Nestled in the vibrant heart of Odiham's high street, The Red Lion is a charming coaching inn that dates back to 1736. This inviting venue is perfect for gathering with friends and family over a delightful selection of fresh, seasonal dishes from its extensive pub-style menu. Open daily for lunch and dinner, with breakfast served on weekends, The Red Lion caters to all palates with its seasonal offerings and dedicated gluten-free options.
Very good in all aspects. Not your modern chain type accommodation, but good. Reception was especially helpful in providing information and other requirements (iron etc). Valerie was particularly helpful. Clientele seemed to be mainly couples.

Group of 10 of us for a pre theatre meal. Excellent, attentative service by all staff. Menu choice not brilliant, but good value for money - not silly prices like other places we've been lately. Food all came out together and was hot and delicious. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Whether you're a tourist or on a business trip, this is a superb place to stop for a night or a longer stay. It has a very pleasant local feel in every respect : the rooms, the meals, the breakfast, the pub... The premises are clean and the hosts are so friendly. Excellent ! Fareham and the surrounding area are superb.

I meet our group of writers at The Red Lion Fareham every month for lunch. The food is great, good price too. We ordered our meals from the Brunch menu at 11 am and not for the first time, served by Dan. Not only is he efficient but cheerful and friendly too. Highly recommend.

Staff, bar, restaurant especially breakfast were fantastic.Rooms in the old building could do with a bit of updating. Don't let that put you off. Rooms are spotless lovely place great value all round.
Andy H — Google review
Rooms are dated and damaged, but kept nice and clean. Breakfast is fine but the evening meal we had was very poor quality. The hotel is well located to the town or allowing for travel
Mark F — Google review
We had a meal and drinks at the Red Lion and it was very good and excellent value. Served by Phil who immediately picked up on our Yorkshire accents and did everything to make us feel welcome . The food was very good and the drinks hit the spot.

Stayed here a few times over the years now, love the building, the service, really nice restaurant, just think the rooms need a bit of work especially the bathroom. Nonetheless always happy to return!

Slug & Lettuce - Fareham is a stylish bar chain that offers an enticing cocktail menu and a diverse selection of global dishes, all set in a contemporary atmosphere. Their brunch experience is particularly noteworthy, featuring two delectable dishes paired with bottomless options like wine or beer. The venue itself boasts unique charm, having been converted from a church while retaining some original features.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Service from Rhea and Beth! Had an absolutely brilliant experience at Slug and Lettuce thanks to the amazing service from Rhea and Beth. From the moment we arrived, they were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. Our food was brought out promptly — no waiting around or chasing anyone up — and everything was fresh, hot, and exactly as ordered. The 2-for-1 cocktails were an absolute highlight, and Rhea and Beth made sure they were served quickly and perfectly mixed every time. They checked in regularly without being overbearing and made us feel genuinely looked after throughout our visit. Their professionalism, efficiency, and friendly vibe made the whole experience feel extra special. Big thanks to both — we’ll definitely be back soon because of them!
Courtney B — Google review
Exceptional customer service skills by a member of staff named Rhea, she was very friendly and she went out of her way to make sure that my mum got a meal that she would enjoy as she is a very fussy vegetarian. We enjoyed our meals and the quality of the food was outstanding especially for the price of it as well as the prices were very reasonable for it too. We will defiantly be coming back very soon.

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you all for making my Hen night absolutely fabulous 😍 Mikey stood out for us all last night, hosting our cocktail masterclass. What great fun!! Mikey, you were so patient with us all, and really made our evening - THANK YOU 😘 My sister later misplaced her phone and the staff couldn't do enough to help, namely Jackson and Sarah - THANK YOU 😘 Delicious food too. I'm aware we were a bit of an energetic bunch, thank you for accommodating us. We would definitely come back for another night out again. WELL DONE ALL AT SLUG AND LETTUCE FAREHAM.

Came here for a hen do bottomless brunch and was served by Rhea! Made sure we constantly had a drink, table service was second to none. Thank you Rhea! 🩷

Had a lovely evening using our virgin experience voucher, all staff seemed happy and attentive on shift. But a big shout out to Bethany our server who ensured we were happy with everything, even to the point she ensured I checked my steak before eating due to being heavily pregnant and wanting to make sure everything was right! Food was lovely, the non-alcoholic cocktails tasted great! Only down side is please give more options on the experience for beer not everyone likes peroni aha!!
Elishia W — Google review
Had two visits in two days. Ordered via phone app. Food arrived as described and we were happy. Nice and quiet during the early afternoon. On the second day all was good except the time waiting for food and drinks to arrive. Will certainly return and stay longer when time allows.

Brilliant food and cocktails everytime, served by Rhea today who inspired this review with her top quality service.

Visited here for lunch whilst exhibiting my Morris minor during Bygone Fareham. The buffet supplied was ample. Very tasty. You could take what you wanted. Sadly some people abused this privilege by taking more than needed. I was told any leftover food would be handed to the homeless seeking an exsistance in Fareham. I though this to be a lovely gesture😊

Nestled by the Canalside and a short walk from the iconic Spinnaker Tower, The Alchemist Portsmouth offers an enchanting bottomless brunch experience. Indulge in their Alchemy Cocktail Brunch featuring loaded baps, maple bacon pancakes, and French toast alongside theatrical cocktails and lively music. Situated in Gunwharf Quays, this two-story venue boasts a terrace by the waterside and pays homage to chemistry with concoctions like the Colour Changing One and Lava Lamp.
Such a great place. Great tasting cocktails and great atmosphere. Adam is the most insane bartender I've ever seen. He's super quick and efficient and memorises orders with ease (we literally ordered 8 different cocktails and he was straight on it and I wasn't waiting for long at all). Fantastic bartender with great skill and amazing service. Lovely place to come for drinks. Don't expect it to be cheap because the quality is always going to put the price up and the quality is amazing.
Lisa-Marie B — Google review
We went for the Boundless Brunch at The Alchemist Portsmouth and it was excellent value at just £45 per person. For the quality of food, service, and drinks included, it actually felt like a bargain. The vegetarian selection is brilliant, with plenty of choice and well-prepared dishes. Service was friendly, efficient, and we didn’t have to wait for a table. The atmosphere was relaxed but lively, making it perfect for catching up with friends. There’s a great mix of seating options too – indoor, outdoor terrace, and comfortable booths – so it works well for any occasion. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend for brunch in Portsmouth – great food, great cocktails, and surprisingly good value for what you get.

