We arrived into Ischia from Naples and where tired and hungry. Gino’s got us into holiday mode! With delicious food, lovely staff and very reasonable prices. And huge servings!!! Very fresh food. And was lovely to look at the beach. Highly recommend.

We had a great time at Gino’s, sitting right next to the sea during sunset. We enjoyed the best bruschetta we’ve ever eaten, Gino and the whole staff were genuinely friendly, the whole place felt so authentic. We would always come back!

We arrived with a family of 3, and asked if we could sit in a table of 4, which had 2 tables together. We were told no, that it is for bigger company. After us came a party of 3, and they were okay to sit to that table. We ordered 8 euros lasagnes and it came out from the microwave, so we really didn't feel to try any bruschetta or anything else after that. And won't be returning.

First time we came when the grill was off but we had the best bruschetta I’ve ever had. So it was so worth it, as well the the drinks are cheap and great. We was waiting very long. Doesn't pay attention, when we want to pay. Service didn't like, but the chef of the kitchen produces a delicious meal.

The place is in Maronti beach’s area even if a bit off the beaten track. We decided to come here because of the good reviews and were not disappointed at all. The food was delicious: we had parmigiana di melanzana as starter and pasta aglio olio e peperoncino and pasta with clams as first dishes and everything tasted great! On the top of that Vincenzo, the owner of the place, is a very special person. He came to speak with us few times and made us feel at home. The only regret that we had is that we couldn’t eat anymore! (You might want to book a table in advance because the place is often fully booked, especially during summer).

Try un attimo di vino for different experience - the head chef welcomes you into “his home” takes a fresh white fish that was caught at 7am and turns it into a 3 course meal - carpaccio/steam fish salad, a pasta and his take of fish and chips. His son came and played the piano for us and he was amazing. The chef came to introduce each course to us. Personally I think it is a bit pricey for what it is. It cost 100 euros for 2 people and you didn’t have a choice but to go with the fish of the day in 3 ways + bread with olive oil + 2 glasses of wine + bottle of water. But it is something a bit different if you like fresh fish and you want more of an experience.

Don't be scared away by the recent reviews about rips-offs. I just went today and the "coperto" (cover charge) was just 3 Euro/person (pretty standard). If you're at all worried, just go and ask before you sit down. The menu was not in english but there were two waiters that spoke english and they were very helpful getting us to find something great. The view is amazing. Go just for the view. Glad we arrived RIGHT at 12:30 when it opened for lunch as the parking lot is small and we were able to park, get seated, and place our order all before the place became filled with locals.

Had a small bite this afternoon with a half bottle of wine. The meal came with a number of little side bites that were unexpected and nice. The salad with chicken was served with gobs of mayonnaise. I scooped it off and just had olive oil and vinegar. Otherwise, a nice quick bite and nice atmosphere. They also serve many bakery treats if you have a sweet tooth.

The pizza was amazingly, soft and light. The potatoes were exceptionally puffy and airless, so delicious. The burger was outstanding as I am told, with lots of bacon.

Wonderful place to have an aperitif! Very old school but classy place with very friendly staff! With every drink they serve small Italian tapas like olives, nuts, croquettes, biscuits and chips (not French Fries). It’s a great place to sit and review the day!

It's just fine and dandy unless you are a tourist, then they will take advantage of you with their prices! I was having a lovely coffee and orange juice with once of their pastries until the bill arrived. For the pleasure of having a watered down, 100ml orange juice with ice, they wanted to charge us 5 euros, where in other equally good cafes you'd pay 2 euros and have a glass full of freshly squeezed pure orange juice. Don't go their if you are a foreigner, they WILL take advantage. There are plenty of smaller, nicer cafes around which are more traditional and less touristy to go to.

Really good food and drinks!! They offer plenty of snacks with the drinks. Plus the staff is amazing: I did not like the drink I got, but the waiter noticed and offered me another one, free of charge! Really recommend :)
