Pretty nice. You can tell some thoughts and care have be put in the experience. It takes some courage to offer Mexican food in a city like Fontainebleau. Unfortunately the Al Pastor tacos were way too salty. The braised beef stands out a bit by a thin margin but could have used more fat and collagen. Artichoke tempura and mayonnaise was a mistake. True Mexican food requires contrast and balance in flavour and texture. This is sadly not it.

I’ve been dying to try this place because of the pics and reviews. The ceviche was good but a super small portion for the huge price of 18€. The guac was good but a tiny few spoonfuls for 12€. We all ordered the set menu and the salad of the day, except one person ordered a salad from the menu. The 4 salads of the day were honestly so terrible - way too much dressing and the apricots were so sour and awful they were unrecognizable. I couldn’t even eat the apricots, which I love. The zucchini was raw, which saddened us too. The tacos were good, but very small and so we ordered more. The server brought out 2 desserts after a long time, but she forgot our tacos. They brought 2 out of 3 tacos…she forgot the last taco. The food had already taken a long time so this was very frustrating. The sauces with the birria tacos had no flavor at all. The desert one of us ordered was simply whipped cream with a few chunks of pineapple. He was super disappointed. Also both servers bumped into my friend with plates every time they came downstairs. The 5 of us had a huge bill of 235€ and we could’ve still eaten more…overall, the tacos were good but the prices are all ridiculous for the tiny portions you get. I feel bad for dragging my friends here, only to have our food forgotten and to not even be full at the end.

The highlight, however, was the dessert. The family was enamored by the walnut and chocolate tart with vanilla ice cream. I loved my pain perdu with ice cream and caramel. There might have been a bit too much caramel, but otherwise, the bread itself was delicious and spiced with a good amount of cinnamon - just the way I like it. They have fantastic outdoor seating, and the fresh summer night air made it all the more worth it after a sweltering daytime heat. Bourron Marlotte is a peaceful little town, and we got to appreciate its quaint and countryside atmosphere.

We are from New Zealand, and we stopped in the village overnight, on our way to Italy. Our airbnb hostess kindly reserved a table for us. Just as well as the restaurant was busy. The service was very good, and the flavour of the food was great. We had a starter, main and a glass of the recommended food matched wine. Cost €105. The entrees were both good, in the vegetarian option they just left away the fish. The vegetarian main course was just vegetables (carrots, cauliflower), not arranged/prepared in a creative & appealing way - basically the meaty main course without the meat. In the other main course the meat was well cooked although we ordered medium rare. This is a real pity as we ordered the most expensive main course (33€) and you would think/hope they treat their ingredients with the utmost respect, especially if the meat is veal. The service was overall appropiate and attentive. The kitchen should just establish a standard and check what is going out to the customers as well as be more creative when it comes to request by the customer (e.g. vegetarian) which is not something special or extraordinary by now.

Our hotel restaurant was closed due to a group event . Therefore We ended up having diner in this very nicely decorated and Cozy restaurant. It was absolutely fabulous , and the food was excellent and the staff could not have been nicer. We had a great evening and can highly recommend this fantastic restaurant.

Definitely my favourite place to eat in Fontainebleau. Delicious fries with tasty sauces, burgers made with fresh, good quality ingredients (the Lillois is my favourite). On top of the great food, the owners are also lovely people. Highly recommend.
