Brenna is the best bartender! Always checking in on us! Would 100% recommend! She was caring and always made sure we were taken care of! Positive attitude and always willing to listen and always has a smile! Makes the experience the best in town!

Always a good place to eat and today they have 0.99 wings. Barbecue, garlic Parmesan, buffalo and dry rub. Always love this place. Definitely a classic in Lincoln. Bar food. Phenomenal
David — Google review
This bar brings you back to your college days. We were there on a night where they had $2 tall boy beers. When do you ever see that these days? The only downside was the group of drunk guys from Iowa and Missouri who wanted to blab on and on about whatever drunk guys from Iowa and Missouri talk about. Ha!
Todd L — Google review
Came here for lunch. Wasn't very busy so the service was good, Food was good and the drinks were good. It was my first time here so not a bad first impression. Was a little dirty. Kind of seamed like they had a big party the night before or something. The stairs looked like they haven't been mopped since the day they first opened but hey, im here for the drinks.
RuD D — Google review
Disappointing that a bar’s security can make you feel unsafe. Aggressive and hostile staff, questioning and harassing +30 year olds upon entry. Came with a large group to the empty bar and left before even walking in due to the rude and time consuming entry process. Clearly a management issue with lack of respect and training. Cheap college bar at best and if I’m a UNL student, there are much better options. Safe to say we will not even attempt to come back here in the future.
Kyle W — Google review
Security sucks. They will kick you out randomly with no explanation. They came up randomly and said come with me so I did, then as soon as I stepped outside they locked the door on me and walked away no explanation. I guess you’re better off arguing and being non compliant to stay inside than to be respectful and do what they ask. Didn’t do anything wrong was just inebriated and I guess they don’t like you spending $$$ there because they’ll kick you out for no reason. Got kicked out on my birthday too when some guy randomly shoved me and I didn’t retaliate. If you don’t want people to drink there then close the place down because I thought it was a bar, not a place for a power trip from a bunch of wannabe security guards.
Eeasy D — Google review
Would not let me and my friends in because we were wearing overalls for game day but the ladies in front of us could wear spaghetti strap body suits and that is considered okay. Men can not have shoulders showing but women can. Make it make sense? Do better about your policy. If it’s a policy that’s fine but it needs to apply to all not just gay men who show their shoulders.
Mitchell G — Google review
Nah.... I have no desire to go somewhere that requires a wand and a pat down. How embarrassing for this establishment. Guess the 20-30 crowd keeps this place afloat. Have fun amongst yourselves. Walked two minutes down the road and am now drinking a cold refreshing beverage at a competing bar whining about this bar's policies!!! Probably not worth my words, but I feel better now. :)

Bar
Nestled in the vibrant downtown of Lincoln, Nebraska, Zoo Bar has been a beloved fixture since 1973, captivating locals and visitors alike with its lively blues and jazz performances almost every night. This charming tavern boasts a cozy ambiance characterized by warm wooden interiors and soft lighting that sets the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening. With a spacious stage that hosts an array of talented musicians—from local gems to regional favorites—Zoo Bar is truly a haven for music lovers.
This place is iconic. Has the best music in Nebraska. Just went again and my experience was our drinks were cleared when they were halfway full and when I told the bartender about it he told me I was lying. It's not as though I wanted free drinks. I told him I would pay for new ones. He finally relented and bought us two new ones. Pretty disappointing.
Bob N — Google review
Gigged here, from Oklahoma, on our way to Iowa for a festival. Awesome venue. Full band setup and it was great. Sound staff were wonderful. Beer was cold and refreshing. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great location too.
Charli K — Google review
This bar is such an eclectic bar of blues memorabilia. It’s a great place to have a drink, catch up with others or listen to music when there’s a band playing. Because we were there during ZooFest there were no inside bands so we took advantage for photo ops.
Karen E — Google review
The Zoo Bar is a national historic treasure! Enjoy live blues, jazz, rock and genre-defying live music. Friendly staff and full bar options for all types of drinks, including non-alcoholic options. A night at The Zoo is a special occasion any day of the week!
Molly N — Google review
The BEST place to see a show in Lincoln. I LOVE the Zoo Bar! Friendly people, friendly staff, great prices on shows and drinks. Daily drink specials. Parking in the garage across the street is easy, and the first hour is free!
Laura F — Google review
Great place to go listen to live music. They keep the music loud so you can feel it. If you're sensitive to loud noise make sure to bring some earplugs cuz they play the music really loud. Overall a pleasant experience watching ANSON FUNDERBURGH, MIKE MORGAN, & SHAWN PITTMAN past the Blues.
Andrew J — Google review
This Nebraska icon remains the definition of cool downtown places, to hang and enjoy your favorite beverage and live music. Too many artists have graced this easygoing place to list in this review. National, regional, and local Musicians are featured here. Google Has identified the Zoo bar, as a local business Google Local Guides will be supporting until the 27th of September, so G Local Guides check your contributions page for local business’s to support in your realm. 🖖🫡🙏💥

Great little venue, stopped in on a Saturday and they had a comedy act and it was excellent. The only negative, the AC blows so cold you almost need to wear a heavy jacket if in the jet stream of cold air

The Other Room is a renowned cocktail bar located in Lincoln, Nebraska, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Since its opening in 2010, it has gained recognition for its impressive selection of cocktails that patrons rave about. The bar's outdoor courtyard adds to its charm and provides a pleasant setting for enjoying drinks. With a knowledgeable and friendly staff, The Other Room stands out as an upscale yet intimate speakeasy in downtown Lincoln.
Coming from someone that loves speakeasy’s and amazing libations this is a must visit. We showed up as a group of 5 on Friday night and while the place isn’t very big they were able to get us in right away. From the moment you walk up to the door to the moment we walked in the atmosphere was unmatched. We all got different drinks and every single one was excellent. Even the bartender walked around asking everyone if they were enjoying their drinks or needed anything. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Lincoln!
Sam — Google review
Crow is an amazing bartender! He made me some of the best drinks I’ve ever had, including a creative off-menu cocktail he came up with on the spot. His energy behind the bar is top-notch, and he really makes the whole experience fun. As we were leaving, I mentioned a creepy guy that had been bothering me and Crow was immediately ready to step in and handle it. Felt totally looked after. 10/10, no notes — highly recommend grabbing a drink with him behind the bar!
Trish — Google review
We went here for a drink before dinner. We arrived right at 5:00 so no wait. Super cool, chill vibe. It's very small, but that's part of the fun. It looks like an old library inside. They ask you to speak in "inside voices" and keep phones on silent and it's so nice to be able to talk and have a drink in a place that's not really loud. Unique strong drinks, and the service is great. Highly recommend you give it a try!
Amy — Google review
We found our way to The Other Room before a concert, and we're so glad we did. The ambiance was delightfully subdued and elegant, the drinks were absolutely fabulous, and the bartender was a master at his craft. We will definitely be going back.
Angie S — Google review
This speakeasy bar is so amazing. If you are looking for a vibe this is the place to go. Crow is so cool and has the most wonderful demeanor. Dude is so warm and chill and he provides the most comfortable environment. The decor is stellar and I honestly haven't had better drinks anywhere else. Make sure to give him elements of drinks you like and have him make you something off menu. You will not be disappointed. Will definitely be back when traveling through Nebraska and this is a must go to spot.
Shereen J — Google review
Can’t accurately rate this place because the door man was on such a gross power trip we didn’t even make it through the door. We arrived with the light green and no line ahead of us, were told there was only space for two of our six person party. We very politely asked if there was flexibility for three people and the doorman immediately said “you’ve disrespected my boundaries and now none of you are allowed to come in at all.” He turned the light to red and we walked away only to watch him return the light back to green. We were beyond shocked - it was nowhere near closing time. Wish we could have experienced this place.
Anne T — Google review
We love The Other Room. We live five hours away and still make it a priority to stop by The Other Room any time we are in Lincoln (2-3 times per year). The drink menus are always very thoughtfully designed and the drink profiles are creative and sophisticated. The staff are continuously cool and we’ve often met great people while hanging out there. Highly recommend.

Great place for date night. We came in to grab one of their delicious cocktails, ended up having a few. They offer non-alcoholic variants! Quick, friendly, knowledgeable service (no food, but I didn’t want to give them anything other that 5 stars)

Loved it. We went here for the last two world cup games and had a blast! Will be back for sure!

Last weekend we were invited out to Captain Jacks Bar for a friend's birthday. I'd never been before and was unaware we were walking into a Holiday themed pop-up 😆🙃🤯. It was A Lot, rather impressive with the massive amounts of decorations. 2 page menu of appropriately named drinks. My husband was excited to order a Hot Chocolate Flight but I guess we got there too late and they were out 😢. Instead he had a gin drink Gingle All The Way. I had the tequila based Merrygarita. Drinks were yummy, place was super fun. I didn't get the bartender's name but she was doing great holding the place down solo. Worth a stop sometime this month! 🎅❄️🎄🎁🧑‍🎄

If you are going to have college bartenders, you need to remember that not all your patrons are college age. He only was nice to us when we were ordering drinks, and he was receiving our tips. Once it was time for us to request music, he did whatever he wanted to make his friends at the bar happy

This place is great to go to meet a different person every time. I met the Blue Angels pilots , one night. I have met people from Arizona, Florida, Wisconsin and other states and countries. In this bar. The staff is friendly and enjoy making visitors welcome. There is no food service!

Cocktail bar
Barrymore's is a renowned bar located in the suburbs of Lincoln, Nebraska, which was established in 1974 within the former backstage area of a theater. The bar offers a laid-back and intimate atmosphere, specializing in classic cocktails and martinis. Its unique setting within an old historic theater adds to its allure, with visitors still able to see remnants of its theatrical past such as the light board and pulleys.
Love this hidden bar - perfect atmosphere (muted lighting, quiet) and well executed beverages. A must stop when in Lincoln.

The drinks are good but inconsistent. On a week day, I am absolutely here for the atmosphere. But save yourself $9 and don’t get the espresso martini. The weekend bartenders loose their touch when it gets busy.
A A — Google review
By far the best place to grab a drink and all of Lincoln! Friendly staff, cozy space, great menu, delicious drinks, and decent prices! We love to grab a martini (or three) there before heading to a movie at The Grand
Dylan — Google review
Barrymores, a clandestine haven tucked away in the labyrinthine depths of an old historic theater, beckons those who dare to venture beyond the mundane façade of everyday life. Within the enigmatic ambiance of its backstage area, where stage ropes dance in the dimly lit shadows and lighting consoles whisper forgotten tales, I found a curious blend of nihilistic contemplation and ephemeral delight. The bartender, a conductor orchestrating the symphony of spirits amidst the cosmic chaos, skillfully navigated the treacherous currents of existence. Their attentive presence, like a solitary candle flickering in the abyss, cast a faint glow upon the existential void. With each cocktail meticulously crafted, they defied the futility of our existence and imbued a fleeting purpose into every sip. For within the enigmatic embrace of Barrymores, where the stage ropes whisper forgotten sagas and the lighting console paints the tapestry of existence, one may catch a fleeting glimpse of meaning in this grand cosmic theater. May your voyage through this cosmic drama be filled with existential reflection and the bittersweet ecstasy of perfectly crafted libations.

If you're on the hunt for a laid-back yet vibrant venue, look no further than Starlite Lounge & Banquet Room in Lincoln. This charming spot is perfect for a memorable night out or hosting special events like birthdays and weddings. With its modern decor and spacious bar area, it invites you to unwind while enjoying an array of drinks, particularly their expertly crafted cocktails.
A charming little bar/lounge below Buzzard Billy's, right across from the arcade bar. A good place to start an evening off. Super cozy environment that has a 50's/60's vibe with real friendly staff. Their mules were really good! Even the bouncer was nice and funny. Can recommend. Just make sure you get there before 9! Crowd really starts to pile in and they only let so many people in at once.
Mike — Google review
I'm gonna be a bit bias about my review due to the fact that I'm a Sinatra/Rat Pack fan. This place gives off that kind of vibe. In fact they have a few posters of Sinatra in this joint. Think "Catch me if u can" movie. That 50's feel martini bar. I would say it needs to be more dimly lit. Good drinks and plenty of seating. I visited this place twice in one day. 5-6pm crowd was small but not empty. 10-11pm the place was crowded, hot and uncomfortable. I'd go again but during early hours to avoid the crazy crowd.
Tony A — Google review
The music was terrible- needed Christmas music. Ashton was amazing but couldn’t control the music. New carpet was nice and noticeable.

