Bar
Orange Pub, formerly known as Tabacon, is a popular nightclub in Jaco that offers lively shows and an easygoing vibe. It features American-style bar food, large TVs for sports viewing, and outdoor seating. The club hosts live music on some nights and is a hotspot for tourists exploring the nightlife scene in Jaco. With DJs from Costa Rica and Central America, Orange Pub provides great music for dancing and partying.
LISTEN, we came here with a larger party VIP style (reserved tables and bottles) and this was hands down some of the BEST service we've ever received (and we've done Vegas, NY, Berlin). They take their VIP/table service/sections serious and it should be this way. Also, unlike (in most placed in the US) they WORK for their tips (and really don't expect them (10% is usually included)). We were treated like VIP from the minute we walked in, even had an escort to the bathroom (for anyone in our group who needed to go) that cut through the crowd and then bathroom line, whaaaat??? that's GOLD and the ladies know this! The DJ was on point and the prices were more than fair. I believe we paid $1200 for 3 (1L) bottles of Ciroq with plenty of sides and Red Bull, that also included some other drinks and shots that we ordered. I can't speak for the experience for someone walking in and ordering at the bar, but if you want to have safe fun and do it up VIP style, this was ON POINT and they will NOT let people into your area either..AWESOME!

Experience at Orange Pub** We traveled from the United States to Costa Rica as a group of friends excited to explore and enjoy the local culture. As Latinos, we feel a strong connection to the places we visit, and we were looking forward to a great time at the Orange Pub. Unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable. When we first arrived, the service was mediocre at best. After a couple of hours of consuming beers, we decided to grab a bite to eat at the restaurant across the street. When we attempted to return to the Orange Pub, we were denied entry. The staff insisted that we had to purchase a bottle of whiskey to get back in, which felt both unreasonable and unfair. The security personnel were rude and displayed a level of disrespect that was shocking. It became clear that our treatment was influenced by our ethnicity, making us feel unwelcome in a place As travelers who embrace different cultures, we cannot recommend the Orange Pub to anyone. This experience left a sour taste in our mouths, and we would advise our friends and family to steer clear of this establishment during their visits to Costa Rica.

THIEVES!!! The employees here will not only charge you $200 more than what a bottle shows, but then come by your table and take drinks of the bottle I purchased without any permission even after being told not to!! I purchased a $290 bottle for the table after being told i was REQUIRED to buy a bottle to be in the section almost 30 minutes after they sat us down. The section next to us had a bucket of beer, so we asked if we could purchase a bucket of beer, and were told no. We could either buy a bottle or leave. So I purchased the cheapest bottle on the menu. Throughout the whole night, several employees would stop by the table and pour the bottle and take shots without permission. I told them to stop on several occasions and they told us “it was part of the experience and we could leave if we didn’t like it.” The next morning, I had a charge over over $400 on my card.. The only purchase I made that night was the $290 bottle and a few waters.. No where close to $400 and my party didn’t even get to enjoy the whole bottle because the staff drank half of it!!! I talked to security the following day and was told the manager would return around midnight the next night and would be able to help. When we came back, the same security was extremely rude and told us we were being petty about a $400 charge when other people come and spend thousands of dollars.. and that the manager wasn’t even coming in. The only offer they gave us was a house bottle of champagne and would not ever provide a receipt even after asking for it. I would not recommend ANYONE to go here due to how rude, and shady the staff was. They will steal your money and your drinks.
Kaylynn C — Google review
This place is very racist !!! As a Latino women, they say there was no hats allowed. Then we saw few people inside waiting hats. After consuming a lot of money, we saw that other people waiting hats and we question what’s going on with the favoritism. So, they stated “ we not paying bottle service money” so that’s why we can’t wear a hat ! With nasty attitude and discrimination Mean while we spent more then anybody since we been there for the past 4 hours now they have 3 extra foreign people and then they now have policy and procedures ! Yet the same peoole wearing hat! Discussing !!!*** Don’t own the right to photo***
Cheyla S — Google review
I practically live here in Jaco, first time coming here to Orange Pub. And the people that work there are impolite and aggressive, even when you are not doing anything to receive that kind of treatment. I was just standing there doing nothing, and because I was kinda blocking the way, one of the security guards or bartenders (not sure) hit me a couple of times on my arm. Instead of just politely saying "excuse me", I understand they're "security", but in a place where there's a lot of tourists (locals and internationals), they should give people a better service. This is why some people don't go back to visit places like this, they are rude as hell
Rgar97 — Google review
Came here over the weekend with a group of 7 and wow. Dj plays hits, table service is 10/10 and good environment. Staff is wonderful.
Fernando G — Google review
I’m an american with Latin background, after spending millions of colones they started mis treating me. Once actual looking like americans come they refused to give us service after knowing we spending more then everyone else. Everyone its rude the one person was nice was the bartender lady after that everyone was classist.
Carloa M — Google review
Segurito guard manager is very racial !! Ay First he Saw we was spending A lot Of money now all of the sudden when other people arrived he say I needed it to buy bottle to wear a hat! Mean while the other people were wearing hats and was wearing worst dress code then us. When we questioned he stated that it’s the club policy and that if we didn’t want to follow it go somewhere else to drink. While other people inside that was tourist was wearing hats and anything else like they was just coming form beach. Very racist not recommended it .

It's known for its vibrant nightlife scene and is popular among well-heeled locals. The open-air bar and lounge provide a chic atmosphere where guests can savor delicious cocktails and tapas while enjoying the tropical breeze.
Great after hours place to go to continue your night after other places close. Friendly staff not crazily over priced drinks and great music until 5am
Nick C — Google review
Don't go here before 11:00pm. Doesn't start getting busier till later. And most of that is due to it being open the later than other establishments. Frequented by working girls looking for a job.
J D — Google review
Terrible experience. The OWNER was talking to my friend for a few minutes before he grabbed her by the belt loop, pulled it open and stood there staring down her pants. She told him repeatedly she is married and she has to leave. When we asked why he is doing that, he responded, "Because I can". We called him out on it, and his mini-me friend continued to threaten to beat us up until we left the front door.

Awesome music and set up!! Owner is a cool guy that likes to make sure everyone is having fun. Great place to party.

"A" | Very "beach-like" club its on the second floor so it makes use of its name. Usually this is where the afterparty continues or revs up. Very sensual place. Everyone should finish each night checking this place out.

Waist of money greedy owner charges 3000 colones entrens I paid after I haven't visited since before the pandemic waste of money they overcharge on alcohol as well wont donate a dime to this place.

Restaurant
Jacó Blu Beach Club is a top spot in Jacó Beach for enjoying a Costa Rican-style party with great drinks and a safe, fun atmosphere. The club features a pool in the middle of the venue and a bar right by the sea, providing refreshing sea breezes. With exotic palm trees creating a magical ambiance, it's perfect for both day and night parties. Guests can enjoy various pools, sip on cocktails, and groove to good music.
We bought the week pass so we could come hang out after our tours or when we didn’t really have anything to do. It’s a beautiful place. And most times we had it to ourselves.
Judith M — Google review
Jaco beach, at least in this area is run down and this place definitely looks better in pictures online compared to in person. The beach in this area is not nice. Its dirty beach. The pictures are nice but I wouldn't go here to lay out and swim.

Nice place to sit and watch the sunset! Has outdoor shower to wash off sand. Highly recommend the mago daiquiri!

