The food was ok. My steak was meant to be "medium" but was rare maybe medium rare. The service was bordering on rude, forgotten items, mixing up our order and seemed to resent the service. It was also slow. The bar staff seemed to know about incorrect orders as when we returned to the bar they presented the correct order without prompting. There is lots of choice here and no need to put up with sub standard service and food.

Not recommended at all! I'm sick all day after the tarter which I ate there, also uncooked potatoes, the waiter was here because she has to be there, no smile, rush, not nice at all!

My husband and I arrived without feeling very hungry. We wanted to order only a pizza to share with a dessert later. The owner and the staff of the place told us we have to get at least get two pizzas to get sit. First time in my life to receive such service and we left feeling very disappointed. All in all, if you are not looking for big portions, probably you wouldn’t feel welcomed at this place.

We have been going to this restaurant the last 10 years and it was always the highlight of the week: Nice atmosphere, very profesional service, incredible food, … . Tonight we went again, and we were very highly disappointed: the fondue was probably the worst I tried (not up to standard ), the service had opportunities for improvement and the prices higher than ever . We learned tonight that there is a new management , the former owner sold it. I wish the best for the new management , but it is far from what Le Loup Blanc used to be. I wish the best for them, but for now , I will take a break from visiting it again in the near future .

The food is incredible! One of the best meals ever had in the mountains. Vegetarian and Vegan options available as well. A must visit when staying in SC.

Gets very busy. They do a good range of lunch options - quite pricey but everything is when you're half-way up a mountain. The soup was consistently good and wasn't _ridiculously_ expensive (€9 or so).

really cool bar to hang out in the middle of the ski resort. impossible to miss meeting place, ideal to organise a lunch with your friends, the terrace has a gorgeous view, and the gondola arrives just at the entrance. they happened to have a pretty good live performing dj during the time I've been there, kudos for the guy, he played perfect music for the moment!

A really nice place to stop for a coffee. The rider menu is good value as well

Overpriced Time Wasters. Appreciate this place is busy but we were asked to wait 50 minutes and then got told after that time that it would be another 20 thereby wasting a good portion of our day on the mountain. If they'd been honest with us at the outset we'd just have gone elsewhere. They were also rather rude upon telling us it would be another 20 minutes. Go to either the White House or Relais de Ratter....better service and more reasonable prices..

Received a warm and friendly welcome when we visited on our skiing holiday. Chose the Salmon main dish which had wonderful Asian spices. Delicious food and the Red Luberon wine was good. Thoroughly recommend the restaurant.

The Royal do there best to provide a pub type atmosphere in what is essentially an outdoor bar. In the summer this works great, in the winter not so. However Le Royal do a an amazing job to provide fast efficient service. From time to time expect live music, banging DJs and a party like atmosphere. They heat the outdoor space with those funky propane heaters. Just don't expect comfy sofas and roaring log fire. The location in the square at the foot of the Luc Alphand piste is superb.

Lovely atmosphere, great place to warm up to some drinks and food for your après ski session! Great staff as well, and friendly locals’ spot at the bottom of the slopes to enjoy.

We spent a week in Serre Chevalier in February 2025 and decided to visit La Grotte for some après-ski. The location is perfect, right at the foot of the mountain, making it a convenient spot to grab a beer after a long day on the slopes. However, while the convenience was great, the atmosphere left much to be desired. It lacked the lively and welcoming vibe you’d expect from a good après-ski spot. The place felt a bit dull, and the energy just wasn’t there. Overall, a decent place for a quick drink, but if you’re looking for a real après-ski experience, you might want to explore other options.

We arrived late to resort on Sat night and needed a bite to eat. Ordered 3 pizzas and it was some of the best we have had. The thin base was cooked just to the right crisp with the topping still moist and soft. The pizzas were a generous size and could be shared.

The pizzas are out of this world and for all of you English tourists looking for a good cup of tea they serve Damman Brothers Ceylon, which is about as good as tea bag tea gets. And everything is reasonably priced for a ski resort too.

Great location to finish up after a days skiing. If I was younger probably get 4-5 stars, read into that as much as you wish.

One of the worst places have ever been. Recommended only for beer not for food. We had to wait 1 hour to get 2 omlettes and 2 sandwiches with cold ham and cheese. And the place was half empty. Barkeepers were more numerous than guests! The place in generallooked also pretty dirty (we had to clean ourselves the table)

Kind staff and a wide variety of classic French dishes. All in all its an amazing place to go after you've had a long morning on the slopes. The only issue I have is that sometimes the portion sizes can be a bit big which leads to wasted food however its just a small thing that can be solved easily. Must visit this place if you come here!

First things first learn at least some English, you are working in a turist city. The second thing learn some manors. The staff doesn't speak English and they immediately become very rude because they don't understand you and I would say the woman with brown hair behind the bar is the worse. First up - they do not do sandwiches! This is proper sit down and enjoy food (I mention this as they have a sign on the door so presume they are sick of being asked this question). Visited for partners birthday (also known as Xmas day) and had a brilliant time. Lovely staff - put a giant sparkler in a mud cake with about 1 minute notice for his birthday. Food very good too - had pasta with morel mushrooms while partner had plat du jour. Highly recommend.

Good quality food and ski bar prices. I tried some kind of salty pancake it has the same price as a hamburger, but smaller and doesn't reduce my hunger. (I choosed it, because it was kitchen closing)

Shame for french gastronomy. We visited this place in group of 25 people. When we purchased drinks for everyone the waiter came to collect orders for foods. When I wanted to order 2 dishes for 3 persons (one dish was supposed to be shared by two not much hungry guests) the waiter became angry and impertinent. Simply told us that he wants 25 dishes and nothing less and that he canceled other reservations so we could came (some kind of emotional blackmail? But I doubt it was true). We felt offended and told him that we won't order anything if he is telling us what to do in restaurant where we are guests and should feel comfortable (just to be clear-the rest 22 guests wanted to take orders). Cute waiter gave us check (which was badly calculated-at least that we've sorted out in civilised manner, but still, the waiter couldn't calculate check properly) for drinks and told us that we must leave in 5 minutes. We've happily obliged. If you want to be treated as a tool to make money, not as guest this is place for you!

Disappointing Used to be one of my favourite restaurants. The food was ok but our reception of 12 people at 9pm was disgusting. We left at the really not late time for a holiday resort restaurant of 10.45pm paying 450€+ and felt that we were a real a pain in the @#$€ for the staff and management. So sorry for disturbing you. Perfect location to be seen ! Services could be better, but the place in front in front of the slopes is unique and useful when your kids are skiing just over there...
