Beer store
Hudson Valley Brewery offers heavenly brews available for convenient curbside pickup with online ordering. Nearby, Newburgh Brewing Company's taproom is open for weekend drinks, while Obercreek Brewing Company on an organic-certified farm north of Beacon offers growlers to go. Sloop Brewing Co. in East Fishkill boasts a taproom and curbside pickup as well.
Great place for beer and snacks with friends:) There is plenty of room and also a lot of outside sitting -great when it's sunny outside The staff are super nice We got 2 Pizzas - nice and crispy Lobster salad roll- the salad was tasty, the roll a bit too dry for my taste ( I would have served it on the sourdough bread that would have been perfect) Charcuterie board - great portion, there were 4 of us and it was the perfect size appetizer. The sourdough bread was delicious! Eggplant panini - was surprisingly good and had a nice kick to it All and all definitely recommend if you are hiking or just passing by the area

Fantastic! You are in Beacon? Make sure to stop by here. Great fruity beer, expensive pizza and lobster rolls, such a chill vibe. Kids are welcomed as I’ve seen many. Really easy. Tables are first come first serve. Beer you just get it at the “bar”. The peach, strawberry, beers were my favorite. I’d come back 100%
Tony Y — Google review
Nice place, friendly staff, many families with infants ordering pizzas & salads from somewhere. Beers were okay, not ones we seek out to buy. Big parking lot, much seating in & out. One & done...
Holly M — Google review
I had been walking around the Hudson Valley Brewery many times, but this’s the first first time I was here to grab a drink with my wife. It’s a nice and beat place, their beer on tap is really fantastic. And the surrounding areas are amazing, you’ll dream of living here, or you could just go inside to get a drink.
Leon — Google review
Hudson Valley Brewing is an absolute gem. The space is stunning—both inside and out—with tons of seating and a huge patio that makes it perfect for any kind of day. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink or settling in for a long afternoon, there’s plenty of room to relax and enjoy. The beers? Phenomenal. The Enjoyer is a standout lager—crisp, clean, and surprisingly flavorful, while Feel No Way is a super refreshing and well-executed take on a Pilsner. Both are light, smooth, and endlessly drinkable. If I lived nearby, I’d be here daily. Don’t miss this spot if you’re anywhere near Beacon. Total must-visit. 🍻
John A — Google review
Top notch brewery! We always make a special point to visit a couple times a year when visiting Beacon from NYC. Some of the best beer in the area and always have new and delicious options. A great indoor and outdoor seating area and we love to get some of the wood fired pizza. 10/10 would recommend to a friend they always have something for everyone! A very helpful and knowledgeable staff, as well.
Tyler K — Google review
This is a beautiful brewery that offers some the best sours around. The silhouettes are always a must have. I also sampled Theta, Ikigai, Yet Another, and Pastel. Not a single miss.
Afig32 — Google review
Great place-huge with nice outdoor seating as well. The pizza from the pizza folks(they are only there on certain days I think so check)was super. We had a pizza with white topping and peaches. The cheese was very tasty and the crust perfect. I thought the pizza was priced fairly-might be the best deal in Beacon!

Draught Industries is a cozy brick-lined bar located on Main Street, offering a wide selection of craft beers with over 24 taps. The bar features an interesting beer pouring apparatus that adds to the unique ambiance. It also serves as a bier garden and offers elevated pub plates to complement the drinks. The establishment prides itself on its rare and advanced tap system, which includes 20 rotating tap lines featuring local and regional craft beers.
One of my favorite bars anywhere. Delicious Mexican food, excellent beer list, friendly staff. I love coming here when we’re in beacon and it’s an absolute must stop for excellent craft beers - do yourself a favor and get some nachos or a burrito too!
Blake R — Google review
We stopped by Draught Industries on our way back from upstate and hit it around peek time. I was worried that we'd be waiting for a while because it's not a big place but decided to roll the dice because the reviews are solid. Maybe we got lucky but we found a spot to accommodate our party of three and everything from there on went as smoothly as I could have ever expected. Attentive and personal service, a wonderful beer and cocktail menu and the food ... fast, fresh and flavorful. Draught Industries livea up to its well earned reputation and the next time we're back in town, and I can't wait until we are, it'll be our go-to!

