Cocktail bar
La Factoría is a vibrant hangout with a rustic-chic vibe that has gained international acclaim for its excellent cocktails and classic bar bites. It's a local favorite in Puerto Rico, known for introducing mixology to the island. The bar consists of four different spaces, each with its own theme, including a room filled with rum-fueled dancers and a DJ playing until late. The middle space features old-school salsa music and boasts one of the best dance floors on the island.
It's probably the best cocktail bar I have ever been to. Great vibe. I feel like you're back in the Hemingway error. The bartender was awesome and talented. Made me a paper plane and my wife and lavender mule. Excellent. Highly recommend this place
Joe E — Google review
This was, hands down, our favorite spot in San Juan. We went both in the morning and at night, and both experiences were amazing. The bartenders were incredibly kind and professional — they prepared our cocktails right in front of us, based on personal recommendations, and really made us feel special. The cocktails were absolutely fantastic. We tried several different ones, and each had its own unique and delicious flavor. The atmosphere is that of a stylish, elegant bar — I’ll share some photos! Whether you’re looking to relax after a long, hot day or wind down after a night out, this is the best bar in Old San Juan. Highly, highly recommended!
Tuğçe K — Google review
Oh my god, La Factoría with live salsa completely blew my mind! The vibe, the dancing, the music — it’s all just incredible. Definitely a place you can’t miss. The cocktails are excellent, and it’s such a cool experience discovering hidden little bars behind different doors. It does get really hot inside, but honestly, I had an amazing time and would go back in a heartbeat.
Carol H — Google review
I went to dance at this place with my friends because everyone recommended it. It did nit disappoint. It 's located in Old San Juan. Every room in this 2 story building has a bar with a different theme and music, so you can walk around from room to room and enjoy different types of music rhythms like Salsa, techno, reggaeton, techno, etc. The salsa room was packed with people dancing. It seemed like a good combination of locals and tourists.
Yarleny R — Google review
It's somehow highly rated, but not worth the hype. It's kind of different bars all in one place where you can hop on, but becomes costly as you step up! You go here just for the atmosphere, but not for anything else. Cocktails and the food are good and so is the location.
Raghu G — Google review
Reviewed as a bar when looking for delicious drinks this place was ok at best. We arrived close to open and all the additional rooms were closed, so we were told lots of drink options weren’t available. Staff were friendly and service speed was decent. It definitely sounds like this place is a lot of fun at night as basically a club, but definitely not a place for amazing drinks. If you’re looking for great drinks go to Kane Rum Bar. Overall for all the amazing reviews this place was ok, so if you want the best experience for what they offer go at night.
Coach T — Google review
This bar definitely has a great atmosphere. It has different rooms and each room has its own bar. Music is always on point here; can be loud but you’re still able to talk. It’s a tourist area, prices are according to that. Tip: there’s an area most people don’t know about. Have fun looking for it.
Daniel B — Google review
La Factoría is hands down the most fascinating nightlife experience in Old San Juan - a labyrinth of vibes where each doorway reveals another unexpected dimension! What looks like a simple corner bar from the outside unfolds into a series of interconnected spaces, each with its own distinctive personality. The genius of La Factoría is how it seamlessly caters to whatever mood you're in. Want intimate conversation? There are discreet, dimly lit corners perfect for quiet talks or romantic encounters. Feeling energetic? Follow the music to find lively rooms where people dance with abandon. The cocktail program here is seriously impressive - expert bartenders craft drinks with professional precision and creative flair. I was particularly struck by how the drink menus subtly shift between the different bar areas, with each space offering something that complements its unique atmosphere. The crowd is wonderfully diverse - a mix of locals and visitors, creating an authentic Puerto Rican nightlife experience rather than a tourist trap. Security is well-handled, maintaining a safe environment without imposing an oppressive presence. What makes La Factoría special is its choose-your-own-adventure quality. You can start with sophisticated cocktails in the front bar, then drift through various rooms until you find yourself dancing to pulsing beats in a basement space you'd never expect was there. This place deservedly earned its reputation as one of the world's best bars. It transforms throughout the night, starting relatively calm in early evening and building to a vibrant party atmosphere as the hours progress. You can literally bar-hop without ever leaving the building!

El Batey Bar, located on Cristo Street, is a dive bar with a unique and eclectic atmosphere. The interior is adorned with chandeliers made of old business cards and walls covered in graffiti and cryptic messages dating back to the 1970s and 80s. The vintage record player sets the mood with music from artists like the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, and Draco Rosa.
One of the best dive bar I have visited. The bar has its own character with Stickers and Graffiti all over the place, and good music. If you are around this place I highly recommend to check out this place.
Dinesh G — Google review
Every time I'm in Old San Juan I have to stop at El Batey! Probably my favorite dive bar in the world. I love this place, and I always meet interesting characters there.
Syd K — Google review
Really enjoyed having a drink in a space that felt so different from the other bars in the area. It’s a super casual, grungy dive bar playing rock music. High ceiling rooms covered in graffiti/sharpie and lamps covered in dollar bills…I loved discovering all the random trinkets and drawings throughout.
Keyla R — Google review
This place is scary Kool! I walked around for quite awhile just checking this place out. Cocktail in hand this place is a must stop in old san juan...
Brian D — Google review
Stopped by because the vibe looked fantastic. Killer music, great local crowd, excellent bartender, best atmosphere you could ask for. Will be back 100%

JungleBird is a cozy tiki bar located on the edge of La Placita in San Juan, known for its Taino-tropical drinks and imaginative bar food. The bartenders at Jungle Bird put a modern twist on the classic Pina Colada by combining tepache with Don Q Oro and coconut cream to create the Tepache Colada.
“This part of the city has a vibe all its own—think Jungle Bird meets a touch of NYC energy. It’s fun, exciting, and full of life without feeling overwhelming. The eats are amazing, the music sets the perfect mood, and the area has just the right amount of buzz. It’s a busy spot but never overcrowded, making it ideal for visitors looking for a great night out. Plus, with its cool atmosphere and unique style, it’s a fantastic place to grab some Insta-worthy pictures while you’re at it!”
Brandon W — Google review
JungleBird is located in a lively neighborhood with plenty of bars and music. I loved the cool aesthetic, and the vibe was great—everyone there seemed really happy. We only had drinks, but the food looked delicious and definitely worth trying next time.
Stacy A — Google review
Their mix drinks were average. It was hard to come here after Kane Rum bar which really put the standard high. Their prices were on par for the area just not the quality compared to Kane. We sampled some appetizers, but overall nothing was worth mentioning. Staff were friendly and service was fast, but the place was empty. Overall I really wanted to like this place it was just a let down.
Coach T — Google review
I’m soooo happy I found this cocktail bar. I tried a couple drinks and all of them were fantastic. The best part were the prices. $10-$14 for a drink that’s made with love and care? Go next door and pay $9 for a rum and coke.
Brandon S — Google review
Interesting place. The good: The drinks and service were great. The food was good as well. The other side: This places smell really weird. The music is quite loud and the tables and menus need updating. Would I go back? Probably, yes, the drinks were that good.
Steven D — Google review
I cannot speak highly enough about Junglebird and the lovely bartenders. My husband and I showed up like a couple of nerds at 5:01 to be sure we could get seats at the bar. We got super VIP treatment by Robertson and Ed.. they schooled us on PR tiki history and served the most amazing drinks.. my favorite of all time the green swizzle that I’ve since been obsessed with recreating. The food was also bomb. This review is a bit late. Went in December 2024. Can’t wait to return this December!
Emily V — Google review
Can't speak to the food since we never got to visit. Having no phone # on their site should have been my first clue. They don't answer Instagram messages either. We arrived at 645. They open at 5 only to be told its a private event and they open at 8. How pray tell would anyone divine that without being able to contact them. When the staff member saw us trying the door they said we open at 8. I mentioned "you don't have any way to contact you on your website so how would we know you're not open?", the response was a shrug and "we dont have a number". Not sure how they get this many stars but they are not helpful in attracting customers. TRY AT UOUR OWN RISK. And have a backup plan
A V — Google review
I don’t say this lightly when I say, they have the best tuna tartare on the island. I’ve been visiting PR monthly for the past year and I’ve had a lot of opportunities to try different restaurants’ version on it, and JungleBird found the secret sauce! The drinks are good, i love the atmosphere and the service has always been acceptable…but I’m just here to tell you all to go try the tartare and report back!

La Placita de Santurce is a vibrant and lively market square in San Juan, Puerto Rico. As the sun sets, the bars and restaurants surrounding the traditional farmers market come alive with activity. The atmosphere is bustling and energetic, making it an ideal spot for those looking to enjoy a night out. Visitors can hop from one establishment to another, savoring drinks and snacks while taking in the lively ambiance.
Had a great experience and an amazing time. The drinks were great for the price that we paid for the food was great overall the music was on point but definitely recommend going after 10 PM. We got there at seven. It was a bit too early. It started getting better later times but an amazing experience. I recommend it

First night In Porto Rico We decided to stay in the old city it seems to be authentic and pretty, for those who like history and learning about the city is the place to be. We went out to this place which was recommended bu many people There’s is a lot of bars and restaurants on the same area all around the food market which I will visit today The bars are basics but the ambience is funny The only things is that they like listening to music very very loud and while you are walking in between bars it’s very annoying between Latin and hip hop music We tried différents food and bites Wasn’t that bad but we didn’t discover the heart of portoricain food yet. I will’ be posting more about San Juan … to be continued
Zahra L — Google review
La Placita de Santurce is a vibrant spot in San Juan that truly comes alive on weekdays and on the weekends, this was on a Thursday! The atmosphere is electric, filled with music and the sounds of laughter. It’s a fantastic place to mingle with locals and enjoy delicious street food. Literally dancing and bar hopping in this square and everyone was friendly. People are here to have a good time. La Placita is definitely worth a visit!
Soledad G — Google review
Totally loved this place. Even though it wasn’t as busy when we went, we still had fun. Walked around a bit and everything is closed. Great vibe. Go on the weekend of you want to real party.
Yudelka R — Google review
Loud music everywhere. So many choices of Adult Beverages to choose from. Local dishes at just about every restaurant. It’s a must go if you’re looking to dance and drink.
Ivan C — Google review
La Placita is a great place to party in Santurce. We stayed close by and went every night we were in Santurce. We had dinner in one of the restaurants one night and just got picadores because we were going to walk around. My favorite spots were La Buena Barra, Tulum, Dirty Monkey, and Paradiso. Walk around and enjoy all the music and drinks, its amazing. Be aware that the prices are much higher in this area than outside of the city! Also many people, if not everyone came here after the concert ended.
Deanna C — Google review
Loved it. Drinks were good and music was great and fun too. Would say everyone comes around 11pm-12am! Would come again.

