Kino Lounge is a vibrant and spacious eatery that offers a delightful array of international dishes, catering to all tastes with options for vegans, vegetarians, meat lovers, and even furry friends! This child- and dog-friendly spot in Kettering boasts an inviting atmosphere complemented by eclectic decor. Guests rave about the friendly staff who ensure everyone feels welcome from the moment they arrive.
Loved it, great food and plenty of choice on the vegan menu as well as gluten free options. It was busy but we didn't wait too long and it's easy to order at the bar or via QR code at the table. Shout out to Emily for being so helpful with our booking.
Kay T — Google review
As described in another review this is a very eclectic place, both the decorations and the food. And honestly the clientele as well. Singles, couples, and families. The menu food ranges from American to Mexican, Sri Lankan, Korean, Mediterranean and all sorts of breakfast. Drinks likewise cover a wide range of traditional and very creative. Really enjoyable, casual locations to have a meal. And a pleasant surprise, the QR Code ordering worked even with my US phone number and email.
Joe G — Google review
We enjoyed our lunch at Kino Lounge. My only slight criticism is that we asked for extra spicy, which amounted to a few extra chopped chillies being thrown on the top. It would’ve been nicer if these had been cooked into the food. Service was very good though and plenty of options on the menu.
Dave B — Google review
Nice vegan menu and the atmosphere is as well quite friendly and nice. Very open space. You don't have table service but you can order with an app or at the bar and they will bring you the food
Jose M — Google review
Kino feels like one of the trendiest places in Kettering — and in a small town with limited options, it really stands out. The interior design is beautiful, modern yet inviting, and it sets the perfect atmosphere for a night out. We tried a few of their cocktails and they were lovely, well-balanced and thoughtfully presented. We also ordered a few small bites, which were tasty and complemented the drinks nicely. If you’re looking for something a bit more stylish and fancy in Kettering, Kino is definitely the place to go.

Dropped in for breakfast with a friend while we were visiting from Shropshire. We have been before and it never fails to deliver. Lovely atmosphere and great food and service. We will be back.

Delicious food in a beautiful building. Also we received our drink orders very quickly.

Always a great place to visit no matter the time of day. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The decor is what you'd expect from a lounge, there's always something new and curious to look at! Food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. Full of people meeting friends, writing books, working or just enjoying a good meal by themselves.

Pub
The Stitching Pony, which reopened in September 2016 after a significant refurbishment, is a charming pub located on Market Street. Named after an old device from the local footwear industry, it has a rich history with previous names like Gaiety and Watercress Harry's. This inviting establishment features a long bar that leads to cozy rooms filled with comfortable seating options, including high stools for those who prefer to perch at the bar.
First time in town fir a whilefor an old git and his mates. I was a little apprehensive drinking in town centre pubs. But was surprised, very friendly staff and customers made us very welcome. A very enjoyable evening was had by all. Will visit again very soon. Good beer and reasonably priced.
Peter — Google review
Extremely friendly bar staff, great deals on drinks, and because it's a traditional pub, and not a restaurant, there are no children running around. There's different things going on most nights and live music on Sundays. Customers are friendly and have good banter with the bar staff.

DO NOT LOOK DOWN FOR MORE THAN 10 seconds. They’ll think you’re too drunk and ask you to leave even when you’re looking them dead in the eye and answering their every question. ARE YOU FOR REAL?! Management: You can reply at will.

Nestled on a charming street in Kettering, Wayfarers Inn is more than just a pub; it’s a vibrant hub of local culture that invites visitors to dive into the community's rich heritage. This lively establishment not only offers an impressive selection of drinks and hearty meals but also serves as a platform for local talent, featuring live music and art displays that transform the space into an engaging gallery.
The food in the Wayfarers Inn was much better than I was expecting. It was all delicious and plentiful. There was one bloke behind the bar and he was very overworked, so service was a little slow, but he was very friendly nonetheless. There's a big beer garden and free off street parking too...
David M — Google review
Excellent local family pub. Family and pet friendly. Staff are all very helpful, Sarah, Tracy, Diane to name a few. Food is always tasty and well priced/plentiful. Nice atmosphere. Sports shown too.

