Swung by early evening without a reservation and the staff very kindly found a way to make us fit a bit later on even though reservations were full. They were even able to squeeze us in within the hour we were hoping for. When we arrived, they proactively provided a menu for dietary restrictions, noting they had seen it in my Resy profile. Might seem minor, but this level of hospitality/service is no small gesture to me. Restaurant had a lively, casual vibe during dinner. A DJ started playing a bit later on which was really fun. Great experience all around!!

Best meal we have enjoyed while on the island! Oysters Rockefeller, whole fluke were both perfection. My wife had vegan tacos and brussel sprouts which she enjoyed. They prepared a kids meal for our toddler which was a big hit. Cocktails were also done well Our server, Molly, was not only skilled in her craft, she was a pleasure with a pleasant attitude. Maggie (hope I got her name right) was also very welcoming and accommodating. Wish we went here on our first night in town! Final thought, dine here for an exceptional meal and treat all staff with the respect they deserve.

Had to eat here twice on our time on the island because we wanted our last dinner to be just as good as our first! 10/10 food. Everything we tried was incredible. Tried the two specials. Scallops and fluke as well as the corn side. Preparation was great, flavor wasn’t lacking. All dishes were 10/10. The second night my fluke specifically lacked as much sauce as I had the first but it was still very flavorful (posted both pictures and realized how much bigger the second fish was to the first night 😅) . The portions for the fluke are HUGE. You will not be disappointed eating here.

The service is stellar. The ambiance is upscale yet comfortable. The food is not quite as good. We ordered raw oysters 4/5, fried calamari with banana peppers 3/5 (more calamari less banana peppers, even though the peppers was the tastiest part), chicken sandwich 5/5, and catch of the day scallops with risotto 4/5, and Dubai cheese cake 3/5. Good cocktail, beer, and wine choices.

I never write reviews, but I have truly never met a ruder staff that dislikes their jobs or their guests more. It’s a horrible reflection of Martha’s Vineyard hospitality and if I were the owner or manager I’d be taking a serious look at who was representing my establishment. Out of all the places you could go on the island, this would definitely not be a place I or any friends of mine would recommend. And we will absolutely be telling this to others. I highly recommend you take a good look at your staff and reevaluate.

Great experience. I’m vegan and they provided me with many options (which aren’t all listed on the menu - so feel free to ask). They ran out of high chairs, and made the effort to go across the street to their sister restaurant to get one for our daughter. Service was excellent and food was delicious. 10/10

This place is clearly very popular because there was a queue outside the restaurant before it opened for 5:30 p.m. dinner service on a very rainy Saturday night. Once open, the restaurant quickly filled up with diners. Tables tend to be closer together because of how busy it gets, and there are a lot of hard surfaces, meaning things can get a little loud. Service was the right level of attentive: staff were very friendly and they were good about clearing plates and utensils when it’s clear diners are done eating. The daily fish specials are posted on a chalkboard inside. Overall, the food was very good. The buffalo brussel sprouts with whipped blue cheese were very good but for $18? Feels steep. My husband enjoyed his tuna, which was served like an elevated poke bowl and had Asian influences. I got the seared cut cod special, and enjoyed the sweet corn and mushroom risotto that came on the side: it was appropriately warm and cozy feeling for the rainy day, and brightened by the bursts of sweet freshness from the corn.

Arrived at 6:00 pm on a cloudy Wednesday evening and were seated upstairs in the open air seating. Wonderful views over the harbor and you can watch the Chappy ferry on its constant back and forth journey. Service was good. The lobster roll was served with fries and had lots of chunk lobster – seemed to be a good value. The Clam Chowder had a good flavor and was very creamy. The fried shrimp platter was okay, but seemed a bit overpriced for the amount of shrimp. The winner was the lobster dip appetizer, served with lots of crispy pita bread. We also loved the Ocean Berry Booze cocktail. Would go back for the dip, cocktail and the great views. Outside seating was very full when we left around 7:30 pm.

I’m not sure why the reviews are poor. The service is good. The large deck offers nice views. The food is pretty solid for a place that it doesn’t have to be. We ordered raw oysters 3.5/5 (small), shrimp cocktail 4/5, Caesar salad 4/5, warm buttered lobster roll 4/5, PAN ROASTED MISO SALMON 5/5, and Boston cream pie 3/5 (dry). Good beer, wine, and cocktail options.

A perfect experience. I couldn't ask for anything to be better. Our server, Elizabeth, was excellent and gave us great recommendations for food on the menu and places on the island! She was also amazing about my food restrictions. The drinks were delicious, the views are beautiful, the music was great, the food was amazing and came out so quickly. I honestly have waited longer for Taco Bell then we waited for our food. I was shocked when it came out and was worried maybe it wouldn't be good but I was so wrong. This may be one of the best places I've been.

Very nice place, if you catch a good weather and get a seat outside, the view is incredible. The food was good, not amazing. A little bit over priced but still worth the experience.

Had a good lunch at this place. We enjoyed the stuffed quahog, lobster and shrimp tacos, the food was tasty. Service was also very friendly. Lovely place to sit overlooking the water. Lobster well priced.

The location especially outdoors on the top level is great. Staff is friendly and attentive. Had the fish and chips. Only came with one fish which is not a lot for the price. The fries were seasoned well and cripsy; very good. Sadly the fish was subpar. The meat was good but the batter was soggy and chewy. Couldn't get a clean cut and basically just ate the meat inside. All that was left was the rubbery batter that stayed together like a skin. Would prefer it to be more crunchy.

Highly trained and attentive service staff. The cocktails were definitely a highlight with subtle flavors and presentation. We ordered the shrimp cocktail and watermelon and feta salad as starters. The shrimp were healthy and flavorful and the feta salad had a generous portion of cheese which paired well with the balsamic glaze. Our courses came out of the kitchen very quickly! For our main course, I got the ossobuco. The flavor was very strong and savory, like a winter beef stew. The cavatelli was lightly baked which gave it a nice crunch. My wife ordered the veal Parmesan and it was cooked to perfection. The plate it was served on was the size of a pizza lol. The portion was so massive that we ended up finishing it for lunch and breakfast the next day! Our waiter Luke was so attentive and even treated us to shots of limoncello (as it is our honeymoon!) Overall, I would say the food and service lives up to the reputation and id recommend Atlantic the next time you have something to celebrate.

Had such a fantastic time here. Our server, Luke, was so friendly and helpful with menu recommendations. We sat outside at a table with a fire pit of sorts and it was perfect. We all shared the French fries and I also had a crab cake. Both were fantastic. The drinks that everyone had were good too. I got the Mint Condition and it was one of the best alcoholic drinks I've ever had.

Absolutely Fabulous Culinary Experience! All our food was beautifully presented, fresh, tasty, and delicious. Our server was friendly, exceptionally helpful and attentive. All the seafood we ordered was heavenly. Drinks were made to perfection. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet casual over looking the water. We loved it!

I decided to have a 4th of July dinner out with mom at one of our favorite fancy spots, The Atlantic Fish & Chop House in Edgartown. They had a lamb dish 2 seasons ago that I still dream about. We had some charbroiled oysters, a lobsters arugula salad, and some osso bucco. Everything was delicious 😋 except the pasta was a bit overdone (it was crunchy). I had a perfectly made Hugo Spritz to wash it down.

Let me start with the positive, Vanya the hostess is amazing😍, she went above and beyond for us and we really appreciate that. We really wanted to check out the Atlantic because we heard Michelle Obama was there and that they had the best food for special occasions. My meal was absolutely delicious, I really enjoyed the seasonings and found the meal unique and appetizing! We went for my bday and my girlfriend was treating me. She doesn't eat meat or cheese and asked for salmon, the waitress recommended the salad and to then add the salmon, my girlfriend asked what the additional cost will be and was told "not much higher than the original meal which was $42" when the bill came the cost of the salmon alone was $40 in addition to cost of salad which was $24 so my girlfriend had to pay $64 for a salad due to miscommunication. I think it's extremely important to communicate so people have options . I know its an upscale restaurant but a lot of working class people may want to come and just celebrate special occasions and little things like this make a difference. This why I am giving 4 out of 5 stars.

Food was amazing and so was the service. Quick and attentive. Really enjoyed the crab cake, lobster salad, lobster ravioli, and lobster macaroni and cheese. Atmosphere was superb.

We stopped in after a bike ride into town and ended up staying longer than planned. Worth it. Got the crab cake, truffle fries, yellowtail, and Caesar salad. Everything was solid across the board. Crab cake was packed with meat, truffle fries hit the spot, and the yellowtail was fresh and well-prepared. Caesar was legit too.

Perfect Kickoff to Our Martha’s Vineyard Stay Lookout Tavern was the very first restaurant we visited when we arrived on the island, and it set the tone for a fantastic trip. Our party of six enjoyed a total of four (maybe five!) warm lobster rolls, one shrimp platter, four rum punches, and one or two lemonades—and everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The lobster rolls were especially memorable—tender lobster meat, perfectly seasoned, and served warm. Before our meals arrived, we shared calamari and fried oysters as appetizers, and both were absolutely delicious—crispy, well-seasoned, and the perfect way to start the meal. When we arrived, we were told the wait might be around 30 minutes, but in reality, it was only about 10. That gave us just enough time to take a quick walk across the pier and enjoy the view before being seated. We were placed at a comfortable picnic table with a great view of the lively scene around us—people enjoying good food, great weather, and relaxed island vibes. The service was friendly, the food came out quickly, and the overall atmosphere made for the perfect kickoff to our stay on the Vineyard. We will absolutely be back on our next visit—especially for those lobster rolls!

This place was absolutely worth the wait! It was packed when we arrived, so be ready to wait a bit, but trust me, it’s worth it. The Reuben was one of the best we’ve ever had, and the homemade chips were perfectly crisp and delicious. The California roll was fresh and tasty, and the spider roll was good too. The shrimp dumplings weren’t our favorite and tasted a bit frozen, but everything else more than made up for it. The Cobb salad was a great portion and very flavorful, and the red ale was cold, refreshing, and paired perfectly with the meal. Overall, amazing food and great service,definitely recommend!

Jumbo Tavern Lobster roll and Texas Burger. This was my first ever lobster roll and I loved it. It was such a large portion I thought I would never finish it, I was wrong, I ate ever last bite and the fries along with it! The hubby enjoyed his burger and fries also. We sat at the bar with a view of the water. Service was excellent. The bartender recommended which lobster roll to get and I am so happy with the choice. Drinks: Tito’s & lemonade and the hubby got a local IPA.🍺 Clean bathrooms.

This lunch spot was fantastic! We were looking for a place to eat that was pet-friendly, and this restaurant exceeded our expectations. As soon as we sat down, they brought out water for us and our two dogs, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was just as great as the service. I had the lobster roll, which was absolutely delicious. My partner loved the fish tacos, and my youngest had the creamy, rich lobster mac and cheese. My oldest and our pups both had burgers and were happy campers. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. It’s hard to find a spot that caters to the whole family—including the furry members—so this place is a real gem. We'll definitely be back!

Fabulous sports bar with a lively atmosphere, great drinks, tasty food, and wonderful staff. The clam chowder soup was hot and terrific, fried clams and French fries was a hit. Sushi was amazing, so fresh, tasty, and delicious. Service was excellent and fast despite how busy it was. It was worth the wait!

Servers were awesome, held it down on an extremely busy day. Food was okay, got lobster roll and fried big clams, lobster quality was variable but not bad. Clams were decent. It’s very busy at high season, packed and loud. Drinks were excellent. Painkiller’s were phenomenal. If you want a rowdy bar with bomb drinks and okay food, should consider.

A fun place full of people. The food is average but good. Fish and chips were solid, lobster roll a thumbs up with homemade potato chips! Drinks were good. It was hot and crowded so get some fresh air and sit near or on the deck. Make reservations. A tourist trap for sure but good. It's worth eating there. Tell em Barsnobs sent ya.

We came here on a late Friday afternoon to dance, have some food & drinks, and listen to the DJ. Nomads now charges a $10 entry fee ($12 if you use a credit card), as of the 2025 season. Seating was limited so we had to stand for a bit before we were able to find a place to sit. There were reserved sections on the patio and out on the lawn. We eventually found seats with a table and ordered appetizers and drinks. There was a couple of corn hole games outside which kept some of the children that were present, occupied. The DJ played a variety of music that kept everyone on the dance floor. A good time was had.