Awesome find! We stumbled upon this place for lunch and absolutely loved it! The food was AMAZING and my kids enjoyed swimming in the contemporary pool while we waited for the food. The food...was....delicious! I will for sure be back. Five stars, plus my compliments to the chef! Reina was our waitress, and she was beautiful and friendly, and that made our day!
Dana F — Google review
Good service at a good price. This is my spot in Jaco.
Caliph A — Google review
Good spot to enjoy the day at the beach. We had massages, sat by the pool and dined there for lunch. There was plenty of shade for this fair skinned gal! The tuna was excellent. The food is a little pricey except the casada is a good deal and served before 4pm. The service isn't overly friendly or attentive.
Be E — Google review
Good is place for drinks and food. But slow service.

I loved the atmosphere. It was highly recommended by our hotel staff as the place to be. They were right. It is situated on the beach with a pool in the middle and is lavishly decorated in white. There is a very attentive staff and an eclectic mix of patrons. We were back the following day to have lunch...with the iguanas. As we were leavivng we met Tim, one of the owners. An awesome guy! I wish him much success. 😊😎

Bistro
Graffiti Restro Cafe & Wine Bar is a must-visit spot in Jaco, offering a diverse menu featuring sushi from the freshest catch of the day, locally sourced vegetarian dishes, and specialty items like coffee-rubbed beef tenderloins and tuna tartare. This bistro-style restaurant opens for dinner and serves fresh seafood, meats, and vegetarian options made from sustainable ingredients.
This place was exactly what I imagined. Very cool vibe. The service was fantastic. Sabrina, our server, was very pleasant and took her time to answer all our questions from the menu. The food was on point. We had the catch of the day, Mahi Mahi and tenderloin. Well prepared and seasoned. The sangria was absolutely delicious. Made with real fruit. I normally like red sangria but the white one was actually tastier. Also, the recommended cab from Chile was good. They do have certain bottles of wine open if you want to order a glass. This place is opened by an American. Don’t forget to tip here.
Michael Y — Google review
Steak salad is amazing. So tender and flavorful. The fish was the best my husband has had. There was a musician in the courtyard outside of the restaurant was an added bonus!
Carol P — Google review
Highly recommend if you’re in Jaco and want great food, fantastic staff, and a cozy yet stylish spot! We absolutely loved dining at Graffiti Restro Café & Wine Bar! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which set the tone for the whole evening. The drinks were delicious - expertly mixed and refreshing. But what really stood out was the food: fresh seafood and fish, prepared with care and flavor. The ambiance is lovely - relaxed but elegant, perfect for a memorable night out.
Christina E — Google review
This restaurant is incredibly delicious! High notes were the cacao & coffee rubbed beef tenderloin, and try The Elvis for dessert! It is a crispy fried French toast pastry with bananas and peanut butter with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We tried it off of the recommendation of our wonderful server, Brie. She gave us some of the best service we had on our entire Costa Rica vacation. Try this place out, you won’t regret it!
Ali M — Google review
Stopped by Jaco on our last night at CR and grabbed dinner at Graffiti Restaurant. Our waiter was super friendly and very welcoming. Restaurant itself and its surroundings is quite clean and inviting. We ordered the airplane chicken special, poke bowl, and chicken tenders. They offer a kid menu which is a plus. Our food came out fresh and delicious. Happy hour prices on drinks is a bargain. Only down side is they don’t have their own restroom. You’d have to use the restroom serving the plaza.
John T — Google review
The menu is unique and the food is delicious. I recommend the beef tenderloin, the Cajun fries, and the fish tacos. We also had a bottle of Merlot which paired well with everything. Overall, the restaurant has a really nice vibe and located in a great area.
Ephraim F — Google review
Ive visited this restaurant 3 times over the last few years and it never disappoints. This time however, was exceptionally good. We started with the tuna tar tar tower, a few Caribe-tinis and had Churrasco with mashed potaties and tempura veggies, and the pork ribs with grilled veggees and rice. We finished with the french toast banana dessert. Every bite was incredible and the textures and flavors make this place feel like a Michellin Star eatery. The decor and vibe is urban trendy and the staff projected the same chill energy. Caveat..it is one of the most expensive restaurants in Jaco, but the overall experience was well worth the price.
Paul B — Google review
Loved it from the moment we walked in. There may not be a beach view, but it’s in the back of an adorable pedestrian courtyard and has really cool decor full of plants and paintings. Service is attentive and friendly — exactly what you’d want. Cocktails were delicious. We had at least 5 different ones, and each one was fantastic. The toasted cocktail rim on the coconut margarita was truly special. Great wine options too like the French rosé. Loved the food as well. Candied pork belly appetizer is crispy and so prettily plated. Chicken stuffed with pear and Gouda and bacon is top notch. Mahi filet was tender and juicy. House salad is huge and really flavorful.

The club plays a mix of Hip Hop and Latin beats and is open from Thursday to Saturday.

Really good food! One of the best cheeseburgers I’ve ever had! Great customer service. They were very accommodating. The black chairs we were sitting in were extremely uncomfortable so we traded them out with ones with cushions. They didn’t have an IPA in stock so they sent someone to the liquor store to get more. We were a party if 6, they don’t split checks, which I have found is standard for Costa Rica. Fun music, with a welcoming vibe.

I really enjoyed eating there, the food was fantastic and very reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in jaco. Also the portions were large always left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. The staff is excellent and the owner cares about his restaurant. I would highly recommend eating there.

The guys who work here are some of the kindest people I've met. I was robbed in the street and they bent over backwards to help me in my hour of need. Marcelo and Estela were incredibly helpful in assisting me block my cards and even gave me money for a taxi back to the apartment. They helped turn a bad experience into a good one. I didn't get a chance to enjoy the atmosphere there but all in all, lovely people and the place deserves to be popular.

This place is not worth going if it isn't Friday or Saturday night. Service was subpar and not very friendly. It was empty as they don't have all of the rooms open or DJs during the week. We stayed for one over priced drink and left.

The club offers great specials and features go-go dancers around the bar, creating an energetic atmosphere. With its cool balcony and sizzling rooftop parties, XTC provides an unforgettable experience for partygoers. The club's friendly staff and generous VIP treatment add to its allure, while its Miami-inspired ambiance and quality service attract a lively crowd.
We had a blast in XTC.. we had our own VIP area & the staff was very generous to say the least. The "locals" (or the girls anyway) weren't very friendly but we had a great time amongst ourselves!

Seemed decent. Hours are incorrect on google which I corrected. We got to the establishment early on a Sunday but google had them listed as closed and they were not. They have a roof top party at the end of the night that is supposed to be fun. Security was extremely friendly but it is in a high traffic party area if you know what I mean, so be safe and watch your wallets.

Fantastic local craft brewery in Jaco. I think between my wife and I we tried all the beers on tap and liked them all. Great facility, with lots of room inside and out, family friendly, great staff. We ordered drinks and shots but never received the first round of shots. We let the waitress know that we were waiting for the round of shots. She brings them and then we order a second round. When the bill came they charged us for the first round of shots. I immediately let the waitress know that we did not get the first round. She goes to the back and the manager comes out and says, “the other waitress brought the shots to you. I saw her.” I advised him that we only had two rounds in which the waitress that we have now brought. He says, “ no I saw her bring two and the other waitress bring one.” Needless to say we had to pay for shots that we never received. Very disappointing on the customer service end. The vibe was nice but I wouldn’t recommend if they treat their customers that way.