I am here on business by myself. I found a quiet table in the corner out of the way. The staff were attentive and polite. I had the Chicken Katsu Curry with rice. It was excellent...the breaded chicken with an exquisitely spiced sauce and perfectly cooked rice. I suspect the cocktail mixology would be equally good but I don't drink much these days. I would definitely recommend a visit.
Alexander L — Google review
It was an unforgettable evening! I want to thank everyone from the Alchemist team, you guys are professionals in your field! Great atmosphere, delicious food. I had a unique opportunity to see a cocktail master class, Frankie showed magic and I was lucky to see it, the emotions are indescribable, it was a wonderful interactive show. I definitely recommend visiting this place, it's worth it.
Nataliya D — Google review
Brilliant service and cool entertainment with the drinks. Tom and Eszter were our servers and were friendly and efficient start to finish. Really cool place to try out, we had 3 drinks, A Sirens Kiss, Sea-weed and The Legal one.
Matt B — Google review
We visited on a Thursday evening, after a lovely evening of shopping till we dropped. We were welcomed and shown to our table by front of house. We were served by Tom whom we all agreed is an absolute asset to your team. As for most of us it was our first time visiting Alchemist, Tom talked us through the drinks menu, explaining which ones would give us a theatrical experience. And let's be honest if we're going to a venue with a name like Alchemist of course who wouldn't like acting as a scientist whilst making 'potions' to make cocktails. We ordered food too and loved the way it was presented especially the chicken coming in its on basket. The evening was amazing, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you Alchemist Portsmouth, we will definitely be visiting again as well as recommending to family and friends.
Harprit P — Google review
First off, what an experience! We're absolutely 🌹 IN LOVE 🌹 with this place. The atmosphere is lovely, nice music to relax to, comfortable seating and free wifi. The charming man creating our drinks was Frankie, he taught us about the fascinating cocktails he was making for us. Over all, we need to come back because we have more cocktails yet to try! We recommend The Alchemist. It is SO worth it. We've got some beautiful memories to look back on. The drinks included in the photos: 1st photo "The Mad Hatter". This was a warm very new to my taste buds but it was very intriguing. 2nd, the second photo is the "High Voltage" ⚡ this was one of our visually satisfying favourites, it's like a plasma ball and came with an 'electric syringe'. We was told if we put it in our mouths it would make it numb, so we added it to our drinks sensibly. 3rd, third photo is 'Wray of Light' 💡 this was made using freeze dried ice, the steam coming out was very entertaining. 4th, the fourth is called "Cosmic Conch", as you pour your drink a blue light illuminates from inside. The 'sea foam' forms at the top of the Conch. 5th, fith photo is "Lavender Rain". On our arrival this was the drink we seen at most tables so we had to try. The flavour is so unique and tasty we could definitely have drank more than a few of these! Gorgeous. The glass used to be old honey despensers (Knowledge from Frankie).
Jedi P — Google review
I had an absolutely top-notch experience here! The food was sensational, especially the Cosmic Conch, and the fries were just perfect in taste and temperature. The drinks were spot on too, with great quality ingredients. The service was friendly and attentive, making everything smooth from start to finish. I can't wait to come back for another round!

Pub
Nestled in the charming town of Fareham, The Titchfield Mill is a historic gem that dates back to the 18th century. This delightful venue offers a unique blend of classic and modern cuisine, making it an ideal spot for food enthusiasts. Its proximity to a national nature reserve adds an extra layer of appeal, inviting visitors to explore the beautiful surroundings before or after their meal.
Dinner and a break. After a busy day we had a real challenge finding where to eat, after an hour sat on maps we chose Titchfield Mill. On arrival we asked for a quiet table and were really pleased with the small nook where we were seated. After a good look over the menu I was torn, lasagne or lamb shank,I decided on the shank, wifey went with the sea bass and the nipper went with a burger. Christina our server was very polite and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was amazing but the building it's self is looking a bit tired but definitely did not decrease the enjoyment of the food.
Neville S — Google review
We had a great experience at the Titchfield Mill. We came for a Sunday roast, I had the beef and my partner had the slow cooked pork belly, both were cooked immaculately by the chef Harry. Our server Matthew was so incredibly polite and attentive, all the staff were. Overall a great experience, and we’ll definitely be back!

Brilliant service from Matthew - really friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was exceptional - Harry in the kitchen knows his stuff! We will come again soon!

We had a delicious Sunday lunch at The Titchfield Mill, cooked by Gary and served by Matt. I loved being able to pop out and see the mill wheels and hear the water, but the best bit was the untapped gravy! You can’t beat a roast with gravy for days. Thanks for a brilliant lunch.

First time visiting today and certainly will not be our last! Matt our server was friendly, professional and efficient! Also compliments to the chef Gary! I had roast beef Sunday dinner and the beef was the best roast beef I’ve ever had. It was pink in the middle, no fat and cut like butter. Wow wow wow! So impressed! Lovely lovely find!

The Still & West, located in Old Portsmouth, is a spacious split-level pub offering a European gastro menu and stunning views of the harbor. The Grade II listed pub seamlessly combines contemporary style with traditional maritime charm, providing a perfect setting for relaxation and enjoying the seascape. With leather sofas and outdoor tables, it's an ideal spot to savor refined pub classics made from fresh seasonal ingredients while taking in the picturesque backdrop.
We are a first time customer and I am sure we will be back as the food was delicious and the views are outstanding. I could of spent hours watching the boats go by. I had the fish pie and this was the best fish pie I have ever had. The staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of paid parking nearby. We will definitely visit again.
Travelmad999 — Google review
We love this place... I don't think you can get a better location to sit and have a meal or watch the world go by with a drink. It's in the perfect setting surrounded by history, right next to the waters edge, where you can see the spinnaker directly ahead of you and watch the massive ferry ships come and go. The building itself is immaculate with lots of lively, little finishing touches. We sat inside to eat, in the window overlooking the sea and watching the sun go down. The food was lovely, really enjoyable and the service was spot on. We then took our drinks outside and enjoyed the sunset. Such a lovely pub 🍻 we always come here when we visit the area.
Debra R — Google review
Portsmouth all and all stunning but this place absolutely worth the visit.. We celebrated my birthday in here & the whole team made us feel extra special ❤️ Food was delicious, drinks operations were available... 10/10 Above all the location is fantastic. We enjoyed the whole evening, I'd say this place literally one of the best restaurants we ever visited 😀 😍 Massive thank you and welldone to the whole team 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
D S — Google review
Nothing beats sitting in a pub on the edge of Portsmouth Harbour watching the ships go past so close that you can almost touch them. Add to that a varied menu to suit most tastes and you’re on to a winner. Food was excellent, service spot on, and on a warm sunny day you can make the most of the outside seating area.
Alley C — Google review
Lovely venue with a great view of the setting sun each day. Incredibly, even in blistering heat, their glass room stays cool too which allows guests to enjoy the stunning sunset in comfort
Andrew L — Google review
Great place! You need to be sited by the sea to enjoy the experience of watching the maritime traffic passing by. Really good fish and chip, and perfect chicken schnitzel. Great to Finnish with a Gin and Tonic!
Arsenio F — Google review
Perfect spot to watch the ships go by with a pint in hand. Traditional yet welcoming atmosphere. Can get busy at peak times, but the views and classic pub charm make it worthwhile.
Alena O — Google review
Great spot in the summer for a beer and bite outside on their patio and watch the ferries / cruise ships come and go. Outside and downstairs seating are self serve & first come first serve. The fish pie, and fish & chips were great. We gave only 3-stars on service as we had made a reservation for dinner and asked for a table by the window and they offered us the only table without a view or window tucked beside a wall. The host didn’t seem to care blaming a wedding reception as a reason for less options and wasn’t helpful overall. We ended up just grabbing our own table outside instead. This would be my recommendation - go self serve at this place.

My first time at this pub. Great service, especially from the older guy with the beard. Very knowledgeable. The food was lovely too. We wanted something small-ish, so we ordered the Steak frites for lunch, which was £11, and we all really enjoyed it. The cheese sauce was particularly good. Nice atmosphere.

We had a Rum experience with dinner. Callum was very nice, pleasant, knowledgeable and enthusiastic in delivering the experience. Selection of Rums was a good choice. Though I would say it was quite noisy as sat in middle of bar, so it was sometimes difficult to hear Callum. This was for my husband’s birthday and we each enjoyed it. Meal was okay, though thought might had more of a selection..

The BEST afternoon tea in the area!! I have tried many afternoon teas around the area and I have also been to Cackleberrys several times. But this is by far the place that does the best afternoon tea in the area. Everything is so fresh and so much effort is made to attention to detail and presentation. You also get a lot for your money so it is extremely good value and everything is absolutely lovely quality. The staff in there are so friendly too and attentive, nothing is too much trouble. Nestled in Fareham, The Cuckoo Pint is a hidden gem that promises an enjoyable experience for everyone. This spacious pub and restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but step inside to discover a lively atmosphere complete with pool tables, dartboards, and multiple screens showcasing all the big sporting events. The menu features a delightful array of quick bites alongside classic ales and beers that make it perfect for casual dining or catching up with friends over drinks.
From the outside it does not like like much but once inside, the pub/restaurant is actually very big with pool tables and dartboards to keep you entertained. There are also tv dotted around for sports and from the posters they also have regular live entertainment. Whilst this is dog friendly, it is dog friendly in the garden area. However, we were pleasantly surprised how big the garden area was with a big section under cover with a big tv for sports fans and heating. It is also nicely decorated. For convenience, there is a small car park onsite. The staff are all very friendly and engages in conversation with customers. I think this is part of their training and I applaud them for it. For is very good value for money. For the price, it is very good both in presentation and taste. I would definitely return. Highly recommended.