Super cool place. Cool atmosphere, good service and delicious drinks. I got a lemon drop martini and a key lime pie martini and highly recommend both. I'll come back and recommend anyone to try it.

Like taking a time machine to 1959. The atmosphere and decor is outstanding Massive cocktail and martini menu which averaged only $7 each. Drinks tasted great and were strong. Unlike some surrounding cocktail bars they accept credit cards too.

The Starlight is an awesome spot. I have wanted to go for years and was it worth it! The atmosphere is great there, and the staff are super helpful and friendly. The bar itself was super clean, and I was really impressed with all the awesome seating they had, which was maintained super well. I ordered the raspberry cosmo, which was great! It has gained recognition as one of the top bars in the area, offering an extensive beer list featuring craft beers from around the world. Very chill place. Staff is very friendly and all the food was amazing. We came here for a work event and all the apps we tried were so good! I almost didn’t have room for my main course lol. The only down side was it took a while for our waitress to return. So expect to be here about an hour. We waited for boxes but decided to leave because they were taking a long time. But still I would return when I’m not in a rush to get back to work.

Date Night a few weeks ago. I was feelin' the fancy Grilled Cheese Sandwich from HopCat. It had been a long time but we parked in the nearby garage and walked over. No wait for a table. Started with a favorite the Elote Queso App. Had I not asked for extra Cilantro I'm pretty sure there would have been zero toppings. It was missing the usual garnishes including cotija cheese and limes. Not sure why. I asked for limes cuz it was completely missing that flavor. I got what I came for, the Madtown Grilled Cheese. Garlic aioli, honey, apples, I sub cheddar for the smoky gouda. It's super yummy. I fell in love with the battered Onion Rings last time, unfortunately they changed to a hard, breaded, super crunchy variety. I was even hooked up with extra. Took most of them home. My sandwich also comes with Tomato Basil Soup. I don't do soup but I happily handed it over, he loves it. My husband tried the new Dirty Martini Burger! 2 Patties, olives, Bleu cheese, red onion, gouda, on a pretzel bun. Totally in his wheelhouse. He liked it and demolished it but it takes a lot to super impress him with a burger. Signature beer battered fries with cheese sauce always a winner! Our server Ernie was so friendly and accommodating. He did a great job!
Kirsten A — Google review
I stopped by here to eat before a Nebraska game. We arrived around 10:00, it was a 2:30 game, and the restaurant was packed by 11:15. I found a nice Imperial Stout that I liked. There were a lot of other varieties of beer, so if you are somewhat of a beer snob this is a good place to start. The App Sampler was generous and the Cowboy Burger had a lot of flavor which I really recommend. The fries that came with the burger were also incredibly well seasoned.
Mad B — Google review
The food was good, in my opinion. My ball and chain however, insisted his was too salty (Steak and Cheese with fries & their signature cheese sauce). I had the Pickelback chicken sandwich (👍), that he said was "dry" 🙄... Lmao.. It wasn't. We also ordered the Elote Queso dip (👎) yeah, so the one I make at home is better, this one is generic and not well-thought-through before sending it out to the public. We sat at the bar, took about 5 minutes to get noticed, they weren't busy, the bartender was clearly performing more than one duty in his defense though. It seemed they didn't have any wait staff so he was actually doing well for both jobs being expected of him. Atmosphere: cute, trendy and relaxing. 👍
Mya R — Google review
Great experience. We showed up on a busy night but they got us in & we had a great meal before our concert. The decor is fun & the atmosphere is inviting. There is a lot of booth & table seating as well as at the bar. This is a busy area so reservations might be best. Plenty of good food options. We are not from the area but this would be a place we would invite friends to.
Julie N — Google review
We were in town for a concert down the street at the arena. We expected HopCat would be fine, but it FAR exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was fun, the meowgarita was great, and there is an impressive beer list, but the food was the star of the show. We ordered the cheese curds during happy hour and I will think about them every day until the next time I can get them. Both burgers we ordered were excellent, and I cannot recommend the truffle parm fries enough. Super solid experience from start to finish, can't wait to go back!
Hayley B — Google review
Amazing bar with cool decor- look UP! The ceiling is famous album covers! I had a pickle grilled chicken sandwich. Yum! Great beer, too, but I forget the name. My server was a doll. This was a great lunch spot and I'd love to return for happy hour next time im in Lincoln.
Jessica — Google review
I went here for trivia night with some coworkers. The trivia was fun! But the things that mattered, like food and service, were lacking. I dont recommend their espresso martini-like drink - the drink had literal coffee grounds as a garnish. I also ordered the bruschetta - it came out soggy and overwhelmed with ricotta. It was borderline inedible. As for the service, our waiter was friendly but absent a good portion of time (e.g., we were there for 2 hours and the table was full of dishes and empty drinks the entire time). However, I have been here before and have tried decent dishes like their wings (but they got rid of the only good sauce - gochujang) and banging shrimp. Regardless, 90% of the times I've tried this place (~4-5 times over many years) it has been lacking in both food and service. The atmosphere feels like the only thing worth coming here for. But that alone cannot carry a decent restaurant. 2 stars.

Wow what a great fun place. Staff was freeking great and the food was wonderful. Great selection of beers and wish I was having another one. I think this is a hidden gem downtown and when I come back I’m going to find it again. Thank you. Had a blast.

Delicious Irish stew and great service. Loved how the bar is decorated with one dollar bills that patrons can leave as a memento.

Yesterday afternoon, we were celebrating our daughter’s 21st birthday with 14 family members and friends. Unfortunately, our experience at McKinney’s was far from pleasant. Upon entering, the bartender was extremely rude. We asked if there were any shot specials to help us celebrate, and she curtly responded, “We don’t do anything for this type of party.” We weren’t requesting anything exclusive, just looking for a suggestion for a shot to enjoy while celebrating at your pub. Later, Lauryn, the birthday girl, asked if she could put her $1 on the wall, a common tradition at your bar. Again, the bartender acted as though we were an inconvenience, making it clear she wasn’t happy to have us there at all. We shared this experience with "Group Therapy" bike company, and we strongly recommended they skip McKinney’s on future outings. We’re very disappointed by how we were treated and expected much better customer service.

Was in the area and wanted to try a new restaurant while catching up with my best friend. As we walked by we saw the menu and thought it looked really good. We did outdoor dining as it was pretty warm outside that day and they had the heated lantern going. Waitress was nice. I cannot remember he name but she had medium length brunette hair. We had spinach dip as a appetizer and it was great for our meals we had a mac and cheese and a sandwich (forgot what kind she ordered) and then drinks were disaronno ginger ale and a flavored moscow mule. Everything tasted great! I would recommend do anyone in the area.

Disappointing First Visit – Wouldn’t Recommend We came to Lincoln to move our daughter into UNL and decided to try this restaurant since it was close to our hotel. Unfortunately, what looked promising turned into a frustrating experience. We stood at the entrance for several minutes before being acknowledged. Once seated, our waitress took our drink order—two teas and a Coke—but never mentioned that refills would be charged. We ordered three burgers and an appetizer, then waited over 45 minutes for the food to arrive. During that time, we received drink refills without any warning of extra charges. I also witnessed a staff member behind the bar inspecting a burger and touching it with bare hands before it was served. When the food finally came, one burger was missing mushrooms, another had BBQ sauce on it despite our request for it on the side, and the appetizer arrived late. The waitress did apologize and offered either a dessert or 10% off, which we appreciated. But when the bill came, we were surprised to see charges for every drink refill. We were told this was standard procedure—even though we saw the waitress prepare some of them herself. As first-time guests, we felt misled and taken advantage of. If refills aren’t complimentary, that should be made clear upfront. Disappointing all around. Won't be able to recommend.

I’ve never been to a bar alone as a female and since moving the haymarket it was the first bar I went to and the dalton the bartender made sure I felt safe and comfortable and ever since then I got to know the entire staff. I let the owner Nate know how much I appreciated all of them including their manager Libby for always taking good care of us. It’s a kid friendly atmosphere during the day as my daughter loves Olivia’s Shirley temples xtra cherries!

The wings are gross. They are baked and not crispy. Nothing worse than mushy wings. The nacho/pork/french fry/cheese/bbq thing was terrible. The fries aren’t crispy, cheese is worse than gas stations, and bbq flavor was meh. I’d avoid this place for food. Service was good.

Love McKinney’s! Honestly the best value for food and drinks in Lincoln. I think they actually lowered their prices and the food and drinks are still great. Always a place I visit on a night out or to catch a game.

Nestled in the heart of Downtown Lincoln, Kate Martin is a cocktail bar that pays homage to its namesake, Catherine Kate Curran Martin, who once ran the St. Charles Hotel back in 1889. This establishment has transformed from a scandal-ridden lodging spot into a vibrant hub for cocktail enthusiasts.
Fantastic Cocktails and Exceptional Service at Kate Martin! I visit Kate Martin a couple times a year, and every time, the cocktails are absolutely top-notch. The bar has an inviting atmosphere and comfortable vibe. The bartenders are true artisans—they crafted each cocktail with such precision and care. Every drink had the perfect balance of flavors. I highly recommend Kate Martin to anyone looking for expertly crafted cocktails in a cozy, welcoming setting. I can't wait to return and try more from their impressive menu!

Recently I came here after hearing from some friends of mine that this hole in the wall was a place to check out if you were interested in craft cocktails and Nebraska history. I’m happy to report that this bar delivered what I was promised. I ordered the red cloud (a drink inspired by Chief Red Cloud) and was pleasantly surprised that the presentation of the cocktail was curated just as carefully as the cocktail itself. For me personally, the smokey cherry flavor of the drink didn’t agree with me as pleasantly as I’d hoped. But I’m sure others would find this selection delicious- that was just a personal preference. The staff was very friendly, I didn’t manage to catch any of the bartenders names because it was slightly busier on a Friday night. I’m sure on a slower night, more attention would be dedicated to each customer so that they select the perfect drink for them. The ambience of this bar I think is what really sells this place in my books. It’s a low key place found right in the heart of the haymarket- most wouldn’t even think twice about the exterior while passing its front door. NOTE: Its a cash only bar! They have an ATM, but I would recommend that you come prepared with your own cash on hand.

Fantastic cocktails, fun and attentive bartenders, and a great atmosphere! If you love gin cocktails, you definitely need to come here. Super affordable craft cocktails that were amazing. Local art on the walls for sale was a bonus and fun to look at while drinking. The architecture of the building made for a nice experience.

Super cool place, great vibe, fun drinks and super friendly staff. Devin (sp?) was awesome! He flirted with my friend and I which was great for our egos. Super fun guy! I had the Mari Sandoz and it was amazing. The combination of the lemon and rose liqueur was unexpectedly divine.

If you’re looking for an awesome craft cocktail and a cool, comfortable atmosphere then Kate Martin is the place. It’s conveniently located in the Haymarket with tons of available parking. The drink menu is spectacular to say the least. With drinks named after famous Nebraskans you get a little bit of local history to go with your tasty drink. Will definitely be going back soon!
Jeff S — Google review
My first time here and it left quite an impression! The drinks are carefully crafted, with many very original cocktails to choose from (this is a cocktail bar only). The garnishes are unlike any I've come across, including candied hibiscus(!!!) and infused cherries that Keith (part owner and mixologist extraordinare) makes himself! I had the Willa Cather and Mari Sandoz; both were excellent. Keith also makes a mean gin gimlet! Drinks aside, the atmosphere is very chill and the bar stays true to it's history. Dimly lit & cozy, backlit bar shelves with spirits arranged by color, and lovely stained glass inserts in the ceiling...this place doubles as an art form! If you haven't tried you had better get in there, because it will keep you coming back!