Amazing Oysters & Laid-Back Island Vibes Our first attempt to visit Nomans was on a Friday night—unknowingly right when it seemed like everyone on the island had the same idea! We decided to try again on Saturday afternoon, and I’m so glad we did. The vibes were still popping, but without the long wait. Molly, the bartender, was fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and pouring some truly delicious drinks. We enjoyed a couple of Mai Tais and a strong Old Fashioned before diving into the main event: the oysters. And let me tell you… these were AH-mazing—so fresh, so tasty, just downright guuud! We started with a half dozen, but they were so good we had to order another half dozen. I can honestly say these are probably the best oysters I’ve had to date. Our kids enjoyed playing a few games while we relaxed, and we also tried the cod sandwich—perfectly cooked, with a flavorful aioli that really stood out. The fries were fresh, hot, and tasty. The music (not live) added to the already chill, island vibe, making it even easier to kick back and enjoy the afternoon. I’m so glad our plans shifted to Saturday instead of Friday—it made for the perfect, laid-back island experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Such a cute spot between Edgartown and Oak Bluffs. Awesome to-go options for the beach are eating on site. There are yard games like connect four and cornhole, and an outdoor TV where we watched an NFL game. A really great value for the food we had also: hotdog and chicken sando were delish and the fries were piping hot.

Noman’s has become an annual outing during our vacation. It streamlines food and drink orders by offering counter service. This allows them to service many customers in a short period of time. It’s amazing to see retirees enjoying a meal together while kids run circles around the tables. The atmosphere is laid back, which makes it suitable and welcoming to all. They have great music, tasty food, a raw bar, and a wide selection of drinks. Seating is first-come, first-served, so you may need to stake out your location. Parking can also be difficult, and they offer an off-site shuttle service. Food in the photo includes short rib tacos (left), kale salad (right), and potato salad (back).

Nomans is such a fun spot with great food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere. It’s perfect for hanging out with friends or family, and the vibe feels very “island casual.” Everything we had was excellent, and the staff kept things moving even when it was busy. The only downsides are that parking can be a real challenge and, during peak times, it’s sometimes tough to find a table for your whole group. Still, once you’re settled, it’s always a great experience.

I had an amazing experience at The Barn in Martha’s Vineyard! The food and drinks were absolutely spectacular, and the customer service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made the whole visit feel special. Even their merchandise is great quality. I will definitely go back to The Barn the next time I’m in Martha’s Vineyard—highly recommend! Was fun text messaging with them the passion fruit drink was amazing. You won’t be disappointed 🥰

Really cool restaurant bar with huge outdoor area much of it covered. Games to play while you listen to live bands. Probably one of our favorite places in our one week trip to the island.

I got the Portuguese Seafood Stew and was so impressed with the broth flavor and the amount of seafood in it! I normally don’t love muscles and there was none of the dark gamey flavor I usually dislike. The beer and cocktail selection was pretty good as well and the old copper beer tanks inside gave the place a historic feel. I would not recommend the red ale, it was a bit thematic with the red food coloring but everything else was great 😂

We enjoyed our meal at Offshore Ale Co so much we came back for a second visit during our time in Martha’s Vineyard! Jovana was outstanding and made great drink recommendations and provided excellent service. The atmosphere was inviting and felt like visiting a local spot.

We needed to kill 4 hours before our ferry. It was rainy and gloomy. And somehow we had the best moments of our trip hunkered down at Offshore Ale House enjoying the best bowl of chili we’d ever had, some great beers, delicious ribs and a salad. Great staff, great pub atmosphere, and surprisingly good food.

We stopped by on our walk around Oak Bluffs. We ate outside on the patio. The fish and chips with Cole slaw and fries were delicious. We.also had some delicious oysters 5 stars.

Really good food, and drinks. My daughter and I had a regular cheese pie, and my wife had the chicken sandwich with bbq sauce, cheese, cole slaw and pickles. Topped off white wine and a drunken pumpkin ale, which consists of pumpkin ale with a shot of creamy vodka with a cinnamon sugar rim. If you're visiting or a local, it's worth a visit.

Great Food, Poor Service The food at Alchemy was absolutely delicious, but the service was disappointing especially given the price point. We waited about 45 minutes for our entrees with no updates from our server, who showed little interest in our table throughout the night. When my father-in-law asked about our meals, the response was dismissive, and he eventually had to speak with the manager himself. The server didn’t check in until we were already halfway through eating. A smile, a simple update, or even basic attentiveness would’ve gone a long way. For a restaurant with such great food and ambiance, the lack of hospitality really took away from what should have been a memorable dining experience.

After all the hype about this place from guide books and travel magazines, I can’t believe how bad it was. There was nothing interesting or original in the menu and when I finally chose something the resulting dish was not only underwhelming but just plain blah. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

We had the most amazing dining experience at Alchemy in Martha’s Vineyard (Edgartown) — and it was all thanks to Aileen, our incredible server. Her warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made our visit unforgettable. The food was absolutely divine. I had the steak — perfectly cooked and full of flavor — and my husband ordered the salmon, which was just as impressive. Every bite felt like a celebration. Aileen truly elevated the entire evening. We’ll definitely be coming back to Alchemy — and asking for her again. Thank you for making our night so special! ✨

Excellent service. The menu was short, though everything on it seemed well-designed. Unfortunately, everything was way too salty to enjoy properly. The fried oysters were nothing special -- fried for too long and then covered in too much barbecue sauce. The quality of the fish and lobster was excellent, but again bathed in too much salty sauce.

Family dinner to end our trip was well spent here - a post dinner walk was also a great after dinner treat. Our servers were attentive and the food was great.

My daughters and I were seated upstairs in the back room next to the fireplace. It was a fun spot to sit; we could look out across the rooms and watch the hustle and bustle of this lively restaurant. Our server Michael made our dining experience absolutely delightful. By far the best server we had during our stay on Martha’s Vineyard. We shared everything we ordered and were not disappointed with our choices. The Jonas crab and asparagus salad was very fresh, not overdressed and gracious plenty to share. The fresh oysters were also a hit. I split the 2lb. lobster with spätzle and fresh veggies with one of my daughters, it was over the top delicious! My other daughter had the scallops and also found them to be delicious. The girls split the flourless chocolate dessert and enjoyed every last bite!! The cocktails were really good, the wine list so-so but everything else was fantastic. We loved this spot for the fun atmosphere and delicious foods. I highly recommend going. And ask for Michael!

Do not go here!! The service was not great and our server was acting luke we were and inconvenience to her before we had even given our drink orders. The only thing good here was the potato skin appetizer and the fries which came with the pulled pork. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which came out watery and the bread was mushy. The sandwich just didn’t taste right. Another member of my party ordered a burger well done and it still had some pink in it. Finally, the house salad that came with the burger was inedible due to the balsamic dressing that was served, that was like sludge. Not a great spot especially for the price!!

Great place to pull up to the bar, have cocktails, order some food, and just hang out for a while. Our bartender was just fantastic! The food REALLY GOOD! Especially the short rib ravioli!!! WOW!!! We went back for the game the next night and boy was that fun!!! Lots of locals cheering on the Boston Celtics! So much fun!!!

Delicious food and an awesome atmosphere. Definitely recommend the chowder fries or a lobster roll when you go! They used to have a salad with goat cheese and steak on the menu that was awesome if I recall correctly, but didn't see it the last time we went. Definitely a staple while you're on the island.

Very good food. Good portion sizes. Exactly what you want for a nice dinner. Our waitress was so friendly. We had spent the day biking so this really hit the spot. We got the lobster roll, turkey blt, and penne with chicken. Ate everything

A nice local tavern. Service was good. She brought out the wrong drink but fixed it when asked. Food was fine. The pasta dish was supposed to be in a white wine sauce, but came out in red tomato-based sauce. We didn’t opt to try to address the issue since we were on a timeline. The fish and chips was ok- two smaller pieces of fish, and not as buttery or flaky as I would normally expect. But not bad. The burger patty was on the thinner side and had a pool of grease sitting in the middle, but my 5 year old gobbled it up. Atmosphere was quiet and clean.

This restaurant is another feather in the cap of Martha's Vineyard. Great service, great atmosphere, and best of all, GREAT FOOD!❤️❤️

Had an incredible dinner with a party of eight at The Wharf Pub in Oak Bluffs. The food was excellent — I tried the Crack Burger, cheesesteak, calamari, truffle fries, cod with mussels and sausage, and a perfectly cooked steak. Every dish was hot, flavorful, and generously portioned. The service was just as impressive. Diane and Matt, the managers, were absolutely amazing — warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. They made us feel truly welcome and ensured everything ran smoothly. The Wharf strikes a perfect balance between laid-back island vibes and quality dining. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re on the Vineyard!

The restaurant just isn’t good. Don’t let the interesting and large menu fool you like it did us. Go bowl, go drink and watch games but the suck service coupled with bowling alley food is not a good combo.

Interesting place. A full sized bowling alley (6ish lanes) and a nice little restaurant. We sat at the bartop for our steak & eggs brunch. The bartender was friendly not but overly engaging. Watching her and the other waitstaff their teamwork made for efficient service. When we were brought our meal and I set my eyes on the steak, I was a little concerned about the quality. It looked like something that would be served from one of the American chain restaurants (Chili's, Applebees, etc.). I was

Absolutely amazing food! We came back twice … ceviche unbelievable taste and value, fig and prosciutto pizza, apple crisp - super yummy. Brown sugar steak tips and braised lamb shank the next time - so wonderful we couldn’t order a pizza to take home as planned. Great place with lots of locals and bartenders that can make drinks not on the menu!

our server Kristina was great. she was very helpful with suggesting entrées and appetizers and made sure that we knew we were getting a bang for our buck. The portions were large and we were able to share everything between the four of us. We even had to take some food home. great atmosphere, and is very family friendly. the bowling alley is right next to the restaurant/bar so if you bring your kids, it’s a great place for them to go play or to bowl with friends.

Fun spot for bowling in Martha’s Vineyard. Our waitress was great and made sure that we were never waiting for our drinks. We didn’t have any food so I can’t speak to that but we had a great time bowling and the space is clean and nice.

Came in on a rainy night needing some good food that wasn’t outrageously priced and was super satisfied. The pizza was awesome (we got a pepperoni well done) and the service was polite and speedy. There’s virtually no places in MV with great reviews for pizza so definitely will be coming back with more friends the next time we visit.

We spent an afternoon here on our vacation our to Martha’s Vineyard. The staff are very friendly and gave great recommendations! Special shoutout to Maddy and Matthew! The venue was beautiful and the food was excellent! We loved the cauliflower crust on the bacon pizza. Please get a sour beer on tap!

Bad Martha, was bad. The bacon pizza was nasty and the wings were even worse. The beer was ok. The only good thing about this place is their merch and outdoor dining. I hate leaving a place feeling like I was ripped off and that’s exactly how our group all felt at the end of our visit. Sadly, this was one big disappointment. What we spent here would have been a very nice meal out somewhere else. Truly a waste of time and money ubering all the way over here from the vineyard haven ferry.

We had a spectacular night at Bad Martha's for a special occasion!! We got a beautiful spot surrounded by all sorts of fresh smells of flowers!! Pizza and wings were perfect,quick and delicious!! The manager Mia was a super host making it super inviting. And also our amazing waitress Monica !! Could not be any better!! And thanks to the rest of the crew for a great night!! Thanks again!! We visited with our friends on a bike ride that raved about this place. Unfortunately, it was closed, but I left my wallet with a substantial about of cash with several credit cards on the bike rack. We left and Matt came out and found my wallet and tried to flag us down with no success. He googled me and called me and brought the wallet to our hotel. There are still honest good people out there and can't wait to visit when they are open. Thank you matt!!!!!!!!

This bar is an icon in Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vinyard. We went for a glass of wine and to just hang out. I loved the vibe and the staff. The bar tender/ manager is just a very nice woman who never stops smiling and does a great job managing the bar and surrounding tables. We had already had dinner so just the wine on this night but it is place I’d want to keep going back to for sure.