Had to nip in while waiting for someone, warm welcome, reasonable cost and a nice atmosphere and decor.. They obviously do food but it wasn’t on when I was there. I would say spot on for a quiet drink and food 😊 Great outdoor seating area too
D B — Google review
This has become our regular Friday night spot to meet up with friends. The pints are reasonably priced (mid-range), and while we haven't sampled the food ourselves, the atmosphere is consistently good. They often have live music playing, which adds a nice buzz. A real plus is the excellent outside area – it's well set up with heaters, comfy sofas, and even has a play area tucked away round the back. Great for drinks and catching up.
Joseph C — Google review
Great food (especially the homemade cheesecake), friendly staff who always go above and beyond! Lovely outdoor area with small play area for children. Fantastic pub!

I have had a Sunday lunch here on many occasions. If you enjoy a roast, have the beef. It's to die for!
Chris F — Google review
The Wayfarers, Kettering: Sunday Lunch So Good You’ll Cancel All Future Plans 🍽️🍻 Some pubs serve food, and some deliver a Sunday lunch so perfect that you briefly consider moving in. The Wayfarers in Kettering falls into the latter category. After a recent visit with friends and family, we can safely say that if you’re not spending your Sundays here, you’re doing weekends wrong. The Atmosphere: Cosy, Welcoming & Perfectly British 🍺🔥 From the moment we walked in, The Wayfarers felt like home—but with better food and fewer washing-up duties. The staff are fantastic, the decor is charming without trying too hard, and there’s a proper, old-school pub warmth that makes you want to settle in for the long haul. The kind of place where you arrive for lunch and suddenly it’s dinner time, and you’re mysteriously still there. The Food: Sunday Roast Perfection 🥩🍗 Let’s get to the main event—the roast dinner. We’re talking about plates so beautifully stacked with meat, roast potatoes, and Yorkshire puddings that you consider taking a photo but are too hungry to wait. The portions are generous, the gravy is rich and plentiful (as it should be), and the veg is cooked just right—none of that sad, over-boiled nonsense here. • The beef? Cooked to perfection—not so tough you need power tools to cut it, not so rare that it’s still mooing. • The chicken? Juicy, well-seasoned, and absolutely not just an excuse to eat more stuffing (but let’s be honest, the stuffing was incredible). • The roast potatoes? Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and so good you’d happily eat a whole plate of just them. • Yorkshire puddings? Absolute clouds of golden perfection, holding onto gravy like their life depends on it. And if, somehow, you still have room after all that, the desserts are dangerously good. Sticky toffee pudding? Yes. Apple crumble? Essential. At this point, we’d gone way past full but powered on out of sheer respect for how good everything was. The Service: Friendly, Efficient & Always Up for a Chat 👏 The staff here strike that perfect balance between attentive and relaxed—they’re there when you need them but never hovering awkwardly. Drinks were promptly refilled, requests were met with a smile, and they didn’t judge us when we briefly debated ordering an extra portion of roast potatoes “for the table.” The Verdict: The Only Place You Need for Sunday Lunch ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re in Kettering and haven’t had Sunday lunch at The Wayfarers yet, fix that immediately. It’s everything you want from a proper British pub roast—huge portions, amazing flavour, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay for “just one more pint.” Five stars—plus an extra one for the Yorkshire puddings, because they deserve their own award.

Nice pub in Kettering, garden with a little playground, the Sunday Roast was good and the home made dessert was super delicious.

Pub
Nestled in a charming corner of Kettering, the Alexandra Arms stands out as a true haven for craft beer aficionados. This inviting pub boasts an impressive and ever-evolving selection of brews that range from beloved local options to exciting international finds. The walls are adorned with countless pump clips, creating an intoxicating visual feast that adds to its unique character. Inside, you'll discover a spacious back room featuring a Northamptonshire Skittles table, perfect for some friendly competition among patrons.
Marvellous boozer. Good beer, good company, many beer mats on ceiling and crazy crap on the walls. Would return! £4 a pint lads. Get in here.
Chris G — Google review
We popped in one evening 7 months ago when we were passing the area. We were welcomed by the friendly bar staff. Nice pub. We liked the atmosphere. We especially liked the beer mats that covered the walls We since returned lastnight. Different vibe. Great night. Friendly staff, welcomed once again, would absolutely return
Pickle P — Google review
Enjoyed the ambiance in this pub on a flying visit to Kettering. I used to do this beermat thing in my schooldays before I was supposed to be drinking what sat on top of them so it took me back to see a similar effect. Very well kept beer and some interesting new ones to me as well as one of my favourites, Jaipur, tho I didn't have that this time out. I left with the distinct impression you aren't going to get a bad pint in here.
Andrew C — Google review
A hidden gem been to Kettering so many times and never found this place before. Friendly bar staff good selection of cask ale and for a Saturday late afternoon seemed very busy.