Party of six early on a Sunday afternoon. Service was top-notch. Food was delicious.
Mike — Google review
We just made it here about 15-20mins before their closing time, after a 30 mile bike ride. We asked if the kitchen was still open and if they were willing to serve us since it was just before closing. Not only were the bartender and kitchen staff gracious enough to serve us, the food and beer flights were OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious!! Definitely the best Mexican food I’ve had in all of NY and NYC! Their beer selection was incredible and the bartender was super helpful and knowledgeable about all the different flavor profiles! Definitely something for every palate. The beers were insanely good, we ended up going home with three 32oz. Crowlers of my four tasting flight, but only because the fourth one wasn’t available as a 32oz. option, but we would have grabbed all four if possible. (Our bill was a touch higher than a normal night, since we got 3 crowlers to-go) As far as tasting notes for my beers - King’s Court Summer Nights: Watermelon jolly rancher vibes here, refreshing, delicate, balanced. Hudson Valley Silhouette: Peach: (First off, love their logo) Bright, peach vibes, a little tangy and sour but not overwhelming sour notes or hoppy notes, really great balanced IPA! (I normally hate IPAs and I loved this one!) Oxbow Blue Noir: DAAAAAAMMMNNNMN this one is drool worthy and complex AF!! I could literally drink this everyday! A fruity and smooth flavor bomb of deliciousness. There’s spice, there’s warmth, there’s fruit, there’s sweetness. Probably my favorite of the flight. Wish they had a crowler of this one. Mast Landing Gunner’s Daughter: Ok, get ready to have a liquid dessert right now, because this milk stout is what chocolate dreams are made of. The nose is just like a chocolate dessert, and the flavor and mouth feel is creamy and chocolatey like your favorite dark chocolate dessert. Not too sweet, well balanced, not too heavy either. Great as an after dinner apertivo! Weldworks Juicy Bits (husband’s picks) Really delicious flavor that was fruity and had the mouthfeel and aftertaste almost like a Hefeweizen. Very well balanced and delicious. The other three were also very very good, but just less complex and interesting than the ones mentioned above. The other three he got were all kind of similar in flavor profile, easy to drink, light, traditional great beers. I got Guajillo pork shoulder enchiladas, everything was amazing!! We ate every bite! Hands down the best enchiladas I’ve ever had!! Taquitos as our appetizer was outstanding!! Also polished that off! My husband had the QuesaBirria which were also incredible, but definitely a bit more filling. Since we filled up on the appetizer he took the two remaining tacos for lunch the following day. We found our new favorite Mexican restaurant and Draft house! We will be coming back!!

Great little place. Good food, to spicy for me, if you like that then you won't be disappointed!!
David C — Google review
This place is great. The vibe is super cool. Love the exposed brick and cool art on the walls. The food here is fantastic! You can’t go wrong with the tacos and 24 craft brews they have on tap!
J A — Google review
Refined Mexican cuisine with unique and wonderful protein options like sour range and guajillo braised wild boar, Australian lamb, Scottish salmon, red wine and chile braised short rib. Pic is of the wild boar corn quesadilla. They also have a wide spectrum of craft beers on tap and a respectable selection of Japanese whiskies. Thanks, Mike, for the great service.
Jeffrey C — Google review
Like the atmosphere and the beer list. Was hoping for more local beers but they do have plenty to choose from. Had some of the tacos which were yummy. Only complaint is the beer seemed expensive but relatively similar pricing to other restaurants/bars in the area.

Live music venue
Nestled in the lively town of Beacon, The Vinyl Room is a delightful retreat for both music enthusiasts and culinary adventurers. As you enter this charming venue, you're instantly transported to a nostalgic era filled with art and vinyl records, highlighted by an iconic portrait of Frank Sinatra that greets you at the door.
What a great vibe this place has, especially on a nice day with the front open. Downstairs is a great place to have a private event with vintage video games and a separate bar area. The bartender was fantastic even though the day I was there. She was all on her own. Really nice selection of beer and cocktails and of course plenty of vinyl.

If you are looking for a chill place with great cocktails and yummy food this is the place. The bar tenders were friendly and attentive even switching the games on the television to make it easier to watch the knicks loose. At 930, the DJ came out and the vibes just got better.
Karin P — Google review
This place is very cool! I’d definitely come back just for the ambiance - forget the fact they have an arcade in the basement! There’s so many cool things to write about. Drinks were on point & my chicken tacos were delicious. There are a ton of different places to sit (bar, couches, high tops, etc). There’s even a turntable with vinyl records. So many unique attributes about TVR. Would highly recommend, especially if you are an avid music lover & want to see something different for a change.
Michele C — Google review
The Vinyl Room has a great vibe!! Just as importantly it probably the cleanest bar I have ever been in. I literally SMELLS CLEAN not like your typical stale beer bar. Kyle was whipping out awesome drinks and they have a nice but small happy hour menu. We had the carnitas tacos 👍, a couple of flavors of wings 👍 and the beef tallow fries (made me think of lessons in chemistry). All YUM!! Also tried the mocktail of “Houston we have a problem” which was only way to small because it was way to good.
Richard H — Google review
What a fun spot to stop in! From the hip-hop and pop culture décor to the cozy leather couches, this place instantly makes you feel at home. The food was on point—massive Smoked Buffalo Wings and Chicken & Waffles that were absolute heaven. The sweet and savory combo was perfect. To top it off, the tap list was incredibly well curated, featuring a mix of local gems like Hudson Valley and heavy hitters like Maine Beer Company and Monkish. As a bonus, you can even dig through some vinyl while you're there. Great vibes all around.
Chris — Google review
We had to order our drinks and food at the bar. The Korean Nachos were sooooo good. It's ribeye cut Bulgogi. Love the decor and the atmosphere.
Sonny N — Google review
Came here for a little double date night with my wife and friends and we had a wonderful time! Really cool vibe, love the arcade downstairs, food was really good and drinks were great! We ordered mostly appetizers to share, the wagyu sliders, beef tallow fries, potstickers, korean nachos, and the Brussels sprouts. Every plate was perfect 👌 we all really loved the fries! Definitely a great spot, I'd definitely come back!
Bryan T — Google review
My husband and I hosted our wedding after party here after our wedding reception at Hudson Valley Brewery. They were incredibly easy to work with, very reasonably priced, and every single person who came has been raving about it since. The staff was incredible, and it was perfect having the downstairs to ourselves along with the arcade games and food throughout the night. We would highly recommend booking your after party here!

