What a surprise, I couldn't find it at first but after finding it what a happy experience. Ericka was amazing. Great bartender made great drinks. The bar has good happy vibes, great choice of music, attentive staff. Thanks to Justin and Simon. I recommend the drinks Pandesal, it's like a tiramisu cake, and the Midnight Self a smooth balanced creamy drink

Very raw and lowkey interior setup, and as my companion said, "it's not aesthetic". But hey, you come in here for high quality service and cocktails. Definitely not watered down so I like that it's gimmicky, but at the same time, alcohol-forward. The staff are really nice too (not a first timer here btw). Shoutout to Erika for being so nice by giving us free shots and other stuff. Probably the only time I will give this a perfect score is when there's a snack menu. Yes, they give you free nuts and refills, but still, bar food is the way to go for proper cocktail pairing.

The drinks are average but consistently reliable, with strong customer appeal. What truly stands out, however, is the service. Every staff member is friendly, introduces themselves by name, and even offers a handshake. Weekend music selections were also excellent. The interior is very simple, yet it’s easy to see why this brand is so popular.

The servers were absolutely hospitable. As soon as we stepped in, we were offered somewhere to seat and just a few minutes later, our server (Ben) took his time to introduce their entire menu to us. They offer customized drinks as well. The place was big enough that it won't feel too crowded and you have space to talk intimately with whoever you're with. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to just chill while drinking.

Went here with my boyfriend on a Friday night and it was pretty packed but still had a cozy and intimate vibe. The service is great and the waiters were incredibly attentive and helpful. We ordered cocktails and the Pandesal was my favourite, it was their own take on the classic espresso martini and it was a 10/10 for me. You can even order off the menu which we appreciated so much! Would go back here again.

The Curator is a classic for a reason. If you care about quality, this is where you go. Forget the food - it’s just okay, you can grab a bite anywhere. The reason you're here is the coffee and the cocktails. They run a tight ship with both: excellent specialty coffee during the day, and serious, world-class cocktails at night. They know what they’re doing. The vibe is the best part. It’s dark, relaxed, and the crew is genuinely great. They make you feel comfortable immediately. It’s one of those spots that feels like a refuge. It’s popular now, so the crowd is random; sometimes you get great company, sometimes you don’t. It’s a hit or miss when you’re sharing a table. Bottom line: If you want a top-tier drink in a place that feels like home, stop in. Recommended.

Coffee is really good. Breakfast is really sulit. The shake is shake o what o is perfect to my taste.

We found this place on the way to a restaurant for dinner and we decided to visit after dinner. Liked the vibe, liked the drinks, especially The Velvet Underground. Their staff is superb, and I appreciate how they presented the drinks. Would definitely recommend 👍🏻👍🏻

The drink combinations didn’t suit my taste. Each of the specialty cocktails seemed to have clashing flavors that interfered with one another.

A great place for cocktails and music. You enter inside a 7 Eleven and discover a door leading to this great amazing bar. This itself is an experience and then on top they serve amazing cocktails and play great music. The bar is super vibrant with full of people even on a Thursday. The experiment was simple superb. They have a huge variety of cocktails and almost cover all what you may expect. It is a hidden treasure in BGC area in Metro Manila.

Bank Bar is hands down one of my favorite spots in BGC. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a vibrant yet cozy atmosphere that instantly sets the mood for a great night. The vibes here are just right—lively but not overwhelming—and the crowd is always diverse and super friendly. It feels like a place where everyone belongs, whether you’re out with friends, meeting new people, or just enjoying a quiet drink at the bar. The drinks are absolutely amazing. You can tell the bartenders put real craft into what they serve, and each cocktail feels thoughtfully made. They also have a dedicated smoking zone, which is a nice touch for those who want it without affecting the rest of the space. A huge shoutout to Kevin, the bartender—probably the most popular face here, and for good reason. He’s not only talented behind the bar but also makes you feel right at home. Whether it’s recommending drinks, cracking a joke, or just keeping conversations flowing, Kevin really elevates the experience. Overall, Bank Bar isn’t just about great drinks—it’s about the atmosphere, the people, and the warmth that keeps you coming back. Atmosphere 8/10 Speakeasy bar with an entrance through a 7-11, inside a bank building. The bar itself is relatively big with a lot of table seating and big bar counter. High ceilings. Nice backbar. The atmosphere and the furniture made it feel like a lounge. Western dance music in the background Drinks 4/10 Recommendation: - Nice menu design with a lot of details for each drink (description, glass shape, ingredients). However, the drinks did not convince me… flavors were unbalanced and I could not taste any alcohol. Minimal garnish and very basic presentation. Also low quality glassware Service 3/10 Friendly team, but no service. Water only to purchase as a bottle. Prices are average for Manila

Hidden speakeasy with the entrance through a 7-11, surprisingly. The space is quite large and can accommodate larger parties. They have some good cocktails (around PHP 500) and lots of gin options for their gin and tonics. Their food is mostly snack and bar food, but worth a taste. One unique feature is their bathroom, which have some interesting looking handles and a bathroom attendant.

I finally visited the first hidden bar I knew in Manila. I was refused to enter the bar because I was wearing slippers. There’s no security standing in front of the entrance in 7-11 on Tuesday night. My friend and I were excited to walk in and were surprised the cocktail was pretty strong. We didn’t order any food because we just finished our dinner. The fried squid or the onion rings from the next bar seats looks yummy. The bartenders are friendly and helpful and the playlist is my type as well.

I’ve been a loyal patron of The Bank Bar since 2015. Back in the day, it was one of the city’s best-kept secrets — exclusive, always buzzing, and hard to get into with the bouncers at the door. The intimate space gave it a special vibe, whether you managed to grab a reserved table or just stood by the bar soaking in the energy. However, in my recent visits, I’ve noticed that the atmosphere isn’t quite what it used to be. The drinks are still top-notch — expertly crafted and beautifully curated — but the music has really gone downhill. The DJ feels outdated, and the playlists just don’t match the energy or current trends. Please, bring back the magic! Change up the DJ and refresh the music selection — this place deserves to shine again. A better ambiance would make The Bank Bar the go-to spot once more before the competition catches up.

We arrived without prior reservations and had to wait a bit for seating. Although the bar wasn't crowded, all seats were occupied. We can order directly at the bartender, and while prices are on the higher side, the cocktails are truly exceptional - worth every penny! The food was equally impressive, making it a great overall experience.

So far the hostel seems good, but one problem. After you book/pay, they tell you that you have to give a cash deposit, which would be ok but if you don’t have any cash with you, that’s a problem because they don’t take credit card and they don’t let you check in if you don’t pay. I offered a card and other currency money, but they wouldn’t take it. They asked for my ID and are keeping it at the moment, I complaint and they said I signed a small letter in the check in that I would let me ID if I don’t have cash. Anyways, I would have prefer to leave, also because the guy was rude at the end, but I stayed because I didn’t have elsewhere to go + they have my ID. Is it legal?

I enjoyed my stay here. Nice location in Poblacion, friendly staff, free cocktail on the rooftop bar, lots of daily activities that you can join, comfy beds, and amazing breakfast! I'll definitely choose them again. Highly recommended.

I stayed here at their dorm type room in a very competitive price. The room was basic with double deck beds and lockers for you to use but you need to bring your own padlock. Toilet was cleaned daily with heater and tissues. It is near to restaurants, supermarkets and night clubs. Most of the people who stays here are travellers and backpackers. They serve free breakfast/ cocktails at night and even videoke for socialization and to kill the boredom. :)

Pros : It's in the middle of the Makati area, accessible to bars, nightlife life etc. Along with accommodation, it has several options for guests. It has a dance floor on the ground floor and, karaoke bar on the terrace. Every evening, they conduct city walks for free. It has an in-house restaurant with good options. Morning breakfast is also good. It's a continental breakfast. There is an ATM inside the property, which is very convenient. Currency exchange is a little far. Cons : Sometimes the music will be loud. Especially on the weekends, it disturbed my sleep, and I was disappointed with that; otherwise, everything is good. There are no Indian restaurants nearby, I need to walk for 15 minutes every day to have lunch or dinner.

This place is like my 2nd home whenever I come to manila. I have stayed at their dorm and private rooms and both are pretty neat. They serve varieties of breakfast and it’s always good! Many spots to hang out to, their cafe, gaming room, roof and sundeck with bar and fun activities like beer pong and ktv so if you ever get bored in your room, you’ll have places to go within the building. Really nice staff and volunteers btw especially the bar staff, Kyah Miguel and Jonard always get my drink right and they pay attention to my orders so I never have to wait that long so shout out to them! 😉

Exactly what I expected for a one night stay. Clean rooms, friendly staff and tasty breakfast. Keep in mind it is a bit of a party hostel, so DJ music on roof goes pretty late sometimes until 3am.