Outstanding choice of real ales and cider. All well kept and reasonably priced. Northants skittles alley. Friendly staff with a sense of humour. Dog friendly - dog treats kept on the bar. Only food is a selection of rolls - but this is a pub for beer.

Telford Lodge Brewers Fayre is a delightful family-friendly pub and restaurant located in Northamptonshire, perfect for those seeking a relaxed dining experience. With a menu that features classic dishes alongside international favorites, there's something to satisfy every palate. Signature offerings like the BBQ Platter and Big Stack Burger are sure to please, while dessert lovers can indulge in treats such as Caramel Apple Betty or Triple Chocolate Brownie.
Went here for dinner as I couldn’t be bothered to cook. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. We ordered a smothered chicken and mixed grill with pepper sauce. Both meals were thoroughly enjoyed. Cooked perfectly and definitely hit the spot. Kristie was a standout member of staff, service with a smile while professional at the same time. Will definitely be going again soon.
Alison S — Google review
An evening meal that deserves a 5 star review. Wasn't sure what to expect but this Brewers Fayre delivers a good experience, nice friendly staff, and a good atmosphere. Food: Easy ordering at the bar, no delays in food being bought to the table. We ordered the Haddock and Chips and Smothered Platter. Hot food, nicely presented, if any criticism it would be that the steak was a little chewy and mushy peas a bit overcooked but everything else really nicely cooked. The deserts were really good and coffee and teas refillable, that was a pleasant surprise. Service: The staff are very friendly and efficient, our waitress pointed out what was not on the menu and details about the deserts. Table was cleared promptly between courses. The restaurant was busy but the service remained efficient. The restaurant and bar reminded me of an old fashioned pub, good food, good drink and a good atmosphere.
Sandra H — Google review
Telford Lodge Brewers Fayre is a spacious pub/restaurant with a soft play area that’s handy for families with toddlers. It’s located right next to Premier Inn and just a short drive from Wicksteed Park, with the added bonus of free parking for up to 3 hours (make sure to register your number plate using the tablet provided inside). There’s plenty of seating and the space can easily accommodate large groups, which makes it good for family meetups or casual get-togethers. Unfortunately, the food was a letdown. While the prices are reasonable, the portion sizes are quite small and the quality is mediocre at best. Food was served quickly and the kids’ meal was the best, good selection so kids enjoyed it. The interior of the pub feels quite dated and could really benefit from a thorough clean and a modern update. Tables and chairs are old and need changing. The overall vibe was more tired than cosy. The soft play area is a nice touch for little ones, but overall, the place feels like it’s in need of some serious attention. It’s okay for a quick stop if you're staying nearby, but definitely not somewhere I’d go out of my way to visit again.
M M — Google review
I had both dinner and breakfast during my stay. - Breakfast was good — hot, fresh, and enjoyable. I particularly liked the fried eggs and coffee. It was a standard but satisfying breakfast. - Dinner was less impressive. I ordered a burger and chips for £14, which is a reasonable price, but the chips had a fishy smell, and even the fork seemed to carry the same odour, which made the experience unpleasant. Also, there was no table service — you have to order at the bar, which I’m not really a fan of. On the positive side, the burger itself was tasty. Overall, breakfast was enjoyable, but dinner could definitely be improved.
Shayan A — Google review
Very friendly staff. Popped in for lunch with my grandad before his hospital appointment and the lady server Elise was very friendly and was very attentive bless her. The man at the carvery called Adam (I think) was very pleasant. Helped my grandad with his portion size. Lovely friendly staff and the food was decent.
Nathan — Google review
Regularly come for the buffet breakfast. Friendly staff (Gail's great), food is good value and the coffee's decent. Some places have jugs of instant but they've proper machines here. Now, if only they improved the WiFi I might come twice a week instead :) Lastly, you can't beat the kids eating free. Amazing value for money, especially during the holidays. My son loves the soft play centre.
Sean P — Google review
Went for breakfast but the food was cold literally not even warm, I asked a staff member if the hot try was working as food was cold and was told it's because it's a cold day and when the door is opened it blows through. I decided to have the continental breakfast very reluctantly, I was asked if I wanted it put in microwave but declined. A short while later a staff member came up to me and said what she had told me was right but also the light on hot plate was of so yes it was cold, to be honest I thought it was good for her to tell me. Was only charged for continental for me and my 3 guests but even though they changed the hot plate then food was hot but by then I had filled up on toast so was totally gutted.
Elen Y — Google review
The pub was nice, food was good. Most of the staff were lovely. A couple of them thought it was OK to swear (not at us but within general chatting...) We held a wake there the following day. The food was good and plenty of it for the package we ordered. They were very accommodating to our needs.

