We sat in the covered alleyway just outside the restaurant, enjoying a delicious dinner accompanied by the warm breeze from the lake. The food was both flavourful and beautifully presented, and the service was attentive and genuinely pleasant. I had made the reservation the day before by visiting the restaurant in person and leaving an €80 cash deposit — a practice that seems fairly common in Varenna. For a restaurant of this quality, I wouldn’t hesitate to put cash down again.

This restaurant doesn’t accept reservations online or by phone. So upon arriving in the enchanting town of Varenna, I immediately left a €100 cash deposit in person to secure a dinner reservation for three nights later. When the evening finally arrived, we were completely blown away by the presentation and flavor of every dish. Service was friendly and attentive. The entire experience exceeded my already high expectations and was easily one of the finest Italian dining experiences I’ve ever had.

Had a great experience! Good food in an unbeatable atmosphere. I would improve the service though which was lacking for us. It was hard to get our server’s attention. The Ragu was good and so was the ravioli. The lamb chops were super tender and good. Ask of the good was great. You do pay extra for the view. They could get a perfect score with better service although it is still a great restaurant

Bar Il Molo is an absolute gem in Varenna! If you're planning to dine here, make sure to arrive early—the best seats fill up fast, and for good reason. The view overlooking Lake Como is truly breathtaking—one of the most scenic spots we've ever had a meal. We had two perfectly made cappuccinos, pancakes with fresh fruit, and scrambled eggs with bacon. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is hard to beat. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or just a coffee with a view, this place is a must-visit when in Varenna.

This place is right below our Airbnb. We’ve been here 3 days and have eaten here 3 times - twice for breakfast and once for dinner. Service has been great! Food has been better than expected. Get dessert at dinner and get a made fresh croissant for breakfast! Eggs, yogurt, and more available! Location is amazing!

A fantastic location with the terrace overlooking the lake. No reservations possible. We were told we would need to wait an hour but it was only about 10mins. We chose this place for the location and because it has vegan options on the menu. The menu is limited but we like that. You can view it on the website and there and at the restaurant it is in Italian and English. The pasta dishes and cheese platter were both high quality delicious as were the desserts. Service was a little slow and it is quite pricey but we think justified. This is for a slow quality meal with a great view, not a rushed one.

This was a wonderful surprise of a tiny restaurant, which I ate at every night for a week. I enjoyed the outdoors of the restaurant more than the indoors. You can make a reservation which guarantees you a table (indoor or outdoor). I enjoyed practicing my Italian with the staff, and they were kind in helping me! Some locals eat here and some tourists. Most people dined here multiple times, and to my knowledge, this is the only restaurant in Vezio. For a comparison, I ate in many restaurants in Varenna and other towns in the Lake Como area. Although the food portions were larger in Varenna and other towns, the service was much better here. I was never treated disrespectfully as a "tourist", which happened consistently in other areas. If you are a tourist, be aware this is a tourist area, so prices comparatively higher in the Lake Como area as a standard. People that walk up to Vezio also enjoy grabbing a snack, a fruit smoothie, or an adult beverage, as this is the first place they come to after climbing the steep 20 min. climb from Varenna. I'd like to thank the owners, who took time to talk to me, other couples, and families, showing kindness by asking about our days and being friendly. That's the true spirit of being Italian, and I thank you.

We stopped by just for a glass of wine and ended up having a truly memorable experience. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful – surrounded by bottles of wine and set beneath a rock wall, it feels both cozy and unique. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. To our surprise, they even treated us to a plate of local delicacies to enjoy with our wine. Such a lovely and generous gesture! Highly recommended if you’re in the area.

One of the nicest staff and service in Varenna , after having the racist experience with couple of their neighboring restaurants, we felt very welcoming in this cute little restaurant on the lake. The staff was very friendly and food was so delicious. Everything we ordered was fresh and served hot , tells their efficient service , considering their kitchen is little up on the hill . They also have very clean washroom. We enjoyed our dinner with peace , they didn’t rush us , we took our time . Highly recommend them ….