Brewery
Event venue
Two Way Brewing Company is a laid-back taproom located on West Main Street, just a short walk from the Beacon Train Station. The taproom offers an ever-changing selection of artisanal beers and features an in-house brewery right next door. With a game room, outdoor seating, and food options from guest food trucks and pop-up vendors, it's a great spot to relax and enjoy craft brews. Families are welcome during the day, making it convenient for those traveling with kids.
A Must-Visit Spot for Beer Lovers! 2 Tides Brewing Company is an absolute gem. The space is incredible, with fun and creative decor spread across several uniquely themed rooms—it feels like there’s something new to discover around every corner. I tried a sour flight along with a flight of IPAs and imperial stouts, and everything was spot on. The flavors were fantastic, showcasing a real attention to craft. The vibe is super welcoming—I even met some awesome people and ended up hanging out in the record room, which was such a cool experience. Overall, it’s the perfect combination of great beer, a fun atmosphere, and friendly people. I can’t recommend it enough!

Really enjoyed the evening at Two Way Brewing Co! Was impressed with the brews and friendly atmosphere from everyone - so nice to sit outside on their patio with one of their in-house crafted beers and some popcorn to go with it. We’ll be back soon! Glad my dog could join too!

Lovely beers. Fresh, flavourful, and tasty. Pleasant atmosphere with lots of open space and wood decor. The staff are also very nice and the prices reasonable.

so cheap and delicious fresh beer. dont have food menu but you can order/bring.
Sol P — Google review
The drink was okay. The atmosphere was okay. The price is reasonable. It's not too far from the train station.
Albert C — Google review
I like the vibe of this place and would definitely come back for a drink in the future, probably not going to be a meal destination again. I’d say five star atmosphere/service, four star beer, three star food. The food was like a pressed panini made with store bought loaf bread and basic ingredients, definitely something I could make at home for a *much* cheaper price.
Samuel L — Google review
Good beer in a causal environment. A short distance from the train station. Since my last visit, they’ve done a expansion with a back room. The usual food truck is present.
Steven S — Google review
Great, casual local craft brewery spot. Bar food is really good and love the rotating drink selection here. Trivia night is fun on Thursdays and I am sure is a great place for board gaming meetups as well.

Video arcade
Happy Valley Arcade Bar is a unique spot that offers a combination of vintage arcade games and a bar experience. With 14 tap beers and an array of arcade games, it's the perfect place for fun-loving individuals. The establishment also features pinball machines and a simple yet enjoyable food menu with items like mozzarella sticks, tater tots, giant pretzels, and donuts from Glazed Over Donuts.
Fun and funky little arcade bar! Good draft beer selection and cocktails. Nice arcade games and outside areas.

Whatever you guys do , DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! On 7/2 I witnessed a staff member drop a mozzarella stick on the floor pick it up with the tongs , looked around to see if anyone saw and put it in my basket of food. When I told him I saw him what did he had nothing to say. That was the most disrespectful/disgusting thing ever. When I told him where the manager he pointed to a bartender , She didn’t even care. I ended up getting up and just walking out. If he did this to me, I can only imagine how many other times he did this to other people’s food. FIRE THAT DUDE
Caeley C — Google review
This place is definitely a vibe. I came here for the first time with some friends and I had a lovely time. There are some fun games, good drinks, and a great staff. It’s also a wonderful spot for cute dates, very LGBTQ friendly, and family friendly as well. Loved it! ☺️👾🎮🍻
Michaelangelo A — Google review
Awesome night out! The vibes are immaculate between the retro games, variety of events throughout the month, and the positive energy throughout. Service was good and bartenders handled the Saturday night crowd well. We came for the Dance Independent Electronic Artists Showcase. The artists fit the vibe well and there was something for everybody. The song selection was great, my group was singing along to every song. Drink variety is awesome! We tried the Pink Starburst, Danimals, and Apple Jax shots. Love the nostalgic, well thought out themed drinks. Me and my friend also got the Sex on the Koopa Troopa Beach and the Goo Lagoon (pictured). The drinks were great, worth the price. They come with a cute little candy but we ate those hehe.. They do have a limited selection of domestic beers and could probably expand this a bit. We did not get a chance to try any food but I have heard great things about it. They also have a reasonably priced vending machine with little snacks like chips, candy, Little Bites, etc. The variety of games is so exciting and there is a game for everybody. Games are reasonably priced and strategically spread out around the bar to avoid crowding and keep ample space between patrons. My only complaint is that games like Dance Dance Revolution are finicky as they are older. My friend tried to play on a more advanced level and the machine wasn’t picking up her movements. We are very understanding that these games are older and this did not bother us too much. Overall, awesome place for a night out in the Hudson Valley especially if the crowded club/bar scene isn’t really your thing!
Alyssa D — Google review
cool vibe inside and out, but probably wouldn’t come back. food was like really mid, obviously all frozen and fried, which is like kind of expected from a bar, but the quality for several items was really low. like the tater tots and fried pickles were undercooked and soggy. good vegetarian options though. bartender was friendly but seemed pretty scattered.
Rosemary M — Google review
I️ came into Happy Valley with my husband on Saturday night and the three women behind the bar were wonderful. The one with pink hair explained the local options they have and where we should go on our vacation. We will be back!
Eloise J — Google review
Its a cute place and an awesome thing to have and go for a random night in Beacon. Sometimes not all the games work or work correctly which is slightly dampening to your fun especially when there isn't alot of options to choose from. The pinball machines need to be 2 quarters also not 4.