Lovely pub looks bigger on the inside, friendly service at bar and the waitress very respectful of your boundaries. I had a meal with my dad who had lasagne whilst I had scampi on the 2 for less than £12 ! Well worth the money and good quality ingredients. Parking very easy on the side shared with the co-OP. Great atmosphere not too busy on a Saturday evening. Sports TV'S with pool table and darts board too.
Graeme B — Google review
I visited The Cuckoo Pint last night for dinner with my partner. We were greeted by a lovely young lady at the bar who welcomed us warmly, let us know we could sit wherever we liked, and checked if we were familiar with how to order. A great first impression! When we went to the bar to order drinks, it was quite busy, so there was a bit of a wait, but the same lady served us and was incredibly friendly and clearly doing her absolute best despite being on her own. Her positive attitude really stood out. We ordered food and were told there would be around a 45-minute wait, which we were fine with as we were happy to enjoy our drinks in the meantime. The food arrived as expected and was delivered by a young lad. He didn’t seem particularly enthusiastic, but given how busy it was, he looked understandably stressed, we appreciated that he was doing his job under pressure. We stayed for another drink before heading off and overall had a pleasant experience. The pub has a nice atmosphere and we’d definitely return. That said, it was clear the pub was very understaffed during our visit. Only two team members were running the whole place, which just isn’t enough for such a large and busy venue. It’s not fair on the staff, and it does affect the overall experience when wait times get long. Hopefully this is just a one-off, but it’s something worth looking into… it would be a shame to see such a nice pub lose custom because of staffing issues.

Popped into The Cuckoo Pint in Stubbington last night for a drink and was really impressed. Although it was quite busy and there was only one barmaid working, she handled it brilliantly, super friendly, efficient, and clearly great at her job. Despite the rush, she made sure everyone was served with a smile and kept the atmosphere upbeat. The pub itself has a warm, welcoming vibe with a nice mix of locals. It’s got that classic British pub charm and a good selection of drinks behind the bar. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area, I’ll be back for sure!

Great meal with the family to celebrate my mum's birthday. The food was hot and tasted great. The service was friendly and welcoming My only minor issue was I asked for my steak to be medium- rare but it came medium - well. That said it wasn't tough and still tasted fantastic.

I had come in for a drink at around lunchtime this afternoon after an early finish at work. I frequent the local pubs in the area often, today I had thought I'd pop in to the Cuckoo Pint... The young lady serving me was ever so polite and nice to chat to, however my spirits were quickly dampened when, whom I assume is the manager or owner, brought the atmosphere down by humiliating and degrading her colleagues, making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome... The pub looks lovely on the inside, lots of stuff to do and people to talk too... and there is lots of potential, but I fear the superiors will be the downfall of this pub if the attitude towards their employees isn't corrected.

New to the area so we reserved a table for our Sunday evening meal. Booking in the bar staff failed to tell us that we needed to order our food at the bar. A waiter who also kept walking backwards and forward to the only other table that were eating also didn’t say anything. We waited nearly 20 mins eventually going to the bar ourselves and asking. The food, 2 roast dinners weren’t too long in arriving but the carrots included were dark orange mushy slices that tasted disgusting. The broccoli on the other hand was almost raw so much so that I couldn’t cut it with my knife. We complained and were bought replacements. However by then most of the rest of our meals were eaten so it’s a bit miserable eating a lot of vegetables on their own. The carrots were better but the broccoli again was still somewhat crunchy to eat. We decided not to order a dessert. As we were finishing our drinks a lady came to review the set up of the tables for the next day. She proceeded to shout instructions to the staff across the dining room. Oh dear not a good first experience of what will be one of our local pubs! Sorry the Cuckoo Pint but you could do better!!!

Love this pub! Friendly staff, always something every night, sports on tvs, mini beer festivals and a great friendly atmosphere. Food is good and always LOTS of it. Recently attended the curry night and the portion (curry, sundries and a drink) for under £13 is insane! A great place to go

Nestled at the top of Fareham's bustling High Street, The Richmond Restaurant is a delightful gem within the family-run Lysses Hotel. This charming eatery welcomes both hotel guests and non-residents alike, offering a fixed price menu alongside an enticing grill selection. For those seeking a more casual experience, light lunches and evening snacks can be savored in the cozy bar and lounge area.
Went here for lunch with friends. The food was excellent as always, but could have been hotter. The staff were very pleasant, but the service was a bit slow, and although we like to take our time, the gaps were a bit too long. That won't stop us from returning tho

Went for Sunday Roast with family for my birthday. We did book a little later around 2pm. Had crayfish tails for starter, sadly it looked like the scraps as had lots of bits but not many tails. I had beef for main. Asked for more gravy. It never came. It was only ok. I've had a lot better. I've always heard good things about their restaurant so was really looking forward to my birthday treat, but we were all somewhat disappointed, we won't be back

We had our Xmas party here, the food was really lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend it
Louise G — Google review
Sadly, for me, the meal we had could only get two stars although aspects of the meal were fine – my mushroom risotto was delicious and desert was tasty – and hence three stars as a rating. But the 'special summer menu' feels weak. Starters in particular are unremarkable and (because our table had just-about all the options between us) were not very successful. They looked OK on the plate but lacked tasty oomph! The pulled pork pate lacked herbs or spices that would have cut through the fattiness. The real issue was with service. Over ONE HOUR between finishing my main course and the arrival of dessert, and that was only after tracking down staff to trigger seeing the menu for desserts. And waiters really should not refer to older members of the party as 'darling' or reply to each part of the order with 'no problem'! There was an event on elsewhere in the hotel that night, which may have meant that waiting staff were pulled in to cover that event. But to be left for one hour is unacceptable and frustrating, and spoilt what we hoped would be a nice meal. I will not return to The Richmond because this was a bad experience.

Nestled on the outskirts of Portsmouth, the Red Lion Hotel is a delightful pub restaurant and hotel that exudes charm while offering excellent value. Its prime location makes it easily accessible for those traveling via channel ferries or coming from major roads like the A3(M) and M27. During my recent visit for lunch, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality provided by just two staff members—one at the till and another serving tables—who made my experience truly enjoyable.

