Hemingway's Manly is a popular hangout spot with a cozy, old-timey French bistro vibe located by the beach. The bar features book-lined walls and offers stunning ocean views, making it an ideal place to enjoy craft beer, cocktails, and cafe food. Under new ownership since 1980, the menu has incorporated French-inspired flavors alongside traditional offerings. The chef brings a wealth of experience from training with notable French chefs and has fine-tuned his culinary skills over the years.
I stumbled upon Hemingway's Manly while out for a walk, and I'm so glad I did! We've always walked past it but never went in until now. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating from the moment we sat down. The food was absolutely fantastic—my croque madame and the bad boy hot pot were both delicious and so filling! We also enjoyed some mimosas and coffee, which were spot on. What made the experience even better was how welcoming they were to my dog, Oreo. He even got some special treats, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

What an incredible place, sat outside at dinner on an 25C autumn evening and we were looked after so well by Sonia. With my allergies they reviewed what I could eat and the food timing was perfect. The baguette and butter, scallops with pea puree and steak frites, Creme brulee just yum. I had 2 cocktails Irish Ballerinas for me - baileys, chambord raspberry liqueur, Jameson whisky and salted caramel monin. A gentle stroll back to hotel
Katrina H — Google review
Hemingway's is a terrific place to sit and relax and enjoy the Manly vibe. The menu is not extensive but absolutely delicious. The restaurant has two floors of dining clean crisp décor. Emanual and the other staff are friendly, attentive and very accommodating. We had a very enjoyable lunchtime dining experience.
Mark P — Google review
Way overpriced for what it is. The food was good but not outstanding and at these prices could have been more generous. Hate to think of the cost had we been drinking!! Attentive service and cosy atmosphere.
Nicola — Google review
What can I say…sensational from the moment we walked in… definitely our sort of restaurant…. The food was to die for, All the music and songs.. were the French versions… you haven’t lived untill you you’ve heard “Raindrops keep falling on my head” in French 10/10
Stewart B — Google review
Burger was good, however, we asked for the cheese to be taken out but final product kept the cheese... even with the waitresses confirming this with us again after the order was in. I struggled to enjoy the fish and chips as the fish was just dripping with oil. On my way out I left a comment that the fish was very oily and she said it is because it is fried in oil... Thanks for the cooking lesson. The dishes were $33 each so I expected much better. Wouldn't recommend.
HS — Google review
We have often had breakfast at Hemingways that we have always enjoyed , very much like the owners and always happy to support local .So we decided we would give their dinner a go , we had dinner there a little while ago , found the food bland and the portions small . However our main complaint was the young French waitress who served us , she was unbelievably rude to the point that we will not return even for breakfast.
Angela M — Google review
I found this incredible restaurant in Manly last minute, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The owner/manager was exceptionally empathetic and accommodating, making our experience truly special. The food was outstanding—my partner raved about the rainbow trout, saying it was the best he’s ever had, and I loved the duck dish, wagyu burger and the crème brûlée dessert. The ambiance was delightful, with a French chic vibe and a quaint, vintage feel. The colour palette, mainly black and white with earthy tones, was beautifully accented by striking pops of red. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Plus, the location is perfect, right near the beach, providing lovely views whether you’re seated outside or by the window. I highly recommend this restaurant—it’s a true gem!

Bar
The Cumberland, located in Manly, is a semi-secret speakeasy that was awarded Australian Small Bar of the Year in 2021. Although temporarily closed due to flood damage, it has gained recognition for its elegant ambience and locally inspired drinks. The bar offers an array of cocktails with ties to 19th-century county lines and pre-prohibition era concoctions. With a focus on Australian flavors and whisky, it provides elevated cocktail options and a selection of whiskies from around the world.
This one was a bit tricky to find hidden away behind a fridge door at The Cove Deli! Great atmosphere, really friendly and attentive staff and a wonderful selection of cocktails! Unfortunately we didn’t get to eat as we just dropped in for a drink before heading out to dinner, but, the food looked great at the surrounding tables. Highly recommend the search.
Anna H — Google review
With an impressive list of crafted cocktails and 'unique spirits' (both the liquor and the staff) This hidden gem has a total speakeasy vibe that they successfully pull off. Solid appetizers by way of charcuterie & cheeses. Service is slow, but should be expected given the complexity of some drink orders. You are there for a cool experience and it delivers!
James C — Google review
Wife and I had a great night. Entry was through a little deli, then down a spiral staircase. Felt very prohibition-esque. Lovely choice of tables, very comfortable. We had a mixed board and chorizo, both of which were sensational and for drinks we had beer, rose and a few espresso martini’s, very well made and delicious. Service was impeccable, Ollie and Pete waited on us attentively and politely and were both very nice chaps. Great decor, awesome atmosphere and a thoroughly enjoyable night. Thanks all. We will be back.
G M — Google review
Charming little bar. The highlight is the attentiveness of the staff. Really lovely and completely not imposing. Loved the vibe of the place and the idea of walking through a deli counter . Didn’t order any food as I didn’t find anything to be excited about. Will possibly be back for the atmosphere and cocktails.

Great venue, lots of atmosphere, cool entrance ( and a challenge for newbies to find). Our last visit was during the Manly Jazz Fest and the trio in there were laid back and perfect for the venue. Mixed charcuterie plate was excellent. Food and drinks are on the expensive side but that's always the case, the premium is for the venue. Can be noisy if there is a noisy group in there but usually when we've been it's been fine.
Gary G — Google review
What a great venue. Tucked away on a side street of Manly, awesome little shop setup for the entrance, with a bit of mystery, secrecy to start up the experience. Running down the stairs a brand new world opens up and it is indeed cool as. Great cocktails, fantastic atmosphere, great service, great music (well, we went on a night when jazz was being played by one of the members of Thirsty Merc and that was just perfect). All in all, it was a great experience, definitely would like to return and try the rest of the menu. :)
Gábor G — Google review
Great underground hidden spot. The entry is cute and actually in use! So many underground spots waste the top entry, the team was cooking, and the food looked and smelled mourish. We managed to get in without a booking for two drinks. The service here was very outstanding, Flynn was spot on with his recommendations, and his choices surprised us, and we were so impressed. The team is efficient, and the vibe was on point. Will definitely be coming back.

Nestled in the heart of Manly, In Situ is a vibrant spot that transports you to Europe with its lively atmosphere and delightful courtyard dining. For over 20 years, this beloved establishment has been serving up an enticing mix of breakfast options, European tapas, pizza, and expertly crafted cocktails. The charming retro decor creates a cozy ambiance perfect for family gatherings or romantic evenings alike.
Really good place to chill and have some good food. Really good cocktails, especially the apple crumble. Amazing service by Charvin. We would recommend to anyone!
Khadaroo Y — Google review
I highly suggest booking the drag brunch! We had a fantastic afternoon at Insitu, filled with a lot of fun alongside friends and strangers. We opted for the bingo package, which offered an excellent combination of food, drinks and prizes. The queen and the staff were amazing, super friendly and accommodating. A special shout-out to Jorja for her support in helping organise the event.
Mandi R — Google review
InSitu is a great place to come in out of the cold on these cold winter nights. Even the back courtyard is cozy with a great ambient atmosphere. The menu is a little limited but very delicious and the wine list provides quality not quantity. We dined in on a Friday night and enjoyed the live music, great atmosphere and delicious food. The only negative was the lack of any lamb on the Slow roast lamb pizza. The staff are all upbeat and engaging and thanks to Jayde for helping us select our food and drinks. Definitely recommend for a night out in Manly.

Organised 21st celebration - super responsive communication when arranging. The night went really well. Pizzas were amazing - thanks for all the staff for making it a memorable night

Minz T — Google review
Really nice spot for a drink, their signature apple crumble cocktail is a must try! The food was good, we had some crispy squid which was nicely fried and crunchy. Just to note the fried stuff such as the squid and fries is not coeliac safe as they are in a shared fryer even though it’s marked gluten free. We also ordered the calabrese salami pizza with a gluten free base, the toppings were excellent but the base had a really hard crust. It was still nice to be able to enjoy a safe gluten free pizza with my partner. Definitely will be back for drinks in the future, the food menu could be a bit more extensive but do appreciate they have options for coeliacs.

Good food deals, friendly staff (Nathan is my fav, sorry Josh) and best Apple Crumble ever. Highly recommend visiting this place if you feel like good vibes at anytime!

The menu offers a fusion of Australian bush flavors with the sophistication of the Big Apple, serving up California-style snacks, Tex-Mex dishes, cocktails, pale ales, and more.
We had a girls bottomless. 10/10 recommend. There was so much great food, the service from Zafi was the best any of us have had at a bottomless before. Great music and atmosphere too. Accommodating to alcohol free too.

Compliments to the chef! The steak was cooked perfectly and the Bruschetta was amazing. Cool atmosphere and lovely staff. There’s really nothing to complain about. If you want a fun night out I highly recommend.

Donny's is always a great time. Good vibes, great staff, generally always live music, and a good selection of drinks. Can get a little crowded inside but there's the outside for everyone
Jehan H — Google review
We had a great experience with Donny's hosting a bachelorette evening for 20 guests. We opted for a set tasting menu and a drink package. The staff were flexible and helpful- allowing us to bring in decorations and arrive early for set up
Stephanie D — Google review
We had our pre-wedding party at the upstairs section of Donny’s, and it was absolutely perfect! From the start, working with Jorja was such a breeze—she’s amazing and made the whole planning process so easy. On the night, our host Harriet was incredible—she brought such a wonderful energy to our celebration. The whole team were fantastic! The food was another highlight. We had a 100% vegan menu, and even though we initially wondered if it might be enough, it turned out to be more than enough and incredibly delicious! Everyone loved it. We’re so glad we chose Donny’s—it was the best decision all around for service, food, and value. Huge thanks to the whole team for making the night so memorable!