Brewery
Industrial Arts Brewing Company, located in the Hudson Valley, offers a unique experience for beer enthusiasts. While their taproom is currently to-go only, visitors can still order online for convenient curbside pickup. The brewery recently opened a massive new beer garden and pub with plans to add on-site brewing. The ambiance is industrial with indoor seating and outdoor decks offering views of the mountains. Although there's no kitchen on-site, food delivery is an option.
We stopped in to Industrial Arts for the first time last Friday afternoon and had a very nice experience! Parking is plentiful and the interior of the brewery is beautiful. The gentleman behind the bar was very friendly and welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the beer. The tap list is extensive, and it was nice to see that they had a lot of beer to go in the coolers as well. I’m pretty certain they have food trucks in the evenings and overheard a few people talking about how good it is. We will stop in again next time we are near Beacon!

We hosted our Friday night wedding welcome event at Industrial Arts Brewing Company, and it was the perfect way to kick off our wedding weekend! The space is beautiful, the beer is amazing, and the staff was absolutely wonderful to work with. Communication throughout the planning process was smooth and easy, and Nina, the manager that night, was incredibly sweet and helpful—she made sure everything went off without a hitch. Even when we forgot a few things and needed to coordinate a pickup during the chaos of the weekend, the team was so understanding and accommodating. We felt genuinely supported and cared for from start to finish. Thank you to the whole Industrial Arts team for helping us start our celebration on such a high note—we’re so grateful! —Liz & Lex

Loved it! Great beers, great service, great food. First visit and super happy to have come in. High quality beers with a nice variety. The servers were awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was really good - I had their chicken sandwich; we shared the brussel sprouts appetizer. Great time with great friends. Will be back.

Great spot for grabbing a beer after a nice hike in the Beacon and Cold Spring area. Really like their IPA Power Tools and their hazy IPAs. Beautiful view of the mountains and dog friendly outdoors. Also there is a pizza truck that has amazing, Neapolitan Style pizza. It’s like being transported back to Naples. Must get!

Beer is amazing! So much variety including NA which was great because one of our friends doesn't drink. Their taproom was huge and amazing, their patio super comfortable. and they had great merch!

Nice mountain location but it’s a little far from town. No flights and a member of staff seemed annoyed when I asked them. Food is by food truck. Good selection of beers with a outside sitting area.
Steven S — Google review
After falling in love with their cans I decided to make the trip up to this brewery. I wasn’t disappointed, of course. The location is beautiful with cool vibes. The bartender was so nice and gave me recommendations for food in the city of beacon because they unfortunately didn’t have the food truck today. Only downfall was they didn’t allow dogs inside - considering how cold it was we only stuck around for one beer.
Elizabeth T — Google review
October 2023 - Arrived at 1205 on a Saturday and there were two tables seated and more people coming in. Probably a busy place when the weather is nice. Indoor seating, eight to ten picnic tables and two outdoor decks that have views of mountains. Nice ambiance but a little loud because of all the cement/metal industrial look. We sat inside because of rain but wished we could have been outdoors for the view and leaves changing. No kitchen (reason for only four stars) but can have food delivered. Wife had Metric Pilsner and I had the Torque Wrench DIPA. Both were very good. Appears to be kid friendly.

Cocktail bar
Wonderbar Beacon is a glamorous bar that takes you back to the Roaring 20s with its checkered floor and marble counter. The menu features tasty cocktails with fun names like Laugh It Up, Fuzzball, and a delicious selection of dishes including Truffle Tots, Avocado Fried Rice, Bhanger Steak, Chicken and Waffles, Shakshuka, and Steak and Eggs.
After eyeing this place for sometime, finally stopped by for lunch and was not disappointed. From the time we walked in the door until we left, the service was great. The restaurant was very clean and airy. Food, cocktail / mocktail, wine, beer menu was expansive. We ended up getting the truffle tots, Nashville dumplings, and the roasted salmon. Everything was delicious...the salmon was cooked exceptionally well. Will definitely be back.

Love this place! We enjoyed some amazing plates: shishito peppers, panzanella salad, truffle tots, quinoa salad with shrimp. Paired with a couple of pilsners … just great. Service was excellent. Love the vibe.

I had the burger and just water b/c I had a movie to catch. The service was great, place was clean. The burger was delicious. Only thing that was strange was that instead of fries it was served with what tasted like wise potato chips. It kinda cheapened it a bit… other than that it was a great quality burger. I will come again for drinks. The Bar is beautiful.
Omayra F — Google review
This is an amazing spot, great lighting & decor, friendly staff. A perfect spot for a date, and a great place to chill and have a great cocktail or two. I love the slightly vintage floors and furniture! The Nashville dumplings look awesome - the guy next to use are two orders!

Love Wonderbar!! We had our rehearsal dinner here and it was the perfect environment – pretty as is, great food & drinks, and really helpful management. We've also been by a few times for just appetizers and we love all the different options.
Rosie L — Google review
I was incredibly disappointed with my experience at Wonderbar. I arrived with my family (we are 5 altogether) and we were told that there would be a 45 minute wait for a table, which wasn’t a problem. We put our name on the list and proceeded to get a drink from the bar while we waited. While we were waiting to order at the bar, a manager came up to us and told us that we were not allowed to order from the bar while we waited for our table to be ready. Not only that, but she told us that we were crowding the bar and that we needed to wait elsewhere, as in outside the restaurant. Throughout this time, we were quiet and polite, not creating any kind of disturbance that would warrant a refusal of service. After a long and difficult week, all we wanted was a refreshing cocktail while waiting for our table, and we explained this to the manager. She did not listen and held firm that we could not order cocktails while waiting for our table. I politely asked the manager if I could stay at the bar and order on behalf of my family while they waited in the waiting area, so as to not crowd the bar, but she again told me no, that nobody was allowed to stand at the bar and that I had to wait until I was seated at a table to order a beverage (keep in mind we had a 45 minute wait). Completely turned off, my family of 5 decided to go elsewhere and not return. We have dined in many restaurants in small towns and large cities alike, all at peak dining times, and NEVER have we been told that we could not have a drink from the bar while waiting for our table. We will not be returning, and if anyone is considering dining at Wonderbar and there is a wait for a table, know that you will be turned away from the bar and asked to wait possibly up to an hour until your table is ready, without any water or beverage.
Justin T — Google review
Fun and different atmosphere. Their cocktail menu was fun and delicious. Bartenders and staff were top notch! We will go again soon. This was our second visit. First time we had a light meal and saw Reservoir Dogs! Good times.