A good little find for a good meal, sports on TV, good 80s rock. Great fish tacos and guacamole! Really enjoyed this spot for a lunch. Fun atmosphere.

Cool spot. Outdoor deck seating available to watch the street. Sports on tv inside and awesome food and drink menu. Heard the burgers are good but didn’t try one. Recommend the fish and shrimp tacos though! Very good!

Great place to stop for lunch on the main road while shopping. They call themselves "the best bar in Jaco" which I can't dispute. ( 1. I haven't tried any others and 2. I really enjoyed myself). The staff is very friendly and bilingual. We enjoyed the view of the street in air conditioning while waiting for our food. The food was good too. I would definitely come back, after all it is the best bar in Jaco.

Located in front of Pops Ice Cream, Green Room Cafe Bar is a popular spot in Jaco Beach. It offers a relaxed atmosphere and serves brunch, dinner, and cocktails. The cafe focuses on Costa Rican artisan craft beer and features live DJs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as well as live music on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. With its two levels and four bars, the venue always has an energetic atmosphere.
I hosted a dinner for 13 people at Green Room, and it was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, we received incredible service, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every detail was handled flawlessly, making the night feel effortless and special. One of the highlights? Dance lessons during dinner! It added such a fun and unique touch to the evening, making it more than just a meal—it was an experience. The atmosphere was lively, welcoming, and full of great energy. If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience with amazing service, food, and a little something extra, I highly recommend Green Room!

From my friends neice’s recommendation, we came to Green Room for a vegetarian lunch. This restaurant serves a full menu with vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free options available. We were met immediately and had been informed that there was quite a wait because they were unloading stock and we’re running about 40 minutes behind, this was not of j concern. It’s very hot today, so we sat outside with the fan and fairly quickly got to order drinks and fresh guacamole. When it came time to order meals, I asked if there was a recommendation before I ordered, suspecting I was gonna get the mushroom melt but was directed towards the vegan bowl or the vegan burger. Neither of those entice me so I went with my original thought. The server had no feedback, just saying that the other two were ordered more frequently. My friend thoroughly enjoyed his tuna and salad, though the watermelon water was made early in the day, being fairly watered down. I basically ate a grilled onion melt with a sprinkle of mushrooms and a piece of shredded mozzarella hiding between the bread. The onions were good, but that’s not what I was intending on ordering. Also, I tried the Green Room Mai Tai, and while it was a nice idea, it had very little liquor noticeable and was more of a water down green tea. Might try some other menu items again, but the service was not great, long weights with no site of servers, and they were obviously waiting for a very large group to come in because they disappeared completely once that group showed up.

If you are vacationing in Jaco, Costa Rica, You absolutely need to visit this amazing café! We stopped in for a last lunch while there and I wish I had learned of it before then. The food was delicious! The atmosphere is really neat. Featured is artwork for sale and it appears live music at times. There is home style furniture and tables and uniquely decorated restrooms. I got a mint lemonade that featured fresh pureed mint leaves. So yummy! The food was delicious! Reasonably priced. Just check it out. You won't regret it. ♡

The only beautiful thing I can say about this place was the scenery inside. We had a horrible experience with our waiter, Emilio. He was rude from the beginning and never cared to check on us. We were never asked for refills or if food was good or missing anything. It was honestly the worst service in CR. We could never get his attention for anything, and he would ignore us. There was a waitress in the same area that was very helpful when we asked for help and it wasn't even her table. We we're truly disappointed after all the recommendations. Emilio was truly rude and had an ugly attitude. When I told him the issues, he just laughed. And to end for them to add 10% plus 13% for who knows what. Never again.

Our favorite breakfast spot in Jaco! Food is fresh, organic, they truly are "green" at this establishment. I love the bohemian theme & the fact that you can buy from local artists. Please go eat here if you are in Jaco for brunch. It's amazing!

I enjoyed the Green Room. The live music was good and rather laid back. My meal last night was not as good as some other visits. It was a bit overcooked for me although I ordered it rarer. The drinks were very good.

The Green Room in Jaco, Costa Rica: where the layout is giving “yoga retreat” and the vibes are chill… but the customer service? Cold enough to freeze your margarita. They told me the food would take an hour—great, I thought, I’ve got time to mentally realign my chakras. But boom—20 minutes later it shows up like an overachiever on a deadline. I ordered the Gallo Pinto, and let’s just say… it was more meh-lo Pinto. The best part? The rice. Yeah, just the rice. All in all, beautiful setup, comfy atmosphere, but the service had the warmth of a tax audit. I won’t be returning, but hey—shoutout to the rice for trying its best.

The restaurant is renowned for its fine dining experience and seafood specialties, with an all-you-can-eat buffet dinner available on Wednesday nights.
So many delicious sounding options. Our choices for our first visit are as follows Lobster w/ garlic sauce mash potatoes with veggies. The veggies alone were seasoned to perfection. Imagine remarking about onion and zucchini and there’s lobster on your plate! The shrimp with rice sounds simple but it’s thoroughly satisfying. We got sat right away without a reservation but to get the best tables over looking the water. It rained while we were there and our seats were covered unlike the best seats in the house lol. So be prepare to move if you do get those ocean view seats and bad weather. Jacob our server was great and didn’t steer us wrong. We will be back to see him.

We enjoyed watching the sunset and having dinner here! The ceviche and calamari were some of the best we’ve ever had. My husband enjoyed his fried red snapper. And I liked my octopus but it was too chewy. Overall really good and highly recommend!
Gabriella L — Google review
The food wasn’t bad but I’ve notice when you’re with bigger groups in this part of Costa Rica, that try to bring everyone’s orders out at once instead of them bringing it as they are ready. My New York steak was not hot, it was barely warm. Outside of that, everyone enjoyed their food. I did NOT like their calamari. The flavor was good but it was too chewy. The lobster bisque was really good. I didn’t care for the drinks. I’m not much of a drinker but could tell they barely put liquor. The food alone was good enough for me to be willing to come back with a small group so my food is hot 😉 Also! The oysters were good and it was my first time trying them.

We stumbled upon this resturant on my boyfriend’s birthday and it was the best decision! I still think about the garlic lobster and the creamy mash potato. We were craving some champagne and they had some excellent options. They made us feel really special and the location is perfect for eating fresh seafood while looking out to sea. Would recommend for any special occasion & definitely child friendly and spacious as well.

Service was excellent, so was the atmosphere, food was good but wasn't worth the price tag. I got the surf & turf. My shrimps were very cold, lobster was over-cooked, but steak was good. The chocolate mousse dessert was excellent.... If I went back I'd try something different...

Food is good and the view and location can't be beat. Drinks were a little weak but not bad. I can't compare too much as it's my first time in Costa Rica but it was $110 for 5 people not including tip (2 drinks 2 adults). I knock off one star because my wife's food came out a long time before everyone else's. Ideally everyone should get served at the same time especially when the place is not busy but ... View is spectacular!!!

Beachfront restaurant in Jacó Beach with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food, the quesadillas were really good, lots of cheese and served with guacamole and sauces, next is the patacones with frijoles and guacamole, I’m not going to take out a star from the restaurant for this but I have to say that there are 5 huge patacones served with only 2 ounces of beans, guacamole and salsa, if you are the owner and read this review, please take into consideration changing the amount of sauce, guac and beans for this plate. Last but not least we had the spaghetti with seafood in alfredo sauce, flavor for this plate was the best I’ve had in some time and the amount of seafood was something I’m not used to, a lot. If you are visiting Jaco Beach, please stop by.