Amazing service and drinks during happy hour! Such a vibe
Sophie W — Google review
We had our daughter’s 21st in the upstairs section of Donny’s Bar last weekend and it was soooooooo much fun! It was the perfect size for our event, the decor suited our theme perfectly and the musicians for the night (Gabe Parisotto and Ellis Hall) rocked the whole place! Our all-vegan menu was delicious and all the cocktails were superb! Jorja, Jordan, Zafi, Matty, Joe, Dominic, Indi, Luke - the whole team was faultless! All our mad-cap and annoying requests were fulfilled and all with a smile ☺️ Thank you all so much for making our party not only memorable but EPIC!

Held our dirty flirty 30th birthday, hens and bucks night here. We had an amazing night. Food was delicious and plentiful. I got the snacks package and tacos for everyone. All the tacos were tasty. No one was left hungry! We also got the treasure chest cocktails which was just so much fun. Everyone loved mixing their drinks. The venue is so well themed. Staff were super friendly and helpful. 100% would recommend. My friends all loved dressing up and can't stop chatting about how much fun they had!

Manly Wharf, located in Sydney's Northern Beaches, serves as a central hub for both transportation and leisure activities. The wharf offers a variety of dining and entertainment options, making it a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. Dining and Entertainment: Felons Manly: Formerly known as Wharf Bar, this venue has been transformed into a craft brewery featuring 150 new alfresco seats and a fresh menu curated by a former Rockpool chef. The Bavarian at Manly Wharf: This restaurant offers a range of Bavarian dishes and has received positive reviews for its menu and service. Recent Developments: In 2023, the Artemus Group acquired the lease for Manly Wharf and the Manly Wharf Bar. Plans include enhancing family-friendly spaces and improving facilities, though specific details are still in development. Overall, Manly Wharf continues to be a dynamic destination, offering a blend of dining, entertainment, and scenic beauty.

A moderately rough day at sea today (18 July 2025,). Not a problem for the gallant Freshwater ferry though. A wonderful experience was had on a forty year old Australian boat made in Newcastle. What a tough ship it is. Sadly, once off the ferry, Manly Wharf is bleak and most shops are closed. Move on by foot straight ahead, or turn right for a more sedate taste of Manly.

We took a 40 minutes ferry ride from Circular Quay to Manly Wharf. Other than ferry, there were other public transport options too. The beach and the sea around Manly Wharf were very beautiful. We couldn’t help but take some photos to capture the moment before proceeding to North Fort.

The Manly Fast Ferry departs from this wharf to Circular Quay. You need to have a ticket from a private company to use this service. I wish you could use your Opal card here, but for now they operate their own ticketing system.

Located in Manly, 4 Pines Brewpub is a modern microbrewery offering craft beers and gourmet pub food. The brewpub provides outdoor dining and even hosts a weekly magician for entertainment. Known for its award-winning craft beers, 4 Pines has gained popularity in the Australian craft beer scene. The Manly location offers a picturesque setting near the ferry wharf, allowing visitors to enjoy their freshly brewed beers while watching the sunset.
Took the wife and kids (11 and 13) here for the first time and absolutely loved it. At first, I wasn’t sure. Let’s be real, it’s not the prettiest place, and I was a bit skeptical. But then I reminded myself it’s a pub, not a fine dining spot. Once I got past that, we ordered a mix of dishes. The steak, burgers, and salads were spot on. Way better than a lot of high-end restaurants I’ve been to. Super impressed. Just keep in mind you’ll need to place your order at the bar. Prices were really reasonable for what you get, which was a nice surprise. Only downside was parking. Street parking is pretty limited, but there are Wilson and other local car parks nearby. At the time of writing this, we paid $20 for 4 hours, which wasn’t too bad. Overall, a solid experience, and we’ll definitely be back.

A great pub, wicked trendy staff and so many good drinks. The food is also fantastic and the house rosé is delicious which makes me very happy. The beer range is amazing and very well priced for such a good location. I go so often that my parents were a bit concerned, but I took them and they loved it and fears reduced. Me and a few mates occasionally take a friends dog for a walk as an excuse because we secretly want to go to the pub, and it’s a real treat. It gets pretty busy but the staff are amazing and keep the pints flowing and people very happy. They also promote their free water station to keep us healthy. The balcony section is excellent for people watching. A plethora of sights from the city slickers returning home from a boozy lunch, to the awkward first date moments we all don’t enjoy experiencing but enjoy watching. Also the occasional beautiful sunset enhanced with a delicious beverage. The nitro stout is a firm favourite and the lemon squash is the perfect gateway drink if the dust hasn’t settled from the day before but you still want to have a lovely time. My friends also really love the Japanese lager and the new world pale ale. In summary, I love it and if you are in manly you have to visit.

We tried beers and a fish and chips. They offer 12 beers on tap along with other alcoholic brewed beers and drinks. The brewery offers a non- alcoholic beer that was okay. Good fish and chips, service and a nice view seating outside.

Great vibe, always friendly & fun, & renowned craft beer - AND there’s always a beer on CASK hand drawn 😱🏋️‍♀️🎉👊. RSB today. We always drop in when in Manly. Don’t miss - most people go straight for the beach off the ferry - turn right!!👍. Great Sunday roast too!!

Visited 4 Pines Brewpub Manly, and it was everything you’d want from a coastal brewery. The craft beers were excellent — crisp, flavorful, and perfectly chilled. The atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful, with sea breeze coming through and locals enjoying their evening. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable about the brews, offering great recommendations. It’s the kind of place that captures the spirit of Manly — good beer, good people, and ocean views. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sydney’s northern beaches.

Wonderful micro brewery with excellent skills. As a (almost) German I must say the Hefeweizen was a glass of "home" excellent taste 5/5! Sometimes you get a bit lonely with the time difference to home and a sip from Hefeweizen reminds you that everything is okay. Well done!

We went on the night they celebrated The Day of The Dead. The atmosphere was great. The Mariachi Band was fun. They were great. The food, the beer and the whole vibe was exceptional. Would recommend dining \ drinking here.

Been there for the first time. The place was cozy but atmosphere as really amazing. Its a small brewery but wonderful to have some chats with friends and drink. They have tasting beer and you can choose from different variants. And while they serve, they even let you the which one’s are the soft and hard with receipt of drinks simultaneously. The food runner ladies were very friendly. The view from the balcony is amazing, you can see the sunset. Overall my experience was wonderful. Might visit their very soon.

Our company hosted a function here, and the food was absolutely delicious. With over 40 of us, we had a private dining room overlooking Manly Beach, which made for a stunning setting. There was a generous amount of food, and every single dish was high quality. The starters included salt and pepper calamari with mayo and a prawn dish - both were incredibly fresh and flavourful, and I found myself going back for seconds. For mains, we had grilled chicken and slow cooked lamb shoulder, both well-seasoned and tender. The sides were also excellent - the salads were crisp and refreshing, and the potatoes were perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Dessert was a light cream topped with fresh berries (raspberries, blueberries, etc.), which was the perfect way to end a hearty meal. The restaurant itself was beautiful and buzzing with energy. Service was great too - attentive and friendly.

If you live within 5 Kilometres, with ID you can come here as a visitor. Manly 16ft Skiff Club has it all. Right on the water. Great views from all angles. The outside dining experience is nothing short of spectacular. The food and service it’s terrific. Or, better still, become a member here. Once you come here, you’ll want to come back. Full Bar Service too. Do come to try, see it has it all.

It is about a 10 minute walk when you get off the fairy following the water front. On arrival you have to sign in if you are not a member so do take a physical proof of identity and you have to live a certain distance from the club. There are seats inside and outside, both are great and you can book a table if you prefer. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there was live music playing. The food is reasonably priced but the drinks are on the higher side. It is full of locals which is a good sign. It is perfect if you have friends from interstate or overseas.

Great place to have lunch or dinner. Amazing views and good selection of food. Only a few minutes away from the ferry. The service was quick, and my fish burger was delicious. Would definitely come again.

Skiff Club is always one of my favourite spots but the service from Tom during our visit was outstanding. He was warm, attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was top notch as always – the fish and chips were perfectly crispy, the seafood pasta was full of flavour and everything came out quickly and fresh. Compliments to the team for another fantastic experience – the food, the views and the welcoming atmosphere made it a memorable afternoon. Can’t wait to come back soon!

We had our wedding reception here on the 25th of October , and it was absolutely wonderful — everything I dreamed of! The staff were beyond amazing, and the setup was perfect. Chloe and her team did their jobs to perfection, and I couldn’t have been happier. I was extremely impressed, and I have to give a massive compliment to the chefs — the food was so delicious! Everyone is still talking about it. I would 100% recommend this venue and friendly team for a wedding reception. I can’t thank them enough for making our day so special!

Love the Skiff Club - always a favourite but the service on Monday night from Riley was outstanding. I turned up on a rainy windy Monday night with 6 ppl including my mum in a wheelchair and forgot to book! - the outside tables were off limits, so it was packed. Riley helped me secure a table from some no-shows, and was just so nice and helpful about it. The bar staff were also excellent on Monday. As per usual the food was top notch - this time the tuna tartare, $20 rump, tasty chips and pepper sauce, and the excellent brussel sprouts were the faves.

I am a tourist from Vietnam. I had lunch at this hotel restaurant when I visited Manly Beach. The restaurant is spacious, airy and the food is quite delicious. Everyone should experience this restaurant when coming here.

Came for dinner in the Taproom on Good Friday night. Great food, particularly the fish and chips. Service was quick. Little bit loud atmosphere, but you'd expect this at a lively venue like the New Brighton.

I just hosted my 21st birthday here and it was phenomenal! The staff were amazing and accommodated every single request (even to the point of making special arrangements for someone who hadn’t submitted their dietary needs). We booked out the rooftop bar and had our own private space - such reasonable prices for what you receive. Bar staff were excellent and engaging with everyone, making the whole experience enjoyable. The events manager facilitated everything to perfection and it was all organised for the day, making it super smooth and easy. Honestly 100/10, venue, service, atmosphere. Could not recommend anywhere else to host your event - it was the most perfect day!

A very funny exchange with the bar staff when ordering one dozen oysters, to be told they only sold them by half dozen! Yep, I’ll order 2 half dozen serves then 🤷‍♂️. 12 oysters arrived, phew 😉 The seafood basket included fried & non fried tasty options and for me, the big winner was no chips. The lack of a side plate for shells, made for tricky eating at the narrow window bar. Great spot for people watching on a sunny arvo.

