HopCat East Lansing is a lively brewpub near the MSU campus, featuring intricate woodwork and over 100 draft beers. It's popular among beer enthusiasts and casual diners, offering creative pub fare and delectable brunch items. The young, energetic crowd creates a vibrant ambiance, with special events and trivia nights adding to the excitement. The menu includes classic bar options, with crack fries being a standout favorite.
The chef makes some really good selections with a beautiful and fun bar theme. They specially do a wonderful, inspiring job of incorporating beer, cheese, and potato. The beer battered Cosmik fries side with cracked pepper and cheese sauce is good and unique. The honey sriracha boneless wings with ranch are uniquely flavorful. These are a middle sized portion. As a third selection, the really good beer cheese soup is rich and creamy once moving past the beer taste. Without a side fry, the chef generously tops the soup with tasteful potato. I wish they served a heartier produce option of a side house salad filled with more quality vegetable. Also, I wish to find in more cities honey sriracha fried chicken and beer battered fries. 🐥 🍯 🥛 🍺 🥔 🧀

First time to order from Hopcat and the food was average. I got fish and chips with coleslaw, fries and some sauce. The fish was crispy, the coleslaw was good, the fries was oily and the sauces were fine. 3 stars is enough as I have tried way better fish and chips in several other places.

We attended HopCat in Ann Arbor, MI the evening of University of MI 2025 season football first game which was a night game a couple weeks ago. So fun! I've never been to HopCat and that was my first choice for an early dinner. It was very packed like all other restraunts so we got to sit outside in their umbrella table sesting area on a warm late afternoon. So epic! My son is a brewer on West Coast so I'm a brewmaster Mom and loved the beer choices. 🍺 so cool! Awesome place and I will be back soon!! 🏈 💛 💙

The hangover helper is literally one of the best burgers I've ever had in my ENTIRE LIFE! The fries are perfectly crispy and seasoned just right, plus the drink selection is amazing! 5/5 will be going out of my way to come back again. We visited for the first time on a very busy afternoon/evening (MSU homecoming game) with 45+ minute wait times for a table and the food still came out great in a timely manner.
Boogy W — Google review
I can not say enough great things about our visit here! We were in East Lansing for work and my kids wanted to go out to dinner that same night. Hop Cat was within walking distance of our hotel. Our server Jacob was phenomenal! He was quite possibly the best server we have ever had. He was very patient with us while we were looking at the food menu and reviewing the drink menu. He offered many suggestions drink wise. Jacob also helped my fiancé find his “unicorn” beer (Toppling Goliath Sosus to be exact) later during our dinner. He recommended the raspberry basil meowgarita to me which was delicious. Our food arrived perfectly! We ordered an appetizer and a few sandwiches/burgers. Everything was hot and fresh. My sons really enjoyed the Buffalo Mac and Cheese and Rodeo Clown burger with loaded fries. Their cosmik fries are always a hit! Highly recommend coming to this location!

The Impossible Burger (Veg) is awesome 🔥. I'm now a HopCat Fan. It's tasty and wow. 🥲 Please introduce 1 or 2 more Vegetarian options in each of the menu section... I want to come here every week 😭.

Attempted to order on DoorDash and all ordering was closed so we called into the restaurant. The hostess was really nice at first, but took a really long time. We were on hold for a while when she came back she had a terrible attitude took our order. got the order right but the order coming from the kitchen came out terribly Wrong. My burger was very undercooked with absolutely none of the toppings and I paid for the meal and its entirety, as you can understand I’d be really frustrated by this. There were a lot of things missing from our order and the quality wasn’t that Good.

The Soup Spoon Café is a charming and vibrant eatery that serves up delicious homemade soups, along with a diverse menu of comforting homestyle dishes and regional beers. It's a great spot to enjoy a cozy breakfast or lunch, offering a delightful dining experience rather than just a meal. With its inviting atmosphere and flavorful offerings, it's definitely worth a visit for those looking for an authentic culinary experience in Lansing.
Soup Spoon Café delivers a delightful dining experience. Service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and efficient. The atmosphere is fun with just the right touch of quirky charm. The menu offers a wide variety, making it hard to choose (in the best way). Everything we tried was well-prepared and delicious. We left happy and already planning our next visit.

This is an interesting place. My breakdown is as follows. Food wise, there are choices for everyone. The important thing to remember is that it is a café. I believe some items are very basic and others exceptional. I tried the seafood soup and it was one of the best I've ever had and is one of maybe two or three they sell year round others are rotational. Yet my club sandwhich though tasty was basic. The service is very good for how busy it can get. I advise getting reservations especially on the weekend. The atmosphere is what makes it a popular place. It is well lit and the wall color schemes made me feel like I was in an Italian wine cellar with whites and light browns. A great place for wine and conversation or catching up with a friend.
Grant F — Google review
If you are near MSU this is a great spot for comfort food. The Ruben sandwich was very good. It was not piled high with corned beef which made it more enjoyable. The staff are no nonsense and right to the point. Great looking menu with lots of choices.
Food_from_the_usa — Google review
We love the Soup Spoon. It is a local restaurant featuring made from scratch entrees. Their breakfast is awesome and so is pretty much all of their food. We were in for lunch. They also have a nice drink menu and I got a banana bread old fashioned. A nice twist on a classic drink. Their soups are so good and so are their sandwiches.
Andy S — Google review
A place where everyone is treated like family and the food brings you comfort! Immediately upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with warm smiles and a great conversation with the manager/owner, who ended up bringing us a taste of Greek liquor! Our server was efficient and kind, constantly checking in on us. Food-wise, it was phenomenal. The seafood chowder was delicious and my seasonal pasta was super filling and overall a top pasta dish. Could not recommend this place more for a stop into Lansing, whether you’re here to visit MSU or are just passing through! It’s a place that makes everyone feel like they’re home and the food/service certainly reflects that!

Heard about the road closure in front affecting business, so I decided to eat there show some love their way. Clearly, while less crowded than the time I went four years ago, business is still doing good-and so is their food. Had a San Fran Bennie (Benedict) and did not disappoint. Eggs cooked perfectly with perfectly seasoned hollandaise alongside a thin hash brown made with a little extra crunch, just how I like it. The chefs know what they’re doing. While I rarely go to restaurants-this is a gem of a restaurant in Lansing (do not miss!)

Big shout-out to Lexi at Soup Spoon Cafe! 🌟 Her outstanding customer service and infectious smile made our breakfast extra special. Oh, and the food? Absolutely delicious! 😋 Thanks for the amazing experience! #CustomerServiceStar #SoupAndSpoon”

Our lunch Rueben was sparse on meats and cheese, but flavorful overall. The menu itself seems busy but on inspection none seemed overly appetizing or seasoned in a way that piqued my appetite. Very clean and brightly lit. Nice, capable servers. Plenty of refills of water and tea.

Crunchy's, a long-standing dive bar in East Lansing, has been a local favorite for over 35 years. Despite its old-school charm, the bar keeps up with the times by offering an impressive selection of 27 craft beers on tap. Known for serving some of the best burgers in town, Crunchy's also hosts lively karaoke nights every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It's a popular spot to catch a game and soak up the college spirit.
Favorite bar food in East Lansing! Our server did a great job accommodating the needs of such a large group! I almost missed out on pictures but here’s a sample of some tasty items available!

I have a lot of friends that went to Michigan State and Crunchys was a go to spot for them. I finally made it in for lunch. It was a great spot for Burgers, Tots and Beer. Great college hang out. Food was good for sure.
Andy S — Google review
Always something for everyone. Ample menu and everything is fantastic! If you're thirsty there is a huge drink selection from a full bar, seasonal flavored shots to a nice selection of micro-brews. Depending on time of day, it is excellent choice for families but nearer late hours much more pub-only. The only downside is parking which can be lacking and a bit tricky as the main parking lot is not owned by Crunchy's so you will need to park in Paid parking nearer the Community Park in the rear. Overall, Crunchy's continues to be the bomb!
Msu M — Google review
Atmosphere and service great, friendly and welcoming, no problems all around; only problem was I ordered a chili cheeseburger and it was served basically on its side, with all the toppings quickly running off of it, on a tiny basket. Was physically difficult to eat, even with a knife and fork, despite the fact that it was very good. Would recommend switching to larger plates or baskets.
E B — Google review
So I have been here a couple times, and I thought the food was OK. My burger was pretty good. I wish it was seasoned more and cooked the way I want it, but this is a Burger and beer place. I wasn’t too happy about the parking situation because you have to park behind the building. My girlfriend and I ended up getting a parking ticket while we were having our lunch, so be mindful of your parking. The service was excellent but let’s just say I’ve had better burgers.
Andrew R — Google review
I pulled up to Crunchy's not too long before kitchen closed so I was given the option of fried foods only, but at least I had the option! The Cajun tater tots were delicious! Our server was very kind and attentive. The vibe was fun. Had a great time. Karaoke!!!
Kerra W — Google review
Went here for the first time for lunch after moving my daughter onto campus. Food was excellent, our server was fantastic and I really liked the handful of pinball machines!! The really only downfall was finding the entrance. It took a few minutes as its not clearly marked due to the layout of the building. But other than that spot on!!
Josh K — Google review
Went for karaoke with friends we waited about 35 min for a table. The bbq pork sliders bucket was really good but was not impressed with the loaded tots needed seasoning. As far as going for karaoke I won't go for that. The song selection was very limited. I would go back for the food though.

Located in the Stadium District, Lansing Brewing Company is a historic brewery that has been operating for over a century, making it one of the oldest in the capital city. It has played a significant role in supplying beer to builders and locals alike. With its rich history and prime location, Lansing Brewing Company has become a popular destination for beer enthusiasts.
Fun brew pub experience in downtown Lansing! Good beer and good selection. The food is good too but the food menu has gotten a lot smaller even from a year ago.
Eric S — Google review
I want to preface this review by saying that my wife and I are currently mug club members at LBC and really loved this place at first. It actually sucks to give such a low review to a place I really wanted to love. But everytime we go in we are met by poorly trained staff and wrong hours. We met an old friend we haven’t seen in years here for dinner or at the very least a drink last Sunday at 5pm and we were met with a LOCKED front door. There was still customers eating outside and inside so we stood out front for a few minutes thinking someone would come along. Nope, no one did. They desperately need to get their hours right. Seems like everytime I’ve gone in the past couple of months they’ve been wrong. We ended up going down the road to sidecar slider bar where the food and drinks aren’t nearly as good as LBC but at least the servers know what they’re actually doing and we were served promptly. Also I called today to see about the promo they have posted on their Facebook pictured below. I’ve been wanting to try their Oktoberfest and figured if I could get a cool tacker sign with it that would be pretty sweet. When I asked I was put on hold for roughly 5 minutes just to be told “the contest ends tomorrow, then we will decide the winner of that”. I told the young lady you must of misunderstood me. It’s a sign you get with a 6 pack. It’s posted on Facebook. She said “oh! Facebook! Let me ask again” was put on hold again and when she came back she brought up the same exact contest. Clearly in the photo you can see this is not a “contest”. Seems every visit to LBC over the last couple months has been plagued with terrible training and confusion. My wife and I went roughly a month ago and the server had absolutely no idea that there was specials on the menu, and also had no idea the mug club even existed?? I had to explain to her, as the customer what the mug club was. Why? I really loved LBC at first, and had every intention of buying more merch and being a lifetime customer/club member. It felt like they really cared about Lansing, its history, and its people. But now it feels like just another corporation and their customers are just dollar signs to them.
Steven L — Google review
Fun, downtown brewery close to the Lugnuts Stadium and the Capitol. Seating was plenty, both indoors and outdoors. The food was delicious with a variety of menu items to choose from. We enjoyed the Spartan Dip and Garlic Parmesan Bread Bites for appetizers. For dinner, we had everything from the Sweet Potato Salad, Ribeye, Mac & Cheese, Chef Salad, to the Chicken Tenders. Service was a bit lacking. It was difficult to get our waitresses attention, and then when we were ready for the bill, we saw her clock out and leave. It was until about 10 minutes later another person from behind the bar came to our table and when we asked if she had left, we were told she could leave because it was slow and that tips are shared. It wasn't slow, and our 2 other tables of 4+ experienced this.
Samantha G — Google review
Not a busy place Sunday at noon. Our server (Peter) did a great job of taking care of us. I was a little disappointed in the limited menu, but I sure do understand that staffing a full kitchen for a slow Sunday is tough, too. We enjoyed watching some football during lunch and had a game of corn hole outside before we left. Great time!
Correy S — Google review
Spacious venue with adequate food and below average beer. It's said that it's difficult to do both beer and food well, but Lansing Brewing Company has settled for doing both in a rather mediocre fashion. Of the beers I tried the Mexican lager was probably the best, with the Vienna lager in second. The ales are not very good. They could probably go a longer distance with a good staff, but their servers are more interested in socializing at the bar than tending to their tables. A server should never be literally seated at the bar talking while they have open tickets.
Andy G — Google review
Our first visit and we chose to sit at the bar so we could ask about the various beers. The beers we tried were very good and their cocktail menu looked good too. Ordered a burger and it was large, juicy and delicious, but a little messy. We were not given or offered any silverware or napkins when our food came. I kept stealing the little drink bar napkins until I finally got the servers attention to ask for a real napkin. Big service miss in my eyes especially since it was not very busy and we were always right there in front of the two people behind the bar.
Barbara J — Google review
Typical gastro pub. Food is not as important to most patrons as the drinks. Not that the food is bad, just average while the choices in each category is more limited than a normal restaurant. I tried the shrimp mac and cheese since I was told it wasn't spicy. It was spicy and the shrimp was on the side. Another in our party got the rock shrimp since she was told it wasn't spicy and had to take the breading off to eat it. Music a little loud, but still able to hear that people at the table. They seem to have lots of seating but on busy times you should get a reservation.
E. S — Google review
We came here in the mid afternoon and it was pretty quiet. We sat down and waited to be greeted by a server for over 10 minutes, ordered our drinks and then we had a new server. We were pretty happy with the new server, she was friendly and attentive and was attentive tonwhen our drinks were getting low. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was really nice.

Pizza House is a spacious pizzeria located near Michigan State University, offering a relaxed dining experience and specializing in Chicago and traditional-style pizza. It's an ideal spot for group gatherings or birthday celebrations, with a kids' menu featuring options like BBQ ribs, spaghetti and meatballs, macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders, and cheese pizza. While known for its pizzas, the restaurant also impresses with its chicken alfredo made with in-house alfredo sauce.
I came into town and was starving!!! The hotel Candlewood Suites on MSU campus highly recommended y’all. I ordered the spinach artichoke dip and a BBQ Shrimp pizza (I don’t eat meat) and it was amazing !!! I wish they had a location in Atlanta !!! Highly recommend. Max P. Was my server and I wish everyone was like him

Absolutely amazing pizza. Everytime we want good pizza, this is the spot. Last night we got cheesy flatbread for an appetizer and it was phenomenal. Crispy with a perfect amout of cheese. We also got the house special, in a Chicago deep dish. First time trying the deep dish, but we were not dissapointed. If I could find any complaints, the price is high, but it comes with amazing food. Also, the pizza could have used a bit more sauce, but I didn't ask for extra, so that was on me. I absolutely love coming to this place and will be back for sure. Absolutely best pizza ive found.
Tony G — Google review
Food was good; we had a stuffed House Special pizza. It was prepared well and came out hot. Service was good once we got some. We were seated immediately but it took forever for our waitress to show up and no one even acknowledged we were waiting. I'm quite patient in these situations. But even I was just about to get up and go look for an employee when the waitress finally arrived at our table. Prices seemed high, probably because the pizza toppings are charged individually on top of the base price for cheese only and that adds up quickly. Cost per item goes up with the size of the pizza. Toppings were plentiful but the check is likely to end up higher than you anticipate.
Ari A — Google review
Came into Pizza House on a quiet Saturday evening to enjoy some pizza with my mom—and can I just say, it was amazing! I ordered the spinach artichoke dip and my mom got the classic pepperoni , and it was EVERYTHING. Max P. was our server, and he was so kind and attentive. If I lived in town, I’d definitely be a regular!