III Binario Bar at the Veranna train station is a small yet very nice cafe. The cafe, croissants, and pastries are displayed beautifully and taste delicious. The service was very friendly and welcoming. This a beautiful location to enjoy a cafe with a family member or friend while eating something to your liking. There are numerous items and souvenirs to purchase during your visit. It is a refreshing place with a warm and enjoyable atmosphere either before you make your walk down to the ferries on Lago di Como, are after your visit while you await your train. A highly recommended bar.

Dolce Vita is an absolute gem in Bellagio—one of those rare finds that feels both authentic and welcoming from the moment you step in. Tucked away in a picture-perfect alley, the setting is cozy, charming, and full of character. It doesn’t have that overly touristy vibe you often find in popular towns—it feels like a place locals love too. The service was exceptional. Kiara and Fabian were warm, friendly, and attentive, making us feel right at home. There was another gentleman helping as well—just as wonderful, though we didn’t catch his name. And the food? Truly unforgettable. We had one of the best buffalo mozzarella pizzas we’ve ever tasted—light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The pesto linguine was equally incredible—fresh, aromatic, and bursting with flavor. Every bite felt like a celebration of Italian cuisine. From start to finish, the experience felt personal and truly special. If you’re in Bellagio and want real Italian hospitality and food that makes you smile, Dolce Vita is a must-visit.

We’ve tried many restaurants around Lake Como, and I have to say—this one is among the best, if not the best. The atmosphere was incredible, with the restaurant located right in front of Lago di Como and nothing obstructing the view of the lake. The service was excellent; we didn’t wait more than 15 minutes for our food and drinks. We ordered four different Aperol Spritz to really experience the variety, and I can confidently say they don’t hold back on flavor—each one was truly great. We also had the Italian classic, Pizza Margherita with pesto, which came on a thin crust and featured two types of cheese. It was bursting with flavor and the tomatoes tasted incredibly fresh. The pasta was cooked to perfection with an elite level of taste—absolutely delicious. While the pasta portion was a bit small, the reasonable pricing of each dish made it well worth it. Lastly, the potatoes were perfectly crunchy and full of flavor and the tiramisu was delicious. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Como, and I would definitely go again. The prices aren’t too high, so your expectations might start off modest—but the flavor and service go far beyond. Well done!

Delicious ice cream! I had Dubai choc and pistachio and was such a reasonable price compared to London! 3.50 euros for 2 scoops. There is a bit of a queue and no seating but it's what you expect for Lake Como in the summer!

Had a tuna sandwich & cappuccino after spending a day wondering around Bellagio and Varenna. The staff lady was so attentive, friendly and welcoming. They also have a toilet that can be used for customers. Definitely will come back!

We stopped for a beer and pizza at an odd time of day. The kitchen still served us. The views from the terrace and balcony tables are some of the best in the world. There is a small 8 car parking lot behind and below the restaurant. Weekend evenings this place is loud with lots of drinkers and karaoke. The drive up from Varenna is very narrow with lots of hairpin turns. Be careful.

Myself and my boyfriend visited this place on a day trip to varenna. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable, we really enjoyed our long talk. Beautiful restaurant/bar, perfect location, amazingly friendly staff and the atmosphere is just perfect.

One of the best desserts i ever tried in my life. We had 2 capucchinos, one mocachino and a Ginseng coffe. It was all very good. Keep in mind the Ginseng (big size) coffe has the same size as the typicall espresso shot. Still it was worth it. Loved the taste. 👍🏻 I recommend the pistachio tart for the sweet toothed people 😁

Best place in Varenna to soak in all the charm of this lake town and Lake Como itself. You'll be able to see Bellagio from here and also take some stunning pictures of the village and the lake with great backdrops.

Good cappuccino and great croissants with lots of different fillings. Cream and chocolate, pistachio, cream, lemon cream... plus a refreshing one with cream and fruits.