Unique location. Food was good and reasonably priced. Service was a little spotty, very nice and caring staff, but food was very slow and had to ask multiple times for resolution of incomplete orders. Wouldn't stop me from going again, just would try somewhere else before.

Max's on Main is a lively pub located at the corner of Main and N. Walnut Streets in Beacon, offering American comfort food, beers, and live music on weekends. PLEASE GO IF YOU ARE IN TOWN!! It was Saturday night, 2/10/24. I was in town with a relative and Went to Main Street in Beacon alone. I just wanted to see what the town was like and all of a sudden. The whole town went black!! Lights appeared In front of me, the only thing that was lit up in the town. The music entertainment was fun and appropriate for the atmosphere. Very talented guys. I went there as a southern lady from Ga, kind of skeptical about going in alone, but I was greeted with a friendly smile from the girl bartender. I had a wonderful few minutes speaking with a gentleman in this establishment. After speaking with him a few minutes, it turned out he was the owner of Max's Place. Wow was he nice and welcoming. I would have never guessed he was the owner. This place I recommend sincerely because the service is amazing and the atmosphere is very friendly and fun. I'm happy the town went black and I found this cozy place to go in and sit to rest my feet, after being in the city all day walking. Having a cold beer at the bar was nice. No one messed with me. So, thank you to the young lady bartending, whom I don't know her name, and to the gentleman who made me feel comfortable at the bar (the owner) Sorry, I am not positive of his name and I won't assume that it is Max.

Overall I would give Max’s on Main a 4.2 so that’s how I ended on 4 stars. By the time we got there in the afternoon the sun was shining, blue skies and definitely felt spring in the air. This was a huge difference from earlier in the day with a cold fog and rain. So let’s get into the Pros vs Cons Pros - The waiter was FRIENDLY!! This is the kind of person you want waiting on you in any service industry situation. He was kind, knowledgeable, attentive and welcoming. - Over all the food was good, some things to be desired, but I’ll save it for cons. - Much like another place I rated in the area, the price was a bit high but for the area you are in, that needs to be taken into account and expected. - They are dog friendly if you are eating at the tables on the sidewalk (this will come up in the cons) Cons - I want to first say that I found the service to be truly wonderful, as mentioned before. However, if I am being honest, there is one thing that could have been better. It took an extremely long time before the waiter came back out to check on us which felt strange considering how great he was in every other way. - The pierogies we’re good with the sautéed onions, however, I have been eating pierogies since I was a little chubby boy and these seemed to be just ordinary store bought potato and cheese. If they were freshly made, the price was worth it, but if I am right, they are WAY over priced for store bought and I am shocked. The cajun chicken alfredo was a flavor bomb, but such a small portion, again, considering the price. - The next two cons are not restaurant specific but also is the area and town. — The first is the seating area. The sidewalk is a bit slanted which means as you sit there your chair rocks and so does the table. This makes, being comfortable, is not that easy. — The second one is the size of the sidewalk. At some points it was so crowded that people were nearly touching us getting by the table area. — Again, not the restaurants fault but shared with the area/town — In the end, next time I head to this town, which I may for the antique and thrift shops, I will try another place.

Great spot to grab a beer (two local IPAs on tap, plus whatever else you’d want). It’s a classic joint, half-sports bar, half-classic rock vibe, so enough for everyone. Straightforward American menu done well. Nice story and history (read the back of the menu), established 1921, captures the character of the community’s old school vibe, no fuss service and friendly faces asking if things are good.
Justin R — Google review
This is your standard pub/bar with good food and very large portions. The baby back ribs were tender and juicy. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The wedge fries were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My only issue was that the ribs were served lukewarm to room temperature.
TravelingGayPanda — Google review
Nice staff. We sat outside, ordered boys had the kids steak and grilled cheese. I ordered the whiskey ribeye. It was great especially the butter they put on top. Dropped a star because I ordered my steak rare and it came out medium well.

Such good food! The vibe of the bar was also very comfortable -- would definitely have a drink inside. Ordered the Santa Fe Max, my partner tried the steak sandwich (Phenomenal fries!!), and we shared the Beacon Rolls (basically like savory Chinese beef egg rolls). Definitely will visit again.

Loved it. In an historic building, brick walls, tin ceiling, vintage bar - had a cool, hippie vibe. Food very good, pulled pork best I ever had. Fun place for casual dining.
JoAnn N — Google review
Hands down, absolutely the best steak sandwich I have ever had. The steak was cooked to perfection, the provolone was melted perfectly, and the Portuguese roll makes the sandwich what it is, AWESOME. She had the teriyaki wings, extra crispy and it was finger licking good. Our waitress was so friendly & always smiling. We will be driving back again in a few weekend just to have another dose of Max’s on Main. Can’t suggest it enough!!