As the social coordinator for our youth soccer club, I am always looking for venues welcoming of large groups (and lots of kids), which is not always easy. Pizza House is the perfect place to host a group outing! The GM, Jeremy, was quick to respond to my initial inquiry and was helpful coordinating the details of our event. The staff were timely, responsive, and dedicated to our group. The food was hot and ready for us upon arrival, which was helpful for our squirrely bunch. Overall, I was impressed and thankful for our experience, and would definitely recommend to others!
Allison A — Google review
Pizza was amazing, and the bar/Resturant looked even better. I ordered the thin crust traditional cheese and pepperoni. I’ll for sure come back here in East Lansing
Kyle S — Google review
Huge menu with lots of choices outside of pizza, if that's not your thing. Great atmosphere with plenty of screens to watch various sports. So again, while it's called Pizza House, it's not just pizza. Looking for beer? Yes, they have that too. Do you like pizza, beer and sports? You found it, right here. There's also a gym very close that I'm sure is nice to check out. Just know that if you're going to go to the gym, you'll likely hear the Pizza House calling your name afterwards or beforehand. Please come prepared.

Our reunion committee chose to host our 45th class reunion at Pizza House. It was an excellent choice! We opted to have the pizza, salad and dessert option, and everything was delicious! We had a private section that was comfortable and intimate. We had 2 servers that were very attentive and helpful that kept up with drinks for 40 people, and checked with us to see if we needed anything. I highly recommend Pizza House for your next event or gathering!

The Peanut Barrel is a classic American bar and grill located in East Lansing, MI. It's known for its great food, including the signature Olive Burger and Long Island Iced Teas. The outdoor patio offers scenic river views, making it a popular spot for locals and Michigan State University alumni. With its fun and friendly environment, this late-night bar always has awesome deals and is well-preserved in the memories of countless patrons.
For decades this place has been making great burgers and chicken sandwiches. Much easier to get outdoor seating when the students are out of town. Every time I pass through town I stop here. Mild pepper burger with fries. Delicious. And the traditional long island iced tea. Staff very friendly.

This place has super basic but super good fries! Two of the burgers pictured are “baby burgers,” they were not so baby, I definitely loved that. Small menu but good food! Lots of up-charges for add-ons, either way, service was great. Had a great time in the sun today!
Paulina H — Google review
The Peanut Barrel is located in a lively spot near the university, so the atmosphere is always buzzing with energy. The menu covers all the basic food options, making it a reliable choice for a casual meal. We tried the Chicken Shroom Burger and the Reuben Sandwich — both tasted fine, though not particularly outstanding. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the experience pleasant overall. 👍🏼
Rupashree M — Google review
I had heard about The Peanut Barrel and how it has been a longtime staple in East Lansing and decided to give it a try! The Peanut Barrel is a no-frills type of place with a simple menu that generally delivers what you’d expect. The burger lunch special is a good value and I found it to be pretty satisfying. The restaurant itself is a bit dingy but some might say it has character; it sort of reminds me of what being on campus would have been like 40 years ago. Nonetheless, the service was good, the food was fairly solid, and the price was fair. Just keep in mind that there are a lot of little up charges for things like burger toppings. Sometimes you just need a simple burger and The Peanut Barrel delivers just that!
Brandon's V — Google review
I personally dislike when a burger patty doesn't cover the entire bun, leaving you with nothing but bread for the last bites. While the crispy, burned cheese that fell from the patty may appeal to some, it wasn't for me. The waitresses seemed tired and unhappy, which was reflected in the service. We were also told to expect a 30-minute wait for our food, which felt excessively long for a menu consisting of simple burgers, salads, and handhelds. It was probably not their best day.
Javier M — Google review
The burgers never disappoint—always juicy and flavorful. The fries are perfectly crispy and evenly cooked. The patio atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, right in the heart of Michigan State’s campus. It always brings a wave of nostalgia for alumni, making it a favorite spot to relive college memories over great food. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💚🤍

Zoobie's Old Town Tavern is a trendy spot located on Cesar E. Chavez Ave, known for its custom cocktails, craft beers, and gourmet wood-fired pizzas from its sister venue, The Cosmos. The tavern offers a chilled and friendly atmosphere that attracts a cool crowd. One of the unique features is the 'trust' drink or 'trust' pizza where they ask about your preferences and create something based on that.
Super fun place. Duck fat fries were awesome. Wife and I shared meatball sliders and pulled pork sliders. Both excellent! Great tap options too. Holly, the bartender, was amazing at keeping up on everything in the dining area while being attentive to us that belly up to the bar. Kudos Zoobies!

My husband and I went in for a drink. Very good service; they had quite a few draft Michigan beer. We did not eat here yet but I am told, their pizza and fries are awesome. We will come back to try the food. Very quaint atmosphere 👌. I liked it!

We stopped in here to have drinks and pizza from Cosmos which is connected. The inside is small and has a great charm to it. It can get noisier due to the small size but plenty of tables for standing or sitting. Amazing beer selection and full bar for cocktails. I will always try the "just trust us" drink option.

Friend I was visiting suggested this place, and I’m glad he did. Great selection of beers, awesome service, and I tried the “#9” Pizza, and let’s just say I’ll never forget it. I don’t give many foods a 10/10 but that masterpiece of a pizza earned it.

Great location, lots on the menu to choose from, cute and unique building. The Marge Pizza is yummy along with Mock Cocktails. Thanks, we will be back!

We stopped here to have a beer and to check out the establishment, the small group of us had never been there. They have no domestic beer it’s it’s all craft beers which is very good. It’s very small and they have a very small menu in the bar area. However next-door they have a restaurant attachment but it’s more noted for the pizza. The service was very good and I would definitely recommend this for a stop and drink while in town. Please hit “Like” if this was helpful. Thanks.

Great place!!! Unique and eclectic food. Was served fresh, hot and was DELICIOUS. FREE parking in the rear. Places is connected to Cosmos Old Town and shares a kitchen. Come here and try the pizza’s. You will NOT be disappointed. Waitresses were friendly and the place was clean!!!

I came in around an hour before closing. So I order this seafood dish and tell them to please do not add the peppers to the sauce to which the bartender agreed stating that that would not be a problem. So my meal comes out half the oysters werent open and would t open and the sauce was super loaded with hot peppers. So I then point out the fact that the sauce was full of heat and peppers to which she responded "I know" Wow Very disrespectful and openly disregarding me as a customer. I guess others have had better luck from reading other reviews. But anytime a resteraunt ignores a customers food requests and lie about it im concerned for safety set around alergies etc. Bad experence!

Nestled in the heart of East Lansing, Harrison Roadhouse is a vibrant bar and grill that captures the essence of a lively gathering spot. With an impressive selection of craft beers on tap and a menu brimming with hearty pub fare, it’s no wonder this establishment draws both students and locals alike. The inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a game day experience. Guests can also take advantage of the spacious patio, ideal for soaking up some sun while sipping on house cocktails.
We had my son and soon-to-be daughter-in-law’s wedding rehearsal dinner here. The managers were so easy to work with! We chose 5 options from their menu to create a short menu for our guests, so each guest could order what they wanted from that menu. The special menus were beautifully designed using the wedding colors. We had several guests who needed gluten food options, and 4 of the 5 options on our menu were gluten free or had a gluten free option for it (GF buns and pasta are available open request) We were in the Glass House out the front of the restaurant, which was beautiful, and private. They had just gotten new tables and flooring, too. The food was excellent!! MANY of our guests commented about how good the food was. We had a server dedicated to just our group. They communicated well and allowed us to decide how we wanted dinner to go. I HIGHLY recommend Harrison Roadhouse!!!!

Not a bad restaurant by any means. The food is good, though I think it is a bit on the pricey side most things over $15... the inside was nice and cool on a hot day and the outside of the restaurant is taken care of with flowers etc. The front door could be labled better though. Would definitely eat here again. The onion rings were perfect.

The only good thing about my time at the roadhouse was my server. The food was absoultely disgusting. The bun was hard as a rock burnt, the hamburger tasted like wet cardboard. It was supposed to be an olive burger, but not enough olives to taste them. The fries were burned. The wait for the food was over 30 minutes which was a lot for a place that was empty inside with only a few people outside. The table I sat at was gross, it was sticky with debri on it. The server wiped it down and it still was sticky and gross. The mustard bottle at the table had dried mustard on the cap. The interior in general looked dirty and ran down. I dont recommend Harrison Roadhouse and will nkt be returning.

Had an engagement party on the patio, staff was friendly and food was great! Only reason for 2 stars on food is they were unable to accommodate a vegan diet as they ran out of their black bean burgers.

My director and I ordered lunch to-go today from Harrison Roadhouse, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Emily took my order over the phone and was incredibly kind and helpful. I had asked for the food to be ready by a specific time so my director could pick it up after a meeting, and Emily went above and beyond—she even called back when there was a slight delay to let us know the order was ready and to make sure it wouldn’t get cold. The Nashville hot sandwich was delicious—crispy, flavorful, and held up great despite being in a to-go container. The fries were excellent, and my director really enjoyed her nachos. We’ll definitely be ordering from Harrison Roadhouse again!

Dublin Square is a charming upscale Irish pub that brings a slice of Ireland to East Lansing, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy delicious food and drinks. With its stunning hand-carved mahogany bar, this lively venue offers an enticing menu filled with classic pub grub like signature sausages and fried calamari. The atmosphere buzzes with energy, especially during weekends or game days when patrons flock in for great music from live bands and DJs.
Very good food considering they’re going through a change in the kitchen. Not a bad variety of beers on tap, have all of the Irish classics. Amazing atmosphere with a lot of space. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

A group of Indian students went to the dublin square to enjoy. After an hour, the security guard came to one of our friends and forced our friend out of the bar for no reason. The security guard also used extremely raciest words when he was forcing us out of the bar. We all paid for the food and drinks, he snatched the drinks from our hands. The guard was raciest to us. We also felt the same when we’re entering. I strongly recommend not to go to the place.

Besides the husband saying the chips were bland, the food was great. My 12 yr old said he didn't like the Cole slaw, and he also said the fish and chips was great(hes picky)The local beers were amazing ! There was no wait and our booth was clean. It was a very pub like atmosphere and it was nice. Will come again though without the kids.

I visited Dublin Square with some friends, and unfortunately, we had a very upsetting experience. While we were enjoying ourselves on the nearly empty dance floor—especially appreciating the super cool DJ who played Hindi songs for us—things suddenly took a turn for the worse. A few of us stepped outside for some fresh air, and to our shock, a security staff member physically pushed and forced us out without any explanation. Along with others, he made abusive and racist remarks toward us and took all our drinks, including water for which we paid. He literally said "We want you out of my property" and for the sake of dignity, I won’t repeat the other comments, as they were full of offensive slurs. We were left stunned and confused, with no understanding of what exactly happened. What was meant to be a fun night turned into a distressing and humiliating experience. We truly regret choosing this venue and hope no one else has to go through something similar. I would have given negative stars if possible and I don't care about the quality of the food, the place and the people were equally disgusting.

We came on Fourth of July. It was busy. We’ve had a string of bad customer service lately. Not here! Our waitress was prompt and polite. Our drinks never ran out. She checked in routinely. Our order was correct. My youngest son said they were the best nachos ever! Every employee was polite and smiling even though we know it was busy. Excellent job. Thank you for making this a good experience even on a holiday!!

My husband and I came here for a drink and bite to eat. It has a large table area with a bar. You can go through to another room with the bar continuing. There are pool tables here and a few tables. All in all, nice sports bar. The drinks were good and not very expensive. They also have happy hour specials. The only beef we had was the food. The food is okay but way too expensive for the quality. The dishes should be anywhere from 2 to 4 dollars less. I liked the place but my husband didn't like it as well. The server was prompt and very nice -- Elizabeth.

I've gone here once a year for three years because it is just across the street from the Lansing Center, where the Capital City Con is held, and it honestly perplexes me that every time, the Nuthouse has been less than 1/4 full. This place is great! The seating is comfortable and spacious, the lighting is not nearly as gloomy as is typical for sports bars, the service is always friendly and timely, and the menu has an ample variety of enticing fare. It's a great place to relax with friends and family. I'm tempted to give this one five stars, with the one thing holding me back being that the quality of the food, though very good, is not at that top tier level. I wish I had a good excuse to eat here more often.

This restaurant is REALLY dirty! I took a motor coach group (43 people) to this restaurant last week. It was a complete mess from start to finish. This reservation was made well in advance and the menu was limited to make feeding that many people easier but it still took 2 1/2 hours to get food for my group with a handful of people taking their food to go so we could get home at a reasonable time. The restaurant was extremely dirty....so much so that you actually stuck to the floors! The woman's restroom was absolutely disgusting!!! I wanted to shower after leaving that room! We had one server who wasn't very friendly, especially when people started to get angry about how long they were waiting. (Another girl helped occasionally but wasn't our server and only showed up twice, once to help with drink orders and again to run some food out.) I will never go back and recommend this place to no one.
Laura C — Google review
This has always been one of my favorite places ever since I began working downtown. The Jack Daniel's meatballs are phenomenal. Whenever I get back in state now (not nearly often enough), this is a must stop. This last visit, however, left a lot to be desired. We received Eric as a waiter, and he was rude from the very beginning. We were greeted with "what do you want for drinks?", no hello or preamble. More than once, while asking him a question, he would simply walk away and disappear while we were talking to him. When my wife asked to speak to the manager, she was told no. The place was not busy when we arrived, although it began to pick up before we finished, so there was no excuse for his being so unprofessional. The other ladies helping out as people started coming in were awesome in caring for their tables, which is what we're used to when coming here. Just an all-around lousy experience because of this guy.

Me and 2 others, went here for a bite to eat before a baseball game. There's only 3 of us and we ordered wings egg rolls. Took like 30 minutes for all of that. Finally when we get are food, my father tries the fries and immediately says there horrible and are feel like chewing rubber. My wings were super dry. And all of that cost $60!!! Worst place I've been too.

Sides too small, waited 45 minutes until food arrived, mold on nachos, nasty food in general, server was not good and messed up our tracks, and everyone is sick! The only good thing was walking out.
Savannah — Google review
One of the best spots to go eat, meet up and chill regardless of what's going on. On a recent visit we had a bunch of the small size pizzas and a huge salad. I wouldn't call it gourmet but it was tasty, maybe a lil overdone but it wouldn't stop me from ordering again. Nuthouse is an everybody friendly place. After eating we sat out on the patio/deck because it was a beautiful day. If you like people watching you'll enjoy it especially on game days. The ballpark is just across the street which is where everyone seemed to be bustling to.

This was the first restaurant to catch our attention when looking for nearby options. We were not disappointed! The atmosphere is comfortable, Staff was friendly and personable.. also, important to me- not fake. True personalities and I appreciate that. They even gave great recommendations on menu choices and even other things to do nearby. The food and drinks are 🫶🥰🤌 We noticed that everyone at the bar was eating sushi, which helped us decide, maybe that was the way to go on their versatile menu of American and Asian cuisine. No regrets. I would eat there weekly if I lived in town. I will be craving their food! I will be making a 4 hour trip soon just for this experience, alone. Thank you!

Awesome place for food or drinks, large parties or small. I highly recommend the Crab Rangoon Dip. The cheese on top is wonderful and complements the crab perfectly. Terrific sushi rolls. The Great Wall and the Yummy Crunch were amazing.

I don't really know how to describe it, it's not really my cup of tea when it comes to the menu. So I'm not sure exactly how to describe it other than to say Eastern type of menu. Alot of fish sushi that type of thing. But they do, do a good job with their burgers never had their hanger steak but I'm quite sure it's tasty based on the things I have had here. Anyway they do a real nice job with the front porch. You'd never believed that sitting on top of five heavily moving streets in boulevards in a big shopping center across the street that goes down into a valley! Very pleasant atmosphere considering all that's just on the other side of the blinders and as you can see from the pictures inside is fairly stylish and classy.

Decent establishment but I won’t be back. My wife and I went here on a date recently. The food was good but not really standout, generic upscale bar food that is only separate from lower priced options due to the ingredients being of higher quality, but those elevated ingredients were not prepared in an elevated manner. I could have made that at home for half the cost. Portions were reasonable. Service was okay. Waiter was helpful enough but not particularly friendly. The host also moved us to a different table because they needed the table for a bigger party which wasn’t a huge deal but was still an inconvenience. The ambiance is somewhere between a more upscale establishment and a bar and it almost works but ends ultimately feels just a little jumbled.