The Spinnaker Tower, a prominent landmark in Portsmouth, offers visitors an unforgettable experience. Standing at 170 meters tall, it provides stunning 360-degree views of Portsmouth Harbour, the South coast, and the Isle of Wight. The tower features a glass-floored platform and an on-site cafe for visitors to enjoy. Constructed with an elegant design, it has become a national icon for Britain since its opening in October 2005.
Absolutely amazing place with breathtaking views and a lovely cafe. I visited on my second ever trip to Portsmouth as I was mesmerised by the first visit and knew I had to come back. I visited on a week day and there was no wait in the morning. We were instantly greeted by lovely staff who were very welcoming and kind. The lift was extremely quick and even for me, someone who isn’t fond of lifts, I rather enjoyed the trip up because of the facts the staff member was giving us on the way up. I arrived on the viewing deck and immediately was amazed. You could see all the way to the Isle of Wight and across Portsmouth. The glass floor was especially cool (but scary!!) and was amazing to go on. We made our way up to the cafe where we got to further enjoy the views and have some lovely snacks and drinks. The top floor was also very cool, with the feeling of fresh air and a telescope to look through. The gift shop was also lovely and I got a mini model of the tower in there which I adore. We had a day ticket and we came back in the afternoon and enjoyed the views once again. Overall great experience and something definitely not to miss when visiting!
Eliza — Google review
Loved this! Bought a day ticket, which meant we could go back anytime during the day. As it was a bright, sunny day, the views were wonderful. It was very busy in the morning due to school groups, I would recommend going later in the afternoon. Much less busy and a more relaxing visit altogether! The glass floor was fun. We had tea and cake in the cafe and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience - we even forked out for the photos and have been able to download them at home as well. Obviously a sunny day helps make the experience better!
Stephanie C — Google review
I was lucky with the weather and had gorgeous views all round. It was fun watching ferries and other shipping coming in and out. One ferry had some nail biting moments entering a narrow port area! Next time I will book an afternoon tea up in the clouds.
Kate A — Google review
Worth booking at least 24hrs in advance on line to get a discount. Pay on the day is £18.95 adult price. Get the lift to the viewing gallery and see great views across Portsmouth Harbour, the Solent and the Isle of Wight. There is a section of glass floor you can walk over looking all the way down to the ground. There are stairs leading further up to the outdoor garden. There is a cafe in the tower or plenty of eating places in the surrounding area.
Shaun J — Google review
Beautiful view, blah, blah. It is the staff that make this such a wonderful day out. From the ticket desk, to the lift operator, to everyone in the Spinnaker Kitchen, every single team member we interacted with was absolutely delightful, smiling, helpful and lovely. Thank you to everyone who works there 👍🏻

I came to visit Spinnaker tower on the 17.10.25. I did not realise it was the towers 20th Anniversary. It was well worth the time and money being up in the tower was absolutely amazing, you could see the isle of Wight, Southampton and even Gosport. The view from up above is simply breathtaking. We will definitely be coming back during the night.

The Spinnaker is a great experience. The views were stunning. There was a lovely rainbow. I didn't dare to walk on the glass floor, it had several cracks in the glass.

Great, if a little pricey activity to include on a trip to Portsmouth. Fabulous views on all three levels IF you time your visit to when it's clear. For Best value book 24 hours in advance. The Coffee ☕ lounge on the middle deck is well worth stopping by. Team member Caroline, who was on Coffees during my visit, deserves a huge shout out as she is very customer focused, hard working and welcoming.

Late afternoon / early evening... Service at the bar was poor - this is where we had to order and waited 10 mins with no one there - almost felt unwelcome. Servers at the table really nice - thank you Izzy! Starters - Duck Gyoza very tasty but can't work out how to dip anything but a whole one into the soy dressing....Just poured dressing over over everything on the plate! Chilli's were hot but dish overall delicious. Focaccia starter great! Mains - Chicken milanese very crispy / dry crust ; pepper mayo, pepper dressing and fries excellent, Ribeye - wow... but come on All Bar One!!! - lots of customers asking for mustard with steak plate and still none provided! Sharing dessert platter all yummy but please provide additional plates so we can eat easily. Gavi wine...always a 😍 Thank you
Jennifer S — Google review
The breakfast was pretty good, and service was timely, however I thought that the music was too loud inside for a breakfast/lunch ambience, the tables were very sticky and a great many of them still had dirty plates from the last customers laid out on them. When I ordered, I asked to substitute out my mushroom for a hash brown and was told this was not possible. I had the option of extra beans (or veg of some kind) so I opted for more beans. When it arrived it was barely even bigger than the regular beans. Photo for comparison with a regular beans pot inside mine. It's ridiculous that this is considered 'extra' beans. Also after 12 noon, a member of my party ordered a coffee, only to be told that this is not served after noon. We then discovered that coffee is on the regular menu without a restriction on timings so she returned to the bar, to request the coffee once again. She was then told that the coffee machine was broken which I suspect to be a lie, as they changed their story on approaching the bar for the second time, and people had been served coffee (including me) only minutes before.

Service very slow went for my daughters birthday and knowing that children weren't allowed in past 9pm the service was so slow we got told we had to leave soon. If we'd have had our order taken a little sooner that would have helped. Not very busy either to busy chatting behind bar. Also had ran out of some sides to accompany the dishes didn't apologise just said not in till tomorrow? Always loved slug but sadly disappointed.

Great service from Michelle she is a credit to your establishment. Everything was fine except my ribeye steak was very sinuey and cheery despite being cooked exactly as I wanted it so no disrespect to the chefs just a bad cut. Everything else great and the children were really well cared for and looked after, which is the main thing so we will be back!

Only popped in for a brekkie after two years to give The Harvester another go, thinking it would improve and then we had to wait over an hour and a half for our food. On arriving the ladies gave a friendly smile/welcome, took our seats and ordered our food, all being good so far. When the food arrived my husbands large plate with over done sauces, black pudding and hard yolk eggs along with melted butter that had to be pour on the hard toast. My husband wrote a review only for the answer to come back with " you should have asked for the manager, well I called over a lovely lady only to ask "should MY EGGS be like this (photo attached) not mentioning the burnt/overdone bacon, the lady replied "definitely not" and went to get more eggs, only when they arrive looking more like fried eggs and by this time the rest of my food was cold! However we ate most of the food due to a long day ahead. The eggs benedict is the worst I've ever had and won't be coming back again. Although the lovely lady couldn't apologise enough.

Visited on 17th July 2025 with my friend and her 2 year old. We were first to arrive and the waitress was very polite and showed us to our table. We arrived just after 9am. More people started to arrive for their breakfast. How ever they got there food before us which didn't seem right and we didn't get ours till about 10 am which was nearly an hour. The one mushroom was very over cooked and chewing and the sausages were also very over cooked. We will not be visiting there again.

I went for a quiet lunch, which I got. Myself and friend wanted to try the steaks they had which was ribeye and rump. I have to say, the chef “Harvey” cooked them to perfection, medium rare. Our waitress “Shannon” was very lovely and made sure we had everything we needed at all times.

Had a lovely meal tonight with my family, Dylan who served us was very friendly and helpful and kept checking on us. He kept us informed on wait times even tho clearly it was a busy night for the staff. Dylan has great customer service skills. Enjoyed our visit. Kids ate most of their dinners which lately has not been the case. So that's a win, and we all enjoy the salad bar.

1st time visit and will definitely be back, I had the classic breakfast and for me was cooked to perfection 👌, portion size was big and did struggle to finish and seeing as I was feeling very hungry when we arrived this certainly filled the void, the server was friendly and attentive, food came out within 10 minutes so was happy with that.

I came here on a Saturday evening with a group of my friends for a meal, drinks and a catch up. The pub has been refurbished and it looks beautiful. A nice gentleman showed us to our table. We weren’t sat in the new refurbished side of the restaurant (maybe due to the size of our party) but that didn’t matter because we had a lovely quiet table and the whole restaurant is nice and clean. Our server was Michelle and she introduced herself in such a lovely warm manner and was so polite, she made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Michelle couldn’t do enough for us, she made sure we had drinks the whole time, even topping up our refills despite us being able to do this ourselves. Our food was perfect, hot on arrival and we had everything we had ordered and needed. The salad bar was great, all topped up with fresh food. A lovely experience! Thank you Michelle

I have to say, after reading some bad reviews I was pleasantly surprised. The food is so good! The wife had 8oz sirloin which was cooked to perfection and I had the butchers bangers block and I'd say this is the best meal I've had in a long while also cooked to perfection, yes the prices are quite high but I guess you pay for quality. The steaks are spot on and delicious. Whenever I’m in town, this is one of my preferred places. UPro-tip: if you get the roasted mini-potatoes, any steak is well worth dipping into the garlicky butter at the bottom of the pot! Yum 😋

Fabulous new tapas range including some delicious rump steak, chargrilled chicken skewers and a great portion of massive garlic prawns. The chimichurri salsa stuff was utterly delicious too. Decent prices £22 for four dishes (£5.50 each!).