The new food offerings at the Ritz in OB by Chef Canieka at the Loud Kitchen Experience are truly SO DELICIOUS! Everything was flavorful, on point, and executed great! We ordered the beef sliders with slaw, the mooniest fries, the cajun corn, the sweet fritters, and the Mac and cheese! Prices were reasonable and flavor was out of this world! A must try in OB!

While visiting Martha's Vineyard and strolling through town.....I heard some good music coming from this cafe and found myself making new friends once again. Hunty the raspberry margarita was IT. Food was aight. Can't complain too much for a late night spot. The music was good and had a decent beer selection. Gets pretty crowded but no complaints about the service either.

The Ritz’s bartending team was exemplary: warm, quick-witted, and unfailingly attentive. They greeted each patron with warmth and quick wit, treating everyone as a guest rather than a transaction—precisely the kind of attentive service that hospitality research identifies as pivotal to a memorable evening. They treated patrons as guests, not transactions, and somehow kept a lively crowd even when no one was ordering. They checked in on me (I was alone) and even introduced me to a friend—textbook hospitality. At the door, a different story. An older gentleman, a bouncer, fed up with counterfeit IDs, vented at three PYTs who looked about nineteen. Two IDs cleared; the third produced only a photo. Her friends suggested a passport; she balked and they left. The bouncer’s irritation then spread to patrons of all ages, souring the entry before anyone reached the bar. The real disappointment was the karaoke. This is one of the island’s few weekday options—prime chance to create small-town magic for locals, seasonal workers, and lookie-loos. Hosting karaoke well requires authentic enthusiasm and respectful engagement—encouraging singers of varying levels while keeping the room alive and happy, even when singing a thoroughly depressing love song. Some will go a step further and even harmonise with you while you sing (shoutout to a few select places in Brooklyn, Boston, Cali and Florida!) to ensure you sound good instead of sounding akin to a yowling feline. If you are incapable musically of such feats, one would assume that basic decency and courtesy and respect would be present. At the Ritz, far from it. Johnny and friend offered instead a rotation of apathy and forced exuberance. The only time they seemed genuine is when they were talking down to individuals, and saints help the odd patron who dared ask when their song was up - Johnny rudely asked a young man why it mattered (intrusive much) and they were deliberately skipped. The older gentleman had an uncalled for attitude peppered with condescension that diminished rather than uplifted. Maybe standards are allowed to be kept low since the crowd has no taste - which brings us to the next contextual factor; the clientele. The clientele skewed young and insular. Conversation among under-20s flowed mainly when motives weren’t musical; the prevailing courtship move was to sit too close and stare as if you were a television running music videos about the problems of the powerful. For a culture that valorizes non-familial, non-communal ties, the deficit in basic EQ was… instructive.

Very important to know that Dilly's is located inside the Ritz!! It's a dark bar but honestly I loved the atmosphere! Sophia was a great bartender; casual, friendly, helpful. The rice bowls were AMAZING. Next time we're in MV we'll have to go at night to experience the "night life", but it was a great quick lunch before our ferry! @amp_eats (instagram)

We were relieved to find this place open as most of the restaurants in Oak Bluffs of Martha's Vineyard were closed during the winters. We were really hungry and thus ordered Shrimp Quesadillas, Buffalo Chicken Wings and 5$ burgers. Shrimp Quesadillas were really great and exactly what we needed to have at that moment. The hospitality was nice and the place had some cool music running too.

Nancy’s is a comfortable place, the staff is very humble and the situation is scenic. The food was good, but expensive. We had hummus and pita n fried calamari as starters. In the main course the lobster roll wasn’t very good, just loaded with too much butter. The baked Cod with the veggies was excellent

Mixed results here - the butter based lobster roll was a bit unfortunate. It was missing a good amount of butter. The mayo version tasted better. The onion rings are thin but good. Don't get quahog - it's all bread stuffing.

We got the fisherman’s platter to share. Fries were great. Seafood was good except the whole belly clams. It could have been our first time eating them and not knowing what to expect but they were gross. Kids got cheeseburgers and they were affordable and tasted fine. Location is great, right on the harbor. If you are lucky enough to get a shaded bench, you could sit for hours and people watch. Bar onsite and makes dirty bananas that seemed to be very popular.

This is a good stop for lunch at Oak Bluffs. We ordered online and when we picked it up they forgot our waters, didn’t ask if we wanted ketchup or tartar sauce. Overall the food and atmosphere was good but I will try a different place next time

First time here and atmosphere was very nice. It's right by the beach and went there during sunset time so the sun rays were beaming through the windows. Our server did share with us things that were their too sellers but since it was my first time at Marth's Vineyard, I wanted to try the lobster rolls. It was ok. I've tried better lobster rolls in the south. Their alcoholic drinks were a bust. They were $15 for a regular sized plastic cup. It wasn't mixed well and it was super bitter. My lobster roll was overpriced, I believe it was almost $30 for mediocre lobster roll. My bf got a cheeseburger and said it was nothing to jump up and down for. View was nice though.

Had high hopes for Nancy's after reading blogs and reviews. My lobster which was pink inside, potatoes, and corn were not up to par despite the pictures, along with the fried belly clams. The Clam chowder however was tasty.

This was my first time visiting Martha’s Vineyard, and I was really looking forward to a nice meal with friends at Nancy’s Oak Bluffs. Unfortunately, the experience left a terrible impression. After a delayed flight, I arrived hungry to meet my friends who were already seated and eating. As soon as I sat down and tried to order a salad, the waitress told me I couldn’t order any more food. My friend also tried to order a drink and was denied. When we asked why, she said her manager told her to stop serving our table. We asked to speak to the manager, and he came over with a rude and dismissive attitude. He said there were people waiting and that our table had been there long enough, as if that justified refusing us service. Then, while people were still actively eating their meals, the waitress came back and said, “We gotta get this rolling I’m bringing you boxes. We gotta go, people are waiting for tables.” No exaggeration, we were still eating and being rushed out mid-meal. I’m posting the picture so you can see actual food on everyone’s plate. There was no posted time limit, no heads-up, and no regard for basic customer service. Denying hungry customers the ability to order and then pushing them out while they’re still eating is beyond disrespectful. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The food might be fine, but the service and attitude are completely unacceptable.

Red Cat Kitchen is where bold creativity meets thoughtful, soulful food. From the very first bite to the last moment of the meal, it’s clear this spot is about more than just dinner — it’s about experience. I started with the Island Fresca, a chilled soup that surprised and delighted me. Light, flavorful, and full of freshness. Definitely order it with the Boris Made the Focaccia — the name is fun, and the bread is perfectly herby and warm. My husband had the Blue Hill Maine Mussels, which were such a hit he ordered extra focaccia just to soak up the broth. I followed with the fish and corn risotto — creamy, rich, and full of late-summer flavor. It was all so well-balanced and thoughtful. One thing I loved: you can watch the chefs at work. The open kitchen adds an energetic, almost theatrical feel to the night — you’re watching art happen in real time. The atmosphere is definitely lively — expect a noisy dining room with close seating. It’s part of the charm, but something to be aware of if you’re looking for quiet conversation. Another important note: the menu changes often, and modifications aren’t allowed on cocktails or menu items. I actually respect that — they make everything in-house, from their cocktail syrups to the sauces, so there’s a strong sense of integrity in what they serve. But if you’re picky or have specific needs, it’s something to know ahead of time. And finally — the women’s bathroom. Yes, it deserves its own paragraph. The walls are adorned with Shel Silverstein’s “The Thinker of Tender Thoughts”, expressed in whimsical sketches that gradually transform a man’s head into a bouquet of flowers. The floral decals along the ceiling and the rustic wood vanity mirror give it a personal, poetic feel. I had to stop and take photos. It’s that thoughtful. If you’re in Oak Bluffs and want a meal that feeds both your appetite and your imagination, Red Cat Kitchen should be on your list. Just come ready for a full sensory experience — noise, flavor, artistry, and all.

Excellent, excellent meal, the best we've had in Martha's Vineyard! The risotto was delicious, the brussel sprouts were fantastic. We had the halibut, the salmon, the pasta, all were really great. Really tasty cocktails as well. The service was awesome, the chef is a really cool and the inside has a nice casual vibe. If you come for drinks, check out the nook with the couch seats by the bar!

Our reservation for 8 people was at 7:30 on Wednesday 6/25/25. They required a credit card to make the on line reservation and stated a 30.00 no- show fee. We arrived at 7:20 and were seated promptly. Our server greeted us and was friendly and helpful. We ordered drinks. My drink arrived incorrectly, not as I had asked for it. The server noted the error but did not offer to correct it. She returned a few minutes later and I asked that she please bring me the correct drink. She attempted to add an additional drink to my order made Advised her , “No”, I would like this drink returned and made as I requested. She took the drink back and returned the drink to me the same as it was originally. That was not acceptable. She took the second attempt back and brought me the drink correctly. At the conclusion they attempted to charge me for the incorrect drink. They are known for their fried chicken. That was one of the recommended dishes at Red Cat. I disagree. The chicken was good but certainly not worth the asking price. 40.00 for a mediocre breast of fried chicken with mashed potatoes is certainly not up to my expectations of a fine dining experience. The Brussels sprouts were great. The bluefish was very good. Although I didn’t eat any , others very much enjoyed the steak. Overall not worth the price of the meal. Additionally we were served dinner at 8:55 for our 7:30 reservation on a Wednesday evening Generally underwhelming

The food was immaculate! Really great dishes and drinks. I it’s not the biggest dining space, but we were comfortable and there for the food. We will be making an annual visit here whenever we’re on the island.

Outstanding Vibes - A+ staff and hands down the most beautiful food and beverage on Circuit ave. Must have Brussels, and don’t sleep on the fried chicken. This brûléed Gold Bud Peach was sublime iykyk.

While in Martha’s Vineyard I ate here, this was my first time having mussels out of the shell in a tomato broth vs the usual garlic/butter wine combo. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect.

Be aware that the menu is always changing so what you see here isn’t what you will get in restaurant. We started with the heirloom tomato, which was $19 for three slices, and chowder. Both were fine, but nothing to get excited about. We then shared the fried chicken as our entree. The fried chicken was a bit overcooked, the batter had a slight burnt taste, and some parts of the chicken were very dry. However, the accompanying sweet potato was very overcooked, hard as a rock and completely inedible. We mentioned this to the waitress that cleared our table and all we received was a blank stare. We didn’t expect to be comped or have the kitchen remake, but we do expect acknowledgement and an apology. Nothing special about the atmosphere. The service gets two stars because our main waiter, Lewis, did a good job, but gets knocked down by the waitress’ lack of recognition. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations based upon the star rating on resy, reviews in google and yelp.

Came on a Friday night around 8 pm with a large group and sat inside. Service through the evening was fine but not great. We ordered a round of espresso martinis to start and I would really not recommend them. For dinner I ordered the cauliflower curry but the waiter came back a few minutes later to say that they didn’t have it so I had to pivot. I ended up ordering the bistro salad with chicken. Chicken was good but the salad was for sure not worth ordering. Chick pot pie leaned too soupy, but the wings and pretzel were pretty good.

Nice pub for having a pint. You even get a wooden nickel for each one you drink. Had the shrimp Po boy and it was very flavorful. The French fries were also good. Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I noticed on the bottom of the menu that there is a 3% surcharge on the bill to help top up wages for the staff. You could opt out of this if you wanted. This is so great and I am totally for it. ALL staff should get a living wage so that you don't have to rely on tips.

Dark old school pub atmosphere. The service is spotty. We were charged for something we did order. The food is pretty good. We ordered chicken pot pie 5/5 and bangers and mash 3.5/5.

