visit, its so worth it.

Delightful pub! Great feel to it, real traditional style pub with fabulous food. Great staff too!
Mark B — Google review
Cannot rate this place highly enough. The best service ever from the lovely staff- so welcoming. The passion fruit martini was the best I’ve ever tasted 10/10. Food was unreal and the place is spotlessly clean.
Suzannah M — Google review
The pub looked great but service was a disaster. We waited 20 min and needed to ask them to wipe the table. Instead of asking us what we’d like to order they just disappeared (there was enough staff working and the pub was not crowded). After waiting another while we left the pub thirsty and without trying the food so I can’t say anything about that. It’s a shame!
Michael S — Google review
It’s a really lovely pub inside. I was here when it first opened and the food was excellent. But now the chips seem to be no longer home made. I ordered the Korean chicken tenders which were nice, but how can you justify charging 18.90€ for 5 *small* chicken tenders. The size of a starter and in no way worth the price of a main meal. Was very disappointed.

Food was excellent and top quality.. The food is not the problem here..unfortunately a lot of the staff are un-trained and thin on the ground too..missing basic procedures..when this happens unfortunately it let's the kitchen down..if staff numbers and training can be improved then this place will be at its full potential.
M T — Google review
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming – a perfect mix of cosy and lively without being too loud. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel at home. The food was the real standout. Every dish we ordered was full of flavour, cooked to perfection, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Classic pub favourites done right, with generous portions and great value for money. Whether you’re just popping in for a pint or sitting down for a full meal, this place really delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend and definitely looking forward to our next visit! The server Eoghan was so standout. He works so hard and he made sure we were taken care of for the whole night. He makes the best cocktails in the house. He was exceptional at anticipating all of our drinking needs. He was sharp, thoughtful and handled a busy night with great composure. One of the best serving experiences we’ve had in years!

A real Sligo treasure and a proper old style Irish Bar. Perfect pints, pool table, darts, amazing views, lovely wooden outside space plus an array of local characters who are more than glad to have a chat and guide you around the area. (No food served).

This is probably the best pint of Guinness I have had in Ireland, and I have had . . . several. Bartender quite literally gave the shirt off her back when my husband dumped his pint in his lap - she used her sweatshirt to sop up the spill on the banquette and replaced his pint to boot.
Jennifer R — Google review
Didn't realise the pub was still alive, it's about 30 years since my last visit, it's an old country pub in a very remote part of Co Sligo that dates back to the 19th century, it's a must of a visit to see how pub life was like back in the mid 19 hundreds, oh and we had 2 fantastic pints of Guinness. A must of a visit (if you can find it😄,

Yesterday, I had a delightful family dinner at The Mill Bar. There were four adults and two young children present. The meal was not only visually appealing but also incredibly delicious. One standout was the delectable stack of buttermilk chicken. Furthermore, the staff provided excellent customer service, garnering compliments from our group. I highly recommend dining at this establishment and personally can't wait to return in the future. Additionally, the bar offers great live music, enhancing the overall experience for patrons.
So cozy for Christmas inside. Just had wine but the food smelled/looked great so we’ll return. Also screens for games, plenty of bar, table and nook area seating. Friendly staff, too. 🤗
Mary M — Google review
We had one of our least enjoyable dining experiences in memory, here last night, sad to say. I do not like posting detailed poor reviews. We were seated next to the smoking area door & subjected to double bangs ( the downstairs door was very noisy) and tobacco smells coming up with each returning smoker, at about 90 second intervals. The lighting level was so low it was seriously not possible to see all that we were eating. The entree of chowder was quite nice - thanks! However, our main meals were not great. My four pork medallions were tiny, overcooked ( unless that’s the style here!) and minute compared to the massses of mash that swamped them. The Caesar salad tasted much spicier than any other we’d eaten. This may have just been an off night - at both the restaurant & hotel it seemed local party night and this may have been a factor.

Just had dinner here (chicken burger and wings for my partner) it was very basic for the price and considering it’s a Radisson hotel. Plenty of staff working but the food and atmosphere not great. I think I’d have been safer walking into Sligo town.

As it is in the hotel and they have a captive audience, and it's very busy. I had the fish n chips, it was not amazing for the price at €18, and at €7.50 a pint too, I wasn't really impressed, I should have walked to Sligo

Having been a monthly visitor and encouraging my younger family members also to visit - with each visit I requested a specific beverage which is easily available in most public licence facilities- I was lucky to have x1 bottle supplied within a 24month period - most of which was not purchased by me!!!. Following a very recent + approximately precious 5 visits and no such beverage available I was told that “the wholesaler” did not have in stock - (peculiar as many other establishments didn’t seem to have this problem)also that “nobody wanted to drink this here” and subsequently told that this was not a suitable drink to have available at this establishment by both a male and female service employee - I have to note that at the busiest period there may be 10-15 customers? Not a very “profitable” or popular spot? I was informed that “this is what I sell so choose something else”with no hint of service support or wish to have further profit paying patronage?! Sadly having been a cancer survivor and having various intolerances that have reduced my social possibilities I felt as a potential frequent patron it was not too much to ask for a bottle of specific alcohol that purchased for €30 and approximately 18 servings a fair profit would be made @ €5 a shot?? I then suggested that I bring my own and pay a corkage of €5 so I could share a moment with my 89 year old Dad who has been a patron for over 20years and this was seen as “not possible” after my repeated gentle requests to offer my only beverage of choice. Sad and very poor taste in our beautiful country and “The Village Pub” is now a slow and unfrequented tired dark space that could have encouraged new and fresher possibilities = that could have embraced a positive new frequenting patron but instead created a negative vacuum. If you see fit to not support the locals then Foleys and Connollys and Yeats Local and multiple others will benefit from our patronage. I welcome a change of attitude and will plan to try 1 more visit because I care. ⭐️🙏🌸