Great place to stay one night. It's my third time in the philippines but my first hostel I've stayed in here in manila I belive. For what I paif, im plesently surprised. The only real problem was the outlet in the room being loose and not working properly, smaller than expected room, the locstion being a little risky and the slightly outdsted bathroom. However, the locstion was also good, as there were plenty of food options snd close to everything. Just watch your belongings type thing. Room wss quiet and had ac. Loved the rooftop bar, included breakfast, walking tour and karaoke. Even though I preferred a private room, I realize I didnt make a bad choice on a nonrefundable accommodation. As a 24 yo solo male traveler from thr us, I would recommend staying here if looking for a good hostel.

One of our best date nights in Makati! We absolutely enjoyed the steak and wine - ended up getting 2 bottles because it was such a good deal. We’re glad we found this spot, and they even have a rooftop bar! Just a small note - we were a bit surprised there wasn’t any free bread or starter considering the price. Not a complaint, just an observation. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back!

Love the vibe here—perfect spot for the millennial crowd! I attended an event last night (October 6) and it was such a great experience. The food was delicious and the portions are generous—big enough to share. I ordered the Truffle Pasta and you can really taste the truffle, which was amazing. The cocktails and red wine were also spot on. Special shoutout to my server, Rainier, who was very accommodating and made the night even better. Highly recommend!

Dr. Wine Población was the first branch of the brand. While the place itself looks great, its menu differs from the BGC branch — and unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. I came specifically for their burger, seafood bisque, and octopus, but none of these were available on the menu. What we ordered: • Steak Tartar: As good as their BGC branch. 5/5 • Mussels: A bit plain and lacked excitement. 3/5 • Foie Gras: Good, though I still prefer the one from their BGC brunch. • Gambas: It was fine, but the addition of star anise didn’t really enhance the flavor. 3/5 Atmosphere: The place looks really nice, especially for evening drinks. Service: Service was good, although the waiter seemed a bit too eager to clear the dishes — perhaps because we were the only diners at the time. 4/5 Overall Rating: 3/5 — If the menu had been the same as the BGC branch, this would easily be a 5/5.

Eat here two days. Will be back when Next in Manila. Onion soup and Foie Gras the first night. On the second day, I had the prawn flambé the pate and the salmon. They do a two for one between five and seven on glasses of wine and alcohol - I think it’s Monday to Friday, and it makes it very very good value. Don’t miss out. Definitely eat here.

Very nice place. Not intended destination today, but I'm glad I stopped in. Baba ganoush was super delicious. Sunday happy hour 3-7 buy one, get one. I had an Aperol Spritz and my friend had 1 white and 1 red sangria. Recommended.

This place was absolutely incredible. From the moment you walk in you are immersed in a dimly lit and sexy atmosphere. The name is apt as this bar has the most extensive collection of spirits I’ve ever seen. I’ve had cocktails in 40+ countries and I’m a bar owner myself and I’ve got to say this might be the best bar I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, the drinks were perfect, the value proposition was spot on. If you’ve never been there I would recommend a Wednesday night, they have live music and it was electric in there all night. I can’t say enough about how extraordinary this joint is. One of my favorite spots in the city. Come for the cocktails, stay for the vibe, and come back for the live jazz! I brought many friends here and it never disappoints. It’s usually filled to the brim Fridays to weekends, so make sure you come early. Drinks are normal Poblacion price, so it’s definitely worth it.

Dark and loud bar that has several different Asian inspired drinks, each with their own story. It has a nice interior, but is quite loud and hard to see. Their wall of drinks is quite beautiful to see and at times, it can be quite busy with few seating options.

Reserved a table for four in the red room (1st floor). Food is very good and sulit for its price. 11 pm onwards would be very loud since the party is getting started.

First time at Kampai and it did not disappoint! We came right when they opened at 6pm—perfect timing because it was quiet and we really got to soak in the interiors, the feels, and the overall vibe. Definitely one of the best hidden gems in Poblacion. Highly recommend trying: - Kampai Steak Rice – Steak Fillet, Steak Rice, Sous Vide Egg, served with Miso Soup (₱550) - Arabiki Sausage Omucurry – Japanese Sausage, Japanese Egg, Curry Sauce, Kimchi, Chili Oil, also with Miso Soup (₱500) Both dishes were spot on, flavorful, and very comforting. Also loved their signature cocktails—great mix to pair with the food. A solid spot I’ll definitely come back to.

Went here one night in Poblacion and it was packed — the line was pretty long, especially going upstairs. The crowd’s mostly young and energetic, and the vibe was great. The DJ and music were on point that night — definitely a fun spot if you’re into lively scenes and good beats. 🎶🍸

Went here on saturday, super crowded. Mga 10pm when we arrived and meron pang vacant seats but naka reserved na huhu. So if weekend, make sure mag pa reserve muna before coming para makaupo waaah. Twas a fun experience tho. If you like dancing, huhu medyo dry ung crowd. 😭 i mean compare sa disturbia etc. Their amaretto sour was soooooo good!!! Will come back here for that!

A bit better than the rest of Pobla. Food was okay. Can't really comment as we were already a bit intoxicated from the last bar. Drinks here were on the weaker side and we found ourselves sobering up on their cocktails. If you want value for money in terms of getting drunk, just order bottles of sake.

There is no band in the store. The food is average, the wine is exceptional. The interior decoration feels like being on a ship. It's suitable for a quiet drink, but it's too quiet and the atmosphere is ordinary.

food is okay, good serving but the jerk chicken is NOT jerk chicken...tasted more like bbq chicken if anything. good and juicy though but i wouldnt call it jerk chicken. i did have to wait a reeeeaaally long time bc the cook wasnt there yet even after two hours of being open (ig it's really more of just a drinking place). place is decorated really nice though!

Super chill bar, I love the reggae music before 10pm. It’s a totally different vibe when the DJ plays pop music. Everybody in the house is dancing and singing, so much fun. The mugs of cocktails are lovely and they taste amazing good.

Amazing playlist --RNB 2000! Not a huge fan of the drinks but it was chill and no minimum order/table consumption fee even during the busy weekend days. The service was also good since there is always someone close who can assist you.

Came here because the bar I wanted to try was closed, and glad I did. Looking for a craft beer, and their Engkanto range doesn’t disappoint. It all sounds a bit weird but tastes great. Mango Nation hazy IPA and High Five honey ale were both excellent, and I don’t normally do flavoured beer. And they mix some fabulous cocktails. Super friendly staff, good music, and what I assume would be a cool spot on any night except a quiet Monday. Check it out

After I had my dinner, I proceeded to Polilya to have some good time, chilling over there. The atmosphere and vibes were really really good, because it's a Friday night, so kind of full house but still the entertainment vibes are up to the next level. I had ordered Honey Ale and Live It Up Lager, the beers were really nice, I really enjoyed myself over there.

We saw this place sold Engkanto beer, which we really enjoy and we're blown away by the experience. The cocktails were delicious and balanced. The bar bites were tasty. The atmosphere is hip and the music was a DJ set with transitions. We were here pretty late on a Wednesday night, around 11pm. It was pretty quiet inside, only 2 other groups and us. I'm hoping it was quiet because it was a weeknight. This place is worth the hype!

First time to try this bar but has already been recommended by friends and i was supposed to visit them on their older location but the place was packed! Luckily this time i went and there was quite a lot of seats free! Got the mango and rice and the queen of hearts and my gosh! They were amazing!!! I never tasted cocktail this fine yet! The spice in the queen of hearts made you want to sip and sip and sip! The attentiveness and friendliness of their staff was also nice to feel.

You can go here alone and meet new people at the barstools, the customers at the bar area are open and in the same mood/headspace. Had an amazing night at Run Rabbit Run! The vibe was perfect — cozy, artsy, and full of good energy. The cocktails were top-notch, but what really made the experience memorable was Paulo, our barista (and mixologist for the night!). He was super friendly and clearly passionate about what he does. He asked about our drink preferences and surprised us with a custom cocktail that perfectly matched what we wanted — refreshing, balanced, and beautifully presented. Filling Stations Bar & Cafe is such a fun and vibrant place to visit! The ambiance is amazing unique, nostalgic, and full of character. The staff are very friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The place is also very entertaining, perfect for hanging out with friends or just enjoying the vibes. The food is okay..not the best, but definitely decent enough to match the lively atmosphere. Overall, it’s a great spot if you want good service, a cool setting, and a fun time.

The decor and vibe is very cool, full on American diner style with a pink caddy on the ceiling and lots of flare and bling around. The food (we had burgers) was absolutely nothing to rave about. Very basic and nothing special about it at all. Service was alright. Overall would recommend for some pictures and a drink or milkshake perhaps but would not come back for food.

When I visited for lunch, it was calm and relaxing, but later that evening the place was packed—the entire street was alive with people and energy 🌆✨. The Filling Station is definitely worth a visit for its extravagant and unique atmosphere every corner feels like a retro movie set! 🎞️✨ The décor and vibe are amazing, full of color and nostalgia. Had an amazing time at Vu’s Sky Bar and Lounge in Marco Polo Ortigas! The ambiance was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the city skyline that made for a perfect night out. The mix of live music and the relaxing rooftop vibe created a fantastic atmosphere. The gastro cocktails were top-notch. A special shoutout to Lynn, who provided outstanding service! She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her warm and welcoming attitude really made our night even more special. If you're looking for a great rooftop spot with excellent service, delicious food, and stunning views, Vu’s is definitely the place to be. Highly recommended!