Miller & Carter Kettering is a delightful destination for steak lovers, renowned for its exceptional British and Irish beef steaks that are aged to perfection for 30 days. This award-winning steakhouse not only excels in meat but also offers a tempting selection of seafood, with grilled sea bass fillets being a standout dish. Vegetarians will find plenty of delicious options as well, complemented by an impressive array of desserts.
We were treated very nicely and the food was really good, great atmosphere and I couldn’t stop eating what they got me it, it was that good!! And to make the mood better they have really great music on to give you the vibe you need. We were assisted by a really kind and nice staff Andrea who was an absolute pleasure!

It was our first time visiting Miller & Carter Steakhouse and wow were we not disappointed. Service was brilliant with Andrea as our table server; she took our drink and food orders quickly and efficiently, consistently asked if we needed anything during our meal, and was incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly. The food was utterly delicious and worth every penny. Will definitely go again. - From the family up North

Experience was great. Been a while since ive been to this location as prevously had several small issues with food so tended to visit the Northampton branch instead. However it seems to be much better now. Shout out to Andrea, she was very friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and accommodating.

This is not the first visit to Miller & Carter , but it’s usually a very special experience. Lucy - our waitress has been extremely friendly, helpful and very professional as usual (she has been serving us couple of times before). Not a complaint, but almost all dishes were unsalted this time and one side were twice bigger than the same second portion. But it’s just a small bits and as I said before it’s a lovely place with lovely staff and gorgeous food, so highly recommend to everyone 🖤

Our experience was lovely. We were sat at our table swiftly and our food and drinks were everywhere so tasty and came quite promptly! The topping of it was that our waitress Andrea was absolutely amazing and engaging and made the experience even better. (Thank you for dealing with a fickle customer like me so kindly!)