The whole experience was great. They were able to accommodate our large group in the bar area. We went at a perfect time, there was literally zero wait. Everything was great. The food was made to order from scratch, even the kids chicken tenders were made from a batter! The sushi, hibachi, burgers, wings, Mac and cheese were honestly delish. The only complaint was the nachos and loaded fries were extremely spicy, but still good overall. Great options for my vegetarian, and she enjoyed her dish. The adult beverages were fantastic! The variety of beers was a nice touch. Parking is tight, and located on a very busy street. Overall will definitely be back when in East Lansing.

Stopped in on my way out of Lansing for lunch. The service was prompt, initially, and I got my beer within a couple minutes of sitting down. The beer was cold, though I wasn't a fan of the flavor, no problem there, though. My second beer choice kicked a few seconds after pouring, so i had to go for the third option. Alright, it is what it is. I ordered the chicken tikka masala with naan. It was tragic. Like a non-Indians first attempt at tikka masla at home, from a recipe they found on an online blog posted by someone who wasn't Indian. It was thin, with big tomato chunks, unmarinated strips of chicken instead of chunks, the wrong flavor profile from the spices, wrong color, and the saddest naan I've ever seen that would have been better from Walmart. It was also accompanied with plain white rice. Not even basmati. I've been to every corner fo the USA, and I've ate Tikka Masala in more cities than I can count. This was the worst by far. BY FAR. Also, at $21, it was one of the most expensive tikka masala's I've ever had, and THE smalles5 portion I've ever had. I took 3 bites, pushed it to the end of the bar, and 10-15 minutes later the bartender asks: "Do you want a box?" I laughed and asked for the check.
West C — Google review
I saw another review say that it's just upscale bar food. If you order bar food, you'll get upscale bar food, and holy crap is it good! Get the fried pickle spears, you won't be disappointed. (Cask and co. Please don't change this item ever!) Service - Wayne was just what we needed after a stressful and exhausting week. He was attentive, and came back to check on everything multiple times. His food and drink recommendations hit the spot! It's rare that waitstaff have opinions with real descriptions. You could tell that he really liked the food he was recommending. Cask and Co is doing something right if they are letting their staff taste and enjoy everything. The result is a server like Wayne that cares and is engaged with their customers. Ok, now on to what we had. The sushi is oh so good, the basic spicy tuna, careful, it really does have some heat :-) I like spicy, so I would recommend this basic roll. The Marco Polo sushi roll was fantastic! The olive burger was great, a bit too much cream cheese, I would prefer an olive tapenade, but holy crap was that thing cooked perfectly. Normally, I don't eat fries, but these were really good. For drinks, Mee Maws Sipper which is a bourbon cocktail and it was my favorite. (It comes with the orchid) Leo's love - My partners favorite, it's him and minty and pretty tasty. Fancy Gin Cocktail - This one is Gin and St. Germaine and had some bubbles and was an excellent cocktail for the summer! Come here if you get the chance, you won't be disappointed and the money is worth spending. Tip well for good service, they deserve it.

Decided to try this for my sons Graduation day dinner and it did not disappoint. Fun atmosphere! We probably ordered everything on the menu with our large party and it was all delicious! Service was great! Poor staff had to deal with a very loud nasty customer and still didn't miss a beat. Has to be said! You don't have to apologize for other people's ugliness. Even the younger people in her party could be heard staying behind and insisting on paying for everyone's drinks they'd had and apologizing for her behavior. Thanks Harper's for making our special day awesome! We'll be back!

I should have listened to the Google reviews. It was at 3.6 stars. I went here because every other place had a wait and it was full of OSU fans on game day. $5 cover to get in and there wasn't even a band or anything. The gratuity is automatically put on every bill and they make you close out after every food or drink you order. Very odd. Bar tenders would take an empty bottle and not offer to refill it. Got the nachos and they were about the worst I've ever had. Like someone went to the grocery store and got the ingredients then dumped it on a tray and microwaved it 10 sec to melt the cheese. They do brew their own beer and the one I tried was decent.

Now requires everyone to put their drink on a table before entering the bathroom ( due to people disposing drinks in toilet causing plumbing issues) but has a man watch the table. As a woman: I would not come back due to the possibility of getting roofied. It is not safe for a woman to have a untrusted man watch your drink. Complained to management : was told they have cameras sorry sir but I’d rather not get roofied then have to go back to review the cameras to see who roofied me. Get rid of the table and instead hand tickets to those who have drinks and collect ticket after they are done if they bring their drink back out. This is ridiculous and unsafe for a college campus

Disappointing. I went in to look around on graduation weekend. All the other area bars were full. This bar had me, 2 bartenders, and a restaurant manager. Floors were sticky. So sticky you could hear each footstep as you pulled your shoe out of the gunk. Bathrooms were filthy, and that’s with nobody in the place. There was a 3 foot by 5 foot puddle of water on the floor in front of the DJ booth against the wall by the bathrooms. I ordered one of the house beers. $5.25 and a plastic cup later, I was told they didn’t have any change in the bar cash drawers. None at all. This was at 4:30 pm on a Thursday, so it’s not like they had just opened. Took about 10 minutes for the manager to get a cash drawer for the bartender. Gross, sloppy practices, and I surely won’t be back.

Wings and Long island ice tea for lunch- both subpar, sadly. Wings slathered in BBQ after being cooked, not good. Long island couldn't even taste the alcohol. The house made crab rangoons were good but for nearly $40 I expected to feel a buzz and eat good food, oops my bad.

Worst experience I ever had. It was my son‘s graduation. We went in with nine people. No one was there when we got there at 3:30. It took about 15 minutes to 20 minutes to get our drinks. He had to print off a new menus for us to order off of. We ordered and then he collected all the menus and took it to another table about six or seven people, we waited another hour and 20 minutes and then he came out with the other people’s food before ours and said he was waiting on a pizza for our order which we never ordered a pizza. Worst service I’ve ever had. I don’t recommend this place to anybody. Couldn’t even bring out our appetizers. So they lost my business and about $300 in a food order.

Being kicked out for working at a “competing” bar is just sad and not a justified reason to do this especially someone who wasn’t doing anything wrong and is over 21. Very rude people who work here and the cleaning conditions would make you want to throw up. I’ve seen that kitchen and would not recommend a thing!

First time in the pub and Mary and Marcus treated me like a regular! When they found out it was my 1st time in Lansing they provided me with many insights into the city and even mapped out an itinerary for me. The beer and bourbon selections are great, the food from the BBQ place next door was excellent (they even brought it to me in the bar when it was ready!), and the conversation was the best part of my visit. They even treated my Scottie (Cash) like one of the family. This place is a gem!!

The REO town pub is the best bar in Lansing—scratch that—the world. Don’t believe me? I’m sorry, you know a different bar that has hand carved wooden spoons for sale in the back of house? How about steak night on Wednesdays? What about the drink-it-forward board? Grow up. Grow up and order a hotdog, to go with your complimentary popcorn. I didn’t even mention the bartenders? Grow up. Five stars.

I went there last night and my bill was $10.50 for two shots i still have my receipt. I tipped $3 (my friend had already tipped $15) this should make the total $13.50 I was charged last night 02/14/2025 $10.92, ??and again today 02/15/2025 $7??? As somebody who serves and bartends did somebody mess something up and tip themselves $7??? Not to be a b but $18 tip for two bills that came out $20… thought that was enough apparently not

Great place for cocktails and beer. Typically, there is no food. Staff is super friendly and drinks are cost efficient. It's worth a stop if you're looking for a good cocktail! They do occasionally have steak on Wednesday, but get there early as it goes fast!

Wednesday night steak night is the best! Also enjoy just having a beer there but you can't beat being there Wednesdays.

So glad to have dinner and good company this Wednesday evening (10/13/21) at REO TownPub. Nice decent fall weather, a nicely cooked, well-seasoned NY strip, complete with baked potato slathered in butter and crisp & sweet Caesar salad, and plenty of cold water to wash it all down. For $15, it was definitely a great bang-for-your-buck meal... Only on Wednesdays. And TYSVM, Ryan Schaefer, for the bug in my ear! #FoodieDreams #GreatMidWeekDinner #EatLocal

Hooked is a charming bookstore with a diverse selection of books that manages to create a cozy and indie atmosphere. The place offers a variety of coffee, tea, and wine, as well as an appealing menu. What sets it apart are the community events that bring people of all ages and backgrounds together. Additionally, it's appreciated for being queer-allied and stocking local goods.
Hooked is the perfect spot for coffee lovers! The coffee is fantastic, and the cozy atmosphere, surrounded by books and games, makes it an ideal place to relax or hang out with friends. Whether you’re looking to unwind with a good read or enjoy some fun games, this place has it all. A true gem for coffee and comfort!
Prateek S — Google review
Hooked is a cozy library cafe where you can order some pastries, coffee or small foods to enjoy your comfort and working with your laptop or studying. Their almond croissant and Golden Milk Latte was okay but not my favourite, but definitely recommend it if you stay near to check it out and find your spot for a better focused time for your personal experience.
ARI K — Google review
I really love coming here! The drinks aren’t too expensive and they’re always so cute and fun. I love browsing the books while here and the staff are always so nice :-) the food is a bit pricy for what you get, I would just stick to ordering drinks or pastries here in the future
Alexandria D — Google review
A little overpriced - but I keep coming back! The food and drinks are great, the staff is always pleasant AND helpful, and they've got a nice selection of books, stickers, mugs, ect. I really like that mocktails are offered here as well!
Lauren — Google review
The bookstore is exceptional and well-curated. The coffee shop is okay, but drinks are somewhat overpriced (a flavored latte here is $7.00 before tax and tip, which is $1.00-$1.50 more than other local independent coffee shops charge). I disliked that smaller tables were reserved for groups of two or more, and individuals are asked to sit at the communal table (although this rule doesn't seem to be enforced when business is slow). It's worth mentioning that they're open much later than every other local independent coffee shop that I'm aware of, which will be welcome news to students and those wanting a late afternoon or evening coffee.
Brandon G — Google review
It was okay. The staff didn't know much about the event we wanted to attend. We felt weird sitting down cause it wasn't very welcoming. All the tables were reserved but you didn't need a reservation. My beverage was sad. It was a gingerbread latte but it was only hot milk. Although, I did like the selection of books they had.
Frances A — Google review
The idea is so cute and cozy. They charged me $1 to add cream/half &half to my coffee. Basic drip coffee here is $6. In the last 30 years of buying drip coffee I’ve never been charged for drip coffee.

Hooked is a great place to chill and get some work done. The tea is delicious and my sandwich was great. The hot chocolate tasted like hot water and and bag but other than that the place was good. If you want to talk it is not a good place because most of the people there are 📖 or studying. The vibe is calm and welcoming.

Graduate Rock Bar is a must-visit gem in East Lansing, perched atop the Graduate Hotel and offering stunning panoramic views of the city. This vibrant rooftop bar is perfect for enjoying brunch or drinks in a lively atmosphere. Guests rave about its delicious menu items, including the savory burger Benedict and banana bread French toast, highlighting its dedication to quality cuisine. The bar's unique decor features memorabilia from Michigan State University's sports history, particularly celebrating its championship basketball teams.
Phenomenal brunch, friendly atmosphere with personable staff and delicious food. One of my favorite places to view the city, have a drink, and a bite to eat. I’ve always enjoyed lunch here. Recently tried brunch and loved it. We tried the banana bread french toast, burger Benedict, and chilaquiles. The banana bread French toast was the perfect amount of sweet and the burger Benedict was savory and very flavorful. The chilaquiles were also delicious with great flavor. I also had a mimosa, which paired well with everything Highly recommend as a favorite brunch spot.

I always love visiting the Rock Bar at the top of the Graduate Hotel - it’s such a great perch overlooking the north side of campus. Popped in on 5/3/25 for a few drinks - the place was busy but I found a seat on the outdoor patio. Friendly, fairly quick service given how busy they were. I always love coming up here when I’m in town and can’t wait to come back again - the view is great!

Very cool lounge/bar on top of The Graduate hotel. Beautiful view from the terrace. We just had drinks so I can’t comment on the food. Great vibe.

I came for brunch at the Rock Bar which has the most amazing views of the city! The service was excellent and the chocolate croissant was to die for. Like truly amazing! Get one with whatever else you order. The friends I went with both got the recommended chicken and waffles which was really good; sweet, spicy, crispy, gooey - it was everything. The chilaquiles I had were less impressive and not traditional, I would steer clear from those in the future.
Rebekah C — Google review
Not sure about the food, but this is the best view in the city. Staff and drinks are great. Traditional 70/80/90s music. Cocktails better than the wine selection. A great place to enjoy a sunset.

Amanda D — Google review
We went for a drink before attending a show at the Wharton Center. We did not order food. It was during their brunch menu- so it was a limited food menu, but looked good. The craft cocktail menu was limited - but it may have been due to being brunch. They did say they had a full bar and could make “whatever”. The place was fairly empty. We sat inside. Of concern was that all drinks were served in cheap plastic cups - reminded me of partying in East Lansing. A martini and a glass of wine - in plastic cups!! The quality of the cup was akin to the cup you find in the hotel bathroom. Paying $10-15 for a drink I would expect actual glass. Two gentlemen at the bar had glass, everyone else was served plastic. Maybe if we sat outside - then use plastic. But surely not the cheapest plastic available. I was excited to visit - but so. It expect to return. They had interesting pieces of MSU related items as part of the decor, mostly sports related, and a great view.

Definitely the most fun and welcoming bar in EL! The food and drinks are always priced well and great! I am the president of a student org and Mandi has always been very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Landshark will always be our first choice for events and nights out!

Overall, my experience was pleasant, but I encountered a particularly egotistical and rude bouncer who made the visit frustrating. Not only was he disrespectful to me, but he was also just plain mean to everyone in line. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered him, I had a previous interaction where he was equally condescending. I hope he gets fired. On a positive note, the rest of the staff were friendly and accommodating, which made the situation a bit more bearable.

This establishment is disgusting. The floors are covered in alcohol, I am sure there are numerous health code violations, and the people who work there treat their customers poorly. I would recommend you go somewhere else.

Matthew T — Google review
The staff working there was great. The place as clean and they had good TVs to watch any games you might want to see. However, the drinks were terrible. Shark bowls were barely drinkable. I swear they put cheap alcohol into the bottles. I ordered several shots of Casamigos (figuring it was a safe way to go) and it barley tasted or smelled like tequila. Not idea what I was actually drinking. It was something fowl. I drink tequila all the time and that is not what I ordered. I asked for a new shot because I thought he gave me the wrong stuff, but I saw him pour the second shot out of the Casamigos bottle, so it was the correct bottle. Only thing I can deduce is they pour cheap garbage into the expensive bottles. I'd like to go back and test it! The 4 of us all were sick afterward. Will NEVER go back there.