I was honestly shocked by the complete lack of security at this bar. A big family sat way too close to us, basically pushing us to move. One of the guys started raising his voice, his girlfriend took one of our chairs that we’d saved for our friends, and he shoved his chair into mine, trapping me. She even put her hands on my table. I called for the manager and asked for security, only to be told there was no security at all in the bar. The managers just said sorry and did nothing to handle the rude family. Absolutely unacceptable – could’ve turned ugly real quick. I had to leave quick .

We visited last weekend for a bite to eat & a couple of drinks. It is a really nice pub right on the Corso with a slim view of Manly Beach from the rooftop bar. We ordered the Loaded Fries to share & they were really good. The wait time was about 45 mins which we were informed about when ordering which was good but the pub wasn't really very busy. I also like the fact that all reviews are responded to which to me is the sign of a good business who cares about its customers & their feedback.

Shocking experience at the hands of immature, poorly trained staff members. On Saturday afternoon I went to this hotel to meet with a large group of about 15 friends - all adults over the age of 40 yrs, to enjoy cocktails at sunset.
We’d enjoyed our first cocktail when I went with my friend to purchase our 2nd cocktails. As we approached the bar, we were told by a young bar tender to come down to the other end of the bar (there was nobody else at the bar at this point in time). My friend asked why, and he said because that’s where he was going to serve us and if we wanted to be served, we’d have to come down there. I later realised that this had just been an immature power play. But despite the bartender’s demand coming across as extremely abrupt and rude, I still wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and assumed there must be some valid reason for this seemingly rudely delivered demand. We placed our orders and whilst we waited for our drinks to be made, we watched as others arrived at the bar at exactly the position we’d been standing originally and placed their orders with other bar tenders without being asked to go elsewhere. When he came back I said loud enough for him to hear that I might make a complaint about this bartenders attitude and politely asked him what his name was. He said it was Aiden. We paid for our drinks and left, but on the way back to our table my friend suggested that he may have given us a false name. I decided I’d go back and take his photo to be sure our complaint was accurate.
Seconds later, I was approached by security and told that I’d have to leave the premises. I thought at first he’d made a mistake and was supposed to approach someone else. My response was surprise as I asked why. He told me that I was intoxicated and abusive to the staff! I was shocked! I’ve never in my life been asked to leave a bar and drunken abusive behaviour is certainly not part of my persona! My response was that he couldn’t possibly be serious, as it was obvious that this was just not true. He told me I had 5 minutes to get out or he’d call the police. To which I responded that he should do just that. Then it would have obviously ruled out intoxication at the very least and no doubt the Police would be able to see for themselves what sort of people we were. No, it was obvious to all of us there that it was just a young disrespectful young man who once he'd realised he was going to be complained about, decided he’d exert his “power” by concocting some nonsense about us being drunk and abusive and have us removed. As my friend pointed out, if the bar tender had honestly believed us to be drunk, he should have refused to serve us at all! I understand the fines are $5000 for the individual server and $30,000 for the hotel owner! But he’d served us because he’d obviously had no reason not to.
The friends that we were with decided that they didn’t want to give the hotel any more custom and we all left and went to the Ivanhoe down the road which as it turned out was infinitely nicer anyway and with live music as well. On the way out, the bartender responsible for this stood at the glass behind the bar that overlooked the stairs to get out and laughed and shimmied and stuck his finger up at us as we were leaving, as did the rest of the bar staff. One of my friends took this photo of them! Though most left the window when they saw they were being photographed. We were all shocked and disgusted at such appalling behaviour and it showed that either there was no management at that bar or that whoever was in charge was part of it all. I’ve read other reviews on this hotel and it seems that "rude and obnoxious staff" is a recurring complaint. On some websites this hotel has only 2 stars. We will not be paying this establishment a 2nd visit. EDIT - FOLLOWING RESPONSE FROM "OWNER": You can't possibly know this because there was nobody else present at the bar except this barman! So you're defending staff who've lied. Your response shows just why your reviews about staff are so repeatedly poor.

Authentic Japanese restaurant
Daniel San is a Japanese rock n' roll bar located in Manly, Sydney. The eatery offers a unique blend of Japanese street food and traditional dishes in a vibrant setting with neon signs and sea views from the deck. The menu features an array of options, from sliders and salads to sushi, sashimi, and pub grub with a Japanese twist. The bar also boasts a wicked sake selection and hosts themed nights like 'Mr. Miyagi Fridays.'

Very lively place at night! Has a variety of interesting Japanese food. Also has a guideline on the portion of food which is very helpful. Quality and taste of food is great as well. The fried rice is amazing! The only downside is that I asked for chili sauce twice but it was never given to me. Other than that, everything was good!

Spacious, lots of tables, good place for groups and kids. Our area smelt a bit funky like wee- needed a bit of airing out but it stopped after a while. Great location, can see the beach across the road. The sashimi boat was delicious, and fresh. The steamed fish and veges kids meal was smaller than expected- fish was tiny.

We ordered a few starters, 2 kids chicken and 1 burger which was excellent but we didn’t enjoy the octopus too much. Sushi with good flavour but in general when we finish the meal I had a greasy flavour on my mouth maybe due to the salt and peper calamari. My punctuation is an average 3/5

Love the interior of this place, very unique and refreshing. Definitely piques the interest. Lots of seating available, both indoor and outdoor. Restrooms are kept clean as well 💯 The menu items were sadly disappointing. Cocktails and majority of the dishes were priced around $19, like the Beach Burger and Tempura Fish & Chips. I can't say it's worth the price. The burger had a small patty and huge amounts of tomato sauce, unnecessary. The fish was sadly forgettable and the chips could use a bit more seasoning but loved the dip it came with.

Really delicious Japanese food with a twist of Australian fusion. Their Japanese chicken katsu curry is a must get, the katsu was next level crispy. The interior is also really nicely decorated and has a nice ambience with live music. They also have a bar with really interesting refreshing cocktails.

We had the bottomless Bellini package that cost $59/pp. It quite disappointing because the food that was provided was so little. The Bellini package include free flow of Bellini for 2 hours, 1 bun each/pp, 6 rolls of salmon sushi (with low quality salmon), 1 okonomiyaki/pp, a bowl of lotus chips and 1 mochi ice cream/pp. We left there feeling hungry as the food provided was minimal. We do not recommend the Bellini package at all. We paid $120 for such little food. For $120 we expect more as manly have lots better restaurant. We also have counted that we can had more food if we ordered food individually. The decor of the place was filled with Sakura and feel the vibe of the sakura season.

Exceptional! What a fantastic place! We enjoyed dinner at the bar last night and just can’t stop saying how much we enjoyed it. The staff here deserve a commendation for creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere which makes you instantly feel relaxed. Their knowledge of the wines, and description of the food adds to the experience. The food itself is just as good, everything was mouth watering and I could eat on repeat. The venue is a small wine bar style but is an absolute vibe to be in. Banco is definitely on our favourites list now, I highly recommend going!

What a cracking joint this is. I was looking for a nice place in Manly to have dinner and the reviews on Banco were excellent. Then staff at another bar even recommended this as we were having pre-drinks. It was a great choice. On a Tuesday night it wasn’t overly busy. We walked in without a reservation and got a table. But there was still enough people in there to give a good vibe. The staff were super friendly, whether making cocktails, or coming out of the kitchen to talk about the food. They really made this an enjoyable experience. Of course, the food itself is the most important part and it was beautiful. We had the lobster roll, brown mushroom skewers, the octopus, beef rib and chips. They were all amazing…but whatever the octopus was done in was exquisite. The cocktails were also brilliant. We like spicy margs and they have their own version of a cocktail like that. It was the best cocktail I’ve had in any place in manly. So tasty. All round this is a cracking place and well worth the visit.

My fiancé and I have always been eyeing this place, it’s so chill and has such a warm vibe. The food was amazing and tender.. you can’t go wrong with anything! Spoiler alert: this restaurant is AMAZING! I could eat dinner every night there! The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious and innovative. They really worked hard to mix the flavours, textures, and elements (particularly their use of edible plants), leading us to discover plenty of new flavours. The waiter was hilarious and lighthearted, and we enjoyed every bit. We will come back for sure! Thanks again for the amazing experience.

We had a terrific experience at Banco last night. The restaurant is intimate without feeling like you're sitting on top of the neighboring table. Everything we ordered -- the chicken, snake beans, parrot fish, lobster roll -- was delicious, and there were some interesting wine for pairing. The old fashioned was a bit sweeter that I like, but I polished it off quickly anyway. Our server, Rhys, was knowledgable and provided good advice. Nice guy, too. We will be returning!

Lovely little bar/restaurant, we had the pleasure of having a Sunday Roast and we couldn’t praise enough, the staff were super friendly and welcoming, very quick service from Paula, helped us in our decision for drinks by giving a great explanation of their different wines etc. We were so surprised by parts of our meal, that we even asked Paula what they used (my partner and I love to cook, so wanted to steal some ideas) so she grabbed the Chef, Joseph, who came over and gave us such a great explanation, time frames and more, in which you could tell he takes pride in his work, we will be returning again, potentially weekly.