Bar & grill
Baja 328 Tequila Bar Southwest Grill is a vibrant and narrow locale adorned with contemporary art, offering an extensive selection of over 100 tequilas and unique margaritas. The restaurant features a glassed front wall that opens onto outdoor seating when the weather permits. It's known for its live entertainment and boasts a menu with starters, tacos, quesadillas, main plates like Steak Ranchero and Fajitas, as well as desserts.
Stopped in late afternoon on a whim. Liked the decor, kind of reminded me of Texas. My kid had tacos, I had the taco salad. Portions were large, food was very good and my drink was marvelously spicy. Prices were very reasonable - overall an enjoyable bite to eat and a quick drink.
Lisa M — Google review
Genuinely some of the worst tasting food I’ve ever had. Went with fajitas and it tasted like reheated Asian frozen chicken and bell peppers. Incredibly salty and dry chicken. Basic margaritas were watery and barely tasted of lime.

There are plenty of other better authentic Mexican restaurants in the Hudson Valley. The food here is overpriced and it’s either alright or horrible. I’ve been here four or five times with my friends, always willing to give it another shot and that shot ends up hitting me and my wallet in the face. The hostesses are incredibly sweet, all the other staff not so much. I’ve heard plenty of horror stories about the bar that steers me next door to Quinns. Spend your money elsewhere

Came here for a quick bite and some drinks and they did not disappoint. The wait staff had great recommendations. Even when one of my friends didn't like her beer they switched it out. If you come here anything try there flights! They have quite a few weeks stuck with the Blanco, but they do have Reposado, and Mezcal . Inviting to all walks of life, a great place to unwind and chill.

Baja 328 is absolutely worth the trip. The cocktails are great and the tacos are very tasty, everything we had was delicious. The atmosphere is loud but intimate, and the staff was very friendly, focused and prompt. It’s always a delight to see wait staff that know their business with little wasted movement. We will definitely eat here again next time we’re in Beacon.

Decided to try this place since it looked nice from the outside. Drinks were good . I ordered flautas and got an order of heated up taquitos instead. Super disappointed. Not a real Mexican Joint . Over priced and food is mid. Will not recommend

I've been here multiple times. The food was always extremely flavorfull and tasty. Most times the services are quite large and I would have to take it home. Drinks always sounded unique and tasty-- if I ever had one though it was not memorable. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for mexican in the area. Especially great during the summer as they are able to completely open the front and get fresh air.

Good atmosphere and nice waiters. They have good Tacos which are 3 for $18 and their seasonal apple cinnamon margarita was good. However, it was full of ice.

Hudson Valley Food Hall is a newly opened, charming food hall with a few stalls currently open, offering mostly meat-heavy options. Once all the tenants are up and running, along with The Roosevelt Bar obtaining its liquor license, it's expected to become one of the top spots in town for a quick bite. Visitors particularly enjoyed the mural in the back courtyard.
Hudson Valley Food Hall is a food lover's paradise! Located in the heart of Beacon, NY, this place offers an incredible variety of cuisines all under one roof. From mouth-watering tacos to delicious Asian fusion and gourmet comfort food, there’s something for every palate. The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, perfect for a casual night out or a weekend brunch. The communal seating adds a fun, social vibe, and the staff at each vendor are friendly and passionate about their food. If you're in the Hudson Valley, this food hall is a must-visit. Five stars all the way!

I loved the place because you can select the kind of food that you loved to try, few outlets to sell different food. Unfortunately, because it was still on holiday season, some of outlets are closed. I ordered the mexican food outlet and bought large nachos. It is very large and ok for the taste. We can bring our dog also to eat indoor to avoid the cold outside. Loved the toilet, full of posters.

Amazing food! it was so fresh and such warm service. We had Tara’s (middle eastern/indian fusion food) and not only was their service amazing as they were so sweet and welcoming but the food is made fresh and delicious. Huge portions too for the price. highly recommend!

Food was fairly good but service wasn't up to the mark in terms of cleaning the tables after the previous customer left. We were constrained to clean the table ourselves with the help of napkins. Both the restrooms had water all over the floor and we were there for almost an hour but the situation only deteriorated. If it weren't for the quality of the food, the prices, the ample serving size and the wide variety of items available across the various stalls I would never recommend this place to anyone. We visited the Hudson valley food hall on July 6, 2024 between 2.00 PM and 2.45 PM.

They need to update their website as the Japanese Fusion spot I ordered from isn't featured on there while places that no longer have spots in there are still featured on the website. Not doing new businesses any favors. That said I ordered a steak chimichurri onigiri from the Japanese Fusion spot and it was really tasty! They give you two onigiris, first was perfect, second the steak was a bit tough. I wish I could remember their name to credit them properly.

Cool spot right on Main st with individual stands that have a variety of foods, we tried the Nicaraguan food stand and everything was great! He cooked it right in front of us so everything was hot and fresh. I went again after that to the Mexican stand and got Carnitas tacos, they were a little pricey but they were delicious. Will be back for sure.

I had been looking forward to visiting this Food hall only to be disappointed. It is very small and lacking in great selections. The ice cream shop was my only favorite thing there, the owner was super friendly but everyone else seemed very eager to close their shop and not make a sale on a Sunday at 5 pm. The guy from Tacos Al Dente was extremely rude and refused to sell to us I guess because we were a party of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids), he began shooing us and sending us over to another vendor and told us “not here - over there.”To my surprise, he gladly serviced and rung up another customer right after sending us over to another vendor so I guess it was just our party size that got us excluded. Another vender put up his closed sign as we were looking at his menu and when I politely asked what time they closed, he couldn’t give me a specific time. Maybe it was just a bad day to visit this place but overall, a very disappointing experience - I do not recommend this food hall. There are a lot more welcoming restaurants and people not too far from this place.