Meat BBQ is a popular dining spot in Lansing, MI that has been serving up Southern-style barbecue for about 10 years. The restaurant started small but has since expanded to accommodate the growing crowds of barbecue enthusiasts. With a larger dining room and an original kitchen unit, Meat BBQ offers slow-smoked barbecue classics and creative homemade sides for both dine-in and takeout.
Sat at the bar and had amazing service from the bartender, she made a lovely lavender lemonade cocktail. We ordered pulled pork, wings, french fries, mac n cheese, bbq pit beans, and spicy creamed corn. It was a lot of food for two people, but we wanted to try multiple sides. The spicy creamed corn lived up to its name, and the mac n cheese might be my favorite - next to the fries. I really loved the pork too, tried it with every sauce - a must. Wings were good but a tad chewy, I would like to try the brisket and the ribs next time. Everything was great down to the cornbread, will be back for more.
Hannah M — Google review
Went right when they opened at 11 so there was no concern of being out of any meats or sides. The cream corn is decently spicy. The fries are crispy and delicious. The cornbread is very buttery, a bit bland maybe need honey. The Mac and cheese isn't bad, but would be best with meats mixed in. Lots of BBQ options, but overall the best is the traditional one. Everything was filling and good. Can't complain about any meat being dry or bland. You get plenty of food for the price, so if you order an appetizer, be prepared to take home about half of whatever you order for an entree.
Amanda L — Google review
Stopped in for lunch at Meat BBQ and it was outstanding. The atmosphere has that perfect balance of laid-back and lively — a true local gem. I ordered the Build Your Own Mac & Cheese with sausage and chorizo, and it was incredible — creamy, spicy, and served in a skillet literally the size of a small pizza. Easily one of the best macs I’ve ever had. My wife got The Chin-Gorilla sandwich (pulled pork, house pimento cheese, grilled pineapple, fried onions, and bacon) and couldn’t believe how good it was. Huge portions, fast service, and every bite packed with flavor. Definitely one of the best BBQ spots around Lansing — worth every calorie.
Alex M — Google review
When I tell you this is some of THE best BBQ I've ever had....I mean it. And I have it everywhere, Texas, KC, Tennessee, everywhere. This place is up at the top. We got the brisket meat plate. Smoked Wings meat plate and the 1/2 rack pork spare ribs meat plate. EVERYTHING was amazing. Even the sides. Brisket was perfect, great smoke flavor ( even nicer smoke ring ) tender, juicy. Wings had great smoke flavor, nice and perfectly crispy but not burnt, juicy and flavorful. The ribs were top notch!! Great crust from the rub, also perfect smoke flavor, not dry but not fall off the bone ( aka over cooked in my opinion) get that perfect bite. The mac n cheese was REALLY good, had a little kick to it which I loved, but not over powering. The beans had a perfect balance of sweet and smoky flavor. And if all of that isn't enough, the atmosphere and location is the cherry on top. Lots of stuff to do close by even if you have a wait. We will be back....SEVERAL TIMES.....SOON.
Nick L — Google review
The Good: Thin paper towels on each table and an organizer of house sauces and ketchup. Ranch is available but not bleu cheese. Wings were flavorful and fatty The Better: All entrees came out hot and at the same time. Single-occupant bathrooms. Options to eat inside, covered ceiling with open windows, or open air patio style. The Mac and cheese was better than anticipated, with thick real cheese sauce and soft noodles. The Best: Warm and welcoming server who knew the menu well. The brisket was tender and presented as a slab so you get all the best parts (fatty, crusty, juicy, etc.) The fries were ridiculously tasty- crispy and seasoned

In addition to its delectable offerings, the store also serves soups and sandwiches. Visitors can explore the W.J.
This is not your ordinary ice cream. They have won ice cream awards including this year for number one college ice cream shop. They make all their ice cream on campus from the dairy cows. It's personally One of the past if not the past ice creams in Michigan. If you stop by when they're busy, lines can be out the door. If you have a craving for some really Amazing ice cream It will be worth it!

We got the mini for $3 each, the portion sizes were good. Service was fast and staff were friendly. However, the flavors were very mid/average. We got their two signatures. one was a vanilla with caramel and nuts , the other was vanilla with chocolate chunks and malt. We had high hopes as visitors to MSU, waiting in line for 30 minutes and for a place so famous. The first flavor I couldn’t taste what nuts there were because the pieces were so tiny, and the second flavor tasted like overwhelmingly fake chocolate. Both were also sickeningly sweet, neither of us could finish more than half of the mini size without feeling nauseous. Not good at all for us.

Tried the ice cream at the MSU Dairy Store and it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were so rich, creamy, and fresh—it instantly reminded me of the authentic taste of ice cream back home in India. There’s something truly special about the texture and flavor here that sets it apart from the usual options in the U.S. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the entire experience felt warm and nostalgic. You can tell the ice cream is made with care and top-quality ingredients. Highly recommend this place if you're craving something sweet, flavorful, and truly satisfying. For me, it was a little taste of India right here in Michigan! 🇮🇳🍨💚

Price is unbeatable. For $2.5 you get a big scoop, and waffle cone is additional 50cents. The flavor is lacking for the one I ordered though. Thought I had a peach flavor ice cream cus I couldn’t taste anything besides sugar, and then was reminded this is suppose to be a mango flavor ice cream. I think other flavors might taste better and will come back to try.

I would definitely recommend everyone to try the Dairy Store ice cream. The ice cream is made right on campus, the flavors are rich, creamy, and constantly rotating with seasonal options. The serving sizes are generous, and the scoops are packed with flavor you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. A must try for all Spartans!!

My wife ordered Strawberry Bavarian cake and we were very disappointed with the cake we got. It did not taste fresh, cake was not moist, barely had strawberries, the Bavarian cream and the layering did not seem professional made, the cake was not set. It appears as if they got an angel cake and put it together last minute by a novice. Cake layers were falling apart. Definitely not worth $39 they charged for it. Probably worth paying $10-$15 almost. We had the cake in the past and definitely the quality has nosedived while the prices did not. Business seems to be lacking honesty and integrity.

I was severely unimpressed with my lunch experience. I stopped in hoping to enjoy a glass of wine and a quick bite while reading, but the service fell short. I informed the server that I needed to order carry out because I was a bit pressed for time. Still, my food took far too long to arrive, and other guests who ordered after me were served first. When I asked for a vegetarian side option with my half sandwich, I was told I’d get a salad with an upcharge in place of soup. However, my bill showed I was charged full price for a side salad, which was not communicated clearly. While the server was friendly, they seemed much more attentive to other tables. But we did about 15 minutes to pay my bill. Unfortunately, I regret spending my lunch break here—$40 for a glass of wine, two shrimp, and a wilted toppings felt like a poor use of my time and money.

Heads up! This wasn’t the place I was expecting—the map was a bit confusing. I initially thought it was connected to the taproom, but it turned out to be separate. That said, we were seated without a reservation, which was nice. The menu looked appealing, though on the pricier side, but I decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short. There was a long wait after placing our order, and the service wasn’t good. The atmosphere didn’t feel very welcoming, and the food was just average. Unless you're planning a private dinner with wine, this might not be the right spot for you.

Stopped in to Sansu for a quick bite to eat on my way out of East Lansing. The restaurant is huge and right off of campus so it was mildly busy when we went. We tried some appetizers and had to get the crispy rice spicy tuna, a fan favorite. We tried a platter of mixed sushi, all were very good. The noodle dish was decent but I wish there were more noodles!

This place is so cute. The soup was great, and they had the best ginger salad I've ever had. The sushi was sushi. We had 2 really good rolls, but nothing really stood out. I was also disappointed they didn't tell you the names when giving you the plate. So I'm not saying the sushi was bad, but that same sushi at another place. I would expect to pay $11-15 at the most, not $17-22. I also didn't like that the prices are not offered on the menu but on a separate piece of paper.

Named after the owner's favorite Rolling Stones album, it has been open since 1973. Situated near Michigan State University, it attracts both students and visitors with its diverse menu featuring locally sourced ingredients, including fresh seafood, Italian classics, and beloved American favorites.
Hubby and I came here with our best friend for brunch and by the time we left, we knew we wanted to come back. This place has been around a long time. Typically, you'll get some good service here last night, with no exception. But sometimes depending on you know game day sis at the other things you know the place can be crowded but in general it's a great atmosphere you'll see in the pictures what it's like good service food quality is usually really up to Snuff my Burgers you'll see in the picture was a little overcooked I don't know what's up with that maybe someone needs you talk to a new cook that's in there I'm not sure. I ordered it medium rare but told her medium is fine, and that's what I got. I'm just saying, but don't let that detract you from the quality of the food, but if you're ordering a burger in the next week or so, you might want to emphasize, don't overcook it. Other than that, the place has always been an enjoyable experience.

I love this place! I was referred by a few friends to try out the breakfast and had some time to stop by. I may be a little bias being a huge Rolling Stones fan but I absolutely loved the food and drinks. Callie was friendly and everything she recommended was great! Will now be my Sunday spot!

Visited on Saturday during East Lansing’s art fair. No wait for a table, but the servers seemed a bit overwhelmed. Excusable due to the event though. The brunch was simply outstanding. I had the veggie bowl and was impressed. My 11 year old got The King, which is basically a cross between French toast and bananas foster. She gave it 5 stars. It’s a little dark inside and feels more bar than restaurant, but not so much that it’s weird to eat there with kids. Overall, I say it’s one of the best breakfast/brunch spots in Mid-Michigan.

With its inviting atmosphere and beautiful patio, it’s perfect for everything from casual lunches to group gatherings. The menu boasts an array of comfort food favorites like burgers, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings that are sure to please every palate.
Quiet Monday night and I had the entire place to myself. Kitchen stays open late (11-1130pm) and the food is actually quite good. It seems to have a good bar atmosphere and is separated from the dining area. Good service and highly recommend David the bartender. Great job and will come back when I visit Lansing again.

To begin with server was not very attentive we waited 5 min to even have her take our drink order. Another 5+ min to get our drinks the pretzel bites appetizer was ok flat bread pizza was hard in a bad way. For the main course my steak was over cooked and cold. My guests chicken salad was cold dry and tasteless. I'm not one to give someone a bad review they did discount the bill but the point is I went out to eat for a good time and good food and just ended up with a bad taste in my mouth. Dont let the photos of the food fool you it looked way better then it tasted.

What a lovely place for a lunch meeting. Atmosphere was welcoming with beautiful scenery and even a very attractive looking patio. It was the perfect place for a group get together and had something for everybody. If you have a large group with a variety of different appetites this is a great place to go. Hardest part is making a decision of what you want to get. Also the wait staff was super quick and very friendly.

Service and food have always been good at this location. This time we went during lunch hour on a Tuesday and it was fast, delicious and not too busy. Pictured is the Nashville hot and French dip sandwiches.

Myself and my 2 son's (21 & 17) went there on 5/5/18 for lunch. We had never been there before. We ordered the chicken Cesar salad, bacon cheeseburger, burger with bleu cheese, cheese sticks and 2 Patron Margaritas. The burgers were cooked as asked. Chicken cesar salad was Meh! Margaritas were strong. We had the Patron Margaritas. Yuck. I put 1/2 of my water in it. Disappointed. They were $10 each! We just drank them, with the thought that we weren't coming back... Cheese sticks $8.50 for maybe 5 or 6. About 1/2 of them had a "dab" of cheese inside of them. Not sure of the sauce that they came with..not that great, the boys didn't finish it. We were also given dirty plates for the cheese sticks. We had a coupon for $10 off a $30 order and our bill was still $61 and change! Our waiter was busy, looked frazzled. But to be fair to him, it was graduation day for MSU. We like to try new places, this one we will take off our list. The food was typical bar food, but I've had bar food that was on point! It was way OVER PRICED!! For burgers, salad, cheese sticks & 2 drinks. Our bill would have been over $70 if it weren't for my coupon. We were NOT impressed. 😞 5/6/18 - I didn't know that when we post pictures with our reviews that someone is able to remove them. What is the purpose of trying to give an honest review? I had to repost a pic of the dirty plate 3 times since I posted this yesterday. Take note: Shows 5 pictures posted... 😑 NOT COOL. Yet creepy knowing they can remove from an actual post!! 👎

The staff are friendly and dinning areas are clean. We ate out on the back patio. I've had better fish, but the onion rings were excellent

Pizza restaurant
The Cosmos is a trendy restaurant known for its wood-fired pizzas and space-themed decor. Since 2015, this chef-driven establishment has been delighting diners with its creative pies, such as the roasted pumpkin with chorizo and feta or the runny egg with pancetta and spinach. The galactic atmosphere extends to the menu, which features inventive salads, classic cocktails, and shareables like truffle popcorn and duck fat fries.
My friend found out about this piece via an Instagram post on things to do in Lansing Michigan. The pizza looked eh in the video but I said, ok. Let's try it. Glad we did. The vibe, energy, and employees were all great. For the pizza we let the chef pick, just said vegetarian. It was definitely top notch! We both got salads and they were good. Also tried the fries in duck fat. We didn't notice anything special about the taste like we thought there would be being cooked in something unique. The popcorn reminded me of what I poop at home. I use salt, pepper, and garlic. They added truffle oil. It was tasty. Took the left over popcorn home (we had good amount of food) and ate it on the way back to Ohio. So there are at least 2 rooms and a large back patio. We sat in the room by the kitchen because the other room was pretty full and loud. This filled up to the longer we were there. There was a pinball game and some old video game in the center of the room. The TV was playing old MTV music videos. Big mural on the wall next to our table. The kitchen is open. Was fun watching the people in the kitchen working away doing their things as we waited for our food. Good company. Good food. Good experience.

We came here within a week of seeing this place on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. The pictures of this place inside and out make it look so much better than it is. It is run down both inside and out. However, the food is amazing and most everything is from scratch. We had the SpaceBall pizza, garlic bread with balsamic drizzle, a cherry coke (alcoholic), and a beer. The food and service were awesome. Having said that, it wouldn't be my first choice the next time we discuss getting food. The location in town is not great. It is a strange thing to say the food was great but wouldn't choose it over something else. I greatly appreciate the time in preparation for the ingredients. I loved the fact there is a lot of care for the quality of food. It was nice to be able to pay our bill immediately on out phones.

So I’ve been hearing for years now about Cosmos and I finally decided to try it. I was not disappointed. The pizza is out of this world and to be frank with you, it’s my personal favorite spot for pizza. It’s always got a crisp and cooked to perfection with and pizza you get. Nachos were amazing, so the wings. If you have not been here please do yourself a favor and check them out.
Taisha G — Google review
Best pizza I've ever eaten! I tried the "Trust Us" - I'm not totally sure what it was, but I don't care because it was SO GOOD! Also enjoyed the "Trust Us" drink - probably my favorite drink I've had, though I couldn't drink much of it due to a high alcohol content. Only downside - no gluten free options, which would've been nice for my wife.

Stopped into The Cosmos on Saturday afternoon during a mini-roadtrip. This is a quick jaunt from the freeway that seemed to have good reviews and saw other reviewers posting a cool space mural that I was dying to gaze upon while dining. Unfortunately for me, even though the place was empty of diners, upon entering into The Cosmos staff directed us down a dark hallway (walking right past all the empty tables, pinball machines, and past aforementioned *gorgeous* space mural, down a dark hallway and into what I can only describe as a dilapidated dive bar apparently called"The Zoobies"). So easily getting a single star for atmosphere on that one. I feel like I got 'bait and switched' Dirty black stained hardwood floors, paint chipped off the yellow stained walls (I suspect the original color was white and that time has taken it), horrendously cracked vinyl booth seats with little to no survivable padding (Nothing like old cracked vinyl seats on the back of your legs while you're wearing shorts on an 85 degree day) Here's the thing: I had to give it four stars still, because the bartender at The Zoobies was an *excellent* waitress to us, and the food and drinks were delicious. But they are charging astronomical Italian Bistro prices ($18 for like 8 bone in wings, $25 for pasta) while you're afraid of touching anything in the place because it looks/feels like you're dining in a junkyard. Definitely a place better for carryout rather than dining in.
Savannah D — Google review
Great place for casual get together. The food and drinks are fantastic. Service was friendly and attentive. We ate indoors but the patio was very busy and popular.
Shelby C — Google review
The pizza was really good, but I got a salad and I am not sure if it was just a bad day but the chicken was as hard as concrete because it's been cooked over and over again plus the salad was a side salad and not a full salad. I definitely won't order a salad from here anymore.
Lola F — Google review
Great pizza and service. Only complaint was some pretty vulgar music playing. We've certainly taken the kids there before but probably won't in the future with the stuff coming over the speakers. The pizza is incredible and the truffle popcorn is awesome also. The prosciutto pineapple pizza is amazing!

Seated immediately and server waited on us promptly. Food was out very fast and hot. Absolutely huge portions! My husband had the Wet Burrito, I had to Carnita Bowl and my cousin had the chicken Quesadilla. My pork bowl was so good! Came with rice and salsa which was probably the best I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten Mexican food out west! Definitely will come back to try other things on the menu.

Food and table service was excellent. It was a pain that we had to sit and wait for a table when we could plainly see at least 5 tables available (including the one we ended up sitting at 30 minutes later). I think it was a bit of a power play by the two at the hostess station. When finally seated, the service was efficient and friendly. Food came quickly and was great.

When we arrived the hostess told us it would be a 15 minute wait. We dine here several times a month and was never received so rudely. Them when we did get a table the hostess took three menus and silverware and just dropped them on the table and walked away. The hostess acted as though it was an imposition to seat us. I understand the business and can appreciate it when it's busy that employees get frustrated but the restaurant wasn't that busy. It was about 1:30 and there were more tables empty than occupied. It will be a while before we go back because this experience left a very bad impression.