Nestled in the historic Miramar area of San Juan, Bar La Unidad is a dimly lit speakeasy-style bar known for its mixology-driven cocktail program and tapas-style bar food. It's considered one of the most romantic bars in the city, making it an ideal spot for a pre-dinner drink or nightcap. The bar offers a blend of classic cocktails with tropical Puerto Rican ingredients, such as the CocoLoco and Smoky but Berry Fresh.
Great spot to enjoy a delicious cocktail. They also have delicious appetizers. Excellent service.

We came with a few friends for drinks and had a great experience! The bartender made amazing drinks and the service was fantastic. Highly recommend!
Jazz R — Google review
Unidad is unique and gets a well deserved gold star from me. It is in fact my favorite bar to have ever visited and will remain a permanent staple in my visits to San Juan. The cocktails are made with an excellency that cannot compare to any place I have visited in other places. The bartenders are in fact the definition of mixological sorcerers, carefully crafting each elixir with an intoxication that can't be described. I came two nights in a row and left incredibly pleased. Make sure to reserve ahead of time, they have seen a surge in popularity and it's no longer a secret like it once was. There is no dress code, but I recommend looking a bit dapper for this one, as it has a charming esthetic. Although I am a bit of a frugal spender, the value of this place far exceeded my expectations and thus I feel it is justified in the pricing.
Squeak M — Google review
Chelimar was great and a friendly! This is the cutest speakeasy with the best drinks and we will be back for sure!
Charlene M — Google review
The cocktails are extraordinary. I got the smoky but berry fresh and the presentation was so great and the drink was amazing. We also got food and the steak was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend.
Ana F — Google review
The cocktail game is A-1, no cap. On the hunt for a speakeasy in PR we stumbled upon this gem. The cocktails were very delicious and unique. The names are very clever and fun and the mixes were all intriguing. Tons of unique combinations of flavors. The interior is very dark and sexy. I recommend making a reservation as this saves headaches and time. I won't disclose how to find the spot because what's the fun in that lol. Enjoy the Hunt. The staff was very knowledgeable and the atmosphere inside is also very elegant and sexy. Next time I'm in PR I will make another visit. Definitely a date night spot and be prepared to pay for quality. Cocktails do range at $15 price tags but honestly you look.fir.these types of places to elevate your experience and sometimes that means digging a bit deeper into your pocket. Very much worth it.
Eric — Google review
I came back after almost a year from my original review and this bar and restaurant continuing to improving, their quality of drinks, food, security and customer services. During my last visit I saw a art exhibition from one of the bar's staff. It's by far one of my favorite's places. A unique bar, great environment, with nice decoration and outstanding customer service. It serve food with great taste and better variety of drinks. Enjoy with the company of your best friends and love one's.

La Penúltima is a popular hangout for bartenders, known for its elevated Pina Colada and creative cocktails like the El Bandolero. The bar takes mixology seriously, using techniques like centrifuging juices and liquid nitrogen to chill glasses. Alongside craft beers and curated wines, La Penúltima also offers delicious food such as ceviche, cubanos, and disco fries.
Great bar with really nice food and a wide selection of local beverages. There’s an indoor space with a bar and kitchen. The music in there can be a bit loud, but outside they have plenty of seating and still a nice atmosphere. Between the two, you’ll find something you like. I preferred to sit outside to enjoy my wings and disco fries.
Theodore B — Google review
Stumbled upon this cool corner bar while waiting for a nearby dinner reservation, and it turned out to be a gem. The cocktails were outstanding, and the food smelled incredible; definitely coming back to try it. The bartender kept things moving smoothly, even during the rush. While indoor space is limited, there’s a spacious outdoor patio out back that adds to the vibe.
Andrew L — Google review
We stopped by Penúltima around 5pm on a Thursday and the place itself was cool. The layout is great, very open and unpretentious, and the extensive menu with a solid spirit selection definitely stood out. The open kitchen concept is a nice touch too. We kept it simple with a couple Medalla beers, one cocktail, and a crème brûlée. The beer was canned (expected at $2.50). The cocktail was a mezcal Paloma riff. It wasn’t bad, but I would have elevated it with some carbonation and a better presentation like a long cube or pebbled ice with a dried citrus garnish. The star of the night was the crème brûlée. It was delicious: light, airy, creamy, rich, and decadent. Where things went wrong was the service. The bartender didn’t make us feel welcome at all. He seemed annoyed, ignored us when we tried to order more (which is just lost money for the bar), and it took forever to get the check. You can have great food and drinks, but if the hospitality isn’t there, people won’t want to come back. Overall, Penúltima has potential. I’d return to try the smash burger (which looked popular) and maybe more cocktails, but hopefully next time with better trained staff who understand service makes the experience.
Dwight K — Google review
I asked for a Puerto Rican classic, Nabil hooked me up with a Rum old fashioned. Can't recommend enough. Disco fries on top, perfection. Great bar to come if you're looking for a taste of nightlife, excellent food, and high quality drinks.
Mike M — Google review
Nice chill party vibe. The crowd was friendly. Drinks were great. The buffalo wings and fries were tasty. I had the Isla barquean fizz - I enjoyed it.
Denise D — Google review
Probably the best cocktails in San Juan. Alternative and unconventional place, they also serve savory dishes, with vegan alternatives. They have a backyard were you can sit and dine. Perfect for after hours or a pre game cocktail. The Smashed Burger is AMAZING!
Raul R — Google review
The bar has amazing wines but the staff is so rude. They act like they are doing you a favor and they will literally ignore or cut you off. I went twice because the wine selection is pretty good but both times I got the worst service. They also tried to have me pay double the price I paid the day before for the same bottle of wine. I told them how is it double a day later and then they said it was a discount they gave the day before. Do not recommend at all!
Jessenia R — Google review
The best bar in all of San Juan! Impeccable friendly service, tastefully curated wines (THEY HAVE ORANGE WINE, multiple good ones!) a backyard, and delicious food. We ordered three rounds of the shishito peppers. The wings and disco fries were perfect too. Still thinking about the ever so slightly savory sesame martini as well. Overall an excellent bar for lovers of natural wines, elevated pub food, and good bohemian vibes.

Nestled in the heart of Old San Juan, La Taberna Lúpulo is a charming and laid-back taproom that boasts a wide array of craft beers on tap and in bottles, along with light bites to complement your drinks. The tavern's ambiance is inviting, with its soaring beamed ceilings, large oak doors opening onto the street, and a spacious wooden bar.
Some of the best beer for this popular area. Lots of choices of styles and brewery locations. They had a great selection of liquor, especially the randomly placed rum bottles. Their prices for liquor were all over the place, some bottles should have been higher while others probably lower. Staff were friendly and showed great attentiveness. Overall I was quite happy to find this place as it was a great place to relax and sip on a tasty beverage after walking around.
Coach T — Google review
La Taberna Lupulo is a great taphouse and restaurant in Old Town. They have a full bar, and nearly 50 beers on tap, with options not listed on the website. Roughly 1/2 their beers are local and with this many taps, they cover most styles. Their menu is not huge but what they make is really good. The atmosphere is great, it's big, open, and has the classic spanish old town feel. Service is friendly though the music can be a little loud. This is a spot I would stop at again.
Adam D — Google review
This is a great place to have a taste of the many kinds of artisan beers our island has to give! The service from the bartenders are always great and the bouncers at the entrance are very respectful. This time we had a female bartender and she is a very kind person. She takes the time to explain to you the flavors you might encounter on each beer. Overall, this is a great place to drink local artisan beer oh, and the music is always on point. We just don't like the "reggetón" music of other pubs around the Old San Juan area and this is the only place we can rely on to listen to good music because it is also not too loud for you to speak with your companions, and you can have a wonderful time there. Another note: the bathrooms are always very clean! I highly recommend this place to locals and tourists alike.

We had some snacks and beer at this place. The drinks were nice, and the beer was actually pretty good. However, the food was disappointing. The fish inside the taco was burnt, yet they still served it — which was quite frustrating. Despite the friendly staff and decent drinks, I wouldn’t recommend this place. The snacks were below average, and overall, it felt like a waste of time.

Absolutely loved this place. Sandra was exceptional, very attentive and friendly. She went above and beyond giving us great recommendations. I only got the chips and salsa but the salsa was amazing!!! Just the right amount of heat and super flavorful. Will definitely be saving this place for the next time I come.

Interesting and tasty beer/mead/drunk selection. 47 local and imported beers on the menu along with a few other unique options. I really liked how the bartender had a good story about each. Good place to do a bite or a drink. A “spritely” 10-minute hike from the cruise docks.

The dining room overlooks an interior garden and features a contemporary design. Chef Jose Santaella brings his expertise from working with renowned names like Ferran Adria and Eric Ripert to create upscale market-driven cocina criolla. Guests can enjoy this elevated local cuisine for lunch at affordable prices or visit in the evening for cocktails and small plates.
Santaella was hands down the best dining experience we had in San Juan. Every dish was bursting with flavor and presented magnificently, the cocktails were delicious and balanced, and the service was warm, attentive, and genuine. The atmosphere is vibrant yet intimate, making it feel special without being stuffy. Yes, it’s pricier than most spots in San Juan, but the quality easily matches Michelin-level restaurants in NYC. Absolutely worth every penny and HIGHLY recommended!