The view from the rooftop is beautiful, overlooking the Makati Ayala Triangle, it really sets a nice backdrop for the night. Perfect spot if you’re after city lights and rooftop vibes. The food was okay, nothing special or standout, but decent enough for casual dining. What threw me off a bit was the music, it was too loud for a place that seems like it’s trying to offer a more upscale experience. I couldn’t tell if they were going for a fine dining atmosphere or a bar/club scene. That said, the service was excellent. Staff were friendly, attentive, and quick, which really helped make the experience more enjoyable overall. If they tone down the music a little, it could be a perfect chill spot.

When I arrived at the entrance, a male staff member informed me that the restaurant was fully booked. I asked if there was any chance of getting a table later, but he explained that they were fully occupied for the day. However, once inside, another staff member kindly showed me to a table. Although all the seats with a view were taken and mine didn't have a view, I still thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the drinks. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience.

Their carbonara and pizza were pretty good, though I wasn’t a fan of the steak since it was served cold and a bit chewy. Service was also on the slower side, and the prices felt a bit high for the taste. But if you’d like to experience dining at the top of the building with a nice view, you can still give this place a try.

I was looking for a cozy place where we could celebrate our anniversary in Makati. This restobar is all over tiktok search that’s why we gave it a try and booked our reservation. Our experience was just okay. Food is just okay, nothing really stood out and nothing’s special, also service can be improved since it is also part of the expense. Feels like they’re short staffed or would be better if they will be more accommodating to the guests. Vibe is just okay, too. Just request not to be seated near the DJ or live music. If you’re just two, seat in the balcony area as the view is amazing.

We discovered this restaurant on social media, and I was convinced to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday there. We made a reservation, but unfortunately, our experience didn’t turn out great. Still, I’ll just focus on what actually happened. The reception was accommodating, we were seated right away at the spot we requested, which had a nice city view. However, when it came time to order, we were disappointed to find that many of the dishes listed online weren’t available. It made choosing our meals more difficult. On top of that, it was really hard to get the attention of any waiter, and they didn’t even offer us service water. When we asked about their best-selling drinks, the waiter didn’t know. I also made a special request to have “Happy Birthday” written on the dessert plate, something I saw done for other customers, but the waiter said that’s only for birthday celebrants and asked for an ID as verification. We provided the ID, and they confirmed our order. After waiting for about half an hour, our food finally arrived one by one. While waiting for the birthday dessert, we eventually decided to start eating since it was nearly impossible to get the attention of any staff. What really bothered us was seeing other birthday celebrants being greeted, sung to, and celebrated by the staff, something we were expecting too, especially since I informed them it was my girlfriend’s birthday. But we didn’t get any of that, and the birthday dessert never arrived. We ended up asking for the rest to be packed for takeout and requested the bill. Again, it took a long time to get the waiter. When the bill arrived, the dessert wasn’t included, which was fine, since we already lost interest by then. But what frustrated us more was the ₱200+ service charge. For that amount, we expected at least decent service, but we didn’t even get basic service water. The serving was slow, and the waiters were unresponsive, to the point that even the people at the table next to us looked visibly annoyed. In the end, we just left with our takeout. Honestly, we felt that even Jollibee would’ve been more worth it. This place is all hype because of the view, but the service was poor and the food choices were very limited. Again, I’m not trying to bring them down, this review is based solely on our experience. If you had a better one, we’re happy for you.

We didn’t make any reservations but there were available seats for 2 people and we were seated within 5 minutes. The place is nice and so is the menu but some were unavailable. Also, the music is just not for me. It was too loud and the playlist was cheap. I saw some couples trying to have a romantic date but couldn’t talk to each other. If you’re going for a romantic date, try another bar. The waitstaff were a little disappointing, some clearly saw us trying to order but ignored us, one signaled a hand that felt so dismissive.

I've never seen such a concept of mystical bar/restaurant with a Filipino touch. Very enchanting! Aside from the ambience, the drinks are also delicious and unique. We tried some of their specialties with their world-renowned ube liqueur. Every Friday, they also have live acoustic music and if you are daring, you can jam with them and sing for the crowd. I would say this is my best go-to bar in Poblacion area. Prices are almost similar to clubs but their cocktails are with quality ingredients.

Agimat at Ugat Foraging Bar and Kitchen is not an ordinary ordinary bar, nor is it located in any ordinary area with an ordinary exterior or interior. Most drinks have been modified (both in taste and execution), to suit the tastes and preferences of the Filipino upper class. A powerful bar with experienced and skilled bartenders. The bar is trendy and attracts different ages. On my visit, most were between 30 and 40 years old. The cocktails I tried were presented with passion and fervor. The taste was quite sweet for me. This is an expensive bar and quite different, but definitely worth several visits.

This is not just a restaurant it’s an experience. We had some amazing drinks that came with stories and a full dramatization. The meal was delicious and the staff were so kind. They also had their own liquor lines that were made locally that were amazing. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

Service is SUPERB! All their staff are friendly and nice. I just can’t explain how happy we were because you don’t get to see this often. Food selection, most especially their pica-pica, could be improved. We found ordering the same thing all throughout the night. Would appreciate wider selection. Don’t order the chicharon with egg 😅 kamote fries & the fried basket are okay. Cocktail Drinks are priced from P350-P400+, fave was whiskey sour and ube liquer (because I like my drinks sweet with a kick!), and the beers are also REALLY GOOD which are priced from P200-P250. DJ music could also be improved but overall nice vibes, we get to sing and dance our hearts out! 😊 Whenever someone orders their Creation drinks, they perform this amazing “ritual” where they showcase their barista skills to create the concoction, honestly it’s amazing! Also to note, if you want to reserve a table, there’s a P1,500 per head consumable rate on fridays and saturdays! But despite that I think you can just order anytime at the bar.

The back room belong to Shangri La hotel located outside the building with a separate entrance. The bar is well designed with a retro look. Being mid week not much crowd but a descent selection of drinks. Need to visit another time when it is more with crowd.

Personally I can say that this is one of the best bars I’ve ever been to. I’ve had some of the best cocktails i’ve ever tasted here at The Back Room and the atmosphere is very cozy and chill. They have a Gin lab which they kindly gave me a tour of and explained everything for me as they specialize in Gin. Can’t say enough about how friendly and nice the full staff are without any exceptions, all of them were lovely and made me feel more than welcome and comfortable, you can see from the pictures and big smiles lol If you’re ever in Manila, it’s a must to visit.

Turned up at 7:30 pm on a Sunday wearing a tailored shirt and tailored shorts — refused entry because I wasn’t in long trousers. The door staff even asked the brilliant question, “Do you have long pants?” — yes, of course, I’ve hidden them in my back pocket just in case the temperature drops 20°C! It’s 33°C and humid, yet they cling to this outdated, pretentious dress code as if it’s 1920s London, not Manila in 2025. I’ve been to countless top-tier bars across Asia and Middle East, and not one has turned away a smartly dressed customer in tailored shorts. This policy reeks of form over substance — next thing you know, they’ll be demanding brogues, a blazer, and a tie just to sip a cocktail. I understand the need for some standards, but this is petty gatekeeping at its worst. Not to be defeated, I did come back later with long pants. Inside, it’s so dark you can barely see someone five metres away so I’m don’t understand the objective of their policy. The cocktail menu has a few interesting twists, but nothing blew me away. The atmosphere was pleasant enough, with some funky jive music in the background. Would I return? Probably as decent semi decent speakeasy bar fee and far between in Manila, but I still think the long-pants rule is nonsense, albeit I would not have been caught out on a weekday after work. Tried their vault and red c-note, cocktail. Price is normal for good Asian speak easy bar. Low overall ⭐ due to their petty policy and getting off on a very bad footing

This was my first ‘speakeasy’ experience in Philippines, and my friend and I loved the ambiance and vibe. It’s located in a very safe area in BGC. We didn’t have to wait too long to get a table either. Plus, they prepared a custom mocktail for me, which I appreciated. The waiters and hostesses were great. One of the hostesses was very sweet and took our pictures too. Ps: the popcorn was yum!

Had a good time here. Drinks were solid, atmosphere even better. Dark but alive, not the kind of dark that makes you tired. Just right for slow conversations that turn into long ones. Would come back.

Our experience at Yes Please at The Palace was very memorable. We had a great time and found the place highly recommendable. From the entrance, security checks ensure safety, and the friendly crew made us feel welcome. The bartenders were exceptional, providing great service and adding to our positive experience. The bathrooms were clean and tidy, which we appreciated. It's important to reserve a spot before you go, as the venue can get busy. We loved the wide selection of drinks and food, which added to the enjoyable atmosphere. We will definitely come back here. Overall, it was a fantastic visit.