Big Red Restaurant & Sports Bar - Lincoln West is a hidden gem located on West O Street. It's known for being the home of Big Red Keno and serving delicious burgers, like the recent Irish burger with fried dill pickles. The exceptional service provided by the attentive and friendly staff stands out, making it a favorite spot for many visitors. Additionally, the restaurant features sand volleyball courts for post-meal activities and spacious indoor and outdoor seating areas where guests can enjoy watching various sports on TV.
We had a party in a private room, and the attendant Maizen, a very friendly and attentive woman, served us! She was very helpful, we loved her! A 10 :) The atmosphere is really cool. The margarita there is amazing, the drinks and beers are excellent!!! We ordered some starters, fried pikes, very different and good, mozzarella sticks, and potato skin ,I think! (We didn't like these) but the rest was all very good. We will definitely go back more often! - We had a party for Camila... we brought cakes and Brazilian sweets!

Go Big Red. My friends & me had a wonderful moment here. We drank beer with food & a friend told me he wanted to do the new thing. I'm so impressed because he finally stepped out of his comfort zone. This restaurant is full of nice & happy people. Polite staff & fast services too. The food is good but not the best I wish for but they are ok to match with cold beer. You will enjoy the games with a lot of TVs. I recommend this place for friends & family.

Service was fast. I love seat-yourself restaurants. Food was super good. I didn’t know what to expect before I went, but this place is an underdog for sure. It’s not exactly my vibe as far as atmosphere goes and I felt a little out of place, but I’m not really a keno person or their target demographic

Big Red Keno East is hands down one of the best spots in town! The management team (Josh and Troy) go above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly and that every guest feels welcome and valued. You can tell they truly care about creating a great experience for everyone who walks through the door. The service is always top-notch — fast, efficient, and super friendly. Whether you're grabbing a bite, playing some keno, or just relaxing with friends, the staff treats you like family. It's clear they enjoy what they do, and that energy makes the whole place feel warm and inviting. If you're looking for a great time with amazing people, Big Red Keno East is the place to be. Highly recommend!

This location has a set of sand volleyball courts for live action, post meal, energy burning! Plenty of room on the patio to watch, and a massively spaced interior where keno rules your views! There are TVs playing various sports on top of that but not in any Confusing sort of way. The place has a great feel and comfy chairs!

Took my family here for the first time. Got 3 chicken sandwiches. Two were drier than the Sahara desert, and the other so salty it was not edible. The Watering Hole West is a popular spot in Lincoln known for its delicious food, particularly the jumbo wings and Sticky Burger. The wings come in various flavors like Spicy Jalapeno, Old Bay seasoning, and Garlic Parmesan. Customers also rave about the fried pickle chips and Parmesan fries. While some have mentioned slow service and understaffing as minor drawbacks, the overall experience seems to be positive with patrons praising the hardworking staff and expressing their intention to return for the amazing food.
Hot wings were great. I suggest grilled with a side of sauce.. The service was also solid.

I wanted to try this place because everybody raves about the wings. I could not have been more disappointed. They were lukewarm at best, the tater tots were overcooked and the rest of the food was just okay. The service, however, was horrible. I am in the food industry and I have never seen such a bad server. She was rude and unfriendly from the minute we walked in the door. Bad food. Bad service. What a waste of $45!

Duffy's Tavern is a rustic establishment with exposed-brick walls and a charming back patio. It offers billiards, live music performances, and the highlight of its drink menu are giant fishbowl cocktails. The bar also prides itself on serving impressive collections of bourbon, whiskey, martinis, and Moscow Mules. Although some patrons found their fishbowl kamikaze lacking in alcohol content, they enjoyed the jazzy music ambiance and appreciated the spacious smoking area outside.
This bar is such a blast. Good stuff here! 1. Staff is dope 2. Drinks are cold AND they have fishbowls 3. Live music 4. Eclectic groups of people go here...never a dull moment!

The people that go Here seem really cool. They were really friendly. But the girl bartender was mean. Not only did she take my $20 drink (that I only had a few sips of but understandable if it it was unattended for as long as you said) But I told her I went to throw up because I didnt feel good. And asked me if I threw up in the bar I was like yeah I went to the bathroom and she told me that that wasn’t allowed and that I needed to leave. I started on asking for a water and she just kept repeating herself that I needed to leave now. I said that was cool and I got up to leave. I won’t be coming back. It’s not as if I puked on your bar floor I used the bathroom. And Still as a paying customer I had a right to have a cup of water.

The Copper Kettle Mule Bar and Eatery is a beloved gem nestled in Lincoln, Nebraska, where locals gather for a laid-back experience. This inviting bar has built a reputation over the years for its warm ambiance and friendly service, making it an ideal neighborhood hangout. With an impressive selection of over 20 craft Moscow Mules on the menu, there's no shortage of unique flavors to explore.
Absolutely a place to go in Lincoln! They have great appetizer/shareable options that were definitely a fan favorite & very reasonably priced. The number of speciality mules they have is so fun, and the decor is perfect for the space. I called ahead to see if they’d host an engagement party for a larger group (on a weeknight) & they were super accommodating. One of likely few locations that won’t charge a fee. Perfect space to gather!

This was not my first time to the Copper Kettle, but it was the first time ordering food. I cannot believe I have waited so long to try the food here. My wife had tacos and she said they were fantastic. I had the honey bourbon wings and teriyaki wings. The honey bourbon wings were delicious but the teriyaki wings were absolutely dynamite! I will 100% have to come back for them again. My wife really liked her Garden Mule. I myself am not a huge mule fan but I do enjoy bourbon. They have a pretty good selection but I had to go with some Blanton's. They had sports on the TV's, no complaints there! There is a touchtunes jukebox there so if you want to play your own music you are able. Definitely a fun place to hang out, grab some drinks and food. Stop in and check it out.

Cool atmosphere, amazing tacos (you can get them with flour tortillas too), and copper mugs for the drinks perfect for pictures. The mules aren’t too strong but taste good!

We found Copper Kettle by accident when looking for a caterer for our daughter’s wedding. From beginning to end we’ve been nothing but impressed with Mackenzi and Adam. We LOVED the food at our taste testing so much that we continue to drive from Omaha on a regular basis just for the food and drinks!! When it came to the wedding (275 people) they were prompt, friendly and most importantly—the food was phenomenal!!! It was SO worth the price, which was very reasonable!! I can’t even tell you how many people stopped me to say that this was the best wedding food they’d ever had! Bottom line—Copper Kettle went above and beyond in every way. I would recommend them for any night out or for any event…any time! It was SO good….I can’t stop thinking about it!
Lindsay P — Google review
The servers/bartenders are uncoordinated as soon as it becomes crowded. There is absolutely no coordination between staff and customers. I ordered 3 tacos and they came out wrong when I gave them specific instructions. Not to mention, when I ordered my drink it has still yet to arrive as I write this review. For context “it’s been 30 minutes since I’ve ordered my drink.” And I have talked to two waitresses AND the bartender and still nothing. Owner if you’re reading this you need to take better initiative to teach your employees to ACTUALLY handle customers when things get busy rather than acting like chickens with their heads cut off.
Nathan H — Google review
Best mules in Lincoln hands down! It’s a nice place because it’s never packed. Their fries are a great deal and their tacos are pretty tasty. Their service is meh. They can sometimes come off kinda snobby. The mules are a little pricey but we think it’s worth it for how good they are. They do have like three bad mules on the menu but if you know what to order they are amazing. My favorite mules are the: *Dragonfruit mule* The Rising Plum The Garden The Pomegranate *Spiced Pear* Mule-jito Le Mule Thai
Amanda P — Google review
Great locally owned establishment. The cocktail menu is vast, and of course, focused on the mule. I personally like the basic mules such as the Irish or Dark and Stormy, but their specialty mules are definitely delicious, and unique, with many to choose from. The focus they've placed on their food and drink menu shows their commitment to providing a great cocktail restaurant. Taco Tuesday is worth checking out, as it's not your standard cheap, basic tacos, and are very tasty. Their specialty fair is always delicious and well crafted. Highly recommend stopping in for a mule or a few at very least.

Came here for cocktails on a Friday night with a party of 4. The atmosphere and vibe was great, especially with all the Halloween decorations and fog machine. All our drinks were excellent except for my girlfriend’s dad’s old fashioned. It tasted like straight bitters and was probably the worse old fashioned I’ve ever had. We would definitely come back but I would order something different next time.

I was denied service and aggressively told to leave or the police would be called (all recorded on my phone) because I have a service animal and "no animals allowed , service animal or not the owner doesn't care" I made the bartender call the manager who said the same thing , then I had her call the owner and the owner too stood by the "service animal or not, I don't care. No animals whatsoever." Completely violated my civil rights and openly discriminated me bc I have the need for a service animal. Even reading them the federal law didn't matter they simply didn't care. If you're an American who is proud to be American and enjoy the civil rights we have , do not support the old pub in any way shape or form. What a disgrace from top to bottom. I'll never go back there , never ever again. That was embarrassing/infuriating. I hope everyone sees this. I'll be contacting the ADA in the morning with a complaint and video backing the discrimination I just experienced.

Close to downtown, but not a "downtown" bar. We were looking for a place to stop in for a late afternoon drink. We didn't want a college bar on O Street (nothing wrong with them, just not the right occasion) or anything pretentious. Just a solid spot to get an affordable drink. Enter The Old Pub. It's a no-judgment, unassuming joint serving up affordable drinks. The crowd was largely retired or soon to be retired people having a beer with their pals. The music wasn't blaring and my group could carry on our conversation easily. I had one of the better Moscow Mules I have had in some time and the bartender was a friendly gal eager to chat. The Old Pub has the feel of bars in small towns all across this state, where you are welcome and it feels like home. I'm interested to see this place on a Friday or Saturday night, but I'm sure it's still a great spot to just sit and have a beer with pals.

Visitors rave about the amazing food, particularly the prime rib which is said to be juicy and tender. The lobster bisque is highly recommended for its generous chunks of lobster in a flavorful sherry cream broth. Guests also praise the perfectly cooked steaks, surf and turf options, as well as the delicious French onion soup.
I had the lobster bisque (excellent) and the steak of the day, which was (I forget the exact name) a Rib Steak with rosemary infused butter? It was melt in your mouth tender and one of the most flavourful steaks I’ve had. Unbelievable! Such a unique and enjoyable dinner with service to match the meal. I would have to recommend this be a regular menu item so others have the opportunity to enjoy it. It was that good!

Worst prime rib I've ever had. Cold. Baked potato cold. Lobster bisque little content. I would avoid. However, I was there late. I was there at 8pm maybe that's why? I will not go back.

Let me start off by saying we love Misty’s in Havelock and highly recommend it but since they were closed on our anniversary we went to the downtown location and we will not be going there again. There were only a few customers and the service was slow. We had to ask for bread and were given what appeared to be two dinner rolls from a grocery store. We ordered baked potatoes and were told they were started late and would not be ready and switched to mashed potatoes. When the meal arrived they had somehow gotten the baked potatoes done. My wife ordered mushrooms for her Prime Rib and were told later that they did not have any mushrooms (what kind of steak house doesn’t have mushrooms…..it’s on the menu as an add on). I ordered the Prime Rib as well (it was delicious) and a side of creamy horseradish sauce. The sauce was not creamy and had the liquid consistency of milk and would barely stay on the prime rib. Most of it ended up on the table as it immediately dripped off the prime rib. We were both shocked at how bad the experience was compared to the Havelock location. My wife even asked me if they were the same owners since the downtown location was so different. As I stated at the beginning, we love Misty’s in Havelock and recommend it, but stay away from the downtown location.

Food was just ok, didn’t live up to the expectation given the price. Ribeye special was overcooked, and must have been a stick’s worth of “compound butter” slabbed on top. Lobster bisque was very disappointing given it was a house specialty. Worst part yet, it was very hot in the restaurant. Asked the server about it and was told the AC has been out for a MONTH! We were literally sweating while eating our dinner at 8pm. A place that bills itself as a top tier steakhouse should do better.

There was nothing redeeming about this restaurant. The food tasted like it was frozen and then microwaved before being served which was interesting considering it wasn't even hot. And, that was after waiting a quitre a bit of time to be acknowledged by a server. We ate the substandard dip then left to find a real restaurant.
K S — Google review
Ribeye was tough and cold. Augratin potatoes were cold. $22 for a burger that was not very good. Had better burger for a lot less money. Will not be back.