Nestled in the charming town of Burton Latimer, The Olde Victoria is a quintessential traditional pub that offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for any occasion. On sunny days, guests can enjoy al fresco dining in the lovely garden area, making it an ideal spot to unwind. Patrons appreciate the friendly service and vibrant ambiance that enhance their dining experience.
Visited for Sunday Lunch on 26th May. We did book the week previously, and glad we did as i dont think we would have got a table. Parking is plentiful if you have an earlier booking, but can be busy later on and you may have to park away from pub and short walk in. Plenty of seating outside, especially if weather is warm. I had a pint of San Miguel and my wife had a Malibu and coke, which was £9.20. We were seated at our allotted time and the restaurant was busy but tables not too close and they cater for larger parties. There is a 2 or course option for Sunday lunch, we opted for the 2 courses for £25. I had the topside roast beef and my wife had the chicken. There is an option for Lamb shoulder (i will be having next visit). We were served quickly and the staff are very attentive and friendly. My roast beef was delicious as were the roast potatoes, Yorkshire, the roast parsnips and carrots, were also yummy. The veg came out seperate with peas, beans , leeks and cabbage, all of which were very fresh and cooked to perfection, we asked for extra veg and extra gravy. I think you get a better deal with the Chicken option as you get pigs in blankets and stuffing, which you dont get on the beef?? Anyway, my wife said it was the best roast she has had in more than a decade (high praise indeed). I have to agree, the meal was delicious and the portion generous as i could not finish my beef. We could not fault a thing on the plate, so compliments to the kitchen staff. For desert we had Sticky toffee pudding, i had custard and my wife had extra sauce and butterscotch ice cream. It was light yet scrumptious, and we were both full to bursting. The toilets were lovely and clean and probably the best toilets i have visited in a pub/restaurant for along time. Overall, value for money and the food superb. The service excellent, especially Tim the manager, a lovely kind man. By the way for all 3 courses it is £32. We will be back in the next couple of weeks as this was the best Sunday lunch for miles and miles.
Arthur M — Google review
The Olde Victoria is a really pleasant place with a warm, welcoming vibe and great people. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was buzzing, lively but not too loud, just the right balance for a relaxed meal. We ordered the duo of beef, which included a beautifully cooked short rib that was rich, tender and full of flavour. The roast ham and eggs was simple but satisfying, and the strawberry sandwich for dessert was a real highlight, fresh, sweet and perfectly put together. The food overall was excellent and definitely the star of the visit. Service was decent, but a few small things held it back from being great. We weren’t offered any sauces or extras, and getting the check took longer than expected. That said, the staff were friendly and polite, just a little slow during a busy time. Final Thoughts Great food, good people and a buzzing pub atmosphere. While the service could be a little sharper, I would definitely recommend The Olde Victoria for a solid meal out.
Daniel R — Google review
It’s a nice pub for a drink, that’s about as far as it goes. The food is consistently underwhelming. Today I ordered the fillet steak open sandwich, the meat was as tough as old boots. I didn’t even get asked how I want it cooking, even Wetherspoons do the courtesy of asking that! It’s been disappointing on multiple occasions. It’s a shame as the pub is nice and the beer is good, the food is not on par with the rest!
Dan T — Google review
Wonderful place! The staff are all amazing. The food is brilliant. Have the Sunday lunch, delicious and very good value (choose from 2 or 3 courses for a great price).
Rich P — Google review
We visited over the bank holiday weekend whilst away on holiday with family. What a lovely pub! Great food with wonderful service with friendly, approachable staff. The poached pear choux bun, was delicious!! They had lots going on for the children, but we just had a meal and left. The magnetic boards they offered the children were such a great idea and kept them entertained through the whole meal. We also loved that both male and female toilets had changing facilities (we no longer require this, but appreciate that it’s very rare that places accommodate for both parents to change a nappy!)
Madeline L — Google review
Lovely pub & restaurant with great staff. Friendly & accommodating. Food is excellent! Not cheap but worth it. Nice pub garden too, trees & benches. Lovely to sit out in the sun with your kids or dog or both!
Claire F — Google review
I have only really been here for lunch a few times and I absolutely love the plate to share. It has pate, scotch egg, pork pie, pickled onions and beetles, as well as tiny pickles, ham, cheese, bread, the works! For less than £20 for two people, I feel like it is excellent value, and the food is very tasty. The staff are very nice, but when you’re outside, and it gets busy, it’s easier to go in and get more drinks than to wait for staff to come to you. Well we booked a table for four. It's not cheap but on par with other pubs however the atmosphere was good and the food really nice with portions on above average size , especially the deserts. I'll be back but will have to save up lol...

Nestled in the heart of Kettering, The Peacock is a vibrant pub that perfectly blends contemporary decor with a welcoming atmosphere. With its inviting beer garden and lively themed food evenings, it’s an ideal spot for both casual outings and special celebrations. The friendly manager Chris and his dedicated staff ensure that every visit feels personal, whether you're enjoying a bottomless brunch or hosting an event like a baby shower.
It has been literally years since we've been to the Peacock. What a change! The atmosphere and decor are much improved, the team working were friendly and engaging. Breakfast and coffee were hot and tasty. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely visit 💚

Food was highly disappointing! You’re paying adult prices for children sized meals! The sides did not even fill the ramekin but was paying £2.50/£3 a side… when complaining as we had just spent near enough £40 on the food the man couldn’t have cared less. Just kept saying it’s HR decision, there was 0 empathy. Used to be regulars and enjoy the food here but. The food and customer service has massively gone down hill.

This welcoming spot not only serves delicious meals but also hosts an array of lively events such as live music shows and quiz nights, making it a perfect destination for both celebrations and casual outings.
We popped in for a roast today, the beef was cooked to perfection, it melts in your mouth. The roast potatoes are the perfect combination of crispy and fluffy. The whole meal was beautiful! Hats off to the chef. I would definitely recommend.