Miami vice drink and pina colada are both served in frozen pineapples which is really cool and also keeps them very cold during your whole meal! Ideal for a warm day. Isaias was a friendly server who spoke good English and Spanish and made good recommendations. The seafood platter was good. Ceviche was ok. The octopus tasted frozen, not fresh, was the only downside. Overall still highly recommend this spot and it has nice ocean views with a cool breeze from the water.

Loved the food! The place has a really nice location right in front of the beach! There's plenty of space, the waiters were nice, and the menu has plenty of options. The place isn't cheap but it's okay considering the quality and quantity of the food. I ordered a risotto and it was amazing, totally recommended! Parking is on a nearby parking lot which might be somewhat uncomfortable.

Absolutely trash service that seeks to take advantage of tourists. They charged me $50 USD for two pina coladas and two waters- blatantly egregious disrespect and the bartender didn't even tell what the price was before making the drinks. No menu, just pick and choose a price based on how the customer looks and assumed ability to pay. You would think people who make a living from tourists would have the wherewithal to treat them with basic respect and courtesy other tourist destinations across central and south America would. Save your money for bars that are not brazenly dishonest as this one...

Coworking space
Selina Jacó is a vibrant hostel with colorful rooms and dorms, offering an outdoor pool, hip restaurant, pool tables, coworking spaces, and a gorgeous terrace for relaxation and socializing. The hostel provides various activities and excursions for guests to enjoy. Additionally, it's conveniently located near several surf shops such as School of the World, Surfer Factory, Selina, and Jaco Surf School where visitors can take surfing lessons for around USD50 including board rental.
My absolutely favourite place. The rooms range from small cylinder pods which are super quirky, to rooms with own bathrooms. There is a shared working space which it perfect to get work done, a pool and fully equipped bar. The staff are super nice and go above and beyond to make your stay, even if it is just walking by from the beach. The restaurant is fairly priced and has a good selection. While I was loving this place on other visits to CR, now that I stayed here and got some work done, I am even more impressed.
Catherine F — Google review
Ok stay. Rooms are very very small (we had private room shared bathroom) toilets are very far away from the room and there’s no lights in the toilet only showers so you can’t see anything… very odd. Location is fine, it’s right on the beach so it’s nice for sunset but there’s no vibe or atmosphere here. Pool is nice enough to sit by on a sunny day and staff were fine. Food here was decent. There is no kitchen or fridge though so you also can’t even keep anything cold, not great! Overall it was just fine.
Lisa C — Google review
My partner and I stayed in a standard room and it was excellent. Clean, plenty of room and nice bathroom. Staff were very nice and helpful. Location cannot be beat with views of the ocean from the pool and easy access to everything you need. They are currently transitioning from Selina to socialtel and taking away the communal kitchen. This wasn’t a problem for us, but good to know. We did struggle not having access to a freezer or ice machine. We were warned three different times on our way to Jaco about keeping our belongings safe, but within Selina it did not feel like a concern (we still took precaution). The only downside to our stay was a restaurant waitress who said we could not eat our own food by the pool in the pool chairs. I asked front desk staff and they said this was not a problem so maybe it is one staffs problem or miscommunication issue. We would be happy to visit again!
Anne P — Google review
This hostel is only alright, rooms are decent and it’s right on the beach but didn’t seem like the most social vibe and they put me in a dorm room all by myself for multiple days. Also apparently there’s no kitchen?? That’s a deal breaker for me and I wouldn’t have stayed here if I knew, sounds like the use to have a kitchen before the rebrand. With that being said the food wasn’t that great and also a bit pricey. Thinking about just checking out early and exploring a different hostel
Alyssa H — Google review
First of all; our room had no bed bugs so don’t let that deter you from staying here. Second, if you are interested in staying here IT’S A HOSTEL, be realistic with your expectations. Again, knowing this is a hostel / 2 star hotel we were surprised with how much we enjoyed our time here. In our experience the front desk staff were kind, friendly and helpful. The pool was great & clean! I can’t speak to the bar or restaurant on-site as we didn’t eat here but the hostel is in a 10/10 location so I would recommend going into town to eat / drink at local establishments. I can’t praise the location enough, if you want to be right on the beach and in the middle of town this is an ideal place to stay! My only complaint is that we booked a room with a private bathroom and our room didn’t have any towels but thankfully we had packed our own.
Sabrina — Google review
Stayed here two nights and an alarm system was going off ALL NIGHT LONG for TWO NIGHTS. I could hardly sleep how loud it was. Thought it was a car alarm but never could figure out where the sound was coming from. Aside from that can’t really complain for the price. Rooms, amenities, and location were great!
Hunter J — Google review
It probably doesn’t matter anymore, since this hotel has shut down and apparently didn’t pay its employees, electricity bills, or anything else — but I’ll write this anyway. The hotel had no problem charging me $150 for a month of coworking, only to close the very next day. It's been impossible to reach anyone since. They charged a full month’s fee even though they knew they were about to shut down completely the next day. That’s the kind of company Socialtel is.
Michaela D — Google review
If location is more important than anything, this is the place for you. However, the staff lacked attention to detail that I expect from a hotel this expensive; and furthermore, some of the facilities were in disrepair. Many small disappointments added up. PROS: Beautiful views of the ocean and Jaco Beach, actual steps away from the sand and water. It’s at the end of a quiet, dead end street so feels very safe. Tall fence surrounding property, and single entry point in gate. Lots of security cameras. Felt very safe entire time. Many delicious sodas and restaurants in walking distance, as well as pharmacies, grocery stores, and shops. Amenities are also nice to have: pool, lounges, surf rental inside facility, restaurant and bar inside facility, small swim shop too… but the restaurant itself is nothing special. I enjoyed bar cocktails the most. Their drink of the day deal is great for only $7 USD. Only ate there twice (lunch upon arriving, breakfast a few days into stay). Food wasn’t worth the prices. CONS: Hotel service is quite lacking. Reception staff was less communicative than they should have been. For example, we arrived early and asked if we could check in despite this; and they said yes, no problem, gave us keys, etc. But then we were not shown to our room, and it took a long time to figure out we were meant to wait until normal checkin time to actually access our room. Not a problem to wait, but it was a very confusing few minutes of standing there and prompting for information. Had they simply said, “yes you can check in, but you need to wait for your room to be ready” it would have made a big difference. Another example: one of the receptionists - without asking - assumed we were checking out when we asked for the key to the car gate, then disabled our room keys. When we returned 30 minutes later to be locked out of our room, we were quite confused and frustrated. Later on in the stay, we asked reception for replacement room towels; they told us to bring our old ones, and housekeeping would replace them. We delivered a bunch of towels, and they said they’d take care of it (which I assumed meant they would communicate to housekeeping. Except housekeeping never actually gave us replacement towels… I concede I should have asked again, but the reality is I should not have to! Otherwise, housekeepers did a good job cleaning the room, but again— never noticed towels. Pool lounge chairs were breaking apart in some places; pool/restaurant area bathrooms were poorly maintained and dirty, some areas had graffiti. Maintenance staff left dog poop in the grassy area for an entire day at one point. If I had been staying in the dorms/ hostel proper, these small things may not have mattered to me. But I shelled out a good chunk of money for a private room. Perhaps the property owners should consider lowering the cost if they do not want to provide adequate facilities and ensure quality service to guests.