We had a fantastic, boozy, late lunch yesterday afternoon to celebrate a besties birthday. Service was attentive, friendly and our wine glasses were topped up all the time. Hugos is an excellent choice for lunch on a nice day in Manly. This place does not rest on the blessing of its location, they go much further. Nestled in the heart of Manly, the Ivanhoe Hotel is a vibrant three-story pub that beautifully marries a maritime theme with modern flair. This beloved local hotspot offers an inviting atmosphere for both families and younger crowds alike, making it perfect for any occasion. With its stylish indoor and outdoor dining spaces, guests can enjoy delicious bistro fare alongside refreshing drinks while soaking up the beach vibe.
We had the most scrumptious salt and chilli squid. The squid just melted in my mouth. The chilli aioli was absolutely to die for. I can report that my Dad loved the sauce so much, he grabbed it and drank the rest of it, even though the meal had been finished. The salad was tasty, with a nice tangy dressing for the leaves, cherry tomatoes and corn, which was a unique touch I appreciated. The jugs for the drinks are an absolute bargain. We got a massive jug of Lemon Lime & Bitters that was coolly refreshing and perfectly satisfied all four of us. The service was top notch - all our questions were clearly and concisely answered. They even modified our meals to suit our dietary requirements and double-checked to make sure the order was correct. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a cool breeze, simplistic yet satisfying decor and upbeat background music that uplifted even the pickiest of music connoisseurs (aka my parents). In the next two photos, you can see the Korean Chicken Burger (gluten free bun) and the Ivanhoe Burger. We leveraged the Wednesday special to get $10 off each of these. My Dad called his Ivanhoe Burger ‘the best burger I have ever eaten’, and at 77, he has certainly eaten a lot of burgers in his life. The Korean Chicken Burger was truly splendid and filling. It was beautifully crispy, the cucumbers and slaw nicely complemented the warmly melted cheese and the other ingredients. The chicken is so yummy. The chips were hot, crispy and overall stellar. The tomato sauce was so good. It wasn’t too salty. My wife and Mum shared a Scotch Fillet 300g steak that wholly filled them up. They even gave a mushroom sauce to die for, and the steak was perfectly medium. They even customised our order to have chips and vegetables, a Goated staple from the RSL menus. The vegetables were well seasoned with just the right amount of salt and pepper, not overpowering the other flavours. Note that there are no longer pizzas on the menu, which I loved in the past. But the meals that are still there are all absolute bangers. Burger connoisseurs should come every Wednesday. 10/10, would happily come back again.

The tuna tacos are very possibly the worst thing I have ever tasted, completely inedible. The tacos themselves had the strangest smell and the tuna definitely wasn’t fresh and had a slimy texture 🤮 My daughter also ordered the fish tacos and they had the same vile smell. I spoke to the staff about it but they were completely disinterested. Will never return and it’s a shame as the food used to be pretty nice there. Definitely the worst food experience we’ve ever had.

This place has a lot of potential. It's a nice set up just off the main walk down to the beach. There is a nice balcony to sit on and enjoy a drink while watching the street below. Unfortunately only one of the staff that I encountered wore a smile, the rest seemed very tired and not interested. The drinks arrived quickly, however the cheese burger I ordered took 25 mins to arrive (restaurant was not busy). The chips were cold, The burger was a small meat patty that was edging on dry with a slice of cheese and 2 pickle slices. The burger is fine for a friend's bbq but disappointing for a restaurant. This place can be great but needs improvement.

Very pleasant staff and amazing service! I had my engagement party on the Ivanhoe balcony space and it was such an amazing day. The party platters were full, aesthetic and most importantly, delicious! We were looked after by the staff the whole day and no request was too big or too small. I would highly recommend working with their events team. I dealt with Daniel and he made the whole organisation of the event an easy and care free experience. Definitely enquire the Ivanhoe for your next celebration.

Rump steak was nice, good quality of meat and cooked perfectly, on the other hand, bruschetta needed some love, lack of seasoning and ingredients. Bread was nice but at the end of the day was too dry with a bit of diced tomato and red onion on top. Probably a bit of olive oil, chimichurri, definitely more cheese may help.

If you are planning on dining in the city, it is worth your while to take the short trip over to Manly. If you are staying at Peppers, then you also get a discount. I reviewed this restaurant 3 months ago and likened the experience to the movie Ratatouille. Each mouthful was an explosion of flavour. The food was exceptional, the service was wonderful, and pricing equal to surrounding restaurants. But did I say how great the food was? My favourite is the Beef Cheek. When you look at the menu, you may think the selection is limited, but each dish is made to perfection, so you do not have to get confused trying to decide what to order. We celebrated my wifes birthday, and she was surprised with a complementary glass of bubbly with a lit sparkler wrapped around the stem. Then, when we ordered desert, they put another sparkler in her sumptuous Chocolate Brownie. What can you say??? They went more than the extra mile. So, to sum it up, if Ratatouille was to have a sequal, it would have to be set in The Little Pearl Bar and Restaurant. Another 10 stars and congratulations to the chef and the staff.

Little Pearl is a beautiful restaurant with lovely ambience and big windows to look out onto Manly Beach. The fusion Asian-style food is quite delicious and well-presented, although I think the Mains are a little smaller in serving size for the price you pay. The service for the food was a little slow at times but not terrible. Giving bowls instead of plates makes for an easier eating experience especially when eating rice. I think the restaurant should consider this. I have sat at both the "bar" side of the restaurant as well as in the "restaurant / table service" side of the restaurant. The latter offers table service and is a little quieter especially when there is live music on the weekends. It is lovely when you get to sit right in front of the window as you can gaze out at the ocean views for hours. This is definitely a favourite spot of ours whenever we are in Manly especially if you have The Pass app!

Went with a girlfriend for happy hour then transitioned into dinner and it was incredible. Happy hour $12 plates were great size and a great price for the quantity and quality. Highly recommend the crispy chicken and the lychee spritz for only $10 each, which was perfect. Lucy was an amazing server and always coming to check in and see how things were as well as taking our drink orders quickly during happy hour to make sure we have as many as possible. Highly recommend for a great feed and a great time with a view of manly beach.

Mexican restaurant
Bar
Chica Bonita Manly is a vibrant and funky Mexican restaurant tucked away in a small arcade. The decor bursts with color, featuring Mexican tiles and Dia de los Muertos dolls. The menu is focused on tacos and tortillas, offering options like the California, Baja, Barbacoa, and Hippie. Additionally, they serve their taco ingredients in bowls with dressed salad. The restaurant boasts an electric atmosphere with music icons and silver star-shaped lights adorning the space.
I went to Manly with two of my friends and since we were famishing, we checked out few restaurants and zeroed on this one and glad we chose this. The food we tried was amazing and the raw vintage look of the restaurant added to the overall experience. The service was equally good. We had Veg KFC Bowl and Veggie Fries and Bloofy Maria in drinks. If you are looking for some really nice food and with decent quantity then do Chica Bonita a try. You won't regret it.

Grabbed a quick lunch here on a Sunday noon. Service was very friendly and quick despite the place being busy. I ordered takeaway but atmosphere seemed very authentic and cool. I ordered the fish tacos, guacamole (with nachos) and the chicken burrito. Everything we ordered was really good! Especially the chicken in the burrito which was cooked and spiced perfectly and the fish tacos which where very juicy. Pricing was also fair, $6 for a quality fish taco is a great deal!

Really great food and wonderful service. We dropped by here starving and left well filled and very satisfied with the taste and experience. The vibe of the restaurant was great, and the waiter who served us was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the chips in the carne asada fries were very hard and tiny, GyG nacho fries are more my preference in that regard. The drinks and burritos were amazing, and the complimentary sauces complimented the food perfectly.

Had such a great night at Chica Bonita in Manly! The service from Margo and April was super friendly and attentive from start to finish. The portions were just right and perfect for sharing – the Wagyu and corn dishes were standouts, absolutely delicious. Finished the evening with a cheeky tequila from their impressive range, the perfect way to wrap things up. Thanks team, we’ll definitely be back!

Stumbled in here on a Thursday night and was pleasantly surprised! Quickly greeted by staff and sat down and provided with great service. Was offered an extensive happy hour menu until close (unheard of in manly) with margeritas and food. The coconut margarita was great and such value for money. Also had the best quac chips for only $10. Then tried a fish taco, one of the best tacos me and my partner have ever had. Atmosphere was great, lively but not overwhelming. Definitely will be back.

Amazing service- Connor was the best. Made sure everything we needed was sorted. Dined for birthday celebrations with family. Kids saying best quesadilla ever! Always great food and margaritas.

Tucked away little gem. The service is fantastic and made for a great dinner out. Archie was attentive and while it may seem trivial, the attention to details matters. Good food, accompanied by a mad selection of yatch rock tunes. Worth a visit.

Our favourite restaurant in Manly and consistently serves delicious food. The birria beef and mushroom tacos; and tostada with beans and nopales (fried cactus) are outstanding but I enjoy everything on the menu. The service is always attentive and on point.

Manly Beach is a popular and bustling beachfront destination in Sydney, known for its golden sands, pine trees, and excellent surfing opportunities. It consists of three beaches - South Steyne, North Steyne, and Queenscliff - stretching almost two kilometers along the coast. Visitors can take the iconic Manly Ferry from Circular Quay to enjoy stunning views of Sydney's landmarks before arriving at the beach.
We can enjoy this beautiful beach. A calm and serene beach. Very clean and clear. The sand is fine to coarse on this beach. You can find a lot of seagulls here. We find many food courts, cafes, nearby to enjoy the beach and have your food. This beach is a closed one, tides are high, so don't get deep into sea here. The sea pulls us faster into it. So be alert when you are planning to enjoy this beach. Beaches are always a serene space and provide calmness. Should always enjoy it whenever we need grounding for ourselves. And we are confused. These open beaches can transform our thoughts and rejuvenate us, when we keep observing the sea and the surroundings. So enjoy your solitude here or with family. Take a ferry from Circular Quay to Manly in the morning, enjoy the food, surroundings and the beach, return back to Circular Quay during sunset, you will love the transition. Manly wharf is also really beautiful, there are few food spots in it. I recommend you to have this experience once in your life!

Manly Beach is absolutely stunning! The sand is clean, the water is crystal clear, and the whole area has such a relaxing holiday vibe. It’s perfect for swimming, surfing, or just enjoying a walk along the promenade. There are plenty of cafés, restaurants, and shops nearby, so you can easily spend the whole day here. The ferry ride from Circular Quay to Manly is also a beautiful experience on its own. Truly one of Sydney’s must-visit beaches — highly recommended! 🌊☀️

My first trip to an Australian beach was to Manly, and it was amazing! The ferry ride from the city was beautiful, seeing the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge from the water is something I will never forget. When I arrived, I was so impressed. The sand is so soft and white, and the beach is so long and wide. It's different from the beaches in Phuket or Koh Samui; the vibe here is very active, with so many people surfing! The water was a beautiful clear blue, a little chilly for me, but so refreshing. I loved walking along The Corso, grabbing some fish and chips, and just watching everyone enjoy the sun. It felt so relaxing and happy. Manly Beach has a wonderful, laid-back feeling that is the perfect introduction to the famous Australian beach culture. It’s a day trip I would recommend to any of my friends back home in Thailand!