Finally was able to make a reservation this past Saturday. We were sat immediately and Julian was our server. We started with drinks. My brother had the Paper Plane which he enjoyed and I had the Tamarind Margarita. We ordered half the menu and the standouts were the shrimp bao buns, jamon croquetas, goat cheese truffle honey quesadilla for appetizers. The entrees also met our expectations. My shrimp trifongo was creamy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My hubby's NY strip steak was cooked to temperature and my brother said his fried chillo was the best he's ever had. The vibe when we entered (about 7pm)was weird since they were playing like elevator music but towards the end closer to 9pm they started playing house music. Was hoping they would dim the lights a little as the night progressed but it remained very bright in the dining room. Aside from that minor grievance, we had a very positive experience. Thank you Santaella.

So reservations were made for 5 ppl at 10:30PM but seems like they don’t have a time limit on how long people can spend on a table simple because and we spent over 25-30 mins waiting on a table…. At the beginning the experience was not it honestly, especially when you are hungry and the last reservation of the night. So it started off rocky and then when seated certain food items were not available, I really wanted to be optimistic and really give them a chance sooo here it goes… what made it special was a couple of things its right next to La placita, very busy yet fun to go fine dining and party afterwards. However, for me was ambience it was busy but the jazz music really gives the vibes a flow. Even though certain food were not available the waiters provide us with other options to select of seafood, appetizers, red meat. The Chorizo empanadilla delicious, filled with chorizo and maduro. The GOAT quesadilla was what won my heart, so delicious and flavorful with goat cheese over arugula, drizzled writhing a sweet syrup yummy. Popcorn chicken with a sweet curry was good too. But after being told the pastel on was no longer available the chef decided to make us one from scratch and let me tell you IT DID NOT Disappoint! It was delicious, the maduros were smashed in perfect texture, ugh reminds my oh my grandmas pastel on. Let just say it made the beginning of the experience forgetting. The Service very friendly and on top. Even though we did catch a dish that was a bit dirty but that didn’t stop us from getting drinks, which were great and strong.

A bit disappointed. I feel this place is overrated. Nice location, good ambiance, but the food was just OK. Probably good for drinks and meeting people, but from a food quality perspective, I've been in other places in this town that in my opinion are much better for the price you pay. Service was cordial but a bit slow. We got couple of appetizers and one main dish to share but it took almost 2hrs to go through it. Only highlight of the night was the Goat Cheese Quesadilla, flavorful and the White Truffle oil gave it a good dimension. The popcorn chicken was ok, but won't be memorable. And we felt the Lacón Asado (Braised Pork) was too dry, and the caramelized part was not enough to balance it. It felt like a holiday dish that needed a cherry compote, or a cranberry sauce to complement it. For dessert they didn't have the Baked Alaska but we got an alternative Caramel Cake with flambeed meringue, but unfortunately it was extremely sweet. Desserts need a balance too.

We were on a cruise that stopped in Puerto Rico for one of its ports. We walked to El Morro to see it, but sadly there were no tours since the government shutdown had just started. We took an uber to head back to the ship and my husband found this place to eat that had great reviews. We had to stop by to see if it lived up to the hype. We arrived before 5 which was good since we did not have reservations. There was only 1 other table of people when we got there. We tried a few of the appetizers that the server recommended and they were all delicious. Even the popcorn chicken was the best popcorn chicken I’ve ever eaten. I got the Camarones and it was amazing. The trifongo was sweeter than I expected. It was fun to try authentic Puerto Rican food and this place was a good spot. Honestly the only thing we didn’t like was the baked Alaska dessert because the alcohol flavor didn’t burn off of it so it tasted bleh on the outside. The server did warn us it had an alcohol taste so we would not order that again. Everything else was amazing and the service was great too. I’m sure we were under dressed in our swimsuits, but the restaurant was great. If we ever come back to Puerto Rico - we will come again!

Exceptional experience!! So great we were blessed to eat here 2 nights in a row!! Our flight was very late getting in and most restaurants closing, but Reinaldo found us 2 seats at the bar. We had grilled octopus appetizer and the seabass entree. The flavors were devine!! Jonathan at the bar has a real talent mixing the exotic cocktails that are offered. He was also very kind and helpful to suggest different dinner and drink options. The service here is exceptional. The second night we loved the ahi pops and tried an ages Puerto Rican rum tasting. Such a beautiful place with magical food and drinks and kind people. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to try out my new cookbook.

Came here mid week while here for work. The staff was able to squeeze me in. Great service from the team. Cocktails and drinks came extremely quick. The lighting, mural, and live plants were representative of Puerto Rico. Options were plentiful. I ordered the cod and sweet potato. Great balance of flavors. Definitely a spot to visit while you’re in town.

We got reservations for Santaella because we heard it was supposed to be amazing. Upon arrival we realized they gave us reservations for Azeteo even though the reservation clearly showed Santaella, which is still the same owners but their menu is significantly different with way less options. We ordered a good amount of food and it tasted good. The portions were small and the prices were on average for higher end food. Overall the meal was fine we were just looking forward to the Santaella menu!

El Boricua, located in Rio Piedras near the University of Puerto Rico campus, is a hidden gem adored by locals and less frequented by tourists. The bar boasts an eclectic decor and a jukebox, with a patio for live music and dancing. It incorporates elements from local chinchorros, offering succulent staples like frituras, tapas, and even Puerto Rican sushi made with plantain, skirt steak, and avocado.
Not a bar person but while in PR on another solo trip I wanted to hear some live music 🎶 so I came across some reviews and decided to check out this place . I enjoyed the atmosphere of a cheerful and respectful crowd, I’m not a crowd person but I tend to blend in here and there….Lol Nice art vendors out and people enjoying themselves, mingling with one another and dancing with one another. Very chill seemed like your regular locals since this was also near the University. I road my scooter 🛴 on a 45 min night ride to this place….. I was adventurous, it was raining on and off , made it just in time for the last set from the musicians. It was nice and I always appreciate the talent musicians share, big or small. Would like to see the place during the day and no rain ☔️ but my night adventure was perfect . The staff and people were friendly and even the crowd was friendly. Loved it 🥰 I know they have other musicians that play there, but I wasn’t down in PR that long to see the ones I was interested in but I was well pleased the night I went . July 2023…… sorry I’m late writing a review 🥸 I enjoyed some of the art displayed at this place, some art not all of it was to raw for me….. lol ( hint-hint) but I came for the music 😉 and was outside . For live music 🎶 I would recommend coming here. Thanks El Boricua for the memories 🇵🇷🥰🎶🛴☔️

Nice place to stop and grab an inexpensive drink and listen to some music... Bar is open air so weather depending stays fairly comfortable. Awesome staff and a cool place to sit with friends, grab a drink and listen to live music or DJ. Not much dancing or singles for that matter, seems to be a hangout more than anything. Very much enjoyed bouncing around and playing a game of pool!

Great little bar. Has a pool table, often has live music. It's kinda open air, there is seating available. They have started a little street market set up in the blocked off road with large tents for customers to still be able to enjoy in inclement weather. Very Lgbtq friendly.

Barber shop
El Bar Bero is a unique and creative establishment that transforms from a barbershop by day to a lively mixologist haven by night. The themed decor includes vintage barber chairs, black-and-white checkerboard floors, and chandeliers adorned with shaving brushes. The atmosphere is described as welcoming and friendly, with bartenders who take pride in their craft.
Jose is the man! A true mixologist and master of his craft. All of the cocktails I had were incredible. Easily the best cocktail bar in the Condado area. Even when out of ingredients (which happens in PR) he was able to make me a Black Manhattan which was delicious. Other personal recommendations include Gentleman's Cut, Barrilito Smoked Old Fashioned, Tiki Man(hattan), El Barbero Viejo, and El Bigote de Luigi (extremely refreshing - even as a non-gin person). . Ask about the history of the items here, this place is a true treasure!

Love the vibe of this speakeasy, the barber shop theme is awesome, every detail was carefully planned. The got a lot of creative cocktails and every single one we tried was tasty. Very attentive staff, cocktails takes their time. Wednesday night was perfect, not crowded at all. Prices not on menu, but expect to pay $13 per cocktail. Parking on the street, credit cards accepted.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this cool vibe bar in the Conado area, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I walked to the front door, they invited me in, even though they weren't open yet. i I was captivated by the stylish decor and the welcoming atmosphere. The dimly lit interior, coupled with a well-curated playlist, created the perfect ambiance for a night out. The bar staff was not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about their extensive cocktail menu. I tried their signature drinks, and each one was a delightful blend of flavors and presentation. What truly set this bar apart was the music. The diverse crowd made for an engaging and fun experience, and I met some interesting people throughout the evening. Overall, I can't recommend this cool vibe bar enough. Whether you're looking for a romantic date spot or a place to hang out with friends, it offers an unforgettable experience. I can't wait to go back and enjoy the cool vibes, drinks, and music all over again.

Amazing cocktails, atmosphere, and service! The actual barber chairs are a fun detail. The bartender is a true artist and there is a huge variety of cocktail options on the menu. We went on a Wednesday night and the kitchen was already closed so we didn’t get a chance to try the food, but looked like they had some good munchies as well. A must stop if you are out in San Juan!

What a hidden gem! Cyan is an incredible master of cocktails and treats guests as a family. Best cocktails we've had in a long time. This is art! Must visit in San Juan!

We've been wanting a cozy, low key neighborhood bar with decent bar food and can't believe we only just found El Bar Bero! I loved the eclectic, vintage barbershop (bero) decor, good lighting & music- but the drink options were what really impressed. They had all the best "original" cocktails- I had the moscow mule & my husband the house manhattan- along with your traditional island drinks, and they were all expertly made. The bar is really the main attraction of the room, and for good reason- the drinks are perfect! While this isn't a restaurant (so don't expect a server/ you go to the bar to order) they do serve a few food items and again, exceeded our expectations. The fish tacos were delicious and the chicken/sausage sliders- something the door man recommended- were not only tasty but really original. The bill was like $40- which is hard to beat...! We're super excited to have this great local option so close to home!!! . (Broc did have an issue with there not being soap in the men's bathroom, but I'm still giving 5 stars (the women's did!) bc I doubt that's the norm...)