Consistently rude over the years in the concert/event space. There’s a disgruntled crotchety male employee back there that treats patrons like trash even though tickets are over $30 each. It’s not just me, I saw him scold an elderly woman for literally nothing in front of me too and the poor lady was beside herself. This happened to me with the SAME guy when I cane in for an expensive show over 3 years ago. The bar has good service up front and a solid variety of drink options if that’s all you’re showing up for.

Wonderful venue! This past weekend was my first time visiting the Towne Crier (I know, what took me so long?) and I loved every minute of it. I went to see an amazing Simon and Garfunkle tribute band ("Forever Simon and Garfunkle") Friday night and an amazing Neil Young cover band ("Broken Arrow") on Saturday night. I did notice on both evenings the person next to me was enjoying a piece of carrot cake that looked awesome. I might have to return just to try that! Special thank you to Phil for making me feel so welcome. I'll definitely be back! It was such a pleasure listening to music without a lot of chatter in the room in such a cozy, intimate setting!

I purchased tickets to see a show with dinner reservations. We were seated at a table for two, our waitress was attentive and took our drink and appetizer order. The drinks were made well and the food was just as good. The room was a little wider than deep and was set up with tables to seat two, four or six people. We sat near the rear but every seat had a good view of the stage. We saw the Led Zeppelin tribute band “The Prezence”. The band was excellent and we had a great night. As soon as we see another band we like we will be back.

Been here twice after hiking in Beacon. We come here because it’s pet friendly and they have an outdoor area. Overall it’s a very down to earth vibe. The food is ok, the burger was pretty good. The wings weren’t too bad but nothing out of this world. Fries were not good. Last time we were there we did not have the best customer service experience. Our food was over an hour late. We were a group of 3, and 3 other tables who sat after us got their food first. One of them who was a group of 6. When we asked the waiter, all he said was “let me check on it”. And then came back to say “it’s coming right out”. No acknowledgement of the issue or delay, or even an “I’m sorry”. It just wasn’t great CS from my perspective. Other than that, it’s a good place if you’re looking for outdoor sitting and pet friendly.

Wonderful restaurant with amazing food. I grew up in Fishkill in the 80s & 90s and I am shocked at how different Beacon is these days. Met a friend and walked up and down Main Street. We looked at a couple different menus before finding Melzingah, but they hooked me with their diverse menu offerings. My friend (who's still local) said the menu changes seasonally. He opted for a Vegan Burger and I went for the Red Coconut Curry Stew with Chicken. Both dishes were out of this world. I also got a refreshing vodka citrus drink (don't remember the name), but it hit the spot on a warm spring day. The staff was just as excellent and super knowledgeable (our server is the one who recommended the stew). I will definitely stop here again the next time I am visiting the area.

Melzingah features one of the best dining menus in the Hudson Valley, period. Their lobster pasta is out of this world. They always have a great atmosphere and it’s a bit removed from the madness of the center of Main Street. It’s very popular so make sure you get there with enough time or call ahead.

We were looking for a great date night spot and found this place after driving around Newburgh/beacon. The hanger(hungry+anger) was slowly creeping in when we finally found parking and came here. Instant 10/10 just from the atmosphere alone. Dimmed and cozy. The first round of drinks were so good me and hubby were definitely buzzed before our main meal came 😅😅 it was super busy and we were still surprised at how fast (and delicious) the food came out. The bartenders were so sweet amidst all the chaos. Cant wait to go back!

Just visited Melzingah Tap House for the first time last week. We arrived a few minutes early so it gave us the opportunity to visit the local shops on the strip which was super fun too, so on a visit you could make a day of it. The warm wooden decor with wrought iron design is classy and inviting. The service and waitstaff were professional and fun she shared the daily specials too which we tried as well. Despite being a brew house we enjoyed some lovely fresh cocktails including a Lyres Bees Knees so delicious We also enjoyed the famous Parmesan truffle fries 🍟 omg 😳 yum!! The steak sliders and sandwich as well as the special which was shaved pork and Kimchi grilled chese 😋 Definitely looking forward to another visit as there is so much to try on this changing, creative menu - well done!

Band was amazing and drinks were great, but our server was weirdly judgy. Food was very mid which was unexpected for a restaurant with this many good reviews. We ordered burgers and some pastas for our group and everything was just....meh. The burgers were all rare in the middle when we asked them to be cooked medium well. The pasta was mediocre at best. The price to quality ratio did not make it worth it at all.

As a business owner on Main Street in Beacon, I am careful about my reviews. But… I cannot say enough good things about Carters. But, here’s a start 1) The food is sooo flavorful with many healthy but delicious options. I was exhausted after 12+ hours on my feet, and when I walked in hungry & tired, John, the owner got me a seat at the bar and showed me his new menu. I ordered the salmon romanesco with house made fried potatoes. It was so incredibly delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The lemonny, tomatey, red peppery, and secret spicy sauce was the perfect pairing with the salmon. Seriously a 10/10. Okay, #2 John is the quintessential host and his team is just as welcoming. # 3 EVERYONE IS WELCOMED at Carters. They are inclusive, kind and bring a special kind of joy to the restaurant #4 the music in front & the quiet out back. The setting is perfect for someone who wants a quiet place or a place to be entertained. #5, and of course the drinks. If you wanna feel home away from home but get a better meal then you can get at home, Carter’s is the place.