We went in for a few cocktails before going to the cinema. The advert said 2 for 1 on the cocktails. I was disappointed that they had to be the same cocktail. So we had 2 each. They did look nice but no fresh fruit it's all dehydrated and didn't look appitizing. The mojito was not nice. There was no taste of the mint they put something else in it so I would call it a mojito. It was not refreshing at all that it should be. We also had another one ( I can't remember it's name ) but that was nice apart from the dried fruit that made it not appealing to the eye. From what I seen of the food it did look nice and will probably go back to try the food.

It would only have only taken a little to make this 5 starts. The steak was amazing, we paid extra for seafood £6 only gets you 2 small prawns 🤯 Mine came without the scallops as they were still cooking. The starter's came out in dribs and drabs also, as not all ready together. It wasn't busy when we ate so I think some work needs to be done with kitchen. Children meal was spot on, burger was cooked perfectly (a bit red). I didn't enjoy the triple cooked chips, they weren't anything special, in fact tasted a bit like old potatos. Puddings were good & children's meal was very well priced. Good cocktail & popcorn is a nice touch.

Went for Boxing Day Lunch. Fantastic experience all in all. We had 3 menus to select from which was excellent considering it was Christmas time, all of the many options sounded incredible for starter, main and dessert. The wait for the main to arrive was around 45 minutes which is understandable given how busy it was. Fantastic, friendly staff. Would personally recommend the Lemon Pousset for dessert. The view of the water and across to the Isle of white from our table was also amazing.

Great pub in the seafront for a meal or for a drink with friends/family. I had the fish and chips wich it was a decent protion and the fish was okay wich i was expecting haddock or cod and i had something else wich i never had it before. chocolate brownie with salted caramel sauce as a dessert and it was on the specials menu. Our nan had the crayfish spaghetti with chives and she said it was delicious, she would come back if the chef put it in he's menu. The atmosphere is good, nice views if you book a table next to the window, good costumer service from the waitress. I would recomend this place and I will come back if I'm arround the area.

Best pub lunch of any of the pubs we’ve tried whilst staying locally. Busy, popular place serving an excellent menu; we were a group of 5 on New Year’s Day. We sampled the Daily Roast (rare, generous, thick slices of pink beef); the fish & chips (large piece of cod with delicious batter & thrice cooked chips & salad); the pork belly salad; the pie & the double bacon cheeseburger. All excellent & eaten overlooking the beach & the view to the Isle of Wight. Well cooked, generous portions & tasty, washed down with pints of cider & Fursty Ferret amber ale. Great experience; efficient friendly staff. Dog friendly! Perfect after a bracing beach walk. Sadly we didn’t have room for desserts. We will return!

We visited whilst passing on a walk and were fortunate enough to get a bar service table with a sea view (weekday lunchtime). There didn't seem to be a large selection on the menu, but the food was well cooked and presented. I wouldn't make it a regular place to go, but would certainly use again.

A great venue after a nice walk with the family on the beach. We could not get into the restaurant but ended up outside on the decking. Ordered beef roast dinners and kids meals. The only reservation... the cheeseburger ordered from the kids menu was made for an adult (mustard burger sauce and relish). You cannot get coffee downstairs and have to go up 2 floors to order it. It would be beneficial to allow guests to order on the veranda with waiting staff delivering to the table. Would have given 5 stars if I did not have to get the coffee.

Great views and great food. Free car parking but the service wasn't good at all. We were rushed to order and then a long waiting for a couple of drinks. Then we ordered some food and some more drinks, we had to remind them a few times about the drinks and the sauces never arrived.

I visited Osborne VIew as it was recommended to me. Probably the best burger I have had in a long time. Very nice and I look forward to coming back when I next visit the area. Great views too, but it was starting to get dark so my picture doesn't do it justice! Thanks very much

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had the pleasure of visiting Cam's Mill in Fareham this past weekend, and I can honestly say it was an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a warm and charming atmosphere. The service was exceptional; the staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The menu is diverse and filled with delicious options. I tried the [insert the dish you ordered], and it was simply divine! The flavors were so fresh and well-balanced. In addition to the wonderful food, the ambiance of the place is perfect for a relaxing dinner or a special celebration. The venue has a unique charm with its cozy decor and stunning views. We recently visited Cams Mill in Fareham for a Sunday roast, and it turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The setting itself is lovely, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to unwind on a weekend. For our main, we chose the roast pork belly, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked—juicy, tender, and full of flavour—while the crackling had just the right crunch without being overly hard. The sides were just as impressive: fresh, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. Everything complemented the pork beautifully, making it feel like a proper hearty Sunday roast. To drink, we had a Peroni, and it was exactly what you’d hope for—refreshing, crisp, and served ice cold, which paired wonderfully with the richness of the pork. The highlight of the meal, however, came at the end with dessert. We went for the sticky toffee pudding, accompanied by a pot of tea, and it was hands down the best part of the visit. Rich, indulgent, and comforting, it provided the perfect sweet finish. Overall, Cams Mill delivered a fantastic Sunday lunch experience, and we’d happily return.

First ever visit by my wife and I. We had a very warm welcome from the staff. Also the staff were careful to check the menu choice as my wife has a nut allergy. We were very well looked after by Kelly and Tracy. We had a spritz, 2 main meals (fish pie and chicken schnitzel), garlic cheesy bread, a sticky toffee pud and coffee and all were excellent. Thank you Steve & Linda.

The place looks lovely, set in a restored looking barn with lovely views over Fareham Creek. Staff were lovely and service is great but the food just needs to improve. At premium prices, it should at least be half decent but overdone fries and meat on both occasions that we've been isn't really acceptable. Improve this and it's a 5-star venue.

Some waiting. Decided to pop in for a sit down meal with the wife, we didn't book but it was pretty quiet for a Saturday. We were seated in a nice quiet corner by a lovely fire place. We order our drinks which took 10 minutes to get to the table, once we got our drinks we order our mains then we wait what seem like ages (actually 40 mins). The food was superb and well worth the wait sadly the waiting was not over. We then sat for a further 15 minutes with empty plates waiting for the desert menus. It was at this point we caught the attention of Woody who was super attentive and in a tiny pair of minutes had cleared our plates and we were browsing though the deserts, the desserts were prompt and really tasty. Woody had saved this meal for us and was keen and honest. We happily paid the top and would eat here again.

This is a lively (noisy) purpose-built waterside pub. Very attractive. Understaffed. Food is Fullers standard fare, ok not fab, not cheap. What really makes me mad is the drinks prices - in particular, wine. What on earth is it all about charging £12 plus for a 250ml glass of red wine? £30 plus for a very ordinary bottle! Surely common sense dictates you would sell more if you didn’t charge such outlandish prices?! Not going back.

What a great place to eat, expensive pub food at its best. But, £14.60 for a large glass of Rosé? Bit steep. Extra good on a sunny day sitting outside.

Yesterday we were heading back to the station following a work trip and needed to get some food for our long journey home. With limited shops around we popped into this lovely pub to see if they could do us any takeaway food. Joey was behind the bar and gave us great customer service as he went out of his way to ensure we could get the food in time to then be on our way to the station. It was a tight squeeze time wise but we were so grateful for the assistance and we managed to make our train. Thank you so much Joey for not turning us away, we appreciate it!

Diners have praised the warm and friendly atmosphere, even during busy times like Mother's Day. Guests have shared their wonderful experiences with attentive staff who go above and beyond to provide exceptional service.
We had a leaflet dropped through our door inviting us over with 40% off mains. Our brilliant evening spent here started with a warm welcome from the very nice manager at the front desk. All the staff were really good at their jobs and cheerful on a Friday night even though it was pretty busy and they were clearly working hard. We had mains of sea bass, salmon, a burger and ribs. No complaints around the table at all, as everything was hot and fresh. My sea bass was perfectly charred and not overcooked which is great skill over a grill. We shared two sundaes which were tasty and generous with the sauce and brownies. We'll definitely return.