A solidly good experience today. Our party of three stopped for lunch and were promptly seated. We sat near the bar and were attended to by the bartender who did a great job. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip which came with toast points. Absolutely the best we have ever had! There were nice tender pieces of artichoke (not just the leaves) and perfect amount of spinach. The taste was just great. My mom had chicken pot pie which was a generous portion served in a small cast iron dish. The temperature was perfect and not hot molten lava that doesn’t cool for 15 mins while you watch everyone else eat and you keep burning your mouth. Good ratio of chicken and veggies and nice crisp flavorful crust. My dad had the prime rib sandwich and had enough to bring home for supper. Good flavor to the meat and the au jus dipping sauce was seasoned nicely. He was surprised at just had good the fries were -not your typical cut fries but had so much more flavor. I had the lobster roll which had a good price and a decent amount of lobster on a nicely grilled roll which resembled a hot dog roll but more texture and flavor. All around a very enjoyable lunch!

Loved the vibe in there. Old historic New England, great ambiance and service was great. Food was delicious. I did the shepherds pie and I was happy with it, great flavor!

This place is really cool. I had chowder and fish & chips. Chowder was really good, but the fish & chips were, by far, the best I've ever had. The scene is low key, but really nice. I went out 3 times, porthunter, the Atlantic, and News. News wins all day every day in my book!

Oh how the mighty have fallen. The news was the place to go in Edgartown since it opened in 1993. I have probably been here 40 plus times over the past 32 years and I have a bucket full of wooden nickels to prove it. But since the new owners took over last year it’s a total disappointment, to say the least. Food is WAY over priced, and bland, service is terrible. If you ask for a glass of water they bring you a bottle of Saratoga and charge you 8 bucks. You have to ask separately for ice. The air conditioning is barely working, and the server said it’s been that way and they are in no hurry to get it fixed. On top of everything else they now charge a 4 percent kitchen appreciation tip which is not part of the tip you leave. The hostess at the front was busy on her phone and was totally rude and unprofessional. She would be more suited working at a bowling alley, So for a Cesar salad, Mac and cheese, cheese burger, chicken sandwich and a pretzel it was 175 bucks !!! Even for the vineyard that is pricey. The food was basically what you would get at a TGIF’s. No alcohol by the way. Trust me, I’ve been going here every year since 1993, take your money elsewhere like the wharf, seafood shanty, or the Atlantic. I wish I did. You can thank me later.

The best dining experience I've ever had. Thank you so much to the people of Atria that hosted my husband and I. Thank you chef Goran. It was a night that I will NEVER forget. Thank you Matija and Vuk for serving us and being such charismatic gentlemen. I cannot wait for the next time and to bask in this experience in the future once more.

Gorgeous restaurant in Edgartown. It’s a nice house with a gorgeous patio; pity we could not enjoy the outdoors due to the weather. It’s a little up the street from the main downtown next to a gas station. Service is great and attentive. Everyone, including the GM, were professional, smily and courteous. They were also knowledgeable about the menu. The downside however is the food.. If it was a normally priced place, I would have given them a pass, but for those prices there is no room for error. We had crab cake and calamari for starters; they were very good and the calamari had a great spicy kick. We were four , we had 2 swordfish, one halibut and one lobster. Those mains were very average. I was so looking forward to getting a halibut; the piece was small and dry ;lacked flavor. It was served on some cherry tomatoes, with a dressing and lobster meat, again there was clearly something missing. My friends also were disappointed by their entrees. Insance prices, including for the drinks; like a 22$ plus for.a martini, 7 $ for the bread. It’s a very expensive place but the food does not match unfortunately.

I've been to Atria a number of times over the years and their food and service is always great- however the last couple of visits the level of hospitality has been really impressive. I recently went with 4 other women, all new moms, and had put that little note in the reservation. We showed up to a lovely table with a handwritten note acknowledging our effort to get out of the house (5 new moms, no easy feat) and were given a server who definitely understood the assignment! (I believe her name was Amanda) she was fun and made sure to suggest fun drinks for us, as well as great menu suggestions. The next time upon returning we dined outside at the fire pit table, and the GM recognized our baby from a previous visit and brought him out a onesie! These thoughtful gestures, as well as the outstanding hospitality consistently displayed by the entire staff are what set Atria apart!

This place was so delightful and delicious, my wife and I went 2 nights in a row while visiting MV. On night one, we leaned into the seafood options b/c when in Rome. I had the Bobo's Two Pound Wok Fired Island Lobster; the fried take on a full lobster was new for me and I don't think I ever want it any other way after this super juicy and flavorful result (lovely mashed potatoes with it). My wife had the grilled swordfish, and while I didn't try it, she raved about how perfectly balanced in flavor (she doesn't normally like fish but loved this) and texture it was and she's still talking about it days later. Our friends had the Pan Roasted Duck Breast and Braised Catalan Chickpeas and they were clearly extremely happy with their choices. We all shared the truffle fries (I normally don't like truffle oil but this was amazing), beet salad, and starter ravioli -- and loved it. We had 4 different deserts and each was tastier than the last, especially the epic and super moist carrot cake. On night 2, we went the burger route and my wife and I each had half of the McRippoff and the smash burger and, omg, I would absolutely get the McRippoff once a week if I lived there. The wait staff was extremely friendly and on their game. We went to probably 5 other places on the island while we were there, and while we didn't have a single subpar experience, Atria shined above all the rest. Just wow.

Atria in Edgartown delivered a killer night out - we were down in the Cellar and the vibe was on point. It’s got that cozy-meets-cool energy, with a DJ spinning and setting the tone without overpowering the room. We kicked things off with a round of great cocktails and then dove into the food - the burrata ravioli was rich and dreamy, the calamari was perfectly crispy with delicious aioli, and we tried a lineup of burgers that did not disappoint. The Cellar feels like a hidden gem under one of the island’s classic spot - laid-back but still polished, and a super fun place to post up for dinner or drinks.

Just Wow! What an experience. Classic flavours executed perfectly. Very high level of service from warm and friendly staff. Oh and I highly recommend the carrot cake!

We took my parents here for their 50th anniversary. I had a reservation and told them beforehand. When we got to the table there was an anniversary card on the table which was very sweet. Excellent service from the moment we walked in. Lots of servers helping each other. I wish we had a table outside because the outdoor seating was also gorgeous. The food was absolutely delicious

Food is incredible and on an island where all the menus seem to clone one another, you won’t find these dishes anywhere else. The staff is amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. The VIBE is Creative, Fun and Delicious. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Seriously, go here.

Great dinner on their beautiful patio. No reservations here so make sure you get there before 6 to try and get a table and/or have your wait be under an hour. Food and service were excellent. The burrata was amazing and so were the bay scallops and swordfish!

An absolutely great experience was had dining at 19 Raw Oyster Bar and Steakhouse. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the menu was very friendly to many. I highly recommend dining here if visiting Edgartown and I’ll be back for sure!!

The weather was amazing and we sat out in the deck. Our server, Katie, was delightful. Very informative, professional and welcoming. The food was over the top delicious. Hubby started with a Smoked Blackberry Old Fashion. We had the Smoked Pork Belly with tomato jam and polenta to start. So yummy. I had the salmon and hubby had the Sushi Grade Tuna. Our sides that we shared were both amazing. The Truffle Dauphinoise Potatoes were to die for! Brussels spouts were also delish. We passed on dessert only because we were stuffed. We will be going back before the end of our stay highly recommend.

Came here alone for dinner just before 8 and was sat right away. Service was friendly and I was impressed by my servers knowledge of the different types of oysters on offer. She was also knowledgeable about allergies so I was confident ordering a fully gluten free meal including oysters, steak au poivre, mashed potatoes and jalapeno creamed corn.

Had an excellent lunch , great quality ingredients, beautifully presented. Ceviche and steak tartare were delicious as was the prime rib sandwich. Crème brûlée and cheese cake were fab too. Wine list was quite pricey.

I arrived at 8:00p and the place was really packed. It was a mad house! Not an enjoyable dining atmosphere for the price. Party of 1 so I ate at the bar. Ordered octopus and skirt steak (medium). Octopus was extremely overcooked (felt like leather) and my skirt steak was cooked from a range of burnt to rare 😳 (see photo). Initial thought was to return when I cut into the burnt end but the bartender informed me that its usually well-done on the ends and medium in the middle. A cut mid-middle was medium so I digressed, however the opposite end of my steak was rare 😳! Each cut of my steak became the running joke for the couple next to me. Complete contrast in food and service from years past. Also no longer accepts Amex (which they do not make you aware of until after you have dined 🤦🏾‍♀️).

We had the best experience last week at the Outermost Inn. We had booked for our last night on the island and were looking forward to a spectacular dinner. When we arrived, we learned that the kitchen was closed due to a faulty hood fan. We had a drink and some treats from the raw bar while we figured out what to do with seven people last minute in the high season (!) Sitting there admiring the golden light and sipping cocktails, we thought about all the food they had planned to serve that night, so asked if we could possibly buy some steaks and butter from the kitchen. The chef was consulted and agreed. Twenty minutes later, to our great surprise, a crate full of dishes came our way. The chef had made us a care package of filet mignon to cook at home, caramelised carrots, silky mashed potatoes, sautéed broccoli, metake mushrooms and enough butter to cook fifty steaks. We added a couple of bottles of Oregon Pinot Noir and we were set for a feast! We can’t thank the team at The Outermost enough for rescuing our night and making it truly special.

Chef Christian's culinary expertise is readily apparent. The food presentation was executed with meticulous precision. The service provided was of an exceptional standard. The three-course meal was exceptionally delectable. The entire dining experience was truly outstanding. The Wagyu steak and lobster were prepared to an exceptional standard. Best meal of my life. The Outtermost Inn provided an unforgettable evening. This was an exceptional dining experience. My wife, Melissa, and I extend our sincere gratitude to Chef Christian for his gracious hospitality. We heard great reviews of this place and the views and atmosphere was wonderful. Unfortunately the food was overall poor, especially at the price point. The escargot and buffalo was decent but the rest of the food was shockingly mediocre. We got the salmon appetizer, beef Wellington, lobster, risotto, and crème brûlée, all were a combination of dry, burnt, or flavorless. We would recommend stopping by for a drink at their outdoor space if you are in the area, but the meal was overpriced and not worth it.

Gorgeous setting, excellent service, delicious food. We highly recommend the burrata and escargot first course and Wellington & lobster shared entree. We arrived early for the view and ordered a manhattan and Negroni-they were okay. We tipped a bit more than 20% for outstanding service; our bill came to $475. We read plenty of unfavorable reviews about the food preparation and exorbitant cost. So it came as a lovely surprise that everything was spot on (food, service, setting) for a celebratory evening. We went in knowing it would be expensive and made the most of it-ordering what really really wanted (lobster and Wellington was generous portions and took half home to avoid feeling stuffed). No regrets. We do plan to return later in the week to enjoy the view-will order a beer and wine this time.

Restaurant review only - lovely 3 course tasting menu (although it seems very overpriced for what you get, I guess that is MV pricing and you’re paying for the location and overall experience) . We all tried different dishes and they were 75% wonderful. Lamb was the highlight, scallops good. Desserts need work but also good enough! Great waiter and bar staff is always exceptional.

The location is stunningly beautiful. The food was unfortunately not great. The food did not have much flavor and was nothing special. Excellent service. Would recommend going for drinks and oysters but not the prix fixe dinner.

Exceptional Dining Experience with Stunning Vibes We had an incredible dinner at Outermost Inn Restaurant in Martha’s Vineyard—easily one of the most memorable meals of our trip. The setting is cozy and picturesque, the staff is warm and attentive, and the entire experience felt elevated yet inviting. Before our meal, we ordered the charcuterie board and loved everything about it—the variety of cheeses, the jam, and all the thoughtful accompaniments. For our first course, we sampled several appetizers, each one unique and delicious: a fennel, crab, and apple dish that was amazingly fragrant and fresh; salmon prepared beautifully; and escargot with gnocchi, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly executed. The chef surprised us with an amuse-bouche, which set the tone for the rest of the night. The truffle-flavored pasta, served as an intermittent course, was outstanding—earthy, aromatic, and indulgent. For mains, the Wagyu Wellington was absolutely phenomenal—tender, perfectly cooked, and paired beautifully with lobster, broccoli rabe, and seared carrots for a luxurious, well-balanced plate. The striped bass with caviar was also excellent, fresh, and well-composed (though I personally could have used just a pinch more salt). While the desserts were our least favorite part of the evening—not because they weren’t good, but because the earlier courses had set such an incredibly high bar—the overall experience more than made up for it. From start to finish, the service was flawless. Our server was knowledgeable, engaging, and made us feel truly cared for. We would absolutely return—this is a must-visit for anyone in Martha’s Vineyard looking for exquisite food, wonderful service, and a truly memorable night out.