Beautiful sunny beach, with sand, old big pine tree, rock and small cave. Few mile from Sydney, by ferry with good view during transport. Good choice if you wanna stay away from busy Sydney

One of Sydney’s iconic beaches it was great to visit it during our recent stay. Gee it was busy around both the beach and town area. But that didn’t stop me from venturing in for a little swim and a play in the waves. The waves are huge and I was knocked over twice but that’s part of the fun right. Whilst we sat on the beach we witnessed a surf rescue. Those guys are superb at what they do.

Offer a perfect mix of laid-back vibes and stunning coastal views, ideal for both surfers and families. The scenic ferry ride from Circular Quay adds to the charm of the experience. Plenty of cafés, shops, and walking paths make it great for a day out.

Nice place for visit One of the best destination of Sydney visitor famous Sydney, Australia, This beach known for surfing, swimming, and its scenic ferry access from the harbour. It is divided into three sections: Queenscliff, North Steyne, and South Steyne, and is recognized as the site of the world's first surfing contest in 1964. The beach features a vibrant promenade with shops and restaurants, and nearby attractions include Shelly Beach and Manly Cove.
Ramesh K — Google review
Manly Beach is one of Sydney’s most iconic seaside escapes, just a 30-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay. The journey itself is already a treat, offering postcard-perfect views of Sydney Harbour, the Opera House, and Harbour Bridge. Once you arrive, Manly greets you with a long stretch of golden sand, rolling waves perfect for surfing, and a lively esplanade lined with cafés, pubs, and shops. Compared to Bondi, Manly feels more laid-back and family-friendly, making it a great spot for a relaxed swim, beach walk, or simply soaking up the coastal atmosphere. If you visit on a weekend, you’ll also find a vibrant market with stalls showcasing local products, handmade crafts, and unique souvenirs — a wonderful way to discover more about Australia in general, and Sydney in particular.

Hiking Trails
The Manly to Spit Bridge Coastal Walk is a beloved 10 km trail that offers stunning views of Sydney's harbor and coastline. Whether starting at the boat-lined Spit Bridge or iconic Manly Beach, hikers will pass through sandy bays, ancient Aboriginal sites, tidal pools, and native bushland. The trail also connects several secret beaches like Fisher Bay and Sandy Beach before reaching the lively atmosphere of Manly with its restaurants and cafes.
If you’re not inclined to do the whole 10-kilometre walk from the Spit Bridge to Manly, a good option is to take advantage of the free parking on the lower streets of Fairlight, where you can walk down and join the path for a nice 2 to 2.5km walk into Manly. This way you can enjoy a lovely stroll and a day out in Manly, but avoid the cost of parking in Manly itself. The gently winding path hugs the shoreline and has a few ups and downs along the way, but is fully paved and easily walkable for all fitness levels. Needless to say, the views are unbeatable. One of the best walks we’ve done in Sydney. And plenty of dogs along the path for added smiles! 😁

One of the best coastal walk trails in Australia. Start your journey from Manly wharf, allow yourself at least 3 hours to finish this amazing coastal hike. Bring lots of water, since there's no amenities around the area
Mücahit K — Google review
It’s an amazing and rewarding 10km walk that showcases the natural beauty of Sydney Harbour. The walk starts at the Spit bridge and gets over at Manly Bay. It approximately takes around 3.5 -4 hours to complete the walk at average speed with limited halts. What amazed me was, the walk opens up to secluded beaches like Castle Rock Beach and Reef Beach which is very scenic and perfect for quick dip. Really enjoyed and loved the scenic area around. A much recommended walk for everyone visiting Sydney.🙂
Noel F — Google review
pretty hilly but it’s worth the scenic views and you get to visit some of the most underrated beaches with the most beautiful waters ever

Fantastic walk if you want to see great scenery of one of Sydney's best coastal walks. It's a very known path, easy to see the signs and go through some bushes, aboriginal carvings, dog parks and many secluded nude beaches! Be sure to pack some snacks and enough water. This 10km track will take you approximately 2.5-3hrs if you're not going in a big group. Definitely recommend 💯💯

Note: Refer to picture below and turn left. As the right path is closed. Public hiking, no ticket required. We hiked for 10 km from Spit Bridge to Manly. Would say it's medium difficulty whenever the was rain, as the roads would be wet. Nice pathway provided along the walk. From greenery to beach view.

Recommended by a local while we rode the ferry in to Manly. Manly to Spit bridge walk has some beautiful views and an opportunities to discover some of the off grid beaches and coves. I particularly liked walking to the point where you have beautiful views of Sydney also the opening of the bay it’s about 10 km starting from the Wharf in Manly, but I just did up and back for about 10 km. My understanding is you can walk the whole way and catch a bus in to Sydney. But I wanted to take the ferry back.
Victor R — Google review
There’s not many walks in Australia that can match the great walks of New Zealand, but when the sun is out, the Manly Spit Bridge Walk delivers. Best of all, it’s an easy one to get to via public transport, elevation is minimal, and the track is (mostly) in good shape. There are toilets located at a number of places, numerous spots you can bail out early and order a cab, and a few decent places to stop for a bite or a drink. We did this with a ferry to Manly, and started the walk from the Wharf, completing it in about 4 hours, with a stop for lunch at the fabulous Bosk café at Clontarf and then an Uber back from Spit Junction (though there’s plenty of buses there). The first section of the walk follows the wide esplanade round to Fairlight, diverting onto a few street before ducking back down to the harbour, and off the streets at North Harbour. From there it’s all off road, with some lovely patches of bushland, some sections which come right down to the harbour, and others which lift you up on to Dobroyd Head for views out of the Heads. There’s some steep steps around Castle Rocks, but most people of even basic fitness should be able to manage this walk. There’s a little known coffee stand on the wharf at the Manly Boatshed, another café at North Harbour, and then it’s Clontarf and Spit Junction if you want lunch or a drink. A world class walk, right on your doorstep Sydney, and it’s totally free.

With its breezy ambiance reminiscent of a beach shack, The Pantry offers an inviting atmosphere to enjoy breakfast staples or indulge in wholesome coastal dishes for lunch and dinner.
Been here a coupla times and thoroughly enjoyed both! Watching the Manly waves crash into the beach as we wine & dine...life is good! We never had such succulent oysters at a restaurant but their July batch was just unbeatable! Highly recommend their sardines, scallops, chat potatoes, SIRLOIN, grilled octopus and the puff pastry for dessert. No issues with using the First Table app. Best restaurant in Manly for us....

We had a birthday party here. The staff were friendly and the food was tasty. We ordered a set menu due to the amount of guests but we felt the entrees didn’t quite feel like enough food for the $85 pp we paid. The food itself was delicious though. I’d come back for a regular dinner, maybe not as part of a large group. Staff were friendly!

Highly recommend this place for great food and vibes. It’s on manly beach with full ocean view - book your window table if you are heading over from Fri-Sun. Must try the sardine appetizer, fish and risotto. Service was impeccable too despite the place being full house on a Friday afternoon.

Service here is wonderful. I can see from interacting with staff front of house and back (kitchen) they enjoy working here. Food however is just ok. Nothing too exciting. People come here for the view by the window. I hope they reinvent the menu to have more flavor and balance in the future. Tight spaces so not ideal for big people. Try it out anyway. It is an experience!

Right on Manly Beach above the public facilities. Had breakfast there for the first time and it's well presented and delicious. The place did feel more upmarket than the other venues in the area which were more welcoming for customers with sandy feet and beachwear. We sat next to the windows overlooking the beach but they were closed. The view was great, however, it did feel a little stuffy.

We had last been to Bavarian 10 years back, on our last trip to Australia. We loved it so much that we decided that we must come back, when we visit Australia again. The ambiance is point on and our server Marciella was very kind and friendly. The food this time was not appetizing. We ordered the kids burger, which was really good. The mac and cheese balls was really dry. We ordered the platter for us, but were very disappointed. The pork knucle was very dry and over cooked, the chicken schnitzel was good. The menu is misleading, with the pp beside the app to share. We were unaware that the price for the shared appetizer is calculated per person. For 180 dollars, the food was definitely not worth it. On discussing with a few other people, who love this place, I have come to realize that, they were mislead by the pp on the price menu. Customers should have full disclosure, when they order something off the menu. The fact that, we are expected to read the fine print of the menu is a little disappointing and leaves a bad taste. A little heads up from the waiter, when ordering this item would definitely be beneficial:)

Arrived at 1pm. Restaurant was fairly quiet. Ordered my food (10 wings and a coke). Wings arrived at 2pm. The restaurant started to get busier as i sat for longer. Other tables received their food before me. I had to mention to the waitress we hadnt been served. She was very polite and kind, but unfortunately the bar manager seemed doubtful other tables had been served before us, he wasnt much help. food arrived 10 minutes after i talked to her. It sucks to have the kitchen mess up your order so poorly. Wouldve been nice to have some sort of apology, there was none. If it takes an hour for 10 wings on a quiet day, save your time, not worth it at all.

The Boathouse Shelly Beach is a charming cafe located by the serene Shelly Beach near Manly. The cafe offers a delightful menu featuring breakfast classics like avocado toast, fruit salad, and yogurt with muesli. For those with more adventurous tastes, there are Asian-inspired dishes such as sesame rice bowl and raw spicy salmon. The cafe's picturesque location by the beach makes it an ideal spot to enjoy a modern Australian breakfast or lunch in a rustic-chic setting.
This place was really good. It's near the Shelly Beach facing the beach and the view is amazing. We had some drinks , coffee and chips. They have a variety of food options for breakfast and lunch to find from. There's different drink options available, the vibe the place and service is really amazing. Although I felt it was a little undermaintained as they have turkeys going around everywhere and they make a lot of mess, but they did well they also have a turkey spray if they try to annoy you while enjoying your time. Must visit place.