My partner and I usually have a great experience here and it is our go to place for a meal out, by passing many places on the 6 mile trip. However tonight was not great at all, starters were at our table in 10 minutes, however after that we waited more than 50mins for our mains. At this point my partner had lost her appetite and therefore ruined our experience. We felt as though the hostess was more interested in talking to other tables and was not very hospitable towards us. We also weren't made to feel like valued customers ie when we paid she took payment and left with no real gratitude for our custom. I feel after so many great experiences this was a huge let down

Absolutely AMAZING service from the whole team. Thank you for making my dad’s birthday celebrations so perfect. Gary made it possible for us to arrive early and set up the table to surprise my dad and Caroline was the best server I’ve ever had she was so knowledgeable and keen to ensure we all had a great time. The food was yummy and the atmosphere was laid back and relaxed. They even brought out the cakes we supplied and sang happy birthday with us. I highly recommend this pub and all its amazing staff. 🤩🤩🤩

Came in for dinner with my parents recently. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a lovely man who showed us to our table, I heard someone call him Wayne. He was very chatty, asked us what we would like to drink, very quick service, came back and asked us about the food we would like, again very friendly man. Atmosphere was nice, food was great. The staff were accommodating and friendly. Wayne was great and he made our experience with this restaurant lovely as we had never been before. I recommend.

Read about their sumptuous Sunday Lunch so booked a table yesterday at the Oast and Squire at 4pm. On arrival we were informed that there were no Sunday Lunches left and that we had to be there by 2pm at the latest to get one. What sort of venue can’t produce a Sunday Lunch after 2pm? My local serves them until 5 and you can always guarantee that they are available. We looked at the menu and my wife selected the chicken schnitzel. We were told that they weren’t available either. Probably won’t be going back there again. The rest of the meals were fine

This was my first visit here, as I was on my way down to Fareham for a work conference. I went with two friends who know the area well, and we decided to have a meal. Service was excellent from Victoria and her colleagues, and our food was very tasty and beautifully presented. I was impressed by the size of the restaurant, how clean it was kept, and the welcoming atmosphere. The staff clearly enjoy their work, and it shows. I really value good interaction, and they didn’t disappoint. The team were attentive, courteous and helpful without being intrusive. Even though I live in West London, I’ll definitely be back. Congratulations to Victoria and all her colleagues, both front and back of house, for doing such a great job.

My experience with eating at Harvester has gone down over the years but they have obviously stepped up a notch or two. Great choices on the menu and well priced lunch specials which included a Bhaji Burger and Chips. I opted for this and from the first bite I knew I would be ordering this again, it was really good. Also the chips were "proper" ones not reconstituted potato. Service was also very friendly and the salad bar had some good items. Everything to like and we will be back.

Had a great visit to Harvester thanks to Michael! He was super friendly, easy to talk to, and made us feel really welcome. Service was spot on the whole time — he made sure we had everything we needed and was just genuinely nice to chat with. You can tell he really cares about his job and the customers. Big thanks to Michael for making our meal even better!

Service was quick and friendly (however slightly overbearing, our server continually spoke to us throughout the entire meal even when trying to eat). Was very disappointed when going to the salad bar as every single spoon moved released a large swarm of fruit flies, same when collecting bread rolls, they had tried to cover with cling film but they had managed to get underneath. I mentioned this to a member of the kitchen team who then covered the salad food but did not replace the food that was there, which given the fact that fruit flies aid in the spread of e.coli and salmonella was not great food hygene. Food did come out promptly, however the coleslaw was sad and had browned considerably. Thoughout the whole meal we were plauged by fruit flies and actually abandoned eating because between that and being smothered by the server it had become a little much. Was a shame as I love Harvester as a chain and am not usually disappointed. Will not be returning to this particular location.

It's lovely place with good location and lovely atmosphere. Dogs friendly. Good drinks. We ordered few dishes: Scallops (grilled) absolutely amazing, Mediterranean platter- just ok, Haddock - recommended but grilled Turbot we had not worthy a penny, not grilled at all, cold and served with cold vegetables. 4* for staff who sorted it out and offered another dish. We ordered two fillet steak burgers and hmmm described as "med rare only" so I belive not justly for us.

Service was good. Atmosphere was decent apart from the music being perhaps slightly too loud for a Sunday lunchtime. The staff were both friendly and attentive. Portions were a lot bigger than expected so don't order too much but the food was tasty and not to expensive. The pancetta pizza was lovely. The xl buffalo wings were good and the pigs in blankets were both plentiful and tasty enough. I can imagine it has nice views but the weather for us was terrible. For a bite to eat I could recommend it but if its ladies cocktails at lunch you're after, I would say this is defintiely the place..

Let me be real here. I didn’t enjoy the meal, wasn’t as tasty as I expected. But the lady that waited on our table was really friendly. I wish 0 starts was an option… I decided to go to Eden for my 21st birthday with my boyfriend. From the moment we walked in to the moment I had to ask my boyfriend if we could leave the service was awful. 1st. As we walked in we had the menus handed to us and the waitress (who I could only describe was dressed as a manager of some sort) just walked off… no “chose wherever you like to sit” and no “I’ll show you to your table” so we were left only to help ourselves to a table in a very awkward and uncomfortable way. 2nd. When we ordered our drink and food from the app (after them not having even half of their cocktails available) it took 20 minutes for two Pepsi Max to arrive. And a further 15 minutes for starters to arrive. 3rd. We asked two members of staff for a jug of water and no one the entire time we were there bought it over. 4th. After what seemed like years of us waiting for our main dishes to come it arrived and was a disappointment to say the least. And would you believe that we had to ask for cutlery, which took 5 minutes to come and by which time the food was lukewarm. 5th. I ordered fish and chips and could hardly eat any of it. The batter was drenched in oil and every time I cut into my fish cooking oil oozed out and was drowning the fish on my plate in it. 🤢 See pics below When my boyfriend asked what I’d rate out of 10 I said I’d never come back and asked if we could leave. Over priced, poor quality and awful service. Would NOT recommend. Not worth it. Not even for a nice Instagram picture. So disappointed I chose to go there for my 21st birthday.

Overall good food and service. Latte was frothy and creamy although only warm. I was OK with this as I'd let a hot coffee cool down before I drank it. I know my coffee would have been remade if I asked though. Sean , the new manager had a chat with us , which was good. We are a regular group who meet up in the Seagull.

Our Monday club group had a lovely fish and chips to die for today !!! The service was 1st class and the food was exceptional. The many times we have been to the Seagull we have never been disappointed. Booking was easy on line followed up by a visit to confirm details and timing. Staff very helpful.

Tuesday night quiz night is always good for a bit of fun. Food menu is your typical pub grub. We’ve eaten there a few times now and none of the meals have been bad so a safe bet if you’re after something quick and filling.

Good selection of drinks every thing you'd ever want in one place. Standard fare for the food. Not too busy large car park 🏞️. Would recommend this for a family meal and or a Wake ❣️. Different areas to eat in to avoid the crowd.

It's been a while since I have come back because of the issues the place had. But coming through the doors I was pleasantly surprised with the modern decor and professionalism of the staff. The food was brilliant and well worth the money. You get large portions and it is well cooked. Their attention to detail with the food and decor has given a really good experience and I will be visiting again. Thanks guys. :)

Since Jamie, Steve & Tracy have taken over this pub has gone from great to amazing! Absolutely loved our evening at The Lion, Fareham. A proper little gem of a boozer — the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the vibe was warm and relaxed. The live band was fantastic called No Weddings. Great pub to drop into if you’re after somewhere local, casual and full of character. Will definitely be back!