The Mezzanine in Catano, Puerto Rico offers a unique experience with its 1950s Old San Juan ambiance. The bar is located in the home of Pedro Albizu Campos, a leader of the Puerto Rican nationalist movement. Despite its historical significance, The Mezzanine serves classically inspired drinks with a tropical twist such as the Guava Cosmo and Patria Libre. The bar's rustic interior and generous happy hour attract both visitors and locals.
🌟 5 Stars – A Must-Visit in Old San Juan! 🌟 N Mezzanine was an absolute gem! Tucked away with charming ambiance and a cozy, elevated vibe, this spot instantly became one of our San Juan favorites. We tried the shrimp & pineapple dish — the flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The fish tacos were equally amazing: crispy, well-seasoned, and topped with vibrant slaw and just the right touch of spice. To drink, we enjoyed an Old Fashioned made with Maker’s Mark — expertly crafted and smooth — and a refreshing house cocktail that was bright, citrusy, and ideal for the warm Puerto Rican evening. Service was attentive but relaxed, and the overall vibe was chic without being pretentious. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food, creative cocktails, and a memorable experience in Old San Juan!

The saving grace to our experience was the shrimp with pineapple and the aioli and our lovely server. Now the worst - The sweet and sour meatballs straight up tasted like something out of Chef Boyardee canned ravioli or the meatballs that come in them. We took a bite and were like nope. Luckily our server gave us grace and offered for us to get a replacement, which we did again with the shrimps. No wait for a table on a Tuesday night. We sat on a high table on the balcony which so cool to people watch. Drinks were okay.

Hidden gem in Old San Juan. Located on the second floor of a lovely historical building, with arched balconies overlooking the picturesque views of this magestic part of town. Great cocktails and great tapas. Cute setting in 2nd floor. Open windows with seating on the balcony to watch the street below. Comfy chairs to sit and chat with friends. Fun to sit at bar and chat with bartenders - especially Emanuel. The best ever Mule made with their homemade Ginger beer. Can’t wait to back (which we did). Great for locals & tourists alike. As always, this is just my personal review. This place has its own style—if you're looking for a Mojito or other ordinary drinks, you’d better look elsewhere. Here, cocktails are for those who appreciate style and authenticity. They do have familiar drinks, but for the full experience, it's best to go for their signature cocktails. As for whether I’d come back—definitely yes! And if you have the time, visit the rooftop in the evening—it’s an unforgettable experience.

Stopped in for a quick drink and got the pleasure of meeting manager, Ivan. A down to earth guy passionate about the business and product. So passionate in fact that we got an impromptu organic chemistry lesson on how flavors are created from the interaction of the alcohol with various other molecules in the barrels and our own brains interpreting those flavors. Ivan even sketched this out for us on scrap paper. Did not see carbon chains and molecular bonds coming, but we were there for it! Knowledge and passion is always great! The best part is the rum was delicious! Went on to Condado liquor store to buy a bottle to take home.

My partner and I returned to El Condado, Vanderbilt Hotel in San Juan, PR and once again, we are not disappointed. I want to start by commending Christian who works at the VC Lounge, he is the main reason we return to the lounge. He makes us feel like VIP and ensures we are happy with the food, beverages and service. This to me comes a long way. I don’t like trying new places, tend to return to places where the service, food and atmosphere are tops! This is what Christian brings to the table. Also, want to say thank you to Juancarlo Vazquez, as he ensured our accommodations were in order. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Christian and Juancarlo!

VC Lounge at the Condado Vanderbilt is an elegant hideaway right by the ocean—perfect for unwinding with a drink and incredible sunset views. From the moment you walk in you’re treated with respect. They kick things off by bringing you water without you even asking or paying extra. The back terrace facing the Atlantic is stunning. Watching the sun dip behind the ocean while you sip is worth the visit alone. They do complimentary bar snacks—nuts, olives, and cumin kettle corn—and they are surprisingly good. Not basic, but thoughtfully curated to match the vibe. I ordered an Old Fashioned and my partner had an Aperol Spritz. Yeah the drinks run around $20 apiece, but trust me, the service, the view, and the quality make it worth every cent. When I asked for two Luxardo cherries in my Old Fashioned, they went above and delivered with four. Didn’t need four, but that’s how you earn loyalty. Standard pricing before tax and tip puts two cocktails just over $50. It’s definitely not an every-night kind of place. But for a date night or a treat-yourself moment, it’s unbeatable. VC Lounge is beautiful, the service is spot-on, the cocktails are solid, and the atmosphere is serene. Just be prepared to spend a little. I’ll happily go back.

The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring Spanish, Puerto Rican, and international dishes that cater to every palate. Whether you're craving traditional local specialties or familiar international cuisine, Barrachina has something wonderful for everyone.
The food was absolutely amazing!!! First time in Puerto Rico and I would highly recommend. The staff was very welcoming and helped us with food selections. There's construction going on but still made the best of it. We are on a cruise and stopped in San Juan and was suggested this restaurant. The garlic shrimp was delicious. Barra China in Old San Juan is a good place to drink a cold and delicious piña colada at a reasonable price. The food was just ok and nothing to brag about, but tasty! I’ve always liked the tropical 🌴 atmosphere at Barra China, but after years and years of visiting this bar/restaurant I think that some remodeling and updates to the venue will bring in more business. The piña colada recipe continues to be the star ⭐️ of the show and the service friendly as always. See you soon BC! 🇵🇷

Fun to try the first Pina Colada. We ordered food too and I would NOT order the skirt steak. I'm not sure what it was marinated with but we couldn't even take a bite and ended up paying for a full uneaten plate. We also had the seafood Mofungo. It wasn't my favorite but the seafood was decent. We did like the appetizer plate (2 person portion was easily split by 5). The staff were sweet and friendly! Nice little gift shop next door too.

They were under construction, so I imagine the atmosphere will be amazing soon but was just ok for us. Food was good but not exceptional. Pina coladas are as good as expected for the reputation.

We went here to try their famous piña coladas and I give those a 10 out of 10 delicious! We only had the appetizer sampler plate, which was typical fried bar food. But definitely go to at least try the piña colada, reasonably priced and worth it!

If you come here stick to the Pina colada drinks!!! Read more and you’ll find out why. Let’s start with the outside, gorgeous exterior, great photo opportunities. We walked inside and waited for the hostess. We debated whether on grabbing drinks to go vs enjoying drinks at the bar but it was crowded. After waiting a couple of minutes at the to go bar we decided to dine in. Service was still slow at the dining area and the waitress made a comment that she would not be able to greet our table anytime soon since she had other tables. We were there for almost 20minutes or so before we were able to place our order. Eventually she greeted our table and she was fairly pleasant. Of course we ordered Pina coladas which were absolutely delicious. My homegirl is a slow drinker and surprisingly she finished her drink before me! The tostones with pollo and plantanos with mariscos were decent. It lacked flavor but for the price and how hungry we were at that moment we still ate it.

Overrated tourist trap where the Pina Coladas are average, food disgusting and the service is all a scam. Pina- You can find better anywhere else, they're really surviving on that line of being the founding father for Pina Coladas. Food- We ordered coconut calamari and it mediocre. We mentioned we wanted to share the 24 ounce fried fish dish for $27 and was informed by thr service thr only fish she had was 32 ounces with white rice, beans and plantains for $40. The fish was barely 1lbs, hard broccoli and dry plantains. All of a sudden they had no fish that was 24 ounces yet it was on the menu but the 32 ounces was not. Very sketch. Underseasoned and disgusting. They gave me 1 slice of lemon for the fish & I asked the server for more lime and she told me she has to charge, she didn't make the rules. Service- Delayed service, host refused to seat in the courtyard. Sever was pushy for the tip, asked us to leave it on the card and we told her NO, cash. As we were wrapping up eating, she kept asking us for the cash tip. Several forget tip is optional not mandatory. Definitely not a spot I would recommend for eating or drinks. Food is bland and a rip off, in addition, there are better Pina coladas out there. There are similar reviews on this posting and it's 💯 true.

This one-roomed jukebox dive bar is famous for its exotically flavored chichaitos, such as Nutella or guava shots made with Anisette liqueur and rum.
This bar was pretty cool, the bartenders were nice and personable. I got the most basic of basic : vodka soda and a medalla, can't go wrong. Atmosphere is cool, they have a bucket of things to decorate dollar bills with and add them to the wall, we put a T-Shirt shaped dollar up. It's worth the stop :)

Awesome Old San Juan alley bar! I have been to the SJ area a half a dozen times (usually for the day on a cruise, but also for a long weekend), and I always end up here at some point. Just off of Plaza Colón (which is long overdue for a post-colonial rebrand/update; I vote for Pedro Albizu Campos or Roberto Clemente), so it is just a short walk from the cruise terminal. Great mix of locals and tourists (and cruise crew members) and cheap Puerto Rican cervezas and drink/shot specials! The long narrow bar is wallpapered with dollar bills and decorated with Puerto Rican art. Pick up some street food from Plaza Colón (or a mofungo from Yeyos a few doors down) and stop in for a cold Medalla (or 3 or 5).

I absolutely LOVED this bar! It was soooo beautiful; not to mention, Miguel was the best bartender I’ve ever met!! He took great care of my bf and I for my 21st birthday this week! There are various shot flavors that will knock your socks off! Will be returning soon :)

One the best bars in Old San Juan. They used to be at a different spot but this one’s even better. Chichaito de parcha! A must!

I went here on March 19th 2023 (2:00 AM). My 5 friends decided to go here since it was late. I really wanted to like it, but sadly I had the worst drink in my life here. A lot of stuff was out of stock that night so we all decided on the passion fruit paprika drink. Not a single one of us enjoyed the drink. It was *inedible*. It had no passion fruit flavor. 0 sweetness. I also specifically asked for no paprika in mine. They didn’t listen. I took one sip and ALL I tasted was bad smoke from the paprika flavor that was overdone. My friend described it as lead. All 6 of us ended up throwing away that drink full. It was a waste of money and time. I’m hesitant to give it a second chance 😞…

Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
Marmalade is a stylish restaurant in San Juan known for its international menu and creative dishes. Chef Peter Schintler has crafted an ingredient-driven menu that combines local flavors with global influences, featuring dishes like ceviche paired with tostones and vegan poblanos rellenos atop spicy black beans and mole. The restaurant offers tasting menus ranging from five to 14 courses, with the option of a plant-based menu.
We were on our honeymoon and decided to splurge. So glad we did! Best meal of my life! First off the service was impeccable. They truly made you feel like a king. They knew it was a honeymoon dinner and brought us champagne and even a signed poster at the end with well wishes on it! The head chef and owner tries to make his rounds and talk to every table and tell you a little bit about the food. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing. My favorite course was the famous white bean soup. My least favorite was the lamb meatballs, but they were still good. Every course was extremely flavorful and the perfect amount of food and wine. Worth every cent.