Came here on a Saturday night. Should’ve turned around when the hostess’s greeting was not there and all she said was “2”. Sat on the patio, server walked by several times before even greeting us. Finally she did and we were a little forgiving. Brought out a tray of drinks for other tables, one that got there after us and our drinks were not there. So she did another round of helping the other customers and had to come back with our drinks. We did an appetizer order that was pretty good. Took our order I got the spinach and feta BURGER. And my bf got a wrap. The food comes out and the burger is just spinach lol. I told the server I did not want it since it’s not actually a burger. She said “yeah we get that a lot” but didn’t have the sense to mention it to her customers. Very slow service, dismissive and careless. Won’t be back.

The Mexican food was good. My husband and I had not eaten here in years and years. We had chicken tacos for lunch and a drink each. The bar drinks were good as well. The server was very nice and polite. The young man who seated us was not very polite. Took us to a booth without saying anything. I thought that was rude. Customers want to be acknowledged. The prices were very decent. We will go back. There was parking in the back with an entrance. The decorations were cute, adding to the atmosphere.

Here with a friend for late lunch. I got the dry chimichanga with guacamole and my friend ordered the 3 soft tacos. Outdoor seating was pleasant and our waitress was in good spirits. I’ve only had frozen chimichangas and wet ones so this was a pleasant surprise. Friend said his food was immaculate.
Ivan H — Google review
When l got home and opened my food at a first glance I thought the tortilla was just a little burnt. But when I looked closer I saw wings like a fly. There was a bug on my chimichanga like it had landed on there and someone had killed it and smushed it into my food. I called and went back to the restaurant they were not very apologetic and offered a food credit not even a refund. The woman’s response was “he probably didn’t see it when he packed up your food, and it’s nothing we could have really done we have a lot of flies back there”. I will not be eating there again. Horrible service and horrible people

I used to go to El Azteco in the 70's and 80's in East Lansing. That is under new ownership with a different feel than what we loved years ago. This West side El Azteco is the better one if the two. The Waitress was great. The kitchen staff was very accommodating

What a joke! My husband ordered chicken burritos and they came out cold (were they premade??) He sent them back - they MICROWAVED the plate and gave it back to him. I’m not sure that’s even legal? (Sanitation, bringing an eaten off plate back to the kitchen) Besides being cold, the chicken was clearly boiled. No flavor. No hot sauce in sight. We will not be back.

Tonight was my first time here in a very long time. (I moved out of state and only recently got back.) Happy to be back in Michigan so I can patronize this amazing business again! The food was outstanding. The tea was exquisite. The interior design, tableware and service was better than I remember. A divine experience for sure. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars across the board is because of the number of birthday parties in the house during my visit. Not the restaurants fault of course but I was hoping for a more low key visit. Next time maybe. I’ll definitely be back regardless. The food and excellent service fed my soul. 💯

Buddies Pub & Grill is a highly regarded establishment that consistently delivers exceptional food. It has successfully adapted to the changing times while maintaining its traditional appeal, making it an integral part of the local community. Their Nachos Supreme is unparalleled in taste and their menu offers a range of high-quality dishes with remarkable presentation. Despite the slightly higher price point, dining at Buddies is a worthwhile experience that would be frequented multiple times a week if feasible.
The food was good and the staff was great. I have a food allergy and they came out to check to make sure they knew how to accommodate that. Very welcoming.

The serving size of the southern nachos was huge! I wish the cheese on top would have been a liquid instead of just melted cheese but they were pretty good! They came with what tasted like store bought salsa. The pork was very good. The tables were a little cramped for our party size, but we made it work. There did seem to be a decent amount of fruit flys flying around the table as well. The wait staff was efficient.

The foods I was pretty good here only reason I give it four stars on service and atmosphere when it comes to Atmosphere you know it's a sports bar pizza sports bar more or less I guess I could give it five stars but when it comes to the atmosphere in the service both are pretty good I guess when it comes down to it sometimes the tables aren't wiped off the cleanest the servers need to do a little better job with that but frankly that's a problem all over managers need to learn how to wipe a table off proper and then they need to teach their staff how to wipe a table off proper that's not just a problem at this place. Then I probably always hit them with five stars.

Dagwood's Tavern & Grill is a classic American eatery known for its handcrafted burgers and grill specialties. The casual ambiance, complete with patio dining and sports on TV, makes it a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. Customers rave about the delicious food, particularly the mouthwatering burgers and perfectly seasoned hand-cut fries. Quite the local experience! This placed seems to be a local favorite and was packed! Understandable as many of the items (burgers, fish sandwich) were $5, pretty unheard of these days. Three of us had a meal for under $30, and it was delicious! Most expensive thing I got was a$7 IPA!

Dagwood is a great little community bar with a great reputation. Things I liked and believe you will too: decent size parking lot, burger and app prices that are cheeper than McDonalds a burger for less than $5 is what makes America great!, bathrooms that for a bar are surprisingly clean, generally quiet atmosphere, and friendly staff. Things I didn't like and why I give it a 4 out of 5: When I came in there was no seat yourself sign so I stood there waiting like an idiot until I asked a staffer and second it is a bit dark for old eyes. I suggest some candles or table lighting. I will say my favorite appetizer so far though I wished there were more in the basket was the cheese sticks.

Went in on Thursday for their lunch special (rotates weekly). 2 Brats, onions and pepper, with mustard and a bag of chips for $7.25. Very good food, very good vibes. This hole in the wall joint is worth your time for a quick bite, booze and a crowd.

This was my first visit here. If I lived in Lansing area, I would make this place a regular stop. The food, service, and atmosphere are all great. What is outstanding are the prices! If you get their All Day Soecial, you can get burger, fries and drinks for a price less than what you would pay for a burger alone at other places!. If you haven't been here yet, you need to get there. I know when I am traveling through Lansing in the future, I will be stopping.

You could tell she really cared about making sure we had a good time. On top of that, she had great menu recommendations that totally hit the spot. I’ve been to EagleMonk several times now, and they’ve never disappointed. They have two cask ales usually available, and they’ve never disappointed usually let you test them before committing to a full pint. They’re friendly, and their beers are typically good. The beer engine always gives a smooth texture to any casks they’re running, and it’s worth a try. It’s part of the reason I’ve kept coming back.

We ordered the supreme pizza and we both loved it! I really liked the slushie, I think it was blackberry wine? 10/10! First off, their pizza is NOT "really good" like many here are saying. It's below average at best. Apparently people haven't really had good pizza ever?? It's burnt on the bottom and the dough has a slight chlorine taste. The $10 salad is a ripoff. The beers are "fine" but definitely nothing great. I don't get all the admiration for this place at all. During a recent business trip, I visited the establishment and was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere fostered by the bartender and patrons. The venue possesses a unique charm, and the beer selection is exceptional.

The pizza tasted like chemicals, I only say this because I except nothing but good flavors from this place, their beer is phenomenal and I love this place but why would the pizza taste like this.. please explain!!!
Rachelle P — Google review
Great beer, but even better food! Everything I tried was delicious!! The pizza was top notch, and they even had a spicy Italian vegetarian pizza!! The Dopplebock was exactly what I wanted from the style, and the Vienna Lager paired perfectly with the spicy pizza. Will be back next time I'm in the area!!!!

Japanese restaurant
Restaurant
Omi Sushi is a chic sushi establishment that boasts a contemporary ambiance and an extensive menu featuring both traditional dishes and unique house rolls. The culinary expertise of Chef Sang Shul Han, who has honed his skills at renowned Japanese restaurants, shines through in every bite. This East Lansing gem is perfect for special occasions like Valentine's Day, especially with their enticing offer of 50% off all wine—making it an ideal setting for a romantic evening filled with delicious sushi and fine wine.
Omi Sushi is a cute little gem that surprises you the moment you walk in. The staff are warm and welcoming, creating a laid-back, friendly atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. Start with the appetizers they’re absolutely fantastic and set the tone for the meal to come. But the real standout here is the sushi. It's truly out of this world fresh, expertly crafted, and beautifully presented. Whether you're a sushi purist or love specialty rolls, you’ll find something worth raving about. The kitchen dishes are pretty solid too. The curry, in particular, had great flavor, although the pork was just a bit on the dry side. Still enjoyable, just not the star of the show.

Update: Dine in! See full review for new photos! Great variety of Japanese cuisine! Placed order over the phone, pickup in person. Polite staff, good flavors, tasty dinner!

I haven't been to Omi since before the pandemic, I hold fold memories of making the trip up to Lansing with Omi as one of the bigger selling-points for the drive. I was not let down, quality has remained the same since before COVID, service was very good and I believe the prices remain fair for the quality. Service was good and very quick, the sushi was fresh and delicious.

I enjoy visiting. The chef well prepares really good food. The menu is tasteful. The lunch special experience is a beautiful, full service with nice, fresh, and hearty selections. I enjoy the yummy vegetables and protein. The Philadelphia and spicy salmon rolls are luscious with a slightly spicy pink sauce. Also, the small, good quality, and nicely breaded crunchy chicken katsu is great served on a crunchy bed with a brown, tasteful side sauce. I accompany with terrific garlic butter edamame pods. I wish for a cushioned or more comfortable seat. 🍱 🍣 🐥

The room is tight, with maybe 15 tables at most. Service is fast and the entrées were made well to order. The sushi was good, and the ramen a little lacklustre compared to nearby restaurants. Highly suggest the desserts, especially the mochi!

Food was very good, if you like sushi. A little tight for seating (but so is everywhere near campus). The menu had a very long variety

Decent amount of food selections. Cute lil place. Inexpensive for the quality and amount you get.

My sister was a regular at this restaurant when she attended MSU. She let me know to check it out and I have to say the food did not disappoint. The spicy tuna roll tempura and the crunchy munch 2 we're amazing. The chefs were unable to cash me out due to a language barrier, but once the cashier was available I was able to get my food and leave in order to enjoy it 😋!! I look forward to my next trip back to Lansing and of course this restaurant. I may dine in next time.

Steak house
Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of downtown Lansing, Bowdie's Chophouse offers a delightful dining experience that beautifully marries rustic charm with an elegant ambiance reminiscent of lower Manhattan bistros. This steakhouse is dedicated to providing top-notch service and high-quality ingredients, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts. The menu features an array of international dishes, including escargot and ceviche, alongside hearty soups, fresh salads, and a variety of seafood options.
Quite simple of all the places I have ever attended and reviewed this may have been the best overall food and experience and it’s not even close! From the amazing service making me feel like home (if home was a mansion with ten butlers and personal chefs) to the insanely delicious food! I ordered a roasted half chicken which if not in the proper setting I would have eaten down to the bone marrow. The lobster tail experience alone was worth the price of admission. The server brought it over then with two forks in one hand while the other had a baby knife he cut the tail out of the shell and prepped it with butter on another plate then served it to me!! Insane!! The only down side was the toast they gave in the beginning as their version of bread and butter. Otherwise there was zero part of the experience that was not perfect. Beware if parking out back the spots are weirdly angled and then the back entrance brings you through the actual back kitchen and you have to walk through a tight space to get to the front desk. No reservation be prepared to wait for the bar.
Brandon N — Google review
Way smaller than the Grand Rapids' location, this Bowdie's was way more quaint, intimate and cozy. The food was just as delicious and the drinks were just as strong. They offer a similar menu, but also have a store specific item, such as the Duck Ravioli. Our server explained that Lansing was the reason for being able to open the Grand Rapids, and you could see why. The wait staff were all very friendly and attentive, making it a perfect spot for our date night.
Renata C — Google review
We were recently there for a celebration dinner, neither of us had been there previously. We were told it was the best steak in Lansing. After our experience, I have to agree. I had the fillet, and it was perfection. This place is not large, very few indoor tables, so get a reservation. When we were there, my only note would be that the place is not a quiet place for dinner. The environment is lovely, but a little louder than I expected. The food was so good that I didn't really notice until the end. Definitely recommend, but with reservations ahead of time.
Pat H — Google review
We went here on a recommendation from a friend for our 14th wedding anniversary. It was definitely an amazing place. It is quite small, though, so you must have a reservation because the tables fill up fast. I definitely recommend, but an FYI: it's on the high end for pricing.
Amanda W — Google review
I’m taking one star off because the escargot didn’t meet my expectation at all (unlike the ones I had in Paris) 🥲 but filet mignon & fries are great. The atmosphere is quite nice but the tables are close to each other and your neighbors can be loud sometimes.
Lin L — Google review
Ok so the positive first! They have an amazing ribeye steak. It is flavorful and cook to perfection. I also tried the bone marrow appetizer but, I couldn’t eat it because of the way it was prepared. It was running and I couldn’t stomach the look. Lastly, I tried truffle fries that were just ok nothing to brag about and, the salad was cooked and served warm. Maybe the put the lettuce on the grill or something. Way too much parmesan cheese. If yr looking for intimate and quiet then this is NOT the place. It is very noisy and not much space. Seems like many local come a s drink here and hang out. I’d get a take out next time.
Wendy B — Google review
This is the go to place in the greater Lansing area if you're looking for fine dining and great a steakhouse. food is always spot on. The lobster mac and cheese the truffle fries are excellent. The fillet is always perfect!
Ahmed S — Google review
PHENOMENAL…. but…. I will start off by saying… this place is tiny. So, if you try to do a walk in, odds are you won’t get in. Tried that twice, no luck. Finally was able to get in with a reservation and I was not disappointed! You absolutely MUST get steak here. Do not get sea bass or chicken - go for what they are known for!!!!! Ignore the reviews about all the other items! The Cowboy Ribeye was phenomenal!!! Seriously perfection. We got bleu cheese and the horseradish sauce to garnish our steaks, but the steaks were juicy and seasoned so well, that we barely touched the garnishes. So don’t get garnishes! To make the experience even better, get the Brussels with Pork Belly as a shareable side. I could do without the belly, but the dish was tasty together. Lastly, the Nightcap drink was delish and hit the spot. I went in not thinking too much given the small space and the fact that the table next to us was a group of very loud business men that were so loud it was hard to speak at my own table (why I gave 4 stars for atmosphere.) They left toward the beginning of our dinner, thankfully. Regardless of that, I walked out with much delight from my experience. I will definitely be returning when I’m in the steak mood. But come hungry because the steaks are large. Service was wonderful as well! We were told it might take a bit of time for our steaks after ordering since they are large, but it didn’t feel long at all. Highly recommended!

For Crepe Sake is a delightful café that celebrates the art of crepes. Nestled in East Lansing, this charming spot boasts a cozy brick-lined interior and inviting sidewalk seating. Whether you're craving sweet or savory crepes, salads, wraps, or smoothies, For Crepe Sake has got you covered. The cafe's ambiance is perfect for snapping Instagram-worthy photos while savoring delicious treats. Open from Tuesday to Sunday starting at 8 a.m.
This is our second time coming to For Crepe Sake and it was just as wonderful as the first. My friends recommended the cinnamon roll crepe which was delicious, though a tad sweet for my taste. It is definitely more of a dessert crepe. We also got the fruit tart crepe which was exactly what we were looking for. The tangy lemon balances well with the sweet cream while the fresh fruit offers a relief and keeps it from becoming overwhelmingly sweet. This place is always clean, and it didn’t matter if we came here near open or during peak hours. The staff is friendly and our crepes came quickly. Overall recommend for both couples and friends.

Our first visit this morning and so glad we popped in! Excellent, friendly customer service; delicious breakfast crepes; fantastic coffee. What more do you want? Some of the light fixtures could use a cleaning and drop ceiling tiles replaced, but otherwise the space is soothing and takes me back to European cafes. We will be back for more, soon!

Very cute contemporary place, and the breakfast crepes are Amazing. They even do latte art, and they have benches near the front windows, it feels like you're sitting in an NYC cafe. I was hungry so I forgot to take a pic before we got a couple bites.