Awful place. No care for staff, customers or the overall atmosphere. They use their staff and then fire them straight after events, they pay extremely late and they’re just lazy. Do not go here, I do not recommend it, go to Aura, The Stitching Pony, Wetherspoons or just stay at home. 😂😂

We took the time to pre-book a table, on arrival although the table had a reserve sign on it people were using it. We were offered alternative seating on bar seats! This was not an option for us and found our own table. Drink menu was nonexistent for ale or bitter drinkers. We ordered our food and drinks, after 10 mins some came to advise that one of our food options was not available so new meal ordered. Food came roast dinners were great, pizza was questionable and the boa buns were a let down. During our food a waitress came over to see how things were and decided to clean some glasses and plates as she did this she leant over my mother in law who was try to eat her meal! We ordered from the 3 puddings the restaurant offers and after a good 5 mins the waitress came to say one wasn't available. Surely with only 3 puddings on the menu they should know what wasn't available. 15 mins later we were informed that there would be a slightly longer wait to receive the other two ordered puds. At this point we gave up paid the bill and left. I can 100% say we will not return

Our first visit to the Snooty Fox and oh did it deliver. The food was amazing, best oysters I have had ever. The lobster is still swimming around the tank when you order it. The drinks menu is an absolute joy especially the wine list. Staff are lovely and really helpful. A real pleasure and if you like seafood then you must visit this place. I will say and this isn't a criticism but you get what you pay for and this is the best of the best.

Thank you Snooty Fox I will be back :)

Not for the faint hearted! These meals are BIG! Loved my dishes and happy with the price. A little slow being offered drinks but they told us all about their cigars which was nice as we could have easily over looked it.

What a fabulous place! Take friendly staff, a nice welcome as we arrived and what a menu. Granted, not the cheapest, but the food was sublime, well presented, delightfully cooked, and the food was front and centre to the experience, we had coffee outside afterwards, which just wrapped things up for us.. I love about 45 minutes away, but it's well worth the journey to get there.. I had scallops with black pudding, which was so flavoursome to start and half a lobster, which was an impressive size, well worth the money. The other main had was a lobster roll.. simple, but very tasty.. The lemon meringue was the right condonation of tangy and crunchy, chewy meringue..

Lovely place to go out on a Saturday. We had some tasty starters( lobster arancini and beef carpaccio). We went for the burger the sirloin steak, perfectly cooked. The plum tart and apple deserts were delicious too. Definitely going back to try something else from the menu.

The Wama's Lounge invites you to indulge in the vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean, where every dish is a celebration of rich tastes and smoky grilled meats. This inviting venue not only serves up delicious meals but also features a cozy shisha bar, perfect for unwinding with a refreshing tea or cocktail. Guests have raved about their experiences here, noting how the atmosphere has transformed into a warm and welcoming space filled with attentive staff.
The atmosphere and food here is perhaps the best quality that Kettering has to offer. The price and portion amount is amazing. I’ve came here multiple times with friends and every single time the customer service quality has been top notch. I decided to give their new Turkey Rasher Carbonara a try today and I have to say that it is perfect, the creaminess of it isn’t over the top nor too little. My friend ordered the mix Shish and said that it is spot on, in terms of tenderness and flavor. They also do have a Shisha Lounge which is also very relaxing as they also have heaters to keep us warm when it gets cold. You’re able to watch your Shisha get made, mix and match your flavors. It’s honestly just perfect. Special thanks to the Owners, Steve and Megan for always giving their 100%. In my opinion, this is the No.1 Restaurant in all of Kettering and would highly recommend this to anyone who has yet to try this place out.

My partner took me here for a meal to celebrate my birthday 🎂 🥳 even though I've lived in Kettering quite a few years, I'd only been there once before many years ago and didn't enjoy it. Well, I was amazed at how much it had changed from the food quality to the service and atmosphere...I had a great time 👍🏽😊 the food portions were big and everything we ate was delicious 😋 I was also serenaded with happy birthday song by the servers with sparklers while they presented me with a big chocolate brownie (with a candle on top)! Also, the cocktails 🍸 are great 👍🏽 👍🏽 All the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely revisit there when we plan our next dinner night out 😊