Been here more than 3x already with my friends. All the staff/bartenders are accommodating and nice. You can just chill and mind your own business or dance the night away especially if they have events. I love the coziness here while I’m doing tita vibes on a Sunday night. My favorite among their food is the Steak Rice (chef’s kiss) and Buffalo Chicken Chops. For the drinks, I’d say it’s Pretty Woman, Seoul Station and Red Bull Vodka (and of course, never will not order Jose Cuervo!) 🫣

I had an awkward and uncomfortable experience tonight. One of the waitresses suddenly asked, “are you pregnant?” which caught me off guard. I said “no, why???” and she replied, “Bawal po kasi uminom ang pregnant” then walked away without saying sorry or explaining. I understand the concern, but the way it was asked was rude and unprofessional. I hope the staff can handle situations like this more thoughtfully next time. Also, the cocktails had barely any alcohol.

Good place for relax. Quite pricey. Regis Hilton member before you pay. You will get discount -10%. The truffle fries is good. when i was there around 7pm, there was a live band. Don't sit near the door. Quite noisy and windy when people open it. Anyway overall good. Will visit again.

An absolutely stunning restaurant located in the Conrad. So happy to have stumbled upon this place before my flight out of the Philippines. The restaurant was quite busy, but it was very relaxing and chill. Stop by for cocktails and some light snacks. I was told the high tea set that is offered was a very cute experience.

The afternoon tea had a perfect balance of savory and sweet items, making it enjoyable from start to finish without feeling too heavy. The limited-edition drink was also delicious and definitely worth trying. The view from the table wasn’t great due to ongoing land reclamation work, but it’s not a big issue if the view isn’t your top priority. It took about 30 minutes from ordering to being served, so I’d recommend going with plenty of time to spare. The clubber sandwich was also good.

After a long day at Mall of Asia, we wanted to wind down with some Champagne and good cocktails. We picked the C Lounge at the Conrad hoping to be a place of respite from the overwhelming experience at MOA. The food was ok. The ribs were “too porky.” We took one bite and that was it. The bolognese was fine; nothing to write home about. They had a very limited wine list, which was disappointing. The staff were friendly but a bit inexperienced. At one point, the supervisor (?)(she was wearing a different attire) asked if she could “borrow the menu.” We wondered how they had a shortage of menu when the lounge was not nearly full of guests. They may just need more time in hospitality. The lounge was beautiful and the live music that evening was great. Overall, it was an okay experience.

As excellent as the Conrad Hotel is — a true embodiment of balance and harmony — the C-Lounge is its complete opposite, tipping the scales firmly into disaster. The service was atrocious. In a half-empty lounge, I was moved from table to table three times for no apparent reason, ultimately being seated right at the entrance, in the middle of the traffic flow. There were no reservation signs on the tables — it was simply the whim of the managers. Frankly, to protect the hotel’s reputation, places like this lounge should be shut down, and the staff dismissed with a permanent black mark on their records. I strongly advise against visiting. If the staff want to understand what proper service looks like, they should observe the neighboring China Blue. That place deserves 11 out of 10, and I’d happily tip them without hesitation.

went here on a whim after braving the weekend crowd and the afternoon tea set did not disappoint — it was completely unexpected and very good, from how the selection was explained to the taste of the paté. would definitely go back to check out the revolving afternoon tea sets. one critique though is the cappuccino- barely any foam and tasted more like cafe au lait. gonna stick to hot tea next time i guess.

Pretty cool bar with a laid-back, slightly upscale atmosphere. It wasn't that crowded when I went, but it was a weeknight and relatively early, and it started filling up as I was leaving. I can say that if you're looking for a very affordable meal and drinks with some of the best photo opportunities in Manila, this is the place.

Gives off the vibes of my past visit in Singapore The CE LA VI Rooftop Bar in Marina Bay Sands but a little bit smaller. View is good but not a lot of sights to see. Just residential rooftops and the skyline of skyscrapers of Ortigas and BGC. Cocktails are affordable and ok. Not a lot of people on that time of visit.

A little bit hard to find the entrance, it's in the ACE Suites reception, but once you're at the top floor, the views from the open sides are good, and the glass roof kept us dry with the rain. The food itself is good, larger sized portions than expected. The atmosphere is good, it was a bit quiet when we were there, because of the holiday weekend. Would recommend this place on your stay in Manila.

When we enter i ask the staff if we can sit anywhere and she said yes, but in the rooftop its not available because the sits are wet because of rain so we decided to sit on the side. But theres a group of foreigners arrived and they assisted to the rooftop area. But anyway i love the food and the ambiance of the place.

We were offered the seats w/o much view because apparently, may reservations daw sa ibang seats but when my friend called in advance, wala naman daw silang reservations. We transferred naman din. :) Nevertheless, food is good. 100% recommend their sushi platter (large serving) and cocktails. Polite staff, place can get pretty busy so it might take a while to get your order/request.

Perched on the top floor of The Bayleaf Hotel, the Sky Deck offers stunning panoramic views of the city skyline. While some areas can get quite hot under the sun, these are arguably the best spots to catch the sunset. There’s also a rooftop bar one level higher that adds to the ambiance. Food & Drinks: • Beef Birria Tacos: Served with consommé and nacho chips. The concept was promising, but the meat turned out dry and the sauce was just average. The corn tacos didn’t elevate the dish much. • Shanghai Dynamite Rolls: Deep-fried spicy pork and shrimp rolls with sweet chili and garlic vinegar. Tasted more like minced pork with carrots and peppers in a crispy shell—an okay dish, but not particularly memorable. • Sizzling Bulalo: Featuring tender beef shanks, vegetables, and a bone marrow gravy. Unfortunately, the gravy was overly sweet and heavy, and the vegetables turned limp from continued sizzling. • Bayleaf Bagnet: Their house special crispy pork belly. Nicely crisped but retained a noticeable layer of fat. Served with pinakbet, which had a good mix of vegetables like okra, green beans, and peppers. • Mango Canonigo: A twist on Italian meringue with mango and a rich, sweet sauce. Visually appealing, but far too sweet overall. • Ricotta Cheesecake: A decent dessert—somewhere between a Basque cheesecake and a traditional one. Nothing standout, but pleasant enough. Drinks: • Watermelon juice was watered down. • Strawberry shake looked great but was overly sweet. Also a very limited alcohol selection with no cocktails on offer. Service: Service was slow, and all dishes were served at once, which made the experience feel rushed and less enjoyable. Value: Total bill came to around $85 USD for five people, which included five drinks and seven dishes (including two desserts). Reasonably priced, but the food and service didn’t quite meet expectations.

A popular eatery on top of the well known Bayleaf hotel. Great views of Intramuros. Popular not just for hotel guests. Service initially great but seemed to fade after we ordered. Lots of options. I recommend the Dynamite rolls and pizzas. I found the two sittings system confusing and ended up ignoring it.

We reserved online and the response was fast and polite. Pagdating namin, the staff led us straight to our requested table by the glass wall — ang ganda ng view. Service was excellent. They welcomed us, offered water, and were very attentive. We tried the Garlic Blue Marlin, Chicken & Pork Adobo, plus banana and mango shakes. The food was delicious and well-cooked, and the shakes were refreshing. The staff even offered to take photos for us — very thoughtful and friendly. We ended with their warm chocolate cake — rich, warm, and super satisfying. Overall, great experience. Masarap ang food, nice ambiance, and standout service. We'll definitely come back and recommend this place.

The very best environment with beautiful views of the city. The food was excellent. Had a couple mixed drinks and they were a little light on the alcohol but still good. The only thing was the waitress who first seated me never came back to check on me. I had to flag down two different staff to get another drink and then the bill. I still would highly recommend this place for the ambiance, relaxation, great music and wonderful food.

Faves: rice cups, tofu, oxtail, tres leches Sentimental fave is tres leches. Very unique version, pretty plating, decadent, and just the perfect ending to all the savoury meals. Very delightful dishes and worth every cent! Wonderful experience! This is where my partner and I had our first date. We had to recreate it a year after and it still did not disappoint. They seated us on the same seats we first dated last year ago. The food is delicious! They even wrote happy anniversary on our dessert and even asked us for our theme song so they could play it while we were eating. The owner also went and talked to us to make sure everything is okay. We had a great dining experience at Lampara! For starters, we tried the Dinuckdakan, which had lots of floss and really good flavor. The Croquettas were also delicious — cheesy on the inside and fun to try both on their own and with the honey. My favorite starter was the Chicharon Bulaklak, served perfectly crispy with just the right amount of saltiness and a tasty tamarind condiment on the side. For the mains, the Oxtail was my top pick — rich and flavorful. The Beef Belly was also good, and the Pork was nicely crispy. We got to try all the desserts, and my favorite was the Tres Leches — light, creamy, and perfectly sweet. The Yema Tsokolate and Polvoron were also enjoyable and well made. The servers were very nice and even took the time to explain the parts of our meals, which made the experience more special. The ambiance was warm and cozy, making it a great place to relax and enjoy good food. They recently received their Michelin Bib Gourmand Award, and it’s definitely well-deserved!