Taco Joint offers a unique dining experience where you can customize your own tacos. The menu includes options like calamari fried rings and fresh ingredients, with the carne asada being a standout choice. The friendly staff is helpful in guiding your selections and the service is top-notch. While the corn tortillas may not be for everyone, the delicious food more than makes up for it. The portion sizes are generous, with leftovers to enjoy later.
We came here twice during our stay at Jaco and it was delicious! We got a burrito & quesadilla so can’t speak for the tacos but the food we ate was so fresh & made for us right on the spot. 10/10 would recommend!

Do yourself a favor and AVOID this place. I wish I hadn’t just looked at the overall customer review score but actually read the individual reviews, especially the lower rated reviews. They’re spot on. Food here is absolutely mediocre. Tacos were just so-so all the way around, from the flavor of the meat to the toppings. Chips and queso were horrible—stale chips and a yellowish goo they tried to pass as queso. Finally, their cocktails are horrible. Ordered two margaritas that were so tart that your lips would pucker. And then the waiter tried to tell us that’s what margaritas taste like, as if we haven’t had margaritas before LOL. Seriously, don’t waste your time or money here.

I liked that you can build your own taco! I always love when they let us choose our options at restaurants. We got calamari fried rings which tasted similar to onion rings. I loved all the fresh ingredients! My favorite was probably the carne asada. We also got the shrimp and fish tacos. The server was very friendly and helped us out by telling us what was good together. They were delicious tacos. Not the best tacos I've ever had, but still delicious. I'm not a huge fan of the corn tortillas they used. I bet if that was changed, it would be delicious.
Kristin B — Google review
Ok so, the tacos are DELICIOUS! Service is great. Super chill, laid back and the owner/ staff helped me with my order as well and brought their amazing local hot sauce “Dragon’s Breath”. You can choose what you like to add on the taco and build your own, I think I made the right choices with my toppings and with the owner who also helped me out ☺️ definitely recommend it to fulfill your taco cravings

Good spot for a quick bite! Fairly priced. They really don't cheap out on ingredients, I got steak in my taco and the meat was well seasoned...bravo! Sangria was great and refreshing. Good customer service too. I highly recommend this place.

Our FAVORITE place to eat while staying in Jaco! Fresh ingredients, you get a piece of paper and you mark what you. You can get as many toppings as you want, staff are extremely friendly & everyone we spoke with had amazing English! We ate here multiple times on our trip. The chips & queso were also made to order, the best chips I’ve ever ate. 100/10 recommend!
Shalanda K — Google review
The food was so good I forgot to take a photo but trust me when I say it was delicious. I got three shrimp tacos because I thought they would be “street taco” size (like a taco kit) but oh no, they are huge. You really only one need one or two but it was awesome to have leftovers! Really awesome service and it was cool to have them cook it all fresh right in front of you. I highly recommend this spot for authentic, delicious tacos.
Erin B — Google review
My friend and I are fruit for breakfast just to leave enough room to experience Taco Joint in all of its glory! Upon arriving, the owner told us that it opening would be delayed 40 mins due to a staff member being late. While this was inconvenient, he offered to comp us a round of beers. So, we waited. We each ordered shrimp and carnita tacos with all the fixings (see attached image for options). Tacos came as we neared the second beer, and they were quite flavorful, and heartier than expected. Definitely no regrets on waiting, as we left with smiles and full stomachs! I would recommend trying this place, but being careful not to overload your tacos with too many toppings or sauce--like I did.

Israeli restaurant
Sabress Kosher Restaurant is an Israeli-run eatery that offers a wide array of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern favorites such as falafel, hummus, shawarma, and shakshuka. The restaurant is known for its satisfying mint lemonade that perfectly complements the flavorful dishes. Guests have praised the attentive service and delicious food, with highlights including the hummus, beef kebab, Israeli salad, and strawberry daiquiri made with fresh berries.
If you're Jewish traveling in Costa Rica, Sabress isn't just a fantastic Moroccan kosher restaurant with quick friendly service and a fabulous menu in downtownJaco, This is home base. This is the local watering hole to get news, to meet friendly faces and kibbitz. The husband and wife team (Izu & Toni) have been here 25 years, originally from Ashdod and Tel Aviv. They have created a gathering place, an oasis in a spiritual desert, so welcome when traveling to Costa Rica for the first time. Upstairs is a synagogue. They cater Shabbos and holiday meals. Perhaps best of all, they have beautiful suites for rent (some able to accommodate very large families) behind the restaurant. There is secure, gated parking for overnight guests and a swimming pool, too.

The food was great, quick service, convenient location. We ordered the sababa mix for two and it was just the right amount for the two of us.

A little overpriced… hummus was very thick and chunky, shnitzel was unfortunately a bit chewy, pitas were great and so was the falafel

Highly recommend! Amazing quaint spot in jaco! The dinner plates are so good! Both the chicken shawarma and beef kabob plates were incredible. The hummus and salad it comes with are just as good! Be sure to ask for a side of their spicy sauce/salsa to go with it all!

Ordered the Sababa Mix in order to try a bit of everything and was not disappointed. The flavors of everything were incredible good, we really enjoyed the experience. The hummus was specially good, one of the best we’ve had. Would definitely go again.

I wish I could give the service 6 stars! Very attentive and polite server whose English was quite good. The food was delicious too; favourites being the hummus, beef kebab, and the Israeli salad. We tried the 2 Pax (2 person platter) and the variety of the meal was amazing. We also had leftovers which served us well for breakfast the following morning. Also, the best strawberry daiquiri I've ever had! Hey obviously used fresh berries and the balance of the drink was on point. If we're in Jaco again we'll absolutely be going back.
Brodie B — Google review
1st time eating at Sabress and the food was amazing. Jaco is heavily traveled but yet, reviews of restaurants highly rated are hit and miss. Many restaurants are run by locals catering to an American crowd. This gem is authentic Israeli food, which is rare to find anywhere - but least expected in the middle of jungle Beach town. The beef kabob was quartered inside of a grilled pita bread, with expertly charred edges. The multi-layered textures of crunch, chewy, and soft combined with perfectly seasoned meat is one step closer to heaven. The chef did not take shortcuts to craft the this artisanal delight. It came with a green salad, which I normally toss (literally and figuratively), but this had cranberries a d small bits of tomatoes with deliciously simple dressing. None of the ingredients were over-powering. The french fries were made better dipped into their home-made hot sauce. My app was charred eggplant with tahini sauce, with a whole pita to soak up the goodness. It was wonderful. This was the best meal of my trip and it is located on a side-street in an unassuming building. The lack of fancy decor did not detract, it only added to the value of this find. If I could make just two suggestions to the chef: 1) char the pita for dipping into eggplant like the kabob dish, and 2) serve the beautiful kabob on a flat raw wood plate - worthy of its creation. If you're in the mood for Israeli food, or haven't tried it but love Mediterranean food - go visit Sabress.
Charles H — Google review
Low key, small Kosher resto attached to hostel. Very good flavors and excellent vegan/ vegetarian options. The hummus and baba were delicious were as creamy as the pita was fluffy. Falafel were dense in texture- but I liked them. Went back again and would return on my next trip!