Went for a Sunday roast based on reviews and was one of the most superb I’ve had! I had no idea this was just down the road and am thrilled. Had the beef brisket that was moist and tender, lovely gravy, perfect parsnips and roast spuds. Also then steamed broccoli and creamed leeks. Wonderfully presented, and brought to table by the chef himself- he and all staff were lovely.

What an excellent evening. I heard on the grapevine that a new bike night was starting up so I popped along, with a few friends. We received an amazing welcome from the staff and the locals, and we ordered the Bike night special, Burger and Chips twice for £19.95. But what a burger, hand crafted and built to order, yup just tell em what you want on your burger and they will sort it 😉 Served with a generous portion of skins on chips, delicious 😋 And all those pretty bikes to look at. We will definitely pop in again before the end of season.

Nestled by the picturesque Fareham Creek, Castle in the Air is a charming pub that welcomes both humans and their furry companions with open arms. This traditional establishment not only serves up delicious pub fare and a rotating selection of real ales but also goes the extra mile for dogs, offering complimentary biscuits to keep them happy. The inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to unwind after a long walk along the England Coast path, especially after clocking in those 10,000 steps!
I regularly visit my local but I felt that I needed to leave this 5 🌟 review! From the moment we arrived, the new bar girl Chelsea was very welcoming! When the food came out...wow! Their smashed burgers are up there with the best! Again, Chelsea was very attentive asking if the food was nice and was very chatty with myself, my wife and my brother! Chelsea even said goodbye to us when she finished her shift! A lovely evening of drinks and food and Chelsea was the cherry on the cake! She is a huge asset to the 🏰

Great dog friendly pub serving good quality food for a reasonable price. They also have promotions like 2 mains for £14.99. They also have good deals/offers on alcohol with a nice selection of cocktails. The staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is good. The seating is reasonably comfortable. Highly recommended.

Really lovely staff. Quite a nice location next to the water. Customers all in really good spirits. Care taken over the decoration. Food was served quickly. Gammon and chips were good, but burger and egg a bit of a let down.

An excellent lunch menu for £8.49 or £8.99 with an alcoholic drink every day apart from Sunday from 12 to 5. Lots of history and a good atmosphere.

We had a nice meal here, dad had lasagna which he enjoyed very much, except the salad which he doesn't like much . I had chicken on flatbread which was covered in tangy sauce, didn't like the flatbread much and not enough chicken with more salad mixed in. Tasty but next time I'll be going for another choice. Chips were well cooked and tasty.Lovely location next to marina, free parking for customers. Friendly service not too much going on to judge the atmosphere.

Absolutely delicious!!! We tried the Sunday roasts (one turkey one sirloin beef) and they were both so so good. Meat was soft and tasty, as all the other ingredients. Quality was great for very reasonable prices, staff was lovely and we got our food so quickly. We also got garlic bread which was very good and fresh. I highly suggest the place, loved everything about it and definitely will go back!! Such nice atmosphere.

We were out on a walk. A short walk along the England Coast path and Castle in the Air was a good culminating activity 😅 (We did about 10,000 steps that day) Situated near the Fareham marina, Castle in the Air had a very homey feel and touch to the place. Not a lot of people when we visited but they got busy during that time too as it was the day after Christmas. We had a pint of guinnes each and just to help with my mood, i tried their salt beef and cheddar toastie. It was AMAZING! I had it with fries and it was perfectly seasoned with flaky sea salt. It was served with a side salad and its beautiful dressing. It was a sourdough toastie that gave a lovely crust and held its contents together -- not soggy at all. The cheddar was melting and thr richness was balanced with pickled red onions. Perfect pair for my guinnes I believe. Lovely staff, good portion sizes. I look forward to walkies. now I know castle in the air is my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. ❤️ Theres a loo They accept card and cash payments ☆Star rating☆ Price 5/5✨️ Food 5/5✨️ Ambiance 5/5✨️ Service 5/5✨️ Location 5/5✨️

This charming eatery not only serves up a fantastic all-you-can-eat option but also boasts an impressive selection of seafood dishes that are simply unparalleled. Diners rave about the freshness of their lobster, crab, and mussels, which are prepared with a light touch that enhances their natural flavors.
Always incredible food for a really good price! I really love this place, it is a blessing to have such high quality gluten free food close to home. The crispy shredded chicken and the sweet and sour chicken are so so good, and the service is exemplary!

LaOrient is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, John the host made us feel right at home. He’s incredibly friendly, attentive, and clearly loves making sure everyone has a great experience – the service is genuinely second to none. We had the Wesley set menu, which was fantastic value. It includes a choice of 5 starters and 3 mains from a great selection, plus a duck course served between courses – a really nice touch! Everything was delicious, but the standout for me was the salt & chilli chicken and chicken curry – packed with flavour and just the right amount of kick (be warned, it’s got a little heat!). We left full and happy, and John kindly offered us takeaway tubs for the bits we couldn’t quite manage. We’ll 100% be back again soon – and next time we’re bringing friends. Highly recommend if you’re in the Fareham area!

Best Chinese Restaurant we’ve ever been to. Easy way to decide if you want to go here: If you’re in the area: go here. If you’re not: there’s a carpark nearby so you don’t have an excuse! John runs an amazing front of house and every-time we’ve been as a group service has been super quick and friendly. Thank you John and the team x

I came here with my boyfriend for our anniversary dinner and we had a lovely evening in this local family-run restaurant. The food was beautifully presented and was served piping hot straight from the kitchen. We had a selection of dim sum and prawn toast for starters, which really hit the spot. The chilli beef was the highlight for us! One of the best things about supporting local businesses is the people; the owner John is super friendly and attentive all the way through our meal. The barman even treated us to some Japanese plum wine and we were able to select our own cups, which was a nice touch! I would highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again.

Cob & Pen is a delightful pub that offers an inviting atmosphere and a menu filled with home-cooked goodness. Diners can indulge in starters like whitebait and prawns, followed by hearty mains such as lasagne and hunter's chicken, all served in generous portions. Families will appreciate the kid-friendly options available, including highchairs and a well-curated children's menu that caters to older kids. While the staff are friendly, they may seem rushed during busy times, which can lead to slower service.
Beautiful pub! Lovely garden with children’s play area. Easy to get to off of the ferry, with lovely staff and atmosphere. Dog friendly, free parking, resident cats. Not to mention the amazing food. Exactly what we were looking for!

Nice pub. Friendly staff, who seemed rushed. Was busy when we visited and service was slow - didn't mind too much between courses for having a gap to order dessert, but plates weren't cleared. Food was tasty, but kitchen had run out of haddock, not that late in the evening and salmon was overcooked and a little dry. When it came to ordering desserts, they had run out of trifle. Would certainly visit again.

Cosy and welcoming pub. Plenty of seating inside and out. Food is always absolutely delicious. Staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent for any occasion. Sunday Roasts are a absolute must.

Amazing roast dinner. +Brilliantly cooked and every bit was full of flavour. +Generous portion of rich gravy. +Potatoes were soft and fluffy on inside with a nice crispness on the outside. +Beef was really good - not fatty +Turkey was very good - not dry. FYI this style carrot is meant to be served with skin on and tops & tails. One negative point - Children's play area needs some tlc. Bit of cleaning, put screws fully in, put the mats level and re-spread the wood chips (or whatever they are) around evenly. Will definitely visit again for another roast dinner.

Food was good & reasonably priced but the place was a bit on the quiet and gloomy side. Clean and tidy but dated decor. Staff are friendly & helpful. Beer choices were limited & bog standard. Green Thai curry was spicy & the chicken Cesar salad was lovely. There was plenty of tables to choose from on a Friday evening.