I’m prolly the go-to person when it comes to food in my circle, so when people ask me where to eat in Poblacion, I tell them Lampara is my favorite. It feels like home here. The warmth of the staff and lightning-fast service make all the difference. I love the interiors and the buzzing sound of people connecting over good food, though that’s just me. It’s not super quiet when it’s busy, and that’s part of what I find so charming. My faves: pulpo, rice cups, croquetas with hot honey, beef tenderloin, laing, oxtail kare-kare, pork, and tres leches for dessert. Finding this place isn’t easy (which I oddly love), but Lampara is definitely worth visiting more than once.

Randomly stumbled upon this place after dinner at Super Uncle Claypot. We got the Temple Run (Langka and Banana based) and Hallelujah (Ginger based). The Temple run was sweet (which I liked) and didn’t taste overpoweringly of Langka - reminds me of Turon. The Hallelujah according to my companion was okay, but had an aftertaste which may or may not be contributed by aged ginger. We didn’t try out the food but the atmosphere and staff is worth visiting. Plus the drinks which are Filipino inspired.

Cocktails are a bit pricey but overall good and chill atmosphere. I think they allow smoking indoors so just a heads up if the smell makes you queasy

Excellent place. Very discreet. Staff extremely attentive and are happy to give advice on what cigars or cigarillos to have. Can have a bit of people on the weekends. Pretty good bar eats too with options to either get food from Mandalay or The Belle & Dragon. Perfect place to grab a couple of drinks and a puff after a long day at work.

Best whisky bar in the city. They have more than 200 different bottles. Food is great and not that expensive. Their dry aged steak is, bar none, really the best. First timers should go from the front to get the Narnia effect (veterans use the back entrance). Highly recommended for groups or even intimate dates as the place is quiet and relaxing.

A good dark but themed place to slow down and unwind. Great selection of single- malt whisky's and Bourbon. Decent bar menu if you're hungry but don't expect a full dinner as this is a cigar bar. The staff are friendly and the manager, Sunny, will make sure all your liquor questions are answered.

Tipple and Slaw is located in the Pop Up at Katipunan. The atmosphere is lively with music and lots of other restaurants and bars. The restaurant is located on by the entrance and has a nice spot if you want a little privacy. The outdoor seating is nice or you can choose indoor seating on the main level. They also have an upstairs that is used for DJ and dancing. The menu is more upscale than most restaurants in the pop up, but the food is a good value for the money. The service is quick and friendly. Our sever, a women, was so nice and helpful. She told us about the popular dishes and also about the restaurant. We had a fried chicken and rice dish and the Chicken rice shawarma, both excellent. The menu had so many great options that we will have to come back again. We wish they had some more vegetables or vegetarian options. Overall a great place with solid food.

Ordered their Shawarma Rice and Katipunan Fried Chicken (forgot to take a pic). And they are both *chef's kiss*!! I would say the price is just right. And we will definitely come back again!

The restaurant space spans two floors, with the first floor designed for comfort and dining, while the second floor is perfect for partying and having fun with friends. Their Shawarma Rice is a must-try and considered the best in the metro. The baby squid and crispy sisig are also delicious. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance and a second floor for partying. Cocktails and coffee weren't half bad, and the chicken and potatoes were a generous serving. Would come back for sure. They blasted music a little too loud for my liking though given that there was still a lot of daylight. And the entrance is a little confusing since 1 of 2 doors weren't functioning.

Had our FDO9 (Funatucs Day out 9) at this resto bar food served is steak and chicken and both are good. Place is nice to hangout, have adrink and have some fun. Even having 200+pax their staff did a great job. Highly recommended for parties and events. FUNKO POWER! FUNKO FUNATIC PHILIPPINES!

The atmosphere, the staffs, drink, the DJ were awesome. The wicker chairs are not suitable for the lady’s outfits. It caught my clothes every time I moved and ruined it. The place is so nice and I wanna go back but I wouldn’t for this particular reason. Ladies, be aware of the wicker chairs when you seat.

A great spot to catch the sunset and enjoy the Makati skyline. The staff were friendly and attentive. The cocktails were decent, though a bit weak, so it felt more like a mocktail. Still, the view is definitely a winner and makes up for it. 🌆

I enjoyed Mistral, a nice place in the evening for a drink and a bite. Make a reservation for a good spot outside, drink a cocktail enjoy the music a bite the view and friends. Good cocktails with complementary water and snacks, I enjoyed the evening here.

I’m gonna be honest I came here with high expectations. Unfortunately I have to say I was disappointed. I ordered the lychee mocktail and it was ok. But for 350 pesos?? Come on now. Then I ordered the beef tacos and it took 30 minutes ! Just for some tacos. Not only that but they were cold. Was expecting the tortillas to be nice and warm. And there was barely any meat in them.

We went for drinks in the afternoon to avail their happy hour promo. It’s a little warm considering it’s in an al fresco setting but the views and the ambiance was really nice, especially at night. The drinks are “sulit” for its price and loved the complimentary olives and popcorn. The service crew are also really nice and accommodating. Definitely a must visit bar for a chill evening with friends.

Claimed our free welcome drinks at Mistral Rooftop Bar as part of the Accor Stay Plus benefit. We were given a list to choose from (they provide a separate menu for welcome drinks) and we were surprised that bar snacks were included when our drinks were served! The ambiance of the place was very nice, it was not too hot. Special thanks to our server, Garlyn, who was so attentive and friendly. My friends and I had a great time, we’ll be back!

Best to get drinks and snacks here around 530 to see the sunset. I loved my drink - Stiletto on 10th and the Midnight Blossom. My partner also enjoyed his Negroni. We love that there’s popcorn and olives with chili 💓 We ordered the classic platter of their bar how and had so much fun, and the vibe and music is also great!

This review is for the bar. The atmosphere that this bar has created is top-notch. With great food and drinks paired with some quality music, it'll make your stay worth the while. The only drawback for me is that the menu items are a bit pricey compared to other choices within the vicinity.

Good location, fast elevators, has a bar/restaurant with live music on the first floor and the beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms could have been cleaner though. Staff are smiling and pleasant. Recommended!

This is the elevator to the rooms inside the building. Didn’t take any photos in the room but the room maintenance, hygiene, facilities were better than I expected to be honest. But I had no idea what kind of area it’s located and I arrived at night^^; not dangerous, nor loud at all, maybe just a bit much entertaining!!

Facilities at this hostel are really nice. Nice and thick curtains that block out light and are great for privacy, really clean, they give you a toiletries pack, etc. My two stars has to do more with the people here and the lack of quiet hours. I woke up many times in the night (midnight through 4am) to people loudly talking and making noise, literally with zero consideration to anyone else. And I heard a few of them say they were just hanging out there and they weren’t actually staying in that room, I guess they met at the bar downstairs and were just keeping the party going in our dorm. I heard staff coming by as well so this seems to be the accepted norm. So maybe just don’t come here if you aren’t just looking for a bed before an early morning flight.<br/>Also, there are assigned towel hooks in the open area. Each hook is clearly marked with a dorm assignment. I hung my towel there before I went to sleep and the next morning it was gone and the hostel staff said I was responsible for it and had to pay 330 pesos. So maybe hang your towel in your dorm bed. The hostel staff was really apologetic but it seems as if there is no wiggle room in that policy... a bit ridiculous since the towels aren’t even marked so I could have just grabbed someone else’s towel and claimed it was mine.

By western standard, this is an excellent place for all type of backpackers. Friendly staff, clean and modern. There is a party area, a relaxing lounge, pantry etc. And it's well within the business capital Makati. 5 stars!

Transferred to this hostel right after I walked out of the horrendous Lokal Hostel. Found their services and facilities perfect! Bunk beds are awesome, though the mattress is a bit hard (maybe it's new?), doesn't wobble. It's meticulously designed ergonomically, their are designated hooks on the walls for your towels and stuff that you want to hang according to your assigned bed. They also include complementary toiletry kit upon check-in. Lockers and doors can be accessed with keycards! Lift and stairs are available. Sheets are immaculate and smelled nice, waaayyyy better than Z's and Lokal. Staff are helpful and courteous, checks out on me every time I pass by the reception as I wasn't really feeling well at that time. Lot's of food choices if you walk around the block. Not much social scene going on when I was there, pantry cum common room is on the 6th floor and nobody literally is in there. Overall, perfect for getting a good night's sleep and transits with walk-in rates reasonably priced.

I will be back for sure. The staff are super nice. 24h restaurant. Really clean. Tower for free. You can smoke at the terrace (in other hostels, even at the rooftops ) is forbidden.

Looking for a fancy looking place for a quick meal? Check out Zion at Burgos Circle in BGC. They have yummy food and can work on your fave drinks as well. Its a bar after-all. Its okay to bring the kids if they are craving for a late night tonkatsu or lechon macau.

The ambience was amazing, especially if you like the Japanese-neon night life aesthetic. It is quite small but very safe, considering that there's a bouncer at the front. It's quite pricey, you have to buy a bottle of liquor and a side dish before entering, which will set you back an estimated of P2k already. My 3 friends and I dined in at 6pm, so it was just us inside. The staff was not that alert, and were preoccupied with other tasks, it took a bit for us to get their attention. Some were polite, some weren't, it wasn't consistent. Overall, I would go there again but with a bigger group, we had a nice time thanks to the vibrant and lively ambience.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The food is very good and tastes authentic. Everything is full of flavor and freshly made. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are always friendly. Highly recommend this place if you are craving real Mexican food.