While the bartenders were nice, it’s really messed up not to give tap water for free. $3 for a small can of STORE BRAND flat water is egregious and the bar manager/owner should be ashamed of themselves. I’ve never been to a bar (or worked at one) where water was not available for free. This establishment is just ASKING for a fine for overserving. I guess the owner thinks they can get away with it since it’s the vineyard. Well- I live on the Cape, and you should be ashamed of yourself. When I mentioned it to the bartender, he was too afraid to even mention it to the owner. It’s unfortunate that seasonal establishments can get away with things like this because the population is so transient.

I was here a few weeks ago, waited more than 20 minutes at the front of the bar to get a drink. The girl next to me ordered 4 drinks, I ordered 2, and the bartender mixed our cards up and accidentally charged me for the 4 drinks and the girl next to me for my 2. When I asked if they could void it, they replied with well I can give you 2 more drinks. I called the next day to see if I could get the charge taken off my card because I really didn't feel like paying $50 for the 2 drinks I ordered despite the fact that we walked away with 4 unwanted drinks, and they said someone would give me a call back. I never received a call. Am not willing to fight with the bar or tell on a bartender for an honest mistake, I just thought it would be easy to get money back from a business that I did not intend on giving them.

The DJ was terrible, they charged $3 for water, and the bartender spilled my drink on me...

The manager of this place told our party of 25 that one 6 month old was not allowed in at 7:45pm because, and I quote, "too many fights break out here." I asked him if I should announce that to the group and he offered to buy my one beer. The pizza was good, but the manager was an idiot and cost his staff a significant amount of tips. Apparently a place with game tables is not kid friendly.

It was my first but not last time on the island, winter, quiet, great pizza, perfect get away with friends to play some pool, hang out, trow some darts. Heard it gets packed but that will be another review, hopefully in the summer.

Look I think,my review is based partially on th e time of year but shame on you Loft!!! They clear had literally not cleaned up at all from,thr night before lith cans and bottle,cans and,napkins on,the,floor and the floors where amazingly sticky for 6pm. Worse offense, ZERO. Prices on thr alcohol menu. They where busy due to a smart 15 dollar all you can eat pizza bar but the cost seems hugh due to what seemed to me,a perfect food poisoning setting. Get your shit together fast!! Bathrooms also filthy.

Pizza di Napoli Review: Its the best pizza on the island. Noone else comes close. If you actually appreciate a good pie and not the cheese bread the rest of this rock serves, give it a try. Huge size, quality toppings, and a wonderful selection of specialty pies.

The Best Clam Chowder on the Island! We originally stopped into Martha’s Vineyard Chowder Company midday just to try their famous clam chowder—and wow, am I glad we did! When we arrived, the outdoor seating area was packed. They had only one or two high-top tables available outside, and while the indoor dining area isn’t huge, it definitely offers more seating than the outside area. The bar, however, is a good size, and we were lucky enough to find two open seats there while we waited for our to-go order. That ended up being the perfect choice. The bar was lively and welcoming, with great energy, and we decided to order two cocktails while we waited. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Before long, our chowder arrived—and even though it was meant to be “to-go,” we couldn’t resist enjoying it right there at the bar. The chowder was absolutely delicious—rich and flavorful without being overbearingly creamy, perfectly balanced, and loaded with fresh flavor. Honestly, I wish we had ordered more right then and there. Now, I have to admit—the photo I took of the to-go chowder is not the most appealing food photo I’ve ever taken (lol). But don’t let that fool you—it was still every bit as amazing as I’ve described. This was one of the food experiences on our Vineyard bucket list, and it completely lived up to the hype. We’ll definitely be back for a full sit-down meal and another big, steaming bowl of that chowder. Chef’s kiss—highly recommend!

Always great food. Truly best chowder in our opinion, the lobster bisque is delicious and very buttery as well. Love the south beach cocktail. Our server Igor was incredibly friendly and truly topped off our experience as wonderful! An island vacation staple!

This is our go to place when we visit Martha’s Vineyard the food and service is always amazing. I’ve had lobster rolls from many different places and my wife and kids agree that this is the best lobster rolls we ever had. Lobster is always fresh and they don’t skimp out on the quantity. That roll is stacked! 😋

Cannot recommend the lobster rolls here. Meat isn’t the best cuts and not fresh. We also found shells in it. The roll is also drenched in butter. I prefer when places give you butter on the side to add to taste. I would stick to the chowder, which is what this place specializes in.

The food was really good. We set immediately but it took a very long time to receive the food. However, the food did not disappoint. The lobster roll is hands down THE BEST!

This place could get more stars!! We made State Road our first stop once getting to MV and were fortunate to get a spot at the bar - we had no reservations. The food was perfect and full of flavor. There are too many good things to say for one review. The only negative is that fine dining establishments like this one give small portions and I left hungry. If you ever come to MV this is a must eat restaurant. As good as any place I’ve been in my life. Flawless experience

This is a solid restaurant with good food. The generous pour of wine and great atmosphere is something to be repeated. Young toddlers played outside and older adults chatted with friends. The food was fresh and the olive oil cake brought back great memories.

Tuesday night is burger night so we planned to go here all along! We both ordered Wood Grilled Burger which was wagyu beef, balsamic onions, bacon, cheddar or brie, garlic dill pickles on a potato bun. We shared a side of fries. Everything was tasty and we are glad we added this to our culinary journey of Martha’s Vineyard.

Everything about State Road is excellent. From the warm inviting atmosphere, to the friendly and knowledgable wait staff, to the top notch food. We have been here a couple of times and can not say enough good things about our experiences here. We brought a friend to dinner with us last night and every bite of everything we got was so good we kept sharing bites with each other. Reasonably priced for what you get with large portion sizes and nice menu options for everyone. The appetizer plates are generously sized, great for sharing and the wine list has a nice variety of price points. Don't skip dessert, we loved our Olive Oil Cake and the Chocolate Terrine. This is a not to be missed dinning experience.

Definitely make a reservation. Very well crafted space with curtains and hidden lighting. The Hen of the woods with soubise I could eat for hours! Focaccia is good to share and unique. Carrots weren't really developed they're just sorta soft carrots :/ could roast them slower and longer. Panda cup sake was super good like alcohol but smooth coconut water. The lamb had no taste it was like everything else on the plate had a voice but the lamb was just texture with grilledness.. It was expertly cooked though.

As year rounders, we generally suffer through the summer with super over priced, often mediocre meals at all the super hot spots that summer visitors flock to. We generally just stay home. Tonight we enjoyed a fabulously prepared meal at State Road. Other than the very excellent food, with rich flavors and perfect quality and presentation, the highlight was the service. The staff is attentive, collaborative, and skilled without being intrusive. So different than our experience at any other Vineyard restaurant during the summer. Thanks so much. Wish you could do something more about the noise level in the main dining room. We're older and hard of hearing and it's pretty loud when full. But we'll keep coming for the great food and great service team.

Been coming to State Road ever since it opened. Could t be a more loyal customer through all the changes/chefs etc. Wanted to book for my 20th anniversary. They wouldn’t make an exception to their one month out reservation policy which I was surprised at, but what was worse the woman was very rude and hung up on me!! That’s always the problem with Martha’s Vineyard, loyalty can be a one way street because they know there aren’t as many options, and people can just be rude to their best customers without a second thought. It is a great restaurant though so I gave the food 5 stars and the atmosphere 5 stars, just have to tolerate the arrogance/rudeness sometimes. I guess we’ll go somewhere else!

Dinner was spectacular and our server Filip was incredibly helpful with menu suggestions and recommendations. The outdoor garden atmosphere was cozy and serene. After almost 40 years of drinking martinis, this is the first restaurant/bartender that was able to make a genuine & proper James Bond Martini. The menu is a true testament to local and seasonal offerings, not just your typical tourist restaurant staples, you can tell that the chef goes out of their way to entice his audience with unique fare that is fresh and creative.

First time in Martha's Vineyard. Dine at The Sweet Life our server Chloe was amazing. But the true gym was the food it was delicious. I definitely would recommend Martha's Vineyard to anyone who wants to have a beautiful Point quiet and relaxing vacation here but if you want some sweet delicious food go to the Sweet Life, I heard Barack Obama even likes this place. Is definitely a thumbs up for me see why I call your attorney

Environment was on point. Service was surprisingly sub par for such a nice spot. Our server was good, but others didn't seem to quite understand restaurant etiquette. Scallop dish was yummy with the pomegranate seeds. Octopus was a bit charred, as was the focaccia but still pretty tasty. Pork belly was amazing.

Excellent restaurant in Oak Bluff. We started with the Negroni with Balsamic. Delicious. We share the focaccia, the mussels and mafalde. Each was wonderful. For mains, we had the sea scallops, tautog and pork chops. Each dish was fantastic and enjoyed by all. I highly recommend.

We’ve only been in MV for 2 days but everything was so good I’m having a hard time thinking we will find better. Our server Ashly was super friendly and attentive A++

I have to second the sewage stench another reviewer mentioned!! It's absurd - it seems worse the closer to the bar you are on the patio. It wafts through whenever the back door opens which is constantly. Really disgusting. I was offended they sat me it what has to be known as the 'bathroom' seat and moved all the large parties to the far end where you're in the clear. Food-wise: I'm vegetarian and my waitress warned that the single option I had for entree would be less fulfilling than the meat courses for the same price. Not a good sign! If you are routinely getting feedback like that then do something about it; don't start dispensing 'beware' notices to guests before they eat. The sticky toffee pudding was served cold with a synthetic-tasting caramel. I asked for tea and they put such a small amount of water in the pot, it did not fill the tiny cup I was given and kept going cold. I had to repeatedly ask for more and could not leave the bag inside to brew since they kept having to replace it. It seemed like they didn't know how tea works.

The Sweet Life Café in Martha's Vineyard offers an exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere is inviting, and its prime location adds to its appeal. I started with the Iron Ranger cocktail, which was really tasty and well-balanced. The subtle hints of pineapple and almond enhanced the drink tremendously. The focaccia might have been the best bread I’ve ordered for dinner ever. Really flavorful, soft, and fresh. For the appetizer, I chose the HAMACHI CRUDO. It was incredibly fresh and melted like butter in my mouth. My entrée was the MAFALDE, featuring pistachio pesto, crab, asparagus, and anchovy pangrattato. The crab was soft and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful and delicious. I finished my meal with an espresso martini, a perfect end to a wonderful dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend The Sweet Life Café for friends, family gatherings, or a romantic date night. It's a spot I'd love to visit again.

Blown away by the food and service. 10/10 recommend. My husband was only a week into his Celiac diagnosis when we visited Martha's Vineyard. We were concerned we wouldn't be able to find Celiac restaurants AND delicious meals. Chilmark Tavern delivered. Their Halibut dish was perfectly cooked with a bright broth and crispy spring veggies. Their duck was rich with a beautiful cherry sauce and skin was crispy crispy crispy. They even had an incredible gluten free crème brûlée which happens to be my husband and I's favorite dessert. We came with my 3 year old daughter and I'm sure they don't have any toddlers here yet they were so kind and accommodating. Our waiter went above and beyond making sure our meals were celiac safe and made toddler modifications. Oh and before I forget their mocktails were refreshing and it's hard to find a good mocktail that isn't overly sweet. I am very grateful for Chilmark Tavern!

I like the concept of this place, relaxed, easy, airy, yet with a bent towards sophistication, but there were several misses. First the hits... The mussels were very well done. The sauce was deep, rich and well executed. The big boxy bread was a treat - and the butter a perfect herb infused compliment. The fish and chips, a staple, had an excellent batter, but for nearly $50, was a bit of a eye watering price for two pieces of fried fish on a bed of fries. The fish that night, in an iridescent green broth, looked divine, but it was thin and rather bland. I heard the duck was well done, but didn't taste it. In general, if you come here, the service will be great, the prices astronomical, and the food overall solid to very good, the prices knock this down to a B overall.