If you intend to eat here before attending an event downtown, DON'T. My wife and I have now had this same experience several times here where we intended to eat here, and because of exceedingly poor service, we either had to hurry through eating our food, or as the case was tonight, ended up cancelling the order and leaving because we waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our order. We purposely made a reservation at 5:30, before the rush, ordered promptly and then sat for 45 minutes before asking the server when our order would be ready. His response, "Well, I don't have any control over the timing." Clue #1. After about 5 minutes more he came back and asked if he'd taken our entree order. My wife and I in unison replied, "We ordered salads." He dumbfounded looked at us and said "Oh right!" repeated back our order, and then proceeded to the server kiosk and obviously ENTERED IT... 50 minutes after we gave it to him. (Clue #2) We proceeded to wait an additional 20 minutes before we said, we needed to leave and asked for the check for the appetizer we did receive (burnt). (Clue #3) Both the server AND the manager disappeared for over 5 MORE minutes when we left, leaving just enough to cover the appetizer. All we heard from both the server and the manager was "Oh we're sorry..." PATHETIC!! I suggest if you intend to eat before an event, go to Wendys, Qdoba, or Chipolte. They will at least GET you something to eat with sufficient time to actually eat it...

Single Barrel is a casual steakhouse in Lincoln, Nebraska that specializes in locally sourced meats and craft beers. The restaurant also boasts a whiskey bar with an extensive selection of bourbons, single malts, and wines. Their menu features hearty appetizers like crab cakes and roasted shrimp cocktail, followed by juicy sirloins, smoked brisket, and pan-roasted salmon.
This is loated by the Graduate Hotel. It has a casual vibe. We were gere for lunch but craving steaks! We ordered the bone-in ribeye with the four roses butter (addl $2) and side of caesar salad and Prime strip steak with bone marrow butter and side of Mac N Cheese. The steak are not picture perfect but we like how it was seasoned and very juicy. I am please with our choices. The service is great.

CUSTOMERS PAY FOR EXPERIENCE!!!!! We have had 3 experiences here so far. The first was a day just for drinks. We were so impressed by the look of the menu we came back. The second we sat at the bar, received phenomenal service, ordered 2 steaks that made this our #1 go to for a steak in Lincoln (Mahogany in Omaha overall). Today's visit a month and a half later, was distasteful and made me never want to come back and do anything other than sitting at the bar. Experience #2 sitting at the bar, the ribeye, NY strip, mac and cheese, and potatoes, were exquisite. The bartender was experienced, pleasant, and created an experience which allowed us wanting more. Today NYE, it's not busy, but our waitress, Essence, was unwelcoming, unpleasant, and displayed a complete annoyance of our presence. We had all of a 3 second introduction when she asked if we needed a minute to look a the menu or knew what we wanted. Super welcoming. Zero introduction in the slightest. Amigos even asks your first name and gives you theirs. Had I not known the food was good from a previous experience, I would've walked out. I wouldn't have known our server's name, had I not asked on her 3rd trip to the table. She was in this to get us in and out. Had this been our only experience here, I'd never come back. I'm all for tipping well, and paying good money for service and food, but based off of today, I wouldn't. Create a memorable experience for people to come back to, and you'll never have to question your business standards, surviving in a dying industry. The food is phenomenal, but when you fail to have adequate or coherent staff, what's the point?

Took awhile but we found a steak in the Haymaker District so had to go! We didn't know at the time that Single Barrel was in a hotel so perhaps had too high of expectations. Hotel restaurants can be hit or miss and the food at Single Barrel was just off target a bit. We sat in the bar and service was attentive but dare I say a bit too cocky? The first taste of that was after we sipped our Manhattan's a couple times and were asked how they tasted. We said they were wonderful and we got "Of course they are, I made them". That's the tone that was kept throughout our meal! A little off putting but attentive! The food took forever! We thought at one point they perhaps lost our order but then the microwaved chicken dip and stale chips finally came! An eternity later our steak and salmon arrived. Steak was very unevenly cooked and lukewarm, wouldn't even melt the butter! The shrimp skewer was cold, the salmon was undercooked and barely room temp and the parsnip puree was not even one bites worth! Not a spot we'll return to unless we need a good Manhattan while passing by!

Was very disappointed!! Dinner was served, unfortunately my meal was cold, the steak and the rice! Our meals were obviously served together, but they took my plate back to the kitchen while my husband continued to eat his meal! Got fresh hot rice and the same steak served that had been out back on the grill, which was what I was expecting, but it can back out dry!! NO discount on our final bill nor an apology! Very disappointing! We were planning to go back for the tomahawk, we won’t be! They’ve just lost over $200 k more from us!!

This place used to be good. On Valentine's day I wanted to try their Diver's Scallops. Those are scallops that are harvested by hand. This does affect the flavor. Their scallops though are NOT diver harvested (according to the kitchen staff I asked). The mahi mahi I got instead? Was mehi mehi. Friday we were there again. My son's steak was under cooked (rare instead of medium). His steak as well as my daughters were plated with scallops for an upcharge. Look at the size difference in the scallops....my daughter got 3 tiny micro bites. My Cajun pasta was overcooked and the noodles were bland. The sauce was flavorless. It had maybe 5 shrimp. Our waitress "Essence" was forgetful and pushy. We ordered shots before dinner....she came to us 3 times to take our order before finally bringing us our shots. It was not particularly busy yet. She seemed a bit coked out. Not worth the price. It is on par with outback.

Three people dining. Service was excellent. #1 liked the burger and fries. #2 liked the brisket grilled cheese and fries. #3 had the JoJo with a side of asparagus. Asparagus should have had the woody stems snapped off. Sandwich was tasty but too many bites of gristle. Had to eat it with a knife and fork and discard several pieces.

Some of the best steak we've ever had! If anyone I know is going to head through Lincoln, I can guarantee I'm recommending they stop here. Our sirloins were cooked exactly to temperature with a beautiful sear. And the choice of a handful of different steak butters to compliment the meal with just the cherry on top.

Longwell's is an energetic sports and craft beer bar that serves a variety of pub cuisine alongside an impressive selection of over 100 draft brews. The establishment offers a vibrant atmosphere for patrons to enjoy. It is worth noting that Longwell's staff members are welcoming and clearly display their enthusiasm for their work. If planning to visit, it is important to be aware that the bar accepts only cash as payment.
We were in Lincoln for the Old Dominion concert on 12/9, but wanted to watch the Huskers volleyball game first. Despite the reviews, the closeness to PBA and the cold winds outside made us choose the location anyway. We arrived early in hopes of getting a good seat, but right behind a group on a pedal bar, so it took a few extra minutes for drinks. We did manage to get a table in front by the HUGE TVs. Austin, the bartender, was awesome, and while we went up to the bar for our drinks, he still checked in on us throughout the time we were there. We made a few TV requests regarding the game, and he was more than happy to accommodate. As for the food - it's bar food. Nothing special but nothing wrong with it either. Overall, everyone there was great (despite the large crowd that had gathered by the time we left for the concert.) We will definitely go again next time in Lincoln!

I have never been the person to complain and write reviews. Never have I felt like I was disrespected in a place more or than in here. I was informed that I was not allowed to set my drink in the table in which I followed that rule and set my drink on a different table that was acceptable. 20 minutes later I was not going to sit on top of the the pool table that had a cover on the top. I noticed someone else who had already been sitting there for a while. I decided to sit as well was approached and told to get off. I said “ok” and pointed to the person sitting on the table and told “he’s an employee I cannot tell him anything.” To the last of my knowledge employee should be setting the example in the establishment. If Employees cannot follow instructions what is the point of instructions in the first place? Nobody should be above the rules regardless of their position. Employees or not follow the rules?!

I came to this place for Super Bowl LVIII and had a great time. They have a big screen and it's just a super fun place to watch games. The burgers were average, but the onion rings were very good. Their customer service was on point. I'm definitely coming back.

Went here on May 3rd, 2024 around 9pm with my partner. We will never be coming back due to the fact that we were grossly overcharged for two beers. The bill originally totaled $11.99 for 2 beers. My partner was later notified by his Credit Card company that Longwells had charged his card a 355% tip after we left. They charged him $55 for the 2 beers. They never gave us a receipt. We have tried calling Longwells staff and Bar Manager for two weeks straight and left messages and nobody has answered us. This is absolutely ridiculous and completely unprofessional. Buyers and bar goers beware of this fraudulent place. They will rob you.

I wish i knew how to give zero stars. Will never be returning to this establishment after witnessing the behavior of their bouncers last night. One of the bouncers gave warning that the bar was closing, and drinks need to be drank or they will be taken. All of us acknowledged his warning. Not even two seconds later he threatened one of the girls we were with that “He can rip the drink out of her hand if he wants to.” We were all very confused why he suddenly got so mad. Most of our party headed towards the door, with two people quickly finishing their drinks. He walked up to them ripped the drink from one of the girls hand and then grabbed the other persons hand with the drink in it and squeezed his hand and drink until it went all over. The bouncer then started getting in that guys face, so his friend walked over to get him to leave. Another bouncer then walks over, both bouncers grabbed each guy by the shirt and pushed them to the door. Then proceeded to push both men out of the door as hard as they possibly could, causing one of them to fly through the air and SLAM his head against the concrete, and busted his head open. There were at least 10 people that witnessed the entire situation, and who could also hear his head slam off of the concrete. I understand there is closing tome, and that the bouncers have the right to take the drinks, but the Inappropriate aggressive behavior of the bouncer last night was absolutely unacceptable. It’s disgusting that they can get away with this behavior, but if roles were turned there would have been major consequences. I am posting this in hopes that situations like this do not continue to occur. Attached is a picture of the persons head after it slammed off the concrete.

We were accosted the moment we sat down to watch a Mavs game. We were polite, but the two drunk and EXTREMELY vulgar and loud guests who were excessively drunk and continually drinking more and buying shots forcefully for people ñ, were constantly at our table. They screamed vulgarities and to keep peace, we sat through it until we could make an escape. The bartender did NOTHING and continued to serve them. It was the worst part of a visit to Lincoln.

If you're on the hunt for a cozy spot to catch the game, look no further than Sportscasters Bar & Grill. This inviting sports bar is a tribute to legendary sportscasters and features an array of TVs lining the walls, ensuring you won't miss a moment of the action. With tiered seating that allows for great views from both the dining area and bar, it's perfect for any game day gathering.
A local sports bar and grill that also has fantastic food and service (our server Emalee was on top of things!). We got the Caesar salad and crispy chicken sandwich and both were so delicious. Parking was plentiful, and the music wasn't too loud. 🏈

I recently visited Sportscasters during a particularly busy period and was generally impressed with the experience. Our server, Tiffany, was absolutely wonderful. Despite the rush, she was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Matt was also quick with our beverage service, which was much appreciated. The food prepared by Walker also seemed to come out in a timely manner, which was impressive given how busy it was. Jackie, who appeared to be the manager on duty, seemed to be running a tight shift, which kept things moving. However, I did observe some instances where communication between the bar and the serving staff seemed a little strained. Perhaps improving this flow of information could make the service even smoother. Overall, my experience at Sportscasters was positive, largely due to the excellent service from Tiffany and Matt, and the efficient work of the cook, Walker. My only suggestion would be for management to ensure clear communication channels are open between all staff and to remember that servers are working hard and doing their best, especially during busy times. I would definitely consider returning to Sportscasters.

Had a craving for some old school fried bar food. This place was close by, it always catches my eye for some reason when I drive past there, so I called in an order to go. I will definitely be back. The fried mushrooms omg. The staff were really nice and the food was really good. The atmosphere was good as well, the only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because they were so busy that the bartender had to handle things, naturally because she was doing her job, while I was waiting to pay. I didn’t want to wait tho, the food smelled and looked so good I just wanted to go home and stuff my face. Like right now.

Your typical sports bar vibe- has a couple of pool tables, one small dart board hidden in a corner, a lot of TVs and a couple of the gambling machines. This place gets pretty busy around dinner time and the weekends, but the service remains the same always. The best service and very attentive staff. A lot of the food is basic bar food, but they do also have a Veggie Burger option and a Gluten Free menu.