The atmosphere and the coffee are delicious... the crepe just okay. If I'm going to pay $40 for two crepes with salad and a coffee...I kinda want to be wowed and I just wasn't. Super cool place if you love crepes though.
Lauren R — Google review
I visited For Crepe Sake on a Sunday afternoon. The hours posted on their website, Google, and FB do not match. This was confusing. I had a Lavender iced latte, blueberry goat sweet crepe, and classic savory crepe. The latte was good. The blueberry goat sweet crepe was okay; it had an - overpowering sweet taste. The classic savory wasn't great. It was very salty, and the mustard flavor overtook the flavor of ham and cheese. The atmosphere was okay, however the ceilings are very dirty. The music they had on that day to me was quite loud. I was expecting more of a cafe experience. The lady who assisted me was kind and explained the menu well. The drink and food came out quickly. I am gluten-free, not by choice, and they upcharged for this (not an issue). The cost overall is pricey, and I don't think the food was that great for the cost.

I had a Veggie Crepe to go. One of the biggest things for me was that the crepe was still warm when I got back to eat it. The ingredients were incredibly flavorful and fresh tasting as well (the sundried tomato pesto is to die for). I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a delicious and refreshing crepe. Can't wait to try my next sweet treat here! Side note, the hash browns were perfect! Crunchy on the outside, salty and fluffy on the inside. Thank you, FCS!
Dylan C — Google review
Crepes were delicious! That being said, the latte was the worst I’ve ever had (basically just milk), and the staff didn’t seem to know anything about the menu or be able to answer any questions. I know it’s a college town, but having two private restrooms without any changing tables was frustrating as well if you have children

we got the Nutella fruit crepe $16 and the tuscan crepe $18, it was a little pricey especially since there was barely any fruit in the Nutella one. Pretty disappointing

Nestled in Lansing, Coach's Pub and Grill is the perfect spot for a laid-back outing with friends or family. This inviting sports bar boasts a diverse menu featuring handcrafted pizzas and classic pub fare that will satisfy any craving. Whether you're in the mood for smothered chicken or an open-faced roast beef sandwich, you'll find something delicious to enjoy. The atmosphere is lively, with pool tables, dart boards, and multiple TVs showcasing your favorite sports events. Plus, there's ample parking available!
A quintessential sports bar with a fairly decent menu. Close to the highway and MLK. Ample parking. Men/Women/Family bathrooms. Beach volleyball court outside. Pool tables and dart boards inside. Several TVs on the walls tuned to sports, news and a triller movie. Nice selection of drafts and bottled beers. Waitstaff and bartender were on point tonight. The crowd was a mix of working stiffs, families, peeps hanging out. I had the smothered chicken with sweet potato fries. Tasty! Nice house salad to boot.

Had lunch there. I had the gouda mac burger which had bacon and cheesy curds on top of a burger. It was not bad. I also tried the pizza which was pretty good. It was on the thinner side and not too crispy with not too much red sauce which I like. Would eat there again. They also have volley ball courts.

I was so happy to see they had Open Faced Roast Beef sandwiches!! Not too many places still serve this. And it was delicious! So much meat and potatoes. Good red skinned mashed potatoes too. I also got the deep fried pickles and those were good too. Also, the service was great. We had a small group of 7 and we received everything we ordered and had no issues with the waitress; she did a great job.

Party of 16 at the last minute and they accommodated us immediately with amazing service (thank you Stella). The music is diverse and only in the background (don’t have to yell over it). It’s a well lit place, so you can see what you’re eating. The food was very good. The atmosphere was perfect for us (an basketball team visiting Holt high school—parents at one table and players at another, right next to us). While we weren’t there to play volleyball, we were impressed with the facility. I don’t eat meat, so I was super happy to be able to order an Impossible Burger as a substitute for any of the burger options. I highly recommend The Smitty. The calzones are huge and tasty— big enough for two to eat.

A good location, nice size both inside and outside space. Food is pretty good, but not impressive. Service has been good, attentive and knowledgeable. Prices are fair, not too expensive for what is provided. Inside dining is very open and lots of hard surfaces, an update including comfortable seating would be of great benefit.

I was very disappointed when the only bag of chips I could get with my sandwich was chips that had sea salt pepper and onion on them when I said I can't eat pepper and onion they had no other kind to offer! Very strange should have been more choices probably won't be going back! I used to love this restaurant!

We ordered a drink and got it. Then we sat for a half hour before anyone came back to our table. We're still waiting while I write this. We'd planned to order food but will cash out and leave. Waitress never did come back until we flagged her down and asked for our check. She didn't make any attempt to apologize or ask if we wanted food or something. I can't imagine going back.

First time to order from Buffalo Wild Wings and the food was great. I ordered 5 chicken tenders, potato wedges and BBQ sauce, the tenders were so tasty, BBQ sauce was good, but I wish the wedges had a bigger cut. The food was tasty and nice place to visit.

When we first entered and waited to be seated, we saw a group of 3 servers looking at us, pointing, and laughing. It was not a busy night, yet after being seated it took 23 minutes of waiting for help, before we asked a worker if someone was coming to help us. It took an additional 10 minutes after this for our server to come. Our server, Ernest, came with only 4 sets of silverware for our table of 7, and gave us a dirty fork (picture included). Ernest wore an Airpod the entire time making us feel like more of an inconvenience than a customer. After ordering it took an additional 8 minutes for our server to bring out just our waters. The food was good but the service was heavily disappointing. I will not be returning.
Ella K — Google review
After being seated, it took 25 minutes to just talk to someone on an extremely quiet night. Followed by a 12 minute wait to even be checked upon. My group then all ordered water which took an additional 8 minutes. We ordered the food and it was great. But we were ignored the entire time.
Leland A — Google review
Food here is consistently terrible, regardless of how slow or busy it is. Beer taps _might_ be clean, if you're lucky. Staff is running around doing everything but serving up food and beers. They are definitely understaffed on game days, but there are also some obvious inefficiencies at play. It's downright crazy how much time they spend walking back and forth to the POS systems. Hey management - y'all know there are mobile payment acceptance devices now, right?

Called in a carryout at 729 Girl on the phone was nice, said it would be ready in 15-20 minutes Its now 830 and I'm still standing in the front foyer waiting on my food.. they prioritized a giant carryout ahead of at least 4 other customers that are actively here and waiting... Went to the bar to have a beer while I wait and they have the draft beer shut down already for the night Do you even want business?
Kurtis M — Google review
After being seated it took 23 minutes before we even talked to somebody, and we had to ask where our server was. It wasn’t even busy in the restaurant. After asking, somebody didn’t even serve us for another 10 minutes. The food then took forever to come out, and afterwards we were never talked to again until our bill came. Our server also wore an airpod the entire time, making us feel like more of an inconvenience than a guest. I’m heavily disappointed, will not be returning. I personally am a server, I understand getting behind when things are busy… but that is not the situation here. We were simply ignored the entire time we were here.

Went to Buffalo Wild Wings East Lansing tonight and came across an establishment that is so atrocious when it comes to the basics of hospitality that I was taken back. I arrived after the rest of my party and the two of them had not been greeted yet despite already being sat for 20 mins. The front half of this restaurant was closed and they had around 50 some guests in house. I understand it was UFC 319 but still only 50 covers and twenty mins to be greeted is not off to a great start. We then decide to go sit at the bar after waiting another 10 min for our waitress. Management is no where to be seen. We sit at the bar and wait another 10 min before the server who's section we were previously in asks the bartender, if he has greeted us yet? To which he replies "no" and then she informs him that we moved from her section. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she didn't see us get sat, up to that point. The young man behind the bar takes our food and drink order and brings back two of the three beverages. He forgot my water at first but brings me one 15 mins later. Another 20 mins and the food arrives, I ordered boneless wings with ranch. The thing that is there bread and butter. No ranch and barley any sauce on the boneless wings. The bartender sees immediately, infact he tells me that the kitchen or expo forgot my ranch. I would assume at this point an effort would be made to get said ranch, but I guess that was completely wrong as I finished my meal without any ranch or any effort to rectify the situation. Also very confused on why they would pay for a ufc fight and close at 12, but besides the point. I know a lot of this is trivial and one could even say nitpicking. I also completely sympathize with the staff, even with the mistakes they made it wasn't their fault. But I felt I must share this as the management team here is failing it's employees and themselves by not putting their associates in a position to succeed. They did not do this for the young bartender who took care of us who I'm guessing was new to bartnding. They did not do this for the young lady who had a table wait to the point that they felt they had to go to the bar for service. One of the number one rules of hospitality is you have to care. The management here does not care. They dont care about the guests being served, they dont care about the associates under them, and they dont care that they can't generally manage a restaurant. They dont care to do better and I hope for the staff working at this establishment they get new leadership that can actually grasp and implement the basics of hospitality.

The proof is in the pudding or, in this case, the very cheesey breakfast pizza! Immediately upon walking in I was hit in the face with the mouthwatering smell of smoked brisket. The restaurant was not super busy, had really nice ambiance, and, was really clean. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The food was exceptionally good. Ordered the Rise and Shine Breakfast Pizza, that comes with bacon, sausage, ham, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, sausage gravy and fried over medium eggs on top. The crust was buttery and texturally perfect. The only complaint about the pizza, and it's a minor one, was that the sausage was so sage forward and flavorful that you couldn't really taste the bacon or ham. The sausage was delicious (one of the best I've had) though so I wasn't even mad; I just wished the dish had been a bit more balanced. Their coffee was stellar and their menu has numerous other offerings ( I'm looking at you smoked brisket omelette) that sound too good to pass up. I will for sure be returning many more times to get the full experience.

Nice laid back place where you can get great food for a reasonable price. The bbq wrap was amazing, the beef was super tender and perfectly seasoned. The mac and cheese wrap was also really nice but I would take the banana peppers out. Overall is a nice place and we’re glad a friend recommended it to us!

If you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy American cuisine, the Airport Tavern is definitely worth a visit. Nestled in Lansing, this tavern offers a welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for groups or casual dining. Diners rave about the delicious food, particularly highlights like the prime rib special and ribeye sandwich served on Texas toast. While some have noted that the ambiance could use a bit more flair, it remains inviting and comfortable.
Went here on a Friday around 6:00pm with a party of 3. No wait to be seated. I had the prime rib special with a baked potato and salad and it was honestly one of the best I'd had in a long time. It was a 10 ounce special for $29.95 which I thought was fairly price for all that came with it. Came out medium rare just as I requested and it was a little bigger than advertised which was great. The other two in my party each had burgers and fries which were cooked exactly as requested, both said they were delicious. I have to say, the fries they served were great and much better than the type I used to see here a couple years ago. I can't remember our servers name but she was outstanding. She had a great sense of humor and took great care of us making sure we're good to go and always kept our drinks refilled. The place might be a little beaten down but it was clean and accommodating. I was happy to hear they opened up again even if the hours are a bit abbreviated and the menu is slimmed down but I'd go back. These days eating out for me is a treat and only happens once a month and I'm happy with this experience and would definitely go back.

We came here with a fairly large group (7 adults, 2 babies) on a busy night so our wait was pretty long and we ended up being sat at two different tables - I probably would have been alright with going somewhere else at that point, but I’m glad we stayed. The food was great and when mistakes were made, our server and the cooks were quick to correct them. The atmosphere is nice and cozy albeit a touch bland. Prices are pretty high also.

We each ordered the wet burrito special. He said his had a decent amount of beef, but mine certainly did not. I honestly thought they forgot it at first. I finally found a sprinkling mixed in with the beans. Even getting beyond that, there was absolutely nothing special about these burritos. They were very bland and boring. The restaurant was FREEZING. The thermostat said 74 but it was right next to a heat lamp. I went out to my car to get a hoodie and realized I didn't have one. 😡 I finally broke down and asked if they had any for sale. She initially said no, but then someone found some.... For $45 each. #1 I'm not paying $45 for a hoodie. #2 especially not when it's because their restaurant is cold. #3 expecting me to pay that price to advertise their business is wild. Even at $35 I probably would have done it... $45? No. Another table came in after us and they were also complaining about the cold. It's also quite dingy. I get that for the bar section, but I would think they could spruce up the back dining area a bit. Our server was great. Unfortunately, that was about the only good part. We agreed this was probably our last visit.

Okay, where to start?! The menu I see online is not the new menu. Menu prices are quite a bit higher on the new menu than they are on the old menu.Dirty. Dark. My tab was $80 for three people. I’m not sure why they call it a steakhouse when they serve two steaks. That is it just two to choose from and they do not season them. I got The sizzler. No seasoning whatsoever ended up giving it to my son. Very bland. My husband’s fish was not fresh. It was definitely frozen. Will not be returning for sure.

I love this Restaurant, the atmosphere, the food and the look of the place. It genuinely feels like a great hangout place I would want to bring my loved ones and friends like characters in the popular 80's-90's sitcom: "Cheers". I hope to go to this Restaurant as much as possible, and I intend to go there today in fact. Thank you so much to all the staff and individuals who keep this awesome Restaurant going and functioning for everyone.

A guy I work with recommended the ribeye sandwich and we were not disappointed- I was thinking it would be a shaved beef kind of deal but it was not- it was an actual while ribeye laid on two pieces of Texas toast - very good! Nice atmosphere, keno for those that play and the only thing I didn’t like was the fries - wrinkle cut or whatever. Not a fan of the fries!

Nestled just outside the bustling city limits of Lansing, The Green Door Bar & Grill is a must-visit destination for those seeking an authentic nightlife experience. This down-to-earth venue offers a vibrant atmosphere with live music and DJ-driven dancing throughout the week, making it a hotspot for locals and visitors alike. While Sundays are reserved for rest, the other days come alive with engaging activities like trivia nights, karaoke sessions, and live performances that keep patrons coming back.
The staff and fellow patrons were super nice and friendly. They don't currently have food available, however you can bring outside food in. I was too early to experience the live entertainment on my first visit, but the entire establishment had a very relaxed and nice vibe, and I will certainly be making future visits. Drinks were also well priced, and staff was willing to make me something fruity upon request, when I wasn't certain what type of drink I'd like

Green Door is a great place to get out or get together or if u just wanna have a drink and hear some music. Nice outside patio when it's warm out in the back. Not sure how big their menu is anymore.but the food was always good. The Nachos rocked. The place is clean. I always take pics of places bathrooms cause there's a saying that goes you can tell how clean a place and a kitchen is by the cleanliness of their bathrooms. As you can see spotless. Great place for watching sports to with all the TV's. Also a downstairs area u can rent for parties. All around a huge asset to the Eastside and Lansing in general. Great owner and employees as well.

Didn't eat here but I loved the live music and dive bar atmosphere

We love Green Door as a music venue, but the service is awful and abrasive at best. We go a lot, and never had the best service, but aren't very picky. We went in on a busy night and had to wait 45 minutes at the bar for a drink, multiple times. We get it - understaffed. We go to close out, and they've lost our credit card. No biggie, it'll turn up. We wait 45 minutes, check again, still lost. We say we need to go (2AM). The bouncer or maybe manager just taps the sign that says "unpaid tabs will be charged 20% at the end of the night." I clarified that the staff had lost our credit card, and he said "that's why I pay in cash." They said they call us the next day. They didn't. I've called and left messages three days in a row. No response.

The band MIX PACK was great , definitely made you want to get up and dance, and we did, but the service was not acceptable. It wasn't very busy ,but not one time in the 3 hours we were there, did a server come to our table. I know for a fact one server was in the bathroom taking selfies of her backside in the mirror, because I walked in on her doing it. When you pay 5.00 a person to go see a great band, service should be rendered. They missed out on what could have been a great tip. Oh well the band was worth it. FYI I was in the customer service industry for 40 years and actually taught employees about what customer service is. I've been going to the Green Door for many years and I will continue to go see great entertainment ,in spite of the poor service.

This was my go to place in all of Lansing when I was in grad school. It was the only place in town that had live music all week and I never had a bad time here. It's definitely got a certain vibe but it's fun! If it wasn't for the Green Door, I wouldn't have made it through the stresses of grad school. This place helped me escape the anxiety even if just temporarily. I will definitely stop by next time I am in the area.

Nestled in Lansing, Reno's North Sports Bar offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for unwinding with friends. With an inviting outdoor patio featuring a fireplace, it's an ideal spot to enjoy some fresh air while adhering to safety guidelines. The bar boasts ample space and two pool tables for entertainment, although options may be limited beyond that. While the pricing might lean towards the higher side post-COVID, patrons appreciate the friendly vibe among locals who frequent this establishment.
Excellent pizza. We ordered the Gram slam 12" pizza and it was delicious!!! 2 in our party and took 3 pieces home. Reno's is now our new pizza spot. Did not care for the housemaid potato chips. They were fried too long. Great, friendly service. Highly recommend this place.