A good place to stop after the walk down from Manly on the ocean path. Catch the happy hour drink specials from 2pm to 4pm. Food finishes at 3pm, so the happy spot is between 2pm to 3pm for a bite to eat (standard pub fare) with a cheaper drink. Great views and brush turkeys galore...
Simon P — Google review
The Boathouse at Shelly Beach is one of those places where a simple meal feels like a small holiday. You wander off the path from Manly, sand still on your feet, and step into a bright space filled with flowers in jars, striped umbrellas and sea breeze drifting through the open windows. Ordering happens at the counter, the line moves quickly, and staff stay cheerful as they point out specials and suggest a good table if you are juggling towels and a pram. Grab a spot facing the water and you are set for a very easy hour. Mornings shine here. Coffee lands smooth and hot, and the bacon and egg roll comes on a soft milk bun with a tangy relish that actually tastes like tomatoes. Avocado toast is generous with lemon and chilli, and the ricotta hotcakes have that cloudlike centre people make detours for. Later in the day it turns seafood forward in the best way. Fish and chips arrive crisp and not greasy, the prawn roll tastes fresh with a touch of dill and lemon, and the salt and pepper calamari stays tender with a proper squeeze of citrus. Bowls and salads are built with bright herbs and crunchy greens, so you never feel weighed down before a swim back at Shelly. A few little things make visits smoother. It can get busy on sunny weekends, so earlier arrivals win the best tables and easier street parking. The place is largely cashless, water jugs and glasses are self serve, and families fit right in with plenty of high chairs and space to park a stroller. Bring swimmers because the marine reserve out front is perfect for a quick snorkel, then circle back for an iced drink and something sweet from the cake display. Good food, relaxed service and that view add up to an easy favourite.

If you're in the mood for a vibrant dining experience with stunning views, El Camino Cantina Manly is the place to be. Nestled atop Manly Wharf, this lively spot serves up mouthwatering Tex-Mex cuisine that will tantalize your taste buds. Picture yourself enjoying hand-made tortillas and generously stuffed burritos while indulging in bottomless tortilla chips and fresh salsa as you watch the sun dip below the horizon.
We went for an early dinner and thought this was a great spot. Harbour views and great food! We had the burrito bowl + taco set and both were great. The only thing I wild advise is be mindful of the chilli rating. I couldn’t eat the cauli taco as it burnt my mouth with chilli.
Jenna A — Google review
El Camino Cantina, located at Manly, offers a vibrant and modern atmosphere that instantly transports you to a fiesta. The restaurant's stylish decor, complete with neon lights and colorful murals, creates a fun and energetic ambiance. One of the highlights is the complimentary all-you-can-eat corn chips and salsa served in a vintage Chevy trunk, a unique touch that adds to the experience. The views of the harbor are also stunning, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends. However, while the atmosphere and presentation are top-notch, the food itself falls somewhat short of expectations. While the flavors are decent, the dishes lack a certain depth and complexity that you might find in more authentic Mexican cuisine. The service can also be inconsistent, with long wait times due to understaffing. On busy nights, it can be difficult to flag down a server to place an order or request additional items. The drink menu, on the other hand, is impressive. The margaritas are particularly noteworthy, with a wide variety of flavors and presentation styles.
Ali G — Google review
Good location by then manly wharf; good service; spacious place with nice view overlooking the sea; margarita tower is superb; free chips with salsa is a plus; fajita tasted good just but chicken meat just a bit on the dry side; nacho is large portions and plenty on meat.. I would love for more serving pico de gallo on both the nacho and fajita. The wings were let down for me while skin is crispy, the spiciest sauce has no punch at all; Overall it is nice restaurant.

Dropped into El Camino in Manly for a feed at lunch – fun vibe, definitely would be a good spot of a night. The chicken burrito bowl was actually really good – fresh, tasty, and a decent portion. No complaints there. The 3 tacos were a bit average. They weren't very warm, and the flavours just weren’t as deep or punchy as you’d expect. Only ended up eating two of them, which says a lot. Best part was the free chips and salsa. Super crunchy and full of flavour – honestly could’ve just had those with a drink and been happy. Worth a visit for the atmosphere and a bowl, but wouldn’t go back for the tacos.

Honestly, not the best Mexican food I ever had, but it's ok. The atmosphere is nice. Service is simple ordering and paying via QR code, like many other Australian places. Little to no vegetarian options for a proper meal.

Great view but very disappointed in the food. Over priced and low quality. Drinks were expensive but large. I enjoyed the tower of Sangria. Free corn chips and salsa was also good. Tacos were OK but not filling and people left hungry. Probably good for tourists to have a drink and a snack. The Mexican sombreros to wear were fun too.

What really stood out for us on our visit was the atmosphere. Great music, lovely views from the wharf and the entire set up of the cantina made it feel like it’s set up for a good time. Food-wise, lots of menu options and you can what you pay for in terms of food quality. 10 cent Wings Wednesday definitely made buying drinks and incentive!

El camino is a fun place to have a bite and a drink. The food is ok. Wouldn't say the most delicious for a Mexican restaurant. But fair. The atmosphere is amazing. Situated along the famous walk from Manly Beach to Shelly Beach, this restaurant is favored by locals and visitors alike for its delectable breakfasts, as well as its lunch and dinner offerings.
A wonderful cafe on Marine Parade, halfway between Manly and Shelly Beach. The recently revamped menu is great, and the food is tasty. Most importantly to me, the coffee is always good. Whilst The Bower has a magic panoramic view over Cabbage Tree Bay marine reserve, it’s the people that make the difference. The managers, Jenny and Mick, and the team take great care to make their customers welcome, and in my view, the top rating cafe in Manly. A few tips for the visitors; 1. Bring a mask and goggles as the snorkelling (and diving) in the marine reserve is wonderful. 2. Bring your towel and togs 3. Take the walk up to Shelly Beach Headland 4. Keep an eye out for the Water Dragons in spring and summer 5. Keep an eye out for the whales and dolphins from June to November 6. Take an outside table, grab a wine and watch the people walk past 7. Visit the great little gift shop next door

This place really improved. It was good and now even better. The atmosphere especially when Live music is fantastic. 10 of 10. Drinks are good and very much surprised the food was good. Some staff are great and some need training to be friendlier. Highly recommend. Love this spot.

Came here to explore Manly beach/ Cabbage Tree Bay etc. Chances upon this nice cafe that is right next to the coast, thus had breakfast here… and enjoying the nice seaview.

Good food and pretty good coffee in an absolutely beautiful location but disengaged, grumpy staff that could not have cared if I was there or not. It does seem like regulars were treated well but as a visitor I felt invisible.

I recently visited The Bower Manly and had a wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely waitresses and the always-smiling owner. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the view of the ocean is absolutely stunning ,it’s the perfect spot to unwind while enjoying a meal. Even later in the day when it got a bit windy, it was still quite pleasant. As for the food, I went for the breaky burger deluxe, and it was simply delicious. Very filling and well-prepared, it had everything you’d expect from a top-notch brunch burger. The fries that came with it were perfectly crispy, and the portion was very generous, which is often rare in places with such a fantastic view. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food and the location. With such friendly service and a beautiful setting, I highly recommend this place. Whether you’re looking for breakfast, brunch, or just a coffee with an ocean view, The Bower Manly is absolutely worth a visit!

What a slice of heaven. Food to rival the best in Italy . Service is welcoming and wonderful. The vibe is off the hook between music, atmosphere and comfort. Love Cousin Vinny ! He makes this place ! Can’t wait to come back

Stopped in for a little cocktail before heading out for dinner. So we didn’t actually eat here, but I have heard the food is great. While the place was quiet when we arrive, it has a really cool vibe. Right in the heart of Manly, this is so worth popping into if you have a smaller group. Although I’m sure you book the joint out of you wanted a larger crowd. Had a margarita that was very nice.

Great atmosphere and amazing food! We had a booking, but the restaurant was busier than expected and our table was still taken when we arrived, so we had to wait around 20 minutes. The staff was really friendly and the owner kindly offered us free drinks while we waited — such a nice gesture. We left happy and would definitely go back!

We love it here, we usually do breaky whenever we are in town from Brisbane, however, this visit we changed it up with dinner. So glad we did, it was amazing, food and wine was enpointe, the young guy who served us was excellent, a real credit to the owner. Thanks for a a great night, highly recommend ☺️

Best breakfast spot around - wanted to come every day on the ferry from Sydney! The jaffels are so delish - and also tried the crumble dish, very very tasty - such nice people serving and what a lovely spot to sit outside and enjoy coffees and breakkie.

We had an amazing dinner at Belgrave Cartel and it was one of those nights where everything just worked seemingly effortlessly. The food was unreal, the wine was spot on, and the service was friendly without being over the top. You could tell the staff actually cared, not because they had to, but because they wanted to. We met Joe, the owner, and his cousin, both absolute legends. They’ve created something that feels homely and relaxed, but still insanely special. It’s not too flashy or trying too hard, it’s simply just effortlessly good. You feel welcome the second you walk in, and looked after the whole way through. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Easily one of our favourite spots in Manly now. If you haven't been, go. If you have been, go again.

What a gem of a wholefood café! Even though the place was super busy when we arrived, the service was absolutely top-notch. The girl at the front desk was so lovely and attentive—she went out of her way to try and accommodate us in the kids’ area, which we really appreciated. It made such a difference, especially with little ones in tow. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the coffee… wow! Absolutely amazing. Rich, smooth, and made to perfection. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Been coming to Ruby Lane for a few years and always had really great food. HOWEVER… last few experiences have been a real let down. The food is just bland. Had the chicken salad, then the miso glazed pumpkin salad. So bland and disappointing. No love from chef. The pumpkin had no glaze, the salad was bland w no protein at $24 was really poor value. Sorry won’t be coming back! Chef needs to put some heart into the food.

Pocket Pizza Manly is a cozy Italian restaurant in Sydney that brings the vibes of New York's Little Italy to its brick-lined space. The menu features 12 hand-tossed pizza pies with creative toppings and punny titles like Netflix & Chilli, Gordon Hamsey, and Funghitown. The vintage styling of the restaurant adds to its charm, with red-and-white check tablecloths, lacy curtains, and framed black-and-white photos creating a nostalgic atmosphere.
If you're looking for a trendy, vibrant spot to indulge in delicious pizza and pasta, this restaurant is a must-visit. With its modern industrial decor, neon signage, and lively atmosphere, it’s the perfect place for casual dining, date nights, or catching up with friends.