The Historic Haymarket District in Lincoln is a charming and vibrant neighborhood filled with historic buildings, lively nightlife, delicious restaurants, and unique local shops. It's a dog-friendly area that offers something for everyone. Visitors can enjoy exploring the artsy atmosphere, dining at favorite restaurants, and indulging in tasty desserts. The district also features a beautiful mural of a train, a restored train engine and caboose, as well as an old depot alongside various shops and eateries.
We had an hour to kill between checking out of the hotel and heading over to the Capitol building for a tour (which I highly recommend ~ it's such a beautiful building and the tour guide was awesome), so we stopped at this lovely little spot to spend some time. I'm so glad we did. It doesn't take long to see, but what we did see was very intriguing. And if you're hungry and/or want to do a little shopping, it looks as if there are some very nice places around to do both.

It was clean, nice, and lots of different shops and places to eat. There are a couple of murals, statues, and mosaics. Plenty of public restrooms, trash cans, and dog poop bags. Everything is in walking distance. There are maps at the visitor center that show where everything is, and some street corners had maps as well. It is right there at the Nebraska Stadium.

From classic arcade favorites like Donkey Kong and Frogger to modern simulations of soccer and golf, there's something here for everyone. The atmosphere is electric yet inviting, making it the perfect place to gather with friends or family.
I enjoyed coming here with my partner for my 21st birthday! It was a great time. I ordered a few drinks, and played some pinball for about 30 minutes, as there is a wide selection of machines. We also played Foosball and ski ball for a while which was also very enjoyable. We then played some of the classic arcade games!! I would definitely come back sometime.

This is the best arcade bar in Lincoln, because it's the only arcade bar in Lincoln. Tonight's experience was a little disappointing, as it seems the count of machines malfunctioning or out of order seems to multiply each time I visit. At least half of the games we played tonight had something wrong with them, or just flat out stole our money. As someone who is an avid lover of arcade and pinball bars, this bar has some work to do to meet the standard. Most arcade bars now have dedicated staff who fix and/or swap out malfunctioning machines on the spot. For how long this bar has been established, some progress should have been made in this direction. It would make the experience so so so much better. The space has so much potential.

Absolutely a must stop if you are in The Haymarket area! This place has all of the great old video games, a pool table, and a foose ball table. The bar tender is great at making drinks even when someone in our group didn't know what they wanted the bartender mixed up a great one. The bathrooms have tons of old magazines laid on the wall which were blasts from the past! Some games were out of order and Tetris is out of line, so you have been warned ! There is also a skee ball that almost always declares you a winner! This place is just a great blast from the past! Don't be surprised when you realize that you no longer remember your key moves or combinations in these classic games! It is located in the basement level which is the only reason this has a 4 instead of 5 stars. I'm happy to change it if there is a way for someone who has mobility issues to get down there.

Tavern On the Square is a popular spot in Lincoln, Nebraska, known for its great morning drinks and outdoor baggo games. We were in Lincoln for a get-away and were so happy we stopped in for happy hour! We were greeted by Christian with a big smile, positive attitude, and was a lot of fun! He seemed to like his job and was very good at what he does! Then when changing shifts, his co-worker, Mike, came in and he was wonderful too...even taking the time to make sure that Christian got the tips from the people he had waited on before Mike took over. I hope management recognizes these great bartenders, because good help is hard to find! I also was very impressed that this business had a woman's rest room and made the other restroom be a male or female restroom. Because it is just a one room restroom, this takes care of the long line often at the woman's room and also makes it easy for anyone that is transgender. I love that this option is here. Keep up the good work. We will absolutely be back!!!!

Friendly vibes in a prime spot—easy to swing by, hard to leave. The courtyard is hands-down one of the coolest locations in town, especially when the weather’s nice. Horrible experience. Bartender in overalls and hat was unbelievably rude. Genuinely have never seen a bartender treat customers so rudely. This bartender yelled at my friends for not knowing what seltzer flavors they offered and then gave them the wrong flavor seemingly on purpose. I later witnessed him accost a customer about using the bathroom with a friend bc the line was very long (I had seen many many others use the bathroom in pairs before this with no problem). He yelled horrible homophobic comments and was encouraging other patrons to join in on the bullying. I truly have never seen anything like it. How a bartender gets away with treating paying customers like this is beyond me. Disgusting sad behavior.

They kicked me out of their outside area all because I put my head down onto the table. They said “I can’t have people sleeping in here this is a bar.” I told them I was not sleeping and that I was calling someone and showed them my phone which showed me waiting for someone to pick up and they still proceeded to tell me I had to leave. I did nothing wrong. All I did was lay my head down on the table literally. Wasn’t sleeping and proved that. Still kicked me out. In a rude way not to mention. Seemed like they were trying to put on a show for the other people there. I am a 24 year old female and I was there by myself and I was already having a hard day and then they did this to me. Will never go there again.

If I could give negative stars I would. It is always so disappointing when a seemingly good night gets ruined by poor judgement and management. My sister and I were out with a group of friends celebrating the end of the school year at TOTS. When an incident occurred with another guest and things suddenly escalated. Our party was told to “get the hell out” by workers Mikey Suliman, Will Wilson and John Derr. Will also forcefully grabbed my other sister who was not drinking but just trying to help my older sister (who the incident occurred to) calm down. It was clear to us that the workers had befriended the other party who started the issue (might I add) to which they never felt the need to kick them out. This paints a very bad picture for TOTS because now you have white workers forcing the black people to leave and not doing the same to the other party who were just as guilty. In terms of justice and fairness, this was handled extremely poorly. No matter what side of the story you hear or know if both parties are causing a ruckus everyone should leave. Point blank period. After leaving we returned to hopefully speak to the manager or owner. I was able to talk to Ernie and help him understand the situation regardless of what side of the story he knows or believes. The right thing to do is to treat both sides how you are going to treat the other. I am extremely disappointed that this is the type of reputation that TOTS wants to carry and have. As an establishment you should be better. I hope each individual gets the training they need to better handle this type of situation as well as learn to treat ALL peoples with the respect that they rightfully deserve. May you be better TOTS.

Do yourself a favor and go fall in love at Tav. Fall in love with the courtyard during golden hour, one or all of the various leagues (darts, bags, pitch, bop-it), a friendly "corner" regular, Ernie, flip night, dog lovers, cheese balls, reasonably priced and generously poured bevys. Get to know your friends better and meet new people who appreciate a warm Nebraska summer evening. Say hi to Christian (unless you aren't ready to fall in love, because you might). Tavern is the place to know the real Haymarket community. Don't sleep on The Other Room. Don't sleep anywhere. It's unlawful to sleep at a bar. 10 out of 10. Will always return.

There is no kitchen, thats the reason for the 1 star on food. Bartender was great! It's a cash only bar & wasn't prepared for that. Already paid a cover to see a band so took a hit at the ATM to get cash. Drinks are fairly inexpensive. Band sounded great!

I had the privilege of entertaining guests at one of JJ Hooligans' brunch events, and it was truly remarkable! The venue was superb, the staff were exceptional, and the customers were incredibly friendly and hospitable. I am eager to return to simply be a spectator and have no doubt that their brunch experience will be equally outstanding as my performance.
The first time I had a vapor shot at JJ's, I became and atheist. The second time I had a vapor shot at JJ's, I woke up in my ex's front lawn. 10/10 would recommend

Some 5 foot 2 security guard cut me off after two beers for being "too drunk". I was just casually playing pool with a group of friends. We were not behaving out of the ordinary in any way. Most bizarre experience I've had. I think Frodo has an inferiority complex.

I was literally the only person trying to order a drink at the downstairs bar. One bartender just walked into the backroom as I approached the counter and the other one wouldn't stop talking to some girls that weren't going to sleep with him. So I had to stand there for several minutes (as the only person at the bar) just for a third bartender to come along and actually do their job. This took place on 01/24/2025 between 11:00 and 11:30 if you care to look

Came for the Vapor shots and stayed for the beer pong. We heard it was a great place and that the Vapor shots really hits but that was not the case. It was a cool display but they definitely weren't very strong. Just another over priced shot really. Actually all the drinks were pretty expensive. The staff was actually great. great place but I honestly have to brag about that beautiful bar tender with the that pretty smile, make sure you tip that goddess MiMi good, she's got enough kids to start a daycare at home she's got to feed. pretty cool place as well, great prices, and a friendly environment.

Right off of South 13th Street, near Arapahoe, in a strip mall. There is a place that is hidden and only those privy to its location may enjoy its luxury. Down a set of stairs, that reminded me of a film by the name Akira. I walk down the stairs to be met by a colorful and very unique individual. He asks if I'm here for the show. I surely am and I look forward to enjoying myself. I step beyond the entrance into a room that seems as cozy as a friend's basement at 17. The music is already going. The show is going strong. In the back of the house are pool tables where celebration and competition meet like two oceans that were made for each other. Just before that is a seating area and a bar to the left. This is where the revelry comes together, and different walks of life meet on the same stage. I can't go any further as I feel you must experience it for yourself. You must know this place and enjoy what stories it has to tell. This is one storm I would gladly welcome.

I use to like this place. But it’s the only bar I’ve ever been kicked out of ever, and I was stone sober. It’s happened 3 times, so I won’t go there anymore. Last time, it was the first bar I visited. I didn’t even have a drink. My friend was waiting for the bar, I went to use the bathroom. When I came out they kicked me out. I had literally walked in, talked to my friend, used the bathroom, and had to leave. The other 2 times I had a few drinks, but was by no means making a scene. Anyway, it’s a nice place, if they let you actually stay. I don’t know, maybe they just have issues with overweight people.

If you're on the hunt for a vibrant yet laid-back bar experience in Lincoln, NE, look no further than Iguanas Pub. Known affectionately as Iggy's, this spot boasts an inviting ambiance with its dim lighting and comfortable seating that sets the stage for a memorable night out. With an impressive array of drink options and enticing weekday specials, it's perfect for gathering with friends after a long day. The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelmingly noisy, making it ideal for conversation or enjoying some tunes.
So starting with the food. Havent had it tbh, but the popcorn is a godsend especially with the college crowd. And youll see alot of it. Usually pretty busy on friday and saturdays. If you tip (as you should) you'll get better service but the bartenders are usually friendly/helpful anyway. Atmosphere is college vibes...the music is usually a mix of dance/new music. It is loud though, fair trigger warning, for those that have anxiety of loud noises or large crowds. But always a great time! 5 stars
M G — Google review
Very homophobic dress code. My friends and I came, 2 of us came one was wearing a sleeveless sequence shirt and a sleeveless knit shirt. We were denied entry because of no sleeves but the group after us (women) were wearing sleeveless shirts and dresses and were let in no problem. It’s 2025 and many people do not subscribe to gender norms with clothing. This is an extreme form of discrimination. We went over to Das Haus and the Fat Toad with no problems. Take your business to more inclusive venues.

I not gonna lie, kinda ruined my vibe for a lil bit (they don't allow males in that are wearing tanktops :/ (your fine chickas ✌️) so, sexist yes.. apparently but tank tops tho :/ yikes... every other time I've been in tho, it's a good vibe (like most other bars)

They have free popcorn and bottled PBR. Always packed and lots of fun. I only give four stars because the pool tables are way out of level.
Garret K — Google review
We always start our O street bar crawls at Iggy's. Classic college bar, free popcorn, good drink specials. Tables have built in coolers which is pretty fun.
Brian G — Google review
I will take the time to rate Iggy's because I love this place. It is one of the nicest bars that I have ever been to hands down. It's a great place to go for a bar crawl or just a casual drink after a long day. Great service despite it being a very busy and popular place. Great Moscow Mules. If you've never been there my favorite drink that they make is called the bomb pop. They have free popcorn, which is also why I love this place. Just an overall incredible bar. 10/10
Dylan D — Google review
The bar has a nice modern design, with up to three bars, a few pools tables, booth seating, and high tables in addition to bar seating. There are bathrooms located at the front and back of the bar, which is convenient. Drinks are good quality, although you pay a little more for this. There's always free popcorn to snack on. Tuesday nights are "Top Shelf Tuesdays", which is just any alcohol for $3 if you feel like getting turnt on a Tuesday or just getting a few drinks with friends. You can also rent the back room for private parties, depending on the day. The reason I mark it as 4 stars rather than 5 is that it is usually PACKED on Friday and Saturday nights... yes, I know it's a bar near a college campus, but sometimes it's so full that you can barely move through the bar.
Erin N — Google review
On a weeknight, I enjoy heading to Iggy's with a few friends. Every weekday has drink specials, and usually I can find something I'm interested in. Bartenders are pretty good, and the barstools are comfortable. Some people enjoy the music selections. On weekends, I avoid this place. It's hard to find a place to sit, it's crowded, and people spill their popcorn everywhere. It's one of the more happening bars in the 14th and O St area, and it's a classic college bar, if that's what you're after. Overall, I enjoy this bar and have spent way too much money there.