My sister had her retirement party here. Typical sports bar vibe, with volleyball pits. The staff was very thoughtful and accommodating until the local soccer club final crowd came in then the staff was over whelmed. Hope they made good tips. The food was typical bar food, but done well. All in all, it was a great time.

Lot's of room as you can see. Two pool tables. Not much else to do. It's a little pricey (I haven't been to a bar since covid)🤭. Beautiful place tho. Go cart track and back patio appears to be closed. The charging station is impressive if you don't mind leaving your phone there. The clientele here seems to be northsiders which are preferable in Lansing. Friendly compared to the what the west side was. I'm here at 6pm on a Saturday. Apparently, there was a volleyball tournament this morning 👏👏. I didn't have any food, but I know the owner 🤮 (I hate saying that), I'm sure the food is outstanding whatever they have ♥️

They say full kitchen till 2am. It's not. Took order and said they were closing kitchen in 10 minutes, we thought 2am but it was midnight, ok. Then they come back its all off and ask if we still want sodas. Disappointed that the door says full kitchen until 2am and its not. Not many late night places you can eat at.

Such a fun menu and atmosphere. We were hoping to sit in a cool air conditioned restaurant but it was hot and stuffy inside. So we opted to sit outside, where there was a breeze. The turkey pretzel bun sandwich, was delicious. And the reason I keep coming back.. truffle fries! Always good

Kendall was very attentive and friendly as a server. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of my meal- fish and chips. Not the best I’ve ever had, but good enough. The fish came with tartar and malt vinegar, which I appreciate. Nice, relaxed atmosphere.

We met friends in a group of about 20 for lunch in a reserved room near the bar. Bowls of popcorn awaited us down the middle of the long table. A cordial server took beverage orders followed by food orders on bills for each person or couple. The food was delivered in about 15-20 minutes ( approximately) to all at about the same time. Great service! She and I each ordered a Caesar salad and shared a 10" pizza deluxe (type) pizza that was delicious, with the crust lightly crunchy! Very nice!

Nestled in the vibrant Old Town District of Lansing, Ozone's Brewhouse is a delightful gem crafted by a father-son duo, Dan and Kyle Malone. This brewery transforms a repurposed warehouse into an inviting taproom where creativity flows freely. With around twelve unique brews on tap—ranging from a cherry and vanilla amber ale to a sage-infused cream ale—Ozone's offers something for every palate.
Everything we ordered today was amazing! The hotdog, pizza and mac-n-cheese. We also tried out a couple of the beers also very good!

The owner is beyond amazing. He is very helpful and kind. The food was 10/10. It's one of the BEST places I have eaten at. I highly recommend their burger! Made to perfection. The mozzarella bites are DELICIOUS. And the pizza was nothing less than amazing. If you get a chance to grab lunch or dinner... I would NOT even think twice and choose Ozone's! There aren't enough ⭐ stars ⭐ to rate this establishment correctly.

We ended up deciding to go on a whim and happy we did despite the 1 hr plus drive (1 way). Atmosphere was very good nice a cozy with a decent sound level. Service was incredible. Quick to stop as we got in and then didn't constantly bug us, but rather let us enjoy our pizzas and beer. The beer was perfect and we particularly liked the vanilla Dunkle. So good. The highlight however was our pizzas. Just incredible. No words to describe it other than "must try". So happy we went and sad it's not closer.

They call it "Liquid Art" for a reason. Very creative beers, some very friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. A nice small place to meet friends and be able to talk without the over crowded space. Fantastic addition to Old Town! 5 years later they are still my favorite Brewery in Lansing producing some spectacular bruise and some tasty tasty food!
Mark C — Google review
I've been going to Ozone's for trivia weekly for a few months now. Honestly I would have given them 5 stars up until this week. I know the new system is something that the brewery is still adapting to, but it definitely doesn't feel like it's meeting the message we're being given that it's to 'better serve us.' The first week was a little chaotic with it as was to be expected, but we were willing to work with it. A member of our party was unable to order via the QR code and they let them order at the bar. This week however when they went up to order the staff at the bar got quite snippy and told them no. They did let them order one beer, but then closed out their tab refusing to provide another. It was inconvenient, but someone else at the table just had to order for them. Overall I feel like it can't be easier for the food truck since your eliminating the flow of traffic that allowed orders to come in one at a time and essentially opening the opportunity for the entire restaurant to submit orders at the same time. Also it just feels odd having wait staff who only bring drinks, but not offering to clear tables, get more drinks or get water. That is all still a self service. At this point it seems silly to even have the bar staffed with more than one person even on a busy night if they're just pouring beers. We've decided we'll be taking a break from our weekly visits for a while, and maybe give them a few months to work out the kinks in the new system before we try again.

Insomnia Cookies, a renowned bakery chain known for its late-night deliveries, offers a wide selection of delectable treats. Their cookies are of exceptional quality and have gained popularity among customers. However, I must mention one specific branch that fell short in terms of service and availability. On my recent visit (12/3/22), the employee behind the counter appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
Just yum! Cookies are always fresh and hot, packaged carefully and perfectly. What I love most is that they feel and taste like home baked cookies from Grandmas kitchen :) The staff is always so super nice! Thank you!!!
Amber P — Google review
DIRT!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! The cookies were good but didn't have any premium only classic! I've been to several locations and this is the only 4 star review. 💚💯💯
Kenny G — Google review
Haven't had these in forever but this place has certainly gone downhill. The cookies used to actually be worth the price. Now, you have to get the specialty ones for it to be worth it and it's still not. $25 for 9 cookies that look like this? Nahhhh bring back the pre COVID bakes!!! Boo!
Ade K — Google review
So let me start off by saying that the quality of the cookies is incredible. I’ve had all of their permanent deluxe cookies and they are always great quality. My deduction of a star comes from this particular location. The most recent time I went in there (12/3/22) the girl working behind the counter was clearly high as a kite. The location also did not have their seasonal/limited edition cookies even though they advertised having them online and IN THE STORE. I highly recommend their deluxe chocolate chunk, deluxe salted caramel, and deluxe confetti. All amazing. Soft and gooey on the inside and crispy on the outside. Will still go back even though the location itself irritated me.

It always smells fantastic in there as soon as you walk in, the staff is so friendly, always smiling. The flavors of ice cream are creative and the cookie selection is 2nd to none in town. A must visit if you've never been.

The establishment itself is fine, my boyfriend and I just had a very bad experience about 5 minutes ago. I don’t know the persons name but they had blue, shoulder-length hair with very grown out blonde roots. Our total was 13.34 and I watched my boyfriend count OUT LOUD his singles adding up to 10 and then added a 5. We should have gotten 1.64 back but the person at the register forgot our dollar. When I mentioned my boyfriend gave them 15 and are still owed a dollar, they paused, glared at us and rudely argued “he gave me 14”. Taken aback we just cut our losses and left. We didn’t think it was worth getting so worked up over. But after leaving we were pissed that someone could harbor such a nasty attitude towards someone they never met over a dollar

Nestled in Lansing, Michigan, Front 43 Neighborhood Pub is a delightful fusion of a sports bar and grill that takes traditional pub fare to new heights. With an eclectic menu that ranges from mouthwatering burgers to tantalizing sushi, this spot offers something for everyone. The standout King Kong roll, featuring perfectly cooked tempura and kalamari, is a must-try for sushi lovers. But the culinary adventure doesn’t stop there!
When I hear pub I think super basic but hearty food with alcohol. Well that’s a lie after visiting Front 43! Their food is top tier dining level! I could not believe it starting right with the apps! The burnt ends and slaw was amazing! The look of the Nashville hot chicken sandwich threw me off a bit but the flavor did not! I asked for a side salad instead of fries yet it came with fries by accident and I was surprised how good they were since I don’t like Parmesan! Nice fresh hand cut fries with flavor that just popped! The food was so good I forgot to take a pic of all the food before it was gone! The menu is a perfect mix of fusion for two pages then two pages of just sushi!! The perfect mix with sports and bar feel on one side and diner vibes on the other. The service from all the ladies was top tier as well! This is a can’t miss stop!

We had a very nice dinner. Wayne was our server and he was amazing 👏. He didn't miss a beat. Very polite. So were the hostesses. The place was very clean and the food was phenomenal. I highly recommend the sushi.
Savana B — Google review
This is a really unique fusion sports bar and grill for their menu items varying from burgers to Sushi! I had to try the sushi though when I saw how awesome the rolls were looking on the menu. The tempura was perfect, I got the King Kong roll, I just substituted the crab for kalamari for an upcharge on the roll. I'm glad that my entree was so exceptional because the charcuterie board we ordered for our table is probably meant for just a couple and pricy for almost being $20 for the portions too. Definitely recommend enjoying their local draft selection. They have two hearted on top of the menu and always has been my go to, but there are definitely some other Michigan flavors I will be egar to try in the future. Michigan breweries do their distribution right and it's amazing how many local flavors they keep on draft. Definitely the place for the boozy foodie to enjoy really good food and drink and watch a weekend sports game at the bar. We dined in this past weekend when Michigan played Indiana, and man its definitely the local team supporters noise level in there for the away athletic lineup. Overall a good time, but definitely not as much of a quiet dining atmosphere for the volume of weekend attendance.
James R — Google review
It is a nice place. The music was quiet enough to hear your table mates talk and the tvs were really sharp. Like their name they have 43 beers/drinks available. The food is tasty. I had the simple bacon apple grilled cheese (wished there was more bacon). Lots of high top seating and some bar seating/ combo set ups. It is a nice hidden place to try. The good food is a surprise feature for a pub and that makes up for them not being a microbrewery haha. My girl and I will definitely be back even though her Martini was made a bit too strong, the edemame appetizer made up for that.

My Son took me out for Mother's Day. Had the Duck "Sloppy Joe". Caramelized onions, Duck Meat. It was one of the best Sloppy Joes I have ever had! Ordered an Espresso Martini, Bailey's, Vanilla Vodka, Espresso. My new favorite martini! Appetizer was the Crab Rangoon Dip with fresh cooked chips. It was all Delicious!

Great spot for drinks and food. The kitchen closes around 10pm. The menu is big and varied; the food is solid. We ordered nachos for the table—they were loaded with toppings and fresh guac. The Nashville HOT Fried Chicken Sandwich has a pleasant spice to it. The side of fries were great.

My bf and I had dinner here with several friends. We were celebrating a birthday with reservations at 7. The atmosphere is super cozy and comfortable. It's a trendy place to meet out of town guests or a place to celebrate life's successes. I had the hibachi grilled chicken, which was amazing! My bf had a special sushi 🍣 roll and we shared a charcuterie board. I could have passed on the board but everything else was delicious!

Moriarty's pub is very comfortable. The Tuesday jazz night is nice, but even arriving half an hour ahead of time, I still didn't get a table and had to stand the whole time. Very popular! No cover charge. The jazz was excellent. So was the beer and the prices. The food, from the burger, to the Reuben, and ham sandwich, they were unspectacular. The service was good, however. This is a place to visit for the ambience, the music, the comraderie and for playing darts. The food, it appears, is not their strongest suit and is there mostly to fill the need.

Sat outside on a Friday night for a late dinner with my teen after being at a sporting event all day. Sat right away and given menus with waters. Drink order taken promptly. Waitress was kind and very prompt. Appetizers came out in a decent time and hot. Hands down the best bar in East Lansing/Lansing area. Been going here for a couple years and have not had a bad experience yet. Best bar for game days, holidays, or even a Tuesday night pizza and cocktail. I recommend the cauliflower bites! Marios, the manager, is always super welcoming from the second you get to the door and will do anything in his power to make sure you have a good time and keep a smile on your face. The bartenders are all so cute and make sure you are taken care of and always have a drink in your hand. The waitresses also make sure your kitchen needs are taken care of and the bar backs are super helpful if you have any questions or concerns. This place is always clean and playing the best music. Good atmosphere all around and I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a fun time. Feels like home right in the heart of downtown East Lansing.

My wife and I decided to try this place on a Friday night, seated and welcomed immediately. My wife ordered a specific drink and we ordered food since your options are limited to deep fried, burger, or pizza. The food came after a small wait, it was typical bar food. Then we asked for the bill and noticed a additional 18% for a large group even though there was only 3 of us. I also asked why the drinks were $7.00 each plus a additional 5 for mixers that were part of a drink I was being charged for and was told because she was served a double both times, and they add 18% to ALL orders, even though it's not stated anywhere. Extremely poor business ethics

Do the deceiving thing about this place is when we went there was only like two cars in the Parking lot and the outside of the place is dinghy and doesn't look that nice, but when you walk in it's a completely different story! It was a neat design inside and really clean! Now when it comes to service, it wasn't the best but it was some what friendly. The food option is pretty awesome and has a large selection! They have everything seafood you could want! I went with the gator bite for an appetizer and it was delicious! My main course was the ocean #4 and it comes with snow crab, shrimp, and green muscles, cooked with potatoes and corn in a Cajun boil! But man talk about delicious! it was the best shrimp I've pry ever eaten! My buddy got the catfish basket and that was pretty awesome too! Be prepared to get pretty messy while eating! I will definitely be back to this place

This place was good, not great. We ordered two appetizers; calamari & hush puppies, the puppies were decent, good flavor. The calamari tasted like something you’d get from a box in the freezer section, was rubbery and bland tasting.. Also ordered a seafood broil w a lobster tail, snow crab and shrimp in Cajun seasoning and garlic butter. Lobster tail was a good size and had lots of flavor, crab and shrimp were bland but tasted good dipped in the sauce from the bag! Corn was good, we also ordered sausage + boiled eggs - both great!! The sushi roll we ordered, crunchy jalapeño was full of flavor and the perfect size. Atmospheres- outside was not too pretty And upon entry to the foyer area, it was dirty and uninviting. Once you walk into the actual restaurant, the atmosphere and mood change and it’s a little better / kind of cute / neat with water boxes on walls. The service was not great. After being sat, we did not get a server for about 5-7 minutes. My husband ordered a Moscow Mule, which Had no alcohol at all, He sent it back and got a Sapporo instead. Our appetizers arrived with our food, the server did not come back one time to ask us if we wanted refills or how our food tasted. I had to walk up to the counter to get a box and our bill. I would say she needs some extra training

I enjoyed my experience here, and l love the location. I ordered a Moscow mule, and that was very refreshing. I also ordered some of their raw oysters on the half shell. They were very good, and I was glad they came out with enough time before the entree so I could enjoy them. I also ordered some sushi special rolls and some of their taco sushi because I wanted to try something different. All of the sushi was delicious, I did especially like the taco sushi. It was creamy but with some crunch, too. It was a great atmosphere, and the waitress was very kind and attentive. I did find it interesting that I was brought Styrofoam type plates to eat with as everything else came out on regular glass dinnerware. It would have been a much more elevated experience if I had brought been brought glass dinnerware.

I believe it was the owner or manager? Couldn't tell. But he was very friendly, seems like he loves kids, he gave my son a toy to play with, also at the end of our leaving, he wanted to hold our son and gave our son a stuffed panda. Such a friendly service felt very welcomed, food was fast, hot and delicious, and I will try seafood next time! The environment and everything were different and very clean! Kid friendly!

Stopped in on a whim one Friday afternoon, and was blown away by the food. The seafood boil options are great and serving sizes are very shareable. Excellent beer and cocktail menu for a date night. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed it All!! Ted was our server & was very accommodating! Birthday tiramisu. Had fried oysters & Cajun fries! Split the 2 lobster, 2 snow crab cluster, boiled shrimp, & corn & red potatoes!
Diane H — Google review
I arrived for pickup at the time it said it would be ready yet I was waiting for an additional 25 min for two sushi rolls. Rolls had rock solid avocado which was disgusting and inedible. Removing the avocado didnt make it much better as there was still a funny taste to it that gave me a stomachache. Waiting that long for this bs is crazy and they didnt even bother to offer a discount for the wait. Not worth the $30 I paid for it and im not coming back. Taro tea was good but is made with powder and not traditional.