The Beer House is a cozy spot offering a wide selection of craft brews, including 10 draft choices and over 14 craft bottles, as well as kombucha and hard seltzers. The owner, Daniel, is known for his friendly demeanor and extensive knowledge of quality beer. Visitors can also enjoy pizza and vegetarian dishes while playing card or dice games from the in-house collection. It's a great place to mingle with fellow tourists and enjoy good music in a laid-back atmosphere.
Bartender was a hoot, hilarious guy and super personable, enjoyed chatting with him. Met some other awesome people learned a lot about things to do in the area! Great beer selection and cool environment! You can order pizza from the pizza shop right next-door and enjoy a beer all at the same time! His adorable dog was a major bonus🤪😄 cheers! 🤘🏻🍻

The best place in Jaco to have a good beer from tap. I can recommend the beer house and the nice owner from Saskatchewan anytime! Cheers! 🍻

Fantastic beer pub with plenty of options to choose from on draft and in bottles. Very neat taproom and very friendly owner. Worth stopping in here having a few pints.
Preston H — Google review
Daniel the bartender/owner is so nice and knowledgeable. He was very welcoming and helpful as soon as we walked in, explaining all the local craft beer options and finding ones that fit our palates. There’s a great selection of local craft beer as well as bottles for more of the classics (Corona, Stella, Heineken, etc.) and wine and a few cocktails as well. Pizza shop is in the front, you just have to walk through the pizza restaurant to the back and you’ll see a door on the left for the beer house. There is also happy hour 5-7 everyday which is minus 500 colones (about $1) off beer. Definitely a must if you enjoy craft beer and a home away from home for your vacation!

Love this hidden gem of Jaco. Have been there several times over the years. Go with friends or go solo, you’ll make friends. The owner is super awesome and there are always great people here. Happy hour daily. The #7 IPA is my go to. Order pizza to eat from the place in front. The Pizza Shop. Also, you have to walk through said pizza place to get to The Beer House.

Tiny bar hidden away in the back of the pizza place. Have a lot of great craft beer made in Costa Rica. So that’s very cool.

The best place in jaco, awesome spread of real ales, the owners are the warmest Canadian couple who make you feel welcome when you walk in and part of their family by the time you leave. If you're looking for a vibrant spot to unwind and enjoy a lively atmosphere, Republik Steak House and Bistro is the place to be. This popular venue in Jaco comes alive on weekends with DJs spinning great tunes, creating an energetic space perfect for dancing. Guests rave about the exceptional service provided by staff like Erickson and Marco, who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience.
Erickson was phenomenal. He recommended dishes that my friend and I both loved. I had the sea bass and it was seasoned to perfection. My friend had steak and the flavors were so good, she didn't need steak sauce. The steak is top tier! Please try this restaurant, you will not regret it!
Jayde B — Google review
Had a terrible experience here . Google says they close at 12am. I got there at 9:30pm and was the only one who sat down to eat. I ordered something on the menu that I saw on in its Google photos. The food item that I got was completely different and even after mentioning it, no type of resolve or accommodation was made. I ate the food because there were no other options around that were open at the time. Anyways I said let me stay and enjoy my night and enjoy my sangria. These people came up to me rushing me to pay the bill because the owner decided to close the restaurant . They said “because no one is here tonight”. So me, a paying customer who stayed even after not liking my food is now rushed out of the restaurant and could not even finish my drink. As a result, I was left to stand outside as I waited 11 minutes for me uber- looking like a working girl. Very disappointed in my experience and wouldn’t recommended to anyone, especially not a lady who is on vacation. Not even an apology or anything!
Jalesia — Google review
Unfortunately our least favorite meal of our trip. Service was very slow even though place was mostly empty. My food came out a good 15 mins after my partners. She got the pesto chicken & pasta which was very bland and not flavorful at all. I got the wings which were ok, only thing that saved them was the sauce. Price was a little high for the quality and portions. Would’t recommend or go back.
Jacob — Google review
We were disappointed based on the reviews we had hoped for more quality . My partner had the New York strip and I had the fettuccine pasta with chicken. His steak was chewy and overcooked (he asked for medium but it was definitely well done). My pasta was sad looking and looked like watered down cream sauce — both dishes were very over salted. We didn’t bother complaining we just wanted to get out of there. Wasn’t the nicest vibe. The waitress was super nice and welcoming though.
Karen V — Google review
Excellent service. Very attentive to our needs. Food was outstanding, better than a high end restaurant at the marina and cost 1/3 the price. Music was good. Loud enough to enjoy but not so loud that you couldn't carry on a conversation. Unique food offerings. Recommend highly.

Response: The kitchen was not closed when we got there, the waiter kept levain after getting 2 drink orders then when he finally got to our table said it was closed. I sent a dm prior to coming and was told the kitchen closed at 11:45 pm, we got there at 11:09 (screenshots attached for reference). Like I said, one of the waiters wanted to play and give us “free shots” of limeade and you are playing with this response. The table next to us also waited for forever. Luckily we were able to walk down to Jaco bar and get food, good vibes, and faster service. Their kitchen is open late and you won’t be told “we ran out of food” 🥰 _______ This review is for the restaurant side. Were told the restaurant closed at midnight but they closed early because they were out of food lol and the food that some of us did get to order took FOREVER. One of the guys agreed to give us free shots, he poured us shots of lime juice.

Aloha Beach Front Bar and Restaurant in Jacó, Costa Rica offers a well-done menu with slightly higher prices. It's a great spot for a break on the way to Manuel Antonio, with friendly staff and cold drinks. The restaurant is family-friendly and located right on the beach, providing a peaceful atmosphere for a stay. The location is perfect for quick access to the beach, and their delicious tacos are highly recommended.

"Broke Guys" is a lively rock cantina that plays a mix of classic and Latin American rock music, attracting locals, rock enthusiasts, skaters, surfers, and travelers from nearby hostels. At night, it transforms into a punk bar with cramped indoor space hosting live bands. The food receives positive reviews for its quality and affordability. The menu offers well-balanced sandwiches with an option to add cheddar cheese to the pulled pork sandwich.
Great find!!! Local owned pub, the service was amazing. Both guys took care of us, even gave my bestie some cream when he noticed she was completely sunburnt 😂🥲🫶🏽. The food was SO good. Happy hour was a bonus!! We got drinks & food for cheap! I had the PhillySteak Sub, she had the pulled pork.

Found a cool lil rock bar, the owners Karen and i forgot the guys name was awesome...chill spot, was playing 90's grunge and alternative, had the UFC game on and friendly people. Good spot to chilr a bit.

Bar was a bit sneaky with the concept of happy hour. The broke guys version of happy hour was the most I paid for a bottle in Jaco. Average price $1800 - $2000 in bars I went too and they charged $2500 during happy hour with a buy 2 got 1 free that never arrived. Didn't go back and left a sour note
Luke E — Google review
We went at night because the reviews suggested good food and cheap drinks. We were delighted to find out that (at least at night) it’s a punk bar! The inside space is small, and they had crammed a live band set up in there as well, so if that’s not your vibe, don’t go at night. (Like, most people were standing outside in the alley kinda deal). The playlist before the band was A+++ The food we got was very good and the bartenders were super nice. If you’re looking for a place in Jaco for your punk/alternative sensibilities, this is the spot. Absolutely fantastic, 10/10. 🖤🖤🖤

Came in here with a mate whilst visiting jaco. Saw it was happy hour which is why we came in. Was told beers were on the happy hour so asked for two. We assumed that is was 241 like most happy hours (this was granted our fault). It wasnt. Got given 2 draft beers of beer called beach beer. Cost us 5000 local. We challenged this as menu said they were 3500. Turns out happy hour was that they cost 2500 each. A bottle of imperial local beer was 1500 for the same size as our draft cup. We were then told that it was 3 for 2 beers. So they asked if we wanted our FREE third beer. Well ofcourse why wouldnt we? They never brought the 3rd free beer. We drank our exspensive happy hour beer and left. First if is it 3 for 2 on happy hr. Give the free beer at the time. Second explain what happy hr actually means. Third the female staff didnt know ot was 3 for 2 until asked the guy i assume was the owner so maybe make sure your staff know the deals. I note all the good reviews so maybe this was just a bad day in the office.