From the moment you walk in, the passion of the staff is unmistakable. Service is warm, attentive, and genuinely rooted in a love for food. The menu is both creative and thoughtful, showcasing ingredients sourced from local producers wherever possible. Every dish feels like a celebration of flavor and craft, executed with pride and precision. A phenomenal dining experience that blends hospitality, innovation, and a true sense of place.

Incredible time as had been our previous visit. Service was excellent, the entire staff clearly works as a team to deliver an impecable experience every step of the way. The food was all outstanding and our server gave excellent suggestions. Everyone acknowledged that we were repeat guests and they also brought out a small appetizer on the house as our reservation from the previous evening had to be rescheduled as they didn’t have water due to no fault of their own. We dined here last year when we came to Puerto Rico and this was probably the thing we were looking forward to the most on our return visit this year. The fluke crudo was definitely one of the best things that I’ve ever eaten in my life and both me and my girlfriend are big foodies. Amazing restaurant in every aspect possible, definitely recommend and will be back. Thank you!

Our 27th wedding anniversary in Puerto Rico was unforgettable — my husband completely surprised me with dinner at Marmalade! From the moment we walked in, we were treated like the only guests in the restaurant. The table was beautifully set with flower petals, and every dish that came out was a masterpiece. My husband did the wine pairing, and each time a new glass arrived, our amazing server, Anna, explained its origin and why it paired perfectly with the course. She was warm, attentive, and so knowledgeable — truly the best of the best. Even though she had other tables, she made us feel like we were her only focus. It was one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve ever had — the perfect way to celebrate 27 years together. Thank you to the entire staff at Marmalade, truly top class!

This is an amazing fine dining experience. Took my wife for her bday. This is truly an amazing place with amazing food, servers and Chef de Rang. The white bean soup it’s so tasty and delicious, they actually have already printed copies of the recipe available to the guests. We felt welcome and each plate and wines were explained to us. I had mistakenly consumed the garnished Fresno pepper and the Chef de Rang move quickly to get a fresh antidote 😂 of cold sweet wine to calm the spiciness and it worked perfectly. A 5 course meal for a party of two could range anywhere from $450 and up.

We’ve had beautiful meals all over the world with celebrated and Michelin chefs. This was the best meal we’ve ever had. EVER A few hours before our arrival I had a friendly call to check on preferences, allergies and restrictions. But this phone call felt different - it was casual but professional, welcoming, funny, and warm. We like to make early reservations so we can watch the energy change as guests fill the space. I recommend it just to visit with the knowledgeable and interesting front of house. Upon entry you’re surrounded with subtle elegance and, as you observe, more and more the elegance grows. While walking to our table I was handed a pashmina - but didn’t need it because the temperature of the dining room was perfect. A simple but much appreciated touch. The purse tables were also stunning and artfully crafted. I mentioned that we were celebrating a wedding anniversary. Each member of the team sincerely wished us happy anniversary as we walked in and all evening. The service is top-notch. Attentive without being overbearing. Each team member knew the menu and how to recommend dishes. The pre-fixe menu is a masterclass in culinary creativity. Every dish is beautifully presented with a sleight of hand table reset at each passing. Again, attention to every tiny detail is priority. Takes a long time to get to this… the cocktails are inventive, complex yet whimsical. And finally getting to the food… wow. Just wow. The flavors exploded on the palate. It’s evident that each course is crafted with care, using the freshest ingredients with unique flavors that work so well together you wonder why you haven’t seen it before. Every bite felt both familiar and exotic at the same time. This food brought my tastebuds into focus - couture for the mouth. We were both rendered speechless multiple times. From start to finish, the entire meal is a journey. Couldn’t possibly pick a favorite course. We were in a lovely corner booth with a giant pile of pillows. Near the final course I understood the need for the pillows as we were left in a state of bliss. I threw myself into them and took some deep breaths. Marmalade isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself to an exceptional night out, this is a place where the food and service will exceed your expectations. Highly recommend come hungry and ready to be treated to exceptional service.

The four of us, who are definite “foodies” dined here and we were blown away by the fabulous food and service! We are all in our 60’s and have eaten all over the world and travel to food destinations- each of us stated that it was the finest dining experience that we’d ever had! Not only was the food different, modern and amazing- the service was impeccable and was worth every penny! In the end our bill with wine was $200+/person.
Sandy W — Google review
Very amazing meal, we just kind of wondered in and asked if they had availability for two. They were able to see us at a high table at the service with some of the best I’ve experienced that have many restaurants, our server really did a great job of explaining the menu and making recommendations they checked and us. The right amount of time is to make us feel wanted and cared for, but not enough to make us feel like they were being pushy. When things would happen like I would run out of water, they would refill the water at a reasonable pace and when I made a request to the server, he was very quick to get it done. I like the fact that it’s a fixed price menu, and it was kind of fun to be able to choose my own meal and it wasn’t just a set menu, also I like the fact that even though it’s fine dining beers are only eight dollars.

Definitely an awesome beach for swimming. Just be mindful there are riptides around. Definitely don’t count on the life guards we caught them sleeping multiple times or always on their phone. Tons of people walk on the beach even there areas that claim to be private so don’t leave valuables out. Overall if you’re there to relax or swim this is the place to be.

However, parking across the street can be challenging, so be prepared to park downhill and take a short walk to reach the restaurant.
Good food and service. Ate outside, they have 4 tables outside. Gorgeous view.Drinks are good, my Pina Colada was great. I excepted more of this place due to its privilege location in old San Juan. Service was not good , employees (waiters) need to be more attentive, dynamic and joyful. Food was ok, but not that great for the location and prices. Waiters did not presented recommendations or options to consume. After trying one appetizer we decided not to order main plates due to poor quality of services. Mojito was ok but expected more. No Bathroom on site and have to walk a bit further and bathroom was dirty and old. I hope this place would take note of Poor start ratings and try to improve the service as It got a great location.

Vieques, a small island off the east coast of Puerto Rico, is a paradise for beach lovers and those seeking an authentic Caribbean experience. The island offers stunning beaches like Playa Caracas and Red Beach, known for their turquoise waters and red sand respectively. Vieques is also home to the bioluminescent Mosquito Bay, a must-see natural wonder.
Absolutely stunning island. What a special place to visit in the world. Highly recommend making this part of your Puerto Rico trip or considering over more typical Caribbean islands. Also, support local businesses - you don’t need to buy food on the mainland! There is plenty here and it’s a great way to strengthen the local economy. Sit back relax and enjoy phenomenal sunsets, beaches, local food and abundant domestic-wildlife!!

I’m so thankful we decided to take a day trip to Vieques on our trip to PR. Waking up at 4am to catch the ferry was 100% worth it and I’d do it again. We ended up riding down to the other side of the island, renting a kayak, and kayaking to another island just off the coast of Vieques. It was magical. Visiting Vieques was easily my favorite part of our whole trip! We had a blast and got the sunburn to prove it! ;)
Taylor K — Google review
The biobay is a great wonder. There's plenty to do on the island, although it is rather small. Lots of good eats and all the service from restaurants were friendly and helpful. The sunsets are breathtaking, but make sure to bring bug spray because the mosquitoes are out heavy during that time. There are many wild horses and chickens running around. There were a lot of negative things to say about the fairy when I did some research, but I found that it wasn't bad at all. It actually seemed quite organized despite the forums. We traveled on Thanksgiving day. We stayed at Blue Horizon, which had the most beautiful view, but do not come here for luxury. Make sure to rent a or scooter early, a couple weeks beforehand . We stayed in Elsperanza and drove the coastline, stopping at different beaches.
Lora L — Google review
Shhhh. This island is a secret and magical place. Please don’t tell anyone. Pristine beaches with differing topography at each one. If you’re looking for a beautiful sunset, calm waters filled with shallow water snorkeling, black sand or amazing cliff side photo ops, Vieques has it all. You can move around the island easily and see all of that and more. This island will not be for everyone. There’s no big box hotels, stores or chain restaurants. If you’re not adventurous and can’t handle bumps in the road, roaming horses and maybe some food you’ve never heard of, the occasional cold water shower only situation, this island is not for you. If you’d like to go to beaches where there are no people taking up your space and you can respect and hang with the locals, you just might have found paradise. Thank goodness for what it is, the most beautiful unspoiled island. We’ve already booked a second trip and may end up being locals some day! Remember, don’t tell anyone!
Tiki S — Google review
Never in my life did I think I can find paradise. This is a hidden gem in the Caribbean. If you can make it here. (Which can be very difficult getting from the main island to Vieques) It is absolutely a place that is absolutely worth the trouble to get too. Pictures are from black sand beach. (Notjer hidden spot on this island) FYI need a 4x4 or like us be really skilled with the golf cart to get here. The road leading in has ditches running down the center. It was so sketchy but so much fun and an experience to always be remembered.