This restaurant has a comfortable and welcoming vibe. The staff is attentive and superb; working as a team. The dishes are creative and always on point as are the cocktails/mocktails. I would highly recommend making a trip up island to dine here. BYOB but the basil martini is not to be missed, nor the hot fudge sundae! Go to Resy now!

A fancy, expensive restaurant with genuinely good food. I had the pasta with cream sauce, and the portion was much more generous than I expected. A couple people with me raved about the fish. Dessert was a shared creme brulee, which was a little toasty in flavor. Overall, a good meal. Reservations are a must in the summer. Be warned: it's BYOB, with a corking fee for wine bottles.

We stayed in Aquinnah this past week. First night we needed to find a place to eat. Called here and was greeted by a very friendly person who made us a reservation for 7p. We got there right around 650. Parking was a little tough but we ended up in the market lot next door since they closed at 7. We were seated quickly outside. Great spot. Comfortable atmosphere. Very nice waitress. Menu had a lot to offer. Ended up ordering the squid, 2 orders of fish and chips and the steak. Food came out surprisingly fast but it was piping hot and very good. We all enjoyed our food, no complaints. Service continued to be great through out dinner. No alcohol in this town, we didn’t bring anything with us but you are allowed to BYOB which is cool. Pricing was on the higher side particularly the steak. Understandable for a nice restaurant in a quaint MA island town. With that said we were happy and left satisfied. From all the restaurants we ate at during our 4 day visit to MV I will say this was the best food especially the fish and chips. Well that’s it for now. Hopefully we see you again in a future visit! For those reading this i recommend this place!

Chilmark Tavern definitely defied my expectations. I came here simply because I’m staying in West Tisbury, and by the time I had checked in to my hostel it was one of the few places still open nearby. I saw “tavern” and figured it would be typical tavern fare, but it definitely is not. It’s an upscale and expensive restaurant, and the food and service were both incredible. Be aware that it is BYOB, I was an idiot and ordered a virgin paloma not realizing that. It’s probably the closest to fine dining I’ve ever been, although the dinosaur coloring pages at the bar undercut that a bit. While fine dining isn’t really my style, I was very happy with my experience. Never had I experienced so much order regret at a restaurant before, and it’s not because I didn’t enjoy what I had but just that I wanted to try so many things on the menu. I had a ricotta toast special and tuna tartare, both were supremely presented, thoughtfully flavored dishes. The price is quite steep, but I have no regrets.

Had a great experience here. The atmosphere was really casual, but nice; the service was 5 stars; the menu was really inventive. Four stars overall because, even though the food was very unique, it didn’t deliver as much flavor as I would have liked. The pasta dish pictured here was good, but not great; the scallops were good, but again, not a great overall dish (although they were cooked nicely). The place is BYOB—$14 corking fee for a bottle of wine—which I think is very reasonable. Overall, prices are fair. I’d go back to try some other things, but for now, I’m fairly impressed!

Very nice looking sports barish. Sat at the bar and the bar tender was very friendly and helpful. He suggested great beers and was very good at his job. We ordered our food and it came out quickly and hot! I ordered the fish sandwich and the tomato in the sandwich was bigger than the actual fish. The small pieces of fish there were in it did taste excellent. The fries were on point. Father in law order the popcorn chicken which is just cut up chicken strips. They were good just not what was expected. The service was great, the location is great, but the food could use a little step up compared to other places on the island. Will definitely give it a try again in the near future. Looking forward to it.

Came here on a work trip. It was during trivia night so the restaurant was abuzz with people, good music and fun times. Food was very good and the service was quick! I got the Surf and Turf which came with steak tips over mashed potatoes and fried scallops. Delicious!

We went for lunch around 1:30-2pm on the Sunday after July 4. The chef was taking shots with his friends at the bar and the waitress was making out with someone. Horrible unprofessional service and atmosphere. We sat at the bar and was barely attended to. Don’t waste your time going here. In a response to the owner- I’ve been coming to the island for years. We went to TownMV, I didn’t get the place confused, just accidentally thought it was Monday but we went on Sunday July 6. You may want to reevaluate your staff. They were taking shots of grand marnier, happy to provide other details

Mother's day brunch. We usually dine at Lola's each year. They went out of business. We like the buffet style for brunch. I saw mention of Town having that. Called for a reservation. Mike guided me to that. Easy parking. Walked in the door. Great decorations. Clean and stylish. They even have a pancake machine. The buffet was a bit small but had more than enough to fill our plates. Our table was a bit wobbly. The service was great. Its new. Room for improvement. I look forward to our next visit.

I cannot thank Town enough for taking the time to discuss a food allergy. It allowed our family a much needed night to enjoy. The sushi was amazing! We will be back.

Nice outdoor sections with lots of seating. Seems like more of a sports bar inside, but the outside made for a very nice location for brunch. The road is right there but it’s good people watching. Food was not bad, nothing exceptional but at the same time nothing was off. Basic brunch egg options, salads, and sandwiches. Service was good.

I was told by a local that this place had some great food. After riding my bike all day long from place to place I was in need of a good fillng meal. I asked how the half roasted chicken was and was told by the bartender that people come here just for that. So that's what I ordered and I'm glad I did because it was delicious and I was full. The roasted chicken came with mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy.

I brought my family here for lunch for nostalgia as they’d never been & have heard me speak of the Black Dog for many years. Unfortunately it was during the 1st heat wave of the year. Hoping to catch some relief from the heat when we went inside, we were very disappointed to find they had all the windows open and no air conditioning on. I was literally sweating from head to toe. No breeze today. Not even a fan for some relief for those sitting by the opened windows. The waitress was very polite and professional. Her speed was appreciated. We ordered the Cobb Salad with Grilled Chicken, the Shrimp Fra Diavolo, and they special-made a Grilled Cheese sandwich. The food was served in small portion size. The shrimp pasta was a bit spicy for my hubby, but he did eat the whole thing. I would have liked more greens on my plate but it was delicious. My daughter thought the Grilled cheese and sides were delicious. We found we were still hungry only a couple hours afterwards. I believe they’re overpriced for what we received; mainly paying for the brand rather than the food. We probably won’t be returning and really don’t recommend if you’re really hungry.

Huge portions, great views, very cool vibe inside. It’s an iconic brand. The food was amazing as well. We had breakfast. Possibly the best pancakes I’ve ever had. If not, top two. Huge portions for the price. Great flavors too! Service was excellent. Go early!!!! We were there on off season and was packed after 8am. Not a lot of parking either. Must be a mad house in the busy season.

Tried to stop in around noon and were told they were only serving a “mezze” menu and lunch started at 12:30 which was confusingly communicated by the hostess and in an unfriendly way. Not to worry though We grabbed some snacks, coffee, and shopped a bit at all the other Black Dog spots until we were able to be seated at 12:30 with a bunch of other families who were all also waiting to eat. Atmosphere inside is great and you can’t beat the nostalgia factor. Crab spinach and artichoke dip was incredibly good. The lobster rolls were the best we’ve had yet in the Cape Cod area (although the coleslaw left something to be desired). Caesar salad was pretty standard and the crab cakes were just ok. The sauce and corn was good but the crab cakes were too thin and too fried for my taste. The presentation also could use some work. Other than the service not being the greatest and the unkind hostess, we had a lovely time with beautiful views and tasty food!

We go every time we're on the Vineyard, and it's hard to beat for its food, location and atmosphere. very good clam chowder, and the fried calamari with a garlic butter dipping sauce was delicious. (I was halfway through when I decided to take a photo.)

Soup looked delicious and the calamari was great. Loved the fried peppers mixed through it. The fish & chips were okay. Our server was amazing and you can’t beat eating basically on the water.

We had a great meal here. Food was excellent, better than expected and the service was good too. Bit pricey but that was expected.

Outstanding crab/spinach/artichoke dip. The clam chowder was also very tasty. Service was a bit on the slow side. The merchandise shops didn't have a T-shirt or polo in my size, so I went without. All I got was blank looks when I asked them to call a taxi to get back to the ferry.

My wife and I came here for her birthday dinner. The waitress, Marry Beth and the others that waited on us were top notch, they provided us with the best service! Marry Beth was very helpful at explaining how the foods were prepared and was very attentive along with the rest of the staff. The food was great, from the starters to the desert it was absolutely delicious. We couldn't have asked for a better eperience with the service or food, we will certainly be back!

The dining experience here is formal and classy. With white table clothes and plenty of greenery around it makes for a nice date night out. The food was very good but just shy of being excellent. It’s a must stop if in Edgartown whether you want dinner or a few drinks.

The service is excellent, the cocktails are amazing. The food is very good, but pricey. The dining room atmosphere is a little plain, the bar side is beautiful. Never going to be disappointed.

By far the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I wholeheartedly trust L’etoile with all of my special occasions. The atmosphere is charming inside as well as outside on the patio. Once you get used to the outstanding level of service that is provided here, it is hard to go back to most restaurants. The menu provides enough choices for any level of pickiness, and you can absolutely taste the hard work and ingenuousness behind it in every single bite. The cocktails are out of this world, and, combined with the amazing atmosphere at the bar, I often meet my friends here to enjoy a cocktail and have an amazing time. Every time.

My Wife and I had an amazing dining experience at L'Etoile from the moment we arrived to good bye! We ate out in the front yard which made all the difference. The lawn dining area / open tent is close enough to the street to see people go by but not too close for comfort. The garden area as you walk in was in peak bloom. It was a cool summer night with soft blues playing from a bar close by. We had Oysters Two-Styles. I Never had an oyster with cream in the shell, very good and std vinegar type. Excellent. The Menemsha Lobster was prepared perfectly and so was the Rack of Lamb Chops. I would go back in a heartbeat but it took months to get a reservation. Cost for dinner and drinks for two was $213 + tip. A real night to remember.

My husband and I had dinner at l'etoile for our wedding anniversary and we're impressed by the restaurant's ambience, food, and level of service. Food: - Braised short ribs ($22) were delicious but it was the maple-smoked cheddar polenta that temped us to lick the plate clean - Lamb chop ($52) was delicious, no gamey-ness at all. The accompanying spinach and roast tomato grape leaf tartlet seemed random but was very tasty! - Lobster ($68) was delicious, as was the pasta. That said, this entree was spendy. Ambience: Like many businesses in Edgartown, this restaurant is in a house, with seating on the front lawn on Adirondack chairs, inside in tastefully renovated rooms with mood lighting, or outside under a semi-permanent tent that still has tables dressed with white tablecloths and decorated as tastefully as the restaurant's indoor dining tables. Service: The staff were very friendly, attentive, well-trained, quick with the water refills, and not too stuffy or pompous. We felt very welcome! Parking: Street parking only, which can be hard to come by in the area, even during the off season.

This was a great experience. Good food and cocktails, also amazing service. Loved the Australian influence, especially the lamb and the pavlova. Everything we ordered tasted fantastic, including the drinks. Definitely try the Startini, and if you like Bellinis drink the Syndeytini. We felt like the price was appropriate for the food/experience. And very reasonable for Martha's Vineyard. Also I loved the pea and asparagus soup. Yes good enough for its own paragraph.

Amazing experience – the food was delicious and perfectly prepared! We started with shrimp in a creamy dip with crispy bread, which was the perfect appetizer. The main course – a perfectly cooked steak served with fresh asparagus and potatoes – was truly impressive. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was attentive and professional. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Chesca’s food isn’t as good as it used to be. And the service felt a little chaotic. My entree was never put in so I ended up eating a dish that was brought to our table by accident and they still charged us for it. Which I wouldn’t have minded so much if it all tasted really good but it was just good not great. I don’t recommend the lobster pinsa which is advertised as a pizza. It’s a cold dish .

Chesca’s Restaurant is my favorite on the island! First, the food is hands-down amazing! The service was spot on for our party of 20. Every dish was full of flavor and freshness! The entrees were perfect and so were our wine selections. In addition, I had an engagement cake made by one of the owners and the Chef himself came to congratulate us as well as our families! You MUST stop by for your special occasions as these are wonderful people who filled our evening with great food, great atmosphere, and great service! We can’t wait to go back again for more great food!