Where’s the six star button? Absolutely amazing. We popped in for a Sunday lunch and the food (roast dinner) was generous and incredibly tasty. The people behind the bar / serving the food were super friendly and accomodating. The dining room was quiet at 12.30pm which suited our group as we wanted to chat and not deal with any noise. All-in-all just a great place. Can’t wait for another opportunity to visit!

Just moved to the area so this is our new local. Lovely charming pub with a lake on its doorstep. Spent around £12 for two drinks (Guinness and a Single measure Gin with Lemonade). A proper pub, not a gastro pub, that also does really good, inexpensive food. Beers are a well kept London pride and a guest ale. Dog friendly in the bar and garden but not the carpeted lounge so specify dogs if you're booking. Very small car park with street parking nearby. We had steak and ale pie, liver and bacon, and scampi and chips. Generous portions and tasty. Various chocolate sponges and brownies, and a cheesecake were also excellent.

We have visited here several times now. We sit in the bar as we have a dog, so this area is dog friendly, we can't comment on the restaurant. The food is always hot, fresh, and plentiful. Nestled within the picturesque Wicor Marine Yacht Haven, The Salt Cafe is a delightful stop for those exploring the scenic coastal walk from Portchester Castle to Wicor. This charming waterside eatery has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike, often drawing people in without them even completing the walk. During one visit, I found myself pleasantly surprised while waiting for my dog at the vet nearby.
Thought we would go here for breakfast as they have started doing them on a Friday and Saturday morning 10-12 breakfast was so delicious. great value for money free refillable on tea, coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back next week.

Very nice pub. Beer reasonably price will definitely come back. Only negative was the gas pressure is wayy too high on the beer resulting in a 2.5cm head on each pint they poured as I watched. They topped it up no problem, but the barmaid didn't really understand how to fix. Wasn't fair on her really by the management.

Very lively establishment on a sunny Saturday afternoon, bouncy castle keeping the younger kids well happy, the volume of the high pitched screams is the give away! Plenty of seats in the sun trap of a garden, most with covering for the coming season. Well kept pint of London Pride was my choice this arvo. Welcoming and pleasent staff.

Only leaving 4 stars as there were things not available from the menu, chef was new but went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Great atmosphere. Good food. Will be back
Dien B — Google review
A complete surprise! Whilst waiting for our dog being discharged from the Vet, we enjoyed an excellent fish lunch for £10.50 including a pint of beer. The fish was very unusual, since it was cooked fresh, with a homemade beer batter. Unusually, the size of the portion was very large for a couple in their 70’s. So no supper needed. Again another pleasant surprise. The cask beer was very good! It was somewhat undeceivable quite which takes a point of atmosphere. But again unusual, the pub does not have a tv on every available wall space. Will return!

Really nice to find The Good Intent, now Trinity Tavern open and refurb has brought this pub a fresh new feel. The young barmaid was very welcoming and Harvey's Best bitter tried before purchase, something I always do, its a good test of a decent pub and a pint was bought. Parsons Collar is a charming, community-focused pub that embodies an unpretentious vibe, making it easy to overlook at first glance. Nestled in Covent Garden, this seafood haven boasts delightful culinary offerings within its inviting space adorned with fishmonger-style tiles. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, perfect for enjoying classic dishes alongside TV sports and quizzes.
A lovely little hidden gem in Whiteley. Great beer, lovely atmosphere and the beer garden is divine on a sunny day.

Decent pub, lager was cold, service was very good. The burger was really tasty, £2.25 to add bacon was not unreasonable but same amount for cheese is a bit steep as any burger should come with cheese automatically, in my opinion. That took the price up to £19.00 which is quite high. But like I say, it was good, and the fries were excellent. There’s a big pizza oven there but the spicy chicken pizza was a bit disappointing; the chicken was shredded rather than whole chunks. I couldn’t really taste it much, and the texture felt rather like eating canned tuna which was a bit offputting! The sweet peppers were not pre cooked but scattered on fresh, so quite watery. Overall not a brilliant pizza. The sweet potato fries were good but not as good as the regular.

This is a regular stop off when I cross the channel by ferry. It's a nice building with ample outside seating which is very popular in warmer weather. It's always busy so I book. The food is not high end, but good. Last time I had a chicken fillet burger which was dry, this time I had pulled pork chips with cheese and crispy beef. Good sized portions and tasty. I ordered at the table and service was efficient once the server found me. Drinks are expensive a 250ml glass of white wine was £10.50. The thing i love about this place is that it is very dog friendly and has a circular woodland walk just by the car park which is excellent for exercising dogs before going on a ferry. I always come here and will continue to do so.

Whilst the food is tasty, the size of the meal has gone down when the price hasn't! This was a "large" sharing nachos with spicy chicken costing £20. Previously this used to be a full bowl that was mounted high that would easily feed between four or six people for a light lunch, but unfortunately this fell short of expectation and value for money...

There is now a barrier across the car park entrance that opens automatically, then registrations have to be logged at either the hotel or the Parsons Collar. The two Blue Badge spaces to the left of the entrance are not specifically allocated so can be used for the bar or lodge guests. The pub is geared for sports with plenty of large screens. There is an outdoor rear garden area and ample indoor seating. The menu is varied and mostly routine pub grub. No clear character decoration so feels quite minimalistic and canteenish. Service was friendly and orders accurate for a party of 12.

Had fish and chips. The Fish batter had beer in it and was nice and light. Fish was nice and golden, but needed a tad seasoninh. Overall fine as a meal. The place is brighter than your usual pub given that the wood was painted white. Clientele was fine, mostly guests at the nearby hotel.

Great food at dinner and service was excellent but the cooked breakfast food was poor very under cooked eggs and coffee took 30 mins to arrive at table... lol it arrived after breakfast was finished 🤦 but would recommend for dinner just would go for a the cooked brekkie .

My Wife and I really wanted this to be great for food, we live in walking distance and regularly come for a couple of drinks over weekends. We thought we would try out the food on a Sunday. Very disappointing, both had roast beef- advertised on the menu as coming in a giant Yorkshire pudding, it didn’t. Veg was limited and seemingly pinged in a microwave, much the same as the rest of it. Staff were friendly but uninterested and just pointed to the table we reserved on entry, didn’t ask how the food was- presumably because they are used to the hard time they get for it. Parsons collar is now scrubbed off our potential candidates for food, which is such a shame as we are all for championing local establishments. Drinks give it a try, food don’t waste your time.

Pub
Ironmaster Fareham is a delightful pub that has quickly become a favorite for many visitors, including those who have returned multiple times since their first visit. The atmosphere is reminiscent of classic pubs from years gone by, offering a clean and comfortable environment where patrons can unwind. With impressively low prices for drinks—like a medium glass of wine and a pint of beer for just £5.90—it stands out compared to nearby establishments.
We visited from out of town and recived a walm welcome. Asked if I specific football game could be shown on Boxing day and the Landlord kindly obliged (even gave us a little friendly banter for loosing). Nice beers/ ciders on tap, really well priced we were suprised how reasonable they are.Very clean (inc. toilets) well most certainly visit again when where in town. Thanks all.

Having a lovely evening following a day looking at properties with family as relocating and allowed entry into the pub. Sat quietly enjoying a bottle of wine when an abrupt lady approached announcing dogs (a small well behaved Pomeranian who the person on entry said was cute) were not allowed after 6:30pm. We left our 1/2 bottle of wine and left on to the castle in the air who were very welcoming. Will not be returning to ironmaster if at all Fareham. Poor show very rude

My wife and myself popped in for a drink in August this year for the first time. We have been back five times since then. We are not young, and reminded us of what pubs were like in our younger years. We like it, we find it clean and comfortable with a good atmosphere. Toilets are clean as is the rest of the pub.the prices are amazing. A medium glass of wine and a pint of beer for £5.90 and that price is constant. There are two pubs nearby, where we have paid just under £12.00 and just over £10.00 for the same drinks. Can't comment on the food as we have not tried it. Highly recommended.