An incredible island still somewhat damaged by hurricane Maria but recovering nicely. Beautiful beaches and a beautiful people with strong spirits and kind hearts. Absolutely beautiful island. The horses that roam free are very friendly! Many beaches to explore. Truly, an island with something for everyone. Some beaches have great surf(laChiva), others are ideal for visitors with young children(Sunbay). Best of all, the best things cost nothing but your time! The culture is friendly and welcoming. We were blessed with amazing sunsets.
Shanna P — Google review
Took the 10 a.m. & came back on the 6 p.m. ferry. Strolled around town & Munoz Rivera Plaza. Saw the beautiful wild horses! Took a taxi to Sun Bay Beach. Nice clear crescent shaped beach, clean & uncrowded. Collected some shells, saw some horses, roosters & hens on the beach. On the way back to the ferry we went to Sea Glass Beach. No sea glass on the beach...could be due to the strong waves. We had fun chasing the waves! Walked back to the ferry terminal which allowed us to see more of the neighborhood. It was overcast & rained hard a few times when we were on the island. We booked the ferry tickets online so make sure to check the weather forecasts around the day you want & don’t book too far ahead. Get the earliest ferry if you can (5 a.m. for passengers). May be a good idea to rent a vehicle if you want to see more of the island. It was our first time in Vieques island & hopefully not the last. We’ll stay longer than just a day trip next time. Seeing the Paso Fino horses roam & graze freely was a truly wonderful experience.

Only reason a have it a 4 out of 5 it's because of the types of tables provided. It's more of a lounge place but makes it difficult to eat the food that way. Other than that? This is one of the most romantic places I have ever been. The staff? Crazily kind and hospitable and great in service. Very knowledgeable with any questions regarding their menu in drinks or food. They can do certain accommodations as well wt the menu. My favorite was the Thai Ceviche. I could eat like 8 dishes of that. And the drinks? Never seen anything more creative, delicious or beautiful. The drink Salitre was the most beautifully served imo but all of them are perfectly served.

What a great restaurant to finish our vacation! Awesome ocean view. We enjoyed all of our meals. My dad had a side of potatoes and peppers with his meal and they were seasoned amazing. It was so dang good. I splurged and ordered the lobster. It was to die for! Nothing like a fresh lobster on the beach. I would come back here!

Stopped here for a casual lunch. Ordered some beers & the mixed fried appetizer. Food was good. Beers were cold (they just have the usual Domestic beers but, no IPAs or craft local beers). View is beautiful, of course, as the restaurant is right on the beach.

I’ve really enjoyed the food here, we’ve eaten here three - four times when in the area, including take out. We’ve also come at night during the summer and there was a good DJ/ live music. I recommend a visit, if in the area. The sunset is amazing from this location/ beach.

Amazing spot right on the beach!! One of my husband’s friends said it was the place to go… he was right! We went there on Friday and then again on Sunday before we left. The ceviche was delicious and the pina coloda was so creamy! Oh and the rice and beans were 10/10! Also.. where else are you gonna get a bucket of 5 coronas for $10! Of your taking them onto the beach they put them in a bag with ice! We can’t wait to come back!!

Great place while in Puerto Rico. The food is excellent, from the chicken wings, burgers and Fresh Fish dishes. We visited this restaurant 3 times in 8 days, that’s how good it is. The beach is pretty damn great also.

Ok let's just say that the food here was amazing. I ordered the mofongo relleno con churasco y ajo. It was flavorful and delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection. The sauce was excellent as well. My friends and I all shared out food and were all super happy with our choices.

Right on the water and a perfect spot to relax and sip on a drink or turn up with your squad. The food we got (a classic burger and steak quesadilla) surprised me a lot. I was thinking it was another generic tasting beach bar. Noooooooo. Flavors were on point. I personally just wish my quesadilla had some spiciness aspect to it. Some peppers or hot sauce would have made it a perfect 10/10 for me. Other than that. This place is great and worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Nono's is a vibrant sports bar located in Old San Juan, housed in a charming buttercup-yellow colonial building. It's a popular spot with a casual and lively atmosphere, where you can catch football on TV, enjoy games of pool, and savor cold beers. The central location makes it an ideal place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Known for its selection of drinks, Nono's offers a variety of beers and cocktails without overwhelming choices.
We stopped here for a few drinks while exploring the San Juan area. Great beers and I found a new beer for me that I found great. Bartender was very attentive. Great easygoing atmosphere.

Stopped by at Nono’s this afternoon for some refreshments. Sat at the bar and ordered papa rellena, croquetas de bacalao, Cuban sandwich with fries. Drink was Medalla and piña colada. Everything was good except the croquetas, we really didn’t like it much. Overall was good.

When we’re in Old San Juan, Nono’s Bar is our very first stop for a refreshing cocktail. We were there a week ago and enjoyed some deliciously cold and strong parcha (passion fruit) mojitos!🍹 Returned a few days later for some Pina Coladas and again they knocked it outta the park! Friendly bartenders, beautiful old school atmosphere, salsa 💃🏽 music playing and dancing bartenders, what more can you ask for in Beautiful Old San Juan? 🇵🇷 See you soon, miss you already Nono’s!

We saw this bar/restaurant returning from the Castillo San Felipe del Morro, we went inside just for one drink and we ended up having 5 drinks and some appetizers. The Mojitos are great specially the coconut with maracuya.

Drinks were good and priced decently. The cuban sandwich was pretty good. This is a local spot and not a tourist trap. However, they need to hire a friendlier bartender than the lady that was tending bar when we visited. She seemed annoyed and miserable.

Skip this place. We came to Nono’s because we had our first mojitos here several years ago and they were great. Now, the Mojitos are small, made with a mix, very little peppermint and no lime - and expensive. There are way better places within 100 meters of this place.

The bartender was a little surly at first but seemed to warm up by the time we were ready to leave. My husband was really interested in local brews and rum selection so maybe we asked too many questions. Hahaha. Prices are on the high side but the cuban sandwich was pretty good and the atmosphere is nice.

Mexican restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant area of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, Oveja Negra Tacos al Carbón offers a unique dining experience that pays homage to the Prohibition-era speakeasies. With its intriguing name meaning 'black sheep,' this hidden gem thrives on word-of-mouth recommendations and requires a special password for entry—adding an air of exclusivity to your visit. The ambiance is lively, making it a popular spot among locals and visitors alike.
Another great place to eat and drink with your friends and family. Superb customer service as well as the taste of cocktails. Food's taste is outstanding ans prices better. I will be back. Enjoy.
Cosme T — Google review
I went to the bar a couple nights back for the first. The ambiance of the restaurant was good, the music and decorations went with the Mexican/Argentinian theme. The bar was sat with two girls, what seemed like a regular patron of the restaurant/bar and myself (4 people total). Both bartenders that night (Paola and Caleb I believe) ignored me for around 10 minutes, until Paola came over and asked what I wanted to drink. I told her it was my first time at the restaurant and she briefly introduced herself and pointed to her coworker, and told me about the restaurant’s concept. I told her that I needed some time to think and was ignored for another 5-10 minutes. I finally ordered my spicy strawberry margarita, which was awesome! As a former bartender, I recognize that the liquor selection and the mixers used were thoughtfully selected and made. I then ordered two tacos to start, and I was not offered water or even given napkins for the tacos. My first round of food came probably 15 min later. I was still not offered water or a xtra napkins. I tried to ask Caleb for these, but since I wasn’t speaking English, I suppose he “didn’t understand” lol 🤦🏽‍♀️. Paola gave me the items once requested. I then ordered a second round of tacos and was given one extra napkin by the food runner. Paola kind of tried to rectify the service, but by that point it was too late. I ordered my dessert, and once I was all finished, I had to wait another 15 minutes to get checked out. While the food was great (I had octopus, barbacoa, pork belly, and carnitas tacos, as well as a guava, cheese and jalapeño special dessert), the bar service left a lot to be desired. I have worked as a bartender and a server before, and understand the pressures and expectations of the job - if you wanna make money that is. The restaurant WAS NOT packed for the poor service that I received. I was hoping to scope out this restaurant for my birthday dinner in a couple weeks for my family and I, but sadly I will be choosing another establishment, where the steps of service are followed and I’m not made to feel like I’m ignored by the people providing me service. I feel like the bartenders assumed I wasn’t going to tip them enough, therefore they kind of just brushed me off. I’m usually a 30% tipper if the service was outstanding - especially at the bar bc I know what it’s like. The service I recieved was not worthy of my usual tip. If you “look like you’re from San Juan”, it’s best to steer clear of here. Callejeros is a better bet 🤷🏽‍♀️🙊
Amayah V — Google review
The service is phenomenal. The personnel is attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The Birria de Cordero portion is excessively large. You can easily share between two adults. Although the flavor was missing, the plate presentation and additional sauce balanced everything. The empanadas are incredible and well seasoned. Overall, it was a great place and food.
Noel G — Google review
We ordered from their on line menu for pick up. When they called to confirm the order, the prices were inflated 50%. I asked why, said they knew the menu online had inaccurate prices. I asked to take some items out of order. When my husband showed up to pick up order they said they honored the posted prices and asked him to take the entire order. He did. But when he arrived we looked at receipt, they had charged the inflated prices anyway. Very deceiving and unprofessional. Fix your online menus and stop tricking people!

Great quality drinks! With an effective valet parking and friendly staff. This place is recently open and a lot of people are going to find what’s new. Fridays at 6pm there will be an hour waiting list to dine in. About the food, there is room for improvement. For the price could be better food.
Valek — Google review
Good ambiance. The margaritas were a bit underwhelming, barely tasted the alcohol and felt like just juice. The tacos were really good, but I think they're way overpriced. The octopus taco was amazing, but $8?!!! Thats way too much for a portion that is on the smaller side. The pork belly was good and tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. It was $5, similar to other traditional tacos. I've gone to local/traditional taco restaurants that charge $2.50-3 for tacos that are bigger portions and taste as good even better than this ones. Unless they drop the taco prices to a fair amount, I doubt I'll come back despite the food being good.

2 stars for the awful bartenders that they have. No one was happy to be there, which is fine but at least have some good customer service. To top it off, I asked for a Tequila Sunrise which the girl shook her head "no" to - I then asked to get any mixed drink with good Tequila and she gave me cheap Jose Cuervo with pineapple juice. The atmosphere was ok, a lot of people standing but it was packed which I personally enjoy and the music was good.