We had one night in the Beacon area so we tried checking out as many local spots as we could, this led us to getting to Pillow & Oats with only about 40-45 minutes before they closed. (We try not to go in anywhere within an hour of them closing). The girl working the bar was super nice and didn’t make us feel rushed at all, she even gave us some other suggestions for the rest of our trip around the Hudson Valley area and we had some nice conversation. I wish I got her name so she got the recognition she deserves for being awesome! We each just ordered a pint and both of our beers were quite good. The brewery itself is a cute little space on the Main Street through Beacon with plenty of bar seating, table seating, and even some merch! We had a nice time during our short visit and would gladly stop in again next time we are in the area.

Been here a few times and I’ve always had a great experience. Came here with my partner this evening to have some drinks before dinner. The bartender working was super nice to us, he accidentally spilled a drink on my partner and was so hospitable towards us and apologetic. Mistakes happen and there’s no hard feelings! He comped our tab and gave my partner a shirt. Wish I got his name or had cash to leave him a tip, but hopefully he reads this and knows we’re not upset and he was so nice about it. Would highly recommend this spot when you’re in Beacon!

Honestly, the food and beer here are solid. But the poor review is due to the unpublished closing times; apparently they close at 8:00pm on Sundays [not 10:00pm]. Keep that in mind.
Eric P — Google review
A new space with varied brews but the decor needs a little tlc. No flights and no food. In a town with superior brewpubs like Hudson Brewing around it might have to up its game to succeed.

What an incredible soft opening at Pillow and Oats (new local brewery). The beer is incredible!! Very spacious for a micro brewery. Welcoming atmosphere that's family friendly. Modern industrial vibes that's just simple but just perfect. Definitely a new local favorite.

Dogwood is a popular hangout spot known for its American and global cuisine, seasonal craft beers, and live music. Located in Beacon, it offers a great selection of cocktails including the expertly made Bloody Mary and the signature Dogwood Rita. The menu features pub food such as pimento grilled cheese and stacked burgers with bacon, jalapeno, and barbecue sauce. Despite being off the main drag, this cozy bar attracts locals with its friendly atmosphere and regular live music performances on weekends.
A old fashioned hipster bar with real atmosphere. The kind of vibe you want to see in this kind of establishment. Add food and music … what more do you want ?

Great pub! Nice beer selection, nice crowd and atmosphere! I was alone so I ate the bar. Nice menu, different, way better than the standard pub food! I lucked out with live music, no cover!

Cool spot. Live music sometimes. Solid drinks list (beers and hard liquor). The food is...ehhh. I ordered a medium hamburger and got a well done brick. My friend's panko chicken was fried to death. Come for the booze.

Gosh! This delightfully fine establishment served me what must have only been my second ever pickle back that I have consumed upon my travels within the United States of America. It was definitely in the top two of the pickle backs I have ever had, and so henceforth I would like to commend this fine bar for their beverages, service and general good atmosphere which made for a jolly old time.

Have never had a bad experience here. Good drinks, great rotating beers, excellent staff. Might have to go to Tokyo to find better wings.
Paul H — Google review
Nice local bar with great beer selections. Usually they have some interesting band playing there too, mostly weekends. I haven't tried the food, so this rating is based solely on the selection, beer, and atmosphere. Much nicer than many other bars.

Went here for an after wedding party and it was so much fun! The staff were super accommodating and nice! They even sang along with the crowd a few times which was great. Their French fries and mozzarella sticks were so good, but that opinion could be from the loads of alcohol from the wedding :)

I read a review of Dogwood about new and popular places in beacon to try. I saw a mediocre food menu, interesting cocktail menu, and live music offering so I expected a dive bar vibe. What I got was a tragically hip bar pretending to be a dive. The bartender was rude to my party because we had a table and told us that our server would be over to take our order because they didn't want to overload the bar and kitchen. It was 7pm on a Friday night with no discernable rush and it was 3 people. We each ordered a drink but substitutions had to be made because they didn't have components for the drinks. Between lackluster drinks, annoyed servers, and a general blah atmosphere I can't recommend this place as a go to destination. It's a stop on a pub crawl at best

Not sure why all the negative reviews, Joes is a great local pub. Stopped by today with a large group of all ages from 4-64 and we were all welcomed warmly by the staff and patrons. The bartender could not be nicer offering snacks to the kids and the drink prices were very reasonable. Clean restrooms and a jukebox, what more could you ask for? Loved it.

Went here for my friends 23rd birthday. He somehow got denied and they wete very rude in doing so. We just wanted a couple drinks but we seemed like a bother. Anywhere but here.

Went for a friends birthday and the waitress was highly unprofessional and rude. On top of that during a pandemic they didn’t clean and place was really dirty! Highly outdated. Wouldn’t suggest

a crusty old sot, ok "open" (not really open) mic music on second Saturdays, though you really need to be an insider. Why? Also, how open mic with 1 hr sets? Clean bathrooms. Beware: GI Jane bartender can be vicious.

Great place to have a terrific burger and come St. Patrick's Day wouldn't go anywhere else for my Corned Beef
Sue R — Google review
Good bar in a good area to have a drink. Reasonably priced and nice bartenders.
Stephen S — Google review
Idk about the negative reviews, we came here and the bartender was super friendly.
Sandy R — Google review
Bartender had a massive attitude. Terrible customer service. Avoid