The fish was not fresh and it was over cooked to hide the smell but did not work, the fish was too dry. As for the pasta, it tasted terrible, we only had a few mouthful, i did not enjoy the food but the environment and the waiters were great! I will not go back through because i wasted over £40 on the food that was stale and overcooked.
Maude M — Google review
I didn’t visit so I’ve put atmosphere at 5 stars as I cannot comment. Please see image attached. £40 for a kebab. Two pieces of meat just larger than my finger. I’ve ordered from here close to 10+ times. Never again.
David H — Google review
Went on a Monday for a late lunch, so the place was completely empty. Service was fine, chap who served us was nice. For me personally the music was far too loud to have a relaxed lunch, the decor was pretty tacky with the chairs having these gold tipped legs, most of which had either been removed or fallen off. Then received a “complimentary salad” which was a weird cold flattened gherkin thing with red cabbage. The bread was stale, cold and cubed. Incredibly dry and felt like I was putting loft insulation into my mouth, thankfully the £5 glass of coke that I ordered came to my rescue, £5 well spent. Not sure I’ve ever been that disappointed with bread before. I then ordered a lamb grilled kebab, rice was the nicest part, again the lamb was incredibly dry and needed to be dowsed in garlic sauce. The flavour was okay but the texture was pretty rubbery and dry inside. For some idiotic reason I had it in my head to then try a shisha pipe, as I’d never done one before. Tried the Savacca frozen Smurf - possibly one of the most unpleasant things I’d ever had. Tasteless, very rubbery / plastic tasting with a very odd aftertaste, was quite expensive. Better off going to the shop and buying a £5 vape. I would’ve raised this with the staff but just thought this was normal - until visiting a different Turkish restaurant and realising how poor the experience at Wama lounge was. If you’re looking for a Turkish around Kettering, best to go elsewhere.

Exceptional service and food. We celebrated our son's 23rd birthday and waiter was brilliant. Very polite, friendly and professional. All our dishes were delicious and fresh. We had mixture of vegetarian and meat dishes and the quality was amazing. The waiter went above and beyond to help us celebrate. Birthday Baklava slice with candle for was a lovely surprise. Highly recommended.

I went to their recent soul night where they had different DJs. Lovely to dance to those tunes from back in the day! It's a nice bar which are few and far between these days.
CZ J — Google review
That's definitely frustrating. When a business advertises a specific offer, you expect them to honor it, especially when the promotion is still displayed for all to see. It's misleading to have a poster in the window promising a "2 for 1" deal until 9:30 PM and then tell customers the offer expired an hour earlier. Unfortunately, this can happen at some places. The staff might be busy or simply forget to remove outdated promotions, but from a customer's perspective, it feels like a "bait and switch" tactic.

Harry was a great waiter, very attentive and very friendly - the service from him was seamless! Food was lovely and a great atmosphere.

Me and my partner went early doors on a Saturday afternoon, for a couple of drinks before our dinner, it was quite cosy and quiet to begin with which was awesome and they had the best songs on. It filled up quite quickly though and turned into a fun party atmosphere which was awesome too, if we hadn't a table booked, we would have stayed all night I imagine. There are so many traditional pubs round here with great ales and stout aimed towards men which is nice, but its lovely that's there is somewhere that's a bit more marketed towards ladies, somewhere a bit more glam and cosy <3

Went for my birthday back in August. Was quite hectic with new covid restrictions - was told we could only stay for an hour and ended up going to get our straws from the bar after asking twice which kind of defeats the object of table service. This being said staff were ofcourse under a lot of pressure with the current times and new rules. Overall Aura is lovely, very clean, nice vibe, great cocktails and good prices. Will definitely be back once everything has died down!

We were a group of business colleagues socialising and enjoying ourselves until the security team arrived and started to cause trouble. One of their team picked on one of our group for wearing a hat, when he had been sitting there all evening wearing it without a problem. Our friend was then physically and aggressively removed with force for wearing this hat. We left with our friend because of this unprovoked and unwarranted aggression by this security team member. At no point prior to this was he warned by staff that wearing the hat would lead to this action by the security team. If that’s the sort of establishment you want then fine but this is a warning for everyone who doesn’t.

Popped in for lunch, service was very friendly, opted for the jerk chicken kebab with garlic mayo, served with chips. Tasty and reasonably priced. The meal with a drink came to £18, I'd definitely eat here again.