Was looking for a place to unwind after work. Wanted something with lower energy. Found exactly that at Harry's Wonder Bar. Clean bathrooms. 5/5 experience

Young female bartender Tuesday 12/10/24. We arrived late after a late dinner for a after dinner cocktail before we went home. The bartender complained about the owners of the bar. We didn't want to hear any of this we were trying to enjoy our evening. She said the ppl who bought the bar owned piedmont bistro and venue and only bought the place for the property. She complained about all the college kids that came in and didn't tip. Well, if she was as nasty to them as she was to us, I don't blame them! Then she ignored everyone at the bar and looked at her phone. She was rude, disrespectful and unprofessional and she bashed the establishment that was giving her a paycheck. Who employs people like this that ruins the experience of evey patron who walks in the door? I will NEVER go back to Harry's Wonder Bar after that miserable experience!

I love this bar!!!!! This is the place where everybody knows your name. The kind of place that they write songs about. The staff is friendly, so there's always great conversation. The drinks are excellent! None of that watered down stuff here, and they're served in a big frosted mug. Stop in for a drink, you won't regret it!

Some people use the phrase “dive bar” as though it was pejorative. I use it as a term of endearment! This is a dive bar! The music is good. The beer is cold. The people are friendly. The staff is competent. I like this bar. It’s a welcome respite from the loud, thumping college bars nearby. You can have a conversation here! You can make a new friend here! Coworker and I were staying at a hotel in the area and stopped by after work for a few drinks that weren't just your standard beer. Rumology was just the right place for that. Bouncers were very kind. They let us go to the ATM to get cash to pay the cover unlike Duffy’s Tavern. Drinks were cheap and vibe was fun.

This place charges crazy prices for really poorly made drinks. It also over crowds to an amount that would make me think if a fire broke out a lot of people would be trampled thought the tiny hallway that connects the two rooms. The cover is always at least 5 bucks. I personally think this is the worst bar on o street. I'd rather go home early then the brass rail

Among other things, the final nail in the coffin was one of the bouncers picking up my dropped cash and acting like someone else did it. He told me he saw someone pick up cash on their way out, but I know they went back in and was standing where he was. Enjoy my $20.

The Nebraska State Capitol, completed in 1932, is a stunning architectural marvel located in the heart of Lincoln. Designed by renowned architect Bertram Goodhue, it stands out with its Art Deco style and brilliant white facade. The building features a 400-ft. domed limestone tower and captivating courtyards. Inside, visitors can explore the Great Hall, legislative rooms, and grand vestibule adorned with works by Kenneth Evett and murals depicting Indian history.
What a beautiful, well manicured place. We walked around and enjoyed the day walking our fur baby. We enjoyed seeing the Governor's house that was very nice as well. The Capital was a very beautiful building. Enjoy the pictures. There is a statue of Abraham Lincoln. I am so happy to see that!!
Sylvia V — Google review
One of the coolest capitols we have been in. We unfortunately did not get to do the tour, however there is a lot of mosaic art on the floors, walls, and ceiling. There are also statues, and hallways where you can look out into the courtyard. I recommend picking up the templates at the least to learn some of the history and meaning behind the mosaics, but a tour would be best. The tours are free, and they happen just about every hour, however I recommend checking the schedule that is at the front desk. Also, the bathrooms are clean.
Sadie K — Google review
One of the coolest capitals I’ve ever been to. I took a walk around the grounds early in the morning. It was right after a thunderstorm the night before, as you can see in one of my picture we got to meet the governor‘s cat. Well, it must be the governor’s cat. It was pretty well fed. It needed a little company because of the thunderstorm hours before and it was a wonderful morning we came back later in the day and walked the steps to top little bit disappointed because I may never returned Lincoln, Nebraska and the observation balcony was closed but really enjoyed looking around the inside of the building tile work was beautiful

The Nebraska State Capitol stands as a commanding presence in Lincoln, a striking design featuring peaceful courtyards and stunning mosaics on both the floors and ceilings. Be sure to see the grand Native American design on the Senate doors, and take in the castle-like feel of the interior. The gift shop is excellent too, with a great selection to wrap up your visit.

Entrance : free Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln, designed by architect Bertram Goodhue, which took approximately 10 years to build, construction began in 1922 and was completed in 1932 this iconic building stands tall at 400 feet, making it the tallest state capitol in the USA. With its stunning Art Deco architecture and intricate murals, it’s a true gem of Nebraska’s heritage. If your around the area then it’s a must visit spot.
Sonia B — Google review
Easily the most beautiful building in the state of Nebraska. The Capitol is a gigantic tower with huge sweeping halls with ornately decorated walls and floors.
Matt B — Google review
A must see if you're visiting Lincoln Nebraska! The 14th floor provides close to 360 degree views of the surrounding areas and the building has beautiful engravings and murals throughout. Staff is friendly and guided tours are available. Lots of on-street available parking just a few blocks away and several of the meters accept coins--just $2 for a few hours of parking. The photos I posted include one of the Governor's office and a few of the legislature, which was in session during our visit.
Howard S — Google review
As someone who is intimately familiar with this building I would say there is a lot to see and enjoy. It is not a place to go “party” or really hang out all that much. It is a nice quiet building with a nice little tour. You have the freedom to walk just about anywhere in the building. The main purpose is to conduct Government business firstly and secondly to act as a historical monument of education to the people that the government does business on behalf of. I would say if you’re looking for a massive tourist hub of activity that is not what this place is. But if you are looking for a cool building with lots of artwork and historical facts and history and to learn more about the Nebraska state government you found your place. I would say the most under utilized part of the building is the outside 2nd floor balcony. It’s a beautiful 360 view of the surrounding downtown area. It is obviously not as high up as the 14th floor view but it’s a beautiful open terrace like area to enjoy both the building and outside. The 2nd Most under utilized section would be the 4 gardens on the interior. Each garden section has a beautiful different colored water fountain, and benches. These are designed to allow a breeze to blow down into them most of the time and standing close to the fountain is usually a cooler temp as the moving water acts like a swamp cooler. The wonderfully black and white checkered pathways add a nostalgic tinge of beauty to walking in the space. These are good places to just sit with your thoughts, be alone, or otherwise find some peace for a bit. The only reason I don’t give this place 5 stars is because it does feel like there are amenities missing in comparison to other state capitols. The information desk on the 1st floor isn’t always staffed and if you don’t come in the main front entrance it isn’t obvious where the tourist office is. And the cafeteria is nothing to write home about. But the newly opened gift shop is wonderful. Also it is a great substitute if you are visiting but the city center tourist office is closed the capitol staff have some great recommendations and advice for visitors.

Graduated from UNL back in 2000, a hopelessly confused Malaysian student who arrived thinking “football” was soccer.. you know, the one with feet. Instead, I found a sport where 300-pound men wear armor and charge like angry rhinoceroses, and somehow, I fell in love. We don’t even have American football back home, but the Huskers spirit got under my skin faster than a Midwestern sunburn. During Tom Osborne’s era, Nebraska didn’t just win.. we colonized scoreboards and turned victory into an art form. Memorial Stadium home to the Huskers, born in 1923 with 31,000 civilized spectators, now packs over 85,000 screaming souls every game day. On Saturdays, it becomes Nebraska’s third-largest city powered by adrenaline, chili dogs, and sheer denial.. where grown men cry, strangers hug, and cholesterol takes a holiday. And when the legendary Tunnel Walk started, the music hit, the crowd erupted, and I swear the earth’s rotation hesitated. Goosebumps? More like a full-body reboot. Once a Husker, always a Husker, it’s not a fandom, it’s a lifelong condition with symptoms like yelling “Go Big Red!” at random intervals. Came back in 2019 to watch a game. Why? All the way from Malaysia? Of course. Some people return home to find themselves, I returned to Lincoln to scream at padded men from the nosebleed seats and call it spiritual healing. Totally worth the 20 hours of recycled airplane air. Proud to share alumni roots with Warren Buffett (who could buy the NCAA), Gabrielle Union (who glows brighter than the Jumbotron), Johnny Carson (who’d roast any referee into early retirement), and Marlon Brando (who attended, rebelled, got expelled, and probably still haunts the campus's Union). I may have come from a country that thinks “football” is played with feet, but in Lincoln, I learned it’s played with heart, helmets, and the occasional mild concussion. Go BIG RED!!! #throwback2019 #gobigred #huskers #UNL

We loved doing the self guided Memorial Stadium peek & Tom Osborne center/NE Football Hall of Fame exhibit. The staff was all kind & helpful, facilities were clean & inviting, we loved showing our family (from out of town) some of our Lincoln staples!

This is a great ballpark. Smaller than many but there really are no bad seats here. Ticket prices were reasonable, food was reasonably priced but lines for concessions were very long. Best of all? The Kansas City fans are very kind and polite.

There's no place like Memorial Stadium on a game day. Loved walking around taking in the atmosphere before the game.

MEMORIAL STADIUM, Lincoln Nebraska. Here is why Memorial Stadium attracts so much attention: Electric game-day atmosphere: Reviewers frequently praise the "electric" and "unparalleled" atmosphere created by the loyal Husker fanbase, known as the "Sea of Red". For many, attending a football game is a quintessential Lincoln experience. Historic and traditional significance: As a century-old landmark in college football, Memorial Stadium is more than just a venue; it is a point of state pride and tradition. Massive capacity: The stadium holds over 85,000 fans, ensuring that home games are major events that draw crowds larger than the population of many Nebraska cities. Go Big Red!

This was a pretty great art museum, especially considering that admission is free. There wasn't a large amount of exhibits, but a few of them that some really interesting and great works of art. I especially enjoyed the surrealism works they had on display. The inside of the building is beautiful as well. It wasn't busy at all when I went on a Saturday.

Great visit. A great mix of types of art and artists. A very nice reception lady who is graduating with an Art Degree. She has some great pics of her art. It should be displayed at the Sheldon Museum. Best Bathroom I have ever been in. Pics below.

Absolutely lovely museum. Spent half a day there on Sunday on the Nebraska U campus. Nicely themed exhibition rooms that are a mix of lesser-known and well-known Ed artists. Free to enter! Touching painting and description on the attached pictures I posted.

The first time here, I brought my grandson with me. It was very nice, lots of different artists and different ways of doing things. There was a lot I liked and some I didn't understand. The same went for my grandson. They had 4 galleries open, and 2 of the galleries were pretty big with different rooms. It is free admission. There is also artwork outside of Sheldon Gallery and throughout UNL campus and east campus.

Beautiful little free museum! They had a really nice selection of art on display and the staff were very friendly and attentive! Make sure to check out the sculpture garden out back as it is very interesting and full of a lot of unique art. Separate from the art, the building itself is beautiful and is a piece of art within itself!

The Sheldon is always a great place to see. The last time we went though, we were almost denied entry with my partner’s seeing eye dog. They did let us in, and we did explain to them that vests were not required for service dogs. You would think the harness would have given it away.

Bison Witches Bar & Deli is a laid-back sandwich shop and bar known for its inventive toppings. Originating in Tucson, Arizona, this classic BBQ joint and deli in Lincoln offers a range of all-American treats, from chicken and cheese nachos to Wisconsin cheese and bacon bread soups. Customers rave about the French dip sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup served in a delicious bread bowl. The Beef and Brie sandwich with sprouts is also highly recommended.
Oh my god. To say that i have never felt so fulfilled while eating a sandwich is an understatement. My first time having the bread bowl soup was mediocre, with the soup thinning from the bread. If i were you, get the ham sandwich on a croissant. Absolutely life changing.