Foster Coffee Company, located in East Lansing, is a popular spot known for its wide range of beverages including specialty lattes, loose-leaf tea, pour-overs, smoothies and shakes. The friendly staff is always ready to assist customers in making their selections. The seating options include small tables and sofas on the main level with additional seating and outlets available in the upstairs loft. This makes it an ideal place for students to study.
Stopped in for a latte on a rainy day during Art Festival. I had their honey lavender latte. It was very good and tasted as I expected. It was nice that there were tables both below and above. Worth trying.

Foster is great coffee shop in downtown East Lansing with a great selection of specialty drinks and breakfast/lunch food. There are two floors of seating and the atmosphere is always calm - good spot to relax with some coffee. The iced miel (honey and cinnamon) latte is my go-to. This is my preferred stop on the way to the East Lansing Farmer's Market in Valley Court Park.
Randy F — Google review
Great iced lattes! Tried this place out at our church today! Thank you for coming out on Mother's Day! The Carmel latte was amazing! I will definitely be coming into the store to get a latte soon! It made my Mother's Day extra special!

Food: 5/5 (great tea and sweets!) Service: 5/5 (great and hardworking staff 💪) Atmosphere: 5/5 (Foster was the place to be!) Foster Coffee Company is a great place to get beverages, meet friends, study, etc. Located in Lansing, Michigan, this place is awesome! As this was my first time, I really enjoyed all Foster Coffee Company had to offer. The food is great! The apple bread and turmeric/ginger tea was a hit! I had my tea iced, and I enjoyed every sip. The punkin latte was amazing as well. The service was nice! There were really great staff who smiled! A smile goes so far. I enjoyed seeing how hardworking the staff worked and how well they explained the menu. So awesome! The atmosphere was lit! 🔥 You would have thought this was a club for college students to study! It was a beautiful atmosphere, and it felt good holding conversations in this coffee house. I loved, loved, loved the vibe! Foster Coffee Company has some great items! Without a doubt, I had a great experience there. Also, knowing the syrups and everything were made by them, I felt great spending money on great products.

This is now my go-to coffee shop in East Lansing. My kids love the lavender lattes while I have enjoyed working my way through the menu and specialty drinks. I love anything Michigan cherry 🍒 and the iced cherry mocha was divine. For breakfast we have tried the oatmeal and a variety of avocado toasts. The avocado toast comes in a big plastic to-go container—I keep forgetting to ask for an alternative. The staff is friendly and willing to answer questions allowing me to pick out the perfect coffee for my mood. There are plenty of seating options from a couch, window seating, and a cozy upstairs area.

We hired Foster Coffee for our graduation party for our daughter. They did an amazing job and were truly a highlight of our event. Staff was super friendly and made amazing drinks! We highly highly recommend Jon and his amazing staff.

WOW what a great latte! Ordered the vanilla mint with oat milk after the barista working suggested it and am very impressed! Love the atmosphere and the aesthetic, what a spacious shop with a loving vibe. I would come here to study or for just a quick drink. The merch was adorable and I will rave about this drink for weeks..:

Unfortunately, Foster’s has decided to take the greedy route of charging for bathroom access. Not exactly the neighborly or community-minded approach you’d hope for. A shame, since their coffee and bites are actually quite good.

Cleats Bar & Grille is a delightful seasonal café located within the Hope Sports Complex, boasting the largest outdoor patio in the Greater Lansing area. Open from mid-March to mid-November, it’s an ideal spot for hosting large events or private parties. The inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for unwinding after a game, enjoying deliciously seasoned food and a refreshing drink. With its vibrant greenery and ample space, you can relax while catching live music or engaging in sports like soccer and volleyball.
A really nice place to hang out and watch a chill band, play soccer, or play volleyball...or do all 3! Great patio with lots of well-kept greenery. Kudos to the plant people! Nice selection of food and wide variety of beer and beverages. You can also bring your doggo. You won't see anything from the road so you'll just have to go up the long drive to see for yourself. Highly recommend!

We recently had my daughter’s bridal shower at Cleats and it was perfect! Mavia was so wonderful to work with from planning through the end of the shower and the staff was very friendly and helpful as well. They even brought out a cart to our cars and helped us unload all the things for the shower. Julie, the owner, was so friendly and did an amazing job on the charcuterie board we ordered. It looked fabulous. The turkey bacon BLT’s were delicious as was the Caesar salad we had. Thank you Mavia, Julie and Cleats staff. I would highly recommend Cleats.

Based off of my experience I’m gonna give this place a good rating so I’ll give them a 5⭐️ I can tell they put a lot of effort into their quality of food and really keeping the place clean. The staff was wonderful and inviting. This is a great place to relax after beating your opponent and kick back to have a beer. The food is great and actually seasoned to perfection. Who ever you are keep doing great in the kitchen. The ONLY thing I have to say is to let fried food drip some of that oil before putting it into the food basket. Other then that I absolutely loved this place. Good job guys and keep up the good work!

Cleats is a great place to share a burger and drink after a game. They are very helpful, setting up to go food if the kitchen closes before the games are done. Food is always excellent, I always opt for a burger, but there are plenty of other choices.

I ordered the tenderloin sliders, which i had a MASSIVE craving for. I arrived to pick up my order and unfortunately they were out of tenderloin and were not able to make my sliders :( I had a very pleasant encounter with the staff who offered me a new item on the house. I was very appreciative. Regardless whether you get the sliders, pulled pork, or another menu item, it will taste great.

Ramen restaurant
Nestled in the heart of East Lansing, The Avenue Cafe is a vibrant late-night hotspot that perfectly blends a casual dining experience with an energetic entertainment vibe. Known for its craft brews and delicious pub grub, this venue also boasts some of the best ramen in town at Ruckus Ramen. With a welcoming "come as you are" atmosphere, it serves as both a restaurant and music venue where live performances regularly take place.
This is a staple of Lansing. Cheap drinks, good apps, and a friendly environment that I feel at home in. I'm so grateful that I can walk into a local bar and recognize so many familiar patrons. Love the fundraisers yall do. Performing here was super fun as well. Good vibes all around:)
Jill — Google review
Showed up for a venue that started at 9pm, and within 30 minutes staff told us the kitchen was closed which was a bummer because everyone says the food was good and we were hungry. If we knew when the kitchen closed we would have showed up earlier but the website is pretty blank. According to Reddit it's a common place to get roofied so I'd just advise to be watchful but honestly you should do that anywhere. Lots of fun pinball machines and the vibe is nice, really cool place to see up and coming bands play. Overall an okay experience, best bit was the music.

I have attended a few current weekend nights. Just as a pool player ($2 a play) and visitor to Lansing. The staff and service is beyond impeccable. Inviting, aware, helpful.. i literally cannot say enough good things about how well the staff runs this place. The food... I swear you would never EVER think it, but the food here is not only insanely good, it comes in easy to eat and ready to go little bowls. On to the... entertainment? Hey.. lemme just say this.. after 9:00pm on the weekend, it's "Lansing Entertainment". I am only saying this as someone who's not local to the area. Will continue to return!!

Stopped in for some pinball while passing through to Detroit and was surprised by the excellent selection of pins, and so many LE! I know it doesn’t matter to everyone but was also really surprised how many of the modern Sterns were not Insider Connected, especially the LE of popular machines like Stranger Things and TMNT. Not a deal breaker at all still got into them just didn’t track anything for those plays, just wanted to share intel for those that log every game. Photos included is probably less than half of what they have to offer! Very cool place
Christopher G — Google review
This is a great place if you want to enjoy some great cocktails with live music (rock). They have an awesome atmosphere. As soon as you enter you get a nice chill vibe. In terms of drinks, we had their hollander 1945 and one of the specials which was peach flavored gin+ginger beer. They have a great selection of beers as well! The only issue for me was the service. You have to go to the bar to order anything. Given that the place is too crowded, the two bartenders there clearly seemed overworked and people had to wait long to order. Other than that, everything was great. One should definitely enjoy the arcade games while there.
Shivam B — Google review
I loved the avenue’s food but do not go on karaoke night. We put a song in early in the night, waited 3 hours, and were told that we didn’t put it in early enough. Multiple people sang 3-4 times each but yet there wasn’t enough time to get in our one song after 3 hours+.

This place is freaking awesome! I drove up from Texas and will be staying in the area for quite some time for work. I found The Avenue Cafe via the Pinball Map App. I believe the total count of pins was 41. All of them are in great condition, too. One credit for all pins was $1 and most of them offered 3 plays for $2. The bartenders were super friendly and made me feel right at home. Cool crowd, as well. I tried their chicken and rice bowl and it hit the spot! I will definitely be hanging out at this place while I'm in town and highly recommend it to all pinheads.

The Grid Arcade & Bar in Old Town is a nostalgic venue with game-inspired decorations that offers a wide selection of craft beers. This bar stands out for its vintage-themed atmosphere, filled with classic pinball and video games. Even the restroom stalls maintain this retro aesthetic. If you're seeking an enjoyable night out with friends or on a date, The Grid Arcade & Bar should be your top choice in Lansing.
Oh my gosh if you haven't checked this place out yet run don't walk. Whether you're looking for a place to have fun with friends, go on a date or even take your children the grid is perfect. The staff is crazy friendly and helpful, the games are free and the drinks are beyond good 👍

The is a really cute arcade. We go a few times a year with the kids. Drinks only, but the arcade is free now. All ages before 7. It's a lot of fun and very nostalgic
Autumn R — Google review
Cocktails just slightly elevated above regular bar drinks (ex: chocolate bitters) at what seems a reasonable price. The games are free which was such a nice unexpected treat. My wife and I noticed issues with a few machines... I really home they are maintained or even new ones brought in over time. Overall I loved the atmosphere and vibe. Friendly bartenders!
John B — Google review
Nice little retro arcade with old games from the past. They repurposed an old building in old town. Plenty of beer on tap and many other options to choose from. They added seating upstairs but could maybe use some tabletops downstairs. Please take a chance and stop in. If we dont support these places the will go away.
C M — Google review
I love love love this place. The bar tenders are really cool women and they don't push you to drink but to have a good time. I enjoyed my first time there and will be back. The arcade.is really dope and took me back to my childhood.

Great beer selection. Good game selection. The staff is very friendly. The place is VERY clean and well maintained. The building is awesome. Has a good mix of bar space and lounging. I can't stress the beer selection more. it's really good. They could use a few more arcade games. They do have a good mix of pinball, classic, and beat em ups. Would love to see a shooter or two. Maybe a few more fighters. But over a solid mix. I like the upstairs bar and board games. Great idea. Overall nice place. If I lived in Lansing, would be a regular hang out for sure.

We stopped in before an appointment on Sunday and it was a great experience the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Great selection of beers, fun atmosphere. The idea of getting tokens for beers and hanging out to drink and play some old school arcades is great. Would recommend will be back.
Andi N — Google review
A great spot to have a beer, play some old school games, and hang with friends. The arcade games add a great dynamic to the bar scene. I wish the building was bigger to accommodate more people, tables, and games. It gets a bit crowded, especially if you go with more than 2 or 3 friends. The bar offers a lot of drink choices and very friendly people!

Breakfast restaurant
Conrad's Grill is a no-frills eatery that has been an East Lansing staple since 2007. It offers American lunch classics such as burgers, wraps, salads, and fried sides. The spot is known for its perfect breakfast wrap and stays open practically all the time. While it may not be your average brunch place, Conrad's Grill serves scrumptious wraps and a wide variety of fried foods until 2:30 a.m.
Always delicious, that’s all you need to know! prompt and efficient staff
Jolene — Google review
Conrad’s was suggested to me by many of my students as a great place to get inexpensive and delicious food. I was not disappointed in the least as far as the food is concerned. My Philly wrap was perfect! The steak blended perfectly with the cheese and tots to form mouth watering deliciousness. The atmosphere is terrible. The sports memorabilia looked like they had been abandoned there since the 90’s. The clerks acted like I was disturbing their slumber. The whole place is literally plastered with signs urging you to grab your food and move out. It worked.
Christopher B — Google review
The service was incredible, the gentlemen was super throughout about their options since it was my first time. I had the barbecue sandwich and even though I walked in thinking it was going to be a middle eastern wrap place to see it was very American I am super surprised on how good it was! Their tater tots and fries slap! Amazing service, inside has cool art work with what seemed like no inside dining, for a vegetarian or gluten free person I wouldn’t recommend coming here but if you are a steak or chicken lover then this is your spot! Thank you for the service and quality. Exactly what I would expect for a college town restaurant
Edis — Google review
The food was really good. But I couldn’t get over the gentleman in the front who had the personality of cow manure. He seemed as if it was a pain to touch a few buttons on a screen (god forbid you ask for no sour cream). And when we didn’t tip he huffed and puffed and rolled his eyes. Probably won’t come back but food is still good.
Alivia N — Google review
Friendly fast service on a Sunday night. Wraps packed full with yummy goodness that put all our cravings to rest. Family devoured them.
Susan D — Google review
Let me tell you something. This place is nothing fancy: the counter help is typically not wowing anyone with their sparkling charm, but no matter.... THIS PLACE SLAPS. When you need a bunch of meat, tots, sauce, and other fantastic deliciousness stuffed into a tortilla, this is exactly where you need to go. Working my way through the menu and have yet to be disappointed. There is a sign posted in the 10×15ft store space that says, "NO DINING IN. THERE'S NO ROOM" It cracks me up because they could throw a few tables in there if someone actually wanted to eat in there....I'm wondering what the REAL story is..... but it doesn't matter. Not going there for the ambiance, going for the tasty after party, or next morning hangover eats. Do yourself a favor and drop $12 on any one of these bad boys and you won't be sorry.

Conrad's is a regular on our takeout rotation. Everything we've had had been good. It's made to order, the employees are all friendly. A great place to grab a quick bite to eat.

This cozy bar offers an impressive selection of over 100 canned beers, ensuring that every visitor can find something to suit their taste. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, making it ideal for enjoying some games or catching a sports match while indulging in delicious bar food like gourmet stuffed burgers and their popular mac and cheeseburger.
One of the more mature bars in downtown East Lansing, great vibe always the place to hit and the end of the night, even stop by and get a t-shirt if its your birthday!

Tin Can East Lancing is a good place to relax, enjoy some games, watch sports while enjoying some bar food. My first time here didn’t include the night life aspect but I just wanted a drink and something for lunch. I thoroughly enjoy their mac and cheeseburger as well as their breaded wings and I get it almost every single time I’m hungry here. Depending on the day, sometimes the bar can get day busy but at night it’s a lot livelier. Bar food is great, a lot of fried snacks, burgers, wings, pizza, this restaurant/ bar does offer a lot. I know it doesn’t sound the healthiest bar but they do offer slightly healthier options like wraps. They have a good selection of beers and local beers and they almost always have pudding shots which are fun that always come in different flavors. It is a nice alternative to jello shots. But of course, they don’t just offer beer but they have straight liquor too, so a little something for everyone. The best way to park here is paid parking and probably catching a, “cab.” As far as the night life goes, it can get pretty busy, it’s a popular spot near MSU campus
M N — Google review
First time here. Wife was here with our daughter and her boyfriend and raved about the stuffed burger. We shared one - was amazing. Did a few shots and hung out for a bit before catching a Lyft back. Dave was covering the bar and was great.

Pizza was ok. Nice crust. But a little bland on the toppings. 2.8. / Only beer in cans. Hence, the name of the place. D'oh! 3.5 After all, beer is beer. / For some reason, atmosphere is a 5. Just the place I was looking for tonight. / Overall 4.

Looks like a split between a sportsbar and a college nightclub. My partner and I were IDed the second we entered the building so I wouldn't call it a great family atmosphere unless you're all adults. Honestly I'm not even sure if kids are allowed? Food was alright besides the burger which was really good– it tasted homemade! It's probably better if you're there to drink but I'd say there's better places for dining.
Dez D — Google review
Tin Can rocks! So much fun to be had there! Love the shot and beer tours and the bartenders are all so nice! I was skeptical of the food but it’s actually so so good! My favorite bar
Kaylee V — Google review
The floor was not sticky, so that was a nice surprise. Very cool hole in the wall. It was very clean. The bartender was nice and the punch cards are an interesting concept. However, the shots were terrible. Which I guess is ok because they were cheap. But if your focus is on shots I'd really think they would at least taste good. They have a 3 shot limit. Not fair for more experienced drinkers 🤷🏼‍♀️