Security everywhere. They make it hard to move around when they are in every doorway. Even after they pat you down, they almost don’t move out of the way. After getting around them and the terrible dancers, we were met with a nice looking bar. But the bartenders need to be watched cause they put a lot of ice and juice/soda in your mixed drinks. After drinks we went to the balcony to get hookah and after the guy made the hookah he never told us the flavor. When we found some seats on the balcony we had a few more drinks, but they do not play any mixture of English music. They play techno and knock off Latin hip hop so of course from the states we couldn’t dance to anything. Around 4am they told us that they were closing and kicked us off the balcony along with other ppl from the states. But we notice they were still letting ppl in the club after we walked out. Be warned it’s in a bad neighborhood so your Uber driver might cancel on you 4-6times before you get someone. Two stars are for the clean and nice space. Wouldn’t come back.

One of the best culinary experiences of my life. Chef Ciarán is a magician and every person that works there is just incredible! Do not miss the opportunity to go to this magnificent culinary gem! 1st course : lobster roll, homemade brioche with caviar and a tart with cream, cured egg, and truffle. 2nd: tuna crudo 3rd: house made sourdough, whipped ricotta with olive oil, prosciutto, and candied walnuts 4th: pasta with conch and spicy tomato sauce with fresh Parmesan 5th: porchetta with black beans 6th: pineapple upside down cake and coconut trifle with mango 7th: chocolate and hazelnut ice cream sandwich

We made a reservation for the Playlist Chef’s Table experience and WOW—-it was amazing. We were seated at the bar and right from the first moment we felt like we were a part of the back of the house team! The food was amazing—watching the chefs prepare the food with such love and care was a sight to see! We also got the wine pairings with each course. All were amazing and the wine service was great, too. Highly recommend this dining experience!

Pio Pio is a very cute coursed hole in the wall restaurant in the middle of Old San Juan. The chef is a cute Irish gentleman with a terrific Puerto Rican inspired menu. Highly recommend the Con Coco cocktail, which is basically an old fashion with coconut flavoring. The meal started with a cream tart, lobster roll, and a crudo. I especially liked the creaminess of the lobster roll. Following that was a swordfish tortellini — I’ve not had a fish tortellini before and I was pleasantly surprised at the texture and flavor! Easily my favorite with at the restaurant. It was magical to see the staff make the tortellinis in front of us. We liked the lamb and dessert as well. But the real star after the tortellini was the Irish coffee with an ice cream sandwich. Beautifully sweet but not overpoweringly so. Great vibe and a family feeling amongst the staff, they definitely are passionate about what they do! Do note that the meal will get into the $300s for two, so if that’s not your cup of tea then be warned.

This is one of the top 5 meals of my life! Such an intimate setting, you get to talk to the chef’s and watch them create the amazing cuisines. I would highly recommend the tasting menu. On top of the food, had the best champagne and white wine I have ever had. As not a huge wine person I would have finished both bottles if I want so full from all the amazing food.
Thomas Y — Google review
I ordered the tasting menu expecting individual servings, but what we received were shared plates for two people something that was never explained to us when ordering. While that lack of communication threw us off, I have to say the food itself was amazing. The pasta was absolutely delicious, and the lamb was incredibly tasty. Despite the confusion, I’m happy to give them a second try.

Pio Pio completely turned our night around after a disappointing experience at a restaurant nearby! The food was absolutely top notch. There were multiple times when we stopped to note that we had never tasted anything like the dishes we had at Pio Pio. The drinks were excellent too. The cocktail list was very unique and creative. Lots of interesting clarified cocktails. The drinks themselves were so good we ended up getting multiple rounds. We could tell that the owners and staff cared a lot about what they were doing, and this shined through our every experience there. Pio Pio made me want to move to San Juan permanently. 10/10, A+, 🔥

Walked in and got a table for two without a reservation. Ordered the Con Coco which was strong but delicious. Also ordered the lobsters rolls, eggplant which was surprisingly yummy and the pasta with meatballs. Staff was super friendly. Was a bit on the pricey side but worth it!

This was a really fun tasting experience - creative big swings that all landed with us. The wine paring was pretty good too, call it an A-. We're glad we did it even if it wasn't life changing. And I hope everyone gets to try the "Puerto Rican Moonshine" (Pitorro?) at the end - definitely a special finish! My only very minor critique is that they do the check via POS terminal brought to your table while they wait. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but it just feels a little fast casual for an otherwise higher end dining experience.

The disheveled-chic theme woven through the decor adds to the ambiance that immediately transports visitors to the streets of Havana.
One of my favorite bars I’ve ever been to. Go to the “desvio” side room where there’s no menu but the bartender will make you a bespoke cocktail curated to your taste. This isn’t food. It’s cocktails. Better than anywhere on the islands. These people know how to make drinks. I asked for a cocktail commemorating our time in the Caribbean, evoking its beauty. He made me a wonderful smooth Caribbean old-fashioned with Kahlua and chocolate bitters. Then I asked for something reflecting the fruit and flavors of the islands and he made a coconut rum drink that was smooth, distinctive and multi-flavored. Finally (my wife and I were sharing these) I asked him for his version of a classic, and he made a wonderful Daquiri with pineapple rum. These are served in proper glasses. I wanted to stay but had to go to dinner. I left full of ideas for my own cocktails.

I will never come here! I wouldn't suggest for tourist ppl to come and party at this bar. I ordered a hookah and they never brought it to me. I had to come ask for it and when I did they gave me attitude. They handed the hookah to me and once I sat down on my table the hookah wasn't even on. Then I proceed to ask for help once they told me take it to the front bc they gave you a non working one the guy is like you took it like that so is your fault smdh! Seriously !? No wonder ppl don't come to PR I'm just speechless ..!

Extremely high intensity music at 3:30 AM. The DJ is not synchronizing the music with the vibe of the crowd. Cool venue but really needs better DJs.

TERRIBLE i got pepper sprayed at this place BY THE SECURITY GUARDS because i felt a type of way that the male guards were using actual force to push me and other females out the way including my friend that is clearly in a boot and crutches and putting their hands on us this is the second night in a row they put their hands on females and my guy friend tried to help then two of them dragged him out and punched on him which was unnecessary

Service and atmosphere were great. I was only here for lunch, and I ordered the blandest items on the menu that I could... two ground beef tacos and a chicken tostado. Both came on pre-fried perfectly formed shells. Tacos had the meet, pico, and cheese. 2 tacos for $6. Chicken tostada for $6. And sangria (Capri Sun looking juice packs) for $3. The menu was not big at all. Very small and very simple items... I'm assuming due to being right on the beach for people who just want to eat between sun and water runs. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick nice cheap meal!

The venue boasts a rich musical history and a vibrant atmosphere that perfectly blends with the sound system and vinyl records spinning. The cocktail menu is carefully curated to offer strong yet simple drinks. While it may get busy after 9 pm, arriving early is recommended to secure a seat and enjoy the variety of cocktail drinks and appetizers.
Randomly wandered into here and had the most amazing night. It was busy but the vibes were perfect. Cocktail servers find you in the crowd. The dj on Saturday night was incredible and was so effortless in her execution. Be hip, cool, and go with the flow or you’ll likely be looked at like you don’t belong.
Lucas D — Google review
As a first time visitor, I enjoyed La Disquera. The cocktails were superb and the food was delicious. Where it started to go down for my experience was with the vibe and the service. When we got there the place was full and the server very helpful located us at a small spot in one of the back rooms, and we placed the order before he left. We ordered food and cocktails and the cocktails arrived but the food took forever. We were almost done with our cocktails when I told the server to cancel our food order cause it never arrived and we were ready to go he said it’s coming in a couple minutes so we waited anyway and the food didn’t disappoint but the wait time did. The vibe of this place is strange. I’m not referring to it as an unsafe place, I mean that it’s weird ambiance. The decor is pretty chill but well thought out to the name of the place.
José C — Google review
When we arrive at La disquera the atmosphere was like chill and relaxed, the music wasn't really loud, then the party started with very good reggaeton songs. Maybe it's a little overpriced, but it's a good place to drink wine, I mean it's different than the rest of the bars where I been in PR. Plus, the place stays open later than the others, and you might even run into reggaeton artists there

Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to

Oscar G — Google review
Didn't know a place like this existed in PR anywhere until a good friend took us here..kinda want to keep it a secret but won't as it's perfectly sized for a good time regardless of crowd size. the sound system, the vinyl records spinning and the rich musical history of the building and people all seem to mix and mingle just right to create a great buzzphere. The Cocktail menu is refined in a purposeful way to create what seems to be quick and simple but strong cocktails. Makes for a fun night if you have some fun friends, or come to make some. Staff was super friendly as well.kudos.
Lucas G — Google review
As a woman that enjoys sitting solo at the bar with a cocktail, I can say I always feel safe here, which is priceless. The music is always on point; from NIN to Fania and carefully curated disco, the decor feels intentional not random, and the sake list has gems like Sayuri. The chicken sandwich is pure perfection. I’m picky with vibes, and this place gets it. PS. Still holding out hope they bring back the legendary hot dog that vanished from the menu. Sometimes I dream about it 🥹

Restaurant
El Jibarito is a long-standing restaurant in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, known for serving classic regional and Caribbean-style dishes. The restaurant offers a family-friendly ambiance with salsa music playing in the courtyard and simple decor. Despite its casual atmosphere, El Jibarito has earned a reputation for having some of the best mofongo in the area, attracting both locals and tourists.
During our recent visit to this restaurant, we were greeted by a waiting list. The duration of the wait can vary. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with authentic decor. However, parking is limited. The service was exceptional, and the cuisine was extraordinary. Our meal consisted of fried chops, arroz con gandules, garlic shrimp, fried plantains, white rice with beans, and cube steak with onions.
Kendry R — Google review
The staff were amazing and the inside of the restaurant is super fun. The food though was lacking for most of our group (mofongo was the winning meal). Everything was lacking flavor and the salads were just some clumps of lettuce with a tomato chunk with no dressing. No one in our group was happy with the food and we just ate because we were hungry but we didn't bring anything back with us. Steaks were thin, chicken had no flavor, the shrimp were sad, and the rice was so-so. The drinks were good and the restaurant is located in a popular location and was packed on our visit. Maybe their food will work for you but we'd recommend looking around because there are lots of restaurants nearby. Good luck 👍

We had dinner here, and had to wait a bit for the table but we were fine with that. We saw that people who came after us were seated before us though. Once we finally got seated, no one brought us any menus, so that was inconvenient. We had to grab them ourselves from the front. We had the baked filet and baked salmon, the filet was better than the salmon. The green plantain and trifongo were pretty good.