It was a nice experience. There is a vibe in the place. The meat/food is quality. Freshly cooked off the fire. We've tried better flavored tacos and burria, but we were satisfied and happy we went. They have fan and air-conditioned seating. They have lots of food and drinks offerings that you can choose from. Must try. But not a resto we'll crave to go back to and we also live in a different so we can come conveniently.

Boy, the place is so hot during the day without an AC. I’ve never been to Spain, but this place seems to be going for a traditional Spanish vibe, and honestly, it pulls that off pretty well. The atmosphere has a lot of charm, though the heat kind of kills the mood. The food was just okay for me—nothing special—but the prices were quite reasonable, so I can’t complain too much. There was only one staff member handling the whole dining area, so service was a bit slow.

My go to place for a chill out meal withy family.... All my sons are into Mexican food..... They love their quesadillas (cheese and garlic), their Chimichanga Asadas, their beef Burritos..... We are just decided to splurge for the night (Nov 1, 2025). Bill would have been.more if they had Coronas and Smifnroff in stock. Due to no stock my two older boys resorted to coke (hahaha saved a buck there). Wifey and I, just loved their pork barbeque. You gotta try this with their special chilli paste (ask for it or you won't get it, hahaha)... Heads up, make sure you have your cold beer with you before eating dipped barbeque in the chilli paste ..... (Don't say I didn't warn you). Go there, try whatever you want and enjoy yourself...... Don't order the rice, it's too filling and it will spoil the rest of the meal, just stick with the true arriba Mexican food.... Enjoy guys and BTW KUDOS to ALL the STAFF and CHEF of El Chupacabra.

Nice area to enjoy the nightlife. Many bars and food spots to visit. I think when in Manila, you should definitely give this area a try.

There are many nightclubs and bars along the street, as well as numerous restaurants on secondary streets, including Korean, Thai, Japanese, and Italian. The area gets busy after 9 or 10 p.m., but my gut feeling told me that the vibe started to feel unsafe after 10 or 11 p.m., so I left around 11 p.m.

I enjoy the almost American bar atmosphere, I don't have to wait for a server to get my drink, sometimes the bartender takes my drink order. Fabulous brunch which they are proud of. Afternoon atmosphere is super chill. Give it a try!

One of the best places I've been at. They are serving generous amount thats worthy off the price you payed. Drinks could be a bit expensive as they do not offer liquors in bottles except for beer and such.

Fun place! During the day there is a The Filipino Buffet that very affordable, just around 400 pesos. It’s of basic Pinoy dishes, and pretty acceptable on padre Faura street walking distance to Robinsons place manila. Eat all you can in the afternoon and Party 🎉 all you can in the nights! 😋😋😋😋

An attractive looking bar with OK live music. Beer (Pilsen) was P120 rather than the usual P100 so a little expensive. Service best described as appalling, lethargic and slow. Sat at bar and after 15 mins had not been able to order anything. Eventually had to shout at staff which was rude but the only way to get a beer. Place was busy but not packed. Requested a menu but this never arrived. Eventually, another customer took pity on me and fetched one somehow in a few seconds. Decided food would probably take a few years to arrive so went elsewhere to eat so cannot comment on food quality but it looked expensive. This could be a good bar but desperately needs a professional manager to address the ghastly service which, smply put, was unacceptable.

Such a memorable night! The staff were incredibly accommodating — even though only bar tables were available when I contacted for a reservation, they still went out of their way to get us a table. It made the evening feel extra special. They even surprised my girlfriend with a complimentary ice cream for her birthday, which truly made her smile. The food was just as amazing — every bite felt like our taste buds were discovering new flavors together. Warm people, great food, and the perfect atmosphere for a celebration. Food was really good! The flavors worked well together, especially their tapa. The serving was generous. Their salted egg hummus was something different, it tasted light and very healthy. The Butterscotch Latte was perfect, too. Place is very ambient and cozy, not too noisy.

My friend took me to this restaurant for dinner tonight, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The meat simply melts in your mouth. We tried their beef lechon toast, lamb pares, and pork kare-curry and they all had exquisite flavors. The ambiance was so peaceful as we were the first customers to dine in for dinner. I would love to try their other food on their menu on my next visit!

1st time to visit and eat at this resto. They did not disappoint. I had the tuna tartare and the pork kare-curry with red sangria. Crowd was good and the piped in music nice and not too load. JV was very friendly and accommodating. The chefs Jomina and Joker prepared the food well and to my dining pleasure. Will recommend this place to others to check out and enjoy.

Love the twists on foods! Personal fave is the Pork Kare Curry, the combination of Japanese Curry and Kare Kare works so well. The ambiance is nice and cozy and the staff were very attentive and were very nice. We were assisted by Sir JayJay. It was one of the best Indian foods I have ever had. Came here to celebrate a birthday, and it did not disappoint. The service was impeccable. The ambiance was just right. The complementary appetizer, however, was too salty for us. Highly recommended.

My experience was pretty disappointing...but I'd still give 3 stars because the flavors were good. Rogan Josh is my staple order whenever I eat at an Indian restaurant, and it was my first time to experience that: 1) you have to order rice separately.... 2) I was served meat with bones... Apparently, at this restaurant, you have to specifically mention if you want your Rogan josh with bones or not. What a joke.

My parents and I are craving for Indian food and we are happy to find this place around Makati. Staff is really nice and accommodating. Love the menu choices (appreciate the vegan options). We loved everything that we ordered (Cheese Naan, Garlic Naan, Chicken Biryani, Paneer Tika, Lamb Curry and Lassi). Serving is generous. One meal is good for 2-3 persons. Parking is available but may be limited in the street. May be on the pricier side but the quality and service makes it worth it. Highly recommended. Hopefully we'll be back soon if we visit Makati again.

I love the coziness of the restaurant's interior. And the food? Just amazing. This is my boyfriend and I's go-to Indian restaurant in Makati. The best in town.

Probably the best Indian food you will find in the Philippines. We got chicken tikka masala and loved it. It's super flavorful and rich, so we were satisfied splitting one between two people. The restaurant has a nice ambience and gets pretty busy in the evening, so I'd recommend making a reservation, especially if you're coming with a larger group. The only area for improvement is the tables. There's a metal bar underneath that makes sitting really uncomfortable 😅

Food was stellar, as expected of any Margarita Fores resto. My family loved everything except for the lechon--it was just fine. I highly recommend the Blue Crab spaghettini and the Muscovado Beef Belly. However, service could be better. We were seated at the upstairs area facing the window, and it was hard to call our servers attention. A few times, we had to repeat our requests for extra cutlery. Also, the batchoy ramen took almost 40 minutes to arrive. By then, my 7 year old niece was quite hangry. And even though my reservation mentioned that I was there to celebrate my birthday, the staff didn't seem to notice--which was awkward since they sang for the other tables about 4 separate times... LOL. Even my family was urging me to let them know, but by then I was a bit annoyed. Now yes, the place was busy. But I still expected better service considering our 5 digit bill. Next time, I'm going with a smaller group and sitting at the common area. Maybe we'll be served better then.

We had lunch at Grace Park and my family truly enjoyed the food and dessert. Our favorites are the lechon negros and the muscovado belly. Kare-kare was also great, it comes with alamang and bagoong fish. For dessert, we had the the tres leches cake and the chocolate lava with pastillas. The latter was super good, we wished thought it comes with a stick bread that you can dip in to the choco lava. Our server Tina was also super warm and friendly! We will be back, absolutely!

Had a wonderful meal at Grace Park! We tried the longanisa breakfast, muscovado belly, and the squash flower appetizer that are all flavorful and beautifully prepared. The squash flower dish was especially interesting and unique. As a big fan of iced tea, I loved that they served Ivatan iced tea such a refreshing treat! Great food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service. Can’t wait to come back 🙂

The restaurant prides itself with their delicious take on Filipino dishes, and they definitely did not disappoint. Food was definitely amazing, with the Penne with Ilonggo Chorizo Cream being the clear standout among what we ordered. The steak, was seasoned just right which allows one to enjoy either the gravy or cheese sauce that comes along with it. But a sprinkle of salt goes a long way. Moreover, getting that 500g cut for a fraction of a price compared to other steak houses is a great deal. The Filipino in me went for the Laing because i’ve heard amazing stuff about it, and it did not disappoint. Kudos to Tina for the great experience. Will definitely be back.

Went for dinner last night and we loved it! It was a chill, uncomplicated, and very satisfying dinner. Both of our entrées were delicious, however, I really didn’t care for the cuatro leches cake. I thought it was too dense and not really sweet but my boyfriend liked it. Lastly, our waiter Elli was lovely. Super attentive, friendly and sweet.

1st time dinning on Sunday noon. I’ve been meaning to try this place. Staff is friendly and attentive and the decor nicely done. Sunday provides the lechon so I had to try.Iit was good with the sweet pickled santol and the traditional sauce. It was tasty and good, but I’m a lechon kawali type of guy. I give the Filipina Salad a 5 star, I like the crispy shaved daing and the freshness of the greens. The dressing was light and balanced well also with the salted egg. The menu is varied and can satisfy any other appetite.