Spent over a month in jaco having fun and enjoying life...met the owner and his friends and very much found myself a regular here for the duration. Bought art of the walls from a local artist. Sang karaoke and even enjoyed an epic Halloween 🎃 night party on the street side and great food and vibes 👌 I an definitely recommending this place as I was a solo traveller and felt safe and well liked in this area. There are some areas there the other sides of town and places that are a lot less safe I would say so if your looking for a great solid , local and loyal crowd .. amazing food and great music. *Rock* and assorted influence. Then this the spot. Salut. Gents. Until next time Chris.
Chris D — Google review
Fantastic. I disagree with the decision to add cheddar cheese to the pulled pork sandwich (it's greasy enough), but to each their own. Well balanced sandwiches (with the pickles) cheap, has great hot sauce selection. Fries are great; although I wish they had onion rings. You will not be disappointed going here for food. Cocktail I don't know. But food for sure come here.

Wife had the bistec casado. She liked it. I had the burger and fries. It was just okay. Definitely not an all pure beef burger. The Mahi cerviche was excellent. Our server was nice and professional but the wait was much too long. It took about 50 minutes for our food. We were the only ones having lunch.

If you want a quiet place for a meal this is not it. I'm the only person here and the music is so loud it's hard to think. If you want a good steak you will not get it here, I ordered a ribeye it is not a ribeye it is a cross between shoe leather and rubber. Very fatty, tough and grossly overcooked.

Visited during low season so there went many people there. Hiwever the drink specials and service were good. Did not eat but saw a decent looking casado served to another patron. Dark inside as expected in a little bar. Had a large screen tv behind the bar playing music videos.

Bartender woman was rude and not attentive. Gave us our order all wrong. How are you a tequila bar with no limes. They did not have ingredients for tequila based drinks, not even a margaritas. I don't recommend and I have never rated anyone this low.

The atmosphere here is fun. Good music and karaoke. The food is absolutely terrible. I wanted to splurge a little bit and get myself a lobster. So I did… it was mushy and over cooked. Honestly gross. Beatle Bar is a local watering hole that's popular among baby boomers and locals. It's known for its casual atmosphere and friendly bartenders who are quick to serve a variety of inexpensive drinks, including soft drinks and American-style breakfast. While some patrons come for daytime beers, others visit in the evening for after-dinner drinks. The bar also offers food from the nearby restaurant Las Olas.
Local watering hole and renowned Beatle Bar. If you're out looking for a daytime beer this place will serve you. I believe they also serve American style breakfast.

Fine place for after dinner very casual drink. The Colombian woman working as the bartender was friendly and worked the customers well for conversation. They have several different soft drinks available (I don't drink alcohol so no opinion on those) but service was super attentive.

This is now known as Rolling Thunder Saloon. There is a picture on the inner wall that shows no more Beatle Bar; as I understand it the new owner wants to "clean it up" a bit. The older crowd of expats are back frequenting it and bottled beer runs about 1200 crc. It can be a bit hot in there with fans not covering all areas. It was recently opened when I was there so there may be more to come.
Mike M — Google review
Good music. Other than that, I was not impressed with the place. It was filled with American residents in their sixties talking about prostitutes. There were some prostitutes there. There was one loud-mouth American who was a big Trump supporter: a self-styled journalist who writes op-ed pieces for the local (English-only) online paper. I guess he couldn't cut it at the New York Times...What a joke. AVOID!

Restaurante Vista Mar is a popular spot in Jaco, Costa Rica, known for its great food and oceanfront location. It's part of the Hotel Cocal where you can enjoy live music, slot machines, and Texas Holdem. The open-air restaurant offers a full bar and delicious Peruvian and Argentinean cuisine. While the service might be slow at times due to limited staff, the food quality makes it worth a visit.
Great place to dine on the beach, good music, dinner and breakfast were great. Service was impeccable!

Some dishes are better than other ones. The rice with shrimps was great. The seafood spaghetti and calamares where less so. Sauce from a can and overcooking illustrate the cook has no great capabilities with the fresh ingredients. The pina colada was mediocre. So expect overpriced fresh but not great prepared food. And you might get lucky ;)

I didn't get a picture before we dove in, but it was a huge serving and the best ceviche I've ever eaten if that's the special when you're in town, you need to stop by. Night club
GSpot is a popular nightclub in Jaco, known for its massive area filled with girls dancing on two pole dance floors at the center stage. It's also available for private pool parties and offers VIP packages for an exclusive experience. Visitors have described it as a safe and fun place with excellent service, good music, and friendly staff. The club has a Miami-style vibe with a nice VIP area, huge stage, and great sound system.
We visited this club in March while in vacation. It was clean, drinks were good and all the girls were beautiful and friendly. Shakira danced for us and I couldn’t take my eyes off her. We will definitely go back when we are in the area again.
Mary G — Google review
The club has potential with its attractive appearance, but the excessive breaks taken by the dancers and the lack of crowd on our visit made the experience less enjoyable than expected.
Uliana M — Google review
Too slow move. One dance and after 10 minutes just music. Girls are lazy on the stage. Most of time just walk around a pole.
Michael M — Google review
We had an absolute blast. The girls were beautiful and so much fun. The staff were attentive and provided great customer service. The music was phenomenal as well. We will definitely be back.
Cassi R — Google review
The girls are lovely and so sweet. Angelica was an amazing bartender and definitely keep up the good vibes. Angelina was lovely and made sure my husband and I had a great night. We’ll definitely be going back when we visit again someday. Parking was simple and the bouncers are nice.
Lindsey L — Google review
Basically, the only ones inside beside 2 or 3 other single men. The women were all over us and made us feel special. Victor, the manager, was super cool and even let my wife go on stage with the working ladies. Should have got a cab home . They offered, but we needed to walk off the extra calories we drank. Treated like royalty.
John U — Google review
Miami Style club with nice Vip area…. Huge stage and slamming sound system. The girls are nice and the variety was on point…. Did not feel dirty there you know how you got to trip club and you want to take a shower afterward, def not that vibe, its a great break way from the central Jaco vibe. its like you’re own personal club
ElainE G — Google review
Rented the place for a pool party , where the girls came and kicked it with us and just hung out, then we switched gears and took it back to G Spot where we closed it down. We needed food that was catered by a Show Me Costa Rica. They have this package that only VIP’s get ask too … its like the secret vault to the craziest or uplifting experience your body can possibly handle.