Ok. So loathe to share. Excellent. 5 star on nearly all levels. Tbh the tastes on the amazing foccacia, lobster roll, salad - i’d skip the pizza and double down on all the other features on the menu. Lemoncello cocktail fantastic, Negroni is great - ask for just 1 ice cube 😉. One feedback on the pizza, not just us, is it’s a bit tasteless, not salted, hence the need to offer additional sauces. Work on the pizza and place would be amazing. Either way - you need a reservation!

We had no idea how popular this place is for dinner! They were booked up but the staff was kind enough to squeeze us in one of their outdoor tables. I wish we had the opportunity to sit inside because the ambiance looks amazing, but next time we will make a proper reservation. We had the lobster rolls, vodka pasta and prosciutto pizza. Everything had us scraping the plate.

What a place ! Visited last week whilst holidaying in Manly , very busy but the very helpful staff squeezed me in the small table in the corridor at the side of the kitchen , from that position i got up close views of the kitchen, food prep and staff interactions. All exceptional , all tables full and constant take away pick ups meant everyone was maxed out but staff clearly knew their roles and service remained attentive, pizza was fantastic ( Cheesus Christ) and their own brand beer refreshing. Atmosphere was great , could not fault any aspect. Absolute must go if you are in Manly/ Sydney area.

If you're looking to kickstart your day in Manly, Pure Wholefoods is the perfect spot to nourish both body and soul before hitting the waves. This charming café caters to a variety of dietary preferences, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, raw, and paleo options. Indulge in delightful dishes like their famous coconut pancakes or the hearty vegan big breaky featuring scrambled tofu.
Best cafe in Northern beaches! I’ve been going to Pure Wholefoods for at least two years and haven’t been disappointed once. Whatever you feel like - from bacon & egg roll to yummy, hearty Nasi Goreng - you can be sure it’s gonna be healthy and tasty at the same time, which is quite a rare thing! Pure Wholefoods is true to its name - the food is always clean, never greasy and consistently yummy. What’s also very important is that they make beautiful coffee. Not too milky, not bitter, just perfect. Add to all of the above lovely friendly people, working there, and you’ll get an amazing cafe to have your breakfast or lunch in. I can’t recommend this cool place enough! Ps they’ve got the best desert as well - a chocolate cake; Love Cake. ❤️

As a long time vegan I had wanted to try this place for a while, however the first time I went to order a smoothie to go, we waited for more than 10 minutes with one person ahead of use in the queue at the register. The girl behind the register made no gesture that she would be a minute, I felt completely ignored and we ended up walking out. Bye bye money. We decided to try again, and had breakfast after a very long walk. I ordered the tofu scramble with sourdough and a long black. Pretty sure I was overcharged for the toast even though the menu clearly stated it came with toast. My partner had a bacon and egg roll with a coffee. He felt that for the price the roll could have had a bit more to it. However the meals and coffee were good. I am very big on customer service and if I am going to spend my money I would prefer to do so somewhere that you feel welcomed. There was a girl standing behind the coffee machine basically smirking at customers and gave off the worst energy, it was extremely off putting. The guy making the coffee however was lovely. I think it sucks because this is a place I would like to have tried more food, but given the two times where I felt not even seen and then that particular staff member acting that way, I won’t be back. There are many other places with great food and great service.

I had a pure raw salad with the quinoa chicken schnitzel and my husband had a chicken schnitzel meal. Both meals were fresh with interesting and delicious salads! As a cafe, its really a great health conscious option and the portions are really generous. Even though our order was bungled up, the manager made a good save in expediting the additional kiddies meal we ordered! This is our second time eating at this place and the standard of food is same as before, exceptional!

I had a falafel burger for lunch. Very fast service. The falafel and roasted veggies (everything inside actually) was great, well cooked and tasty. But, unfortunately the bread was too toasted, hard and it seemed old. A shame, as it’s something important when eating a burger. I was in a rush, so I didn’t ask maybe to change the bread, because the staff were really friendly so I can imagine they would accept my request. I would definitely come back to give the place another chance because the menu looks interesting and I love the proposal of healthy food. I am only trying to be constructive and hope it helps :) cheers

Fantastic place for paleo! Only downside is the prices, which are just over the top. But anyway, the food and paleo cakes are delicious and I’ll probably return every time I’m in Manly. We got our food fast and staff were friendly. They also have a fridge with small Zebra ice creams (paleo).

The Wharf Cafe & Bar in Manly offers a charming and peaceful ambiance, making it an ideal spot for a short stay or two. Visitors have the opportunity to explore local history with ghost tours and visit the nearby museum. The cafe itself is known for its delicious food options and extensive drink menu, including coffee, beer, soft drinks, and ryc. It provides ample seating options that cater to different weather conditions.
We enjoyed our visit to this cafe. Nice selection of different sandwiches, few pies, salads, desserts, muffins, etc… fresh juices, milkshakes, soft drinks, even some beers and vine are available. Coffee was ok, toasted salami and mortadella sandwich was good as well as lamington. Outside and inside there is a plenty of sitting available. It’s lovely pleasant cafe that really adds a value to the beach as you can spend whole day here without worrying about getting hungry and thirsty 😉

Objectively, the worst coffee in Sydney. Just vile and bitter, needed to quarantine my tongue for days to get some sense of taste back. Throat still convulsing. Please don't inflict such brutalities on your customers 😭🥴

I rarely write bad reviews as I know they can affect reputations and livelihoods but this place when I went there yesterday morning was just too spectacularly terrible not to comment. I arrived with some friends and family at 8.30 am in the morning, they took our orders saying there was a power problem but it would be fixed in a few minutes. No follow up and we returned several times to enquire how things were going, no feedback other than to say our meals were coming. Occasionally a very confused looking waitress would bring out a single and usually incorrect meal. The majority of us were still waiting at 10 am, we went to ask for our money back. We were told it would be "two minutes". We stood by the kitchen and watched the remaining meals being cooked by the "chef", one at a time. They were totally non-descript and tasteless. Not seen anything this bad in years, it was embarrassing.

We were staying at the Q Hotel and strolled into the wharf to get some lunch and a coffee. The three staff standing at the counter, not busy, yacking away and barely looking at us were deep in their own conversation. Finally someone humbled us with attention. There were three stale looking sandwiches in the window (the sign said freshly made). The lady said we only have these and she didn’t know what they were when prompted. She had to ask another colleague who stumbled but finally had a light bulb moment and remembered the fillings. They just looked too stale and old so we ordered coffee. We may as well have bought 7-11 $1 coffee. The best part was attempting to drink it but sitting across a spectacular view. Maybe because it was Australia Day and they were tired at the end of the day. Not sure but my experience was horrible. We stayed at the hotel but never went back there.
Mena D — Google review
The baked goods were stale and wrapped in plastic from the night before. Also, this is the only place I have ever encountered in all of Australia that doesn’t include GST in their price. When I commented that my purchase at the register was 11% higher than the display price, the cafe employee said, “there’s tax.” But there wasn’t any sign warning about that. As a remedy, he offered to cancel the sale, but he wasn’t willing to sell it for the listed price. I checked and Australian consumer law requires that advertised prices include GST. It is disappointing that a place that heavily caters to tourists is apparently violating this law.

North Head, located about 3km south of central Manly, is a picturesque coastal national park with stunning cliffs that offer panoramic views of Sydney Harbour. The area features secluded beaches, scenic walking paths through native scrubland, and former military sites such as barracks and WWII gun emplacements. Visitors can explore the headland on foot or by bike, taking in the natural beauty and historical landmarks along the way.
Lovely walk! It's the kind of stroll where you can just zone out and enjoy the good vibes. The views are incredible with the coastline and Sydney skyline doing its thing in the distance. The path is super clean, really well looked after. It's also easy getting there by a bus from manly!

It was best place in Sydney. Before I travel, I feel depressed and frustrated because of my personal problems. But I visited North Head and just staring at the water flow and boat, that makes me comfortable. I wanna go back there!!!! Ps. If you plan to go North Head with bus, you have to check when bus comes. I didn't prepare for that, so I just waited half an hour under the hot sunlight😂 Because I don't have any plan to do in 30 minutes haha.

This elevated place offers scenic views of city, Sydney Harbour from great lookouts and Fairfax walk. It's also great spot for whale watching. Best to drive up here though is takes a while to get here because of the narrow windy roads and traffic enroute. Vehicle entry fees apply. Lots of parking around. Choose a nice sunny day if you want great harbour and landscape views. It's open early till late everyday. Toilets available. Uneven terrain, lot of walking. Popular place, need to go early to avoid the heat as well. You can spend several hours here depending on your interests. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Lovely place for picnic. Great place for photography.

North Head is a must go place in Manly. Just take bus 161 at the Manly Wharf. It will take you to the North Head in about 20 minutes. You can enjoy great view and peaceful walk there. Everything is maintained well. All nice and clean. You can drop off at North Head Sanctuary stop as well to check out some nice coffee shops there as well.
Yang Z — Google review
Great views from a couple of broad viewing platforms that offer very picturesque and sweeping views back into Sydney Harbour. Watch as ferries, paddleboarders, sailing boats and all manner of seacraft meander by further back in the harbour. The native shrubs and plants provide a border to the sealed walking circuit at the top edge of the headland. For those hardier soles there are a number of partially sealed and unsealed tracks as well, one of which will take you back to Manly beach, which is well worth it. But take some water with you if you venture down the unsealed tracks towards Manly Beach, and be prepared for rough and narrow sections. If you don't have your own transport, there is a local bus that runs from just outside the Manly Ferry Wharf that goes approximately every half hour most days, that will drop you right at the car park on the North Head Headland.