Food is great. Tried the Bulalo and Lechon Laing. Would recommend the Laing. Super sarap. Bulalo is so savory. Bohol Takla is not for me. I did not like the crawfish. Fettuccini with truffle cream is so good and filling. Staff are nice. Thank you for the complimentary dessert for Mama’s birthday.

My wife, friend and I went to this amazing restaurant yesterday. I have to say this place was REALLY delicious!! First it has a very nice atmosphere and a long sit down bar. All 3 of the ladies working there were so friendly and accommodating. It took a little longer than usual to get our food because there was a really large group of 20+ people having a party, but trust me it was worth the wait. I ordered the Double Cheeseburger and fries. I will be very honest, it was by far the best burger I have ever eaten in the Philippines. In fact it was as good if not better than any burger I have eaten in the US. My wife had the Hungarian Sausage and she loved it. But it was that Cheeseburger that won the day. She also had chicken isaw, which they barbecue just in front of the restaurant. She told me it was super good. (I can't tell you myself, because I don't really like this food) As we were finishing up our food, the owner of the establishment, Ben, came over and was nice enough to have a conversation with us. What a nice and personable man. Take my word for it, this place needs to at the top of your list of places to go and eat if you are in Manila. Especially us Americans who find it nearly impossible to find a good hamburger in the Philippines. I wish I had photos to share, but we were more interested in eating that photo's.

This has been a favorite watering hole of my childhood (male) friends for years. I’m glad I was finally able to join them. The place is cozy, unpretentious, and welcoming. Food is simple yet good, though most of the dishes on their menu were not available that evening. Crowd is a good mix of locals and foreigners. I like how relaxed the place is. Now I understand why my friends love the place.

An excellent bar in the heart of Manila, the Oarhouse is one of those old-school jaunts frequented by both the young and the young-at-heart alike. Visiting patrons will be drawn to it's wooden furniture, marble-top bar, and it's lovingly-tended feel complete with actual oars for decor, making you feel right at home with the friendly service and great pub fare. Not a place to be missed whether you're in the city for a long time or just passing through.

One of the few remnants of old Malate, this cozy little pub still has its charm, with good grub, interesting patrons, and affordable drinks. They continue to serve cocktails by the pitcher, but now there’s also a selection of craft beers. The pulutan, like sisig and kinilaw, are reliably tasty. 2025 update: Half of the cocktail pitchers are out of stock, including my favorite mango daiquiri (sigh), but I did enjoy both the nachos and the tuna sisig. Prices are definitely creeping up, though—inflation is hitting hard

Glad I decided to pop in here a few days ago, amazing and friendly staff. The food is top-tier at very affordable prices, will be here regularly during my trip to try and have all the popular dishes on the menu! One of the few safe havens in the area as a foreigner where you’re not getting pressured or propositioned to come inside, their reputation speaks for itself in the food they provide and how they treat you. Highly recommend!

Some thing might have changed. --------- When COVID restriction were easing up last year in Manila, I was itching to visit a bar and have some good food along the way. I checked the reviews and I ended up visiting Oarhouse. It probably was a good decision! I loved the staff. They were extremely friendly and since most of them speak Bisaya, I was able to connect with them easily. Strike up a conversation with the staff! The prices are relatively cheap considering the portion sizes. I love their schnitzel and sisig. You don't need to drink here. You can just drop by for dinner. They offer cocktails and if you are in a group, the pitcher would be the best choice. WORTH MULTIPLE VISITS. And the isaw baboy is great!

The must visit speak easy bar in Manila. No other than the late great Anthony Bourdain visited this place for a booze. Been here for a number of times and the Nachos and Chicharon Bulaklak is what I recommend. Beers always below zero cold. Owner, staff and the people inside very accommodating..that's the atmosphere.

Kinda hard to find since the entrance looks like the front door of a house and there is no sign, just braile. But if you find it you either have to have a reservation or hope that there is space inside. Once inside, the bar is very dark but still navigable. Its very a chill and quiet place to hang out. They specialize in cocktails. They dont have mocktails but they can convert a normal cocktail into mocktail by removing the alcoholic components. The cocktails are a bit pricy but the atmosphere and the gimicky cocktails makeup for it. There also food options if you are feeling hungry but its also a bit pricy. Overall, this bar is chill and good place to unwind.

This place has such a chill vibe, perfect for winding down. I never feel awkward going solo, which is a huge plus for me. The bartenders are always friendly and make you feel welcome. Fel the bartender is seriously the best part of my stays here. Her drinks are always on point, and they're super friendly. It's definitely become my go-to spot. Highly recommend checking this out!

One of the best bars in Manila imho. Perhaps the only place I feel comfortable going to. Good cocktails, great service and perfect ambience! The restroom could use a little renovation but I won’t hold that against you 😊

Awesome little speakeasy in the Makati area. The drinks here are awesome, and the bar bites are nice as well. I really enjoyed the bacon wrapped dates, and the arancini were good as well. Friendly service and cool atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Very cool spot, was hard to find but that’s part of the experience. Look for this door tucked away and give it a knock. The environment inside is so chill, super quiet, and dimly lit, perfect for feeling like you’re in a genuine speakeasy.

First time to try here and loved the experience! Will definitely come back again to try other drinks. Tried the bramble and it’s delicious. Classy ang vibes and perfect ‘to if gusto mo yung hindi crowded and maingay na place. Must visit!

Staff was very knowledgeable about their selection and drinks. We ordered a lot of "Bartender's Choice" which was basically asking for custom drinks. We really enjoyed this one drink where we asked "Do you have anything strong and sweet?" and we got this orange based drink with 1800 silver. It was incredibly smooth. We ordered this one drink probably four times and on the second round we asked if it could be tweaked to be stronger and they really delivered. They have food options too if you're a bit hungry. The Truffle fries looked enjoyable.

One of the best options around Poblacion for dining, Filipino foods with a twist, not overly expensive, fun menu and drinks options. Great for a light meal and a cocktail before a night out. Nice balcony area overlooking the chaos below.

We loved the food here so much that we visited twice during our trip to the Philippines. The beef bulalo was absolutely mind-blowing, it’s hard to forget the taste. Ronnie’s service was excellent, and he even gave us a complimentary shot treat

love Alamat! The staff were all super friendly, attentive, warm, and polite. I honestly thought the pares quesadillas sounded a bit odd at first, but wow, they were so good! Ill definitely come back for that one. The cocktails are reasonably priced too. 💯 Would totally recommend this bar to anyone visiting Poblacion for the first time!

Brought my balikbayan friend here for dinner on a weeknight and we loved everything. If we were to change our orders, we’d love to swap the sisig for bagnet or bbq. A bit on the pricier side but that’s what you get for dining at a notorious place for afams. Service was topnotch

Staff were very accommodating ~ from the reservation and planning of birthday surprise to our server Ronnie who gave us free shots, mango sorbetes, and a polaroid film! 🩵 Food was great too!

Mushroom chicharon is a must-try! Salmon sinigang is also good. I love the music and the vibes, medjo conversation friendly.

Very good restaurant, was on my list to come and visit and try out their French style cuisine . tasty starters that we asked to share and we both had the hanger steak with fries and peppercorn sauce. There were a lot of other special options for main course but really felt like having a nice steak and weren’t disappointed. By far the best hanger steak ever had in the Philippines and by far the best fries had in the Philippines. Peppercorn sauce was good and asked for some extra mayonnaise- which I had the impression was freshly made. We also had 2 desserts on the a la carte menu and both dessert were stunning. Drinks wise - loved my sparkling wine, and a decent option for red and white wine. Very nice bar menu with various options for cocktails.

I had the most wonderful lunch at Metronome. We took our friend for her birthday and I am so happy we went for lunch! I love the menu options they provided for lunch. There was a bistro menu where you can choose a la carte dishes, a Main set menu that includes a starter, main and dessert or you can choose from a selected menu of dishes taken from their dinner menu. We opted to order from both. Our table started with the French Onion soup, which was so rich and satisfying a great start to lunch. (I was surprised they still had it on the menu especially with the onion shortage it is hard to find onions in Manila right now!). I absolutely loved the egg small plate/starter, it was so pretty we didn’t want to mix it all together. But it was one of my favorite dishes. 64° egg, cèpes and truffle cream, mushroom, potato purée, spring roll wrappers that were cut and looked like crispy noodles. It sounds like a rich and heavy starter but it was surprisingly light and so wonderful I couldn’t just have one bite. For the main dish our table ordered the Halibut, Spaghettini & Duck. We were very happy with all three. Each was very different my favorite was the Spaghettini and the Halibut - you can tell Chef Miko but her heart and soul into the menu. We ended with the chocolate mousse (I always have to order chocolate mousse at a French restaurant.) and coffee. It was a perfect ending to our lunch. The restaurant interior, vibe and the lunch service was so lovely. Bravo Metronome - I can’t wait to come back for dinner.