The game was still on so there were several empty tables. We were greeted right away by our server. My husband gets the Reuben often here. It is consistently good with a generous helping of pastrami. I ordered the yummy Veggie Sandwich on wheat. I did ask for more lettuce again but otherwise it was made to my specifications. The bread was only toasted in the middle, like on a press or something, idk, kinda strange. Upgraded to Chips and Queso! Food came out quickly. Our server Samantha was very attentive and personable 🙂.

Cute deli spot near the University. Great for large groups. There is literally something for everyone. Our group all had a different sandwich and soup and we enjoyed trying each other’s food. We all really enjoyed the food. Would I say it was the best Cubano or French dip that I have ever tried? No, but good enough. No designated seating, you sit where you want. Service was good. Staff was attentive.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this while we were walking by and we're SO glad we did. I tried the chili a bread bowl with a grilled cheese and it was delicious. My boyfriend had the cream of potato bacon soup in a bread bowl and he loved it. Highly recommend! Extra points for being cheap and having amazing music.

Food is mediocre and unoriginal which isn't necessarily bad until you get the bill. Prices are set for tourists and visitors, locals don't eat here. Service is fine for a college town. With the prethora of options in downtown Lincoln Bison doesn't fill a need or want.

This is the perfect place for what it is- its not aiming to be the restaurant from The Bear (well maybe season 1)- Its not trying to be Dish- its trying to be a place that serves great sandwiches and has great drinks for a decent cost. With two locations to choose from, it's an ideal spot for casual gatherings with friends.
Awesome tour! Historic federal building and courthouse. Great architecture and history of Lincoln. See where your beer is brewed and have a taste! I ordered the snack pack. Delicious little collection to go with my pints.

We were on a long road trip, and drove about 40 minutes into Lincoln to check these folks out. As strangers to downtown, we had to circle the block a couple of times to get our bearings, and found plenty of metered parking at the curb. The brewery is in a cool space in the lower level of a historic building. Bonus—leashed, well-mannered dogs are welcome inside! Our bartender was a blast, as were the regulars also sitting at the bar. Every beer we sampled was masterfully brewed—and I don't say that casually. The brewing team is doing great work! If you're in search of great craft beer, you must put the BBC on your list. Cheers!

If variety is the spice of life...then I was definitely feeling hot, hot, hot HERE!! Recently in town for work and stopped by from a local work mate rec! So glad I did! There are parking lots nearby and street parking. The location is in the basement of the building and had an awesomely large wooden door! The sheer amount of available choices of sours, ciders, hard seltzers made me so ridiculously happy. Most come in a variety of sizes meaning you can create your own flight should you choose to! Pretty fun location with lots of seating, would be good for groups! They don't make their own food, but you can order and it's delivered to the brewery! I had the boiler burger and the frings and I enjoyed the seasoning on the frings. I thought the burger was on the dryer side so it was just ok for me. While I was there, I did notice they do trivia nights!Definitely stopping back here again, next time I'm in town!

My wife and I actually read a review for this place. The review said a lot of good things about the atmosphere and food. It reminds us of a place we used to go to back home in TX called Molly's Pub. Troy was a big help!!! He went over the menu with us and told us what he recommended and what he thought was the best on the menu. He was super nice and just an all around great guy!! We ordered jalapeño poppers for our appetizer and then we each had a personal pizza with bacon, pepperoni, and cream cheese. The food was absolutely amazing!!! They did NOT disappoint!!! This place was definitely a 10/10!!! It had a neighborhood pub vibe where everyone was having a great time. The server was obviously very busy, but my wife and I know what its like to be a server and to be the only one on the floor. She greeted us, took our order, and made sure we had what we needed. Very friendly and polite! 😊 We will definitely be back to try more items off the menu and to enjoy the laid back atmosphere.

Pizza Night Done Right at Patty’s Pub! Picked up dinner at 5 PM and everything was perfect—friendly service and hot, delicious food ready to go. We tried the Fat Pat’s Favorite Pizza (incredible!) and Portabella Mushrooms with Chipotle Ranch—a total flavor bomb. Swapped the kid’s side for Sweet Potato Fries and they were a hit! Easy, tasty, and worth repeating. See you next week, Patty’s!

So I am aware that March 17 is a big bay for you, however I came here to eat with my family. We waited about 30 minutes not a problem. My problem is when we get seated we see you have a limited menu that was not posted on doors or told about. Then when my family decides to go somewhere else I was going to stay and was told the bar was not serving food yet when ordered to go there where people at the bar eating. I have come year many years for this day and never was it this bad on not getting to eat. Also on my to go order I di not get my corned beef. And all I got when I went back was the meat and a sorry.

This place gets really busy, so that alone should tell you it is worth a try! Very extensive menu, they have a little bit of everything. I have had their pizza, Reuben, hamburgers, many different appetizers, and on Saturdays they have prime rib...so good! Recommend...

We were impressed with the service and value of great food at Patty's Pub. The bar tender greeted us at our table and gave us menus shortly after we sat down. Our server was attentive and helpful. We had the two Monday specials, burger and ribs. The ribs were half rack just as described in the regular menu, portion and sides were all there, really good deal and were tender and yummy. The burger was good size and grilled to perfection with a side of fresh-cut chips. The buns were grilled too. As always, drinks are consistently good and reasonably priced. We will be back for more!

I always get wings. Always. They are my favorite in Lincoln. Maybe in the state. Last night I decided to try something different and went with the Steakhouse Burger. It was absolutely delicious. If I had a critique it would be that it needed more of the house made steak sauce, but that didn't ruin my experience at all. The chips and queso side that came with it was fantastic. My wife got the chicken wrap and thoroughly enjoyed it other than it had a bit too much lettuce. Nothing worth crying about. The fried pickles are always amazing along with the sweet potato waffle fries. Be ready to fight for a table as the place is busy every time I've been there. Don't let how busy it is deter you as this place is an absolute gem.

We always have a great meal and excellent service when we visit. We've been here for weekend breakfast, and the portions are generous—especially the omelettes, which are packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. For lunch, it’s always the Southwest Eggrolls for the win—crispy, flavorful, and seriously addictive. Keno is available if you’re feeling lucky, and every server we've had has been attentive, kind, and on top of things. Their prices are more than reasonable for the quality and experience. Lincoln is lucky to have a neighborhood bar and grille like this—it's consistently delicious, welcoming, and worth the trip every time.

Drink order was taken, and within a few minutes we had our drinks. Food was shortly after that. The food was amazing. We had a pound of boneless wings and a Philly cheesesteak with onion petals. With an impressive menu featuring delicious options such as shrimp tacos and fantastic burgers, there's something to satisfy every palate.
Their smoked corned beef brisket was awesome! They don’t have a smoker but they rent one to use once a year for Saint Patty’s. I hear their burgers are really good as are their cheese steak hoagies. I only scored four stars for atmosphere because the tv or music was too loud for us old folks’ liking to talk and hear while visiting. Otherwise it is a very nice establishment. Waiter was super nice. Nice size portions and reasonably priced.

Had 3 beers in this place to start the night, figured I would buy a pitcher so I didn't have yo keep getting up as table service was below par and before I could even drink a beer from the pitcher I have a bartender ripping my cup from my hand as I'm taking a drink of it causing beer to spill all over myself and my phone. Just hit a different spot this one is bunk and will clearly fail as the other bars in Lincoln are far more respectful with way better service.

In the land that is downtown O Street in Lincoln, it's nice to be able to escape from the young college bars and find yourself with young professionals and some of the best drink deals around. We went here on Christmas Eve. Not many patrons were there, so we wanted to play some music in the jukebox. I had a dollar in Quarters, So I asked the bartender if I could make it a whole dollar. I did not get his name, but he was a lanky man in hipster glasses and a button up tee shirt. The bartender informed me that he blocked the jukebox b/c “he had to work there” and wanted to listen to his music he enjoyed. He said he paused it so patrons could not play music he did not liked.

I stumbled upon this fine tavern, and by my grand sire, what a treasure it is! The ale flows cheap as dirt, and they’ve got UFC battles blaring on every screen—just the spot for us rowdy folk! And those wings! On Wednesdays, they be but a mere quarter each—crispy and most tasty, perfect for a hungry belly. The manager be a brave soul, willing to slay a dragon for this tavern! With a hearty grin, he makes all feel right at home. The place is filled with laughter and good cheer. I’d gladly bestow five stars upon this tavern for its fine fare, cheap drink, and merry company!

Brothers Bar & Grill in Lincoln is an awesome spot! The atmosphere is always lively, the staff is super friendly, and the service is quick. Their burgers are delicious, and the beer selection is top-notch. It's a great place to catch a game, hang out with friends, or just unwind after a long day. The music and energy make it a fun and welcoming place every time. Definitely one of the best bars in Lincoln—highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t already!

By far the best bar experience on O st! Cheap drinks, dope atmosphere, multiple pool tables and a punching bag! Big enough to get down on the dance floor or to grab a booth and make conversation! They even serve 25¢ wings on wednesdays! (The cooks are a couple young studs and kill it every time🔥) You’ll love this place no matter the occasion

Bourbon Theatre is a refurbished 1930s cinema that now functions as a live-music venue. It features multiple bars serving well-crafted cocktails. The theater also showcases notable independent and foreign films on its two screens, including thought-provoking documentaries. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, Bourbon Theatre offers prime seating options with reserved tables overlooking the stage and crowd. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the facilities are impeccably clean. The staff at Bourbon Theatre is friendly and accommodating.
This was our second time at bourbon but this show was definitely smaller than GWAR last year. The Jason Mayer band was pretty good considering how small the crowd was. The drummer was pretty awesome and you could definitely tell he was loving the night. The sound was a lot better than Them Dirty Roses, it was hard to make out most of the lyrics. Overall it was a fun time. We are looking forward to at least 2 more shows this year.

This is one of my favorite small venues in the Omaha/ Lincoln area. They've always got a lineup of great shows on the calendar. I love the way they have the merch area set up so you can hang out and talk with the bands after their gig or walk up a few stairs and do a shot at the bar with the guys from the bands.

Bourbon Theatre is a historic location in the heart of Downtown Lincoln Nebraska. Famous for the infinite number of touring acts of the years they've brought through the area. The staff here is always great whether its security, bartenders, sound/light, management, and everything in between. No venue will accommodate you more for what you have planned than here.

Saw Whitechapel there. Good venue with good acoustics. The seating for a party of 4 was lacking. Drink prices were on the high side but I've seen worse. Had a good experience overall.

Leighton's Pub is a top choice whenever the question of where to eat arises. It offers a private bar that can accommodate events with attentive staff who ensure everything runs smoothly. The pub stands out for its excellent food, including Lobster Rolls, and fast service. Guests can also enjoy outdoor seating during warmer months and indulge in delicious drinks while playing board games, pool, or darts.
Excellent food, excellent service. If you want to go cheap you can go in and split a pizza which is excellent. If you want to go expensive you can get sides and dessert and drinks like we did. Only thing we didn't like was the chicken on top of the mac and cheese. The beer was excellent. The BALT sandwich with sweet potato fries was excellent, truffle fries excellent.

I was taken out for a belated Mother's Day dinner several weeks ago. A lot of times we lean towards Seafood we can share and they decided on Leighton's Pub. We went on a Sunday evening and there were only a few tables occupied so we were seated right away. My son insisted on the Cheese Curds for a starter, proclaiming them a favorite. He stuck with the Chipotle Mayo and we also got a side of Ranch. They were one of the better versions I've had, very yummy! He also got an order of Boneless Wings so he'd have something to reheat later. Blackberry Habanero sauce which appeared to be literally poured over the top instead of tossed with the chicken. First time I've seen that. I was excited to try their Lobster Roll, pretty much the only place you can regularly order it in Lincoln. I had planned on sharing it as we have done prior at other places. It was way smaller than we had anticipated however. Barely any actual "meat", they both got a bite. It wasn't what any of us had expected. I liked the Onion Rings although they were a tad on the greasy side. Fish and Chips we'd also chosen to divide amongst us. Turns out it was little more than glorified fish sticks. Super bummed. We all tried it but we left quite a bit behind. Fries were really good though! Lastly his woman ordered the Goob Burger with peanut butter. She's had it before and enjoyed it with a Sweet Potato Fry side! This was the first place in a long time that really had me stumped. Service was spotty. Food was the definition of hit-or-miss. I know a lot of people that Really love it here. Super High price tag to have that off of a night. Stop by during a lunch on a weekday not too crowded. My son and I got seated. Waited a little while and looked over the menu. Kids menu was requested with options so that was refreshing. He grabbed A cheeseburger and Mac and cheese. I had the Thai pie and it was very good! Crisp crust coming off that wood fire stove is hitting all the senses! Adding carrots to the top was a nice treat.