The Manly Art Museum is a charming gallery with a peaceful atmosphere and a thoughtfully curated selection of exhibitions. The staff are generally friendly, and the space is a nice cultural stop in Manly. Since my parents just bought a house nearby, I’ve been exploring the area to get to know the surroundings, and the museum seemed like a great place to start. That said, my experience was slightly mixed. As a 25-year-old Chinese visitor carrying a backpack, I was asked to leave my bag at reception due to concerns it might inadvertently damage the galleries. While I understand the reasoning and the importance of protecting artworks, the way it was handled felt a little uncomfortable and carried a subtle undertone of bias as most other visitors are white elderly people, i guess the receptionist may find Asian less "reliable" 😆 I chose not to make an issue of it—especially since the receptionist was elderly and likely just following protocol—but it did leave me wishing for a bit more sensitivity. Still, the exhibitions themselves are enjoyable, and I’ll likely introduce this great place to other friends.

It is a wonderful place for anyone who love art and history. The permanent exhibits quite good place to spend sometime if you are bored around manly beach. Clean, well maintained, air conditioned and spacious. It has ceramics from different parts of the world, including European, Asian and aboriginal works. Next to that, it’s very well organized. The entry is free, however you need to pay if you wish to visit an additional exposition. The outdoor ocean view is fantastic.

So many different food outlets to choose from, I brought a kebab meal deal 😋 and did some shopping 🛍 at Coles

I went here to visit the displays for the Play Manly festival. Displays included secret garden, gospel lights, glow tunnel, love in the lane and rythmic palms

Bakery
Rollers Bakehouse is a hidden gem in Manly, exuding Palm Spring vibes with its pastel pink canteen and Instagrammable courtyard adorned with cacti. The bakery offers a unique twist on classic baked goods, thanks to the creativity of self-taught baker James Sideris. From twice-baked croissants to experimental flavor combinations like hummus and eggplant or gianduja, Rollers Bakehouse takes a bold approach that has won over pastry purists.
Rollers Bakehouse is a must-visit for pastry lovers! My recent experience was simply divine. The hazelnut praline briosche was an absolute standout – I'm still dreaming about it! The combination of flavors and textures was pure perfection. To complement the heavenly pastry, the iced oat matcha on tap was equally impressive. It was the perfect refreshing pick-me-up. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and managed to snag a table just in time. The timing was perfect, as it was empty right before we arrived, but soon after, the line was out the door! This place is clearly popular, and for good reason. The ambience is lovely, though seating is a bit limited. It's a great spot to catch up with friends, and I even enjoyed seeing some cute dogs around! If you're looking for exceptional pastries and drinks in a charming setting, Rollers Bakehouse is a must-try. Just be sure to time your visit right to avoid the crowds!

OK GUYS I see why this place is popular. We got the Pumpkin & Cheese Quiche, Lamb Sausage Roll, Almond Croissant and Monkey Bread. Pumpkin & Cheese Quiche and the Lamb Sausage Roll were ABSOLUTELY amazing!! Especially the Quiche, their crust is buttery and crumbly like a savoury shortbread biscuit and the mix of cheeses and the soft pumpkin was god send – and the shaved Parmesan on top!!! Almond Croissant was a bit on the sweeter side, tasted like honey inside instead of almond butter (which I’m used to) but still delicious nonetheless. Money Bread was a bit disappointing for the same price as the others, with no filling and tasted a bit stale. I was also disappointed they didn’t have their coffees / matcha on tap, wondering if they had sold out already on the day. Total came to $55.55 for 4 pastries (a bit on the steeper side) but that includes the public holiday surcharge.

If only you did sourdough as well! This is by far and away some of the best baked goods I’ve ever had. Need more photos next time! Ha

First time went to Rollers with my sister's had 3 small coffees 1 chocolate croissant 2 almond croissants was changed $ 60 to my shocking surprise on my card thought it was an error. I checked later their prices on the website $12 almond croissant absolutely ridiculous. Yes the almond croissant was nice but charging 12 never again. Coffee was small taste was alright. If the location was on the beach view id maybe understand the cafe is at the back around like an alley. Not impressed especially with the prices

Loved the pastries and that matcha coconut drink was so good! Coffee wasn’t great though, so it’s a 4⭐️ from me. Still such a nice little spot in Manly.
Ploy F — Google review
The lamb sausage roll was next-level flaky, pastry so light it almost melted before you bit into that perfectly spiced lamb filling. The Greens Pain Suisse surprised me: buttery layers hugging a spinach-feta mix, all topped with a pickled onion that cut through the richness. And the scone with jam & butter hit that sweet-savory spot—crumbly, buttery, not dry, and the jam tasted home-made. Pastry case looked like art and tasted like it too :)

have been to rollers multiple times as their croissants and pastries were generally great though it's on the pricy side relatively. however, the iced oat matcha was terrible this morning. the self-service place was running out of matcha so i brought my glass to the barista and he said he would make me a fresh one. but it was so watery, no matcha taste at all and you probably could tell from the colour. it's my second time having the matcha- last time was fine coz it was batch-made and i got that from the self-service dispenser. so the one today was absolutely disappointing.

The roller flan was incredible! The custard was just set perfectly and very smooth and creamy.

Felons Brewing Co. Manly is a popular waterfront bar located in Manly Harbour, offering stunning views of the harbor and a relaxed atmosphere. The bar underwent a major renovation and is now a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. With live DJs, outdoor jetty seating, and a diverse menu featuring pub grub, seafood, imaginative pizza toppings, kingfish salads, and vegetarian options, it caters to various tastes.
It's a great place to have a drink or get a bite. The pizza is fantastic. Fish and chips as well as other choices are good. Cocktails and beers are 👍. Of course the atmosphere is fantastic next to the water. Service especially outside tables could be a little better. Overall, love the place.

Came for lunch on a Sunday. Place was about 70% full. Ordered via QR code, drinks came out really quickly. We ordered a dozen oysters kilpatrick, give these a miss, it tasted like bacon but looked like mince and smothered in bbq sauce, really disappointing. The rest of the food was better, great size servings of calamari, fish & chips, chicken salad and pizza. We shared our food so not bothered that they came out staggered. Staff are lovely, great view from most tables.

If you bring a cake for a birthday they charge $3 per plate to serve. They don't know how to cut cake so at least learn that before charging a fee. The sweet potato fries and pizzas were good, salads not so much. Staff were nice / embarrassed to say it costs $3 per plate. Nice views.

First time at Felons Brewing. Very happy we decided to stop. Fantastic spot on the water. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. We had pizza and sweet potato fries. These were really good. Drinks was the Margarita and the local beer. Very good with a good variety.

Amazing food and service! The two fish dishes we ordered were incredibly fresh. The lady who seated us was so lovely and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in Manly

Great location and fantastic ambience. It was a cold and rainy night when we attended, but I could imagine this place being extremely popular on a nice summers day. We were fortunate to experience some live music. The paddle of various brews was delicious and I personally loved the Galaxy Haze. The food was the only thing that let us down. We thoroughly enjoyed the Half Shell Scallops and the Fresh Maloolaba Prawns but we were let down with the Gambero Pizza - given the delicious prawns we had with our starter, we could tell the pizza had scrappy tiny little frozen prawns on it. We tend to enjoy that pizza at many other venues and this one was at the bottom of the list for our faves. This doesn't take away from how great the venue was and how fantastic the staff were with their service but would advise against ordering this particular pizza.

Came back for the pizza! 🍕 Had visited the week earlier with colleagues. Tried one slice of margarita and knew I had to bring the family back. Not disappointed. Such delicious pizza dough. The broadleaf rocket side was the bomb! So tasty. Yummy nut crunch & shaved Parmesan. A tad too salty but great. Could do with some pear slices like all good rocket salads.
Nicole M — Google review
Sunday lunch, porchetta was fantastic. As was the steak frites. Service is a little patchy, but will let them off as it’s a large venue with a big menu - and staff are friendly. Live music was excellent too! Not cheap, but the quality of produce is evident, you get what you pay for. Love the work the Felons team are doing at Manly Wharf.

Church
The Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel is a breathtaking venue that perfectly complements its stunning surroundings, offering picturesque views of Manly and the ocean. Recently, couples have praised the chapel for its remarkable atmosphere and exceptional service provided by Charmian, the chapel manager. She expertly coordinated wedding ceremonies, guiding couples through every step—from showcasing the chapel's rich history to managing rehearsals with the officiating priest. Couples have expressed their gratitude for her professionalism and support throughout their special day.
Charmian the chapel manager was an angel on the day. Well organised and made sure everything ran smoothly. Perfect place to get married in Sydney - Amazing views, professional management, beautiful regal church. The audio was amazing and the lighting was perfect.
Mary T — Google review
Amazing place, very beautiful. Shame the chapel was closed and as it’s an education institution it’s closed for visitors interested in touring around the buildings and learn from its history as St Patrick’s college and the heritage to the Catholic Church.

Remember playing on the lawns as a kid.. came back to see what it looks like now days- and it still looks amazing and majestical as it used to.

Stunning Chapel to match the amazing location and view of Manly and the ocean! Thank you Charmian for co-ordinating our wedding ceremony as memorable as possible. From showing us the chapel and explaining its history, guidelines of the church and supplier recommendations, co-ordinating the wedding rehearsals with our priest, down to the wedding day; even giving us tips to find ways to save money for the wedding! We are truly grateful for you professionalism, kindness and support. Highly recommended!
Joseph E — Google review
An absolutely stunning church. My wife and I were recently married at the Chapel, and cannot fault it. Charmian, the chapel manager, was fantastic. Incredibly helpful and made sure our ceremony ran like clockwork. The priest who officiated our ceremony, Father Lex Keys, was also wonderful. He wasn't overbearing, was easy to deal with and we were very happy to be married by him. The location is spectacular. Would highly recommend.

The most beautiful chapel in Sydney. A wedding I attended.

Perched on top of the headland at manly, if the massive paved walkway thru the ample garden isn't enough there's a walk that attaches to little beach along a winding path thru a shady valley. Relatively easy walk and both ends of the track well worth the wander.. Simply stunning masonry work as you'd expect from any religious building of this kind . Simply well worth the visit ,although it is a college of sorts it is still kwite easily accessible with some simply amazing opportunitys for that desired selfy, or the prize winner of your next photography exhibit...haha... Well worth a look... A real life castle, here in our own backyard...(well close to it...haha)