Last night (8/8/25) our family of 5 decided that we wanted to go out for dinner. We were curtly turned away from several area restaurants until we arrived at Chesca’s Restaurant. We were greeted by Lauren with a kind smile as she invited us into their nearly full restaurant. She warmly made some room and seated us within 10 minutes. We were greeted by lovely servers and the staff and food were fantastic! Thank you Chesca’s we can’t wait to visit you again, you’re our new island favorite restaurant!

Chescas’s is a delightful restaurant with the best food, drinks, and atmosphere I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy! The staff are helpful, kind, and accommodating. The food arrives quickly, and the presentation is always beautiful. I have been here many times and will be back for years to come!

I had the Pappardelle Bolognese and I added meatballs and it was soooo good! The free warm rolls are also really good. Chesca's is my favorite restaurant on Martha's Vineyard. The atmosphere is really cool, outside in the courtyard a band was playing, and they have rocking chairs on their large porch, it's a really cool vibe. I make sure to go to Chesca's every time I'm on the Vineyard!

Two weeks ago, on September 5th, we had the pleasure of dining at Chesca’s in Martha’s Vineyard with our in-laws, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the warm ambiance and beautiful setting made us feel welcome and relaxed. The live music playing outside added a charming touch with the perfect soundtrack to a perfect evening. We began with a selection of appetizers that were both artful and delicious. The Autumn Spinach Salad was a standout! It tasted like fall in every bite: refreshing, earthy, and beautifully balanced. Though technically a side, we ordered the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer, and they were crispy, flavorful, and addictive. We also shared the meatballs, hearty and comforting, and the Seared Scallops, which were so delicious. Every bite was a celebration of flavor and texture. The Crispy Eggplant Parmesan was rich, satisfying, and beautifully plated. For entrées, I had the halibut with celery purée and swapped the green beans for more of those irresistible Brussels sprouts. Others at the table enjoyed the golden risotto with short ribs and the pappardelle bolognese, each dish met with rave reviews. The service was friendly, attentive, and truly five-star. We felt cared for from start to finish. We also took photos of our meals because they were too beautiful not to capture. The food was so irresistible that we all started taking pictures after a few bites, we couldn’t help ourselves! Every plate was a work of art, and the flavors matched the presentation. Chesca’s is more than a restaurant, it’s an experience. Whether you're celebrating something special or just want a memorable meal, this place delivers. Highly recommended!

Behind the Bookstore is an absolute gem - tucked away and full of charm. Everything here is made in-house, and you can taste the difference in every bite. The fresh-baked pastries and bread are next level - flaky, warm, and wildly satisfying. We had a hard time choosing just one, so naturally we didn’t. The drinks are also spot on - well-crafted and balanced, whether you’re going for a latte or something a little stronger. The vibe is relaxed but elevated, and it’s the kind of place you want to linger. A must-visit if you’re in Edgartown looking for a caffeine boost.

Finally, a place on the vineyard that is offering something other than lobster rolls and crab cakes. Nestled behind the local bookstore under canvas sails and oak trees, you can find this little gem of an eatery. From mushroom tacos to Asian veg rice bowls, they offer a diverse selection of healthy and different food options that don’t include meat, fish or cheese. Not exclusively vegan but def vegan friendly. Quick service and relaxed vibe.

Crazy busy in the summer! Fair selection of food with a nice outdoor seating area. You'll wait for your food once ordered. It's not cheap. The chicken sandwich was pretty tasty as was the chocolate chip cookie.

A great hidden place….I had an excellent grilled chicken sandwich! Highly recommend. They also make some incredible specialized drinks that are very popular. Very cool outdoor atmosphere.

This was nice. I came here for a nice read while enjoying my coffee and breakfast. I ordered a catado coffee and a cold brew with a breakfast order of Shakshuka. The atmosphere was very relaxing in a very busy Cafe. The coffee was spot on, however the eggs in the Shakshuka was overcooked. I asked one of the staff if they could remake the order for the eggs to be runny and they immediately followed through with kindness. The 2nd time came back extremely mouthwatering with great flavors! The staff did circle around and check on me to see how it came out again and apologise. Thanks so much for the wonderful service! Will be back again!

Place itself is very very cute, is the food amazing, no, is it one of the better options on the island yes. The shakshuka is very American, not a bit of spice in it, but as NY’ers we are privy to very good food. So for MV it earns a 4

All the food was great. The blueberry latte at breakfast and the Caesar salad at dinner are both amazing!

Stopped by one a Sunday 20 min before they closed at 4 pm. The young lady made the patrons very aware they had to go because she “had to close”. I got the lemon bar, which was very good and was undecided between two specials on the outside board the pumpkin chai latte with caramel or the cinnamon lavender latte. The young lady, taking my order, suggested the pumpkin because it was seasonal whereas the cinnamon lavender they have all year. So I went with that.

Espresso Love is exactly the kind of charming coffee shop you’d expect to see in a movie or TV show. After a lot of walking and a big seafood meal at Atlantic Fish & Chop House, it was the perfect pick me up. It’s friendly, cozy, and full of character, from the delicious pastries and cookies to the local newspaper you can pick up with your order. The garden patio provides a beautiful outdoor setting just steps from the heart of Edgartown, making it a great spot to sit back and relax. Whether you’re craving something sweet or just need a caffeine boost to keep exploring, this is the place to go. If you’re in town for the day or spending the weekend, do yourself a favor and start your morning here.

We absolutely loved Espresso Love during our trip to Martha’s Vineyard! We ended up coming here almost every day of our 6-day stay. We were staying in Edgartown and made it a morning ritual to walk over for a fresh scone (they rotate flavors daily!) and an iced tea and matcha. The online ordering option was super convenient, especially on busy mornings when the line was long. There’s also a great back patio with plenty of seating — perfect for enjoying breakfast outside. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re on the island!

Lovely outdoor seating area. Welcoming staff. Good selection of sandwiches and pastries. Centrally located in town. I had the peach vegan scone which was yummy. Coffee was ok. Just under $11 plus tip for a coffee and scone.

I hope Vika and everyone are doing wonderfully. I truly love this place — the last time I visited was in 2018, but it still feels like yesterday. I still miss the delicious cookies, sandwiches, and coffee! I hope to come back soon with my family. Wishing you all the very best and sending lots of warm memories your way.

A hidden gem! Their sandwiches were delicious and the seating area was adorable- with complimentary water as well. After a long bike trip exploring the island, this was definitely the go-to place!

A must try!!! Leslie made my husband the best caramel latte that he’s ever had, and he’s had them from all over. Super sweet staff. Not only wonderful coffee, charming atmosphere, the friendliest staff but also yummy pastries.

We had an incredible lunch at Lobsterville with a stunning water view. The food was delicious—fresh seafood, flavorful dishes, and tasty cocktails. Our server, Greta, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. Perfect spot for a relaxing meal by the water. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The second floor has the best view to eat on the Island in my opinion. The food is priced good considering it's on an island. 35 for a lobster roll that's full is very reasonable. They also have excellent hand cut regular and sweet potato fries. The service is also quick. I have eaten there three times. Our go to spot!

We visited Lobsterville in Oak Bluffs and had a mixed experience. We were greeted and seated right away, which was nice, and we appreciated being given the option to sit inside or outside. The outdoor view was beautiful, but the sun was intense, so we opted to sit inside. Unfortunately, the table they brought us to had just been cleaned and was still soaking wet. The plastic menus were sticking to the surface, and since there were no napkins provided, we couldn’t dry it ourselves. It took about 15 minutes before our server came over to greet us. We started with waters, then ordered drinks. I got the Mango Passion frozen margarita (it wasn’t frozen). My aunt had the classic margarita on the rocks and said it tasted rancid, and my mom had a frozen classic that was overly sweet and tasted like it didn’t have much alcohol in it. The food, however, was the highlight. We had the lobster roll, calamari, salmon, coleslaw, crab salad, and fries, everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The fries in particular were unique and super delicious. One odd moment: there was a server walking around in what looked like very revealing shorts. Her booty cheeks were hanging out but don’t knock it, I’m not sure if that’s the dress code or just her style. Overall, the food was good, but the service was slow, drinks were disappointing, and the experience didn’t fully live up to expectations, especially for the price tag. Would I go back? Maybe for the food.

Fun spot on the water, prices are reasonable (for the area), and my bisque was really good. Lobster roll was pretty pricey for what you get, but what else is new. The seafood skewers were not my favorite, don't really recommend those. Staff was nice, this is a small location so be warned it might be tough to get in during busy hours.

Stopped by today and really enjoyed the live music, it was such a great atmosphere! Unfortunately, there were a few rowdy guests at the downstairs bar who had clearly had too much to drink. They were rude to the staff and even threatened to leave a bad review after being cut off, which I felt was unfair. I just wanted to share this so it doesn’t reflect poorly on the business, because this place is truly wonderful, delicious food, beautiful view, and such a kind, welcoming team. I really appreciate all you do!

I had the best lobster roll here it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The view was absolutely breathtaking & truly the best on the harbor! The menu offered a fantastic variety of delicious options, and our server was outstanding, they were attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

I stopped by while I was waiting for the ferry back to Hyannis. Unfortunately, I didnt have enough time to order food, but I did have an ice cold beer at the bar, and it really hit the spot. Everyone was really friendly, and I will definitely come back for the food next time I am on the Vineyard.

This is my first time visiting Martha’s Vineyard and my friends and I stopped by SAND BAR for dinner. The food was delicious, the vibes were fun and Kelsey, our server, was exceptional. Kelsey recommended some of the best dishes and she was very kind to us. We will be visiting again when we are back!

The fish tacos were terrible. Literally a frozen fish stick, which must be pretty embarrassing for this place because they charged $30 for that meal and claim to be a fish place. The fish stick in my taco makes an audible sound when knocked against the table. It was surprising because the fish and chips were decent and freshly made. The lobster Mac and cheese was good.

Andrea was the best waitress ever!! So attentive and personal . Food was good though kitchen a bit slow but was really crowded. The pineapple mules made up for it !

Randy brought me the most amazing lobster roll ever! It’s packed with juicy meat! And for once I didn’t need more butter. I’m a lobster roll snob and this one knocked it out of the park. Thank you Randy!

Very relaxed atmosphere. Quick service. Lobster roll was incredible- worth the money. Truffle Risotto Balls were very truffle-y, and the mashed potatoes that they were served on were cold. Prosciutto and Arugula pizza would have been better if it had shaved Parmesan on top to finish it off and a little crispier. Drinks were delicious- Aviation and Espresso Martini. Would recommend if you’re in town for a date night. I’d say it’s expensive, but what isn’t expensive these days. I would come back.

The good: The atmosphere is nice, servers were friendly and attentive, and those at the table who ordered seafood were reasonably happy with their meals. The bad: I hate to leave a poor review, but the non-seafood options were just awful. The pizza was a cracker (honest to god a 0/10 pizza), the salad was wildly overdressed, and the cheese dip that came with the cauliflower was borderline inedible. I’m sure the seafood is a safe bet, but if anyone in your party is looking for non-seafood options I can’t recommend this place.

Rockfish was one of the few spots open in Edgartown over the Easter holidays, and I’m glad we gave it a try. The space itself isn’t fancy — it feels more like a pub than a restaurant — but the upstairs seating has a nice view of the street and a charming house right across from the window. We had a table by the window, which made for a cozy setting. Our server, Sarah, was super friendly and welcoming from the start. I had what was probably the best lobster roll of my life. Generous chunks of lobster, deliciously seasoned lobster salad, and a big portion of fries on the side — it really stood out from other Lobster Rolls I’d tried on this trip. Rockfish may not be a design destination, but if you’re after great seafood and a laid-back atmosphere, this place delivers. Come for the lobster roll, not the decor — and you won’t be disappointed.

We are visiting from our ship tendered near Martha’s Vineyard. We took the “free bus” from Oaks Bluff. The restaurant was highly recommended. The server was wonderful. Her name is Sarah. She gave us helpful tips. The lobster roll was excellent. We shared it. The soup (clam chowder) was perfect on a cloudy, cold day.