This is the second time I came here during two different visits to Puerto Rico. The food is very authentic and very tasty. The service is also really great. It was very consistent from the first time I came here and the last time. Also if you want authentic Puerto Rican food, this is the place to come to. I got the garlic, chicken and yellow rice, my husband got breaded chicken Tostones, and we ordered a side of garlic sauce, all of which were excellent. You have to try their local beer, Magna. All in all a wonderful experience and a must stop through for lunch or dinner
Bhargavi A — Google review
A friend from Puerto Rico recommended this place, he gave some great advice. He said it reminded him of home cooking. I had to get the Red Snapper at his suggestion. It looked so good I grabbed a bite before thinking about a photo, it was delicious. The spices really made it sensational and it was very moist.
Chuck W — Google review
When I was a kid my mom made cube steaks regularly. Haven’t had one since visiting this restaurant over 50 years later. It was so tasty. The yellow rice was good and even better with garlic sauce on it. My husband had the garlic chicken that he said was great. Sorry no food pics. We were so hungry we forgot. But definitely authentic PR food. Don’t miss this place.
Kathleen A — Google review
Authentic atmosphere and definitely a popular spot, so the long wait made sense. But the food simply didn’t live up to the hype. No offense to the cuisine at all, but the dishes we tried tasted more like fried pastries with a hint of meat rather than actual protein. The fried beef and fried fish had almost no substance and the flavors didn’t come through. I genuinely wasn’t sure there was any fish in the fish (pictured). The cubed meat was also underwhelming, just basic meat sitting in oil. We even asked the table next to us, who had the Christmas plate, and they said they were confused by it as well and wouldn’t recommend it. Overall, the experience left me unsure what the hype is about. Not somewhere I’d return.
Naz M — Google review
It was a little loud. But that was due to the lively nature of the venue. The food was delicious. My brother and I had the Jibarito sandwich. The meat was super tender. They put a buttery garlic drizzle on the tostone top. It was amazing!

La Casita de Rones is a historic restaurant in Old San Juan that offers delicious food and drinks. It's perfect for Instagram Photos because of its beautiful setting and the cruise ships passing by. Unfortunately, there are no offers currently available.
Such a beautiful restaurant with great scenery, especially outside overlooking the water! Our waitress was very attentive and gave great recommendations as it was our first time here. The piña colada is so creamy and delicious, 10/10 have to try and the espresso martini was really smooth too! The starters we ordered were all very solid, Fried Cheese 8.5/10 really different cheese texture but so good. Rum Glazed Chicken Wings, great flavor 9/10. Firecracker Pork Dumplings had an incredible sauce 9/10! For entree's we got the Chicken Stuffed Mamposteao and Skirt Steak and wow the portions were so big! Both were very solid, overall I'd highly recommend checking out this place!

My boyfriend and I were excited to try this restaurant after seeing the reviews but we were disappointed. The food was good but nothing to rave about. Our waiter was so sweet and always checked up on us. Unfortunately, what ruined it for us was the managers attitude towards us when he saw 4-5 pigeons attack our table and eat our food within seconds of it being placed in front of us. We were told "next time just shoo them away they are just hungry" and he acted like it was an inconvenience to remake our food. Won't be back
Raven H — Google review
While we didn’t wait to be seated we did sit for a good 10-15 minutes before we had to personally stop a server to ask for drinks and menus. Once we did that service was quick and our server was great. Everyone in my party got different dishes and I wasn’t overly impressed with mine (the rum chicken with fried plantains) but the skirt steak my friend got was delicious. The rice and beans were also delicious. The atmosphere was very cute and the water views were nice but the sun was a bit blinding on the back patio even being under the flower ceiling they have. No fault of theirs just something to be mindful of depending on the time of day you visit.

Definitely go for the Ambience and service, the look and feel were great, cocktails for sure…. NOW IF YOUR HUNGRY go somewhere else, the food was poor my daughter and I had two plates of the Chicharron de pollo (fried chicken chunks) and it the chicken was fried maybe a day or two days before it was dry and bland. Wife had the Carne the Cerdo frita (fried pork chunks) with Rice and beans, the side was miles ahead of the protein again not fresh and over cooked, dry and bland. Only saving grace was my son who had the Rum glazed wings those looked and tasted fresh, plumpy and the glaze was great….

This was our first time visiting La Casita de Rones in Old San Juan and it was a good experience. The back patio is great as it overlooks the ocean and overall has a nice vibe. The food was good, pictured is the Fish Tacos and the chicken breast dinner. The drinks were also good, but had to be put in plastic cups due to a water shortage issue. Overall a good experience and we would visit again.

Stopped by this bar at La Casita (pink) in Old San Juan with the intention of enjoying a nice cocktail before taking the ferry to Cataño for dinner. My husband and I felt that we were being totally ignored and not welcome by the woman bartending. She placed two glasses of cold waters in front of us without saying a word. We ask for two mojitos and she insisted that we download the menu before serving us drinks. She then went on chatting, more like flirting away with a customer that looked like he’d had enough! The prices are ridiculously high and I’m sure that she’s not a talented mixologist, so thank you lady for ignoring us, because we saved our money and went to a much better place…Nono’s Bar 🙌🏽🍹🥰

An iconic place to visit when in Puerto Rico. On the weekends this place becomes an outdoor club. Tons of people visit to hear music, dance, eat and drink. They have various restaurants and bars to keep you happy. It is an awesome vibe. Plenty of lights, neon, and music. Parking is tough but they have various parking lots in the area. Drinks are cheap and the food is good.

If you go during the day, bars and many of the reastraunts are closed. There will be a market open with many fruits and vegetables. The real party doesn't even start until around 10 pm.

Nestled within the exclusive Ritz Carlton Reserve, the Spa Botánico is a luxurious haven for relaxation and rejuvenation. With its sumptuous decor and knowledgeable therapists, this spa offers a wide range of internationally inspired treatments to cater to every guest's needs. The stunning grounds resemble an ancient villa, featuring separate men's and women's sections where guests can enjoy various amenities such as hot pools, cold plunge pools, steam rooms, and an air-conditioned relaxation room.
Beautiful facilities and outstanding service. I received the best massage I’ve ever gotten from Carlos and our attendant Jose was very welcoming and friendly. I can’t recommend it enough!
Juan Z — Google review
The grounds are absolutely beautiful and our massages were wonderful. Javier has great hands and he delivered a much needed deep tissue massage. Lucy gave my husband one of the best massages he has ever had! I like the foot scrub before the massage too. Nice touch. I wanted to give Botánico five stars but there were some issues. It’s hard to find. Waze guided us to the wrong entrance. We were able to find the correct entrance and there were few signs guide us to the spa. The signs were also very small. Once we were in the vicinity, it was unclear where to park. We asked a guard who told us where to park and said to come back to him and he would direct us. He directed us to a ballroom, not the spa! Despite the detour we arrived. The spa has a beautiful entrance with a gigantic ancestral-looking tree shading the stairway and entrance. The staff was gracious and served a yummy herbal iced tea while we waited to be taken to our massage room. The showers, relaxation room and locker room have everything you could need. The biggest fail, however, is the lack of people when you need them. It’s difficult to find staff if you want something or have an issue. When the cool dip pool step broke when I stepped on it, there was no one around to tell. Luckily, I was holding on to the rail otherwise I would have fallen and hit my head on a rock like surface! The staff person I told asked if I was okay and I told her I was, however, no management came to check on me. I will have a bruise on my foot from the impact but overall I am okay. The service people we interacted with were great, however, for a large resort it’s staffed as if it’s a small resort. The food took an hour and 15 minutes to arrive. We were told 45-60 minutes. If we go again, we will know how to get there and what to expect. I think we had high expectations because it is the Ritz Carlton but the overall experience was mediocre at best, unsafe at worst.

Absolutely amazing spa and wonderful staff. My fiancé planned the most beautiful spa day and proposal two months ago with the help of all the staff. I will be back many times over!

My husband and I came here to celebrate our honeymoon and six year anniversary. The experience was amazing. It has been a long time since I felt this relax. Lucy was my masseuse and she did a great job of loosening the knots on my shoulder. Daphne was my husband's and helped me reach my goal in finding the perfect mango to eat from their garden while sharing the history and upcoming couples treehouse massage. Shannon reminded us of the facilities that we were able to use after the massage, so thankful because I took full advantage of them, and she gave a great recommendation for dinner. Perfect closure was having Mara escort us to the dinner location so we wouldn't get lost. Strongly recommend here. - The Garcias

The resort is beautiful I tried calling several Times and left messages with the staff to receive a call back from the spa, and unfortunately no one got back to me. There are mango trees in the back as well as mini pineapple plants growing. I would recommend

Anyway about the Spa, from the massive tree before the entrance through to the open relaxation area, then the private male or female area with pool, cold plunge, sauna, indoor relaxation area & dressing rooms to the private oasis were we experienced our couples tamarind bodyscrub and massage….everything felt like a world class experience. I’ll never see a spa the same way again! Tips: If you have a service booked get there an hour early then plan to stay later. I should have planned to spend about 4 hours total but we had other thing booked which we almost canceled. You don’t need to have a service booked to use the spa, you can pay to enjoy the facility.

Absolutely stunning spa, it's more than the nice massage itself which you can get anywhere else. The grounds are reminiscent of an ancient villa, with separate men and women's sections. You can be as clothed or unclothed as you like. I sat in the hot pool and rotated between that, the cold plunge pool and the steam room. There is also a very nice air conditioned relaxation room. See pictures for more details. The standard massage was fairly Swedish. They gave it a Spanish name but it wasn't that different from anything else I have experienced. Very nice staff and I felt relaxed and rejuvenated! DEFINITELY GET THERE AN HOUR EARLY AND STAY LATE so you can enjoy the grounds and the experience. This is not a rush in and out to get your massage kind of place. Make it an unrushed experience and you won't regret it.