I visit The Lilacs with three friends on a regular basis and we always have the steak meal. We enjoy the food, the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly, efficient staff. Yesterday I went with my Sister and her partner for the Sunday carvery and it was great. Carvery`s can be a bit hit and miss in my opinion, but the food and service was on a different level yesterday. A proper Sunday lunch with the meat and all the usual vegetables and trimmings cooked to perfection. Well done to all the staff for making us feel so welcome. Looking forward to the next visit
Andy H — Google review
Having lived in the area for 25 years I have never been to this pub in a local village. A friend suggested meeting here for dinner. The service was exceptional, the food was amazing (I judge food by the chips and they were chunky and plentiful!) We had the special which was a beef stew and it was delicious. The lady that served us was a little gem. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.
Pam — Google review
Visited for the first time this Sunday afternoon after having spied the Lilacs whilst out for a walk a couple of weeks previously. What a lovely place, a bit TARDIS like, it's bigger on the inside than it looks this is a really nice pub, with a big open airy restaurant and multiple outside spaces. The Sunday menu is good, not a wide selection, but everything on the menu appears to be well balanced and from our experience is done well. We had starters, carvery and dessert and all were lovely. The carvery was one of the best I've had, veg wasn't overcooked or dried out from being sat on the hot plate too long, the meat was juicy, tender and cooked nicely and the cauliflower cheese I could have eaten by the gallon. A delightful selection of desserts were on display in the cabinet, and the chocolate and cheesy mousse dessert I selected was beautiful, a rich deep flavour whilst still being light enough after a big meal. Topped it all off with a latte with Bailey's in and I was a happy man. The staff were all really friendly, and very attentive and helpful, service was quick and came with smiles and personality. We're already looking at when we can return to try the regular evening menu and another of the cakes from the cabinet.

Wow! What a find. The Lilacs is a great place to meet friends and eat. From the great location, the warm welcome to ordering food was truly excellent. Our food was delicious, well presented, hot and the chips were awesome 👌. We will be back very soon. Thank you to all at The Lilacs

Lovely friendly atmosphere and family run. Delicious food and not expensive at all. Especially considering the large portions served. When I visited there was a great act singing great songs. I had a thoroughly enjoyable night and will definitely be returning again and again. Nice to find a 'proper' pub for a change.

What a wonderful place! Real home cooking, big portions but small prices. A genuine warm, friendly welcome. I'll be visiting again and can't recommend it enough. A true gem!

Ignore the photos added to other reviews, I nearly let them put me off, but good home cooked food doesn't always photograph well. The lasagne was delicious and obviously made with love. The lady serving us was lovely, and I paid £15 for 2 meals and 2 drinks, which was amazing. I will definitely be back.

Great little local. Good selection of drinks and food at reasonable prices. Plenty space, loads of games, also do a lot of events plus live sport. If your in the area it's well worth making it your local.

Bar
Nestled in the heart of Kettering, The Wine Room Kettering has quickly become a beloved spot since its opening on April 30th. This charming venue offers an impressive selection of wines and unique Duration beers that are hard to find elsewhere. Guests rave about the beautifully presented cheese boards, which include delightful vegan options that even non-vegans can't resist. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, enhanced by a carefully curated music playlist that adds to the funky vibe.
A real hidden gem in Kettering. This place is perfect for delicious cheese boards and a well thought out wine menu. The women who own it are so friendly and really care about delivering top customer service. I will certainly return!

Great cheese, great wine, great company, great service, all in all a great place! A really impressive array of delicious things to sip and munch, beautifully presented and in a really unique and lovely setting. We'll have to go back to work our way through the menu!

We have just had the lovliest date night in a long time thanks to the Wine Room Kettering. Laura and Sam were fabulous hosts, regularly checking up on us and making conversation and offering the best customer service. It’s a wonderful hidden gem in the heart of Kettering’s Yards with outstanding vegan options which were great for my partner and I. The vegan cheese board and cheese options are absolutely out of this world!! Thank you for opening this great place girls, we’ll definitely be coming back again and again! - Alex and Corey

I have been a regular visitor since they opened on 30th April. This is great news for Kettering as The Wine Room serves Wine and Duration beers not widely available. The cheese boards are well presented with a great choice of cheeses including a Vegan selection which I often select as they taste so yummy. The staff are as bright and bubbly as the Prosecco they serve and there is a funky vibe re the interior with a decent music playlist. The ideas are flowing too. Wine tasting, Book clubs and stylish brunches to name but a few. And they also ask their customers what they would like. Out of the box thinking. Laura & Sam are a sun drenched blessing on Kettering. I am unlikely to go anywhere else in Kettering for my evening ambience now as this beautiful new business caters for all my needs.