Cool little place in Edgartown. Almost have to look for it very low key entrance. The food was incredible. Warm lobster roll incredible, tons of meat and the perfect bread. My husband had the Guinness Short Rib. It was seriously delicious. Maybe get the crunchy onions on the side - he thought heavy handed with those but did not change our 5 star rating. Another real star was the French fries. Perfect cut and texture - don’t miss them. Great bar with fun cocktails. Almost didn’t stop here for one of the water front noisier places - so glad we did! Almost forgot prices ver reasonable especially for the drinks!

Several people recommended Rockfish to us and it did not disappoint! Great service, centrally located, and relaxed vibe. We ordered the fish & chips and Margarita pizza. Everything was well-prepared and delicious! Minor Con: Only one bathroom so a wait line forms.

Wonderful beach to take the kids to, very calm surf and a dedicated lifeguard area. Beach is carry in carry out, please take your trash with you and help keep the beaches clean!

Easy to get to. Parking nearby unless it's packed, then you'll have to drive, it's accessible by bike and bus Vineyard Transit Authority or if you want easier access take a taxi. No dog's are permitted on the beach, restrooms are the Oak Bluffs Steamship, no restrooms on the beach.

Nice long beach, free parking on the street with access points. Can be busy during peak periods. Water is generally calm and clear. No toilets and only a small section has a lifeguard. Filmed in Jaws.

This is a nice low key beach. No waves, parking along the road with a very short walk from the road to the beach. Nice to go and relax... Or jump from the Jaws bridge if you want a little adventure!

Very narrow beach at high tide. Came across only two people who were avid fishermen. Too cold and windy to stay and enjoy. Nice long walking/ biking path that runs along the beach right across the road.

One of the most beautiful beach in MV. Crystal clear water, white sands....lots of seashells...during the morning is never crowded (except Sundays) and it happens to be alone at the beach. Really beautiful.

The depth of the beach in some areas is shallow and has somewhat limited parking, but the views and clear water makes the beach a really nice stop for most days. Even a night time visit is a great idea.

Took the Katama Beach Bike Route to Norton Point Landing. Beautiful ride. We did early in the morning (6:30am) on a Tuesday. No traffic. Well-maintained bike path. Took us about 1 hour loop from the Harbor View Hotel to Katama Beach. We did stop often to take photos. Path is used by bicyclists, walkers, joggers, and rollerbladers. There is a significant amount of people on it later in the morning.

Long stretch of beach with 4wd access. Water is calm and people are spread out nicely. They also have facilities to let you deflate and inflate tires.

Awesome beach. Wide soft sand with a great place to look for shells and rocks. On certain days there can be stronger rip currents. Many days it is not. I would check reports before going out if you are not a strong swimmer.

Ginormous waves excellent way to have fun and maybe kayak if the waves are small enough! Even if the ways are big you can definitely fish maybe catch a shark!

Great beach. Nice soft sand. Parking is easy enough if you’re patient. One thing to note - hide tide. You would be one or two people wide due to how high the tide comes up but also due to the drop off to the water. Fantastic spot for an afternoon.

Visited Fish MV in Vineyard Haven and left deeply disappointed by the food quality relative to the high prices. We ordered: • Maryland Crab Cakes ($26): These were the highlight of the meal — decently flavored and well-textured. However, they came with a limp, wilted side salad that looked like it had been sitting out too long. At this price point, you’d expect a fresher, more thoughtfully plated dish. • Fish & Chips ($28): The fish was overcooked and borderline burnt, with a batter that lacked seasoning. The interior was bland. It was served not with fries (as one might reasonably expect from a dish called “fish & chips”) but with a handful of tortilla chips, which felt like a cost-cutting substitution. The only redeeming element was the tartar sauce. • Tequila Lime Shrimp Tacos ($30): This dish was the most disappointing. The shrimp tasted pre-cooked and reheated, lacking any brightness or freshness. The tacos were heavily dressed with a creamy sauce that masked rather than elevated the flavor. The accompanying rice was over-salted and had dried-out bits that suggested it had been sitting in a pan for too long. The black beans were acceptable, but the side as a whole felt like an afterthought. All dishes looked more appealing in presentation than they tasted — the photos flatter them. Unfortunately, the flavor and freshness didn’t match. Waiting about 15 minutes between the starter and entrées wasn’t unreasonable, but combined with the underwhelming food, it added to the sense of disorganization. Ambience: Pleasant. The outdoor seating is cozy and inviting. Service: Adequate, neither warm nor inattentive. Bottom line: We paid $105 for a meal that, based on quality, should’ve cost closer to $30–$40. The ingredients felt generic, and the execution was careless. If you’re dining out in Martha’s Vineyard and are expecting seafood that justifies the price, this isn’t it.

The new interior looks amazing, and I absolutely love that there's now a bar inside—perfect for those cooler days or when the weather isn't cooperating. Service has also seen a big upgrade. The waitstaff is fantastic—friendly, attentive, and quick to keep the drinks, chips, and guac flowing. It’s little touches like that that make the experience feel effortless and relaxed. Whether you're in for a full meal or just drinks and small plates, Fish delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend checking it out—you’ll be glad you did.

A week ago, I had the pleasure of dining here and forgot to leave a review. The food was absolutely delicious! We had the tuna steak and shrimp tacos, both of which were unique and incredibly flavorful. The presentation was also amazing, with so many vibrant colors on the plate. I'm already looking forward to my next visit next year—this spot is definitely on my list!

Fish MV has a diverse selection of seafood with a twist! The food is delicious and there is something for everyone, amazing cocktails and a romantic ambiance with a laid back flair! Comfortable candle lit outdoor seating overlooking Tisbury Harbor located on the posh Main Street, Vineyard Haven! I highly recommend!! While you are visiting the island. You have to try Fish MV… it is a whole experience! Top of the line service, food, and atmosphere.

The patio space is nice… But the service was poor. You go up and order everything at once, rather than be waited on, which is already inconvenient when thinking about what you want to eat/drink for a meal, plus a full 18-22% tip is still suggested. I also found a very obvious hair in my clam chowder, to which the bus girl said, “oh ok” and just walked away, rather than suggesting a replacement or alternative. The chowder wasn’t even good. The crab cakes were fine.

The food was amazing! We had the fish tacos and yucca fries, both perfectly crispy, fresh, and full of flavor — even the garlic aioli was delicious. The hostess was so kind and attentive, making sure everyone, including my little one, was happy. My only gripe was the margarita; it came in a small sized cocktail glass, lacked flavor, and didn’t feel worth the price for what I got. Still, the food and service were excellent, and I’d definitely come back!

This place was amazing!!!! This was our first time eating here and everything from the food, drinks , and overall experience was great from start to finish! We started off with spicy margs which were awesome. Next we had the Yucca fries and Tuna tostada which were both amazing ! The wings were recommended next which were unbelievably crispy and juicy and had great flavor. We then had shrimp tacos and carne asada and once again both great. The owner happened to be there and he was nice enough to send us a dish using some fresh caught tuna from one of the local fishermen! He also made a great mezcal drink with blood orange that went with the tuna dish ! If you haven’t been here yet make sure you make this a must visit while in Oak Bluffs ! We will definitely be back! Thanks for the great experience!

Wow! Fresh, tasty, delicious food & best tacos in all of Marthas Vineyard! The atmosphere was so comfortable and friendly, Music was upbeat and easy listening, and the drinks were on point! Loved the Margaritas especially. Our server Eleever was informative, attentive, and went the extra mile to make sure we had a beautiful evening which we did. Totally unexpected find. This would be a weekly hang out for us if we lived here.

This place was awesome the bartender Macarena was EXCELLENT, she made the most perfect drinks. Best birthday ever! and plus there was this super handsome guy that kept catching my eye, I think his name was Brett? I will DEFINITELY be back to visit him!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Found this place by chance as it was right next to our hotel and I’m glad we did! The spicy cucumber margarita was delicious and the food was unreal. Highly recommend the mahi mahi tacos! Our server Brett was great and super friendly, as was everyone on the staff. We loved this place so much we visited every night of our vacation. Will definitely be back!!

Great views and fun waves for authentic ocean feel. Parking is pricey and requires a short walk to the beach. Water is a touch colder than other areas on the island.

Iconic clay cliffs overlook the beach and water on the southwest corner of Martha's Vineyard. You may recognize the landscape from the movie Jaws. It is stunningly beautiful. Stop by the lighthouse for a look down on the beach from above before heading down the trail to the beach and hike along the coast to see the intricacies of the cliffs. Just be warned: the ticks are everywhere.

While the overlook near Gay Head Lighthouse offers the best view of the sunset at Aquinnah (and, in turn, Martha’s Vineyard), the beach offers the best views of the beautiful cliffs that Aquinnah is known for. Not as much of a relax on the sand/go for a swim type of beach (although you certainly could do those things on a nice day), but an excellent place to walk along the shore and admire the beautiful nature around you.

Great beach! Nice sand and gorgeous rocks! So much fun to look at as you walk the beach! Cliffs are incredible striped colors! Clean bathrooms and port-a-potties available when bathroom closes. Relatively easy access. Nice trail to beach. Watch out for poison ivy along the edges of the trail to beach though. Worth visiting!

3.5 stars. You people dish out 5 stars like they’re candy on Halloween. The top is reserved for truly spectacular beaches. This is an average beach. Pros: Its quiet Light house is beautiful Cliffs are kinda cool The drive up the island is nice Cons: $30+ for parking Long walk down to the beach if you have kids (there is a drop off area which makes things a little easier) Lots of seaweed on the beach Lots of rocks Semi rough sand (not soft like others we’ve been to) Water isn’t clear like other beaches on the island

The beach is beautiful and has a nice cliff. When I walk in,I get a nude beach, but I got surprised when I came out without any sign. So the worst thing is that I can not take pictures on a nice cliff.

I’m so glad I read the reviews first so I could wear the appropriate footwear (my Keens). Knowing it was at least a .5 mile walk on sand and rock was so helpful. On. I loved the walk to the beach- but if I wore flip flops it would be a different story. Beautiful beach, sat and read my book for over 3 hours. I enjoyed a constant gentle breeze the whole time. I’ll come back, for sure!

One of a kind local fare, a simple but ever-changing menu with reliable favorites and delectable wines. The atmosphere at Seaweeds is just right. We love this place and come back week after week!

Wonderful meal. The chef is obviously very good at using seasonal ingredients. New place. Try it.

We went to Seaweed’s for the most amazing homemade creamy hummus topped with herbs and olive oil served with homemade crispy yet fluffy melt in your mouth focaccia - the best I have EVER had. It was served (so artfully) with sweet and delicious organic baby vegetables - you must not miss eating there (best music ever too, we Shazamed every song to download). - Their house red wine, was served cool and was so good I bought a bottle of to bring home. Don't miss this gem, the food is killer delicious and just as beautiful to look at. All of the staff are welcoming and the service is great. We are here for a week and will make at least one trip back for more.

Adorable and funky place only steps from the main drag in Oak Bluffs, and home to what I believe to be the best lobster roll in the island! Refreshing, satisfying, and perfectly dressed - it was the ideal ending to a trip with my wife. The service was friendly, warm and attentive, our sever was a delight. Will be back whenever we’re back on MV, not just for the lobster rolls and stellar service but the charming tote merch!

Go here and support this new business! The staff are super sweet. The food is delish. Beet salad is off the charts. Sloppy joe was a fun Monday night meal. Our server was the best with Wine options and tastings. Olivia the owner / chef delivered our food and was an absolute delight. Stumbled upon this place for happy hour and left a cheerleader of this small restaurant run by kind and lovely people. Small but mighty in COVID times. Go ladies, go!

Delicious, cozy spot with an incredible selection of natty wines (one of the only spots on the island where you can find natural and organic wines!). The menu changes daily and everything from the fish and meats to veggies and fruit are local. A new favorite!

Outstanding meal and adorable place! Whole fish and porchetta entrees were excellent and prepared with a lot of care. Service could have been a bit smoother, but we understanding everyone is doing their best in a pandemic.

One of my favorite stops in MV. Beautiful protected salt water 'lake' that is absolutely perfect for dropping anchor, going for a swim, staying the night. Quick walk into town for shopping or a bite to eat. A definite must stop for boaters.

Best place to watch the sunset. The beach is great too.