Went with their Tasting Menu (pre-order). We were seven in the group and went in for dinner. We all enjoyed the food!! Each dish was unique on its own and is very tasty. The restaurant is true to its roots as a French with a modern twist :) most of my companions favorite is the langoustine croustillant! Do also try their cocktails hehe really very good you wouldnt be disappointed. Will surely be back to have a go with their lunch service and also to try other items they offer ala carte :) It was a fantastic time at Metronome.

Totally amazing inspired 12-course curated dinner at the recent Meyronome 6-Hands Filipinas event by Miko Calo, Margarita Fores, and Johanna Siy. It was so delightful to savor new takes on Ulang RiverPrawns, Ukoy with Italian Shrimps, a super umami Abalone, and 3 Crabs in a dish. Wow. What a memorable dining experience by these wonderful Filipina chefs!

After a friend said that the tasting/set menu wasn’t that good, we decided to with the a la carte. Interiors are pleasant. Service is of course good. What I remember is how delicious that seafood appetizers were - the lobster spaghettini and uni risotto. The main course (my wife and I ordered seafood) was so-so in relation to the seafood appetizers. Maybe we should have tried the meat main course. Overall ok. But if we’re comparing new high-end restos like Toyo, Gallery by Chele, and Metronome which all require downpayments prior to eating - you should choose Chele.

We spent my bf's birthday here. Loved the ambience, the food is good, the staff are friendly and accommodating. I reserved a few days before his birthday and asked if they can give a piece of cake with a candle. On the day, they actually messaged me and didn't see the message! But still gave it anyway after our meal, it was a funny interaction. overall a great place. Would definitely go back there for some coffee while I work :)

Nice place to chill, very friendly staff and they make sure you always have water on your glass or at least whenever they can. All the food we had are good, paella we had was a little salty but if it was a little less salty it would have been perfect, also I wished that the paella had a little more of the rice maybe add at least 100-200grams more, as it was too little but they were generous with the other ingredients included in. Overall everything was great just add a little more rice to the paella and it will be perfect, just a little bit underwhelming lang din kc to scoop the rice na halos flat layer lang I wish madagdagan lang kahit a little bit more.

Came here with an Eatigo reservation. Portions are huge and tasty! Each ingredient used was fresh and we loved that most about Mijo! Service was also so prompt and generous–we got banana upside down as complementary dessert! Thank you team Mijo! 🙏

Mijo proved to be a delightful discovery on my first visit, feeling like a hidden gem in Poblacion that deserves to be shared. Their thoughtfully curated menu, while not extensive, speaks volumes about their commitment to quality over quantity. The food certainly lived up to expectations. We sampled the Iberian Chicken, Sisig Tacos, and Chorizo Fries, each leaving a distinct impression. The house-made chorizo in the Chorizo Fries was a standout – truly perfect and easily ranks among the best I've ever tasted. The Sisig Tacos were incredibly delicious ("masarap, masarap!"). The sisig boasted a wonderful crispiness. While they leaned towards the pricier side, the quality definitely justified the cost. The Iberian Chicken was also enjoyable. However, I found the balsamic dressing on the accompanying side salad to be a bit too tangy for my preference. Taking advantage of their one-buy-one-get-one cocktail offer, we opted for the Gin Basil Smash. Initially, it presented with a strong citrusy note, but it mellowed out and became more balanced as it diluted slightly. The service was commendable. Despite being walk-ins, we were readily accommodated by a friendly staff. For those who smoke, they also have a designated smoking area. Additionally, the restroom was clean and well-equipped with handwashing facilities and soap. However, it's worth noting that parking in the area is quite limited. Also, Mijo is situated on the second floor and unfortunately is not wheelchair accessible I'm already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of Mijo's menu.

If good Spanish food near makati poblacion area is what you’re craving for then Mijo has your back. I appreciate it that they give you an option on how cook you want your paella to be. Their rib eye steak is also tasty especially if you order a creamed spinach on the side. I highly recommend this place. P.s. it’s not pwd friendly. It’s on the 2nd floor with no elevator access.

One star is already generous. They market themselves as “luxury,” but the staff’s ego outshines everything else—especially the bouncer at the entrance. I’ve been here multiple times and this isn’t an isolated incident. He treats guests differently every time. We were made to wait just to confirm the table under our name. Instead of checking properly, he yelled at the host from the door, who obviously didn’t hear him. Then he decided to entertain other guests first and ignored us. If I hadn’t followed up with the female bouncer, we probably wouldn’t have gotten in at all. Even after the host confirmed our reservation, he still stopped us and asked again if we were “good to go.” I’ve been to plenty of bars in BGC, and I’ve never experienced this level of arrogance and poor treatment so consistently. For a place that claims to be high-end, the hospitality is absolutely trash.

It was our first time at Revel at the Palace, and we were truly impressed by how accommodating the staff were. They made sure we were comfortable and safe especially since we were a group of five ladies. I also felt very secure, and the DJ last night was absolutely amazing! We’ll definitely be coming back ❤️

We’ve decided to go club hopping last minute during our Philippines trip and booked a magnum booth with Revel. The hostess, and all staff were great and amazing, specifically Ron, not only was he taking care of us so well but also we’ve upgraded our booth and it was a good decision. Highly recommended Revel and staff!

Over-all Revel is a really great place to party. Though sometimes they need to align the music with their audience. What I really like the most are the staff. Very friendly and accomodating especially the receptionist.

There really ain't much to say about the place, good food, cold drinks, and chill atmosphere. Place is nice, cool, and bright, definitely the place you'd want to chill in when you're tired after work or just want to have a few drinks. Been drinking here for the past 7 years, never had any problems or any bad experiences. They've got your usual selection of beer staples with san miguel products plus a few craft beers from Pinatubo and Boondocks. They also have cocktails that can be served either in a glass or a pitcher na hindi tinipid, you can even watch them actually make it right at the bar. Food is definitely better than most other typical places you'd drink in. Common drinking pulutan like fries and onion rings are better than you'd expect but if you're gonna eat might as well just go and eat dinner too cause all of the things in their menu are definitely a must try especially if you get there on the right day when they have either baboy damo or usa. You'd want to check their social media accounts too cause they frequently have some sort of event or meets happening all the time in collaboration with different groups or The Hub just next door. If you've never heard or seen Escolta block party before, you might want to look it up.

Service was good. 👍 But please don't order their empanada if you don't like the smell of shawarma(like me) 🥺, love their chicken wings btw, so juicy. And they do have Smirnoff, so ➕➕➕ 🫶🏼

My go to bar in Manila. 🤙🏼 it is just beside Landbank-Escolta and near Sta. Cruz Church. Just along the Escolta street. Better check their place.

Cool place to hang out in after a long day walking around Chinatown or Divisoria. Not a posh lounge, but more like a homey barkada spot for some good alternative music, craft beers, and quirky fixtures. Lots of easter eggs that would be a joy for history buffs to discover.

Escolta’s gem 🍻 just a laidback bar, enough for a chill time with your buddies. Serves local brews too!

Already found my favorite craft beer joint near Chinatown of Manila. Their local brews are amazing. Having Boondocks Session Ale from Quezon. Only 140 pesos. That’s a steal deal.

Very great experience! The ambiance of the place is just great. Food selection is good, they have wide variety of mouth watering dishes. Great place to have a beer or two afterwork. Will surely go back! 👍👍

This small establishment has one of the most coziest ambiance in the area. Their garden designs everywhere from furnitures to wall fixtures which was relaxing and calming at the same time. Here’s what we ordered: Thai Me Up (Php 250) their own version of mojito. It was ok. Not my top mojito mix. Bao Wow (Php 175) taste was good but the serving portion isn’t worth the price. Pok pok bites (Php 190) great pica pica with drinks. I wish we ordered this one again instead of Bao Wow.

Food is a bit pricey. Small servings, but it tastes pretty good. Very nice ambience. Do not order wine, it costs too much for a small serving. Good music, kind staff. Nice outdoor area.

Big area, good for groups. They have Red Horse too! You get free popcorn with your drinks. They refill it as well. Was here on Independence Day and they gave free tequila shots!

Great outdoor patio with a great food selection. If your in the area, can't go wrong. You need to try the baos and the chicken wings. Skip the tacos, but do pocpoc chicken and beer.

Head upstairs if you'd want a more chill cozy vibe. I personally liked the seats by the window. Downstairs is where the dancing happens from my impression of it. Didn't enjoy the cocktails so much. Overall an okay place but it doesn't hold up compared to the other bars in the area, in my opinion.

A welcome addition to Poblacion, although if you're expecting this to have the same vibe as TodayxFuture in Cubao you'd be a bit disappointed. The dance floor is decently sized, but the space between the bar and the comfort rooms may prove a challenge especially during peak hours.

Popped in here in the last quarter of party evening (2am -eyes are still open) and was greeted with a bouncing dance floor. The DJ knew what the crowd liked and funneled grooves like clean brushstrokes of oil on canvass. For moment there the crowd's heartbeat was one with the baseline. Given the pressing societial and global ptoblems, places like these are breeding ground for creativity and the seldom caught fun times. Pump it up Futur:ist! Much love to you guys!.