Croc's Resort & Casino is a luxurious and comfortable hotel located right on the beach, offering a great location for guests. The staff is highly attentive and friendly, providing quick resolutions to any reported issues. The resort features a disco casino that attracts a regular crowd with its weekly activities, making it an ideal spot after trying your luck at the blackjack tables. Guests have praised the immediate attention from hotel staff when needing assistance with room amenities.
This place is fantastic. The people here very friendly and helpful and speak English and Spanish. The casino was small, but you could of win big.

Had a fantastic stay. All of the staff were so kind and helpful. Anything we needed they could take care of it. Beautiful views , fun pool.

Wish I could leave a better review as the majority of this resort is actually pretty nice. But hope that you don’t end up on the 4th floor. If you are “fortunate” enough to be on the 4th floor you will get the joy of listening to the club music 9pm-1am. Crazy to think that when booking you are required to give everyone’s age and they still put “ninos” directly above the club. Also they don’t staff a manager overnight and are left speaking with a supervisor who is unable to offer any help. Disappointing as the rest of the resort is actually enjoyable. I guess just a roll of the dice if you will win or lose here. You can put us in the loser column. If you get a room on the 4th floor expect a bad time with no expectation of help from the overnight crew. Disappointed is an understatement!

Great hotel with a good location right on the beach. I want to call out the attentiveness of the staff and how quickly they resolved issues when reported. I haven't experienced that level of immediate attention in any other hotel of it's class. For example, I needed the room safe fixed and another time I needed a hair dryer. In both cases, hotel staff was at my door within 10 minutes. I had lunch at Crocs twice, and the food was amazing both times. The Crocs Club is probably the best handheld I've ever eaten. I'd fly back to CR just for those Croc Clubs! The activity reservation team member Tania was very quick to get things booked, and responsive and positive when I needed to make changes to my tours. I got a lot booked on short notice, so I'm grateful for the assist. The hotel and the grounds were very clean and well kept. I don't gamble so I can't comment on the Casino. The staff was overall professional, and warmed up after a few days. I would strongly recommend Crocs over you're typical American chain in the Jaco area.
Chris D — Google review
Very nice place very secure lots of security. Food is okay. Rooms are nice and well-kept clean. But if you're going for the beach this is not the place the water is rough you can't really swim in it and it's Rocky and stirs up a lot of dirt. The resort itself is quite nice and beautiful pools.
Aleta M — Google review
Very nice rooms with all the latest amenities. Ocean view or mountain rooms. The star of the show is the pool area, which includes a bar and cafe/grill. Beach area is right outside the pool. Casino, Italian, Mexican restaurants Cafe and excursion desk.

Nicest place we’ve stayed in CR but be advised the WiFi is terrible

Gringo's Sports Bar & Gaming in Jaco is the ultimate destination for sports enthusiasts and partygoers alike. The bar offers a cool escape from the tropical heat with its refreshing air conditioning, making it an ideal spot to catch live UFC fights and American Football on large screens. It's not just about sports though; this family-friendly venue also features games like darts, pool, ping pong, and arcade games.
It was all smiles visiting Gringos Sports Bar! This spot offers ice cold AC and beers to cool off during the hot Jaco days. A family friendly place that features darts, pool, ping pong table, and arcade games. The quality of the food is also fantastic. A lot of great traditional American dishes including burgers, salads, chicken, and wings. I was fortunate enough to meet one of the “Gringos” owners during my visit. Genuine, friendly, and great service. Highly recommend checking this spot out!
Emanuel P — Google review
Walked in with family all adults late day for little food and drinks and didn’t not get the warm and friendly reception expected. The waitress was annoyed and offered no recommendations on drinks or dishes on the menu. So we opted for drinks only and ate elsewhere. The House Gringo cocktail was good. The games- darts, pool tables and ping pong were fun. The decor is cool and I can see how it gets clubby late at night. Unfortunately we didn’t get the Pura Vida vibe we got everywhere else in CR.

I met Costa Rica and they highly recommended that place Gringos sport bar. I was served by a very kind lady. Ericka had the best time. She gave me the confidence to talk a lot even though I was serving other tables. She always gave me the importance. I felt loved and very special. Since then, alone I visit gringos sport bar super the best Ericka🙌👌

really great place to chill and watch a game. was there last night for the lions play off game. waitresses delivered free shots two times, drinks were great, food was good (bar food), fun pool tables, ping pong, arcade games, darts. air conditioning awesome. friendly service. highly recommend to watch a game! great addition to the jaco area. now, if they get karaoke I will be stoked.:)

!!!!DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE A TOURIST!!! We got scammed out of $60 US dollars for only 3 drinks that were terrible and small. None of the girls were very nice everyone was extremely rude. They will try and rip you off if you’re a traveller so please I warn you do not go here! And I can’t reply directly to you but we did NOT ask for top shelf not once. And that’s why were we are so upset no one asked what vodka we would prefer the girls just put the most expensive in and as a server that is not ok you always ask your customers first what they would like in it.

We went to Gringo’s to try to watch a game and unfortunately didn’t have the best experience. The waitress we had must have been having an off night because she was not enthused with us. We arrived asking to watch a hockey game, was seated then ignored. My partner found someone to put the game on, the waitress came over unimpressed with us asking if we want anything - we ordered drinks. Time goes by, we are wanting to order dinner and she doesn’t come back to us. We watched her mosey around the not busy establishment then watched her on her phone for awhile before my partner had enough and came to her to order our dinner. Basic meals. She gave us attitude then for some reason we had another waitress out of no where. It’s too bad though because we met the owner as we were leaving and he’s a solid down to earth man just newly owning the restaurant but our experience itself wasn’t worth going back for us.

Live musician until 11 and then a DJ for the rest of the night. Pool tables and dance floor. Server was very attentive and as soon as your drink was half empty she would be there offering refill.

Love the A/C. Sometimes when looking for a place to eat in this heat, what is the detrmining factor is honestly A/C. Great place to hang with all the games, also can't wait to watch the next fight Saturday night there! Should be a blast! Definitely worth checking out next time your in Jaco! With its jungle essence and beautiful art walls, Rhythmos provides a unique dining experience. The staff's excellent service and the fun vibe make it an ideal spot for both locals and tourists.
We were visiting from America. All of our food was terrific. Lots of great options for everyone. I had the burger on a recommendation, which was one of the best that I’ve had in a long time. Fries are insanely good. The atmosphere was a great chill vibe with great music that worked for our entire family. Our waitress could not have been better. She was dancing with us and being super thoughtful of us and our three boys. We hope to visit again before we leave.

Lunch today. I was the only customer. I chose the Mahi Mahi burger and fries. Seasoned nicely, very tasty. Unfortunately there was no passion fruit ale available, so I just had water. Service was friendly and prompt and my food came quickly. Pricing is reasonable - similar to what I'd pay at home. Recommend!

Incredible place in the middle of jaco but with all the jungle essence! With balconies and terrace above a river full of animals and beautiful art walls inside the restaurant. I ordered the hamburger and it was SO BIG and very good quality. Coctels are also cheap and delicious!
Silvia L — Google review
Nice atmosphere. They have a patio area with a nice view of the little creek that flows into the ocean. Great burger, great pizza and very nice server.

Excellent fish tacos but the passion fruit ceviche was incredible! Large serving and a ton of flavor.

Really enjoyed our evening there. We were looking for a sports bar to watch Costa Rica play in the Copa América and we ended up there. Staff was super friendly. We had the tuna burger and it was amazing. We also met John, the owner, and we spent a great evening chatting with him and listening to his many sorties. Thank you for the good food and a great time!