Stopped into the pub without any research and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the taco pizza after finishing a 78-mile ride at Gravel Worlds — it really hit the spot and I’d definitely get it again. I also had a Moscow mule that was well made. The service was friendly, though a bit on the slower side when it came to checking back in. Overall, great food and a solid experience — I’d come back for sure.
Soccerbmw1 — Google review
The food was tasty. However, both of our burgers were absolutely hammered and it wasn't until after we started eating them we realized our server hadn't asked us how we wanted them cooked. They were cooked all the way though no pink anywhere. Like I said they tasted good just too done for either of our tastes. The fries were fantastic though. Reminded me of Hopcats. Beer selection was pretty mediocre but they had Fairy Nectar at least so we each got one of those. If you like sports bars this is the place for you. TVs everywhere. Not really my thing. Also the seating was really uncomfortable. The service was very attentive and friendly. I'm not going to write this place off completely yet. We're very curious about the wood fire pizzas so I may end up changing this review when we try those. Going just off the burgers though I'm not sure I'd recommend it
Braden J — Google review
Everything was really good. My wife handles spice like a 4 yr old, she got the side of Mac and cheese. Turns out it's spicy, but doesn't say that on the menu anywhere. It was too hot for her to eat, so she nibbled off everyone else's plate. The person that had the chicken sandwich said it was a little overcooked and dry but had good flavor
L — Google review
Chill atmosphere that’s just right for any crowd. My husband and I decided to try a new place last night and were greeted by super friendly staff. Our waitress (I can’t remember her name) she’s blonde with piercings and said she was a barista before…anyways she was the nicest ever and made me this amazing milkshake! The food tasted soooo good, Leightons Pub is absolutely doing it right and we will be back again soon! I suggest the pretzels with cheese dip (out of this world), artichoke dip and Margarita Pizza. So yummy.

University
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, also known as Nebraska, UNL, or NU, is a renowned public research university located in Lincoln, Nebraska. Established in 1869 as the state's oldest university and flagship institution of the University of Nebraska system, it offers top-notch arts and science programs along with a prominent football team. The campus features impressive red-brick buildings and Victorian-style lecture halls set amidst cherry tree groves and winding walkways that create a vibrant atmosphere during term time.
It's a great University in Nebraska where you will find all nationalities represented. I liked the programs they have for new students where they make sure that you get used to living on campus while getting to know your fellow students. The quality of education if awesome and most of the teachers are very supportive. When you attend UNL, always go to Husker Hub to ask for help if you need anything and don't feel like you don't have any option. They have an answer for any question you might have.
Benjamin N — Google review
UNL’s Accounting Office and Unnecessary Student Fees etc I am disappointed with the accounting office at UNL and the way the university prioritizes business and money-making over learning and student support. Every service seems to come with an extra cost. For example, the school charges a fee for issuing a student ID, which seems unnecessary for a first-time issue. When I emailed the business office about the charges on my account, they simply sent me a link saying they charge for even the first ID. However, when I replied with a screenshot of what I had found when looking up information on issuing an ID—which indicated that it is free—they never responded again. Parking is another issue. The university charges more per hour for parking in its garages than the city does for public parking. It’s frustrating that students are expected to pay so much just to access their own campus. Beyond finances, the overall atmosphere of the university does not feel like a place of learning and support. When I had questions about prerequisites in the past about becoming a special education teacher, I either didn’t receive a response and had to email again or was sent from one person to another Another major frustration has been trying to get my 1098-T form for my yearly taxes. While I got part of it, the university did not include or communicate the costs of the study abroad program I did through them, and I’ve been trying to hunt down this information myself. It’s now mid-March. What makes this even more frustrating is that I never experienced these kinds of issues while taking classes or earning a degree elsewhere. Unfortunately, I feel limited here in Nebraska, and at SCC (Southeast Community College) we can only take a limited number of classes. This leaves me stuck dealing with UNL’s bureaucracy and unnecessary costs.

So far so good :) A great experience from admission process, through orientation, class registration, and contemporary learning facilities, to the amazing staff in every part of the campus.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln (Nebraska, UNL, or NU) is a public land-grant research university in Lincoln, Nebraska. It is the state's oldest university and the flagship institution of the University of Nebraska system. The state legislature chartered the university in 1869 as a land-grant university under the 1862 Morrill Act, two years after Nebraska became a state. At the turn of the 20th century, the university expanded significantly, hiring professors from eastern schools to teach its new professional programs and conducting groundbreaking research in agricultural sciences. The "Nebraska method" of ecological study developed during this time pioneered grassland ecology and laid the foundation for research in theoretical ecology for the rest of the century. The university is organized into eight colleges on two campuses in Lincoln with over 100 classroom buildings and research facilities. It is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity". According to the National Science Foundation, Nebraska spent $308 million on research and development in 2018, ranking it 78th in the nation. Nebraska's athletic programs, known as the Cornhuskers, compete in NCAA Division I and are a member of the Big Ten Conference. NU's football team has won 46 conference championships and claims five national championships, with an additional nine unclaimed. The school's volleyball team has won five titles and appeared in the national semifinal nine other times. NU plays its home football games at Memorial Stadium and has sold out every game since 1962. The stadium's capacity of 91,585 people is famously larger than the population of Nebraska's third-largest city.

The Bar offers a laid-back atmosphere with affordable drinks, great music, and a spacious outdoor patio. It's popular among local college students and gets lively late at night. The owners are highly regarded, and the bar features specials every night as well as dart leagues on Tuesdays. The staff is friendly, and there's an outdoor area with games available. While it may not be everyone's preferred music scene, it's praised for its bicycle parking convenience in the downtown area.
Such a warm bar that would gives you the typical Nebraska feel for younger kids. Gets lively after 11, filled with local college students from UNL, that bring the place to life. Cheap deals every night on the specials board and dart leagues every Tuesday!

Ah yes, Bar the Bar, where the bouncer gives you the wrong change and then threatens to fight you when you mention it. Nothing says “great night out” like being screamed at by a guy with a badge and a god complex. Inside? Packed, impossible to get a drink, and it smells like a frat house bathroom. 10/10 would recommend if you hate yourself.

My friend had a bad experience with a bartender that was purposefully over-serving her even though he was apparently “not working” and refused to serve me a water. Sounds suspicious doesn’t it? I called and spoke to the manager but he did nothing and the same gross bartender was checking my ID the next week🤢 Staff has always been extremely rude especially the ones that are underage and are allowed to drink within the bar. I can’t imagine anything good ever happens here.

Rosie's SPORTS BAR & GRILL offers a comfortable atmosphere where one can relax by the fire pit and enjoy a wide selection of beers on tap or delicious cocktails. The BBQ brisket is highly recommended, as it received favorable reviews for its great taste. The beef fries appetizer is also unique and not commonly found elsewhere. The standout side dish is the potato salad, which has a perfectly balanced flavor enhanced by hints of dill pickle juice.

I feel taken advantage of. Stopped in to get "to go" sandwich for wife. Saw sign board a doorway stating tacos $1.50 ea. Decide to order 4 of them as well. When presented with bill see that I'm CHARGED $2 EA for tacos. When I brought this to attention of staff they say "to go is $2 - it is in menu." I get menu and see nothing other than Tuesday, $1.50 tacos. I'm then told that "lots of places charge more for togo orders", but can't name ONE when asked, see it in their menu. If you can't trust their menu prices, what can you trust?
Larry F — Google review
If you want to go to Rosie's, the downtown and highway 2 experience are night and day different. The downtown experience was phenomenal, for which I've previously wrote a review. The day we tried Rosie's South, we joke that the "restaurant Gods" were punishing us. I couldn't imagine being more disgusted in 2 single main courses. Not only was I shocked by the poor quality of our meals, but it was asinine anyone from the kitchen to our server, to feel this was appropriate to serve. My Philly was so burnt I couldn't tell what was cheese, onion, peppers, or mushrooms. Initially, our corner was a bit dark, and I couldn't tell how disgusting this looked. As I tried to muscle through it, I realized how awful and inedible it was. Our server hadn't come back, and I couldn't see her. The onion rings were so over cooked and greasy they were also unfinished. The French dip was incredibly unimpressive. I'll never order food from this location again it was so awful.

We went as a team to enjoy a meal and I understand that we were a big group but I had to remind them twice about one of our meals (the pizza). We took it to-go and not only were we the last to get served it was also burnt and all the toppings slid off. We were just disappointed that we had to remind them twice about it and it not being edible.

Terrible experience. Some co-workers and I asked to change the music. The owner got very upset and aggressive with us in a flash. It seemed like he had been drinking himself. We just asked for different music or at least to turn it down. The next thing ya know, he's yelling at us and threatening to throw us out. It did turn into an argument and we left, we didn't want to spend our money to help the owner get drunk on the clock. Terrible way to treat your customers.. shameful

I had a fantastic experience at Catalyst - Kitchen, Taproom, Patio, & Brewing Co. during Sunday lunch. The food was delectable; I enjoyed the Kickn' Chicken sandwich paired with sweet potato fries, both of which were excellent. My partner also relished a refreshing spiked mango lemonade alongside their meal. It was the perfect way to wrap up the week. We will definitely return for the outstanding food, outdoor seating, and exceptional service!
Had a great time sampling some beverages! Also enjoyed the Buffalo Trace if you want something stronger than what I took a picture of. Jillian was an excellent server helping with food suggestions. Fish tacos with the bang sauce was tasty with tots. Also shared the Catalyst burger with waffle fries. Definitely was not disappointed by anything even the atmosphere was classy!

Catalyst Kitchen Tap Room has a great atmosphere and a solid variety of food and drinks, but the overall experience was hit or miss. The drummies were a creative idea and tasted okay, but the fish tacos and chicken melt were just average—not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. Unfortunately, one of the cocktails didn’t sit well with me and sent me straight to the bathroom, which was disappointing. Service was also just okay. Our waitress wasn’t very helpful in clarifying the menu. For example, she made it seem like the tacos came with a side, but we were later charged separately, making us feel like we were upsold rather than properly informed. A little more transparency and attentiveness would have improved the experience. That said, the restaurant has a welcoming vibe, and the drink selection is good. It’s a decent place to grab a bite and a drink, though the food and service can be inconsistent. I’d recommend checking it out for yourself—you might have a better experience depending on what you order.

We thought the vibe was right. And we were right! We had three restaurants to choose from...we picked Catalyst bc the patio seating was amazing, and the staff SO friendly! The food was good. Skip the $16 Chef's salad... nothing to shout about. Flatbread Hawaiian Pizza... Ok... But not a crisp crust. Kinda soggy. Rodeo Burger was a winner... the Tots were a bit overdone, cold and not plentiful. I like crispy, hot and lots 😎 But the service was superb and we really enjoyed our weight drop as well as all of the staff we chatted with! I'd go back for sure, but I'd order something different.

Dear Catalyst Ownership Team, I’m writing as a customer who has always appreciated the concept and atmosphere of Catalyst Taproom. However, I recently had a troubling experience that I feel the owner should be made aware of. During my visit, I encountered behavior from the general manager, Chloe, that I found unprofessional and concerning. She was not only rude in her communication but also made disparaging comments about other employees in front of staff and customers. This kind of behavior reflects poorly on your business and can damage both staff morale and customer experience. I wanted to bring this to your attention because I believe in supporting local businesses that treat their employees and patrons with dignity and respect. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and used to foster a more positive and professional environment at Catalyst. Thank you for taking the time to hear my concerns.
